You first met Park Sunghoon at a frat party you had no real interest in attending. It was the first night of the semester, the music was good, the drinks were flowing, and the energy was exactly what you needed. It was the kind of night that made you feel young and invincible, where bad decisions were just part of the fun. And tonight, you were on a mission: hook up with a hot guy.
It was a promiscuous mission, you knew that. And you would be lying if you said you weren’t that kind of girl because you were! But you weren’t the reckless, messy type. No, you were the smart kind of promiscuous. The kind who could have fun without losing control. You were practical about it—always sober enough to make sound decisions, always keeping your boundaries clear. Simply put, you were the best type of promiscuous.
As a college girl with ambitions, you couldn’t afford to get tangled in romance and all that commitment nonsense. Too much work. But you had needs, and fulfilling them meant nights like this—scanning the crowd for a guy who could tickle your fancy, no strings attached.
That was how you spotted him.
Tall, handsome, but oddly out of place. While the rest of the party thrived on the chaos, he stood by himself in a corner. He had a cup in his hand, but it wasn’t like he was enjoying it. He looked like he’d rather be anywhere else—his posture slouched just enough to suggest he wasn’t a part of this. He had that bored, almost irritable look on his face, the kind that made you wonder if he was only here because someone dragged him along.
You were not the type to hesitate, so you didn’t. You’d done this enough times to know exactly what you were after, and right now? You were after him.
“Is this your first frat party, or are you just too cool for it?” you asked, leaning in just enough to get his attention.
He glanced at you, his eyes flicking over your face for a second before landing on your lips, then back up to your eyes. Up close, he was even more good-looking—long lashes, sharp features, lips that curled just slightly at the corners like he was already amused by you, and a couple of beauty marks on his face that made him even more striking.
He was definitely your type.
“You look like you’d rather be anywhere else,” you added, taking a sip of your drink, not breaking eye contact.
“That obvious?” he asked, his voice low, almost melodic.
You smirked, liking the way his voice was as perfect as his looks. “You look miserable,” you pointed out, still grinning.
He chuckled lightly, amused but not exactly thrilled. “What about you? Having fun?”
You shrugged. “I wasn’t. But right now, I think I might be…” You let your gaze wander, deliberately slow, from his face to the exposed skin of his chest where a few buttons were undone.
Sunghoon smirked, his gaze trailing over you in a way that was appreciative without being too obvious. “Well, that makes two of us,” he replied suggestively.
He flirted right back!
“I’m Sunghoon,” he said, offering his hand for a shake. You took it and gave him your name.
Your eyes locked with his—now more curious, sizing him up. For a few seconds, it was just the two of you staring each other down, trying to gauge each other’s thoughts with your hands still joined. Then you saw a flicker in his eyes that made you come to an agreement with your own intuition.
You tilted your head, eyes still locked with his. “Do you wanna have sex with me?”
His eyes widened slightly, his brows lifting in surprise—visibly caught off guard by your suggestion. His grip on your hand loosened, though he didn’t let go completely. You kept your gaze steady, showing no hesitation and letting him know you were serious. A few seconds of silence passed where you almost thought he’d say no, but then he exhaled a soft laugh.
“Are you always this forward?” he asked, amused now.
You shrugged nonchalantly. “Only when I see someone I like.”
He tilted his head slightly, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “And you like me?”
“I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t.”
With that, his smirk widened, and before you could second-guess yourself, he set his cup down. “My place or yours?”
And just like that, you were out of the party and heading to whatever the hell came next. No strings, no pressure. Just the way you liked it.
You didn’t know it then, but that was when the tsunami that would come crashing in began to take shape.
Tumblr media
You didn’t mean for it to happen again. It was supposed to be a one-time thing—fun, uncomplicated. But he was phenomenal, so it happened a second time. And a third. And eventually, you just lost count.
Maybe it was because, other than the fact that he was really good at it, he was also easy to be around. He wasn’t like the others—the ones who got clingy after a night or acted like they were doing you a favor by sleeping with you. Sunghoon was different. He never overstayed his welcome, never asked for more than you were willing to give, but he wasn’t distant either. If anything, he was… nice.
Not in a fake, trying-too-hard way. Just nice. Made you feel comfortable, always made sure you finished before he did, and never left without saying something witty that made you roll your eyes. He had this way of being detached but not cold, like he had mastered the art of keeping things casual without being an asshole.
“You know,” you mused, sprawled across his bed, still catching your breath, “my first impression of you was that you were boring and miserable. Turns out you know how to make a girl have fun.”
Standing by his closet, Sunghoon threw you an amused glance as he pulled a sweatshirt over his head. “Yeah? I aim to please.”
You smirked. “That sounds like something a guy who thinks he’s good in bed would say.”
He let out a soft laugh, running a hand through his hair before turning to you, looking almost too put-together for someone who had just spent an hour between your legs. “And? Am I not?”
You propped yourself up on your elbows, pretending to consider it. “Hmm. You’re alright.”
He scoffed, tossing a pillow at you, which you barely dodged. “You’re a bad liar.”
You grinned, stretching lazily. “Well, I can’t have you getting a big head, can I?”
Sunghoon shook his head, his lips curling into that infuriatingly charming smirk. “Too late for that.”
It was easy. Too easy. Maybe that’s why you let it keep happening.
Behind closed doors, there was no restraint. It didn’t matter if it was your place or his—once the door was closed, your hands were on his neck, his lips found your skin, and clothes barely made it past the foyer before being discarded.
Sunghoon was incredible in bed. He was controlled, precise, yet somehow still desperate when he kissed you, when he pressed you against the mattress, when he groaned your name like it was the only thing keeping him from spiraling. And you? You had mastered the art of making him unravel.
You knew exactly what made him weak, how to turn his composure into incoherence, how to make him grip your waist a little harder or breathe your name in a way that made your stomach flip. It was exhilarating, effortless—two people who just fit perfectly when it came to this.
But outside? You were mere acquaintances.
A nod in the hallway. A fleeting smile across the quad. If you happened to pass each other at a party, he’d tip his cup in your direction, and you’d lift a brow in acknowledgment. No one knew. No one suspected a thing. And you liked it better that way. You were both civil and could control your urges.
Except for when you couldn’t.
Like now.
You were leaving class when Sunghoon caught your wrist, pulling you into an empty lecture hall.
“What—”
He kissed you before you could finish, his hands already gripping your hips, pressing you against the nearest desk. The kiss was hot, urgent, like he had been holding back all day.
“Wow, I think you missed me a little,” you teased when he finally pulled away, breathless.
Sunghoon scoffed, but his fingers traced the sleeve of your dress like he wasn’t done with you yet. “You should wear this more often.”
You smirked. “What? Hoon, you did not pull me in here just because I’m wearing a dress.”
“It’s a really nice dress,” he grinned, leaning in to kiss you again.
You kissed him back, snaking your arms around his neck. His hand slipped under your dress, squeezing your thighs firmly. When the familiar warmth started creeping up your chest, you held his hand to stop him.
“This is not a good idea,” you told him, smiling at the puppy-like look on his face.
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head like he regretted his own impulse. But he didn’t let go. Instead, he leaned in again, his lips brushing yours like he couldn’t help himself.
And then you heard the sound of voices just outside the door.
In an instant, Sunghoon stepped back, running a hand through his hair like nothing had happened. You casually adjusted your dress. When the door creaked open, and a couple of students poked their heads in, you and Sunghoon were already on opposite sides of the room.
“Is this Professor Smith’s class?” one of them asked just as you spotted the same name written on the board in front.
“It is,” you said smoothly, slinging your bag over your shoulder as you strode past Sunghoon without so much as a glance.
Outside, in the open air, you felt his presence behind you, his steps easy and unhurried. As you reached the main path to the quad, he finally passed you, his shoulder brushing yours just slightly.
“See you around,” he murmured, low enough that only you could hear.
You smirked, not looking back. “See you around.”
But even with all of that, you could tell he was drawing a line between you. He didn’t have to say it. You could see it in the way he never texted first, the way he kissed you like he meant it but pulled away too quickly after. The way he made you laugh but never let the moment linger too long.
And maybe you should have done the same.
Tumblr media
You didn’t mean to fall for him. You really didn’t. But it was hard not to when, in between the sneaking around and the mind-blowing sex, Sunghoon was just... Sunghoon. Nice and thoughtful in a way that made it almost impossible to keep things casual.
Like when the lightbulb in your room went out, and he arrived at your place with a new one, climbed on a chair, and replaced it himself.
“I was gonna do that, you know,” you said, arms crossed as you leaned against the wall, watching him screw the new bulb into place. “I’m just a little busy these days.”
He climbed down, dusting his hands off. “Yeah, but can you even reach that high?”
You rolled your eyes, but when he patted your head like you were some kid, you didn’t swat his hand away. Instead, you found yourself watching him as he moved around your space so easily.
Or the way he always refilled your bedside tumbler before he left your place. You didn’t even notice it at first, but one morning, you woke up, throat dry, and reached for it instinctively—only to realize it was full. Ice-cold. Like he had just topped it off before slipping out.
And then there was the night you were cramming for an exam, drowning in highlighter ink and frustration, when your door swung open, and Sunghoon walked in like he owned the place.
“I’m about to become your favorite person in the world,” he announced, dropping a thick stack of papers on your desk.
You blinked up at him. “What is this?”
“My old notes,” he said, ruffling your hair before plopping onto your bed like he had all the time in the world. “They’re neat. Better than whatever middle school doodles you have going on.”
You flipped through them, and he wasn’t lying—his notes were immaculate. Organized, highlighted, complete with diagrams. You stared at them, then at him, sprawled out on your bed like he had no idea what he’d just done.
“You didn’t strike me as a guy who took his studies seriously,” you teased, although you didn’t really think that way about him.
Sunghoon smirked, turning his head to look at you. “Why? Did you think the only thing I knew how to do was make your legs shake?”
You rolled your eyes, but it didn’t stop the warmth creeping up your chest. “Be real, Hoon. You’re not that good.”
“Liar liar, pants on fire,” he lilted, his eyes shifting back to his phone.
You fell for him because hookups weren’t supposed to be this thoughtful. Hookups weren’t supposed to linger after sex to fix your lightbulb or make sure you stayed hydrated. They weren’t supposed to look after you in ways so small, so casual, that you almost missed them.
You caught yourself wondering. Did he care about you more than just a hookup? Or worse—did you want him to?
You were at a café with your friends when his name came up.
It started casually enough—half-listening to the conversation while stirring the melting ice in your drink, until one of them, Lily, suddenly said, “Oh, by the way, I saw Sunghoon at your apartment complex the other day. Didn’t know you guys were neighbors.”
Your hand stilled, heartbeat picking up pace at the sudden mention of his name. You blinked once, twice, before mustering up an easy shrug. “Huh. Neither did I.”
Lily laughed, oblivious. “Right? He was coming out of your building. I was gonna say hi, but he looked like he was in a hurry.”
Across the table, Tammy tilted her head. “Maybe he was visiting someone? From what I know, he lives with Jake in a different neighborhood.”
“Maybe,” Lily mused, sipping her drink. Then, as if the thought just occurred to her, she added, “Oh! You and Jenna are neighbors, right?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know any Jenna.”
“Jenna! The girl who won the poll for prettiest student last year!” she explained, her expression turning conspiratorial. “She’s Sunghoon’s ex.”
Your heart sank to the pit of your stomach.
Lily went on, oblivious. “Guess he’s still hoping she’ll take him back.”
The words landed like a slap. You almost asked her to repeat herself, but the way Tammy nodded in understanding told you that you heard right.
“Yeah,” Tammy said. “They were together for two years. I heard he was really sad when they broke up.”
Lily clicked her tongue. “Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did get back together. They were that couple, you know?”
That couple. The ones who belonged together. The ones who had history, real history—not just stolen moments behind closed doors.
You swallowed, forcing a small smirk. “Didn’t know you guys were keeping up with Sunghoon’s love life like this.”
Lily nodded. “Jenna and I used to hang out when I was still in the council.”
Then she started rambling about their history, how Jenna broke Sunghoon’s heart, how he never really moved on. You nodded along, pretending to listen, but your mind was stuck on every moment you spent with him. The way he pulled you closer in his sleep, how he never let you walk home alone, the way he looked at you sometimes—like maybe you were something more special to him.
But you weren’t. You weren’t the one he wanted. You never were. And just like that, the guessing game was over.
He didn’t want you like you wanted him. You were genuinely just a fling.
Still, you smiled, made some joke that had your friends laughing, and sipped your drink like nothing was wrong. Like your stomach hadn’t just dropped to the floor.
Later, when you saw Sunghoon again—when he let himself into your apartment with that lazy smirk, hands already reaching for you—you didn’t hesitate. You let him touch you, let him kiss you like nothing had changed.
Because for him, nothing had.
And if he didn’t know the difference or couldn’t see the shift, then you sure as hell weren’t going to show him.
Tumblr media
Does it make sense to want your ex back and exclusively sleep with someone else? NO.
It was stupid. Sunghoon was stupid. That was what you told yourself every time the thought crossed your mind—every time you caught yourself comparing.
You never voiced it out loud, though. Not to your friends, because Sunghoon was popular, and they’d pry if they knew you were sleeping with him. Not to him, for obvious reasons. And mainly because you had pride. You were the one who said you wouldn’t get attached—the one who laughed at girls who caught feelings for a fling.
But knowing better didn’t stop the thoughts from creeping in.
His ex was his senior, a fine arts major. Pretty. Smart. Talented. One of those girls who just had it. The kind people didn’t get over easily. You told yourself it didn’t matter. If he wanted her back, that was his problem, not yours. It wasn’t like you and Sunghoon were anything.
And so the days with him continued to be easy and light.
You spent more time together, and the more you did, the more you noticed his quirks—his own brand of annoying charm. Like how he always picked up your keys instead of his whenever he left your apartment, or how he liked to roll his sleeves and ruffle his hair absentmindedly.
One evening, lying side by side on your bed, you scrolled through your texts, absentmindedly opening your chat with him. A dozen images filled the screen, almost all of them mirror selfies. Some in elevators, some in his room, one even in a convenience store.
“You like yourself a little too much, don’t you?” you mused, tilting your phone so he could see.
Sunghoon barely glanced at it. “What?”
“These,” you said, scrolling through. “Almost every picture you send me is just you.”
He smirked, resting his head on his arm. “What, you don’t like them?”
You huffed. “You’re hot and you know it, is that it?”
He let out a breathy laugh, rolling onto his side to face you. The glint in his eyes was naughty and suggestive. His next words, even more so: “Would you rather I send you something else?”
He was looking at you like he knew exactly what he was doing, but you weren’t about to let him have the upper hand.
“Maybe,” you said, feigning deep thought. “Like a cat picture. Or, I don’t know, an interesting rock.”
Sunghoon snorted. “An interesting rock?”
“I like rocks.”
“You’re weird.”
“And you’re a narcissist.”
He only grinned, as if he didn’t mind the label. You shook your head, rolling onto your stomach, but your lips twitched when your phone vibrated a second later.
A picture. Of a rock.
You bit back a smile, and Sunghoon, watching you, caught it anyway.
“What?” he asked, amused.
“Nothing,” you said, tossing your phone aside.
You had never once felt insecure about what you had with Sunghoon, but after what you heard from your friends, you started to notice the little things. It almost seemed like outside the four walls of your apartments, you were nothing to each other.
You used to think he was just a lazy texter. His replies were always short, sometimes delayed, sometimes just emojis. But knowing what you knew now, you wondered if he just wasn’t interested enough.
The thought crept under your skin, making you overthink the things you once brushed off.
Before, when you texted him to come over and he said he couldn’t, you didn’t think much of it. But now? Now, you wondered if he was with her when he wasn’t with you. If he looked at his phone, saw your message, and made a choice.
Yet, you kept crawling back for more.
You were an intelligent woman. You knew this was foolish. You knew how it made you look. But it was fine, because no one else knew how you felt—not your friends, not even Sunghoon himself. It was fine because you were foolish only in your own eyes. There was no need for anyone else to know.
Despite the foolishness of it all, you were happy. You were content enough to be able to spend time with him, to be touched and worshipped by him, to know you had the power to tease out a part of him that not everyone had the privilege to see.
“Sunghoon,” you sighed, fingers pressed against your temple as you looked out of the car window. “We’ve been circling this block for ten minutes.”
You had tagged along with Sunghoon on a quick trip to pick up some pieces for his department’s upcoming art exhibit. It was unplanned. You were outside the campus after class when he spotted you and asked if you wanted to join him. Since you didn’t have anything planned for the day (and because you could never say no to a chance to hang out with him), you got into his car and let him drive without even asking where you were going.
But Sunghoon, as it turned out, had a terrible sense of direction.
“I swear it was supposed to be around here,” he muttered, one hand on the wheel, the other tapping aimlessly at his phone.
“You said that twenty minutes ago.”
He shot you a glance, sheepish. “Well, I meant it twenty minutes ago.”
You rolled your eyes and leaned back in your seat, stretching your legs. The map app on his dashboard kept recalculating, rerouting him to roads that either didn’t exist or led straight to nowhere. And when he finally admitted defeat, pulling over to rethink his next move, you both stepped out and realized something.
The ocean was right there.
Waves lapped lazily at the shore, the sky was clear, and the sun was warm but not overbearing—the kind of day that practically begged to be wasted at the beach.
“…Screw the errand?” you offered.
Sunghoon stared at the water for a moment before shrugging. “Screw the errand.”
And just like that, the detour became the destination.
The day unfolded spontaneously. You bought overpriced street food from a vendor by the shore, eating as you walked, laughing when Sunghoon scrunched his nose at the spicy kick of the sauce. He had an annoyingly specific taste in food and the smell, but he still let you shove a piece of yours into his mouth.
You found a little souvenir stand and tried on ridiculous sunglasses, taking pictures of each other in frames shaped like hearts and palm trees. Sunghoon snapped candid shots of you when you weren’t looking, and though you pretended to be annoyed, you never asked him to stop.
At some point, the tide crept in, and you played a round of rock, paper, scissors and dared the loser to get into the water. You weren’t even surprised when you lost. You sucked at this game.
“I can’t believe you’re making me do this,” you grumbled, kicking your sandals off. “By myself, no less.”
“Hey, it’s a game. We both agreed to this,” he retorted, stepping back. “And I can’t go in there. I’m wearing jeans.”
“And I’m wearing a skirt,” you countered, already wading in, your hem darkening as the waves reached you.
Sunghoon exhaled through his nose, probably wondering if you were actually sulking over a punishment you’d happily agreed to before you lost the game. Of course, you weren’t, but it was fun to tease him and see what he’d do.
“You’re unbelievable,” he said after the scowl never left your face. In a moment of impulsive surrender, he walked straight in after you, the water soaking up his pants. You’re actually unbelievable,” he added, shaking his head as the chill hit him.
You grinned triumphantly, making him brush his hair back in playful exasperation. Then, shaking his head in defeat, he said, “I knew it. It was a farce. You knew I was gonna give in!”
“You fell for it,” you scoffed, rolling your eyes playfully. “Don’t blame me,” you added, flicking water at him.
Sunghoon blinked at you, unimpressed, before flicking some back with just the tips of his fingers.
“Oh, come on,” you taunted. “Is that the best you can do?”
His eyes narrowed slightly—just enough of a warning before he sent a full splash your way, drenching your arms. You gasped, stumbling back with a laugh.
“Oh? So that’s how it’s gonna be?” you shot back, scooping up water with both hands and throwing it right at his chest.
He retaliated, sending another wave toward you, and suddenly it was war. One splash turned into another, then another, until you were both breathless, clothes sticking to your skin, hair a mess.
Sunghoon pushed his dripping bangs back with a huff. “This is your fault,” he said, smiling his usual warm and blinding smile—the smile that made his eyes crinkle, the smile that revealed dimples carving deep into his cheeks, the smile that could make anyone think Sunghoon had never forced a grin in his life.
He was beautiful, and you could feel yourself falling deeper and deeper, with no way out. You were falling so deep that it made your heart ache a little—the way you liked him, the way you wanted him to be yours, the way you wished today could last forever.
As the sky started to turn amber, you collapsed onto the sand, watching the sun lower itself into the horizon.
The waves rolled in, steady and endless, curling at the shore. The air smelled of salt, and the golden glow of the sunset painted the world majestically. You sat side by side, talking and laughing about random things, content to share the warmth of a single jacket.
Then, somewhere between the soothing sound of the waves and the silly jokes, the conversation drifted deeper.
You talked about things you never had before—about college, about dreams and ambitions, about the way people always say you’ll just know when something is right.
“How do you know for sure that that’s what you wanted to pursue?” he asked while you were tracing idle patterns in the sand. “What if you think you know, but when you get to the end of it, you realize it was the wrong choice?”
You looked out into the ocean, tilting your head slightly, considering. “I didn’t really know it was the right choice. I don’t think anyone ever really knows,” you admitted. “Not in the moment, at least. Maybe you just choose something, and later, that choice becomes the right one.”
You turned to look at him only to find out he already had his eyes on you. The admiration in his gaze was subtle, but it was there. Seeing that made your heart trip over itself, it made you forget, for just a second, that this wasn’t real.
And when he leaned in, when his eyes flickered to your lips and your breath caught, you stopped thinking. You knew what was coming. You knew he was about to kiss you, but somehow, for some reason, this time felt different. Like this kiss was gonna determine a major point in your relationship.
But before anything could happen, Sunghoon’s phone rang, jolting you both out of the trance. You both looked away in embarrassment, clearing your throat like you’d caught yourself doing something you shouldn’t. Which was ridiculous because you’d done nothing but kiss him in the past few months.
Sunghoon cleared his throat as he picked up his phone on the sand then answered the call with a quiet, “Yeah?”
It was the committee for the exhibit and you watched him talk on the phone for the next few minutes, explaining what had happened and why he couldn’t finish the errand. By the time he hung up, the sky had darkened completely, and the air had turned crisp.
“It’s late,” he said, brushing sand off his hands. “You okay with crashing at my place?”
You blinked. “Your place?”
“Our old family house. It’s not far from here.”
You hesitated for a moment, but then shrugged. “Sure.”
Tumblr media
The car ride was quiet, thick with the tension that had been ignited by the near-kiss at the beach. Neither of you spoke, but your gazes met every now and then—quick glances, fleeting and heated, before darting away like you hadn’t been caught.
Sunghoon was the first to break. His hand drifted from the wheel, finding your thigh in the dim glow of the dashboard, fingers pressing just enough to make your breath hitch. He squeezed, testing, and when you didn’t stop him, he grew bolder, pushing the hem of your dress up just enough to feel the warmth of your skin. His fingers traced your skin with slow, deliberate strokes, inching higher into your inner thighs and lightly brushing your sex.
The heat of his touch burned through you. While you sat there feeling hotter as your heartbeat hammered wildly in your chest, he remained composed and quiet, his face unreadable save for the occasional twitch of his jaw. He kept his eyes on the road, but the way the car gradually picked up speed as he stepped harder on the gas told you everything you needed to know.
The tension coiled tighter and tighter until the car rolled to a stop in their driveway. He exhaled sharply, as if regaining control of himself before stepping out and opening the door for you like nothing was out of the ordinary.
The lock to their house’s main entrance clicked, the door creaked open, and the second you stepped inside, all restraints snapped.
You barely had a moment to take in the house before his hands were on you, pulling you in, mouths crashing in a kiss that was desperate, needy, and greedy. He backed you into the foyer, hands mapping the curve of your waist, and the shape of your hips.
Your fingers tangled in his shirt, pulling, tugging, holding on for dear life as the heat of his touch woke something primal in you. He barely broke the kiss as he guided you further inside, not caring where you ended up as long as you got there together. You went past the foyer and the living room, but all you felt was the press of his body, the way he kissed you with the kind of hunger that made your head spin.
He pushed a door open, urging you inside but you hesitated, pulse hammering.
“Sunghoon,” you breathed between kisses, fingers clutching at his shoulders. “Your parents—”
“They’re not home.” His voice was low, steady, but his eyes burned through yours.
You barely had a second to process before he kissed you again, silencing every last doubt as he pushed you inside the door he had just opened. When he clicked the lights on, the glow of a bathroom light flickered on, reflecting off the tiles and the mirror above the sink.
“Figured you’d hate the taste of the sea on my skin,” he murmured, grinning as his fingers grazed your hip. You were suddenly reminded of the saltwater clinging to your skin, and the sand on your legs, remnants of the day you’d spent together.
You swallowed, nodding. But the moment he lifted the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head in one swift motion, you knew washing up wasn’t gonna be the only thing happening in here.
You shamelessly ogled him—his bare skin, damp from sweat and seawater, and his lean build with well-defined muscles that you’d seen several times before but still found alluring. He caught you staring and smirked, stepping closer, close enough that his fingers found the buttons of your top.
“Did you know I’m good with buttons?” he asked softly, making you giggle.
“Yeah. I’ve seen your skills,” you said, watching him.
His fingers were deft, undoing your buttons slowly, teasingly. When he was done, he gently tugged it off, letting it fall on the floor. His hands didn’t leave you, though. They skimmed down your arms, and your waist, examining every curve like he had it memorized and wanted to see if anything was different.
The next thing you knew, warm water was cascading over your bodies, steam enveloping you in the small space. The spray soaked your hair, trailing down your spine, but you barely noticed because Sunghoon was there—his hands smoothing over your skin, his lips brushing against your shoulder, your jaw, his canines grazing your skin ever so slightly.
“We’re supposed to be washing up,” you teased, though your voice was breathless.
“We are,” he murmured, his fingers sliding down your stomach, inching lower. “Just making sure we’re doing it thoroughly.”
You let out a quiet laugh, but it faded into a sigh when he pressed you back against the cool tiles, his mouth finding yours again. He didn’t stay for long, lips trailing down your jaw to your neck, all the way to your chest where his kisses turned a little more intense. He sucked and squeezed, sending a pleasant ripple through your body that made you arch forward for more. The water drowned out the sound of your quiet moans, the warmth of his mouth making every touch feel more heady, more intoxicating.
When did he take off his pants? You didn’t even notice until he pressed his body against yours and you felt his manhood pulsating against your torso, hot and raging. He kissed your lips again, shoving his tongue inside as his breathing turned rougher.
“Turn around,” he rasped in your ear, and you obliged, finding yourself face-to-face with your own reflection.
You pressed your hands against the glass, your entire body tingling with anticipation as he positioned himself behind you. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder, kissing the side of your neck as you felt his tip prodding your pussy.
“Look at you,” he whispered, biting your ear. “Do you have any idea how you drive me crazy all the damn time?”
You were about to respond when he pushed himself inside you, making you let out a throaty gasp instead. Sunghoon stayed still, shushing you gently and kissing your shoulder.
“It’s alright. We’ve done this before,” he chimed and you could see him smirking in your reflection.
“You’re used to this, right?” he asked, moving delicately so you could properly adjust to his length and girth. “Right, baby?” he asked again, and the lilt in his voice made you close your eyes and nod.
“That’s right. You said you love it, didn’t you?”
You could only let out a deep sigh, tilting your head back. “Yes, Hoon. I love it,” you whispered back.
“Good. I know you do,” he chimed, gently bending you forward. “I know you’ll love this too,” he added before his hands settled on your waist and he started thrusting into you.
His pace was urgent, with enough force to make your knees weak each time he slammed into you. You didn’t even bother to stifle your moans anymore, letting them out completely, not caring if there were neighbors nearby who might hear you. You were lightheaded with lust, spiraling into the titillating euphoria that Sunghoon never once failed to deliver. Your entire being came alive and you were so caught up in it that you didn’t even notice your knees buckling underneath your weight.
Sunghoon’s grip tightened as he helped keep you up, pulling out to give you a quick break and to turn you face-to-face with him again. His grin was unmistakable, pleased to see your fucked-out expression. “So so beautiful,” he said, sweeping your hair out of your face.
He pressed you against the cool tiles, his lips crashing onto yours, urgency overtaking everything else. You gasped when his hands gripped your thighs, lifting you against him. The water poured over his shoulders, down your back, as he moved with reckless need, his breath ragged against your ear.
“More, Hoon. Please, more,” you pleaded, as if he wasn’t already ramming mercilessly into you making every nerve in your body dance in pleasure.
“You’re so horny for me,” he murmured against your lips, his fingers gripping your thighs as he lifted you against him. “Can’t even wait till we got to the bed, huh?”
Your breath hitched as he pressed into you, the heat of the shower only amplifying the sensation. “This was your idea,” you whispered, but it came out shaky, wrecked.
He chuckled, low and deep. “I know. But you want this too, don’t you?” he said, voice smooth as his lips traced down your throat. “You want me so bad. You’re begging me for more, isn’t that right?”
You didn’t answer—not in words, at least. But when you tightened your grip around his shoulders, nails pressing into his skin, he took it as confirmation.
“That’s it,” he groaned, rolling his hips into yours. “Come on, baby. Let me hear you.”
You whimpered when he hit a delicious spot, holding onto him tighter. “Hoon, you fuck so good.”
He grunted, spurred on by your admission. He was fast, desperate—like he couldn’t get enough, like he had to claim every inch of you right then and there. When he finally tipped over the edge, dragging you down with him, he held you through it, his lips pressing on your temple as your body trembled in his arms.
The moment was fleeting, but the desire didn’t leave just yet. You could still feel it in his touch even as he set you back on your feet. The moment you stepped out of the shower, Sunghoon grabbed a towel, barely bothering to dry you properly before he lifted you off your feet, carrying you out of the bathroom, down the hallway, and into what you only assumed was his bedroom.
This time, there was no rush.
He laid you down, his hands smoothing over your skin, his touch softer now, more reverent. “Look at you,” he murmured, eyes tracing over every inch of you, dark with something more than just lust. “So pretty. So perfect for me.”
Your breath came uneven as he leaned down, pressing slow, lingering kisses along your collarbone, down your chest, lower—each one dragging a gasp from your lips.
“Tell me what you need,” he whispered against your skin.
“You,” you admitted, voice barely above a whisper.
A knowing smile tugged at his lips. “Yeah?” He kissed the corner of your mouth, teasing. “Then take me,” he added, just before he filled you up again.
It wasn’t rushed, wasn’t urgent, or desperate. It was slow, deep, and overwhelming in the most delightful way. He kept his forehead pressed to yours, breath warm against your face, whispering in between kisses.
“That’s it… just like that, baby,” he murmured, moving languidly. “You feel so good. You’re taking me so well.”
Every whispered praise sent shivers down your spine, made you cling to him even tighter, and made the pleasure build until it was unbearable.
The night was young and it was not gonna end just yet. And so the hours blurred into moments of euphoric highs, fleeting clarity, and intense need to ravage and be ravaged. His name was the only thing you could say—over and over—until you were both left breathless, tangled together in the sheets, completely undone.
In the morning, you probably wouldn’t remember every detail of tonight, but you’d remember this—remember the way his hands felt on your skin, the way he whispered your name like a prayer. In the dim glow of Sunghoon’s bedroom, your fingers tangled in his damp hair, lips swollen from too many kisses, you let yourself forget. Forget the rules. Forget that this was never supposed to feel like more. Just for tonight, he was yours, and you were his.
Tumblr media
The morning light streamed in through the sheer curtains, hurting your eyes a little. You blinked awake, momentarily disoriented, until the scent of Sunghoon’s shampoo on your skin and the warmth of the bed beneath you reminded you where you were.
You turned over to find him already awake, his arm tucked behind his head as he looked at you with a lazy smile. “Morning,” he murmured.
“Morning,” you murmured, voice thick with sleep.
His fingers skimmed down your arm. “You’re cute when you sleep.”
A slow blink. Then, a scoff. “Liar.”
“It’s true.” He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, his touch lingering as his gaze flickered down to your lips. “You drool a little, though.”
You smacked his arm. “I do not.”
His laughter was low and teasing, as he caught your wrist then tugged you closer. His body was warm against yours, and his breath was even warmer as he kissed the curve of your neck.
“We should get up,” you said, but neither of you moved.
“Yeah,” he murmured, his soft kisses trailing down to your shoulder. “In a bit,” he added before reaching to cup your cheek and kiss your lips.
One thing led to another and suddenly, you were underneath him again, his body pressing into yours like he couldn’t bear to be apart.
The morning air was cool, but his hands were warm as they skimmed down your waist, his touch slow, and smooth.
“You’re insatiable,” he murmured against your lips, smiling when you shivered under him.
“So are you,” you whispered back, running your fingers through his hair.
He hummed, nipping at your bottom lip before soothing it with his tongue. “Guess we’re even, then.”
His hands slid over your bare skin, his touch reverent. He kissed you deeply, guiding you through the lazy tangle of limbs and soft gasps, dragging it out like he had all the time in the world.
By the time you finally got out of bed, Sunghoon had already dug through his closet, tossing you an old hoodie and some sweatpants. You pulled them on and followed him down the quiet hallway.
The house felt still—too still. Only then did you notice the dust gathering on the bookshelves, the faint scent of time in the air.
“This place has been empty for a while now,” Sunghoon said casually from behind you when he noticed you looking around. “My family moved a few months ago to take care of my grandparents.”
Your brows lifted. “So no one lives here?”
He shook his head. “Not really. I come by sometimes. I technically still live here, I'm just not here often.”
That made sense. There was something about the house—it felt untouched, frozen in time, like stepping into a memory. You walked further into the hall, your fingers grazing along the walls and stopping at the framed photographs hanging there.
You studied them, tilting your head. Sunghoon as a kid, bright-eyed and grinning, a missing tooth on full display. A younger version of him on a skating rink, mid-game, frozen in motion. Another picture—him and his family, arms slung over each other’s shoulders, and several of him in a skating rink, different poses, taken in the middle of a routine.
“You skate?”
Sunghoon smiled, standing beside you and looking up at the photos. “Used to. I was in the national team for a while.”
“Why did you stop?” you asked glancing up at him and seeing the reminiscent look on his face.
He simply shrugged. “I had to be realistic. I enjoyed the sport but I couldn’t see myself doing it for a long time.”
You bit back a smile. “You were kind of adorable.”
Sunghoon scoffed, stepping up behind you. “I still am.”
“Debatable.”
He tugged at your hoodie—his hoodie—pulling the hood over your head before nodding toward the door. “Come on. Let’s go get something to eat.”
The drive back to the city was uneventful, the radio playing softly in the background. Sunghoon’s hand rested on the wheel, his other lazily draped over your thigh, tracing absentminded patterns through the fabric of his sweatpants that you were still wearing. You were talking, laughing, stealing quick glances at him between songs on the stereo.
At some point, he cleared his throat. “So… what are you doing later?”
“I have a group project.” You groaned, leaning back against the seat. “I’m meeting up with my classmates later.”
“Right. Group project.” He nodded slowly, drumming his fingers against the steering wheel. “Sounds boring.”
“It is,” you huffed. “Why’d you ask?”
“No reason.” His eyes stayed fixed on the road, but you caught the way his grip on the wheel tightened just slightly. A second passed before he spoke again, this time even more nonchalant. “What about tomorrow?”
You tilted your head. “Tomorrow? I’m not sure. Just classes, I think.” You turned to him, raising a brow. “Why?”
“Do you wanna grab lunch with me tomorrow?”
You stared at him for a moment, then grinned teasingly. “Are you asking me out on a date, Park Sunghoon?”
His ears turned the faintest shade of pink, but he scoffed like the idea was ridiculous. “I’m just saying we should get lunch.”
“Mmm.” You pretended to think. “Sounds like a date to me.”
“It’s not a date.”
You scoffed in playful exasperation. “Dude, I was naked on top of you last night and a couple of other nights before. Surely we’re way past shy invitations for lunch dates?”
“I’m asking you to eat.” He paused, then added with a tilt of his head, “But if you wanna call it a date, that’s fine too. Labels are overrated.”
You hummed, pretending to think about it. “Hm. I guess I’ll allow it.”
Sunghoon chuckled, shaking his head. “Good. It’s settled then,” he said, stopping at a red light.
He leaned over to kiss you, catching you off guard but only for a moment. You kissed him back, albeit a little confused. When he pulled away, he was wearing a proud smirk on his face and you couldn’t help but laugh.
“Stop that.”
“Stop what?” he asked, shifting the gear as the light turned green again. He reached for your hand, intertwining your fingers and bringing it to his lips.
One hour later, you reached your apartment complex, but had to you stay a few more minutes in his car because he couldn’t seem to get enough of you, kissing and touching right there in the parking lot. You had to forcefully push him away and remind him that you had classes and important stuff to attend to. Even then, he was reluctant to let you go.
After a dramatic goodbye that had him pouting as he drove away, you climbed up the building with a sickening grin on your face. You unlocked your door, stepping inside with a lightness in your chest, breathing in the familiar smell of your home.
The past few days had been a rollercoaster for you, with all the guessing and expectations and disappointments. But now, you were feeling much lighter, much happier. The good days with Sunghoon were all you could think of, playing back in flashes—the sound of his laugh in your space, the weight of his arm over your waist in the morning, the smell of his skin at night, the way he always left the bathroom mirror fogged up because he took ridiculously hot showers.
Tossing your bag onto the couch, you leaned against the door for a moment, smiling to yourself. Sunghoon was nice, but he always drew an invisible line. Not this time. You could tell by the way he held you this morning, the way he was reluctant to part from you, and how he’d asked to hang out with you for lunch—outside, in public. It felt like, for once, you both wanted the same thing. No second-guessing, no mixed signals—you were finally moving the same direction.
Your gaze drifted to the hoodie he’d left draped over the chair, his specs on your nightstand, and the half-empty tumbler beside it—subtle proofs that he’d started leaving pieces of himself behind. You wondered if he even realized it.
And more than that, you wondered where this would go next.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you woke up too early. Way too early.
You groaned into your pillow, rolling onto your back as you stared at the ceiling. It was ridiculous. You’d seen Sunghoon plenty of times before—hung out, spent nights together, and shared more than just passing glances. But the idea of today, of a proper lunch date, had you wide awake before the sun was even fully up. Maybe it was because, for once, you weren’t just meeting up in the comfort of your apartment or his. It would be something different. Something real.
You giggled at the thought, covering your face with your blanket and then flailing your arms and legs.
Admitting that to yourself felt embarrassing, so you dragged yourself out of bed and decided to be productive. If you were going to be up this early, you might as well make the most of it.
A jog around the neighborhood. A quick stop at the store. And before you knew it, you were back in your apartment, unpacking groceries and deciding, on a whim, to actually cook breakfast. When was the last time you did that? You couldn’t even remember.
By the time you arrived on campus, you were still riding the high of a morning well-spent. Your good mood didn’t go unnoticed—your friends picked up on it immediately, teasing you about the extra bounce in your step. You brushed them off with the excuse of getting enough sleep, but they weren’t wrong. Everything just felt lighter today.
Even classes didn’t seem so unbearable. You participated. You took notes. You weren’t counting down the minutes to leave—well, not exactly. But the closer lunchtime got, the more restless you became, checking your phone every so often even though you knew you were the only one keeping track of time this obsessively.
Then, just as you were leaving your last morning class, your phone buzzed.
Sunghoon: Hey pretty. Something came up. I can’t do lunch today. I’m sorry. Sunghoon: I’ll make it up to you later tonight, okay?
Your steps slowed, but you kept moving, staring at the text longer than necessary.
Bummed. That was the best way to describe it. You weren’t mad—plans get canceled all the time, and at least he let you know ahead of time—but disappointment still settled in the pit of your stomach. You took a breath, shook it off, and responded with a simple, It’s fine. See you later.
Lunch with your friends helped a little. You laughed, caught up on random gossip, and even let them drag you to a café afterward. You weren’t dwelling on it. Really, you weren’t.
Until you stepped out of the café and saw him. Sunghoon, standing outside the campus gates. And he wasn’t alone.
Jenna was with him.
You stopped in your tracks, heart lurching in a way you hadn’t felt before. It wasn’t just that he was there, but the way he was standing close to her, the way she was talking, nudging his arm like she had every right to be in his space.
Sunghoon must have felt someone staring at him because he glanced your way and saw you. His eyes brightened in recognition, and he greeted you casually, like nothing was out of the ordinary. But you didn’t even know how to react. Your body moved before your brain could catch up. You walked past him, barely sparing a glance, pretending as if you weren’t close. As if he was just someone you barely knew.
Your friends who saw that were confused, following behind you after quick greetings to both Sunghoon and Jenna.
Tammy caught up to you, nudged your arm, and asked, “Where are you running off to after ignoring Sunghoon like that?”
“I wasn’t ignoring anyone,” you muttered.
“You totally were,” Lily chimed in, linking arms with you as she leaned to speak in a quieter voice. “That’s so fishy. What’s going on?”
You didn’t respond, your mind too muddled to even try and come up with a good answer. As you rounded the corner, your phone buzzed a second later.
Sunghoon: Hey. What was that?
You ignored it, as well as the other messages that followed.
The rest of the afternoon slipped through your fingers in a haze of self-pity. You curled up on the couch, aimlessly flipping through movies, but nothing got your attention. The voices blurred together, scenes passed without meaning. You weren’t devastated. You weren’t heartbroken. You were just... mad. Annoyed that after everything, after how good things had been, this was what it came down to. But getting worked up wouldn’t do anything. So, you forced yourself to let it go.
Or at least, you tried. It was impossible when he kept creeping into your thoughts—his voice, his touch, the way he looked at you just yesterday—like he wanted this as much as you did.
You didn’t even realize you had dozed off until the sound of your phone ringing jolted you awake.
You blinked against the glow of the screen. Sunghoon.
For a moment, you stared at his name, your heartbeat loud in the quiet of your apartment. You could ignore it. You could let it ring out and pretend you were still asleep. You could put an end to this charade, to tell him you were done and sick of it. But you didn’t.
You answered. His voice was gentle, cautious. “Can I come over?”
You should say no. You should end this here and now. Enough is enough. But… “Yeah. Of course,” you said, trying your best to sound normal.
Half an hour later, he was in your apartment, hands on you, lips on yours, familiar and desperate. And, as always, you let him in—physically, emotionally, despite knowing better. You let yourself believe that maybe, for just a little longer, this could be enough.
Afterward, you slipped out of bed, padding into the bathroom to wash up. By the time you returned, the room was dark, the only source of light was coming from Sunghoon’s phone on the nightstand. He was already asleep, his breathing even, his body sprawled across your sheets like he belonged there.
You reached for the blanket to pull it over him when his phone buzzed, the screen glowing against the dim light. Your gaze flickered to it, drawn by instinct.
Jenna calling...
Your chest tightened at the name. For a moment, you just stood there, watching the name flash across the screen before it faded into darkness. You could answer it. You could see what she wanted, hear her voice, and confirm everything you had been trying so hard to ignore.
But you didn’t.
Instead, you climbed into bed, curling up beside Sunghoon, feeling the warmth of his body against yours. You knew what you had to do. Knew that when he woke up, this had to end for good.
But not yet.
For now, while he was still yours—warm, close, familiar—you let yourself have this one last moment. You closed your eyes and pretended everything was okay, even though you knew exactly what tomorrow would bring.
Tumblr media
The next morning, you woke up to an empty bed. The space beside you was cold.
It was over.
The realization hit you like a punch to the gut. You had spent the night convincing yourself that you were ready for this, ready to end things, but the second you woke up to find him gone, the ache in your chest became unbearable.
Tears welled up before you could stop them. You curled into yourself, pressing your face against the pillow, sobbing into the fabric as if that could somehow muffle the sound. This wasn’t supposed to hurt. You weren’t supposed to grieve something that was never really yours. But you did.
You let yourself fall apart, mourning what could have been, whispering prayers into the silence that it didn’t have to end this way.
And then the door creaked open. You gasped, jolting up, eyes red and blurry as Sunghoon stepped into the room, holding your tumbler in his hand.
His brows furrowed at the sight of you, eyes widening in alarm. “What’s wrong?” he asked, rushing to your side, setting the tumbler down before cupping your face and wiping the tears off your cheeks. “Hey—why are you crying?”
You shook your head, unable to form words. He pulled you into his chest, his arms wrapping tightly around you as you sobbed against him. He didn’t ask any more questions. He just held you, rubbing your back, shushing you gently even though he didn’t understand what had you so upset.
After a long moment, you finally managed to choke out, “I thought you were gone.”
Sunghoon pulled back slightly, blinking at you in confusion. Then, to your utter annoyance, he started laughing.
“What do you mean, gone?” he chuckled, shaking his head. “I literally just went to shower and get you some water.”
You smacked his arm, your face burning. “Don’t laugh at me, you jerk!”
“I’m not laughing at you,” he said, though he was definitely still laughing.
Something about his amusement made you snap. Maybe it was the pent-up emotions, or maybe it was the fact that you had nothing left to lose—but suddenly, everything came spilling out.
You confessed it all.
How you weren’t supposed to catch feelings, but you did. How you tried to push them down, to ignore them, but they never really went away. How you had spent so long pretending to be fine with this casual arrangement, knowing deep down that you weren’t. How much it crushed you to think that he was trying to win Jenna back, how much it hurt when he canceled on you, and how stupid you felt for letting yourself get so attached.
Sunghoon stared at you, utterly dumbfounded.
You sniffled, swallowing back the last of your tears. “Well? Say something.”
And then, to your horror, he started laughing again.
Your stomach twisted. “Are you kidding me right now?”
But before you could shove him away, he grabbed your face and kissed you. Hard.
Your breath hitched, but you melted into it, gripping his shirt as he kissed you like he had been waiting for this moment all along. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead against yours, his voice quieter now. “I like you,” he admitted. “A lot.”
You opened your mouth, but he kept going. “You’re fun, you don’t take my shit, and you get me in a way that most people don’t. I’m always looking forward to seeing you. To hearing whatever sarcastic thing you were gonna say next. To just… being with you.”
“Then why—”
“I wasn’t with Jenna because of what you think.” His hands slid down to hold yours, his thumbs brushing over your knuckles. “There was an accident with the exhibit setup, and I had to be there. She just happened to walk out with me.”
Your eyes narrowed. “And the part where you’re trying to get back with her?”
Sunghoon made a face. “Where did you even hear that?”
You hesitated before mumbling, “A mutual friend.”
He huffed. “Why didn’t you just ask me?”
“I don’t know!” You did, but you weren’t about to admit that you didn’t want to seem like you were expecting too much from him—like you were demanding something that was never part of your deal.
Sunghoon sighed, squeezing your hands. “I don’t know where you got that idea, but I only have eyes for you.” His lips quirked. “Yeah, maybe I didn’t realize how much I liked you at first, but ever since we started this, I haven’t thought about anyone else.”
Your heart stuttered.
Then he smirked. “I thought we had an understanding. Did we really need a label for it?”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Right. Labels are overrated.”
Sunghoon kissed you deeply, and this time, you returned it with the same amount of sweet abandon. Then he pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against yours, his breath warm against your lips.
“I’m all yours, baby,” he murmured. “And right now, I’m wondering if you’d wanna be mine too.”
You let out a sharp breath, your chest tightening at his words. For a second, you just stared at him—his dark eyes searching yours, his expression completely open, completely vulnerable.
Then you scoffed, shaking your head with an exasperated laugh.
“For fuck's sake, Sunghoon.” You squeezed his hands, tugging him just a little closer. “I’m already yours.”
His lips crashed into yours before you could say anything else, stealing the last of your breath, and this time, you didn’t hold anything back.

