i saw a lot of tkkrs on twitter saying that jimin was sent by hybe to tae's Music Bank recording because of two reasons: 1. because jk is unable to go and someone needs to go to maintain the ot7 is family agenda, and 2. because of all the discourse surrounding vmin lately and the jokes about their 'divorce'

and all i got to say is no one was saying shit like this when hobi, yoongi and jimin were going around supporting each other and other members. this discourse about support being fabricated by hybe started during jk's solo era when jimin went to NY (which is something he has done before willingly and has nothing to do with schedule, even if they happened to film something there) and continued to tae's solo era. but when tae went to jk's inkigayo recording none was said about hybe family agendas. and if jk went to tae's recording it would still be nothing about that topic. only when jimin goes to support one of the maknaes specifically it's suddenly fake, scheduled, and he was sent by hybe.

jimin went to tae's recording because that's his friend and they've been friends for over a decade. jimin went to jk in NY because at that point, there were no other stages scheduled for jk that jimin would be able to attend other than GMA, which was unfortunately cancelled and resulted into us not seeing his support in action; but he didn't go just to film whatever him and jk filmed together. i'm 99% sure that was a result of him just being there, since jk has been documenting his solo journey since April and jimin being in NY would make him part of said documentary when it's eventually released.

so all i wanna say is that if people want to pick and choose which moments of support are more real, they at least should try to not make it obvious that they would only question the ones that involve jimin, and making it seem like he had ulterior motives or was there for a schedule, when jimin has been consistently one of the only two members who showed up for everyone (him and jhope). and it's not unlike him to travel to a different country just to be there for a friend. had it been tae or jk doing so for each other yall would be writing books of poetry on the type of love and unconditional support they share. and had they done so for others it would be a token of how much of great friends they are to those around them

The everlasting problem is, that whenever Jimin and Jk or Jk and Tae interact the respective fandoms create a sort of competetive atmosphere. I think Tkkrs would have no trouble with Jimin and Jk hanging out in any capacity if Jkkrs would not directly come into our spaces gloating and making up narratives about them "having dates in NY" (granted, Tkkrs also should not go looking for Jkkrs narratives themselves by visiting their blogs if they get too annoyed by that). Basically, having two ships with Jk in it creates this problem. Both cannot be true, so any time something Jkk happens Jkkrs try to claim victory, and any time something Tkk happens Tkkrs claim victory. That is what makes for annoying discourse, it's not actually those members interacting... it's fandom's reaction to it. It sucks, I don't know how to fix it... only that I personally do not join in on the Jimin hate and I will speak out on it if people send it to my blog.

The other side of it though.. is that I also think people should not directly get defensive by the mention of something being business. I have no clue atm if Jimin was only there to visit Jk or if he lso had some business to attend to himself. To me the latter would not take away anything about the closeness I feel the members have between themselves. I know that is what some try to do when they say Jimin was only in NY for business, but things can also be both. To me it's all the same in the end, whether Jimin was there just for Jk, or for business, or for a combination... it has no effect on how I view their friendship.

I saw a chart today that found that over 1/4 of bts Spotify followers are chapter 2 fans and I thought it was really interesting how people are being drawn in by solo works (presumably) and then become invested in the group despite probably not ever seeing them perform live. From what I can tell, this doesn’t seem to be the case with other groups’ solo/group work engagement, or at least not to that extent. I think taemin is one of the most popular solo K-pop artists I can think of but, while shawols from what I can tell are staunchly ot5, taemin also seems to have a very large solo fan base that are not shawols, and the general interest in him may actually outnumber the interest in shinee these days. I don’t really pay much attention to other groups fanbases but I’d be curious if you had any impression of whether this is unique in K-pop. No pressure if you have no idea though!

I think there are probably several reasons for that. Some things to consider:

I don't really know how they obtained those statistics. I assume they divided the amount of Spotify followers BTS gained during or after June 2022 by the overall number of followers? Or was all of 2022 considered chapter 2?

Most chapter 1 Armys entered the fandom after 2017, particularly after 2019, and especially after 2020. I imagine BTS must've gained around half of their Spotify followers alone throughout 2020 and 2021. Chapter 2 began mid-2022, after their famous Grammys performance. BTS were, and still are, reaping the success of the English trilogy and My Universe. Also, when BTS announced they were enlisting, there was a lot of media coverage, not just in SK (I remember Trevor Noah talking about it), which drew attention to BTS. The members' individual songs and collabs, such as Dreamers, L&R, LC, Seven, etc. also drew attention to the BTS name, since any member is introduced first as being BTS. Same with fashion deals.

