yandere....Jimmy....with a willing darling.... She's so head over heels for him and he just THRIVESSSSS off her attention and undivided affection... Imagine how smug he gets knowing she only looks at him even when the other members are talking to her... ohh my god
addicted.
Yandere! Jimmy x Obsessed! Darling.
warnings; toxic relationship themes, dubiously consensual acts, jimmy is a warning of his own.
Yandere! Jimmy, who thought that it was gonna be a pain in the ass to keep you to himself,to keep you from running away,to keep you quiet.
You can only imagine this man's sheer fucking joy and ecstasy when he notices your... willingness to let him go as he pleased with you.
He basically lives off your attention, your adoration...your praise..
But don't get too cocky tho,if he feels like you're belittling him. You'll be up for a rough night, not that you'll mind or anything...right?
Yandere! Jimmy who simply couldn't seen to keep his hands to himself,no matter where you guys are,his hands would constantly be on you at all times,it gives him reassurance that you're not going anywhere.
Jimmy hates it when you talk to anybody else but him, hell he even dislikes it when you look at any other direction other than his.
Whenever curly would wanna talk to you about certain chores,he would usually expect people to look at him, while speaking. Not with you tho, your eyes would leave the gaze of jimmy no matter what the consequences were.
Curly was jealous,oh he was. He just couldn't pinpoint as to how jimmy got so lucky in the 'love' department.
Whenever Daisuke would try to talk with you about anything in general,Jimmy's grasp would get a little...painful. he sometimes dug his fingernails so deep in you that it drew blood, but you don't mind. Daisuke would get so fucking sad seeing you ignore him so blatantly, and that would get jimmy rock hard, seeing you completely refusing to even acknowledge anybody else's existence but his.
Jimmy doesn't like you talking to Anya either,he thinks that she would try to 'fill your head up with nonsense' so you ignore her presence wholeheartedly as well, she gets so sad...so terrified to see you...so close with jimmy. but when she realises that you have no intent of leaving him. she begins to avoid you all together.
Yandere! Jimmy, who is happy that he doesn't have to put in much effort to discipline you.
But he's also.. disappointed, that he couldn't punish you for misbehaving. So he would make up his own deviant ideas to cover your body with bruises.
He has an insane dacryphilia kink, there's something about seeing you cry, begging him to stop. seeing you in pain turned him the fuck on.
He doesn't ever ask you,no,never. those things are beneath him and his darling, why would he need his darling's permission to do things? Afterall, you love him no matter what, right?
He chokes you, slaps you, pulls on your hair and ties you up during sex, just to see you in pain.
He rams into you without any warnings, and those squeals and moans of being in utter pain and discomfort is what keeps him going through it all.
But aftercare with him always feels so good,so warm,it takes away all the pain that he caused. After all, you love him not matter what, right?
But no matter what he does, Jimmy is always so nice....so good.... sometimes even too good. He makes you feel so special. How could you ever hate him? You could never hate him, never.

I tried to make Lyric's actions make sense and show why he's like that
That underneath everything though he presents as though humans mean little to him that he's simply scared of himself being hurt again, but unable to help that he focuses on his love for Gill and has turned her into an idol and he does want to protect her but also he rationalizes a lot of selfish things he does by saying it's for her safety and happiness.
He's a young boy who's terrified of having the one thing that kept him, mostly, sane while being experimented on taken from him. She was his only friend and he is too scared to follow her lead in loving freely and thus to mature in the same way she has after living together.
She was his first and only source of kindness and his only friend and all they had for that were each other and he's just scared that her giving anybody else more attention means shes going to stop giving him any and won't love him. He's got attachment issues and is displaying them in an extreme way.
I have said before that Gill represents love but Lyric does too. Gill is the pure love for all and the good that love can perform to uplift people, Lyric is what love can turn into and when it darkens into obsession and become about possession.

I heard through the grapevine that your request were open only till tomorrow night so
Werewolf!carlos 🤭🤭 fluff
Y/n constantly teasing Carlos because he always looks like a confused puppy 🐶 and he’s like Amor im a dangerous apex predator not a puppy.
babe ily (also i was gonna write this, read THIS by @lewmagoo, fell in love with it and... this happened) (if you guys are as obsessed with Rhett Abbott as me plspls read it) (even if not still read it lol its so fucking good)
warnings: light smut
Tumblr media
Carlos was insanely protective over his family, over his pack.
His father was the head of the family, the leader of the pack. His life centred around protecting them. He'd raised his son with the same mind set, to protect his sisters, protect his mother.
He was vicious, but only when he needed to be. To anybody outside of the pack, Carlos wasn't calm, but he was in control, ready to lash out at a moments notice. Most avoided him at all costs.
But she didn't know. She didn't even know what he was when they first met. Her not being afraid of him was what drew him in. She was bold and Carlos wanted to know more.
He couldn't stay away from her. From the first time he took her to his bed, pushed his cock through her folds while she whined out his name, he knew he didn't want to. He wanted to keep her caged in his arms, his body moving against hers, for as long as he could.
It wasn't clear when they fell into a relationship. Carlos just didn't want her being with anybody else. They'd never said they were anything other than having sex, but every time a guy approached her, her was stride up to them, a growl leaving his throat (the guy always backed off after that).
Carlos was still insanely protective over his family, over his pack. She had become a part of that pack, even if she didn't realise it. (She had learnt what he was, had watched him transform right before her very eyes.)
Lando was his best friend. He'd been accepted by his family, accepted into his pack. Carlos couldn't help but treat him like a pup sometimes. In the occasions where Lando was acting childish (and not even in a bad way), Carlos could grab the back of his neck, calming him down instantly.
But there were some things that Lando said, usually attempting to speak Spanish, that had Carlos continued. Soy lago, Lando had said. Carlos's brows furrowed as he stared at his muppet friend. Lando repeated it again. When that sweet, confused look deepened on Carlos's face, she couldn't stop herself from laughing.
His girlfriend, the woman he was mated to, couldn't stop herself from laughing as she watched their interaction. A playful growl left Carlos's lips as he looked at her. But then he turned his attention back to Lando. "I am a lake?" He translated, incredibly confused.
She snorted, holding her stomach.
Suddenly Carlos was standing. He strode over to where she sat on the couch. He nipped at her neck, let out a noise from his throat (a cross between a growl and a whine, one that had her giggling).
"I'm sorry, my love," she said and kissed his nose. "You just... you look so cute when you're confused."
He glared, but she knew it wasn't serious. "I'm not cute," he insisted.
If she ran her hands through his hair, she knew she'd get him to purr like a cat. But she held back. Not in front of Lando (or he'd never live it down). "Carlos, you're fucking cute," she said. "You're like a sweet little puppy."
He stood up straight, her arms slipping from around his neck as he pulled away from her. "A sweet little puppy?! Cariño, I'm a dangerous predator, a killer, not a puppy!"
Her eyes went wide as she stared at him. "Could you say you've got... the skin of a killer?"
His face dropped as he stared at her. But his eyes flashes as he stared at her. "You're gonna get it now."

Saw characters comfort you
Tumblr media
Mark, Peter, Lawrence, Adam
warning : fluff, hurt/comfort, tiny emotional, kissing, mention of smoking
Summary : Everyone has a bad day, a day when you're sad and can't go on, or a day when the world just seems to have got the better of you. How good that even in such a dirty city there is love and comfort that will help you no matter what.
info : Oh man it feels like years since my last Saw post so why not start with a bit of fluff to try and get back into it.
masterlist
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mark
He had always been someone who was relatively alone well until the death of his sisters in law there had been at least the two of them but that togetherness came to a sudden end when he found her murdered since then it was just him and his target again as a successor to the man who had given him a new one.
So it seemed if he hadn't come across her during his work as an investigator as well as a follower for John, a woman who tried to show him that there could still be something good in this world if you just looked for it.
It was a time of love and emotion, but it was always a time when the shadow of John and the various spies was over them both and more and more often Mark came home less and less, much to the chagrin of his love, until the evening when she couldn't blink away the tears either and when the door opened Hoffman was confronted with a painful sight.
He just wanted to take a short break in the flat, thinking she was asleep, but when he entered and heard the crying and screaming he knew something was wrong, ,,Darling? Is everything all right, I'm-" he interrupted himself when he saw sir sitting on the bed in the bedroom, crying, holding a months-old picture framed in her hand, a present from him for her birthday when they had both come here from this town together, only for a few days but it had been the most beautiful days of her life.
Sitting down by her bed, he put his hand on hers and stroked her, ,,What's wrong?" he asked quietly, feeling the pain when he saw her tearful look and how reproachfully she looked at him. it hurt like he had only felt this pain the last time he had lost his sister.
She sniffled again and tried to pull away but he held her tightly and gently, wiping the tears from her cheeks, ,,Ma-Mark…how long? How-How long are you going to do it? I don't want to spend every day worrying that you won't come back," she said, looking back at the picture where she saw a smiling happy couple, a couple who knew that what he was doing could not go unpunished and as much as she ignored it, she knew only the utmost was about a future together.
In the past he would have withdrawn from something like this, but only he was so far from his goal that he could give up now, ,,I'm sorry about your pain…but believe me dear, I just need one last game, one last time and then we'll disappear, then we'll be free of all this," he said, gently embracing her face, looking into sad eyes that sought honesty in his gaze.
An honesty she actually found and slowly moved into his arms, ,,Please Mark keep your promise please" she murmured and sniffled away the last of her tears as she gave him a small smile before he pulled her into a holding kiss, holding her body and giving her the support she needed just for that moment to be free of hope again.
A hold they gave each other even in the last moments before the free ride, before the finish line and before the end of the game she believed Mark believed that if they could just hang in there together they would make it together.
Peter
The FBI agent was the one above the law, at least in exceptions, and these exceptions arrived when the first victims were washed up, the first victims executed by Jigsaw in the most brutal way and with each new victim.
Not only Strahm and his colleagues became more nervous as they couldn't catch the killer but also his own drive to suspect his colleague Hoffman became more and more obsessive, an obsession that drew him more and more into this horror.
A horror from which he could only rarely emerge alone, either with his arrest or his death he knew he had to be right to keep the residents safe, to keep those he had sworn to protect safe but the question was if he protected the residents who would protect his partner, his love, his heart when she was home alone?
If she couldn't get back from her work at the vets until the evening and was alone, who would protect her? Questions to which he had no answer despite her pleas, ,,I'll take care of it love, just a little bit okay?" he had put her off every time he drove a short distance in his car in the city centre and left her alone again as he had done for almost the last few weeks…until he got a radio message from Perez that sent a shiver through his body and made him drive his car through the streets faster than allowed.
,,Where is she!" he shouted as he arrived at the police station, pushed past colleagues, victims and others and saw Perez pointing to an interrogation room. ,,Darling, are you all right?" he shouted as he pushed open the door and found his partner wrapped in a blanket with a plaster on her forehead and a small mark on her eyebrow.
,,Peter," she said weakly and fell into his arms as he held her and heard her crying Peter himself had to fight back a few tears as the pain was written all over his face, ,,I should have been there, forgive me for being so sorry" he said, reaching for the cold pack she had been given and pressing it gently against her forehead, looking towards her to see more injuries.
But he saw an amused, angry laugh next to the trembling body, ,,That's not the point…I defended myself through you…but-but if not Peter please I don't want any more" she sniffled, only slowly understanding what she wanted, what the bigger problem was and what was bothering her.
He hugged her to him, she held on to him, slowly trying to calm down and he stroked her back, ,,I'll stay with you every night, you can always stay with me, none of these bastards will hurt you, I promise you love," he told her, his gaze filled with gentleness and yet seriousness as she stroked his head, seeing that he was just as distressed as she was, perhaps not physically but mentally.
But even now as she slept in his arms he held her as they moved from the interrogation room to the couch he held her and watched over her and gave her comfort, comfort she needed now and he would never let her out of his sight again because in the end she was the greatest thing he ever had and would ever get from this filthy town.
Lawrence
The sound of metal clicking and a twitching noise could be heard as the blonde doctor made his way through the corridors of the old factory to his operating theatre, the walking stick kept coming up and his prosthetic leg made a clicking sound as the splints, screws and leather moved uncomfortably but slowly getting more and more used to it he had hardly given a thought to the day.
He was here to fulfil another task, to implant another key and lock in his stomach and then to stay here for a while before he would go home with his loved one, even after his wife had left him he only had John, but eventually he had found her, a lost nurse with a search for a new purpose and a goal, a purpose she had found in John.
With a slight smile he pushed open the metal door and stepped into the operations room not the best but it was enough, ,,Morning love" he said as he saw his heart sitting on one of the operating chairs a tea in her hand and a slight smile on her lips as she returned his words.
The two of them engaged in the kind of light small talk they always did as they went through the files together, she occasionally nodding to him when he didn't get to things and he gave her a kiss, ,,What would I do without you?" he murmured, seeing her wry smile as they put on the blue surgical apron together and turned to the body on the table.
It was a minor procedure, almost like a daily routine back at the hospital, but he didn't see her smile as she sighed as she looked at the scalpel and put it back in the tray.
,,Is everything okay? Are you unwell?" he asked immediately, circling the table and trying to prop her up to look for signs of pain but she just shook her head, ,,No…not so Lawrence everything here…can you keep it up with them?" she asked, settling into the chair and looking up into his bright eyes that gazed at her.
A look of guilt crossed his gaze for a moment before he took her hand and stroked it gently, ,,It's not easy, not even for me at first…but darling, I see it as the only thing I have left. We can't go back without being eaten by each other," he gave the harsh reply that told the truth, but she knew that if they turned themselves in they would never get back together and sooner or later would be executed or die in prison.