any quinn and bug thoughts you could share?
always!!! so there's been a little bit of chatter about nicknames in the discord, and it got me thinking about bug and her's... because at this point, is it even a nickname anymore? 😅
By the time Bug was three, she was exclusively called Bug. It wasn’t just a nickname anymore — it was basically her name. Quinn, you, her grandparents, her uncles, even the guys on the team — everyone called her Bug. It was what she heard the most, what she responded to, what she’d been called since the moment Quinn first held her in his arms, tiny and new and already his Bug.
One afternoon, while you were curled up on the couch, watching Bug toddle around the living room, you casually mused aloud, “maybe we should start using her real name every once in a while — just in case she actually thinks her name is Bug.”
Quinn, sprawled out beside you, barely looked up from where he was idly spinning his wedding band around his finger. He just huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head, completely confident.
“She knows her real name, baby."
You glanced over at him, unconvinced, then back at Bug, who was currently squatting beside her pile of stuffed animals, lining them up in a meticulous little row.
“You sure about that?” you asked, tilting your head.
“Positive.” Quinn didn’t even hesitate. “Bug,” he called.
Bug, who was humming to herself as she carefully adjusted the angle of one of her bears, perked up at the sound of his voice.
You gave Quinn a pointed look, arching a brow, and he just smirked, smug as ever.
“See? She knows her name.”
You blinked at him, unimpressed. “Quinn. You literally just called her Bug.”
The smirk faltered. Just a little.
He hadn't even realised he’d called her by her nickname. It was just so normal for him, second nature, the only name that ever felt right coming out of his mouth.
His Bug.
You fought back a grin, shifting to rest your chin on his shoulder.
“She’s never gonna respond to anything else if we don’t use it,” you pointed out, amusement lacing your voice.
Quinn just scoffed again, undeterred. “She knows it,” he repeated, still as confident as ever, then leaned down, pressing a kiss to your hair before adding, "she’s just... also Bug.”
You hummed, unconvinced, but let it go — for now.
Later that afternoon, Quinn found himself in the kitchen, sleeves pushed up, peanut butter knife in hand, absently spreading it onto a slice of bread. The house was quiet except for the occasional clatter of wooden blocks in the living room and Bug’s soft hums of concentration.
He wasn’t really listening, just catching snippets, half paying attention as she stacked and restacked, muttering something about how "the bear has to be in the middle" — some toddler logic that made perfect sense to her. Cub was napping, the house had settled into that peaceful lull that only ever happened in the middle of the day, and Quinn figured, why not test it out?
So he called her name. Her real, legal name.
Nothing.
She didn’t even flinch. Just kept stacking her blocks, laser-focused, completely unfazed, like she hadn’t even heard him.
Quinn frowned, wiped the peanut butter off his fingers, and tried again — louder this time.
Still nothing.
He paused, sandwich half-made, knife hovering over the bread, stomach sinking just a little. Why wasn’t she responding? Bug always responded. She was never quiet, never still. She was a constant hum of chatter and movement, always filling the space with her little voice.
But now? Silence.
He set the knife down, already stepping away from the counter, craning his neck toward the living room.
"Bug?" he called, voice sharper now, eyes flicking toward her. "You alright, baby?"
Immediately, she perked up, twisting around so fast her curls bounced, eyes bright, completely unbothered, like she was only just now realising he was even talking to her.
"Yeah, daddy?"
And Quinn just… stood there.
Because hours ago, he’d been so sure. "She knows her real name," he’d told you, confident, amused, brushing off your concern like it was ridiculous to think otherwise.
But now? Now he was staring at his daughter, at the way she blinked up at him, waiting, unaware that he’d been calling her for the past minute. Because she hadn’t thought he was talking to her. Because in Bug’s little world, Bug wasn’t just a nickname. It was her name.
Quinn squinted, rubbing a hand over his jaw, like he was trying to work something out. Just to be sure.
“What’s your name, baby?”
Bug beamed, sitting up a little straighter.
“Bug!” she chirped, like it was the easiest question in the world.
Quinn let out a slow breath, nodding slowly. “Right. That’s what I thought.”
Yeah. You definitely had a point.