Those quarter of followers didn't necessarily join because of the members' solo works. In fact, I'd bet a lot of people only found BTS's solo projects because they recognized the BTS name - case in point, my lovely non-Muggle Army who got into BTS after checking out JK's GMA performance because she remembered BTS's old 2019 GMA performance.

I think it's quite hard to estimate the number of fans who became Army simply because they noticed one of the members and then checked out the group. They probably checked out that member because they knew BTS. It's like a "which came first, the chicken or the egg" thing.

25% doesn't seem like a surprising figure. BTS only became truly mainstream in 2020 and the more the years pass the more mainstream they become. Each year they stick around is another year of people realizing BTS are here to stay, and their ability to retain and attract new fans is undeniable. Imo, it's hard for non-kpop fans to find most of the members' solo works. J-Hope, Suga, Jimin and Jungkook were the only ones who did big overseas promotions (Lollapalooza, Jimmy Fallon, GMA, Radio One, NBA, touring, NYE performance, etc.).

I don't know what I'm saying atp lmao. I think those 25% are not all solo fans or fans who became solos first. Only half of those probably became Army exclusively through any of the members' solo work - most likely Jungkook's. I mean, solo era has done a lot for BTS as a group because it's kept their name alive in people's minds, thus leading to a lot of people discovering the group. It's always Jungkook of BTS, Jimin of BTS, etc. None of the members is being separated from the group brand. Even if you listen to Seven without knowing Jungkook is a BTS member, you will quickly realize that BTS is "only" the biggest group on the planet, which is a sure fire way to decide to check out the group, and not just Jungkook, right? And if you want to see more of Jungkook you will naturally check out BTS content too, since there's a very limited amount of solo content.

The point above shows the difference between Taemin and Jungkook/any BTS member. When I started listening to kpop I kept hearing about Taemin, the father of kpop. I knew he was a SHINee member but as a soloist he was just as legendary, if not more so, as Shinee. It's quite different with BTS. Everyone knows BTS. SHINee weren't active in the years Taemin became a powerhouse performer, but BTS don't have to be active to be very famous - their reputation precedes them, and every member is BTS, there's no separating the member from the group. People who learn about Jungkook, for example, already know BTS or quickly learn that BTS is much bigger than him. That isn't the case with Taemin. He's just as famous as SHINee, but BTS is more famous than Jungkook, or, more accurately, Jungkook is most famous as a member of BTS. Taemin is a rare gem in kpop, he's one of the few really successful male soloists, and he contributes a lot to kpop. He *is* kpop. His fellow members aren't. SHINee, by comparison, are just an iconic boy group - even if they're active, they're not changing the game the way Taemin still. Their appeal is limited to new fans (though now that they're active again, it's a bit different). BTS are the group. Jungkook's success would only make people curious about the group he's from. They'd be like "Ah, so Jungkook is a member of the famous BTS I keep hearing about?". Idk, there's a difference haha.

I really don't know in general. Very few soloists are more famous than their groups or have successful careers alongside their groups. Hwasa is an example I can think of, but most of her fans are Mamamoo fans too, I think. Same for the BP members. I think it depends on how popular the group is, and how active? Baekhyun is pretty popular solo, like Taemin, but, like Jungkook, he's undoubtedly known as a member of a legendary group just as much as he's known for his solo work. I think Taemin is probably a bit of an exception? Like Taeyeon, for example, but Girl's Generation aren't active anymore...

Why Jikook Shippers still exist...

I ask myself this question every single day darling- why do people still ship Jikook when Jikook is more than a ship? They should be supporting them not just shipping them.

Also, I don't think real Jikook supporters support Jikook just because they interact. Those are the shippers. The trad shippers as I like to call them. I support Jikook because they are queer first and foremost and secondly because they are in love with eachother.

Just because they 'don't interact' in a moment, on camera, don't make them all of a sudden straight. It doesn't work like that.

Jimin is my bias and I know beyond a shadow of doubt he is queer. I love him more for it. I really love him more for it. You have no idea. I am not going to withdraw my support for him as an LGBTQ plus member in a conservative space just because he isn't interacting on camera with another member. That's just silly.

