i know this is like. minus fourth world problems + autism, and maybe other fandoms have similar issues — i’ve never gone too deep into fandom spaces before and regret doing so — but. why are doctor who fans such incurable haters. i started watching in november after the specials aired and although i’ve been severely critical of certain unfortunate writing choices (as is my right. episodes that suck are… bad) i couldn’t fathom hating an entire series, an entire doctor’s/companion’s run let alone an entire showrunner’s tenure. you mean you can’t stand any of it??
it almost feels like… whenever i come across a person that loves to talk about nine and ten and donna and how much they loved wild blue yonder or w/e, they end up being a shallow moffat hater harping on about misogyny and one-dimensional women as if later series didn’t exist. whenever i find a fellow twelveclara understander who posts about missy and defends hell bent etc. suddenly i come across a post about how they hate rose? what could possibly compel you to dislike the character of rose tyler? i say this as somebody that isn’t a huge fan of tentoo. for more batshit examples saw a post along the lines of “don’t say you think tenmartha is interesting and then post about timepetals” like these are Characters bro. they’re not going to get sad. they are vehicles for the story they’re not people. tenrose was the carrier of the narrative in s2 and tenmartha in s3 and saying i enjoy the complexity of both of these relationships as they progress isn’t contradictory because that’s… the direction that the story takes????????
i don’t even hate chibnall era. even s11 has some redeemable bangers. what i mean is i fell in love with the show as a WHOLE . which means EVERY part of it is important to me and i don’t discount it. every next development builds on the previous. the timeless child ruined a lot of things but opened up many new avenues for exploration! i like the flux i like thasmin i like dhawan master i like the fugitive doctor i love dan and karvanista
you are all allergic to fun. sorry for getting mad about people getting mad it will (not) happen again. im going to go touch grass now

*Long Sigh*
TL;DR - Why do Tracy (Hailey) and Jesse (Jay) from Chicago PD get so much attention for no reason? What’s the matter with other characters/actors?
Listen guys, I get it. I understand. Y’all love Tracy and Jesse. But come on - one post on Instagram and I see it several times?
It isn’t right that I get more posts about Jesse, Tracy, Jay, Hailey or Upstead (and whatever their ship name is for their actors) in general than for things I actually care about in Chicago PD. I am glad they’re living life and having fun and being friends or whatever they decide but I just don’t understand the hype.
Shipping characters is great. Actors, alright, as long as it’s not pushed onto them or pressuring them in any way. But I mean… where’s the love for everyone else? I rarely see appreciation posts for Elias Koteas (Al), Jon Seda (Antonio), Patrick John Flueger (Adam), Marina Squerciati (Kim), LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin), Amy Morton (Trudy) or any of the other actors/characters aside from Jason Beghe/Hank Voight. Everything else under the Chicago PD tag is Jay/Hailey stuff…
I guess I’m just thinking it’s not fair that Jay/Hailey get all of this attention when we haven’t even gotten a gif set of the S11 finale with Hank and Al (except when I asked myself and @andgry4 made me a very beautiful one). But I had to ask!!! Everyone just cared about Tracy’s departure from the show and said it wasn’t enough when the whole episode was about her. :/
The show is about Hank and always has been. He’s the main character, period. How does everyone hate him? I love his complex character. Not to mention how much better and complex his character is than anyone in Chicago Fire. (Not bashing the actors, but the characters themselves.)
I personally never cared for Hailey and I understand loving one character a lot, but when Tracy/Jesse post something on Instagram, it’s a big thing? Why? Who cares? And why do I have to see it four times per day with 0 other posts about anything else PD under the Chicago PD tag? (The Instagram post wasn’t even about Chicago PD, they weren’t on set or anything, so why tag it that??)
I guess I’m just wondering what makes them so special over anyone else from the show? :/ It is obnoxious that so many people love them so much and “aren’t watching anymore” or are “finally free” because Tracy and Jesse left. If you didn’t like the show, why watch in the first place? I like Jon Seda, but I only watched one season of La Brea because it got kinda boring to me. I wasn’t “finally free” of it, I just stopped watching - simple as that. If you don’t like the show, quit watching. I don’t care who’s on it. It could be my favorite actor and yet if it wasn’t interesting, I wouldn’t watch it…
It’s incomprehensible to me why they’re so special when they’re not even on the show anymore anyways… I get the fanfics and don’t mind them. But things like this? One post on Instagram that they’re being friends? Crazy how much attention the fandom gives to this instead of anything else Chicago PD related. 🤷‍♀️

First off, big fan of your blog! I read it like a newspaper every day.
What I wanna know is, if the SPN revival ends up happening, what route do you see them taking where they don’t mess with the canon? I think it would’ve worked out fine had Jensen not ret-conned quite a bit with the prequel. Now what? Will TW be considered canon? Is it better to let Sam and Dean rest and just base the revival between 15x19 and 15x20 so the endgame is not impacted? Wanna hear your thoughts specifically.
Also, a lot has happened between SPN’s end and now, and a lot more will happen still before the revival takes place. Speaking in terms of J2 and their friendship and their dynamic, particularly post prequel gate, should we expect to see slight changes in the SamDean dynamic come the revival as well? It can’t possibly be the exact same as how we got used to seeing it s11-s15 with this domestic bliss, we-are-eachother’s-endgame bliss.
Thank you friend.
The Winchesters was retconned to take place in an AU, so it is irrelevant to the main SPN-verse. Think how the Apocalypse World where Sam and Dean were never born has very little impact on the main SPN-verse. There is a pair of AU Sam and Dean running around in Brazil but again, no impact in the main SPN-verse.  So while TW is canon, it is entirely separate from our SPN.
Jared seem to like the idea that 5 years passed between 15x19 and 15x20 so I think there is a fair chance the revival could take place during those 5 years, Since Jared actually looks younger now than he did in season 15, then it can work.  (Sidenote: Jared started out looking normal in season 15 but midway through he trained for the marathon and gave himself the gaunt "runner face" that significantly aged him in appearance.)
With Jack remaking heaven and keeping the angels away from earth and Rowena keeping demons away from the Winchesters, the brothers’ hunts return to the simpler days of monster hunting and explore new urban myths.
During these so-called simple monster hunts, Sam and Dean could go deeper into dealing their personal issues, which will draw them even closer leading up to the fateful Barn Scene day. Among the drama I would like to see closure to unresolved arcs, like what happened to Sam power?   Where are all the demons that Dean made during his apprenticeship as hell’s torturer?   Belphagore opened up that opportunity in season 15, which we also saw clues that not all demons are going to follow Rowena. Then we can have queen Rowena seeking help from the Winchesters to wrangle wayward demons either back into hell or into the Empty.
I expect we will still see the same Sam and Dean dynamic. First, based on the first and second convention after the prequel mess, the J2 magic was still there. Think of the times you haven't seen friends or family members for years and as soon as you re-connect, you immediately fell back into the old dynamics out of habit. Second, Hollywood is like an endless high school.  You may not have liked your high school but you find yourself going to every reunion because nobody else in the world know what you’ve experienced other than your classmates even if you hated them back in the day.  Many deep and casual relationships are based on shared experiences rather than actual compatibility.

