tammy 2 catches me in the pawnee library, desperate for a piss.
she acts professional when in work mode, so she is completely sincere when she asks me, "do you need me to show you where the bathroom is, honey?" but by my flustered reaction she can tell I'm into this.
she looks around. we are alone, deep in the stacks. she leans in closer to me. "do you wanna piss yourself?"
"I, uh -"
"It's okay if you do, we've cleaned worse fluids out of this carpet, sweetheart." she runs her hand along my back, almost hard enough to bruise, but not quite. she traces my bra line, presses down to my waist, gropes my hip -
"yes," I say. "I wanna pee all over myself, I wanna make a big mess, like a helpless little piss slut."
"that's right, baby, you're not gonna make it to the toilet," tammy orders me. her hand has drifted down to my ass cheek, pinching, kneading it. I gasp and reflexively grope her breasts. Her other hand grabs the back of my head and pulls me close so she can whisper in my ear. "you'll be too busy eating me out to put your pee-pee where it belongs."
I groan in pleasure at the thought. I rub my thighs together, both to hold my pee in and also to quell the burning in my crotch. I unbutton her blouse, kissing the cleavage that is visible under her lacy red bra. I keep kissing my way down her torso, then hike up her tight black pencil skirt. she is not wearing any underwear beneath. I salivate at the sight of her hairy pussy. diving right in, I nuzzle and lick her hip bone, and then move to her upper thighs.
eventually she gets impatient. "come on," she growls, yanking my head up to her damp vulva.
I get right to sucking on her clit, and the stifled mewling sounds she lets out make my own clit throb. I gasp as some pee leaks out of me.
"I just peed a little bit," I confess.
"don't you dare," she whispers back, her tone harsh. "you are not allowed to piss your nasty little pants until you make me cum."
I squirm. "but I have to go really, really bad. I dunno if I can make it."
"hold it or you'll be sorry."
"I'll try."
I dive back into her wet heat, licking up and down her ample labia, teasing the whole area around her clit before practicing my literacy skills on it, so to speak.
tammy moans, quiet but intense, grinding on my tongue, her nails digging into the bookshelf she's holding onto for support. my hands are running up and down her legs as I eat her out, though one hand migrates up to her ass cheek and pinches it. I am rewarded with a sharp squeal.
More pee creeps into my panties. I can only hope she is too pleasured to notice.
I bear down on her clit with more intensity, and she starts swearing under her breath. "that fucking mouth of yours feels so goddamn good I'm rubbing my coochie juice all over your desperate ass face and you fucking like it don't you, you little slut, you don't wan-na - ahh! - pee in the toilet like a good girl, you wanna taste my pussy and piss all over yourself and make a puddle on the fucking carpet and be a messy slutty bitch - ohhhhh!"
her thighs are trembling, and I know she's almost there. I give her clit a few more sucks and she's gone, biting her forearm to stifle the cry she makes as she comes.
I relax and start pissing full force into my pants. with a loud hiss the wet patch on my crotch grows into streams of warm piss cascading down my thighs and onto my calves folded under my drenched butt. my puddle spreads around me, lapping onto her strappy heels.
"just look at this mess you've made," tammy says, still breathing hard from her orgasm. "when you walk out of here everyone is going to see you had a pee accident. they'll know that you can't hold your pee-pee in worth shit, they'll say you should be wearing diapers."
"I should wear diapers," I agree.
"we have a lot of potty-training books," she says, "maybe you should check some out before you go."
I swoon at the idea of being seen perusing potty-training books while wearing wet pants. "I'd love to," I say, "but first . . . may I please rub myself on your leg?"
"you wanna hump me like a dog?" tammy asks.
"yes, please! you got me so hot, and wet not just with pee-pee . . ."
"well . . . you asked so nicely, I guess you can rub your piss-soaked little cunt on my leg, if you're that desperate." she nudges my thighs apart, not bothering to be gentle with her pointy heel. "you needy piss slut"

It happened again. I got tired, burned out and exhausted from trying. Right now I'm starting to think it may really be my inability to stick to one single good thing in my life. I'm not sure though if I am simply just impatient or I easily give up on people or both. It sucks because I'm not even someone worth sticking around for. When people choose to stay, I find something I am not able to deal with for long. I'm writing this not to justify my poor choices in life but I would like to put it out there that when you're over 30, sometimes your priorities change. To put a little context, we grew up completely different (and yes you're right I should've given it more thought when I was starting to get to know him as a friend years back), I had a rough childhood, learned how to be street smart and all. I had no one to rely on, but myself. I would've wasted my life years ago but realized I want to rise from the rubbles of the world I was born into. I want a better life. Sure I didn't do all the smart things before but I worked hard to be where I am now. On the other hand, he always had an amazing life - supportive family, patient mom who gives him all the best even when he don't deserve it at times. It's true indeed that how children are raised will have a huge impact in their adult lives. This resulted in certain differences in how we handle life. He is definitely willing to compromise and I've seen him change some of the habits I disliked. I tried being patient and give support as much as I could. Of course I'm very much lucky to have someone who accepts me despite everything he knows about me. So why can't I do the same for him? 34 years of living - I put my hands up and say I'm simply weary from having to always take care of people. I want to be taken care of. I want firm decisions, realistic goals and effective plans. The sweet talks and handsome face just don't cut it in this harsh environment. Reality is at this age, I need stability and I could not wait for someone to be at par with the goals I have set for myself. Am I being too harsh for always wanting more? Maybe being alone is really what I am good at. I don't have to worry about anything else. I only have myself to look after. I've gotten used to it so much I cannot see myself even sharing my bed with someone else (my dog and cats are an exception of course). So I guess this is it. I don't want to try anymore. I just don't.

Oh my god, once again reminding people that Jews in the SWANA region being scared of being murdered if Israel is dismantled are not comparable to white Americans and Canadians being scared of indigenous sovereignty. The entire world, and that includes Muslim countries, has a very very long history of violently expelling and brutally murdering its Jewish communities; Israel itself has many, many refugees and descendents of refugees from other countries in Asia and Africa, countries that do not want those people back.
The comparison to white North Americans is absurd, cruel, and ahistorical; the claim that Jewish people lived in happiness and peace and safety in SWANA countries before Israel's founding is a complete fabrication and blatant victim blaming. Many of the countries surrounding Israel and throughout the SWANA region have Jewish populations that can literally be counted on one hand and that isn't because people just abandoned their homes and friends and communities to move to Israel for funsies, it's because many of them were brutally murdered or expelled from their homes, with the rest fleeing out of fear for when they would be next.
I am saying this as a Native person who is 100% in favor of indigenous sovereignty in my home country and who is fully against the treatment of Palestinians by the Israeli government. If you cannot acknowledge how antisemitism is still very much alive and an active danger to Jewish people all across the world and how many people fled to Israel specifically to escape violence, then you really cannot have any sort of meaningful conversation about Israel.

It all started as a joke.
I came aboard the Black Pearl in search of my sister, Elizabeth Swann, and her secret lover, Will Turner. It was no secret that they were travelling with notorious Captain Jack Sparrow and, although my parents did not exactly like Will Turner, they had sent me as a way to tell Elizabeth that they were giving her their blessing to marry Will.
Of course, the moment I - a single, young maiden that had often been described as “beautiful” by my suitors - stepped on to the ship, the captain himself couldn’t keep his eyes off of me. There was many a moment in which Elizabeth had to actually tell Jack that he was being too forward or too crass with me. I liked to play along with his games as well and would tease him back. My favorite way of teasing him was to call him “Captain” in a sarcastic manner.
The first time I said it was in response to Jack’s very bossy tone as he told Elizabeth and I to do something. “Oh, of course, Captain.”
I could see a fire light in his eyes even then as he looked at me. “What did you say?”
“Well, you insist that we on the boat here refer to you as your supposed title,” I had told him. “I was just saying it. I thought you would like that.”
“The way you said it,” he pointed out. “It wasn’t very...crewman like.”
“Oh, my apologies, Captain.”
The fire ignited in his eyes again, but he decided to leave it be this time and to go on to yell commands at his other crewmates.
That’s how it all started. It was just a joke, a way to poke fun at Jack without being too harsh. I used the nickname almost every time I saw him, and almost every time I could see a look on his face that was hard to understand.
That was, until I found myself bent over his desk moaning the original teasing nickname repeatedly.
I never expected to find myself falling for Captain Jack Sparrow. Elizabeth had told me many a story about his attempts at courting beautiful maidens, including herself despite her love for Will. The stories led me to believing that Jack was just a man who wanted to use then leave a woman. I wrote him off as nothing more than a scoundrel, a pirate captain. Oh, what a fool I was.
No one on the ship knew of our love affair, especially not Elizabeth. I loved my sister dearly and I knew she would never judge me for who I had fallen in love with, however I also knew she couldn’t keep a secret from our parents for the life of her, and the last thing I needed was to break my parents hearts by telling them that their youngest daughter had fallen in love with a pirate.
That’s why I continued to use the teasing nickname in such fashion in front of my sister, but every time I used it, I could see that spark of desire in Jack’s eyes.
There was one day that we were on course for some sort of treasure that Jack was dying to find.
“It’s been lost for hundreds of years,” he was explaining to Will. Elizabeth and I were trying to help some of the crewmen and overheard the conversation that both men were refusing to tell us. “Wealth and riches beyond your wildest dreams. You could buy over Elizabeth’s parents with that sort of money.”
“I don’t think anything could buy over Elizabeth’s parents at this rate,” Will joked. “But do you really believe it to be truth? I’ve heard it’s nothing but a - ”
“A pirate’s tale,” Jack finished. “A way to lead pirates to their deaths? I’ve heard those stories, too. But there’s only one way to find out.”
“Mad man is going to get us killed,” Elizabeth whispered to me. “He only cares for the riches he may get, he doesn’t think of the countless lives he’s risking.”
“Of course he doesn’t,” I responded. “Anything that will shower him in gold and recognition is his top priority.”
“What are you two talking about down there?” Jack called from his perch at the steering wheel.
Elizabeth and I shared a teasing glance before Elizabeth responded, “Just about how smart you are, my dear captain! This journey can only go right!”
Jack raised an eyebrow at the obvious sarcasm in Elizabeth’s voice before his eyes landed on me.
“We were discussing how much recognition you will get once you find this totally real treasure you’re looking for,” I said. I paused a moment before giving Jack a brief smirk as I added, “Captain.”
He shuffled a little, trying to make his lust seem like he was just annoyed with me and Elizabeth. I couldn’t help but smirk triumphantly at him before turning back to Elizabeth, who was also giggling.
“You both doubt me,” he finally said after a long stretch of silence, “but I’ll show you both, and this whole boat, that I am right and this treasure is real.”
He came down from his perch and walked into the room that was designated as “his office”, his eyes meeting mine for a split moment. “I’m going to study the map for some time, please do not disturb me.”
What he really meant was, No one else come disturb me, I will be fucking (Y/N)’s brains out.
I felt myself becoming tingly between my legs, a regular sensation that Jack was able to get out of me. I tried to keep a light look on my face, but it was hard to do so when all I wanted was to follow him into that room.
“You two should be kinder to him,” Will said, although he, too, was laughing. “He’s been kind enough to let us travel with him.”
“After trying to get under mine and (Y/N)’s skirts for a few months,” Elizabeth added. “He knows that we like him and that we are grateful for him. It’s just so easy to tease him sometimes.”
Tell me about it, I thought to myself.
“Maybe we should leave the captain alone to his mapping for a while,” Will said, wrapping an arm around Elizabeth’s waist. It was his only silent way of asking Elizabeth for what Jack was trying to get from me.
“Perhaps we should,” she responded and gave her husband to be a light kiss on his lips.
The two left without another word to me, which was alright by me. It meant that I didn’t have to make up an excuse as to why I was “disturbing” Jack when he asked me not to.
Once I was sure they were too busy with one another to notice me, I turned and raced for the door. I hastily did mine and Jack’s secret knock before shoving the door open. I was shocked to see that the room before me was empty - the desk where Jack usually sat waiting for me was empty, and there was almost no sight of him at all.
Before I could even consider why this had happened, the door slammed behind me and I felt someone take hold of my throat and shove me against the closed door. Jack’s lips met mine and I felt the familiar explosive feeling I had whenever we kissed. His hands were already roughly pulling at my skirt, trying to pull it up around my hips.
“Someone is impatient,” I breathed against his lips. “You told everyone not to disturb you, remember? You don’t have to be so fast and so rough.”
“But if I take you quickly once, I can take you again before anyone notices that we’re even gone.”
His dirty words ignited a fire in me. I giggled as he picked me up in his arms and laid me down on his desk. The poor thing had seen more of our action than any actual work that Jack had ever done. I was surprised that it was still standing after all this time.
I took hold of the back of Jack’s neck and pulled him in for another kiss. Our lips moved so perfectly with one another as his hands trailed up my bare legs, his cold rings leaving shivers where they trailed. I pulled at his pants, trying desperately to get them off. He chuckled against my lips, the vibrations running through my entire body.
“Who is the impatient one now?” he asked.
“Not like the great Captain to leave a girl waiting in her desire,” I teased, hoping the nickname would be used to my advantage.
Lucky for me, I knew that was the one thing that could break Jack. He roughly pulled at the strings around the back of my dress, causing it to loosen and fall off my body completely. Once my dress was a heap on the floor, Jack pushed me onto the desk so I was laying on my back. I watched as he undid his pants and pulled them down just far enough for his hard member to pop free. Just seeing how hard he was from the little amount of teasing we had been doing was enough to make me start dripping in anticipation.
I gasped as I felt him pushing himself into me. No matter how many times we had sex, I still continued to be shocked by how big he was. He made my eyes roll into the back of my head just by filling me with his hard cock.
His hand found my hair and he roughly pulled me up so my body was pressed against his. “What’s my name, love?”
“Captain,” I breathed, dying to move my hips against his to get some sort of friction between us. But I knew that would only result in him punishing me for being naughty.
My response earned me a few slow thrusts. I bit my lip as to not moan too loud, but it was hard to keep quiet during one of our rendezvous. They were often few and far between, leaving the two of us very pent up and needing of release when the time came.
“Say it again for me my pet,” he purred.
“Captain,” I moaned, wrapping my legs around his waist to pull him as closely as I could. “Oh, Captain.”
The grip he had on my hair tightened as he began to thrust into me more, now going at a quicker and more steady pace. I pressed my lips to his to try and muffle my moans, which were now starting to become loud enough for anyone who would be passing by to hear.
I moaned out the name a few more times, which led to me being laid back over the desk yet again with Jack leaning over me, his thrusts so rough now that the desk was being moved. I arched my back against him, trying to get him as far into me as he could go. One of his hands was gripping my thigh while the other was wrapped around my throat, pressing slightly against the sides every now and then, and causing me to feel lightheaded.
Jack was always able to hit a spot in me that made my brain turn to mush and my eyes roll back into my head. I could barley think straight when he was pounding that spot relentlessly inside of me, especially at that moment when the only thing I could feel was waves of pleasure rippling through my body.
I managed to pull my thoughts together enough to utter out a sentence, “I’m so close, Captain.”
“Let me feel you come undone around me, my pet,” he said. I could feel him twitching inside of me, indicating that he was close to finishing himself.
My fingers curled into the desk as I felt myself hitting my climax. My entire body seemed to curl in some way as I felt myself contracting around Jack. His hands slipped under my arched back, pulling my body up to press against him as he did his final thrusts and finished inside of me.
The aftermath of our love making rarely lasted long in fear of being caught. Jack held me for a short amount of time, kissing the top of my head and whispering sweet nothings into my ear, before he finally had to pull away from me and begin to redress himself. I pulled my dress back up.
“You mind tying me back up?” I asked him, turning around to present my still bare back to him.
He laced the strings through their proper holes and tied it tight enough that it would stay up, but not too tight to cause discomfort.
“Do you really think you’ll find that treasure you’re on route for?” I asked him once he was finished. “Do you think it’s real?”
“I choose to believe every treasure is real until proven otherwise,” he responded. “I know everyone on the ship thinks that I’m leading us to our deaths, but I truly believe there is something waiting for us at our destination.”
“Well, if you believe it then I believe you,” I said. “What do you plan on doing with your riches once you get them?”
“I’ll share them amongst the crew,” he started. “There’s supposedly enough to keep a dozen men from having to work for the rest of their lives, and I have just a little over a dozen men on this ship. What I keep for myself I’m going to use to get a better ship. The old Black Pearl is starting to see her end I’m afraid. And, with whatever is left, I intend to buy you a rock so big and so stunning that any royal woman would be jealous of it.”
He lifted my hand to his lips and gave my knuckles a soft kiss.
“You intend to marry me?” I asked him.
“Of course I do. Why do you seem shocked to hear that?”
I chuckled. “Well, the stories I’ve heard about the great Captain Jack Sparrow, none of them made it sound like he would ever settle down with a woman.”
Jack smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist, looking lovingly into my eyes. I could get lost staring into those beautiful eyes of his.
“A man must know when the right woman has come along,” he told me. “Especially a pirate. And the moment you stepped foot on my ship, I knew you were the right woman.”
“You sweet talker,” I said before pressing my lips to his. “When you do get me that ring, just know that I will say yes.”
“Of course, my love. And I cannot wait to have you to sail the seas with for the rest of my life.”

