You kill baby … you always KILL BABY HOW DARE YOU
You cannot tell me you haven't at least considered the possibility before, c'mon! There's no rules saying I can't kill Cassie!!!
#BABY MUST DIE#for angst's sake#there's a tiny voice in my head saying that people who write angst by killing characters can't tell a story without killing#but CONSIDER#there were two alternate endings to that one-shot#one included Evan's spirit reappearing and fighting off the Mimic#releasing Greg and Ness#and one where Cassie's father comes to save her#but they both end up dying instead#so really#this is just a compromise#I can always make it worse#cloud speaks#thanks for the ask!

Danny adopts himself
It's a common joke in Gotham that Bruce Wayne will adopt any black-haired and blue-eyed traumatized boy he finds. So much so that even he leans into it. But he was completely shocked when Damian confronts him about having a new brother that he did not want.
Bruce could barely get a word in when the rest of the family arrived upset that they weren't told about getting another sibling after Damian texted the family group chat (for once).
Damian had encountered a boy around Drake's age moving stuff into what was an empty room. The room was now furnished top to bottom with glowing green lights, tapestries of stars, random artifacts, several telescopes, and model rockets.
He knew the moment he saw the black hair and blue eyes that his father had taken in another ward.
Apparently Bruce was the last the know about his new "son" who was currently rearranging furniture and asking to help Alfred with dinner.
Said dinner was an uncomfortable as Bruce was grilled by his kids on his addiction to adoption. Simultaneously they tried to get to know the new addition to the family.
It was easy to see that Damian didn't like Danny but it was equally easy to see that Danny could cow the boy like a border collie on a lamb. When Damian thew a dagger the teen caught it with one hand as it passed his face and then slid it across the table back to Damian.
"Try again. " Danny said "And this time don't aim to miss on purpose. If you want me dead you need to do better."
Damian put the knife away and huffed.
Tim and Danny hit it off almost instantly. The way they were able to bounce their thoughts back and forth made Tim believe that he found an equal.
Danny was able to understand Cassie immediately with just look in eachothers eyes like he was reading her mind but not in a creepy way.
Jason of course noticed the strange energy in the air around the kid. It was soothing. Like lavender wafting in the air. Well lavender for everyone else for him it was like opium. His eyes felt heavy like he had eaten a handful of poppy seeds. At the same time he felt full, like he had eating a full meal after starving for a week.
Whatever it is Damian was feeling it too. The demon looked even more his age as he rubbed his eyes and yawned. The crease in his brow gone.
Duke on the other hand was more on edge as his eyes flickered towards Danny before looking away. He had something he wanted to ask about the glowing boy but since no one can see it or just isn't saying anything he will keep quiet for now.
Next was Barbara who teased the new kid.
"So how do you like your new family? Ready to be the new robin?" She asked.
"Im robin." Damian mumbled groggily.
The others were waiting for Damian to finally fall asleep and glared at one another in a challenge to be the one to pick up Damian and put him to bed. Dick was winning.
Speaking of Dick, as expected he was off the wall excited to learn more about his new little brother. He wanted the full story as to why Bruce took him in. He could almost certainly guess it was because of a tragic situation and Dick was already ready to handle it as the greatest big brother ever and he wasn't sharing the title no matter what Barbara said. Even if she was Stephanie's favorite.
Bruce cleared his throat and the table went silent. "So, Danny. Where exactly did you come from? Why are you here? And how did you know who I am?"
Everyone went white. Did they all just risk their identities believing that Danny was a new Robin? Why didn't Bruce say something? Not even a signal for the protocol they would use.
Danny frowned looking a bit hurt.
"What do you mean, Bruce? You said you owed me. You said you'd give me anything I wanted if saved your son. I even helped you get back home when you got lost in time." Danny huffed feeling betrayed.
The table went silent.
Bruce made a few calculations in his brain before something must have come to mind. "I lost my memory for a bit so I need a bit of proof."
Danny placed a batarang on the table. The batarang had an engraving on it in a code that only Bruce knew.
"You told me to show this to Alfred when I came. We had a deal, Bruce. You promised me whatever I wanted." Danny huffed clearly insulted.
Just like Danny had said the code was the one Bruce had made. However this code wasn't a promise to grant a favor but to welcome someone new to the family. Past Bruce must have had plans to take the boy in but told Danny something else to lure him here.
Bruce recognized that everyone was right and he has a problem now that he's looking at it like this.

