So you can easily imagine how Nightmare can turn them against each other under him, which Nightmare actually in reality does, he makes sure they can never truly form a meaningful connection with each other, because if they did, they can easily start plotting their escape plans together or to betray him, in unity there’s strength, and Nightmare, despite his power, knows better than to let them find strength, find a stable relationship, or a stable bond they can use to find hope under him

So they can never really form a genuine friendship even if they truly wanted to, it just wouldn’t work out, Killer to put it bluntly, wouldn’t even care to form a genuine connection, he’s constantly dissociating from everything and everyone around him, he’s apathetic on stage 2, a stage, that Nightmare keeps him in constantly, and even if he was at stage 1, Killer still wouldn’t care about the two guys who can easily stab him in the back for their own gain, and this is the same thought process Murder and Horror have, they simply aren’t convinced to rely upon people who can easily screw them over, Horror has a brother to keep safe, and Murder has an AU to get back to

I’d say Horror and Murder have a bit of a friendship going on, but it’s less genuine friendship and more “let’s look out for each other’s back while in this hell”, and even with that in the mix, Murder can and will stab Horror in the back if it benefited him and the vice versa is also true

Even if they all got freed from Nightmare, they still wouldn’t form a genuine friendship, cause each of them would look at the other as a painful reminder of their abuse than another individual like themself that they can form a connection with, they would simply rather to go their separate ways and never talk about what they went through under the same roof

Do I believe MTT would feel a bit of fucked up nostalgia when it comes to each other had they gotten freedom? Yes absolutely

Do I believe that if they somehow crossed paths again after said freedom, that they might talk to each other, even if briefly? Yes

You were cleaning the counters with your back facing towards Kaiser, who was asleep on the leather plush couch. He was originally watching some some documentary, probably about halfway through by now. He gently woke up to the lovely sound of your singing. He hadn’t heard this song before, so he assumed you wrote it—after all you were quite creative with lyrics Kaiser remembers. The tune of course sounded heavenly from your divine voice, but rather than your sacred tone causing him to pause, it was the lyrics. 

“I still remember, 3rd of December, me in your sweater. You said it looked better on me than it did you.”

December 3rd? Kaiser paused, thinking back.  You and him ordered takeout and watched some shitty Christmas movie you insisted he HAD to watch, trying to get him into ‘The Christmas Spirit’. He didn’t remember lending you his sweater, though he could easily imagine you making that up. What he did remember was telling you just how good you looked when you wore his clothes.

“Only if you knew, how much I liked you, but I watch your eyes as she walks by”

Kaiser blinked, who?

Was this song about him? Who else could it possibly be about? Were you speaking in the third person? Kaiser’s mind was still foggy from just waking up, but confusion crept in as he tried to figure out what your song really meant. He had no interest in any other women, and when they tried to get his attention, he shot them down without a second thought—his cruelty in that department was practically legendary.

Empathy? Yeah, that wasn’t exactly his strong suit.

You’re scrubbing away at some crusted pink filling on the counter, headphones in and jamming out to your tunes. You had tried your hand at making raspberry macarons a few hours earlier, just for fun—though they hadn’t exactly turned out as expected..

Completely unaware of the man hovering behind you, you continued scrubbing the counter, blissfully focused on cleaning.

You aggressively rub against the hard surface, putting more pressure into your palms.

You turned your head slightly to the left, only to get absolutely jumpscared at the sight of Kaiser standing directly behind you.

You shriek, stumbling around and slam your hand on the edge of the counter, other hand clutching the scrub daddy tightly close to your chest.

“MICHAEL!” you screech, throwing the sponge at him in a startled fury.

“What the hell?! Dude, don’t just ominously stand behind people! Jerk!”You sneer, putting your AirPods back into their case.

Kaiser rolls his eyes and scoffs, “You knew I was there, don’t be over dramatic,” “What— ‘Over dramatic?’—Have you met yourself!?—“ “What did you mean by that,” He interrupts, eyes pointed questioning down at you.

You snort, “Oh I’ll tell you exactly what I meant, you literally are the most dramatic person I have ever—“

“Not that, what you were singing or whatever,” Kaiser interrupts, again, his sharp blue eyes narrowing as he leans closer, arms crossed like he’s interrogating you. “Who are you talking about.”

“..Huh..? No one?” Your face scrunches in confusion for a split second before subtle realization hits “..Heather??” You say, more as a question.

“And who is Heather?“ Kaiser’s tone is sharp, his accent making the name sound even more accusing. His eyes narrow as he looms over you, arms crossed like you owe him a detailed explanation.

You stare at him, dumbfounded. “No- no one?? Mihya it’s a song,” You blink at him. Is he serious? You try not to laugh at the absurdity of it all, but it’s hard when Kaiser, Michael freaking Kaiser, looks genuinely invested—like he’s unraveling some grand conspiracy. 