warnings: grammar mistakes fighting, cursing, mentions of death, panic attacks
A/N: listen to this song when you're at that part:
With heavy steps I enter the gloomy hospital, the warmth of the summer sun leaving immediately as the cold of the welcome hall engulfs me. The space is swarmed by people, some holding a ‘get better soon’ balloon, some leaning on others with saddened expressions. Humans have always bewildered me with their so called empathy. It’s one of the many emotions that confuse me senseless. Still, here I am, searching, wandering, feeling. Maybe this is as close to empathy as I can be. It is strange how in the hundreds of years that I roamed this earth, consuming varies souls, killing the innocent and the guilty, I was never able to even get close to feeling any kind of human emotion. It was until these two girlsshowed up from the depths of the air. I could sense they were a peculiar set, but they intrigued me like no human had ever done. It wasn’t even their pure hearted souls that lured me in, even now I still can’t lay my finger on it. All I know is that I would see them again, like they told me centuries ago. Of course it was up to me to fix their mess, but I somehow can’t stop myself from not caring. This is something I have to do. I lean my hands on the wooden desk of the receptionist and ask the question that I have asked for years on end, with all disappointing answers that lead me from one hospital to another.
“I am looking for two women who fell into a coma recently. Their names are [Y/N] [M/N] [L/N] and Jacqueline Merlinn Green.”
-
A chill ran up [Y/N]’s spine, the tension in between the two earls and their butlers becoming thicker and thicker. Alois was smiling and rambling about his latest trips, while Ciel absentmindedly tapped his fingers on the table in an impatient manner. [Y/N] had moved to stand in the middle of Ciel and Elizabeth, not liking the presence of the other earl at all. She had caught him staring at her with a kind of glint in his eyes, she wasn’t sure what it was, but she knew it wasn’t anything good. [Y/N] looked around the table; they were just finishing their dessert as Alexis talked about the wedding that would take place in a few months. He had a big smile on his face, even his mustache seemed to curve upwards talking about the subject. Elizabeth was giddily nodding along, but her husband to be seemed to be out of it. “Oh [Y/N] it would make my heart so content if you helped design my wedding dress.” Lizzy had turned her body to grip the addressed girl’s hands, her pleading eyes looking straight into [Y/N]’s. She didn’t know what to answer, she wasn’t planning on staying in this time for that long, but a month had passed already without any progress. [Y/N] nodded at her words. “It would be an honor.” She answered, returning the sweet smile. Lizzy squealed as she wrapped her hands around [Y/N]’s torso, squeezing it hard. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” Elizabeth shook her friend a little as euphoria filled her veins. [Y/N] chuckled softly as she patted Lizzy’s head like she would do to a little kid whom had too much sugar. “Who would I be to deny such a request from a dear friend?” Jacky giggled at the interaction, while Francis swatted her hand. “Come on Elizabeth remember your manners, we are dining after all.” Elizabeth sighed as she sat up straight again, the warmth of the embrace still lingering around [Y/N]. “Now would you look at that! Your new maid is also a seamstress? Isn’t there a thing your servants can’t do?” Alois joined the conversation; abandoning the one he was in with Alexis. Jacky cringed slightly at the word ‘servants’. Ciel lifted his eye up from the cup he was tracing with his finger, his harsh peacock blue eye piercing into the icy blue ones of Alois. “I choose my staff very carefully Trancy.” Was all he said before focusing his gaze on the cup again. Alois frowned slightly at the lack of reaction he was getting, but it soon melted away as he focused on [Y/N], already getting bored with the rest of the table. [Y/N] glared at the blonde, not seeming to comprehend why he was doing what he was doing. She ignored his attention seeking stare and instead bowed her head down to look at the navy haired male. His hair fell over his patched up eye slightly, he had put his hand under his head to support it, tracing mindless circles around the rim of his cup. [Y/N] frowned at this, in the days that she started to get to know him, one thing stood out to her; he was always aware of his surroundings, studying everyone around him like a hawk. He was too unfocused for her liking. She raised her hand to tap him on the shoulder, but hesitated mid-air, what was she even going to say? It’s not like she has the position to question his well being and second that was Sebastian’s job anyway. With a sigh she put her hands behind her back and started to focus on Jacky whom had her eyes closed as the butlers she was squashed in between shared threatening glances at each other. This made the corners of her mouth tuck upwards a little as she started counting down in her head, Jacky hadn’t said a thing since Alois dismissed her and her patience with the two men next to her was wearing thin, [Y/N] knew that much about her friend. 5…4…3…2… “If the two of you want to kiss each other do it already, I am not going to stand here having two grown men stare one another down for some kind of dominance.” 1… Jacky massaged her temples as the two males glared down at her with shock. [Y/N] chuckled silently, covering her mouth to not burst into laughter at the scene. “What kind of nonsense are you spewing miss Green?” Sebastian folded his
arms as he glared daggers at the female next to him. Jacky turned her gaze to look up at him, a scowl on her face. She started pointing at Claude as he cocked an eyebrow at the girl. “It’s either that or the two of you want to kill each other, nonetheless do it now or forever hold your peace.” Sebastian stared down at her, a deadly silence fell over the two, an intense staring contest only [Y/N] and the other butler seemed to notice took place in between them. “I have never seen a woman crawl under your skin so fast Sebastian—” The other one spoke up. Sebastian broke eye contact with Jacky as he stared up at Claude, the intense feeling not fading. A grin formed itself on his face as he looked straight ahead. “—you’re becoming weak.” Jacky snapped her head to look at the other male standing next to her, Sebastian slowly straightened his back. [Y/N] swore his eyes glinted red as he did so. Jacky looked at her friend with raised brows. “They act like ex-boyfriends.” [Y/N] snickered as her friend bit her lip as the tension between the two butlers multiplied by 10. Ciel laughed as he shook his head. “You have no idea [L/N].” He said, turning his head a little, he peaked at her with his only visible eye. Light reflected from it as [Y/N] bit the inside of her cheek, she didn’t notice he was paying attention to the conversation. “the four of you have some intense history huh?” [Y/N] giggled nervously as the others seem to not notice the two of them talking. Ciel let his gaze fall of her and instead focus on the platinum blonde whom was flaunting his language skills at Edward. [Y/N] raised an eyebrow at him, waiting patiently for him to answer. “Yes.” Was all he said as he took a sip from his cooled off tea. She furrowed her brows at him as she shoved his shoulder lightly. “Yes? Is that all I get? Come on now you got me curious. Did he make fun of your eyepatch or something?” She joked, a small smile placing itself on her features. Ciel put his cup down, his expression being the polar opposite from [Y/N]’s. “He almost murdered me.” He spoke with a flat tone, his eye catching the girl’s. Her smile dropped as her eyes widened. She looked at the energetic male next to him. It was now Ciel’s turn to smile as he took one last sip from his tea. [Y/N] was still too stunned to reply to him, her eyes darting between Alois and Ciel. She subconsciously moved closer to the navy haired male, wanting to be at least 6 foot away from the icy eyed devil. Ciel cleared his throat as he stood up, grabbing everyone’s attention in process. He scanned the table before his eye landed on [Y/N]’s still fear stricken face. She raised her brows at him as he smiled. She didn’t trust that smile at all. “I would loveto hear miss [L/N] and miss Green play their lovely tunes for us right now.” [Y/N] blinked a few times before processing what he said. “What?” Was all she could muster as the rest of the group all nodded in agreement, Elizabeth already standing up to lead her to the stage. Ciel smirked at [Y/N] as she was dragged away by his fiancé. She was still sputtering and protesting as she was pulled away. Jacky was slowly pushed to the stage by a grinning Sebastian. “I will murder you after this.” His grin only widened “I would like to see you try.” She glared at him with a burning fire in her eyes. Claude and Alois walked behind the group as eyes from the crowd were slowly focusing on the ruckus. The band stopped playing as they saw the two girls being forced on the stage. [Y/N] was still trying to hold onto Elizabeth as Jacky flipped off Sebastian behind her back so only he could see it. Ciel waved over the conductor whom obeyed him without a second thought. He whispered something in the old man’s ear. He nodded at the young earl and gestured to the orchestra to lay down their instruments. “Amaze us.” He grinned at [Y/N] whom was scanning over the crowd she had laughed at a couple hours ago for their appearances’ and now they were here, laughing at her for her pathetic appearance on stage. Jacky walked over to her and pulled on her arm. “Come here for a
sec.” She pulled [Y/N] away from the burning stares. “These people don’t know us alright? You are a star player, if we play a song they don’t know, they can’t judge us if we make a mistake.” She explained to her with utmost serenity. [Y/N] gulped as she slowly nodded. “What song should we play?” Jacky smiled at her response. “That’s the spirit.”
[Y/N] walked over to the grand piano that was placed in the right corner of the stage, the original user sitting somewhere in the orchestra left from it. Jacky walked over to one of the guitar players and whispered something, the male nodded at her and gave her his guitar. [Y/N] took place on the comfortable leather seat, all that standing made her back sore. She placed her fingers on the white keys and locked eyes with Jacky whom was sitting in front of one of the first microphones invented in this time. Jacky gestured with her hand as she took a deep breath in, [Y/N] nodded and copied her movements; breathing out when Jacky did. Ciel cocked his eyebrow in curiosity as he saw [Y/N] placing her fingers on the right keys. A strange feeling gnawed at the bottom of his stomach, the touch of Elizabeth holding his arm slowly fading away as he focused on the girl behind the piano. Jacky tapped her foot four times on the hardwood floor, after the fourth tap [Y/N] began to play, her fingers playing a simply melody as Jacky began to sing.
“i am not the only traveler, who has not repaid his dept.”
Now she began picking at the strings of the guitar, slow and controlled.
“I’ve been searching for a trail to follow, again. Take me back to the night we met.”
[Y/N] closed her eyes as she let her fingers take the lead. She knew this song like the back of her hand, it was her favorite.
“and then I can tell myself, what the hell I’m supposed to do. And then I can tell myself, not to ride along with you”
Ciel furrowed his brows as he didn’t recognize the song at all, the words echoing in his head as his focus was solely on the piano, the tunes that [Y/N] played enamored him like the first time he heard her play.
“I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you. Take me back to the night we met.”
The conductor of the orchestra slowly began to lead the violinists to play along, the musical instruments mixing together in a beautiful harmony.
“I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Haunted by the ghost of you. Oh, take me back to the night we met”
Jacky closed her eyes as memories from her and her family fronted itself in her brain.
“When the night was full of terrors, And your eyes were filled with tears. When you had not touched me yet.”
Without fully registering it; Elizabeth got tears in her eyes. Her father staring with his mouth slightly agape, being in the same state as his daughter.
“Oh, take me back to the night we met.”
[Y/N] smiled as they were nearing the ending of the song, her fingers burning with passion as she harmonized with Jacky’s guitar in the most beautiful way.
“I had all and then most of you, some and now none of you. Take me back to the night we met. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, haunted by the ghost of you. Take me back to the night we met.”
And with that the song ended, Jacky stopped strumming her guitar as [Y/N] played the outro, the orchestra slowly died down in the background. All that was left now was [Y/N] pulling at the heart strings of the listeners, to complete the emotional meaning behind the song, to stir up their stomach and make the song loop in their brains for days. In this time it wasn’t the words that got stuck in their head, it was the instrumental that kept them awake at night. [Y/N] would be sure to complete that task. Alois whistled as she ended her part, the crowd joining him in his applause. Some threw their white hand kerchiefs at the girls on stage. Jacky tried to avoid them as she walked over to a shaking [Y/N]. A bright smile was placed on her lips as Jacky took her hands to get up, adrenaline pumping through both of them. They centered themselves on the stage, the crowd was still going wild or as wild as ‘high’ class people could get. [Y/N] looked around the dining hall until she spotted the wide eyed earl. Her smile turned even brighter upon spotting him and together with Jacky she took a deep bow. Ciel stood there with a wide eye, looking at his maid on stage, shining like the sun. His heart skipped a beat and he gulped. His mouth was dry and his arms alongside his body. He didn’t know what to do, the only thing he could do was look at her. Elizabeth was clapping excitedly next to him, but he didn’t notice. And when she looked at him, smiled at him; he knew he wasn’t going to forget this night easily. The girls descend the stage, the Midford family and Alois awaiting them with enthusiasm. “That was, allot.” Elizabeth took [Y/N]’s hands in her own as big tears streamed across her cheeks. [Y/N] laughed at emotional state of Lizzy, stroking her cheek to wipe some tears away. “I’m going to take that as a compliment.” She retorted as Lizzy just nodded as small hiccups left her lips. Jacky was over thrown with compliments from Edward, his face was red while doing so. She just smiled sweetly at him, not even getting the chance to thank him as he kept on rambling. After a few minutes many people left the dining area to go to bed or make themselves ready for the party that would be held in two hours. It was ten PM when the Midfords’ finally left to their rooms, so were most of the guests. Jacky and [Y/N] were sitting by a table taking a small breather from all the attention they’ve gotten. It was weird, but [Y/N] was slightly disappointed when she couldn’t find the navy haired male in the crowd anymore. Jacky saying Sebastian had left too. It brought a small frown upon her features, but she shook it off soon enough, it wasn’t like she put up a show for him or anything. It was quite peaceful it the almost silent area, not a single soul could be heard. Except for one person. “I got to say that I’m quite impressed.” A high-pitched male voice came from beside the women. [Y/N] looked up to see Alois and Claude standing in front of them. She sighed as she tried to smile at him, the uncomfortable feeling she had felt by the dinner table coming back. “Thank you sir Trancy, it was an honor.” She answered, surprised her voice wasn’t trembling. Ever since Ciel had told her about what he tried to do, she wasn’t even able to look at him. A sudden urge to leave entered her body. He nodded, his mouth opening to continue the conversation. Jacky was glaring at his butler, but soon enough looked at her friend, hearing the slight raise in her voice. She was definitely panicking. Jacky stood up; noticing [Y/N] fumbling with her fingers. It was a nervous tick of hers. “Well it was a delight to meet you sir, but we got to make ourselves ready for the ball, maybe rest a little while we’re at it.” Not even giving Alois the chance to say his goodbye’s the friends walked away. Leaving the dining hall and entering the boat’s hallways. They walked through the halls that lead back to the bottom of the ship. Once they were sure the blonde wasn’t following them, they dared to speak. “He gives me the creeps.” [Y/N] muttered out, looking over her shoulder for the
umpteenth time. Jacky nodded in agreement. “Something is off about him, I mean It’s clear he’s trying to get under Ciel’s skin, but there is something else going on…” She trailed off and locked eyes with [Y/N]. She squinted her eyes. “He didn’t tell you anything did he?” [Y/N]’s mouth fell dry as the answer to her question burned at the tip of her tongue, ready to spill it out. “Alois tried to murder Ciel.” It was a quick sentence, but it still left Jacky wide eyed. She turned her head back forward, blinking rapidly to grasp the situation. “W-well that is certainly something—” She seemed at a loss for words in the moment. [Y/N] couldn’t blame her, they just dined with someone with the capability to murder. “—maybe it’s best to avoid him.” Jacky finished, stating the obvious. [Y/N] agreed. “And his butler.” She filled in. “And his butler.” Jacky repeated. Before they reached the last set of stairs that lead to their rooms, [Y/N] stopped in her tracks. Jacky cocked an eyebrow as she turned around. “Something wrong?” She asked her friend. [Y/N] pursed her lips, her eyes flickered from side to side, seemingly in thought. “Earth to [Y/N]—" She turned around before Jacky could finish her sentence. “I’m going to check up on Phantomhive real quick. You can make yourself ready for the party!” Jacky stood there dumfounded as her friend sprinted away. “Be safe!” Was all she managed to yell as her friend turned the corner to walk up the main deck. [Y/N] slowed down her pace to a fast walk. It was her gut that made her turn around. Even though she only knew Ciel for two weeks, he seemed way out of it at the dinner table. Not even Sebastian had tried to get him to focus again. Something was wrong and she was determined to find out. Why? Because if he was in trouble, both her and Jacky were automatically in trouble too. He was the owner of her dad’s future company, there has to be a connection there. It was no coincidence that she landed in the hands of the earl. In her eyes, he was their only ticket back home. So when she knocked on his door and got no answer, her heart sunk to her stomach.
The hall felt cold as [Y/N] stood in front of the earl’s door. Not a single sound came from any of the rooms, the party had probably started already. Her breath was heavy as she shifted aimlessly from one foot to another; her dress getting more uncomfortable with the minute. He wouldn’t have left to the ball without notifying Jacky and herself, she knew that much. So where on earth was he. The flickering candles around her created ominous shadows. She thought this was supposed to be a cozy hallway, but the fancy decorated corridor looked like it came straight out of ‘the shining’. [Y/N] breathed in and out; the same way Jacky had taught her to calm down her nerves, she didn’t even understand why she was feeling like this. It’s just a stupid hallway. A scary stupid hallway. [Y/N] shuddered, it was so quiet, too quiet. If the party had started, then why didn’t she hear any music, laughter or talking. Scenarios filled her head as she moved away fast from the door. She wanted to be with her friend again as soon as possible. Something was definitely up. Her pace was quick as she neared the staircase to the lower deck, where the housing of the servants and lower class is placed. Her gut feeling was soon proven right as she descended the stairs; people were running past her, running up the stairs, some almost tripping while doing so. She got pushed away from the stairs; small yelps left her lips as a few women bumped against her shoulder harshly. No one was yelling, there wasn’t a sound coming from them at all. She couldn’t see any of the faces, due the dark night that swallowed every last bit of sunlight. Her only source of light was the moon above. Her panic only multiplied with all the people around her running around like mad men. She pushed herself through the sea of wild humans, trying to find Jacky while doing so. “Jacky—!" [Y/N] yelled, but the air was knocked out of her lungs as a male ran her to the ground, disregarding the wheezing girl with ease. She crawled to the side of the boat, using the railing to get up. Even her teeth hurt from that fall. The railing being her only support to look over the tsunami of humans. That’s when she noticed; all the eyes of the people were covered with blind folds, they didn’t scream, but weird gurgling sounds left their lips. They were all stumbling, no one was even able to stand straight. Their skin was a weird gray and [Y/N] covered her mouth in fear. Only one thing could come to mind when she scanned the scene—zombies. For her, if time traveling was possible, this could be true too. Zombies, roaming the ship. She clutched onto the railing as less and less people, if she could still call them that, passed her, until every single one was up the main deck. She was frozen with fear as her mind worked passed time. Why weren’t they attacking her? Aren’t zombies supposed to eat people? Then again, the films could be totally wrong about zombies. But how? How in the few minutes she left, could this happen? Her head was aching and her legs were trembling. She wanted to cry. She covers her face with her hands as one person fronted herself in her mind; Jacky. She was going to her room, what if she was turned in one of those zombies too? Her legs began to move on their own as she rushed through the bar and to the corridors, she ran until she reached her friend’s room. She banged against the door, yelling her name, but no answer. Her breath quickened, this couldn’t be happening. “Jacqueline! Please!” Tears spilled from her eyes as she rushed back to the lower deck, keeping on yelling Jacky’s name. Her voice became hoars, she ran up the stairs, trying to remember where the hoard of zombies was heading too. She ended up in the dining hall, not a single soul in sight. Her face was red while snot ran down her nose. She was having a panic attack. Pacing around on the red carpet, she tried to calm herself down, thinking on where everyone could be. “What would Jacky do—” She muttered to herself, she stopped moving when a light bulb popped on above her head. “The ball, of course!” She ran through the
dining area, entering hallway after hallway, until she ended up before two large doors. People screaming could be heard from behind it. Without a second thought she pushed the doors open. Revealing a huge ballroom, a glass chandelier brightened up the whole place from above, [Y/N] was currently standing on the balcony of the room. But before she could admire the space more, a voice yelled for her. “[Y/N]! O thank the lord, I found you.” [Y/N] turned around to a running Jacky, her face was covered in sweat, heavy pants left her lips as she came to a halt in front of her. “Jacky.” Was all [Y/N] said before squeezing her into a hug. “I thought you were one of those—” Jacky finished her sentence. “—zombies.” [Y/N] nodded as she let go of her. Jacky shook her head. “I saw those things walking this direction, I was scared shitless, but they haven’t hurt me.” She sighed as her lips tucked downwards. “Same here, but I heard screaming coming from behind these doors.” Her voice was quivering slightly as she looked back at the room, Jacky took her hand as she looked over the balcony. A gasp left her mouth as she witnessed the scene below; the whole floor was covered with zombies, some were even trying to climb the balconies. [Y/N] took a step back, how could this ever happen? She couldn’t even process the thought as Jacky shoved both of them too the floor. [Y/N] sharply inhaled at the slightly stinging sensation in her chest. “What the he—” She turned her gaze to Jacky whom was staring ahead with wide eyes. [Y/N] furrowed her brows as she turned her gaze into the direction her friend was looking, and now she understood why Jacky pulled them too the ground; A women with bright red, long hair was standing in front of them, a crazed smile on her face and a roaring chainsaw in hand. “You like to play rough big boy? Then I’ll show you some rough play!” She yelled. Laughing as she jumped off the balcony again. [Y/N] was frozen, everything becoming too much for her too handle. Jacky slowly got up and peeked over the railing. “On my hamster’s grave, [Y/N] you have too see this.” Jacky sat there on her knees, mouth agape. [Y/N] shakily moved closer to her friend, until she collected enough strength to look over the railing. Her eyes became even wider when she witnessed the scene under her. The crazy woman from before was thrown into a wall, breaking it in process. A male was standing in the middle of the room, a huge scythe in his hands, his long white hair swaying with his movements as he fend off another person. [Y/N] hit Jacky in her shoulder as she got a clear shot of his face. “Jacky, that is—” Jacky nodded. “—that’s Sebastian.” Both females duck under the railing as they rested their backs against it. Both of them flabbergasted. “What is happening.” Was all [Y/N] could mutter as another crash sounded from beneath them. Jacky hummed. “Nothing good.” It wasn’t even a second after when another loud bang was heard, but this time it was against the banister they were leaning on. [Y/N] screamed as the floor fell down from under her. Jacky yelled her name as she reached out for her friend. It was like everything went in slowmo; [Y/N] frantically grasping for anything in the air as part of the balcony plummeted beneath her. Jacky stretched her hand out as far as she could, grabbing the left over railing with her other. [Y/N] yelped as her friend caught her hand in hers, her arm making an uncomfortable stretch. “I got you!” Jacky yelled as [Y/N] looked under her, she could’ve died. “Please get me up!” Her body was bungling above the pieces of rock, her hand slowly sliding from Jacky’s. “I’m trying—” Jacky grunted as she tried to lift her friend up, but to no avail. “—I can’t do it! If I let go of the banister, we’ll both fall! I’m holding you with my left hand right now.” Jacky’s hand began to sweat, she was right handed, her left hand wasn’t as strong as the other. “Hey you! Witch!” a familiar voice called from beneath the desperate friends. [Y/N] looked down with teary eyes as Jacky cursed under her breath. The same male [Y/N] bumped into
at the bar was standing there on the pile of rubbish; a lawnmower in hand. “Help us! Please!” [Y/N] pleaded, not even thinking twice about why he was there with a lawnmower. He seemed to be in thought, his glasses reflecting the light, the right side of his face was bleeding. “I can’t hold much lo—” Jacky gasped as the railing she was holding onto broke off, sending her sliding over the edge. They both screamed as they fell down. [Y/N] didn’t know what was happening when she didn’t feel the ground snapping every bone in her body. She had squeezed her eyes shut while she fell, upon opening them again, she was met with two green eyes and an idiotic grin. It was that man. “Well aren’t I a hero.” He said, [Y/N] was shaking in his arms as she looked at him with a dumfounded expression. He slowly put her down on the ground. “Although I would love to hear you praise me, I got to help Grell with this issue, watch out for the zombies!” He waved at her as he swung his lawnmower at a few zombies. A gruesome scene unfolded in front of her, but she couldn’t look away. She was too stunned to do anything. “This is mad.” Jacky muttered from next to her. [Y/N] looked to her side to see a bleeding Jacky. She rushed to her side once she saw the crimson red liquid seep from the side of her face. “That maniac fucking dropped me after he caught me to catch you.” She pushed her friend’s hand away. “You’re bleeding Jacqueline!” The panicky voice of her friend made her smile. “I’m fine [Y/N], please. Thank you for worrying though.” [Y/N] frowned, not buying a word from what her friend just said. Zombies were still roaming around them, but just like last time, they disregarded the girl’s existence completely. Another slam was heard from beside them, when Sebastian slid down a pole, quickly recovering and throwing something silver. “Sebastian?” [Y/N] questioned when a zombie was thrown behind them. Sebastian looked to his when the male with white hair struck him with his scythe, he was able to duck in time; the scythe hitting the pole instead. “No not the two of you!” He yelled. Jacky stood up as she grabbed [Y/N]’s hand once more. “Can someone tell me what the hell is happening here!” She cried out. Her blood covering now most of her neck and clothes. She grabbed one of the silver objects Sebastian was throwing which were apparently kitchen knives. “[Y/N], Jacky?” [Y/N] turned her head to see Ciel fighting off some zombies; Alois was back to back with him doing the same. Their swords were impaling these lifeless people as more and more came for them. She raised her brows at the sight. Why were they attacking everyone but them? She pulled Jacky away as the scythe came down mere inches away from them. “This is very peculiar~.” A hoarse voice giggled. Jacky stood in front of [Y/N] when the male with white hair towered over them. Them not even noticing him moving closer as his weapon was behind Jacky’s neck, ready to decapitate her at any given moment. “My experiments aren’t trying to eat you, they aren’t even aware of your presence.” His voice gave [Y/N] the chills. “They are supposed to attack anyone with a soul.” Jacky hissed as he pulled her closer to him with his scythe. “Who are the two of you?” His green eyes pierced in her own, Jacky noticed a huge scare crossing over his face. [Y/N] slowly reached for Jacky’s other hand, the knife sliding in her hand with ease. “Get away from her you monster!” She yelled as she aimed for his face. He was quick to move away, her knife only nicking him. Sebastian took his chance with him being distracted, kicking him in the stomach, the impact of the kick send him through the room. Jacky let out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding. “They aren’t human, they can’t be.” [Y/N] scanned the room further, Claude was also busying himself with trying to hit the white haired male. She hadn’t noticed him yet. The woman and the male from before were desperately trying to fend off the zombies. “We have souls right?” She questioned, she furrowed her brows as she picked up a rock. “Yes we do? What do you mean.”
Jacky retorted, [Y/N] hummed. “If we do—” She threw the rock at one of the zombies, hitting his head with a small thunk, but it did nothing in response. “—then why aren’t they even bothering to look at us.” Jacky looked confused, before remembering what that male said. “I have no idea, but this could work in our advantage.” She grinned, the blood on her face making it seem creepier than it actually was. “We need to survive first, questions later.” Another stray knife lay before her feet as she bowed down to pick it up. “You’re right. Ciel needs our help, he’s our only way out of here.” [Y/N] responded back. Without another word the two of them nodded at each other and charged at the zombies attacking Ciel and Alois. Ciel looked up at [Y/N] confused as she stabbed a zombie from behind, effectively moving it away from Ciel. “What are you doing here? Why aren’t they attacking you?” He questioned as Jacky pushed him out the way from a charging zombie. “We don’t know but it works in our favor so shut up and keep on fighting. You got some explaining to do after this.” Was all [Y/N] could answer before jumping on some lifeless woman’s back. Jacky cursed as a zombie ran to Alois from behind, she hooked her ankle behind his and gave it a harsh pull. This caused him too fall, he yelped as his body hit the floor; the zombie falling over him. “Was that necessary?!” He whined as he got up and stabbed the zombie through his ribcage. “absolutely.” Jacky grinned as she punched a zombie square in the face.
Sebastian and Claude were still trying to get the upper hand with the white haired male as they were both bleeding. “Those two girls are special you know.” He spoke in between battle. Claude fell too the ground as his legs gave up on him. Sebastian huffed. “I have no interest in your twisted fantasies undertaker.” The scythe barely missed him by a hair as he tried to kick the male. The male named Undertaker laughed. “Oh you have no idea don’t you? They are alive, human, you can smell their soul. and yet my puppets won’t even notice their presence.” He laughed again as Sebastian slid across the floor, his hand scraping the marble ground to make him halt. He cocked an eyebrow as he glanced at the girls from the corner of his eyes. They were successfully eliminating the zombies plaguing the earls’. He grumbled as the undertaker struck him with his foot, sending him flying across the room.
Undertaker laughed maniacally. “The [H/C] haired girl will take your soul from you!”

part 1, part 2 x
- a common misconception regarding the South and North Node: it’s not the mission to abandon your South Node, it just represents what you already learned and brought with you here on earth and should be expanded. The Lunar Nodes represent a constant seek for balance, South and North Node should both be equally integrated in ones life.
- regarding North Node: the North Node is more an uncomfortable placement as it pushes us towards what we don’t know and have a hard time understanding and integrating in our life, even though we desire it. The North Node is impulsive and aggressive in its desire and thus, on the negative side, can equally lead to trouble when blindly followed.
- when looking at our own, or even other aspects, especially the harsh ones, we always have to consider the age of the person. As you grow into your placements over the years, we then can have the abilities to handle conflicting energies within us better - this is not only an encouragement to people with harsh aspects, but also newbies who might get intimated by their own and others placements!
- a Quincunx (Inconjunction) can be even harder to resolve than a Square. While a Square can find common ground in the modalities at least, the Quincunx comes from completely different sides and can manifest as unknowingly doing the same mistake over and over again, while the individual wonders why it always hurts. At the same time, it can seem like the only option left for them, even when they know it’s not the optimum. Quincunxes can go under the radar as well, since they are a small aspect
- this a fun thing I recently did with my own and other charts: If you were born too late or early and you happen to know the approximate delivery date of your birth go and calculate that birth chart! I found myself lucky to be born two weeks later than expected asdfghj
- when you have Aquarius/Uranus touching your ascendant or any house that is about self expression and/or the public it could give you a very scattered energy; you might be flipping on and off energy wise and people could have a hard time keeping up with you or adjusting to your flow of energies. This can also result in a lot of different ‘phases’ the individual goes through, or in equally getting passionate about something but then losing interest 3 weeks later
- A very common trait that a lot of Pisces Ascendants have are the droopy, watery eyes and often times pointed features on the face/a rather pointed face shape
- Taurus, Sagittarius and Cancer Ascendants could stretch features of the face/the overall face shape. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and Cancer is exalted in it: both of these signs can be prone to easily gaining width, Sagittarius and Cancer also can indulge a lot and thus can lead to quicker wheight gaining. Taurus, being the bull, can give the individual a rather wide, squary/boxy look, but always very sensual and serene with Venus being it’s ruler
- some thoughts on Ceres: Ceres is an asteroid that tells us equally about nurture and destruction. Ceres was Persephones mother, as much as she loves to take care of her lovely daughter, she sometimes doesn’t know the limits and when to stop - once what she loves is taken from her, she can leave a path of destruction behind her and become deeply obsessive. She can cross boarders and break rules for those she loves. Ceres is a mother archetype, responsible for harvesting, she is not only directly linked to nature, but also a good representation of mother natures extremes
-> Also: Ceres can give you insight about the relationshio between a mother and a child. I would recommend looking at your synastry with your mother figure. It can give you additional information to your parental relationship despite other very telling planets, such as Moon. Look where their Ceres touches your chart and what aspects they form
-> Ceres in synastry can also show you where your mother figure was most present, what they cared for most and maybe even where they were overly critical/concerned, protective or didn’t care for you at all.
- some thoughts on North Node an karmic connections in synastry: links from one Nodal point to the other don’t always have to indicate a karmic link that has a major impact in your life. Think about it: All people that are born around the same time as you and have their NN in ~ 10 degrees to yours will conjunct it, but does that mean we’re all karmically connected? It’s more likely these people all share a similar karmic life path, sharing the same soul mission. Most likely the really big feelings and influences are when the Lunar Nodes touch the inner planets/angles, as they have an almsot immediate and very direct influence on the other
- those with Mercury square/conjunct or opposite Mars/Uranus are the ones to accidentally say something they shouldn’t have if they are in a flow of speech or just really comfortable
- Venus square/opposite Uranus often go against social norms or revaluate them, so this could give them naturally the image of a misfit and provocateur even if they don’t actively intent to do so. Their ‘out of the norm’ behaviour/attitude could leave many people irritated. This also can make them suffer from a lot of misjudgement in their life, as people could put them in a box constantly
- having a water signs in an earth or air house can make the individual a huge advocate and humanitarian, especially when it’s in inner planets or when Uranus/Neptune in Pisces are in an air/earth house
- This might be a quiet controversial thought for some, but I am a social studies student so just a little food for thought to everyone: let’s look at the heteronormative use of astrology, aka women = Venus, men = Mars, and I am not talking about energies, I am talking specifically about assorting a gender to these planets. Venus and Mars will both show up in someone when pursuing a person of interest and developing feelings. But now think about parts of society trying to raise women as ‘the harmonizer’ and men as the ‘conqueror’, because these are the often associated traits with these two forms of gender. Back at astrology, let’s look at the archetype and temperament of Venus and Mars. Venus is the represent of unions and forming connections thus standing naturally for harmony (mostly that is), and Mars is the fighter the pursuer and represent of raw sexual energy aka life force. If people believe that the association of Venus to women and Mars to men is true, maybe look a bit closer into the environment you grew up in and maybe you can see that it’s a consequence of heteronormativity. Chances are, Mars and Venus would be looked at equally, or only preferred in insights if an individual conciously is more attracted to ‘masculine/feminine energy’ - again, regardless of gender.
- Basically: Astrology is defenitely not free of the negative sides of society and interpretations should be scanned of our own bias as best as we can!
- I noticed that people with profound Mercury, Uranus, Sagittarius or Aries/Mars influence in their chart are the ones to watch YouTube videos in 1,5 x speed. The nervous and impatient energy inside their chart wants either to spend less time on a YouTube video (trying to watch 10 minutes in 5) or feel like how most people talk and the videos flow are just too slow (chances are they wish they could do that irl too asdfgh)
- Pisces with profound Mercury influence (especially in inner planets) can give the possibility for a very quick to judge individual - and usually they are very expressive with it as well, either in accidental, small gestures or by openly showing their thoughts through facial expressions or quick reactions
- that being said, people who have strong Pisces influence in their chart, especially those with Ascendant/Pisces in 1st, usually give their first thoughts away with their facial expressions. Their eyes do reflect their inner nature a lot, more so than Cancers and Scorpio do since these are naturally more guarded and hesitant when it comes to self expression in new environments
#i had to get this out of my head or else i'm forgetting it - again - only to remember it three months later#own#astrology#zodiac#zodiac signs#astro notes#astro observations#aries#taurus#gemini#cancer#leo#virgo#libra#scorpio#sagittarius#capricorn#aquarius#pisces