The love between them isn't going anywhere anytime soon. As long as they both want it and they both go out of their way to nurture it, it will always be there. I think that's what you should be paying attention to- whether or not they are nurturing their bond outside their interactions on camera during this period.

I've been saying, Jikook 'relax' in certain contents, act serious in others- as they should. They literally had the GMA performance before this shoot and people were screaming there was tension between them and what not and that JK seemed mad at Jimin. Mad bunny where?! Lmho.

The 'less open' one in that performance was JM not JK. To me. I felt he was putting up a tough exterior, acting like he don't kiss ass in that time period. Not sure if it was the haircut or his inner shadow hunter but something had shifted in him. Lol.

The Apartment is ready but the Recording Studio needs a contractor for the equipment installation. Jackie being on top of that, they start the gutting process next week. Everything else is being moved out today.

"Whoah!!! Be carful with that!!" Sam cries out in concern as she watches The Movers roughly handle an original, stretched Mapplethorpe.

"And I talked to Mikey, he'll be there no problem." Sam chimes in.

"You guys are fucking AWESOME. Thank you." Luna pulls them in for a three way hug. "I gotta go meet Petey." She informs them once they release. "You guys good without me?" She asks.

Both women nod. Giving promises of phones calls if there's any problems as Luna heads back towards the stairwell; popping another XR and two 30s during her descent. It shouldn't be THAT hard... They're only responsible for moving half of her life.

"Good luck with that, Rookie. I don't think Loons is doing any of us any favors right now." Colson sighs as he leans down to break.

"Shit. Speak for yourself, that's my homie, Dawg." Rook disagrees with him as he swigs his beer.

Luna meets Pete on The Delancey's rooftop bar. He's already sat when she walks in. Noticing her, he stands for them to hug Hello. His normal excitement clearly missing as she orders a drink.

"Yeah, Petey. I told you last night that I had an affair. I'm not proud of it but it happened." Luna shrugs as she fights back tears of guilt.

Your judgmental attitude towards me is really disappointing and if you're so worried about your FRIENDS than go make up with the one that's still in town. I'm outta here though." Realizing they need producers, Luna calls Slim. Then Snaps Colson. Setting her bag on the table, she pulls out supplies. Weed, whiskey, cigarettes and more weed. Popping another few 30s before laying her guitar back onto her body.

The Boys are getting ready to head to  Greenwich Village when Colson's phone goes off again. It's the message he's been waiting for. Telling The Boys he'll meet up with them later, he's out the door before they pay the tab.

"That's why you got us." Rook interrupts her while plunking down on the couch beside her and tossing an arm around her shoulders; he doesn't like the way Mike has been hanging around Luna either.

"We backed her on Nightmare and I produced Outlaw." Rook declares proudly while studying to the musician.

"That's cool, Little Man." Mike responds unfazed by Rook as he stands up. "Luna, you got my number if you wanna use it for anything. I gotta run though." He smirks at Rook as he leans down to peck her cheek.

"You want me to walk you out?" She offers.

"Nah, I'm good... I'll catch you around though." Mike smiles at her before heading for the door.

Watching the entire interaction, Colson follows behind him. Calling out his name, he catches him in the hallway right at the front door. Mike turns around unamused.

"You know we're engaged, right?" Colson questions him with an irritated tone.

"Yeah... And?" Mike cuts back while cocking his lip.

"AND? And I don't like the way you fucking act around her so back the fuck up." Colson snaps at him.

"Maybe it was... Maybe it wasn't... But DAMN if it didn't feel good." Colson walks back to the studio with a pep in his step for the first time today; having released a majority of his stress. "I never liked that motherfucker anyway." He thinks as he opens the door, looking to locate only Luna. Knowing in the back of his mind that her and Sam are gonna probably fuck him up for what he just did but he doesn't care. Fuck that Dude, he doesn't want him around Luna regardless of the cost.

"There's stuff!!" Rook exclaims pointing at the large, round arial rug, crates and boxes in The Living Room as they return to The Brownstone. Everyone but Luna is zooted, even Sam. "Yo!!" Check out these fucking chairs!" Rook continues to holler, now from The Study.

It's also stacked with boxes of Luna's books and vinyls. Having one wall with floor to ceiling bookshelves, she's looking forward to using them. Walking in, she finds Rook lounging on one of the two highback, purple velvet chairs she owns along with the exposed Mapplethorpe.

"What's up with that picture?" Rook asks as he accepts a beer from Luna.

