Past Lives pt.3
Wednesday x witch!reader
"I've got this strangest feeling."
"This isn't our first time around."
Summary: Wednesday drags you into the woods during the harvest festival.
a/n: I'm starting to get tired of writing in 3rd person so I'm going to be experimenting with perspectives this part. If I enjoy it I might go back and change the previous two parts to first person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Are you sure you can trust that normie?"
Enid and I are watching as Tyler is arguing with his father. Y/n left after the Tyler's appearance.
A part of me wished she stayed, she doesn't pretend to get along with me.
"I trust I can handle myself." I say, thoughts of you lingering in my mind.
The festival illuminates the dark night, the lights of the attractions drawing shadows of the people walking by. The colors stabbing needles in my eyes.
I usually enjoy that sensation.
"Well, good luck and safe travels." Enid reaches out for an embrace. I take a step back, evading her touch.
"Still not a hugger, got it." Enid lowers her arms before heading towards the attractions.
I notice Weems from afar, watching my every move. I am going to need a way to distract her.
After a moment of exploring I find an attraction where you throw darts at balloons attached to a wall, the prize lacks colors. Not that I want the prize anyways, I just need it to be believable.
I throw the first couple darts, balloons popping in quick succession. Xavier approaches, resting his elbows on the counter.
"Jeez, if you get any better at this you'll be taking home a whole pack." He says while I throw another dart, followed by the pop of another balloon.
I am unsure of how to feel about Xavier so far. All I know outside of me accidentally rescuing him years ago is that he's friends with Y/n.
"Panda's don't travel in packs, they prefer solitude."
I say, the sound of a balloon popping annunciating the period.
"Alright, subtle hint taken." His eyes shift from me to the board.
I look at him for a moment. "You should know I'm waiting for someone." I say, not realizing the possible implication of the statement.
"Oh yeah? Who's the lucky guy? or girl." He has a hint of hope on his face, but not for himself.
"What does it matter to you?" I say, Tyler approaching from behind. The hope on Xavier's face was replaced with annoyance.
"Didn't mean to interrupt."
"You're not." Xavier says, walking between Tyler and I, the energy radiating off him.
With him and Y/n being friends and having similar reactions to Tyler, it makes me wonder if he's done something to them.
I look to Tyler for a moment, possibilities forming in my head. It doesn't matter, I'm just using him anyways.
"This is gonna be trickier than I thought." Tyler's voice pulls me out of my head.
"Dad hit me with a curfew. We need to go if I'm gonna make it back in time."
"I've got some dead weight I need to lose first." I look over Tyler's shoulder to Weems who is eating a burger.
"Meet me behind the parking lot when the fireworks start." I say, Tyler nodding before walking off.
The man running the attraction approaches with a panda stuffed animal. "You see that sad, lonely woman over there?" I take out twenty dollars, holding it between my index and middle fingers.
"She needs this pathetic validation more than I do. Would you mind distracting her?"
The man silently agrees, bringing the stuffed animal to Weems. When she looks away from me I sneak off towards the parking lot.
Tumblr media
I'm hanging out with Enid when Tyler and Wednesday pass by.
"So she's actually leaving?" I say, disappointment in my voice. I'm gonna miss her existing with me in the dorm room.
"I mean, that's what the plan is." Enid takes a sip from her drink, eyeing me suspiciously.
"Why?" Enid's eyes glisten, wanting to know everything about everyone.
I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know."
"You sure you don't know?" Enid wiggles her eyebrows at you.
I raise an eyebrow at her. "What does that even mean?"
"I just think you might, y'know, like like her. No one misses a new roommate after one day." Enid says, fidgeting with her straw.
I feel a wave a heat rush over my face. "No! what are you talking about."
"OMG you so totally do!" If being a werewolf came with a tail, Enid's tail would be wagging so fast she would be flying.
"No! I just think." I pause for a second, flustered by the accusations.
I haven't thought about it yet, do I like her? I mean she is pretty, but I don't know her.
"Just think what?"
"I don't know, she's just pretty that's all!"
Enid's face beams. "Ah! that's so cute!"
Enid was going to continue speaking until we get distracted by Wednesday and Tyler running past us.
"Wednesday?" I say, looking back to Enid who is gesturing me to go.
I started to run after her, hearing Enid shout from behind. "Go get her girl!" She might as well have painted my face red.
I finally catch up. "Wednesday!" This causes her to turn to me, bumping into Rowan as she enters another vision.
Tyler and I are quick to grab her as she falls. "What just happened?!" Tyler asks before she comes back to reality.
Wednesday stands, readjusting her balance before staring at Rowan.
"Wednesday we need to go." Tyler says urgently. Wednesday's eyes shift to me before she starts chasing after Rowan, grabbing me by the wrist.
"What's happening Wednesday?" I say, trying to keep up with Wednesday's speed as she drags me.
"Rowan come back!" Wednesday let's go of my wrist after my feet catch up.
After a few seconds of running, Wednesday turns to look at me.
"Do you have your wand?"
"Yeah, I always do."
Air quickly fills and leaves my chest, my legs burning at the sudden activity.
Soon we both catch up to Rowan in the woods. My eyes take a minute to adjust to the sudden darkness.
Rowan brings his inhaler to his face, taking a deep breath in.
"Rowan, wait!" Wednesday's steps lessen as we get closer
Rowan groans, annoyed. "What do you want? Why are you following me."
I look at Wednesday, wanting to know what's happening. I know she had a vision, but what did she see?
"I don't have time to explain, but you're in danger." Wednesday responds with a serious tone. This is the first time I've heard her this serious, she usually has a sarcastic tone to her voice.
Rowan chuckles for a moment. "I think you've got it backwards." He looks between us, deciding what to do.
I start to reach for my wand, his eyes following my hand.
Rowan reaches a hand towards me. I start flying through the air, it feels like an invisible hand is twisting my body controlling how I'm landing.
"Y/n!" Wednesday shouts before I hit my head on landing. My hair fading to white as I lose consciousness.
Tumblr media
I wake up in the nurses office, quickly sitting up and instantly regretting it. My snow white hair in my face while the world spins around me.
The office is filled with daylight, what time is it?
I realize my hair is white before moving it out of my face.
"Shit." I mutter to myself, looking around to see if anyone's around before trying to stand.
When I stand, I almost fall as I stabilize my feet. I see my wand on the night stand.
I grab my wand, gripping it tightly as to not drop it.
As I approach the bathroom, I stumble onto the wall before practically falling through the doorway.
I meet my own gaze in the reflection of the mirror, my hair white and messy.
I rest one hand on the sink, putting all my weight on it, as I bring my wand to the top of my head.
The color y/h/c starts to fade back into my hair, starting from the roots to tip.
Now that looks more like me, well besides how out of it I look.
I go to leave the bathroom, falling to the ground past the doorway.
"Y/n!" There are quick steps as the nurse approaches me trying to stand.
"What are you doing out of bed?" She grabs my forearm before guiding me back to the bed.
"Wait here a moment, I'll bring your medicine." The nurse walks to a closet as I stay sitting up.
My head was throbbing, the world spinning around me.
She leaves the closet after a moment with a small bottle that is rapidly bubbling, some sort of steam emanating from it.
"Drink every last drop and you should be able to attend some of your classes today." Our nurse was the only other witch in the school, most magic parents aren't too keen on sending their child to a town that is known for burning witches in the past.
I start to drink the potion, the liquid bubbling down my throat, causing me to gag.
"It doesn't taste too good." I say, as I finish drinking the potion. The nurse grabs the bottle from my hand.
"Well it's not grape-flavored, I'll tell you that." The nurse gives me a smile before going to return the bottle.
The world soon stabilizes around me, my head no longer throbbing.
I stand, finding it ten times easier.
"Fascinating isn't it?" I hear the nurse from the other room. "I've always loved healing magic."
I look towards her. "I would say it's just like magic, but it literally is."
The nurse smiles at me. "If you're feeling better you may head to class."
Tumblr media
I walk into my carnivorous plants class, everyone already in seats as class was already going on.
"Ah Y/n! glad to see you're okay." Ms. Thornhill interrupts herself to bring her attention to me. "Go ahead and take any seat like usual."
I was going to find my original seat next to Xavier until I see Wednesday sitting alone.
I take a moment to decide before taking the seat next to her, meeting Xavier's eyes as he gives me a knowing glance causing me to roll my eyes.
My glance moves to Wednesday as I find her looking at me, more specifically my hair.
"Hey Wednesday." Her gaze moves from my hair to my eyes.
Her look has concern in it, as if she's asking 'Are you okay,' through her eyes. Too scared of the intimacy of actually asking.
Ms. Thornhill was helping a student independently giving us a moment to talk.
"Why did your hair turn white last night, after you lost consciousness."
I look at Wednesday, thinking about what I should share.
"That white is my natural hair color, I was just raised to hide it so I guess I still do it out of habit."
Wednesday stares off to the side for a moment.
"What does it mean?"
After a moment of silence I decide to tell her, I open my mouth to explain until I'm interrupted by Ms. Thornhill addressing the class.
"Wednesday." Both of our heads perk up.
"We are thrilled to have join us on our journey into the world of carnivorous plants." Thornhill walks in front of her desk, next to a plant in a glass case.
"Now, who can tell us the name of this beauty?"
Thornhill addresses the flower in the case with her hand. Bianca is the first to raise her hand.
I'm also not the biggest fan of Bianca, she supposedly used her Siren Song on my friend Xavier to manipulate him. I don't really know too many details about it, but I know she hurt my friend and that's enough for me.
"Dendrophylax lindenii." Wednesday answers without raising her hand, trying to get ahead of Bianca.
Bianca slowly lowers her hand, with a little bit of attitude. "Otherwise known as the Ghost Orchid."
"First discovered on the Isle of Wight in 1854." Wednesday says, not even a moment after Bianca is done speaking.
Thornhill looks surprised at Wednesday's knowledge. "Very good, Wednesday!"
Thornhill turns her gaze to Bianca. "You may have competition for first chair, Bianca."
I find myself smirking at the annoyance building up on Bianca's face, shifting my weight onto my elbows on the table to get a better view.
"Wednesday, perhaps you can identify the Ghost Orchid's greatest qualities."
Bianca shifts her expression from annoyance to confidence. Moving her gaze to Wednesday with that emotion written on her face.
"Resilience and adaptability." Wednesday remains unmoved, her posture as perfect as ever. "It's able to thrive in even the most hostile environments."
"But it's mere presence can change the ecosystem, causing the established plants to reject it." Bianca butts in, trying to one up Wednesday.
"Usually because the native species is allowed to thrive unchecked. Nothing a weedwacker couldn't fix." Wednesday states, definitively.
"You can most certainly try."
I can feel the tension between the two, meeting Xavier's eyes for a moment.
"Are we still talking about flowers?" Xavier adds, causing the class to release a light laugh. Alleviating a bit of the tension.
"Thank you ladies, for those, illuminating insights." Ms. Thornhill brings the attention back to her.
"Clearly the plants aren't the only carnivores in class today."
I look between Wednesday and Bianca, sensing the rivalry building between the two.
Tumblr media
I'm with Enid helping with the boat for the Poe Cup. It's a beautiful fall day, the air slightly chilly, the leaves in the trees different shades of red, yellow, and orange.
Wednesday starts approaching from the school, heading to our team's boat. Specifically to Enid. "I have to get back to the woods, but Weems has been watching me like a vulture circling a carcass."
"And you want me to cover so you can go back to the crime scene that didn't happen?" Enid asks, teasingly.
"Crime scene?" I break my focus from painting the boat. "What are you talking about?"
"Oh you don't know? Wednesday has been saying how Rowan was killed by a monster while he now walks around the school. Y'know, very much alive."
Wednesday scowls Enid with her eyes.
"What if she is telling the truth?" Something glistens in Wednesday's eyes when she looks at me. "We go to a school with vampires and werewolves, but this isn't possible? Plus, I don't think Wednesday is the type of person to lie for attention."
Enid shrugs while she continues painting. "Why don't you ask Y/n to be the distraction?"
Wednesday looks back to Enid. "That's because she will be coming with me to investigate."
I turn my head to Wednesday with a slightly confused expression. Am I? I wasn't aware of this.
Wednesday sees my confusion, I can see her asking through her eyes as I take a deep breath.
I can't say no to her.
Enid looks back to Wednesday, taking her eyes off the boat. "Okay then, why don't you ask Thing? Oh wait you can't because he's mad at you."
"Why's he mad? he's the one who screwed up."
Enid goes back to focusing on painting while shrugging. "All I know is that we spent an hour giving each other manis, and he really opened up. He feels you doesn't respect him as a person."
"Technically he's only a hand."
"Wednesday, he's your family! And he would do anything for you. Go apologize and I'll reconsider helping you."
Wednesday looks around for a moment before meeting my eyes, gazing into them for a moment before walking away.