Releasing her hand from his, she hid her face in her hands knowing he was right and yet, ,,Isn't there something we can do?" she asked, hearing the twitching of the stick and the slight squeak of his prosthesis as he knelt in front of her, roughly sunken, taking both her hands and leaving kisses on them.
He was relieved to see that she no longer looked like she was about to cry, he always kissed her when she was feeling bad, ,,When we're done with this one, why don't we go into hiding? Just the two of us together waiting somewhere trying to get through it together…with you together we can do anything yes?" he asked leaning his head against hers for a moment.
Feeling how hard it was for her to get hope sometimes but when he saw her nod as she gave him a kiss and stood up to help him up and he took her in his arms they both managed to gather hope. Hiding didn't have to be out of fear, it could also be a no new beginning a beginning together for their love and hope.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adam
The music boomed in his ears as the itars and drums tried to combine with the shrill sound of snoring, each louder than the other as Adam was out of the bus, the bag of groceries in his hand swaying back and forth, the cigarette between his lips judging him and the metal music on his ears making him moan from time to time or just bob his head slightly to feel the dancing.
The camera hanging around his neck had taken the latest photos, one assignment after another he always got from John every week, always from the same man…he knew why.
He knew that as soon as the photos were finished, it would soon mean the death of the photographed person, but he barely entertained this thought in his head, he was too used to it.
Walking up the stairs of the old apartment building past the same door and people, he found his door and unlocked it, ,,Honey! I'm back!" he called inside and closed the door behind him but got no answer.
At first he thought she was asleep, he put down his food and put out his cigarette before he looked for her in the living room and bedroom but she wasn't there.
He checked the bathroom to see if she was in the bath but she wasn't there either, ,,Honey?" he asked in amazement and heard a rustling sound, knowing that this paper-like rustling sound could only come from one room, the enlarged storage room, the place where he developed his photos.
Adam went there and actually found her standing in front of the photos thinking she was going to develop a few more while he was gone but instead she just stared at them, ,,Hey is everything okay?" he asked as he heard a sniffle and saw her flinch, seemingly trying to wipe away tears and turn to him.
Despite everything you could see that she had wept, cried a lot maybe for hours he didn't know but immediately his heart tightened, ,,No Adam…it's not all his fault…these photos I-I can't do it anymore…it's like a death sentence" she mumbled and held the photos out to him seeing how he was torn.
He knew they needed the money otherwise they risked being arrested, there was little other option but he also knew that his love for her meant more to him than the money or the prospect of something better, letting the pictures sail to the ground he grabbed her hand and pulled her close.
He pulled her into a kiss her hands wrapped around him holding on to him, ,,Thank you Adam…I know we'll find something but please stop" she said putting her hand on his cheek he could see he was fighting tears, he himself knew what they were doing was wrong he knew they would find something else and until then they would make it together.
It touched him how much she cared for him too, ,,No thank you darling I love you and we can do this…I promise I'll stop" he said pressing a kiss to her forehead and pulling her into a warm embrace holding her until their tears had dried and he lightened the mood when he announced that he had brought muffins which they ate together on the couch wrapped in a blanket.
But most of all they were not only cheerful but happy, happy to at least have another morning without playing judgement on a person they would never meet, they had each other and that was all that mattered.

Yandere catboy x reader
Note: longest fic I've written It got longer than I expected 😙
Summary: you find out your cat is actually your classmate.
drawing of yandere catboy 1
drawing of yandere catboy 2
Your friend stopped walking as an orange cat came into view.
"Oh- There's a cat over there!"
Before you could react, your friend dashed over to the cat.
"Aww... so cute."
"Come on, let's go home."
You said, standing beside your friend who is taking pictures of the cat.
"Wait- she's purring. I need to take a photo of this."
You sigh. Your friend was obsessed with cats and never missed any chances to watch them, take pictures of them and touch them. She also took photos of this orange cat just outside the school gate everyday.
"I don't have anything to feed you today.. but I'll buy some tomorrow, okay? Bye, Chesse."
After one last pat, your friend stood up.
"That cat has a name?"
You asked.
"Of course she does! Everyone in school calls her Cheese. Her soft fur is just like cheese."
Your friend proceeded to show you pictures on her social media. You had no choice but to look at her social media that is filled with pictures of cats.
You didn't hate cats, but you weren't a fan of them either. You've taken a few pictures of cats in the past, but admiring cats all day was not that interesting to you.
After saying goodbye to your friend, you went to your home.
"Mom, I'm home."
You shouted loud enough for your mom to hear.
Your mom was in the kitchen, preparing dinner.
"Hey mom- huh?"
You felt something cling to your leg. You immediately looked down to find a black and white cat.
"What is this?"
You said, confused. You tried to back away from the cat, but it was still clinging on to you. You turned to your mom to hear some kind of explanation.
"It's a cat from my office. I'm sure you've seen this cat a few times."
Your mom replied. Now that you think about it, you could remember this cat from a few days ago when you visited your mother's office.
"Is this cat the one staying at the back of your office building?"
"Yes it is! I made a simple bed for it to stay.. and I decided to just take it home-"
"What? Does dad know about this? What about my brother?"
"They seem pretty chill about it. Your brother liked the idea. You know the drawing he drew in his kindergarten? That kid likes cats."
"What if this cat already has an owner?"
"I checked it, and everyone around my office said this cat was alone for a few years. So it's fine, (y/n), don't worry."
"You could have asked if I'm fine though."
You looked back at the tuxedo cat. You didn't want to blame the cat, but getting a cat without your opinion was not the best feeling.
You patted the cat's head while it curled around your leg. This cat was acting like it's smart enough to comprehend your feelings. You felt the cat clinging to you more as you touched it.
"I'm sorry (y/n). I should've told you sooner, but I was busy. Plus, the person using the second floor starting next week is allergic to cat fur, so I had no choice to take the cat to home."
Your mom said. You nodded as a reply and looked at the cat again.
"Look, the cat likes you the most. That cat never warmed up to me like that. Why don't you name the cat, (y/n)?"
Your mother was true. You visited your mother's office a few times, and this cat only liked it when you touch it.
"I'm bad with names, and why don't you name it? It's you that brought it here anyway."
"Oh come on, (y/n). Don't be so harsh on the cat."
You ignored your mom and tried to go inside your room, but the black and white cat followed you inside your room without any presence.
"You really do like me.."
You murmured to yourself.
The cat still curled up to you between your legs. You had to pick up the cat and move it to your bed to unpack your school bag and change into comfortable clothes.
You crawled into your blankets and got your phone ready to watch videos before dinner. The black and white cat also crawled beside you, using your right arm as a pillow.
"Oh right.. I need to think of a name for you.."
You said as you scratched the cat.
"What about.. just Tux? That's pretty easy to pronounce."
You said as the cat digged into your chest.
"Do cats like their owners this much..?"
You mumbled.
"So Tux it is? Or do you want another name?"
Your cat ignored your mumbling and rubbed its face onto you.
"... okay then. Your name is Tux from now on."
Your cat, now named Tux, reacted to its new name, and it seemed quite pleased.
You spent time scrolling down social media with your cat beside you before your mother called for dinner. As you got up and walked to the kitchen, Tux followed you. At the kitchen, you found your little brother and your dad talking about their experience today in the playground.
"Where have you been?"
You asked your brother.
"In the playground with my friends... wait- that's the cat mom's talking about-!"
Your brother's attention darted to Tux immediately as he touched the cat. Tux didn't avoid the touch either.
"That cat's name is Tux. I named it."
You said, sitting on your chair and eating food your mom prepared.
"That's a.. intuitive name."
Your dad said, looking at Tux.
"... Anyways, why did you agree to raise a pet?"
You asked. Looking at your brother's wide smile, your dad answered,
"Didn't your mother tell you? Uh.. your brother likes cats, and why not?"
"... yeah whatever."
You ate dinner listening to your little brother talking about Tux. You felt good that your brother got a pet that he wanted. However, at the same time, you felt uncomfortable... having a pet all of a sudden. It felt like having a new family member without your permission.
You know that having a pet will feel like having a family member as time passes. Your friends told you about how their pets meant the world to them... But there was this uncomfortable feeling about Tux.
Maybe you were just mad about your family and wanted to leash your anger to Tux. You didn't know.
--
When you woke up the next day, you found Tux right beside you.
"How did you get in here..."
You went to sleep alone last night. You remembered that you closed the door before Tux gets in.
You shrugged it off since you had little time before you go to school. You walked around, brushing your hair and wearing your uniform.
"Where is it? Ugh.."
You mumbled as you searched for your earphones. You put them on last night, and the right one was missing.
"Hey- don't distract me."
You lifted up Tux from the bed sheets and searched to see if the bed sheets were covering your right earphone. You rummaged through your bed sheets but you couldn't find it. While you were busy lifting up bed sheets, Tux crawled under your bed.
"What are you doing?"
You also looked under the bed.
"Oh- You found it!"
Tux was playing with the right earphone you were desperately searching for. You grabbed your right earphone and put in the case as your cat tossed it to you.
You sighed in relief and looked at Tux.
"Thanks for your help... I would've died for boredom in school without your help."
You smiled at Tux and left your room, ready to go to school.
In your classroom, you talked about your new cat to your friend. As expected, your friend was excited about it, asking dozens of questions.
"How can you not have a picture of it?"
Your friend said.
"I didn't think of it. I'll send you a picture when I go back home."
Your friend rambled about how her mother would not allow her to have a pet. You listened to your friend quietly.
"Hey."
Someone poked your shoulder. You looked back to see who it was, and one of your classmates was standing right behind you.
"Huh?"
"You're sitting on my seat."
Your classmate said.
"Oh- sorry-!"
You stood up right after.
--
"Don't you think you and him have a lot of connections lately?"
Your friend said, eating a chocolate bar she bought in free time.
"Who are you talking about?"
"You sat in his seat in lunch time. How could you not remember?"
"Oh- are you talking about Blake?"
"Of course I am! Don't you think he likes you?"
You knew your friend loves setting people up and likes searching for possible couples, but this time, she's talking nonsense.
"I didn't even talk to him that much."
Your friend was eager to tell you what she has found.
"That's not the point- The important part is that he's constantly gazing at you during class. Also, how can you not notice that it's you he talks to!"
"He talks to plenty of people."
"Oh no, you're clueless. If you observe further, you'll definitely realize he only talks to certain people, or friends, and they all knew Blake even before highschool."
"How do you know that?"
"My eyes and ears are open."
"..."
Blake and you? That's such a confusing match.
"Your observations can't be the reason."
"See for yourself then. I'm sure. Blake has interest in you."
"..."
You didn't believe a word your friend said before Blake asked if he can join you on the way home.
It was awkward, walking with a classmate who you've barely talked to.  Blake was quiet, and you didn't know how to start a conversation.
"I thought you go home with your friends."
You said.
"Oh- I moved recently. It seemed like you go home this way too, so... I thought it could be great having another friend to go home with."
Blake said. You could see he was a bit nervous... but why?
Not much conversation went by, and you waved goodbye to Blake in front of your house. You went into your house, throwing your book bag onto the bed and taking off your jacket.
You looked around to see if Tux was around, but you couldn't find it anywhere. You went into every room in your house but Tux wasn't in any of them. You went back to your room, wondering where that sneaky cat hid himself. You were unpacking your bag when you noticed something jumping over the fence. You looked at it to realize that it was your cat that was jumping over the fence and into your home.
You quickly opened the window facing the garden Tux was walking across and let it in your room.
This was strange. The doors were all locked, and you went out of the front door in the morning, so there's no way for Tux to get out. Your mother took your little brother to kindergarten and your father went to work after you left for school.. but they wouldn't have left Tux leave the house.
"Do you get out of the house when no one is watching?"
You said, in a surprised tone.
Was this cat extra smart, or were you mistaken about all the doors being closed?
Tux didn't seem to care that it got out of the house when everyone was outside.
You were skeptical but decided to ignore it and kept on unpacking your bag and organizing your clothes.
After a few hours, your mom came home with your brother.
"We're going to have dinner after an hour when your dad comes back from work-"
Your mom said loudly enough for you to hear.
In your room, you were studying while Tux was watching. You studied until your mother called you to eat dinner.
Your little brother was talking about his day in kindergarten like always, and your mother was setting food plates on the table.
You ate quietly as your brother went on about how his friend and him played some kind of game.
"Mom, today a classmate wanted go home together with me. The funny thing is.."
You said to your mom when your brother cooled down.
"Are you listening?"
You asked your mom.
"Oh- I am listening. Go on."
"The funny thing is that.. I've never talked to him properly yet."
You went on.
"And I beat Anthony- so I got a prize-!"
Your words were blocked with your brother's babbling.
You sighed. Everytime your brother blocked your words, it felt so frustrating.
"Can't you wait when I'm talking?"
You would've heard what your brother needed to say, but this time, you felt like speaking up.
"What?"
Your brother looked at you.
"I mean.. I want to talk too."
"But-"
"Your brother is thrilled he got a present today in kindergarten. Let him talk, he's feeling good today."
Your dad said.
"I think he talked enough though."
"You talked a lot more when you were young too."
Your mother said, smiling.
You were annoyed. Why was she smiling?
Your family wouldn't listen to you, and it was so frustrating to you.
"I ate a lot, I'm going back to my room."
You said.
"You haven't eaten half of it, why?"
Your mother asked.
"My stomach hurts today."
You stood up and walked to your room. Tux follwed you.
--
You couldn't understand it. You wanted to talk about your new friend too. You wanted to talk about how Blake suggested to go home with you.
You turned to your cat that was cuddling you, covered in your bed sheet. You scratched its fur as it purred.