it always bothered me that in the show, when dean learns that sam kept the amulet at the end of s11, he didn’t immediately put it back on—esp since from what i heard, that was an actor preference, not a storytelling one!!! (the samulet chipped his teeth ☹️)
anyway i wanna imagine that in your time travel au it doesn’t happen like that 🥹 it takes es dean five days to notice that his older self isn’t wearing it (in his defense, he’s not used to looking at himself from the outside!), and when he does it makes him so mad. and that’s what drives ls dean to - out loud - say that yeah, he wishes like hell he had it, but he doesn’t, okay? what do you want me to do here, kid??….. cue older sam like uh well i mean hmm. do you mean that.
although now i’m thinking of es SAM being the one to notice, and he notices right away, but he doesn’t use at as a barb until all the little upsets boil over. oh man. that kills me too. poor kiddo. you don’t get to go to law school AND your loml brother threw away his wedding ring amulet.
anyway you don’t have to do anything with any of this!! just thank you for letting me play in your sandbox!!!!
hello!!!
YESYESYES!!!!
this ask made me start BARKING. let's discuss!
for those who didn't know--yes, the samulet leaving the show was a choice made by jensen because it split his lips a lot and eventually cracked his tooth. i can understand his choice to have it taken off of the character (as much as i simultaneously hate it) especially since it seems that it was chosen as a prop during preproduction of the show at random. they lost a lot of jewelry from S2-4 (i'm looking at you skull bracelet, ring, and jelly bracelet), but the amulet got an emotional backstory so it had a longer life on the show.
but as for ES/LS verse YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!
ES!Dean is so distracted by how fucking huge these guys are (LS!Sam cough cough bouncy tits cough), and how discombobulating everything suddenly is (1 lb laptops? cellphones that are a flat screen? TVs thinner than a DVD player? IPADS???) to notice immediately. and you're so right! he's used to the amulet being a mostly physical thing--a weight around his neck so familiar that he hardly notices it until it moves--so not seeing it visually doesn't register.
but when he does, he's mostly confused at first. where is it? do we not wear it every day now? why not? we didn't fucking lose it, did we? did it get destroyed? i would know immediately if it fell off, so it didn't do that. hell, i don't even take it off in the shower, where the fuck is it? seriously, dude, look at me, what the fuck did you do to it?
LS!Sam gets more and more uncomfortable, because he's probably the only one at the table that knows it's not buried deep in a landfill in some random state. but he's not sure how dean will react to the fact that sam's kept it all these years, that he got on his hands and knees in a motel room and dug it out of the trash, wiped cold, damp coffee grounds off the pendant, and put it in his pocket with fingers that shook.
then, as you wrote so in character it made my teeth hurt (!!!!), LS!Dean snaps. i don't fucking have it. i threw it away, and i wish like hell i didn't, but it's gone. what do you want me to do here, kid?
and AHHHH!!! you are so right!!! LS!Sam goes fucking rigid like uhhhhhhhhhh...on a scale of 1 to 10 how much did you mean that be so serious rn 🥺 like hmm. well. hmm. let's say for argument's sake...🥺 👉 👈 ...
ES!Sam notices IMMEDIATELY that LS!Dean isn't wearing it, and it's one of the main reasons he's positive the LS!Boys are some kind of demon/shifter/ghoul/trick. because if this was actually dean, he'd have the amulet.
LS!Dean notices ES!Sam glaring daggers at his sternum, the spot where it used to be, as LS!Sam does all the usual tests and tries to calmly explain what's going on. he feels even more guilty as hell, whether or not he knows LS!Sam still has it yet. he crosses his arms over his chest and stares back, not quite able to muster the heat of a proper glare.
it breaks his fucking heart a little, because yeah, it is a betrayal, isn't it? even if his body is copy-able, or mutable, or not able to be trusted, sam should be able to trust a landmark that dean disposed.
but when ES!Sam finds out what exactly happened to the amulet?? oh lord. complete and total meltdown to be frank. "you don’t get to go to law school AND your loml brother threw away his wedding ring amulet." KNOCKED ME OUTTTTTT
because literally!! not only does sam not get a normal life or a nice job or an apartment that's not a windowless bomb shelter but he and his brotherwife got DIVORCED????? he's all but shaking LS!Sam back and forth like WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU???? HOW DID YOU FUCK IT UP THIS BAD??
no one tell ES!Sam that he and dean found out they were soulmates and dean threw his wedding ring necklace out on the same day. he will knock a hole into the bunker wall just so he can jump out of it.
on a more serious note, it is very much "not only are we still on dad's insane revenge mission," *points furiously at LS!Dean* "we're apparently not even a goddamn team anymore!" his voice cracks "can we even stand each other? are we still brothers?"
your characterizations for them were so spot on!!!!! canon to me!!!! this ask is a beautiful painting--babygirl (gender neutral) this is OUR sandbox!
thank you for this lovely & insightful & incredibly written ask anon!

