hmm. what’s something we won’t cover in canon- OH. so, he has two older sisters, and  his maternal grandparents had three kids- two girls, and a boy, with the boy being the oldest (koba mom (yuriko) is their youngest child). so koba and his siblings are a mirror reflection of their mom and her siblings. also, her mom has a very dear friend she’s been close with for forever, and is also close with his wife now. koba considers their children to be his cousins- this is why he has some french knowledge, they live in france! has one cousin who he especially likes, a lass a few years older than him.

- How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

i feeeel… like he can feel a bit one note/flat? but.. i think completing his ftes will show a sort of depth to him that comes through in the main game, if you know it’s there. (also some of his feeling flat does come from me boyfailing in the past when it comes to writing. so.)

personality-wise, i think tenya would gravitate toward someone that is intuitive, trustworthy, and kind-hearted. 

someone who isn’t going to tease about the things that hurt him, or question the things he holds nearest to his heart.

someone who would patch him up after a long day, help him with his arm, and hold his face in their hands.

someone who knows when to push, and when to release.

when to prod him with questions, encouraging him to share more, but not arguing and making him feel ashamed for his ambitions.

someone who will be gentle with him, and respect that he is a hero for all the right reasons and does it because he has to

i’m not doing physical appearance because it REALLY bothers me when people hc characters with a certain type.

i think he would have 4-6 kids, to keep it even have a big, strong family

honestly? i’m not really sure that tenya would like cuddling that much at first, but i think he’d do it for his significant other and it would grow on him.

i think he’s use to being up for long periods of time, but if he can relax, i think he’ll take that chance to fall asleep on the couch next to you.

if you’re fighting, he’s wants it to be fixed. he’s not interested in dramatics, or spite, or pettiness.

if he did something wrong, you know he’ll apologize profusely and try his best to give you space, if you need it. if not, he’ll comfort you and reassure you that he didn’t mean it that way, or that he didn’t think before he said it.

if you did something wrong, an apology will help. though sometimes the words hurt more than he’d like to admit, he believes you when you tell him that you’re sorry, and he’s willing to move on from it.  

i don’t think there would ever be a real, blown up fight, because he’s not one to overreact. yes, there will be arguments on whether he’s being taken advantage of by the agency (he is) and he’ll assert that he doesn’t care, because it isn’t about him anyway.

he doesn’t really see the reason for receiving gifts, because he isn’t materialistic in the slightest. he’d rather you give him your all and your love than a tangible gift, but he won’t refuse anything

he’s incredibly honest, but will sometimes downplay his physical pain so that you don’t worry about him

(i hate when people only characterize him in relation to his family and how he has a heightened sense of honor, because that’s only a part of who he is. he’s not honest or heroic just because of his family, he does it because it’s the right thing to do. by making honor his only personality trait, you’re kind of playing into a false stereotype, and i’m not gonna call you what i want to call you, just know that your bad writing in your simplification of the culture as a whole is genuinely annoying to me in that aspect)

KATAOW HC: For the sake of the headcanon we're gonna assume that the apocalypse happened all around the world. Mutes from different regions have either adapted their own cultures, use human culture, or a mix of the two. Imagine other mutes adopting another mutes culture, that would be interesting!!

Yes yes yes yes!!! I’ve thought on mute cultures before and now you’ve given me a perfect place to infodump about it.

I think most, if not all, land mutes have adapted some things from human culture. Clothes they adapted because early on and just went with it. It was practical and available so what the hell, and it kinda stuck throughout the generations.

My favorite head canon I’ve come up with is that early on in the age of mutes they stuck with their natural way of communication (croaks for frogs, howls and barks for wolves, bird calls, etc.) but learned whatever human language was around as a mean to communicate with other mutes. Sure, there are aggression that can be understood regardless of if you’re familiar with a species or not (it doesn’t matter what it is, if it’s snarling it’s likely pissed) but for more complicated scenarios, a common language is needed.