Late night hookup
| Yoongi |
Warning! || 18+ smutty smut smut, fuckboy!yoongi, unprotected sex, oral fem receiving, cum eating, fem masturbation, rough sex, vocal Yoongi 🤤
[ jin • Yoongi • Hoseok • Joon • Jimin • Taehyung • Jungkook ]
You’d opened his contact for the 14th time in the past hour, down bad was an understatement for you at the moment.
It’s the fact that you knew he was in town, it’s also the fact that he chose to ignore you that made you upset, yet you yearned for his harsh touch.
Text first maybe? You put your phone to rest, your independence wouldn’t dare let you give into the temptation, if he wanted you he’d be here. And you’d ignore him until he made up his mind.
One thing that wouldn’t be ignored though, is the ache settling in your core, rolling onto your back bringing your thighs together to apply pressure to no avail. He’s never there when he’s needed.
Separating, you let your fingertips massage over the dampened fabric finding the lazy ovals you were accomplishing pleasurable. Just before you could indulge your phone chimed.
“You awake?”
You could scream in happiness! Your late horny wishes have been heard.
“Yeah, welcome back in town, how are you!”
“Excited to see me? You’re horny huh?”
Once an ass always an ass, he’d beat around the bush until all the leaves fell off before he’d give a straight answer.
“Yeah, get over here.”
“Get some help y/n,I’d think that you’d find someone new already.”
“Are you coming to fuck me, or can i continue to finger myself...you interrupted me.”
“Impatient little thing you are, sure continue, but open the door when I get there.”
Tossing the phone to the corner of your bed you rolled off changing shirts to look sightly presentable.
Skipping like and lovesick schoolgirl you cleaned the living room like he’d even notice the scatter of classwork and pillows if you’d left it. Setting drinks up on the table you anticipated your 2 AM date.
His knock undeniable, you pranced to the door pulling it open letting in the dusk breeze, “hey, you look different.” you looked his stature up and down, “and you look tired.” He quips pulling you into him his chilled hand wrapped around you neck. Kissing you, his taste never changed liquor and mint, he explored you like he’s been hungry for you. “Still don’t know how to kiss? Fucking virgin.” He bullied walking into your apartment removing his heavy shoes.
“Can you stop being an ass Yoongi.” He threw himself in the couch watching you primarily as you closed the door, gong to the kitchen before his statement stoped you. “I don’t care about the tea party you set up in there, get over here.”
Legs spread his hand rested inside of his black sweats. Obliging you went to him, only here for one thing, and he was ready to get it as quick as he could, “wanna lay on the couch for me?” The pounding in your chest persistent, knowing fully what’s to come. Letting your back hit the couch, he threw your decretive pillows. “Miss me?” He freed you from your panties, letting his limber fingers massage you collecting your slickness. “C’mon speak up.” “Yeah I did, you miss me?” You breathed out in impatience. “Like hell.”
“You play with this while imagining me when I’m away?” Sensually he stroked your bundle of never earning a physical reaction. “Honestly?” “Mm yeah tell me.” Vulgarly he spit on your mound before continuing to toy with you. “I think about your little friends more than I imagine you.” You lied for his reaction, thoughts of Yoongi swam in your head more than you’d like to admit.
“Liar.” He entered you with his index and pointer, whimpering to show your appreciation. Moving back and forth rotating his wrist ever so slightly. “Tell me this though.” He changed his tactics now rapidly stroking the most sensitive area inside of you. “This still make you cum cutie?” He jokes obviously watching you buck at his skilled fingers movement. Staying in place he gave you the treat of massaging the area into your first orgasm of the night. Your stomach clenched and you griped around him unintentionally. “Mmhhm fucking hate you.” Insulting him was a regular during orgasm and he enjoyed it. He continues forcing more pleasure on you as you cum.
A cocky grin plasters his features, “I guess it does.” He leaned coming face to face with your core, still pulsating. “Sensitive little thing still, I would’ve thought you’d grow from that.” He latched onto your clit causing you to prop yourself on your elbow in surprise. “Yoongi fucking wait.” You pushed his head to no result he licked and sucked on your clit with no mercy. “Ah fuck please Yoongi.” He looked up his dark eyes commanding you as he let go. “Done for the night?” You shook your head no, “just a little sen-” “nothing new.” He went back down, lapping at your sopping entrance with hunger and lust, grunts erupted from him.
With better leverage he enters you with his tongue prodding you like you’ve missed oh so bad. It seems like he left and came back better than he’s ever been at this. It was muffled but you understood his dirty comments. “Fucking cum in my mouth, you’re gonna taste it bitch.” Moving back to your clit he flicked quickly replacing his fingers, rubbing your tender sweet spot. Eyebrows furrowed in focus he closed his fiery eyes. “Shit! Shit! Ahhh shit!” Squirming inches from succumbing to your second orgasm. You griped his styled hair pulling him deeper onto your cunt. He latched sucking you, your stomach tightening.
Finishing messily onto his digits and lips. “Fuck Min, who gave you lessons in Korea?” You heaved legs wide needy for more. Ignoring your comment he connected his lips with yours not giving you time to breath. purposely kissing you sloppily making sure he spread your nectar along your tongue and lips. “Sweet?” You nodded, bucking, begging for him subtlety.
“What next baby, ask for it,what do you want?” He took off the sweats fully commando underneath, he stroked himself collecting his precum and bringing it to your mouth. “I know you’re filthy. Eat it.” You suck his fingers, and he visibly holds back a groan. “Fuck me, that’s what I want.” You answer seductively.
You got up from the couch, grabbing his shirt bringing him to your bedroom, “bigger bed?” “Yeah, you like it?” You crawled on top, putting your ass in the air cheekily. “It’s your turn to buy the pill.” He laughed at your random outburst, “shut the fuck up already.” He got behind you aligning and plunging into you a groan of enjoyment coming from him. “Always so fucking tight.”
Gaining a grip he bottoms you out earning a squeal. “Nice a full? Ready to fuck?” You could hear his impatience, you nodded in response. “Damn it y/n speak baby.” He griped your ass harshly. “Just do it already!”he pulled out completely hooking you with his arm rolling you onto your back pulling your shirt off with your assistance.
“I have been thinking of you in this position ever since we landed.” Pushing your legs up, “hold them with your arms...please.” Obliging to his lustful wishes, on your back legs bound by your arms, everything vulnerable on display for him.
Getting comfortable he entered you, bottoming you out throwing his head back. “Tighter than before, you’ll fucking kill me.” He fucked into you sensually keeping a grip on the back of your thighs, “feel good? Wanna- oh shit.” Tightening around him he fucked into you harshly, the lewd smacking sound something that was very missed.
Resting his forearm next to your head, dominantly he gripped a handful of your hair, letting his head fall at you ear shamelessly moaning into it. “Mm so good y/n, you’re too good.” Picking up speed making your breath trap itself in your throat. “Tell me-mm tell me.”unable to respond to his commands you whimpered in a sorry excuse for response.
By the change in tone you could tell he’s close to finishing off, while in the chase for his high, he pulled your hair harsher. Placing his other hand on your sensitive clit. “Fuck!” Pulling back up he removed his hand from your locks placing them on the back of your thighs his pace giving a little slack.
His eyes closed thumb massaging you assisting you to orgasm. “You better fucking cum.” He gritted.
He continued his rough thrust until he hit his peak “oh fuck me!” Whining he spilled inside of you as you tightened around his member once again lost in his gift of euphoria.
He pulled out of you sweat dripping over his features his seed warmly gushed from you. He removed his shirt the heat getting the best of him.
His member already half mast. He got up stretching before striding to the bathroom. “ don’t move.” You could care less what he just said, your senses still draped in pleasure. Though certain thoughts threatened to pull your lustful high. “Your legs or arms cramping?” He came back cleaning you up, using a colder cloth you cool your sweaty limbs. “Left leg.” He pulled you from the folded position massaging your leg and thigh.
“Too rough?” “Not enough.” He laughed under his breath, “noted.” He let go of your limb standing from the bed, leaving the room.
Though not exclusive your heart still aches for him slightly. “I’m leaving.” He came back with his sweats and shoes on, grabbing his shirt. “Oh, I pulled out some of my best alcohol and you leave?”
He smiled kissing your drenched forehead, why did he love torturing you. “Yeah, I got a busy day tomorrow.” He sighed pulling his shirt over himself. Groaning you rolled over out of the bed, pulling on a large shirt, “I’ll walk you to your car.” Obliging you followed him out.
Walking side to side, in silence until you both left the building standing in front of his pricey sports car. “You know you never gave me that ride.” He grasped your waist lifting you onto the hood, darkness shields you both.
“Mm tomorrow If I’m not tired, we’ll go get something...ice cream?”
“Stop acting like my boyfriend Min.”
“That’s what you want though, right?”
Sighing you felt uncomfortable when pressed with the truth.
“Well I’m sorry y/n but I can’t be, acting is the best you’ll get.”
“I know...so, who’s your best fuck back home?”
“Haha, some real pretty girl that you don’t need to ask about....but don’t worry, I cum and think of you.”
He laughs at your visible discomfort.
“You’re literally disgusting.”
Any and All feedback is greatly appreciated! !

heyyy, i wanted to tell you that i love your writings and that you encouraged me to start writing myself. so thank you💕💕💕 I wanted to ask if you could write something about bakugou being your upper classman and eventhough hes mean to others he is nice to you, being all possessive and protective of you? you think its nice, calling him senpai and always looking up to him. hes your idol, you trust him with your life. so of course youll let him stay the night over. he pressures you into (1/3)
glad you’re writing! Writing is so fun, and even if you think it’s bad, you’ve still created something, be proud!!
Warnings - degradation, NSFW, dub con, abuse of trust & power. Manipulation, uhm Bakugou being a jerk.... what's new lol.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Katsu... ‘m tired, wanna sleep.” You mumble, eyes fluttering shut again.
“No, no sleeping until I say. Don’t you want to make me happy? C’mon, I fucking know you do.”
He’s pushing at your body, jostling your shoulder while you lay on your side, eyelids heavy. You had agreed to let your senpai spend the night - Bakugou had said something about wanting to get out of his house for a bit, and you’d eagerly volunteered your own place.
The original plan was to let him have the bed, and you could sleep on the couch. You’d do anything for Bakugou, for the fiery blonde that hurled insults and spit curse words more than he breathed.
Those harsh words were never directed at you though, not since he’d found you crying on the first day of school because some dumb freshman had flipped your skirt up in the cafeteria.
You’d burst into tears at the jeering laughs, scrambling to pull your skirt down to cover yourself before darting out of the cafeteria, tears rushing down your cheeks. Bakugou had found you curled in the corner at the bottom of the stairwell, sobbing your heart out in embarrassment and humiliation.
At first he’d sneered at you, opting to ignore the pathetic little girl that had gotten her panties exposed, but something made him pause as he strode by you.
Maybe it was the way your breath hitched on each quiet sob, or maybe it was the memory of your cheeks loosing color before bursting into a brilliant red. Perhaps it was the thought of how your ass had looked, the brief glimpse he had caught of your panties before you’d pushed your skirt back into place.
Whatever the reason, Bakugou had stopped, retraced his steps, sighing as he crouched down in front of you.
“Stop fucking crying, it’s annoying. That piece of shit just wanted a reaction from you.”
You had glared up at him, scrubbing at your eyes with your fists.
Bakugou felt a bit taken aback when he locked eyes with you, your eyes clear and watery, the color of your iris vibrant and defined against your red, teary face.
“If it’ll make you stop crying, I’ll go beat his ass. Make the dumb fuck cry like a little baby.”
“Like how I’m crying?” You snorted derisively.
The blonde huffed, surprised that you weren’t shy of admitting your pathetic state. “Yeah, exactly like that.”
A tiny smile graced your lips, and Bakugou rose to his feet, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Now get up, go get to class. You’re gonna be late and you’ll get detention or some shit.”
Later that day, after the last bell had rung and all the students were filing out of their classrooms, a scuffle had broken out.
Bakugou had the freshman that had embarrassed you caught in a headlock, one hand reaching into his pants to give the poor kid a wedgie. The kid was swearing, yelping, trying to hit at the upper classman but failing. There was a group of kids surrounding the pair, some jeering, some looking on in disdain, others rushing off to find the principal.
When you came upon the scene, Bakugou’s eyes found your own, and he smirked, snapping the waistband of the freshman’s underwear against his skin, the sound making you flinch. That had to have hurt.
The blonde roughed him up a bit more, before letting him go, shoving him to the ground with a cackle before shouldering his own backpack, vacating the area before the principal arrived.
He was your hero.
Always watching out for you, scaring away bullies, making sure you remembered to “do your shitty homework”.
So if he wanted to come over for a bit? You let him. If he wanted someone to bring him cold water during football practice? You were there. Did Bakugou want an extra dessert after lunch? He could have yours, you didn’t mind.
“Wake up-” The words growled in your ear had your eyes fluttering open as you yawned.
“It’s lateeee-” You whined, reluctantly sitting up to face Katsuki.
The blonde had refused your offer of allowing him your bed and you sleeping on the couch, instead insisting that the two of you share your bed.
Currently, he was sitting up against the headboard, shirtless, bronzed skin on display. You kept your eyes averted, although you knew what you’d see if you looked.
Solid muscles hiding under smooth skin, indicative of hard work and dedication. Bakugou was proud of his body, and didn’t mind showing off.
“C’mon, I wanna fool around. Take off your shirt and come touch me.” His command was low, muttered, as if the blonde was tired too. The overeager hands pulling at the hem of your shirt betrayed his true feelings.
“No, Bakugo-”
“Call me Katsu, don’t make me ask again.”
You stumbled over your words as the blonde pushed up your shirt, ignoring how your hands were trying to tug the fabric back down. “Katsu, stop it please, I don’t want to do that with you.”
That made the blonde pause, a frown on his face. “Why not? Am I not fucking good enough for you? What the fuck.”
“No! No Katsu-” You scrambled now, trying desperately to appease him. “That’s not what I meant!”
“Good, cause this is happening. C’mere-” He was pulling you into his lap, his warm hands finally succeeding in pulling off your shirt, tugging it insistently over your head.
“Wait, don’t look! Give me my shirt back!” You whined, hands flying to cover your body from Bakugou’s heated gaze.
The blonde raised an eyebrow, before flinging your shirt across the room with a smirk. “Nah, don’t be shy. Fuck, look at those tits.” His eyes were on your chest now, as were his hands, batting yours away like an annoying mosquito so he could grope your soft flesh.
“Fuuuuuuck.”
You were bright red, squirming on his lap. What was he doing? “Um, Katsu, I don’t think we should..... I mean, this isn’t..... um..... um....”
You trailed off as he massaged your chest, rolling your nipples underneath his fingers, watching the dusky buds flatten and pop back up when he pressed on them.
A little pinch to one of them has you squealing, Katsuki immediately slapping a hand over your mouth, his eyes dark and serious. “Shut the fuck up, you wanna wake up your parents? Dumb bitch, keep quiet.”
The words stung, made tears prickle in your eyes. Why was your senpai being so mean? Did you do something wrong?
Content that you had got the message, he took his hand away, trailing down to squeeze at your breast before dropping his hand further, to the hem of your sleep pants.
“Katsu-Katsu, wait, I don’t think I’m ready for this! I just want to go to sleep, let’s sleep.” You pleaded, shivering as his other hand still caressed your chest, roughly palming over your mounds and tweaking your nipples.
“Shut it, just stay still.”
You continued to squirm, pushing his hands away, trying to wiggle out of his lap, only for the blonde to finally snap.
He growled low in his throat, and then you were on your back beneath him, head hitting your pillow with a soft sound, Bakugou grabbing your hands.
“Are you fucking kidding me? I just wanna fool around and feel good and you’re being an uppity little bitch. Cut that shit out. This isn’t that big of a deal, stop being a baby about it and let’s have some fucking fun.”
The words held a bit of malice, a hint of a threat. But, what he was saying was true, wasn’t it? People your age did this kind of stuff all the time, it wasn’t a big deal. There wasn’t an issue with it.
Sighing, you tried to relax, slumping your shoulder dejectedly before Bakugou let go of your hands, his own moving to the waistband of your sleep pants.
“There, see? It’s not that fucking hard.”
The thing brushing against your thigh was hard, warm and solid as it prodded you insistently.
Your pants came off, and so did Katsuki’s, leaving you both in nothing but underwear. His skin-tight briefs were tented, the length inside leaking against the fabric. It looked almost painful.
“Touch me.” The male commanded, grabbing one of your hands and guiding it to his clothed dick. You cringed when you made contact, the length twitching underneath your hand, but Katsuki wouldn’t let you pull back.
“I said to fucking touch me.” the blonde snapped, pushing his hips further into your hand.
Reluctantly, you started to massage his length, working it with your hand in rhythmic motions. The blonde groaned, and when you looked at his face his cheeks were flushed.
“Feels fucking good, keep doing that shit.”
One of his hands was unceremoniously shoved into your panties, immediately petting over your slit with quick, fast strokes. It wasn’t long before a finger prodded into your entrance, slowly pushing it’s way inside as you arched and winced against the intrusion.
“Fucking relax and be good for your senpai. I’m doing this for you, be grateful.” Bakugou snapped, narrowing his eyes at you.
“Katsu-oh, feels-feels weird...” You mumbled, hips twitching underneath him. You tried to keep touching him, but your attention was quickly being ripped away and focused on the sensations between your legs.
The finger inside you thrusted slowly, gently, and you bucked your hips at the odd sensation, mewling when Bakugou’s thumb rubbed at your clit. It felt... weird, but in a good way.
But Bakugou was impatient.
“And you can’t even fucking touch me at the same time, you’re worthless as shit.” He spat, cruelly shoving a second finger inside of you.
It hurt a bit, and you gasped, but before you could say anything the blonde was kissing you, lips crashing into your own.
“Mmph!” You squeaked, hands flying to anchor yourself by gripping onto his shoulders, trying to slow him down from attacking you with such fervor.
You couldn’t stop him though, he was determined to feel you.
“Oh fuck, you taste like mint-” He gasped, pulling away from your mouth to gasp for air. You felt dazed, like this was some sort of bleak dream-turned nightmare. Your toothpaste had mint in it, was that what he had been tasting?
The fingers inside of you were thrusting hard now, scissoring, stroking your walls, calloused skin being warmed by your insides. HIs thumb was still patting at your clit, rubbing broad circles around and on the bud, making you shake.
But then his fingers were gone, and Bakugou was pulling down his boxers, shuffling down the bed so he could slot himself between your thighs.
“Look at that tight little pussy, you’re so goddamn wet. You need a cock filling you up, huh?”
You laid there in a daze, barely registering what the blonde was saying. You missed the pleasant friction against your clit.
And then there was pressure, a tight stretch, burning.
Your legs kicked out and you inhaled, ready to cry out, but Bakugou clamped a hand tight against your mouth again, leaning down as he seated himself all the way inside.
“You make a noise, and I’ll just fuck this slutty little body harder, got it?”
Stilling, you shivered involuntarily, the feeling of the thick intrusion messing up your insides painful yet delicious.
“Give me a goddamn answer you stupid bitch.” Katsuki spat, eyes blazing.
Only then did you actually register what he had said previously, and you immediately nodded your head, looking up at your senpai with wide eyes. You didn’t want him to hurt you.
Satisfied, Bakugou grinned, although he didn’t remove his hand. He pulled his hips back just a tad, before grinding into you hard, relishing the way your tight walls sucked him in.
He repeated the motion, quickly building up a rhythm of short, heavy grinding thrusts, barely pulling out before grinding his cock in deep.
“Fuck, fuck, you’re a treat.” The small bit of praise made you feel better, warmth spreading in your chest.
But then he started fucking you in earnest.
It hurt, how rough he was being with your body, and you whined behind his hand, grabbing at his wrist. You needed air, and you couldn’t take in enough through your nose.
Bakugou just gave you a disdainful glance, before hammering his hips against you, sweat beginning to bead on his brow.
The sharp burn had simmered down into a dull afterthought, the more pressing feeling being that of spiking pleasure each time Bakugou’s thick cock drilled into your insides. It felt good, you were almost writhing on your sheets, legs shaking and kicking out, hands scratching at Bakugou’s wrist, eyes rolling back into your head.
“Stay fucking still-!” The blonde growled, yanking you closer to his body before your careless wiggling could make his dick slip out of your tight entrance. You moaned behind his hand, and Bakugou grinned, before taking his hand away, patting your cheeks roughly.
“What was that? Hm? Speak up little bitch, what’d you say?”
“Oh, oh please-! Katsu, feels-feels.....hnn, feels-!” You couldn’t finish your sentence, too overwhelmed with sensation to speak, hands circulating between gripping your hair, the sheets, and your chest, unsure how to handle the onslaught of pleasurable experience.
Bakugou huffed, quickly pulling out to maneuver you into a different position.
The slight reprieve allowed you to catch your breath, but it was soon punched out of you again when Bakugo slammed home, your body laid out on top of his, your back to his chest, your head resting against his shoulder.
His hips flexed as he thrusted up into you, one hand holding your hip, the other using four fingers to rub wildly at your clit.
It felt so good.
Your hips kept jumping, legs shaking on each exquisite rub, each delectable thrust filling you up so nicely.
“Mmh! Katsu, Katsu, please, oh-oh-oohhh-” The moan left you, and Bakugou sped up his hips, now uncaring of the noises that you made.
He just wanted to cum.
“Oh god, oh no, it’s feels good, it feels good-ugh, Katsu!” You cried, and the man grinned, bitting at the shell of your ear.
“Fucking take it, gonna make you fucking cum.”
And you did, crying and moaning and shaking on his cock, walls convulsing and milking him dry, his balls clenching and twitching as he unloaded his seed inside you.
It was sticky, and hot, and it felt gross, but you were too fucked out to care, sweaty and exhausted and confused.
The only sound in the room was that of heavy breathing, both you and Bakugou worn out.
When you finally did move, it was because Bakugou was pushing you to the side, grimacing as his cock slipped free of your gummy insides. Cum dripped down your thighs, gloopy texture making you gag as it slowly seeped from your hole.
“I’ll... I’ll clean you up tomorrow.” Bakugou mumbled, throwing an arm around your waist to drag you close to him.
The thoughts swirling inside of you were so confusing. Right now, it was easier to melt into Bakugou’s chest than to think, to try and sort out what had just occurred. It was fine, it was normal.
You just wanted to be good for your senpai.

