Evan Buckley A-Z Relationship Headcanons

Pairing: Evan Buckley x Gn!Reader

A/n: This is my first time doing these types of headcanons, so I hope it goes well. Get's a bit less detailed towards the end, mostly because I jut wanted to get them out already lol.

A: affection (is he affectionate? how?):

Buck is very affectionate! Emotionally, verbally and physically.

He doesn't shy away from showing his affection either. If you don't mind PDA he is all for it. If you are a bit shy about it, he will just hold your hand, or have his arm draped around your waist.

He is a cuddler, and enjoys you being close to him physically. And he loves to hold you tight, and press kisses to your head, shoulder, cheeks and hands whenever he can (and your lips obviously).

He is emotionally and verbally affectionate and will often remind you how much he loves you. He compliments you like crazy and will tell you anytime you do something he thinks is cute.

B: Boyfriend (what is he like a a boyfriend; boyfriend things):

Buck can be a little dense at times, but he tries very hard to be a loving and caring boyfriend. He can be very selfless though so you gotta make sure he is looking out for himself too. He is a romantic at heart so expect random gifts, fancy dates, flowers, snacks, etc.

He is protective, and the last thing he wants is for you to get hurt. But this might drive you up the wall sometimes if he gets a bit too protective lol.

Constantly hearing new and bizarre facts he learned on the job, or when he fell down a research rabbit hole and two in the morning

Also, if you are someone who gets your period, he would take care of you. Bring you anything your craving buy you heating/cooling pads, medicine, etc. Anything to make you feel better if you are in pain.

C: Confession (did he confess first? how did he confess?):

He was fairly straight forward with his confession. You already knew he was interested since he basically made it obvious from the beginning. And he asked you out on a few dates. But when he wanted to tell you how he really felt about you (meaning his attraction was full-blown romantic feelings), he brought you flowers and gave you a charming smile.

He gave you a cute speech about how you made his heart hammer in his chest every time he saw you, and that he never really got butterflies from someone until he met you. Buck would make it clear that he wanted a serious relationship with you, and that you had become a part of him, and that you had his heart (so please don't break it).

D: Dates (what kind of dates do you go on?):

Buck loves a fun date. Sure he goes with the romantic candle-lit dinners every now and again, but he really loves fun and cute dates.

Picnics on the beach or in the park. Amusement park dates, arcade dates, movies, bowling, mini golf. Any and every activity you could do together, he is ready and willing.

If you plan a date he is all for it as well, he can find and make fun out of anything. Hell, he even enjoys date nights at home just watching movies and eating take-out. Any time spent with you with great to him.

E: Excitement (what does he do to bring excitement into your relationship)

Similar to the fun dates previously mentioned, he might suggest adventurous things. Bungee jumping, helicopter rides, boat rides, etc.. Anything that might bring adrenaline without being too dangerous. He makes sure to keep you on your toes and will be impulsive, bringing you along for the ride.

Maybe recommending a weekend trip, camping, road-trips, etc. If he gets an idea, its hard for him not to run with it.

Buck is an over-planner, so you know he does his research as well, so you always feel safe (if not still scared).

F: Food (does he cook for you? do you cook for him?)

Over the last few years, Buck has gotten pretty good at cooking, so he enjoys cooking for you. If you love to cook as well, he enjoys the two of you cooking together in the kitchen, or watching as you make something for the two of you. If you cook, he cleans, if he cooks, you have to get to the dishes before he does because he will do them even if you say you will.

He learns (often with Bobby's help) how to make your favorite foods. So when you are having a hard time he can surprise you with them.

Buck really is a prime example of giving and receiving love through food.

G: Gifts (does he get you gifts? what kind? does he like gifts?)

You probably have a hundred little trinkets around your house because of Buck. Oh, he saw a little ferris wheel key chain that reminds him of your third date? He's buying it for you. See's couple aprons? Definitely buying those. Matching mugs? Yep.

Anything that reminds him of you will most likely be bought, or at least greatly debated. You can thank Eddie and Hen for the fact that you do not have a thousand other things that reminded Buck of you.

Anytime you give Buck gifts he cherishes them. If it's is something simple and cute, he gives you that dopey grin and hugs you. If it is something sentimental or special, he might get emotional, or will take pictures of it to show the others.

H: Hugs (is he a hugger? does he like hugs?)

Pretty obvious by now, but yes he is a hugger! Back hugs, side hugs, hugs where he lifts you off the ground. All the hugs!

He loves when you hug him too. If you come up and wrap your arms around him, he immediately stars grinning. Coo's at you, might lovingly tease you, and will press a kiss to your head. If you hug from from behind, he will grab your hands and press kisses to them.

I: "I Love You" (how did he first say 'I love you', does he say it often?)

Buck knew he was falling in love with you the second it started happening. When his friends were talking about marriage, and he could easily and happily picture marrying you. He knew.

It was a few weeks later when it slipped out. After a rough day at work, you were cuddling together after eating. You were running your fingers through his hair while he was talking about how he was feeling. He could feel your love for him in that moment and gently caressed your face.

"I love you, you know." "I do know. And I love you too."

He is not shy in saying he loves you after this. Every time you say goodbye, he needs to make sure you hear him say it. He does not believe you can say it too much to someone, and he always wants to make sure you know.

J: Jealous (does he get jealous? how does he show it?)

Buck isn't one to get jealous often. He trusts you 1000%. When others get close to you, showing interest or flirting, he gets more protective than he does jealous. He knows you would never give them the time of day, but that doesn't mean he can trust them to back off.

Before you were dating however, he would get that little pang of jealousy in his chest if others showed interest in you. And if you seemed to be interested at all, he would feel it more as well as a bit worried that he might lose his chance.

K: Kissing (does he like kissing? how does he kiss?)

Like previously mentioned, Buck is a fan of physical affection and this does include kissing. Though he is fine with PDA, kissing isn't part of that, apart from a kiss on the cheek or forehead.

Kisses on the lips are for just the two of you. He can get lost in kissing you as well, and he loves lying on the couch or bed, with you in his arms as you slowly kiss each other. He also is the type too pull you flush against him as he is kissing you. Or he places his hands on either side of your face as he kisses you.

He often gives you kisses as he passes by you. Either a quick kiss on the cheek, temple of a peck on the lips.

When you kiss him he melts, and often smiles into the kiss, especially if he was not expecting it.

L: Love Languages (what are his giving and receiving love languages?)

Buck's main giving love languages is Acts of Service, while he also often uses physical affection and gifts to remind you how much he loves you.

His receiving love languages are words of affirmation and quality time. He loves being reminded and told that he is loved as it reassures him. And he loves just being around you, it doesn't matter what you are doing, just as you are together.

M: Marriage (does he want to get married? what would married life be like with him?)

Buck totally wants to get married, and thinks about it often. He knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

Being married to him wouldn't be much different than when you were dating. The only thing that really changes, is how he enthusiastically introduces you as his spouse, rather than his partner. He loves the sound of it, and it reminds him that you are together forever.

On the other side of it, if he is dating someone who does not want to get married, he is okay with it. He might be a little disappointed, but he'd never force his partner to do something they don't like. But this would not stop him from buying you some sort of promise ring, or token to remind you that he wants to be with you forever, married or not.

N: Nicknames (does he use nicknames or pet-names with you? what do you call him?)

On a daily basis he will call you by whatever nick-name you go by, or just your name. But he has a variety of pet-names for you. Babe, baby, sweetheart. If you are shorter than him he calls you 'Little One' or 'short-cake'.

