I’m most popular for my analyses. I tend to throw out a few rants/interpretations/descriptions on unnoticed or misunderstood aspects of turtle iterations, mainly for the 2012 gang. These guys are extremely misunderstood creatures (See what I see TMNT).

I also do Incorrect TMNT Quotes for the fandom (incorrect tmnt quotes), Tumblr Turtle story clips (ImagionationStation’s Ficlets), I make Mini Music Videos (IS TMNT MMV), post some 2012 show moments and randomly compile a full episode from a single turtle’s POV (Show Clips), and I intend to document thoughts about other shows when I have the time to watch (Turtle Comparison Notes).

We're collectively known as the Symphony et al. Guild. We're 23 years old and collectively use any (she/he/they, go crazy) pronouns. We identify as a genderfluid lesbian and generally consider ourselves to be queer. We don't care for the specifics and may refer to ourselves as masculine, feminine, both, or neither interchangeably. Our gender is heavily influenced by our plurality.

We are diagnosed with several mental health disabilities, none of which are anybody's concern but mine. We don't do DNIs, they don't work. Take responsibility for your online experience. if you don't like us it's your responsibility to block us. Similarly, if we block you it's most likely nothing personal. We don't like to be annoyed. We're trigger happy with blocking.

We try to sign off on our individually written posts as often as possible, but our communication isn't great yet. We're frequently blurry or crowded in front, so please refer to tags if necessary! Each headmate has their own tag.

We vehemently support good faith labels, which includes non traumagenic systems. Radqueers are not a good faith sort. We are actually traumatized, queer, and mentally ill and we hate you specifically for attempting to normalize abuse. This is not up for debate.

We reject the traumagenic label for ourselves out of spite for gatekeeping. Telling other people what to call themselves, it just isn't very punk rock if you catch my drift. We generally don't respect folks who make hating others their entire personality.

We collectively experience a lot of memory related issues. We consistently lose and forget small details as well as major events. Names, dates, and time are all difficult for us to keep track of collectively. Please be patient with us, this is just as frustrating for us as it is for you.

Hello! This is a very important post to me, so please listen up!

I'm opening art requests! I've decided I'd like a chance to practice my art, and specifically drawing by hand, so most of my art will be done by hand before I take a picture of it to post!

Please read the whole of this post before requesting, because if your request violates any of my Will Not Draw points, I will just delete the request and not tell you. It's your responsibility to ensure your request is something I'll fulfill, not mine.

Notes for requests! (under cut!)

I probably won't be able to get to a whole lot of requests in a short amount of time, simply due to the fact that motivation is rare sometimes, and I'm just lucky to have a lot right now

The vast majority of requests will be done by hand! Like I said above, I need the practice, but sometimes I will do digital drawings

I WILL NOT TAKE ANONYMOUS REQUESTS!!! For starters, I need to know who to tag when I've finished a piece. If you're requesting for a sideblog, feel free to ask on anon, but please tag your sideblog so I can still tag you.

Some will be done in crayon lol. I just like crayon, it's fun. If you don't want it done in crayon, please specify that in your request

All skin will be done in marker (or digital, if you're lucky lol). I will post a chart of all my marker colours so you can specify the desired/correct skintone.

I don't know every character! Please specify where the character is from so I know who I'm drawing, and if one character has multiple possible appearances (eg. MLP's Luna & Nightmare Luna) please specify which version you want. If a character has no specified appearance in canon (eg. The Magnus Archives/Protocol, Welcome To Night Vale) I'm picking how they look. If possible, please include official art.

For fandom stuff: I will automatically put any fanart in the appropriate fandom tag. Please let me know if you don't want your requested art in the fandom tag.

Do not gift my art to another user. Just don't. If I ever open commissions, then that'd be fine, but requests will not be giftable.

Things I will not draw:

NSFW/NSFT. Not comfortable with that, plus it's not something I know how to draw anyways. Includes implied NSWF

In conjunction with above: nudity. Not that I'm uncomfortable with nudity, I just have trouble with anatomy

Fursonas. I just don't know how to draw anthro. When I learn, I'll probably make it an option though.

Most physical contact between characters. Just physically can't draw it. So no kissing, I can't do hugging from the side yet (hugging where you can see one character from behind should be fine though). Things like handholding, laying together, etc. are fine, they just might take longer.