"My grandfather shot it." She tells him proudly as they clink their beers together.

"It's really cool. Like the two flowers are reaching out for each other. Like death grasping for life." He says thoughtfully.

"I think that's what he was going for." Luna smiles to herself, admiring the exceptional piece.

Luna makes her way upstairs to the shower. Turning Fletcher on, she lights up a joint as she cuts up another two 30s and swallows two Xanax bars. "Seriously, I am so fucking tired, Col. Can I please just sleep. I promise I'll tell you everything." She pleads with him as the Xanax begins to take over.

"Okay... " Colson agrees as he kisses her forehead. "Lay with you?" He asks.

"There's no way you can lay down right now... Just come to bed eventually, please." Luna requests.

"Yeah." He promises "I love you." He tells her before taking her face in his hands and kissing her passionately.

"I love you too." She kisses him lightly on the lips again once they release before crawling off of his lap.

Dropping her towel, Luna climbs into their bed. Wrapping herself in the warm, custom blanket, she snuggles into the pillow with heavy exhaustion. Colson leans down and kisses her cheek. Dropping another I love you into her ear as she mumbles the same. She's out before he closes the door.

Sam and Mod begin trying to organize her vast collection but are making no sense. Baze gets caught up in a hardback limited edition entitled The Great Big Book of Rock and Roll. Slim and Colson are in awe when they open a box of her records. Sitting on the floor, they start going through them like little kids in a candy store. Rook's really flying and gets bored quickly, heading into The Living Room to beat his energy out on his new drum kit. Benny and AJ are the only chill ones as always. Maxed out in the purple chairs, they continuesly puff on and pass blunts to the other wackos. Luna sleeping through it all.

"Look, he had a really hard time with Justin and Luna's relationship too. We both did. Justin would disappear and we'd be looking for him with Luna. Sometimes we'd find him sometimes we wouldn't. Sometimes he'd call Pete, me or Izak on his own. Pete and Izak would hide him... It was fucked up." Sam shakes get head in dismay as her own heart breaks. "Justin would get clean, be good for a minute but then relapse all over again and she'd be a fucking mess. If anyone tried to paint their relationship as picture perfect to you than they didn't truly know them. Luna and Justin had a lot of problems." Sam admits to one of the first people ever; Colson seeming to have that effect on people.

"She doesn't really talk about him... I mean a little but I can tell it's restrained." He sighs.

"There's my Sammy Bam Bam!" Baze interrupts them with a grin as he opens the door.

"Make up with Pete." Sam pats Colson on the shoulder as she stands up to head inside with her boyfriend.

"Me neither." Pete agrees as he reaches for the second blunt and fires it up.

"You still don't get it, Colson. How many times do I have to tell you.. It's not the secret you told. It's that you TOLD a secret. Period. You don't seem to realize that I'm dirtier than a fucking affair... Fuck." Luna let's out an exasperated sigh. "Let's be honest. In the short time you've known me; I've committed coercion, shot a federal agent, am in the process of setting up an underground abortion clinic... Oh! "I don't know. You wanna say don't call Jax but are your stupid ass, jealous comments gonna get me popped one day?" She bites back as she fumbles for her cigarettes.

"Are you fucking serious?" He spits out as he starts to get angry with her. "What the fuck do you think I would do to you and what the fuck else are you doin' that's worse than what I already know? And where the FUCK are we going?" He demands as they continue to drive.

Luna's quiet for a long moment as she smokes her Newport. She's trying to keep herself calm and figure out exactly how to tell Colson about what things. Already having made her decision long before they got into the SUV to give up her biggest secret.

"Tell me, Luna." Colson asserts as he lights another joint.

"All in?" She asks him firmly as she looks over at him and holds his stare while he grabs her hand to reassure her. "I told you... I'm dirtier than you think. I own properties that clean money and stash shit for one of the biggest distributors on The East Coast." Luna admits in a hushed voice.

"It's for Tommy, isn't it?" Colson immediately snaps as his mind flashes back to his conversation with Benny.

"OH MY FUCKING GAWD!!" Luna can't help but scream. "You are so fucking hung up on other dudes that it's insane and probably what's gonna get me caught!" Luna stops. "How can you not see that I tell you more about myself WILLINGLY than any other human being on This Earth? That you know more about me than Justin ever did." Luna's lip trembles as tears escape from her eyes. "So, yeah... It started with Tommy but I have bigger associates now... " Luna shakes her head. "That's only a blip though. There is so much more at stake for me than that!" Luna slams her palms against the steering wheel in frustration as she begins to sob. "You have no fucking idea." She shakes her head again as her voice breaks.