You usually call him Buck, or Evan if you need to get his attention. Otherwise you call him Babe, Handsome, or Gorgeous.

O: Oath (what kind of things does he promise you?)

One of the biggest promises in your relationship is that no matter what. You both try your hardest to come home to each other every day. Alive, and safe.

He also always promises to make you happy, and to never hurt you. Something you promise him as well.

You promise each other to never hold things in, and to always tell each other everything. Communication is very important in your relationship.

P: Proposal (how would he propose?)

Buck is a romantic, so he will be planning something for a few weeks before he actually proposes. He gets advice from everyone, asking if his ideas are good, if he should do more, less, etc. He panics, but only because he wants it to be perfect.

Finally, he decides to do it on a weekend, when you are both off of work. You go stay in a cute house a few hours away near the coast. On the second day, while you were in the shower, he set up a picnic for the two of you.

When you were ready he asked you to go on a walk with him. You noticed he is a bit antsy, but you try not to think much of it. Though you had an idea he was planning something, you didn't think it was a proposal.

The walk was to the area he set up the picnic. You figured this was the surprise, and that was why he was a bit antsy. Hoping you liked it. Which you very much did.

After you ate, and the sun began to set, that was when he proposed. As you were looking out at the sunset, you turned back to look at him and he was on one knee.

He had a speech, because of course he would. It was emotional and romantic and made you cry. It was perfect.

Q: Quarrels (do you fight? what are fights like with him)

You rarely fight with Buck as he is the type to talk everything out, something you both decided was important.

So the only times you really argued, was when he did something reckless, usually endangering his life. You get angry out of love, but he might get defensive leading to an argument.

You make up fairly quickly though as you both realize the other's view. Buck is Buck and will do anything to save others. But you are afraid of losing him. He apologizes, and promises he will try his best not to put himself into more danger than he already gets into (you know this is kind of a lie, but you forgive him anyways).

R: Remember (does he remember important things?)

Not only does he remember important things like birthdays and anniversaries, but he remembers very small things. Details about you, and your relationship.

What flavors of ice cream, desserts, candy, you do and do not like. What specific orders you like with coffee or drinks. The ingredients in meals you avoid, or push to the side to save for last.

He remembers the places you've said you'd like to go to, the dates you've said sound cute.

He even has a notebook of stuff he's written down because he doesn't want to forget.

On the opposite side of this, he is horrible at remembering things like appointments or where you said you were going after work. So when you don't come home he gets worried and messages you, only for you to have to remind him that you were visiting your parents or friends. Something you told him about four times.

S: Sentimental (is he sentimental? how?)

Buck is pretty sentimental. He loves taking photos anytime you do something, dates, trips, going on walks. He has folders on his phone with 1000's of photos of the two of you and all the things you've done together.

He occasionally keeps things like ticket stubs, or stuff like that, but only if it was something meaningful or really fun. If you are the type to keep those kinds of things too, he thinks it is cute, and will make sure to keep them for you, so you can put them with the others.

T: Together (how does he act with you in public vs in private)

There is not a real difference with how he acts with you in public versus private. He does not hide how he feels about you. The only thing that is different, is how he keeps the PDA on the more casual side like previously mentioned.

He is not afraid of telling people about you, or how much he loves and admires you. He is proud of you and loves telling people you are together and about your relationship.

U: Uplifting (how does he cheer you up? what is the best way to cheer him up?)

When you are upset, Buck tries his best to cheer you up. He will buy you snacks, flowers, make you food, anything to show you that he is there for you. He will set up the couch to be all cozy, turn on your favorite shows or movies and just cuddle with you.

If you need to talk or rant about your feelings he will listen intently and make you feel seen.

If you need a break from the world, he might take you on a small trip, or do his best to distract you from the world.

He knows how much you try your best to make him happy so he will do his best to do the same for you. Any day you are sad or do not smile, is his least favorite day.

V: Vacation (when or where would you go on vacation together?)

Went over this a little bit before. But with more specific trips, if you only have the weekend off, you might take a road trip up the coast, or go visit Yosemite.

If you had a week or longer then you would take a trip out of the country. Most likely to a cute European town, or some place on the ocean.

You look for places with a lot of activities and places to visit like restaurants and museums, because you want to get as much out o the trip as you can. Though, if your vacation comes after a long stressful time, a place near the ocean where you relax and do very little is just what you need.

W: Wedding (what kind of wedding would you have?)

If you and Buck get married, he will be happy with whatever you want. If you want a small simple wedding, he is all for it. Close friends and family only.

If you want big and extravagant, he is all for it and will help you come up with fun ideas to make it the best it can be.

Most likely though, you will have something in the middle. Not too big, not to small. With a few things both of you wanted. Your decorations and theme, food trucks and maybe a karaoke machine for Buck. And you know there will for sure be a dance sequence with Eddie buck and Chimney (with a special appearance by Chris and Bobby). It is embarrassing, but also very funny, and you often look back on the video when you need to cheer up.

X: Xtra (a random head canon I have)

Your first date with Buck was home-made dinner at his place.

He burned it a little, since he was so nervous, but you thought it was good anyways. You cleaned the dishes together and ended up having a small water fight in the kitchen. Which then lead to your first kiss.

Y: Yearning (does he yearn for you when you are apart? how does he deal with it?)

Buck doesn't like being apart from you for too long, because he misses you easily. He is so used to you being in his life daily that when you aren't around he feels like a part of him is missing.

So to remedy this, he texts you a lot and face times with you whenever he can. He also has a tendency to talk about you a lot more often when you aren't around. Which often leads to Eddie or Chimney texting you begging you to cm back sooner before they kill him.

Z: zZzZz (sleeping habits)

Buck falls sleep fairly easily, and is also kind of hard to wake up. He can be a bed and blanket hog sometimes, but once he gets used to sharing a bed with you, it lessens.

He is a snuggler as well, and likes to be the big spoon holding you close to him. He is quite big and very warm so sometimes you have to rip your blankets off so you don't overheat.

He likes the occasional nap, and will sometimes kidnap you from whatever you are doing and carry you to the bed with him so you can nap with him. He will hold you tight, so good luck trying to sneak away if that was your plan. You're stuck now.

what are your thoughts about castiel’s overall characterization throughout the series? I often see people say they made him a “joke” the longer the show went on and that they don’t like how they made him less menacing than he was when first introduced

tbh as the show progressed, i believe that the writers slowly but surely forgot how to utilize Castiel as a character. some people might disagree with me about this, but imo the only one who actually even came close to realizing Cas' potential was Kripke, and that was partially bc he created him. spn honest to god struck gold, not just with angels in general, but with Cas, and Kripke recognized that almost immediately from the fan response to him. Cas was introduced in season 4 as a minor character, and by season 5, he had already earned his spot as one of 3 leads.

once Kripke peaced out, it took exactly one (1) season before the writers were already trying to throw Cas away like fuckin garbage, despite him being a fan favorite. but once they realized that that decision would quite literally get the whole series cancelled, they were forced to bring him back. that whole situation is proof to me that many of the writers, at least at that point, simply did not understand what they held in their hands (something something you don't know whatcha got til it's gone).

once they stopped trying to get rid of him, i think one of the things that irritated me the most was how much they depowered Cas at just about every corner. so yeah, i'm in the same boat as a lot of people with that. but i also understand that leaving Cas at full angel power would've allowed him to solve pretty much any problem the Winchesters had, so they couldn't exactly do that either without the story becoming too boring. i acknowledge that they were in a bit of a tough spot as far as that went.

but even still, i feel like there was a happy medium that was overlooked. Castiel had so many really cool and interesting aspects as a character that were under-appreciated or not fully explored. for example, Cas theoretically knew every language ever created, yet we never saw him speak anything other than english or enochian (he didn't even sign with Eileen!). the most he ever did was translate some texts from other languages to english, which is just not the same. i would've also loved to know more about Castiel's true form. they gave us the tiniest hint of what Zachariah's looked like (six wings and four faces, one of which being a lion), but all we ever really got for Cas was his skyscraper height (although i will admit to the beauty of his true form being left mostly up to fan imagination). it just felt like post season 5, the writers' idea of angels in general devolved into a more stereotypical concept, rather than the terrifying biblical version during the Kripke era.

i could go on and on about Castiel; he holds a very special place in my heart. while i do love how gentle and domesticated he became in the later seasons, i still think overall he was dreadfully under-utilized and mishandled as a character. but i wouldn't necessarily say they turned him into a "joke" over the years. i just don't think the writers truly understood how much potential he had, therefore he was misrepresented (and kinda mistreated) time and time again.