More than 2 characters! This is to keep it fair to everyone, as that will take too long.

Characters shopping for white bread. White Bread Guy, I know you're out there, these requests are not for you. I can't draw bread ok. Nothing personal, I just actually can't draw bread.

Most MCYT. I don't really engage with MCYT a lot, so I'll only draw Hermitcraft and Empires people. BUT! I will not do any MCYT ship art, and I won't do the real people, just the characters.

Supernatural (tv show) and Good Omens (tv show). Just at all. Will draw Good Omens (book) stuff though.

Doctor Who's Thoschei (Doctor x Master) and Doctor x River Song ships. They hold a special place in my heart, so I'm not going to draw them for that reason. I will draw the characters interacting platonically (or as enemies, if you'd like, but that doesn't apply to Doctor x River Song) though, so you can still request them

Top Gun / Top Gun: Maverick. These movies also hold a special place in my heart. So I won't do ship art, but non-ship stuff is still ok! Just please include both real names and callsigns so I can make sure I remember who is who.

Gore/violence. Nope. Just nope. No gore, no violence, no graphic injuries. Specifically no broken limbs.

Real people, even if they're your friend. No, I won't even draw you. I will draw your self insert characters, though, because they count as OCs to me and therefore fall under OC rules.

Things I'm iffy about drawing (these will just take me a bit longer):

Animals. I'm not great at animals, so animal requests might take a bit longer.

Fandom ships. For the most part, SFW ship stuff is fine. But if I decide I'm not comfortable with a ship, when you request it I will give you a heads-up. For the most part, this shouldn't come up, but I know it's possible, so this is your official notice.

Doctor Who. I'm a bit protective of Doctor Who for some reason (it's something I hold really close to my heart), so I might be a bit iffy with it, meaning it might take longer for me to draw.

Vehicles. Not the best at vehicles either, so those might take longer.

Blood is fine, but as seen above, gore is a nope. However, drawings depicting blood will be tagged with the CW and TW tags, and will take me longer as well

In regards to the "No Fursonas" rule: I will still do characters with animal traits (ears, tails, wings, etc.), they just might take me longer. Also, wings will not be accurate. Might just take longer to draw if I have to look up the animal you want the features of

Disabilities. I will have to research the disability before I can draw it, so this will take longer, but I absolutely will try my best!

Original Characters (OCs). I will need a detailed description OR a reference sheet to draw your OC. I will not draw an OC without one of those things. If I draw your OC, you are allowed to use the drawing for a reference sheet, but I will ask that you credit me.

Detailed backgrounds. I can do small landscapes/backgrounds, but I struggle with rooms and perspective so those will take longer. Also, I won't put people in them, so I won't be able to do a complex background for your characters, only something simple.

This will be updated whenever I feel the need to, and whenever I decide to close requests (or if I re-open them after!)

the large majority of my eddsworld art and posts are about a headcanon AU. it recently got hard rebooted, so a lot of posts past 2022 aren't accurate anymore. my tadc art is also slowly developing into being about a headcanon AU, most likely focusing on gijinka designs, allthough I have no specifics for this AU yet. I just default to calling my fanart that so any “inaccuracies” with canon can be handwaved away 😋

Yeah it's sort of a mess I'm actively editing right now tbh, as I go through the midst of this Self-Realignment Ritual/Public facing Rebrand?

Its been a long time since I edited Tumblr themes so I'm doing a sloppy job of it. TBH I'd suggest people interested in my Homestuck content just use my blog as a link to the Apocryphon right now, since it's the most relevant and interesting thing I've done by far atm. Like I've said previously, I'd be happy if people just started talking about that with the #Pumpkin Path or #Pumpkin Track tag. As far as Im concerned, everything else on my blog ATM is a distraction.

Alternatively if they're looking for my analysis work, I'd suggest peeps try checking out my Medium profile. That was always where my best work was hosted; I never managed to port it all to Youtube practically and Tumblr just wasn't as good at letting me use images to supplement arguments.

