Day 12?? i guess??

after maturing and going out on their own, one of Fake's Fakelings came across a huge body of water, a place that made the froggy-senses in their brain tingle with glee. at first, the water made them runny, their body unable to hold moisture well, just like their parent. but unlike with him, the sensation wasn't bad, and they loved the cool, wet feeling of the water around them. so their body began to adapt, getting comfortable with the aquatic place they'd called home. a longer tail, webbed limbs for swimming, and skin that didn't fall apart in the water; and so, it gave rise to the only Fake that can withstand water:

here is Pisceno! they spend almost all of their time in the water now, being outside it makes their skin dry out and it quite uncomfy. they're quite shy as well, hiding out in the deepest parts of lakes and ponds to avoid being spotted. but this comes to their advantage as well, as hiding in the dark makes it easy to hunt for delicious fish! they can swim as fast in water as Fake Peppino is on land, which is... quite the terrifying thought 👀💧

they are quite the skilled hunter, chasing fish and other aquatic creatures whenever they can. there's only one problem; they're not the only ones hunting fish in the lake they call home. there's rumors of an aquatic monster that snatches fish and lines from fisherman..... (but how can you blame them, when there's food being delivered to you on a line?)

yknow i've seen a few posts talking about people hoping their Rooks can bond with Lucanis over them raiding his chamber-pantry for a midnight snack, but never in a platonic way yet

so i'll be the first. i very much want to experience the profound understanding (and, yeah, very mild judgement) that exists between a woman who just got done experiencing that legendary Grey Warden stamina for the first time and is having difficulty walking, and the man who guards the cheeses.

Hi guys, this is usually what a doodle page ends up looking like <3 (oh, and @ancha-aus thought you might like this! Not writing but certainly fuel to my fire lol-)

This one is New Age filled!!! (Close-ups abd Lore beneath the cut!)

1) Night and Cross!

Night is actually very clingy once he's a teen. He doesn't usually realize it, but around the castle he'll snake to be closer to his Knights so long as there's no one he needs to keep his composure infront of is nearby. Cross is the one who's not used to physical touch (when it's not Ink ofc) so Night in his personal bubble makes his heart melt but also scares tf out of him <3

2) Error and Night's Meeting!

Error was carrying his whole life on his back and trying not to get arrested for unintentional property damage at this point, so when he saw the chance to get back at his brother and prove he was strong enough? Yeah, he got that on chance instantly. And was VERY smug when Nightmare chose him. (Also, Error is wearing gloves, so less Haphephobia)

3) Dream and Blue designs!

I think these are good tentative designs! Dream probably has a more regal fit, but he likes to play up that rugged exile look- He's inspired by Archers, while Blue takes on that classic Knightly-vibe. Their equipment is mostly stolen from Night's troops or brought with them from Blue's home kingdom.

Also, Dream is approx Killer's height at this point, shorter than Cross and *much* shorter than Apple!Nightmare. (Hc that Skeletons tend to be tinier in stature thanks to weird monster beauty standards. Horror and Geno's fam are outliers.)

4) Horror and Dust designs!

Horror is naturally a very *large* monster. He's very malnourished when Nightmare meets him, but by the time he's a Knight Nightmare has made sure that's no longer the case. He actually loves comfy, simple clothes, but to play up the whole 'strong mysterious' bit he wears a more barbaric Knight's garb. He doesn't mind acting scary, it's more fun that way :]. Dust is very very small, and envies horror sometimes for his size, but his tiny stature let's him control his body and move a lot quicker. He's very much based on a rogue, and usually covers the lower part of his face w/ a black cloth, and the upper part w/ his hood or mask. Dust only removes both to bathe, eat, or relax in a safe location. (Ignore that I can't draw the stupid gaster blaster lmao-)

These last two were space-fillers, but Cross and his Borzoi (Windmill, otherwise known as Milly (Killer named her-)) and really bad first wips of Ccino! I think Ccino was a chubby, happy toddler, but lost a lot of 'weight' (bone mass? Magic?) due to stress and pressure and bad eating habits. So it isn't until a while after the Coronation that he starts to relax abd feel safe enough to eat normal meals (Nightmare used to guilt him into eating snacks together, but as his boss (and younger brother) he can encourage it more often). By the time Killer shows he's still not quite healthy, but he's better. As more weight is lifted off his shoulders, the better he is. (That 'beauty' most people saw was a more stereotypical slimness, but Killer never stopped seeing Ccino as beautiful-) I think he never looked traditionally underweight, so no one noticed, and it was only much later that Night processed it. (And maybe it's why Dream hardly recognized him later on-)

Sure, The Wall has upheld its status of no breakouts for over 50 years, but certain more minor incidents can be brushed under the rug.

Two prisoners - one trained as an experimental form of guard, the other an elite member of the notorious Toppat Clan - made their silent escape from The Wall. Their whereabouts, as of yet, are unknown.