When your minding your business going through the diluc tag, and then you end up seeing someone's trash opinion on him that ends ruining your whole day...

And of course it's from someone who has a positive view on Kaeya. 😒

I bet if it was reversed people would be defending Kaeya (people are mostly defending him anyways because he's good looking, why is diluc considered the ugly sibling? There's nothing ugly about him)

(Also, I don't know anything about DC, but your Jason Todd / Batman post are interesting to read through. Who do you think in the Bat family would get along well with diluc?)

So I personally have a habit of when I feel my opinion is too negative towards a character…. I don't tag the post. Because it's not a post for fans of that characters. And I'm not trying to give anyone shit for like that character or thinking otherwise.

But it is what it is, and some people have trouble drawing lines like that. I have a lot of thought about fanon vs. canon and might type them out one day, but that's not today.

Diluc gets called ugly because, well, he's a bit bug eyed. And his model has aged more poorly than the other as Hoyo's designs have evolved. Do I think he's ugly? Hell no. that's my baby baby boy!

Another thing I find a lot of the bad takes on Diluc also come form bad takes on Kaeya. They really like babying him and really objectifying him like he's not a complex character who realized he hurt someone he cared about and takes ownership of that mistake.

Now for me to go a bit Rabid. Jason Todd is a special interest of mine. And boy if I had a nickle for every time I've obsessed over a fictional character associated with birds and the color who has a more popular sibling associated with birds and the color blue and who is often mischaracterized as an angry asshole I'd have two nickles which isn't a lot but weird it happened twice.

As for BatFamily Diluc would get along with. For starters Jason. I think Diluc would see their similarities, but realized Jason doesn't really get that support that Diluc does. So Diluc being Diluc. Would take it upon himself. Would Jason like this? Eeheheheh he'd be the dramatic little shit he always is but Diluc would definitely take it in stride.

Tim would probably be the one who Diluc would really get alone with. Like in the same vein of how I think Albedo and Diluc get along. I haven't read a lot of Tim. But they both are people born in the upper class who have the easiest route of all but are choice to take the hard way to do what they think is right and know to help people. I don't know as much about Tim, but I can see him and Diluc have really deep intellectual debate and just be very stimulating for each other without being frustrating.

Damian would be another one. But he'd be in the same boat as Jason. Diluc see's a kid who's struggling not totally getting the support he might need and is trying to learn. Trying to be better. So again Diluc would look out for him even if Damian doesn't like it (read the boy wonder)

Cass I think would be another good friend. Diluc is a person who can deal with silence, and I also think they be eye-opening for them. Haven't read a ton of Cass yet, tho. She definitely could see a lot more of Diluc's gentle side.

Dick and Kate might also be in there. But they might have a hard time with Diluc's rougher exterior and awkwardness. Barbara and him would defiantly get a long, but I think it would take some time.

I have a few angsty/comfort requests that are gonna take a while to finish so now I'm taking a break by writing slightly shorter HCs of the brothers and nowdateables, I've had these asks sitting in my inbox for so long-I am genuinely sorry ;-;

Characters: Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmo, Beel, Belphie, Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon, Solomon, Luke

Warnings: Just mild cursing

Lucifer:

-Lucifer feels pretty neutral about tattoos in general

-Since they have been popular for a long time now, it wouldn’t be his first time seeing a human with a tattoo and honestly has no impact on him at the beginning of the programme because it’s just a quirky human thing y’know

-Demons can technically get tattoos but there is no point since many of them can shapeshift anyway and their human forms can have any number of oddities such as piercings or tattoos

-It's mostly a human thing, turns out we started the whole 'injecting ourselves with ink to see how it goes' trend and kinda ran for the fields with it-demons and angels don't really see the appeal

-Once he warms up to you, if you explain the reasoning or meaning behind it (whether you had it in memory of someone or just because you liked the design) he might actually appreciate it a bit more

-At the end of the day, he thinks it adds to your character and it also indirectly tells him something about you in general, which is a subject he is more than just a little interested in

-He doesn't understand it but he thinks it looks good on you and if you like it then who is he to judge?

Mammon:

-Honestly, he thinks it's one of the coolest things about you, even though he'd drop dead before admitting this to your face

-Even if it's a really simple, small tattoo he's going to internally fawn over it because, in his eyes, it makes you look badass af

-Lowkey offended you've been hiding this from him for so long

-Actually, you might just persuade him to get one himself and knowing him, he would totally go over the top with it

-I mean, think about it, if he hasn't already Mammon is definitely the type of person to get sleeves of tattoos and look hot whilst doing it

-100% would get matching tattoos with you, would not even hesitate and it seems like a good idea except you'd inflate his head bigger than it already is so-

-Is a dumbass and would probably try to colour in the tattoos if they are accessible to him at any given moment and he happens to have sharpies on him

Levi:

-You know, funnily enough, I think Levi would look really good with tattoos, especially if he got some that were related to either his sin or water

-But an MC with a tattoo would absolutely amaze him since it definitely gives off protagonist vibes and he will probably find a way to relate you back to almost every anime he's ever watched that happened to have a character with a tattoo in it

-Honestly, he'd be more than willing to listen to you about the meaning or origin behind your tattoo/s if you feel like disclosing it to him (or if there is a meaning) since you often listen to his rants without a second thought and he wants to return the favour

-Actually, you might encourage him enough to get his own

-But I wouldn't count on it for the foreseeable future, he was kind of put off by what sounds like a painful procedure and thought of his brothers never letting him hear the end of it

-Also, he is part of the military and I like to think that, for disciplinary reasons, members might have a strict dress code (then again they are demons so probably not)

-Either way, he likes tattoos and even though he gets a tad too excited when you start telling him about your own and might ask some personal questions, he has good intentions

Satan:

-Kinda in the same boat as Lucifer though don’t tell him I said that

-He has many human acquaintances and seems to be on good terms with many of them so it’s more than likely he has met several people with tattoos in the past

-He didn’t expect you to have any, naturally but when he finds out about it, he’s pretty chill though he might try to make small talk and ask what it symbolises, etc.