— cw: implied alcohol consumption, implied dub-con ("consented" while intoxicated; fade to black)
Victor: Miss Kate, may you reach the happiest end with your hands.
V: ——Now, off you go to the twisted fairytale world.
When I awoke, I was on top of the bed within a beautiful castle.
(...This place...)
When I looked around, I realized it was all around silent, as if my surroundings were being blanketed by a curtain of night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blond-haired, blue-eyed man: ...Are you awake?
(...Such a pretty person. In fact, I’ve never seen anyone more so than him.)
Blond-haired, blue-eyed man: Good morning, Snow White.
(Wait, I’m Snow White!? So that must mean I was sent to the world of Snow White.)
Kate: ...Um, I apologize for my rudeness seeing as we’ve only just met, but may I ask who you are?
Queen Elbert: ...Elbert. Or as I’m called, ‘the Greedy Queen.’
(This person is the queen?)
In the fairy tale Snow White, the queen was a character who envied the beauty of Snow White, and so she tried to use a poisoned apple to kill her.
(So this person might be the perpetrator of this world’s flaws?)
Kate: ...And why am I in this castle?
Queen Elbert: That’s because the hunter, Roger...
—— Flashback ——
Roger the Hunter: Hey, you there? This lil lady here fainted in the forest.
Queen Elbert: ...I am here.
—— End flashback ——
Kate: The nerve he has to treat people like objects! ...But, thank you for saving me.
This world was slightly different from the events of its fairy tale.
(...It must be because of that ‘missing thing.’)
Queen Elbert: ...Snow White.
Kate: Y-yes...
His [1] rather intense staring rendered me stiff as the beautiful queen tilted his head.
Queen Elbert: Are you hungry?
He took me to the dining room table, where a plethora of dishes were lined up.
(Whoa...there’s fluffy bread, corn potage, and even dessert!)
(Wait, wait, but what if there’s poison in them...)
Queen Elbert: ...Is there something you are unable to eat?
Kate: Ah, um... no.
He pulled back the seat, urging me to sit, before he sat one chair’s length away.
It was as though he was being considerate of how cautious I was.
Kate: Why go this far for me? This is the first time we’ve met, after all.
Queen Elbert: ...Why, you ask... I am looking for the most beautiful thing in the world.
Queen Elbert: And perhaps you may be that very thing.
The smile in his blue eyes was laced with madness and beautifully frightening,
but that faded the next moment like a summer mirage.
Queen Elbert: ...That, and I did not want you to be alone.
Kate: Alone?
Queen Elbert: ...I was thinking being alone the first thing you wake up would be quite lonely.
Madness and kindness... I felt both were a part of his true feelings, and I felt the caution slowly melt away.
Kate: I, too, am looking for a ‘missing thing.’
Queen Elbert: Oh, then... maybe asking Al would do you good.
Kate: Al?
Queen Elbert pointed to a single portrait,
where he and the profile of another person was painted.
Queen Elbert: He is my attendant, Alfons Sylvatica. And he is my mirror.
Kate: A mirror...
Queen Elbert: He will tell me whether something is beautiful... along with many other things.
(Um, so basically I should go and see this Alfons the Mirror person?)
Kate: And where might he be?
Queen Elbert: ??...? (O_O)
Queen Elbert: ...I wonder.
(What.)
After getting permission from Queen Elbert, I searched within the castle, but...
(He’s not here.)
(Or here.)
(He’s nowhere to be found! Which means he’s not in the castle then?)
???: You seem to be in quite a pinch, Snow White. If you’re looking for Alfons the Mirror, he’s at the pub.
(Wh—just now, someone’s voice...)
There on the windowsill was a small bird, the color of night.
Kate: A talking bird...?
Little bird: Talking I do. Here is the twisted fairytale world. So things here might go beyond what you know as common sense.
(I guess that’s true...)
Kate: So he’s at the pub? Thank you for telling me.
Little bird: Oh, and be careful so the back of your neck doesn’t get touched. For he possesses the ability to temporarily overwrite your perceptions.
Little bird: Well then, I’ll be going now!
And so, I left the castle and stepped into the pub, where a salacious fragrance wafted.
(That jet-black haired man from that portrait...)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alfons the Mirror: For the Snow White who has awakened from her slumber. Would you care for an apple, by any chance?
Alfons the Mirror: ...Ahh, such lines do seem to reflect Elbie well, I’d say.
There he was, the person from the portrait.
Kate: Are you Alfons?
Alfons the Mirror: Indeed, I am that ‘Alfons’ in the flesh. And what brings you waltzing into a place like this so nonchalantly?
Alfons the Mirror: And here I was thinking you would rather be spoiled rotten by that collecting-crazed queen.
(If I’m to get any information, I need to speak openly about the situation I’ve been put into.)
Kate: Actually...
—— Time skip ——
Alfons the Mirror: So you wish to find this ‘missing thing’ to return to reality, I see. And why is it so important that you find it?
Kate: Huh?
Alfons the Mirror: I would imagine there is a mountain of ways you can return back? What need is there to get so bent on finding this missing thing?
Kate: And what other methods are you talking about?
Alfons the Mirror: Oh, you know, hitting your head somewhere, drowning in some river, or dropping dead then and there, all that jazz.
(...Some ‘methods’ those are...)
From the few minutes we’ve been talking, it was more or less pretty clear to me that this person was quite villainous.
Kate: It may be as you say. But... I can’t think that I’m the only one that needs saving.
K: If I find the root of this missing thing, this world won’t be twisted any longer. That is my happy end.
Alfons: Ahha! You foolishly earnest soul, you.
A: Compared to protecting yourself, the fact that this world is twisted and the matters of others is such trivial matters, you know.
Kate: You didn’t need to call me foolish... but anyway, is there a missing thing in this world then?
Alfons the Mirror: Maybe? Or maybe not.
Kate: Then do your best to remember.
Alfons the Mirror: Hmm... it does seem to be on the tip of my tongue...
With an ostentatious air about him, Alfons handed me a cocktail, yellow in color.
Alfons the Mirror: Then, until I remember, may I ask you to join me for a cup?
Kate: ...But, I’m in the middle of searching...
Alfons the Mirror: But that thing won’t be found in a day or two, no? If you don’t take a breather once in a while, it’s going to bite you back, you know.
The voice in my ear and the cocktail he swirled before me caused my rationale to waver a bit.
(...He may have a point. It is true I’ve always been feeling a bit tense.)
Kate: Then... I’ll have a little.
Alfons the Mirror: By all means, go on and down it all. Master, one for me as well.
—— Time skip ——
In a small room at the back of the pub, two shadows swayed.
Alfons the Mirror: Hehe, come now... walk a bit more steady, why don’t you.
Kate: mmm...hic, I gan’t dring...any more...
Alfons the Mirror: Aha, you’re drunk through and through, I see.
When Alfons tried to lay Kate down on the bed, she grabbed tightly around his neck.
Alfons the Mirror: Oh dear...
Such a gesture stemmed from innocence, as if she was a child who lost her way back.
Alfons the Mirror: You shouldn’t embrace men with such a lonely look.
Alfons’ fingers slipped to the back of Kate’s neck as he murmured in her ear.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alfons the Mirror: I am your very precious lover. Now then, surrender your body and heart to me...
Kate: ...Al...fons?
Alfons the Mirror: How about we forget about aaall the troublesome stuff...
to be continued…

NOTES:
[1] I'm unsure about exactly what pronouns to use here; it was unclear (due to the way pronouns and subjects can be dropped or implied in Japanese). In Elbert's dark if story, for the majority he is referred to with feminine pronouns, and he's referred to as a queen here. I just decided to use masculine pronouns here, but just note it could very much be feminine too.

JESSICA’S POV
As a Bene Gesserit, I possess supreme levels of discipline, including complete control over my emotions and urges. So how is it that I can feel my blood boil in anger and taste the bitterness of envy violate my tongue as I watch my own son woo the woman he claims as his? Why do I feel the strong urge to cut off his hand the moment it touched yours?
At first, I was confused by this foreign feeling, so I grew angry with myself. I didn’t understand what it was.
It first occurred when Paul, my only son, introduced you to me. A Fremen girl he has grown to fancy. I remembered how he gushed over you, clearly seeking his mother’s approval, my approval. But no words from his lips reached my interest for I had my focus solely on the divine creature presented to me. With a barely concealed amusement, I observed your fidgeting form battling the urge to look me straight in the eyes, it was clear to me that you were nervous, the reason may be from knowing that I am the Reverend Mother or maybe because it is I who birthed the Lisan al Gaib or simply because I am Paul’s mother, it mattered not to me. What mattered was the pleasant feeling that I get from your presence alone. Such a strange girl… However, my amusement ended swiftly when Paul held your hand in his. My breath hitched and my once relaxed hand turned to a fist as my vision started to bleed red.
What is happening to me?! Why do I feel this way?! I remembered muttering inside my head. I felt as if I was no longer in control of my own body. Fear clawed against my skin and with great haste, I silently spoke the litany of fear to calm myself. Careful not to expose the battle within to anyone present. Unfortunately, I find myself feeling the same way right now.
Not long after realization struck me like a ton of bricks. The dreadful realization that I simply covet you…the girl whom my son is in love with. I want you as much as he does… maybe even more so.
I blame my late Duke’s death for having these thoughts. Perhaps it is caused by the sudden loss of the man I loved that pushed me into having these strong urges towards you. Maybe I see him in you and I'm feeling lonely. Or maybe I’m just truly damaged and deranged that my head is now filled with such corrupted thoughts. I am desiring something or rather someone I can’t have.
But you will have her… she is yours… the voices in my head whisper.
“No, she’s with Paul… She belongs to my son,” I whisper back as I look at you longingly while hiding in the shadows.
She belongs to no one else but yours… Yours to love… yours to keep… yours to defile… yours to consume…
“Stop it… You have no idea what you’re saying. I cannot hurt Paul like that,” I weakly argue back as my eyes start to water with tears. I love my son dearly and because of that, I will fight hard against the voices… against my feelings. But deep inside I know I’m fighting a losing battle… I know that I have already lost.
_-_-_
Time passed and bit by bit my resolve crumbled and the thoughts of my son turned into nothing. Now, all I can think of is you… and the millions of other ways I can have you.
She is yours…
Claim her…
She is yours…
Claim her….
Eyes dark with lust and pure deranged obsession I look at you once more while hidden in the shadows as I whisper to myself, “She is mine and I will claim her.”
-_-_-
Y/N POV
"You're so beautiful, " Paul whispered in my ear, making me smile.
We've been sitting out here for some time now. Watching as the sun sets for the night.
"We better go inside, Paul. It's no longer safe to stay out at this hour"
Paul nodded in agreement before he pulled me up with him and we started to walk inside.
"Oh, I almost forgot. My mother wants to see you," I stopped when I heard what he said.
"Why?" I asked, trying to remain calm as much as possible.
Truth be told. Paul's mother, the Reverend Mother, scares me. She’s a Bene Gesserit, she walks in the shadows. No one truly knows what goes on in her mind. All I know is there’s something strong about her presence, but something that felt forbidden and so wrong. She is beautiful as much as she’s dangerous.
In simple terms, I don’t trust her.
"Don't worry, she just wants to talk," he gave me a reassuring smile before leaving me in front of the Reverend Mother's tent.
After taking a deep breath I made my presence known by going inside. My eyes wandered all over the unique decor of the Reverend Mother’s tent until it settled on the middle where there’s a small table with two cups filled with some kind of tea.
“Hello little one,” a sultry voice whispered suddenly into my ear, breaking me out of my thoughts and making me turn to see the Reverend Mother invading my personal space so sensually from behind.
“Forgive me, I didn’t mean to startle you,” she continued with a chuckle.
“No need to ask for forgiveness, Reverend Mother. You didn’t” I lied, trying to remain calm as I felt my cheeks heat up from our proximity. “Paul said that you asked to see me.”
“I did,” Her eyes were on me, filled with intent that I failed to decipher. She brushed her fingertips across my shoulder, causing goosebumps to run along my skin before she motioned for me to sit on the carpeted ground right next to the small table.
After I complied she walked towards me and immediately joined me by sitting close to my side, our clothed thighs lightly brushing against each other.
“Have some tea, I have it specially prepared for us,” she said while gesturing for me to take it, there's a challenging glint in her eyes, daring me to refuse.
With no intention to displease my lover’s mother, I complied and took a little sip. The moment it met my tongue I was surprised to find it very cooling.
“This is good”
“Yes, simple but very soothing. But, you must drink deeply for the full effect,” she said with amusement dripping from her voice.
Without any second thoughts, I did what I was told, and the Reverend Mother seemed satisfied with this as I can see it in her smile. Soon I was holding an empty cup. I had drained it and yet, I’m still thirsty.
“Would you like some more?” she asked.
“Y-yes, If it’s not much of a bother, Reverend Mother,” I replied, self-consciously rubbing the fabric over my hips.
“Not at all, and please... Call me Jessica” she replied, her eyes glinting with something dark as she carefully replenished my cup.
“As you wish, Jessica. May I know why I'm being summoned?” I breathed, my heart pounding in my chest as our gazes met before I took a generous sip from my drink. There was something undeniably alluring about her, something that both scared and excited me.
The weight of her eyes on me feels invasive like she could see through my cracks and discover all of my weaknesses. She’s watching me as if I’m her prey.
“You must understand, Y/N, I’m a determined woman. Whenever I have an agenda I’ll make sure to do everything in my power to achieve it. Whatever means necessary.” She muttered, leaning in close to my ear. Her warm breath sent shivers down my spine.
“Did Paul touch you yet?” Her tone was casual with her sudden question, but her eyes were anything but.
“Wh-what?,” I stuttered, feeling my cheeks flush not believing what I was hearing right now.
“Have you given yourself to my son, sexually?” she leaned in closer to me.
“Uh, n-no,” I stammered, my body trembling like a leaf.
“Are you being truthful with me?” she purred, her fingertips ghosting lightly along my exposed neck. It was such a simple yet surprisingly intimate gesture that it made me feel like the tent suddenly caught fire from how hot it was.
I shakily nodded while she only looked at me with satisfaction.
“Have you taken his gift of water yet? Or yours to him?” she asked, scooting closer. Her smell was intoxicating and it made my head spin.
“N-no…not yet. He wants to wait until we are to be married.”
The Reverend Mother snickered under her breath and continued. “I raised that boy and taught him everything I know so he’ll rise and fulfill his destiny one day. But now, I’m starting to have second thoughts. It seems to me he’s just as weak as his father. A beautiful morsel such as yourself standing so willingly at the palm of his hand and yet he never thought about fully claiming you as his. So sure that you’ll stay right where you are. I guess he never thought about someone stealing you away. Such a huge mistake on his part but a blessing for me.” she said with a wicked grin, her delicate fingers tracing slow circles on my forearm as if she were teasing me.
But before I could respond, I noticed that the tent was becoming increasingly warm. Worse, I was finding my body uncomfortably warm. My face was becoming flushed and I was panting. My suit was becoming very confining. How odd, I thought. I grew up wearing this suit, but now I desire nothing more than to get them off.
My eyes landed on my now empty cup next to the Reverend Mother’s. That’s when I realized that she’d never touched her cup, not even a single drop.
She followed my gaze to her cup before catching mine. Slightly tilting her head, she then smiled knowingly.
“I-I need to leave” I croaked back, fear creeping into my bones as alarm bells started ringing in my head.
But when I was about to stand up, I was immediately met with a sudden dizziness making me sit back down ungracefully.
It felt like my innards were being replaced by some kind of emptiness. I tried to stand again, desperate to leave the tent. I swayed just for a moment before the Reverend Mother caught me and pushed me down with my back against the carpet, a soft gasp of surprise leaving my lips.
She didn’t waste any time as she got on top of me and pinned my hands above my head in a tight grip, sharp nails digging against my skin but not breaking.
The Reverend Mother’s face was close to mine as she intently stared into my fear-filled eyes.
“Oh, no little girl. You’re not going anywhere,” she whispered above me.
Her face was blank from any emotion, but her eyes said it all.
“Did you poison me?” I whimpered. Her grip on my wrist tightened more than before, making me yelp in pain as she cut off the circulation of my blood.
“Of course not, I would never harm you without reason. Only to ensure your utmost obedience. The tea is for making you more pliant, not to kill.” she purred, leaning in close enough that our lips almost brushed. Her warm breath mingled with mine.
“What do y-you want from me?” I stammered, my voice barely audible.
She smiled maliciously at me before she started speaking.
“Isn’t it obvious, dear one? I want you.” one of her hands left my wrist and slowly traced my face with her fingers before she continued, “From the moment we met I already felt a certain pull towards you. I didn’t fully realize what it was until much later. Deep down I know you feel the same. That’s the reason why you went with Paul so that you could be closer to me.”
She’s starting to sound and look very much deranged. To my complete horror, she seems to believe her words to be true.
No…This can’t be happening. Paul… I’m with Paul!
I shook my head no but that was not what she was looking for. I yelped in pain from the sudden sting of her slap against my now-reddened cheek.
“Do not lie to me.” Her tone was assertive as she spoke every word.
“I’m not.” I cried weakly.
Another slap and tears started to run down my cheeks.
She leaned down and her warm wet tongue immediately tasted my despair with delight written all over her face.
“I don’t like hurting you. But know that I will when I deem it necessary. So you better give me the answer that I want, little girl. Don’t test my patience. Try again.”
I only shook my head once more, refusing to back down. This made her chuckle
”Such a stubborn girl. I’ll enjoy breaking and reshaping you into my good little girl.” she whispered next to my ear.
Is she for real? My mouth fell open as I struggled to say anything. Suddenly I heard footsteps outside the tent.
“Mother, is Y/N still with you?”
Hearing Paul’s voice almost made me tear up with joy thinking that this would all come to an end. But when I looked at the Reverend Mother it seemed like I was dead wrong. Instead of seeing a look of panic, she gave me a wicked grin.
“She is… come inside, my son. I want to show you something.”
Paul entered the tent and suddenly froze where he stood when his eyes landed on us. The woman he sires pinned underneath his own mother’s body.
“Wh-what is going on here?” Paul asked as he looked at us confused.
“Paul, help me, please. Your mother has lost her mind” I pleaded as he went closer.
“Mother! Get off her ri–”
“SILENCE!” Paul’s words were cut off as I saw his mouth shut in command. His eyes were immediately filled with betrayal and hurt when he realized that his mother used the voice on him. But his mother did not care at all, “Kneel and do not move” she commanded his son once more.
I looked at her as if she lost her mind. Perhaps she did.
“Oh don’t look at me like that, little one. For it is you who made me this way” she leaned over and planted a kiss on my cheek. I tried to jerk away but couldn’t. The kiss practically seared my skin like molten lava.
She pulled a dagger from under her robes and then turned towards his son, a slave to her command.
“You know very well that I love you, Paul. But unfortunately for you, my love for Y/N weighs more heavy. I won’t let you have her. She is mine…only mine. And you will watch as I claim her.” her attention then went back to me as she sliced through my stillsuit and garments beneath it. I am now completely naked to her eyes.
My head turned to Paul and saw the same panic set in his eyes. We were both sobbing and fearful of what was to come.
She laughed maliciously and roughly gripped my chin to look at her.
“Open your mouth” my breath hitched as I felt her voice crawl its way into my head. Not a second passed and my mouth opened.
“Take the gift of my water and you shall become one with me. Take it and you will be mine…forever.” she whispered before spitting into my mouth, “Swallow” she commanded before her lips descended against mine.
Her kiss was violent, forcing her tongue past my gritted teeth.
The tongue quickly found its way around my mouth and explored every inch. In parallel to that, her hands moved around and groped my breast. She slightly massaged them and pinched the erected nipples. It was not that the events aroused me. It was the cold that made my body like that.
The kiss ended after a while, me being out of the air while the older woman was looking crazier than before. She licked her lips another time before stripping her garments away. She moved and kneeled in front of my face, her warmth being right on top of my face. "Pleasure me, little one." She commanded using the voice commanding voice and I immediately complied.
"Yes!" She started to move her body up and down, making her juice splash on my face. "Now, get that tongue of yours at work, beautiful girl," She ordered and once again tightened the grip, forcing me to obey her order.
I had to stick my tongue forward, forced to have a taste of the older woman. It was sweet and I couldn't stop myself from moaning from the taste of her. She also moaned at the feeling of my tongue inside her and moved faster until she cummed in my mouth.
Just as I was about to let go of a sigh, my left leg was lifted, Jessica’s right leg sliding under it. "It is not the end yet! I still have a lot of things I want to teach your body." She pushed her hip forward, making our center meet.
I can't help but admit that it started to feel so good, so good that I failed to notice that I was no longer under the influence of the voice.
She repeated to thrush several more times, bringing our center together and making them part, and then collide again. She started to moan once again as I did the same, her hands starting to play with my breast, enjoying every contact through my body. Until my first orgasm was ripped from me this evening, followed by the beautiful temptress who laid on top of me while catching her breath from her release.
She looked down at me in complete amusement as I lay helplessly underneath her.
Jessica kissed the tip of my nose before sliding her warm body over me. She then began to touch me once more, and that was when I started to squirm a little. She moved her arms around my body, rubbing it in a very erotic way. "So beautiful! I can't help but masturbate thinking about you every day. And now, you are finally mine." She put a hand on my knee and began to gently stroke my leg.
Oh no... please no more...
"P--please... I can't. It's too much"
I struggled as I tried to pull myself away from her, but my body is still weak from the drugged tea and pleasure.
"Shhhh... I know you can. Just give me one more, little one. I just need to taste you."
She settled herself in between my legs, parting them by force.
She reached between my legs and pushed something. It's her finger against my clit, causing my back to arch. "Oh!" I gasped, head falling back. "Oh, oh—"
Jessica cupped my left breast and mouthed at it, kissing and licking. I didn't know where to look but into her eyes, trying my best not to follow the sound of a silently sobbing man.
I'm not sure what possessed me at the moment but I was suddenly desperate to taste her lips.
"Kiss me," I begged. "Please..."
And she did. Soft and sweet, holding me to her. Tugging my lip with her teeth and stroking my back, my butt. She took hold of my legs, cupping the underside of my knees. Bringing my legs around her waist, she rocked against me, teasing my lip with her tongue.
I parted my lips for her, tasting her, sighing... Jolting when she tugged on my nipple. "Oh, ow, owie—, please don't—"
I cried out with pleasure. This was so nice; it felt so good.
She smiled at me. “You’ve got the prettiest pussy I’ve ever seen, my beloved,” she said, reaching to touch me, pulling back the hood of my clit so she could rub me with her thumb. I shivered. “Look at this tiny clit. So fucking adorable, and all mine…”
She proceeded to slide down my body until she was face to face with my dripping warmth.
I gasped when she started to lick me and felt my stomach twitch, surprised and excited at Reverend Mother’s eagerness to please me. I felt her tongue trace the outline of my lower lips and shuddered. A moment later, the older woman finally slid her tongue over my clit, and that's when I felt my walls clenching in a sudden spasm, screaming in pure pleasure for the second time. Due to the intensity, I blacked out.
-_-_-
A groan left my lips when I woke up, my body deliciously sore.
Slightly stretching, that's when I realized that I was not alone.
To my left, Paul stood looking down at me. Tears stained his cheeks, eyes full of hatred.
“P-paul… I–”
“Silence! I don’t need your excuse. You and I are over” Paul spits his words with so much anger that it hurts.
“But Paul, it was your mother’s doing… I didn’t wa–”
“SILENCE”
The command surprised me into shock. Having the Reverend Mother use the voice on me seems to hurt less than having Paul do the same thing.
“You will not speak ill of the Reverend Mother. For she is the mother of your people’s chosen and now… your intended... for you two are fully bonded as one”
Paul’s words confused me greatly. Why would he say such a thing after everything his mother did in front of him? But my thoughts were then silenced when I saw a pair of hands rest on his shoulders. The Reverend Mother’s face appeared next to his.
“That’s enough, my son. I think my beloved has heard enough. You may take your leave” she calmly whispered.
Paul did what his mother asked but not before sparing me one last glance and whispered under his breath… I’m sorry… and now completely leaving me alone with a predator hungry for my flesh.
“What have you done to him?! Did you use your voice?!” I yelled accusingly, but she only laughed at this before kneeling beside my vulnerable form.
“No, Paul is simply being a good son. I raised him well, he knows to never go against my will. I brought him into this world and gave him his birthright, he owes me as much.” She smiled devilishly.
She looked down at me with a predatory grin before slowly tilting my chin with her finger to meet her eyes.
It was so dark and full of lust that it felt like I was about to drown in it.
"So here's what will happen from now on, you better listen carefully because everything that is attached to your existence will be at play if I don't get what I want, understood?" I weakly nodded, no longer having the will to fight back.
"Good girl" Jessica praised before caressing my cheek.
"You will surrender yourself to me and in time I know that you will so willingly. The more you take the gift of my water, the stronger our bond grows. In the meantime, you will be my obedient darling girl. Whatever I say, goes. Understood?" Her grip on my chin tightened, emphasizing how serious she was.
"Ye-yes" I stuttered through gritted teeth.
"If you behave like a good little girl for me, I will reward you with anything you desire, but if you disobey... You will learn that I won't go easy on my punishment. Since that's all settled then, time to quench my thirst."
"W-with what?" I fearfully asked.
The Reverend Mother smiled at me before leaning in close, her lips almost touching mine.
"You."