I have major essays on Rose and Kanaya, Dave and Karkat, Jane Crocker and Gamzee Makara, Dirk Strider, the whole Active/Passive Class system, and Homestuck's influence from stuff like Gnosticism, The Neverending Story, and Earthbound/Mother 3 on there. Heck, there's even an essay or two on non-Homestuck subjects, like my ZEAL-published piece on BOKTAI: THE SUN IS IN YOUR HAND (2003) Of course there's also always the Youtube channel, and content should be getting started up again there relatively soon as well. By nature its also a bad idea to change branding too much on youtube, so fans of optimisticDuelist specifically can expect that house style to mostly stay the same, with maybe a surprise or two inside the framing of Youtube videos themselves (;3)

My tumblr is not exactly in a state for public consumption yet and I'm mostly using it as personal catharsis/to mess around and cope. I'm not even reblogging/posting much Homestuck, i seem to be defaulting to reblogging Boktai and other stuff like that instead atm! I don't expect that to change very much for the time being unless I start engaging with Pumpkin Path discussion or fanart, but that hasn't manifest on Tumblr basically at all yet.

General

Which characters/dynamics are you particularly interested in?

JJK �� literally all common ones unless they’re illegal, particularly the first years & gojo (including all the variations - itafushi, platonic!itafushikugi, the gojo-megumi thing, the gojo-itadori thing, and of course, the much less explored megumi-nobara thing). No very-rare-pairs please, unless 100% platonic! I usually don’t like them. Also, bear in mind I may have to google characters if they come from Kyoto school because I literally forgot all their names.

HQ – I like most characters, but am especially fond of iwaoi and bokuaka (sakuatsu at a push). I love all team dynamics, with a special soft spot for the JNT and Seijoh. Again, no rare pairs please (even platonic, in this case) but I will know who most characters are!

TGCF: fengqing. I’m obsessed with fengqing. And hualian, of course. Basically Xianle trio + Hua Cheng and all their dynamics.

My favourite character is Hua Cheng, followed by Feng Xin, and then – you’ll hate me for this – Pei Ming. Please bear in mind that if you write about any niche characters from tgcf, or those that only appear later in the books, I will not know who they are :( He Xuan is about my limit for late-appearing characters, and he does not appear very late.

Do you mind which ships I use?

Not at all, as long as they aren't a major rarepair, or use characters I've never heard of. If you're not sure, don't be worried - you can always just ask! Either DM me or drop an ask in my inbox.

Are there any examples of found family you could suggest?

Yep! JJK is 100% found family, so there's no issue there - the school dynamic, gojo's dynamic with the students (particularly megumi), the first years' dynamic, the second years' dynamic, the teachers/adults dynamic...

HQ also has plenty of examples. Each team dynamic, duo dynamic, and mentor/mentee dynamic offers something new!

TGCF is a little harder. Nearly all the ships have an element of found family, but there's the Xianle trio and, if you want to get a bit ridiculous, the calamities can also be pretty funny if you wrangle them properly...

I'd rather your not, but if you're only really comfortable with that, then go for it!

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?: i have multiple fics that end with major character death, so i would say definitely one of those 😂 if anyone is looking to get their heart broken like that, drop me a line and i'll rec them to you lmao. but i know off the top of my head i have multiple No Happy Ending Major Character Death Endings for Narcos and Mayans

7) What's a fic you wrote with the happiest ending?: oooo i know i write a lot of angst but i have a lot of fluff for all of my fandoms too. i think that one of my happiest fics is Just One Week. i feel like that's a generally fluffy fic from top to bottom with the exception of a few moments

8) Do you get hate on fics?: not really! i think it helps that these days i tend to write for smaller fandoms.

9) Do you write smut?: i do! for the longest time i didn't, or i'd try to avoid it like the plague. it's still not my strongest suit or necessarily my preference but i've gotten more comfortable writing it as time has gone on

10) Craziest crossover?: ohhhhh i gotta thank @ashlingiswriting for this one. i wrote a Narcos & Suicide Squad crossover and i think about it every day all the time. i also have some other crossovers in my head that haven't made it onto paper yet. but one day! 18) Thoughts on dialogue in another language?: i've written multiple fics that have dialogue in Spanish! it's fun and a bit of a challenge but i very much enjoy it. i have plans for an OC who also speaks in sign language along with English and Spanish. i think that's going to be more challenging as well but i look forward to it!