But professor… - c.3
Summary: Penny goes to Walter's loft, so he could help her out with some school assignments
Professor!Walter Marshall x Penny Townsend (Asian ofc)
Wordcount: 3.3k
Warnings: None
Masterlist // But professor… masterlist // Previous chapter // Next chapter
Walter and I agreed that he would pick me up from the train station nearby and when I near the vacant parking lot, I can already see him waiting in his truck. He holds up his hand, a sign that he saw me too and I hurry towards the enormous vehicle. I barely see trucks this large here in New York, making me assume he actually brought this with him from Minnesota. Maybe he even moved here with this thing, the trunk stuffed with his belongings.
Though I highly believe this man actually didn’t bring a lot of stuff with him. He doesn’t seem like the type to be very materialistic.
When I open the door, I can’t possibly hide my smile.
Of course I thought about this for awhile (it’s all I thought about the entire class) and debated whether or not this would be a good idea. While this is definitely not a great idea, it doesn’t feel weird or scary. I mean, my mom certainly wouldn’t approve of this and I think my dad would have a stroke if he found out what I was doing.
Is this how people get murdered? Am I too naive?
I don’t think so. I trust Walter. He is a nice man and I’ve been with him alone in his office two times now. That wasn’t scary, he isn’t giving me bad vibes.
Going to his loft shouldn’t be that much different.
‘How were your classes, Penny?’ Walter asks.
A scoff leaves my lips. ‘It was horrid,’ I mumble, placing my backpack in-between my legs. ‘Professor Carter really likes hearing himself speak.’
‘That,’ he says, starting his car, ‘is true. I hate that guy.’
I chuckle. ‘Hate is such a strong word,’ I tell him. ‘I’d like to say he is simply hard to like.’
Walter smiles. ‘Of course.’
I fumble my thumbs as they are placed on my lap, taking in a breath. I’m really nervous, which is completely unnecessary. I feel safe around Walter, I feel noticed around him. It’s nice being noticed, especially by someone like Walter.
‘I didn’t know if you want something,’ Walter says, ‘so I got you some chocolate and cookies. If you don’t like that, please tell me. I can make a small detour to the grocery store.’
‘No, chocolate and cookies are perfect.’ I run my fingers through my hair, as Walter soars over the roads. His driving style fits him perfectly. He is impatient, quick and breaks abruptly, instead of slowly, a complete one eighty compared to my driving style. ‘You’re not gonna kill me, right?’
Walter starts to laugh and it’s the first time I actually see him putting his guard completely down. His eyes are smaller, the little crowfeet appear near them. ‘Of course not. I would lose my only student with sense.’
I lean back against the seat, as I watch how we get deeper into the city. I’m usually never in this part of town. I look to the side, admiring Walter’s beautifully sculptured face. The beard kinda hides it, but I know that his face is close to perfection.
‘You’re staring,’ he says, his eyes not once leaving the road.
Oh dear, I totally am. How incredibly rude of me. ‘I’m sorry,’ I quickly apologize.
‘It’s not a problem. Kinda cute actually.’
‘What do you mean by that?’
‘You always stare in class,’ he says. ‘When things get a little gore, you start to blink really fast, you scrunch up your nose and try to stare at your fingers, but you don’t want to be rude and miss something, so you look up again. Only this time you’re squinting and you make a pretty poor attempt of hiding your disgust.’
‘Wow,’ I chuckle. ‘That’s specific.’
‘Noticing the smallest details is important in my line of work. Tell me what I do during class.’
I swallow as I try to think about everything he does in class. ‘You never look at people when you call out their name. It usually takes around a second or two, before you tear your gaze away from whatever you’re looking at. You are quite insulting when it comes to stupid answers.’
‘I’m not.’
‘You either scoff or roll your eyes,’ I note. ‘Besides, you always look bored, even when someone makes a good point.’
‘That’s because I am,’ he retorts.
‘Teaching really isn’t your thing, is it?’
He snickers. ‘Oh no. You could say I hate it with a passion. But if I do this, I could one day maybe work in the force again. It’s just a little in between jobs.’
‘You miss it, don’t you?’
‘I do,’ he answers. ‘I don’t think I’ve ever missed something that much.’
‘You miss Minnesota?’
He shakes his head. ‘I mean, a little of course, but New York is great too.’
‘Are you married? Or do you have someone?’ I ask.
‘No.’
‘Why not?’
‘I haven’t met her yet,’ he says. ‘Besides, I’m picky. You got a boyfriend?’
I can’t even stop my laughter. ‘No, of course not,’ I answer. ‘There is no one that likes me anyways.’
‘Don’t be ridiculous,’ he says in a pretty harsh tone. ‘You’re a lovely girl and any guy would be lucky to have you as their girlfriend.’
My cheeks burn up. ‘You think so?’
‘I know so, Penny. Let me tell you this: you are amazing, smart and the guy you end up with is gonna be one lucky man, since you’re probably out of his league anyway.’
He really thinks so?
Walter parks his car in the parking garage underneath the apartment building and he tells me to wait, as he gets out. He walks around the truck and opens the door for me.
‘I can open my own door, you know?’
‘I know,’ he chuckles, gesturing to hand over my bag. ‘But I couldn’t do it back at the station, so humor me for a second, okay?’
‘Of course.’ I grab his hand and he helps me out the car. Together we walk towards the elevator and I nervously roll my ankle, as we wait for the elevator to arrive at the right floor.
It abruptly stops and we walk out towards his door. He pushes it open, telling me to go in first.
His loft meets up to the expectations I had. Boring. Nearly empty. Only decorated with the necessities. ‘Right,’ I say. ‘This is exactly what I thought it would be.’
Walter hangs his coat over the back of the chair. ‘Is that so?’
I let the material of my own jacket slide off my shoulders. ‘Mhm, you have very little taste.’
‘I’d like to call it minimalistic,’ he retorts, as he takes my jacket from me hands. He tells me to sit and relax, while he makes us some tea.
I carefully take place on his couch, looking around me. Thankfully he removed all the eventual crime scene photos, files or anything related to the gory side of police work.
‘Here you go.’
‘Thank you,’ I say to Walter as he sits next to me, placing the tea on the coffee table. The couch cushion I’m sitting on, slightly dips to the right as he takes place. I have to tighten all my non existent muscles to not slide towards him, however I am not very strong, nor fit, so I bump against his side. ‘Sorry,’ I say.
‘It’s okay. Tell me, what are subjects that you struggle with.’
‘Everything,’ I admit.
He smiles. ‘Then I shall help you with everything.’
✎ ✎ ✎
My brain hurts from all the things Walter says to me and the way he answers all my questions. It’s so sweet and considerate of him to literally minimize everything to a level I could understand it. I take off my glasses as I rub my eyes. Walter has placed his arm on the armrest, our bodies closer than I’ve ever been to someone who I thought was attractive.
‘This isn’t working,’ Walter says, when it’s obvious I’m not registering anything anymore. ‘You need a break.’ He places my laptop and papers on the coffee table and stands up. He ushers me to follow him and I nearly run after him, since he’s taking such large strides.
‘Where are we going?’
He slides open the doors that lead to a little balcony. It’s just as boring as the rest of his place, but the view on the other hand is absolutely lovely. I walk towards the balustrade, holding the cold metal as I look over the city.
‘Wow,’ I say, ‘this is so beautiful.’
He smiles as he stands next to me. ‘It sure is.’
‘I’ve never saw the city like this,’ I say.
‘Where you’re from originally?’
‘Maryland,’ I answer. ‘But New York is really fun as well. Maybe even more so, if I’m being honest.’
‘I’ve never been there,’ Walter says, placing his underarms on the balustrade, so we’re around the same height. He looks to the side, at the same time the wind blows. He chuckles, when strands of my hair slap him across the face.
‘Sorry,’ I smile, as I try to contain the wild hairs.
He holds out his hand, pushing back a strand behind my ear. ‘That’s okay, Penny. You like it out here?’
‘Yes, I really do. It’s nice to take a bit of a breather. I’m sorry I am not really getting it.’
‘No, don’t be silly,’ he says, ‘you’re doing great. It’s my teaching skills that are lacking.’
I bite my lip as I take in his entire face. He is so close, just like he was back in the living room. He placed his arm on the backrest of the couch, his body so close near mine, that I could smell his lovely cologne.
‘You’re beautiful,’ he softly admits, almost as if he doesn’t want me to hear.
‘Oh,’ I whisper, slightly taken aback, ‘really?’
‘Really. You have your phone with you?’
I pull it out of my back pocket. ‘Yes, why?’
‘Allow me to memorize this moment for you.’
It’s a slightly odd request, but I give him the phone and he takes a few pictures of me. For some reason, I don’t feel awkward. Usually I take pictures by myself or I let my mom take one, but that’s only the case when she wants to make a picture for her friends to show me off.
With Walter behind the camera, I’m relaxed and not so nervous.
Which is strange. I keep forgetting he is my professor. With his head, he nods me over and I look over his arm to the phone screen. ‘They look good,’ I say.
‘Not just good,’ he says. ‘You look amazing.’
He hands me back my phone and at the same time, a slightly cold breeze causes me to tense up and shiver a bit. ‘You cold?’
‘A little,’ I admit.
‘Wait here.’
Walter walks back inside, leaving me be for a little while. I look over the city. The cars, the different type of houses. Dogs barking, young kids laughing and just people having fun in general.
‘Here you go,’ Walter says, ‘I got you a sweater and some tea.’
I look over my shoulder, to see him placing two steaming mugs of tea on the tiny table and indeed a thick sweater (one of his own) in his hands. ‘You’re really going out of your way for me,’ I admit. ‘That’s nice.’
He frowns. ‘No one’s ever gone out of their way for you before?’
I shake my head.
‘Let me be the first then.’ He actually helps me into the sweater and gently pulls out my hairs from the sweater.
I take place on the slightly uncomfortable chair. It’s a bit windy, but not unpleasant. Especially not when I’m wearing a sweater this warm.
‘What are you thinking?’ I ask Walter.
He shrugs. ‘Just something crossed my mind, but I don’t want to intrude.’
‘You could never. If someone is intruding, then it’s totally me. I mean, I literally am at your place, because school’s too hard for me. Seriously, you can ask me anything you want.’
‘When did you find out you were placed at the church?’
I wrap my fingers around my mug and say: ‘My mom always said that I was a special delivery from the stork. I knew I was adopted, but I never thought more of it. My parents were simply my parents, even though they didn’t look like me. One day a kid in my class thought it was stupid I had white parents, when I clearly wasn’t, I realized it maybe was a bit weird. So I asked them about it and they told me the entire story.’
‘Must’ve been hard,’ Walter says.
I shrug. ‘Kinda.’
‘Does it bother you to this day? In your day to day life?’
These are very intense questions. He really does want to get to know me better, right? ‘You kinda carry it with you all the time,’ I say. ‘Oh no, I’m gonna cry.’ I blink my eyes fast, as I try to redirect both my feelings and his attention. ‘This is stupid, I’m sorry.’
‘No, no, no,’ he says, in such a soft and caring tone, that it almost makes me cry a little more. When was the last time someone was this caring about me outside my family? ‘Don’t apologize for your feelings.’
It just doesn’t match. His uninterested appearance versus this hidden caring nature of his. He leans forward and places his hand on my knee. A simple gesture, enough however to stop my heart from working. ‘I’ll try,’ I say, wiping the tears from my cheeks. ‘I promise.’
✎ ✎ ✎
After the well needed break, I was in the right mindset and managed to get a lot of work done. Turns out: I’m not stupid, I’m just a bit slow from time to time. Having someone that helps me, gives me a better understanding of it all.
‘You know,’ I say, as I pack my stuff in my bag, ‘your hair is quite dry and frizzy.’
‘Is it?’ Walter asks with a chuckle. ‘You have some nerves, young lady, to tell me my hair is frizzy after I helped you out.’
‘Just want to give you a bit of advice in return,’ I snicker.
‘Well, since you want to go to cosmetology school so badly, you tell me next week what products I need to use and I’ll be your test subject, how about that?’
He wants to see me again? Or does he mean after school? Or simply through texts?
‘Really?’
‘Of course, Penny.’
‘Thank you again for helping me out,’ I say. ‘I know this isn’t exactly in your job description.’
‘I’m happy to help, if it’s in my job description or not.’ He grabs my coat and helps me in it. ‘You want a lift?’
I shake my head. ‘It’s still light outside and I can go by bus. I need to do some groceries anyway.’
‘Are you sure?’
‘I am sure,’ I say. ‘Really, it’s not a big deal.’
‘Just share your location with me, okay? I want to make sure you’re back safe.’
Walter is such a caring and loving man, though he tries to hide it underneath all that grumpiness.
‘Okay, will do,’ I say, after I put on my shoes. I place my bag on the floor, grab my phone and start sharing my location with him for the next four hours. ‘What’s wrong?’ I ask him, when I push my phone in my back pocket and the two of us lock eyes.
‘Nothing,’ he says. ‘I just really got to know you. That was nice.’
I smile. ‘It totally was,’ I say. ‘I’d like to get to know you a bit more next time.’
Next time? I’m really suggesting a next time?
Walter barely responds to it, only a small cocking of his eyebrow. ‘Next time,’ he says. ‘You’ll get to know plenty about me.’ He takes a step forward, only for me to be able to smell his cologne. Gosh, what does one say right now?
While I’m contemplating the best topics, Walter seemed to have no issue coming up with something. ‘You’re staring again,’ he notes.
‘No, I’m not,’ I say to him, way too quickly. ‘Okay, maybe I was.’
You have to ask me again later on how exactly, but somehow my back is pressed against the wall. Walter places his hand on my cheek, his calloused thumb brushing over my parted lips. I don’t know where to look, but my gaze stops at his kissable looking lips.
His body is pressed against mine and two slow seconds passes before I feel his lips on mine.
What is this? Is he truly kissing me? I can’t believe this. My first kiss. I hold onto his thick sweater, my fingers wrapping tightly on the fabric, almost solely because my knees start to wobble like crazy. It’s the first time I felt someone’s lips on mine. Someone’s beard scratching my chin. Never before did I feel someone’s tongue carefully over my bottom lip. He cages me in between his thick arms. He is so much more overpowering, dominant, but boy, is it a role that suits him so well.
Much to my dismay, he pulls back to flash me a tiny smile. ‘I’ve been thinking about doing this for quite some time now today.’
‘Why?’ I ask him.
He smiles. ‘Just because,’ he says.
‘Well, I’ve been thinking about it too,’ I whisper.
‘What stopped you from doing it?’
‘You’re my professor, Walter.’
He nods. ‘I know. That should’ve stopped me,’ he admits.
‘No, no,’ I say, placing my hands on both sides of his face. ‘Don’t let it stop you. Please don’t.’ It sounds slightly needy, but I can’t help it. It’s the first time in my entire life I feel this alive. With his understanding, I notice finally the ability for me to figure out who I am as a person. However, those words stay close to my heart. I bite my bottom lip and he interprets it as an invitation and I’m so thankful he does.
The kiss is less soft than the previous one, far more intense. I don’t want to stop kissing him. His lips part from mine, evading his way to my nape to press wet kisses on the delicate skin. My fingers run through his hair. ‘Walter,’ I say and he looks up. I always notice the shift in gazes when he is with me. So much softer, gentle and caring than he is in class or with others. ‘Are you sure?’
‘Sure about what?’
‘Me?’
A crooked smile appears on his lips. ‘I’ve never been so sure.’
✎ ✎ ✎
Once I got home, realization truly hit. I just kissed my professor.
Was it smart? No.
Will I do it again? Probably.
Oh my, I’m falling for him, aren’t I? I had this insanely goofy grin on my face as I sat in the bus, did my groceries and went to my dorm. I bet I looked like a moron, but I couldn’t help myself. Walter’s lips on mine felt so good.
Those lips will be all I am going to think about. I take off my coat, only to realize I’m still wearing his sweater. It smells like him, his wonderful cologne.
I’m this deep in thoughts and little dreams, that I yelp when I hear a text coming in.
Walter: You’re home safe, right?
Oh, that’s right. I was sharing my location with him.
Me: Yes, I just walked in
Walter: Did you lock your door?
Me: Yes
Walter: Okay good
Me: Thanks for your help btw
Walter: Of course, not a problem
Me: I think I’m gonna go get ready for bed
Walter: Alright, princess
Walter: Good night

sea scare - JJ X Reader
a\n: have’nt done this whole writing thing in a while but i tried lol. loosly based off of my first date with my current bf, we’ve been dating for a little bit over a year now :)
TW: slight mentioning of weed and underage drinking
I was always in love with JJ. I think. Ever since I first laid eyes on him when we were kids. Back then I thought I was just looking for a friend, and who will be a better friend to me then the blonde kid who wears a different dinosaur shirt each day?
He had a green one with a T-rex in a tea cup that said “Tea-rex”, a red one with a “stage-osaurus” performing with a microphone and many more I barely remember. I had a dinosaur faze myself, so we was a perfect fit.
As we grew up, we grew out of the dino obsession, but we never grew apart. Now, when we are 16, I see that adoring a kid the way I adored him doesn’t mean he is my favorite friend, it means I like him as more than a friend. Thinking of the devil, my phone rang, and as it was “super-lit” by Gnash, I knew who it was without even looking. “Hey there Maybank” I answered the phone, “What have I done to win a call?” I add sarcastically. After what happened to JB, I barley heard from him. I wanted to be there for him, but he didn’t cooperated too well. “Hey there, (y\l\n)” he said. “I’m so sorry i drifted away, but I’m ready to talk about him now. I miss my girl” he said, so softly it almost didn’t sound like him. “Sure, yeah, wanna meet up?” I replied, and he agreed. “The beach, 10 minutes?” he offered. “The beach, an hour” I corrected him. As if I can change and get to the beach in 10 minutes. Did he forgot where I live?
JJ was already there, sitting on a towel next to a cooler. He saw me getting closer and moved the cooler, leaning on it to get up himself. His shirt was off and his hair seemed a bit damp. He already took a swim, the impatient little bitch. He pulled me into a hug, making me slightly damp. He just got out of the sea, it’s water.
“Hey” he laughed. Gosh, his laugh is even cuter than I remembered. He smiled at me, relived to see I actually came. “I was starting to think you won’t come” he admitted what I already knew. “And miss a chance to hear you say you were wrong? Never” I reply as I sit down next to him. “So, we’re diving straight to this, ha?” he said. “Well, you already dived into the water” I answered, and he mumbles the word “smartass”, but when I asked, he denies ever calling me that.
It’s been about ten minutes since.
“I wanted to be there for you” I finally break the silence, “and you wouldn’t let me. Do you know how insulting that is? To feel like your favorite person doesn’t want you around? Like what, was I not good enough?”
I didn’t mean to be harsh, but the way his smile turned upside down made me feel like maybe I was. “I’m sorry I made you feel like that, I would never do anything to hurt you, and that’s why I gave you space. I felt like maybe I would be a burden, you know? And I’d hate to stall you. I was stuck, still am, on finding my best friend” he said. “JJ, I hate to say it, but your best friend is-“
“Alive” JJ cuts me off, and pulls out his phone to show me a text exchange on his phone. JB is live. “Look, (y\n), I may not have lost my best friend JB that day, but I did lose another one. I lost you, and I regret that. I was a dick, but if there’s something I learned the past year is that having an awesome one doesn’t mean you need to be one” the blond guy says. “Did you really just-“
“Yes, it was funnier in my head” he admits, but I laugh anyway. “Okay, JJ, fine” I say, “I’ll be your friend again”. His smile gets wider, but shrinks again when I add my next sentence: “on one term. I want the hoodie”
“The hoodie? You mean the hoodie?” he asks, and I nod. He pulls two beers out of the cooler and opens them as I laugh maliciously. “I- fine” he gives up. It was actually sweet. I’m more important to him then the hoodie he lets every girlfriend and or hookup borrow when they spend the night. I always wanted hat hoodie, it’s very soft and always feels safe. I got to borrow once, but it was because I was cold and he happened to have I with him. People got the wrong idea that night, but I enjoyed it.
We talked for a while, catching up over beer and a joint, until he offers to go for a swim. “no” I say. See, I agreed to go to the beach, ever wore a swimsuit but I am very, very scared of the sea. I never go to deep, and for years JJ has been trying to convince me to swim with him, but I refused every single time. I assumed this was the reason he went in before I arrived, but no, that swim was not enough for my little water boy. I mean, not that I ever really think of him as mine, or as a water boy, I mean-
God, my brain is just embarrassing. Thank god he can’t read minds. “I know what you’re thinking” JJ says as he blows out some smoke and hands the joint over, and I look at him slightly scared. Can he read minds? “You’re thinking, Damm, JJ is so hot, I want to hold him very tight, as we go deep, deep… into the sea” he says. He almost got me the first half.
“no” I say, “never. We’ve been over this” I insist as per usual, putting the joint between my lips to take a hit, “you go, I’ll wait here” I say as I let out the smoke. He looks at me, waiting for something. But for what, I wonder, and take the last puff. I put out the joint, and I can feel it dropping from between my fingers as I’m being picked up by the blond monster.
He picks me up bridal style, and run straight into the water as I scream. People are looking, I assume, but he doesn’t care. “No, JJ, no!” i scream, but there’s no use. We’re in. like, really in. I cling onto him as much as I can, blushing hard.
“Are you completely sun burnet or are you blushing?” he asks as I attempt to look away, but I can’t. Makes me too stressed. He holds me tighter. “Just... Gosh, (y\n), wrap your legs around me” he asks. “What?” I look at him, confused. “You’ll be more comfortable” he explains, and so I do that. His arms are now wrapped around my waist, and I want to look away, I really do, but the sight of his blue eyes makes me a lot more calm then the blue sea around us. “It is better” I admit, and suddenly his lips smash onto mine. My hands move on their own to cup his cheeks and pull him closer.
“Fucking finally” he whispers as he pulls away to breath. “Huh?” I say, confused. “I always wanted to kiss you” he admits, “and I always felt like maybe you won’t be like-“ he pulls me closer with one arm to use the other one for a slamming-a-court-hammer mime moment, “-objection!” he says, slightly acting out the line then quickly puts his second arm back around me. “I just, I was always scared I might ruin our relationship, but now that I thought it was ruined and I fixed it I realized – if you’ll forgive me for being a dick, you’ll forgive me for giving you the best kiss you’ll ever have” he adds. “You’re cocky” I say, “having a cock, doesn’t mean-“
“I thought we agreed it wasn’t funny” he cuts me off, “actually say that again, I have a better way to cut you off now”. “Having a cock, doesn’t mean-“ I say, and once again his lips are on mine. Maybe I would’ve gotten the hoodie either way. I should think of a new term.