Know When To Let Go Part 1
Pairing- Dean, x Female!Reader.
Word count- 3,889
Warnings- A lot of ANGST, Dean is a bit of jerk, fighting,
Summary- You almost lost Dean to a heart attack, now after one phone call there is another threat from the past that could come between you two.
A/N-I know this isn't one of my ongoing series, but this has been in my drafts for years. The first 2 parts are a rewrite of the Route 66 episode. I'm trying to get back into writing, I promise. It's been so long since I've posted, I'm not even sure what to use for a taglist so I'm going off the last Forever tag list. If you would like to be removed let me know. Not Beta'd, all mistakes are mine
Sitting in the back of Baby, you think back on this last week, it was one of the worst of your life. During the last hunt Dean had been electrocuted which led to him having a heart attack. Doctors didn’t give him much time, you and Sam worked like crazy looking for some way to save him. Finally, Sam found a faith healer, which turned into another case on its own. Now, Dean was in the motel room saying goodbye to the chick he met on this job. Sam was kind enough to bring her back to talk to Dean. No, you weren’t jealous at all, but does he seriously have to meet a girl in every town you stop in?
Your parents had been hunters and would drop you off at Bobby’s, which is where you met Sam and Dean as kids. Dean was a year older, and had taken you under his wing. When you were twelve, your parents never made it back from a hunt. You lived with Bobby until you turned 18, then you started hunting with the Winchester instead of researching at Bobby’s. Sam was like a little brother to you, even if he shot up taller than all of you. Dean was your best friend and as you grew up, he was the man who stole your heart. You never saw him sharing those feelings so you kept them bottled up. This left you standing by and watching, the constant hookups and flirting breaking your heart a little more each time. Sam has known since you were kids there was something between you and Dean, and often pushes you to tell his brother. You could never bring yourself to do it, and in turn, lose Dean altogether.
You were there for Dean through everything, the rough hunts, Sam leaving for Stanford, fights with his dad, then John disappearing a few months ago which led to picking up Sam who then lost Jess. You couldn’t imagine what losing Dean last week would have done to you. When he was in the hospital, you came close to telling him how you felt when he was holding you next to him in the tiny hospital bed. The two of you had gotten fairly close over the last case, but once again someone else had caught his eye.
The three of you stop at a gas station when Dean gets a phone call and walks off. Sam is standing next to the car looking over a map to plan your route to Pennsylvania, where your next case is. Dean starts heading back to the car putting his phone away.
“I think I found a way we can bypass that construction just east of here. We might even make Pennsylvania faster than we thought,” Sam calls out.
Dean looks out over the car before turning to the two of you, “Problem is, we’re not going to Pennsylvania”
You and Sam look at each other before looking at Dean. “Where are we going then?” You ask.
“I got a call from an, uh, old friend. Her father was killed last night, thinks it might be our kind of thing.”
“What? Who’s the friend?” Sam wanted to know.
“Listen, trust me on this, she never woulda called, never, if she didn’t need us.”
There is a sinking feeling in your stomach, “who is the friend Dean?” He just ignores you and hops in the car.
As you were driving Sam again tries to get Dean to tell him who the old friend is. You are headed to Mississippi, which gives you a pretty good idea of who this friend is and you are livid.
Dean finally says the name you are dreading, Cassie. You had been traveling with Dean when he met her in Ohio, and they had gone out for a few weeks. You didn’t like her then and you really didn’t like her the night Dean came back to the hotel drunk and heartbroken because she ended things. She was a stuck up snob, she absolutely crushed Dean.
“She actually had the nerve to call you and ask for help?” you exclaim. Unfeaking believable, and apparently Dean is still pretending he can’t hear you.
“You never mentioned her before,” Sam is telling Dean.
“Really?” When Sam just looks at him Dean continues, “ Yeah, we went out.”
“Like more than one night? You actually dated somebody?”
“What are you not getting here? Dad, Y/N, and I were working a job in Ohio, she was in college.
We went out for a couple of weeks.”
“What happened between you guys?”
“Drop it Sam,” you really didn’t want to dig up this part of the past.
“Was there more going on?” The dense man kept pushing.
“Yeah, they went out. She was a bitch, they broke up, it broke his heart, and I had to fix her mess.”
“Knock it off, Y/N. That was years ago, and in the past.” Now he acknowledges you, just to defend her. He couldn’t still have feelings for her could he?
“Okay. So I’m sorry about her dad, but why would she call you if he was in a car accident? Not really our kinda thing?” It took Sam a minute, “wait, does she know what we do?” Dean didn’t answer staring ahead. “Dude, you didn’t?”
“He actually told the bitch what we really do, Sam.”
“Watch it Y/N.” Dean gives you a glare through the rearview mirror, and you give one right back.
Sam looks at you curiously. You aren’t usually one for hate unless they deserve it.
“Wait. You told her. You told her our secret! Our big family number one rule, we do what we do and we shut up about it. I never said a word about it to Jess for over a year and a half, instead I lied to her. But you tell some girl you only knew a few weeks, everything.” Dean still didn’t answer, just looking straight ahead. “Dean!”
“Yeah, looks like.” He just pushed down on the accelerator ignoring Sam’s bitchface.
“Witch, didn’t deserve to know anything,” you muttered under your breath. Judging by the glare Dean sends back he still heard you.
There isn’t much talking between any of you after that. You arrive in town and Dean parks near the newspaper building and quickly exits the car. Guess she told him where she works.
Walking inside you see three people arguing and unfortunately recognize one of them as Cassie. One of the men leaves and the other walks away when Cassie turns to face the three of you, giving Dean a grin and calling out his name. Dean gives her a small grin. Why is she so happy? She's the one who dumped him. Oh she just made you fuming mad.
“Hey Cassie.” She doesn’t say anything and they just stare at each other before Dean continues. “This is my brother Sam, and you remember Y/N.”
You would be pretty shocked if she didn’t remember you. After calming Dean down and he finally passed out that night, you went to her apartment and bitched her out. Which is probably why she smiled at Sam and ignored you.
“I’m sorry bout your dad,” Dean started.
“Yeah, Me too,” she answers.
Well, she does talk. This staring is driving you nuts. “You called Cassie, apparently you think you need our help.”
“I didn’t know you would still be around.” She quickly glances at you before going back to Dean, “Maybe we should go somewhere else.”
“Well, I don’t desert the people I care about.”
Dean glares at you as everyone leaves the building and walks back to the Impala to follow her to her mother’s house. When she gets in her car Dean grabs your arm stopping you. “That’s enough out of you! You don’t have to be such a bitch, you know.”
He climbs behind the wheel of Baby, and you roll your eyes before sliding in yourself.
Cassie brings out tea when you arrive, she settles down close to Dean. She tells you all how her mother has been in bad shape, so she was staying at the house with her. She has been very nervous lately and worried about her husband. When Dean asks why, Cassie mentions her dad had been scared and seeing things, like an awful-looking black truck following him. Sam interrupts to ask who the driver was, but apparently her dad never mentioned one. The truck was always appearing and disappearing. Her father’s car had been dented in the accident, and it looks like something big.
You’ve been watching Dean, and have to hide a laugh when he is giving his tea a weird look before quickly putting it aside on the table. You turn your attention back to what Cassie is saying. The sooner you solve this, the sooner you can leave this town.
“Dad sold cars, and was always driving a new one. There wasn’t a scratch on it before the accident. It was raining hard that night, and mud was everywhere. There was one distinct set of muddy tracks which led from dad’s car to the edge where he went over.” She paused trying to gain control of her emotions, “only his tracks.”
“The first accident, he was a friend of your father’s?” Dean asks her.
“Yes, Clayton Soames, they were best friends, and owned the dealership together. Same thing, a dent, no tracks, and the cops said he lost control too.”
Dean wants to know if she has any thoughts on why the two men would have been targets, but she doesn’t. Then Sam asks her if she thought it was the vanishing truck her dad saw.
“When you say it out loud like that, listen, I’m a bit skeptical about this… ghost stuff… or whatever it is you guys do.”
“Skeptical? If I remember right you said I was nuts.”
“If you don’t believe it, why did you bother calling Cassie?” You cut in after Dean. Getting another glare from the man.
“That was back then, I just can’t explain what happened so I called you.” Her and Dean are back to staring at each other, I just might be sick you think.
“Excuse us a second,” Dean gets up and grabs your arm, pulling you out of your seat across from him and to the corner of the room. “If you aren’t actually going to be any help you can leave, and go wait in the car.”
Before you can reply, Cassie’s mom walks in and she gets up to talk to her. Dean walks away leaving you standing alone. She introduces Dean as a friend from college and Sam as his sibling, you get nothing. Sam sees you hurry outside trying to hide the tears in your eyes, he knows Dean’s behavior has to be getting to you. Excusing himself he follows you outside.
“Sam, you are always telling me I need to be honest with Dean about my feelings. This is why I can’t, he’ll choose some chick who hurt him over me, the person who has been there for him for over 15 years.” Dean comes out and you turn away from him quickly.
“I don’t understand what your problem is, but that was unnecessary,” he snaps at you.
The three of you head back to the motel shortly. It is a quiet ride back, you and Dean aren’t speaking to one another, and Sam doesn’t want to get either of you going. Usually, you share a bed with Dean, but that isn’t going to happen tonight. At least the room has a couch, as bad as it looks it is still better than the floor.
Early the next morning Dean’s phone rang waking you up from the little sleep you had gotten. It’s Cassie, apparently someone else died during the night, same way as the others. Dean is hurrying both you and Sam to get ready and out the door. When you arrive at the scene Cassie is talking to one of the men from yesterday. Dean is quick to walk over, you and Sam following behind.
“Did the cops check for additional denting on Jimmy’s car, see if it was pushed?”
The man looked at Dean then back to Cassie, “Who is this?”
“Dean and Sam Winchester, and… his friend Y/N, they’re family friends. This is Mayor Harold Todd.”
“There is one set of tracks, just one. Nothing points to foul play here.”
“Mayor, the police, officials, everyone is taking their cues from you, if you are indifferent about this then..”
“Indifferent!” He interrupts her
“Mayor, would you close the road if the victims were white?”
“Are you suggesting I’m racist Cassie, I’m the last person you should talk to like that.”
When Cassie tries to find out why, he just tells her to ask her mother and walks away.
From there Dean drives you all back to the motel room to change into fed clothes. While in the bathroom getting ready you can hear the boys talking, well Sam at least trying to get information from Dean about Cassie
.
“I’ll say this for her, she’s fearless,” Sam starts, Dean just humming. “I bet she kicked your ass a few times. It’s interesting you guys never look at each other at the same time. You look when she isn’t and she checks you out when you aren’t. It’s an interesting observation you know, in an observationally interesting way.”
Just shut-up about her Sam, you think to yourself. “You think we might have more pressing issues here?” Dean finally responds.
“Hey, if I’m hitting a nerve.”
“Y/N, hurry up we’re leaving, let’s go,” Dean yells for you.
You leave for the docks to talk to a few guys who are friends of the victims, Cassie has mentioned they would be there having lunch.
“Excuse me. Are you Ron Stubbins?” You asked, reaching the two men first. When he nods, Dean takes over talking.
“You were friends with Jimmy Anderson?”
“Who wants to know?” Ron counters.
“We’re with Mr. Anderson’s insurance company, got to dot the I’s and cross some T’s.”
“We were just wondering if the deceased had mentioned any unusual experiences recently?” Sam cut in.
The men are looking at the three of you funny so you step in, “Well visions, hallucinations. It’s part of a medical examination kind of thing. This is all standard.”
“It takes three of you to come down? What company did you say you were with?”
“I’m new, these guys are training me.”
“All National Mutual,” Dean cut in. “Can you tell me, did he ever mention seeing a truck? A big black truck?”
“What the hell are you all talking about? You even speaking English?” Ron asks.
“Son this truck, is it a big scary monster looking thing?” The man with Ron cut in.
“Yeah, actually, I think so.” Dean answers him. The man just nods. “What about it?”
“I’ve heard of a truck like that,” he finally answers..
That gets Sam’s attention, “You have, Where?”
“Not a where, but a when, son. Back in the ‘60’s there was a string of deaths. Black men. Story goes they disappeared in a big, nasty, black truck.”
“Did they ever catch the guy?” Dean wants to know.
“No, never found him. Hell, not sure if they even really looked. See there was a time, this town wasn’t too friendly to all its citizens.”
“Thank you for your time,” you tell the men as the three of you turn to walk back to the Impala.
The guys start talking while you follow behind.
“This truck,” Dean starts.
“Keeps coming up doesn't it?” Sam fills in.
“You know, I was thinking. You heard of the flying dutchman?” Dean asks his brother.
“That ghost ship? It was infused with the captain’s evil spirit, and basically part of him.”
“What if this is like the same thing here? You know, a phantom truck, an extension of some bastard’s ghost, that is re-enacting past crimes?”
“Could be, the victims have all been black men.”
“It’s more than that, everything seems to be connected to Cassie and her family.”
“It’s all, all about Cassie,” you mutter under your breath, but apparently not low enough again.
“What is your deal?” Dean turns to you, “you have been a nag ever since I told you we were coming here! All these stupid little comments. What the hell is your problem?”
“You really have to ask me what my problem is? You are so blinded by what you once felt for her. I was there with you Dean, when things ended, I know how much she hurt you. I absolutely hate her, and so did you before yesterday.”
“She hurt me, me, not you. I never asked for you to help me, it’s not up to you how I handle this. My life doesn’t concern you, stay out of it! Grow up Y/N, I’m sick and tired of your attitude.”
“Maybe it’s just time I did get out of it. If I’m gone then I can’t interfere in your life anymore.”
“Maybe that would be a great idea. I’m over the way you’ve been lately.”
“Fine, after this case, I’m out of your hair.”
“Best thing you’ve said all case.”
“Alright guys, let’s just calm down,” Sam tries to intervene before it blows up, turning to Dean, “you go work that angle with Cassie and her family, talk to her”
“Yeah, I will.” Dean throws a glare your way when he answers.
“You might also wanna mention that other thing.”
“What other thing?”
“The unfinished business between you two. Dean, what is going on between you?”
You can’t listen so you walk away to calm yourself down.
“Maybe, we were a bit more involved than I said before.” Sam just stares at him. “Okay so a lot more. I told her our secret, what’s out there and what we do. I shouldn’t have.”
“Come on man, everyone needs to open up to someone at some point.”
“No, I don’t. It was stupid of me to get that close. Just look how it ended.”
“Is that what’s wrong with Y/N? How bad this thing ended with you and Cassie?”
“I don’t know what the hell her problem is, but she needs to get over it fast.”
“Did you love her?”
“Y/N? She’s my best friend, dude I can’t.”
“I meant Cassie, but good to know your mind goes there first.”
“No, didn’t. I’m leaving.”
“You did love her, and you dumped her.” Sam watches Dean for a minute, “Wait, she dumped you?”
Dean walked over to the Impala’s door, “Just get in the car, get in the car.”
“What about Y/N?” Sam asks, getting in and looking around for you.
“She can walk back, maybe it will cool her down.”
You walked around the corner trying to calm yourself down and keep the tears at bay. When you are turning to go back you see the Impala speed by. They seriously left you here? Dean really did want you gone. Looking down, you are glad you didn’t grab the heeled shoes, at least this pair wasn't awful for walking.
You turn back around and start the thirty minute walk to the motel. This time you can’t stop the tears from falling. You have loved Dean for years, and been his best friend even longer. You want to be there for Dean. You were best friends, wasn’t that how it was supposed to be? If you are honest with yourself, you would know it was more than that, he was it for you. It was clear lately, you're not the one for him. Apparently you mean nothing to him. Years ago, when he was hurt by Cassie, he changed and didn’t let anyone, even you get as close as he used to. Maybe you should get your own room tonight, and start adjusting to being on your own. This case couldn’t wrap up fast enough for you to get out of this town.
You arrive back at the motel and the Impala is nowhere to be seen. Either they aren’t back yet, or Dean dropped Sam off and went to her. Heading to the room you plan to grab your things and get another room. Opening the door you think you are alone, until Sam walks out of the bathroom.
“Y/N, I’m glad you’re back, I’m sorry Dean left without you.”
“Don’t worry about it Sam, he obviously isn’t.
”
“What is going on with you two?”
“I think we have just had enough of each other.”
“It’s more than that.”
You let out a sigh before turning to sit on the bed. “Dean doesn’t think straight around Cassie, he never has. I don’t want to see him hurt again, because I know she will. He changed the minute he got her call.”
“When are you going to tell my brother you are in love with him?”
“I’m not Sam, I told you last night, he doesn’t share those feelings. Hell, he wants me gone, out of his life, and maybe that isn’t a bad idea.”
“What are you saying?”
“Our friendship is barely hanging on by a thread, I’m not going to cut that final one by telling him how I feel. He wouldn’t wait for this case to even be over before he made me leave. It’s clear I’ve overstayed my welcome with you two.”
“No, you haven’t. I think we all just need a break after this. You and Dean aren’t thinking straight right now.”
“I’m going to grab another room. I don’t think we need the three of us in one tonight.”
“You don’t need to do that.”
“It would be better if...”
“No,” Sam cuts you off, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m sorry, but Dean is with Cassie, we need to figure out how this relates back to her family. I don’t know when he’ll even get back tonight, so don’t worry about another room. Everything will be back to normal in a day or two.”
“Sam, I’m leaving when this case is over. I need to be on my own for a bit. You will always be my not so little, little brother, but I can’t stay around him anymore.
Y/N, come on. It’s just a fight, you guys will be fine in a few days.
“I’m going to hit the shower.” You don’t want him to try and talk you out of this decision.
Walking into the bathroom you quickly turn on the water so Sam won’t hear you cry. After 18 years of friendship this is where you finally part ways from the man who has been there for you since he was 8 years old. Dean doesn’t want you around and you can’t keep watching him sleep with all those other women. The knife in your chest twists a little more every time. Getting out of the shower you get ready for bed, sleeping on the couch again because you couldn’t bring yourself to sleep in the bed that smells like Dean, even if it would be the last time. You know Sam is asleep and you don’t fight the tears that surface once again.
Part 2-coming soon