You noticed that Tux followed you everywhere in the house. You also noticed that Tux only cuddled with you. That actually felt heart warming.
Tux jumped off the bed and crawled to a shelf you collected all your goods like  small stuffed animals, and some figures you collected from before. It was usually goods from a few years ago.
"Is there something interesting?"
You looked at the shelf, confused.
"I don't see anything interesting... wait-"
The shelf was missing something.
Now you searched through all your goods to find there was a figure missing. And you also found some of your markers missing. You actually needed those markers for art class tomorrow.
The first thing that came up to your mind was your brother.
You thanked Tux and went out of your room, to the table where your family was eating dessert.
"Where's my figure and markers?"
You asked your mother.
"What do you mean by markers and a figure? The ones on your shelf?"
Your mother replied.
"Yes- where are they?"
"I gave it to your brother."
With your mother's answer, you went straight into your brother's room to find your figure on the corner of his shelf. You grabbed it and put it back on your shelf. Your mom watched with a confused expression.
But you couldn't find your marker still.
"Where's my marker?"
You asked your mother again. Your brother was quiet, staring at you now that he realized how irritated your voice was.
"Why?"
"I said multiple times that I needed my markers for my art project-"
You were shouting now.
"I gave it your brother because he had a drawing competition today, and your brother left it in kindergarten because it got damaged. You can draw with something else for your art project, right?"
Your mother said, annoyed too.
You tried to calm down, but this was too much. How can your whole family ignore your words?
"That's not the point here- why would you take my stuff without my permission?"
Your mother said nothing, but she was definitely baffled from your statement.
When your mother said nothing and your brother kept whining, you went into your room again, shutting the door roughly.
--
The next day, you were silent the whole time getting ready for school. You didn't have your marker, and you couldn't finish the art project how you wanted to because of that.
You walked to school with heavy footsteps.
Art class was after lunch, so you still had time to think about how to do your art project. But you didn't have good ideas on your mind. Also you have already done the sketch for the drawing, which makes it harder to think of other good ideas.
Time flew by fast and it was time for art. Unfortunately your friend didn't have markers, so she couldn't help you out.
The uneasy feeling went on. You had to decide whether to switch the concept of the drawing or find usable markers one way or another.
"You'll do good with or without markers..."
Your friend comforted you.
"Thanks..."
You decided to use watercolor the school had and walked over to the sink with a small yellow bucket.
"Hey."
You felt a poke on your shoulder.
It was Blake.
"Oh- hi."
".. I have markers.. if you want to use it."
"... wait- really?"
You couldn't stop yourself from smiling.
"Yeah.. you can take them and use it at your table. I use watercolor anyway."
"Thanks- you're a lifesaver."
Blake was a lifesaver, and that went on for a few weeks. He gave you stuff you really needed, which made your friend more invested in your relationship with Blake.
Your relationship with your family recovered a bit over a few weeks, but you were still in some kind of a cold war, and you were still angry at them. You didn't talk very much either, so it really didn't matter.
You went home with Blake a few times a week. Blake wasn't the funniest person to talk to, but Blake was sure a great listener. Just like Tux.
Blake listened to you, occasionally talking about how he thought. He was not like your family who ignored how your life was in school, and everytime Blake helped you out, you thought of your friend's words. Maybe your friend was an expert at reading people's feelings.
If Blake helped you out in school, Tux was your company in your home. When you went home alone, Tux was waiting for you behind the front door.
You felt uncomfortable around Tux at first, but now you warmed up to Tux. You spent all your days with Tux telling your worries and secrets that you wouldn't tell anyone.
Tux stayed right beside you curling its body into your arms.
Spending your time with Tux felt soothing, and you thought this would go on for sure.
However, despite your wish, it didn't last long.
It was Friday, and you walked home alone. You went home fast to see your cat waiting for you.
"I'm home-"
You shouted.
You didn't see your cat behind the front door, so you walked into your room to find your cat lying down on the bed.
It was unusual for you cat to be like this. Tux always tried to rub itself on you if it had the chance.
You sat beside Tux, worried if the cat is sick.
"Are you ok?"
You asked. You knew Tux won't understand what you're saying, but you wanted your cat to know you're worried by your tone.
You lay down on your bed with your school uniform on. There was no one in the house, so there was no one to scold you for not changing clothes.
You turned to your cat. Tux seemed to be struggling with something, and you didn't know why. You thought about calling your mom, but you knew she wouldn't answer when she's busy with some project of hers.
What if Tux needs to go to the hospital?
Several thoughts went by your head.
Tux was still in a bad state and you didn't know what to do.
You got your phone out and searched through the internet to find some clue after you messaged your father(hoping for him to message you back).
As you searched with your phone, you felt Tux slipping away.
Tux was slowly crawling away from you. It seemed he wanted to head out of your room.
"Hey, where are you going?"
You put one arm around your cat, confused.
"Do you need something? Where are you going all of a sudden?"
But your cat was desperate to get out.
"Why are you avoiding me?"
That was the moment you saw something so unbelievable.
With a blink of an eye, Tux was gone, replaced with a boy your age.
".... Blake?"
You couldn't believe what you just saw.
Tux was no where to be seen, and Blake, who said he was going home with his friends, was exactly in Tux's place, facing you.
Surprised and confused, you quicky removed your arm on Blake's body. Then you jumped out of bed before Blake could react.
"W.. wait-"
Blake grabbed your arm and yanked you back into the bed. You lost balance and fell back first to the bed while Blake grabbed your arms still.
"What the- what are you doing??"
You said as Blake's grip got stronger.
Blake was on top of you, facing you with his face red.
"I'll explain-"
You didn't want to believe it, but from the looks of it, Tux was actually Blake.
Blake's face came closer to yours, and you could hear Blake's heart beating fast.
You pushed off Blake and ran out of your room before Blake came any more closer. Blake followed you without hesitation, desperate to explain himself.
You maintained certain space between you as Blake tried to take a step closer to you.
"I can explain-"
Blake protested.
"Get out of my house.. I'll listen to your explanation later.."
"No- no- I didn't do anything wrong.. I just.. wanted to get closer and help you out."
"I messaged my dad and he'll come home soon. I'll tell him about you if you don't get out."
You said in a harsh tone. You wouldn't tell your dad that Tux is human, but you had to threaten Blake..
Blake's face clearly showed that he was not satisfied, but he left.
When your dad came home, you told him Tux was somehow escaped. Your little brother was upset. But you didn't care to notice him because Tux being Blake was the most important topic in your head for hours.
You've done some pretty embarrassing stuff in front of Blake in his cat form. You told him all your cringey moments, you showed him your true personality.. and you even changed clothes in front of his cat form. You basically showed every aspect of you.
You went to bed imagining how it will be meeting Blake in school again. You imagine yourself being awkward in front of Blake.
You hoped not, but the thought that Blake came to your house just to be beside you made you feel a bit frightened.
The whole situation was weird. Blake was weird. His actions only tell you that he's creepy.
--
Instead of confronting Blake, you avoided Blake in every was possible. You ran straight to home after school, hoping for Blake to lose sight of you.
"I'm home-"
You said. You find your mom sitting on the couch.
"(y/n)-! Tux came back!"
"..."
"Why, aren't you glad Tux came back without a scratch?"
"Can we just let him be a stray cat again?
You blurted out.
"How can you say that, (y/n)? We brought Tux here, so we have to take care of it."
"It was your choice- you brought him here- then don't let him in my room, okay?
"Why are you acting sensitive lately? Don't you think this is too much?"
You ignored your mother and walked back to your room. Blake tried to follow you, but you shut the door at his face.
Your mother noticed this right away. Irritated herself, she opened the door to your room and let the cat inside.
"Don't vent out your frustration on Tux, (y/n)."
With that, your mom closed the door and headed to the livingroom again.
You glared at the person pretending to be a stray cat. With the frustration that built up past few weeks, you couldn't stand someone deceiving you.
"Get out."
You said.
Blake was still in his cat form, standing still.
"Are you listening..?"
You said. Blake just stood there, staring at you.
"... I'll just go out then."
At that moment, Blake went back to his human form, grabbing your wrists.
"Don't go out."
Blake said.
"....why don't we cuddle like we always did?"
"Are you serious? Why would I-"
You tried to get his hand off your wrist, but he's grip only got stronger.
"You can't even force me out of your room."
"Can you at least let go of my wrist?"
"Oh-.."
Blake let go of your wrist, but he didn't move away from you.
Both you and Blake got quiet after. Your mother shouting from the livingroom broke the silence.
"Stay here."
You said, looking at Blake. Then you went to the livingroom.
"Why did you call me?"
You asked.
"Actually, I didn't buy eggs since I was busy with work. Can you buy them now? You didn't even change to comfortable clothes yet."
"I'm keeping the change."
"Okay. Just come back before I prepare dinner. Oh and we need something else too. I'll send you a list."
You got money from your mother and walked back to your room. Blake was waiting for you, sitting on your bed.
"Where are you going?"
"To buy groceries."
You looked away from Blake and picked up a bag to carry groceries.
--
You felt someone following you while you were walking to the supermarket.
You knew it was Blake.
"I know you're following me."
You said.
As expected, Blake came out of his cover. He was in his human form.
"I just wanted to see if.."
You ignored him and kept walking. Blake followed suit.
"I like you a lot.. I'm sure you know by now..."
You stayed silent. The whole situation was strange and you didn't quite process it.
"I actually liked you way before you knew me. I can move around more freely as a cat, you know?"
"..."
Blake held your hand and walked right beside you.
"It was hard for me to keep my distance from you in school... that's why I tried to be a stray cat. To get closer..."
"That's... uh..."
Blake suddenly wrapped his arms around you out of nowhere.
"What are you doing??"
You said, trying to push him away. Unfortunately Blake didn't budge. Instead he only got closer, which made your head spinning.
"What if someone sees us?? Stop-"
"Does that mean I can hug you in your room?"
"That's not what I meant.."
Blake laughed as you panicked and didn't know what to do.
"You should stop ignoring me in school. You liked Tux, why not treat me like it too?"
Blake said, holding your hand again.
"Uhm..."
Blake didn't do anything that would attract glances while buying groceries. He kept holding your hand, but he didn't do anything other than that.
You quickly bought the things your mother asked and went home with Blake. Blake transformed into Tux by the time you arrived home and everything went smoothly after that, like a normal day. Blake, in his cat form, watched you from afar as you ate dinner.
You went back inside your room and Blake quickly made his way inside before you could lock the door.
Blake changed back to his human self as soon as he closed the door to your room. Then he lead you to your bed, wrapping his arms from the back.
"I waited for this."
He said while digging into your neck.
"Hey- don't rub your face onto my neck-"
There was no use resisting because Blake had no intention of letting you go.
"I have to study. Let me go."
You said firmly.
"I know you don't study right away after dinner. Let's watch something together. Or we can just lay on bed together and sleep."
"What if my family finds out??"
"Then you should be quiet."
Blake smiled.
You were annoyed, but you kept quiet.
Blake pestered you so you couldn't do much of anything. It was soon late at night and all your family members went to sleep.
"I'm going to sleep."
You said, organizing your desk before bed.
"Really? Then we can sleep side by side. Cuddling each other."
"I'll get you bed sheets. You can sleep on the floor."
"What do you mean-"
"Or you can turn into a cat again."
"I- I'll turn into a cat."
Blake, in his cat form crawled beside you when you lay in bed, covered with blankets.
--
You heard the alarm and slowly opened your eyes to see Blake's face right in front of you. You screamed right that moment.
Your mother heard your scream and opened the door to check if anything's wrong.
"What's wrong here?"
Your mom asked.
You quickly hid Blake under your blankets, covering his face with your arms.
"Nothing- just a bad.. dream."
"Well, ok. Come eat breakfast in 10 minutes."
"Alright."
Your mom walked out of your room, still suspicious of your actions.
"What were you doing? We could've been caught-!"
You jumped up pushing Blake away.
"Are you going to change into your uniform?"
Blake asked, still lying down on the bed.
"What?"
"I mean.. uh..."
"..."
You grabbed your school uniform and changed your clothes in the bathroom.
--
"I can't believe you watched me all the time."
You said, leaving the house. Blake already prepared for school and waited for you at the front door.
"..."
"Aren't you hungry? You haven't ate since yesterday lunch."
"I go back to my house in night and stay there until it's time for you to wake up. I do regular things I missed at daytime."
"That explains why you're sleeping all day at school."
"Then will you let me sleep in your room with you? I want to beside you all day."
"All day? That's exhausting."
"It's not exhausting for me. I want to be beside you whether it's in school or home."
"I'll think about it.."
Blake held your hand.
"I know you'll accept it at some point."
Blake said with confidence.
Blake's words were oddly convincing to you.
He was beside you when you fought with your family and got upset. He listened to your words and helped you.
It's true that you liked Tux in your home, and Blake at school as well.
You like Blake's warm touch, but you'll have to think about Blake staying with you all day.

i am completely obsessed with this whole soft dom dealer rafe, and i was wondering if you could just make a head canon of how he’s an asshole to everyone but her
the comfort in realising others think the same as me is amazing AHHHHH
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ dealer!rafe hc’s
warnings: swearing, slightly nsfw, mentions of drugs and weapons.
: ̗̀➛ rafe cameron was an asshole, everyone in the outerbanks knew it very well.
: ̗̀➛ most people avoided him, whether that was down to him just being a complete dick, or the lifestyle he got himself mixed up in.
: ̗̀➛ he wasn’t a huge people person, and he certainly didn’t trust easily.
: ̗̀➛ he spent most of his time with barry, cutting deals and selling drugs together.
: ̗̀➛ that was until she came along.
: ̗̀➛ she, with the most contagious smile, who demanded his attention without even realising it.