Hey! First of all, I love your story SO MUCH, you’re such an amazingly talented writer! Also, I was wondering if you could dig deeper into Micheal’s soft side (never get tired of it) in which maybe Y/N is sick, like she collapses for high fever or something, and he has to take care of her
thank you so much!! and ofc, I love exploring michael's soft side. he can be such a sweetheart when he wants to be (which is like never lol).
in which you’re sick
It would have been bearable if it was just exam week. You’d done that a million times. But the fact that you were also doing grad school applications along with your extracurriculars - suddenly you felt as if there was not enough hours in the day. In a week even.
Even with the sacrifices you’d made. You’d taken to forgetting food times. When you did remember, you’d have to eat during one of your other activities, usually studying and that just led to spills and half eaten food. It had only been about a week into these habits that you had gotten sick with a cold. It wasn’t a surprise, you were overworked, exhausted - no wonder your immune system was depleted. But it made your work and concentration that much more difficult, you’d cried more than once at the circumstances.
But maybe the hardest has been forgoing seeing your beloved boyfriend. It wasn’t that he was a nuisance, it was just that he was distracting and right then, you didn’t have to time to deal with distractions. Lest he succeed in distracting you like he so often does.
It’s been nearly two weeks since the last time you saw him. Something he agreed very begrudgingly to. But he knew how important your grades were so he agreed nonetheless. You texted him nearly hourly but still it felt nothing like having his comforting presence right next to you. It might have been the reason you caved and let him come visit you after he insisted. Not that he likely would have accepted your denial. He missed you just as much and he needed to see you, especially with how worried he was starting to become.
He used the excuse of bringing you lunch and you, weak and missing him, accepted it, knowing he would probably try to stay for much longer than just that.
But you could deal with that and him firmly when it came to that. He always listened to you.
You were at your desk, crumpled papers beside you, tissues, and about ten different tabs open on your computer, with the beginnings of one of your many application essays open on your tablet. You kept alternating between the two works and by the end of it, you almost felt a hysterical scream wanting to leave you. Nothing was good enough.
When you heard the keys clinking at the door, was the only time you had snapped out of your almost unhealthy focus on your work. By the time you realized just how awful you look, it was too late. Your hair was in a ponytail, different strands already falling out of the scrunch by how much you tugged at your hair in frustration. You wore no makeup and the bags under your eyes were more prominent than ever. The sick pallor to your face was probably so much more obvious, if the sniffles and occasional cough didn’t give your sickness away. Not to mention the pajamas that still adorned your body.
But Michael had already opened the door before you could even think of last minute changes to your appearances. All you could do was turn around in your chair to face him, clearing your throat in hopes of pushing back any coughs.
Just as it’d been nearly 2 weeks without seeing him, it’d been 2 weeks of you living this mentally drained lifestyle. And you looked it. Not that it mattered. Michael had never made you feel insecure or anything but the prettiest girl he’d ever laid his eyes on. He loved you, no matter how you looked.
And that was proven when he finally took you in after 2 weeks of not seeing you. His eyes shone with the same love they always held when he looked at you, now with also a sense of relief at finally being right with you. No hint of judgement.
There was a third emotion there too. Worry. But you didn’t have time to try to dissect it because you knew it would just lead him to get you to take a break and lose time you could be spending on working.
Normally you’d be the one who greeted him first, excitedly. But you were too tired to hold that same energy and you hadn’t used your voice for anything other than frustrated groans. All you could do was smile weakly when Michael lifted the bag of food in his hands. The action made you swoon just a bit, you knew it was likely his first time being so attentive to someone, going beside himself to make sure they’re fed and bring it to them. He never would have the same detail with anyone else.
“Got your favorite.” Michael gravely voice finally hit your ears and you had to close your eyes for a second. You’d missed him, much more than you had allowed yourself to think of.
Opening them back up took more effort than you wanted to think of. It seemed that now that you weren’t hyper focused on the work in front of you, the mental tiredness you had been ignoring was finally starting to seep in.
When you stood, you had meant to say a ‘thank you’ before walking over to serve your food but the moment you got to your feet, you felt a wave of dizziness overtake you. Your body swayed for a moment, only stopping when one of your feet that had almost lost its footing, stomped down and you took a hold of the back of the chair you just left. Eyes closed tightly to try to center yourself.
When you opened your eyes, Michael was staring at you with wide eyes, intense with the worry that had been there before much more prominent. “Are you okay?”
You nodded, coughing slightly despite yourself. “Yeah, sorry. I think I might just be hungry.” You tried for a giggle to lessen the mood but Michael didn’t smile or relax at all. His eyes just raked in your figure.
“Are you sick?” That would have been bad enough but if he knew you were sick and didn’t tell him so he could have made sure you were okay, all hell might break loose.
“Sorry I didn’t have time to make myself look better today, okay?” Your tone was a lot snappier than you intended for it to be and that he expected, as evidenced by him rearing back in surprise. You were just so tense. But instead of apologizing you just made your way over to him. No wobbling, no swaying. You were fine.
You didn’t want to deal with defending how you took care of yourself (or rather how you didn’t). You didn’t have time anyway. You’d barely have time to eat what he brought you but the least you could do was eat a bit of it.
“It smells great.” You sniffled. You tried to reach for your food but Michael moved the bag back. His eyes never left you, analyzing every little move you made. It was unnerving. You couldn’t imagine how others withstood his gaze whenever he was angry at them.
“Y/N-” You made an impatient sound. Every time he said your first name, he was serious. And somehow, right then, it made you defensive. “You said you only needed a few weeks to focus on your shit and that you’d be fine without me having to check on you.”
“I am fine.” You muttered yet you couldn’t quite meet his eyes when you said it.
“Yeah? Is that why you got dizzy just from fucking standing up?” His words were harsh and loud but you knew it was because he never really figured out how to show concern any other way. He was worried.
“I told you, I’m just hungry. I didn’t have breakfast today.” But maybe it wasn’t the right thing to say because you saw his eyes flare up with even more concern and anger. But right then, after spending days multitasking and still not even making a dent on the work you needed completed before your rapidly approaching deadline, you were able to match those emotions.
“Michael, I’m really not in the mood to argue with you today, okay? I’m busy and if I’d known you came here to judge everything I’m doing I would have told you not to come. I’m doing my best! Why is that….why…”
It was getting hotter in the room. You’d felt the warmth all day - week even - but as your anger and voice rose, so did the temperature. You barely had time to register the light headedness.
Your breath was shaky by the time you finished your rant and your eyes becoming suddenly distant as you looked around, confused, before you were falling backwards. You would’ve hit the ground if Michael hadn’t moved first and caught you in his arms.
You didn’t hear the frantic calls of your name, more scared than perhaps anyone had ever heard him, the apathetic man he was, sound. You didn’t feel the way Michael’s hands gripped your body, trying not to move you too much lest he do more damage. You didn’t feel the same dropping of his heart when he saw you go down and the freezing fear in his veins. The only thing you felt was his huge, shaky, sigh of relief when you opened your eyes a handful of seconds later.
With much effort, fluttering them to try to keep them open. You couldn’t really see what was in your line of vision, everything was so blurry. Eventually, it was too much effort and you kept them closed, but you felt yourself being picked up and carried. His heartbeat was fast, you felt as he carried you with your face pressed against his chest.
The first movement you made when he finally put you down on the soft bed was furrow your eyebrows, then your hand was rubbing your face. By the time you opened your eyes, confusion set in “What…?”
You didn’t finish when you looked beside you, seeing Michale on his knees next to the bed to be on your level. He looked paler than you’d ever seen him, eyes wide and watching you like a hawk.
It was then that it hit you that you didn’t really know how it ended up that he carried you into your room. You remember getting mad at him, the warmth that slowly overtook you, then the next thing you knew, you were in his arms.
Panic struck you next. How much time had you wasted? You had a final paper due by the end of the week. You had to submit an application in two days.
But when you attempted to sit up, much too fast if your dizzying head was anything to go by, Michael pushed you back down. No longer trying to negotiate with you. His eyes shown fiercely - letting it known that there was no room for compromise.
You couldn’t stop the four coughs that escaped you as you stared at him, pleadingly.
“Don’t.”
“But I have to-”
“You just fainted, Y/N.” Michael almost sounded mad but the waver in his voice gave away his true emotions. “You’re sick and your body’s exhausted, obviously. You’re not going to do shit. You’re going to rest and I’ll…handle it. Contact your professors or whatever so…don’t worry about deadlines or anything.”
His voice made it clear there was no point in fighting against him. Even though his relationships with professors was less than friendly and he never cared enough to ask for extensions for anything before in his life.
He took your hand in his big ones, dropping his head to rest his forehead on top of your fingers. As gentle as you’d ever seen him. “Why haven’t you been taking care of yourself?”
You didn’t answer for a long time and you were grateful that he wasn’t looking at you anymore so he couldn’t see the way your eyes filled with tears and your lip wobbled. You didn’t mean to scare him, or neglect yourself. But if you took the time to do anything else, you’d be behind. You were so tired.
“I d-don’t know.” You said as a few hot tears ran down your cheeks. “I’m sorry.”
You felt his hands brush some of your hair from your face softly. “You scared me.” He admitted and somehow, you knew that for Michael, admitting that weakness was hard. But he didn’t mind being vulnerable in front of you.
His eyes bore into you, almost too intensely for you to be able to handle. Until his hand came up to your forehead and you found the excuse to close your eyes so you wouldn’t have to watch the worry in his.
“You have a fever.” He got up and you didn’t even get the chance for your sluggish brain to wonder where he went before he was already back, carrying a small bowl of water with a rectangular mini-towel on top. You weren’t sure how he knew exactly what to do for you, how he seemed so soft and tender in these actions that were so unlike him.
He put the cool, wet towel on your forehead as he sat next to your lying form on the bed. He was so close to you, leaning over you. You were scared he would get sick because of you but when you finally opened your mouth to speak again and told him so, he ignored you. As if that was the last thing he was worried about.
From the moment you collapsed, his attention had been on you and nothing else. Nothing else mattered in his mind. And that translated in every attentive action that made you feel so taken care of. This side of your brash boyfriend, the caring, delicate side at a time when you needed it most nearly brought tears in your eyes. It made it very obvious that despite what he might seem to everyone else, he was the perfect boyfriend, would make the perfect husband. For you. He made you feel supported and at home even when your body and energy seemed to be turning their backs on you.
“I’m hungry, Mikey.” You tugged at his sleeve. You weren’t sure if you were, really. You’d gotten used to the pulsing headache from the lack of food throughout the week. But judging by the heaviness of your eyelids, threatening to close and the weakness in your body, in your energy, if you didn’t eat, you might shut down again.
Your voice was croaky but he didn’t comment on it. His answer was almost automatic, “I’ll get the soup I brought you.”
You’d almost forgotten why he had been there in the first place. He’d insisted because he had missed you. And you missed him. He came to take care of you, going out of his way to do what he would never do for anyone else, just never imagining you were at your limit.
It was almost embarrassing. Being in your weakened state in front of him and having him tend to you like a child. Especially when, sitting up in your bed with a disorientation and a feeling of tiredness that seemed to be the only things you could truly feel at the moment. Plus the muted feeling of stress that never seemed to go away; it was screaming that you should be doing your work, that you’d fall behind.
But you didn’t have time to dwell on it before Michael came back with a bowl of warm soup in his hands and sat next to you again. Saving you even from your own thoughts without realizing it. He placed the soup on your nightstand and it wasn’t until he began to get a spoonful that you realized he meant to actually spoon feed you.
To think of your boyfriend doing anything so nurturing seemed almost unnatural. Yet here he was, without an ounce of hesitation or embarrassment. It was such as mismatch from his personality, his reputation and it melt your heart to think that he cared about you so much to throw all of that away for you and his worry for you.
You could only manage a feeble, “You don’t have to…”
Michael stared at you silently for a while, not a decipherable emotion seen in his face, before bringing the spoonful of soup up to your lips. “I want to.”
And while you knew Michael wasn’t a big talker, those three words dripped with sincerity. Matching the loving actions and gestures he was currently doing for you. It was clear, if it wasn’t already before, that nothing was more important than being there for you when you needed him the most.
He didn’t let you talk again until you finished the food, feeding you each sip. Until he was satisfied that you had eaten enough to compensate for your lack of nutrients the weeks he spent without you. This was just as new to him as it was for you to see, this side of him. Doing things that he never would have dreamed of doing for someone else. But it felt like second nature when he saw the woman he loved more than anything else in such a vulnerable state. He yearned to take care of you, to provide for you. To keep you happy and healthy. Especially with how often you take care of him.
“Was it good?” He asked. Though he knew you would’ve liked it. If not simply for the fact that you hadn't eaten much else then certainly for the fact that he went out of his way to go to your favorite restaurant and pick your favorite item from their menu. The one you got every time he took you there.
You nodded, “Thank you.”
You weren’t expecting it when Michael enveloped you into a hug. So tightly you couldn’t even hug him back even after you got over the shock. His face was buried in your tangled, messy hair. He breathed you in as if taking in the fact that you were okay, he mumbled into your hair, “I know how much you care about school and how hard you try because of that but….none of that shit matters compared to you.”
It was so hard for him to be without you for so long. But he did it for you, to give you the time you had asked for to focus on your work. It had never occurred to him the bad mental state the solitude could leave you in, what it would do to your physically. If he had known, he never would have let you be alone. He would’ve fought you tooth and nail if it was what it took but he would have checked up on you, been there for you. And that’s exactly what he’ll be doing from now on. He’ll be there for you.
“Get some rest,” He reluctantly let you go. “You need to sleep.”
When Michael got up, though you were objectively much too warm because of your fever, you felt a lonely cold. You didn’t want him to stay away so you could study and work anymore. You needed him and all the comfort he brought to your soul. And he didn’t want to leave you anymore either.
“Mikey!” You called to him as he switched off the light to your room. You heard him hum in answer. “Don’t leave, please.”
He didn’t answer you. But you felt him get into bed beside you, kicking off his shoes as if it wasn’t the middle of the day - as if he had nothing else he would rather do than sleep right then next to you. And by the way he put his entire day on hold the minute he saw your condition, you guessed he didn’t. You had an inkling that while you had every intention of not letting him distract you when he had first arrived, that he had already been planning on staying the entire day anyway.
You were glad he did. You wouldn’t have been able to keep going the way you were if he hadn’t forced you to confront your self-neglect and tended to you with such dedication and love.
Both of you were silent and you could feel your tired body begin to drift to sleep when your boyfriend spoke up from beside you. “Promise me you’ll start looking after yourself, no matter how stressed or how much stuff you have to do. Promise.”
You weren’t snuggled into him like you would want. But you could feel him on his side, staring at you in the dark. His voice was serious with a hint of desperation. He needed to hear you say it. To know that his loved one would never be put in such a mistreated circumstance ever again, you didn’t deserve it. Nothing deserved to have you feeling anything but cherished, healthy and confident. Not even yourself. Because he believed in you so completely.
Though he never planned on leaving your side, emotionally or physically, to have any negativity enter your thoughts or habits ever again. He was willing to carry the weight of the world if it meant you would feel the strength and happiness that had been beat out of you.
“I promise.” Your words were small but it was good enough. Michael took you in his arms then, again not caring for any risk he was running of getting sick himself.
The next time you spoke, it was mumbling against his shirt. “I’m sorry you had to see me like this. I must’ve looked so gross because I didn’t really get ready all week and I-”
“Shut up.” His words held absolutely no bite, they were whispered. “I don’t give a damn what you looked like today. You never look bad to me. I only cared about making sure you were okay. And I’ll keep being here to make sure, I’m never leaving you alone again. I promise. No matter what you say.”
Your heart felt so full at his sweet words, just for you.
Then it was back to the comfortable silence. Until you began coughing again, this time against his chest and you tried to pull away quickly, both scared for his health and embarrassed. “Michael, seriously, you’ll get sick.”
But Michael’s strong arms were like steel bracketing you to his body. Unmoving despite your protests. He only cared about finally keeping you to him, where he knew he could protect you and keep you close, especially after so long without you and having your health deteriorate because he wasn't around.
“Yeah, maybe I’ll get my own class extensions then if I do.” He said it seriously, and knowing his academic achievement, or lack thereof, you didn’t doubt he meant it.
But still, you couldn’t help but giggle at his words, knowing he was smiling right alongside you without even having to see it. It felt foreign, laughing after so long of your negative thoughts and stressed lifestyle but nice especially because of all those things. A positive, carefree spirit that filled you because of your loving boyfriend and being so cocooned in his protection right at that moment.

To my beloved Masamune. It is March now, and the frost has begun its retreat from the air. You are not here, and I do not expect to send this letter… Yet I miss you so much the words seem to be writing themselves without much help. In this very moment, I wish I could ask how your day was. It is one of those rare instances where I miss modern technology – my helplessness is simply disarming me completely. I console myself with the thought that you will be back tonight. I missed seeing your face so bad. There are so many things I want to tell you, my heart is overflowing. I don’t think I should let any of them spill, yet I cannot hold all either. So, even if just on this paper, I must confess: I love you, Masamune. I love you so much it hurts. I could not focus on anything but your return the entire day. I cannot let you see this letter. You will never let me forget it. Although maybe... Maybe I should.

To my courageous Masamune.
It is April now, and you came back all beaten and tattered. Your muscles tensed whenever I touched your skin. The disinfectant seeping into your cuts did not help either, I suppose… But you hugged me tight all the same, and did not let go for long. Your breath tickled my neck as you held your ear pressed against my pulse. I wonder, how bad was it this time? But do not get me wrong. I do not mind, I can stay in your arms for however long you desire.
This time, however, it was different. I cannot describe the feeling that I felt when you looked up at me and simply said you feel terrible and need rest. You… Appeared so vulnerable? And I know it never comes easy to you to be in this state.
I love you so much. Thanks for coming back yet once again. I am writing this as you sleep only a few meters away. Please, rest well – and thank you for trusting me yet once again.
~
To my flirtatious Masamune.
It is May now, and the weather has got quite warm already. However, my dear tiger, treat this as a note of complaint! Although… You will never see it, hopefully. You would see all the other ones then.
Never mind that! How dare you! You big, unruly, sneaky…!!! You know my knees get weak when you kiss me, and yet…! In the middle of the crowd, at that! Truly, my “knees were not a problem” as you put it after lifting me up, but my face surely was! I was red like a crab, Masamune!
How dare you uphold that air of coolness! If it were not for what you whispered… Curse that too, argh! Surely, nobody realised, and you always walk this fast, but… But it is the next morning, and I still am a mess after all the things you did to me the last night!
How dare you stay on my mind even now. Well, you did leave some marks, so surely, it is hard not to think of it, but… ! I want to lay in your arms a little longer, but alas. You had to start work early today of all days…
~
To my caring Masamune.
It is June now, and somehow, I managed to catch a cold. It is nothing much, really, but you insist I don’t leave bed today… Honestly, I feel a little guilty, but I am enjoying myself. You’re spoiling me quite a lot, my love, and I can hardly oppose it…
You brought some of your work here, so that you could watch over me while I napped. You checked my fever, brought me more covers when I was cold, even got Shogetsu to cuddle me up. When I woke up, you cooked me porridge, and I don’t know what rituals you did in the kitchen, but it was beyond delicious. Or perhaps I’m getting better?
My eyelids are heavier and heavier… And you’re insisting I stop writing and cuddle with you now. You didn’t want to move to sleep in a separate bed either… How could I refuse? I swear, tiger, some may say you hardly care, but whenever I see you acting like this, my heart beats faster.
~
To my curious Masamune.
It is July now, and this is both a letter of praise, and of complaint. For somebody who learns so fast, you surely never learnt not to get taken away by challenges. However, here end my complaints, as it… Surely is quite entertaining.
We are still running away from our own allies now. We have just settled for the night, and you are calling for me to come eat and sit with you by the fire. Have I ever told you you are the most beautiful when you are free and wild? No? Because your eye sparkles so gorgeously now.
You’ve made me appreciate so many new sides of life. I love sharing it with you, both the good and the bad. I don’t know what you’ve made, but let’s be honest, there are only starts above us and I couldn’t care any less about food right now.
Yes, yes, I’m coming, you impatient cat…
~
To my hardworking Masamune.
It is August now, and you are swarmed with work. I do not know how you manage to stay on top of it… But truly, you seem tired now. You set off early, and come back late, and it takes little before you fall asleep.
You… You cannot know it, but each night, you return my embrace quite strongly, even if deep slumber has already claimed you. You are adorable – your nose crinkles slightly whenever I kiss your forehead. I started telling you I love you, and you usually mumble back that you love me too… Then you generally get a little upset and nuzzle into my neck, and sometimes scoff about some pillows or radishes, whichever one it is this time around.
I must never reveal the fact that you talk in your sleep if you are tired enough. What if you forbid me from ever indulging in it ever again? I don’t think I could live without it anymore.
Signed,
Your Beautiful Futon
~
To my joyous Masamune.
It is September now! I want to go celebrate with you, so this letter will be brief:
Thank you for having been born, Masamune.
Please, live a long life. I want to love you plenty more. I need to love you plenty more. To hear you laugh, to see your smile… Your happiness is infectious, and I want for it to last for as long as it can.
~
To my resilient Masamune.
It is October now, and it came in sour, as if to balance the joy of the previous month. This battle was harsh. You emerged victorious, but at what price? So many were lost… Although I think you would care even for a single person just as much. War is a dreadful thing, to say the least. You know it better than I will ever be able to. That is why you protect me from it, is it not? I wish I could carry half your burden...
When you returned, you only latched onto my wrist. Your hands were cold, and you looked almost lost. Were you scared that I would be gone too? My love, my heart… You held yourself together bravely the entire time, but I am glad you let yourself unwind once in our quarters. I needed to feel that you were alive too.
I helped you wash, and you seemed to relax when I ran my fingers through your wet hair. Perhaps the bath was a good idea in the end. I hope no nightmares come your way today – but if any do, I will do my best to chase them all away. I know you would do great by yourself… But I love you, so please, do share some of your concerns.
~
To my grumpy Masamune.
It is November now, and oh my, I got to pay you back for how sweetly you cared for me when I was ill. It appears it was your time, my love. I did not expect you to resist so much! “Sleep in a different room”?! As if I would even consider that much! But… You were quite sweet once you caved in. If we were in the future, I would give you a good patient badge!
Kojuro came in later too. You were so adorable when he started telling stories from your childhood! Ah, and you were locked in bed, so for once, I got a chance to actually listen to them too! A shy little Masamune… I wish cameras were a thing in this time.
It was a good day, but please, do not fall ill much. I will always care for you, it is only that… As much as your pouts were a sight to behold, I love your content smile even more. I will have to make some of today up to you.
~
To my thoughtful Masamune.
It is December now, and you surprised me yet once again. I do know we celebrated Christmas together once, but I did not expect for you to hold onto the idea. This time, you organised everything by yourself, with your own twists to everything.
The party was great – the music, the food, the gifts, I loved every single moment of it. You dressed well too, and I swear, you look even more handsome in the more so festive clothes. It was just cool enough for me to shamelessly cuddle into your side as well… Did you plan that as well?
I must thank you for the gift tomorrow. You must have had ordered this fabric months in advance. It… It really feels amazing knowing that you truly listen to what I say. I love you, Masamune. Somehow, you have this way of making me feel loved even without using any words.
~
To my adventurous Masamune.
It is January now, and winters in this part of the country tend to grow rather harsh. The snow is thick, and it seemingly keeps on falling, and falling… I did not expect for you to suggest taking a trip, much less one to the hot springs.
I do not know what heated me up more – your kisses or the water. Good thing we retreated to our room fast, otherwise we could be thrown out of the estate. I am quite relaxed after we have made love… Perhaps my initial fear of you suggesting doing it in the snow was completely unfounded. Well, you would not force me to go forward with it anyway, but your drive for novelty is infectious at times.
You went out to get some food for us to share, and I am still lying in bed. The pillow smells of you, and the covers are pleasantly warm from our shared heat. I think you will want to slide right next to me once you are back, will you not? I know you do better with cold than the heat, but is it not too tempting? Ah, I think I can hear your steps… I wonder, what are those plans for tomorrow you have made.
~
To my calm Masamune.
It is February now. You seem to be at home plenty, and I welcome the change. We cook together nearly everyday, and I am enjoying it a lot. At first, those were more of classes than anything else, but now… We recreated some of the future dishes I told you about. Is that not amazing? You truly could be a chef in my original time.
However! Today I shall take my revenge! Just you wait and see, Masamune Date! I will pay you back for all those hugs from behind, and “sampled dishes”, and for all those “you seem to have a bit of the sauce over your lips”! I prepared something you did not expect yourself, and you have made me this devil!
I hope I can get this surprised face out of you. It should be tasty enough for that? I should carry it to you before it gets cold…
~
To my beloved Masamune.
It is March again, and I love you all the same.