Cal and Andre’s first kiss,,
The lonely, late-night March of 2000 ambience had the blond and the brunet surrounded as they sat in Andre’s car, quietly munching on the takeout seated on their laps.
Calvin kept on brushing crumbs off of his shirt and pants, to which Andre would cast him a sideways glance and reprimand him, complaining about how he didn’t want his car to get dirty, how he’d just washed it a couple days ago— yet Cal would shoot back that next time, he’d help him clean it.
Andre and Cal were alone; they didn’t want to be within the presence of nearby life, really. Cal had brought up the whole concept of how, essentially, remaining in the natural noise of nature is better than getting caught up in bustling locations. Andre agreed. They wanted to be alone— well, it was truly Calvin’s idea to head to a quieter area. Andre didn’t really care; he’s used to going places with Cal, with either one of them bringing up their desired destination in town. Besides, being around a large amount of people isn’t exactly their cup of tea. Parties aren’t their thing— if anything, they’re fucking stupid to the two.
Prior to their departure, Cal’s only words had been, “Hey, Andre? Can we get away for a bit?”
So Andre had decided to drive himself and Calvin to a nearby, yet somewhat isolated woodland trail he knew of. Andre and his dad went fishing quite a bit when he was younger, so he recognized the name of the trail, remembering how he and Mr. Kriegman would take it to get to the lake.
Upon finishing their food, the two boys left their trash in the car and exited. The moon was bright tonight— its rays shone down on the trail’s path to form the illusion of a very faint, glimmering spotlight, as if signifying the night wasn’t going to end so soon.
Andre and Calvin began to traverse the dirt path, their darkened, dimly illuminated forms encompassed by towering trees and chirping crickets.
They spoke a little and chatted about school, among other things. But their hands occasionally brushed together as Cal inched closer to him.
Andre wanted to put an arm around Cal, wanted to pull him closer. But even Calvin was initially hesitant to advance his currently muted affection.
But as they continued to trek through the darkened wilderness, using the moon to guide their steps, during one of their conversations, Cal pinched Andre in the side, which caused Andre to flinch.
They kept walking, but Calvin kept trying to get Andre’s attention in subtle manners, like through silent pinches, nudges, and elbows. The brunet had tried to tell him to stop, but the blond grinned.
“Nah.”
“C’mon, man, seriously, cut that out. It fucking hurts.”
“Fine, fine. Chill the fuck out.”
“I am chill.”
“You’re not. You’re always so tense. D’you want a kiss to make you feel better?” blurted Cal.
Andre halted, their synced walking ceasing. For a moment, he didn’t know if Calvin even realized what he said. It sounded like sarcasm, like a joke— but knowing Cal, it might not have been. Not anymore, at least. Ever since recently— sort of, there was no more trying to pretend to be repulsed by the prospect of kissing a male. His male friend, specifically… who happened to be his only friend. And someone who Andre greatly desired. Yet, Andre didn’t kiss him. No, but the brunet wanted to. It had struck Andre how— despite the annoying behavior coming from his apathetic companion— Calvin appeared especially appealing in this moment.
The atmosphere thickened, like Andre could fire a gun and the bullet would pierce it, make a clean cut straight through the air. It was thick with the evidence of mutual pining.
Andre could feel Calvin’s intense eyes on him, boring holes straight into his soul. His cheeks flushed with a particular, yet very familiar warmth— a stomach-churning sensation he’d always perceived as anxiety-based whenever he was around Cal. It flared up when the brunet teen would stare at the back of his best friend’s head in such an idolizing manner… or when he’d notice the way his body language gave him such a still, even semblance; Andre would trace his eyes over his tense arms, see how his fists sometimes clenched up when he was angry, as if he was envisioning himself grasping something tightly— or perhaps hitting someone else.
“What? No. Don’t fuck with me, you weirdo. That’s gross— we’re not gay,” replied Andre quickly, almost uncertainly— which significantly weakened his supposedly truthful claims. “And, uh, didn’t you like Rachel for a while?”
Cal wanted nothing more than to feel those chapped lips on his own, so he felt a sharp pang of irritation and disappointment when Andre blatantly refused. Cal wasn’t surprised, though, despite how he could see right through his denial— he focused intently on the quiver in Andre’s voice, the way he tried to hide his nervousness with a sense of apprehensive avoidance. The way he tried to put up this wall to shield himself from the question— because essentially, that wall was built with thin glass. Cal found it pathetic… but it’s okay.
“No, I never liked her… not in that way. But that’s not the point, Andre,” Cal muttered, a wide, sinister smile stretching across his face, exposing his braces, which glinted dully in the moonlight. “You’re a fucking fag. I know you are. You’re always staring at me like some gushy girl. You literally do it all the time, dude— even when you think I’m not looking. You’re not slick.”
Andre was stunned. His body slightly turned to his— but he was still trying to face away from the shit-eating grin on his face. The brunet didn’t want to give him that satisfaction of getting to see the insecurity on his face. He didn’t want Cal to see his reaction to getting caught. “No, I— Cal,” he glanced away, embarrassment churning in his guilty guts. “I’m not… you’re fucking lying, man. I’m not gay,” he huffed. “God, you’re such a fucking asshole…”
But Calvin didn’t care about his urgency, his defensiveness. He knew he was right. He didn’t even need an answer.
He abruptly paused his ruminating thoughts, quit observing, and leaned in— it was an attempt to kiss Andre’s cheek in a gesture that quite clearly crossed the line of being friendly.
Andre found himself turning his head, though. When their lips connected, he tasted tacos and bitter saliva. Yet that was all he needed, all he wanted. Because he found that any and all stress and troubles he had before, at least in this moment, had faded.

A tired sigh leaves my lips as I finally sit down on the bench I spent several minutes searching for. The square is empty because of the heavy rain that has been falling all day.
I rest the umbrella on the edge of the bench to my right, feeling the thick drops bathe my entire body. I don't care about my soaked clothes or the possibility of catching a cold.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. It seems that when I’m alone, all my senses are heightened: the rain beating heavily on the leaves of the trees, the smell of the earth that inevitably settles in the air. Many people hate the rain and often associate it with bad things—perhaps because it’s cold, lonely, and, well... wet.
But for me, the sound of rain is one of the best white noises to listen to in moments of stress. I think rain is necessary. Without it, many of the flowers and green plants people love to admire on sunny days wouldn’t have life. They would wither in the heat. It’s cold, but necessary. It’s wet, but just right.
Someone passing by might find me strange right now. I probably look like a lunatic or a pothead. But I’m just lonely. Maybe that’s why I love the rain so much—it gives me the chance to take time for myself, to free my mind from worries, and to focus solely on my inner self.
I’ve never had time to truly pay attention to myself because I was always busy putting on a facade to please the people around me. A girl who is always happy, friendly, polite, and intelligent. But I’m not just that.
I’m fragile, insecure, fearful, and, surprisingly, not that intelligent. Yet I can’t be myself outwardly, because the people I admire most might turn away from me, disappointed.
One thing I’ve realized in these moments of self-reflection is that fear paralyzes us. I’m so afraid of exposing how I feel, of being who I really am, that I can’t fully live. My thoughts feel disorganized, so I can’t bring myself to share them with the world.
Sometimes, I just wish I could retreat from society to sort out my emotions and understand myself as a human being. This is definitely one of those times.
Everything became too much for me—my studies, my family, the people I thought were my friends. I couldn’t handle it anymore, so I grabbed my umbrella and got on the first bus that appeared. It brought me to this beautiful square full of trees and vibrant flowers. Even in the rain, I admired it.
I had no strength left for anything else, so I let the rain wash away my silent tears. It was all I needed—to cry.
I tried to hold back the sobs, but everything I’d been bottling up for days, even weeks, finally poured out. As the minutes passed, I felt a little short of breath, but my chest grew lighter. My mind went blank, and I thanked God for the silence around me.
For a while, I kept my eyes closed, until I realized the rain was no longer falling on me, though I could still hear it. When I lifted my head, I met the sweetest, most concerned eyes I’d ever seen.
Jungwon was holding an umbrella over us, panting as though he’d run a marathon. I wanted to lower my head and pretend nothing was happening, but I couldn’t tear my gaze from his delicate, beautiful features.
His eyes captivated me in a way no one else’s ever had, and his presence was the greatest comfort I’d ever felt from another human being.
“What are you doing here? I’ve been looking everywhere for you,” he said, his voice breaking with his labored breaths. He quickly recovered and sat next to me. I couldn’t bring myself to answer. Embarrassed, I looked away.
He handed me the umbrella, then took off his jacket and draped it over my shoulders.
“Look at you. You’re completely soaked. I hope you don’t catch a cold,” he murmured, taking the umbrella back and pulling me into a gentle sideways hug, letting me rest my head on his shoulder. We stayed like that for a long time, saying nothing. Words weren’t necessary.
“When… when you need to let it all out, you don’t have to run away like this, okay? Call me. No matter what I’m doing, I’ll come to you. And if you really need to escape your problems for a while, I’ll escape with you.” His voice was soft and full of sincerity, bringing tears to my eyes again.
“I’m sorry, Jungwon...” I buried my face in the crook of his neck, clinging to him awkwardly. “I just needed some time away from everything. I’m sorry for making you worry.”
I felt him press a tender kiss to the top of my head as he stroked my hair.
“You don’t need to apologize for being tired. I understand. Everyone needs a break sometimes. I just want you to know you’re not alone, okay? Promise me you’ll reach out to me next time.”
I nodded silently, still hiding my face. Jungwon gently lifted my chin so I’d look at him. His encouraging smile lit up his face, and I couldn’t help but return it, even if mine was smaller.
“I’ll always be here for you. Don’t forget that.” He leaned in and kissed my cheek, a small gesture overflowing with care.
“I’ll never forget. Thank you so much.” I wrapped my arms around him, wishing he could stay by my side forever.