While Rick, Shane and Hershel brought Daryl inside for stitches, you returned to your tent to check on Hunter.
“I’m coming in.” You spoke, slowly unzipping the tent.
Hunter appeared to relax as soon as he saw your face. “The monsters?”
“No monsters. It’s safe to come out.”
Hunter nodded, climbing out of the tent as Lori approached.
“I went through some of Carl’s stuff. He’s already grown out of these.” She trailed off.
“Thank you.” You took the clothes from Lori with a smile before turning to Hunter. “Why don’t we go ask Hershel if you can wash up in the house?”
You brought Hunter inside the farmhouse, heading towards an upstairs bedroom where you heard Rick, Shane, Daryl and Hershel talking. When you entered the room, the chatter stopped.
“I’m sorry to interrupt, but do you mind if Hunter washes up?” You asked.
Hershel looked to Rick. “She found him alone out there when she was looking for Sophia.”
Hunter poked his head in the room and Hershel’s momentary annoyance faded away. “Of course.”
Before you left, your eyes landed on Daryl. “How are you feeling?”
“Like I’ve been shot in the head.” He mumbled.
You noticed a bandage around his waist, a wound you’d missed in the chaos earlier. Not wanting to press him for answers he’d likely given Rick already, you smiled and ushered Hunter towards the bathroom.
“I’ll be here waiting for you.” You smiled, handing him the clothes.
Hunter smiled back. “Thank you.”
As you waited for Hunter, Lori made her way inside and sat on the floor across from you. It wasn’t long before Rick and Shane exited the bedroom, closing the door behind them.
Rick looked between you and Lori. “He’ll be alright.”
“I hate to say it, but I’m with Hershel on this one.” Shane spoke. “We can’t keep going out there, not after this.”
Rick stopped, turning to face Shane. “You’d quit now? Daryl just risked his life to bring back the first solid evidence we’ve had.”
“That is one way to look at it.” Shane shrugged. “The way I see it, Daryl almost died today for a doll.”
“Yeah, I know how you see it.” Rick responded, his words dripping with venom. “What about the kid's parents?”
You shrugged, lowering your voice to a whisper. “Honestly, from what he told me, it sounds like they’re gone. I just hoped we’d find them out there and I’d be wrong.”
Rick gave Shane one last glare before kissing Lori and storming off.
“I’m not trying to be a hard case, just being realistic.” Shane spoke up. “He’s gotta start making the tough calls. You two know I’m right.”
“I may not agree with all of his choices, but I respect him.” Lori responded. “Your way isn’t harder. It’s the easiest thing in the world to cut our losses and to not help. You keep telling yourself you’re making the tough calls. You’re really just trying-”
The bathroom door swung open and Hunter stepped out.
“I’m all done.” He smiled.
You smiled back. “Good job, kiddo.”
The two of you left the hallway, the mumbled chatter of Shane and Lori slowly fading out.
Evening had arrived as you’d spent most of the afternoon getting Hunter settled. Maggie was kind enough to offer a pillow and some blankets for him, since you didn’t have an extra sleeping bag.
He hadn’t talked much, still unsure of his new surroundings. When you gave him one of Carl’s comics to borrow, his face had lit up for a moment. He spent a while quietly reading while you helped finish dinner.
You were now all sat in the dining room, multiple tables filling out the room. Most of the meal was quiet, spent in awkward silence. After the events of today, everyone could feel that Hershel was more on edge than usual.
Glenn cleared his throat. “Does anybody know how to play guitar? Dale found a cool one.”
Hershel and Patricia shared uneasy glances.
“Somebody’s got to know how to play.”
“Otis did.” Patricia spoke.
Heshel nodded. “He was very good too.”
Silence fell over the group once more so it didn’t take much for most people to notice the crinkled sound of paper and Glenn and Maggie passed notes back and forth. You couldn’t help but smile watching them.
After dinner, you decided to check in on Daryl. He was still resting in one of the bedrooms.
You softly knocked on the door, not wanting to disturb him if he’d fallen asleep. As you cracked it open, Daryl had turned his head to look at you.
“Feeling any less like you’ve been shot in the head today?” You asked.
Daryl scoffed, rolling back over. “Not really.”
You walked over to the other side of the bed. “What even happened out there?”
“Stupid horse knocked me off a ledge.” Daryl grumbled. “Found Sophia’s doll in the water.”
“Shane wants us to stop looking for her.” You whispered, sitting down on the bed.
Daryl looked up at you, confused. “Why?”
“He doesn’t think it’s worth it anymore. I guess he thinks she’s dead and we’re chasing a ghost.” You shrugged. “After today, what do you think?”
“I think that little girl is still out there.”
You nodded, standing up and finally noticing the food on his nightstand. It was completely untouched and you knew Carol brought it up a while ago.
“Eat something.” You spoke, heading out of the room.
The next morning, Daryl was back in his tent and Carl was mostly recovered. You and Lori had taken him and Hunter to the chicken coop earlier, letting them feed and play with the chicks. Hunter was already much happier with someone his age to play with.
After finding out that Carl had stolen a gun from the RV, Lori had reluctantly agreed to allow Carl to join the others for gun training. You all wanted Carl to remain a child but you also knew he needed to learn how to be safe. Things weren’t going back to normal anytime soon, if ever.
It made you think about Hunter. If you were being entirely honest, you’d never given much thought to having a child. With how demanding your job had been, having to care for another small human was out of the question for you. In this new world, it was even more terrifying. You weren’t his mother but you knew you were responsible for him and his safety now. Hunter was still timid, so you knew teaching him about guns right now wasn’t the best idea. You also knew you’d have to soon and that was hard for you to accept.
The rest of the day had been spent cleaning up around camp, as almost everyone else was off doing their own things elsewhere. You’d quietly checked on Daryl a few times, who had been sleeping off his injuries in his tent. With such a peaceful day, you had not expected the news you’d receive the following morning.
Your group was gathered around eating breakfast, eggs in which Maggie had delivered to you earlier, when Glenn cleared his throat.
“The barn is full of walkers.”
The sound of cutlery dinging against plates stopped abruptly, everyone focusing their gazes on him.
“Excuse me?” You asked, hoping you’d heard him wrong.
Glenn glanced over at the farmhouse porch, Maggie watching him from a distance. “I said the barn is full of walkers.”
Shane stood up in a rush, heading straight for the barn as you all followed close behind. Hunter ran to you, grabbing your hand tight. The barn doors had a small hole between them, Shane peeking inside. Suddenly, the hand of a walker shot out, making him jump backwards.
“You cannot tell me you’re alright with this.” Shane grumbled, walking towards Rick.
“No I’m not, but we are guests here. This isn’t our land.”
“This is our lives, man!”
“Lower your voice.” Glenn spoke nervously.
“We can’t just sweep this under the rug.” Andrea spoke up.
“This isn’t right.” You mumbled. “What happens if they break out? We sleep out here. We don’t have a big fancy house to shield us.”
“Okay, we’ve either got to go in there, we’ve gotta make things right or we’ve just got to go.” Shane said. “We’ve been talking about Fort Benning for a long time-”
“We can’t go.” Rick cut him off.
“Why, Rick? Why?”
“Because my daughter’s still out there.” Carol chimed in.
“Okay.” Shane huffed, covering his mouth for a moment. “I think it’s time that we all start to just consider the other possibility.”
“We’re not leaving Sophia behind.” Rick argued.
“We’re close to finding this girl!” Daryl spoke. “I just found her damn doll two days ago.”
“You found her doll, Daryl.” Shane replied. “That’s what you did. You found a doll.”
Daryl’s face turned red. “You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“Shane, you’ve been eager to stop looking for her for the last few days.” You hissed. “There’s always a new excuse for you to try and cut and run, but you’re really just heartless.”
Everyone glanced at you in shock, and you could see the hurt on Shane’s face for a moment. Then, it turned right back to anger.
“Look, I’m just saying what needs to be said here.” Shane snapped. “If you get a good lead, it’s in the first forty-eight hours.”
“Shane stop!” Rick yelled.
“Let me tell you something else, man.” Shane continued. “If she was alive out there and saw you coming all methed out with your buck knife and your geek ears around your neck, she would run in the other direction.”
Daryl had had enough, launching forward and swinging at Shane. Rick jumped between the men as Shane moved towards Daryl, the two continuing to yell back and forth.
“Back off!” Rick yelled, pushing Shane back.
Shane pointed a finger at Rick. “Keep your hands off me.”
“Let me talk to Hershel.” Rick pleaded. “Let me figure this out.”
“What are you gonna figure out, man?” Shane snarled back.
“If we’re gonna stay, if we’re gonna clear this barn, I have to talk him into it. This is his land.”
“Hershel sees those things in there as people. Sick people, his wife and his stepson.” Dale spoke up.
“You knew about this?” You asked.
Dale nodded. “Yesterday I talked to Hershel.”
“And you waited the night to tell us?” Shane asked.
“I thought we could survive one more night. We did.” Dale replied. “I was waiting ‘till this morning to say something but Glenn wanted to be the one.”
“The man is crazy, Rick, if Hershel thinks those things are alive.”
The barn doors began to rattle because of all of the commotion from your group. Everyone stepped back, preparing for the worst.
“Please, just let me talk to him.” Rick spoke.
“You better convince him fast.” You responded. “I don’t think any of us can sleep easy now knowing there’s a ticking time bomb next to us.”