: ̗̀➛ she was a sweet girl, too kind for her own good.
: ̗̀➛ she was the exact opposite of rafe cameron.
: ̗̀➛ but that was what drew him to her.
: ̗̀➛ he’d turn up at the wreck, where she worked, almost everyday and offer her a ride home.
: ̗̀➛ she always turned it down, hesitant to get mixed up with the man she’d heard so many bad things about.
: ̗̀➛ but he wasn’t like that with her, not at all.
: ̗̀➛ he was ecstatic the day she agreed.
: ̗̀➛ it became a routine from then on, he’d go about his shady business during the day, drive over to the wreck and wait for her shift to finish.
: ̗̀➛ they’d sit there for an hour or so, talking about anything and everything.
: ̗̀➛ once a relationship was established between the two, he was down bad.
: ̗̀➛ and when his friends mentioned it? oh he hated that shit.
: ̗̀➛ “man, you’ve snatched up a hidden gem country club!”
: ̗̀➛ “shut up barry”
: ̗̀➛ “hey top, you think rafe’s boned her yet? i heard y/n’s a prude, never lets up..”
: ̗̀➛ “keep her fucking name out of your mouth”
: ̗̀➛ little did they know, she was bending to his will every night, literally.
: ̗̀➛ he adored the way she was everything he wasn’t, that was what made them such a good pair.
: ̗̀➛ she was a sworn rafe cameron sympathiser, she knew he could be mean, she knew he could be violent, but she also knew why.
: ̗̀➛ he kept her away from his family the best he could, not wanting them to taint her anymore than he already had.
: ̗̀➛ he struggled when it came to his sisters however, y/n got along so well with them. and though he’d never admit it, it warmed his heart.
: ̗̀➛ “hey, where you going princess?”
: ̗̀➛ “oh, wheezie said she needed help with something..”
: ̗̀➛ “hm..she never asked me..”
: ̗̀➛ “maybe she just prefers a happy soul? someone who lightens the mood?”
: ̗̀➛ “oh shut up, im not that bad”
: ̗̀➛ “oh yes you are, you big grump”
: ̗̀➛ the doors to an insiders take on his lifestyle we’re double locked, for her at least.
: ̗̀➛ the last thing he wanted was for her to end up hurt, in anyway.
: ̗̀➛ and keeping her away from that, staying quiet about the soft girlfriend he had back at home, was his best bet.
: ̗̀➛ but when his worst nightmare came true? when she was nabbed by some nasty people before she arrived at work, he couldn’t think straight.
: ̗̀➛ if anything he himself got meaner, more volatile.
: ̗̀➛ he stopped at nothing to make sure he got her home safely, he and barry stocked up on firearms before storming the house she was being kept in for ransom.
: ̗̀➛ his heart almost broke in half when he saw her frail, broken state.
: ̗̀➛ “i’ve got you angel, i’ve got you..”
: ̗̀➛ where he could help it, he swore to never let her out of his sight again.
: ̗̀➛ from then, he was always a few week behind her, scanning the areas they frequented for threats.
: ̗̀➛ wherever she went, rafe cameron was never far behind.
: ̗̀➛ she had him wrapped around her little finger.

Office Hours/Bells - Jonathan Crane x Fem!Reader (Part 5)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Professor!Jonathan Crane x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 11,739
Warnings: Obsessive behaviour, Professor x Student, mention of cannibalism, manipulation, mention of violence,
Summary: Jonathan's been having more trouble with Batman than ever and Y/n wants to help out in a way.
A/N: Holy shit, did this take a very long time to write a part 5 for! My poor baby has been sidelined because of so many request coming through (I swear, everytime I post a fic or something, I get another 2 requests, I have 7 right now that I haven't started on 💀) and also Uni been keeping me from my baby :c (I have had so many assignments, I wanna die)
Sorry, this took so long to come out, but I hope you like this part 💚
-
Y/n's life seemed to be getting better with each day that passed. University days flowed smoothly, she found herself engaging with new friends, and evenings spent in the comfort of home with Jonathan felt like a haven from the world's chaos. She had made progress in managing her dependency on Jonathan. While she still felt a twinge of concern upon waking up without him, it no longer spiraled into full-blown panic.
But for Jonathan, life was a rough sea, each wave threatening to capsize him. Despite his alliance with the Riddler, his adventures as Scarecrow had become a problem. The ongoing vendetta with Two-Face and the Penguin haunted his every move. He protected Y/n from the grim details, keeping the nature of the conflict veiled in secrecy. And the relentless pursuit of Batman added further weight to his burden, his shadow looming over Jonathan's every scheme. Each thwarted plan, each narrow escape, chipped away at his will, leaving him weary and disheartened.
Jonathan's weariness seemed to seep into the very air as he sank onto the couch beside Y/n, the weight of his troubles evident in every crease of his blazer.
Y/n's heart ached at the sight of him, her concern tender and palpable. "Rough night?" she murmured, her voice a soft in the dimly lit room.
"Isn't it always..." Jonathan's response carried the weight of struggles.
Sensing his need for solace, Y/n drew closer, her touch a soothing caress against his troubled brow. "Who was it this time?" she inquired, her voice laced with sympathy.
"Penguin and Two-Face," Jonathan's tone was tight, frustration simmering beneath the surface.
"And was Eddie there?" Y/n probed gently.
"Yeah," Jonathan confirmed, his arms folded tightly across his chest.
Y/n sighed, concern etched across her features. "Did he manage to escape safely?"
"Yeah, though he left me high and dry halfway through," Jonathan's words dripped with bitterness.
Y/n furrowed her brows in thought. "Hmm... as much as I appreciate Eddie's…intelect, maybe it's time you consider aligning with someone more intimidating than the Riddler," she suggested.
"That's easier said than done," Jonathan replied, his tone heavy with the weight of his predicament.
"You literally work at Arkham, I’m sure you can find someone," Y/n scoffed, playfully.
Jonathan ignored her suggestion, his attention moving to the clock on the wall. "You should be heading to bed. You've got uni in the morning," he remarked.
Y/n chuckled, amused by his bullshit distraction. "So do you!"
"Yeah, well, I'm your professor. I don’t want you to doze off during one of my own lectures," Jonathan retorted.
Y/n rose from the couch, a plea in her voice. "At least come to bed with me... please," she pouted.
Jonathan didn’t move, his gaze lingering on her. Y/n sighed, frustration evident, and grabbed his arm. "Let's go!" she tugged, pulling him off the couch.
"Yeah, yeah, just give me a minute. I'll be up in ten," Jonathan said, rising from his seat and making his way to his work desk.
"You better!" Y/n called after him, running the stairs to their bedroom.
As Y/n settled into bed, she couldn't shake off the worry that lingered from Jonathan's troubled demeanor. She knew his burdens weighed heavily on him, but she also understood the importance of his work and the dangers it entailed. One slip up and he’d be sent off to Arkham, and not as a doctor.
Minutes turned into what felt like hours as she waited for Jonathan to join her. Eventually, the metallic creak of the stairs echoed through the warehouse, signaling Jonathan's arrival, his expression still etched with weariness.
"Finally," Y/n teased, patting the empty space beside her on the bed. “You said 10 minutes, that was like 3 hours!”
“It was only half and hour,” Jonathan chuckled as he slipped under the covers, his tired frame sinking into the mattress.
“Still!” Y/n wrapped her arms around him, offering comfort.
"I'm sorry," Jonathan murmured, his voice heavy with exhaustion.
Y/n brushed her fingers through his hair soothingly. "There's nothing to apologize for. Just get some rest now," she reassured him, pressing a tender kiss to his forehead.
With Y/n's warmth enveloping him, Jonathan finally allowed himself to succumb to the embrace of sleep, grateful for the solace she provided in his hectic world.
-
The lecture had finished and two of them found themselves in Jonathan’s office. As Y/n lounged on Jonathan's couch, she let her mind wander, thinking about potential alliances, hoping to help the relentless pressure weighing on Jonathan.
"How about... Catwoman? You know her?" Y/n proposed, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
Jonathan, engrossed in his work, spared a moment to entertain her suggestion. "Catwoman? Just a cat burglar. No use. Besides, everyone knows Batman and her have a thing."
Y/n's brows furrowed in thought as she considered his response. "Hmm, true," she murmured, mentally crossing out Catwoman from her list.
Her eyes lit up with a new idea. "How about Mad Hatter?" she asked, her tone tinged with excitement.
Jonathan paused, briefly considering the possibility. "Jervis... You think Jervis will intimidate people?" he scoffed, a note of judgement coloring his voice.
"Well... maybe not, but can't he like... mind control and stuff?" Y/n persisted, her enthusiasm undeterred.
Jonathan nodded, acknowledging the potential usefulness of Mad Hatter's abilities. "Yeah, he can, but the likelihood of him teaming up with me is not high."
Undeterred by his negativity, Y/n continued to brainstorm. "Hmm, Bane's pretty scary. Wait, wait, wait! Killer Croc!" she exclaimed, a spark of excitement igniting in her eyes.
Jonathan's expression morphed into one of disbelief as he regarded her. "...Did you… did you use your brain before saying that?" he teased, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
Y/n's smile never faltered. "Think about it! He's huge! Scary! And probably indestructible."
"Yeah, you forget the part where he's not too fond of people, especially not us doctors," Jonathan pointed out, his tone laced with amusement at her enthusiasm.
"Well, maybe you just need to try being more likable," Y/n suggested with a casual shrug.
Jonathan stood up from his desk, his strides purposeful as he approached Y/n. "You don’t think I’m likable?" he asked, gently lifting her chin with his finger.
Y/n's eyes met his, a soft smile gracing her lips. "You're plenty likable to me, but everyone else thinks you're scary," she replied. "And it's not my opinion that matters, it's Croc's."
Jonathan took a seat beside her, Y/n instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck. "And if you can’t get anyone to like you, well then you’re just stuck with Eddie," she concluded, a playful tone coloring her words.
Jonathan sighed, his expression tired. “I’ll see what I can do.”
Y/n flashed him a smile and planted a kiss on his cheek. “Good boy,” she teased gently as she rose from the couch. “Well! You have fun. I have lectures and tutorials to attend.”
“I have somewhere to be this afternoon, so I’ll get Edward to pick you up,” Jonathan informed her.
“Okay, see you tonight then,” Y/n said, exiting his office with a wave.
-
As Y/n stepped out of the university building, the evening breeze carried with it a sense of relief, a welcome rest from the academic hustle and bustle. Her tired eyes scanned the dimly lit street, and she fumbled for her phone as it buzzed with an unknown caller. With a sigh, she answered, expecting Edward's familiar voice.
“Hiya, Eddie,” Y/n said.
“Good evening,” Edward's usual ominous tone greeted her, but the news he had was less than convenient. “I’m afraid it's a rain check tonight. Tell your lover boy I can’t come pick you up, I’m rather… preoccupied,” he explained, his voice tinged with apology.
Y/n couldn't suppress a soft chuckle at his choice of words. “No problem, but Jonathan won't be too pleased. You're becoming quite unreliable in his eyes,” she remarked, trying to lighten the mood.
Edward sighed lightly. “Well, perhaps if he stuck to our original plan, I wouldn’t need to leave him hanging. My apologies, nonetheless,” he replied, his tone sincere.
“It’s alright. Goodbye,” Y/n bid farewell, ending the call with a click.
With a quick swipe, she dialed Jonathan's number, anticipating his immediate concern. “Y/n? Is everything alright?” he asked, his voice laced with worry.
“I’m good, just a change of plans. Edward can’t make it,” Y/n reassured him, sensing his unease.
There was a muttered curse from Jonathan's end, a testament to his frustration. “I’ll try to make it as quickly as possible then,” he promised, his determination evident.
“I can manage. I’ll catch the bus and walk the rest of the way,” Y/n suggested, knowing she could handle the short journey.
“No, I don’t want you to do that,” Jonathan insisted, his protective instincts kicking in.
Y/n adjusted her bag on her shoulder, already making her way to the bus stop. "Well, I'll be waiting outside either way. Campus is closing up, so I can't stick around indoors," she informed Jonathan.
Jonathan let out a resigned sigh, his concern evident even through the phone. "Okay, just... keep me updated. Text me when you're on the bus, when you're off, and give me a call once you're home," he instructed, his tone protective.
Y/n couldn't help but inject a hint of humor into the situation. "Geez, even my parents weren't this paranoid," she teased lightly.
Jonathan's response was serious, his words weighed down by the reality of Gotham's dangers. "In this city, caution is necessary. Do you understand?" he reiterated, his concern radiating off the phone.
“Yes, yes, I understand. Bye bye,” Y/n reassured him before ending the call, feeling a sense of gratitude for his concern about her safety.
Tucking her phone into her pocket, Y/n stood at the bus stop, her gaze fixed on the approaching headlights. With a soft exhale, she boarded the bus without trouble, finding a seat towards the back.
Settling into her seat, she grabbed her phone and quickly typed a message to Jonathan, informing him that she got on the bus safely. The rhythmic hum of the bus's engine filled the air as she waited for a response, the unfamiliarity of the nighttime bus journey casting a subtle sense of unease over her. Yet, amidst the apprehension, there was a curious sense of peace in the solitude of the bus's dimly lit interior.
As the bus trundled along the familiar route, Y/n's mind wandered, thoughts drifting between the events of the day and the comforting presence of Jonathan awaiting her return. The soft glow of streetlights flickered through the windows, casting shifting patterns across the otherwise dim interior.
Soon, the bus came to a halt at Y/n's designated stop. Gathering her belongings, she rose from her seat and made her way towards the exit, offering a polite ‘thank you’ to the driver as she stepped off onto the sidewalk.