Because of all the AU’s, I finally decided to do more of an updated version. Little bits of descriptions for most of them, too:
—
(1) Swap AU: Hoping to both distract and cheer herself up from recent events, Cassie makes her way to the Mega Pizzaplex, located not too far away.
Except, when she’s suddenly trapped in the building, she’s quick to discover that there’s something up with Roxy and the rest of the animatronics.
However, it seems as if she may have a chance—thanks to a mysterious rabbit lady, and another, stranger rabbit, which she cannot understand.
—
(2) Fantasy Springtrap AU: Suddenly cursed by his closest friend, and thought to be the one for the ‘deaths’ by everyone else, Springtrap finds himself going on a quest.
Find the five, turn them back to normal. Prove his innocence. Track down Henry. Retrieve his sons. Keep Elizabeth safe. Remove the curse.
It... sure is a lot, he knows.
—
(3) Imaginary Springtrap AU: One day, her father was still around. The next, it was as if he disappeared out of thin air.
With her true father gone, but hoping for his return, Elizabeth finds herself creating a familiar rabbit, who brings her comfort.
She just hopes he won’t disappear, too.
—
(4) Science Experiment Springtrap AU: Created by humans, and held in a facility for over thirty years, the rabbit creature finally made his escape.
Except... the problems? He was unable to break the other three (Michael, Elizabeth, Evan) out, and finds himself injured.
But that’s where Y/N—a human(?) comes into play.
—
(5) FNaF AU/Own Take: Not much to say with this one. It is what it sounds like, and there’s a lot. Just my own version/spin of the FNaF series as a whole.
—
(6) Infection Springtrap AU: Alone for over thirty years, Springtrap finally finds himself able to escape the saferoom. Yet, something seems... wrong.
Something is able to affect both humans and animatronics. It isn’t before long that he reunites with his daughter. But, there’s another problem.
He needs to save her.
—
(7) Mythology AU: While not a full plot, many characters are gods/goddesses/etc, and there are a lot of shenanigans going on.
Glamrock Freddy, after hearing Gregory, is helping him as the god of protection, while searching for Glamrock Bonnie.
Springtrap, after finally becoming a deity, is doing a lot.
Etc.
—
(8) Rabbit Restoration Project: Y/N doesn’t have much knowledge about Freddy’s, including the recent attraction. They’re more focused on restoring things.
And the old, broken, rabbit animatronic that they just found? Not that far from the destroyed attraction? It would certainly make for something interesting to repair.
Yet, perhaps there’s much more to the rabbit...
—
(9) Puppet & Robo-Charlie AU: After so long of wandering, upon meeting a young girl, the spirit has a lot of questions for her father.
As Puppet, and the younger robotic version of herself, wander, and learn the truth together, it seems as if someone is giving chase.
Henry has to make one rest. He has to shut the other off.
—
(10) Glamrock Freddy & Lefty Duo AU: Possessing the newest Freddy model, Henry is thrown into a mission of protecting a boy named Gregory from the threats within the Pizzaplex.
However, he isn’t the only one. Repossessing what’s left, CharlieLefty, makes her way through the building, after learning of the situation.
Although the two agree to work together to help him, there’s a lot to be discussed.
—
(11) Lost & Found AU: Bonnie can’t recall a thing. He’s always been an animatronic rabbit, hasn’t he?
Jeremy’s parents remember everything, and haven’t stopped grieving, yet they don’t bring him up.
Jasper knows nothing.
But, when Bonnie stumbles into the home... things’ll change.

Although, after one dive into that water, and a stressful encounter with a rabbit-like creature, the tale seems to be true. But...
You aren’t scared. How about finding out more?
__
(42) Actor AU: Exactly what it sounds like. All of the games have become a show, and rather quickly, more and more seasons keep popping up.
Behind the scenes time as we see what its like for the actors during it all.
--
(43) The Last Thread: For the longest time, there was only one thing capable of dealing with The Mimic--keeping the horrible thing at bay, and making sure that it didn't cause chaos within all of the villages...
That had been MXES, a rather powerful hare. However, for the last 100 years, The Mimic had been dormant, and the hare had been in the deepest slumber. But what happens when that is disrupted?
The Mimic has become freed, and MXES is tasked with a mission to track it down--all while learning that, at the very end of the journey, the only reward is a permanent slumber.
--
(44) Scattered Logs/Dr. Scraptrap AU: Gizmo... known by many as Dr. Scraptrap, had certainly always been a rather strange and chaotic scientist, as others had always described him. He certainly wasn't well liked.
While working on his latest invention, the doctor continuously leaves little audio recordings, revealing his process... however, things ultimately take a turn for the worst.
Leaving more recordings around, the doctor hopes to pull everything back together.
--
(45) Plans & Suspicions: Just a year ago, his father went missing--leaving behind quite a large number of rumors, all the while more horrible events began occurring.
Michael, having never been certain as to what to think and believe, has rediscovered his father--now a part of one of his very creations, and being dragged along to his son's next destination...
Circus Baby's.
Although... Michael has to wonder. Everything horrible that has been going on... was it really his father's doing, or was it... someone else?
--
(46) Fateful Choices: Jackie was well aware of the fact that her husband hadn't been himself as recently. She wasn't oblivious... since the very beginning, the changes had been so clear.
Although, whatever happened--whether it was a simple conversation with William that turned into an argument, or following him to one of the few pizzerias, she had always thought that everything would be okay...
But, now? Staring down at the hands of the Spring Bonnie suit, and contained within such a small room...
She was wrong.
--
(47) What Was Lost: Tracking him down had, admittedly, been rather difficult, but not impossible. As Henry stared at the broken animatronic rabbit... he had to wonder what exactly was left of his old friend.
The moment the two ran into each other, Springtrap put on an act, Henry realized. It sickens him... but it's not like Henry is doing the same--putting on his own act.
Removing his old friend from the so called 'horror attraction'... the two of them seem to have their own plans.
--
(48) After Time and Time Again/Space AU: After over thirty years of containment, Springtrap has escaped the traveling ship, and has already begun preparations for a new plan.
After ten years of the rabbit being trapped, Spring Bonnie has been rescued, and reunited with the rest of the rabbit's little group from years ago.
Too bad there's not much time to relax--with Springtrap on the loose, and other looming threats being made known.
--
(49) Decade after Decade/Rewrite 2: Another complete rewrite of the games canon that follows the character--although, this time, it only goes up to Pizza Sim, and stops there.
--
(50) Through Harsh Waters: Through both land and water, Captain Springtrap has always been rather well known--and has certainly been rather daring, too.
One of the most well known facts about him? No matter what seems to happen, the Captain always comes back from it.
Although, one night, the daring--and exhausted--rabbit sneaks aboard a ship--only to get caught by Captain Ballora and the rest of her own crew.
What happens next?
--
(51) No One's First Choice: When it comes to life in Animatronic-Village--Animatronica?--there's always been so much chaos. Although...
There have always been teams scattered around to push all of that chaos away--to make sure that everyone living there can have such a peaceful, lovely time...
What happens when residents such as Springtrap, RXQ, Spring Bonnie, and so on get formed into a mix of a surprising team, needing to deal with that chaos?
Well... everyone's about to find out.
(Blorbo AU.)
--
(52) Reignited Spark/Musical AU: Emerging from the rubble of a horror attraction--one that he doubted ever stood a chance--Springtrap finds himself diving deep into a sea of new plans...
All the while an abrupt, unexpected reunion is mixed into it--with the addition of an old friend's plan beginning to move forward, too.
(A different take on the post-FNaF-3+Pizza Sim events... but with songs.)
--
(53) The Yellow Rabbit's Lead: When Gregory arrived at the Mega Pizzaplex, he never expected that he would get trapped there until 6am... or, that he would have to deal with the dangerous rabbit lady, who is closing in...
Most of all, he never expected help from one of the animatronics--a yellow rabbit that, while not seeming to be affected by... whatever is occurring, has a lot of history with the franchise.
After all, this yellow rabbit is modeled after the one from all those years ago--the one that was used to bring tragedy.