Hell, maybe in the early years there were mutes more closely familiar with humans and that’s why they originally learned it! Point is, when finding a common ground to communicate with other mutes, land mutes used human languages/culture or what was leftover of it to have that common ground because it was readily available to everyone. So while the mutes we’re presented with speak English because that’s a common language in this California-esque location, mutes across the world likely speak other languages.

As for mute culture specifically, things can be sooo different. Not only because they grew up in different human cultures, but different species themselves have their own ways of doing something. The frogs in Las Vistas may be cold and corporate but that’s probably not the case everywhere! Tree frog fathers actually protect their eggs irl, so a mute community of tree frogs would probably be a bit more familal like. So maybe frogs in tropical areas where tree frogs are native are more connected with that famial tie and that’s the norm!

Newton wolves have a stereotypical alpha pack (I headcanon it’s because the wolves who originally settled there came across the old infactual articles that talk about it and went with it/adapted it for their purposes), but Wolf’s parents didn’t have that because they were a family based pack (like how most wolves are) in a house with very human-inspired clothing.

The fitness raccoons are more than enough proof that mutes that find human culture can totally be inspired and embrace it, or find it and despise it like every other pack. And since every human culture would have its own different set of things left behind for mutes to discover, who knows how mutes could take and adapt to it! And that’s sooo cool!!!

So who’s to say what underwater mutes are like? I wrote a whole post on it before (and I’ll maybe dig it up) but because sharks, whales, fish, etc are completely removed from human culture, they would develop without its influence. (Yea there’s garbage and stuff in the ocean but I’m p sure it’d be too degraded to make sense of it AND I doubt underwater mutes started in closer contact with humans like land mutes did so I considered them removed from it) which means it’s likely a completely alien world and should there be a common ground for communication, it might not be spoken! It could be through movements or something!!! And that’s so cool to me!!

This is why I wanna see more of the kataow world both in show and in potential movies, there’s something fasnicating to be learned about how new cultures could develop from the ashes of old ones mixed with new biological needs and wants.

Creativitwins Human AU HCs because I’m a sucker for fluffy sibling relationships

-When they were little Remus couldn’t say Roman’s name so until he was like 4 he only called him Ro Ro. It stuck a little bit, that's what he has him in his contacts as, and he still calls him Ro all the time.

-Every year since they were born they would have matching Halloween costumes.

-They’re the definition of “you can’t hurt my brother, only I can

These two will absolutely tease and yell at the other relentlessly (cause ya know, siblings), but if someone hurts either of them the other one will completely END them

Remus got suspended multiple times throughout middle school for getting into fights with anyone who made fun of Roman after he came out

Roman would verbally stand up for his brother but was never really one to get into fights, but one day in their sophomore year he overheard some kids saying terrible things about Remus-making fun of him for wearing makeup and nail polish, calling him slurs, ect. That made him completely S N A P, and he took on the whole group by himself, even breaking one kids nose. He ended up with a longer suspension than even Remus had ever gotten.

-Both of them have been in local and school theatre productions since elementary school. At first their parents were worried that auditions would cause fights over who got what role, but they quickly found out that they each seemed to have their own favorite character types to play. Roman loves being the protagonist heroes, no matter what. Remus on the other hand either goes for a villain role, absolutely chaotic side character, or comedic relief.

-Speaking of theatre, one of the best “productions” they were ever in was Romeo and Juliet their junior year. It wasn’t even an actual play, it was just a class assignment for their drama class but they had so much fun with it.

Roman, of course, was assigned the part of Romeo, and Remus got Mercutio

Their teacher chose the roles they thought would best fit them but WOW they did not expect them to be THAT GOOD with them. Roman was literally the stereotypical image of Romeo that everyone pictures. And Remus completely blew their teacher away with his version of the Queen Mab speech. 

The only issue they had was during Mercutio’s death scene. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the class tried to run through it the two of them would burst out laughing as Remus had to make an old Shakespearing pun while pretending to die. Just when they thought they had it down and Remus was about to die they’d make eye contact for just a second too long and loose it.  It took them a week to be able to get through it with a straight face.