With a quick glance around, Y/n flicked Jonathan another text and beginning the short walk home. The city streets were quiet at this hour, a stark contrast to the bustling chaos of daytime.
As she walked, Y/n couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, a subtle prickle of awareness tingling at the back of her neck. Hastening her pace, she focused on the familiar landmarks that guided her path, eager to reach the safety of the warehouse.
As Y/n hurried along the deserted sidewalk, she sensed a shift in the atmosphere, a subtle tension that set her nerves on edge. Suddenly, a group of shadowy figures emerged from the darkness, blocking her path.
"Hey, sweetheart, fancy meeting you out here all alone," one of them leered.
Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she instinctively took a step back, her gaze darting between the menacing strangers. "Please, I don't want any trouble," she pleaded, her voice trembling.
But the men closed in, their intentions unmistakably hostile. "Sorry, doll, but we got orders," another one sneered, stepping forward menacingly. "Two-Face sends his regards."
Y/n's blood ran cold as she realized the gravity of the situation. These men weren't just petty criminals, they were carrying out the bidding of one of Gotham's villains because of some vendetta.
Panic surged through her veins as she searched for an escape route, but the alley behind her was blocked, and the men advanced with predatory intent. Desperation spurred her into action as she braced herself for whatever came next, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty.
As the tension reached its peak and the menacing men closed in on Y/n, a sudden rush of wind swept through the alley. Before anyone could react, a shadowy figure dropped from the rooftops, landing gracefully in front of the would-be assailants.
The men faltered, their arrogance crumbling in the face of the unexpected arrival. "What the-?" one of them stammered.
The figure stepped forward, emerging from the shadows cast by the flickering streetlights. As his silhouette materialized in the dimly lit alley, a hush fell over the group of men. The air seemed to thicken with tension, charged with the weight of his presence alone. Batman.
Batman's steely gaze swept over the would-be assailants, each piercing stare carrying an unspoken warning that resonated with the force of a thunderclap in the stillness of the night.
Caught off guard by the sudden appearance of Gotham's legendary protector, the men faltered, their confidence crumbling. Uncertainty flickered in their eyes, betraying their inner turmoil as they exchanged nervous glances, silently acknowledging the futility of their actions.
In the deafening silence that followed, no words were needed. The unspoken command of Batman's presence was enough to quell the impending threat, dispersing it like smoke in the wind. With hesitant steps, the men retreated into the darkness, their once-bold demeanor now replaced by a sense of defeat.
Y/n watched as Batman turned to her, his piercing gaze never softening. She sensed an air of interrogation surrounding their encounter, as if every word she’d speak would be questioned. Given her complicated situation with Jonathan, she couldn't shake the feeling she was in fact guilty.
"Thank you," Y/n offered hastily, her gaze dropping to the ground, unable to meet his eyes
As Y/n attempted to move past, the man blocked her path, his imposing figure casting a shadow over her. Anxiety surged through her veins as she wondered how Jonathan would react to this situation.
"What are you doing in these parts?" His voice was gruff, heavy with suspicion.
"I live around here," Y/n replied, trying to maintain her composure despite the rising tension.
His scrutinizing gaze bore into her, making her feel exposed under the dim streetlights. "Not many houses around this area," he remarked, his tone sending a shiver down her spine.
"No, there isn't," Y/n agreed, her voice faltering slightly. "Goodbye now." She lowered her head, hoping to evade further confrontation as she essentially pushed past him.
As Y/n walked briskly through the dimly lit streets, her senses were on high alert. Every sound seemed amplified, every shadow appeared menacing. The encounter with Two-Face's henchmen had left her on edge, and the sudden appearance of Batman only heightened her unease.
She could feel the weight of his gaze on her as he spoke, his voice resonating with authority. The darkness seemed to bend around him, adding an air of mystery to his presence.
“Allow me to walk you home,” Batman offered, his tone firm yet reassuring.
Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she debated how to respond. On one hand, having Batman by her side would undoubtedly deter any further threats. On the other hand, she couldn't let him know where she lived, considering it was a warehouse and Jonathan’s hideout.
“No! It's fine, thank you,” she replied hastily, her voice betraying her nerves.
Glancing over her shoulder, Y/n's heart skipped a beat when she found no trace of Batman. It was as if he had vanished into thin air, leaving behind only the memory of his presence. Surprised by his sudden disappearance, she couldn't shake the sense of awe that accompanied the realization of his silent departure. What they said about him was true.
As Batman vanished into the night, Y/n felt a rush of conflicting emotions flood through her. Relief washed over her as she watched him fade into the darkness, yet a lingering sense of unease gnawed at her. With a quickening of her pace, she hurried along the deserted streets, each step fueled by a growing urgency to reach the safety of her home to call Jonathan.
Shaking her head, Y/n turned her focus back to the path ahead, determined to put the encounter behind her. With every stride, she made her way closer to the sanctuary of the warehouse, her thoughts consumed by the figure of the Dark Knight and the mysteries that surrounded him.
Upon reaching the safety of the warehouse, she wasted no time in dialing Jonathan's number. His voice was laced with concern as soon as he answered.
“Did you make it home safe?” he asked urgently, his worry radiating even through the phone.
Y/n hesitated, unsure of how to break the news. “Well, uh… about that…”
“I’m coming home now,” Y/n could hear Jonathan moving around quickly through the phone.
“No, it's fine. Just finish… whatever you're doing, I'm fine now,” Y/n reassured him, her voice faltering slightly.
“Tell me what happened,” Jonathan demanded, his tone firm yet worried.
Y/n took a deep breath before recounting the encounter with Two-Face's goons and the unexpected appearance of Batman. "So, I got off the bus, right? And then these guys came out of nowhere, talking about a 'message from Two-Face.' It was pretty scary, but they didn't lay a finger on me," she explained. “It was pretty fun actually,” Y/n chuckled.
As Y/n tried to inject a hint of humor to lighten the mood, Jonathan's worry remained steadfast, his voice edged with tension.
“Y/n, this is serious,” Jonathan's voice was stern.
Feeling the weight of the situation settle upon her, Y/n couldn't help but sigh. “Well… the Batman showed up…”
There was a heavy silence on the other end of the line as Jonathan processed her words. “Y/n, am I safe to come home?” his question hung in the air, filled with uncertainty.
“Yes, I… I thanked him and told him to leave me alone,” Y/n replied, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
“But he knows you now. He's going to be suspicious,” Jonathan's mind was already racing with potential consequences.
“Yeah, I know,” Y/n sighed, her thoughts consumed by the implications of their encounter with Gotham's infamous vigilante.
"I'm just finishing up here. I should be back in half an hour. Don't open the door for anyone, don't leave the warehouse, and if something's wrong, call me," Jonathan's voice crackled through the phone.
"I already know this, Jonathan," Y/n replied, her tone laced with a hint of frustration.
"I know," Jonathan acknowledged before hanging up.
Y/n let her hand holding the phone drop to her side, her fingers trembling slightly. She made her way to her bed, the weight of the evening's events bearing down on her. Crawling under the covers, Y/n sought solace in the cocoon of blankets, hoping it would offer some comfort while she waited on Jonathan.
-
Y/n was jolted awake by the echo of the warehouse door slamming shut, she hadn’t even noticed she had fallen asleep. Disoriented and groggy, she blinked several times before realizing where she was.
"Y/n!" Jonathan's voice pierced through the silence, carrying a tone of urgency.
Pushing herself up from the bed, Y/n's heart raced as she hurried down the stairs, her steps echoing in the space of the warehouse. Before she could even reach the ground floor, Jonathan was there, his presence reassuring and comforting. His hands were warm as they cradled her face, his concern etched in the furrow of his brow.
"Are you okay?" Jonathan's voice was urgent, his eyes searching hers for any sign of distress.
Y/n managed a weak smile, her own concern momentarily forgotten in the face of Jonathan's worry. "Doing a lot better than you, apparently," she said, chuckling a little even in the tense moment.
But Jonathan's expression remained serious, his brow furrowing even deeper. "I should have known this was going to happen. I should have made sure you were prepared. This is my fault," he murmured, his tone heavy with self-blame.
"Slow down, Jonathan. It's fine, I'm fine," Y/n reassured him, her voice calm and steady despite the lingering remnants of sleep clouding her mind.
Sensing the need for a moment of respite, Jonathan guided Y/n to the nearby couch, his movements gentle yet purposeful. With a sigh, Y/n sank into the cushions, the events of the evening still swirling in her mind as she waited for Jonathan to speak.
"I'm going to make sure this never happens again, okay?" Jonathan's voice was confident. Y/n could only manage a nod in response, her mind still reeling from the recent events.
As Jonathan moved around the room, his purposeful strides echoed in the quiet space. He retrieved something from his workbench and approached Y/n, a small canister in his hand.
"This is a small canister of my fear gas. You keep this with you always. If you encounter any problems, you spray it in their face. Do not breathe it in," he instructed, pressing the canister into her hand.
"But what about Batman? He'll find out," Y/n asked, putting the canister on the coffee table. He’d know her connection with Scarecrow if she sprayed him with fear gas.
"I'm still figuring that out," Jonathan admitted, a hint of frustration lacing his words as he ran a hand through his hair.
Y/n watched Jonathan's movements with a mix of concern and guilt. Each stride seemed to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, his brows furrowed in deep concentration, the flickering light cast by the single bulb overhead danced across his features, accentuating the lines of worry etched into his face.
As he paced back and forth, Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt gnawing at her insides. She replayed the events of the evening in her mind, each moment a stark reminder of her vulnerability. A knot formed in her stomach, a silent acknowledgment of the burden she unwittingly placed upon him.
Lost in her thoughts, Y/n's gaze drifted downward, her hands fidgeting restlessly in her lap. Picking at the skin around her nails, she couldn't bear to meet Jonathan's eyes, fearing the weight of his disappointment or worse, his blame. Instead, she sought solace in the safety of herself, hoping to find some semblance of clarity amidst the turmoil of emotions swirling within her, although nothing could comfort her like Jonathan could.
Suddenly, Jonathan's movements ceased, his attention drawn to Y/n's shift in demeanor. He knelt before her, his hands cradling her face with a tenderness that contrasted his earlier agitation.
"This is not your fault, you know that. None of this is your fault," Jonathan's voice was gentle yet firm, his gaze unwavering as he locked eyes with hers.
"You are my girl, and it was my duty to protect you. I wasn't there, and for that, I'm sorry," Jonathan confessed, his words laced with sincerity.
Y/n managed a small smile, her heart swelling with warmth at his words. "I'm your girl," she repeated softly.
"That's right, and I'm going to make sure you are never in that situation ever again," Jonathan vowed, sealing his promise with a tender kiss upon her forehead.
Y/n's arms wrapped around Jonathan's neck, her touch a gentle plea for comfort and closeness. "Take me to bed," she murmured, her voice a soft melody in the dimly lit room.
Jonathan's lips curved into a tender smile at her request. "Of course, my dear," he replied, his tone carrying the warmth of affection.
With effortless grace, Jonathan scooped her up from the couch, cradling her in his arms like a doll. He moved with smoothly through the warehouse, navigating the familiar path to their shared bed. Gently lowering her onto the soft mattress, he lingered for a moment, savoring the intimacy of the moment before retreating to change into more comfortable attire.
Meanwhile, Y/n eagerly awaited his return, her heart warm. As Jonathan finished changing into more relaxed clothing, Y/n's eyes sparkled with warmth and adoration.
Climbing into bed beside her, Jonathan enveloped her in his embrace, the warmth of his body a comforting presence against her own. Y/n nestled closer, seeking solace in his arms, her worries momentarily forgotten in the safety of their shared space.
"Can we just stay here tomorrow? I don’t want to go to uni," Y/n murmured softly, her voice tinged with reluctance.
Jonathan's chuckle rumbled through the room. "While you could easily skip out on lectures, I’m the one teaching them, so it won’t be that simple," he teased gently.
Y/n's pout softened into a playful grin as she persisted, her eyes pleading with him to indulge her whims. "My other lecturers and Professors cancel lectures all the time. You can do it too," she urged, her voice filled with mischief.
Jonathan's sighed, a testament to the power she held over him. "For you, I will. But just this once," he relented, his gaze softening with unspoken affection as he met her pleading eyes. Y/n cherished every moment they shared like this.
Y/n's heart swelled with gratitude, a radiant smile lighting up her features as she pressed a tender kiss to his cheek. She knew how Jonathan had a soft spot for her and she intended to use it to her advantage.
"Can you tell me what you were doing today?" Y/n asked, look up at Jonathan.
Jonathan hesitated briefly, his expression guarded as he weighed his response. "Just sorting out a mess Batman put me in. Nothing important," he finally replied, his words vague.
Y/n decided not to pry and leaned in closer, her eyes alight with curiosity. "Can I come with you to Arkham next time?" she asked eagerly.
"Why?" Jonathan asked, looking down at her.
"I want to look for potential allies for you," Y/n replied sweetly.
Jonathan's brow furrowed with concern. "It’s a dangerous place, Y/n, you know that. And after tonight, I don’t want you to put yourself at that risk," he cautioned.
"But I have you," Y/n countered softly, her gaze unwavering as she met his eyes.
Jonathan's eyes softened as he looked down at Y/n. "Fine, but you don't leave my side," he said.
Y/n met his gaze with a nod. "Understood," she replied.
Jonathan leaned back against the pillows, pulling Y/n closer to him. “Now, go to sleep.” His arm wrapped protectively around her.
Y/n nestled into his embrace, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath her cheek. A small smile played on her lips as she closed her eyes.