-Sometimes, if you’re sitting close to him whilst reading or something, and your tattoo is accessible (like on your forearm) then he might trace it with his own hand absentmindedly

-Weirdly enough, I also think he’d like seeing his pact mark somewhere near your tattoo-there’s no real reason for this I just thought he’d be into that

-I think maybe sometimes he uses the physical appearance of someone to judge and analyse them as if he was Sherlock Holmes so that might happen during your first couple of days in Devildom 😭😭

-Other than that, he doesn’t think about it or bring it up all that much. He’s usually too distracted by your annoyingly attractive face y’know

Asmo:

-You already know where I’m going with this one

-There’s no way in Hell that Asmo is not the type to flirt and use your tattoos as a reason for that

-This might not sound right but, like Mammon, I also think he’d have a tattoo if possible though definitely not whole sleeves. More like small tattoos on his ankles or wrists

-He would definitely get tattoos for the aesthetic rather than the actual meaning behind it because he wants to look good for his Devilgram story and the tattoo needs to fit whatever theme he’s obsessed with

-But when it comes to you, no matter what tattoo or how big or small it is, he immediately finds it endearing

-Whilst his brothers are mostly in the neutral zone about this kinda thing I feel like Asmo would 100% encourage and support you getting one even if you don’t have one already

-And then obviously, all further shopping trips and the type of clothes he’s gonna get you will be altered with the tattoos in mind in order to show them off as often as possible

Beel:

-I just hope you don’t have a tattoo of a certain type of food anywhere on your body because that might trigger him

-Especially at the beginning, he’s already watering at the thought of eating you so a tattoo of a burger or something would not help

-Otherwise, he also sort of falls in the neutral category when it comes to tattoos

-After all, he didn’t start hanging out with you because of your accessories, regardless of how cool they are

-Then again, he is interested in you and therefore, once you’re more comfortable with each other, I see him as the type to ask quiet but sweet questions about any tattoos you might have

-Like he might talk about his past and then conversation may lead to you getting that tattoo in the past for whatever reason

-Just really little things that he’ll remember and then surprise you with next time you talk

-Also, he’d be hesitant to get one himself but he’d look good with it. Like really good. Just wanted to point that out

-Though he was definitely confused about it when he first learned tattoos were a thing, he didn’t really get it but it doesn’t matter!

-He would sympathise if he learned that getting one hurts quite a bit but eventually he’d convince himself he’d want to get one himself

-And he’s dead serious about it too but thankfully Barbatos puts a stop to it by reminding him that maybe the future ruler of Devildom shouldn’t go too crazy with tattoos

-He might get small ones to match with yours but either way he will be fascinated by the meaning behind yours (if there is one)

-I’d see him as the type to also trace it with his hands but out of curiosity on how it feels more than anything and he always asks first cuz polite prince things yk

-He gives off this air of aloofness which you interpret as disinterest when in reality it’s politeness that is holding him back from asking you about it

-Of course, unless you bring the conversation to focusing on your tattoo, he feels he has no right to comment (this tbh would include stuff like dyed hair, piercings, etc.)

-And obviously, being the mysterious butler he is, he’d much rather hear you talk about yourself so the meaning behind your tattoo is a perfect example of leading the spotlight away from him

-Still, he can’t say he doesn’t find your tattoo/s endearing but I believe that is simply because he finds all of you endearing so eh

-Though you noticed that whenever your tattoo is on display in public he does tend to stare at it sometimes when he is not need by Lord Diavolo

-He’d also be the type to trace it, I think. It feels like it would relax him or something idk, maybe I’m pulling at straws here

-He’s probably not overly fond of tattoos in general but honestly you rock everything you wear and that includes tattoos so he’s not complaining

-He’s just annoying bruh

-Like, he does not understand personal space (something that even Mammon has understood to an extent) and will ask as many personal questions as possible within a 60 second interval

-Obviously he backs off and apologises if he makes you uncomfortable but he does the thing where he clearly stares at something without saying anything

-And you have to ask if he wants something and then he goes “How long have you had this tattoo for?” Or something similar to that

-And that’s another thing-the questions he asks about it are so bloody random. Like “What nationality was your tattooist?” And “What was the weather like when you got it” which is just weird

-I think he’d have a couple of tattoos of his own but I don’t think you’d be able to tell them apart from the dozens of pact marks he has with other demons

-He won’t talk about his but if you’re willing to talk about yours without shutting him down then he’s all ears

Simeon:

-See I’m conflicted about this

-Because as an angel, I don’t think he’d be particularly supportive of tattoos mostly because he would maybe think that they are staining your beautiful skin or something

-But on the other hand, he’s down bad for you and for some reason, tattoos look a lot better on you than they do on others he’s seen

-Of course, he’s very complimentary when he first met you about it and asked small, polite questions but never intruded unlike a certain someone *coUGH COuGH-solomon-COUgh*

-Once the two of you grow closer, his curiosity might might get the better of him and he would feel more comfortable talking about stuff like that in general

-It was kind of a big thing about you at first but the more time he spends in your presence, the more accustomed he gets to it-meaning it no longer stands out to him all that much

-Will probably stare as well but unlike that embarrassing sorcerer, he actually would get pretty flustered about it

Luke:

-He’s never seen a tattoo in his life

-He’s quite young and hasn’t had many interactions with humans before ok, give him a break

-You were the first person with a tattoo he’s ever met and he is confused beyond measurement

-“Simeon why does the human exchange student have drawings on their skin?”

-He doesn’t want to be rude obviously but he questions it the same way most children would 😭😭😭

-He doesn’t think it’s bad or anything but it’s kinda like tasting a new type of food and trying to decide whether it’s good or not

-He’s very curious about it but Simeon told him not to ask anything personal unless you gave the green light for that to happen

-Obviously his whole reaction would be what you would expect a child’s to be, a lot of staring but it’s not malicious and he’s definitely all about finding out more about it if you’re willing to tell him. He does think they look good on you

When did you start writing?

blah blah blah been writing stories since I was a kid blah but honestly I'd say I legitimately developed an interest in writing fiction when I was around 13. you'll never guess this but I was on the jr high literary magazine and I wrote a sweet lil 13yo romance story where a marine biologist verbally abuses a dude who hits a dolphin with his boat and then he gets them both to the emergency vet and then it turns into a meet-cute. I used the word "dumbass" in the story and my teaching advisor let it slide and it was published with the swear intact. it was a whole thing.

Are there different themes or genres you enjoy reading than what you write?

I read all kinds of things I don't especially want to write. a lot of nonfiction and investigative journalism, memoirs, literary classics a la Virginia Woolf. no interest whatsoever in writing it but it's good reading.

Is there a writer you want to emulate or get compared to often?

there isn't like a specific writer I aspire to write like, but I have historically been compared to Neil Gaiman, which is very flattering. mostly I admire the writing chops of Laini Taylor for her beautiful lyrical imagery and dreamlike framing, Carmen Maria Machado for the way she blends horror elements with life, queerness and emotion, Christopher Moore for his incredible humor writing, and (surprise) Neil Gaiman for his approach to speculative fiction that feels so accessible and tied to the real world. like you could turn over a rock and find an entire magical world you never knew was there.

I don't necessarily want to EMULATE them but I have been influenced by them, for sure.

Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?

I write on a laptop curled up in the corner of my couch with noise-cancelling headphones on and am frequently interrupted by pets, a spouse, or children. which is why I tend to write late at night.

What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?

sit my ass down and start typing. like I know that is not romantic or fun but part of writing is that I have to get into my flow state, and I can't do that by dicking around doing stuff that isn't writing. it can be really, really hard. sometimes it'll feel like shit. but I do it anyway.

something that helps me a lot is putting on the headphones and listening to mood music or a dialogue video to kind of kickstart my brain into the creative space.

I also do a weed. doing a weed relaxes my inner critic. sometimes.

Are there any recurring themes in your writing? Do they surprise you?

sibling relationships tend to feature prominently. I have several siblings and sibling dynamics are fascinating to me. there also tend to be themes of self-sacrifice, choosing love (romantic or platonic), and messy but ride-or-die style friendships.