He didn’t look convinced. “You sure?” He asks unimpressed.

Why is he even taking this so personally? you wonder, side-eyeing him as he stands there, arms crossed, waiting for an answer like a prosecutor grilling a witness. Does he not realize how ridiculous he sounds right now?

Then, it clicks.

“Wait, hold on,” You question, a snicker escapes your throat, which Kaiser raises his brow to you. “You thought—You thought I was singing about you?” you laugh in disbelief, doubling over as the realization hits you.

Kaiser stiffens, the faintest hint of red dusting his cheeks. He scoffs, looking off to the side as if the wall suddenly became the most fascinating thing in the room. “I didn’t think anything,” he mutters defensively, his arms crossing tighter over his chest.

Your laughter only grows louder, and you clutch your stomach, trying to catch your breath. “Oh my gosh, you did! You actually thought I was singing about you! That’s why you’re so worked up!”

His jaw clenches, and he glares at you with a mix of embarrassment and irritation. “I was just… verifying,” he huffs, his reaction so uncharacteristically flustered that it makes you laugh even harder.

You wonder just how far his ego can stretch. He probably thinks every sad love song is about him. Heaven forbid anyone in this world not be infatuated with Michael Kaiser. Including Conan Gray.

“Verifying?” you repeat, wiping a tear from your eye. “Mihya, you were practically interrogating me! Over a song!”

He clicks his tongue, and leans down to your level. “Well, excuse me, the way you were singing made it sound personal.” he shoots back, his voice sharp but his face still tinged with pink. “How was I supposed to know it wasn’t about me?”

You snicker, shaking your head. “Michael Kaiser, you’re so full of yourself it’s honestly impressive.“

Kaiser scoffs, his posture straightening as he adjusts his arms, trying to look unaffected. But there’s a faint, almost imperceptible shift in his expression—an acknowledgment that, maybe, you’re onto something.

You step closer, your grin only growing wider. “Awwww, Mihyaaa, did I mess with your head? Naaawww, I’m sorry—” you coo, leaning into his space dramatically, batting your eyelashes in mock sympathy.

Kaiser rolls his eyes, scoffing as he leans back against the counter, clearly unimpressed. “Pfft. You’d have to try harder than that.”

“Oh, really?” you tease, your voice dripping with playful sarcasm. “Because it kinda looked like you were panicking over a fake love triangle just now.”

He clicks his tongue, standing upright and towering over you slightly, his smirk sharp and confident again. “Please.”

You roll your eyes, knowing he’s out of cards decked up his sleeve yet refuses to admit defeat. His ego would never allow it.

“Mm, maybe I should write a sad love song about you. Would that cheer you up?” you tease, a soft giggle escaping as you lean against the counter.

“Don’t flatter yourself,” he retorts, though his tone lacks the usual bite.

You tilt your head, grinning now. “I looooovee you and I know you looooovee me Mihya~,” you say, sing-song, watching the way his jaw tightens ever so slightly.

“I don’t love anyone,” he fires back smoothly, but the corner of his mouth betrays him, quirking up just enough to give him away.

You snort, “Oh, it’s like a dagger to the heart, really,” you say, feigning offense as you pull away from the close distance, one hand dramatically clutching your chest. Before you can retreat further, Kaiser’s hand catches your wrist and pulls you back effortlessly, bringing you closer than before. The motion is so sudden that you nearly stumble into him, and his smirk is practically dripping with amusement.

“So, when’s that sad unrequited love song about me coming out? Hm? I’m curious to hear how it ends.” Kaiser slyly quips.

“If I’m writing a song about you, it’s going to be about how insufferable you are.”

“Looking forward to hearing it, liebe.”

You press a quick kiss onto his expecting lips, and swat at him lightly. “Now get out of my kitchen or make yourself useful.”

You know what‘s cackling me?

Someone who thinks Nesta and Gwyn are shit friends to Emerie legit said that FEYRE and Emerie would be far better friends as they supposedly have so much in common when it comes to their abuse…

You mean- the high lady that cosplays as Emerie‘s race to have sex in the sky and does absolutely jack shit for the Illyrians, Illyrian women specifically? Never expressed any desires to help them, only talking shit about her race while living in her rich mansions? Don’t make me laugh.

Feyre would eliminate Emerie‘s people in a second if she was to choose between Illyria and Velaris and she‘d do it without any remorse. Just like she had no remorse for the civilians in the spring court because her petty revenge against one person was far more important than the civilians that got slaughtered by Hybern soldiers.