not to me
for @steddielovemonth inspired by the quote “I’ll take care of you” “it’s rotten work” “not to me. Not if it’s you”
rated t | 947 words | cw: injury recovery | tags: pre-relationship, post-Vecna, friends to lovers, getting together, first kiss, disabled Eddie Munson
👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️👨🏻‍🦽‍➡️
“Fuck!” Eddie yells as he throws his hands up in frustration.
He’s been trying to stand on his own for days now, and the furthest he’s gotten is pulling himself most of the way up. His legs shake. He falls back down.
Repeat again until he finally isn’t even strong enough to get himself upright.
Wayne’s always home, but he doesn’t watch. At least he doesn’t let Eddie know if he is. But he’s home in case Eddie ends up hurting himself or falling onto something other than his bed or the couch.
Steve’s come by a few times, offering to be a steady body to hold onto. He doesn’t accept the offer. Usually, he jokes that Wayne’s the only man he’s ever trusted and distracts him with something else.
“Alright, Ed?” Wayne calls to him from the kitchen.
“Fine!” Eddie calls back because he doesn’t want Wayne to come into his room and see him splayed out in his bed while his walker is still unused by his bed. He glares at the wheelchair in the corner of the room.
The doctors said he’d be in it for a long time, maybe months, but he’s determined to prove them wrong. They also said he wouldn’t play guitar again, but he was already able to play most of the chords.
He hears a car pull up outside and he just knows it’s Steve. Of course he would come over now.
The car door opens and closes.
The front door opens and closes.
Wayne greets him like he’s an old pal and he kind of is. It’s a little weird how close they’ve become since Eddie woke up, but whatever.
There’s a knock on his bedroom door before it opens.
Closes.
Steve looks nice. Not dressed up, necessarily, but he’s wearing his good jeans and a new polo. His hair is done a little less carefree, more like he actually went through the phases of blow drying it, putting product in it, and then showing up here to drive Eddie and his unrequited crush crazy.
He smells nice, too.
“Is that a new cologne?”
“It’s not new, I just only wear it for dates.”
Eddie’s heart sinks. It shouldn’t.
Not only is Eddie a man, but he’s also weird. And, at this current time, he’s pretty much bedbound or being pushed around in a wheelchair.
Steve’s a good guy, but he isn’t gonna waste the good cologne on visiting Eddie.
“Oh. Where you taking her? Movies? Dinner?” Eddie sits up so he doesn’t have to look up at Steve. His mind starts to wander to other reasons Steve might be above him, but luckily, Steve answers before he gets carried away.
“I’m taking you to my place,” Steve replies simply.
“I thought you were going on a date?”
“I am. I’m taking you to my house.”
“No offense, but I’d rather not sit alone at your house while you’re on a date,” Eddie snorts. “Is this because Wayne’s leaving in the morning for a weekend trip? I swear I’ll be fine on my own. Dustin’s coming by tomorrow anyway.”
“Eddie.” Steve takes both of his hands. “I’m taking you to my house for a date. You and me. On a date. I’m making dinner for us and I thought you could help me make a character sheet.”
Eddie must’ve fallen and hit his head. He must’ve blacked out. Wayne will be so pissed that his independence has landed him in the hospital again.
“You’re saying words to me. I hear them.”
Steve groans. He lets go of Eddie’s hands and cups his face instead.
“Wayne said this would be difficult.” He rubs his thumb against Eddie’s cheek, smirking. “You’re awake. You’re alive. I’m really here in front of you. I’m asking you to come to my house so I can charm you and maybe kiss you at the end of our date. And then you can stay at mine, but there’s no expectations. I have the guest room made up for you.”
“This is crazy. You realize this is crazy?” Eddie squeaks. “You’re not even gay!”
“I’m a little gay,” Steve laughs. “And I really like you.”
“But-“ Eddie turns to his wheelchair. He’s definitely gonna need it to get outside and then back inside Steve’s house. And then he’ll probably need help getting upstairs to the guest room, or Steve’s room if he’s lucky. “You’ll have to help me. For a long time maybe. The doctors might have been right on this. I can’t even stand, let alone walk. And I’m miserable about it. What you walked in on was my 28th attempt at getting up to use my walker today and I’m no closer than I was on day one, attempt one. It’ll be a lot of fucking work, taking care of me.”
“Not to me. Not if it’s you.”
Eddie’s speechless for quite possibly the first time in his life.
“Can I kiss you?”
Eddie nods once. Steve beams at him, like he’s given him the best gift he’s ever received.
He gets lightheaded almost immediately. Steve’s lips are gentle against his, full of so much tenderness and love. It’s almost more than he can handle.
Eddie chases his lips as Steve pulls away.
“Don’t stop,” Eddie whines.
“I’m gonna take you home. We’re gonna have a date. And then we’re gonna kiss again. Let me treat you right, though,” Steve says and winks.
“You stop that. I can’t handle your winking.”
Steve laughs, kisses him again. He leans back and claps his hands together.
“Alright, let’s get you in the chair so we can get home. Dinner’s gonna take about an hour to make.”