-
Y/n practically bounced with excitement as they made their way to Arkham. Jonathan, though usually reserved, couldn't help but stress about her safety, especially after last night. The morning air was crisp as they drove in the car, Y/n chattering away about what ever came to her mind.
Jonathan had envisioned a lazy day at home with Y/n, perhaps catching up on some reading or simply enjoying each other's company, but Y/n's eagerness to visit Arkham Asylum to find possible allies for Jonathan sparked a new energy in her, one that Jonathan couldn't resist. Despite his initial reluctance, he found himself giving in.
As they pulled up to the imposing structure, Jonathan turned to her, his expression serious as he outlined the rules for their visit.
"You don't speak to anyone unless I allow it," he began, his voice carrying a weight of authority. "If we interact with a patient, you stay behind me. You don't leave my office unless I say you can, and only with me accompanying you. Understand?"
Y/n nodded eagerly, she had already forgotten the first rule. "Got it," she replied.
As they stepped through the doors of Arkham, Y/n couldn't help but feel a chill run down her spine. The air seemed to grow colder, the atmosphere thick with an eerie quietness was sometimes broken with screams of patients through the walls of the facility.
Following the security protocols, they passed by stern-faced guards who eyed, their presence a stark reminder of the dangers that lurked within the walls of Arkham. Y/n felt a sense of unease settle in the pit of her stomach, but she pushed it aside. It’s not like it was her first time at Arkham, but today, it just felt different.
As they walked down the corridors, the air was heavy with the scent of antiseptic, mingling with the faint hint of decay that seemed to linger in the air. They passed by other doctors and staff members, each lost in their own world as they hurried about their duties. Y/n offered polite nods and smiles as they passed. Finally, they arrived at their destination, the door looming before them like a gateway to another world.
Entering Jonathan's office, Y/n took in the familiar sight with a playful smirk. Not a single thing had changed from when she was last there. "Wow, you sure changed things up in here, didn’t ya?" she teased, glancing around at the familiar decor.
Jonathan closed the door behind them with a soft click. "Well, you know me," he replied, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Y/n's eyes sparkled with excitement as she turned to face him. "So... can I take a look at some patient files?" she asked, sweetly.
"I have a few patient files in that cabinet," he said, pointing toward a nearby filing cabinet. "But those are just the ones I have access to, the rest you’d have to look up on the computer. God, why am I encouraging this," Jonathan sighed, shaking his head slightly.
Y/n grinned, moving toward the cabinet. "Because deep down, you know you could use another ally. Edward has been doing… admirably, but the two of you could use some extra assistance," she remarked, pulling open the cabinet door.
Rummaging through the files in the cabinet, Y/n couldn't find anything particularly intriguing at first. Nonetheless, she knew she had to comb through them thoroughly. Pulling out a stack of files, she placed them on the floor and settled in front of them.
As she sifted through the scattered documents, Y/n let out an exasperated sigh. "This is going to be..." Her words trailed off abruptly as her eyes landed on a familiar name. "Hey! It's Eddie's file!" she exclaimed, snatching up the folder labeled ‘Edward Nygma’.
Y/n eagerly flipped through the pages, scanning Jonathan's notes on Edward's behavior with keen interest. As Y/n delved into Edward's file, she couldn’t help the cheeky smile that sat on her face.
"Let's see what we've got there," Y/n said.
Y/n scanned through the pages until she reached Jonathan's comments. "Hmm, it says here that Edward's behavior has been erratic, with notable mood swings and a tendency towards belittling people," she summarized, glancing up at Jonathan.
Jonathan nodded thoughtfully. "And my point still stands, Edward can be quite the pain at times. He's a brilliant mind, but his ego can be a challenge to manage. He's proven himself to be a valuable ally, albeit a complicated one," he explained, his brow furrowing slightly.
Y/n set the file aside with a sigh. "True, we can't have two Edwards, as delightful as that might seem.”
Y/n immersed herself in the task, each file a window into the troubled minds housed within Arkham's walls. She carefully studied the details, from the patients' histories to their treatment plans, searching for any glimmer of hope among the darkness. Some files bore the scars of past trauma, while others hinted at the depths of madness that consumed the paitents.
Despite the grim surroundings, Y/n remained undeterred, her will unwavering as she searched through the records. She knew that finding the right ally for Jonathan was crucial, and she refused to let the daunting task daunt her.
-
As Y/n sifted through the final file, she couldn't shake the nagging feeling of disappointment. Deep down, she knew the individual she had in mind wouldn't be found among these records. Still, she looked through them hoping that another potential ally would catch her eye before she reached the inevitable conclusion. But that sadly did not happen.
Y/n's disappointment lingered like a heavy cloud as she leaned against the couch behind her. Jonathan, absorbed in his paperwork, looked over at her.
"Didn't find anyone?" Jonathan's voice broke the silence.
Y/n shook her head, her lips forming a small frown. "No," she murmured.
Rising from his desk with a sigh, Jonathan approached her, his presence a comforting anchor in the midst of her frustration. He offered a hand as they began to gather the files strewn across the floor.
Together, they arranged the files back into the cabinet, the soft click of folders echoing in the quiet room. Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment as she closed the cabinet door.
Jonathan's touch was gentle as he cupped her face in his hands, his eyes reflecting understanding and compassion. "Thank you for trying to help me," he whispered, his voice a soothing balm to her disappointed thoughts.
"I just want you to be safe," Y/n confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to lose you."
Jonathan's expression softened, his thumb gently brushing against her cheek. "I know, Dear. And I promise you, I will never leave you," he vowed, his words infused with sincerity.
A tender kiss sealed their unspoken promise, the warmth of Jonathan's lips against hers a reminder of the care that bound them together.
“I’m going to get you something to eat, you’ve worked really hard. Feel free to use my computer.” As he offered her the use of his computer, Y/n's mind raced with anticipation, her pulse quickening with renewed hope.
Alone in the quiet office, Y/n wasted no time in accessing Jonathan's work files, her fingers moving with purpose as she typed in the name she had been longing to find: 'Waylon Jones.' With each keystroke, her excitement grew, anticipation thrumming in her veins as she delved into the possibilities that lay ahead.
Only one file was shown on the screen. She hadn't anticipated much information, and true to her expectations, the file offered little beyond a photo, a name, and the location of the detainee. Still, it was a small victory to have confirmation that he was indeed housed at Arkham.
As she clicked through the sparse details, Y/n couldn't suppress a wry smile. The file painted a vivid picture of the individual in question: big, aggressive, and extremely resistant to any attempts at examination or treatment from doctors. It seemed he had garnered quite the reputation among the staff, earning him the privilege of a solitary confinement cell, though it sounded more like a shitty underground chamber than a conventional cell.
According to the file, Waylon Jones, also known as Killer Croc, had been transferred from Blackgate Penitentiary after a series of violent incounters with other inmates, that including cannibalism, this prompting his relocation to Arkham's more secure confines. With no mention of guards stationed outside his cell, it seemed they deemed the iron door barrier formidable enough to deter any escape attempts.
As Y/n absorbed the details, a surge of excitement coursed through her veins. The thought of finding a potential ally for Jonathan filled her with anticipation. However, her excitement quickly gave way to a sinking feeling of dread. She realized that Jonathan would never allow her to come into contact with someone as dangerous as Killer Croc. His aggressive reputation and cannibalistic tendencies made him too great a risk.
Glancing at her phone, she saw the message from Jonathan. He said that while getting her food, he was caught up by other doctors and forced along to an unexpected paitent emergency. With her heart racing and adrenaline coursing through her veins, Y/n made a split-second decision. She would take matters into her own hands, consequences be damned. With Jonathan occupied and unavailable for atleast an hour, she saw a narrow window of opportunity opening before her.
Rummaging through Jonathan's desk drawers, Y/n's fingers fumbled in search of an additional access card of his. She knew her visitor pass would only grant her limited access, and if she were to proceed with her impromptu plan, she needed all the clearance she could get.
With an access card in hand and her resolve steeled, Y/n braced herself for what lay ahead. Was this very last minute and stupid? Absolutely! Could she possibly die? More than likely. Did she wish she could take a shot of vodka first? 100%. Yet, despite the looming dangers and uncertainties, she couldn't suppress a faint flicker of hope.
Stepping out of the office, Y/n's pulse quickened with every beat. She closed the door behind her with a soft click, casting a wary glance down the dimly lit hallway. The eerie silence that enveloped the corridor sent a shiver down her spine. The absence of security measures was glaringly evident, something that should have brought her little comfort instead made her feel at ease.
Despite her guilt for disregarding Jonathan's instructions, Y/n clung to the hope that her disobedience would prove to be useful. Perhaps she could return before he even realized she was gone, and if everything goes well, she might present Jonathan with a potential ally.
Y/n's gaze flitted nervously from side to side, taking in every detail of her surroundings. The walls were lined with faded posters and peeling paint, remnants of attempts to brighten the otherwise gloomy corridors. A shiver ran down her spine as she passed by the occasional door, worried someone was going to pop out at any minute.
As she reached the map mounted on the wall, she hesitated for a moment, her fingers trembling slightly as she aimed her phone to capture the image. The soft glow of her screen illuminated the map, revealing a maze of corridors and rooms, each labeled discreetly.
With the photo safely stored on her phone, Y/n continued her journey towards the elevator. The low hum of the fluorescent lights buzzed in her ears. Every step brought her closer to the elevator, which only brought the feeling of unease.
As the elevator doors slid open with a soft hiss, Y/n stepped inside, her heart pounding in her chest. She took a deep breath, steeling herself for the unknown as she scanned Jonathan’s access card and pressed the button for the basement floor. The elevator lurched into motion, descending into the depths of Arkham Asylum.
She sighed in relief as the card granted her access, though the ease with which she snuck around Arkham only served to boost her nerves. The dimly lit hallway stretched before her, its atmosphere adding to her sense of unease.
Y/n found herself appalled by the lack of security measures as she descended to the bottom floor. Pulling out her phone to consult the map, she cursed as the map to photographed only covered floors 3 and 4, prompting a groan of frustration. Nevertheless, she pressed on, determined to navigate the unfamiliar territory.
Fortunately, another map awaited her, and she quickly snapped a photo before studying it intently. The harsh fluorescent lights flickered above as she traced the route to Killer Croc's cell, designated as WC286. She couldn't help but scoff at the irony of housing such a dangerous inmate in what appeared to be the dank confines of the sewers.
"How humane," Y/n muttered sarcastically as she set off toward her destination.
Each step echoed against the concrete walls, accompanied by the ominous sounds of dripping pipes that seemed to heighten her unease.
Arriving at what she assumed to be the designated food storage area for Croc, Y/n hesitated momentarily before opening the refrigerator. The sight that greeted her was disgusting. An array of raw, whole chickens arranged haphazardly on the shelves. The pungent odor of blood and decay wafted from within, assaulting her senses and causing her to gag.
Despite her disgust, Y/n selected a chicken, her fingers recoiling slightly from its slimy surface. With a steadying breath, she closed the fridge and turned her attention to the door leading to Croc's cell. The anticipation coiled in her stomach. This was it.
As she approached the heavy door, Y/n's pulse quickened, her hand trembling slightly as she swiped Jonathan's access card. The electronic beep of the scanner reverberated in the corridor, amplifying her anxiety. With bated breath, she watched as the indicator light flashed green, signaling her entry.
With a hesitant motion, Y/n released the lock mechanism, the metallic click resonating in the silence. Gripping the door handle tightly, she pushed it open, the heavy metal creaking ominously against its hinges. As the threshold of Croc's cell loomed before her, Y/n readied herself for the encounter, bracing for whatever lay beyond.
As Y/n stepped across the threshold, a chill swept over her, sending shivers down her spine. The dim, flickering light cast eerie shadows that danced along the damp walls of the sewer. The air was thick with the musty scent of decay, mingling with the metallic tang of moisture and the faint hint of something primal and animalistic.
With cautious steps, Y/n descended into the depths of the sewer, her footsteps echoing against the cold, wet floor. The narrow path stretched out before her, twisting and turning into darkness.
"Hello?" Y/n's voice bounced off the walls. "I, uh... I brought some chicken."
A sudden ripple broke the silence, disturbing the murky water nearby. Y/n's heart leaped into her throat as she spun around, her eyes widening in alarm. Emerging from the depths was a figure, its form obscured by the murky waters. As it drew closer, the dim light revealed its scaly, green skin, and its piercing yellow eyes glowed with an eerie intensity.
Y/n's breath caught in her throat as she instinctively raised the chicken in a feeble attempt at a peace offering. "I'm not a doctor!" she blurted out, her voice trembling with fear.
The echoes of Y/n's words lingered in the cavernous space as she stood, her senses heightened, acutely aware of the looming figure before her. Waylon's form, still submerged, seemed to meld with the darkness. Each movement sent ripples across the murky water below.
“You lost, girl?” Waylon's gravelly voice cut through the silence. Y/n felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She swallowed nervously, the sound reverberating in the stillness of the sewer.
"No," Y/n responded, her voice barely above a whisper, the word hanging in the air like a fragile thread.
The faint glint of curiosity flickered in Waylon's yellow eyes as he regarded her with suspicion. His presence exuded an aura of primal strength, sending a shiver down Y/n's spine.
As she struggled to find her words, Y/n pressed herself against the cold, damp wall, seeking some semblance of security in the darkness that enveloped them. “Then what are you doing here?” She could feel the weight of Waylon's gaze, an unspoken challenge in his penetrating stare.
Summoning her courage, Y/n introduced herself, her voice trembling with uncertainty. “My name is Y/n.”
“So?” Waylon's response was a low, guttural growl, his demeanor unyielding as he judged her.
Y/n's heart raced as she struggled to find a reason for her presence in this desolate place. “I would like to be acquaintances, or something,” The fear of his impending judgment hung heavy in the air, suffocating her attempts at explanation.
