It's 10+ years in your sims future. Where are they at that time compared to where they are right now in your story?
Ok... so, I may have had a little too much fun with this one, and now I can't wait for li'l Aspen to be a child!!! 🥹🧡
Hi! My name is Aspen, but most people call me Annie, and I’m ten-and-a-half years old.
My mom is a Director at the Dreamer Foundation (whatever that means). And my dad is the Mayor of San Myshuno. They both work a lot. A LOT. I spend most days after school at home alone. Well, not alone alone. My dog, Pepper, is here with me. We play and go for walks. She’s really smart too. My uncle Asher is teaching me how to train her. She already knows how to sit and lay down. Next, I’m going to teach her how to roll over. Asher has a dog too. Her name is Pixel and she’s so cute! Pixel and Pepper are best friends! My best friend is Mei. She’s been my best friend since before I knew the word “best friend”. At least, that’s what my mom says.
Sometimes on the weekends Atlas, Asher, Pixel, Pepper, and me will all go to the Bay to visit Grandma Megan and Grandpa Alex. I love their house! It’s right by the ocean and has the biggest backyard I’ve ever seen! My cousin Spencer lives there too with her mom and stepdad. She’s a teenager, and she’s really cool. She has lots of friends and a boyfriend (but that’s a secret, so don’t tell anyone I told you), and she’s a songwriter. Her and Grandpa Alex are trying to teach me how to play the guitar, but it’s really hard and I’m not very good at it. Sometimes I need a break, so I’ll help Grandma Megan with her plants. She’s teaching me all about plants and flowers and herbs. One day I’m going to have a great big garden!
We always make it back home on Sunday because that’s when me and dad make dinner for everyone. It’s my favorite time of every week! My favorite thing to make is stuffed peppers. We buy them in every color. My favorite is the orange ones. Uncle Atlas likes the green ones. Ew!
Tonight, we were supposed to make risotto, but dad hasn’t come home yet. Mom says he’s stuck at work, but he never works late on Sundays. It’s our night. Atlas said he’d help me make the risotto, but I didn’t want to cook with him. I wanted to cook with my dad. I got really mad and ran to my room and locked the door. I’m not letting anyone in until he gets home. But it’s almost ten o’clock. I'm supposed to be asleep and my tummy is grumbling.
I hope he gets home soon…
#TYSM for the ask!!!#this was so much fun!!#so many spoilers in there#and of course i couldn't resist a cliffhanger#lynzi answers#aries outtakes#aspen realta#pepper realta

Living Weapon Whumpee part 7
Warnings: touch starvation, forced living weapon/fighter, torture, knife whump, captive living weapon
AHHHHH this is literally so many posts in one day! 😱😱 but everyone keeps wanting more and I'd feel bad if I left you all on a cliffhanger!!
And what was a little more pain, after everything he'd been through as Weapon? He could surely handle it… right…?
Whumpee clenched his jaw hard as Flint pressed the tip of the serrated blade into his side, piercing through the bandage located right below his ribs. The general paused there for a moment, eyebrow raised meaningfully, giving Whumpee a chance to cave. But he pushed it further into his flesh when Whumpee chose silence, earning a sharp inhale from the restrained weapon.
The sharp metal dug deep into Whumpee's bullet wound, and at first he managed to breathe through the pain, taking it with composure, but when Flint took it out and moved to another spot, he couldn't help a low groan. The dagger hurt even more coming out than going in, the serrations easily sliding through his flesh.
A few more cuts and Whumpee started to writhe, keening whines escaping him as the pain intensified.
Every few injuries Flint would repeat his question, each time being met with resistance from Whumpee.
It must have gone on for at least half an hour before Whumpee finally began screaming. Still not talking, just screaming and wailing every time he was cut open again. He didn't beg, didn't plead, knowing it was futile. All he could do was cry out as he was tortured.
Four hours in, and Whumpee truly wished he would die. His whole body was a vessel of blazing agony, blood sliding down his skin in scarlet rivulets to pool at his feet, hitching breaths making his chest heave.
And the fifth hour he crumpled, his legs unable to support him anymore against the excruciating pain setting every nerve on fire. Only the cuffs on his wrists kept him up. And finally, Whumpee broke, gave Flint the location of Leader's base. He just wanted the pain to stop.
"Thank you," Flint acknowledged simply, wiping Whumpee's blood off his hands with a small towel he'd brought. "And what are your Leader's plans for his next attack?"
Whumpee couldn't help a choked sob at that, trembling violently all over. Of course there would be more questions. He should have seen it coming. But unlike before, there was no fight left in Whumpee, no fear of Leader that would keep him from spilling all the secrets just for a single moment of rest. He was too desperate, such a spectacularly human emotion coming from the living weapon.
Flint wrote down notes on everything on a small pad of paper, recording each and every one of Whumpee's answers as the weapon hung shivering in the chains.
Whumpee thought he would never stop being peppered by questions, but finally, they stopped coming, and he almost cried in sheer relief.
"Much obliged, Weapon," Flint said once he was finished. "I'll send the medics in to patch you up shortly. I'm going to have to put the muzzle back on though for their safety and comfort." He scooped up the muzzle from the floor, cautiously approaching the bleeding Whumpee, whose eyes flicked up, full of unbridled terror.
"No... No more pain?" Whumpee rasped in confusion, voice ruined from screaming.
Flint frowned. "I got what I wanted. What reason would I have to keep hurting you? It would be pointless."
The general was even more of an enigma now. Whumpee couldn't figure him out. Leader would have beaten him to within an inch of life before stopping, no matter how much Whumpee surrendered and complied. But Flint wasn't like Leader, apparently. He only used the amount of force necessary to achieve his goals, nothing more. He didn't inflict pain for the joy of it.
"Wait," Whumpee whispered, and Flint paused with the muzzle in hand, raising an eyebrow. “Is… she okay? The girl?” he swallowed dryly.
“My daughter? Yes, she's fine. A bit shaken up after you attacked me, but physically okay.”
Whumpee nodded gratefully, but flinched when Flint brought the leather up to his face. He didn't fight or struggle as the muzzle was fitted snugly and tightened around his head, leaving him voiceless once more.
"You are a prisoner here, Weapon, but I do not intend to harm you any more than necessary, if it's any reassurance," Flint said as he stepped away. "As long as you comply, there is no need for you to suffer."
The relief crashed over Whumpee in a tidal wave. No one had ever told him they weren't going to hurt him before. In fact, most people enjoyed it. He clung fiercely to the general's words, desperately wanting to believe them.
Flint turned and walked out of the room, leaving Whumpee alone in silence. When the door opened again, two young women in full medical clothes came in, each carrying medical bags. Whumpee wasn't sure if Flint would actually send the medics he'd promised, so he was mildly surprised to see them.
The woman approached slowly and cautiously, eyeing the injured weapon nervously as they dug into their bags and brought out various medical supplies. And Whumpee couldn't blame them for that fear, after everything he'd done. He was a monster capable of so much destruction.
One woman removed the old dressings covering his various bullet wounds that were now soaked with blood from the fresh gashes Flint himself had opened. It made Whumpee shudder as the material peeled away from his sticky skin. But what came after was far worse, as an antiseptic mixture was poured into each wound to sterilize it and prevent infection.
There was no way Whumpee could possibly stay composed through the burning agony that worked its way deep into each raw injury after that, and he threw his head back and screamed into the muzzle, the sound heavily muffled.
Another ragged wail tore loose from him as the second woman got to work stitching up the wounds the first girl had cleaned and sterilized, working with needle and thread in careful, precise movements. Whumpee wasn't given any painkillers, and it was a whole new form of torture to endure this.
Whumpee was breathing hard through his nose when the Medics were finally finished, sweaty and trembling as he watched the woman wordlessly pack up their supplies and leave. They switched off the light, plunging the whole room into total darkness. Whumpee guessed it must be nighttime.
He tried so hard to rest, but it was practically impossible in the stress position the chains and cuffs kept him in. They pulled on his arms and shoulders, making them ache and cramp.

This was too good. Couldn't resist. Here's the short nonsense fluffy ficlet this artwork inspired. Thank you @discessio !! ❤️
Title: Misstep (crap title, I know)
Pairing: Merlin/Arthur
Warning: sappy, fluffy, cliffhanger, unbetaed
Wordcount: 1377
The first time it happens is by complete accident, Merlin can swear it on his mother’s life. Well, it’s an accident that turns into an opportunity, really. Let’s say it’s half-accident, half-neediness. And let’s keep Merlin’s mother out of it.
What’s for certain is that the first time it happens, it’s definitely not on purpose. Merlin doesn’t engineer it. He simply reacts instinctively and freezes the course of time in order to avoid the loud, inevitable clatter of the falling tray. Arthur’s still fast asleep and Merlin knows the prince’s sleep has been a little elusive over the past few weeks, so really he stops time for all the right reasons.
He picks the suspended goblet, plate and cutlery from their arrested tumble, mid-air. Accident averted. Gaius wouldn’t be happy with this, but again, at no point did Merlin actually think it through. He merely reacted. There’s a surreptitious lick of unease down his back as he realises he is somewhat playing with fire here.
But Merlin wants to concentrate on the positive outcome – Arthur’s uninterrupted and much-needed sleep.
In a rare show of self-indulgence, Merlin stands by the bed for a moment, gazing at his prince. His sweet, brave, arrogant prince who’s such an insufferable clotpole but also the most important person in Merlin’s world. The most aggravatingly beloved man in Merlin’s guarded heart. The most forbidden idol in Merlin’s unmentionable fantasies.
Merlin blinks himself out of his nebulous and slightly lascivious thoughts.
And finally realises he hasn’t unfrozen time, lost in contemplation of the darling bane of his existence as he was. It’s just that Arthur is so pretty when he’s asleep, all tousled blonde hair and soft lips and peaceful features. It’s such a rare occurrence to be able to look upon him being so care-free and utterly safe.
Merlin releases the flow of time.
And immediately wishes he’d used the suspended pause to stroke Arthur’s hair.
Merlin gets to touch Arthur in many rather intimate ways throughout the day, but he’s never been at liberty to simply indulge in a fond ruffle or a gentle caress – for obvious reasons. He’s always wished he could. He can’t help it. He’s a tactile kind of person, though it may not seem like it. To him, touch is a crucial, under-used language that conveys love and affection like nothing else can. And he finds there’s never enough of it in his life. He’s made his peace with it. It is what it is.
But he wishes he’d thought of reaching out and stroking Arthur’s hair while time was frozen. No one would’ve been the wiser, yet it would’ve meant so much to him.
Merlin presses his lips into a resigned line and resumes his morning duties, delivering the offending tray safely to the table.
And that’s the first time it happens. Complete accident. Missed opportunity. Bittersweet musings.
The second time it happens… Merlin’s again caught wrong-footed. The knife that’s just slipped off the plate is about to stab through his boot, and so everything stops for the almighty warlock. Merlin huffs an annoyed breath, puts down the plate and grabs the suspended knife. The damn thing is sharp and heavy as hell, and Merlin scowls at the hole it would’ve punctured into his boot – and possibly his foot.
And then he realises he’s done it again. Caught Arthur in the bubble of frozen time. He should feel terrible – and he does – but he also feels something else. Like, just a frisson of euphoria. A guilty thrill of elation at being given a second chance.
His hand shakes just a tiny bit as he places the forgotten knife on the bedside table, but he then takes a steadying breath and turns to the bed’s occupant.
The prince is arrested in slumber, slack-jawed and slightly drooling on the pillow, and alright, he looks more ridiculous than dashing right now, but it is this very vulnerability that makes the knight so absurdly dear to Merlin.
Merlin reaches out and his fingertips brush, feather-soft, over the tangled blonde mess of hair. It feels wonderful. Intimate. Illicit. There are shameless butterflies dancing in Merlin’s belly as his fingers caress their treasure. He pushes an errant strand this way and then that way in search of ultimate perfection, as he probably would if Arthur were his. Something in him trembles at the forward gesture.
But enough with these stollen familiarities. Merlin shakes himself out of his tender thoughts and releases time.
And Arthur gives an undignified snore.
The third time it happens… Well, much to Merlin’s own unease, the third time is deliberate. Nothing to startle him, no impending jarring threat, no excuse whatsoever. It’s just that… today was a close call and Merlin truly thought he’d failed his destiny and his prince, and Arthur looked so deathly pale as the poison crawled through his veins, and so now Merlin needs a bit of quiet time alone with the unwitting other half of his soul.
He just wants to look at him. He won’t touch Arthur, he promises himself sternly. It feels too terribly good to touch him – as well as a little wrong.
And so he freezes the course of time, and it feels odd and strained because he seldom does this voluntarily. His magic itches and writhes in discomfort but obeys, and now he can look his fill.
Arthur is still awfully pale and there’s a sheen of sweat dewing his face and throat. One that spreads to his shoulders and upper chest – and Merlin isn’t strictly touching him, just lifting a corner of the covers to check that the bandage hasn’t slipped. But Arthur’s alive. He’s safe now. And Gods, Merlin wishes he could touch him, if only to ground himself and chase the residual fear that lurks within his battered little heart. Just a caressing sweep of his thumb over the crook of the shoulder would do it. A reassurance. An offering. A blessing.
But Merlin has promised himself he wouldn’t touch and he wants to prove to himself that he has a measure of self-control and a modicum of decency. That he’s not one of those sorcerers who abuse their powers. The cover flops back down and Arthur is left to recover in peace.
The fourth time... Alas, there’s no good excuse for the fourth time. It’s the middle of the night and there’s something dreadfully fragile and needy to Arthur’s moans as he struggles with a nightmare. The prince’s chest is bare and heaving, his hands clutching and clenching, his whole sturdy frame restless in the throes of a distressing dream. And truly, Merlin has no other choice. He can’t just stand there and watch and do nothing. He kneels on the bed behind Arthur and leans over him, bracing a light hand on Arthur’s hip while the other rests on the headboard.
“It’s all right,” he murmurs very gently. “You’re all right, Arthur.” And before he can honestly help himself, he’s brushing a soft, tender, timid kiss over Arthur’s damp cheek.
He’s so anxious to make all the bad things go away for his beloved prince. So selflessly ready to do anything and everything to spare his beloved prince any ache of any kind. So damn in love with the clotpole and so unable to exorcise it any other way. The gentle rub of his lips over Arthur’s cheek feels pure and wanton, and tremors of pitiful bliss shimmer though him, miserable wretch that he is.
Which is when Arthur shifts beneath him, tilting his head up for more.
It is at this precise juncture that Merlin, this untold genius, becomes aware of two things.
First, it is not a nightmare. The dream is of a completely different nature, and it is not anguish that strains at Arthur’s features and rocks his body, it is lustful hunger – as the grunt of pleasure confirms.
Second, Merlin forgot to suspend the course of time. He is therefore kneeling over Arthur – pressing a kiss to the man’s cheek, for fuck’s sake – while the prince is having a very natural, very private and very pleasant dream. In real time.
Arthur opens blurry, confused eyes, gazing straight up into Merlin’s blinking, confounded ones.
Now this should be fun to explain.