-When they got their driver's licences they both agreed to buy a car together so they could split the cost in half. Everyone thought they were going to drive each other crazy sharing a car, but somehow they managed to get through high school like that, just because they didn’t each want to pay for individual cars.

They literally split the car in half, with each of them customizing their side with paint and window decorations.

It stood out so much that every kid at school knew their car when they saw it.

They spent forever planning out and painting their senior parking spot. They eventually decided to go with a Disney mural and it was definitely the best looking one in their class.

Carpooling with these two is absolute hell. They have at least a 20 hour long playlist of their favorite songs, well over half of them being showtunes, and they will belt all of them out each and every time. 

-Their best classes were Englsih and any art-oriented classes, they were decent in history, and even about average in science classes, but whhooooo boy these bois can’t do math to save their lives.

Their only saving grace is that Roman can almost sort of kind of do geometry sometimes and Remus is just the tiniest smidge better at algebra

Because of this they specifically coordinated their schedules so freshmen year Roman would take geometry and Remus would take algebra I. Then the next year they would take the other class and help the other since they had each taken their better class the year before and saved their notes.

A few times they just full on switched places with the other on test day. That entire year Remus held back on dying his hair at all just for that reason.

They ended up pulling through with a C- for both of them. Honestly they were just surprised they didn’t completely fail.

Oh non-nb people are allowed to make nb headcanons? I am a bit afraid cuz i thought that non-trans people are not allowed to make trans HCs, cuz that looks like making them fetish material. I dont know if others think that way but i am usually only HCing the 'save' people like you listed as nb cuz i am scarred that people jump at me and accuse me of bering a duche or call me canceled if i HC a regular normal human as nb.

you’re allowed to have trans headcanons, binary or otherwise, as long as you’re respectful and stay away from stereotypes. if you only headcanon feminine boys or masculine girls or inherently ungendered objects as trans it abides by transphobic stereotypes. if you constantly gush about how cute or hot all the characters you headcanon as trans are it becomes fetishistic and uncomfortable. if you headcanon evil or predatory characters as trans its transphobic for falling in line with stereotypes. if you headcanon them as trans so your otp can be more/less gay or so they can have a baby its fetishistic and transphobic. if you headcanon them as trans for porn its fetishistic. if you use terms like f*ta and tr*p while talking about them its transphobic and fetishistic. if you headcanon canonical cis men as trans women and canonica cis women as trans men it’s transphobic.

just be respectful... it may raise an eyebrow if cis people headcanon characters as trans, not because youre not allowed to but because trans people are just cautious of what this means exactly, for the reasons i said above. but if youre being respectful about it and not screaming “LOOK AT MY TRANS BABY BOY UWU HES SO SOFT” or “THIS BIG BUFF TRANS WOMEN CRUSH MY SKULL AND ID THANK HER” 

i think the reason it may be suspicious is just because cis people dont really need that representation for themselves, so the reasons they may wanna see it could be fetishistic or transphobic. BUT it could also just mean theyre standing with trans people and also want them to have the representation they deserve. so like i keep saying, be respectful and you should be fine. just listen to trans people’s voice and opinions of the headcanon and stay in your lane about it, be casual and don’t overdo it. your support is appreciated but there is such a thing as too much so keep that in mind

and as far as headcanoning “safe” characters as nonbinary, as in robots or aliens (ex. BMO from AT), that’s fine on it’s own but thats established itself as a transphobic stereotype (unless it’s accompanied by human characters too). non-binary people are NOT non-human, we are humans and we exist! our humanity will not be stripped away just because we don’t fit a certain mold! please feel free to headcanon more normal humans as nonbinary, make more nonbinary characters that are just average people! they dont even have to be androgynous!!!

Mbti death note headcanons???

Ha, you’re not the first, or even second, person to ask me this. I’ll be honest though; I don’t particularly like the MBTI. It’s flawed, and the only reason I think about typing some characters from time to time is because it’s still kinda fun. You can definitely sort most people into introverted or extroverted but everything else is way more tricky and not even worth your time. 