What is your reason for writing?

I feel compelled to put the movies playing in my head to the page. it brings me joy to transcribe my weird ideas and give them form.

Is there any specific comment or type of comment you find particularly motivating?

when people tell me they've come back to reread something I wrote because it stuck with them. that's like. wow. what a feeling. what a motivator.

How do you want to be thought about by your readers?

I try not to think about how other people think about me if I can help it, which I often can't, lol. but mostly I hope readers (and people in general) think of me as someone who tells emotionally resonant stories that make them smile or laugh.

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?

dialogue. expressing an emotion succinctly on the page.

How do you feel about your own writing?

I'm in a pretty good place about it these days. I write both professionally and for fun, and what I do in this space is my fun time. I can let go, be experimental and weird, not overanalyze every single word, and make something for/with a community that I really enjoy.

When you write, are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, or do you write purely for yourself, or a mix of both?

a mix of both, I guess? mostly for myself, honestly. I write the things I would enjoy reading. I write the smut I would find hot. I write the jokes that make me laugh. but I also love giving little winks to readers and letting them know that they're part of the experience, too.

Wdym by mra-y arguments? I've seen some things that mill down to "Imogen is a crazy hysterical bitch that they need to put down" but i wanna know if there's anything I missed :0

i kinda brushed up on it in the ask, but the insistence about imogen not giving a crap about his feelings because he’s a man is/was weirdly popular. which is a flagrant lie, imogen understands how this mission sucks for him getting triggered day in and day out by having to interact with the guy who traumatized him, and has enough empathy to not want to take away the gods for fear of mass-traumatizing others. also, if you think she hates him or thinks her trauma is “worse” skill issue, no the fuck she doesn’t. please actually watch the show instead of getting angry at a “no boys allowed” twitter user quip about how much they want imogen to punch him in the face.

this also affected fearne a bit too, mostly in the way of “if only dorian was here, he would understand how orym is feeling/ashton is the only person in bh that cares about orym’s feelings” as if fearne isn’t his best friend or went through similar things. also dude’s just very “don’t rock the boat-y” in all his actions and often intentionally distracts the team from his feelings because he doesn’t want to bother them and at some point you can’t blame everyone else for it.

unlike most drama, this one actually has reasoning behind it. unfortunately, that reasoning is stupid. it took the massively equally dumb shipping drama behind the beau.jes community that was inundated with trans woman exterminatory radical feminists and applied it to im.odna and bell's hells. while there were and still are people who acted like women were perfect and all the men were abusers in the c3 fandom, a lot of complaints about the guys ranging from casual nitpicks to bad faith fanfiction were painted with the same brush of “crazy man-hating feminists” (because i guess trans women don’t exist or something?) and acted like all the women were evil demons getting every one of their eviiiiiiiiil actions excused because they had estrogen in their bodies. it was fucking dark. if you headcanoned imogen as a lesbian you were basically chucking heterosexual little boys into a meatgrinder. why else do you think laudm.oore got so insufferable?

look, i get it. it got annoying seeing people demand fcg get blown up for being reckless or that laudna should eat orym or that they should have abandoned ashton on the side of the road any time any of them did something sort sighted. but the way to get around that is not to start saying that imogen’s meant to go full dark phoenix and kill the party because she’s crazy and murderous or that laudna is just a delilah chrysalis from day one and is biding her time to strike. or that they’re going to be evil demonic lesbian twin bbegs that get murdered and then perc’halia and fjorester can make out on their grave.

on the flipside, watching people chuck orym and ashton under the bus any time one of them did/does something that they took personal offense to is so odd it loops around to being funny. double if they’re a delilah stan. like, who is worse for laudna? an abusive white supremacist-adjacent woman that tortured her nonstop for 30 years and tried to kill her thrice over the past month or two guys who act like selfish tunnel-visioned pricks to her intermittently? like you think that it’d be no contest, but a shocking amount of people choose the abusive woman because they headcanon her to be far more interesting than she really is and/or “at least we’re not forced to think she’s a good person!”

so. you've awakened the dormant single braincell dedicated purely to pokemon stuff. specifically with that one art for childe and zhongli (no surprises there). congration you done it. i thought it might be more considerate to collect my rambles into an ask here rather than leave a hefty tag ramble on a reblog so here i am, because i desperately need to talk to you about it- or at least ask,, no really i would love to talk about it more but that's very up to you

before anything else i want to let you know how much i internally screamed and cried that you gave childe a lantern. tears of joy. no jokes there. you're absolutely right it's perfect for him. also, it's been ages since i read pokespe especially gen 3 and 6 (if gen 6 is relevant? bc gen 3 remakes? my memory is too hazy so i have to include it just in case,, and beyond that i may not be caught up at all, as i haven't had the opportunity to play the games beyond gen 6 and so kinda fell out of stuff since then except for clinging to the stuff i already knew,,) so i need to reread those, but at least personality-wise the thought that struck me was... childe has some gold vibes?? is that. is that just me or. their general attitudes- i can't unsee it,, anyway, i also love the attention to detail with the pokeballs and alternate colour gigalith. thank you. if you apologised for pokemon nerd shining through, this pokemon nerd is rejoicing in what it sees. however dormant it may've been, pokemon was basically the thing that dominated my childhood interests so hahah,,, it's quite strong. also with the titles aside ace trainer and gentleman so true, so true indeed.

i too followed pokespe up till the start of gen5 and then kinda lost track of it, but since i'm a hoenn sucker i went back to read the oras chapters (for steven. it was all for steven). if you're wondering- i remember the story being quite decent? take it as an extra chapter for the rse arc, that's basically what it is. sadly nothing will ever top everything surrounding the first 3 regions + dpp (they get extra points for the giratina ordeal), but it was aight.

and you're absolutely right, childe has gold vibes. not an exact 1:1 but there's some things that are just too similar to overlook. alternatively, he's like an unholy mix of red and gold.

i honestly can't remember why i only gave them 5 each- i think in my mind 6 has always been far too many creatures, but 4 too little, so i always fall somewhere in the middle;; as for showdown,

that's where i planned the teams. that's literally where i went to sort thru all pokemon and pick and choose the ones that better fit. i'm a bit of a random team match enjoyer, never been one for building functional competitive teams but i do like playing so random has always been the go-to option.

if i had to give them a sixth slot, it'd probably be: for childe either a pawmot, luxray, or gengar. i feel like his team needs a bit more electric to honor his delusion beyond lanturn, or alternatively some poison or ghost to represent the Abyss. i'd also lowkey give him a nidoqueen, he seems like the kinda guy who'd have one. for zhongli it'd be either rhydon, tyrantrum, aggron, or maybe bastiodon? steel types would fit as steel comes from the earth, ultimately. claydol i could also sorta see, like some sort of living relic. if i allowed myself to pick from the starters, torterra (bc azhdaha). as a joke i'd give him drampa. i feel like almost no dragon types would fit and it lowkey frustrates me lmao for xiao i feel like another flying type would be overkill, so maybe something like an umbreon or a mightyena? he has an absol already, he'd absolutely have a mightyena. if not, then maybe a crobat? if childe has gold vibes then xiao most definitely has silver vibes, although i don't think he'd really mistreat his pokemon at all. i could also see him having an ariados or shedinja ngl for aether and lumine i gave them five bc eevee was like their childhood shared pokemon and then they sort of got matching duos, so they kind of share all five? but strictly speaking they're two different trainers. idk. if i had to give them like another shared pokemon, it'd be castform. or maybe something like a kecleon, sawsbuck, or togekiss. if we count them as separate trainers then i'd give them a pair of indeedee, to follow tradition with the meowstics and ralts line. that'd make it seven mons but it'd still be possible. i honestly don't have the brain rn for six for each tho lmao plus since they kinda share them i think they'd stop at seven. like three each to make six + eevee. if not then i lean towards castform. aether would dress it up like those images where the cloud bumps are boobs and lumine would hate him for it.