AN: Here we are with another chapter! I'm sorry this one took so long (again), I got some bad writers block halfway through. I decided to make a portion of this one filling in the gaps before we got to the big part leading into the plot for next chapter. I hope you all are continuing to enjoy this series as much as I am! Please remember to like and/or reblog and share your thoughts <3

has anyone else noticed how reactions and consensus on 13 has been RETROACTIVELY negative? I know there's been an intensely misogynistic hate campaign since Jodie was announced but I also noticed that when you look at old posts from when s11 especially was freshly aired, there was a lot more good faith engagement with the show and genuine excitement in fandom. It seems like covid gave the bad faith actors the opportunity to take over fandom and force their narratives on everyone.
Yeah a really great example of this is if you look back to tweets from the night Rosa aired the praise was very very high, now if you bring it up in the fandom you would think it was terrible and racist.
On YouTube I was told the writers, both of them Chibs and Malorie Blackman were incompetent because they doesn’t show how bad the racism really was, yet the episode starts with one of our companions being physically assaulted and told to be careful so not to end up like Emmett Till, some one who had just been murdered acting as if the show was sugar coating what life was like back then. Oh and of course with the Chibs slander that he’s racist because he may have hired a woman of colour to write the script, but she is English not American and he should have made sure it was an American or not done the episode at all
Malorie Blackman is an award winning author claiming she’s an incompetent writer is pretty incredible accusation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s some of the tweets from articles praising the episode.
I think 2 things hurt 13 era who and they weren’t Chibs and Jodie. It was the unhinged toxicity the fandom constantly spewed and then even after things got praised as you said people would go back and nitpick to a level they never ever do with any other era and 2nd not having a big enough marketing budget and brand manger series 12 and 13 suffered most from this because the BBC did put the marketing money into series 11 even if they didn’t have a brand manager, and Chibs mentions this in the Radio Free Skaro podcast from last year that the BBC put a huge marking budget into series 11 but series 12 and 13 basically the budget was… you can only advertise on the BBC because there’s no money for anything else.
Rosa is just one example but there was a lot of praise for the work at the time of release and it’s quite possible general public viewers may have just stoped engaging on social after series 11 because they would then be piled on, and people in the online fandom knew they couldn’t go to social saying they loved an episode so they started picking it apart before putting their thoughts out there so they could be on trend with the haters who were gonna pile on if they didn’t fall in line.
Seriously if there’s ever a down fall to doctor who the ‘fans’ will be it because they would rather hate on the thing they supposedly love than love it. And ever era has its super questionable moments but if you bring them up for any other era you just being petty, or it isn’t that big of a deal, or ‘it’s of the time’ it’s just excuse after excuse.
I’ve seen people upset about the fact that RTD dead named Rose in the star beast, something very legitimate because now all the right wing idiots of the fandom use that name and the people who were upset get piled on if they say anything because they should be happy that RTD is trying to give them representation… but these same people when Chibs tried to give rep though a female doctor, or an episode like Rosa or Ryans disability, say Chibs is a right wing capitalist, sexist, racist, ablest, you don’t hear them saying hey he was really trying by getting people of colour to write their stories, by getting directors with the same heritage to direct episodes, he work with a dyspraxia organisation to help write Ryan, brought in the first 2 female Doctors and the 1st Doctor of colour who was also a woman, the 1st master of colour, the first Doctor who admitted to having feeling for a companion of the same sex and the episode where the doctor admits those feeling is co written with a queer woman, oh no Chibs gets no grace for tryi neg he did everything wrong but RTD everyone should be thankful for.
I don’t understand the level of hate. Not liking something is one thing but a part of this fandom has made 13 era who seem like the anti christ of Doctor Who, when really it tried a lot harder to involve more people in it then ever before.