I definitely won’t go into all the individual functions (Fe, Ti, Ne, etc), though, because you can pretty much just pick a scene for a character and make a case for every type that way. Honestly, I’ve seen people arguing about Hannibal Lecter that way & if he’s INTJ or ENFJ, and that’s when I fully realised how ridiculous MBTI is.

Anyway, I still have some thoughts:

Light: INTJ

I definitely see him as introverted. Being charming and confident alone doesn’t make someone extroverted, and we see Light enjoying solitude very much, he even seems to avoid seeing people, and his interest in them in general seems more practical. I don’t see at all how Light “energises” in a social way. Pretty much the only other type that would fit Light fairly well is, in my opinion, INFJ. I just think “Feeling” is often too much about empathy

L: INTP

He and Light are pretty similar here. They both don’t seem to crave any kind of intimacy, what energises them is mostly the very ego-driven goal of “winning”, & also thinking and scheming. L seems to have fun teasing people but, like Light, he doesn’t seek company, and he keeps everything he thinks and feels very private. Both are also very intuitive thinkers with some empathy issues, so what separates them here, is that L is a bit more messy, spontaneous, and he usually reacts a bit more “cool” to surprises, while Light needs a moments to compose himself. Honestly, their interactions are quite stereotypical INTJ vs INTP

Near: INTJ

He’s also a very private and reserved person. Although he seems more open about his feelings than Light and L, he would be a classic INTx too. “Judging” because he’s also very careful, sometimes even a bit passive, and, imo, a bit more like Light than L when it comes to planning ahead.

Mello: ENTP

You could make a case for a lot of different MBTI types for Mello, but this one feels the most “right” to me. I’m mostly convinced that he’s P and probably T, but anything else? *shrug* His carelessness seems a bit more N than S as well but well, Mello is a good example for while typing people/characters that way is kind of pointless

Misa: ENFP

Yeah, I think this one is pretty straightforward: social and energetic around other people, intuitive (and she’s prone to miss some important details), she’s mostly ruled by her feelings, even though she can be quite cold, and she’s the spontaneous type.

Soichiro: ISTJ

Probably with a strong F?

Mikami: ISTJ

I can also see him as INTJ, because while his entire lifestyle scream ISTJ, he’s, intellectually, very close to Light’s and Near’s ways of thinking and planning.

Ryuk: ENTP

I guess

Matsuda: ESFP

He occasionally has some self-esteem issues but that doesn’t make him introverted. He’s obviously very social, interested in other people’s affairs, and the way he seeks approval seems more extroverted to me as well.

Naomi: ISFJ

Mainly a gut feeling

Kiyomi: ENFJ

Same as the above. It’s hard to say because she’s written inconsistently; she sometimes seems a bit more introverted or even more like the Sensing type

Higuchi: ESTP

Being kind of a dumbass doesn’t make someone the Feeling type, obviously

it basically tell the story of katsuki and izuku’s complicated relationship stemming from their childhood that had inadvertently created a psuedo bond b/t them (half bond that hasn’t settle in bc katsuki refuse to let it) bc katsuki is extremely wary of the idea of mates and omegas and basically the entire fucked up alpha-omega concept overall lol bc for katsuki only dumbass believe that omega aren’t the one with the true power in the relationship and being with izuku make him feel so helpless and unfettered and HE CAN’T HAVE THAT :P. but even tho he keep pulling away from izuku, he can’t help being drawn to izuku bc there’s something greater and deeper than just some baser instinct. 

i really enjoy exploring the power and social dynamic in abo esp bc my own personal hc than every omega is a helen of troy of the world and more than one war have started over an omega :PPPPPPPPPP. 

also i guess this is a bad time to mention i have been carrying a bunch of bkdk abo in my head: 

the one where the all first quirk users were all omegas and every children they have afterward have a quirk and are all unusually powerful. fast forward to current timeline where omega are now rare and treasure prize bc of their breeding potential so there are a lot of battle for the rights to mate with an omega. izuku being an omega was betrothed to katsuki at birth and katsuki had spent most of their childhood fighting off potential suitors for izuku’s hand but later turn out izuku is quirkless therefore he lost his potential/use and their engagement was cancelled. than OFA happens to izuku and izuku attend u.a. to become a hero too but this time he got a powerful quirk to back it up and reminds everyone why the first quirk user were only omegas in the first place and they aren’t just broad mare \o/. now katsuki got to fight off an army to claim izuku’s hand once more, not knowing it always been katsuki in the end.  