teach me? // Quinn Hughes
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a drunk conversation leaves your best friend wondering.
AN: based off this anon, this is the first of a few ideas i have for this topic so enjoy part one!🫶🏻
WC: 1.1k
CW: smut, quinn talks you through it, fem masturbating, a little bit of possessive quinn.
Tumblr media
Quinn knows he should leave, he knows he shouldn't break your trust and listen but his feet won't move. He can hear your giggles, not a sign of discomfort in the conversation. A drastic difference from anytime you've been around the guys when these topics are brought up.
“y/n! Are you telling me you’ve never gotten off?!” There was another laugh, he couldn't tell who. Too focused on your answer. How could no one treat you right? No one’s found pleasure between your thighs? Tragedy for them, he thought to himself.
“Oh my god, no. I have gotten off, just not manually? If that makes sense. Like, no one else. No hands, nothing but the handy dandy vibrator.”
He needed to leave, his mind wandering and he knew all the guys would just chirp at him if he walked back with a hard on.
Tumblr media
Everyone started to slowly make their way to bed, calling it a night yourself around 1:30. Your room right across from Quinn’s. You knew he was already locked away, trying your best to stay quiet while you were in and out of the bathroom that shared a wall.
Finally settling in your bed and grabbing your phone, seeing a text from Quinn. Come here, please. Followed with another text, Don't knock, just come in.
“Hi Q.” He was quick to pat his bed, “I need to ask you something, and you can tell me no or to fuck off and I wont ever bring it up again. I just, I need to ask.” You nodded at the man, who's now pacing. “I’m telling on myself and I'm sorry in advance. I was walking by when you and the girls were chatting and somethings been stuck in my head since and it makes me feel so bad because you absolutely don't deserve that kind of shit treatment. Oh god, I'm rambling. Anyways, no one ever made you cum? I can show you, oh my god I need to shut up.”
Your face was flushed, your nerves were setting in. Did Quinn just offer to get me off?
As if he could read my mind, “I don’t have to do it! I can just tell you what to do. Like you get yourself off and I just kind of lead the way.”
“You wanna teach me how to make myself cum?” Your voice was small, he was sure if he wasn’t staring at you he wouldn’t have heard. He nodded.
“Yeah, okay. Teach me, Quinny.”
Tumblr media
That dumb conversation led you here. On his bed, pj shorts on the floor, legs spread and Quinn watching you from his desk chair.
You were both giggly about it. The nerves settled, it seemed a little funny, silly even. But he's your best friend. Who cares? All bad thoughts went away the second your legs spread and the man's eyes went a little wide, pupils blown as he watched your hand roam down your body.
“Fuck. You’re pretty.” He whispered to himself.
This wasn't sexy, well it wasn't meant to be, at least to your brain.
“Uh, like this?" you asked, a little embarrassed. "Fuck, this is stupid."
You were against his pillows, unable to fully look at Quinn who was still at his desk, starry eyes watching you intently.
Your hand was down the front of your body, shaky fingers searching for something you shared you'd never been able to achieve on your own.
Quinn adjusted himself, his growing cock pressed against the fabric of his shorts. Forever wishing he put on boxers before you came to his room.
He didn't know the rules when it came to getting yourself off in front of your best friend. So he kept it a little light, laughed breathily and asked, "Are you even touching your clit?”
His words ran through you, a simple question truly but it was bordering on the dirty talk you desperately craved to come from his mouth.
You squirmed, shrugging, but he was watching your hand move, content with seeing your fingers moving through your folds.
"I think so?" you claimed. "I don't know. It's just, it's too wet to feel anything really."
Quinn felt his breath get stuck in his throat.
You finally looked up at his face and watched his cheeks burn, wondering if he'd move closer if you asked him to.
You dont know what fell out of your mouth, your brain is just on autopilot. Quinn’s now at the edge of his bed. Hands holding your ankle, rubbing softly.
"No, I know. fuck, um-" Quinn swallowed, shifting again. "Move in circles, be a bit softer. Fuck, sweetheart. Yeah, you'll feel it."
So you did, two fingers exploring slowly, up and down between your folds, moving a little higher until you reached the spot he was just picking on you for, the pads of your middle and pointer touching a little bump that made your breath hitch.
“There you go, just like that.” He spoke.
You laughed to yourself, feeling stupid, and floaty, searching for that high. You crinkled your nose, as you did slow circles, soft and shy.
"Oh," you mumbled, mouth parting slightly. Still watching Quinn. He pressed his lips together, eyes flickering from your hand to your face.
"Yeah? Does that feel good?"
"Uh huh, feels good."
You thought you heard him let out a groan.
"Will I come?" you asked, still feeling small. "If I keep doing this?"
You were squirming again, moaning softly, chasing your high. He was watching you, open mouthed.
He was too far gone to try and hide it anymore, when he dragged his palm over himself, you moaned, eyes following his movements.
"Yeah, fuck. just keep doing that. Do what feels good, okay?" voice hoarse and wrecked, "you're doing so good, baby."
The praise made your hips lift from the bed a little, fingers moving down a little further, confidence building as Quinn kept rubbing over his cock, "Holy shit, that's fucking hot. You gonna show me how tight you are?" he croaked.
"Uh huh", head tipped back into the pillows. you wanted him to keep talking. You just didn't know how to ask him.
Your foot slipped, bumping into Quinn’s arm and he caught your ankle, wide palm wrapping around as he held you, making you shiver. "Oh, there you go," he murmured. "That's it, baby. Fuck, you're so good. Gonna have to stretch you out more if you ever want me in there, baby. Fuck. Can't believe you're gonna let me watch you cum. Gonna be a good girl and show me how bad you want it? Won't ever need anyone else after this. Just me and you."