Silent Cosmos (Edward Cullen) (Ch. 3)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Edward Cullen x GN! Mute!Reader
Words: 2.8k+
Warning(s): Two gross dudes, sexual verbal harassment (not towards reader), swearing,
A/N: omg chapter 3 is finally here. I apologize for the wait. I thought my semester this time around would be forgiving but NOPE. I had so much to do and read, I could hardly write for fun or draw either. I hadn't realized how long it had been since I last posted. I want to try a new method when writing series. I tried with my kpop writing blog, and its where I write a few chapters at a time then periodically post them. Helps keep the flow and motivation going, but that may have been a one off there.
Series Masterlist
-------
"O star of strength! I see thee stand And smile upon my pain; Thou beckonest with thy mailèd hand, And I am strong again... The Star of the unconquered will, He rises in my breast, Serene, and resolute, and still, And calm, and self-possessed. -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, "The Light of Stars"
-------
Edward hasn't been in school for the past few days.
You admittedly felt a little lonely without his presence, though Emmett and Alice have made it their mission to become your new best friends. Jasper tried but he still kept his distance from you, which you didn't mind. Rosalie helped when no other Cullen was around, although she kept a lot of conversations at a minimum, which you also didn't mind.
Alice had told you Edward had gotten a bad cold, so he is staying home. You had offered to bring him your notes the first time so he could copy them down, but Alice told you their father has him basically on lock down until he is deemed healthy. So, after you've done your homework, you've been making copies of your notes to give him when he comes back.
It's the start of a new day and once again, Edward wasn't there. You were at your locker with 15 minutes to spare. You placed the spare folder with Edward's notes on the shelf while your mind went back to that moment you two shared at the welcoming party for your uncle. You felt happy telling him all the stars and constellation you could see, and even happier when he seemed thoroughly interested in your rambles. However, you feel an inkling of guilt when you remember he gave you his jacket. Maybe he got sick from that?
"Dude, I got this weird spot on my dick."
Well, there goes your musings of guilt. You glance to your left and see two guys near you, just chilling against the lockers. You've never met them, though you do remember sharing a class or two with them separately.
"Are you really airing your business out when someone is standing right their?" The shorter one, with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes gestures to you.
"Relax, Mark. That's the deaf student." The taller one with deep brown eyes and brown hair says with a laugh. You suppress the urge to roll your eyes and choose to just focus on the inside of your locker. Maybe you should get more decorations- "Anyways, I have this weird spot on my dick. It almost looks like I have a weird mole there. I'm hoping it's just a new mole and Cindy didn't give me something."
Gross.
"I'd get that shit checked out then. You don't want it to turn into something worse if it is an STD." Mark says with a sigh. "I told you not to sleep with her, Tony. She made my balls itch like crazy. They still fucking itch."
"I think its just a weird mole. You wanna look?" He cackles while his friend fake gags. They both push off the lockers and walk away to who knows where.
You let out a deep sigh and close your locker. At least the ignorance of other allows you to hear some gossip.
"What's with the sigh, Tiny?" Emmett calls out as he and Rosalie approach you. He has very quickly taken to the nickname Tiny for you. You suppose anyone shorter than him would be considered tiny in his eyes. Rosalie simply opened her locker as you and Emmett conversed.
"Oh, just overheard two people talking about something that should have been a private conversation." You respond with a slight shrug.
"Gah, Forks High is full of a bunch of weirdos, huh?" He grins and raises his brows a few times, crossing his arms while leaning on the locker next to you. You silently chuckle and nod, though you wondered if there was an underlying joke there.
"No Edward today?"
"Nope. Carlisle still hasn't cleared him." He sighs with a sympathetic smile. "Between you and me, Tiny, Edward is still shitting his brains out." He signed that last portion to you.
You gave him a scandalized look and playfully slapped his arm with a small chuckle. You were surprised to feel just how hard his muscles were.
"What was that for?" He gripped where you slapped and pretended to be hurt. "It was a private conversation, no one else here except Rosalie knows sign."
You roll your eyes and shake your head with a smile. You could always count on Emmett to get you to smile.
"C'mon, Rose and I will walk you to first period, like always." He grins and gestures you to follow him. Rose simply came along since she and Em were in the class next to yours. You nod and follow, happy to have good company.
---
It was a passing period and it was just you and Rose at your lockers. You grabbed a new pen and pencil since the last two you had broke and ran out of ink. Rosalie was fluffing up her already perfect, blond hair in the mirror of her locker. She and you didn't converse much, but you still liked her presence. Like the rest of the Cullens, she didn't tiptoe around you or treated you differently. She acknowledged your presence and would answer you if you had questions.
You were about finished in your locker when you heard two familiar voices keep up their gross conversations behind you.
"Dude, Rosalie has the hottest ass." Tony practically jeers, his voice intentionally loud. You glance to the blond next to you and she still keeps fixing her hair, though you can see her brows are a little more furrowed and her lips are more in the shape of a frown.
"Her tits, man, her tits are where it's at." Replies Mark and when you shift just enough to see him in the corner of your eyes, you see him make an obscene gesture.
You hear the slight creek of metal and when you look to Rose, you see her grip is so tight on her locker door that her fingers made indents which made your eyes widen for a moment. She closes her locker and you can see by her side profile she is pissed, and rightfully so.
So, you do what you think would make her laugh at the expense of those two guys.
You tap her arm to get her attention and she looks at you with a glare. You don't let it faze you. If those two are going to be gross about your friend, you'll just air out their business that they so willingly aired out by you this morning.
"You know those two jackasses?" You intentionally look to them as you sign and look back at her. "Well the brown haired one has a spot on his penis that he isn't sure if it's a mole or an STD. And his buddy likely doesn't wash right since he's had prolonged itchy balls."
Rosalie looks almost scandalized until her eyes widen for a moment as she looks at the two dudes and then back to you. She covers her mouth as she laughs when she realizes what you're trying to do.
You were about to sign some more when the two dumbasses approach.
"I know you were talking shit. What the fuck did you sign?" Tony glared, pointing an accusatory finger at you. He gets in your face and you swear you hear Rosalie growl.
You swallow thickly and decide to open your mouth. Your aunt always said you got your stubbornness from your mom.
"I said..." You try not to wince at the pain in your throat, your voice sounding hoarse. "You had a weird spot on your dick and your friend... has itchy balls." They looked at you with wide, horrified looks. "Don't talk about someone's body if you don't want yours talked about either."
"You little shit." Mark hisses and Rose steps closer to your side, an arm just barely in front of yours.
"What's going on here?" Emmetts voice grows louder as he approaches, his usual, carefree smile no longer on his face. He looked scarier than you've ever seen him. Mark and Tony looked at each other before slinking off.
Once they were gone you let out a dry, painful cough. You cover your mouth with the back of your hand and quickly grab your water and drink, soothing your throat. You could taste a tiny bit of iron in the back of your throat as you drank.
Rosalie calls your name softly. "Are you okay?"
You nod in response and take another sip of water. You didn't catch the look they gave each other or Rose gesturing for Emmett to speak.
"What happened, Tiny?" He asks in a quiet tone. You close the cap of your bottle and place it back in your bag. Your throat still ached but you knew the pain from using your larynx will linger.
You start to sign to him everything that occurred, from what you overheard in the morning to him approaching. You can see a flash of anger on his face but he goes back to that small smile. Once you explained your words to Rose and why you said them, a huge grin breaks out on his face.
"I didn't know you had it in you, Tiny." He laughs and pats your shoulder a little too firmly.
"Come, I'll walk you to class." Rosalie said with a soft tone. You nod and wave goodbye  to Emmett. You both start heading down the hallway, the blond next to you tense.
When you got to your class a pale hand stopped you. You look to Rose with a questioning look while her gold eyes avoid yours.
"I just wanted to say thank you for earlier." Rosalie says, the tense look she had fades into a small smile, her eyes meeting yours. You see some vulnerability in her usually guarded gaze. She gives your shoulder a squeeze before dropping her hand. "You didn't have to do that. I'm... admittedly used to that."
"No need to thank me, Rosalie." You smile back at her.
"I do, because not many would step up like that." She softly sighs and her smile grows a bit. You felt her words had more meaning to them, but you decided to not linger on them for now. "I know I've been slightly avoiding you but I have a hard time trusting hu- new people. But, after today, I think I want to open up a bit and be friends."
"I'd like that too." You beam. "Alice has been begging me to do a shopping trip, maybe the three of us can plan a trip soon."
"I'd... I'd like that." She almost looks like she is relieved and less guarded.
"Is your hand okay?"
"What?"
"Well, I saw you grip your locker and you dented it."
"Oh. Yeah, it's fine. I work on cars and my grip is strong. It's nothing." She holds out her hands and you saw just flawless skin. "Well, I will see you soon. Class is starting."
"Talk to you later." You wave and go to class. You sit down at your usual spot and start preparing. You sigh, irritated at the way those two spoke about Rose so loudly. But you also felt happy you and Rose were close now. Her bending the locker was suspicious... there were many things off with the Cullens that you've picked up, however, you don't linger on it. They have their quirks much like you have your own.

Edward lounged on the couch reading, back from his trip up to the Denali clan to clear his head. After witnessing that nightmare from you, he needed a moment alone to sort his thoughts. He wasn't sure what he felt afterwards but once he took some time to sort out his thoughts, he came back to Forks. None of the others knew what happened. He didn't tell them those details of your life, as none of them were privy to it. He wasn't either but that bridge has been crossed thanks to his ability and curiosity of the galaxy protecting your mind.
He felt guilt initially when he realized he deeply invaded your privacy. Then, despair and immense sadness followed when he recalls back to your nightmare, your past. Edward had seen many horrors in his long life, he even committed some when he'd hunt those men. However when he witnessed what you went through, he couldn't help feel a spark of protectiveness. You were nice. He found you a joy to be around despite it not being long since you transferred. He doesn't want anything bad to happen to you.
Edward couldn't help but smile when he thought back to you and him outside the fire station. It was a peaceful moment. He couldn't help but linger on the sight of you in his jacket, pointing out the stars and constellations. It was silent other than your internal thoughts. And when he got to witness your galaxy so at peace? He also felt a sense of tranquility he longs for.
Edward quickly put those thoughts away and resumed his attention his book when he heard his adoptive siblings come in. Alice and Jasper pass without saying to him, which he was slightly thankful for. However, Emmett and Rosalie lingered by him.
"How can I help you both?" Edward sighs, snapping the book closed as he looks at both of them.
Rose crosses her arms. "You need to come back tomorrow."
"Why? Did something happen?"
"Yeah, Tiny happened." Emmett grinned and gestured to Rosalie. The blond sighed and let the memory replay of you standing up for her so Edward can see what happened today. He furrows his brows, setting his book down. He stands up from the couch and looks between the two.
"My guess is those two will probably retaliate against our friend one way or another." Rosalie says softly. Edward chooses not to point out how she said 'our friend.' "You spend the most time with them, they'll need you to stick around them the most."
Edward nods slowly. He recognizes Mark and Tony, and he knows they each have a class with him and you. He's heard the thoughts that spew from them both like garbage and he knows they aren't above getting back at someone.
"I'll come back tomorrow." He confirms. He wanted one more day to himself, but tomorrow is good as ever to face you again. He knows how you lost your voice and how you ended up living with your uncle and aunt now, but you don't know he knows. And he'll have to keep that in mind.
Although, Edward couldn't help but smile at the sound of your voice in Rosalie's memory. It was rough and hoarse, and it caused you pain, pain he doesn't want you feeling again... but it was nice hearing that voice that matches to the one in your head... when that space of yours is dropped.
---
You make your way to your locker first thing in the morning. You get yourself situated, grabbing the things you need for your classes before lunch. You set aside the folder where you kept your copies of notes for Edward down on the small shelf. You huff softly, throat still feeling sore from using your voice.
A familiar voice calling your name has you spinning around quickly, a smile instantly growing on your face. Edward approaches you with a small smile, looking the same as he did the last time you saw him.
"Glad to see you're feeling better." You grin, your mind flashing back to what Emmett signed to you in regards to Edward's health. You catch your friend's eyebrow twitch, a flash of annoyance on his face that he quickly recovered.
A Cullen quirk, you muse to yourself.
"Yeah. I'm doing a lot better now." He replies softly, standing  a little closer to you than usual.
"I have something for you." You see his eyebrow quirk as you turn back to your locker. You pull out the black folder and hand him it. "Notes for the classes we share."
Edward stares down at the folder before chuckling. He looks up at you and gives you brilliant smile, one that makes your heart flutter for just a moment. "Thank you, I really appreciate it."
"Of course."
Suddenly, you feel hand on your back. Edward was standing much closer to you with an expression akin to a scowl as he stares off a little. He looks to you and smiles softly, though you can still see the tension on his face.
"We should get to the classroom. I'll probably have questions about what I missed." He says in a low voice. You nod, a little confused by his demeanor. You finish up with your locker and let him guide through the hallway, his cold hand still resting on the middle of your back.
You weren't aware of Tony's and Mark's presences until you both were walking by them to your first period classroom. You paid them no mind, keeping your focus ahead of you. Doing this, however, has you missing the deep and threatening glare from Edward towards the both of them.
As you both walked through the hallway, Edward felt that his non-existent blood boiling at the degrading, violent, and nasty thoughts those two were thinking. He knew they both weren't the best that Forks has to offer, their thoughts sometimes louder than others.
That protective urge he felt after witnessing your nightmare? It's working overtime now and he isn't completely sure why.
What Edward does know that he won't let them try anything towards you.