(not so much as bkdk but tkdkbk) everyone always know that izuku was going to be an omega and ppl expect that katsuki and izuku to bond in the future bc ofc katsuki is an alpha right??? nope turn out he’s just a boring beta and beta can’t bond with omega due to social stigma and view on alpha-omega bond as the most true and pure bond. KATSUKI IS SO ANGRY AT THIS THAT HE DESPITE BEING A BETA HE BIT AND CLAIMED IZUKU ANYWAY. shouto pops up later as an alpha who is interested in the fucked up relationship b/t izuku and katsuki and eventually they form a triad :P. 

the one where they are both omegas and omega can be pair off with any alpha and beta but any same sex pair that isn’t beta/beta are consider taboo (like alpha-alpha). katsuki wonder why he has never show any interest in any alpha let alone a beta but his teeth throbs with the urge to bite izuku as his own. 

the one where omega sit a top of the social hierarchy and alpha are actually the one persecuted bc alphas are just mindless knothead w/ no common sense and too many countries led to ruin by their hand so it’s better to be left to the hand of omegas who can rule with more sense and they can reign in the unruly alphas. this is actually one of my fav version of abo to flip the social role around so izuku is an omega from the royal house and it is expected of him to have many heat partners through is puberty till they can marry him off to a good beta in some other kingdom but izuku doesn’t want to leave his home and has taken a keen interest in the alpha butler/guardian katsuki who has been serving their house for ages and only want katsuki despite their diff in social status. or, really, how izuku is an ambitious omega that wants everything and all including katsuki and how katsuki bring down an entire regime as much to get rid of the suffocating alpha persecution but also bc izuku wanted it lol. it’s basically master/servant au with a political intrude and kingmaker trope thrown around :P. 

set in canon ‘verse and with izuku an alpha who doesn’t fit in the stereotypical alpha box. he’s neither aggressive, territorial, or a stupid knothead rule by his nose and omega katsuki has been circling around izuku since they were children bc other kids often pick on izuku for being so pathetically weak esp a quirkless alpha. alpha is suppose to dominate and be in control but izuku have always felt like he was made wrong bc all he want do is fall to his knees and bare his neck out for katsuki and let katsuki takes control of him. and katsuki is ALSO a stereotypical omega who acts more like an alpha than anything and he gets intense joy bringing alpha to their knees but mostly he wants izuku underneath him and only him. it’s like both of them are stuck in society that tell them how the should be but they said fuck it lol and rather do the opposite bc in every version of them in any universe izuku knows he belong to katsuki.

Then, my mind went back to one of your Silena asks. Especially, how people said that she could've betrayed the camp because her cabin was being disrespected. However, the disrespect wasn't more than obnoxious most of times, IMO. And that's talking about the rest of the campers. Like, let's take the flag game. There's no bullshit...

Besides, Silena and her siblings seem to have quite an easy time shutting down those people. It’s not like she felt hopeless(except when Beckendorf died, but that’s not the issue here). Unlike the cabin 11,where they put the “undesirable kids”,and people didn’t trust them.

i mean i’m glad that rick moved away from that in hoo, in that aphrodite talks abt her origins and how her son was the one who founded the Great Roman Empire™ or whatever

but he still fell into other stereotypes regarding aphrodite’s children still, so it’s not that much of an accomplishment. and the only reason he detailed aphrodite’s origins is in order to further piper’s character arc (and foil her more with one-dimensional drew) so… not to mention, the rest of her cabin remains p stereotypically aphrodite-like

but anyway, i agree. it’s more obnoxious than anything. hc that they knew what thier mom was abt, so it really didn’t matter what others thought of them, bc the only opinions that mattered were their own. they knew they were powerful in their own right, and if the camp didn’t want them to participate in capture the flag bc they’re always being misunderstood, then fuck ‘em.