I’ve always been curious about Kate bishops background and would love to hear a paraphrased version if ur okay with it
[Absolutely I can! Just a little disclaimer, I'm doing this mostly from memory, so I may get a few things wrong. But I promise the gist is there, and this has gotten way too long, so uh... part one? I guess? I didn't even get to the vampires. If people are into this. I'll keep going.]
Okay, let’s start with Kate’s backstory.
The Bishop family has issues. Eleanor, Kate’s mom, is distant but portrayed as a generally good person. She and her husband Derek have an estranged relationship. She travels a lot and is regarded as an activist throughout her life until her untimely death when Kate is still just a kid.
Kate develops admiration for her father. He’s a publishing magnate but it’s soon revealed that he has ties to the crime world. Kate, despite her young age, follows her father to a meeting with El Matador. While there, she gets captured by the crime lord to be held for ransom.
This is where she see’s Clint for the first time, who saves her with the rest of the avengers. She took an instant liking to him because he was the only human on the team without advantages. At this point, she does make Clint her role model and starts to distance herself from her family to focus on activism like Eleanor.
Kate didn’t’ truly start training in combat until she was attacked in Central Park. This kicked off her love of self-defense. She originally felt isolated and in some cannon media, this moment in the park still haunts her beyond belief. (Young Avengers Special #1 [2005] is a great comic that’s stand alone & shows the mentorship between Jessica Jones and Kate. TW for SA.)
Que the Young Avengers.
(My personal favorite Kate Bishop Design)
Kate has an older sister that’s been completely written out of the MCU adaptation. Her name is Susan, and she doesn’t have the greatest relationship with Kate, they’re not openly hostile, but they don’t enjoy each other either. Still, Kate is in Susan’s wedding party.
During the wedding, the church comes under fire and the Young Avengers swoop in to save the day. But they awkwardly become hostages themselves and Kate uses one of Patriots throwing stars to get them out of the situation before the police show up.
Kate very ungracefully demands to become a part of the Young Avengers (The original team is: Cassie Lang, Eli Bradley, Tommy Shepard, Billy Kaplan, Nate Richards, and Teddy Altman). Kate originally doesn’t have a hero identity, so she raids the Avengers Mansion and dawns Mockingbirds staves and mask, swordsman’s sword and belt and Hawkeyes abandoned bow.
Captain America and Iron man were not happy about the team and demanded that they disband. But eventually gave in after the Young Avengers refused to back down. Kate was the only one to stand up to Steve and demand that they get better training. He agreed and put Jessica Jones in charge of the team. This is when Kate becomes Hawkeye. Steve gives her the title and the bow. She’s the unofficial leader of the Young Avengers.
What about Clint?
Dude is dead in the Young Avengers run. Clint makes his valiant return in the massive Civil War event that Marvel comics created. He was resurrected and is absolutely pissed when he finds out that Steve gave his name and his bow away.
Clint actually attacks Kate while she’s on a date with Eli Bradley in Central Park. He’s officially Ronin at this point and is impressed by Kate’s skills after she breaks into his place to steal her bow back. He unofficially (but also totally officially) allows her to take the mantle.
The Children’s Crusade
I’m skipping a lot of small side quests that Kate takes (even though they’re a lot of fun) because Children’s Crusade is possibly the most important part of her journey, and by the looks of it, is the basis for where the MCU is planning to go in the next few years.
Kate has a really strong friendship with Billy Kaplan, aka Billy Maximoff. He’s the strongest magic being to ever inhabit earth and when his powers become dangerous the Avengers decide to lock him up. That didn’t slide with Kate, and they ended up breaking him out of the tower and entering alternate timelines in search of Billy’s mom- Wanda Maximoff.
This was pure, time-warp chaos. Wanda had forgotten who she was and was about to marry Doctor Doom when the Young Avengers showed up and pulled her out of it. She regained her powers and her memories, coming to terms with Billy and Tommy being her sons.
Once in their original timeline, a massive fight breaks out between the Avengers and the x-men. It’s a whole thing that ends up killing Cassie Lang. Her death ends up disbanding the original Young Avengers who go their separate ways to come to terms with how dangerous being a hero really is.
Matt Fraction? Matt Fraction.
Listen, if you’re looking for the inspiration behind the general vibe of the show Hawkeye, this is the run for you. If you read anything from Kate’s comic journey, let it be this. You don’t need any prior knowledge to Kate or Clint to enjoy this one and the artwork heavily inspired the intro to the show.
In this series, Clint is the owner of an apartment building that’s since been taken over by the tracksuit mafia. Kate and Clint have an established friendship and the dynamic is very much like the show. But grittier. The series leans into Clint’s deafness and Kate’s trauma. It’s a basis for their relationship.
Los Angeles, baby
Kate goes to LA a lot. It’s her home away from New York and her arcs there are some of my favorite (it’s a guilty pleasure, honestly). During her run with Matt Fraction’s Hawkeye, she has a particularly bad fight with Clint. She takes Lucky and jets off to the beach to find her niche.
Kate becomes a very cool, very chill private eye for her first solo run; Hawkeye Private Eye. While she does eventually go back to New York to help out Clint, she starts her own business in Los Angeles where she teams up with Jessica Jones and Laura x23. Very fun, very goofy series.
[This took...hours. Literal Hours. But I have access to all the digital archives for Kate so, I'm more than happy to keep going lol]

Chapter Forty-Six: Love
A few weeks after David Cain was detained, Harvey knocked on Cassandra’s room door to speak to her. Everyone else attempted to, but she shut herself in her room and refused to speak to anyone. “Cassandra, you don’t have to talk. I just wanted to hang out here. I figured you’d understand,” Harvey stated as he stood outside. Cassandra opened her door and pointed to the movies in the corner of the room and her TV on the other side.
Harvey nodded and picked a movie before plopping down on the beanbag chair next to her. “I was never as brave as you were. I never could’ve fought my dad,” Harvey whispered as he moved his bangs out of the way to show her the healed gash on his head. “Bruce stitched me up after my dad threw a bottle at me.”
Cassandra looked at his head before rolling up the back of her shirt to show Harvey two bullet wounds. “Gun,” Cassandra replied as she pantomimed shooting.
“Yikes,” Harvey replied, “Are you sad about Davi—? About your father?”
Cassandra nodded, and Harvey sighed. “I still love my dad, but I know he’s not a good person. You can’t change how you feel, but it doesn’t make you the same as him. It makes you good because you can love him even after how he hurt you,” Harvey stated.
“Love… makes you good?” Cassandra questioned.
“Love makes you want to try to be good,” Harvey explained, “And everyone understands how you feel. Even if they don’t know what happened to you for sure… They understand that you are as good as it gets. You’re a wonderful person.”
“I am?” Cassandra asked.
“Mhm. But you can’t stay in here all day hiding from your family. Especially Thomas. You saved his life, and he misses you,” Harvey whispered. Cassandra’s bottom lip quivered as she wiped tears from her eyes. “Jeez Louise, Cassie, I didn’t mean to make you—.”
She got up and ran to Thomas’ office, embracing him as she wept quietly. “What’s wrong, Cassiepillar? You can tell me,” Thomas whispered.
“Love you,” Cassandra mumbled.
“Aww, I love you too… You don’t have to be upset, sweetpea. I love you so much,” Thomas smiled. “And that’s why I’ve decided to stay home even after I’m all better. We’re gonna spend so much time together.”
“Yeah?” Cassandra asked.
“Uh-huh,” Thomas chuckled.
**
Dick woke up in the middle of the night with a fever and knocked on his parents’ door. “Dad? Dad!” Dick rasped. He pounded on the door with tears in his eyes. “Dad!”
“Door’s unlocked, Dick!” Thomas shouted in reply. Thomas transferred into his chair as Dick opened the door. Thomas approached Dick and got a good look at him in the dark. “Come on. Let’s talk in your room, so Alfred and your mom can get some sleep.”
Dick nodded, still panicking as he followed Thomas down the hall to his room. And as soon as he realized it wasn’t panic that he felt, he ran to the bathroom to throw up. Thomas waited for Dick to return, and he turned the lights on low. Dick stepped out of the bathroom, shaking and sweating. “It’s alright… You’re sick. Do you want me to stay with you?” Thomas asked. They hadn’t had a chance to talk about that night with Cassandra and David. Thomas knew he’d have to talk about it, but he wasn’t looking forward to that conversation.
Dick nodded and climbed into bed before letting Thomas climb in next to him. Thomas sat up and tensed up in shock as Dick grasped Thomas’ shirt and held it tight in his fists. “I don’t wanna lose you,” Dick whispered, “I—. I want you to adopt me.”
“Okay. We’ll talk about it again when you feel better,” Thomas whispered. Dick shivered, and Thomas pulled the blankets up over him. “I’m not going anywhere. I don’t think you’ve ever been sick here… I wonder why now…”
“I can’t sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I see you falling. Over and over and over… The sound is a lot flatter than most people realize. It makes your stomach jump,” Dick whispered. Thomas looked ahead, so he wouldn’t have to face the look on Dick’s face. “I think the worst part of seeing someone die is the thought that they’re supposed to get back up. You can’t—. You can’t wake them up, but your brain doesn’t process that in real-time, so you’re just—. Every second before you realize they’re never coming back feels like years… Even still, some days I wake up thinking that I’m going to see them. Do you understand?”
Tears streamed down Thomas’ cheeks. “I hear your voice,” Thomas stated in a broken whisper, “I hear you begging for help… I can feel your arms around me, pulling me back, and I—. I wasn’t choosing Cassie over you. I just—.
“Having more than one child is something I never imagined. It’s hard enough having one human being around, loving them, and worrying about keeping them safe. Three children… I would’ve taken that dive for any of you without question.”
“Is Bruce—?”
“He’s coming home. I know it’s hard to understand but the longer he’s away the more I understand. Bruce will come home when it’s time,” Thomas reassured Dick before looking down at Dick’s face. He couldn’t keep his eyes open. “You can go to sleep. I’ll be here.”
“I don’t want to… I don’t want you to leave—.”
“I’ll be here. I’ll be here until you feel better,” Thomas whispered.
**
Bruce followed Talia down the corridor to a bedroom that was twice the size of his room back home, and she handed him a change of clothes. He stood there for a moment, looking at her features, and they met eyes, startling him into averting his gaze. “You can look me in the eyes. I invite you to,” Talia whispered as she reached for his arm and froze.
Bruce looked into her eyes. “Talia’s a beautiful name,” Bruce whispered. Talia laughed as Bruce moved her hair away from her face to get a better look. She leaned forward, and Bruce hesitated before pulling away. “I can’t… I don’t even know you. I don’t know why I’m here. Talia, I hope you understand that it isn’t a lack of—.”
“We’re going to talk about that over dinner,” Talia whispered. Bruce swallowed hard. “And perhaps we should take a walk after… You and I.”
Her eye contact made his throat dry, and his heart dropped into his stomach, feeling heavy and tight where it shouldn’t. “Okay… Well, I have to get dressed now,” Bruce said, almost commanding her to leave. Talia smirked.
“Of course. Someone will come for you in a little while and bring you to dinner… And don’t panic if things have… changed, ” Talia whispered before leaving the room.
Bruce stared into space as he thought about her words to him, and he stepped behind the curtains and looked in the mirror as he disrobed. He reached for his cock before noticing something strange. He touched his stomach, thumbing at where his scar should’ve been. He turned around and tried to see if he could see the exit wound scar on his back. “What the—?” Bruce shook his head climbed into the claw foot tub and sank under the water. He sat up pushing his hair back and taking a breath of air as he took the bar of soap and loofah hanging overhead. “I must be cracking up.”