✭ pairing : Rusty Nail x reader
✭ fandom : joyride
✭ summary : (m/n) always follow along to what rusty says, no matter how bad it may be
✭ authors note : I’ve never done a rusty nail fic before and I haven’t watched the movie in a hot minute :) I also had no clue if you wanted a smut story or not normally when I think of bottoms I think of submissive people like myself ooh and it’s sort of a cliffhanger so you all can choose your fate
✭ slasher masterlist
The flickering neon lights of the roadside motel cast an eerie glow on the empty parking lot. Inside one of the rooms, Rusty Nail, the infamous highway killer, sat on the edge of the bed. His piercing blue eyes scanned the room, anticipation simmering beneath his rugged exterior.
Beside him, (m/n) fidgeted nervously, his submissive demeanor evident in every movement. He was a young man, with soft features and an innocence that seemed to draw Rusty Nail in like a magnet. (m/n) had always been drawn to strong, dominant partners, and in Rusty Nail, he found someone who commanded his attention in ways he had never experienced before.
Rusty Nail, older and more experienced, was a man of few words. He exuded a commanding presence that (m/n) found irresistible. From the moment they met, Rusty Nail had taken charge, and (m/n) had willingly surrendered to his every whim. He was always happy to help his older boyfriend, eager to please him in any way he could.
Tonight, Rusty Nail had a plan. He had received a mysterious message, a thrill-inducing invitation that promised excitement and danger. It was an opportunity he couldn't resist, and he knew that (m/n) would be right by his side, ready to assist him in whatever twisted endeavors awaited them.
As Rusty Nail rose from the bed, his tall frame cast a shadow over (m/n). With an affectionate smile, he reached out and gently brushed his fingers across (m/n)'s cheek, causing a shiver to run down his spine. "We're about to have some fun, my love," Rusty Nail whispered, his voice filled with a mix of excitement and authority.
(m/n) nodded, his eyes shining with adoration. "I'm ready, Rusty. I'll do anything you need me to do."
Rusty Nail's lips curved into a satisfied smirk. He knew he had found the perfect partner, someone who would willingly follow him into the depths of darkness. He took (m/n)'s hand, intertwining their fingers, and led him towards the door. As they stepped out into the night, the sound of a revving engine filled the air.
A dark truck awaited them in the parking lot, its engine growling with untamed power. Rusty Nail opened the passenger door and motioned for (m/n) to climb in. (m/n) obeyed without hesitation, excitement coursing through his veins.
As Rusty Nail climbed up and slid into the driver's seat, he turned to (m/n) and fixed him with an intense gaze. "Remember, (m/n), I'm in control. You just follow along like the good little boy you are.”
(m/n) nodded, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear and desire. He had never felt more alive than in this moment, with Rusty Nail by his side, ready to lead him on a twisted and thrilling adventure.
With a roar of the engine, the truck sped off into the night, leaving the motel and its secrets behind.
The night air whipped through the open windows of Rusty Nail's speeding truck as he chased down the drivers who had dared to prank call him on the truck microphone. The malicious laughter that had echoed through the speakers had set a rage off within him, and now he was on a mission to teach them a lesson they would never forget.
Beside him, (m/n) held on tight, his heart pounding with a mix of fear and excitement. This was far beyond anything he had ever experienced before, but the thrill of the chase surged through his veins. He trusted Rusty implicitly, knowing that he would protect him and lead him to victory.
The headlights of the pranksters' car flickered in the distance, their taunting presence growing closer with each passing moment. Rusty Nail's grip tightened on the steering wheel, his eyes narrowing with determination. He had a plan, and he was ready to execute it flawlessly.
As they closed in on the pranksters, the adrenaline pumping through their veins reached its peak. Rusty Nail's voice cut through the rush of wind, his command firm and unwavering. "Hold on tight, (m/n). We're about to make them pay for their foolishness."
(m/n) nodded, his heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. He trusted Rusty Nail completely, knowing that he would protect him no matter what. As the gap between the two cars narrowed, a mischievous smile played on (m/n)'s lips. He was ready to help Rusty Nail in any way he could.
With a swift maneuver, Rusty Nail expertly closed the distance between their truck and the pranksters' vehicle. The sound of screeching tires filled the air as he skillfully kept up with them, never losing sight of his target. The chase had turned into a dangerous game of cat and mouse, and Rusty Nail was determined to emerge as the victor.
(m/n) leaned in closer to Rusty Nail, his voice filled with excitement. "I have an idea, Rusty.”
Rusty Nail glanced at (m/n) and a wicked grin spread across his face. "What did you have in mind baby boy?”

Elnor ramble (My Crackship)
Okay so imma explain this bullshit ship I came up with that's so least likely to happen at all in the sonic universe. Konor x Prince Elias is the ship in question. First off who are they in sonic! Konor is a thug that works for fang the sniper and kidnaps princess Sally, they get sent to prison in the end and eventually die by food poisoning caused by fang. Elias is a prince and eventually king of the Kingdom of acorn, and Sally's brother, who we leave off in a cliffhanger when Archie got rebooted where he tries to get his crown back from evil wizard naugus.
These two have never met
Ya still with me here? Kay cool, so why ship them? Especially since fuckin Konor helped to kidnap his own sister in the comic! Well I got two reasons why this suddenly happen, number one: my Elias and Konor are different from their Archie counterparts, Konor has more of a personality and doesn't die, and Elias is more of a missing prince that's just assumed dead and is never thought to be found. Their stories are completely different but still remain sorta to their roles in the Archie comic, Konor is still a troublemaker, and Elias is still royalty. Number two: shower thoughts be damned, I was planning Elias during that lol, I was listing off things, like how Elias has a bad sense of directions and always gets lost, being in the most bizarre areas. Or how he calls himself a hero prince, leaping Into action to help people without a second thought. And lastly, I decided to make him gay, yes in Archie he's married to a nice lady but he just gave me main anime protag vibes and gay energy I couldn't resist.
Now who else did I give gay energy? Oh yeah Konor, and that's when it clicked. I made two Archie characters have a gay trait and that immediately made me hook them together. But that's not all! The trope also gives a good dynamic. My Konor has more personality than his 'just evil thug' Archie counter part, he's shy, hesitant to do things, and stresses out a ton, but when it comes to miss Nic or his brothers, he throws it all aside to defend them. So you basically have a brave hero royal who doesn't back down from a fight, with a shy thug who's afraid of a ton of things and doesn't like fighting. Put them together and you get a hero royal trying to protect an outcast scaredy cat, it's absolutely great and I loved it once I put it together.
Would they clash based on their different roles and such? yes of course, but at the end of the day, they get through it and act like a fuckin anime Rom com, going through dangerous adventures together and being Fuckin cute. Maybe even a part were Nic, Karl, and Jeff, give Elias a set of quest to prove if he's worthy of being with Konor! The brain rot be going BRRRR.
But that's all for now! Maybe later I'll show more art of this unlikely duo or type more nonsense, if you read all this, thank you I appreciate it :] and now you understand why I draw them together lol xD
#luna's shenanigans#elias acorn#konor the weasel#Elnor#my brain coming up with these crackships bro#idk if my IQ is high or low xD#my crackship