i think esp when it comes to love��bc love is so much more than just romantic or sexual. there’s so much to be said abt the many facets of love, and some love between two ppl we don’t even have a name for, but it’s so profound and beautiful

like where’s that aphrodite, huh? love and beauty, love is beauty. beauty simultaneously spending hrs on your makeup, hair, and clothes and not giving a single shit. love being someone who loves you regardless of whether you’re the former or latter person.

and then the badass aspects, like stated above

so yeah, i think the fact that chb put undetermined kids into the hermes cabin spoke to how not only other demigods, but also how the gods, feel abt hermes as a god and while i kinda feel bad for hermes, talking abt just how shitty he was as a father makes me feel way less bad so

now i think some could make the argument that bc hermes is the patron god of travelers, it “made sense” i guess that they’d throw the undetermined kids in his cabin, bc they’re…traveling i guess??? but that argument is flimsy at best. chb is supposed to be their home (or home away from home if they only go during the summer), so they’re not traveling. they’ve found out their demigods, they could at least get some recognition of who their godly parent actually is

his powers are really, so very subtle, so it’s difficult to see how powerful he could truly be without the right context. part of me feels it’s almost by design, bc a lot of his powers can be used for illegal activity, and you don’t really want to be noticed. maybe by other criminals, and by an alias, but certainly not by your true name and the cops, ya know???

but it still communicates how everyone thinks of hermes, whether or not it’s on purpose. we’ve had not indication that hermes really cares abt that, but we’ve also not interacted with hermes a whole lot in the series, except for when we’re talking abt luke so

i think some of his skills are lost in other gods, too. take for example athena who is, as we all know, the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy. her children are intelligent, good at planning, and battle. hermes invented the internet. do you know what kind of genius it takes to do that? but it’s masked, covered up bc athena is the patron goddess of wisdom, of things like genius and intelligence.

hermes is a v “jack of all trades” kind of god, so gods who are more powerful in certain aspects that he can manifest in his children–charisma (apollo), cunning (athena)–are obscured by the more specialized god or goddess.

and while being the master of one or two things is beneficial, there are also benefits to being a jack of all trades, esp in the right context. they could become chameleons–fitting in where they need to be, and getting out before the going gets too rough, or they’re asked to do something beyond their skill set. which, again, usually lends itself to more…shall we say less legal activity

now that’s not always the case of course. those skills can be applied in more legal settings. but i’ve been watching a lot of spy/crime/espionage shows since i was like 10, so i like that kind of stuff. i’ve also been binging person of interest on netflix, so that’s on the brain as well. it probs doesn’t help that hermes is also known as the god of thieves so

ya know. i think she’s lying to herself about how much she likes kids. i don’t think she’s inclined to them but playing babysitter all the time has made her p child adverse. however admitting this means realizing she can’t gain “i am a normal respectable non-offending person who no one has any reason to have any issue with” points by raising 2.5 kids. so. yeah she just chooses to keep lying to herself

- How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

tbh i think i do a bad job portraying her comphet? buuut. to take a step back and think neutrally about things, i think that’s predominantly a result of, again, the role she plays in the story, and the fact we’re not in her head. we can judge how well i write her comphet when we get to pick her brain a bit more in ftes. id rather have a more subtle, more accurate depiction, then one that’s made inaccurate with how in your face “wow my bestie is so pretty if only girls who liked girls were real…” it is. (<- not that portrayals like that are bad/wrong, it’s abt enjoying yourself while not feeding into negative stereotypes! i just don’t really want to depict her comphet in that more lighthearted manner).