as for their battle performances, the twins would absolutely fight doubles. like you could catch them one on one but most of the time it'd be either both or neither. xiao and zhongli would be used to fighting doubles as team partners, but it wouldn't be like their main mode. i think both would've kinda gone their own ways and now fought singles, but wouldn't be against doubles on their own. childe would be singles all the way, OR triples, if only for the chaos. also childe would lowkey go into contests. i mean he has milotic, he kinda has to have been there at some point. maybe tonia wanted to see it so he agreed for his princess. or like- tonia was being bullied by mean girls for it and he decided he'd curbstomp them with a feebas.

i am not too fond of loud noises either. the train tracks are in the woods behind my house, so i think that helps dampen the sound.. you can mostly feel them. aah, i could imagine that being dangerous. i do hope so, it would be nice to live somewhere less reliant on cars.

i shall second you a second ask with many photos! if you think their names are cute, wait until you see them.... i would say gundam is extremely good (in general terms. some of them are not that great. i say that like i have watched many, i have not, my motivation has waned recently), but it is definitely an investment. 45 years worth of shows and movies.. and more every year! that is interesting, ours do not really scream much. i think they view my mom as their mom, which is why they are so attached to her.

Ahhh . . . yes, that would muffle them a bit, mine were right outside of my garden, so, it was always very close to me, it was the worst, I’m sure there are plenty of places you do not need a car in . . i live in one, at least.

My brain often wont let me consume new media, I try my hardest and it shuts me down ! I think is because I no longer have the capacity to like many new things outside of people . . . mental illness my beloathed. I love piracy so sometimes I will just download them from youtube and important them onto my Phone if they do not put a song I like up.

Aaaaaah is that so? It’s quite cute that we realised around the same time, isn���t it? You got jealous of that ? Interesting . . I’ll be sure to remember. I wonder . . . Day Eighteen: Repositioning #3

A quiet day, which was actually quite welcome and relaxing after several very busy days in Siem Reap. The sole point of today was getting a late afternoon flight from Cambodia to Laos, where I’ll be based in Luang Prabang for the next few days. And so, since I don’t have many photos from today to share, let me insert this one rather randomly. It was a lovely little shrine set up in a remote corner of my hotel in Siem Reap that I just happened to chance upon while heading to the restroom:

The week in Cambodia gave me time to reflect on how the things we take for granted are often not taken for granted by people in other parts of the world. My guides in Cambodia had either lived through the Khmer Rouge years or had parents who did. They seemed to take genocide of that sort almost in stride, as they took for granted having to go to the market every morning at dawn because they didn’t have refrigerators. I was asked, during a conversation about spirit houses, whether people have them in the US. How exactly do you explain that something so common in one country is all but non-existent in your own?

And then there were exchanges like this one I had yesterday on the boat ride into Tonle Sap Lake.

GUIDE: Do you like snake soup?

ME: I don’t know. I’ve never tried it. I’m not sure I’d like the idea of eating snake.

GUIDE: Oh, but it’s the best! Better than chicken!

ME: What kind of snakes do they use in snake soup?

GUIDE: Cobras, mostly.

ME: Really? They sell cobra meat at the market?

GUIDE: What? No, you catch the cobras yourself.

ME: Really?

GUIDE: It’s not hard, particularly at this time of year. In the rainy season, the cobras climb up into the tree. You knock them down with a stick and beat them to death.

ME: I’m not going to try that. [A PAUSE OF SEVERAL SECONDS.] Wait. You mean there might be cobras in those trees we’re seeing right now?

GUIDE: Probably.

ME: Good grief. I’m sort of glad you didn’t tell me that earlier.

GUIDE: Oh, if I’d have seen one, I would’ve told you. Don’t worry. Besides, it’s not the cobras you have to worry about. It’s the crocodiles. They also come up on land during the rainy season. People sometimes find them in their homes.

Mind you, all of this was said with the same tone of voice I might use to say, “People sometimes find flies in their home.”

And it got me thinking: cobras, crocodiles, and lotus everywhere. I’m almost five thousand miles from Egypt, and yet there are so many striking similarities, even down to the reverence given to ancestors.

The flight from Siem Reap to Luang Prabang was very fast and very smooth. It was a fairly large jet but only thirty passengers were on board, so I had an entire row to myself. (I was a bit nervous when I checked in and was told, “I’d give you a better seat in the front of the plane, but there are so few passengers today that we have to assign seats in such a way as to balance the weight.” Apparently, I was enough ballast for an entire row.)

I’d had both my Vietnam and Cambodia visas in advance, so Laos was the first country where I’d need to apply for a visa on arrival. I was a bit nervous about that, too, but it actually went very quickly, assembly-line style as you get passed from one station to the next.

I met my guide, Mr. Vong, outside the gate, and together we made the quick ride to the hotel. We decided that, since tomorrow would be quite a busy day, we’d delay witnessing the 5:00 a.m. alms-giving ceremony to the following day. So, I actually get to sleep in a bit tomorrow.

The hotel calls itself a “boutique” hotel, and it’s easy to see why. There are very few guests, but everything about the accommodations is really quite lovely. Mr. Vong gave me what looks like a terrific guide book on Luang Prabang, so I’m going to read part of that tonight. And when I need a change of pace, there’s another interesting feature in the room. American hotels have the Gideon Society; the local equivalent has placed this book in each room:

I was awake before six, so I got up and did a full yoga session before breakfast - felt great after eating so much yesterday! We had a nice breakfast and time to spare before Route Rap at 9am this morning.

Thirty minute shuttle to Portloe, was a tiny fishing village, but now a bit taken over but vacation rentals. Conservation laws preserve the character of the village. Mike, the professor/historian joined us again for the day - his family descended from here since the 1500s.

Most of the land we walked through today is part of the National Trust - land acquired by donations. It’s a charity/ non-profit. Many aristocrats after WWII couldn’t afford their estates, so they were often donated, and they’d be allowed to live in a wing. While some land is used for grazing, it’s mostly kept wild with access for hiking. Cale had told us this morning that much of the land is also designated as AOAB - Area of Outstanding Beauty, which puts restrictions on how land can be utilized (one third of Cornwall falls into that category).

It was great to have Mike along to talk about the history of the area. He recommended a book called “White Gold” - telling the story of a million people taken from these shores by Barbary pirates. What I hadn’t ever learned or considered, is that Cornwall has Gaelic ties much like Ireland and Scotland and is closely affiliated with the Brittany region of France, across the English Channel but closer than London! Like Scotland, there is a nationalist movement that seeks greater autonomy within the UK. Also like what we saw in Ireland and Scotland, the original language, Cornish in this case, had all but died but a revival is taking place and it now appears on road signs and is being taught in schools.

We hiked to a point called Nairs Head - during WWII, they built a fake city in order to lure the Germans into bombing there versus a real city. This area was heavily bombed before the Blitz, over 100 attacks here 1939-1940. Now the site of a 1950’s Cold War bunker, with an amazing view of the huge harbor.