Feyre is mated to the little shit that does absolutely nothing for the Illyrians except trying to draft Illyrian women in his military for wars no one wants to fight in anyway. Where‘s the charity for the Illyrian women? What about the health system? Education? Why do Illyrians live in fucking tents for centuries under Rhys‘s rule? Why not enforcing laws to protect the women instead of just throwing your hands up like „I tried“ and then going about your day? Wing clipping is forbidden, yet you don’t fucking suffer any consequences if still practiced. Where‘s the order?

What has Feyre done for Emerie and her people? What makes them great friends exactly? Because what I imagine is Feyre saying „Aye look at this“, shapeshifts to an Illyrian then flex-flying, looking down at Emerie who can’t fly. Again, this is the same lady that was content to shove the spring court people to their doom (the people she befriended in the first book) for revenge against their high lord.

Emerie would and SHOULD hate Feyre. I’m so tired of the IC boot lickers. That cult is NUTS.

And let’s really break this down—what do Feyre and Emerie actually have in common? Because it sure as hell isn’t shared struggle. Feyre’s “hardships” ended the second she became High Lady, living in her cushy palace with infinite wealth, a doting mate, and an entire court ready to worship her every breath.

Emerie? She’s still fighting for survival. She’s still dealing with the oppression of Illyria, still facing discrimination, still struggling to run her shop while men who see her as lesser try to take everything from her. Feyre would never understand that, and more importantly, she wouldn’t care. Because if she did, she would’ve used her power and influence to do literally anything about it.

And let’s not forget—Emerie is the exact kind of person Feyre and the IC love to ignore.

• She’s an Illyrian woman, the very people Rhysand has left to suffer under a corrupt and brutal system.

• She has no political power, no magic, no benefit to the IC’s inner circle.

• She wasn’t “chosen” by them, and unless it personally benefits them, the IC doesn’t care about people who aren’t in their handpicked Velaris elite.

Like, be serious. What would their “friendship” even look like? Feyre visiting Illyria for five minutes, taking a sad, aesthetic look at the struggling Illyrian women, then going back to her mansion for a wine night, patting herself on the back for caring? Because that’s exactly what she does—acted shocked that Illyria was still awful (as if Rhys hadn’t been ruling for centuries), and then promptly did nothing about it.

And the fact that these people have the audacity to say Nesta and Gwyn are bad friends to Emerie??? Nesta, who trained with Emerie every day, pushed her to believe in herself, and fought alongside her in the Blood Rite? Gwyn, who became family to her, who stood by her side as they all carved out a place where they belonged? Those two are “bad” for Emerie, but Feyre—who has done jack shit for her or her people—would be better? Make it make sense.

Emerie is not some token Illyrian for the IC to collect when it’s convenient. She’s her own person, and she deserves friends who actually see her, who understand her struggles, and who give a damn about Illyria beyond surface-level pity. And that sure as hell isn’t Feyre.

And let’s talk more about the Illyrians—because the way they’re treated in the Night Court is actually disgusting. They are the backbone of Rhysand’s power. His armies? Illyrians. His most trusted warriors? Illyrians. The people he constantly throws into war so he can keep his cushy rule in Velaris? Illyrians.

Yet how does the Night Court treat them?

• They live in tents while Rhys and the IC hoard wealth in palaces.

• They are expected to die for a court that does nothing for them.

• Their women are still abused, clipped, and treated as less than nothing.

• Their “High Lord” gives them zero resources, education, or healthcare, but still demands their loyalty.

And when Illyrian men inevitably rebel or make desperate choices? Rhysand just slaughters them. The same way he did after Amarantha, the same way he did with the rebels. No trials, no attempts to reform, just immediate execution.

And let’s not forget—Rhysand only ever acknowledges Illyria when it’s convenient for him.

• When he needs soldiers? He’s the great Illyrian warrior High Lord.

• When he needs Cassian and Azriel to enforce his will? He embraces his Illyrian side.

• But when Illyrians actually need help? Suddenly, he’s not Illyrian anymore—he’s above them. Suddenly, they’re just brutes and problems he can’t fix.

And let’s be really clear—Illyrians are not just some side faction that Rhys and Feyre can exploit when it suits them and ignore when it doesn’t. They are a foundational part of the Night Court. They are the reason Rhysand has an army. They are the reason he can hold power. They are the reason Velaris has the luxury of being “untouched” by war, because it’s the Illyrians who are sent to die first.

In "you're a real katch" I'm a bit stuck on how no one's noticed Superboy supposedly having visited Superman but having no memory of it and etc with Match impersonating him. I do feel like what's going down now should reveal that one cause this is a bit of a major thing to miss.

I absolutely also overthink, lol, you are not alone, friend. So my thought process with Matching going repeatedly unclocked by Clark starts with Match only supposed to have done these visits/drop-ins a handful of times spread out OVER time, and is probably also counting times where he was passing for Kon long-term and no one found out 'til later, so it wouldn't typically be a super-regular thing with a ton of chances for Clark to notice anything weird.