YES YES YES IVE NOTICED THIS BEFORE!!!! the reverse is also true: chara calls asgore dad, but toriel is just toriel. both have a parent theyre closest with
that does make me think tho like. frisk seems to me like he would either call both parents just by their name or call both mom and dad. not pick one and leave the other. hes shown to be more considerate of the residents of xtale in later timelines than chara, whos grown much more disillusioned, hateful, and violent. chara has way fewer problems treating people more poorly because in his mind the end justifies the means and as long as the goal hes working toward is noble (which. it at first is but later twists into something completely different. but i think he still considers it noble and the "best outcome for everyone" and thats ahat matters most to him) any horrible thing he does is completely fine. hes playing on the same battlefield as xgaster, after all, so he has to adopt his same tactics. frisk, though also shown to have grown more hateful and violent and disillusioned, shows a lot more hesitation in using and/or hurting the residents of xtale.
anyway, all that to say that he just doesnt rlly strike me as the type of guy to just exclude one parent, especially if it hurts/saddens them. like i could be completely wrong and hes just got a preference contrasting charas bc siblings, but. idk.
bc chara not calling toriel mom immediately makes me think of timeline III. the timeline right after the one where chara got the father figure he yearned for. it was the first timeline to use underswap as a base instead of the original timeline. in the episode, we see both frisk and chara sitting in toriels lap. frisk is chatting happily with her, but chara looks livid
i wonder if chara refuses to call toriel mom because she hasnt been the mother he knew for so, so long. she doesn't even know it. and swap toriel taking asgores role and some if not all of his personality (depending on the interpretation), it probably felt to chara like she was trying to replace asgore. a shoddy stand in, smiling at him almost in mockery as he has to mourn the death of his father alone because noone except for him, frisk, xgaster, and alphys even know he died. for all the other residents of xtale, that series of events never happened.
toriel asks him whats wrong and he has to fight the urge to snap at her, to yell at her that she knows. she knows and shes mocking him. that shell never be him. that she shouldnt have ever dared to do something like this so close to his death. and he only barely holds that all in because he knows shes not doing this on purpose. she doesnt know what happened. she didnt ask to be remade in someone else's image. she doesn't even know she has been
the whole situation fuels his hatred of xgaster more, because now more than ever he feels like hes being toyed with. first it was just the world. just seeing what changed. and then one of the most precious things to him was taken from him by the very man who promised him the world, a marionette facsimile dangling by strings from the claws chara couldve sworn he didnt always have.
and again, its not toriels fault. but it leaves such a strong impression on him that she forever changes in his eyes. shes no longer the loving mother. shes someone who doesnt belong, someone he doesnt recognize as his own. she changed from who she was when she WAS his mom, all the way back in timelines I and II, and the mother he loved is dead. gone. erased. irreplaceable. and no matter what xtoriel does, chara can never bring himself to call her mom again
and, on the contrary, he latches to asgore hard. because hes also changed, hes not exactly as he remembers him, but hes back. hes alive. hes still asgore and hes still his father and he missed him so much. he doesnt care about the smaller details, nothing matters except the fact that his father is back. that the man who gave him hope and support and company when he felt so crushingly lonely under the weight of losing his world is back, and that means chara isnt alone anymore. hes not hopeless. and he holds to that tiny hope as tight as he can

#i could probably try to analyze why frisk prefers toriel based on like?? associated traits. idfk#i havent slept i just spent like 6 or 7 hrs cleaning my fridge 😭😭 im exhausted#but god do i love talking abt xtale#this is actually the first time ive really considered how mocking timeline III was. esp to chara#having his father killed and knowing he wont ever come back bc the man who controls his world has decided he must become someone else#and taunted by someone who has been made his replacement without even knowing it. someone who has his mannerisms and his quirks#and his interests but its *not* him and the whole world just feels so completely wrong. everything he knew is gone and yet...#its also right in front of him#and then its all torn away yet again as xgaster overwrites faster than ever#chara doesnt even get an adjustment period or anything. he has not grown to know this world like his own#and he doesn't even get a chance#yknow. during the xevent i doubt chara had much uhh. positive interacion with cross. but.#i wonder if his sneering and teasing and complaining just grinds to a halt sometimes because something cross said sounds so much like his#(charas) life. he will never admit it#but he sees a bit of himself in cross. or a lot of himself actually. theyre pretty similar in several ways#and though he would usually be quick to make fun of cross mo matter what he says#he just cant help but remember the anger and the despair and the fear that gripped him back then and he just.#lets cross be for a while. he has no words to offer. not that hed know how even if he did. he cant offer much in terms of physical comfort#not that he ever would#but he recognizes that pain and for a brief moment remembers who the enemy is and what hes fighting for#what awaits him if he wins. why he HAS TO win#and for a second he remembers wishing for someone who could take away his suffering even temporarily#and in a quet and solemn moment he just. lets cross weep over the world forever gone#and pretends he himself isnt thinking of a home he year s for just as bad#anyway i almsot passed out like six times wroting this. im genuinely starting to see shit lmao#hopefully the tags wont get deleted.....#finking#rebog

Buck had noticed your change in demeanor from the first two dates. He thought things had been going well but he’s starting to second guess himself.
He starts to think that maybe he had worked up this idea that things with you could be end game. I mean it was only your third date and he was already thinking of engagement rings.
He had been scolded by each member of the team and his sister when he asked Chimney which ring shop he went to. They all told him to slow his roll and not to get ahead of himself. Though they were excited for him and his new situationship, they didn't want him to get too ahead of himself.
He wonders if maybe you had noticed that he was beginning to really have feelings for you. Maybe now you had found him creepy or too pushy or too needy. Was he texting you too much? Was he asking to see you too much? Had he made you uncomfortable and now you were trying to figure out how to break things off already?
Then he remembered a joking comment from Eddie on yesterday's shift. He had been discussing the movie you picked out for both of you to see and that he was really excited to spend more time with you.
"How long have you guys been seeing each other?" Eddie had asked.
"We've been talking for a little over a month but it's officially our third date." Buck replied, buttoning his shirt up.
"Ooh, third date? You know what that means." Eddie wiggled his eyebrows. Buck knew he said it to be funny but now Buck wonders if you maybe live by the ridiculous rule of sleeping together after the third date.
What if you’re expecting sex tonight? Or what if you’re freaking out about him wanting sex tonight? Or what if you don’t want sex with him at all, ever?
Buck can feel himself sweating through his shirt in the very well air conditioned movie theatre. He’s glad it’s somewhat dark or he’s sure you could see the sweat beads rolling off his forehead. He knows you very well may be able to see him as he can see your face clearly in the light from the screen.
You’re quieter today. Face bright under the movie lights with a small smile that has a hint of nervousness in it. The popcorn bowl is still quite full and candy boxes unopened despite both of you stating you loved movie snacks.
You spend the entire movie silent and rigid in your seats. Your hands found each others' the first two dates. The first time over the table at dinner and the second time on the car console on your way to the beach. Now, they lay in your lap and his on the arm rests. You're itching to hold his hand but you're just too nervous about the secret you're holding in.
Buck knows he has to confront you kindly after the movie about what’s going on and hopefully reassure you he’s not in this just for sex. So as you’re both finally leaving the theatre, the last ones, he goes to speak when you do first. “That was a good movie, right?”
“Yeah, yeah. I enjoyed it.” He smiles, hands in his pockets as you stand in the cold, face illuminated by the neon lights of the signs out front. Buck cannot remember who was even in the movie, let alone the plot. “Look, I wanted to talk to you about something…” he trails off.
“Oh? Um, yeah sure.” You look around and guide him to a near by metal bench. “Everything okay?”
Internally, you’re spiraling. You know you haven’t been acting normal tonight but you hoped that he would just ignore it. You’ve only known him for a few short weeks but you know parts of him by now. You know Buck has a habit of overthinking things so you’re sure he’s picked up on it. You’re wondering if somehow he knows your secret.
“I know it’s our third date and there’s this like third date rule that people follow. I just want you to know that I’m not expecting anything from you. I hope that’s not why you’ve been quiet all night. I know we’re still getting to know each other but I hope you know that I would never try to pressure you into doing something you weren’t comfortable with.” Buck rambles, hands flexing and squeezing on his thighs. He can feel sweat accumulating on his palms and he realizes he hasn’t even looked at your face since he started talking.
When he looks up, your eyes are slightly glossy and he’s not sure what he’s said to make you…upset?
“Y/n…”
“I have a daughter!” You blurt. When you search his face for any sort of information on how he’s feeling about this news, you’re met with furrowed brows, mouth slightly agape, and silence. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have yelled it out like that. All night I’ve been trying to figure out how to tell you. It’s the third date and yes I’m aware of the third date rule but I of course know you weren’t trying to sleep with me. I just figured the third date is either make or break and it was time for me to tell you about my daughter. You know, that way you can decide if you want to continue seeing me or get out before it goes any further.”
“What’s uhhhh, what’s her name?” He stutters.
“Her name is Evie. She just recently turned 7. Her father isn’t in the picture but that’s a story for another time.” You wave off. “What do you think? Or like how are you feeling about all this? I'm so sorry I haven't said anything up until now."
“It’s doesn’t change how I feel about you. I’m surprised, sure, but I know you probably kept it a secret for a reason. I can’t imagine it’s easy being a single parent and trying to date.”
“It’s not just that. I don’t want to bring someone around her until I know that it’s serious and it hardly gets to the serious state. I really like you but I was scared this would scare you away. I’m also scared that we’ll get in too deep and you’ll realize you don’t want to be with a woman who has a kid or that the other shoe will drop and you’ll be this horrible evil guy.” You finally grab his hand. "But I know you're not a bad guy."
“Just breathe.” Buck kisses your knuckles. “Breathe, babe. I totally understand where you’re coming from. We'll take this as slow as you want. Your daughter comes first and I want to be part of your life and eventually hers if you'll let me."
"You're seriously so sweet, Buck." You pull him in for a hug. "I don't want to force you to stay or make you feel like you have to be okay with this."
"You're not forcing me to do anything. I really really like you and I want to make this work. I'll be as involved as you'll let me and I'll be patient with you just like you are with me and my job." He rubs your back before kissing your forehead. "Please don't ever scare me like that again, though. I was freaking out the entire movie."
"I'm sorry! I was nervous!" You laugh. "I could barely pay attention to what was happening."
"I don't even remember what movie we were watching." He smiles. "You want to go for ice cream? Or do you have a curfew?"
"Shut up, I don't have a curfew." You push his shoulder. "I could go for ice cream, as long as you're buying."
"I think you should buy me ice cream since you had me on edge all night." He winks. "Come on, milfy."
"Evan!" Your eyes widen as he starts running to his car. "I can't believe you just said that!"

i loooove when ocs unrealized development makes them feel like real people like no i dont know whether talon is genuinely attracted to women after years of both clinging to them for safety and years of putting them onto that untouchable idealized Perfect Protector Pedestal that must remain untainted by any bad experiences, so he doesn't even try to Be With any. He doesn't know either
#like i heart bisexual men so part of me is like no yeah he does like women. he literally loves women#>what if this is just love as general blind devotion solely on the basis of them not being men#we all know he likes men without much of what would be societal shame but he still grapples with it in that personal way#in the if i like men it means i like them despite what happened to me -> i secretly like what happened to me way#talon like i like men and women but i could never spend my eternal life with a man. as a way to just focus on one thing (finding said women#instead of letting himself think about anything else at all#oc text#ill let it float into my mind but idk because this would mess up his original plot before i kept him#though tbh i want to keep keeping him idk if ill ever let him go back home ykwim. long gone concept at dis point he's mine now. ours#talkys#also this makes things more interesting too in the way of#well it was previously thought that talon has a great interest in [smunker] because of smunkers Body#a sort of unintentional and subconscious rejecting of [smunker's] gender and seeing him#as not a man#now its like. what if its not that. it rly is just sole attraction to men because well al is also a pretty feminine guy#views challenged because no‚ men one way (bad) and women another way (good)#but theres TWO guys here who exhibit femininity so he's like wait hold onnnnnn waittttt#that subconscious conflict still exists though in the fearing al (at first) due to his body and both terrorizing and clinging to [smunker]#because of his#the terrorizing because talon sees his original self in smunker (weak and youthful‚ cherubic‚ naive)#theres so many layerssss#anyway yes. loving women as in of course i love women. beautiful and they keep me safe#but not in any way further than that... i love them i can and will kiss them and do much more but it doesnt feel The Same#i dont think i actually even have any fully gay guy characters [EXCEPT MAYBE THE SELF? LMAO IDK] bc i love bisexual men so much#groundbreaking...#wait sorry more oc rambling this actually would also make sense too because how i imagine talon with women is exaggerated#complete personality change to be pleasant and pliable and you can do whatever you want to me#when its also known that the reason he ''acts out'' with al and [smunker] is because he feels safe enough to drop any and all masks to do s#hmmmmmmmm i must keep thinking