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

again. this is prolly just gonna be stuff which didn’t happen in canon but could’ve if things were different? w/mekaru i think if she studied psychology more and like. Dedicated herself to it she could easily rise to shsl psychiatrist level. this is canon but i think that she’s specifically interested in medicine when it comes to treatment of the human condition. she likes and grasps it all, but the history of assorted pills is where she Shines

- My number one favorite ship for them

(obligatory: okada aimi is mekarus bestie! she’ssss. sapphic, i don’t have anything more specific/anything otherwise canon for her. she likes mekaru and thinks mekaru likes her back (she’s right), buuut. she hasn’t confessed because she thinks she’ll be rejected (she’s right, again.) she’s trying to gently tug mekaru into having a Revelation but it hasn’t been going v well for her.

i used to say that like. tomori was probably her gateway into her moment of Realization. i can still see that being true but i think it was less genuine desire to date and moreso.  mekaru projecting what she feels she needs to be onto tomori then seeing tomori being queer and going. hmmm. anyways tho. i kinda like her w/kurokawa but i think kurokawas just v shippable? poor okada tho i think she’d would be crying and throwing up if she found out mekaru dated a girl from hpa before dating her.

now we start the fun game of how do i chat about my kids without spoiling things… ya know. okay. i think his paternal grandparents are actually p chill they’re just not even remotely involved bc they live vv far away. they’re a bit upset with tatsunori for never updating them. higa used to send them tickets to all his Big games but then he overheard them joking with tatsunori about how they were always traveling home just to travel back out again. so. he doesn’t send them tickets as often now

- How i feel about their canonical writing/handling

i think in a lot of early posts i wasn’t confident enough in my writing to make higa more of… a actual Issue? he was kinda just a dick who got shut down quick by everyone. so i need to go back and fix that. need to show his actions are like. Very Bad, and he def faces consequences.

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

uhh. well. u see. im kinda writing beta so. the only thing i can really think of is like… making canon “if (x) had happened to higa instead of (y), then he would’ve turned out like (z)”, since i can’t reallyyy… get into backstory changes like that? 

- My number one favorite ship for them

i think non despair red pill is fun!! (specify non despair because the kg isn’t really the best time for higas personal growth, which is smthn red pill kinda hinges on)- SORRY PEOPLE WHO ARENT IN THE SERVER? i don’t remember if this joke has breached contamination or not. red pill is yamaguchi/higa. 

especially in non despair (since side stepping away from others isn’t really a option in the game + kinda makes people feel homicidal), they both wind up kinda isolated/on the fringes of group interactions because they’re not just. abrasive but they say shit that actually feeds into negative stereotypes. so people r a bit. steps away from them. so should they both get the chance to grow and change they can bond over how hard it is to try and integrate into a group u were excluded from because of like. ur own decisions hurting people in the group.

higa keeps hate criming people it’s kinda. hard to ship him with people. that being said i think it’s silly to say he has a bit of a crush on maeda. cuz i promise u all maeda, at best, is 😐 at higa. i don’t ship them together but i think the idea of higa having a crush on maeda is funny. it’s definitely not canon tho i don’t write beta with that in mind

see above. god damn it higa. (not that u can’t hurt people and genuinely change and grow. but like. yeah i think a lot of those ships have kinda sunk).

hmmmmm…. i’d honestly like to talk more about kobas feelings on higa? specifically within the context of the game where it’s like. obviously koba doesn’t want higa to FUCKING DIE but while he understands the situation and knows if he felt uncomfortable or unsafe, he could say so and higa would get booted out. i think he’s just not very happy with the fact that they have to tip toe around higas general evil-ness so that he doesnt go off the rails and like. try to work with monokuma. he’s choosing so much mercy and so much emotional maturity. and that’s what sucks about being confined to one pov character!!!

- thoughts on their design (appearance-wise)

maybe if i stopped giving higa fits that are so easy to clown on, he’d leave his villain era. hm. anyways!! lol sweater vest lol. i do genuinely like his design (been gently working on kobas fit recently and giving them more distinctive color palettes, so that’s fun), buuut yeah! tbh i don’t see it changing i don’t know where i’d go from here. i think it works v well ! :D

- A music-related thought- a song that reminds me of them, or what their music taste is, etc

had to Hunt to find one. but animal - sir chloe makes me think like. a song higa would listen to, then close out of halfway through and never listen to it again but be haunted by the Thoughts it made him Think. im not good at interpreting songs the way they’re meant to be interpreted. :(. sorry to everyone behind sir chloe.