The morning was a 4+ mile hike to Carne Beach where Joel had a table set up with snack, local ales and ciders for sampling. The day turned sunny, and actually HOT for the first time in weeks for us. I was hiking in a sleeveless shirt! The guides had talked about swimming at lunch, so I had packed my suit and towel in my pack. I went behind a rock to change, Jeff decided to swim in his boxers. We went out into the cold water with Mike, Perry and Cale. It was probably to coldest water I’d ever dove into, but super refreshing too. The waves were really awesome, the kind we like to dive into. But just a few dives and we were out of there! Mike does a cold water swim every day, so he stayed in longer.

We dried off, sampled some cider, changed our clothes and walked up to a restaurant above the beach for an awesome lunch, outside on the patio enjoying the day. Jeff and I sat with Mike and enjoyed swapping stories. He was very curious about what “work culture” and benefits are like in the US compared to the UK. He said Europeans look at the Britons as working too hard, and the Britons think of the US as working too hard. Interesting.

We walked another 3.5 miles down the coast, a smaller group of 8 as others opted to shuttle back after lunch. Beautiful scenery, with ups and downs. Once the trail brought us to a beautiful beach where no one was around - amazing!

As we approached Portscathos, there was a Coast Guard shack that has been converted to CoastWatch - manned by volunteers every day, mainly looking for wildlife. We also came upon the “Hidden Hut,” a cute bar / cafe over a secluded beach, which we learned had been a great outdoor hang out for many during COVID.

We ended in Portscathos at an adorable pub - Plume of Feathers, and had a round of Gin and Tonics before our 20 minute shuttle back to St Mawes.

I soaked in the tub for a bit, then we dressed warm for our Seafood BBQ on the patio overlooking the harbor. Gorgeous evening, with the moon rising. Food was bleh, but ambiance was over the top.

Sounds like the remnants of another hurricane are about to hit bringing rain and high winds to our trip once again, so our leaders are scrambling to ensure we can do a safe hike tomorrow … we’ll probably stay off the cliffs!

thoughts on YA:

so I have a friend who's been trying to get published on and off for some time with mostly frustration. 1. It seems like a lot of the books that get any oomf behind them are often part of different publishing competitions where you query your book but not to agents but to other published writers who pick the ones they want to "work with" basically its a big PR thing, think like American Idol but not at all televised, a chance to get a chance

you can also just query your book to real agents but thats 2. which is you only send in 10 pages and every time he sends it in they're like "oh we like the writing but MORE! has to happen" and they keep pushing him to both have not just a hook, not even just an event but to establish the totality of what will be happening in the book in the first 10 pages.

and I'm thinking about this because I picked up a book my Nephew has been reading to see whats up and the first bit I feel like I'm being info dumped on, I'm told the main character's 3 siblings names, ages, and jobs, our character is a prince, and about the queen, the court, the lands, we meet in person 4 characters, oh there's magic, but it's also problematic, you're on a boat and its just... very info dump and I keep thinking about my friend trying to write 10 pages where he can show off his main character before getting into the plot (time travel out of order romance) because you need to be grounded in the character to get invested in the story, and being told over and over "no we need time travel and the love interest right away!"

Part of me wants to think this is connected to the way attention spans are changing because of the glut and domination of short-form content and so you need to GRAB the person from the off if you want them to continue and keep going.

And I think this is doing a disservice to writers and readers - for me part of the appeal of reading fiction is the way the story develops. I don't really want to know what happens in advance, and to see how the author puts it together.

Also you don't just want something jellied in you all at once, like let's see where things go.

By the Poolside - Wanda Maximoff x fem!Reader

Today had really been a sweltering day. One of those days where you weren't called on a mission and the pool at the tower looked too tempting. When the situation allowed, you loved to sunbathe during the summer. Unfortunately it was your job that rarely allowed it, being a S.H.E.I.L.D. agent. Luckily, you took residence in the Avengers tower where, of course, Tony had to have a pool in place for everyone.

Sometimes you think he had it installed just to make his famous parties more fun, but who doesn't enjoy a nice cool swim from time to time.

As you laid in bed, the temptation continued to call out to you. Your skin buzzing to be outside. What could it hurt to relax the whole day? You got up in search of a good bathing suit that would assure the most sun exposure. Finding an almost revealing black strapless bikini would do, you shed your pajamas and grabbed a towel.

The sun was a lot stronger than you thought, having already began sweating before you finished applying your tanning lotion. Delicately you pulled your hair back into a tight ponytail and and twisted the length into a bun securing it in place.

"Good to see another face. I was starting to think I was all alone in the tower today."

Her voice caught you by surprise, obviously thinking the same, but had immediately comforted you knowing who it belonged to.

"I didn't take you for the sneaky type, Wands, but I guess there's a first for everything."

Wanda had been the object of your desire since you first laid eyes on her. She was visually stunning with her high cheekbones and full lips. Green eyes that practically bore into your soul every time they found your gaze. Her voice was borderline angelic to you, and her accent adorable.

Turning around to look at her caused you to quickly compose your growing desire. She was wearing an all white one piece swimsuit with a low dip in the back and a little cut out on her chest. You had never seen so much of her body before, it really took you by surprise. Wanda's usual fashion sense mostly consisted of t-shirts, pants, and a zip up jacket from time to time. Seeing her in something that hugged all of her curves the way it did, hit all new nerves in your body. You silently held back a groan at the sight.

"Considering I wasn't even trying to sneak up on you, really shows how good of an agent you must be Y/N." she looked you over with a smirk. All you did was give her a playful roll of your eyes.

"Well maybe you can make it up to me by putting some of this tanning lotion on my back. I'm not flexible enough to reach it myself." you gave her a little wiggle of your eyebrows that you doubt she saw as she didn't respond to your playful gesture.

"It's the least I could do." Wanda took the bottle from where it sat on the lounge chair. You watched closely as her nimble fingers gently squeezed the bottle to obtain as much as she thought was enough. Your eyes followed every single movement she made with her hands. Putting the bottle down, rubbing the lotion on her palms...

"I can't put any on your back if your front is facing me." Your face flushed, but you were willing to blame the heat as quickly as possible if need be. You turned your back to her and maneuvered yourself backwards to make it easier for her to apply.

You could've sworn your body almost failed you when you narrowly avoided whimpering when she placed her hands on your shoulder with the lotion that was way too cold for how Wan-...the sun made your skin feel. Her thin fingers worked your skin so slowly and professionally it was as if she took the care of your body more serious than you did. Her electric touch made chills a long term placement upon your arms. When she started to inch lower down your back you almost coughed when she slipped her hands under the band of your bikini top. You had been so enthralled with the young woman behind you that even simple ministrations sent sinful feelings between your legs. You silently thanked both Wanda and your attraction for the lack of thoughts in your mind. The redhead creating a lack of any thoughts or commands to enter just by existing. Certainly drawing a blank with every small touch and rub and dragging of fingers.

Your poor heart was bounding out of your chest as Wanda's fingers got awfully close to the sides of your breasts. Silly Wanda, that's all covered by bikini top, no need to apply lotion there. Controlling your breathing became harder and harder but eventually she moved away from your ribs and ventured to your lower back. A small part of your brain was thankful Wanda cared so much about sun exposure, because she was definitely taking her time and making sure every spot of your back was touched. You let your eyes fall closed for a brief moment until you felt her lean forward.

"Now it's time for you to do me." Wanda whispered very close to your ear, you felt every bit of her words on the shell. The shakiest breath fell from your lips at the abrupt closeness that you fully missed when she backed away to turn around.

It's like your brain was short circuiting at the entire exchange, no thoughts crossing your mind, just trying to find the motor skills so that you could return the offer back to Wanda. Amidst trying to squeeze out some of the lotion on your hand, your eyes caught sight of Wanda lowering her straps down her arms to give you better access to her back. She didn't have nearly as much skin exposed as you did, but the sun is a wrathful star and would fully take any opportunity to burn all those that bare themselves to it.