*the end*

"For your information, I am very against this."
"I thought you were looking forward to starting your training."
You glare at Namjoon when he makes the snide comment, and he has to struggle to keep his smile hidden at the reaction. Pouting in your chair, the stylist has to press her hand on your back to remind you to sit straight. At your reluctance, Namjoon's smile only grows and you struggle to ignore the rise of adoration in your chest.
Rolling your eyes you turn to your reflection in the mirror.
You're nearly unrecognizable.
With heavy lashes brushing against your cheek each time you blink, contour thinning your face, dark eyeliner helping your eyes pop out against the blush on your cheeks, you find it had to remember the way you looked before. Were your eyes always this bright? Did you always have this curl to your lashes? Were your cheeks this rosy, did you have that red hue to your lips? Did they always look so full and appealing?
Swallowing hard, you wonder if you're ready for this.
When Jin told you you'd be modeling today you thought he was joking. But BangPD wouldn't joke about something like this and when you got the call from him it only secured your fears. Biting your bottom lip, you fidget once more in your chair, the stylist sighing behind you.
Sheepishly, you go still, choosing instead to wrap your hands tightly around the arms of the chair. The stylist resumes their work silently, no doubt unaware of the insecurities rising in your chest. Namjoon is different, however, and noticing the way you've suddenly gone silent he glances towards you in worry.
"Is she ready?" Jin's voice breaks through the busybody chaos of the dressing room as he enters, the stylist performing the finishing touches to your hair.
Still holding forms of animosity towards him, you roll your eyes adeptly ignoring him. If he notices he doesn't show it, just angles past your retreating stylist and places his hands on the back of your chair trying to catch your eye. You raise your brow his way, refusing to return his smile. Noting the growing tension, Namjoon clears his throat, heading over to you as well and helping you out of the chair.
"I should hope so, doesn't she look ready?" He murmurs a bit nervously, and nudges you, clearly screaming at you to make nice with Jin and let bygones be bygones. You roll your eyes at the not-so-subtle signs and force a somewhat convincing smile towards the veteran. Jin nods in satisfaction before leading the three of you to the door, bowing respectfully to the rest of the staff.
Jin shivers in anticipation as he heads down the corridor. "Kind of nervewracking huh?"
Glaring him out of the corner of your eye, you scoff.
"Wasn't this your idea?"
Unfazed, Jin leans down peering into your eyes.
"Was it?"
Biting the inside of your cheek, you flick his forehead with your thumb and forefinger and he reels back, groaning in pain. You can't help but smile in satisfaction, but when you turn to Namjoon, his disapproving stare is enough to make the smile fade away.
"He started it." You mutter under your breath as you enter the shooting area.
Multiple set pieces and lights, bustling people hurrying from one set to another, sounds of photos being taken, bright flashes, and shouts from one side of the room to another. Models in flashy apparel, makeup artists, and stylists are ready to touch up anyone who needs it.
As you come face to face with the sight, you have to refrain from cursing underneath your breath.
"Ah Yen, good you're ready." At the voice, you blink out of your reverie only to find Sejin standing before the three of you. "Thank you for doing this again."
The head of BTS' management team, you've only met the man once before. He looks the same as he did then. Tall and intimidating, burly but with kind eyes. Graying black hair and signature glasses rest on his nose, a soft smile always playing on his lips. He puts you at ease, gives you a sense of familiarity and comfort.
"Of course, sir." You bow your head respectfully towards him, ignoring the incredulous look Jin makes beside you.
"Favoritism." He murmurs under his breath, and you wonder silently if Sejin will notice you elbowing him hard in his gut.
"They won't show your face that much, so all you have to do is stand there and look pretty for the camera. Simple enough, right?" Sejin explains, either pretending to be or completely oblivious to the exchange you and Jin just had. You nod as he turns away, picking up a call from his phone.
"Yeah..." You shakily look down at your hands, praying for them to stop shaking. "Simple."
Namjoon glances your way and reaches for your hand, prepared to offer you some words of encouragement, but another voice breaks through the chaos and he flinches away as soon as your head snaps up once more.
"Let's get going everyone!"
A man stands amidst the bustling crowd, with a clipboard in his hands and an earpiece secured in his ear. A couple of people are constantly trailing after him, asking questions and then darting away to carry out another set of tasks. He wears extravagant yet down-to-earth clothing, something that lets you know he's important but still a part of the background.
"Who's..." you start to say, but Namjoon, following your gaze, already answering your question as he folds his arms.
"That's the director for the shoot." He sighs, almost in exhaustion. Jin nods at his explanation getting the same worn-out look on his face at the sight of the man.
"He's just a little...eccentric." He adds to Namjoon's assumption, and you can't help but snort. Luckily, Jin doesn't seem to notice.
"That's rich coming from you." You mutter under your breath, holding your hand over your mouth to conceal your small giggles of laughter. Namjoon nudges you again to remind you to be respectful, but even he can't keep the smile off his face at the comparison.
"You must be Yen!"
At the shout from across the studio, you flinch as you turn to see the director just a few feet away from you. He takes your hand in his and shakes it excitably, and you have to resist the urge to remind him of personal space.
"My name is Deokhwa, thank you for filling in today."
You smile weakly at his enthusiasm, trying to read his excitement and understand why it's necessary.
"It's no problem."
Almost as soon as he was by your side, he turns on his heel and heads the other way once more calling out instructions to the staff members scuttling around.
"Can we get Taehyung and Jungkook into hair and makeup, please?! This should have been done ages ago!" With wide eyes, you watch him leave, your hand still outstretched where he had shaken it moments ago.
"Is he always like this?"
"Sometimes it's worse," Jin whispers in your ear, and you can't help it, you laugh, any hostility held against him now gone. There wasn't any reason for you to be mad at him, but it's just startling.
Aren't you supposed to be prepared for things like this? But standing here, you couldn't feel more out of place.
"Suga and Jimin, get into costume! Someone touch up Yoongi's hair please, he fell asleep...again."
Swallowing hard, you consider turning on your heel and running out of there. You wonder what they'd do if you just gave everything up now. You'd be okay, right? You've dealt with letting down people before. This wouldn't be anything different.
Then you remember.
The only person you'd be hurting would be yourself.
Clenching your jaw tight, you root your feet to the ground, refusing to let yourself get intimidated. Yes, you're not fully prepared, but you can do this. You have to do this.
"Hoseok!" Deokhwa calls for Jhope who's dawdling around near Suga. He turns at the sound of his name, Yoongi opening an eye, half-delirious and half annoyed. "Are you ready?"
"Yes sir!" He nods, a little too excited. Suga winces from his place beside Jhope, and pulls a pillow off the couch he was sleeping on.
"Then you and Yen can go first, alright?" Deokhwa decides, crossing something off of his clipboard. Jhope nods, saluting the director with a wide smile.
"Roger that!" He shouts once more, unbeknownst of Yoongi winding up behind him, and smacking the pillow straight into his back. Jhope shrieks, startled before turning to Suga and delving into a slight argument.
Namjoon, shaking his head at the encounter, almost forgets that you're right beside him. It's only when you take a deep breath to steady your nerves does he remember, turning to you. Biting his bottom lip, he considers reaching out to console you but pulls away hesitantly. Instead, he clears his throat, gathering your attention.
"Don't worry so much." He murmurs, glancing your way and sending you a slightly awkward but reassuring smile. "You can do this."
You return the smile, finding his concern to be comforting before turning to Deokhwa and heading over there to meet Jhope.
Maybe he's right, maybe you can do this.
Or maybe you're in over your head.
Standing in the middle of the set, you find yourself freezing, unable to move at the sight of so many eyes on you, so many cameras pointed your way. Ready to capture your every move, your every expression, your every misstep. You can't move, afraid that you'll screw everything up. Everything is so perfect, everything is set where it's supposed to be, what if you'll break it when you touch it? Anxiety growing larger and larger within your gut you try your hardest not to break down.
Why did they think you were ready for this? You don't even know what to do, much less how to do it even if you could figure out how to move again. Deokhwa tries his hardest to give you directions, but it's lost within the noise in your head. Static grows, mixing in with the bright lights and eyes staring at you, waiting to devour you and pick you apart as though you were a doll meant for their enjoyment.
When his hand wraps around your arm, sending warmth throughout your shaking body, you find yourself completely helpless. He pulls you to his side, his hands strong and sure behind you, making sure that you won't fall on his watch. You look to him, wondering if he can see how vulnerable you are at the moment, wondering if he knows that you aren't as strong as you pretend to be.
Jhope only smiles, brushing your hair off of your forehead and giving you a soft kiss in their place. You blink, shocked at the sudden show of affection, and equally as shocked when the camera flashes, taking a shot of the encounter.
Flinching, you turn to the camera, and the director, who's grinning from ear to ear. "That was great! Keep it up you two! And Yen, it's okay to be nervous at first, don't worry you'll get the hang of it."
Sheepishly, you nod, any fear or anxiety you had before quickly fading away in an instant. As the shooting commences, you turn to Jhope who has since let go of you and let out a soft sigh of relief.
"Thank you."
Hoseok glances at you from the corner of his eye, chuckling to himself as he takes your hands and leads you over to another section of the set. Dubiously still posing for the cameramen of the shoot. You notice, and can't help but smile. He really is kind.
"For what?"
At his question, you give him a look, but the innocent smile on his face only grows wider. It's a smile that tells you he knows exactly what he did, but he won't admit to it. You roll your eyes at the notion, finding it so like him, and yet so infuriating.
Instead, he picks up a bouquet and hands it to you. "There's nothing to thank me for, it's only right to help out someone new on set."
You take the flowers delicately into your hands, finding them to be an exquisite array of daffodils and sunflowers, a few peonies dotted here and there. You raise the flowers to your face, inhaling the sweet scent. As you do, Jhope smiles affectionately, multiple flashes from the camera capturing every second. However, the two of you are too distracted to care.
"Do you know what these flowers mean?" He asks you, and you look up at him, shaking your head silently. He chuckles at the curious spark in your eye and takes one of the daffodil petals into his hands, stepping closer to you.
"Daffodil's represent rebirth and new beginnings." He explains. "The first bloom after winter fades."
New beginnings. You wonder if there's any left for you to find.
"The sunflower is simple. A sign of happiness and good fortune. Peonies are difficult, however."
"How so?" You ask him, and he smiles, lifting a one from the bouquet.
"They mean something different all over the world. In Greece, they are known to represent bashfulness. In Japan, they're associated with bravery and honor." Looking up at you through his long eyelashes, he brushes his finger across your cheek as he tucks the flower behind your ear. "Generally though, they can be known to represent prosperity and love."
At the mention of the word, both of you look at the other. There's something in his eyes, something that reminds you of the way Jungkook has looked at you before. The same electrifying look that Taehyung has sent your way. The same connection you shared with the masked man.
He only pulls away from your touch long enough to set the flowers aside, then his hands reach for yours and they soon intertwine together.
Maybe it's the strange feeling of the set or the weird way the flowers have resonated with you, but you can feel your heartbeat increasing with every step he takes towards you. He presses his forehead against yours, and you find yourself avoiding his eyes, your cheeks flushing a bright red. Swallowing hard, you look up to find his eyes hooded, all traces of his once comforting smile now gone and replaced with something more sentimental.
"What?" you whisper.
"What do you mean?" This time, he doesn't smile innocently, instead, his warm hands tighten around yours, creating a cocoon around the two of you. You take a shaky breath, trying to refuse the loud pounding of your heart in your ears.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
He offers you no answer, only takes a step closer, your bodies now able to feel the other's warmth. A comforting feeling, one that lets you know that you still breathe and feel the same if not a bit different from the other. He presses his thumb against your cheek, rubbing it softly over your skin in a delicate motion. With wide eyes, you look up at him, wondering what is there that has entranced him so.
"Did you know you have a freckle here?"
Before you can move or even respond, Deokhwa's voice cuts through the cocoon, and the both of you are brought back to the harsh reality you had once escaped from in the arms of the other.
"Alright! That's a wrap, good job you two. Hoseok you can now get changed for your solo shots, and Namjoon get ready you'll be next."
When Jhope pulls away, you find yourself frozen, and confused.
Was that...was that all an act?
Watching him bow slightly to the director and cameramen, but still stay a considerable distance away from you, you can't help but feel a bit slighted. It all felt so real. Could he really have been faking it--?
And so what if he had?
Blushing profusely, you place your hands on your cheeks cursing and begging the rosy hue to erase itself from your skin.
Honestly, Yen, what were you expecting? He doesn't even know you that well, certainly not as well as Namjoon or Tae...
And why are you bringing those two into this?!
Inwardly, you groan. Having all of these idols around you 24/7 isn't doing any favors for your heart. Biting your bottom lip, you feel the darkness growing inside of you once more as you remember your promise.
Not now Yen.
Not yet.
Chuckling nervously, you turn to Jhope.
"You're good at this."
Hoseok looks towards you, once more feigning innocence. You almost want to strangle that puppy dog look from his eyes. It's as though he refuses to show you a real side to him. It's maddening, you can't seem to figure him out.
"What do you mean?" he asks, and you force a smile, beneath your grimace. Taking a deep breath, you pull the peony from your ear, smiling softly.
"You know...faking." You say the word before you realize how insulting it could be interpreted. At Hoseok's slight eyebrow raise, you grimace noting that he took it exactly that way. You stammer, scrambling for the right way to make up for your wrong usage of words. "I mean, you're a good actor! I almost believed that was real."
Jhope looks as though he wants to say something in response, but before he can, Deokhwa call from beyond the set, near a couple of stylists touching up Namjoon's makeup before he heads up.
"Come on you two! Come take a look at the monitor."
You nod, silently thanking God for giving you a weird and eccentric director. You don't notice the odd way Hoseok is looking at you, nor do you realize that he's taken a step closer to you. Placing his hand on your shoulder, you jump a bit, turning to him, but his lips are already by your ear, his breath hot and dancing on your skin.
You try your hardest not to shiver as he whispers his next words, the sound reverberating in your eardrums.
"I wasn't faking anything."
𝔞/𝔫: i feel like we have hardly any Jhope moments so here you go! i hope this is a nice one, even if it's kind of short ;-;