Historically Match only HAS gotten clocked as "Not Actually Kon", like, MAYBE twice that I can recall--once by Tana, who got him pretty much cold, and once by Tim and Cissie when the Agenda had him start yelling about INCREDIBLY out of character for Kon shit on national television (after weeks if not MONTHS of NOT previously clocking him), and if it's happened any other times that weren't deliberate reveals I don't know about 'em. Even KON wasn't sure if Match wasn't an alternate version of him during the whole Suicide Squad thing! Hell, even MATCH wasn't, though like, obvi that was Amanda Waller's fault, but still canon! Still counts, haha!

In general Match is depicted as being REAL convincing at passing for Kon to the point that even deliberate acts of sabotage he commits in the process look like shit that people could genuinely believe Kon would do/"mistakes" that people could genuinely believe Kon would make. Plus there's also the fact that, well, you don't always talk about every time you've seen each other with someone, you know? And even when you do sometimes you just say "the last time I/you came over" or "when I saw you the other day" and "no I forget, what'd you say it was?" or "uhhhhh dude that was like a month ago, remind me?" or just things along those lines. So they weren't meant to be particularly memorable visits or anything, just like, "normal" interactions Clark would be used to having with Kon every now and then, and not necessarily involving any topics that would come across as suspicious for Kon to know/ask about.

And like, if nothing else, Clark has ALSO gotta be used to having a better memory than literally everyone he knows ( and the fact that just about everyone has a WAY worse and more easily-influenced memory than they think they do ), so I don't think he'd necessarily tweak to having to remind someone about something he might've just mentioned in passing as unusual in his life experience. Especially since all extremely dedicated human-passing efforts aside, Clark still probably doesn't have the most accurate grasp of how much a normal memory would hold onto, given how wildly those can vary from person to person and how much harder that is to objectively learn/observe than shit like, how to flinch and what struggling to lift something looks like and what temperatures should be uncomfortable/painful.

And like, final finishing move: no offense to Kon, but historically he does not have the BEST track record at always fully grasping/understanding what Clark has said to him and has misunderstood or misinterpreted him MORE than once, so if Kon ever got confused about something "they" already talked about, it would not REMOTELY be an outlier to either him or Clark, haha.

May I take a gander at Twitter being upset over drawing Gem with antlers? This is coming from someone who also draws Deer!Gem, antlers, hooves and all. Cause if it’s the reason I’m thinking off, clearly none of them saw Gem’s follow up post on tumblr that she’s fine with deer art, she just likes variety too.

And yeah I got into a tiff with someone on TikTok because I said “yeah the popular hybrid headcanon I see of Gem in both hermitcraft and the life series is a deer hybrid” only the the op to reply back “um actually life series Gem shouldn’t be drawn as a deer :/” which Gem never said herself… all she said was that she would lien variety…

I spent 20 minutes looking and couldn't find it, but it was a screenshot of reddit that was being shown to me. In it Gem was indeed talking about how she liked to try new things with her skin and that she'd like to see as much from fanart too, and capped it off by saying that the deer skin was still her favorite and she still enjoyed seeing art of it regardless. So, obviously that was the typical witchhunter who looks for any excuse to police people instead of even reading through the thing they're showing me as "proof". It's honestly a big reason I keep drawing Gem as a cervitaur. Because I can draw whatever I want

Regardless it's stupid of people including CCs to try and police you. This is a fandom and you can draw whatever the hell you want forever. It's reasonable to avoid showing things to the CCs they might not want to see, but outside of that, they don't get to dictate what you can or cannot draw. Gem and Pearl have never had bad intentions though, I'm sure of that. They're newer to this kind of attention than most other CCs they work with, especially after the growth of the gempearl ship within the fandom after Wild Life, and don't seem to understand yet what their place within a fandom is, and that it's not something they can control. Which is so understandable and reasonable

Unfortunately, even if I trust them to always have had good intentions and never to actually police people, any CC ever making even the vaguest boundary is going to be used like a firearm against the fandom by other fandom goers, because fun is banned and they need to protect their beloved content creators from. something? From being drawn with antlers? Otherwise they get depressed and stop making youtube content and kill themselves or something? In my opinion there is absolutely nothing to rationalize this behavior

That's why I only use Tumblr (and Youtube) because those kinds of hatemobs are horribly abundant on twitter and I assume TikTok as well, knowing what I know of that app's general userbase age. My only hope is that these people are 13 years old and that they will grow up

It’s funny how some things can just instantly transport you back to the times you felt small and helpless. Getting iced and ignored in a group/ group chat. Struggling to understand something. Feeling lonely. Getting weird looks. Being laughed at. Suddenly I’m back in elementary school wondering why everyone picks on me, middle school wondering what’s wrong with me and why I can’t make friends, high school being pushed and shoved and ostracized.