19) First fandom you wrote in?: back in my quizilla days (RIP to a legend) i was biiiiiig into writing bandfic. however, i'd say that once i hit got towards the end of middle school and really got into writing fanfic, my first fics were Marvel, followed by Kingsman a handful of years later!

20) Favorite fic you've ever written?: oh man. like trying to pick a favorite child! 😂 i do think that Just One Week is always going to be in my top fic rotation. Protective Detail is up there as well, along with really any of my Kingsman longfics on AO3 🥰

📌 Made a minor update to my pinned post; I removed the spreadsheet link since my buffer's running low and it'll be one less thing to worry about while I play catch-up. Also added a permanent ask game, mostly to give visitors / new followers a way to break the ice if they want to. I'll also add a link to this post to the pinned one.

🦷 I've moved my one Coco 'fic (That 4k contest entry I wrote September 2018) to the Anonymous collection. If you would still like the AO3 link, it's here (River Teeth). It's also currently available on my FFN.

🐶 Dog's Life Chapter 9 goes up on Tuesday, then Chapter 10 goes up on October 3rd. That's the last chapter of Session 1 and the 'fic will be on hiatus while I build the Session 2 buffer.

🎃 I expect to post a lot of short pieces in October; I'm giving myself a (tentative) monthly challenge so I can get rid of a bunch of WIPs without holding onto them for a year. Not committing to a full 31 days, but I've got a lot of little things that don't need to be masterpieces, so it should be a busy month. I'll probably do one announcement post each Friday instead of individual story announcements. Still very much playing this by ear and I might get busy IRL, but expect at least a few things.

I had a plan to post something Anti-Fairy related for Friday the 13th in October, but it's not playing nice with me so we'll see.

✍️ After October, I need to spend time rebuilding my 'fic buffers. I'd also like to update my table of contents tab and possibly the sideblog. In other words, expect a busy October for 'fic updates. November will probably be Traffic Season 5 drabbles and stuff (I'm guessing), and then we'll start winding down on 'fics during December and January. I'll probably post again in Feb or March; not sure yet.

🐾 A ton of Session 1 stuff I wrote for Dog's Life got bumped to Session 2 for pacing reasons, so I already have a lot done; I might start posting Session 2 as early as mid-November or early December, but stuff for Origin and Knots definitely needs polishing and will take longer. Not sure yet.

❤️ 2 months ago, I made a post talking about my ScarletPenguin pseud. That's the pseud where I keep any M works, and I wanted to explain how this works to people who may be unfamiliar (as I have a piece I'm working on that I'll probably post as M).

The majority of my content is Gen or T, so I'm using the pseud to keep my M stuff in a separate place [i.e. not immediately visible to people browsing my main page, because I mostly do children's show fanfics that ARE Gen and T, and I just feel better doing it like this].

I know DNI lists are annoying and pointless but whatever, if there's a chance it'll get people to leave me alone it's worth it. I shouldn't need to list obvious ones like terfs, transphobes, homophobes, all those assholes. But also, if you don't like one of my posts, I'd rather you block me and move on than hate reblog it. It's immature and annoying, and I won't hesitate to block people that do it.

Obviously I don't just mean "if you criticize something I post you're bad," I'm alright with criticism as long as it's respectful, but if you're gonna reblog just to say "look at this idiot" then fuck off.

Sorry about how aggressive that may have been but I don't wanna deal with stuff like that. I've dealt with it in the past and it sucks, if you don't like me, that's perfectly fine, but just block me and move on. Onto a more positive topic.. funny thing tho. I was a merthur. i came from THAT shore. i earned my first followers from that side. The merthur people i followed were all lovely and good at meta themselves. I used to bask in their good side (for like..2 weeks).

Moreover My most scathing fandom wank against merlin, arthur and merthur was when I SHIPPED the merthur dynamic. IMAGINE THAT. And yet MerThur (on it's own) almost made me drop this whole fandom thing altogether because I was so dissatisfied. I became so upset at that time because I already made this sideblog and put it lots of work and all. I didn't want to quit. But being MerThur-centric... everything felt dark, awful and hopeless to me (remember i still shipped the dynamic at this point in time). MerThur made me hate the show.