This is somewhat of a continuation of the post I made recently: but I think Marco and Cassie’s relationship dynamic is a very interesting one. They are on the surface of it the advocates of opposing ideologies, and the closest emotionally to Jake so that he is always feeling the contrasting pull of both. And by connection they are the resident “smart ones” of the group, the ones that tend to notice things others don’t and make the most cogent intellectual arguments. Except that (in a running theme of the series of the contrast of how each character is viewed by others vs. reality, and how those roles they are stereotyped into in the pressure cooker of war affect them) only Marco is really acknowledged and named by the others as “the smart one”, as an appellation constantly referred to them when they are being introduced (Rachel is the brave one, Jake is the leader, Tobias is the one who is a hawk, etc.). Yes Cassie will sometimes get a shout out as being deep or emotionally understanding, but never “smart”, even if she has about as many moments of finding the intelligent solution or realizing something as Marco does. And I think this speaks to how Cassie’s ideas seem too out-of-left field, she thinks “differently” and is likely to be dogpiled by everyone as a result, while as noted in one of the books (can’t remember which) Marco’s complaining and cautiousness (and by extension his ruthlessness) says what everybody thinks but doesn’t want to say, just on a more intelligent and insightful level, it’s the same “genre” but with more insight. Even Cassie herself internalizes it, referring to Marco as the smartest one and herself as a dumb tree-hugger.
Interestingly, the only time I can think of she is referred to as “the smartest one” the way Marco often is by Marco himself in #45. In this book, Marco wants to rescue his mother but, from his position of logical ruthlessness, thinks it would only harm others for his own personal benefit. And then Cassie is the one who is able to come up with an objective reason why saving her would benefit them and their cause, and Marco responds by thinking that “I just wouldn’t again forget that, in some ways, Cassie is the bravest and smartest of my friends”. He appreciates Cassie and her intelligence because when someone else, like Jake, tries to tell him do act with his heart, there’s not much of an argument to it and it is something he can easily debunk, it’s all just foolish and not pragmatic. But Cassie is smart enough to actually make him believe, by his own logic, that he can dare to hope for himself.
There’s also the dynamic between them of selfishness/personal gain vs. selflessness, where it quickly becomes unclear who is supposed to represent what. But just a recap if you haven’t read that: I talked in my earlier post about how Cassie’s fundamental drive/motivation is that the animal world is cold, running on just survival, of oneself and those genetically close to oneself (as she realizes in #9 and has a bit of a breakdown about), and to prove there is something more and the world is not senseless, every sapient being has to use their ability to morally reason (as she articulates in Megamorphs #2) to do whatever an animal wouldn’t. Marco starts out as the opposite, the one out of all the Animorphs who is most associated with personal “survive and protect one’s family” goals. In the early books, he is the most concerned about the risk of death they run, for himself and how it would emotionally crush his father, and often points out that the people they are helping are not people he personally knows or is related to, so why should he risk his life for them? When he decides to fully commit himself to the war, it’s not out of some far-reaching altruism but because he now knows his mother is a Controller and he might be able to rescue her. Contrasting Cassie’s desire to transcend the reasoning of an animal, the ruthlessness that Marco desires is “animal-coded” in #15, where he loves the shark morph for giving him the simple and ruthless animal instinct that allows him to escape his uncertainties and insecurities.
But something strange happens along the way. Step by step, Marco transitions from using the shark’s logic, the animal ruthlessness, for its typical purpose of survival of one’s genes to expanding it to the whole planet, being willing to appropriate that animal instinct for the benefit of all of humanity even at the expense of his personal benefit (being willing to sacrifice his mother no matter how much it emotionally destroys him) – appropriating the logic of selfishness for a selfless cause, and taking the same risks even though he’s given up on saving what personally matters to him from it. And Cassie’s fundamental driving principle of avoiding that self-serving logic also means avoiding the “animal’s action” even when it would have a great utilitarian benefit, which gradually starts to look an awful lot like selfishness. In #19, Cassie is willing to risk her friends’ torture and death, and in the long run the enslavement of humanity, so she can convince Aftran that there is another way besides parasitism. This makes perfect sense with her convictions, as the animal logic would say the Yeerks are biologically forced to be humans’ enemies, and humans for their own survival must see them as enemies to kill, but her beliefs means she must try to find a way that they can use their sapience to transcend that, otherwise what would be the point of living and winning in the first place? But it’s still a different kind of selfishness; not a selfishness for one’s own preservation, but that of potentially causing much suffering of others so one can personally feel morally sound and avoid despair. And I just love that dynamic where it quickly becomes unclear within the character foil relationship who is supposed to be the selfish or personally driven one and who is supposed to be the selfless, caring for everyone person. Just a fascinating dynamic.

OH have you finished all of animorphs then? Any general wrap-up thought on the characters n their arcs if so?
oh boy okay that's a big ask because the lack of specificity means i'm inclined to be comprehensive. i'm gonna force myself to be brief
jakey: very coherent arc from "i'm not the leader why are you guys saying i'm the leader stop saying i'm the leader" to "Subhuman. Flush 'em." it's good. i also like the chain where he's like. initially invested for saving his brother > tells marco he can't make calls about his mother because he's too close to the situation and is frankly an ass about it while hypocritically insisting he can handle the yeerk controlling his brother trying to murder his father, relieved when the animorphs take the difficulty of having to make the choice away from him but still views it as an indictment of his leadership capabilities > during the evacuation of the families he almost like...overcompensates w/ under-prioritizing himself and his loved ones, irrationally prioritizes everyone else's families being moved out first despite the fact that it would have made more tactical sense to do his first > he loses his family over this and it breaks him
rachel: problem w/ rachel is that, unbeknownst to me when i started reading, multiple of the books for her just had no idea what the hell or fuck they were doing, and were wildly out of character. ignoring the books that were fake and didn't happen, her arc is good. the thing is that "we might have to do something terrible, too. get rachel" is the crux of her Issues and the ghostwriters didn't need to do any of that other shit. the fake and true rachel books would've been served better by exploring the fundamental divide btwn her and cassie as people i'm sure you know what i mean
marco: probably the most consistent/strong arc? it's good. reading the end part was like
marco: i haven't seen jake in a few months. i still worry about him of course, just...from my hot tub me: that seems not true marco: okay so he hasn't seen ME in a few months but i have been continuously accidentally-on-purpose spying on him, and also sometimes i turn into a lobster in my fountain to cope me: okay yeah that's true
i like his fundamental internal conflict of. Being a person who is very capable of seeing, as per his iconic monologue, the bright line from a to z, and also continuously kicking the part of him that's horrified & upset by how that line impacts himself/the things personal to him under a rug. and despising when people pity him or acknowledge that he's upset/hurt because it reminds him he's got all that shit under the rug and distracts him from the bright clear line. really really good character writing how he's completely okay with constantly yelling and crying about how he's the most scared and afraid boy ever because fear over physical things is pragmatic, but he can't tolerate having it acknowledged when he's upset by something he knows to be necessary, because that's Not pragmatic. it adds flavor
cassie: i think it's funny how some of the other roles on the team are "the leader" "the lieutenant" "the axe-man" (<- not to be confused with the ax-man) etc and she's The One With A Continuously Functioning Moral Compass, Nerd #2, and The Emergency Lisa*. i've been told that the cassie books are either some of the strongest in the series or absolutely nothing but the thing is that i like the absolute nothing ones because i think the shenanigans are fun. so overall she's got great books. the struggle of a character who finds the moral compromises she's forced to make while participating in a war genuinely psychologically intolerable but still keeps being sucked in further is good & a nice sort of foil 2 some of the other morphs. i do have. And this has to be said despite being somewhat tangential. i do have the firm opinion that. rachel and cassie v much come off like they should be the classic "people who were bffs as kids and start becoming distant/incompatible as teens but are ignoring it and will be insisting on hanging out/calling each other bffs for several more years until something causes a bigger schism" dynamic & it would add a lot more if the text was aware of this fact and did something about it. but that's a longer post for a later time
tobias: his stomach flipping over while he tries to deny that the hawk-boy form of himself ellimist is showing him is him is perhaps one of the most stark scenes in the entire series and i think we should all be drawing it more. it's nice they put an abused autistic kid who doesn't feel like a human person in animorphs so that various children reading could have their brains rewired. i like how he's got a very heavy internal life. he's always Pondering. the torture plotline is a bit weakly written i think, his strongest moments are when he's doing an identity crisis thing. his dynamic with rachel is really good and the end of his arc does feel fitting. i think with how aximili is always going on abt how tobias is his shorm aka soulmate it would've been good if we saw more of the convos they were having or they had a more clearly Besties bond going on. although i DO like that aximili almost never shouts, someone (jake?) explicitly notes that when ax Does yell it means you'd better fucking listen, and to my memory the only call-caps moment aximili has is yelling "TOBIAS!" when he thinks tobias is critically wounded. more of that shit please. i would've also liked more tobias books in general bc he has one of the strongest narrative voices out of the gang
aximili: I was so mad about his very last book in the series being a shit ghostwriting moment. So mad you do not even want to know. entire plot of, like, book 8 all over again, except this time he's casually considering endorsing genocide for some reason. anyway i think there's a lot of interesting things going on in his head but his arc doesn't really wrap up well & there are a few ghostwritten books where he feels poorly done w/o having a rachel-type Really Iconic book that makes up for it. he works better early and mid series. he's also just a fundamentally hilarious character concept which is great. i'm sad that people lied to me about him being autistic compared to other andalites (he's not) but i like when he has axtism moments anyway. i would like to see 100 drawings of axmini get cinnamon roll now please