My biggest issue with young!Jee is that he isn't anywhere near as smart as OG old!Jee, and that just doesn't feel right for the character. OG Jee would have known Zhao was manipulating him against Zuko's best interests the second Zhao opened his mouth.

i disagree. canon jee doesn't tell us much. and honestly jee hated zukos guts. i wouldn't be surprised if jee for some cheep booze told zhaos crew that zuko found the avatar in the south pole. he left, like the entire crew did as well, zukos ship on zhaos order. leaving zuko and iroh behind.

if your interpretation of original jee is that he is smart and a devoted lieutenant, that is fine by me. but it reads vary fanon to me.

penelope canonically retreating to her room and refusing food = she puts on some weight, the reason being both lack of physical activity as well as her body being on constant emergency mode (so what little she does eat ends up being stored away bc the body doesnt know when the 'starvation' will end). whats more her constant stress elevates cortisol levels which in and of itself leads to weight gain esp in the abdominal area.

Both mung beans and adzuki beans in flavor remind me of navy beans (southern baked bean type of bean)

-->Where, to my surprise, both Surprise the cat and Brian Pimental the NAP inspector/family friend were waiting at the entrance! I had Smiler go and chat with Brian for a while as Victor petted the cat (remaking friends with it, yay), then had Victor and Alice watch “Sims Of The Dead” (which they didn’t think much of) while Smiler got a free drink from Brian’s wrist and I dragged all the photos out of Alice’s inventory to look through them and decide which ones I wanted to keep. I ended up keeping one small picture of the trio doing silly “fashion” poses and putting it in Victor and Alice’s bedroom, on the side table with the sacred candles, and four medium pictures – two pumpkin pictures (one normal one, one “inverted filter” one – I thought it looked cool) and two of the trio posing. The pumpkin pictures and the trio doing more fun “fashion” poses ended up on the wall of the basement over the “alchemy couch,” while another one of the gang doing “romantic” poses ended up in the barn next to Smiler’s robotics bench as I had nowhere else to put it. XD Not enough visible wall space in this house! Oh, and while I was at it, I hung up Alice’s latest abstract painting in the barn as well, near her jewelry bench and crystal displays, as it looked rather crystal-y itself. Might as well, right? Barn could use some decoration too. (Which I guess is as good a reason as any to put up the photos I don’t have any room for in the house in there.)

-->And with THAT all done, it was time to finally wrap things up in this playsession! I had Smiler say bye to Brian, then go and feed Toothy the cowplant (sorry to keep you waiting Toothy!) and pop into the basement briefly so I could get a picture of the new photos on the wall, before joining Alice and Victor to watch the end of the movie – interrupted by their house making scary noises. Which I think they all found spookier than the actual film. XD Once they'd all calmed down, Victor ate the ectocake in his inventory (hey, what better time to do so) while Alice used the toilet and had some ice cream to celebrate the holiday (next best thing after candy). Then then headed off to bed while Smiler, of course, was sent to finish off their Servo –

And finish it off they did, right around midnight! :D Delighted, I let them wander off to do their own thing, and they chose to turn the lump of clay that Victor had left on the downstairs bathroom sink into a bust. Which they proceeded to put back on the downstairs bathroom sink. XD I then sent them into the barn as the holiday officially ended for everyone around 2 AM (“Spookfest was awesomes” all around) –

And that was the end of that! Pretty successful day out for the trio, I would say. :) And next update also promises to be an exciting one, as we welcome our new robotic member to the family! And Smiler attempts to throw an appropriate party for the situation...I'll show you how that went in a couple of weeks. :p

Once again, no indication is given for Jing Yuan's arrival before he speaks — his stealth is only getting better and better. That familiar warmth nears Luocha's back, a hand sliding up his spine to rest on his shoulder as Jing Yuan leans into his space, close to his ear. "Were you thinking of me, dear merchant? How kind of you to send a guest my lonely way. I should prepare to honor you and receive them. Do you know what drinks this assassin favors, hm?"

Insufferable as ever, the General manages to escape his notice yet again, however, the merchant refuses to give him the satisfaction of a reaction. Strict, verdant eyes angle to look over his shoulder with a bored expression, his mouth pressing in a thin line at the familiar warmth of a hand crawling up the curve of his spine.

Still, even if both of them knew the truth, it never stopped them from acting out their scripted parts.

"I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, General. Those are some lofty accusations you press against me," Luocha replies with all the calmness of a lotus drifting in a pond, brushing a strand of blond hair behind his ear. Guilty as he was, he sure was not going to show it.

"And if there is an assassin after your head, wouldn't it do you well to be preparing in privacy? Never have I seen a person of your capacity so laissez-faire when it comes to their own well-being."

Annoyance bleeds into his tone as he moves just out of Jing Yuan's reach, maintaining his perfect posture. He even pettily dusts off the shoulder that Jing Yuan's chin had hovered over, looking all the part of a disgruntled spouse holding a grudge against their lover.

So what if he hired a small distraction? He had at least hired an intriguing one. Perhaps so intriguing it would move Jing Yuan's eyes away from him for once.

saw 2 peacock butterflies, a brimstone, a pair of blues, a small white…. Heard nestlings peeping in my neighbours garden, there are little very fast black pond beetles in my pond now! Saw the buzzard circling in a thermal and a bunch of the local corvids gliding in it too, one did a silly little wiggle dive! Playing! It’s good to be outside 👍