Hey everyone.
It's been a while since I made a post here.
So I decided it would be nice to talk about my opinions on different shows I've watched and try to criticize them.....we will begin with one of the most famous shows on all over internet:
Miraculous tale of Ladybug and Cat Noir!
So one of my friends told me about this show around two years ago and told me to give it a try. Being curious, I decided to watch a couple of episodes.
At first I didn't think much of it and continued to watch it just to have some fun....so after I finished watching season 1, I was pretty surprised by how it ended.
My favorite episodes of this season are: Origins part 1 and 2, Stormy weather, Volpina and Collector.
So pretty much season 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Sweet!
That's why I decided to continue because I was genuinely curious of what was going to happen next.
Season 2 was AWESOME! We learned more about Adrien, Gabriel/Hawkmoth, and their relationship. We learned more about Marinette and how invested she was in becoming a fashion designer (Just like how it was shown in Style Queen)....and more importantly we learned more about Chloe and the reason behind her bratty behaviors!
Spoiler alert, Chloe started getting a very good character development which is another thing I just LOVED about this season.
She turned from a two dimensional bully to a three dimensional character.
Here are my favorite episodes of season 2:
Christmas special (because we saw Adrien vulnerable...and I really sympathized with him), Style Queen (I truly felt sorry for Chloe), Despair bear (It shows that Chloe is capable of changing and was the start of the character development for her), Wasp queen (Chloe's apology melted my heart. What she did was truly heroic), Maledictator (It was Chloe at her best) and Heroes day/season 2 finale (It was so satisfying to see Hawkmoth stepping up his game and I love the Miraclous team there)
After watching season 2 I knew I couldn't be led down (how wrong was I!)
Season 3 was the most forgettable season of all time! My favorite episodes are:
Miraclouer (Chloe resisted and akuma! Too bad that it was forgotten by everyone at the end), Chat Blanc (It was really memorable.), Felix (Felix is an awesome character)
But all of season 3 was ruined due to Miracle Queen, the worst season finale ever! Of course I should add that those episodes had some good qualities (Dragonbug, the Ladynoir moment and Marinette having a breakdown) but it was all ruined because of how they ruined Chloe's redemption arc and how all responsibility was placed on just Marinette!
Marinette and Adrien ALREADY were unequal....this just turned Cat Noir into a mere pawn and now Marinette is stressed because of so much of responsibilities even though she's just fourteen!
So season 3 finale was the start of the show going down the hill!
Once season 4 is fully released I'll talk about it in another post.
But so far.....in conclusion, this series wasn't that great....it was just a romance superhero series at season 1! Season 2, we had so many developments. Season 3 was meh other than those episodes I liked.
Okay that's it! Keep in mind that these are just my personal opinion. You're free to have yours.

Here is part 2! Tbh I want to see more about Natsu's and Rei's reaction, and of course what is going to happen with Dabi, so enjoy the cliffhanger 👀 let me know if you'd like to be tagged!
Part 1
Rencounter [Part 2/?]
Two weeks ago
"Dabi?'' You said in surprise as you opened the door and he stepped into your apartment, ''I thought you were not coming until next week''
''We need to talk, y/n'' He said, not even looking at you. You walked towards him once the door was closed.
''Is everything all right?'' When you were facing him, you lifted a hand to caress his cheek but he abruptly pulled away.
''Stop that, for fuck's sake. Stop that.'' Your jaw dropped slightly, he was usually rough but that rough?
''Stop what?'' You asked in disbelief, moving your hand to its previous position.
''All of this, us'' You noticed how he clenched his jaw and then his blue eyes were right over yours ''This needs to be over, y'hear me?''
''What?'' You asked with a smile, a smile that was there because you thought he was joking, but when he didn't laugh you knew he was not faking it ''You're kidding, right?''
''I'm not kidding. This? You and I? Can't keep happening anymore. And thank me I came all the way here and not just fucking disappear from your life from one day to another.''
''I can't believe this, Dabi. Why? Yesterday you texted me, things were fine and I-'' He cut you off, not even paying attention to the tears in your eyes, or the confusion and pain in your voice.
''I was not made for this, I can't just be here and play the happy little couple with you. So fuck all of this.'' He turned over and started walking to the door again ''Sorry for making you waste your time'' And right then, getting out of the frozen state you grabbed his wrist, making him look at you over his shoulder.
''You're not leaving until you give me a reason,'' Holding back the tears, you spoke ''What the hell? Yesterday you sent me a text telling me that you loved me, that you cared about me and now this?''
''Can't you fucking see it, then?'' He scoffed, turning around again ''I care about you more than I should, y/n. And the only thing I'm doing is dragging you down with me, it is better if I leave.''
''We... We had this type of conversation before, and I already told you that-''
''Told me what? That you'll stay with me until the end? My end is near, and if I don't go to jail I'll die and drag everyone down with me.'' He raised his voice. ''Get away from me, move on. Get a fucking life, one that's better than the shit I give you''
''You don't give me shit, Dabi. I love you, everything about you and how you are when you're with me'' It was impossible to hold back the tears that were escaping from your eyes at that point.
''You think I haven't noticed? How you look at couples in the street? Or the way you smile at the screen when you see your friends sharing their damn life, getting engaged, having kids, moving together. I can't even take you out for a fucking coffee'' He snapped.
''I never asked you any of that! I smile because I'm happy for them, not because I want their lives!'' You snapped to. Why was it so hard for him to understand? ''I'm not planning getting married, either having kids. I don't want the world to know, I give a fuck about posting pictures and stories on Instagram, I just want to enjoy my time with you!''
''You're not enjoying it! You are worried all the fucking time, let me go! Forget about me, get you someone who gives you what you deserve!'' If he could cry, tears would be running down his cheeks as well. ''I'm broken, I'm cursed. I look like a fucking zombie, y/n. Get the fuck away from me before we both go down.'' Dabi said in between his teeth as he hit the table with his fist.
''Listen, I know you. I know you're not a role model, I know you've killed people and done even worse. I'm not romanticizing those actions, they're wrong as fuck but guess what, this society is wrong too. All that Enji did to you? How some actions are done by heroes are hidden? All the pain you went through? All of this is fucked up. But guess what, I fell for you, for the one I knew under all of that pain'' You almost yelled, feeling your eyes burning because of the tears and your heart racing.
''Oh you do? Sorry to break it up to you, but I'm nothing but a monster, a villain who doesn't regret his actions, and will not regret them.''
''The monster that tells me how much he loves me when he thinks I fell asleep? Or the one that plays with my hair when I'm sad?'' Dabi was silent ''Is that the monster you're talking about?''
''Y/n...'' Dabi denied ''You're not getting this. I might hurt you, and I don't want that.''
''You won't. I'm a grown woman, I know where I am standing, and I want to keep standing by your side. ''And I also know you might die soon, so please, don't push me away. Not now'' This time your voice was low, your chin trembling. You felt how his hand pulled you from your nape, making your forehead rest against his. It was his gesture, the one he used to do when he wanted to say he loved you but he couldn't, the one when thanked you for anything, or the one when he wanted just to be close to you but was too ashamed to ask.
''Are you sure about this?'' He whispered ''Are you sure you want to burn with me?'' Dabi's eyes were closed, clenching his teeth as he resisted the urge to kiss you and hold you in his arms.
''Today, tomorrow, and always'' You whispered back, caressing his cheek with your thumb as you sobbed.
............................................
Present time
Crickets and the sound of leaves against branches were the only sound filling the room, that and two lovers' breathing. You used one finger to trace Dabi's chest, drawing imaginary figures on his chest. The side of your body was holding your weight as you kept looking at him under the blueish light. Once you got tired, you pressed a soft kiss on his shoulder and lay down by his side, one hand on his abdomen and your face nuzzled against his neck.
''So you were really willing to burn with me'' He said suddenly, a raspy and tired voice.
''I told you I was'' You said, and then lifted your eyes at him ''How are you feeling?''
''Like shit'' He said, and then looked at the door ''y/n,'' he said in a low voice, still looking at the door ''Are they here?''
''Yes, they are.'' You said softly, having no idea how to approach that topic.
''What a lovely family meeting'' He chuckled and then coughed. ''This is so fucked up'' Dabi said again, moving his head to the side so it could rest on your temple.
''How can you still be an idiot even in this state?'' you said a little amused
''It is just who I am, doll. Can't help it y'know'' you felt a bit coldness in the hand that was on his abdomen, and it were the staples he had on his hand when he grabbed yours and squeezed it tightly.
Meanwhile, outside the room was someone watching every move. Her eyes were filled with tears, should she run over the man laying there or should she just wait? Rei thought that the second option suited best. His first son, the one who was wounded as much as physically and mentally looked in peace while laying next to the woman he loved. She had waited over years, a few hours more were fine. But what was Rei supposed to say to him? Was he going to hate her? Hate Natsu? Dabi was unpredictable, and his reaction had her worried. Maybe she was better at the hospital, isolated from all of that, but she already left her son on his own once, and now she had the chance to at least say sorry.
An hour passed, and you could tell Dabi was asleep again because of the rhythm of his chest, rising and falling slowly. His mouth was slightly open and his traits looked more relaxed. You left a kiss on his cheek before getting up, making your way towards the kitchen. Rei was standing in front of the window with a blanket over her shoulders, but she looked at you when your footsteps were louder.
''Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt'' You said with a small smile.
''You didn't'' She replied, looking calmer than you expected ''Is Tou-''She cut herself ''Is he okay?''
''Yes, he's sleeping right now. But tomorrow he'll be better, I think'' You smiled at her. It was hard to find the words, but just when you were about to say something, a male voice interrupted.
''Mother?'' Natsu asked, rubbing his eye with the side of his hand. ''Is everything ok?''
''Yeah, we were just speaking'' Rei said.
''Oh, I'm y/n by the way.'' You said looking at the two of them ''It is not the best way to meet but, here we are'' you shrugged your shoulders. ''I... I need to go to the village tomorrow to get some things, so... You can stay with him in the morning and, you know. I don't want to interrupt you'' you knew his story, and they had a lot to talk about.
''Maybe it is better if you're here. I haven't seen much but you're important to him, so probably he'll feel better if you're here''
The truth behind his words and Rei's agreement on Natsu's statement was that they were not sure what to do or how to act with him on their own. When Dabi was having hallucinations earlier, he recognized you. Rei saw you and him laying together, and she heard that tiny piece of conversation that told her you were important to him, someone he cared about. After saying that you were going to try and arrive earlier tomorrow so you can be there once Dabi's was awake, you gave them a smile so you could return to the room you were sharing with Dabi.
You lay back down, and you could felt how he moved and held you by the waist, pressing his chest against your torso, forehead against forehead as his hand was on your nape, using his thumb to caress the zone.
''Dabi! You're hurt, lay how you were'' You said worried, not even moving.
''I've been worse. Now shut up and just stay here'' Dabi mumbled, his scent and breathing close so close to you making you feel at home.
''Fine, you whining kid'' you laughed and heard him let out a low chuckle ''Do you need anything before I fall asleep?'' You asked, moving your fingers on his chest.
''A can of beer, maybe. Or you going down on me. Maybe you going down on my as I drink beer, that shit would be nice'' He said with a smile, making you laugh again.
''I'm serious, Dabi. Water? something for the pain?'' You asked again.
''I'm fine, dollface. Just keep your ass here by my side and don't go''
''Guess I could do that''
''You better''
You knew it. The way he held you, his snarky comments to avoid an answer, his hand on your nape, and silence. He was not Ok, he needed you there because he didn't know how to handle things at that point. His mother and brother were there, he saw them for brief seconds but it felt weird. His hate was against Endeavor, even against Shoto, but his mom? She was just another victim, and Natsu? He was there to hear him, to be a kind of support for him, how could he give them the same treatment as Endeavor? Those questions were screaming inside his head, and as they were becoming louder, the tighter he was holding you against his body.
Time kept moving, and before any of you could notice,
Morning came.