Walker episode 2 review
Cordell, Trey, and Cassie find themselves watching over the episode’s titular character, Maybelline Pratt, a state witness in a money laundering case. Maybeline has the charm of all 4 Golden Girls characters as well as their combined age. Like Sophie Petrillo, she gave Trey the slip and tried to hotwire a patrol car with a wrench, because that’s how they do in Sicily. Like Blanche Devereaux, she loves flirting with Trey even as they take turns running away from each other. Like Dorothy Zbonak, she is full of judgment stares and sass and keeps calling Cordell by the wrong surname. Rangers over the age of 50 are smitten with her because every red-blooded male that grew up in the 70s and 80s fell in love with Karen Allen and Kathleen Turner and their smokey voices. Harrison Ford to this day can’t stand Indiana Jones fanboys approaching him to only want to talk about Marion Ravenwood and “that voice”.
Maybelline has the Rose Nylund naivety thinking she can just go back to St. Olaf and carried a metal file in her oversized purse to escape from WITSEC. Cordell decided one of them need to take her home. Trey and Cassie were “not it” and Cordell reluctantly take her to Walker ranch while the 2 security officers assigned to her secure the area. Maybelline soften her attitude towards Cordell when she sees family pictures and learn of Emily’s passing. Later in the middle of the night, Cordell finds Maybelline having “just to taste” bourbon at the dinner table and the two have a heart to heart over Cordell’s worry over his children leaving the nest.
“The days are long, but the years are short”, Maybelline tells Cordell, and while children appear not to listen, they are always watching. The fact that Stella and August feel comfortable enough to leave home just means he (and Emily) did a good job raising them, and they’ll likely come back one day. Just like Cordell and Liam did.
Cordell found it easier to talk to a stranger about his anxiousness over being ill prepared for "the quiet" once his kids are gone. Stella too, found it easier to talk to Ben about her guilt over Witt’s death and had even shut Liam out. In attempt to make peace with her conflicting conscious, she visits a roadside memorial where Witt succumbed to his gun shot injury. Unexpectantly Witt’s uncle, Mike, shows up and seems kind, which made Stella feel worse and she flees. Then Mike ominously calls someone to say he found something “interesting”. Looks like there will be a second mystery to go with the unsolved Jackal case as we never learn why Witt broke into Geri’s house. Speaking of which…
Cassie had updated Geri (and us) that she decided to return to the Texas Rangers. Later Geri offers Cassie to move into her house, referencing the break in that it would be a good idea to have a ranger around. While Cassie is thrilled and accepted Geri’s offer, you know that Cordell would be worried about their girl talks. At least I would be.
Cordell, Trey, and Cassie brings Maybelline to court to give her testimony only to walk right into a trap to distract them so that the baddies can kidnap Maybelline. Cue lively soundtrack as a car chase through the parking garage to rescue Maybelline ends in beat down fights by Cordell and Trey. Maybelline bats her Blanche Devereaux lashes at Trey for saving her. Cordell insists it was a team effort.
At home, Cordell waits for August to discuss the issue of him wanting to join an after school boot camp to ready himself for the military, but he needs a signed permission slip from his father. Earlier August asked Bonham to go over Cordell’s head and convince Trey, who is running the program, to let him join. In the season 3 finale, Cordell wouldn’t give his permission to let August join the military while he is underage. When Bonham tries to broach the subject with Cordell, he immediately shuts it down because he wants to put off of August growing up as long as he can. But after his midnight conversation with Maybelline, Cordell is ready to have a talk with August.
Cordell explains that while he has no regret over his own tour in the military, he can’t help wondering if he missed out on other options and he doesn’t want that for August. But, if this is really what August wants, he'll be supportive, no matter how much he'll worry over his “only son” and “baby boy”. August is thrilled and promised to follow Cordell’s condition that he is present for every Sunday dinner and keep up his schoolwork. A flashback scene from the pilot episode shows Cordell telling a 14-year-old August he didn't mean for his son to grow up quickly after his mother's death, adding to Cordell’s bittersweet demeanor.
We have "the quiet" before the storm with Cordell, Liam, Ben, and Stella having fun together playing darts at the Side Step. Stella returns to her dorm to find a threatening message on the window written in red paint.
Speculation #2: Witt didn't die from his gunshot wound and was murdered on the roadside by the same person who left the threatening message to Stella.
Score: 9 out of 10. What started out a light-hearted episode ends with a horror movie jump scare, a kind of metaphor for parental struggle and angst.

Angels
"Cassie?"
She was tired. Everything hurt. Couldn't she just go to sleep? Her dad slept off his migraines, and his problems, and her problems, and...everything.
Yes, sleep should solve it.
"Wake up."
"Mmmmm...I don't wanna..."
"Cassie, little rockstar, please wake up."
Cassie cracked one eye open, though the darkness beyond didn't reveal much. There was some rotting smell, ash, something that smelled vaguely poisonous... She dropped her head back, pain lancing up her spine at the abrupt motion.
"Come on, get up. We need to get moving."
Cassie groaned loudly as someone pulled her out of her little crater, her eyes fluttering open. Her gaze met the black eyes of a white bear mask and she stared for a moment before hauling in a deep breath and screaming.
"Okay, okay, that's enough," the bear mask guy said, his voice rasping and dry, a hint of some European accent slipping through. He gave her a gentle shake. "Cassie, was it? Please stop, you'll draw attention to us."
Cassie stopped screaming when claws gently hooked through her torn sweater, fumbling for her fingers. Cassie looked up, meeting Roxy's blind face, the wolf's ears perking as her stripped digits curled around Cassie's fingers.
"Little rockstar," Roxy murmured. "You're okay."
"I don't feel okay," Cassie whimpered, her awareness returning in a rush of pain.
"We need to take her to the Daycare," the bear mask guy said. "They'll have the resources to patch her up." He glanced over his shoulder. "Let's hurry, though, before that thing comes back."
"What's going on?" Cassie asked as the guy looped one arm under her legs and the other around her back, carefully lifting her off the ground and resting her cautiously against his chest as he stood. "Who are you?"
"A friend," he said simply. He started walking, and even though he was clearly trying to keep her steady, his steps still sent bolts of pain through her with each movement. She could hear Roxy following, the wolf's joints hissing with each step, her claws dragging along the wall to guide her. "And your other friend dropped you down an elevator shaft. Roxy and I fished you out after driving the Mimic off."
"Why?" Cassie whispered.
"My father's not getting away with another murder," the guy muttered.
"No, why would Gregory do that?" she clarified, her voice breaking. "I came here to save him..."
"He wasn't here," the guy said. "You freed the Mimic that Gregory apparently trapped here. Guess he didn't want you letting it out when you escaped."
Cassie squeezed her eyes shut as if that could erase the betrayal of her best friend. She curled into the guy's chest, his fingers tightening around her.
She took shuddering breaths, counting each one until the guy finally slowed down, kicking open some door and kneeling to lay her on dirty mats.
"Oh, no, no, no!" a loud yet friendly voice called. "We're still cleaning up! You can't be in here!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Eclipse, but no one's going to be visiting for a while," the guy said. Cassie opened her eyes just as Eclipse landed beside her, his rays spinning once as he took her in.
"Oh, little girl," the animatronic cooed, reaching spindly fingers towards her and ghosting them over her body. "What happened to you, starshine?"
"That doesn't matter," the guy said. "Can you help her?"
"Of course," Eclipse replied, standing and reaching into his stomach hatch. He pulled out a charred plastic box, prying the lid off and rummaging through its contents. "Oh dear, we're going to need more supplies than this. Hang tight, little one. We'll be right back."
Eclipse took off, the guy dropping into a criss cross applesauce position next to Cassie, Roxy awkwardly settling on her knees beside them.
"Roxy," Cassie started, but Roxy quickly shook her head.
"Don't worry, little rockstar," she assured her. "You did nothing wrong."
"You stuck your nose where you shouldn't have," the guy interjected. "This is no place for a little girl. And dabbling in the AR world? You'll be seeing Helpy in your peripherals for the rest of your life."
"How do you know all this stuff?" Cassie asked. "Are you a Fazbear technician?"
"Something like that." He glanced away. "I'm better at fixing robots than people, and even then I'm better at breaking the robots than fixing them." He looked down at her. "All this to say I suck at first aid. Sorry."
"Why are you dressed like that?"
"Covers up what people don't want to see."
"What's that?"
"You don't want to see."
"What's your name?"
"You ask a lot of questions."
"You saved my life," Cassie said quietly, meekly. "I...I guess I just want to know why."
"You remind me of someone."
"...who?"
Even though the bear mask was smiling, she could feel the sadness seep into his persona. He didn't reply.
"Hello again, friends!" Eclipse declared, landing and dropping bandages and some other scary looking things beside the trio. "Roxy, dear, would you mind holding her up? She's got a nasty gash on her leg that I'd like to attend to first. Here, starshine. Take these pills. They'll help with the pain."
Roxy gently lifted Cassie, the little girl letting out a pained squeak. Eclipse pressed a pair of pills into her hand, his optics flickering. "I don't have any water, I'm sorry," he said, shaking his head. "Try not to think about it, little one."
"I can go get water," the guy said, pushing himself to standing with an odd mechanical hiss. "Hopefully something that's not sewage."
He slipped out of the double doors, Cassie's focus shifting to Eclipse as he grabbed a bottle and a graying cloth. "Hold still, starshine," he said and got to work.
The guy came back with a cracked mug, water leaking slowly between the crack. He pressed it into her shaking hand, taking the pills from her and dropping them between her parted lips. "Careful," he muttered as he pressed the mug to her lips. He pulled back after she'd swallowed.
"Why wear the mask?" she asked, trying to distract herself from the sting of whatever Eclipse was doing to her leg, Roxy's digits rubbing comforting circles on her shoulders. The guy seemed to pick up on this and sighed, his shoulders drooping.
"Couple of reasons. Not to scare people, and AR access." He pointed a stern finger at her. "It's meant for adults."
"Sorry," she whispered. He shook his head.
"Too late for apologies and regrets." He crossed his arms over his chest, looking around the Daycare. "How long until she's ready to be transported?"
"At least fifteen minutes. We need to do some scans and get her medicated properly," Eclipse said. "Our little starshine shouldn't have to deal with this pain all on her own."
"Can I see?" Cassie asked. "What's under the mask? I've seen some pretty scary things."
"She's not scared of me," Roxy said, clearly trying to be humorous, though vulnerability seeped into her voice.
"You look fine, Roxy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise," the guy told her. "Little girl, trust me, you're better off not knowing."
"Name or mask," Cassie offered boldly, wincing as Eclipse's digits brushed a tender spot. He muttered a gentle apology. The guy tilted his head.
"Little negotiator, are we? Fine. Eggs Benedict."
Cassie giggled. "That's not your name," she said with a laugh.
"That's what people call me."
"Why?"
"It's what I've gone by for a long time. Some idiot gave it to me and it just stuck."
"Okay, then what were you called before that?"
"Benedict Eggs."
She laughed again, shaking her head. "You're funny."
"Glad you think so."
"Well, since you won't tell me your real name, then you have to show me your face." She fixed him with a stern look. "Deal's a deal, right?"
His head tilted the other way. "You're not quitting, are you?"
She shook her head with a small smile. "Momma didn't raise a quitter."
"Good mother." His aura softened. "Good kid." He sighed, looking to the side and reaching up to touch the base of his mask. "Okay, fine. Promise not to scream in my face this time."
She raised her pinky. "Promise." He turned to stare at her hand and she wiggled her finger expectantly. He shook his head, reaching over and carefully curling his finger around hers. For the first time, she noticed the white bandages wrapping around each of his fingers and disappearing beneath his sleeve.
She didn't get the chance to ask about it before he was pushing the mask back to rest at an angle on his head, revealing more bandages around his neck and stitches on sickly purple skin. Cassie's eyes widened and she swallowed her words -- and disgust -- as he tilted his head and watched her expectantly.
"Michael Afton," he said. "At your service." His mouth quirked upwards, black eyes lidded and tired. "But you can call me Mike."