How would you rank the seasons of TXF from first to worst. I know canon ends for you at S8 so you don’t have to include the other seasons if you don’t want to. Mine ranking goes like this (first to worst)
3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 7, 2, 1, 11, 9, 10
Hot take (kind of) = S10 and S11 are not canon… I hate what CC did to the mythology, William, breaking up M and S, etc…
Extremely hot take: IWTB > FTF. I have reasons but I’m not going to get into that right now
I have four answers for this: the seasons ranked by mytharc, the seasons ranked by MOTW, the seasons ranked by quality, and the seasons ranked by favorites.
(Beware: I flame all garbage herein, including my own. ...And there are bound to be typos-- will ghost edit later~.)
Breaking down each season by its characteristics, two main strengths stand out: their narrative or MOTW focus. Each season plays more heavily with one facet than the other (except Seasons 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8, which blends them to varying degrees of success.)
In order of consistent theme-- if not, at times, quality:
The Narratively Strong Seasons: Fight the Future, Season 8 (I know, hear me out), Season 6, Season 3, Season 2, Season 4, and Season 9. Each entry is held together by the backbone of one (or several interconnecting) ideas: Fight the Future quite literally functions around the mytharc, and is stronger for it; Season 8 punctuates almost every. single. episode. with one or more characters trying to either find Mulder or the answers to his disappearance; Season 6 rides the coattails of FTF as the leads find a mytharc resolution and begin to iron out the wrinkles in their personal relationship; Season 2 never forgets the duo's loss of the files and Scully's abduction, peppering his and her struggles into most of the episodes; Season 3 mostly deals with the Scully's abduction memories, Melissa's death, and the unfolding mytharc; Season 4 is half cancer arc and half well-written filler, only returning to the main theme here or there; and Season 9 supposedly follows cop-style casefiles and Scully's single motherhood (but is really about Scully weeping on and off while events just happen to justify the next surprise twist.)
The MOTW Seasons: Season 1, Season 5, Season 7, Season 9, Season 11, IWTB, and Season 10. Each season is punctuated by its monsters rather than its mytharc, with the latter taking a backseat to the former. Season 1 is the epitome of the MOTW formula, saving mytharc for a whiff here and there but mainly focusing on the monsters always around; Season 5 is chockful of cryptid excellence and mid-to-fleeting mytharc narrative impact; Season 7 pulls its head above water with each good MOTW episode; Season 9 would be solid if Scully's characterization hadn't been so heavily butchered; Season 11 is iffy on the quality of its characterization and its casefiles; IWTB is appalling in MOTW quality; and Season 10 is the worst, with very little making sense, even in the MOTW moments.
Ranking the quality of each season is a hard and nuanced task. Because I am but a mere mortal with only so much time for contemplation, it's one I shall leave for the individual. Objectively-- the total quality of the product, not just one's favorite parts of it-- though, I think we can all agree that S1-S6 were the best, and that S7-S11's writing wheezed a long death rattle. While enjoyable in parts, perhaps even narratively satisfying at times, the latter's execution iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis bad.
Ranking My Favorite Seasons: Season 8, Season 6, Seasons 1/2, Fight the Future, Seasons 4/5, Season 3, Season 7; then descending order of the sloppily written (S9, S11, IWTB, and S10.) For the fun of it, I'm going to go a little more in-depth on my choices.
Season 8 is a HOT mess, and I won't even attempt to deny it. The MOTWS are mid and the mytharcs are worse. Its strengths, however, lie in how tightly wound the narrative is to Mulder's abduction, which forces the characters to introspect more openly on-screen. Which is great. ...However, the writers lose interest in that angle after Mulder's return; and jump right back into mytharcmytharcmytharc without taking a moment for Mulder to process his own trauma, as well. What separates Season 8 from Season 9 is its characterization: Scully and Mulder stand strong as themselves. While S9 Scully wilts and becomes a background character in her own narrative (which began in Essence-Existence, AHEM, ahem) and S9 Mulder breaks his character off the bat by leaving (even if Scully asked him to... which she wouldn't, given what happened in Essence), S8 Scully doesn't put up with anyone's condescension, making her own-- good and bad-- choices based on established personal work and growth; and S8 Mulder keeps the core of his character in tact-- regressively and progressively-- as he works through the fresh angle of abduction PTSD. We can track Scully's determination, fire, doubts, and fears exactly where Season 7 left off; and we can watch her stretch and grow as she's forced into Mulder's shoes-- so much so, that it's harder for her to walk away from the files to an extent, than her former partner. Meanwhile, DD came back to the season fresh from other acting jobs and injected Mulder's (neglected) trauma with as much nuance as he could. (The lack of exploration for Mulder's PTSD is, by far, the season's largest demerit; and that hinders-- read: butchers-- the finale two-parter because none of Mulder's actions and reactions are properly explained.) I thoroughly enjoy Doggett: his introduction as Kersh's operative and his journey to overcome his mistakes was one I would happily rewatch any day. He's a great character that the writers misused, too-- creating one-off, "going nowhere" episodes just to "explore" him more (which were wastes of screentime, by and large.) By far, his best moments were alongside Skinner (who he becomes tight with), Scully (who he advocates for), Mulder (who he keeps trying to understand), Kersh (who he loses respect for), and Monica (who is here-and-gone; but provides an interesting dynamic, nonetheless.) Skinner is gold in every scene (and that stays strong, no matter how badly written the seasons or movies are); Monica is okay, though not a strongly defined character; Kersh is perfect to hate.
Season 6 is great, great fun; but, unlike Season 7, it doesn't lose focus on what beats are important to maintain (and DD hadn't burnt out completely, so there's that.) My preferred cup of tea is MOTW over mytharc; and this season wraps up the latter decisively. (Perhaps that's factors in this decision.)
Seasons 1 and 2 are just wonderful; and, lo and behold! The mytharc is kept to a minimum-ish. Season 2 mostly revolves around the narrative of Mulder and Scully working through their issues on-screen (...and, now that I think of it, I'm beginning to see a pattern.)
FTF is spectacular, no notes.
Seasons 4 and 5 aren't a particular favorite-- angst isn't my preferred rewatch material-- but I do love their early (and one or two middle) MOTW episodes. I acknowledge, however, that the episodes are in these seasons are incredible; but, again, objectively great, subjectively eh. (Great fodder for analyses, though. ;)) )
Season 3 is so tightly knit to the mytharc that it falls into a greater "meh" category for me. (It's not incredibly satisfying when I know said mytharc falls apart, reinvents itself stupidly, then self-destructs only to reinvent itself even stupider. Over and over and over.)
Season 7 is the slapdash "we're almost done!" season. It has some great-- though cracked here-and-there-- moments; and Mulder and Scully had fun having fun. But the MOTW quality really suffers, and that's the bread and butter for this season. Not to mention the mytharc quality, which really suffers; and if not for the acting, S7 is narratively unsatisfying.
The Slop, as I shall call Seasons 9-11, are just so, so poorly handled. Most agree Season 9 has some great MOTW; but Scully's characterization is broken, and she becomes a sidekick to the Doggett and Monica Show instead of a lead on The X-Files. (I'll forever wish GA had stuck to her guns and not renewed a contract for Season 9; but CC kept asking her to, so, here we are.) I put this before Season 11 only because I haven't watched it (though I know each plot point in its entirety.) Season 11 is incredibly hit-and-miss. The good MOTWs always run into a snag that unravels the logic of the episode; and the bad MOTWs (and both mytharc episodes) are bad. Mulder and Scully haven't grown or progressed as characters, despite their age and relative experience-- in fact, they become less intelligent; and are given impossible abilities and impossible chances to escape death without proper explanation. (The main series put Mulder and Scully in impossible situations many a time; but always set up another logical factor or explanation to get them out of it. When they didn't, that was a pronounced failing, too. The main series, however, did not dim their established intelligence for plot-convenient reasons.) IWTB's MOTW is abysmal (my rants are here and here); and Mulder and Scully whiplash between in-character hesitations and mean-spirited unintelligence. Season 10 is by far the worst of the batch: no internal consistency, be it characterization, plot, or narrative follow-through. (You can find my rants under the Revival Reviler's first-time watch through hashtag.) A failure on all levels. Sidenote: but let me be clear-- if we compare Season 10's worst episode (one of the Struggles) to Season 11's worst episode (My Struggle IV), the faultier season for characterization would be 11, hands down, because it has a higher fall from grace.
Anyway! Those are my thoughts. :DDD Always open to change them if I hear better alternative reasoning~.

I was doing crafty bullshit today and put on 13’s era as background noise, as you do
And I, on my 4th rewatch of s11 ep2, realized that they mention the timeless child- like that plot line was PLANNED and I think that actually makes ppl who hate it even weirder (I’m sorry I don’t understand the hate- like nothing/very little has been done with it!)