Sweet Talk

Paring: College!Jimmy Uso x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 5k
Summary: Two roommates— You and Jimmy—find yourselves caught in a whirlwind of tension, desire, and unspoken feelings. What begins as teasing and frustration between you evolves into a night of unexpected intimacy that blurs the lines between hate and attraction.
Tags: enemies to smutville😫, roommates, 18+, p in v, teasing, dirty talking, 9 incher jimmy uso, dickstressing, AND WHATEVER ELSE, ENJOY😋
Tumblr media
You and Jimmy rarely saw eye to eye. It wasn’t that you outright despised each other, but the two of you had a way of constantly butting heads over the smallest things. Maybe it was because you were both stubborn, or maybe it was because neither of you ever backed down from an argument. Either way, there was always a tension between you—one that never seemed to fade no matter how much time passed.
Both of you were college students, navigating your own paths, yet your lifestyles couldn’t have been more different. You poured yourself into your studies, determined to excel in every class, while Jimmy had an almost single-minded obsession with football—both playing it and watching it. If he wasn’t on the field, he was glued to the screen, yelling at players who couldn’t hear him or analyzing plays with the kind of intensity most people reserved for final exams.
When he wasn’t fixated on football, he’d be locked in his room, spending hours on whatever video game he and his twin brother, Jey, were obsessed with that month. It was almost impossible to get a word in when he was deep in competition mode, his focus unwavering as he trash-talked through his headset. Sometimes, it felt like college itself was just a background noise in his life, something he did because he had to—not because he cared.
But despite all of that, you knew Jimmy was smart. In fact, he was one of the smartest people you knew, even if he didn’t always act like it. He had a sharp mind, a quick wit, and an ability to break things down in a way that made even the most complicated subjects seem simple. The problem was, hardly anyone ever got to see that side of him. He didn’t apply himself the way he could have, and more often than not, he played the role of the carefree guy who only lived for football and video games.
"I'm not going. I got lab tomorrow," you said into your phone, shifting against the pillows as you tucked yourself deeper into bed.
Bianca groaned dramatically on the other end. "Girl, you always busy! Every time I call, it's the same thing—lab this, assignment that. And don’t even get me started on how you be stuck in that house with Jimmy all the damn time."
You rolled your eyes, even though she couldn’t see you. "First of all, I am not stuck with Jimmy. We just happen to live in the same space. Not like I have a choice."
"Uh-huh, sure. And yet, every time I ask you to come out, you got an excuse, and he's always somewhere in the background, being annoying," Bianca shot back. "One day, imma just pull up and kidnap you, no warning."
You laughed, shaking your head. "And do what? Drag me out in my pajamas? Not happening."
"Don’t test me. I’ll snatch you right up, bonnet and all," she teased. "Seriously, though. You need a break. When’s the last time you had fun? Like, actual fun. Not school, not arguing with Jimmy—fun."
You hesitated, chewing on your lip. It had been a while since you let loose, but between school, deadlines, and dealing with Jimmy’s daily antics, going out just felt like another task on your already overflowing to-do list.
"Exactly," Bianca said, as if she could hear your thoughts through the phone. "Look, just think about it. Even geniuses like you need a night off."
You sighed, glancing toward your closed bedroom door, where you could still faintly hear Jimmy and Jey shouting at their game. "I’ll think about it."
"That’s what you said last time," Bianca huffed. "I ain't falling for it again. You better show up, or I will come get you."
You smiled, shaking your head. "We’ll see, B. We’ll see."
She let out an exaggerated groan but didn’t push it further. "Fine, but don’t think I’m letting this go. I’ll call you tomorrow, and you better give me a yes."
"Goodnight, Bianca," you said, smirking.
"Mmhm, whatever. Goodnight, miss I got lab."
You hung up, staring at the ceiling with a small smile. Maybe she had a point.
Your stomach let out an impatient grumble, loud enough to make you sigh in frustration. You hadn’t eaten in hours, and at this point, there was only one thing that could fix it—a slice of your favorite vanilla cake with extra whipped cream. The thought alone was enough to get you out of bed, pushing aside your tiredness as you made your way down the hall toward the kitchen.
The house was quieter than usual, with only the faint hum of the refrigerator and the distant noise of the TV from the living room. Normally, Jimmy would be in there, glued to whatever game had his attention for the night, but the lack of his usual shouting made you pause. Maybe he had finally gone to bed for once? That would be a miracle.
But as soon as you stepped into the kitchen, that hope vanished.
Standing by the open fridge, fork in hand, was Jimmy—mid-bite, chewing your cake like he didn’t have a single care in the world. Wearing a fitted black shirt with yellow shorts that showed too much thigh.
You stopped dead in your tracks, your brain needing an extra second to process the sheer disrespect of what you were witnessing.
"You gotta to be fucking wit' me," you said, your voice flat.
Jimmy turned his head slowly, fork still in his mouth, his expression completely unbothered. He raised an eyebrow as he chewed, finally swallowing before answering. "What?"
Your arms crossed tightly over your chest as you stared him down. "That was my cake, Jimmy."
He had the nerve to glance down at the plate in his hand, then back up at you with a smirk. "You sure about that?"
You let out an exasperated breath, stepping closer. "Yes, I’m sure. I’ve been thinking about that cake all damn day. It was the last slice!"
Jimmy shrugged, taking another slow, deliberate bite, as if to rub it in. "Was the last slice. Past tense."
Your jaw dropped. "You are actually the worst person I know."
He chuckled, licking a bit of whipped cream off his fork. "Damn. All this over some cake?"
You threw up your hands. "Jimmy, I needed that cake."
"You needed it?" he repeated, clearly amused. "You make it sound like life or death."
"It is!" you shot back. "I’ve had a long day, and all I wanted was to sit down, enjoy my damn cake, and go to bed happy. But noooo, because somebody just had to be greedy."
Jimmy leaned back against the counter, arms crossed, looking entirely too entertained. "Sounds like a you problem. You shoulda got here faster or sum."
"Or you could’ve just not eaten something that wasn’t yours," you snapped.
He shrugged again. "You ain't put yo name on it."
Your eye twitched. "We don’t do that in this house, Jimmy. Because normal people have respect."
Jimmy let out an exaggerated sigh, rolling his eyes as he scooped up a piece of cake with his fork. Slowly, deliberately, he strolled toward you, a smug smirk playing on his lips.
“Here,” he said, holding the fork out in front of you, the fluffy vanilla cake and whipped cream practically taunting you. “You wanna bite?”
Your arms folded over your chest, and you scoffed, giving him a sharp glare. “I’d rather die before I eat off of you,” you shot back, your voice dripping with defiance.
Jimmy chuckled, tilting his head as he took another step closer. “Dramatic much?” he teased.
You held your ground, eyes locked onto his, but the way he was staring at you—intense, playful, like he was daring you—sent a strange shiver down your spine.
He took another step, closing the space between you, his free hand lazily slipping into the pocket of his shorts. He was close now, too close. You could smell the faint mix of his cologne and the sweet vanilla lingering on his breath.
“What’s wrong?” he murmured, voice low, taunting. “Scared you’ll like it?”
Your stomach tightened, but you forced yourself to scoff again, turning your head to the side. “Please, as if.”
Jimmy let out a soft chuckle, lifting the fork slightly. “Then prove it.”
You swallowed, glancing at the fork, then back at him. His eyes held something unreadable—dark amusement, challenge. You could feel your own stubbornness warring with the stupid, undeniable craving in your stomach.
Your eyes flicked back to the cake, the whipped cream looking way too good to pass up.
He smirked, sensing your hesitation. “C’mon, I ain't got all night,” he murmured, voice smooth, teasing.
You clenched your jaw, irritation flaring, but your hunger was stronger than your pride. Damn it.
With an exasperated sigh, you snatched his wrist, steadying his hand as you leaned in. You hesitated for half a second before finally parting your lips and taking the bite off the fork, your tongue barely brushing against the metal.
Jimmy stilled.
Your eyes flicked up to his as you pulled away, chewing slowly, the sweet vanilla and cream melting on your tongue.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
His expression darkened just slightly, his smirk fading into something slower, heavier. His tongue flicked out to wet his lips as he stared at you, watching the way your lips closed around the fork before you finally pulled back.
Something about the look in his eyes sent a heat crawling up your neck, your stomach twisting in a way that had nothing to do with the cake.
You swallowed, shifting on your feet. “Happy now?” you muttered.
Jimmy’s smirk returned, slow and knowing. He tilted his head, his voice dropping an octave.
“Could’ve just said you wanted a taste,” he murmured.
Your breath hitched, but you quickly covered it with an eye roll, shoving his wrist away as you stepped back.
“Shut up, Jimmy.”
He let out a low chuckle, his smirk never fading as he twirled the fork between his fingers. His eyes stayed locked on yours, dark amusement mixed with something else—something heavier, something that made your pulse tick faster than it should have.
"You act like you hate me," he murmured, stepping just a fraction closer, his body heat now palpable. "But here you go, eatin' off my fork."
Your throat felt dry, but you forced yourself to roll your eyes. "I was starving, Jimmy. Don’t flatter yourself."
He tilted his head slightly, eyes flickering between your lips and your gaze, his smirk deepening. "Mmm, nah. I think you just wanted to see what I taste like."
Your breath caught, heart slamming against your ribs.
"You are so full of yourself," you muttered, stepping back, but you barely moved an inch before he closed the gap again, this time with purpose.
The air shifted—suffocating, electric. You could hear the faint drip of the kitchen sink, the hum of the refrigerator, but it all faded beneath the way Jimmy was watching you. Like he had all the time in the world to unravel you piece by piece.
"You sure about that?" he murmured, voice low, velvety smooth.
His free hand brushed against your hip—not fully touching, just ghosting over the fabric of your shorts, enough to send a shiver through you.
You should have stepped away. Should have said something cutting, something to kill whatever this was. But your body wasn’t listening.
Jimmy noticed.
His smirk flickered into something darker, his fingers grazing up your waist, featherlight, testing, waiting for you to stop him.
You didn’t.
A slow, knowing hum left his lips. “Thought so,” he murmured, voice dropping even lower.
Your breath came a little quicker, your skin tingling beneath his touch. Your body was betraying you, leaning into the heat of him.
His fingers finally landed on your chin, tilting it up slightly, forcing you to meet his gaze. His eyes were unreadable—dangerous, teasing, but there was something else simmering beneath them. Something that sent your stomach twisting in the worst, best way.
"You wanna taste somethin' sweet?" he murmured, his thumb barely brushing over your bottom lip. "I can give you more than just cake."
Your breath hitched, fingers tightening at your sides.
You just stood there. Frozen. Trapped under his gaze.
Jimmy leaned in, slow enough for you to stop him, to push him away, but you didn’t. The warmth of his breath ghosted over your lips, his presence consuming every inch of space between you.
Every nerve was alight, your breath coming shallow and uneven as Jimmy inched closer, the space between you shrinking to nothing. The scent of vanilla and his cologne wrapped around you, thick and intoxicating.
"You gonna stop me?" he murmured, his lips barely brushing against yours as he spoke, his voice low, teasing.
You should’ve. But you didn’t move. You couldn’t.
His thumb dragged over your bottom lip, slow, deliberate, like he was testing you, waiting for any sign of resistance. When he found none, his smirk deepened, and then—
His lips brushed yours.
Not a full kiss, just a whisper of contact, enough to send a sharp jolt straight through you. Your breath hitched, and Jimmy noticed.
"You’re shaking," he murmured, his free hand sliding up your side, fingers grazing your ribs, your waist—barely there, but enough to make your skin erupt in goosebumps.
"I’m n-" You swallowed hard, but the words died in your throat.
He took advantage of your hesitation, closing the distance entirely. His lips pressed against yours, slow at first, testing, teasing. His grip on your waist tightened, pulling you closer, his body heat seeping into you, his hand tracing up your spine like he wanted to memorize every inch of you.
The moment you responded, the moment you gave in and let your lips move against his, it was over.
Jimmy deepened the kiss, his tongue sweeping over your bottom lip before slipping past, claiming your mouth like he had every right to. His grip turned possessive, his fingers digging into your waist as he pressed you back against the counter.
You let out a soft gasp against his mouth, and he groaned in response, swallowing the sound like it belonged to him.
"You taste better than that damn cake," he muttered against your lips, nipping at your bottom lip just hard enough to make your stomach flip.
A shiver ran through you, and your fingers instinctively gripped the front of his shirt, holding onto him like he was the only thing keeping you upright.
"Jimmy, we cant—" you breathed, but it came out weak, needy, nothing like the warning you meant for it to be.
"Shhh," he murmured, his lips trailing from your mouth to your jaw, then lower, grazing the sensitive spot just below your ear. "I got you, baby."
The nickname sent a new wave of heat through you, your body arching into him before you could think twice about it. His hands slid lower, fingers pressing into your hips, gripping you like he had no intention of letting go.
"You still wanna act like you hate me?" he whispered against your skin, his breath hot, his voice dripping with amusement and something deeper.
You should’ve said yes. Should’ve pushed him away. Should’ve told him this was wrong.
But the only thing that left your lips was a soft, breathless whimper.
Jimmy chuckled, dark and knowing.
"Yeah," he muttered, his teeth grazing your skin before he kissed you again, slower this time, deeper. "That’s what I thought."
You knew it was a bad idea, knew you were crossing a line that could never be uncrossed, but still, you couldn’t stop. The feel of his lips against yours, the way he held you close, the pressure of his body pressing against yours—everything felt too good to resist.
You’d always found ways to make excuses, to stay just out of reach. The random times you’d bug him when you needed something opened, pretending it was just too difficult for you to handle on your own. You'd act annoyed, making a big show of how "helpless" you were, even though it was never actually hard. It was just an excuse, a reason to get him close to you. He’d always tease you about it, calling you out on how dramatic you were, but there was a flicker of something else in his eyes when he did, something you’d always ignored or tried to explain away.
Then there were the times he’d bring girls over, just to sit around in the living room, loud and carefree, as if they didn’t matter to him. The jealousy it stirred inside you was a dangerous thing. You’d play it cool, roll your eyes and pretend you didn’t care. But you did. You cared so much that it burned. It wasn’t about them, not really. It was the way he’d be with them—too casual, too friendly, not even a hint of what he shared with you. He’d stay in the living room with them for hours, laughing, talking like you weren’t there, almost like he was flaunting it.
Every time he brought a girl around, he’d still somehow find ways to be around you. He wouldn’t let you slip away completely, not with the way he’d casually touch your arm when passing by, or the way his eyes would seek you out in a room full of people. It was almost like he wanted you to be jealous, wanted to see that spark of emotion flash in your eyes when he paid attention to someone else. But he never made a move on them. Not really. You had to wonder if he was testing you, pushing your boundaries to see how far you'd go. Or maybe, in some twisted way, he was giving you the space to make a move of your own.
Now, there was no going back.
His lips pulled away just long enough for you to catch your breath, his forehead resting against yours as you both tried to steady your racing hearts. His fingers were still tangled in your hair, and his other hand had drifted to your lower back, pulling you closer into him. You could feel the heat of him through the thin fabric of your clothes. You could feel everything.
“You know this is crazy, right?” you whispered, your voice shaky, unsure if you were asking him or telling yourself.
His eyes met yours again, dark and intense, and he gave a small, crooked grin. “Yeah,” he murmured, his thumb brushing over your lip again. “Maybe it’s what we need, ma.”
That was the problem. It wasn’t just about him. It wasn’t just about you. It was about both of you. And maybe you both had always known this would happen. Maybe you both had been waiting for the other to make the first move.
His hand slid up beneath your oversized tee, fingers trailing against your bare skin, igniting a trail of heat in their wake. Your breath hitched, your body reacting to his touch before your mind could catch up. And god—he looked so damn good in those glasses. He rarely wore them, but when he did, it did something to you, something dangerous. It wasn’t just the way they framed his sharp features, or the way they made him look even more intense. It was the way they added to that quiet, confident arrogance of his—the way he knew exactly how they affected you.
Your lips parted, and without even thinking, you bit down on your bottom lip, trying to contain the rush of anticipation flooding through you. His eyes darkened at the sight, his pupils dilating with hunger. A low, guttural moan rumbled from his chest, deep and intoxicating, sending a shiver down your spine.
Before you could process it, he moved—swift, effortless, like he’d done it a thousand times before. His strong hands gripped your thighs, lifting you with no effort at all. You gasped, your arms instinctively wrapping around his shoulders as he set you down onto the cool marble countertop.
He didn’t hesitate. His lips crashed into yours again, hungrier this time, more demanding. His hands gripped your ass firmly, pulling you flush against him, and you could feel every hard line of his body pressing into you. Your fingers tangled into his hair, tugging just enough to earn another groan from him, the sound vibrating through his chest and into yours.
“Fuck,” Jimmy mumbled against your lips, his voice thick with something between frustration and need. His hands roamed your sides, fingers digging into your skin like he was trying to ground himself. Your breaths mingled, heavy and uneven, as your hands moved instinctively to the hem of your shorts, pushing them down until they slipped off your legs and pooled onto the floor.
It had been over a year—too long since anyone had touched you like this. And yet, a single kiss from the one man you swore you couldn’t stand had you wetter than anyone ever had. It didn’t make sense. It was crazy. But you didn’t care.
Jimmy broke the kiss, his gaze trailing down your body until it settled on your yellow lace thong. The way his jaw clenched, the way his eyes darkened—it sent a rush of heat straight through you. You didn’t even have to look down to know how hard he was. His breathing was labored, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he undid his pants, never once breaking eye contact.
“You hate me for real, huh?” His voice was low, teasing, but thick with something deeper, something desperate.
Your eyes locked onto his, and you forced out a soft, defiant, “Mhm.” But it came out as a whimper, betraying the war raging inside you.
His smirk was slow, knowing. “Yeah?”
Before you could say anything else, his pants and boxers hit the floor, and your breath hitched.
Your pulse pounded in your ears, your fingers twitching against the countertop as anticipation curled low in your stomach.
And that’s when you felt it—the hard press of him against you, only the thin lace of your thong keeping you apart. A sharp gasp slipped past your lips, swallowed instantly by his mouth as he kissed you deeper, his hands gripping your thighs, keeping you locked in place. Your fingers curled into his shoulders, nails digging in as a shudder ran through you.
“You still hate me?” he murmured, his voice teasing but rough, his breath hot against your lips.
Your eyes fluttered open, locking onto his, clouded with a mix of defiance and something dangerously close to surrender. “Ye—yeah,” you mumbled, though the tremble in your voice betrayed you.
His smirk was slow, knowing. His grip tightened, his fingers flexing against your hips. “Bet”
Before you could say anything else, he stretched you—slow, deliberate, making sure you felt every inch of his dick claiming you. Your mouth fell open, a soundless moan escaping as your body arched into him. His forehead rested against yours, both of you caught in the moment, breathing each other in.
Your hands clutched at his back, nails dragging along his skin as he pulled you impossibly closer, filling you to the hilt. The heat, the tension, the months of unspoken rivalry and buried longing—it all exploded into something neither of you could stop now.
And you didn’t want to.
Jimmy moved slowly, setting a rhythm that had your breath hitching with every deep, calculated stroke. You were used to men who rushed, who chased their own pleasure without thinking about yours. But Jimmy—he took his time, like he had something to prove. Like he wanted you to feel every inch of what he was doing to you.
A shaky breath escaped your lips as your fingers curled against his shoulders. “J-Jimmy…”
His grip tightened on your hips, his mouth ghosting over the shell of your ear. “What, baby?” His voice was thick, teasing, but there was something raw beneath it.
You swallowed hard, your body betraying you as you arched into him. “I—” Your words faltered, another breathy whimper slipping free as he rocked into you again, slow and deep.
He chuckled lowly, his lips trailing down your jaw, pressing lazy kisses along your skin. “You always talk back, always got somethin’ smart to say,” he murmured, his voice sending a shiver down your spine. His hands slid up your sides, fingertips brushing under your oversized tee. “But look at you now… all quiet for me.”
Your nails dug into his back, frustration bubbling in your chest. “Shut up,” you muttered, your voice barely a whisper.
Jimmy smirked against your skin, his grip tightening. “Nah, you love this shit,” he murmured. “Ain’t nobody ever taken their time with you, huh? Always quick, always rough… but that’s not what you need.”
You bit your lip, refusing to admit how right he was.
He pulled back just enough to look you in the eyes, his expression dark, hungry. “When a man really wanna fuck a woman, he don’t rush it. He wanna feel that pussy. That’s the whole fuckin’ point, mama.”
A shudder ran through you, your breath coming out in short, uneven gasps. He was ruining you, and he knew it.
“Tell me you still hate me,” he whispered, a smirk playing on his lips as he rolled his hips just right.
You wanted to. You wanted to hold onto that last shred of defiance. But all that left your lips was a shaky, breathless moan.
His grip tightened as he leaned in, lips brushing over the shell of your ear. “Say it,” he murmured, voice thick with control. “Tell me you don’t hate me, baby.”
Your breath hitched, every nerve in your body on fire. “I—I don’t hate you, Jimmy,” you panted, barely able to form the words as his dick hit every sweet spot in your body.
He hummed in satisfaction, his hands gripping your thighs, keeping you right where he wanted. “Mmh, I know,” he rasped, his dark gaze locked onto yours. “You just needed some dick, didn’t you?”
Your heart pounded, fingers digging into his shoulders. You didn’t answer, couldn’t. But he wasn’t letting you off that easy. His fingers tilted your chin up, forcing your eyes to meet his. “Say it.”
A soft whimper escaped your lips, your head nodding before you could stop yourself. His smirk deepened, his grip tightening as he watched you unravel beneath him.
The tension coiled tighter, every inch of your body wound up and desperate for release. “Jimmy—Yes…” Your words trailed off into a shaky breath, eyes fluttering shut as the pressure built.
He read you instantly, his voice dropping to a low whisper. “Cum on this dick, baby. I got you.”
And just like that, you shattered, a breathless moan slipping past your lips as your body gave in. He held you through it, his hands steady, his eyes never leaving yours.
“Damn,” he murmured, pressing his forehead against yours as you caught your breath. Jimmy didn’t let up. His grip on you was firm as he pulled you down to your feet, spinning you around with ease. His hands guided you, pressing your front against the counter as his body crowded you from behind.
“Arch that back for me,” he murmured, voice thick with command.
You obeyed without hesitation, your fingers gripping the cool surface as he slid inside of you, teasing, taking his time. Your breath hitched, a desperate whimper escaping your lips.
“Damn,” he groaned, sliding an arm around your waist, pulling you closer. “Knew you just needed me to take care of you.”
Your head fell forward, your lips parting. “Please…”
He smirked at the way the word rolled off your tongue. “Yeah, baby?”
You couldn’t form the words. Your thoughts were a blur, tangled in the heat of the moment.
He chuckled darkly, his fingers trailing down your spine. “Mmh, all that attitude, all that ‘I hate you’ talk—where it at now?”
You bit your lip, trying to hold on to whatever fight you had left, but it was useless. His fingers slid lower, finding your clit with ease. A sharp gasp escaped you, your body trembling under his touch.
“Thought so,” he muttered, his lips brushing against your shoulder. His fingers moved faster as he coaxed you closer to the edge. “And you ain’t done yet, baby. You gonna gimme another one before I let up.”
A desperate whimper slipped from your lips. “Yeah?”
He hummed in satisfaction, his fingers working fast but firm, knowing exactly how to unravel you. “Yeah,” he confirmed. “And you gon’ take it.”
Your body tensed, heat pooling low in your stomach as the sensation built higher, stronger, consuming every part of you.
“Jimmy—” Your voice broke, your grip on the counter tightening as a wave of pleasure crashed over you, leaving you breathless.
A deep groan rumbled from his chest, his arms holding you close as he followed, his breath heavy, his hands still gripping you like he wasn’t ready to let go just yet.
“fffuuuckk,” he muttered, pressing a slow, lingering kiss against your shoulder. “Good girl.”
Your knees felt weak, your breath shaky, but he held you steady, his lips ghosting over your skin as if savoring the moment.
“You still hate me?” he murmured against your ear, his voice teasing, smug.
You let out a breathless laugh, too dazed to even pretend anymore. “Shut up, Jimmy.”
His chuckle was low, knowing. “ight.”
The night unfolded in a blur of tension and connection, each moment between you and Jimmy pulling you deeper into something unplanned. You moved through the apartment together. His dick was inside of you in the living room, slow and intense, his hands exploring with a mix of desire and tenderness. Every room, every new position felt deliberate.
It wasn’t just about the heat between you—it was the quiet tenderness in his touches, the way he’d pull you close, his hand brushing through your hair. With each passing moment, it became clear: this wasn’t a fleeting thing. Whatever had sparked between you two, it was something deeper than you’d expected. And as the night ended, you couldn’t help but wonder where it would lead.