a shawl made of leaves wrapped around your form as you stood silently in the middle of your kelku, watching your mate frantically search for his battle gear. jake sully had called the warriors again for another raid against the sky people who were planning to take over yet another area in your clan. the raids have been happening quite frequently now, and being the son of the olo’eyktan himself, lo’ak, your mate, was expected to participate in all of them.
you grew worried every moment he wasn’t here. you prayed to the great mother he’d come back to you in one piece, safe and sound, but you knew it wouldn’t always be possible. every time the war party came back, someone would be gravely injured. most of the time, a couple of them wouldn’t even return - their corpses lying cold on the battlefield.
thankfully, your husband was a great warrior. although he was reckless and often didn’t follow jake’s orders, he was witty enough to survive all the hits and attacks of the humans, and also, your brother-in-law, neteyam, would always be there to keep him in check. not once did lo’ak return with a fatal injury, but still, you couldn’t help but worry.
in front of you, lo’ak grunted, securing his battle band around his waist. he grabbed his hunting knife from the ground and wiped away litters of dust the blade caught from lying on the floor. his brows formed wrinkles on his face as he frowned, and you didn’t really know why he was upset again right now.
“please be careful, ma’yawntutsyip.” you uttered softly, but he didn't reply nor look at you. even if it was usual for him to do this, it still hurt you. you tried not to mull over it too much.
still ignoring you, lo’ak turned his back on you as he moved to exit. he was leaving again to battle without saying anything, while you were here, dying with concern over his safety. it pained you so much how it seemed like he didn’t care about you every second of every day since you were mated. but you still loved him anyway. he was your mate, your husband, your second half.
before he could completely leave you, you took the chance to say, “i love you, lo’ak.” something you never failed to tell him every day, just to remind him that you were here, that he had you to come back home to. “please, will you say it back just this once?” it took every bit of your strength to plead to him, you just wanted to hear him say it.
your words made him stop in his tracks. he turned his head to the side to spare you a glance, and you tried to fight his cold eyes. you saw how he clenched his jaw as if he was going to say something, but he sighed and turned away before he could. saying nothing else, he marched out of your kelku.
you felt your whole body relax as soon as he left, you didn’t even notice how tense you were while he was here. still standing in the same spot, you looked around your kelku. some stuff were disordered from how much lo’ak moved them around while he was searching. when the air entered from the opening of your kelku and touched your skin, the heaviness of your heart became difficult to ignore, and you simply inhaled deeply to try to calm yourself down.
tears started welling in your eyes and your lips quivered. you were upset. so so upset at how cold and lonely you felt in your own home right now, so upset that you have to clean up all of these cluttered things as if you were once again fixing up the mess that was your union with lo’ak.
you tried to keep your sobs quiet as you knelt to pick up the things your husband didn’t bother to put back properly. it was always like this with him. while he never yelled at you nor physically hurt you, lo’ak also was never affectionate to you. it was like he wasn’t even your mate. it was like he was just living with you in the same home, sleeping in the same mat and hammock. it was like he never acknowledged you as a lover with how cold he was towards your advances.
you envied the other couples who would profess their love, kiss and hug, and reassure each other every time the other went to battle. why couldn’t lo’ak just love you, try to, or even pretend to?
from what you knew, to him, you were just someone his parents tied to him for life in order to keep him ‘in place’, to show the people that he is a desirable son and son-in-law like his older brother, to make the people know lo’ak is capable of finding a mate and providing for her and for a future family.
and you understood how he felt and why he was like this to you. you convinced yourself really hard to. every night when you lay beside him whilst he slept soundly next to you, you were crying to yourself, trying to understand that he was still just busy proving himself to his father, proving himself to the people that he could catch up to his older brother, proving to everyone that he wasn’t just some rash failure. you understood why he couldn’t focus on you, even if you were his wife.
as a husband, lo’ak never fulfilled his marriage duties. he only mated with you once and never again, and that was during the ceremony in front of eywa. many of your heat cycles have passed but he never touched you no matter what you did. you often wondered if it was because he had his eyes on someone else. but you’ve confirmed long ago that lo’ak never flirted with the other women in the clan. he was simply too busy with the war and with proving himself, but you loved him all the same because you supported your husband, you only hoped he’d love you back one day.
hours have passed since he left. while he was gone, you decided to stock up on some fruit by yourself. you could’ve joined the other women who were also waiting for their mates, but you wanted to be alone so you could think and calm down. you were solemn the entire time, even as you returned back home with your basket full of his favorite fruit.
at the moment, you were sitting quietly in the middle of your kelku, weaving a new mat for lo’ak so he could rest in a clean one once he got home. but the silence didn’t last long when it was interrupted by the stomping feet and crying of a child running to your home. all at once, you dropped everything and hurried to the child’s side, gently taking her into your arms.
you cupped her face and looked at her with eyes full of worry, “what is the matter, ‘evi? why are you crying?”
the little girl continued to sob in your arms. “my brother, please. the tawtute.” her sentence was incomplete, and she was crying uncontrollably but the words ‘brother’ and ‘tawtute’ were all you needed to hear to understand what was going on - the sky people were near, and her brother was in danger.
your breath hitched but you tried not to panic. what were you going to do now? you were not a warrior. you were just a common clan member whose role is to weave clothing and collect fruit for the people. but you knew how to shoot an arrow as it was required to come-of-age, and you knew it was enough to at least help and stand up for this little child and her brother. she came to you because your kelku was the nearest, and there was no time to look for someone else. as an adult of your clan, it is your duty to protect them.
with a deep breath, you pulled away from her and quickly took the old bow and arrow sitting next to your shared mat with lo’ak. gripping its handle tightly, you said, “take me to him.”
the little girl wasted no time in dragging you with her deeper into the forest. you weren’t sure where she was leading you. every step you took made you grow more anxious about what you were going to face.
soon enough, you heard the sound of running water nearby, and you understood that a waterfall was just here somewhere. the little girl suddenly stopped running in front of you, and she tugged your arms, giving you a look to tell you that you were here.
you heard the voices of male humans chattering in the vicinity, talking about ‘dna’ and ‘new avatar’ in their language. you couldn’t understand what they were saying and only those three words gave you the gist of what they were talking about. even if your husband was quite fluent in the language of those demons, you still didn’t understand. lo’ak never taught you after all. but all that matters right now is getting her brother back, you could worry about the rest later on.
you bent your knees slightly to meet the child’s eyes. placing your palm on her head, you whispered. “go hide. i will take care of everything.”
still with tears in her eyes, she nodded at you before running back to one of the trees behind you.
you took a deep breath before stealthily approaching the voices. your steps were gentle as you crouched, the crunch of the leaves you stepped on was non-existent as you made your way closer. as soon as the soldiers came into view, you took a while to observe the situation. the na’vi boy was tied up, back faced to you, and two humans were in front of him, armed with large guns scouting the area.
you quietly moved and hid yourself behind the tree that was next to you. with your back pressed on its trunk, you took your arrow and started positioning your bow. you can do this, you can do this. you encouraged yourself in your head. there are only two of them. to you, the humans themselves weren’t scary, they were a lot smaller than you after all. just one harsh slap and you could make them fly away. it was their weapons that concerned you, you didn’t understand how they worked.
you held your breath as you stepped away from the tree, arms raised whilst you aimed at the human. you planned to shoot them consecutively before they could react with their weapons, you knew you could do it. and so, without further hesitation, you released the arrow and allowed it to fly through the air, stabbing the human right on his head.
the man hadn’t even dropped to the ground when you took another arrow and stretched your bow to aim at the other one. again, you shot the man on his head, and you watched as both of their bodies collapsed on the ground with a thud.
you sprinted to the boy’s side, who began crying from relief the moment he saw you. when you knelt in front of him, you immediately started to untie him from the ropes, reassuring him that he was safe now and to not worry. as soon as the boy was free, he tackled you into a grateful hug, sobbing into your arms.
“mawey, mawey.” you patted his back, carefully pulling him away from you. “we need to go. more of them will come. go!”
he was nodding as he stumbled standing up. you gestured for him to run, and he obeyed, darting to the direction of hometree.
you stood up to trail behind him. but before you could even walk another step, a loud mechanical thud was heard from behind you. you grew cold, already aware of what that was. you spun around reluctantly and were met with a soldier in an amp suit aiming his firearm right at you.
what happened next was a blur. you didn’t have the time to grab your bow nor react, because when his weapon erupted a loud bang, it was already over for you.
the ikrans shrieked as they landed on the branches of hometree. the war party was surrounded by a crowd of family members, all looking for their warriors in worry and anticipation of their return. lo’ak, who was in between his father and older brother, dismounted his ikran as his eyes searched for a particular na’vi among the people.
he puffed out a disappointed breath when he couldn’t find who he was looking for. were you mad at him because he didn’t say ‘i love you’ back earlier? this wasn’t new to your relationship, so what was different now? you never missed his arrival. were you finally getting tired of him?
lo’ak’s lips pursed as he followed behind jake through the horde that was their clan members. neteyam who was walking beside lo’ak, felt his younger brother’s sour mood but he decided not to mention it anymore. the entire day and weeks before having been stressful enough. with the raids going on and lo’ak constantly going to him for advice about his marriage, neteyam knew if he dared to bring it up, it would only make his brother appear more upset in front of you once he got home.
as the three of them made their way through hometree, they came across a young na’vi boy wailing in the corner, circled by a few other adults who were trying to calm him down. jake didn’t hesitate to go near them.
“what’s going on here?” jake asked, his two sons standing with him on both sides.
the boy wiped his tears away, trying to meet the eyes of his olo’eyktan. “s-soldiers ambushed me.” he wanted to explain more, but his voice was shaking, and it was all he could say.
“where?” neteyam leaned forward to join the conversation.
“near the waterfall.” the boy sobbed. “i was able to escape because my sister called for help.”
“help? who helped you?” lo’ak asked.
everyone fell oddly silent from his question that it made jake and neteyam look around in confusion. lo’ak raised an eyebrow, waiting for the boy to answer. “well?” he urged him to reply.
the boy only hid himself in the arms of the na’vi who was comforting him, sobbing louder than earlier. what could he say to the husband of the person who saved him? when it was already clear to him what happened when a bang echoed through the forest?
the people looked at lo’ak with sympathy, and he stared at them one by one, trying to process and understand what their expressions meant. he grew cold every second when none of them uttered anything. what were they doing? why were they looking at him like this? like they were apologizing?
lo’ak’s expression darkened. your absence, their apologetic looks. it couldn’t be, right?
he released a deep exhale as he straightened his back. lo’ak’s world stopped as realization struck him. suddenly, everything was silent. he couldn’t hear the child’s sobbing, the people talking around him, and neteyam calling his name from literally right beside him. all he could hear was a long high-pitched ring on his ear, and there was a string in front of him ready to snap any second.
his lips were parted as he breathed heavily, trying to calm himself whilst he turned and walked away from them without a word. jake was calling him but he ignored and continued to his ikran. you? you helped that boy? you weren’t a warrior. how could you fight? lo’ak’s jaw clenched as he thought about it.
neteyam hurried to lo’ak’s side, grabbing his arm to catch his brother’s attention. “bro, calm down.”
lo’ak snapped his head at neteyam, eyes burning in anger. “calm down? how can i? my wife, my mate. she is in danger!” his voice raised, catching the attention of almost everyone around them. lo’ak harshly pulled his arm back from neteyam, and all the man could do was stand there dumbfounded.
jake nodded to neteyam with a knowing look as lo’ak mounted his ikran in front of everyone. the animal shrieked louder than ever, mirroring the burning anger of its rider. and as lo’ak commanded his companion to fly away, jake and neteyam ran to their ikrans and followed suit to fly to you.
lo’ak couldn’t think straight as he flew, and his ikran could feel it. his blood was cold, and he was shaking in worry. he was hoping, praying to the great mother silently in his head that he understood their looks wrong and it wasn’t you who he was going to find there. that you were just asleep in your home, tired from weaving, and that’s why you weren’t there earlier when he arrived. lo’ak was sweating, even as the cold air ran through his skin as he flew - he didn’t know what he would do if it was really you.
for the past few weeks, lo’ak had been visiting his older brother, asking him for advice on how to make things better for your relationship. neteyam was always the better one, and even lo’ak couldn’t disagree with that. lo’ak knew that he struggled with expressing his emotions and with controlling the relationship especially because it started out rough when he initially didn’t want to be with you. he was hoping his brother could help him sort his thoughts out, or at least, help him form better words to explain and plan out the slow change he wanted in your marriage.
lo’ak learned to love you as months with you went by. at first, he thought you were pretending to love him and that you were settling for him because he was used to the others mocking him for not being as great as his older brother. but lo’ak saw how genuine, kind, loving, and caring you were towards him - how could he not fall?
lo’ak treated you harshly because he felt bad that you were tied to a failure like him. he wanted you to find someone better so you could be happier, because he was still in the process of finding himself. but lo’ak knew that deep down, he couldn’t really let you go. just thinking about you being with someone else irked him so much, he would rather be skinned alive than to live through a day seeing you with another man. and so, lo’ak built up his courage, and tried so hard to prove himself to everyone, so that one day, he could love you, and nobody else would be worthy enough for you than him. after all, you were his mate, his wife, his second half.
lo’ak, neteyam, and jake arrived by the waterfall just in time when a soldier in an amp suit was picking you up with its hands, motioning to walk away from the scene.
lo’ak’s eyes glowered at the sight, blood boiling as he became angrier. your limbs were swaying as the metal suit held you, and lo’ak knew you were unconscious. his ikran glided through the air at immense speed as he yelled from his throat, taking his bow out and aiming the arrow straight at the soldier inside the suit.
the amp suit collapses in an instant when the arrow stabbed through the human’s head. the sudden motion made the suit’s arm throw your body into the air, and you fell harshly on the ground with a cruel sound.
lo’ak kept his eyes only on you when his ikran eventually landed, jake and neteyam right behind him. lo’ak practically jumped off of his ikran as he rushed to your side. from his rear, jake was in the background ordering neteyam to scout the area and look if other soldiers were around, but lo’ak ignored them and only focused on you.
lo’ak knelt beside you, grabbing your arm as he assessed your body. jake towered behind lo’ak, and he could only watch sadly for his son - he knew that from how you looked right now, you were already dead even before they arrived, but he couldn’t bring himself to point that out to his grieving son.
“no, no, no. please, please.” lo’ak shook his head, refusing to believe the state you were in right now - blood running from your mouth and everywhere else that was shot in your body. this was the first time you could’ve heard the concern in his voice for you, but you couldn’t.
lo’ak began tearing up at the sight of you, and he forced his tears away so he could assess your face better for any sign of life. “you’re not dead, you’re not dead.” he repeated to himself as if he was convincing himself.
when you didn’t answer a word nor any movement, his grip tightened on your cold hand, and he yelled a cry. it was the first time jake saw his son cry that much. “please come back to me, baby, please!” he pleaded, hands moving to cup your cheeks. but your lifeless eyes only stared back at him.
i love you, lo’ak. please, will you say it back just this once?
“i see you, i love you! i always have, please!” he wailed the words he never said, the words you have longed to hear. but it was too late, your arms were limp, and you weren’t responding; you couldn’t hear him anymore. your body was turning cold every minute that was passing; you were dead and no matter how much lo’ak pleaded and cried beside you, you weren’t going to come back. he knew this, but he was refusing to accept it.
jake could only watch as lo’ak started to yell out his cries.
the regret of being too late, the regret of losing his other half forever, the regret of never giving you the love you deserved, the regret of never saying the words you deserved to hear - would eat lo’ak up for the rest of his life, because you died never knowing how much he loved you too.