About Lebanon….
First of all, I fucking hate the Winchester parents for the simple fact that they’re very bad at being parents. I’ve always found every version of them to be very inherently self-centred people.
Let’s look at the more obvious one first. John only ever lived for Mary, even after she died. Especially… after she died. He didn’t care what his actions did to his kids, he didn’t fucking think about the fact that his kids could very well die because of the danger he put them in again and again. I never saw him trading his soul for Dean’s as his way of “saving” Dean because he knew what was coming. Fuck, he TOLD Dean that he’d have to k*ll his brother, the one person that he’s spent his whole life protecting. How the hell is that “saving” him in any way??? I mean, I could go on forever with regards to what a bad father he was and why every molecule of me hates him. Moving on…
We don’t know a lot about pre-death and post-Dean Mary, right? We just know that she was someone Dean has pie eating memories with but Dean was fucking 4 years old. How much can a kid even remember from so far back? And the Mary that came back in S11 pissed me the fuck off. I understand that it’s verrrrry discombobulating for her but you’re telling me that a mother gets the chance to see her sons, who have been traumatised by life every second since her death, and she chooses to run away with a British psycho maniac???? And she tells Dean that she’s always “mom” but she never behaves like that...
To clarify. I 100% understand Mary and John as John’s love and Mary’s love. I understand them as individuals. I understand them as people grieving for the life they never had. But I will never ever understand them as Sam and Dean’s parents because they never took on those roles. Sam and Dean were the only parents and guardians and protectors that each other had.
Now to come to my point. Lebanon.
That episode is NOT John Winchester from S1. This is NOT the John that Sam and Dean grew up with. This is the John that Dean always wished he was. This is the John that would’ve been a loving father, who let his sons know that he loves them and cares about them and that he’d do anything to protect them. This is the John that Dean needed for closure. This is the John that Dean wishes Sam had. This is the John that says everything that Dean wishes the real John did. This is the John that never existed.
Gosh that episode broke my heart a little more for Sam and Dean. They’re literally each others souls, the light in each others life. S15 is not going to be fun for me at all.

any gallavich hcs you’d like to share?
Hi! Tysm this is such a fun ask🩵. I had to have a think before I answered it.
I’ve posted some before about Mickey bringing a stray dog home while Ian’s away and Ian becoming the “dad and the dog he didn’t want.”
And one about Mickey designing his own tattoos - I hc Mickey gets more tattoos post canon, and Ian gets one that Mickey designed tattooed on his chest (as an anniversary surprise). I think that’s more fitting than him getting Mickey’s name or anything. It would be one that’s related to them but not super obvious to people who don’t know them, but it’s a connection to Mickey either way. He has his artwork on his body.
ALSO I love the idea that Mickey gets a motorcycle post canon. (Hc he got inspired by the bikes that Lip fixed up in s11, and he’s like “that’s pretty cool actually.”) And Ian hates it initially because he’s like “motorcycles are so dangerous!!” Because he saw so many accidents while he was an EMT.
BUT then he sees Mickey drive it and he can’t deny that his husband looks unbelievably hot on the motorbike. So then he gets him all the clothes and stuff that ur supposed to wear and every time Mickey leaves to drive it Ian’s like “don’t go too fast!!”
I also like the idea that they make friends their age in their building and for the year they live there (imo they move back to the south side then) they’re able to actually have fun and go out and get drunk and reclaim a bit of the youth they lost, in a (relatively) safe and healthy way.

5 least favorite companions?
from better to worse
5. graham. honestly he was fine i guess i just went into s11 expecting more of a focus on ryan since they framed the season with him and his relationship to his grandmother and his struggles with dyspraxia, and it feels like the show chooses to focus on how grace’s loss affects graham and grahams storyline rather than ryan’s.
4. rose: (s1 rose this isn’t about you baby) s2 rose is just so fucking annoying to me. watching s2 honestly feels like her and ten are bullying me. like she had negative character growth and i don’t really feel they did anything interesting with it. and her appearances in s4 were so unecessary
3. nardole: didn’t like his vibe.
2. river song: i don’t feel i need to explain any further my issues with her. she’s just poorly written and her relationship with the doctor (which is the only thing she can be defined by) is boring to me
1. rory: I HATE THE WAY THAT YOU TALK I HATE THE WAY YOU WALK I EVEN HATE THE WAY YOU DRESS I HATE THE WAY YOU SNEAK DISS IF I CATCH FLIGHT ITS GON BE DIRECT

I don’t know how to articulate this better but Rowena MacLeod had the growth as a character that I wanted Mary Winchester to have. Like Rowena continuously dealt with the reality in front of her and tried to better herself in some aspect, but it always felt to me that Mary was so stuck trying to figure out how to accept that the reality she knew was gone that she couldn’t honestly get where she needed to be in order to have healthy relationships with her sons and the rest of their chosen family.
(This is gonna get a little ranty- buckle up kids!)
My witch queen had a ton of growth after Crowley’s death (RIP King, you absolutely deserve so much love), but even before he died she was seeking something more for her life to push herself forward. Mary, by contrast, is consistently pulled toward things of the past- she’s a spirit in her old house, she goes to a funeral for an old hunting friend, and at one point she outright chooses to stay in a memory of her past.
I really thought when S11 finale happened that Mary was going to be this absolute badass Mom who was going to help guide her adult kids as needed while still maintaining herself as a person, and I was honestly disappointed when it seemed as though she never really found her way out. And what’s worse is that because Dean is also sort of stuck because he put her on such a pedestal as a kid, you have to watch as he comes to this realization that the mother he remembers isn’t who she is now. And her trying to keep him from being who he is by not hunting is how he understands she’s not that person. So he has to watch her be stuck while figuring out how to unstick himself.
And then you have Rowena and Crowley, who both absolutely fuck each other up, but they are 100% straight with each other that they’re here for themselves, and in having that level of honesty give each other the agency to level up. Crowley grew to sacrifice himself for the greater good. Rowena ended up growing and learning from his death to ultimately do the same and take his former position. She takes the accountability for her mistakes.
I think the reason for this is actually because of who they were as mothers. Mary was the protector type (had to be because of the hunting) who was so desperate to make sure her kids didn’t grow up the way she did that she had no idea what to do when they didn’t need her (like helicopter parenting on steroids). Rowena was hella neglectful, absolutely. But she also showed Crowley magic and left him by a workhouse before abandoning him and in doing both she unknowingly made certain he could fend for himself without her.
And while Mary always cared about the boys, I find it so interesting that ultimately, Rowena grew because of the son she supposedly hated while Mary, who loved her sons, stayed stuck. I wanted to see Mary grow in that same way with her sons (and God knows I would sell an arm and a leg to see Rowena and Crowley become the badass mother son antihero duo I dreamed they could be.). But alas… It was not to be 😔