the sun will rise again - mlp fic
part two this is part one! part two and so on will be updated/reblogged when they are out! contents: aj and big mac are like. 13 and 15. big mac realizes she is a trans woman, and is guided by applejack, but there is much more to it than just that lol. its also a little hard for her. sappy, feel-good, tough internal conflict but overall happy fic. paragraph one is previewed here, the rest is below the cut! (note: i am aware my blog makes posts a little hard to read bc of a glitch, i am trying to fix it at the moment, i apologize D: i rec reading it on tumblr mobile or highlighting the words as you read, im sorry!)
-
Big Mac shuffled his hooves awkwardly. Racing thoughts fought furiously, cluttering his hurting head, and he put a weary hoof against his temple in an attempt to clear the fog. No avail. It was as strong as ever, the rushing current of rip tide sweeping him in the more he struggled. He insisted he'd never felt this way before, trying violently to shake away the thought, it made him shudder. But deep down somewhere he knew, he couldn't hide this strong feeling he'd become so familiar with. It felt like home, but he was trapped inside with the windows boarded and the floorboards were so old they were making him fall through with every step, and there were thick dusty cobwebs everywhere he tried to rest his burdened hooves. He couldn't leave. Outside of his overflowing head, there was a faint knocking at his door, though he had tuned it out completely. His thoughts whirled, and everything was making *so* much noise, the ceiling fan, the electricity in the walls, the birds outside, even the trees being rustled by the evening wind. Everything was so loud, and so muffled and far away, so close and inside his ears, they twitched eagerly trying to bat the harsh noise away, all collected into one horrid ear-piercing amalgamation of staticy sound. His fur was disturbed by his blankets, and his teeth felt uncomfortable as they grit desperately in an attempt to relax, his eyes were dry despite how much and how hard he was blinking, it felt like even the smallest thing would throw him overboard in this thundering storm of unsettlement. -
The knocking got louder. "Big Mac!" The sound was lost in the chaos of it all, but it prevailed. "Big Mac!" There it was again. It didn't quite reach him yet, though. But my, was it there. Incessant. Pounding. Oh, the headache of it all. Just adding to the pile. It hesitated. "Big Mac." The gentle coo reached him, piercing through the overwhelmingly loud silence in the air, he felt this odd choking sensation in his throat when he registered the voice, so familiar and so loving. But would it continue to be after this? The thought scared him. Fear struck his spine in striking bolts, waves of dread sulked, creeping in and making their nest in his aching body. He was so tired of coming back to this again and again, but it plagued his mind like a cold. He realized his internal monologue had been ongoing - even though it hadn't really spoke - but alas he had been lost in his own downward spiral of paranoia again, and had forgotten to respond. "Yu- uh- eeyup?" he stuttered out like he was drowning, he felt and sounded like a silly foal learning to walk for the first time again. He pushed his hoof lightly against his throat, shocked at his own lack of voice. Usually he was calm and confident, knowing what he wanted to say, despite how little it ever was. However he feared this would give way to his sister finding out, that she would know something was awry with him. "Can I, uh, come in?" the voice questioned. He nodded, then processed he had forgotten to use his words, and managed a sheepish "Yup." "Uh, okay." She responded equally as softly, her voice leaving a tinge of confusion to be interpreted. Applejack trotted in, her hooves making the wood beneath her creak as the old house settled. She nudged the door shut behind her nonchalantly with her back hoof, not taking her gaze off of what was ahead of her. She made a gesture towards Big Mac's bed and tilted her head, knowing he was a horse of few words, moreso when he got this way. And goodness, how he could manage to get into his own head. Applejack understood the feeling, more than he was letting on. Applejack got up and sat down awkwardly, glancing at her hooves as they, too, dragged over one another slowly, she never did like eye contact. Big Mac was more fidgety - he was straight-up restless, as he clapped his hooves together ceaselessly, clicking them atop one another with a hard "Clink." The silence was substantial, but it wasn't like it bothered them, usually. It drove Big Mac up the wall, he was sweating buckets thinking about what Applejack could possibly say. *Did she find out? Does she know? Does she hate me? She hates you. She knows and she hates you. She'll never forgive you. She'll never see you the same-* his thoughts were cut off abruptly. "So, big brother," she chuckled stiffly, "what's on your mind?" Blunt and to the point. She looked upward briefly, catching a glimpse of his face, caught in an uncomfortable twist as his mouth hung downward and his eyes sunk, staring blankly ahead. Neither of them looked at the other, but this again, was not unusual. When she said 'brother,' the word stung like a mosquito bite. It was barely there, but just enough to irritate him. And it grew bigger the more he picked away at it and gave it the time of day. Maybe if he just ignored it it'd heal itself, he thought. Her words in general hung high above his head, and he had forgotten to respond with the way he was over-analyzing it a million different ways inside. What was on his mind, besides this scary, burning question gnawing him alive? He gave a lackluster response to divert any inkling of anxiety, "Oh, nothing," and with that he kicked his back hooves loosely up, and they swung back down heavily in the empty air. What else could he say? The silence sat for a couple of seconds. Too long for Applejack's liking, she was growing a bit impatient with his lack of answers. She looked up and moved her head upward in tune with her eyes, rolling her head from one shoulder to the other as her lips pouted and she let out a quick exhale. She looked down at her teetering hooves again. "Nothing..." she repeated, tapping her hooves together about three times, give or take, she wasn't paying attention. "Oookay.." she said in a quiet tone, and the cadence in her voice had shifted after this minute or two of waiting. She scratched the back of her ear. "Well, if you won't tell me, I'll figure it out myself." She looked up and beamed what was supposed to be a reassuring smile, which came out rather awkward. It fell just as awkwardly. She wasn't the best at conveying emotion, but neither was Big Mac. They had that in common. "Ok, I'll spit it out, rapid-fire," she said funnily, holding her hooves up and moving one in front of the other and back again in tune with the quirky enunciation of the last word. If nothing else, she was making an attempt to lift his low spirit. She inhaled, "Is it about me? About Ma or Pa? *Granny?* Baby Bloom?" and with that she exhaled overexaggeratedly. It took a second, but the half-smile she had faded from her face as he stood there saying nothing, simply folding one hoof over his other arm, rubbing it rigidly and looking away, and what she hoped was not true, had hit her. It was about himself. "Oh.. brother," she whispered to him, "You can tell me anything," she reached her hoof up toward him, pulling it back when it was halfway there as she winced at his lack of response, not even a lean-in to her gesture, but she continued anyway. She gingerly put her hoof on his shoulder. Becoming more confident with her comforting, she rubbed his back gently. "So it's about you?" He took a second, and nodded somberly. "Hey, that's alright. Tell me what's on your mind for real now, when you're ready. If, you're ready." AJ's voice, he found, was quite calming. Big Mac shot a glance at her timidly, then down at her hooves, and back up at her, but he couldn't look too long in order to stop the waterworks from coming. He gulped dryly and looked at the wall, and after the ceiling. He watched the fan dodder decrepitly, but so sure of itself, it's purpose, rotating on it's axis, again, and again, and again. He wished he could be so sure of himself, he wasn't sure if he ever could be, though. And here, he found himself envying the rotating of a ceiling fan. What an interesting moment, he thought sarcastically to himself. Was this really where he was at? He zoned out briefly, watching the blades go in circles, and then snapped himself back to reality with a hard blink, a downward motion of his head, and a squeezing of his hooves. "I..." he started softly and then trailed off. He sighed in dejection. "I- Well, I am me. But... I'm not. I look in the mirror, and it's not me looking back. I know that sounds... stupid, but it's not me. It's not like it isn't who I am, it's just not me. And I, don't know why. I mean I think I do, but I don't - sometimes-" He took a second to collect himself and inhaled, exhaling sharply after, he put his hoof firmly against his chest, as if almost trying to coax the words out. "I'm me, but I'm not. I'm not who I'm meant to be, I, I was born wrong. My body is wrong," he shook his head, like trying to shake the bad thoughts away. "It's not mine. I was born with something wrong about me, outside, inside I'm me, but outside I'm not. But - I'm not bad or anything, it's just that there was something different. And, you know that funny feeling of those butterflies in your tummy when someone you like says your name? I'll get that, but I won't recognize my name as mine, but I do get that feeling when...ponies accidentally call me what they call fillies, even though they don't mean to and fix 'emselves right after, and they act like it's so wrong, but I still get that funny feeling of, goodness. It catches me off guard in the best way... my heart skips a beat. And I know I'm s'posed to like girls, but there was something wrong about me lovin' 'em... it feels like. I feel real guilty-like when I start getting all lovey about one. It feels like I'm not allowed, like there's somethin'.." he teared up, "different. About me." He emphasized the last word quite significantly. He began to finish, not wordvomitting as much as he was before, instead saying it slowly, as if he was really trying hard to get his thoughts out. "I- I think, I think if I were born in the right body I'd be happier, but I don't want to change me, I just...want to change how people *see me."* Applejack raised her eyebrows and looked down, pushing her hooves together. She couldn't move, and she didn't. Big Mac's welling up had turned to a tear, gently rolling down his cheek. He held his breath, eyes darting back and forth from his sister's gaze - or lack thereof. Applejack held her breath as well. "Big mac, well - gosh." she let out staggeredly, anxiously chuckling, raising her hoof to her chest as she exhaled bluntly. Big Mac felt it coming, Roaring and Crashing. The water was surrounding him still, no matter how subtle it was before, it had been growing this whole time. Internal dread multiplying like a bilious bacteria, out to get him and cover him in it's killing spores. It must've been at least neck-high now. AJ chuckled, "Big Mac, I love you no matter what. You're my family." She looked him in the eyes, "It's gonna be ok." And there was the straw that broke the camel's back. It came through gently, like a soft breeze through his hair in summer, but it broke him so, so ruthlessly. He bit at his bottom lip and released, his mouth turning to a shaky U-shaped frown, and he bawled. Oh, how he bawled. He lunged for his sister's arms, which quickly opened for him to land in. Applejack huffed as the wind left her with his impact, but she regained control of herself and softly smiled, tenderly hugging him back. His head rested on hers, as hers on his. "It's alright big guy," she laughed. "In fact, I think I know exactly what's up." She pushed him off cautiously, and held her hoof against his shoulder. His tears subsided slightly, he wiped them with a trembling hoof. "Have you ever thought that maybe you feel like you're in the wrong body, because you're really a mare? I know nobody sees you that way right now, but I could start if that's who you really are." Big mac's pupils constricted, and he felt a leap in his chest. A mare? He tried so hard to push it out, but he couldn't. A mare. A mare! He let out a small smile, "A mare..." he then promptly shook his head. "But, I can't be. I wish it was that easy, that I could just be a mare, oh I wish so bad AJ," he put his hooves together and shook them, like he was pleading. He pushed her hoof off of him, sighing and speaking again, his voice cracking from the tears and raw emotion, "But I never could. I couldn't. I wish I could, but I'm not allowed to." he sighed defeatedly. Applejack chuckled, "Says who? All it takes is you saying you can. And I'll be honest, I feel like a lot of people don't give it much thought whether they want to be a mare or not - they just are." It all clicked. They, just are. He processed it for a second, and thought, and the thoughts slipped into words, "I'm a mare," he whispered. He smiled, the most genuine smile he'd ever shown. "I'm, a mare." He laughed, looking at Applejack. "A mare! I'm a mare!" His smile faded slightly, "But Applejack, am I still allowed to like other fillies? I figure now I'll have to like colts, that's what I've heard at least, and I really don't want to-" despite his concerns, he still looked quite euphoric. Applejack laughed again, "No, Big Mac, you can still like mares. It doesn't work that way I'm pretty sure." She rubbed the back of her head, "If it's any help, you can do whatever you want... What feels right." She closed her mouth and grinned, waving her hoof in the air dismissively of any negativity, her eyes in the other direction. Stopping, she looked at the ground and fiddled her hooves, "I, I actually know a lot about how you're feeling," she spoke nervously, cautiously, dancing around her words like she had something she didn't want to admit to herself as well. "I, know how you feel - about liking mares and, and the wrong body an' stuff. Feeling like your body isn't yours, it doesn't belong to you and never will, unless you make a big change, or somethin'. I get it. I feel wrong when people say I'm a girl, but I don't reckon I'd feel right with them callin' me a boy or something either - I don't think I really feel like either." She paused, cutting herself off, "I don't expect that to make sense to you, I know it's kind of weird and all." Big Mac thought for a bit, and then nodded, "No, I get it. I mean - I don't, but, I know you're you, no matter what, and I don't care who you are, you're still my sibling." Big Mac smiled nervously, trying to make sure he was doing the right thing. "And you're my sister, Big Mac," Applejack smiled back at him. "Now, how do you feel about me calling you by girl terms? Like, sayin' she, and stuff..." she struggled to think of an example. "Oh! Like, if I meet someone, I'll tell 'em "Oh Big Mac? She's my big sister!" Applejack let out a wide twinkling grin, feeling confident and proud with supporting her sister's feelings. "I, I like that." Big Mac said shyly, and she did. "Wait, how do I do the same for you?" she questioned. Applejack stalled, she really didn't think she'd get this far. "I think... I really like being called he, and brother and such. Although to be honest I'm not your sister and I'm not really your brother, and I still like other fillies - but I'm not one of them, or not in the same way, and - I don't know, it's a little confusing. I think the only way that I'm a filly is in the sense that I'm a mare who likes other mares. I don't really know what any of this is called," he voiced embarrassedly. "I wish I did." Big Mac smirked, "It's okay you don't, I don't know either. And we can learn together, little brother." She fluffed Applejack's hair playfully and her smirk became a toothy smile. Applejack laughed and joined her smiling. "Thanks," he said, quite gratefully. "To be honest, I've known this for a really long time, I just didn't know how to say it," he looked out the window longingly, "I wish I knew how to tell Ma and Pa, or Granny," he laughed a little, "and I don't even know how to tell a baby," he uttered, trying to lighten the mood a little after bringing it back down. Big mac grinned, "Why don't we go out to the orchard, little brother?"