when you said I should wait to read two chapters at once I was genuinely afraid that you ended this chapter with a cliffhanger, but you didn't and I love you so much for it!!! this chapter brought a smile to my face numerous times, the ending is wholesome 💕
I'd like to share a few thoughts with you (a chapter recap):
first of all.... kaye.... man..... like bro wtf, you didn't even die as a hero but like an idiot (sorry not sorry), it is indeed such a pointless death oh boyyy (but it was quite funny, a bit macabre but funny, how you described the circumstances surrounding his death such as him disregarding the orders, going down with only one bullet (not even in a fight), and that it was a miracle for that human to even kill him,,
I felt for the reader so much in this chapter, she's so baby and I just want to hug her /but I'm happy neteyam is there to do exactly that 🥴)
His arms opened instinctively, inviting her into an embrace, and the force with which her body collided with his threatened to knock him off balance. Her face pressed tightly against his chest, arms wrapped around his back, pressing on all of the wounds she was treating just a few moments ago, hurting him but he paid it no mind.
HE IS SOOOOOO- 💞😩💘😭✨
"I know," she sniffled, "But I wasn't -" another sniffle interrupted her words, "I'm sorry if it causes you any trouble." "Y/N, I don't care about any of that," he assured her, his voice gentle, soothing like cool water against weary muscles.
he's a man. he is THE man. I love love how he's there for her, and so understanding, and so reassuring, and just himmmm
"Look at me," he insisted, gently lifting her chin with a finger, "You have every right to grieve for someone you loved. Nothing else matters."
I AM LOOKING SIR I AM LOOKING 😩😩😩 (you write him so well, and the dialogue is mwah 😘🤌)
Neteyam became everything that she craved
well girl it was time that you finally realized!! also same. this sentence alone describes the whole fandom; I swear this could be in a documentary narrated by morgan freeman.
"I... I couldn't stay away," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I saw the light and... I wanted to see what you were doing." Y/N clutched the half-finished necklace, hiding it from his view with a hurry. A small pout settled on her face from his sudden curiosity. “It’s not done, stop looking,” she ordered protectively. “Is it for me?” Neteyam couldn’t resist the prying.
this is melting my heart!! (but in a perfect, tooth rooting sweet way) I had to smile through the whole interaction.
"I'm just nervous," she confessed softly, her hand falling back into her lap. “You are?” “Of course, aren’t you?” “Are you kidding me? I haven’t slept in a week!” Neteyam chuckled with relief.
another great passage that made me all giddy inside, they are sooo cute together, and I love how open they are with each other now (thanks kaye for dying I guess)
what I loved as well is the whole dramatic "I had a dream you'd die, please don't go" - "it was just a dream babygirl, I promise nothing will happen to me" dilemma,,, giiiiirl I'm telling you I was afraid for a second that something would happen to neteyam (thank you that he's back all healthy and alive)
“You refused to believe Tsahik’s vision from Eywa about you and Neteyam but you think a silly nightmare you had is a warning?”
AHSGDCHAGSBHJSVHJ I LOVE HER
awwwwww this chapter was beautiful (although I felt the angst ngl) the dialogues, the whole family dynamics, just neteyam and the reader *sighs dreamily* I couldn't wish for more 💞 (btw, the necklace symbolism was lovely, first neteyam's dreams/vision and then tuk gifting it to the reader in reality, it's a sign, ladies and gentlemen)
I can't wait to read the next chapter, but I am also sad because it's going to be the last one :((
Chosen by Eywa - New Beginnings - Chapter 5

