so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

reposting my youtube comment onto here bc its literally all i can think about. caitvi may have been affecting each other's lives for far longer than they know (they may have been saving each other for far longer than they've realized too).

I've seen a lot of good theories about where the timeline divergence came from (damn the arcane fandom is so big brained sometimes, good job y'all), but this one consistently rots my brain from the inside out bc my god. i will never get over the underlying tragedy of ep 7. how one small difference could have changed it all.

arcane really is a story of what ifs, each more painful to think about than the last.

• the removal of the class division plot

• huge lead up to a revolution arc just for nothing to come of it

• on the nose copaganda

• too much focus on jayce and viktors arcs

• too much focus on noxus and the black rose

• too little focus on mel's arc

• the multiverse episode as a whole. massive waste of time

• caitlyns ""redemption""

• the utter lack of nuance

• the way things set up in s1 were solved too quickly or fully ignored

• character motivations established in s1 get ignored or change too quickly to feel natural

• the way ekko and vi's relationship is ignored

• too many montages with some that last way too long

• isha. nothing character

• too many side characters and not enough time to expand on who they are or their motivations

• the retcons. especially mage viktor and felicia

There are shows that I'm disappointed got cancelled but I'm genuinely mad about Dead Boy Detectives. Like that was a huge fuckup on Netflix's part, and Netflix being Netflix means they won't part with the show and sell it to another studio if they can avoid it, while also not actually doing anything with it.

"Yeah but it had low viewership" I live in Los Angeles, tv show and film capital of the world, and saw a grand total of one billboard and very few posters... When the show had already been released.

I think they did get the mural on Melrose, the one near Fairfax, but I don't remember seeing it complete which is usually not a great sign.

The designs for the posters and billboards were so cool too, like they legitimately just threw 3 years of hundreds of people's work straight in the trash before the show even came out. I will literally never stop being mad about this.

I don’t have terribly high hopes that this will happen but imagine if we get Senior Year and the final fight is level 20 Bad Kids. Fantasy high is D20’s flagship property and the Bad Kids the original D20 party. How iconic would it be if they reached max level and become truly unstoppable gods, probably fighting something like reality itself just to make it a challenge still