True Intentions
So, the latest Pokemon Masters event gave me Feelings, and therefore I had to write something for it.
Needless to say, this contains Pokemon Masters event spoilers, verbal/mental abuse, and one reference to physical child abuse.
And in case the “read more” breaks, this is also tagged as a long post.
N stepped into the cave, his heart thudding. He could see the oh-so familiar cloaked figure in the distance, and he swallowed hard. He was not alone, for which he was very grateful, but companionship was not doing much to assist his nerves.
‘You’re sure about this?’ his companion dubiously asked. In Nate’s opinion, N was making a huge mistake, and it was not yet too late to turn back.
‘Yes. This is the answer I’ve come to. I’m sure,’ N insisted, and Nate held back a sigh. Damn it. ‘...Thank you for coming with me, though.’
‘It’s fine,’ Nate replied. ‘I wouldn’t want you to go and see him alone.’
‘Mmmm,’ N murmured. He knew only too well that Nate had a point. ‘We need to be careful when dealing with a man like… him.’
N had tripped over his words. He was uncertain how to refer to the man they were meeting. “Ghetsis”? “Father”? As much as he wanted to call the man “Father”... it was too soon. Much too soon for that.
‘I’m still a little worried,’ N confessed, after a pregnant pause.
‘Yeah, well no matter what happens, I’m on your side,’ Nate promised.
‘Thank you…’
Any further conversation was cut off, by a sudden interruption.
‘N! You’ve come to see me!’ a voice called out. For a moment, N froze; when they entered, Ghetsis had his back to them. His and Nate’s conversation had been in whispers, and he had assumed Ghetsis had not seen them yet.
He shook himself out of his reverie, his face calm, stoic, as he turned to lock eyes once again with the man he called Father, his abuser.
At least in appearance, Ghetsis had not changed. N sincerely hoped that was the only thing that remained static. Incredibly tall, Ghetsis towered over those he met, and his own son was no exception. He still used a cane. N’s gaze lowered to the gloved hand that held onto it, as his mind helplessly wandered to thoughts of what was hidden beneath the cloak. Was Ghetsis’ health the same? Had it improved? Or perhaps worsened?
That was the most likely scenario; Ghetsis always had a great love of expensive wines, scotches and other such alcoholic drinks, and it had taken its toll on him. Combined with one arm, the nerves permanently damaged by his Hydreigon, Ghetsis was an incredibly unhealthy man.
N lifted his head, staring his father in the eyes. One was still covered, and the other just as vividly scarlet as he remembered. It was difficult for him to maintain eye contact, but he forced himself to push through it.
‘I’ve come to let you know my answer,’ N declared. He had taken a quiet, deep breath in before speaking, to ensure his voice would not wobble, nor crack.
His head had been spinning, ever since Ghetsis initially approached him. Wanting to be a father to him again…
Though in order for him to be a father “again”, he had to have been one before. N knew that, deep down. But it was a thought he tried to keep pushed to the back of his mind.
‘Let’s send out our Pokemon,’ N added, when Ghetsis remained silent, just observing him.
Zekrom and Kyurem were both released from their Pokeballs, two thirds of the Tao Trio coming eye to eye with one another again for the first time in years.
‘Well? What’s your answer?’ Ghetsis demanded. Still so impatient.
‘...I don’t think it’s possible for us to become a true father and son so easily…’ N cautiously replied. His nerves were threatening to spill over, and he grabbed the brim of his cap. Something to focus on, while under his father’s scarlet gaze. ‘But… if you’ve really had a change of heart, and are seriously prepared to face people and Pokemon, then… maybe one day, it will be. That’s why I need you to show me that you have love in your heart -’
Ghetsis, the lower half of his face hidden by his incredibly high collar, clenched his jaw together tightly. How the fuck was he going to do that?
‘- through battle!’
Oh. The former Plasma leader relaxed. That was alright, then.
‘Father!’ The word escaped N’s lips, as he called out to the man before him. Ghetsis’ eyes slid shut.
‘I am grateful you’ve given me this opportunity…’ he started, his voice soft. N’s demeanour changed a little - Ghetsis was accepting what he said? Then maybe, just maybe, he had been telling the truth, after all! If Ghetsis could work on his issues, and treat those around him like human beings, and N himself like one, instead of an extension of Ghetsis, then -
‘Thank you for this chance.’ Ghetsis’ voice pulled N out of his thoughts again. The Plasma leader’s face twisted into a wicked grin, as he leant forward on his cane, a malicious glint in his eye. ‘To capture Zekrom for myself!’
No. No, please, God, no -
‘What?’ N gasped. The words left him winded, as though Ghetsis had struck him with his cane.
And it was a feeling he remembered all too well.
‘Now! Restrain Zekrom!’ Ghetsis commanded, his voice thunderous, as N tried to wrap his head around what was going on.
How could you be so stupid? Of COURSE Ghetsis was going to betray you, it’s what he DOES! the former king mentally chastised. How could he have been taken in so well? How, even now, with years free from Ghetsis’ influence, could he still be so easily manipulated?
As Ghetsis slammed his cane down on the rocky ground, several unfamiliar figures in black and white masks suddenly leapt out, having been waiting for Ghetsis’ signal. More Pokeballs were flung into the air, as more Pokemon were sent out, between N and Ghetsis.
Crackles of electricity zapped around Zekrom, the giant legendary held in place. N had frozen up again, feeling helpless, lost for what to do.
‘Zekrom!’ he cried.
‘It can’t move,’ Ghetsis said, a sinister chuckle coming forth. ‘I took special measures to use Pokemon that can hold it in place.’
N’s hands clenched into tight fists, shaking. How could I be so stupid? The entire thing had been a scam. Not only had Ghetsis prepared his Hydreigon to counter his team, not only had he made sure the Shadow Triad had Pokemon that could take down Zekrom, he had now done the same thing again on Pasio, to ensure he got what he wanted!
And like a fool, I fell for it, N’s mind traitorously whispered.
‘What d’you think you’re doing?!’ Nate angrily snapped. He looked as though, if the Pokemon were not there, he would run at Ghetsis and try to physically attack him.
‘I can’t believe you’d actually do such a thing…’ N’s voice was flat, hollow, belying the deep sense of betrayal that was rooting him on the spot.
‘Of course I would!’ Ghetsis taunted, cackling. In typical Ghetsis style, he seemed to be relishing rubbing salt into the wound. When he spoke again, his voice was a disdainful sneer, not making the slightest effort to mask his contempt for his own child. ‘I only put on that ridiculous act so that I could get my hands on Zekrom! That is all you’re worth to me! As if we could be a true family! Me? With a freak like you?!’
N’s jaw was clamped tightly shut, only barely managing to contain an outburst of pain at Ghetsis’ words. He had heard that insult too many times.
“He’s nothing more than a freak without a human heart!”
“DON’T TALK LIKE A PERSON, YOU FREAK!”
He had lost count of just how many times that word had been wielded like a weapon against him throughout his entire life. Every time he had attempted to talk to his father, particularly about his ability to talk to Pokemon, it had always gone the same way.
And that was no doubt the reason why, as an adult, he was still being called a freak. Because Ghetsis had always refused to believe his claims.
The fight had left N, and he did not bother to counter his father’s harsh words. But Nate was livid.
‘How dare you play with N’s feelings like that?!’ he yelled, launching his Pokeball into the air, Braviary bursting from it. ‘I’m going to help N protect Zekrom!’
With an instruction to attack, and N still paralysed, Nate began to battle the Team Break grunts that had gathered under Ghetsis’ command, and easily took them down. As the last opposing Pokemon fell, Ghetsis’ expression twitched, ever so slightly.
‘...Not bad,’ he conceded. ‘I can feel your anger!’ And it fuelled him.
‘Next is the pair holding down Zekrom!’ Nate declared. The Team Break trainer in question looked concerned as Nate attacked again.
‘That’s enough.’
A new, commanding voice interjected, as yet another Pokemon appeared. The sleek, yet threatening form of Mewtwo landed between Ghetsis and Team Break, and N and Nate, pushing the latter two back. Mewtwo extended one arm, launching a hard blast of psychic power, taking Braviary down. Trying not to panic, Nate recalled his Pokemon before it could hit the ground, as N gawped at the newcomer.
‘Is… is that…?’ His voice trailed off, his eyes wide in horror when he recognised his father’s ally.
‘Stay out of my way,’ Giovanni warned, his voice a low snarl. He looked almost exactly as N remembered. He had not seen anything of Team Rocket himself, not even on the news; Ghetsis had done too good a job when Team Rocket were around, of keeping N secluded and ignorant of the outside world. But the boy had heard things from his sisters, and done his own research since escaping Team Plasma.
This Giovanni did not look too dissimilar to the man he had seen in photos. Perhaps a little older, his face slightly more lined. A few flecks of grey in an otherwise jet black head of hair. But the biggest difference, was the symbol emblazoned on the breast of his jacket. Not a red R, but multicoloured. Reds, yellows, greens and blues, one colour transforming into the other.
Rainbow Rocket Giovanni rolled up a sleeve. In doing so, he revealed not just the fact that his arm was so heavily tattooed that his skin colour could not be seen, but more importantly, the Mega Bracelet enclosed around his wrist.
‘Giovanni?’ N questioned, as the man in question approached, coming to a stop beside Mewtwo. ‘W-What are you doing here?’
The realisation that an already bad situation had just gotten worse caused N’s voice to crack. Which in turn made Ghetsis smirk. N was afraid. Good.
‘I just so happened to meet Ghetsis, while recruiting Team Break members,’ Giovanni explained. The apparently leaderless team had been like a gift for him. Already organised, already with their own Pokemon, all they needed was someone to take them under their wing. Someone to guide them.
And who better than Giovanni?
‘He told me all about his plans. And if he’s able to get his hands on your Zekrom, then that works out perfectly for me.’
In just getting him this far, this Ghetsis had already proven himself to be much more useful than the one he had already met and recruited into Rainbow Rocket. But, Giovanni was a smart man. He knew that the Rainbow Rocket Ghetsis had already tried to manipulate him, and was absolutely prepared for the current Ghetsis to try and do the same. Ghetsis no doubt had his own hidden agenda, but he was certainly not the only one.
‘Yes, so I should thank you for gathering these pawns, and sharing your information with me,’ Ghetsis smirked. ‘I’ll be sure to return the favour. Now, our preparations are complete! I will soon possess a legendary that combines two powers!’
‘No…!’ Nate gasped.
‘The fusion of Kyurem and Zekrom…’ N murmured, the memories of the exact same thing happening before flying through his mind.
‘Watch this moment closely!’ Ghetsis cried out, as he approached the trapped Zekrom, Giovanni keeping close behind him.
‘Zekrom!’ N called.
‘Ghetsis, don’t do it!’ Nate added. He knew too well that there was no way Ghetsis would listen, but without his Pokemon and badly outnumbered, there was not much else he could do.
‘Kyurem! Absorb Zekrom, use Absofusion!’ Ghetsis ordered, an unhinged, determined grin set upon his face.
‘Now’s my chance,’ Giovanni quietly said, watching the scene intently. He snapped his fingers. ‘Do it.’
Mewtwo reappeared, floating in the gap between the two other legendaries, facing Kyurem down.
‘What the -?’ Nate spluttered. N looked similarly taken aback.
‘They stopped them from fusing?’ he questioned, not entirely certain whether he believed what he was seeing.
‘What do you think you’re doing?’ Ghetsis spat, glowering at Giovanni. He slammed his cane on the ground again. ‘Giovanni!’
‘Well, you see… I too have a plan,’ Giovanni replied. ‘I know how you operate, Ghetsis. Perhaps a little too well, and the way I see it, once you have both of these legendaries under your command, your next move will be to secure more pawns to make use of. And as these Team Break members answer to me, I know that it’d be me you target next.’
Ghetsis remained silent, teeth bared. As Giovanni observed him, he could see that he had been completely right. Granted, it would not have been out of character for Ghetsis to lie, and claim he had nothing of the sort planned, but he surmised Ghetsis would only have done that if he were calmer. And the ex Plasma leader, as he was currently, looked apoplectic with rage.
Ghetsis’ raging, hateful silence was the only answer Giovanni required.
‘So, I intend to take Kyurem and Zekrom before that can happen!’
‘How cunning,’ Ghetsis hissed. ‘But it’s too little, too late.’
More masked members of Team Break appeared, again, on Ghetsis’ cue, standing beside him, as Giovanni’s eyes widened, just for a second.
‘What?’
‘You are not the only one who has a talent for convincing people to join you,’ Ghetsis gloated. ‘I am more than capable of that, too! A faction of Team Break is already under my command!’
Oh, shit. This was not what Giovanni had in mind. He knew exactly what Ghetsis was planning, yet the son of a bitch still out-witted him!
Despite his inner panic, the Rainbow Rocket leader’s expression continued to be a smug grin, as though it was all a game they were playing. He would be damned if he was going to let Ghetsis know that he was rattled.
‘I guess I underestimated you after all,’ he admitted. ‘In that case… Mewtwo, get them!’
‘Rise! We must defeat Giovanni!’ Ghetsis roared.
‘...So they’ve broken their alliance,’ N mused, as more Pokemon were sent out. With the attention mostly taken off Zekrom, N felt he could breathe a little more easily. ‘...I suppose they were never actually allies in the first place…
‘I want to help Zekrom, but there are way too many Pokemon over there…’ Nate fretted.
‘Go, Volcarona!’
Another new voice entered the fray, as a familiar Volcarona appeared over N’s head, striking the Team Break Pokemon. As they were knocked out, N and Nate spun around on their heels to see the former champion, Alder Castillo, striding forward. He was staring directly at Ghetsis, his expression set into a look of grim determination, with a young redhead behind him.
‘Alder! Silver!’ Nate greeted, a wave of relief washing through him to have some backup.
‘I had an unpleasant feeling that something bad would happen,’ Alder stated. The sensation of foreboding had been with him ever since he learnt Ghetsis was back. He knew that N had been ambivalent about forgiving him, and having a proper father and son relationship with the man again. And Alder did not want to completely squash his hopes of that happening. He had been direct with stating that he did not trust Ghetsis, but seeing the look of utter defeat in the young boy’s eyes, Alder had to wonder just what he had missed. That maybe he had not been severe enough. Perhaps he should have explicitly told N not to trust his despicable excuse for a “father”, even for the faintest fraction of a second. ‘I’m glad we made it in time. We took care of the Team Break members at the entrance, but reinforcements are on their way right now! We need to get out of here!’
Silver, the young redhead, was not paying any attention to Alder. Nor was he even paying any attention to Ghetsis. No, his gaze was firmly on Giovanni, and his expression was one of hatred.
‘Oh?’ Giovanni questioned, glancing over. He was uncertain how to react, so he kept the same usual smug demeanour. This boy was not his Silver, but was a Silver. And clearly things had gone the same way between him and his Giovanni, as they had in the Rainbow Rocket leader’s timeline.
‘I have more important things to worry about right now, than him,’ Silver declared, without giving one single fuck about the fact that his voice was loud enough for Giovanni to hear. Not that Giovanni seemed bothered. He was used to it from his own Silver. ‘Come on, hurry up!’
Now freed, N turned back to the rest of the group to see Zekrom land before him.
‘I’m so glad you’re okay…’ he murmured, relief sparkling in his eyes.
‘Let’s get out of here,’ Nate urged.
Sensing that the situation was no longer in their favour, the Team Break grunts who had followed Ghetsis began to retreat, much to his annoyance.
‘Tch… Worthless fools,’ he growled.
‘Now that a former champion has arrived, I suppose I have no choice but to give up on Zekrom,’ Giovanni decided. For now. ‘Kyurem, on the other hand, will be mine.’
‘I warned you before…’ Ghetsis started, his voice dripping with rage, before suddenly ramping up to a scream, ‘NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE ME!’
The cane struck the ground, as Kyurem roared. Alder winced at the noise, but Giovanni seemed unbothered. A snap of his fingers later, and he was gone, along with Mewtwo. Alder glanced back, seeing N approach, and noticed how the boy looked mentally exhausted. It was no surprise, Alder guessed that N must felt like he had been put through the wringer.
Because he had been. He was about to speak up, to try and reach out to N, when Nate interrupted with another insistence that they should leave. He was right, the less time they spent in the cave, the better. Giovanni might have been gone, but there was still Ghetsis to contend with.
N stopped before he reached Alder and Nate. And, without breathing a word, he turned his back, and strode over to his father.
‘...What?’ Ghetsis questioned, a look of annoyed confusion on his face. N refused to clarify, but stayed by his side.
‘What are you doing? Just leave him!’ Silver irritably told N.
‘Yes, what are you doing?’ Ghetsis agreed, clearly as baffled as his son’s friends.
‘...I want to save Kyurem, regardless of whose Pokemon it is. Even if that means I have to help you...’ N finally answered, without looking at any of them. Part of him had to wonder what the hell he was doing, siding up with Ghetsis, after how Ghetsis had betrayed him, insulted him, and openly laughed about it. He told himself that he was not doing this for Ghetsis’ sake, or even his own.
This was for Kyurem.
‘...I won’t call you my father, Ghetsis.’ That was fine with the Plasma leader. His skin always crawled when that word left N’s mouth. Disgusting. N turned and looked at him. ‘But if you co-operate, I’ll help you get out of this!’
‘I see. Very well. That’s convenient for me,’ Ghetsis replied. No “thank you”, but of course not. N had never gotten a “please” or a “thank you” from Ghetsis in his life, and he definitely did not expect that to change now. ‘Let’s take him down, N!’
‘N and Ghetsis, standing side by side…’ Nate muttered. The idea left him unsettled. It was wrong. He brought the Pokeball with his unconscious Braviary in it up to his mouth, whispering to it, as he used a revive. ‘Just a little longer, we need to help N…’
‘Hey!’ Silver called out, as Nate and Braviary took off.
‘It’s too late to stop them. Let’s just make sure that they have a safe escape route,’ Alder told the redhead.
‘The plan is to hold off Mewtwo until he can’t come after you any more, alright?’ N told his father.
‘Yes,’ Ghetsis crisply agreed.
‘Well, why don’t we put it to the test?’ Giovanni questioned, as he was joined by his own Team Break grunts again, now they had recovered from the previous fight. ‘Let’s see what your little father-son team up can do!’
Nate’s Braviary, and the two other legendaries opposing Giovanni started the battle, fighting ferociously against the Rainbow Rocket leader and his underlings. It was not long until it was just the legendaries against each other, and with Mewtwo outnumbered, it was Giovanni’s team that fell.
‘...Hmph, I suppose that does surpass my expectations,’ he reluctantly confessed.
‘After him!’ Ghetsis then commanded.
‘No! You remember what I said earlier, don’t you?! We’re getting out of here!’ N countered.
‘What?’ Ghetsis hissed, angry that N spoke back to him. But he could see that this time, N was not going to be moved. ‘Fine.’
‘Too bad,’ Giovanni said to himself, as the others left. ‘This would have been so much easier had you stayed here...’ He glanced to the cave exit. ‘Go after them.’
‘Hey!’
Giovanni had assumed that it was just him, Mewtwo, and his underlings left. That the others had all left with Ghetsis and N. So he was surprised when he saw himself suddenly face to face with his son.
‘That’s enough. Your plan failed,’ Silver glared. ‘Let them go, or else!’
To Giovanni’s surprise, the Pokemon that Silver released was none other than Ho-Oh.
When did Silver obtain a legendary of his own? Giovanni thought, as Ho-Oh flapped its wings and released a loud cry.
‘...Change of plans,’ Giovanni decided, recalling Mewtwo. ‘We’re leaving.’
His decision confused his underlings, who had been readying themselves for another fight.
‘B-But sir…?’ one hesitantly questioned.
‘The more people you command, the harder it is to control them. I think learning that much is enough for today,’ Giovanni replied. He tilted his head, glancing to the side at Silver. ‘Besides… I’m very pleased by what I’ve seen today.’
Silver pulled a face, and blinked. Was Giovanni complimenting him? For standing up to him? Obtaining Ho-Oh? But once the shock quickly wore off, his expression turned back to angry. He was not going to be taken in, be swayed by Giovanni’s words! This man had no idea who Silver was, if he thought a few pretty words could appease him.
It was probably a lie, anyway.
Silver headed outside the cave again, where the rest of the group - unfortunately, still including Ghetsis - were waiting for him.
‘I think they’ve stopped coming after us now,’ Silver declared, without offering any explanation as to why he had stayed behind. None of them needed to know about him challenging Giovanni. Or what Giovanni had said to him.
‘I see. In that case…’ Alder pointedly looked back at Ghetsis.
‘You want to come after me, now? I can’t allow that to happen,’ he warned. ‘Perhaps we can come to a truce for today. What do you think, N?’
‘...I know that you haven’t changed, at all,’ N said, and Alder was relieved. He had been concerned that siding with Ghetsis to protect him might have caused N to start reconsidering, again. He wanted nothing more than for N to have a father he could be happy with, but as long as his father was Ghetsis, that was just not possible. ‘If you do anything to harm the people or Pokemon here, I will be the first in line to stop you!’
‘I’ll keep that in mind,’ Ghetsis replied, tone thick with sarcasm. Clearly he did not believe N to be a big enough threat to him. ‘Then, farewell.’
‘Wait, Ghetsis!’ Nate then called. Ghetsis paused, not turning back around to face them, but instead peered over his shoulder, to see what Nate wanted. ‘I hate you. I’ll never forget what you did in Unova! But you’re still N’s father! You raised him, and spent all those years together!’
Ghetsis had no idea where Nate was going with his tangent, and neither did N. N’s childhood had been spent cooped up inside one room. A very spacious room, admittedly, but still locked away from the rest of the world, and fed only whatever information Ghetsis deemed worthy of him knowing. As much as N longed for change, he was no longer blind to the horrendous circumstances that stole his childhood.
So why was Nate bringing it up?
‘Are you really going to say you felt nothing when the two of you were fighting side by side?!’ Nate demanded. ‘It’s not too late to change your ways! Please, at least think about it!’
Oh. N braced himself. He was certain that Ghetsis was going to scoff, laugh hysterically at such a ridiculous notion, and he knew it was going to hurt.
‘Nate…’ N began.
‘Ghetsis!’ Nate repeated, when he got no reply. And N’s heart sunk to his stomach, when sure enough, Ghetsis began to chuckle. At last, he turned back properly to face them, and erupted with laughter.
‘You naive fool! Our relationship is nothing more than that between a master and his tools! What happened here changes nothing!’ he barked, before turning his evil scarlet gaze onto N. ‘As long as I can keep using you, I don’t care what you call our relationship! I do whatever I please! I am not your ally, not your friend, and I am certainly not your father!’
In unison, N and Nate both tugged on the brims of their headwear. Nate in embarrassment, and upset for N, and N to try and cover his face. He was attempting to be as expressionless as he could, but the hurt shone in his eyes.
‘How dare you -!’ Silver began, readying to go into a full force rant.
‘Despicable,’ Alder quickly interjected, unwilling to let the youngster draw too much of Ghetsis’ attention. ‘You’re the one without a heart!’
‘If that’s all,’ Ghetsis sneered, their anger and words bouncing off him. With another - but more sardonic - farewell, Ghetsis was whisked away by Kyurem, leaving them free of him at last.
‘I had a bad feeling this might happen,’ Alder sighed. ‘N, my apologies. I think I should have stopped you before you went to help him.’
‘Don’t apologise,’ N said, to Alder and Nate. ‘It was my decision. Please, don’t be sad on my behalf.’
‘...Nate, are you crying again?’ Silver questioned. He looked embarrassed.
‘You truly have a kind heart,’ N gently told Nate, ‘one that resonates with others. You got angry for the people of Unova, you yelled at Ghetsis for me… and now, you’re even crying for me...’
‘I can’t help it! It’s just all so messed up!’ Nate wept. ‘You’re not asking for anything special! You just want a normal relationship with the man you call your father! It’s not asking for much! Why can’t you have that too?!’
‘Nate… It’s okay.’ It was a lie, but a lie told for N’s own sake as well as Nate’s. Right now, he felt like being strong for his friend distracted him from his own pain. ‘I may not have a father, but I have good friends like you.’
‘N…’ Nate sniffled.
‘Yeah, you can survive without a father,’ Silver chimed in, and N nodded in agreement.
I’m blessed to be surrounded by such kind people and Pokemon. That’s enough for me. I suppose… a father figure was just never meant to be.
...But it was nice to hope for it.