contains: arranged marriage, mentions of war and grief, angst, one-sided enemies to lovers, slow burn
wc: 5.8k
chosen by eywa masterlist | general avatar masterlist
a/n: see? i promised two chapters within a week and i'm delivering!!! also the next chapter is going to be the finale and i'm so bummed out about it. i feel very connected to this story and planning it from the beginning had brought me lots of peace
For a while, Y/N remained frozen, watching from a distance as the Na’vi surrounded the motionless body of her former love. Neteyam, who felt sick to his stomach just from the mere sight of Kaye, anxiously observed Y/N, waiting for something to happen, though he wasn’t sure what exactly to expect. Any kind of reaction instilled a sense of dread within him; would she ever be able to move on from that?
Jake had no time to recount the entire situation over the wired comms device. As the Olo’eyktan, he had to explain everything in a hurry to Neteyam, while also soaring through the territory in case anyone else defied the curfew and needed to be protected. But Jake’s voice gave it away - the worry, the guilt he had carried as the chief for such a pointless death. Kaye, who had lost his tracking device earlier, during the surveillance, and had been instructed to just abandon it, opted for sneaking after the curfew and searching for it. Joined by a friend, they landed within the area and continued their search on foot, when a single bullet suddenly found its mark beneath Kaye’s ribcage, tearing right through his left lung. The devilish human, a vile being who had no business lurking the land this late, and who had possessed neither the size nor the strength to bring down a Na’vi, somehow managed a victory. One that he’d boast about to his comrades later. By the time Kaye was hoisted onto the back of his friend's ikran and flown back to camp, it was already too late.
The surrounding Na'vi watched in horror as he drew his final breath, and then he was gone. It shattered Y/N. Her frozen composure suddenly moved, then a loud cry, as if she was in physical pain. A cry that had been suppressed for countless years, ingrained deep within her throat since the tragic day her parents were taken from her. Like an overwhelmingly big wave, desperation, remorse and guilt threatened her with loneliness she could no longer bear.
The Na'vi pressed closer to Kaye, shielding him from her view, but she surged forward to close that distance. It was as if she believed she could somehow resurrect him, breathe life back into his still form. It was strange and peculiar — how could a woman, bound to another man, suddenly mourn so passionately for a stranger?
Sobbing, she drew nearer, but hands, one after another, pushed her away from Kaye. Encountered with resistance and hushed pleas to calm down, Y/N only grew more desperate to reach him. Neteyam trailed closely behind her, but refrained from restraining her. Y/N was giving a piece of herself that she had kept closed off for years, as she crumbled before the entire clan. But he could only wait for her to reach for him when she was ready.
Yäyä’s cry was what pierced through the atmosphere then, bringing the crowd to a stillness. Having performed the sacred bond with Kaye and falling for him, his death felt like a nightmare. A nightmare she’d likely have after Kaye’s small but reckless rebellions, fueled by the desire to resist his parents' authority sometimes. As people stepped away, some not quick enough and pushed aside by her determined shoves, Yäyä pressed forward to make her way to her mate.
Through the haze, Y/N watched the unraveling scene and then it suddenly hit her like a thunderbolt. It should have been her, not Yäyä. To be bearing the weight of the loss, to forge a connection with Kaye, then ultimately release him back into the embrace of the Great Mother. Tears blurred Y/N's vision as she watched the poor girl kneel beside her beloved's lifeless body, hunching over him as if she was shielding him from the prying gazes of others.
Neteyam gulped down nervously, his hand reaching out to gently grasp Y/N's upper arm. His touch was delicate, so light that she barely registered it. Y/N turned her gaze towards him, her brows furrowing in a pitiful expression, and in that moment he thought he could hear his heart drop at the sight.
“Neteyam,” she whispered weakly, unsure of what exactly she was asking of him, but he understood anyway.
She sobbed against him, and with every breath she took, he cradled her head gently, drawing her closer. Y/N’s words came in a blur, and he couldn’t understand what she was trying to tell him, but before he could even ask, Kiri appeared next to them, her hands resting on Y/N's back.
“Y/N, let’s get away from here, yeah?”
Kiri and Neteyam shared a knowing look, and he nodded in agreement. Slowly, he began to step back, gently guiding Y/N with him, never releasing his hold on her. Almost instinctively, Y/N's feet followed the movements of his body, as if they were entrained to his every step.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
The remainder of the night passed by in a blur. Y/N had barely come to terms with the fact that the man she had once loved was now gone. No matter how much she regretted being with him, being his, no matter how much she hated him, nothing could have outweighed the immense pain she felt at his loss. Even though he had never truly been hers to begin with. The haunting image of Yäyä, broken and fragile, crumbling under the weight of grief, sent shivers down her spine.
Neteyam, who had brought Y/N back home with Kiri, now found himself alone with her. Kiri had promised to check on them later, as her assistance was required with the preparations for the upcoming funeral. Sitting on the ground, Y/N’s back leaned into his chest, the position that would have been awkward in any other circumstance, but now provided a sense of comfort. Y/N was no longer crying, and though Neteyam couldn’t see her face, he could guess that she had calmed down.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled, turning her face to meet his gaze. He furrowed his brows in response, his eyes tracing the trails of dried tears on her cheeks.
"Why are you apologizing?"
"I must have caused a scene…" Y/N's voice hitched, her gaze shifting downward as she fidgeted in her seat, "I didn't mean to... to... I'm not his mate... I mean, I just... and right next to Yäyä... I had no right to..."
"The right to grieve?" Neteyam completed her thought, his frown deepening. "Y/N, you have every right to feel pain. You were in love with him."
"I know," she sniffled, "But I wasn't -" another sniffle interrupted her words, "I'm sorry if it causes you any trouble."
"Y/N, I don't care about any of that," he assured her, his voice gentle, soothing like cool water against weary muscles.
Y/N shook her head, still refusing to meet his gaze. Now that the situation had settled in and she reflected on her actions, she had realized that she took away from the secrecy of their relationship with Kaye. And along with it, she made a cut in Neteyam’s carefully crafted image. Made space for the clan to speculate.
"Look at me," he insisted, gently lifting her chin with a finger, "You have every right to grieve for someone you loved. Nothing else matters."
She nodded weakly, her hand wrapping around his wrist in silent gratitude. Neteyam's eyes roamed across her face, searching for something he couldn't quite articulate. He gulped.
“We are a team, remember? Whether we like it or not, you can rely on me.”
And so, Neteyam stayed by her side throughout the night. He dozed off from time to time, only to awaken and check if she was still peaceful in his embrace. Neteyam wondered if she was truly comfortable in that position. He tried shifting his weight every now and then, attempting to create more space for her, but she’d only grumble in dissatisfaction and cling tighter to his chest.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
The loss of Kaye, this time both literal and physical, was more dull rather than acute. Days seemed to stretch on endlessly, each one feeling like a month, and it was only at nights when Y/N felt just a little like herself. Neteyam became her guardian, shielding her fragile bubble from any disruptions, not tolerating even his grandmother, who sought to push Y/N back into her duties. He understood that she needed her time, and he was ready to give her as much as she required, becoming the only consonant in her routine. His heart swelled with a clinging torturous protectiveness towards her that he embraced without hesitation.
Eventually, though it still seemed too soon, Y/N returned back to her duties. The lessons she had missed were especially hard, but she only encouraged the challenge because it helped her take her mind off things. But what distracted her even more, an undeniable part of her recovery, was the man she was promised to. As if Neteyam had effortlessly woven himself into her thoughts, his scent lingered in her home, his gaze on her was so warm, it surpassed the brilliance of a thousand suns. Slowly, but surely, somethin started to bloom inside of her that felt beyond gratitude and loyalty towards him.
Now more often than out of obligation, their paths continued to intersect, with Neteyam seeking her out in between his breaks under the reasoning of checking on her. Small activities they shared nestled the dearest place in her heart, easing the scars left behind by Kaye's tragic passing. Like a balm for her wounds, Neteyam became everything that she craved.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
All that time, Neteyam feared that Kaye’s death would affect the fragile relationship he had with Y/N, thinking that she would drift further away under the weight of grief. But when she leaned on Neteyam instead, seeking comfort and finding strength in his support, he realized that maybe the roots of their bond had taken deeper than they ever saw coming. And if they survived this, then maybe they could face anything together.
But the newfound confidence quickly wavered with a single announcement. The fear of tying their lives together was mutual, seeped into both of their thoughts. They couldn’t deny the pull they felt for another but the weight of the ceremony, looming over them as an unknown abyss, was too heavy to sustain.
“You two look like ghosts, what did grandmother say?” Kiri was eager to tease her brother and Y/N, once they walked out of Mo’at’s tent.
Y/N felt a knot form in her stomach at the question, glancing up at Neteyam next to her, who seemed equally anxious, chewing on his bottom lip. Was their bond strong enough to survive such timing? Kiri, tired of waiting, raised her eyebrows to urge them to speak.
“Tsahik has set the day for the ceremony,” Neteyam took a deep sigh before passing the news to his sister, "It will take place in ten days' time, during the next full moon."
“So soon?” Kiri questioned, glancing between her brother and Y/N.
“The bond between two mates is supposed to be sacred, and Eywa has deemed it the right time for our union,” Y/N repeated Mo’at’s words.
Neither of them protested.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
“I can’t today,” Y/N forced an apologetic smile, “There's so much to prepare for the ceremony. I’m sure you’d -”
“I understand,” Neteyam nodded eagerly to convince her he really did, “I have preparations to make as well.”
Y/N let out a sigh of relief, the interaction had been repeated a few times already over the course of the past few days, ever since Mo’at had declared the date for the blessing of their union as mates. Neteyam backed out of the healing tent with a sheepish smile, but his mind was a mess. He couldn’t understand why she suddenly made him so nervous? The weight of the approaching ceremony fueled his unease every time he saw her now.
To make the matters worse, the vision from his Dream Hunt relentlessly invaded his dreams every night. There she was, the graceful and strong woman standing beside him, holding his hand, haunting his subconscious that was already stirred with the events in his life. The unusually long necklace, adorned with blue feathers and layered twice, hung from her neck, cascading down to her hips. But as his eyes tried tracing her face, it felt like the image of her slipped through his grasp like sand. No matter how hard he tried, her face remained a mystery. He would wake up in the middle of the night, the vision of this woman lingering in his mind, and he would desperately try to recapture the moments, hiding his face in between his knees and squeezing his eyes shut to go back. But his thoughts would invariably drift to his soon-to-be mate.
What was Y/N feeling? There was a whirlwind of emotions, bundled up from the loss, from the gain, from the upcoming unknown. But she wasn’t quite ready to face their depths. So she occupied herself with preparations for the ceremony earnestly, not out of her wish to become Neteyam’s, rather out of desperation to avoid him as much as she could. Seeing him made it all too real, too rushed, so instead she had declared herself to be busy for walks, for talks, for any kind of interaction that’d be long enough to give away her anxiousness.
To choose and make the ceremonial special mixes, to weave her garments, to prepare a gift for her future mate - everything seemed to be more important, than spending time with Neteyam. But deep down, she was just scared. Of facing the guilt she carried for letting go of Kaye and having her heart beat for Neteyam now.
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
The night was draped in a blanket of darkness when Neteyam found himself standing outside Y/N’s home, the faint flicker of light from the inside drawing him closer. He hesitated for a moment before nearing the entrance. He wanted to respect this distance between them that she eagerly seeked out but it’s been too difficult.
The sight of Y/N immediately took his breath away. Under the soft glow of the handmade fluorescent lamps, Y/N was hunching over a piece of unfinished jewelry, her fingers working swiftly, with far more ease than when she worked on mats. The piece resembled a traditional Omatikaya necklace but its intricacy suggested a higher rank than any of their clan members would typically wear. It was as if she had envisioned him wearing it one day, in his rightful place as the Olo'eyktan. Neteyam gulped nervously at the thought.
Y/N, sensing his presence, suddenly looked up from her work, eyes widening in surprise to find him standing there. It had been a while since they had been truly alone together, ever since the announcement of the ceremony.
“Neteyam?” her voice was quiet, “What are you doing here?”
Neteyam cleared his throat, his gaze lingering on the unfinished necklace for a moment.
"I... I couldn't stay away," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I saw the light and... I wanted to see what you were doing."
Y/N clutched the half-finished necklace, hiding it from his view with a hurry. A small pout settled on her face from his sudden curiosity.
“It’s not done, stop looking,” she ordered protectively.
“Is it for me?” Neteyam couldn’t resist the prying.
He stepped further, sitting down in front of her and craning his neck to catch a glimpse of the piece she was masterfully hiding from him. He chuckled to himself, shaking his head in amusement at the childish behavior.
“Seriously, aren’t you going to show it to me?”
“No, it has to be a surprise,” she was a little irritated with his sternness.
“Really?” he quirked an eyebrow with irony.
“Well, can I see your gift?” Y/N challenged him back.
“No, but -”
“Then I’m not showing you this. It’s not finished yet.”
He smirked, finding the whole banter just amusing and relaxing for the first time in days, but decided not to push it. Deciding to give her a little more space, he leaned back on his palms and watched with a glint in his eyes, as Y/N quickly gathered her supplies away, hiding the necklace as promptly as she could under her working table.
“Why are you even awake at this hour?”
Her question caused him to falter. It really has slipped his mind to come up with an excuse to invade her space this late at night.
“I guess… I wanted to check on you. We haven’t spoken in a while.”
“We spoke this morning.”
“No, not like that,” Neteyam shook his head, “I mean a real conversation.”
“Yeah, well… we have been busy, it’s not like…” Y/N trailed off guiltily.
“Not like you were avoiding me?”
“What? No!” she quickly withdrew from the accusation, though it was a truthful one.
“Come on, Y/N. I can see that you’re dreading to spend time with me. I know this timing for the ceremony is not ideal, but if we just push through this together, instead of doing it alone -” his words tumbled out of his mouth in a rush, but Y/N interrupted him, pressing a finger to his lips. His eyes widened, waiting for an explanation.
"I'm just nervous," she confessed softly, her hand falling back into her lap.
“You are?”
“Of course, aren’t you?”
“Are you kidding me? I haven’t slept in a week!” Neteyam chuckled with relief.
A soft smile stretched Y/N’s lips, and under the soft light, it almost seemed like Neteyam was glowing too, a bright orange warmth radiated from within his chest and spread out all the way to his cheeks.
“I didn’t know that you had the ability to get nervous,” Y/N couldn't help but tease.
He gave her a lopsided smirk, almost as if he was annoyed but at the same time excited that the feeling of being wrapped up in her comfort had finally returned.
"Even I can have flaws sometimes," he playfully retorted, earning a playful smack on his chest in response.
He caught her palm in his hand, gently placing it against his chest just above his ribcage, and both of their heartbeats picked up. Y/N looked up at him with tenderness, surprised by the intimate gesture, but it felt more profound than any moment she had ever shared with Kaye. The intensity in Neteyam's eyes mirrored her own emotions, as if he was pleading for something, anything from her. When his eyes fell to her lips, a blush warmed her cheeks, and Y/N cleared her throat. Quickly, Neteyam withdrew his hand, rising to his feet. The air in the room suddenly filled with a hint of awkwardness
"Well, I better go. I have to wake up early tomorrow," he hurriedly explained, "It's... um, a really important mission."
Y/N nodded with slight disappointment, not sure if it was aimed more at him or at herself.
“Good luck, Neteyam.”
︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
“Neteyam!” Y/N shouted, her eyes fluttering open.
With a ragged breath and cheeks wet from tears, she jumped off of her mat immediately, having just woken up from a vivid nightmare. Her heart pounded at the images of Neteyam going off the mission and never returning. This rotten feeling of something bad happening gripped her stomach, urging her to rush out of her home as soon as her feet could carry her.
It was already an early morning, sun just barely rising from behind the horizon, and Y/N feared she might have been too late. Her steps were fueled by desperation, as she finally made it to Sully's home, ignoring the cold morning air sending shivers down her skin. Before she could proceed further into the pod, Jake, who went unnoticed by the young woman, caught her attention.
“Are you okay, kid?” he raised his eyebrows in response to her flinch, clearly not expecting to be seeing him.
The Olo’eyktan was sitting on the ground, his back leaning against the wall, the strange sky people's weapons were laid out in front of him, as he was in the middle of checking every single one before the day ahead. Y/N only nodded, the reality of her actions just settling in, turning her cheeks dark blue from all the embarrassment crashing in.
“Oel ngati kameie,” she quickly signed to him, bowing her head slightly, “Is Neteyam still home?”
Jake hummed with a slight confusion, still unsure of what the girl had been doing so early in the morning there, clearly distraught. But before he could voice out his response, Neteyam already walked out of the pod, with his mother right behind him. Y/N’s eyes quickly traced the similar weapons adorning both Na’vi, their war paint already on. She caught them just a moment before they were ready to leave, and drew in a small breath of relief.
“Oel ngati kameie,” she gestured quickly to Neytiri, her eyes darting between the woman and her son.
Both were surprised to see her there but the anxiousness plastered over Y/N’s face worried Neteyam. He greeted her back, silently asking for an explanation with his gaze. Just like Jake, Neytiri observed the exchange with a small frown.
“Y/N, is something wrong?” Neteyam urged her gently, his own voice haltering at the sudden fear of rejection.
He went home last night content with their mutual confessions, thinking that they had reached an understanding. But right then, as she stood before him like that, doubts started reappearing in his mind. What if she was there to tell him she wasn’t ready? That she regretted agreeing to the union?
“I have to speak with you right now,” Y/N requested with a stern voice.
“We don’t have time for that, kid,” Jake intervened, as he stood up from his seat, “Once Lo’ak is ready, we’re leaving for the mission.”
Y/N’s eyes darted pleadingly between the three Sully’s. Her hand reached out for Neteyam’s, clinging to him, as she glanced back at Jake, her voice breaking.
“It is very important, please.”
“Jake,” Neytiri finally chimed in, her tone empathetic, “Let them speak.”
The chief shook his head with slight irritation but complied with his mate’s wish anyway. His gaze softened once it landed on their intertwined hands.
“Alright, but only for a minute. I’m serious, Neteyam.”
“Yes, sir.”
Quickly, Y/N nodded in gratitude to the Olo’eyktan, as she led Neteyam slightly away from them, enough to feel safe in her confession. Her eyes were already tearing up, and she wasn’t really sure why, but Neteyam tensed up immediately, preparing himself to take whatever she was going to throw at him.
"Neteyam, you can't go on this mission. I had a dream, and... you never came back from it. You can't go now," she began to babble, her words rushed and jumbled together.
“Y/N, what are you talking about?” he frowned, barely managing to get anything out of what she said.
"I saw you in my dream! You got shot and fell from your ikran during the mission. I lost you," she choked, her eyes welling up with tears once again. "Please, you have to listen to me."
“Y/N, I can’t miss out on this mission. It is too important,” Neteyam stepped closer, his voice reassuring her with his gentle tone, “You just had a nightmare. It wasn’t real.”
“I can’t lose you too,” a tear streamed down her cheek.
As the first rays of sunrise painted the sky, Neteyam's heart swelled with a love as vast as the forests of Pandora. The sight of her, standing there with tear-filled eyes, pleading for him to stay, stirred something deep within him. He could feel the roots of their connection grow stronger, intertwining with his every fiber. With a tender touch, he wiped her cheek with his palm, then tucked the hair behind her ear.
“I will be safe, I promise.”
“I can’t let you go.”
“My child,” Neytiri's voice broke the moment, drawing their attention.
Y/N hastily wiped away her eyes, aware that Neytiri had likely overheard their conversation. In the past days, most of Y/N’s time was spent on the preparations, occupying herself with endless options for things that were not as important as just her being ready mentally. But the pressure of perfection weighed even heavier on Y/N under Neytiri's watchful presence. As a Na'vi deeply rooted in tradition and loyalty to their home, Neytiri's opinion held great significance. Y/N couldn't help but feel a nervousness, fearing that her choices would be met with disapproval. Though she didn’t know that Neytiri’s attentiveness was only fueled by the intention of seeking out signs that Y/N and her eldest son were finally growing closer. Now seeing the way Y/N teared up at the mere thought of Neteyam getting hurt had finally satisfied that curiosity.
“Do not worry about Neteyam, he is a skilled warrior, and he will be safe,” she stepped closer to Y/N, hand reaching out to softly pat her back.
“But the dream -”
“It is only a bad dream,” Neytiri interrupted the small protest, “Kiri has told me about how busy and restless you have been recently. Perhaps even nervous about the nearing of the ceremony? That must have affected your mood.”
Y/N nodded hesitantly at the inquiry. Neytiri offered her an understanding smile.
“You worry too much,” she concluded, “Stay with the girls today. They’ll help you with distractions.”
“Especially Tuk,” Neteyam chimed in with a reassuring smile, “She has been dying to spend time with you anyway.”