"Then what is it, Luna?" Colson softens his tone with her.

Coming to a stop light, Luna turns her head and looks Colson dead in the eyes. Her hands are clutching the steering wheel so tightly that her knuckles are white. There's a look on her face he's never seen before. It's a mixture of sadness, pain and determination. Taking a shuddered sigh, Luna flicks her cigarette out the window. She finds herself begging The Universe that he won't betray her this time as she's about to tell only Colson her true intentions. Lighting her own joint, she inhales deeply and holds the hit in. Looking over at Colson, she studies him. He stares back, waiting for her words.

"I'm gonna kill Smurf." She states icily before turning away, releasing the brake and focusing on what's ahead. "Still wanna marry me now?" She asks, puffing on the joint without taking her eyes off of the road.

Why don't you think Louis son is his? I feel like all Louis stans are tinhats and that sucks for him

i mean………. this comes off really rude lol but im going to give you an answer. 

the MAIN reason is just the general reaction of everyone around the boys, including them, to it. like, even if they arent as close-knit as we were lead to believe, its kind of undeniable that they were friendly with each other, based on tour. and none of them congratulated louis?? ever?? so like, im getting a bit out of order but like, niall will congratulate ben and his wife for their baby, and post an instagram picture with the baby, when its literally a known fact none of them are best best friends with ben. nialls stated louis is his favorite so many times, but he… never congratulated louis at all? or even MET the baby? thats not even counting how he looked when the baby was brought up, which imo, was uncomfortable, but that can also just because its a personal matter, so. but anyway, even though they, according to the gp, are the least close in the band, harry didnt say anything?? regardless of my personal opinion about him, the fact that he ALWAYS made it a thing to acknowledge pregnant women in the crowd and always said he loved babies/wanted a family himself/etc, but didnt congratulate louis.. or acknowledge the baby AT ALL? thats shady lol. especially after the interviewer directly called him out at gma after louis confirmed it, he just. stayed mute. i dont really have any reason about liam specifically.. and then the crew/friends i know MOST of them congratulated him, but thats literally nothing!!!!!! compared to the band members not.

and then the next thing is louis’ general reaction, like obviously louis LOVES kids, we know this just from seeing him with young fans and his family, etc etc, i could go on forever. and im not denying hes been sweet with the baby, he definitely has, just, from louis, i’d expect him to post more about him, like he would be GLOWING because of this baby. and ofc hes tweeted about him and posted some pictures with him, but when the baby was brought up during interviews (before he was born), he was so. uncomfortable. like i get its a personal matter, but come on. louis would want the world to know about his child he would!!! his behavior after the birth was REALLY unexpected. and his familys reaction was quite odd too just in the fact that for such a close knit, baby loving family, like, i expected them to be so much more public about it. ofc i understand privacy concerns, but like, lottie and the twins have been posting so many pictures of just their friends babies so its ahdhdhf. idk. this paragraph got a little messy.

then like louis hasnt publicly been in la in MONTHS. and the last time he ever acknowledged freddie over social media was last month i believe? and it was proven that freddie was with the jungwirths. which he literally is most of the time. and personally, i think louis would try to see his child more, imo.

then lastly i dont really discuss whether briana was pregnant or not because frankly i dont care about the mother of the baby, i care about whether louis is the father or not, but regardless announcing the pregnancy at ten or eleven weeks is insane. its unlikely she even knew she was pregnant at that time, unless she was watching and taking tests pretty much daily. she had to be trying. y’know. but back to the point. there was absolutely no reason for it to be announced that early. especially if the father of the baby is a multimillionaire, currently on tour with one of the biggest bands in the world. thats controversy that they dont need, especially again if the baby is a product of a one night stand, which he is. and briana is not famous…….. nobody knew her. we have proof that louis can hide serious matters.. theres no reason he and his team couldnt hide briana’s pregnancy. and then the announcement came through the sun.. which typically has exclusives about the boys that are either all negative or personal life related. 

theres other reasons like the jungwirths social media and stuff but i really dont feel like getting into that because some of it cant even be confirmed but mostly everything i wrote is stuff that happened in the real world. so. those are my main reasons.