It All Began with a Big Crash
(AO3)
Summary: It's the one year anniversary of Boyfriend and Girlfriend's growing relationship, and Boyfriend absolutely, totally, DID NOT forget that today is that special day. And yet, that one single DID NOT FORGETTing leads to a domino effect, resulting in quite possibly one of the best nights of their lives.
After all, what's the point of a performance if no one's having fun during it?
Word Count: 7154
(A/N: Happy 1st Anniversary of Friday Night Funkin’! I literally wrote and edited this all in one day. Got home at midnight, started writing, and then I posted it at 10 am, took a nap, went to work, AND NOW I’M HERE ON TUMBLR :D Anyway, FNF has been a big comfort for me these past months, so it’s only fitting that I put myself through hell to get this little bit out. I hope you all enjoy!)
\\\\
Now, Boyfriend isn't a forgetful man. This thought crosses his mind as he stands up abruptly after paying for his lunch and racing for the door.
"Be-!"
"Eep!"
CRASH .
But sometimes things... slip from his mind, and while he's not one prone to panic, THIS is something worth panicking over.
"-EP. SHIT. SORRY!"
"My dishes!" A blonde server kneels on the ground, surrounded by the clumsy carnage created by Boyfriend inadvertently crashing into her on his rush out. She glares accusingly at him as the boy jogs in place. "Again, really?!"
"Sorry, sorry!" He waves his hands in front of him before looking over his shoulder. "I'll pay for the dishes and shit uh, later!" He dashes out the door as she calls out behind him.
"That's what you said LAST time!"
Well, last time he was dirt poor, but now that he's pretty famous around town, he's actually got the moolah to pay for damages! So yeah, next time!
...Is what he meant to tell her, but he's already busting into the conveniently placed flower shop, panting as he looks around wildly for help. The florist in question glances at him completely unbothered by his entrance.
"Forgot an important date again?" she quips, staring back down at her phone as she drapes herself over the counter.
"BAP!" he says defensively, because he DIDN'T forget! It just... slipped his mind a little. In his defense, he'd gotten so used to being with Girlfriend that it felt ... normal! Like they've been together for YEARS and being with her just felt so right, and every day was the greatest day of his life because he had her by his side. So yeah, maybe the days slipped past him in a blissful sort of way, like when he gets super focused on his music or some arbitrary task, and the hours slip by and suddenly it's the next morning! It's kind of like that, but with a girl who makes him smile and laugh and forget that life is supposed to be difficult and hard, and not fun and invigorating. And to think they've only been together for a year...
...A year.
...Wait.
Shit.
SHIT.
He's doing it again!
He bustles over and slaps a fifty on the counter. "Bop!" he announces in a rush, tapping his fingers impatiently as the florist holds it up to the light.
With a low whistle, she puts it back on the table. "Wow, you're really going all out this time, huh?" Before Boyfriend can respond to her sarcasm, the florist calls out to her partner in the back. "Flower! Miku's lil bro is back at it again, dropping a fifty and hoping for the best."
"Again?" A husky voice makes its way over as a familiar bush of thick hair pops out from beyond the doorway. "Boyfriend, you should know by now that apology bouquets are at least a hundred."
"Ba- skida- AUGH! It's not an apology bouquet!" He stomps his foot, irritated to break out the English but knowing full well it’s a matter that needs clear communication. So not really a waste of words, just a waste of energy on two ladies who will give him shit regardless of the noise he makes.
"Oh yeah? What's the occasion?" The taller florist - Lily, hilariously enough - leans forward with a smirk as Flower keeps her deadpan stare.
"It's for my anniversary!" He crosses his arms and harrumphs as Lily whistles again.
"Damn, and you didn't invite us to the wedding? Harsh."
"No, not that-! Ugh, you know what I mean."
"Do we?" Lily and Flower exchange a look before Lily's smirk widens. "I dunno, you don't give us the dirt anymore. Remember when you'd come in here all the time, red in the face trying to get apology bouquets for that one boy? What's his name-"
"Pico," he answers, a bit flustered as the memories rush through his mind before shaking his head, "and he liked them all, by the way! But this isn't about him-"
"No, it's about your new girl, right?" Flower cuts in, leaning against the doorway with a bored expression. "What's her favorite color? It's not green, is it?"
"It's red, and please can you make it quick? I dunno when she wants us to meet up, so...!" He flashes them two thumbs up and is about to bounce, but Lily grabs the collar of his shirt with a chuckle.
"Not so fast, dumbass." She pulls him back to the counter as he whines pathetically. "You really think a fifty is enough for an anniversary bouquet?"
Oh no. He starts to sweat, feeling his wallet tremble in fear. They're doing it again. "What do you mean?"
"What do I mean, Flower?" Lily turns back to the shorter florist as the other makes a thoughtful hum.
"One hundred, at least."
"Yeah, at least one hundo." Lily holds her hand out. "C'mon, cough it up, shorty."
This is beyond unreal, but at the same time, it is completely expected from people who teased him relentlessly since he was a kid. "If it wasn't for Miku, you guys wouldn't even be here!"
"We're only here because of convenience, please." Lily snorts as the boy continues to struggle. "So you aiming for an apology bouquet or an anniversary bouquet?"
"Just cut me a deal, please? For old time's sake?" He clasps his hands together and bats his eyelashes. "I'm still that cute little kid who used to pretend to be like Miku! Who could forget good ol' Mikuo?"
"One hundred." Flower cuts off the potential reminiscing and steps up to the counter. "Or it's an apology bouquet."
Grumbling miserably, Boyfriend digs around in his pocket and manages to snag something. He pulls out his hand and counts out four quarters. Quietly, he puts it on top of the fifty.
Flower and Lily both look at it silently.
"...Well," Flower begins, slowly taking the money, "I did say one hundred."
Roll with it roll with it roll with it-
"Yeah, and uh, four twenty-fives makes one hundred, right?"
"What, are we speaking French now?" Lily asks with a sneer.
"No," Boyfriend begins, blinking slowly, "pretty sure we're speaking English."
"Oh my god." She slaps her hand over Flower's. "We are not doing this."
"I gave you one hundred," he argues, sweating miserably as he turns up the confidence.
"He did give us one hundred," Flower agrees.
"You are not giving this to him. You know he didn't even plan this! He's too stupid to pull a slick move like that!"
Boyfriend just smiles and gives them a double thumbs up.
"It's not like anyone else is gonna be coming in to give us another job." Flower hums and stows the money in the register, much to Lily's chagrin. "And besides, if I get bored making it, I'll just take a nap."
"Flower-!" Before Lily can protest even more, Flower disappears into the backroom, no doubt to either work on the bouquet or take that nap. Lily turns back to Boyfriend and glares, jabbing a finger against his chest. "Be back here in a few hours. You're taking whatever the hell she makes for you, stingy little bitch."
"That's all I have on my person!"
"We accept credit and debit."
"I have bills to pay."
"You're such a little-!" Lily makes a strangling gesture with her hands before grabbing and shaking him. "You better give this girl a helluva anniversary."
"I'm trying!" He backs up and shoots the tall florist finger guns before vacating the premises. Okay, one thing down. Next: chocolates. Easy-peasy. What place sells heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and other cutesy, anniversary items?
Boyfriend makes a beeline for the local grocery store and spends only a total of thirty minutes there, making the proud purchase of a box of chocolates, a little teddy bear holding a heart, and even a balloon that says, "I Love You". Score! Damn, he's doing great so far. And it was such a quick purchase! Maybe Miku's friends could learn a thing or two about making quick sales instead of harassing him over every little thing.
What's next, what's next...
A place for dinner, right! Girlfriend loves the local bar. Great food, a nice atmosphere, open mic nights, a server who's familiar with them...
A server that he crashed into and made her drop all those dishes to the floor... like that other time he did it to her and held up the service for a sizable amount of time...
He gulps. Hm. She's probably still mad at him too. But uh, huh. He's not sure what to do. Maybe, maybe...
He takes out his phone and dials a familiar number. It rings only twice before a gruff, annoyed voice answers on the other side.
"I'm busy, the fuck you want?"
Without missing a beat, he gets on his metaphorical hands and knees. "Pico, can I ask a favor, please please pretty please?"
"Wow, English. Must be desperate." There's a loud crash on his end before Pico's voice yells at a pair of playful, young laughter. "Hey- hey! Watch it!"
"Pico, so uh, could you-?"
"Hey- give me that!" More raucous laughter fills the line as Pico sighs. "Sorry, Bee, don't think I can help ya today. I was supposed to just watch these two kids 'til Lila came back, but then I got a call from a pal who needs help at her joint and- Skid, Jesus fucking Christ -" There's some shuffling and a grunt as a playful squeal rings a little too close to the phone. Pico continues as though nothing happened on his end. "-and so basically I'm double booked for the night."
"Oh, okay." He tries not to let the disappointment seep into his voice, but another sigh from Pico suggests that he heard it regardless.
"Look, I'm real sorry, wish I could help, but a line's formin' and I can only do so much." Pico grunts and a soft thump is heard. Two voices chatter away distantly in the background, but Boyfriend focuses solely on Pico. "Why? What happened?"
"Well, today's me and Girlfriend's anniversary, and I wanted to take her out but-"
"Can't figure out a place to take her? C'mon man, you- Jesus, you two, slow down, I'm comin'- you already know one."
"Yeah, the bar but-"
"What, ya worried about 'bout lines or somethin'? I know it's busy and shit, but I'm sure Serv will get ya guys' a table easy. It's just you two, you'll be fine."
"Okay, but-"
"Oh my GOD, what the HELL is THAT?!"
A faint, childish voice answers Pico's horrified question as Boyfriend listens in. "That's Moloch!"
"...MOLOCH?"
A roar sounds from Pico's side of the phone call. The voice - uh, Skid, was it? - laughs excitedly. "Yeah! He's our friend!"
"He lives in Skid's attic!"
A demonic voice nearly blows out Boyfriend's eardrums. "GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
"...Does your MOM know about this?!"
"Sorta! She thinks he's a rat."
"Hey hey HEY, back OFF-! Sorry, Bee, I'll call ya later!"
The last thing he hears is another roar before the line hangs up. Pico will probably be fine - he's handled worse after all, and even Boyfriend's faced off a demon or two! Maybe three, if that Lemon Man those two kids were friends with counted as well. Man, demons are just everywhere, huh?
...Speaking of demons. There’s one demon he really should be focusing on. Like getting their dinner date set up at her favorite bar in town. Even though he’s probably on that bar’s shitlist for knocking over their number one employee again .
But Girlfriend really does love going to that bar, and if it's for her... Fuck it, he'll suck it up and take whatever Server-chan's got against him. He'll just challenge her to a quick rap battle, win, and THEN they can have a nice dinner! Yeah, that's what he'll do. Lily's words replay in his mind as he walks off to his apartment to change into something nicer.
"You better give this girl a helluva anniversary."
Fuck yeah he will.
"Damn, after all these years, you still can't tie a tie." Lily frets over his outfit as she helps him tidy up a bit. A colorful ribbon now decorates the box of chocolates, tying it together with the teddy bear with the balloon also tied around its wrist. He grabs the tied together present after she rolls his sleeves up to his elbow.
"Bouquet?" he asks hopefully as Lily dusts off his shoulders for the hundredth time.
She huffs and shakes her head, blowing a stray hair out of her face. "You're lucky Flower didn't take a nap halfway through. It's her best work so far! All for the low, low cost of $51, tax not included."
"There's tax?!" He almost falls over, but Lily grabs him by the collar of his dress shirt.
"Chill out, we'll charge it to Miku's account."
"Oh, thanks." He swats away her hands when she tries to tuck in the other half of his shirt. "Fuck off, it's part of my style!"
"What, being sloppy?"
"The ladies love it."
"Your lady deserves better."
"But I'm the best there is!"
"Oh, God," Lily groans as her expression falls into despair. "Egotism really does run in the family."
"Enough about the family ego," Flower pipes up, her hands full with a large, beautiful bouquet. "These flowers need to be appreciated."
"Holy shit." Boyfriend takes the entire bouquet, admiring the reds, pinks, and whites. There's a smattering of small, lavender flowers here and there, making the other colors pop. "Roses!" he points out, the only flower he recognizes.
"Yup, and there's also lilies, alstroemeria, and-"
"Don't waste your breath," Lily cuts in, covering Flower's mouth before she can list them all out. "He won't remember any of the names."
A disappointed sigh escapes Flower, so he gives her the biggest grin he can muster. "Yo, I still think it's hella bomb to look at. I really think she'll love it!"
Flower perks up a bit, a small smile forming on her usually stoic face. "...Cool."
"Alright, get outta here." Lily shoves him back to the door with a grin. "You got a hot date, yeah? Go give her the night of her life!"
"Yeah!" He waves to the pair before leaving. "Gonna have a great night at the bar!"
Lily's smile falters as Flower's smile immediately disappears. "...The what?"
"See ya!"
"Wait, Boyfriend! You're taking her out to the fucking BAR?!"
He doesn't have the time to turn back and answer Lily, so he goes along his merry way, bouquet clutched tightly against his chest with the bear. Hopefully the incident from earlier today has been swept away. He really doesn't want to have a rap battle with Server-chan, but if he has to...
"Boyfriend!" A sweet, melodic voice pulls him from his thoughts as he looks over to see his beautiful, wonderful Girlfriend. Her iconic look now sports a sleek, black jacket reminiscent of her mother's own jacket. It looks stunning on her, and a soft, longing "beep" escapes him as she giggles and kisses his cheek. "Hey, hun. Happy anniversary!"
"Happy anniversary!" He holds out his gifts for her to take, and he delights in her unabashed joy as she takes them.
"Oh! This teddy bear is so cute, and these flowers are lovely!" Another giggle escapes her as she points at the bouquet. "Roses!"
"That's what I said!" They both share a laugh before her smile settles into something soft and relaxed.
"Now I wish I got you something too..." Girlfriend pouts a bit, but he kisses it away with a grin.
"Hey, don't sweat it! Lemme spoil you for the night instead." He offers her his arm, and she happily loops hers with his. They walk into the bar together and are met with a familiar face standing behind a podium. Despite being the hostess, Cassette Girl keeps her iconic cap on as she notices them and greets them with a lazy smile.
"Wooow," she drawls out, giving Boyfriend a knowing grin. "Back again so soon? And after that huge fuss you made."
"Fuss?" Girlfriend gives Boyfriend a curious look.
"Uhh, beep bah."
"Didn't tell her about your mishap, huh?" Cassette Girl raises an eyebrow and shakes her head. "Well, if you wanted to know, Serv got it figured out. Called in a favor last minute, and luckily he was nice enough to help out."
"Sorry about that," he says sheepishly, and Cassette Girl merely shrugs.
"It's whatever. Not the first time you messed her up real good. And besides, you're not even the first person to make her crash and burn for a hot minute."
"Is this still about the fuss you guys are talking about?" Girlfriend looks between the two as Cassette Girl chuckles.
"Yeah, but don't worry about it. Lemme take ya to your seats. Bar or nah?"
"Nah, it's our anniversary date today!"
"And you guys are spending it here?” She pauses for a second in thought before shaking her head. “Alright." Cassette Girl takes it in stride and seats them near the miniature stage.
"Oh, is it open mic night tonight?" Girlfriend sits down, already excited for the night as Cassette Girl chuckles and hands them the menus.
"Nah, originally we had a band booked tonight, but their back-up vocalist got injured, so they called it off last minute. It's gonna be a quiet night instead."
"Aww." The pout on Girlfriend's face lasts only a second before her smile returns. "Oh well! Sometimes quiet is nice too."
"Right you are. Anyway, your waiter will be with you guys in just a sec, so take your time. We're not too busy tonight, so feel free to cause more havoc." She flashes a grin before walking back to her station.
Girlfriend waves goodbye and turns back to Boyfriend with a smile. "Cassey is so nice! I wish we could talk to her more."
"Maybe we'll catch her on the street one of these days." He cracks open the menu, perusing the contents before deciding on getting his usual.
"Maybe! Should I try something new tonight?"
"Wouldn't hurt."
"But I don't know what to get..."
"Maybe we can ask the waiter?" He looks around for their supposed waiter, but all he sees is an unimpressed Pico standing at their table. "Oh! Pico! You're dressed like a waiter!"
True to his observations, Pico is dressed similarly to Server-chan; a black long sleeved shirt replaces his usual green sweater, and a pair of black slacks replaces his usual beige cargo pants. The only splash of color on his outfit is the bright orange apron that all servers seem to wear as per uniform, and it absolutely clashes with Pico's own bright, red hair.
"That's because I am the waiter, dumbass." The bite from his remark is lost from the tired slump of his shoulders, and the ginger begins to resemble Server-chan with each passing second. "At least for tonight. She called me in for a favor, and I agreed to help."
The conversation from earlier today pings in Boyfriend's memory. "Is this what you meant when you said you were double booked?"
"Yeah. Told me some blue-haired douchebag steamrolled her on his way out, and she ended up breaking a whole buncha dishes. She went out to go replace the whole set, so I'm coverin' for the rest of her shift while she takes care of it. Now that I think about it," Pico fixes him with a stern, knowing glare as Boyfriend shrinks under his sharp eyes, "I kinda already know about a certain blue-haired douchebag."
"I'll pay her back, I promise."
"You fuckin' better." Pico looks over to Girlfriend and offers her a tired grin when she waves cheerfully. "Hey, Red, he treatin' ya well tonight?"
"Yup! He got me chocolates, a bear, a balloon, AND a bouquet!"
"Really spoilin' ya there."
"Only the best for Gigi, right?" He nudges Pico playfully, the earlier irritation already melting away from his expression as he rolls his eyes and ruffles Boyfriend's hair.
"Yeah yeah. Ya guys ready to order?"
Pico takes their orders and departs quickly, the couple watching him disappear somewhere in the bar as their collective thoughts gather on one thing only.
"Mm, Pico should wear uniforms more often, huh?"
"It definitely looks flattering on him." They both hum before taking sips from the water Pico had set down earlier while taking their orders. With no ginger to distract them, Girlfriend's attention centers back on Boyfriend as she smiles. "Thanks for taking me out here for dinner! I know it's not easy for us to go out on dates since my parents still hover, so I'm really happy that we went out like you planned!"
"Oh yeah, totally." His easy grin hides the absolute panic he had for the entire half of his day when he realized he had nothing planned. "I wish I could treat you out for something better, but nothing else is really happening around this time of year-"
"Except for Spooky Month!" Two voices pipe up out of nowhere as the costumed duo surprise the couple.
"Oh, goodness, hello!" She laughs as Skid and, uh, Pump? Stand by their table looking curious. "How have you two been?"
"Okay! Mr. Pico has been babysitting us since Mom's been busy with her work stuff." Skid bounces on his heels as Pump looks up more calmly. "We wanted to introduce him to Moloch, but..."
"He didn't like him too much. He said Moloch is more scary than spooky." Pump sticks his tongue out and laughs. "Silly Mr. Pico! He does not understand that Moloch is our friend!"
"Moloch?" Girlfriend hums as bobs her head in thought. "That name sounds familiar. There was a demon that went missing months ago by that name..."
"Oh, weird!"
"Moloch came to us months ago too! But now he stays in Skid's attic."
"It's like a sleepover every day!"
"That sounds like fun!" She giggles as the kids bounce around her.
Boyfriend watches with a smile before remembering that “double booked” thing that Pico mentioned earlier. Were these the kids he was watching when Boyfriend called…? "So why are you guys here? If Pico is supposed to be babysitting you guys, but is working here instead..." Boyfriend wonders how Pico manages to balance so many jobs at once. He himself can barely handle the one!
"Mr. Pico said that he didn't trust Moloch and wanted us to stay somewhere safer."
"Which is weird, because Moloch is our friend! But it made him happier, so we came here with him."
"It's boring here, so Pump and I have been teaching lots of people how to spooky dance!"
"Oh?" Girlfriend indulges them and smiles as they crowd closer to her. "Can you show me too?"
"You don't know the spooky dance?"
"We should show her!"
"It goes like this!" The pair of children do a little dance for her, and a happy laugh escapes her as she watches. Boyfriend leans back and enjoys her happiness as the kids continue to chat with her.
"That looks like fun!"
"You can do it too!" Skid tugs on her hands, and it's enough to get her to stand up. "Just hold out your hands like this-"
"-and then you move like this!" The two of them demonstrate one more time before looking at Girlfriend expectantly. It takes her a few times, but the kids are surprisingly patient and more than happy to show her as many times as she requests until she gets it right. The sight of her having so much fun melts his heart, and he sighs as he watches her enjoy herself.
"Damn, look at you, meltin' into the table."
Boyfriend nearly slams his face against the table, making Pico guffaw as he puts their meals on the table. "Dude!"
"What? Just spittin' facts. Hey!" Pico's hands come to rest on his hips as he glares at the kids. Both Girlfriend and Boyfriend exchange a look, hiding their amused grins behind their hands as Pico takes on his caretaking role. "Skid, Pump, what did I say 'bout botherin' the customers?"
"Uhh..." The two kids freeze in place, looking at each other before looking at Pico. "Don't?"
"And what are you two doin'?"
"Bothering your friends!" Pump grins as Skid nods in agreement. "They are not customers, right?"
A puff of a laugh escapes Girlfriend as Boyfriend nudges Pico. "Yeah dude, we're your friends, not customers. We should get a de-"
A glare is enough to silence Boyfriend, but Girlfriend's composure quickly falls apart as a fit of giggles escapes her. Pico ignores her as he focuses his attention on his two charges. "They're still customers."
"But it's boring here!"
"Yeah, it's too quiet. You said there'd be music!"
"But there's no music, except for the soft elevator music."
"But that's boring too."
Both boys pout as Pico sighs and massages his temples. "Look, I didn't know the band would cancel today. After I'm done here, we can do something fun , okay?"
"Like getting candy?"
"Yeah, like gettin' candy." The two kids cheer and run off somewhere before Pico can stop them. "Hey-!"
"Damn, Pico, I didn't think you'd be good with kids." Boyfriend snickers as he eats a fry, watching as Pico sighs for the umpteenth time.
"You call that bein' good with kids?"
"It's better than I'd ever expect outta you."
"Rude little bitch." Pico snatches a few fries and chomps on them, ignoring Boyfriend's protests.
"When do you get off, Pico?" Girlfriend spins her fork around in her pasta before feeding the first bite to Boyfriend, keeping her eyes on Pico as the ginger hums thoughtfully.
"Technically nine, but I gotta watch the kids 'til ten. That's when Lila comes back from her shit."
"Do you wanna come over for movie night?" She looks over to Boyfriend who nods in agreement. Pico laughs and shakes his head.
"Ain't this supposed to be ya guys' anniversary date? Why the hell am I bein' invited?"
"'Cause it's more fun when you join us!" Boyfriend pipes up, making his eyes go wide with hope, knowing how much of a sucker Pico is for his puppy dog eyes. Like he predicts, Pico grumbles and looks away, a slight blush to his cheeks as he tries to regain his composure.
"Touchin', but nah. It's y'all's day. It's not my place to interrupt."
"You wouldn't be-!" A ringtone goes off in the middle of her sentence. Girlfriend pauses, taking her phone out as her smile vanishes. "Oh, just a minute." She leaves the table quickly as she answers her phone with a faint, "Hi, Daddy..."
"Hm." They watch her go outside before Pico turns back to Boyfriend. "I hope you have somethin' really good planned for tonight."
"Well, I don't have anything planned, per se-"
"Oh for fuck's sake-"
"But! Movie night is gonna be a thing! Or, was." Boyfriend frowns, not liking how it was her dad who called her. Knowing him, he could be asking her to come home earlier than planned, ruining their romantic movie night. "I was gonna play it by ear, y'know, in case something like that happens."
"Fair." Pico crosses his arms and fixes Boyfriend with a stare. "So how are you gonna save this night then?"
"Dunno yet." Boyfriend bites his lip and scratches at the table. "Like I said, I don't have much planned, so like..." His eyes wander over to the stage. A keyboard is the only instrument present on the stage alongside the stereos. He blinks slowly at the sight of it, a hum low in his throat.
"What? Ya suddenly got an idea?" Pico follows his gaze and whistles low. "Gonna sing a love song?"
"What? No." A pause. "Maybe. I dunno."
"You dunno?"
"I don't really have a song lined up." But it would be perfect. She loves it when he sings. Or raps. Or does anything really. And she did seem a little disappointed when she found out that there wasn't going to be a show tonight...
"You're a rapper," Pico supplies easily. "Just freestyle."
"But I don't have any beats." Which is true, unless he gets some help. His eyes wander up to meet Pico's gaze. "...Can I ask a favor?"
"Shoot."
"You still beatbox?"
And Pico smirks. "Only if ya got a plan."
Boyfriend looks around the bar, his eyes landing on the Spooky Boys and Cassette Girl. Music flows behind his eyes as he maps out the beats and flows on the spot. Fingers tap out the rhythm he wants to follow, and Pico taps his foot in tandem. "I think," he says, watching as Girlfriend comes back into the bar with a gloomy look on her face, "I've got a plan."
Pico leans forward, and Boyfriend quickly whispers it to him before shooing the ginger away. When Girlfriend takes her seat, Boyfriend takes it upon himself to buy some time for Pico as he keeps Girlfriend's attention on him.
"Something up?"
"Oh, it's just Daddy." Her frown deepens, and Boyfriend can feel his heart drop from the sight. She shouldn't be unhappy on their anniversary - of course her dad would ruin things for her. "He wants me to come home early, says he doesn't want me to stay over too late since he doesn't trust you to keep your hands to yourself."
"Tch. Your old man needs to lay off." From the corner of his eye, he sees Cassette Girl wander to some backroom, only to reappear with a few more coworkers as one of them takes over her position by the podium. Pico follows her next, helping her set up a couple of mics as she tests out the keyboard. The noises catch the attention of the patrons, including Girlfriend as she turns in interest at the ruckus.
"What's going on? Oh, is there a show happening after all?" A small smile forms on her lips as she watches the prep. "I wonder who they managed to get!"
"Yeah, I wonder." Boyfriend lets her watch them for a second longer before taking her attention again. "So how long can you stay out?"
"Mmm, at most, maybe an hour? Daddy's imps will come and pick me up, regardless of where I am." She puffs her cheeks out, which would normally be cute if she wasn't so distressed. "Mommy was okay with me spending the night! But Daddy won't even let me stay before midnight, so that ruins movie night..."
"Hey, don't worry about it. We can always have movie night whenever." He reaches over and takes her hand, giving it a firm, comforting squeeze.
"But today was supposed to be our day." She frowns again, holding onto his hand as she sighs softly. "We were supposed to have a nice night doing whatever we wanted. And now that's going to be ruined because my dad is being... himself again."
Random beats start playing. It takes them both by surprise as they turn around to see Pico messing with... some kind of pad? Is that a launchpad? Cassette Girl shakes her head and points to some buttons before Pico nods and- ah. So he didn't steal it from someone. Clearly, it was Cassette Girl's own device.
"What are they doing?" Girlfriend watches with more interest as the two kids clamber onto the stage, Pico talking to them softly as they nod along to whatever he's saying excitedly. He wags his finger like a metronome, and the boys both follow its movement before nodding furiously as he grins and pats the tops of their heads. As Pico looks up from the boys, he meets Boyfriend's gaze and gives a small nod before standing up.
"They're getting a show ready for you." Boyfriend grins when Girlfriend looks over to him bewildered.
"What do you mean, for me?"
"Heeeellloooo, everyone!" Cassette Girl speaks into the microphone with her familiar drawl, getting the patrons to quiet down as they watch with rapt attention. "Now, as you know, our booked gig for tonight ended up cancelling, but at the very last minute, we managed to snag another performer instead! You may be familiar with his bright blue hair and obnoxious voice," a rumble of laughter rolls through the crowd, but he takes it all in stride as he waits for the intro to end, "but he's gotten pretty famous throughout these parts for his amazing freestyle rap! Dedicated to his lovely Girlfriend of one year, we have Mr. Boyfriend, here to perform for one night only!"
"Boyfriend?!" Girlfriend's eyes widen in excitement as he stands from his seat, grinning confidently as he winks to her. It's not often he gets to perform for the sake of performing, so he wants to make this the best performance she's ever seen.
"You better give this girl a helluva anniversary."
As if he wasn't.
He takes the offered microphone from Cassette Girl as she takes her place behind the keyboard.
"Heya, folks!" He waves out to the crowd as the people who recognize him from his many rap battles cheer him on. Girlfriend cheers from the crowd, for once enjoying the show as just a normal person, instead of being in the thick of it. "Like Cassey said, this show is dedicated to my Girlfriend. I started this whole career for her, and if it weren't for her, I never would have found this flow in my life. I love her more than any song can convey, so I hope a show's worth of songs can get the message along. Now are you ready to get funkin' lit?!"
The crowd erupts into cheers as Girlfriend stands and cheers the loudest, her smile wide and bright as she pumps her fist in the air. They wait for the crowd to calm down before Pico starts his beatboxing. The beat begins slow, the notes sounding familiar as recognition settles on Girlfriend's features.
"Yo," he begins, holding the microphone close to his lips as he gets into the beat, "it's the remix." Pico's beatboxing continues before Cassette Girl joins in with her keyboard. The beat plays from the launchpad as the beatboxing ends, and that's his cue to start rapping.
"Don't look complacent, wearin' those rags, you ain't adjacent. Lookie, I'm fly, and you look basic. Look in her eyes, and I feel like takin' it for the win." He meets Girlfriend's gaze with a grin as he waves his hand back and forth, pumping the crowd up as he continues to rap.
"Her dad be evil, no twin. Skin purp' like the Sprite, sippin'. He open his yap and you wouldn't believe it's the sound of an angel when he spittin'." At Pico's cue, Skid and Pump join in with a chant of, "Go man go! Go man go!" They keep it up as Boyfriend continues to rap, the energy high and exciting as he performs for fun.
"Even though he look like a demon, hold my blue nuts as I battle for the takin'. Of this girl, I just wanna hold her hand. Look in our DM's and it's like candy land." Boyfriend kneels on the stage and gestures for Girlfriend to come closer. Without missing a beat, Girlfriend makes her way over, her head bobbing in time to the rhythm as she smiles blissfully.
"Yo, I really can't bust when her evil ass dad tryna make my ass be grass. So I got one shot, learned to spit real hot, and it might just go like this." As he takes her hand, he pulls her onto the stage and the Spooky Boys go quiet for his next lines.
"I don't mean no disrespect, but there's something about her I can't let go. Baby, you know that I love you, even though my balls are blue." The joke gets a giggle from Girlfriend, and it takes all his willpower not to stop rapping just to kiss her right there.
"I want to spend my life with her, even if her dad is evil or some shit. Now spit it like this: we gettin' freaky on a Friday night, chyeah!" The crowd goes wild as he scoops Girlfriend up in one arm, cradling her against his body as he continues to rap. Her arms wrap around his neck as she leans against him, warm and happy in his embrace.
As she should be.
The Spooky Boys return with the chant, pumping the crowd up some more as they cheer loudly with the rap.
"I just want to hold her tight, chyeah! Her hair, her eyes, her thighs, yeah. If I die, it'll all be worth it. Just to get a chance to show she's worth it!" He sways with the beat, watching as the crowd gets into the performance. Besides him, Cassette Girl is grinning, nodding her head to the beat as she plays the mellow tunes on her keyboard. Pico meanwhile focuses his attention alternating between beatboxing and playing the right beats on the launchpad, all while paying attention to the song and directing when the boys start and end their chant. Despite the amount of tasks on his shoulders, he holds himself high and proud, enjoying himself with a smile as he moves with the beat. Even the kids are enjoying themselves, bouncing on the spot and watching Pico intently for his cues. A part of Boyfriend wonders if they're even paying attention to the lyrics or if they're too engrossed in the beats and sounds coming from the keyboard and launchpad to even care.
Not that it matters.
All that matters is that they're all having fun . He looks out into the crowd and sees smile upon smile as they're all enjoying themselves to the music. This. This is what performing is all about. The energy, the enjoyment, everyone losing themselves to the music and forgetting their woes and worries for even just a minute-
That's what makes it all so worth it.
He raps the chorus one last time before letting the beat peter out, Pico ending the song with his beatboxing increasing in tempo before ending it abruptly. The crowd continues their cheers as Boyfriend yells into his microphone.
"You guys ready for more?!"
There's no doubt in his mind that he will absolutely be banned from the bar after this show, just with how rowdy the crowd is getting. But it's all worth it in the end as he nods to his friends to play whatever beat that comes to mind. He'll come up with the lyrics on the fly, all of them dedicated to Girlfriend as he sets her down and holds her tight to his side as they sway together.
He doesn't know how long they go for. All the hype and excitement pushes him to continue, and when he looks over to see if Pico or Cassette Girl or even the boys look just a little tired, he's surprised to see them too excited to even consider taking a break. The night is filled with raps filled with jokes and love as the clock finally strikes ten.
Time to end the show.
"Alriiiight, everyone!" Cassette Girl takes the microphone back from Boyfriend, panting slightly as she gestures to the crowd that grew during the performance. "Unfortunately, that's it for this show! Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed your meals, and please, come back again when we host another gig or open mic!" The crowd applauds as they all bow. Cassette Girl pats his shoulder with a grin and turns back to help Pico clean up. Girlfriend clings to his side, giggling and burying her face against his neck.
"Ohhh, that was so much fun!" Her giddiness makes him laugh as he hugs her tight, covering her face in kisses as he breathes for the first time since the performance began.
"Did you enjoy yourself?"
"Are you kidding?!" She laughs and picks him up, twirling them together in a circle before cuddling him midair. "That was the most fun I've had in ages!"
"I'm glad," he admits, relief washing over him that their night was a success after all. "Sucks we didn't finish our dinners though."
"I can get boxes for them." Pico shows up next to them, both kids curled up in his arms as they cling to him. "Or, uh, I can get Cass to get 'em for ya."
"Aww, are they tired?" Girlfriend sets Boyfriend down to take a look at the kids. "They did a really good job tonight!" Skid lifts his head up, a tired but bright smile on his face as he giggles.
"That was fun! I wanna do it again, Mr. Pico!"
"I'll think about it. Remember what we promised before the show?"
"No repeating the bad words around mom," both boys respond, although Pump's words are muffled against Pico's shirt. He chuckles and nods towards the couple.
"I gotta get these kids home. You guys get some rest too."
"We will." Boyfriend stretches, feeling worn out from the show.
"See ya."
"Bye, Pico!" Girlfriend waves as Pico walks off, the two kids waving from Pico's arms. "He really is good with kids, even if he won't admit it."
"He's always been protective of them." They both hum, the thought sobering them a bit as they watch the ginger disappear in the crowd. "We should visit him later and make sure he's okay too."
"Sounds like a plan." Girlfriend smiles and takes his hand, swinging their arms between them. A waitress comes by quickly, helping them pack their barely eaten dinners and shooing them out of the bar. As they leave, Boyfriend passes by Server-chan, her expression still looking exhausted as their eyes meet. But despite this, she smiles when she sees him, and he hopes she had fun too during his show.
He and Girlfriend walk for about five minutes before a limo pulls up beside them. She sighs and turns to hug him tight, her face buried in his shoulder before she kisses him softly.
"Thanks for the lovely night," she whispers, soft and tender as the warmth from her cheek seeps through his shirt. "It really was the best night of my life."
"I'm glad then," he whispers back, pressing a kiss to her temple. "'Cause I'm gonna make sure I make every night the best night of your life from now on."
She giggles, pulling herself away reluctantly before climbing into the limo. He watches as it drives away into the night, leaving him alone.
The night air is cold and brisk, but he finds himself warm regardless. A smile wide and bright on his face as he stuffs his hands into his pockets, a tune coming out in the form of a whistle as he walks home.
What a night to remember.