I love your writing! Would you consider writing a short fic where you’re one of Santi’s friends and he sets you up on a blind date with Frankie? Bonus points for Frankie being kind of shy and adorable
Blind Date - Frankie Morales x Reader
Thank you so much for your request!! I really hope this is okay 🩷
Tumblr media
I have a friend. He’s single. You’re single. You’re both recently out of long-term relationships. You can awkwardly return to the dating scene together. But seriously, I think you’ll like each other. How does that sound?
You laughed when Santi sent you that text. But two weeks later, you were pacing anxiously in your kitchen waiting for your cab to arrive. You’d partly agreed to the date to shut Santi up, because you knew he’d complain about your complaining if he’d offered you a way out of the single life and you’d refused, without even giving him a chance. Finding a good man was difficult, so it was worth trying, right?
The cab ride to the restaurant was painful, to say the least. You couldn’t help but question if you were doing the right thing, but Santi was one of the few people you actually trusted, and he wouldn’t have set the date up if he didn’t think you’d actually get along.
Five minutes. This Frankie guy was five minutes late. You tapped your fingers on the table, trying to distract yourself from the fact that he maybe got cold feet himself. But out of the corner of your eye, you see a little bit of commotion near the entrance of the restaurant.
A man has a bouquet of roses in one hand, and the other was messing with the soft curls on top of his head. He looked as thought he’d ran all the way there. He was frantically looking around and trying to catch his breath, while also explaining to the wait staff who he was there for.
Someone’s in trouble, you think to yourself. And then it hits you. Man who looks like he’s supposed to be on a date, also looks like he has turned up late to said date?
Then you hear your name. And a few curse words that he muttered under his breath in embarrassment. You look up, and it’s him.
“Shit. I’m so sorry. I couldn’t get off work. Then I realised I’d forgotten to get you flowers. I hope you like roses.” He said, as you stood up to greet him.
“Frankie? You’re fine. I mean, not fine as in handsome, just fine as in ‘you don’t need to apologise for being late’. Actually, you’re fine as in handsome too, but-“
Disaster. Two seconds in and it was a disaster.
He hands you the flowers and you thank Frankie, before gesturing for him to take a seat in front of you.
“Let’s start over, huh Frankie? We both screwed up there.” You say as you settle at the table.
“Sure, I could take a redo at that”, he laughs and he blushes a little when you laugh back.
You just looked so beautiful. Frankie wished Santi had warned him about that.
The rest of the date went better than either of you could have ever imagined. The chemistry was just as Santi had promised in his myriad of texts to you about it. He knew. He always knew. And you needed to thank him for this one.
Frankie was so pleased with himself, he had you laughing all night. Even in his truck, on the way home. The radio was on, the windows were down, and the conversation was flowing so effortlessly. It was a movie scene straight from a movie that the two of you had no idea was only the first part of many.
“I’d love to see you again,” said Frankie, as he admired the way you looked in the glow of your porch light. “If you feel the same, of course”.
“I feel the same, don’t you worry about that.” You smiled at him and kissed his cheek, which took the poor man by surprise. “Goodnight, Frankie”.
The look you gave him over your shoulder as you opened your front door would be thought about until you graced him with your presence a second time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :D
This is my first time sending something, so....
I would love to know what Vincent would think of a Superhero reader but with a grotesque appearance, with a costume or a rather bloody superpower. However, this reader is very nice to everyone, even those he's supposed to fight. It would be hilarious to see, because he could look like this: ⛓🗡🩸, but act like this: 💖😊🌈.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOOOO EVEN THOUGH I'M SUPER LATE!!
The contrast between niceness and scary appearance would make any villain think this hero reader is some sort of manipulative sadist. And that would include Dr. Seraph… at first. Like in his main story and in other answered ask, the mad scientist would fall for reader if he showed him any form of perceived kindness or attention.
CW: Implied broken arm, horror (for Vincent lol) and yandere behavior
・*:.。..。.:*・*:.。..。.:*・
The electricity had been cut right after Dr. Seraph heard loud screams coming from outside the control room. The emergency alarms were the only thing preventing him from being thrown into complete darkness and with no monitors left to help he was powerless. The new found silence that accompanied the shutdown was deafening, making him regret the din of explosions and blows being exchanged a few minutes ago. He clenched the disc that contained his plan for a new death laser Fatalité wanted him to build. The heroes had definitely broken into the lab to snatch it.
As he paced around, a dragging sound came from the corridor. Vincent froze in place, his gaze newly fixated on the open slide door that left him at the mercy of whatever was outside. Suddenly, someone staggered forward into the room. It’s as if he had been summoned from the darkness itself. Despite his left arm being visibly twisted in an atypical position and dangling freely at his side, a wide smile played on the lips of the intruder. Almost too wide to be reassuring. Based on his appearance Dr. Seraph could guess who this was from word-of-mouth, and he had heard that this person could make any villain shake in their boots.
Normally, he would have begged, stuttered, whimpered, anything if it meant not getting punched in the face or even worse. Yet in that moment he could only stare up at the man in front of him as he got closer, step by step. The hero finally, after what seemed like an eternity, stood face to face with the small mad scientist.
“If you don’t mind I’ll just take that!” He sang in a cheerful voice while taking the disk from the mad scientist’s trembling hand, but noticing his deplorable state the intruder added, “you don’t look well, why don’t take a seat? ” He grabbed a chair nearby and eased Vincent into sitting down, after putting the valuable piece of tech in one of the many pockets of his suit.
The out of character act, from Dr. Seraph's point of view, brought him back to his senses and he looked up at the superhero. Now that he has seen him from up close, his interlocutor had visibly gentle eyes and a smile that didn’t look so uncannily anymore. Even his lips seem oddly soft and… Vincent caught himself before he could let his mind wander further into unknown territories, but still, no hero has ever been this thoughtful and kind to him before. Not to mention that this hero in particular was known for being the most terrifying one… well according to the rumours. Maybe, just maybe Vincent was getting treated well… because he was special in this guy’s eyes?
While the shocked man was still lost in his contradictory feelings, the hero spoke again.
“You know it’s not good for your body to stress yourself like that.” He patted Vincent’s head like he was a harmless citizen, “until we meet again, don’t forget to get some rest!”
The power got back as soon as he finished his sentence and he miraculously disappeared just like the darkness that surrendered them both a moment before.
Vincent sat there staring at the empty space where once stood the particular hero, the worries of having lost crucial pieces of information pushed at the far back of his mind. There was nothing wrong in postponing the initial plans his boss gave him and instead learning more about his Good Samaritan, right? It would all surely come in handy later, as much for him then Fatalité.
・*:.。..。.:*・*:.。..。.:*・
I made it vague so that you can imagine what kind of creepy power the hero reader has!
Also Delulu Vincent is making a comeback! I should really start to emphasize again how good he is at convincing himself that the reader is in love with him.

Synopsis: Sylus has always lived a lonely life, unfamiliar with pleasant company. Being with you again is something he must get used to. He's learning how to, and so are you.
Warnings: Lowkey doesn't make sense because the author is exhausted but wanted to churn something out for you guys. Also mentions of blood. Might be a little angsty.
Author's note: I've gotten busy recently, so I won't be able to write as often. Sorry! I come bearing lowkey dependant Sylus. Comments and reblogs are appreciated! <3
Tumblr media
Throughout his life, Sylus has spent all his time alone. No one would count enemies as company, even if they do trail him and keep an eye on his every move. They were the ones who wanted to see him fall off his throne; cause and spectate his suffering. A walking target. Sure, he had Mephisto and the twins he took under his wing... But could a mechanical bird count as a friend? Or a pair of twins who work directly under him, following his commands? No, that is obedience.
Sylus did not have anyone to call his own. No one to trade secrets with or share his warmth. And in turn it has made him cold, self-reliant, for he cannot trust in another person. He had never learned how. But he takes comfort in the teachings he does know— the ones of his only love. Melodies dance in the air, a comforting tune. He attempts to hum along, taking pride in the fact that he is able to unlike the past. A respite he is allowed to have in this harsh world.
When the both of you are reunited— albeit, unknowingly on your part— Sylus is at a loss. He had thought that you, too, would remember the past just as he did. Yet you stare into his eyes with the guarded malice of a stranger. It is a gaze he should be used to by now. And he is... Just not from you. Where has his beloved's familiar softness gone? Only your fierce claws and teeth remain. Sylus does not know how to fix this. He was never taught to build relationships or tenderly lower defenses with the patience of a saint.
Your relationship is rocky at first; like oil and water. Both of your lives are completely different from the other. With the Hunter Association actively hunting down Sylus, whatever you have with him is illegal. Forbidden. Although... Surely they would not mind if you stuck around? Gathering intel for them could be useful in the future. This is fine, you are simply using him, you are not delusional. Humans have always desired for what they cannot have.
“You're sticking around for intel on Onychinus? Well then, be my guest. Don't be shy when using me.” Sylus's sardonic smile is etched into your mind.
He tells no one that being of use to you is the only way he knows how to keep you close to him.
Be disgusted, you will yourself. Be repulsed, resent him for all he has done and will do. You will only come to regret being so entangled with his life. This is insane and you are supposed to be a good, law-abiding citizen of Linkon. A hunter. Yet you cannot help feeling like prey— engulfed by a predator who kills and comes back to you with blood soaked hands. Most times, even his own. How will you ever learn to hate someone who learned to be vulnerable with you?
Over time, you start to notice that Sylus is quite... lonely. You are the only one who checks up on him, through text or call. The only one who visits, who teases and jokes, who surprises. You, you, you. Comfortable and happy with someone so dangerous. So of course he eventually craves your presence in your absence. Sylus will make up whatever excuse, put himself in any situation, just to be able to spend some time with you. When it ends, he is distraught.
“You're abandoning me when I'm no longer useful to you? Your skill in being heartless is assuring.” His tone is teasing, as always. But his eyes hold a far-off melancholy.
It feels as though your heart has been punctured with shattered pieces of a fragile thing.
“Abandon? You're sorely mistaken. Useful or not, you're stuck with me, you have no other choice.” You reach out, grabbing his hand.
Something new for Sylus to learn; that you will not throw him away when he does not serve any purpose to you. You are his companion— his beloved who cares for and loves him. Not because you owe him or as an obligation. Simply because you do. And you are both still learning. It will be okay. Having each other means neither of you will ever have to face the cruelties of this world alone.