“I made you a necklace!” Tuk's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she jumped up from the ground, eager to present her masterpiece she had been crafting for the past days under the guidance of her mother.
“Oh, Tuk, you didn’t have to!” Y/N leaned back, a gentle smile gracing her lips, as she observed the young girl.
"She's been eager to welcome you into the family, so," Kiri replied with a smirk, taking a seat next to Y/N, "She even convinced Lo'ak to find these blue feathers for her."
“Hey, don’t spoil it!”
Y/N chuckled at the distraction, but as she waited for Tuk to retreat the necklace, her thoughts drifted back to Neteyam. The Sully’s tent was already filled with darkness, it was way past the sunset and the war party still hasn’t returned from their mission. Y/N sat up straight, her posture tensing up at the thoughts, trying to steady her nervous breaths. The chaos that unfolded from Tuk’s search for the gift somehow brought that panic back into her. Kiri observed her friend with curiosity.
To Kiri, Y/N changed drastically in the past months. The way she carried herself, how she slowly grew more accustomed to the idea of being in an arranged union with Neteyam, her active involvement in the preparations. She seemed like a changed person, better, stronger. And though at first Kiri had written it off as being an aftermath of distracting herself from Kaye’s death, now seeing how anxious Y/N was turning with every minute as she glanced towards the door, it was evident that it was rather the effect of her older brother.
“They’ll be back soon, don’t worry.”
“Hm?” Y/N turned to face her, “It is so late though…”
“But the mission was kind of big and dangerous and they had to be extra careful?” Kiri quirked her eyebrow, a slight irony registering in her voice, “Trust me, they have done this a thousand times. Dad and mom won’t let anything bad happen.”
“Of course, I do not question your parents’ bravery and skill, it is just,” Y/N took a deep sigh, “This dream really messed me up.”
“You refused to believe Tsahik’s vision from Eywa about you and Neteyam but you think a silly nightmare you had is a warning?”
“No,” Y/N blushed deeply at the mention of the vision, then casted her gaze downwards, “I do believe Tsahik now.”
The very idea that Y/N had strongly opposed was now tinged with an unexpected delight. The thought of the Great Mother orchestrating the entire situation to bring her and Neteyam closer together sent such a pleasant shiver down her spine. Thankfully, before Kiri could tease her about the open admittance, Tuk interrupted, kneeling in front of them and placing a string of beads and blue feathers in Y/N's lap.
“Here! Lo’ak said it will be too long but you’re tall, right?” Tuk’s eyes twinkled with excitement.
Y/N couldn't suppress a snort of amusement, grateful for the momentary distraction. She let Tuk place the necklace around her neck in two layers, even though it was still overly long and disproportionate for an adult Na'vi. As Y/N stood up, the feathery necklace cascaded down to her hip bone. But it was surprisingly complimenting her tall frame.
"Well, Tuk, what do you think?" Y/N attempted a half-hearted twirl, earning a genuine laughter from the little girl.
“That looks nice!” a male voice chimed in, and all eyes turned towards the entrance.
It was Jake, walking in with a knowing smile, already recognizing the handiwork of his youngest. Y/N's own smile faded instantly, her heart pounding in her chest as she anxiously scanned the room for a familiar face. One after the other, Neytiri and Lo'ak entered, carrying items, retreated from the mission, but the commotion of Tuk running to her parents and their concerned inquiries to Kiri began to fade into the background. Y/N's eyes locked onto the man she had been worrying about the entire day, and her knees were ready to give out at the mere sight of him.
Neteyam, visibly exhausted and weary, entered the room carrying the remaining weapons they had retrieved. When his eyes met Y/N's, they lit up with a sudden glow. Without hesitation, she leaped towards him, and though his arms were still occupied with unfamiliar items, she wrapped her own around his neck with a sigh of relief.
“Thank Eywa, you’re okay!” Y/N tightened her grasp, burying her face in the crook of his neck.
Neteyam, taken aback by the sudden affection, took a brief moment to set aside the items he was carrying and hugged her back. A toothy joyful grin quickly made its way to his face.
"I'm more than okay," he chuckled, his heart melting from the warmth. He almost didn’t even notice the way his family watched the whole interaction with teasing smiles.
He rolled his eyes at his father, who gave him an approving nod, but couldn’t ignore the way his heart raced in sync with Y/N’s. The lines of worry and exhaustion that had been etched onto his face throughout the heavy mission began to fade away within the comfort of her arms.
“So grandmother was right,” Lo’ak mumbled with sarcasm, though the nature of Y/N’s and Neteyam’s relationship had been predicted by the whole family since a few weeks ago.
“They like each other, right, mom?” Tuk's voice echoed loudly through the room, pulling Neteyam and Y/N back to the present moment. Neytiri, her eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and affection, nodded in response to her daughter's question.
Y/N quickly unwrapped herself from Neteyam, an awkwardness finding a way into the air. She gave him a sheepish apologetic smile but his gentle smile in return sent a pleasant warmth to her cheeks. Hastily, she averted her eyes, settling them on the family.
“Come on, let’s give them some privacy guys,” Jake pretended to be serious about it, but not even he could hide the excitement in his own tone, “We’ll go to Tsahik for a check-up and will be back soon.”
Like toddlers, one after the other, Neytiri rushed her kids out. But all of them still kept those teasing, mischievous expressions on their faces. Even Lo’ak, who had barely shown any interest in the arrangement since its beginning, dealing with his own difficulties with his parents, couldn’t help but snicker at his brother, knowing exactly what he was going to joke about later, when they were alone. On his way out, Jake gave them a final nod.
“Y/N, you’re staying with us tonight, right?”
Awkwardly, she could only nod back.
Once the tent was empty, Y/N took a moment before finally turning around to face Neteyam. He still had that soft look on his face that made it dawn upon her how much she missed him. And that maybe she loved him?
Simultaneously, Neteyam’s eyes traced her face, then the blue caught his attention and as he took in the obnoxiously long necklace around her neck adorned with big blue feathers, his breath got stuck in his throat.
“Is that yours?” he asked suddenly.
“Oh, yeah, Tuk gave it to me,” she answered a little confused.
The vision from his Dream Hunt suddenly felt complete - the tall beautiful woman standing next to him, a long necklace hanging low from her neck. It was supposed to be Y/N! The woman he had been obsessed with the idea of, that Eywa herself had chosen for him, wasn't just a mere concept of a destined mate; it was Y/N, standing right beside him.
a/n: pls ignore if this is poorly written, i didn't spend enough time on proofreading this, so?? anyway, prepare for more fluff for the finale :)

Requested: Nah.
Pairing(s): Asra x Top Male Reader
Warning(s): Some Angst, Flashbacks, Mentions of heartbreak, Sudden confession, Cliffhanger, Long, Sister Nadia.
A/n- I brought this over from my Wattpad, and I edited it a bit but this is the longest One-Shot I've ever made, just fifty words away from three thousand :")).
_______________
A frustrated groan slipped past my lips as I fumbled with the sleeves of my costume, it may sound silly but its true. I refuse to wear anything that could reveal my torso, besides my face of course but that's only because its not covered in ink. Now don't get me wrong, the art adoring my body is nothing but beautiful, yet some of its a bit much for the public eye, and I hate attention. Guess Muriel and I are the same in that regard. After adjusting the sleeves I slipped on my rings and emerald necklace that clung tightly around my throat, which didn't bother me in the slightest bit as I drag my pierced tongue over my bottom lip. Finishing up with a few things I quickly locked up my house and headed on my way to the palace, Nadia had invited me over for the Masquerade this year since the last one ended with Lucio and the Devil trying to take over.
I really have to admire that apprentice, their magic is quiet fascinating. With a small smirk I slipped on my wolfs mask, nothing original but the black and vibrant neon of purple and green helping it stand out, even if only by the slightest. The journey to the palace was quite fun, watching people light up fireworks and drink to their hearts content without a worry in the world. Yet it was a whole new world once I entered the palace gates, making my way towards the ball room in hopes to run into my sister, but Nadia is nowhere to be found. "Should've expected as much, she is the Countess after all" I muttered with a proud smile, if only my familiar where here to keep me company but sadly having a grey wolf in this crowd isn't such a good idea, poor thing would be trampled despite her large size.
Taking a glass of wine I sipped it slowly, enjoying the bubbly feeling of it going down my throat. Yet a slither around my ankle caught my attention, and I froze at the sight of a familiar snake, looking up at me with their cute tilted head. "Friend!" Faust cheered, happily slithering up my body to rest on my shoulders, "Yes Faust, it's good to see you again" A pained smile forced at my lips, scratching softly under Faust's chin. If Faust's here then Asra and his apprentice must be close by, I should've expected as much. "Miss you" My heart tightened at the words, forcing the breath out my lungs painfully, and here I thought I could enjoy the Masquerade without running into anyone else, but I guess even an over packed Masquerade can't hide me from them. "I missed you too Faust-" My words were cut off by a familiar voice, merely a couple feet behind me, yelling for the beautiful creature wrapped around my shoulders.
"Im sorry Faust but I really should be leaving, please don't tell Asra I was here alright?" I asked as worry started to pool in the pit of my stomach, however Faust simply tilted her head, watching me curiously. Nevertheless I made a slow pace to the exit, not wanting to rise any sort of suspicion as Asra yells a bit louder. And there he is, my savior. Putting on a small smile I took a drink from a waiters tray, walking up to Julian without seeming any bit out of place, then once the right moment hit I brushed my shoulder against his and shrugged Faust onto him, not once turning back to look at them. However I knew I wasn't out in the clear just yet since a pair of eyes followed me as I left the room.
Being out in the hall felt a lot better then being so close to him. Especially when I'm not ready to face him just yet, hell I don't even think I have the power to look at him without freezing up, how stupid of me to think I could come back here. "[Y/n]?" The sound of Nadia's voice finally got me to relax a bit, letting the tension in my shoulders drop, "Hey Sis, it's been a while" I smiled down at her, watching as her eyes soften before pulling me into a tight embrace that I gladly returned. "Where'd you go? You told me that you were going to talk to Asra after what happened with Lucio and the Devil but it was only him that came back, he said he didn't know where you ran off to and when I tried to ask what happened he'd never answer!" Her crimson eyes glare up at me as they slowly fill with tears that I quickly brushed away.
"Its okay Nadi, Im back now and I plan to stay, I missed my little sister way to much to be gone for so long" I chuckled, trying to lighten up the mood even only for a second, before she looks at my costume with not very well hidden disgust. "You've really never had an eye for fashion have you?" She sighs, taking my hand and dragging me down the hall where Portia was standing. Once her eyes met mine her face lit up in realization, "[Y/n]! You're back!" She jumped up to hug me, which I returned with a ruffle of her long hair.
"Portia could you please get my dear brother to one of the guest rooms so he can change?" Nadi smiled and Portia couldn't have answered any happier, "Yes milady! Now c'mon [Y/n] lets get you a new costume!" She cheered, dragging me away by the sleeve of my shirt. Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew this wasn't going to end well, and by the time I was pushed in the room with a new set of clothing I knew I was right. The clothing was way to revealing for my liking, even though the color and fabric made me look elegant and right at home. The top exposed my arms and most of my chest, the 'V' stopping right above my waist which the pants hugged tightly, yet the rest of it was baggy except the bottom of it, which also hugged my ankles nicely.
But my tattoos and scars were out in the open. The skulls, flowers, and chains that decorate my body glowed a faint blue color, as if cheering that they were finally free from my always concealed clothing.
I didn't want to wear it, every part of my mind was screaming to tear it off but I couldn't. My sister picked this out for me and this is her party, I'll do it for her if not for myself. Sliding my mask back on I headed out the room, looking down at Portia with a nervous smile as she stared at the art in wonder, "I never knew you had these!" She pouted, looking as If I had betrayed her somehow. I could only reached out and pat her head, trying to ignore the eyes that locked onto me, "Im not very fond of them, so I always hid them, Im sorry for not telling you sooner." She merely rolled her eyes and smiled at me before realization yet again broke on her face, "I need to go tell the rest you're here! Stay put!" My eyes widened as I tried to stop her, but she was already out of reach before I could, and the slithery presence was back at my feet.
"Friend!"
Fucking hell.
At that moment I felt the fight to run away slowly drain from me, I knew I couldn't avoid him forever, no matter how hard I tried. Even so, with what resistance was left in me I headed towards the garden with Faust resting peacefully on my shoulders, and stayed put by the fountain, letting my eyes flutter shut for a mere moment.
_____
My palms started to sweat as I looked down into those mesmerizing lavender eyes that watched me with an amused glint, "Asra I-" The words got caught in my throat for the millionth time now, and even I was getting impatient with myself. But can you blame me? Asra looked so majestic under the moonlight, with the stars that practically glowed in his eye's, I don't think I've ever thought it was possible to feel so relaxed and intimidated at the same time.
"[Y/n], are you okay?" He asked, his voice barley above a whisper as he slowly reached up, softly brushing his fingers against my cheek. A flutter in my chest caused the chains on my body to recoil slightly, and thankfully he didn't notice the change, "No, I just can't hold it in anymore Asra" My hand clenched tightly on my sleeves, nearly causing them to rip while Asra brushed a lock of hair of of my face. "Hold in what?" He smiled, but my eyes drifted to his chest, looking where the mark on his heart is hiding, causing me to reluctantly pull away from his touch.
It was a simple friendly gesture he's always done to calm me down, to bring me back from whatever clouded my thoughts. So when I pulled away he reached out again, slower this time, as if any rushed movement would send me away. "Asra stop" He looked a bit shocked when I grabbed his wrist, but my grip was gentle, cause I'm more afraid of hurting him than anyone else. However the negative thoughts practically swallowed my mind whole as I rejected his magic from flowing into me. The mark on his chest was the only thing I could look at, cause it reminds me everyday that he gave up some of his heart for his apprentice, to bring them back. Jealousy truly is a cruel thing.
"Nevermind, it was foolish of me to think I even had a chance" I whispered with a bitter chuckle, taking a step back I crossed my arms, turning my broken gaze towards the sky. "Forget it, just go back to your apprentice, they need you more than I do" I don't know why my words came out laced in such malice and sorrow, but they did, and that seemed to earn a glare back from him. "What's wrong with you? Ever since you found out about my deal its like all you want to do is run away from me and push me away, if you have something to say to me then go ahead and say it, but do not drag them into this."
The chain around my neck tightened, slowly crushing at my windpipe as I clenched my fists and smiled softly to myself. I knew I'd regret what I did next, I knew it would weigh on me forever, I knew it would cause me much more pain then it did right then, but I did it anyway. Ill have to thank Ilya if this works, putting on my best face I turned towards Asra and scoffed, tilting my head a bit, like I usually do when pissed off, even though this is just a lovely facade. "Don't even bother, its not like you'd care anyways, would you? All you care about is that apprentice of yours, you even gave up part of your heart for them" I let the words flow, nearly letting the tears pool in my eyes when I spat them out.
"Is that really what you think?" He hissed, knuckles turning white from how tightly he was grasping his sleeves, but I didn't let myself falter under his gaze. "Asra I don't have to think it when I know its true, we've known each other since we were kids, you can't fool me" I scoffed, glaring back into his lavender eyes, keeping that gaze was a lot harder then I thought it would be. Before he could speak up I made sure to cut him off, "You love 'em, that's the only reason you'd do it right? Because you love them? Let me guess, you couldn't live without them could you?" I rolled my eyes, looking off to my left, practically feeling his breath hitch for a moment, confirming what I needed to know.
Im sorry Asra.
You don't have to forgive me.
Because I highly doubt these chains will go anywhere, I can never be free. Even with you by my side, the one person that keeps me together, the one person that I'd risk everything for.
Im so sorry.
"Just leave already, its not like you want to be here anyways right? So just leave me alone, I don't want you here."
_____
I don't remember much after that, but I do know he left, and I was left alone to wallow in my own despair. The chains got tighter over the year, so tight that the only thing keeping me breathing is all the techniques I've learned, and the fact I learned how to hold my breath for a long while. A few tears slip past my [E/c] eyes, that Faust happily wipes away with her tail, rubbing her face against my cheek, "Friend!" She smiles, curling against me, it felt so good to have her around again. Even if this'll be the last time.
The chains tighten a slight fraction, forcing me to hold my breath. "[Y/n]?" My body tensed at how my name rolled off his lips, it felt like a distant dream, like this isn't actually happening, but one look at him and I know its real. My god has he always looked so gorgeous? Or am I going crazy? Probably both. Once [E/c] met Lavender I knew I was done, his hairs pushed back like last year though the mask kinda looks the same, with only a few added touches, and his costume definitely gets him to stand out above the rest, just a beautiful array of bright colors clashing against his mixed skin, it hugs his figure perfectly. He looks like a god amongst the light of the fountain.
"Its me" I sighed out, reluctantly turning my gaze back to my feet. I couldn't help the surprise when he moved in front of me, placing both hands on my cheeks, looking into my eyes with such relief that I could hardly believe it. His touch sent shivers down my spine, slowly I started to breathe again as the chains retract a bit, I had clearly forgotten how revealing my clothes are, cause once the chains pulled back Asra's eyes shifted to them. "How long have you had these?" He asked, trailing his hands down to trace the marking with a soft touch, "Asra wait-" Yet the mark appears, the same one he has, just mine glowed a faint blue in the center of my chest.
His eyes widened seeing the mark, keeping his eyes on it as if it were to attack at any moment, "You've never had chains, its always been your skulls and flowers, is it because of this? Why didn't you tell me about this?" He looked hurt, the same hurt in his eyes that he had a year ago when we last talked.
"What was your deal?"
Oh how I wanted to tell him, but the chains tightened at the thought, yet I pushed through it, Im tired of lying, I'm tired of keeping everything in, Im tired of it all, "That I couldn't be open anymore, that I wouldn't be able to speak my mind freely like I once did." A small cough ripped out my throat as a blue glow tried to burn past the chains, failing miserably. "What? Why?" He looked stunned, I don't blame him, I've always been one to speak my mind and tell everyone how I'm feeling, to be honest to myself and them without a care about what others thought.
But..
"I was scared, there's something I've always wanted to say, but I never could because I've always been so afraid about what would happen after, what if it went wrong? What if I messed up? What if I said something wrong? What if you-" My mouth snapped shut as quickly as it could, now I certainly can't avoid this, cause those lavender eyes stare at me with such intensity I might just burn away. His hands slowly moved up to my neck, letting his magic aid in pulling the chain away from my neck, allowing me to breath freely. "What about me?" He asked softly, keeping his gaze fixed on mine as my hands unconsciously travel to his hips.
I guess it's now or never..
Building what up whatever courage I had left, I pulled Asra against my chest, using one hand to push his mask out the way, before claiming his lips with mine.