This thought ran through my mind today and I would like to know your thoughts on it:
So, if the law and order universe was like Grey’s Anatomy (I feel like everyone is dating/sleeping with everyone in that show) how would the pairing history be of the characters? 👀🫣💕
You don’t have to answer ofc 💕 and you choose which characters to include, as in you don’t have to bring in every single main/recurring character from the shows 😅🫣💕
Tumblr media
omg lolol! everyone *really is* sleeping together/dating on Greys, its fucking insane. (although, you work in one place long enough it's bound to happen anywhere.lol)
This will likely get long, so it's going under a cut. Also it will very likely get chaotic. There will be lots of ships, a variety of characters and lots of crossing over. don't hate me if your faved ship isn't here... I also will likely just list all the canon ones down at the bottom and not delve into hc's about them.
omg now i have to try and not forget anyone LOL. so we're gonna start at the beginning.
Starting with an obvious Alex Cabot x Olivia Benson:
these two had chemistry, they flirted, they had lingering looks and touches. They had some form of relationship over s2-5. They definitely slept together, and had a lot of conflicting emotions as they tried to figure things out. I'd like to think that they were dating and in the midst of talking about making things official/taking it to the next level right before Alex got shot. They had no choice but to end it to keep Alex safe and by the time she got back in s11, things were different, weird, Alex wasn't the same person she was before and wasn't in the same place. They do try and go on a couple of dates after Alex has settled, but it's more of a "lets get this friendship back on track" because woof the girls be *fighting*
Casey Novak x Elizabeth Donnelly
Tumblr media
it wasn't what either of them expected, when Casey transfers into SVU Liz is her direct supervisor. It's not *wrong* but it's also a little on the shady side when it comes to breaking the rules. Which is exactly what pulls them together more. I think Liz sees a lot of herself when she was a baby prosecutor in Casey. She wants to protect her, esp after Alex has been "killed". This is proven by not once, but TWICE Liz steps down from the bench to defend Casey in court. They're fiery, it's a mentor/men-tee relationship that likely spurred into a sexual one somewhere along the way. It's also VERY likely that Liz helped Casey figure out her sexuality. Liz was married before, but is in the age range that gay marriage was wrong when she was growing up. Casey we know was brought up very catholic. So homegirl doesn't even know what's going on in he head, and after Charlie, she's not sure she wants to date a man again. Liz helps her figure that shit out, and likely guides her through a couple of sexual experiences and they kinda keep things going from there on. THEN in s9 we obviously see the absolute demise of their relationship. I still believe that Casey only returned to the DA's office after hearing that Liz retired. BUT, Liz had her called before the bar to SAVE her career and license (as McCoy earlier said he would yank her license if she fucked up again in Blinded)
It was supposed to be/actually was more casual with Liz, but because she was Casey's mentor, Casey valued her opinion of her a lot higher than she would have otherwise. Their emotional side of their relationship was very foggy and lines scrambled because of that kinda thing, if that makes sense?
Casey Novak x Melinda Warner
definitely dated. Melinda wants to protect her girl, they're bad ass crime fighter, break a few rules to do what's right. There are a few cases/episodes where you can tell they're definitely hanging out. I like to think that it had pretty good potential, but they just figured they'd be better off as friends. And again, casey disappears after her suspension.
Elizabeth Donnelly x Lena Petrovsky
you cannot tell me these two have not fucked
Chester Lake & Casey Novak
these two didn't have anything happen sexually, but he was definitely crushing on her (can't blame him) and i think she accepted that dinner offer, but made it clear it was on a platonic base only. I think these two had such intertwined arcs across s9 that they definitely hung out a few times after work and I like to think that Casey goes to visit him in prison every couple of months (at one point i had a fic idea about that but i can't remember details now. LOL. maye it will return to me)
Dean Porter x Olivia Benson
While i don't think they actually ever managed to fuck. I really think they had the best chemistry out of all the toxic dick choices that were available to her.
Dana Lewis x Olivia Benson
They fucked your honour. Even Calvin knows they have "this your girlfriend?" like.... cmon...
Alex Cabot x Casey Novak
Tumblr media
the ever favourite and popular ship despite only having one episode together. Now, in the "real world" these two likely would have known each other prior to alex's death, they would've worked in the same building, same social circles, hell they would've been at school at the same time. They're technically sharing the da's office in s12/13. Which is the prime time for their relationship. Alex is back in NYC, she doesn't really know how to be herself, she's not sure if she can/wants to do the job that almost killed her. She's unsure of herself, on shaky legs persay. Casey's waiting out her suspension, unsure of what to do, and if it's worth it to keep fighting. They somehow run into each other and that's when it all starts. They're both lonely, a little lost, don't feel like themselves anymore kinda thing. They find solace in each other, comfort, a sense of belonging. This is one of my fave ships for Casey, because it truly does have amazing potential. They date, it's serious, likely living together. I think they stick it out when Alex goes to the congo, but when she leaves the da's office again to do vigilante shit, they break up. Not that Casey doesn't support her decisions, they just know they have to go their separate ways.
Rafael Barba x Rita Calhoun
Tumblr media
obviously they go on this list. They are a divorced couple who were never married. Whether they dated in college, or shortly after being back in NYC, it happened. Hell maybe it did actually get serious and that's why they know each other *so* well. But they just don't quite fit together long term. Rita spoils too much, Barba finds it overwhelming. (however when things open up to poly, I think they could definitely work) They remain really good friends and I'd honeslty believe they have a "50 and still single" pact kinda thing and are known to still hit each other up for sex because they know it's good and there's no annoying legwork of having to pick up someone new.
Rita Calhoun x Olivia Benson
Now, these two were never going to be endgame and EVERYONE knows it. It was never even a relationship. A couple nights here and there when they were both stressed and needed a relief. It's very likely far before Noah comes along, and Rita is very upfront about her views on children. It's more that they're friends who Olivia enjoys doing different things with that like, Cassidy won't do with her
Rafael Barba x Sonny Carisi
in the world where things make sense, Rafael would have likely been mentoring Carisi through his final year at law school, letting him sit second chair or do more help on the law side of case work with him. One ep of that was stupid, it shouldve been way more. I like to think that somewhere in one of those late nights, a couple glasses of scotch, there's admittance of "you know i don't actually hate you" "oh i know, you tease out of admiration" kinda thing that leads to a little more. I can see them actually dating, but I can also see it just being casual, cause Sonny still has heart eyes for amanda the entire time. Whatever they have going on obviously drops off the face of the earth when Barba leaves.
Rita Calhoun x Amanda Rollins
Tumblr media
now this one, is a handful of hook ups and nothing more. Amanda is too chaotic for Rita, their worlds also don't collide very well. Amanda's more likely to be found smoking in some dive bar and avoid the high end places that Rita likes. I like to think that this happens somewhere between Amanda x Nick, and early s17 when Amanda finds out she's pregnant. i DO also believe that Rita kinda keeps her under her wing a bit, encouraging her to cut off her family, let her know if she ever needs help with things (and of course amanda is too stubborn to ever ask for that) but in moments where like, kim has fucked her over, yet again. Amanda finds some anonymous donation and it's like, this unspoken thing between them because you also can't say no to Rita.
William Dodds x Olivia Benson
again, they fucked your honour. and even if there were never officially "dates" they would regularly use each other as plus ones to events that they had to go to for work.
Rafael Barba & Olivia Benson
it never happened, but i had to include it. It was a constant "will they wont they" likely even with money down on it from the squad. They deeply care for each other, love each other, but can never quite figure it out. They're also both so fucking stubborn and there are times when they both have sticks up their asses and hold grudges, neither ever willing to admit defeat or apologize and they know that wouldn't be a healthy relationship.
Rita Calhoun x Casey Novak
my beloved.
these two are a ship that i will die for. It's one of if not the most solid relationship Casey has ever had. They might be endgame. While there's a chance that they would have crossed paths earlier on, they don't really start to pay attention to each other until post suspension/alex leaving.
They might have a case against each other, Casey might be finding prosecution a little stale for herself now. She wants something more. She was so intertwined with alex before that now that she's off pursuing something more, she feels the need to do the same, even if it's within the legal world. Enter Rita, where she can learn about working defence, but not necessarily criminal defence, ya know?
They end up complimenting each other super well, it's the prime golden retriever x black cat, and the smol/tall vibes, which is always hilarious because casey has like, four inches on rita. So i see them in a long term serious relationship.
Kat Tamin x Pippa Cox
Pippa's nervous post hank bs, simply returning to NYC is hard enough, but she finds this solace in Kat. She wasn't around for the whole thing so she doesn't have the subconscious judgment that a lot of other people have. Kat's great with the kids, she's got lots of energy and she's absolutely going to *worship* pippa. Pippa's also likely going to wean her onto a healthier eating style cause Kat is known to crush two pizza's and a litre of pop for dinner kinda thing. Endgame material.
Peter Stone & Sonny Carisi
now, these two haven't directly hooked up. it's not Peter's style. BUT, they've definitely had a few threesomes together with another girl. there's no doubt in my mind.
Kat Tamin x Grace Muncy
Tumblr media
these two have hooked up. kat is a daddy. grace is a brat. it just works. they were probably casual fuck buddies/fwb's for a while.
Grace Muncy & Tonie Churlish
they've either hooked up, dated, or mutually pined for each other up until Grace left. I'm in the midst of rewatching Grace's eps so I'll get back to you. lol
Joe Velasco x Grace Muncy
Tumblr media
i'm not saying i ship it. I'm saying that these two have this teasing, bantery sibling ISH relationship, and they're likely each other's wingman's more often than not. BUT, there was probably at least one super drunk night that they don't really remember but they woke up together and basically never talk about it.
Samantha Maroun & Rita Calhoun
I can lowkey see a couple of dates here, but it ending up not leading any further than friends. They've both got really good style, Sam wears a lot of colour similar to rita, they probably shop together and i think they'd get along really well.
Honorable mention to Joe Velasco x Amanda Rollins
Tumblr media
because if they had met any earlier? they would've hooked up. even just once. they had good chemistry when they did meet and I could see it happening, but she was obvi already with Carisi
I know I must be missing a couple. And there's probably characters I've forgotten about, or not included in this, or just don't have any thoughts about. Also not including any canon ones cause we all know the canon ones. There's also LOTS of other "omg they'd be best fucking friends" that i skipped over cause this was more relationship based. (like, casey, dodds, carisi, kat and grace all have chaotic golden retriever vibes)
Could potentially see Grace x Bobby(?) from OC being a thing, but i can't remember if he's got a gf/wife or not because I clearly don't pay attention when I watch that show lol.
Thank you so much for this ask bestie!! I hope this wasn't too much detail LOL.
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the night thinking about svu x greys anatomy crossovers and who would've slept with who and that is going to be a fucking large list and I'm already thinkin it's a daunting idea LOL.