Hey, I like you! -tells you about all of my personal Melissa headcanons-
I love Melissa with all my heart, she's my favorite background character ever. However (to me personally, don't come at me with the black dagger), I don't count "Hey Melissa!" canon in my personal universe. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a murderous woman with a blazer, but I don't like the idea of Melissa being a murderer in EVERY universe 😭 breaks my heart. SO. HERE ARE ALL OF MY MELISSA HEADCANONS!
Name: Melissa Riley-Faith
Pronouns: She/Her
Gender: Cisgender female
Sexuality: Unlabeled
Mental illness: Depression
Family: Shitty mom she doesn't talk to named Alison, and her cat Cassie
Height: 5'6
Age: 31
- Melissa loves doing photography, mostly of nature
- She's been best friends with Charlotte for 15 long years, because I refuse to think they aren't close friends
- She has a lot of candles. I can just see it-
- Melissa doesn't drive, so she walks to work with Charlotte. Even when she's not going to work, she mostly walks everywhere. She loves going for walks
- Passive Aggressive Mel my beloved
- As a little nod to "Hey Melissa!", She makes a lot of dark jokes, just has a dark sense of humor
- She isn't exactly a light weight, but don't give her too much to drink either unless you wanna deal with either a very emotional Melissa or a very energetic Melissa
- She has two different colored eyes, mostly because when I first saw her I couldn't tell if her eyes were green or brown. SO SHE HAS BOTH (you can see it in my artwork actually)
- 100% listens to Lady Gaga, prove me wrong I dare you
(TW for the next few HCs, talking about depression, abuse, and self harm)
- Melissa has self harm scars from her past, and she isn't afraid to show them off
- Her father died when she was 14, and because of this she was mentally abused by her mother. She moved out when she was almost 20 years old, and hasn't really spoken with her mom since
- Melissa tends to go through depressive episodes, having times where she can't even get out of bed. Charlotte has known about this for a long time, and is always looking out for her
- She used to be friends with Sam, but after seeing how he treats Charlotte, she despises him
- Call me crazy for this, but I can see her and Mr. Davidson having a father daughter relationship. It's the same with Bill and Mel, but it's more commonly seen with Mr. Davidson
- She used to have a crush on Paul (much like in canon), but when she learned that he loved Emma, she eventually lost feelings, and now they're all friends
- Melissa, Emma, Charlotte, Piper (OC), Alexa (OC),Harper (OC), and Sawyer (OC) are all a girl group because it's funny to me and my bestie
- She doesn't have a strong opinion on coffee, but she normally has a lot of milk in it
- While she isn't BIG on musicals, one of her favorites is RENT
- Melissa is pretty expressive, like if you tell her the most out of pocket shit you can tell she's shocked
- She loves talking to her cat, Cassie, as if she were an actual person. She does this with all of Charlotte's cats too (Charlotte has cats. If you disagree, fight me [I'm kidding please don't.])
- She has a lot of videos saved on her phone, and most of them is just chaos happening around the office
- While we don't see her on screen long enough to see how she got infected in TGWDLM, I do have an idea: She was originally going to escape with Charlotte, Bill, and Ted, but she was found by Mr. Davidson before she could get away
- Shocked I haven't mentioned this one, but she has an upsidedown heart shaped birthmark on her thigh
- Melissa is 100% ambidextrous, and I refuse to think otherwise

next chapter is here!
"How do you know a firefighter as well?" Ciara asked as Cassie stood on tiptoe to knock on the door. "Wait, were you caught in a fire?! Did they save you?"
"No, nothing like that!" Cassie giggled. "She's a family friend, that's all. And she said she needed some help wrapping presents for the gift exchange at the fire station."
The door opened, and a tall, muscular woman opened the door. Her blonde hair was cropped, and her eyes were bright blue. "Cassie! Hi!"
"Hi Maura!" Cassie waved up at the woman, gesturing to Ciara. "This is Ciara! She's gonna help as well!"
"How thoughtful!" The woman clapped Cassie on the back, gesturing her in. “We need all the help we can get. I don’t know why I thought it was a good idea to take on the job of wrapping all the presents for White Elephant this year.”
“What’s White Elephant again?” A small voice shouted from inside the apartment. Ciara looked into the apartment, finding three girls sitting in the middle of the living room. Two looked to be twins, with matching blonde and blue hairstyles. The other one was taller, with long shaggy hair akin to a mane. The twins looked around seven, while the other girl looked about eight.
“Hi you three!” Cassie said, bending down to look at all of them. “Ciara, this is Solana, Luna, and Liona. Guys, this is my new friend Ciara.”
“Hi!!” The tallest girl—Liona—waved enthusiastically. “You’re here to help out with presents too?”
“Uh, yeah.” Ciara was spending a lot of time with kids lately. Perhaps Cassie was just a magnet for children, the kids being drawn in by her kindness and sincerity.
“We’re going to help too!” Solana—or was it Luna? They seemed to be identical twins—piped up. “By playing music!”
“I see!” Cassie nodded along. Ciara leaned over to her.
“Which twin is which?” She whispered as the twins scrambled to get their iPads out. “Sorry, I genuinely can’t tell.”
“The one wearing yellow is Solana,” Cassie whispered back. Maura ruffled Solana’s head as she walked by her to get the numerous unwrapped boxes. “And the one wearing blue is Luna.”
“Ah.” Now that Ciara looked closer, Solana was wearing a sun hair clip and Luna was wearing a moon hair clip. She couldn’t fault some on point theming.
“Where’s Papa?” Liona asked, pulling at Maura’s sleeve. “He said he would be here soon.”
“Your papa is out getting some more wrapping paper.” Maura struggled to dislodge a particularly misshapen box from the pile, and Cassie went to help her. “Because I severely underestimated how much I would need.”
“Are they all yours?” Ciara asked as she knelt to help secure the box. "The kids, I mean."
"Hm? Oh, no." For a second, Ciara feared she had gravely offended the woman, but Maura laughed and waved at the twins. "Only these two are my children. Liona's father is a good friend of mine, that's why he's coming to help out."
"I'm helping!" Liona said cheerfully, carrying three rolls of wrapping paper. "Ms. Kinloch, which paper do you think looks the prettiest?"
Maura surveys the three options before her. Ciara steps over the box to look as well, Cassie doing the same. There's red paper with candy canes, green paper with trees, and blue paper with snowflakes.
"I think I rather like the blue paper," Maura says, taking the roll of wrapping paper from Liona. "You don't mind if I use it, do you?"
Liona giggles. "Use it! Use it!"
Maura got to work wrapping the oddly shaped box—a large neck pillow—while Cassie worked on a box of blankets. Ciara took a stack of the entire Percy Jackson series.
"Who likes Percy Jackson this much in your fire station?" Ciara asked, deftly securing the paper in place with tape. "This seems like a pretty expensive Christmas gift."
"It was my suggestion!" Luna exclaimed. "Everyone should read Percy Jackson!
"We watched the TV show!" Solana added. "We really liked the goat guy!"
"Grover, right?" Cassie asked, pausing in her gift wrapping. "The satyr!"
"Does he like eating grass, cause he's part goat?" Liona asked, now rearranging the bows and ribbons in various patterns.
"Actually, that's kind of a thing in the books," Ciara said, briefly pausing to pull out her phone and search it up. "He eats tin cans and scrap metal."
"Ew! How do you even eat metal?" Solana made a disgusted face, sticking her tongue out.
"You chew it really hard," Luna declared, slapping a bow down on the finished neck pillow box.
"Should we rewatch the TV show?" Cassie asked, looking towards all three children.
"Yeah! Let's!" All three children chorused, and so Maura made her way over to turn on the TV. The opening music of the Percy Jackson show began to play, and Ciara was reminded of the time she binged the entire TV show instead of doing her AP Psychology homework.
"Let's get to work, yeah?" Maura asked.
"Yeah!"
-
After an hour or so, a knock sounded at the door. "I'll get it!" Ciara shouted, seeing the hordes of wrapping paper and boxes blocking everyone else's way, and so she stood to open the door.
She opened the door to find a very tall, very mustached man. For a second, she almost thought he was a bear taken human form.
"Uh, hello?" She asked timidly. The man nodded.
"Hello," The man said, in a thick Scottish accent. "Is Maura in there?"
"Papa!" Liona shouted, tripping over a tape dispenser in order to make her way to her father. "There you are!"
"Hello, dearest." The man picked up the girl, ruffling her hair. "You been good while I was away?"
"Uh huh!" Liona pointed towards the TV, right as Percy Jackson swung his sword to behead Medusa. "We've been watching the Percy Jackson show!"
"I see." The man nodded, shifting his bag of wrapping paper to his other arm in order to carry his daughter. "Well, I'm here to help now. Russell needed some help with repairing one of the signs on the hiking trail, but I’m here now."
"Yay!"
"Hi, Darius!" Maura said cheerfully from the floor. "Just in time, yeah?"
The man—Darius—dropped his bag of wrapping paper on the ground, gently setting his daughter down as well. "Got any room for another?"
"Yes, please," Maura sighed, looking towards the total amount of presents that she and the children had wrapped—four presents. Ciara looked at her pile—seven presents—and then looked at Cassie's pile—eleven presents.
“How do you do that so fast?” Ciara asked in amazement.
“Magic,” Cassie said, with jazz hands to accompany it.
“How are the snakes coming along?” Darius asked as he took out another roll of wrapping paper to replace the roll they had used up.
“That reminds me!” Maura went to stand up, before realizing that a box was nestled in her lap. “I forgot to feed them!”
“I’ve got you, no worries.” Darius lifted a terrarium from a kitchen shelf, setting it down on the kitchen countertop.
“You have snakes too?” Ciara asked, craning her neck to try and see the snakes. From what she could see, the snakes were a bright blue. “What are their names?”
“Hydi and Draga!” Luna said, standing up to look at the snakes. “They were a birthday gift for Mama!”
“They’re twins, just like us!” Solana put her hand in the terrarium, giggling when one of the snakes reached its head up to muzzle her hand.
“Well, we should be able to wrap this up soon, aye?” Darius said as he sat down. “We need to go pick up Aslan from his Cub Scouts activities soon.”
“Who’s Aslan?” Ciara asked, immediately thinking of the lion from the Narnia Chronicles.
“My little brother!” Liona waved her hands around excitedly. “He just started Cub Scouts!”
“Addie is a Cub Scouts member, right?” Solana asked, now rummaging through her pantry, presumably for snacks.
“Addie’s their older sister,” Cassie explained for Ciara’s benefit.
“No, she’s a Girl Scouts member! Cause she’s big!” Luna stretched her arms up, as if to demonstrate how big her sister is. “She’s fourteen!”
“Well, we best get to work, hm?” Darius expertly wrapped a present in a couple of swift movements. “Wouldn’t want to be late to either of their meetings.”
“Yeah!” The kids looked towards Ciara and Cassie. “You’re working hard, right?”
Ciara locked eyes with Cassie. They both nodded in determination. They still had a pile of presents to get through.
“Yeah!”
A detail that I didn’t get to include: I picture all the kids as being adopted. Also I 100% chose the name Aslan for Leo Minor as a Narnia reference.