You know what brought me back? It was when I randomly thought of Merlin x Morgana in that one desperate night of being so frustrated with Arthur and Merlin and the whole romantisation of their dynamic. Yeah... you heard that right... MerGana made me reconsider quitting on fandoming for Adventures of Merlin. It made me finally enjoy the show properly in ways that were true to my nature. I even stopped criticizing arthur and merthur when I truly shifted to Merlin x Morgana.

I also understand your point about the anti-het shipping of it all. When I first entered the #MerGana tag all I saw were people only liking MerGana as if it's a sidenote to MorGwen and MerThur. Somehow those two dynamics always have to take more priority/importance because "Morgana is obviously Lesbian and Merlin is obviously Gay, we do not take any objections, everyone who disputes otherwise is wrong." There was also the whole "homo ships are much better anyway coz het ships are too forced. Bless them for not pairing everyone up heterosexually" kind of messaging in the #mergana tag posts too.

and fine! I acknowledged it. I don't like the whole premise of insisting on a fictitious character's sexuality based on headcanon but "to each their own" so they say. I blocked these guys. I ignored them. I filled up the tag with my own mergana. It was better to curate my feed and make my own stuff rather than cause trouble. It was more peaceful and healthier that way. Moreover being responsible for my own fandom experience is healthy behavior! I let it go.

At that time that some have already made posts disputing/rejecting my merlin-critical posts but that was fine because they were not bothering me yet. But once I got into the MerGana dynamic and Morgana (the character), these awful fans showed up on my work and dogpiled on me, called me names, called me slurs, announced to all their bajiliion followers that I don't have a place in fandom and that I should have a better take instead of focusing on Morgana and being honest about what i thought about Merlin (the character and the show). The Morgana-antis revealed their true colors to me in their full glory even when i kept away from them.

That was when I realized something. The situation was more than people being against het ships. It's more than people being so tunnel visionned on MerThur and MorGwen (tho this is a major part of it).

Most merlin fans hate Morgana with a passion and they let everyone know about it. They distrust anyone who focus Morgana especially in tandem with Merlin. They do not like that Morgana is Merlin's perfect mirror AND foil. They want to distance themselves from people who like the antagonist more or as much as and together with the protagonist. They 1) gatekeep, 2)they police fandom, 3)they think they own the goddamn tag even when they do not, 4)their followers support these tumblrs who use immature derogatory terms on other fans who do not share the same opinion as them.

It's a shame really that I was unfortunate enough to see the ugly sides of the pond for being myself, for doing fandom wank about the characters that I like (Merlin and Morgana :D)

It's eye opening you know? the kindest and most respectful people I met on the BBC Adventures of Merlin tumblr pond were the ones who loved and appreciated Morgana, those who shipped her with anyone they liked, those who appreciate her character and what the overall story tried to tell us. They, make me feel more freer and happier as a fandom person. They made me feel at home.

Howdy howdy, and thank you so much! It means a lot that you liked that post. You've probably already seen the My Analyses page, which is frightfully out of date. Anything that didn't make it onto that page will still have a my analysis tag. But yeahhhHhHh... tumblr's search function is.... yeah.

I know that, before I made this sideblog, I wrote a few ideas about Sans and Gaster on my main. It's still on the My Analyses page for lefthanded-sans, but I want to bring up Gaster Destroyed Himself with the SAVE Function in case you haven't seen that one yet.

Unfortunately, it's also been several years since I've analyzed Undertale, so I don't remember if I have other posts that discuss Sans + quantum mechanics. Going to the archive for the first year of this blog is where you're most likely to find things, I think.

I also was going to explore this idea in depth in a fanfiction, Reset or Resume. I had SUCH a long and COMPLICATED series of charts for how this story was to come together, and I was so excited for its epicness. Eheh. But I got tired and busy and never finished it, and instead of posting it with fanfare a chapter at a time as planned, shyly tossed the unfinished product all at once onto FFN at an obscure hour. I don't think I got to major quantum physics stuff, but I want to be helpful bringing up anything on the subject on the rare chance it helps you.

I do talk on the opening author's notes page on point #4 about a quantum physics inspo, but obviously, in many cases, creative writing details for flavor are going to be different than actually-thought-through-meta-theories (though I will say that if my characters make hyper-specific scientific references or name a paper author, that's probably referencing an actual article). Shoot, I'm sure I had story ideas that I never wrote down that were more meta...... hrmh.