the best thing to hold onto in life is each other.
you kept on telling yourself that everyday, but now it seemed to be just words. they didn't mean anything to you now. ever since you lost will, you had lost everything. all the highest and happiest moments in your life were with will, and now that he's gone, well.. there's nothing that can really get you back to yourself.
flashback:
"a walk over the fields is always just what i need at this point of night." wilbur said "it warms you up and of course the stars are amazing out here."
"you seriously love the stars!!" you said, interupting and laughing, not moving off the grass.
"are you taking the piss?" he said, smiling.
"no, no" you said. "but this is like the fifth time you've mentioned them!"
looking back at all the memories with will, you felt sad but also angry. how dare he leave you at a point where you were really struggling? he was always there for you whenever you needed anything. literally anything. he would always protect you and it honestly was kind of annoying but you soon got used to it and realised that he meant well :')
flashback 2:
“It’s pouring rain, why are you here?”
“I didn’t know where else to go.”
"well come on in!! your going to freeze to death out there for gods sake." you said pushing him in before closing the door behind you both. "you really suprise me in the weirdest possible ways."
"so? i wanted to see you, i missed you.."
"aww.. yeah i was watching your stream and how you couldn't stop babbling on about me."
quick flashbacks
“‘because you’re pretty, and you’re smart and you’re… ignoring me, so you’re obviously my type.”
-
“pretty boy, with me!”
(…) “oh, I’m pretty boy?
-
“wuit smiling at me, I can’t stop messing up my sentences when you look at me like that.”
-
“you’re an idiot.”
“but you love me.”
-
“keep it. it looks good on you.”
(a few weeks later)

suddenly you got a notification, you checked and saw that it said 'wilbur soot posted a video: your sister was right lyrics

youtube
I thought I couldn't love anymore
Turns out I can't, but not for the same reasons as before
I use everyone I ever meet
I can't find the perfect match
Abuse those I love
While I ostracize the ones who love me
Back
On the path of least resistance, I find myself salting the Earth
Every time that I miss you
I feel the way you hurt
And I don't deserve you
You deserve the world
Though it feels like we were built
From the same dirt
I hate to say it
But your sister was right
Don't trust English boys
With far too much free time
And I hate to say it
But your sister was right
I'm nothing but a problem
Leave you crying overnight
And I hate to say it
But your sister was right
I can't focus on the future only my short sight
I hate to say it
But your sister was right
I'm a wanker
Complete wanker
A fucking waste of time

𝔴𝔞𝔯𝔫𝔦𝔫𝔤𝔰: cliffhangers | angst | drabs | teaser for future series | prompt fic
Some things never change.
I met her on a sunny day. The leaves had not yet turned their shade of red, and the flowers were in full bloom. She was laughing, lost in her world amongst the flowers. Even then she was beautiful. I remember the way her hair sparkled its soft shade of red in the setting sun, the way her cheeks turned pink at even the slightest sign of a smile, the way she resembled light and love...the way she still does.
Father had warned me against meeting her, he told me that I had obligations which she could not be a part of. We were born to stay separate. She was born to never know me. I was born to stay away.
But I had to see her at least once, I had to meet her.
I should've known that she would only be hurt in the end.
Maybe I shouldn't visit her now. Maybe I should erase her from my memory. Maybe this was how it was meant to be.
But I can't do that. I can't leave her alone.
Not even now.
A soft call from a raven who waits on the branches of a giant oak which protects where she now sleeps breaks me out of my thoughts. I smile softly before looking up into the tree, though it may be bitterly.
"Hello, Taehyung."
At the mention of his name, he narrows those pitch-black eyes and flies off the branch, transforming into a man. Standing next to her, like the protector he was meant to be, he narrows his eyes. His hair black like his feathers, his cloak as majestic as his wings, he doesn't say a word.
Any familiarity we may have had with the other is gone now.
"Did you know I was coming?" I ask him, weary to move forward.
"I'm still your familiar, master. Of course, I knew."
Though he may have been my familiar in the past, that contract was broken long ago. He now serves one purpose, and it's a lost one.
But at least he knows his purpose.
Can I say the same?
"I'll leave you to speak with her." He murmurs before transforming once more and flying away. Not far enough that he won't be able to watch over her, but far enough so that I can speak to her without any interruptions.
Once he's gone, I'm left alone with her.
But there are no words left to say.
Biting my bottom lip, I kneel before her and offer up the flowers I've brought from my garden. The garden I first saw her in, the garden where I was reunited, the garden where she left.
How can one have so many memories, and then be lost every time they were together? How can she be marked on my heart, and yet every time I visit her, it's as though it's for the first time?
Even though I can remember every curve to her face, even though I could tell you the very color of her, even though I could describe to you in extensive detail the movement of her lips, the flutter of her eyes...
...I still long to see it one last time.
"I wasn't made to know you," I murmur, hardly even able to raise my eyes to her. I made this resting place, and yet I cannot bear to lay eyes on it. I can't bear to come to the reality that she is no longer able to stay by my side.
"Did you know that?" I chuckle, remembering her strong spirit, her laugh. "I'm sure you did, but you never cared."
Why do you trust fate?
"You never believed me."
I was made to defy fate.
"If I had told you this would happen...then would you have stayed away?"
I make my own path.
"Then would you have been safe?"
And it just so happens that I want you to be a part of it.
I didn't know tears until I met her. And on the day she left, I thought that all my tears had been used up. I thought that would be the last time I allowed myself to cry.
If that were the case, then why are my cheeks wet?
Is this what they call...despair?
Grief?
"I came here to tell you that I won't be visiting anymore." I swallow hard, staring at the flowers, and watch as the harsh wind pulls some of their petals from the stem. Leaving them to make their path on the current of the wind.
"I've decided that I'm going to move on."
One day I won't be here anymore.
"You told me to be happy."
I just want to know that you'll be okay.
"So I'm going to try my best to find what that means."
Swallowing hard, I hesitate for a moment, my hand shaking before I grab hold of the porcelain edges and pull the mask off of my face. Holding it gently in my two hands, I stare at it. It holds so many years of pain and suffering, hides a part of myself that I wish I could forget.
And yet it also reminds me of her.
"You know...every time I think of you I'm in pain."
Memories of her laugh, the sunlight sparkling off of her hair, the flowers in bloom, and her sweet voice echoing over the walls of the castle in which I reside. A prison which she turned into a home.
A home that has broken with her absence.
The mask used to hide a person who I wished had never existed. But now it is useless, because with her...
I am grateful to be alive.
"But I don't want to forget you."
I smile before placing it next to the flowers.
Today is a sunny day. The leaves have not yet turned their shade of red, and the flowers are in full bloom. It's a beautiful day, and on the breeze, I can almost swear I hear her whisper, a ghost of a laugh that will continue to live on in my dreams. For she will always be dancing, even if it's not with me.
And though it kills me, I smile.
I'm unable to forget the tears, unwilling to forget her.
Because even after all this time...
"I still want you."
note: hope you enjoyed! you may see this again after a while, but right now don't worry I'm going to focus on Infinite Stars ^^ tell me if you'd like to see more.