Cassidy Joan Landry (Yellowjackets OC)
Name: Cassidy Joan Landry
Nicknames: Joan/Joanie (dad), Cas (teammates), Cassidy (mom), CJ (some of the teammates/Coach Ben), Chatty Cassie (Misty)
Description: 5’ 1.5 (she’s really attached to that half inch), long, wavy red hair, gray-blue eyes, fair-skinned with freckles that appear more the longer she’s in the sun, slightly curvy in build, average weight for her height
Age: 18
Pronouns: she/her
Sexuality: starts off thinking she’s straight, but quickly discovers she’s bi once she’s in the wilderness
Animal symbol: Wolf (in-depth story around this, more to come)
Fun facts/general:
Most of her clothes actually belonged to her mother when she was in her 20s. Almost all of them were handmade by her dad, and he also kept them in the divorce so that Cas would have them someday
Eric, though he never would put a name to it when asked, practiced Appalachian folk magic and taught Cas a lot of the philosophy and teachings that accompany that. After his and her dad’s deaths she blocked out a lot of it to save her from being in constant misery, but as it becomes more and more relevant in the wilderness, she begins to recall and understand it, as well as question whether it can really apply in a land where it’s not meant to be.
If Cas’ mom wasn’t so invested in her cheerleading, Cas would actually like it a lot more. She really enjoys being physically active, especially activities that require core strength and technical skill (remnants of her love of climbing trees as a feral child). She even had a few opportunities to make friends there, but grief and bitterness kept her from taking them, and the other girls very quickly stopped trying.
Cas’ double name was half picked out by each birth parent, and they each called her the according name. Her father (and Eric) always called her Joan or Joanie, while her mother insisted on Cassidy, nothing more, nothing less. After her dads’ deaths, Cas can’t bear to be called Joan anymore, and Cassidy only makes her think of her mom, so she tries very, very hard to switch to Cas or CJ, to varying success.
Pre-Crash: Cas was the product of a shotgun marriage. Her father was from south Louisiana and her mother from a well-to-do family in New Jersey. They met in college and, upon graduating, took to traveling the country. Cas’ mother calls this their “hippie” youth, and it was during this time that she became pregnant with Cas. But around Cas’ third birthday, they divorced, and Cas’ father wanted majority custody while Cas’ mom was more than content to let him have everything except Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. So Cas grew up something of a feral child in north Louisiana, where her dad settled down on family land he inherited. Most of the land was undeveloped, so she learned to forage, hunt, and appreciate the earth through her father’s hobbies and teachings. Around the time Cas turned nine, her father met Eric, a handsome, slightly younger man from east Tennessee that he started a relationship with. They kept it private due to the times, under the guise of business partners (a vague but good enough excuse), and Cas quickly grew to love this part of her life, too. Eric was a musician and taught Cas everything she knows about string instruments, folk songs, and singing. Cas’ dad and surrogate second father loved to hike together, and while they often took Cas along with them, every year for their anniversary they would take a trip that was just the two of them. When Cas was 17, her fathers went off on a hike to Yellowstone late in the season. But tragedy struck, and neither came home when they were expected. Searches ensued, and Cas moved in with her mother during the interim. Just when they were about to lose hope, it was discovered that Cas’ fathers had been lost in an avalanche off any documented trails and missing all of their equipment by miles. The case became mildly famous as one of those unexplainable national parks incidents. But Cas, now permanently in the custody of her mother, lost access to her land, her childhood home, and was forced to move to New Jersey and attend Wiskayok High, where her mother had gone years before. Cas joined the cheerleading team at the start of her senior year, per her mother’s request, just as she had done and so that Cas would be forced to have some social interaction and not isolate herself like she clearly preferred. Cas was, actually, quite gifted in cheer, one of the most skilled flyers, but a team that’s been together for four years doesn’t have much room for new talent, and she was coldly ostracized, even if not outright bullied by her team.
Not really the content I imagined posting first but it's about all I've written thus far, even if it was just supposed to be for myself. But I love oc's and interacting with others' oc's, so I figured why the hell not? Anyways, more to come mostly pertaining to the wilderness. Still haven't decided if she makes it to the adult timeline. No face claim yet either, just vibes. Enjoy!

Tell me everything about zombie AU now
whoo boy theres a lot
EVERYONE IS HUMAN BTW!! (unless i say otherwise)
William Afton, a famous doctor known for creating incredible cures, makes something regrettable. A virus. It wasn't 100% unintentional. He was experimenting, the outcome was born from curiosity. Then, it got out somehow and began infecting people.
His three kids were at home alone when it happened (William works pretty far away, and was staying out of town for a few days) they fled and decided their best bet was to find their father in hopes he could make a cure. easier said than done.
On the way, they meet Dave Miller (NOT WILLIAM), who isn't all that he seems. Michael doesn't trust him, but he wins over the younger Aftons immediately. it doesnt help that evan especially is close with dave, considering evan doesnt trust/like mike.
Meanwhile, Ballora Afton is living her best life when the virus hit. She managed to escape her packed city and hid at a school, where she found six kids.
Charlie, Cassidy, Jeremy, Fritz, Susie, and Gabriel.
She decides to protect them.
Then William finds the school too, seeing it as a good place to hide, and is face-to-face with his ex wife and six different children.
One of which is Henry's.
William has been unable to contact Henry recently, and assumes he is dead.
Which means Charlie is alone. So he decides to stick with Ballora and the kids.
As for the three star fam, they were together when it hit, but circumstances seperated Gregory and Vanessa from Freddy. They find Cassie and Roxy, their friends, and they help them.
in a series of unfortunate events, they are killed. possibly.
they eventually find evan, badly injured and all alone, and take him in. Gregory helps him out, and they take care of him. after he explains his situation to them, they agree to help him find his dad (he thinks mike and lizzie r both dead)
at the same time, william and the kids attempt to escape the school. turns out thats not so easy. theres a lot of people around them.
of course, someone was gonna get bit. that someone was charlie.
cassidy tries to save her friend, but william forcefully pulls her away, saying charlie is a lost cause. cassidy is upset iwth him over this and harbors a lot of anger over it.
(That's not the end of charlie btw >:3)
after they finally escape, they wander looking for supplies and stumble across mike, exhausted and unconscious and hurt, and william is overjoyed to see him, but his siblings are missing.
michael does not elaborate.
eventually, ness greg and evan meet up with will ballora mike and the mci kids. and elizabeth comes back in her own special way
for now, everything else is a secret/not planned. have the refs for the afton kids + dave
the masks are from dave (except michael's.)

In the panel where Empress is mis-labeled as a villain, is that also Fite 'n Maad? Are they considered villains/adversaries of Young Justice? Or did. They literally only get one villain right there with Harm?
LMAO YEAH. Let's... let's break this panel down:
(Dark Crisis: Young Justice #4)
Looming in the background we've got Mickey Mxyzptlk who is the figure causing the trouble the boys are stuck in at this moment, right before his proper reveal. He's a villain, but as a new character introduced for this book, he's not a pre-established villain Young Justice has faced (though Young Justice did go against his father). However, considering he's not one of the proper figures depicted here and rather this ghostly figure behind the clouds, the 'our villains' line likely wasn't meant to be including him anyways.
Top left we've got Billy Hayes/Harm, Greta's brother (despite... Greta herself, a member of Young Justice, not showing up in this book at all outside of variant covers) and he is absolutely a villain that Young Justice went up against more than once.
Top right we've got Anita Fite/Empress, who is a member of Young Justice herself. Her initial appearances were as a mysterious figure popping up around the team, but one of her very first actions in the book was literally saving Cassie after she'd been injured, and she very quickly joins the team. She is a hero, and in no way a villain.
Bottom left & right i'm gonna group together, because you're right that is Fite 'n Maad/Donald Fite & Ishido Maad. As a duo of A.P.E.S. agents, early on they frequently butted heads with Young Justice and served as occasional antagonists in the more literary definition of the term, as a 'force that opposes the protagonists'. But they're absolutely not villains—especially after the point that Anita, Donald's daughter, joins the team.
Then front & center is the one that makes me laugh the most. The character depicted here is Baron Bedlam, who is a villain... but he is not Young Justice's villain. Now, the thing is, Young Justice does have a villain named Matthew Stuart/Bedlam, from one of their earliest stories JLA: World Without Grown-Ups (and later the follow-up story World Without Young Justice).
So like, this is clearly an art error. I'd almost guarantee the original script given to the artist mentioned 'Bedlam' as one of the characters to appear on the panel, and the artist googled 'Bedlam Young Justice' (a reasonable enough thing to google when looking for a reference) BUT because of the Young Justice cartoon which bears little if any resemblance to anything from the comics and did feature Baron Bedlam as a character... this is what comes up:
And so that character got used for a reference instead of the actual correct Bedlam for when dealing with the comics Young Justice team. And for some reason... nobody on editorial caught it before it went to print/at some earlier stage in the art process, or at least nobody thought it was important enough to fix. Which is... wild to me.
But anyways, yes, you are correct in saying Harm is the only villain they actually got right here.
#sam explains#ignore that i fucked up my lefts & rights when i initially posted this. I May Be Stupid