~Y/N~
I had followed Kaz, Jesper, and Inej around the city like a lost puppy. We visited different people and places, hearing a variety of responses. The four of us were in an office facing a woman smoking a cigar in her hand. "Tell us how to safely cross the Fold."
"The Fold? If I knew safe passage through that, I'd be wealthier than the whole Merchant Council." she replies. Inej brings up a counterpoint. "You told me you brought in girls from Os Alta. The other side." "Yeah. The hard way. Lost a few to those damn volcra, too."
Nothing at the first stop.
We head towards an alleyway, located near the popular part of Ketterdam. Jesper meets someone supposedly knowledgeable. "Nah, there's no trick to it except how it makes people disappear from time to time." Jesper asks, "I heard you bragging of a way to make a path."
"I was taking kruge from a tourist. A little lie. The Fold keeps those Ravkan bastards and their Grisha attack dogs in check. Can you imagine how dangerous it would be if it wasn't there?"
There is not anything useful from that guy, either.
The following person we went to was a Fjerdan guy. He was engaging in street fights and competitions. Most likely trying to win some kruge. "Just go around." Kaz didn't like to hear that answer. "It stretches all the way north to the Fjerdan border."
"Ja. So go to Fjerda. March through the permafrost." "How long will that take?" Kaz asks. He replies. "From here? Four months. Maybe five." "We don't have that kind of time."
"Either you take your time or you take your chances."
He went off, and Jesper motioned for us to regroup. We all started walking, and he asked me, "If Kaz had told me correctly, your power is one of a Grisha level with no element needing to be manipulated?"
I nod and half smile. "Kaz is correct, but I know I am so much more than what he says I can do."
"I understand, but why did you lay low until now?" Jesper asks. I let go of my tenseness, and he messes with one of his pistols. "Living the solo life, then changed in an instant. What changed your mind?"
I look at Kaz and Inej. Kaz has something alluring about him. I can't figure it out. I say, "I wanted a change, I guess. Being by myself was getting... upsetting. I had this urge that I needed to get out like an unknown power is trying to crawl its way out of my soul."
Jesper adds, "And you were lonely?" I nod in shame and look at Inej. "Inej helped me realize what my potential could be. How my power can change everything." I move some of my fingers around and ease my anxiety.
Kaz leads us to the Crow Club, and we sit at a table near the back. Where others couldn't hear in on our conversation. We are silent until Jesper breaks it abruptly. "Here's what I don't get." "We're going to be here all night," Inej adds.
"Rude. Why haven't they tried going under it? Just dig a tunnel." Kaz immediately shuts his thoughts down. "Tried that. More than a century ago. Something... heard them digging."
"So it was made hundreds of years ago by that crazy Grisha..." "The Black Heretic." The one who started all of this mess. "Yeah, the one who controls shadow. They've got one in their army now, don't they? General Kirigan?"
Inej says, "Your point?" "If one of his kind made it, can't he unmake it?" I slightly frown and hate how this General sounds. "Have you ever put out fire by adding more fire?" I slightly smirked, and Jesper asked, "Then what's the opposite?"
"A Sun Summoner? Right?"
Everyone looks at me, and I continue, "I mean, everything has to have an opposite to exist within each other—fire and water, light and dark, and so on and so on."
"Doesn't exist." I look at Kaz, and he quickly glances at me before staring back into the abyss.
"Doesn't exist yet," Inej says. "Dreesen comes into town, doesn't waste a minute. Sends out for a crew to steal something but doesn't specify what. Is it heavy, is it large, is it worth more than a million on the black market? Maybe he doesn't know."
Inej voices her thoughts. "We can let this one go, Kaz." "Sounds like a trap, anyway." Jesper takes a drink out of his glass. "A trap would sound easy. This is something else."
One of Kaz's workers approaches him, seemingly with good news: "Boss, Boss. We intercepted a note from Dreesen." "Did you, now?" He continues, "It's for the owner of the Orchid. Says they require the services of a Heartrender. Tonight."
"A Heartrender? Why?"
The worker shakes his head. "Doesn't say. Just they need it before midnight." I see Kaz's gears turning in his head. "You don't bring in a Heartrender unless you need an answer out of someone who isn't willing to talk. That's how we get this job before anyone else. Bring Dreesen a Heartrender."
Kaz stands up, eager for the new job. "Boss, just one problem. Pekka Rollins knows." "Pekka Rollins." I look over at Inej, and she shrugs at the sound of that name. We all get up and follow Kaz to the Orchid.
We reach the outside, and Inej walks beside me. "Don't feel too intimidated by Kaz. Sometimes, he acts like a loose cannon, especially when Pekka is brought up."
I feel my eyes glow, sensing this new sign of my powers. Pekka Rollins did something to Kaz that cannot be forgiven so easily. I can sense his feeling of vengeance whenever Pekka Rollins is brought up, I'd have to save that thought for later.
After 15 minutes of walking through the streets, we reach the Orchid. Kaz goes inside, and motions for the three of us to wait outside.
It only took about 5 minutes before Kaz hastily exited the building, followed by a Heartrender. We all follow behind for the next 20 minutes of silence. Before reaching Dressen's, the Heartrender speaks up.
"I really appreciate new business, but you've only paid for an hour of my time, and I have to be back at the Orchid," she says.
"The Orchid isn't safe tonight. Your life's in danger with this job. Make yourself scare for a few days afterwards." I look at the two and sigh. "Mr. Brekker, are you threatening me? Really? Even if I'm nice, my Boss will call the stadwatch on you."
We reach the gate and stop in our tracks. This Heartrender is getting annoying. Kaz says, "It's not me you're in danger with. It's Pekka Rollins." "My boss would call the stadwatch on him as well." the Heartrender says. "Which is why your boss is already dead."
Kaz marches forward, and I slowly follow behind him. One of his guards sees us and asks, "Who are you lot?" "We're here to see Dreesen."
Kaz and I reach the fenced gate and see the guard greet us. "You're not with Pekka's crew. And you brought a freak with you, look like the eyes of a monster to me." Kaz replies. "And you're not in Pekka's pocket anymore if you don't owe him. She's not a freak or monster, I'd trust you still have respect for women in this part of the city."
He tosses the guard the bag of kruge, and they catch it in time. The guard opens the gate and grants us access. Jesper catches up with us and asks Kaz, "Hey, where did you get that coin?" The gate shuts behind us, and we hear some commotion.
"Hey! One of these has a hole in it!" I widen my eyes and look at Kaz. "Inside. Inside."
The five of us hurry inside, and one of his guards brings us with Dreesen. He opens the door, with Kaz leading front and center. "One look and I can tell. Criminals. I'm not meeting anyone 'til midnight."
I am assuming that is Dreesen. "We heard you needed a Heartrender." Kaz says. Dreesen stands up from his desk and is intrigued. He replies, "Hmm. All right, she stays, the rest of you, out." The Heartrender begins to walk forward, and Kaz holds out his cane in front of her.
"She stays. And we have an exclusive on this job." "Mr. Brekker. No businessman worth his salt hires his first applicant." Dreesen stands in front of his desk and gives us a better look. "No. No, I understand. Of course, I will have to report you to the guild for kidnapping and harboring a prisoner without chain of title."
"You wouldn't." I smirked, knowing that Kaz had something up his sleeve, as he always does. He says, "No businessman worth his salt bargains for what he can take." Dreesen seems intimidated and goes up to Kaz's face. All that we can hear is the deep inhaling and exhaling of breaths.
I look to the side of me and see the Heartrender raise her hand. "I have to be back in an hour." The two look at each other before Dreesen speaks up. "All right, come on." He exits the door behind the five of us, and Kaz immediately follows.
He leads us into his basement, and we see someone tied up in a chair with a hood over their head. Kaz stops walking, and we do as well. "Who's this?" he asks. Dreesen goes to the person and says, "So you don't know everything after all. This... is Alexei Stepanov."
Alexei's face was beaten so severely. Cuts and dried blood were all over his face. Like they tried to get him to talk by using brute force first. Dreesen continues. "Two weeks ago, young Alexei here crossed through the Fold on foot. Alone."
He walks over to the desk and takes off his coat. "How?" I ask. "They're keeping it quiet, but allegedly he was one of a few witnesses to... an event." Dreesen pours some wine for himself, and Alexei mutters, "Water."
Inej doesn't hesitate to pour a glass of water for him and bring it over for Alexei. He drinks the water like his life depended on it. "What kind of event?" Kaz asks.
"I know an expedition was swarmed by volcra. Should've been a total loss, but something happened. Some device detonated. Obliterated the volcra, lit up the dark like a forest fire. I know it wasn't a fire or else no one would have survived. This was some invention no one had seen before. He knows. But he doesn't seem to be able to articulate his account of events. Some form of traumatic lapse."
Dreesen walks back to us, and I look at the ground to keep my thoughts. Kaz motions for the Heartrender to do what she can for Alexei. Inej walks back over and stands next to me. The Heartrender gets down to his level and assures him. "You're safe now. Now you can just speak and I will just listen."
"All right." "Tell me what happened in the Fold. What saved you?" she asks. Alexei looks deep into the eyes of the Heartrender. "You won't believe me, but... it was a Sun Summoner." Dreesen walks over and crouches in front of Alexei.
He asks, "Who was it?" "If I tell you, you'll set me free?" Dreesen nods. "You have my word. I'll set you free. You're in Ketterdam now, Alexei." He needs more convincing. "You can go anywhere in the world from here. Just imagine. Come on."
"Her name is... Alina Starkov."
A ringing in my ears and a pain in my head make me lose focus.
Alina Starkov.
Why have I heard that name before? I close my eyes in pain, and I open them up to something from my past I vaguely remember. The orphange in Keramzin.
I see a younger version of myself running in the field and trying to escape. The environment around me is crystal clear, and something feels off. Like this memory in the field was happening again, that's how clear it was to me.
I turn around to see two kids similar in age to my younger self. One looks like a Shu girl with long dark hair. Another was a boy with curly hair. He didn't look like Shu but deeply cared for his friend. "We can't just let Y/N go, Alina. She tried her best to get it back for you. I think she's going through a rough time."
"Mal, I think she's hiding something. I am not upset about the book and drawing supplies. She's never kept quiet to herself. There is something else going on that we should talk to her about."
Mal... and Alina.
They knew me back in Keramzin, the orphanage, but I don't remember them. I knew the Sun Summoner as a child, and she knew me. I even talked to her. But clearly, she also hid something.
My mind snaps me out of this memory with a gunshot. I open my eyes wide to Alexei dead on the floor—a bullet to the head. I see Dreesen put his gun away and walk over to the body.
"We are now the only people west of the Fold with this information. My ship sails for West Ravka at dawn. If you can prove that you have a way through the Fold and back, I'll put you on that ship with an advance. If you don't, I'm giving this job to Pekka Rollins."
~Kaz~
"Give me a day. I'll have a plan." Dreesen begins to walk away and looks back at me. "You have until sunrise, then your ship will have sailed, Mr. Brekker. The prize is one million kruge. Now bring me Alina Starkov."
Dreesen walks away, and I look over at Y/N. Something happened to her after the supposed Sun Summoner's name was mentioned. She looked like she was in a trance, that could almost pass off as her staring off into nothing. I'll have to inquire about that with Y/N later.

Not once did you leave his side.
Zeff told you someone needed to stay with Zoro to keep him grounded to the earth, and it was pretty much wordlessly decided it would be you. Sanji had stayed after Zeff fixed up Zoro's wounds, cooking meals for the crew and making sure you ate, which you didn't. Everytime sanji made a new meal he'd take your old plate full of untouched food and replace it, encouraging you to eat, maybe get someone else to take your spot and watch over Zoro.
You hated the fact you couldn't tell if he was getting better or not. You hated that you sat, hour after hour, telling him stories from your childhood and watching his chest rise and fall. You tightly gripped his hand as silently sobbed, your tears falling onto your interlocked fingers. “Please wake up Zoro, please." You pleaded. "I can't let you leave without knowing how much you mean to me, how much I love you.“ You let out a long, shaky breath. "If you die, I'm gonna fucking kill you Zoro." You half laughed-half sobbed.
A few moments later, Usopp knocked on the door before opening it slightly. "Usopp? What's up?" You asked, wiping your eyes. "Would you maybe switch out for me and Luffy? I think it's time for you to get some fresh air."
Your grip tightened on his hand. "Oh uh.. yeah.“ You said, standing up and giving Zoro's hand one last squeeze, that last bit of encouragement, before smiling at Usopp and walking out to the deck.
"Hey, Nami!" You smiled and waved, catching up to her. Her mind seemed to be preoccupied, looking out at the vast expanse of ocean. "It sure is beautiful at this time of day, so calm and peaceful, yet so empty." She took a deep, salty breath of the air. "Right, it must get lonely for solo travelers. That's why we're here, right Nami? Righttt??"
"Oh my god, stop, you sound just like Luffy." She laughed, you joining in with her. Cutting your laughter short, Usopp bursts through the door and up the stairs, his urgency frightening you. "Y/n, Zoro's awake! He's asking for you!" You just about stopped listening at Zoro's name, running with Usopp as fast as your legs could take you to his room.
"Y/n..?“ His demeanor melted the second he saw you, his face turning into something of a smile. You threw yourself into his arms, his face buried into your neck. "Jesus Zoro, you scared me.. you're such an idiot.“ You sobbed holding onto him tight. "I heard everything to talked to be about in my sleep, your childhood stories, even..“
"Even?" You asked, pulling away slightly to look into his eyes. "Even everything you felt about me.“ You felt your face heat up with sudden embarrassment. "That's when I realized, I couldn't leave without letting you know how much I love you." You stood in between his legs as he leaned down to kiss you, his soft lips melding to yours, soft groans leaving his lips as you gently tugged on his hair.
"Does this mean she's off limits?" Sanji asked from the doorway, earning an elbow from Nami and a middle finger from Zoro.
"I don't know, am I off limits Zoro?" You pulled away, looking into his eyes. "Definitely.“ He muttered, chasing your lips.

𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 — 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓
Tumblr media
summary — it finally all catches up to you.
warnings — gn!jedi!reader, reader is obi-wan’s child, there's some major angst oops, some fluff at the end!
Tumblr media
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆. ever since the war ended, the heaviness on your chest hasn’t subsided. the grief over the loss of so many at the same time was weighing you down. luckily, the empire’s rise to power kept you busy enough.
as you sat at a table overlooking the ocean that surrounded pabu, the blend of oranges and purples pulled you into a trance. as the sun set, you felt lonely. your father was dead, your master was dead, and you barely made it out alive. everyone you loved was dead.
the realization choked you.
you shakily inhaled as tears burned your eyes. your heart twisted as you withheld sobs. pabu was a place of refuge; you didn’t want to bog it down with your trauma. you couldn’t help it, though. finally being able to rest meant you remembered things you didn’t want to.
your father’s loving embrace.
your master’s proud smile.
your best friend’s terrible jokes.
your men’s courage.
your eyes stayed on the horizon as you heard someone approach you. you quickly wiped your eyes and turned to face sergeant hunter, who’s face looked a little more relaxed than usual.
“hey,” you greeted, hoping he didn’t catch the glint of tears in your eyes.
“hey,” he sat down next to you, offering a small smile. he noticed your eyes, the way they glistened with unshed tears. your cheeks were red too, but maybe that was just the reflection of the sunset.
“omega busying herself?” you inquired, sniffling. hunter leaned back, his arms resting on the table top.
“as always,” he answered, “you alright?”
“fine,” you assured him. despite being a jedi, you were a terrible liar. hunter knew that, but he didn’t need his enhanced senses to see how distressed you were.
“you’re lying,” he gently pointed out, watching your expression change. you didn’t want to talk about your feelings, especially since it would be more sobbing than talking. you’ve shoved your emotions down for so long for survival purposes, and you didn’t want to open that can of worms.
“maybe i am,” you respond, your eyes still angled towards the sunset.
“you need to talk about it,” he told you. he was sincere, genuine in his desire to help you. you, however, didn’t want to be helped.
“i’m fine, hunter,” you reiterated. with every nudge to talk, to tell him what you were feeling, irritation built in your gut. you knew that he could sense your unease, and you also knew that he wanted to help you feel better. he didn’t deserve the attitude that was brewing.
“y/n, you’re not, and stop saying you are,” he was growing irritated because he knew that the longer you bottled it up, the more explosive you’d be. he also just wanted you to be ok. he hated watching you battle your past silently.
“why? why do you care so much about how i feel?” you snapped, your posture illustrating just how tense you were. you were tied up and tense, and just one wrong word would set you off.
“because it’s affecting your health, y/n! it’s taking a toll on your body and all of us can see that,” he didn’t want to fight, he didn’t want to argue with you. he didn’t want any of this but he was too caught up in the moment, and he didn’t want the moment where he’d shut down to come any faster.
“i don’t need you to try and make me feel better! i can do it by myself,” you snapped, standing up and stepping away from him. your anger was coiling around your lungs, transforming into something stronger: grief.
“you’re not supposed to,” hunter watched as you turned away from him. his senses were in overdrive, and he wasn’t sure how much more of his own emotions he’d be able to regulate, but he wanted to help you.
“you have no idea what it’s like to watch your life fall all around you. to be hunted down by the thing you once called your best friend. to reach out into the force to find some semblance of comfort and instead you’re met with emptiness. you have no idea how it feels to lose everyone you love in the span of a few hours,” your voice started out raised, almost yelling at hunter, but the more you processed the words you were saying, the softer your voice got. grief laid between your heart and your lungs, suffocating you as you struggled to keep it together.
silence crept between you, inflating and creating an uncomfortable tension. you’ve never talked about order 66, only to say it was horrific and you didn’t want to look back. hunter stepped forwards as you hugged yourself, tears spilling from your eyes. you were supposed to have control over your emotions, to regulate them in order to have clear judgement. you weren’t taught how to grieve.
“y/n…” hunter’s voice was a whisper. he stepped towards you, laying a gentle hand on your shoulder. hunter knew loss, he knew fear, but he didn’t know the loss you felt. he’s never seen you break in such a fragile way.
“i miss them, hunter. i’m so alone,” you sniffle as you try to regain some composure. hunter shook his head as he fought through his own body, which screamed at him to step away, to wait. he took you into his arms, cradling the back of your head with one of his hands. he felt every emotion that was pouring out of you. he felt your grief, your anger, and your guilt.
“you’re not as alone as you think,” he hummed as he swayed you gently, trying to be the force that brings you some semblance of comfort after all this time.

fuck it I know constantly complaining about the Silent Hill 2 remake makes it look like I'm just searching for things to complain about, but there really is so much wrong with the SH2 redesign even on its face. despite my vehement belief that Silent Hill 2 does not need a remake - what it needs is a digital rerelease and proper remaster (although the Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition takes care of 90% of that - the only thing needed is upscaled textures) I am willing to admit that for the most part, the new characters look Fine. I have issues with the cinematography and the way the designers clearly Do Not understand the artistry of the cinematography (see Exhibit A) but generally the character models look good. and I don't just mean graphically speaking - I mean if someone said "hey here's my interpretation of what the Silent Hill characters would look like in a more modern, realistic game style/based on different actors" I would say wow, yeah! that's pretty spot on! (though I do think James looks way too put-together and conventionally attractive, but it's not the worst redesign in the world.) and then there's Maria.
Maria is supposed to be a very unsettling character who is instantly in James' face about how much she wants to be with him. she's clingy and dramatic and as far as we (and James) know, it's for no apparent reason - I mean, she just met him, right? it's only in Born from a Wish that we get a more sympathetic look at her character and realize why she acts the way she does. that, holy shit, this isn't a monster, this is a literal person that was created by Silent Hill and who has nothing except the memory of James and that she loves him. that's it. it's supposed to come as a surprise and make us feel uncomfortable because her entire situation is fucked up. on the surface though, throughout the main game, she acts seductive, confident, and catty. she's not outwardly likeable. tons of people found her to be annoying and that's the response you're meant to have initially. because you don't know that under the surface she's a scared, lonely woman who doesn't want to die but has no way to truly live.
I could continue to talk about how the remake spoils her entire character because she comes across meek and frightened or how they took away her iconic tacky cheetah skirt and crop top and heavier makeup and replaced it with an extremely normal, not uncanny face, and put her in a decidedly more modest evening gown and leather jacket for some reason but I know I'm gonna just have people shouting that the game isn't even out yet so I should totally trust the people who wrote The Medium to write good female characters... nobody ever learns a thing. peace.

Finding Love Katakuri x Reader Part 4
Eyes closed and sleeping peacefully she laid before him like a goddess. How could someone be that beautiful?
Katakuri could just stay there and admire her relaxed form in his double bed. To think that he could sleep beside her as her husband, let his cheeks burn. Sighing he thought about a way to wake her up. It was early in the morning as he received the message from his mother to come to whole cake island for a small tea party. Because of some arrangements he had to fulfill on the way, he had to leave soon with (Y/N), but she was still in bed.
"If she wakes up now and sees me, she would think I was peeping.. ", he thought emberassed and got nervous.
"Quick Katakuri quick…", his mind and heart was racing as he came to her side. Slowly and a bit shaken his fingers brushed against her cheek to wake her up. His normally rough hands tried to be as careful as possible.
"(Y/N)?", Katakuri asked hopefully and got a soft grumble as answer.
"how adorable…", he thought flustered and nudged her with his finger on her nose.
"Get up we have to leave.", he spoke a bit louder and slowly her eyes fluttered open. Confused (Y/N) got up and stretched her arms with a loud yawn. Rubbing her eyes, she looked up to Katakuri and gave him a short, sleep drunken "morning".
Shocked Katakuri stepped back and hid is face in his scarf, while pointing towards her chest.
"I am so sorry. I didn't know that you are sleeping like that!!", he quickly stuttered and turned around.
(Y/N) blinked a few times, realizing what was going on.
"Katakuri?!", she gasped that he was here and then her look fell onto her chest. She was in her underwear.
"Oh my God! It was so hot last night that I just slept in that. What are you doing here?", she stuttered and hid herself under the blanket.
"God (Y/N) saying it like that, didn't make it better!", he spoke shocked and quickly went to the door to wait outside.
"We are going to Whole cake island. My mother is holding a tea party, but before, I have to go shopping. You have 1 hour left to get ready.", he spoke through the door, still flustered of thinking of her amazing body. He could have seen that with his observation haki, but his concentration around her wasn't the best. And maybe he was thankful that he didn't use it.
(Y/N) got up from her bed and smiled from ear to ear. "You take me with you on your tour!? I will be able to see the city of Whole cake island? That sounds great. I will be ready. Thank you!!", she spoke excited and quickly rushed into the bathroom.
Hearing her excitement let his normal cold expression soften. He knew that she was lonely. He didn't mind that most of the time she was baking his doughnuts, but in a way he felt bad that he didn't know how to treat her right. For him it was easier to avoid her, but this time he had to bring her to her first tea party. An event where you have to be on high alert. Everything could happen. Big mom was known for her cruel plans. Who knows what was going on. Katakuri wanted to give it a try and spend some time with her. Maybe he was able to talk to her and get to know her better. And she really needed to get outside.
"I am ready!", (Y/N) announced carefree and shocked Katakuri with an adorable summer dress with little flowers on it. Her hair was open and framed her face perfectly. Katakuri gulped and nodded quickly. Without another word, he headed to the exit with his excited wife beside him.
Silent they walked to the bay to get to their ship. Amazed (Y/N) watched the beautiful fields with awe and didn't pay attention on her feet.
"Stay focused on where you are going. You will fall.", Katakuri spoke shortly. (Y/N) stopped her sightseeing and nodded quickly. This was her first journey with him. She had to focus on her attitude and avoid making troubles.
"Sorry Katakuri.", she spoke and he could sense the change in her voice. Sighing he hated himself to scare her again.
"I could see that you would fall and you hurt your knee. I wanted to avoid that.", he spoke emotionless and looked into her confused face.
"You are able to see the future?!", she asked stunned and he had to chuckle of her childish behavior.
"Not in such a way you think. Only short scenes. I sensed something bad and it involved you. So I focused and saw this moment…", he explained like it was no big deal, but (Y/N) gasped of amazement.
"Wow. That's really fascinating…", she spoke deep in thought.
"Before our wedding. Did you also try to see anything?"
Gasping that (Y/N) blurted the words out so bluntly, she gave Katakuri an uneasy look. To remind him of their forced marriage wasn't a good conversation starter.
"Like?" he asked and stopped. (Y/N) felt scared to say anything wrong that he would shout at her or maybe send her back to lock her away of her rudeness.
"How I look like? And change things quickly to avoid to be stuck with me? ", she tried to lighten up the conversation with a joke but he didn't respond. He thought it was more the way round.
"Did I do something like that? ", he asked shortly and (Y/N) shook her head quickly.
" if you would be able to… What would you do?", he asked seriously, his look directed to the bay.
"Honestly..i wouldn't want to see anything and just let it happen. There wasn't a way for me to change it anyway.", (Y/N) answered and looked up to his strong gaze.
"Right. There is your answer. I did as I was told, like you. ", he ended their talk with walking again. (Y/N) catched up with him and followed his lead without any complain. She wasn't sad or upset. She was grateful to hear his true opinion about this topic. Even if it sounded kind of cruel. It was their wedding after all.
Getting onto the small ship, she took a seat, while Katakuri spoke with his servants. Getting to her side, he sat down beside her and crossed his arms over his muscular chest. Looking up to him she believed that he was resting with his eyes closed. Her look fell onto the sea and let her sigh in delight. The fresh air, the bright sun. It was such a beautiful day. Unnoticed by her, Katakuri watched her the whole time.
Was she enjoying their time together?
"We will head now to Whole cake Island and stop at sweet city. It's very lively. I have to do some shopping for Mama. I want you to stay close by my side or in my sight. The people there are very respectful towards us, but there could be some idiots as well.", he explained shortly and his heart fluttered of her smile.
" I will do my best Katakuri… "
Sighing he avoid her look and grumbled something she couldn't hear.
" What? "
" I.. I said if you want… we have time to look into shops what you like… ", he spoke quickly and froze in the spot after feeling her hugging his arm.
" Thank you. I would love to.", she spoke happily and sensed his uneasy behavior. Quickly she gave him space and apologized.
" No problem", he spoke shortly and they fell silent again. (Y/N) felt embarrassed about her touchy attitude. She just hugged him, but she felt that he really was making progress in becoming softer and friendlier with her. She didn't see him often the past few days and their conversations were always short. To be that kind and more open was completely out of character.
"Maybe my doughnuts are the reason.", she smiled and noticed that they were stopping. Getting out of the ship they headed to a busy street with all different kind of people. Uneasy and overwhelmed by the sight, (Y/N) grabbed Katakuri's arm out of instinct. Looking down to her, he realized her fear and pulled her closer to his side to show her that she was safe. Relieved she smiled weakly and they walked along the streets.
"This is Lady (Y/N)?!"
"wow. She is breathtaking!"
"What a beautiful wife our Sweet commander got!"
Embarrassed she tried to avoid the stares and focused on the shops. There were mostly bakeries or sweet shops. Everything looked amazing.
"I have to order something at this shop. You can look around here if you want. Don't worry nobody dares to harm you in any way.", he spoke and left to get things finished. A cold shiver ran down her back. It was the first time that she was alone outside as his wife, but (Y/N) wanted to take the chance and just do what every girl loves to do. Shopping. Looking through a shop window, she admired the beautiful clothes with awe. Sadly the shop was located next to a bar and (Y/N) was noticed by some drunk men.
"Look Look Look what do we have here."
Narrowing her eyes of the slurring words, she turned around and was met with a drunk young man who was standing close… Too close for her taste.
"That's a sight to see. Alone sweetheart? Why don't you come with me and my crew?", he slurred happily. Stepping back (Y/N) looked for Katakuri, but he wasn't there.
"Looking for your man? Forget him. You belong to me now. We will have a good time…", he rested his hand above her head and wanted to kiss her, but was stopped by the Barkeeper.
"I wouldn't do that. Take your friends and leave immediately. She is married to.. " he spoke in a demanding tone, but was pushed to the ground by the other men.
"You useless piece of shit. I always get what I want. She is married. Who cares.", he spoke and turned back to (Y/N) who didn't know how to handle this situation.
"Leave me alone. I am not interested. My husband is close by and will come for me. ",she spoke angered and got away from him. Turning around she headed to the shop where Katakuri was, but felt a hand roughly grab her ass.
"You go nowhere. Show me your man that I could make you a widow. Who is it?", he asked amused and enjoyed the touch of her butt. (Y/N) froze in the spot. Never had she been treated so low. Like a piece of meat. Something snapped inside of her and her anger raise. Katakuri noticed what happened through the shop window. His blood boiled of anger. He had to hold himself back badly to not explode and destroy the city.
"Who's your man?"
Feeling a tall dangerous presence behind his back, (Y/N)'s abuser turned around and got pale.
"That's me.", Katakuri growled and crossed his arms.
"You are married to Katakuri Charlotte? Charlotte… Katakuri is your man??", the drunk man stuttered shocked, but (Y/N) didn't notice anything. She was so angry. Turning around she watched the man with a deadly glare. Already pale of Katakuri's look, the man shuddered of (Y/N) 's attitude and was about to run away, but she roughly grabbed him by his collar.
"What the hell are you thinking! Touching me like that without my permission!!!! You drunken rogue!!!!", she growled like a monster and kicked his jaw with her foot, which let him fly meters away.
"I swear if you ever come close to me again or hurt this innocent shopkeeper. I will kick you across whole cake island!", she shouted pissed and balled her fists.
Breathing heavily (Y/N) calmed down and noticed the shocked people around her. Embarrassed she turned away and was met with Katakuri, who looked down to her with raised eyebrows. Would she get punished for that? She didn't know, but it was worth it. Nobody was allowed to touch her and get away with it only because she had to behave.
"I have to admit I didn't expect that", Katakuri spoke calmly and watched his flustered wife.
"I apologize for my outburst…", she bowed uneasy, but suddenly felt a hand on her head, which ruffled her hair for a short moment.
"Don't be. He made you uncomfortable. I am a bit surprised that you kicked him this far. You are quite strong. ", he spoke calmly, but still really pissed. Walking towards the shopkeeper, (Y/N) watched him surprised. His touch was so soft and careful. And was he really making her a compliment?
"Did they harm you in any way or destroy anything?", Katakuri asked seriously.
"Master Katakuri. I am so sorry that I wasn't able to keep your wife safe. I don't know these people. They just arrived here today and celebrated here. Thank you for your help. Everything is fine now…", the man spoke frightened and Katakuri nodded.
"You should thank my wife. She did most of the job…", he spoke coldly and hated himself that he was too late. How stupid to think he could let a beautiful girl like her just walk around on her own, but out of all people she had to get the attention of these strange men.
In the meantime, (Y/N) was watching him secretly from the side. She had to admit that his crimson hair and look was quite attractive. And touching his muscular arm gave her goosebumps. Didn't she notice before? At their wedding she found him mostly scary, but after getting to know him better and seeing how he treats his people with care, his image changed. She felt a sudden warmth in her chest and safe by his side.
"what am I thinking?", she thought stunned. Did she felt so excited that she started to get feelings towards him? But in a way he had some special charm on him and he was her husband after all. Would it be wrong to give in? Quickly pushing these thoughts aside, because it was too complicated she listened silently.
"Master Katakuri is something wrong?", a group of Big mom's soldiers appeared beside him.
"I want you to take this man into a cell and there should also be his crew somewhere. Find them and arrest them.", he ordered shortly and they left quickly. Turning to his wife he grabbed her hand in his.
"Is everything alright? Are you hurt?", he asked seriously and she could hear a hint of worriness in his words. Shaking her head he relaxed and started to walk, still her hand in his. Embarrassed she avoid his strong gaze and didn't want to let go. Katakuri was too focused on his heated temper that he totally forgot about this embarrassing act of his.
"What is going to happen with this man?", she asked uneasy and could feel his hand tightened for a moment.
"He will get what he deserves."
A cold shiver ran down her spine after hearing the anger in his words.
This man was screwed.