“Why?” He asked, moving closer to her through the water.
With a shaky breath, Y/n said “I would like your help,” her words faltering in the face of Waylon's imposing figure. The tension between them was palpable, a silent exchange of power and vulnerability.
“And what’s stopping me from eating you?” Waylon's question echoed in the darkness, a stark reminder of the risk of her situation.
“Nothing… but if you’re hungry, you can have chicken,” Y/n's pulse quickened as she extended the offering of chicken.
His eyes shifted between her and the chicken. Suddenly, Waylon lunged up, out of the water. Y/n screamed, her senses overwhelmed by the rush of water and the frightening movement of the creature before her.
As the echoes of her startled scream faded into the darkness, Y/n found herself trembling, her pulse racing with adrenaline. The encounter had left her shaken, yet she couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope amidst the fear. She was okay.
Waylon tore into the chicken with primal ferocity, his sharp teeth gnashing at the bones with a savage hunger. Y/n watched in a mixture of fascination and disgust, her hand recoiling as she realized it had just held the now-devoured meal.
As Waylon remained preoccupied with his feast, Y/n took the moment to attempt to clean her hand. With a grimace of disgust, she crouched down and swished her hand into the murky water, a futile attempt to cleanse away the filth.
Her efforts were met with Waylon's gruff observation, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife. “That water ain’t clean, girl.” Y/n's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she withdrew her hand.
Desperate to shift the focus away from her awkward blunder, Y/n attempted to strike up a conversation, her voice laced with forced casualness. “So uhh… you like it down here?” She glanced around the dimly lit surroundings, the oppressive atmosphere weighing heavily on her.
“Would you?” Waylon's response was blunt, his words carrying the weight of bitter resignation. Y/n couldn't help but empathize with the sense of isolation and despair that permeated the damp confines of the sewer.
“Uh.. no, no I would not..” The realization of the stark contrast between her privileged existence and Waylon's grim reality struck a chord within her, filling her with a profound sense of gratitude for the life she took for granted above ground.
Finishing the chicken, Waylon regarded her with skepticism, his imposing figure still partially submerged in the murky water. His demeanor had softened slightly, no longer radiating the same intimidating presence as before.
"Why you need my help?" His asked, curiously.
Y/n hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing her words. "Have you heard of Dr. Crane?" she asked, her tone lowered to a hushed whisper.
“What about him?” Waylon asked, sounding tense.
“You know his… alter ego?” Y/n said, discreetly.
"The Crow Boy," he muttered, his words filled with an air of familiarity.
Y/n nodded in acknowledgment. "He's facing some... problems with a certain… bird and… coin," she continued cryptically, her eyes darting around the surroundings for any signs of eavesdroppers.
"And what does that have to do with me?" Waylon's piercing gaze fixed on Y/n.
"I was wondering if you could help him… be an ally," Y/n replied.
Waylon remained silent for a moment, contemplating her proposal. "I ain't much help in here," he scoffed.
A flicker of determination sparked in Y/n's eyes as she leaned in closer, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can help you," she said, her words filled with hope.
Y/n's heart skipped a beat as she felt the vibration in her pocket. With a gasp, she grabbed her phone from her pocket, her stomach twisting with apprehension. It was Jonathan.
She answered with a shaky voice, "Hello?"
The stern tone of Jonathan's voice sent a shiver down her spine. "Where are you?" he demanded, his concern hidden behind his blank anger.
"Um, sorry, I'm on my way back," Y/n replied hastily, not giving Jonathan a chance to respond before hanging up.
Waylon observed her with a knowing expression, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes. "I take it you didn't tell him of your little visit down here?" he remarked dryly.
"I have to go," Y/n said hurriedly, slipping her phone back into her pocket.
With a quick glance back at Waylon, Y/n offered a brief wave. "I'll see you later," she called out before darting off towards the security door.
Y/n's heart raced as she completed the security measures at the door, her fingers trembling slightly as she ensured everything appeared undisturbed. Y/n paused for a moment, with a cautious glance over her shoulder, she surveyed the corridor behind her, her senses on high alert. Satisfied that all seemed quiet and undisturbed, she turned back around to continue on her way.
But as she turned, her breath caught in her throat, and her heart skipped a beat. Standing right in front of her was Jonathan. The unexpected sight sent a jolt of adrenaline coursing through her veins, and she froze in place, her pulse quickening with a mix of surprise and apprehension.
"Uh… hey, Jonathan..." Y/n's voice faltered, a nervous edge creeping into her tone.
Jonathan's response was a stern silence, his features rigid with barely contained anger.
"Jonathan?" Y/n's voice wavered as she tried to meet his gaze, but he remained stoically silent, his jaw set in a tight line.
Without a word, he grabbed her wrist in a firm grip, his fingers closing around her skin with a vice-like grip. Y/n let out a small gasp of surprise, her pulse quickening at the thightness of his grip.
With a tug, Jonathan began to drag her towards the elevator, his grip unyielding as he pulled her into the elevator. Y/n stumbled slightly, her heart pounding in her chest as she struggled to keep pace with his stride. Each step feeling heavier than the last as the weight of Jonathan's anger bore down upon her.
As they reached the elevator, Jonathan scanned his ID. The soft hum of the elevator filled the tense silence between them as they waited, the air thick with unspoken tension.
When the doors slid open, Jonathan released her wrist, but his gaze remained fixed upon her with an intensity that made her skin prickle with unease. Without a word, he gestured for her to exit the elevator, his silent command clear.
With a trembling breath, Y/n stepped out, the weight of Jonathan's silent anger heavy upon her shoulders.
Y/n's heart pounded in her chest with nervousness. With each step closer to Jonathan's office, her stomach twisted into tighter knots of anxiety, a sense of unease settling over her like a heavy fog.
Upon reaching the door, Y/n hesitated, her hand hovering over the handle as she braced herself for what would lay ahead. Jonathan's presence behind her felt suffocating, his towering figure casting a shadow over her as he stood just a breath away.
With a sharp click, Jonathan unlocked the door. Y/n entered the office as Jonathan followed close behind her. The door closed with a resounding thud, sealing them both in a confined space.
Turning to face Jonathan, Y/n felt a knot tighten in her stomach, her fingers trembling with nerves. She opened her mouth to speak, but before she could utter a word, Jonathan's voice cut through the air like a whip, sharp and unforgiving.
"Jonathan, I—" Y/n began, but her words were drowned out by the force of his anger, his voice bouncing off the walls of the small office.
"What were you thinking?" Jonathan's voice was filled with anger, his eyes blazing with barely contained rage.
"You kn—" Y/n attempted to explain herself, but Jonathan's outburst was relentless.
"Do you know how dangerous that was, Y/n?!" Jonathan's words came out in a flood of frustration, his tone harsh.
"Yes, but I—" Y/n tried to protest, but Jonathan's tirade showed no signs of stopping, his anger boiling over.
"I told you to stay here, but you didn't listen to me! Not only that, but you took my access card, and now there's probably footage of you going into Croc's cell! I'm going to have to go through the files and delete whatever footage there is of you!" Jonathan walked back and forth, trying to get a hold of his frustration.
"I'm sorry, Jonathan. I know I've probably caused so much trouble for you," Y/n began. She glanced down at the access card in her hand, a silent acknowledgment of her mistake.
Jonathan's eyes narrowed as he regarded her, his brow furrowed with frustration. "You could have died, Y/n. What were you thinking!" His voice boomed in the office, echoing off the walls with a force that made Y/n flinch.
Feeling the weight of Jonathan's disappointment, Y/n took a step forward, her heart racing. "I was thinking about you! I'm sorry, I should have told you, but look, I'm okay!" Her voice wavered slightly, her eyes pleading for him to understand.
Jonathan's laughter cut through the tension, but there was no humor in it, only a bitter edge that sent a shiver down Y/n's spine. "You are never leaving the warehouse," he laughed, his eyes filled with darkness.
Y/n's shoulders sagged with the weight of his words, but she refused to back down. "Jonathan, please! Waylon is willing to help!" Her voice rose in urgency.
Jonathan's stomped around the room, his anger radiating off of him. Y/n stood rooted to the spot, her pulse racing as she watched him gather his belongings. The click of his briefcase snapping shut echoed like a final verdict.
With a sharp intake of breath, Jonathan's hand closed around Y/n's wrist, his grip tight and unyielding. She winced at the pressure, feeling the weight of his anger bearing down on her.
"Jonathan, please..." Y/n's voice wavered.
But Jonathan's response cut her off. "Stop talking," he commanded, his tone brooking no argument. Y/n fell silent, her heart sinking with the weight of his disappointment.
The hallway seemed to stretch on endlessly as Jonathan marched forward with determined strides. Y/n hurried to keep up, her steps clumsy as she struggled to match his pace. Her heart hammered in her chest, the weight of regret and guilt bearing down on her with each passing moment. Jonathan's shoulders were squared and jaw set in a firm line.
Tears threatened to spill from Y/n's eyes as Jonathan's grip on her wrist tightened, a silent, but bruising reminder of his anger. She swallowed hard, wishing she could turn back time and undo her reckless actions.
As they reached the exit, the cool air outside offered little relief from the stifling tension between them. Y/n cast a glance back at the now-empty hallway, praying no one saw the two of them. He practically forced Y/n into the passenger seat of his car, the force of his actions leaving her shaken.
Behind the wheel, Jonathan's jaw was set, his knuckles white against the steering wheel as he drove with single-minded focus. The tension in the car was tight, a silent testament to the breach of trust between them.
As they pulled up to the warehouse, Jonathan slammed the car door shut with a resounding thud. Y/n hesitated, her hands trembling as she reached for the door handle. She had no time before Jonathan pulled open her door and yanked her out.
Wordlessly, Jonathan unlocked the warehouse door and ushered Y/n inside. The atmosphere inside was heavy with tension, each step echoing with the weight of their strained relationship.
Y/n trailed behind Jonathan as he moved through the warehouse, each click of the lock sending a shiver down her spine. His movements were methodical, reminiscent of the way he had locked her in when he first brought her here. The sound of the locks sliding into place echoed in the silence, sealing off any chance of escape. Y/n's heart sank as she watched Jonathan lock the warehouse door. The sound echoed in the empty space, filling her with a sense of dread. She couldn't bear the thought of being trapped again. Jonathan's jaw was set in a rigid line, his eyes cold and distant as he shut her out, both physically and emotionally.
Tears welled in Y/n's eyes as she struggled to find the right words to explain herself. "Jonathan, please," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to upset you. I was just trying to help."
But Jonathan remained silent, his back turned to her as he continued his task. The sound of locks clicking shut reverberated through the warehouse, each one sealing her fate a little more tightly.
Jonathan's expression softened slightly as he turned to face Y/n, his gaze piercing through her tear-filled eyes. "Y/n, I need you to understand the gravity of what you've done," he began, his voice heavy with disappointment. "You put yourself in danger, disregarding every warning I've given you. Do you realize how reckless that was?"
Y/n nodded weakly, her shoulders slumped in defeat. "I'm sorry, Jonathan," she managed to choke out between sobs.
Jonathan's features softened further as he knelt down in front of her, his hand reaching out to gently cup her cheek. "I know you didn't, but that doesn't change the fact that your actions could have had serious consequences," he said softly. "I need you to promise me that you'll never do something like this again."
Y/n nodded, her tears continuing to flow unabated. "I promise, Jonathan. I'll never do anything like this again," she vowed, her voice barely above a whisper.
Jonathan pulled her into a comforting embrace, holding her close as they both sought solace in each other's presence. Despite the turmoil of the moment, there was an unspoken understanding between them.
As Jonathan held her close, Y/n couldn't help but feel like a child, being told off by an adult. She buried her face in his chest, seeking comfort in his embrace while silently chastising herself for her impulsive actions.
Y/n slowly collected herself, she realized Jonathan's actions were likely meant to be more of a warning to scare her than an actual punishment. As Jonathan pulled away and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
"Go clean yourself up," Jonathan said gently. "I need to call Edward."
With a nod, Y/n rose from her place on the floor. She headed off to the shower. Despite feeling shaken by Jonathan's reaction, she couldn't deny the underlying sense of relief that washed over her. Deep down, she knew that his protectiveness stemmed from a place of genuine concern and affection. While his actions had scared her, she understood that they were necessary, a stark reminder of the dangers she had exposed herself to.
As she processed it all, a wave of gratitude washed over her, mingling with a profound sense of dependence on Jonathan. Despite being the cause of her distress, he was also the only one who could soothe her troubled mind. In his arms, she found solace and security, a comforting refuge from the frightening world.
-
Y/n's shower was quick. Stepping out into the dimly lit expanse of the warehouse which she called home, she felt the weight of Jonathan's gaze before she even saw him. He was immersed in his work at the workbench, the soft glow of the computer screen casting shadows across his features.
Intrigued, Y/n approached him, her curiosity piqued by the images flickering across the monitor. As she peered over his shoulder, she caught sight of the video footage from Arkham playing on the screen, her heart skipping a beat at the sight.
"Is this what you called Edward for?" Y/n asked.
Jonathan glanced up, his gaze meeting hers through the lenses of his glasses. “Yes,” he replied simply.
Without a word, he gestured for her to join him, his silent invitation drawing her closer. Tentatively, she settled onto his lap, nestling into his embrace. She felt a sense of familiarity and warmth wash over her, easing the tension that had knotted her muscles.
Together, they watched the footage unfold, the scenes playing out before them like a silent movie. She found herself leaning into him, seeking solace in his touch and the safety of his embrace. His touch was gentle against her skin, his presence a reassuring anchor in the storm of her thoughts.