Your hands were shaking with desperation to attach themselves to her bare back. Any opportunity to touch your crush was enough experience to fuel the thoughts that would come later in the night when you wanted to wind down and imagine a future that may never come to fruition.

Finally your hands landed. You started at her shoulders just as she did you. Her skin was much softer than you expected. Even though she had been exposed to the sun, her back still felt unfairly cool under your touch. You focused on trying to move your hands as gracefully as Wanda had earlier. It must've worked since you heard Wanda let out the softest sigh at your movements, lulling her head to the side like you were rubbing sore muscles. When you thought you applied enough to her shoulders you worked your way down. You couldn't help but notice Wanda leaning her back into your touch, everywhere your hand hit. You also couldn't help slipping your fingers under the hem of her swimsuit, only to cover every inch in tanning lotion, you know...to help Wanda out. But whenever you did, she would shudder and let out a light sound, like she wanted you to hear but was concerned about it happening too often.

"That felt so relaxing, maybe I should make you give me back rubs regularly." Wanda was smirking again at you after she got up from your lounge chair. "You're very good with your hands."

That last comment made you choke. You could swear she was doing everything in her power to fluster you, but why? Could she be interested?

"I don't think it would take much to force me to rub you." Wanda's eyebrows shot up. Did you really just say that? "I- I-I mean rub your b-back or l-like your arms or something is what I meant." Nice save Y/N. You truly thought you saved that situation until Wanda suddenly busted with laughter. It wasn't that funny was it? She must've noticed your confused face cause she started walking up to you very slowly. She took your hand from your side and pulled you flush against herself, snaking her arms around the back of your neck.

"Won't take much for you to rub me, huh?" Oh you were really short circuiting now. Was she into you? Like...really into you? While you were struggling to take in what was happening, Wanda was leaning closer. The closer she got, the wider your eyes went. Her lips came so close to yours but stopped just short of the kiss you only thought of in your dreams.

"You're cute but I like you much better when you're nervous like this." Your brain was still malfunctioning. Not yet caught up to what was perspiring before you. Only one thing playing on repeat, "You think I'm cute?" Wanda giggled against your lips and tightened her hold around your neck finally bringing your lips together. The kiss could've knocked your legs from under you had you not already been leaning forward on Wanda. Her lips were soft and cold against your heated face. She smelled sweet like strawberries and banana boat.

You felt her start to pull away, so reluctantly you followed suit. Her arms remained wrapped around you.

"What do you think?"

Putting this under a readmore because its LONG:

Abbacchio: Something that isn’t over the top, but still a flare of drama.  Obviously, he has a love for the dark, macabre, and gothic.  Simple neutral colors are his favorite.

Bruno: He loves flowy outfits, with soft and interesting textures.  They look best blowing in the wind on his boat, and there’s an element of sex appeal, at the possibility of an accidental “slip” of skin.  He also has a thing for whites, and smaller patterns

Mista: He has expensive tastes, and likes to see avant garde pieces that push boundaries.  However, he also likes it when darling wears things they can dance in; Mista’s a man who appreciates function in an ensemble.  Also LOVES jewelry, and statement pieces with lots of metals.

Narancia: Cares very little about fashion, so he has a hard time articulating his tastes.  If he had to be specific, he’d probably either pick vintage or classic looks, because they most closely resemble what his mom used to wear.  He also likes bright, happy colors, so lots of neons and bold patterns.  Bonus if the fabrics are soft and fun to play with.  He gets fidgety.

Fugo: Minimalist, classical looks.  Simple clothing, but high quality that lasts a while.  Probably has a thing for the “librarian” style, or suits.  He hates athleisure and sweatpants out of the house- he thinks it's tacky. It’s also worth noting Fugo buys and wears silk pajamas, so he doesn’t even own sweatpants.

Trish: She has a deep love for France, and that extends to her style preferences.  A fan of the waifish style, and little black dresses.  Also likes sparkly, eye-catching outfits, as that’s what she wears while she performs.  She’s also the type to have costume changes, and might have darling do the same.  Outfits she’s able to tell a story with, or convey a theme are important too.

Giorno:  His fashion style has been developed from his modeling career, so he might have preferences for new upcoming indie brands, or brands he’s worked with before.  Obviously, his love for plants and animals extends to his fashion style, so he likes darling in flowery pastel dresses.  Also has a preference for gold over other metals.

Proscuitto: It’s a bit hard to pinpoint what he wants darling to wear, because it often depends on what darling looks like.  To put it simply, he likes outfits that flatter darlings body type, skin tone, hair and eye color etc.  Whatever darling looks like, however, he will make sure they look their best.  If he had to pin down one particular type, he likes clingy draped gowns that show of darling’s figure, but he’s flexible, and always experimenting with styles.  One thing darling’s clothes MUST BE, however, is well made.  Prosciutto will examine each piece with a magnifying class, and has incredibly high standards.  He also HATES fast fashion for many good reasons, so darling’s wardrobe will be 100% name brand, if not designer.

Pesci:  Pesci specifically avoided the fashion industry, and has no interest in telling darling what to wear, or how to dress.  If he had to pick, he thinks poofy dresses and shoulders are cute, and likes fun colors and prints, but honestly he’ll trust darling to pick their outfits themselves.

Formaggio: Loves sexy cutout dresses, see through materials-definitely prefers a “sexy” style.  He also has a thing for heels, the higher and thinner, the better.  If he had his way, darling would wear red bottom stilettos everyday. Also, sequins are cool, but no glue on glitter.  It always comes off so easily and gets everywhere, it's really annoying!

Illuso:  Has a deep love for the unusual, avant garde fashion.  Every outfit should have a message, he thinks, and will use this philosophy on darling. He likes finding indie newcomer brands, and unusual textures and shapes. Also, he has a thing for masks/face wear.  

Melone: Obviously prefers a nude partner, but he is surprisingly knowledgeable about fashion and style.  He will often consult color theory, and size/shape guides for darling, and dress based on that.  He does have a thing for different textures-leather, lace, tulle, etc.  He likes having an excuse to touch darling.  And obviously, has a thing for skin tight clothing, and cut outs. Also thinks hosiery is very classy and sexy, as well as high heels.

Ghiacchio:  Has a thing for “cute” styles: puffy sleeves, over-sized shirts, short skirts or shorts, boots and knee highs.  He likes cool colors, like white, blue, purple, green.  Also has a thing for stripes, he can’t explain it but he finds it adorable

Risotto: Another one who prefers to let darling choose their own outfits, only because he knows what it’s like when someone makes you dress how you don't want to. However, if darling insists, he does have preferences.  He likes blacks and pastels combined, he thinks they look pretty side by side.  He also prefers silver jewelry to gold, and has a thing for piercings.  Anything that accentuates Darling’s size difference (there’s no way you’re taller than Risotto) really gets him going.  Lacing, like a corset, is also very attractive to him, and boning/ shaping.

Doppio:  He likes anything innocent and cute.  Lovely pastels, soft textures, delicate lace.  Pleated skirts are also cute to him, as well as bows.  Also has a soft spot for the classic patterns: plaid, stripes, houndstooth, checkers...

Diavolo: on the rare occasion Diavolo might take one of his pet Darlings out, he’ll probably go the standard sexy route.  A red satin strapless mini dress, a floor length glittery black gown; won’t stand out among the crowd, but shows off his darling's body.  He likes low cut and backless dresses too, because he’s shallow.