Lonely place
Part 2 of the greek gods AU
Tumblr media
Truly to her words the young godness came back to meet the stranger man she meet
"You came ?"
"That's what she said " he replied holding back his laughter to the point where tears were forming in his eyes
"Really I can't believe how unmature you are" despite her harsh words she a tiny little smile was beginning to form on her face
"Don't deny it , you found it funny "
"No I didn't "
"Then why are you smiling " he asked her with a smug on his face
"Fine it was little funny , but for real I am glad that you came "
taken back from her words his smug face started breaking down and a small rosy blush was starting to decorate his pale cheeks and the tips of his flame like hair
"What ? But we just met like once how could you trust someone like that? Are you this naive or just plain stupid? " he was starting to get angry and concern, angry at himself because what is someone else approached her when he was away and concerne for her due to her innocent soul
"But you aren't a stranger, you have been watching me for sometime now " she told him in gentle voice
"What? How did you know?" Disbelief was written all over his face now his chances of knowing more of the beautiful goodness was blown away now
"The flowers told me about you and how gentle you were while watching them whenever I am not around, surely at first I was skeptical of you but after sometime I realized you didn't want any harm , so I just when along with the flow "
"You really know how to use your magic huh " the amount of relief he felt after hearing her words were unimaginable
"I sure do, but they never told me your name "
But all she got was silent , she sat on the Grass while tapping the spot beside her signaling to him to sit with her, and he sat with her their shouls where touched each other feeling the light breeze over their skin they felt into comfort silent until he decided to speak
" You will leave and never talk to me again if I did " his voice was low and almost sad filled with loneliness
"why are you sure about that "
"Because that's what everyone did "
"I wouldn't leave ! I pinky promise you that I will never leave you hopeless and miserable man "
" I am not hopeless and miserable I am cool and mysterious and also who the he'll still uses pinky promises what are you Five ?!"he asked in the most disbeliefed and angry tone he could master and his head was starting to turn red from anger
" Fine, you want my name, I am the heartless God that ruled over the underworld ifia shroud "he turned to look at her expecting her to hate him to look at him with hate and disgust but he met something else that ,made him fall harder for her , her orbs shining with wonder and curiosity
"I knew it ! Your hair changes paced on your emotions " she screamed the words to his face making back away and he realized how close the were
" m my hair ¿!?!. IS THAT THR ONLY THIHG YOU CARE ABOUT YOU CRAZY WOMAN"
"CRAZY WHO ARE YOU CALLING CRAZY YOU WAKLING CAMP FIRE " and in no time the wre both throwing insults at each other until they finally calmed down
" so you aren't afraid of me,?" he was still in disbelief
" do you really think if I would be afraid of you I would be here throwing insults at you "
"Probably not " he shrugged his shoulder
"But to be honest, I thought you would be more scary not some lanky tall pale guy who has social anxiety and probably screams when he see a buy "
" What did you just say "realizing how stupid she was to insult the GOD OF THE FUCKING UNDERWORLD she decided to run for her life and he is following her their screams and laughs filling the empty flower field and that's how their new friendship started to bloom
Everyday they would meet together sometimes the boy would bring his younger brother with him and he would start regretting it after his brother tells her something embarrassing about him but that's okay his two favorite people are bonding together he could wish for anything better than it
And years after years he finally gathered enough courage to confess his love to her but she didn't came that day or the day after it for a whole month the woman he loved didn't show up and his concern for her was increasing each second he can't see her but his thoughts and heart stopped after hearing the news about her wedding he felt anger betrayal and heart broken
" idia she is forced into it _" his younger brother was trying to make him listen but he wasn't he was to stubborn to believe that
"And how do you know it " he replied angry tears falling down his face now
The younger brother who had enough of his brother bullshit decided to finally free his arms from his brother love life
"I love you idia but you are genuinely stupid because the woman was literally all over you , she flirted, braided your hair, made you matching flower crown and SHE HAS BEEN EATING POMEGRANATES WITH YOU EVERY SINGLE DAY "
" But_ "no buts go safe the woman that loves you before its late Gooooo"
finally deciding to listen to his brother the sad weeping man stood up and ran like his life depends on it to find his the love of his life
"I don't get paid enough for this "
,meanwhile with the flower goodness who was still holding on hope that maybe someone will hear her prayers and safe her from this hell she is getting herself into ,, but maybe she already lost her hope she is slowly walking down the path of red roses to the man waiting for her he wasn't idia heck she doesn't even know him all she know is that her mother picked him up for her because he was perfect match for her
"OH gods from above and UNDER please her muy prayers and let the ground swallow me before I do a grave mistake to myself "that wax what she has been repeating over in her head for like an hour
and suddenly the floor underneath her creaked and she fell into a huge creak in the ground every thing felt like a blur she didn't even get to scream but she felt arms around her hugging her buddy in bridal style ,opening her eyes she saw her savior her knight in hoodie and pajamas pants puffy red eyes grinning down at her like a mad man
" hehe mission success "
She wanted to slap him but instead she kissed him and Hard , separating her lips from him and resting her forhead on top of his ,she wanted to scold him to shout at him for being late to be angry at him but she couldn't after all she loved him the only thing she said was
"I love you so darn much "
"I love you more "

AROACE POLYSHO ???? SPILL SPILL SPILL TWLL ME ALL ABOUT IT PLEASE
AROACE POLYSHOW AROACE POLYSHOW THE GREATEST THING OF ALL TIME.
things of note that i think are fun.... nene and rui had major questioning phases pre-wxs about being aroace. i'd imagine nene being really confused why everyone around her seemed so interested in dating and romance and the whole amatanormative feel of dramatic media and such. it's in so many plays, and people get in so many shipping wars/draw suggestive art for games. it's hard to ignore as a theater kid and gamer. she didn't get it and felt isolated. she came across the term aroace online but had a hard time accepting that she might be that, but eventually silently embraced it. rui on the other hand knew full well he was not like other people. he's not the kind of guy who would pick and choose a crush that isn't there. being aroace and a middle/high schooler made him feel even more lonely and alienated from his peers. he agknowledged the fact he was aroace pretty easily, but it took him a lot longer to accept that isn't a bad thing at all.
emu and tsukasa had NO clue they were aroace. did not occur to them at all. emu had to be told it was a thing and she went "huh? OHHH THATS ME !!!! :D". skipped teh entire questioning/am i broken stage and went right to "hehehehehehe". (though other people don't believe her that often. emu is so full of love. how could someone like her not fall in love with other people? she's too young. she hasn't met the right person yet. it's just a phase. her siblings started off as ignorantly aphobic, but then realized the fault of their ways and learned.). my hc for tsukasa is a bit different than other peoples, but i am fully convinced he thought he was bisexual for teh LONGEST time. "guys and girls can both be good looking, so i must be bi! yeah the extent of my feelings is "they're cool" ... what do you mean that's not what a crush is". it was a shocking revelation to him that people actually want to kiss/have sex for real. he's accepted being aroace and actively embraces it, though he still feels connected to teh bi label. he'd like the concept of tertiary attraction and probably label as bi aroace, to honor both.
i like to think that tsukasa accidentally came out first (accidentally meaning he simply forgot to tell them and then was surprised when they were all surprised). emu was like !!!!! omg samsies and nene laughed and came out, too. wxs were the first people rui ever said the words "aromantic asexual" out loud to.
i personally think aroace polyshow never actually labeled themeselves as such, but BOY do tehy act like they're all married. they just care about each other soooooo much. its platonic its queer platonic its romantic its everything all blended together. if its them, they can do anything. with the shared knowledge of being aroace, they all also sort of feel more comfortable being openly affectionate, yknow? there's no risk of misinterpretation of intent- they love each other. they love each other in a way that they cannot describe and most people wouldn't understand. they are tied by their love of shows and their love of each other. emu is really physically affectionate and they all feel safe cuddling with her. rui lightheartedly flirts and half the time i dont think he even realizes he's doing it, the other half he's just trying to be silly. nene excels in the silent acts of love, making sure the stage is clean and there's always a few snacks backstage and honeslty just being there for everyone.
they have game night/sleepover every once in a while, usually during planning stages of shows. there's also a high likelyhood one goes to another's house at least once a week for some reason.
oh also they never do romance plays ever. it was a revelation tehy only came to after coming out. it just... never occured to them to do one. and now that they all know none of them can fall in love they actively try and avoid it. they've re-written fables to be about the power of friendship, or re-imagined the tale to the point romance wouldn't even be on anyone's mind. it's not a theme the audience ever picks up on, but at the same time they do? they don't realize the pattern but nobody ever comes out of a show with that interpretation. their shows are a hit every time, too. ("story" doesn't mean "romance", after all).
wonderlands x showtime isn't a romance. it's a love story.

Raghuvan, Teri raah nihare
Chapter 10, part 2
S/N: made me cry. @vijayasena enjoy bbg
"What is happening here" the annoyed, manly voice, was no one but Babai himself. Ram pulled Sita behind him, stepping between Babai and her. "You asked me to get them married and then come here, begging to him? What's the point? My disrespect? When will you realize that you will never be anyone's, that you will never get married and you're just a who-"
"Babai, that's enough" Babai stared at Ram. "Even if you get married to this" Babai pointed at Sita "Remember I will never accept her and, what am i even supposed to tell Adikavya?" He threw his hand up. The tension in the room was leaking, and any bypasser could know what was happening. Jangu stared nervously, unsure what was going to happen. "Why won't she leave us alone" babai cried, as Sita huddled closer to Ram.
"Because I love her" Ram realized he didn't get to answer Sita. "I love her and i dont care what her job was. No one who speaks ill of her has ever sat with her and heard her voice, listened what she said, see what she likes to do and what goes on in her mind. No one knew how she loves and how true it is. No one knows that she was ready to sacrifice her love for the sake of my happiness. For your happiness. So no one gets to speak things that are not true. I am going to marry Sita, and Adikavya's family should have known before betrothing her to me. And if they knew and didn't care, then they don't love their daughter"
Babai's anger shot through the sky. Despite Ram's attempts, he hastily grabbed Sita by her arm, dragging her out of Ram's room. "I don't care what magic you have done on my son, but I ask you to leave. Now". Sita held her sore arm, crying softly. Ram didn't like the treatment his lover was getting by his own uncle. He stepped forward, gently pulling Sita towards him. Babai let out a exasperated sigh.
The commotion has gotten enough attention now- the groom enveloping another woman! Hushed voices and giggles were audible by the seekers, and amongst them stood the only well wisher who came to bid goodbye to the groom.
Akhtar made his way to Adikavya's home. The decoration was up to par, the wedding ceremony ready to be unfolded in a sacred space adorned with flowers and traditional symbols. The fragrance of incense wafted through the air as everyone was busy. He hurried through the steps, hiding and making his way to Adikavya's room. As he wouldn't be allowed to enter, he picked up a flower vase nearby, asking girls where the bride's room was- the vase must be kept there. Finally finding her room, he barged in, scaring the lonely bride. He quickly kept the vase down, and Adikavya was confused once she saw Akhtar. "What are you doing here?" she whisper yelled, scared he will be caught. Akhtar couldn't help but rake his eyes. Her red lehenga with gold embroidery, the jewellery and simple makeup, it all matched up. She looked like a princess.
"Akhtar?!" He snapped back to reality
"Sita, she came back to Ram and Ram is determined to marry her. Pack your bags and leave, this is the perfect opportunity" Akhtar said, to a lost Adikavya. He sighed. "Adi, this is your chance. This wedding will be broken because Ram isn't going to marry you. You deserve better."
"You deserve me", Akhtar thought, "You need to leave, now, and you will have a better life."
"But what about my parents? My family?" She looked tired.
"Do you think you will be able to become someone they will be proud of?" Adikavya was taken aback. She wanted to complete her studies, get a job, be in a good position and earn a lot. She wanted to be a change. Adikavya nodded.
"Then go". Akhtar handed her a bus ticket to Delhi. "My mother and sister will be waiting, just tell them your name"
A sudden uproar outside made her anxious. Adikavya stood there, looking at the ticket in her hands. The strings of her life were in her hands now. She went to grab her packed bags, Akhtar helping her carry them. They silently made their way out, but a bride never goes unseen. Her chachi, who looked nervous, came running in her pink saree, when she spotted adikavya out of her room.
"Adi" she started. but before she could say something. the bags and Akhtar caught her sight. "Please" Adikavya muttered. "I'll be fine" her chachi, looked down, back where the mandap was set. She opened her pouch, giving her a bundle of currency notes. Adikavya gave her a teary smile and hug, when they escaped from the back gate, unknowing of the hassle unfolding downstairs.
In the meantime, Ram was tired of Babai disrespecting his going to be wife. Ram took Sita's hand, and pulled her with him, Babai and Jangu running after them. "Ram-" Sita tried, but Ram's eyes only glinted at her. "Don't worry. I am here". Ram stopped in front of Adikavya's home, when he spotted the mandap set.
Sita's heart beat faster and louder than the dhol, which stopped. The fire provided a warmth to her cold, shivering fingers. The anxiety never calming down. When Adikavya's family witnessed Ram holding a dressed up woman, they stared in horror. Her brothers stepped up, holding Ram's collar. "Do you think this is a game?" Ram freed himself from the grip by force, giving a dead stare to her brothers. Adikavya's chachi slipped away. "You think this is a game" he pointed at them, "marrying your sister to someone who already has rumors to his name. Is she a burden to you?"
Adikavya's family was furious. They approached Babai, who were already tired with the drama. "What about our Adikavya?" They hollered, when her chachi came back, whispering something in her husband's ear. He shot her a look, and then looked at Ram. "What do you wish?" he stepped forward.
Sita's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she listened to Ram. "I wish to marry Sita, and I wish that your Adikavya lives a life she wants." Adikavya's family has understood their own situation by now rather quickly. When they don't have a bride themselves, how can they stop the groom marrying someone else? They hung their head in shame, knowing well that they can't let any relative know that Adikavya has run away. But her mother decided to have an upper hand.
"Do what you wish, because we are not letting our daughter to marry someone like you. Better heartbroken than insulted" she said, then disappearing in the crowd. Ram looked at Sita, and the tears that rolled down her cheeks. He softly wiped them away.
Amidst the lively chaos, the Ram's eyes sought his bride. The moment of their glance was magical, as their eyes locked, sharing a silent promise of a lifetime together. The pheras, each step resonating with promises of love and understanding, added a solemn and spiritual dimension to the festivities. The exchange of vows, the tying of the mangalsutra, and the application of sindoor marked the beginning of a sacred union.
Sita only remembered being tired in that golden look of hers, but she never expected that to be her bridal clothes. Hell, she never expected to be a bride. Ram and Sita knew they will not be getting any blessing from any elder anytime soon, but they also knew that Babai will come around. Sita remembered the first time she saw Ram- a wet newspaper packet in his hand with two paans, his eyes curious and clothes neat. Something struck in her mind, giving him a golden shadow whenever she looked at him. Sita remembered losing herself to live life, but Ram was the first time she thought about herself.