If you have any posts that you've found or written, I'd be interested seeing those! This convo is re-sparking my interest in this area.

Lastly, I want to speak with humility to make sure people know the level to which they should be taking me "seriously." My college background was in linguistics and music. I enjoyed sciences in high school, but I am very, very clearly neither a hard sciences expert nor amateur, and shouldn't be taken as someone who knows or has any expertise on quantum mechanics.

@ts-replicated-au - A Sanders Sides Clone au that is the newest and most active of my au sideblogs. The entire story is told through the interactive nature of the blog, so it will not be crossposted to AO3 or reblogged in its entirety here (though I do sometimes reblog bits of it to my main to entice new readers, tagged as #ts replicated au if you want to filter it)

@sanders-sanctuary-au - A Sanders Sides Borrower au; the blog is technically not dead, but I haven’t posted there in quite awhile. The story itself is less interactive that Replicated, but the au is still pretty contained to that blog specifically.

@fanders-sanctuary-au - during the Sanctuary AU’s heyday, there were a lot of readers creating ocs who might live in the universe and submitting them to the blog; to keep things more organized, I created this sideblog specifically for oc submissions, making it technically a sideblog of a sideblog!

@ask-agent-sanders - askblog for the characters of my Sanders Sides Marvel AU. The story didn’t start out as 100% interactive like Replicated, and major fic installments are still posted on my main first (and then reblogged to the sideblog), the story has become more interactive as time has gone on. If my marvel au is something you like, following the sideblog will probably let you see more of it sooner than it’d be posted to my main.

@ask-the-tooth-and-claw-clan - askblog for the characters of my Sanders Sides story Tooth and Claw. Used mainly as a fun way to explore the characters and universe, plus it helped me write chapter 2 of the fic. Eventually I’ll probably use it to help me write the rest.

@until-the-sun-rises - This is a Sanders Sides zombie apocalypse au that I cowrite with my friend @buzz-by-bee. It’s a traditional fic style, but we decided to make a separate blog just for it since we’re cowriting it together. It’s been a long time since we updated it because life has been crazy busy, but just like all the other blogs here, it’s technically not a Dead AU, just on pause temporarily.

@paws-and-claws-au - This is another Sanders Sides collab, this time with my friend @thegremlinprince, but this blog is technically Dead. The most recent post there explains it in more detail, but I’m actually going to rewrite the story from the ground up to adjust to the lore changes that have happened in Sanders Sides since Grim and I started writing this story. I’m just leaving the blog up until I do so, so that the story doesn’t disappear.

@the-twisted-ones-au - This is a placeholder blog for an idea I had for a Sanders Sides fantasy au where magic users are either hunted down and killed or forced to serve the crown…I haven’t gotten around to starting it yet, but if that sounds interesting to you give the blog a follow! I’m sure I’ll write it some day…

@bad-at-bullet-journaling - Ah, a non-sanders sides blog! This is my (rarely used but still nice to have) bullet journaling sideblog, built on the philosophy of “It doesn’t matter if the journal is pretty, it just needs to be functional for You.”

@the-muppets-present - So my husband and I think it’s funny to try and do that thing where you replace the entire cast of a movie with muppets except for One Human Guest Star (in the vein of Muppet Christmas Carol or Muppet Treasure Island) and I thought it’d be fun to do that on tumblr. I haven’t actually DONE any of them yet, but when I want to, I at least have a place to! I occasionally reblog muppet stuff there too, but not often.

@music-for-the-kidz - So sometimes I find good music stuff on here that I want my students to see but I don’t want them to see my url or to see some of the comment threads ON said videos, so this is a clean blog where I can reblog those video safely and anonymously. I used it way more last year when I was teaching middle school general music during since the pandemic kept me from having band and choir like normal.

And the last one, I won’t tell you the url for, because the whole point of it is that it’s anonymous. I haven’t used it in like 6 months, but the idea was to have a place to reblog or post stuff that I didn’t want to put on my main because it was just ASKING for trouble and by trouble I mean stupid discourse. So yeah, even though I don’t really use it anymore, still not giving that url out.

So yeah! All 15 of my blogs, more or less in order of how often I use them/what order they’re in on my sidebar. Feel free to check any of them out if you want, I sure would like to post on some of them more this year, but who knows what will happen?