idk if you’ve already talked about this before… but what drew you to Debbie at first?
why is she your favorite character?
hmmmmmm good question- probably not a good answer tho😭
the basic answer to this would be that one of the first shameless scenes i ever stumbled upon was the “that is not a compliment debbie!” “from carl? totally is.” scene (from s5 when debbie cuts her hair), and i just thought she was funny and so when i started the show i was pretty captured by her.
however, i really see a lot of myself in debbie. like- to a scary extent, a lot of the things that she endured i also did and it kind of just gave me an understanding of her character (that sounds dumb but wtv). like i’ve struggled with having no friends, having abandonment issues, comphet, etc. and i just found her so interesting and realistic. she truly is a product of her environment, and maybe that’s a bad thing but it also makes her more real.
plus, debbie’s character is actually very interesting when you don’t have someone screaming in your ear, “I HATE DEBBIE SHE’S EVILLLL BURN HER RAHHHHHHHHHH”
overall i just think that she’s intelligent, complex, funny, and dramatic. shameless is a dramedy and debbie is the perfect mix of drama and comedy. her story is tragic but she’s funny and always manages to keep the drama coming. people are too harsh on her character and the fandom ended up literally ruining her character because john wells took people’s complaints and used them for s11 debbie.

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
All the time. I could easily leave an essay for a reply 🙈
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
Two Kisses.
And to be fair I told everyone how angsty it is and they all told me to post it on A03 (I did a poll) and well, I guess they weren’t expected THAT.
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Everything I write, besides Two Kisses, has a HE, the HAPPIEST, hmmm it would have to be either Hope or His Name was, Slave. Purely because they both have the boys going through a lot to get that happily ever after.
7. Do you write crossovers?
Not yet. Not sure if I would.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Have I ever 🤣 I just laugh because the hate is mostly idiot trolls or immature readers that didn’t understand what I was writing or read the tags.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Do I ever 😈😈 , I once wrote a fic where Mickey f*cks himself with his own d*ck sooo, not much is off limits. (Except 3 ways/orgies. No go!)
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
God, I hope not.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, I’ve had a few of my “fill in” s11 fics.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
With the wonderful @ms-moonlight-inn on our fic When You Call Unexpected
And I co-wrote The Ian to Mickey’s Cal, though the sequel I wrote by myself.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Tumblr media
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Oh I will. I have two sitting away that I know I’ll eventually post.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I’ve been told many times that my writing is like watching a movie.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Taking a small idea and making it much larger than it needs to be.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Don’t think I could trust myself to know it was accurate.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Gallavich!
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Nothing has resonated with me the way Gallavich has so no other ship has inspired me enough to want to write it.
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
That’s like asking someone to pick their favourite child. Or saying Cameron or Noel.
Hope has a very special place in my heart.
Obviously “When You Call Unexpected” for collab work
And I’m pretty proud of all the smut I wrote in OnlyFans