lu and you growing up in the same town and you guys end up at upenn together 😖😖 he has the biggest crush on you and tries to talk to you in one of the cs classes you are in together
oooo stop this is so cute anon 😢😢
so ur in the same bubble growing up but obvi u don’t go to hs together… u still know of each other and have mutual friends.. he wasn’t in the partying scene but u would still see him around and ur always polite and sweet but luigi can barely handle a full convo w/ u like sustained eye contact is actually out of the question… he just thinks ur absolutely gorgeous (like half of his class does too but!!) he looks over ur perfectly curated insta + vsco (remember when everyone had vscos in hs lol), he’s on ur goodreads, he just has a crush!
but then he finds out that you’re also going to upenn! and he has a perfect excuse to talk to you… one night he’s at a graduation party of one of his friends and he spots you… luigi hypes himself up to approach you and ur friends and u smile, ur a bittt tipsy and you laugh into his shoulder, head resting against his bicep casually. luigi says something but the music is so loud so u lean ur ear closer to his mouth and he explains he’s also going to upenn … yes being so close to u does make him tense up but he relaxes instantly when you instinctively rub you hand up and down his bicep like he could actually die… "oh, perfect," you pull away with a sweet smile, "i'll have a friend!” friend :')
okay now fast forward to first day of classes a few months later and luigi is debating whether or not u remember that encounter as he walks into CSCI 2221 and sees you … luigi doesn’t know bc yes he’s been thinking about it all summer but is very aware u prob don’t even remember it…
you spot him quickly, already seated in the lecture hall, you smile and wave and beckon him over to you. your lipgloss is perfect, ur pink fuzzy sweater is killing him, ur perfume is soo sweet, ur nails r a pretty light blue that he likes… "it’s so nice to know someone," you would say, snapping lu out of his thoughts…
he would never ever admit this but he does try to ‘dress up’ for on m/w/f when u have class together (like picture that reunion fit plz) would give u his famous adidas jacket one day in class when it's cold... will ask you questions that he most definitely knows the answers to… melts a tiny bit inside every time you lean over to ask him to clarify something ur prof says…
he’s sooooo nervous like twisting his fingers, twirling his pen a ridiculous amount when he finallyyyy works up the courage to invite you to one of his frats event... and then he’s still a bit worried on ur actual first date + don't even get me started on ur first kiss... or omg when ur hard launch him on ig haha ur the talk of the town back home <3

Does Buggy ever experience injuries being a typical kid or while playing hockey? Dad!Quinn would be such a cutie being a stressed mess worrying about his little buggy
So the thing about Quinn is that he’s not a helicopter parent (anymore). But when Bug was small… yeah, he hovered.
The first time she got properly hurt, she wasn’t even walking yet, just crawling, still figuring out how to pull herself up. She reached for the coffee table, one tiny hand missing the edge, and boom — forehead straight into the corner. Big bruise, big wails, and Quinn? Quinn was devastated. Held her so tight, murmured “I got you, baby, daddy’s got you” over and over while you pressed an ice pack to her head, his own eyes wet, looking personally offended at the coffee table.
Now? Now she’s almost four, and she trips over air. She's always moving, always chattering, always distracted, and then — bam! Face-first into the ground. Quinn’s learned to wait, to gauge the reaction before he reacts. Sometimes she pops back up like nothing happened, other times she milks it, giving him those big, watery eyes that have him scooping her up immediately, pressing kisses to her curls, murmuring, “I got you, baby. You’re okay.”
And with hockey? That’s where it gets tough. Because Bug wants to be a goalie, which means she’s constantly in the way of flying pucks. She’s not old enough for a team yet, but she insists on tagging along to the rink, throwing on mismatched gear and making Quinn take shots on her. And he does — soft ones, gentle ones, controlled.
But the other day, she came with him to practice, sitting on the bench, watching everything with that same serious, locked-in expression she always has at the rink. And when warm-down rolled around? She skated right out onto the ice like she belonged there.
The guys knew the drill. They kept it light, sent her easy passes, made her feel part of it. But then, one of them sent a soft, harmless shot toward the net — harmless, because they all knew Bug was back there, always watching, always involved. It wasn’t even going in.
But instead of letting it pass, Bug threw herself in front of it.
Quinn heard it before he saw it. The sharp thwack of rubber against her arm. The way her little body staggered from the impact.
And just like that, every instinct in Quinn’s body kicked in.
The whole 'wait and see' rule? Yeah, that went out the window. There was no pausing to gauge her reaction this time, no hanging back to see if she’d shake it off or get back up on her own. He was already moving, skates cutting across the ice as his stomach clenched, hands itching to fix whatever had just happened.
But Bug? Bug paused.
She looked down at her arm, then up at Quinn, then back at her arm again, like she was trying to decide if this was something worth making a fuss over.
Quinn was already there.
“Bug, baby, you alright?”
She blinked up at him, wide-eyed, and without a word, held up both arms, bottom lip trembling.
And yeah. Quinn’s heart dropped.
Quinn scooped her up instantly, tucking her against his chest, already peeling off his glove to check her arm. His brain told him it wasn’t serious — just a red mark, nothing more — but his heart still clenched at the sight of it. His jaw tightened, his grip shifting to cradle her closer, like if he held her tight enough, he could absorb the pain himself.
Bug, to her credit, tried to hold it together. But then she saw it — her little arm, blotchy and pink, already bruising — and that was it. A sharp inhale, the beginnings of a sniffle, her bottom lip wobbling and then... full tears.
Quinn felt his stomach twist, already smoothing a hand over her back, rocking her slightly.
“Bug, baby,” he murmured, voice low and warm, meant just for her. “You’re okay. Just a little bump.”
She sniffled again, blinking up at him, eyes glassy.
“It hurts,” she whimpered, tiny fingers curling into the fabric of his jersey.
Quinn pressed a firm kiss to the top of her helmet, the way he always did when she was hurt.
“I know, baby,” he soothed, tucking his chin over her head. “I got you.”
Because that was the thing — he always did. From the moment she took her first steps, to the times she tripped over nothing, to now, throwing herself in front of a flying puck like she was made of steel. She was fine — he knew she was fine — but that didn’t mean he wasn’t wired to react. To scoop her up at the first sign of distress, to comfort, to fix.
Quinn exhaled, rubbing slow, steady circles into her back as she buried herself against his chest. Behind them, his teammates hovered — watching, waiting, like they weren't sure if they should step in or stay out of dad-mode's way.
Bug let out a deep, dramatic sigh after a moment, exhaling into his shirt. “I almost saved it.”
Quinn huffed out a quiet laugh. “Yeah, baby,” he murmured. “Almost.”
Behind them, the guy who took the shot still looked horrified, rattling off a string of apologies. Quinn glanced over, shaking his head.
“She threw herself in front of it,” he muttered, waving him off, adjusting Bug in his arms. “Like, it was going wide, and she just—” He sighed, rubbing a hand over his face, still cradling Bug against him like she was fragile. Like she wasn’t the same kid who ran full speed into walls without blinking. “That’s my kid for you.”
Bug perked up, pulling back just enough to look at him. “I am your kid!” she chirped, like it was the best news she’d ever heard.
And just like that, she was fine.
The tears? Gone. The dramatics? Over.
Quinn just shook his head, exhaling through his nose, “yeah, Bugs. You sure are.”

Ultimate Besties Tournament: Finals

Propaganda below cut
Ragbros (submitted 2 times):
From a storytelling perspective, in a game where the premise is reuniting with your lost sibling, these two are excellent foils as siblings who are technically separated but always within reach of each other. I bet that drives the traveler batty, that these two could technically reconcile at any time but Don’t. If you guys aren’t using your free ‘reconcile with your sibling’ card, then give it to them. And one’s even got connections to Khaenri’ah and the Abyss Order! Are these two good siblings to each other? Well. No not really. But the way they were best friends when they were kids and are now bitterly awkward after Diluc’s fratricide attempt (I know he was in a terrible headspace but cmon man. Should’ve at least apologized afterwards.) yet still hang out even in the beginning of the game (see: hanging out in Venti’s story quest and family vacation in GAA 1) is very entertaining. The mask is off now, Diluc. Do you still care about your brother? Kaeya’s internal conflict is very tasty too, still considering Diluc family even if he doesn’t really count himself a Ragnvindr anymore (if he ever did…), and it’s a wonderful narrative metaphor for his conflict of whether he considers himself a Mondstadter despite loving his second home. Kaeya’s a character with a lot of depth from his origins alone, but his personal relationships with the other Mondstadt characters really elevate that and his internal struggles, and none are as important as the family that welcomed him into Mond in the first place. With the exception of the travelers (and Paimon!), I think this is the most important platonic relationship in the game.
Ragbros angst and love makes the world go ‘round
Redemption Arc (submitted 4 times):
My dickhead son and his plant based alternative mom
She saw that he had good in him despite being a villain; knocked him down to his absolute lowest and then helped him pick up the pieces; The level of unspoken communication between them is so sweet. Ex. Nahida sends Wanderer to various events under the guise of "making sure nothing goes wrong" but actually she's getting him participating in things to get him out of his shell; Conversely I think observing him helps Nahida understand the world/relationships between humans; They're just so cute I love the soft spot Wanderer has for his adoptive mother.; headcanon that he rants about her "annoying" him but 100% would turn around and beat someone up for talking smack about her
Two people who just escaped The Horrors choosing each other as family……… yes please

I'm very new to the world of eltingville, but was hoping if I could get headcanons for the four guys as dads? How they handled pregnancy, if they're a girl dad or boy dad, if they're even a good dad to begin with?? If after the first one would they possibly want more? If this is a lil goofy to ask I don't blame you for not answering but I'm just curios how you would see it
I’m gonna hold your hand when I say that they’d all be dead beat fathers.
Tw: child abuse, unhealthy parenting
Bill hates everything. I cannot see him caring for no kid of his own. If you somehow convince him to stay and be in the picture he’s going to be an abusive father. He will not hold back his anger because he never did before and he sure won’t for this kid. Probably will talk down and try to fight you in front of the kid. “That kid will be soft if you keep coddling it, I’m toughing them up for the real world.” He says as he full on belted this kid for touching his comics.
Josh would be shitting actual bricks when you tell him you’re having his baby. He doesn’t think he could ever be a father even more so he thinks that he is going to have to move out of his mother’s house. He’d be an emotionally absent father. He will take his insecurity out on this poor kid and not be there for them when they are upset or crying. He will deadass hand them over to you when he made them cry because they tried to play with his action figures.
Pete would absolutely leave you to be a single mom. He will see this and think nothing more than an inconvenience. If for some reason you want him to stay he will traumatize your kid. He’s not gonna change career paths, he’s not gonna stop drinking or stop doing drugs, he’s not gonna stop bringing women from work home while you’re at work. He will put every violent horror movie with this kid in the room and make him scared shitless. If that kid starts crying or gets scared he will laugh at them.
Jerry would try to be in the kids life but not give any financial support. His job is professional card gaming at cons. He’s not racking in enough to pay half of child support and support himself. If the kid starts crying or get upset Jerry would attempt to cheer them up but would ultimately hand them over to you if his motivational speeches doesn’t work. If the kid gets angry or upset he will shut off. Even if the kid full on kicking him he will not engage nor look at him. If the kid isn’t into any of his hobbies Jerry will would have a hard time connecting with them.

Concept: There’s a moment that Jason and Leo have that I feel could’ve been interesting to explore with Jason and Percy.
At the start of the series Leo likes Jason but he’s also very jealous of him. Because Jason is everything he’s not.
He’s tall, blond, conventionally attractive and got the girl. On paper Jason is perfect in all the ways Leo isn’t and he both loves and resents him for it.
And the turning point, when Leo first realises thats not the case is when they all learn about Beryl Grace. But It’s not that Jason’s mother is dead that does it.
It’s that Jason has no memories of her. He is sat listening to Thalia recount a tragedy and for the first time Leo doesn’t envy him at all.
Because the only thing Leo has ever had to hold onto to keep him going is the memory of his mother. His mother was a loving, kind woman and Leo would never want to live a life without any recollection of her.
For the first time Jason looks so painfully lost and alone. For the first time that perfect mask shatters and Leo sees the real Jason.
And that’s who he befriends for real.
Now I’m not saying that Percy is jealous of Jason or that he should be. But much like Leo he also views Jason as this perfect kind of person.
He’s blond superman. He looks like every popular kid that used to bully Percy. And much like Leo, Percy both loves and resents Jason for it.
And I think an interesting turning point could’ve been Jason meeting Sally.
Unlike the rest of his friends, Jason has no real concept of what family and thus what a parent is supposed to be. He never met his father, he met his mother’s corrupted ghost sure but he only really learned about her from Thalia.
And of course he cares about Thalia but he hasn’t been her little brother in over a decade. The closest thing to a parent Jason’s had is Lupa who raised him as one of her own.
But even that was temporary. And well first rule of the Wolf house is self-reliance…imagine learning that as a toddler. And then being sent to and growing up in what’s essentially the military.
All Jason’s experiences with adults are that he has to serve a purpose and once he’s served that purpose, he will be discarded.
Meanwhile Percy, similar to Leo dealt with a lot growing up but he always had Sally. He always had someone he could be himself around. Someone who loved and cherished him no matter what he did.
Jason meeting Sally in my eyes is him doing his best to be polite and respectful. All things Jason does normally so it’s nothing out of the ordinary at first.
His father’s domain does contain hospitality after all.
But it doesn’t ever go away, not even when the rest of Percy’s friends are a lot more at ease with Sally. There’s such a noticeable difference between the Jason that Percy knows and the one that shows up to his house.
To the point he genuinely thinks Jason’s more at ease fighting monsters than talking to his mother.
And while his mind immediately jumps to oh Jason’s showing off or something, Percy quickly tosses that thought out. Because Jason just isn’t like that as a person.
He’s always respectful. He always asks if there’s anything he can do to help. He always sits closest to the door at dinner. He’s the first to leave. He never stays over. He never comes over if he knows Percy isn’t there, even if others are.
He waits to be dismissed at the table. He always looks kind of unsure if he’s left in the room with her…..
And then it hits Percy that Jason is afraid of his mum. It sounds ridiculous but it makes sense. He’s never seen Jason be this tense around anyone. The guy called his dad’s Greek equivalent unwise once, he’s not afraid like that.
But in the face of Sally Jackson, Jason freezes. He doesn’t dare look her in the eye nor even breathe to loudly in her presence. It’s the way Percy once felt around Gabe.
It’s then he realises another heartbreaking thing, that whenever his mum is around Jason seeks him out. Kinda glues himself by Percy for the rest of the visit.
And now he feels bad for being a bit annoyed by it when he wanted to talk to Annabeth and bam there was Jason.
Because Jason was scared and he sought him out. Not even his own sister but Percy. And it’s just this moment where Percy doesn’t see some unstoppable perfect image.
He sees a scared kid. He’s reminded that Jason is only a year younger than him. But he’s been in this fight long before Percy ever knew it existed.
And Jason had no one. He doesn’t know what a caring home is like. So he sees the embodiment of that in Sally, has no idea how to act.
And it frightens him.
Percy wonders how he never noticed it before. How Jason wears such a mask so well. But he’s seen the real Jason Grace.
And he won’t forget him.