"I apologize for how I treated you earlier," Jonathan's words were soft against her cheek, his breath warm against her skin.
Y/n offered a faint smile, a silent acknowledgment of his apology while her heart swelled with a mixture of gratitude and relief. “It’s okay,” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek.
Jonathan leaned his head against her shoulder, his warmth enveloping her like a protective shield against the world. “I shouldn’t be encouraging this, but it looks like you did well… Waylon didn’t seem to mind you,” he observed.
Resting her head against Jonathan's shoulder, she allowed herself a moment of relief, her gaze fixed on the screen before them.  Y/n couldn't help but smile at his words, a sense of accomplishment swelling within her chest.
But her joy was short-lived as Jonathan's expression turned somber, his gaze fixed on the screen as he changed the video. “But I need you to understand the gravity of your actions.”
The images flickered and danced across the surface, a stark reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows of Gotham. As the new footage played, revealing the unsettling scene of Waylon's sudden aggression towards a doctor, Y/n's breath caught in her throat. The brutality of the scene sent a shiver down her spine, her eyes widening in shock and disbelief.
“You understand why I was worried now?” Jonathan's voice was soft, yet held authority.
Y/n nodded slowly, her expression reflecting the shock and concern that still lingered within her. “How do we know he won’t do that to you?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly with uncertainty.
“We don’t,” Jonathan admitted. “But I’m going to have to find out how to deal with it, not you.”
A flicker of determination flashed across Y/n's features. “I could do it, you saw how he treated me,” she offered.
Jonathan sighed. “Even with my consent, Arkham would never allow it and I can’t be messing around with the cameras all the time, someone’s going to notice,” he explained with a sigh. “I'll just have to see if I can take him as a patient and work from there.”
In the quiet aftermath of their conversation, Y/n couldn't shake the sense of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach. She just hoped Jonathan would be safe.
-
Y/n's heart raced with excitement as she slipped out into the night, her footsteps echoing softly in the deserted streets. She knew she probably shouldn't have gone out alone, especially at this hour, but the thought of surprising Jonathan with freshly baked cookies was too enticing to resist.
With the fear gas canister tucked securely in her pocket, Y/n felt a newfound sense of confidence coursing through her veins. She couldn't help but feel a thrill at the thought of being out on her own, even if just for a short while.
As she made her way towards the supermarket, the cool night air brushed against her skin, sending a shiver down her spine. Despite the darkness looming around her, Y/n couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at her lips. The walk was only 10 minutes at most and she felt safe with the fear gas given to her by Jonathan.
Sure, there was always the lingering concern of encountering Batman, but Y/n pushed that thought to the back of her mind. After all, she reasoned, the chances of an innocent girl like her crossing paths with the caped crusader twice in in a life time were practically zero.
Picking up groceries from the supermarket was easy enough, and with her bags in hand, Y/n began her journey back home. As she neared the warehouses, however, a sense of unease crept over her like a shadow.
"Stupid nerves," she muttered under her breath, cursing herself for feeling frightened.
Every rustle in the darkness made her heart skip a beat, her senses on high alert for any sign of danger. "Come on, Y/n. It's not like anyone's actually here," she reassured herself, though the words did little to quell her rising anxiety.
But then, just as she was about to dismiss her fears, a voice sliced through the silence from the shadows. “I wouldn’t count on that.”
Y/n's scream echoed in the night as Batman emerged before her, his imposing figure casting a long shadow in the dim light.
"Are you kidding me?" Y/n spat out, frustrated. This wasn't her first encounter with the Dark Knight, and this time, she wasn't about to cower in fear as there was nothing to fear.
"Did I startle you?" Batman's question rang hollow in the tense air, almost sarcastically.
"Nah, I just screamed at the fucking moon," Y/n retorted, clearly irritated. All she wanted was to return home and bake her cookies.
Ignoring Batman's presence, Y/n turned on her heel and began to walk away, only for him to step out in front of her. Her heart leaped into her throat, what does he want with her?
"Do you mind?" Y/n asked, attempting to maintain her composure.
"There was footage of you at Arkham," Batman stated bluntly.
Feeling like she was under interrogation, Y/n tried to keep her cool. "How do you know who I am?" she countered.
"You went missing a couple of months ago, hard not to know you," Batman replied evenly.
"I was never missing," Y/n refuted.
"Why were you at Arkham?" Batman pressed on.
"I'm a psychology student at Gotham University. My professor takes me there for learning purposes," Y/n explained, her voice steady despite the tension.
"You're rather close to this Professor," Batman observed.
"He's a friend. I'm the only student that ever attends the office hours, so he knows me well," Y/n replied, the words carrying a hint of defensiveness. It wasn't entirely a lie.
"Some of the footage at Arkham was altered, footage of you, I assume," Batman's words sent a chill down her spine.
“Cool…and?” Y/n pretended not to care, trying to hide her nerves, but she was running out of excuses.
“I managed to uncover that footage. What were you doing in the basement?” Batman's tone was firm, demanding answers.
“I was curious,” Y/n replied vaguely, hoping to deflect his questions.
“Curious of Killer Croc?” Batman pressed, his voice laced with suspicion.
“Naturally,” Y/n answered, keeping her responses brief.
“Are you aware of how dangerous a man like Killer Croc is?” Batman's question was stern.
“Yeah, my professor drilled that message into me afterwards, but he attacks doctors, not visitors, so I thought I’d be safe, and clearly, I was.” Y/n explained, attempting to rationalize her actions to Batman.
“Why did you look for Killer Croc?” Batman's interrogation continued.
“I told you, curiosity,” Y/n repeated, her tone firm despite the rising tension.
"No one does something as dangerous as that out of curiosity," Batman's words hung heavy in the air.
Y/n's chest tightened with a mixture of frustration and anger. His statement struck a nerve.
"Well, maybe that's the problem with you," she countered sharply, her voice laced with anger. "You only see these people as enemies and dangerous. No wonder Waylon attacks the doctors, it's people like you that drill the message that Waylon’s a monster into people's heads."
With determination flashing in her eyes, Y/n pushed past Batman, her steps purposeful as she continued walking. But even in her departure, a lingering sense of conviction halted her stride. She pivoted on her heel, facing Batman once more.
"He’s no monster," she said, her voice ringing out in the stillness of the night. "He’s just like any other patient at Arkham. Everyone has a bad day now and then."
With her chin held high and her words echoing in the alley, Y/n turned away from Batman, striding off into the shadows with an air of defiance and self-assurance.
As Y/n finally arrived home, the weight of the encounter with Batman settled heavily upon her shoulders. The realization of what had transpired washed over her like a cold wave, sending a shiver down her spine.
"Great, now Batman's probably going to be keeping an eye on me," she muttered to herself, a knot of worry forming in her chest.
But she quickly pushed aside her worry, forcing herself to focus on the task at hand. With a determined sigh, she managed to bury her concerns for the time being and instead try to distract herself.
"Let's just make those cookies for Jonathan," she said aloud, mustering a faint smile in an attempt to reassure herself.
Y/n wondered whether to disclose her encounter with Batman to Jonathan. The idea of revealing such a tense exchange left her feeling hesitant, unsure of how he would react. However, she knew one thing for certain. She couldn't afford to let her guard down. Not anymore.

A/N: Holy fuck, am I glad to post part five to this fic, sorry it took so long 💚
A bit boring, this part, but I wanted to post this part and I had a loT planed for this part, but decided it would not only take too long but it would be so long for one chapter, so I broke it up into two parts.
I hope you like where this fic is headed and are excited for the next part (Whenever that might be 💀)
I wrote Batman in here with the Animated Series!Batman in mind, so if he doesn't seem like Nolan!Batman, that's why (although, I don't even know if I did it that well). But yeah, I tend to write for different characters from different universes and just hope they play out well :p
I was watching "Love is a Croc" episode (one of my favorite) while writing this, so i kinda had him in mind while writing. Still mad how he betrayed Babydoll light that 😤 but Waylon my baby, so I forgive him.
I have a lot of other requests to get through first and assignments (not month I am on break, so I'll be able to write more often)
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed :)

Chopper was going crazy, one minute his stethoscope was there and the next it was gone, he's sure he left it on his desk and yet its not there, unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened, it'll go missing and then an hour or two later it will be back exactly where he left it making him feel like he's losing his mind. Pushing open the door to the kitchen the doctor sighs his head low and shoulders slumped "Hay buddy, what's up?" Zoro asks from his place at the counter a class of sake in his hand while Sanji is cutting up veg for tonight's dinner on the other side of the counter. Chopper drags himself over to the counter and hoists himself up onto one of the stools before laying his head on the counter a wave of frustration washing over him "I can't find my Stethoscope, i know i left it on my desk but now its gone, it keeps happening, usually it shows up in an hour or two but it's been longer than that and its not there… I think i'm going crazy" Chopper lets out a sad whimper earning a pat on the back from the swordsman "I'll help you look for it" Zoro states after downing his drink on one go and standing out of his seat "I'll help too, just in case Zo gets lost along with the stethoscope" Sanji chuckles placing his knife down to grab the board of vegetable taking them into the pantry so their captain can't eat everything while he's away "The ships out at sea, there's no where to get lost" Zoro growls slamming his hand down on the counter in anger but only earns a chuckle and a cheeky grin from the cook "Oh, knowing you Zoro, you'll find a way" Sanji grins after locking up and making his way around the counter to pat the swordsman on the shoulder.
Chopper covers his mouth trying his best to hold back his laughter instantly feeling cheered up by them not only helping him but also by teasing each other. As the two bicker back and forth the doctor hops off his stool and follows the two out of the kitchen and onto the deck "I'll go ask the others, you two head off and start the search.. Chopper keep a close eye on him" The cook grins still teasing the green haired man who simply crosses his arms over his chest and grumbles insults under his breath, with a big smile Chopper nods grabbing Zoro's pant leg and starting to walk around the ship. As the search goes on more of the crew get involved in looking starting to become a little concerned at how frustrated and depressed the doctor is starting to become, he's not one to loose his stuff so to fully lose something has him starting to doubt himself "Where is it?" Chopper cry's out now back in his medical room with Zoro and Sanji both tearing the room apart trying to find one objects "It's going to be ok Chopper, we'll find it and if we don't I'll buy you a new one on the next island" The cook tries to reassure his friend, pulling the reindeer into a hug Sanji pats his back letting Chopper cry out of frustration, Zoro groans placing the bad back down and pushing it back to where it once was before running a hand through his hair getting frustrated as well, anger grows in him hating to see his crew mate cry especially Chopper, the swordsman is about to flip out cut this room apart when the door opens.
Robin steps in with a sweet smile and kind eyes getting the three to look at her, Zoro's growls louder annoyed at her happy face in a situation like this, Chopper rushes out of Sanji's arms to run over to the black haired woman wrapping his arms around her leg and crying harder while Sanji lets a small smile form in his face happily greeting the woman "Robin-Chan, i'm guessing by your beautiful smile you've found something" The cook comments stepping closer to the woman to pat Chopper on the head getting the reindeer to calm down and look up at Robin with hope "I have, I've found your stethoscope, although i think there will be a problem in getting it back" Robin giggles placing a hand over her mouth to try and muffle it, Chopper wipes his tears away and takes a step back looking up at the woman with confusion, he's happy that it's been found but why is there a problem, did it fall into the sea? is it stuck or broken? Before he can panic Zoro walks over and places a firm hand on the doctor's shoulder "What ever the problem is I'll deal with it" The swordsman grins placing his hands on the hilt of his swords hoping to cut something open "Franky's going to kill you if you damage his ship again" Sanji scowls crossing his arms over his chest, before the two can start bickering Robin lets out a laugh while shaking her head "I doubt you would hurt them Zoro.. Come on, I'll show you" Her comment makes the three freeze realizing that someone has the item and its not stuck on the ship but Sanji asked everyone on the ship if they've seen it, well expect for you and Kuina, your on bed rest and Kuina is most likely with you so no one wanted to disturb you.
The three quickly follow Robin out of the medical room, across the deck and to your room, slowly opening the door as to not disturb the scene Robin places a finger over her lips telling them to keep quiet before gesturing for them to head in. Chopper's tears of frustration are long forgotten as he slaps a hand over his mouth trying not to let out a sound of joy while looking over at the two sleeping forms on the bed, the duvet cover is wrapped around your waist as you lay on your back, a hand on your exposed large belly while your other arm is wrapped around a sleeping Kuina who's nestled into your side. The young girl has the ear tips of the stethoscope in her ears and her hand gripping the drum end tightly as it lays against your stomach, its clear the young girl has shoved your sleep shirt up in order to listen to the baby's heart beat and has fallen asleep while listening but weather your aware of it or not is unclear. Sanji's heart melts at the sight hearts form in his eyes and his body starts to sway a little out of pure joy at the cuteness in front of him, but he's also trying to control himself as to not wake either of his girls, the cook has often fallen asleep with hos head next to your stomach and his arm wrapped around your waist letting it fit snugly under your belly able to feel any and all movement the baby makes, so he understands the need to be close, but he didn't think Kuina would do this, sure the young girl is excited and loves to talk to your belly but falling asleep to her siblings heartbeat is something else.
Zoro first reaction is shock but that soon disappears as a giddy smirk forms on his face, gritting his teeth the swordsman try's not to laugh at the sight, it brings him so much joy to see his daughter so happy and invested in having a sibling but on the other hand he knows he'll have to have a word with her later, he's always made it clear that you never steal from the crew even if you give it back later, for now though he enjoys the sigh while reaching over and taking Sanji's hand. The cook quickly grabs hold of the swordsman's hand and leans into the man while fixated on his two girls, Chopper soon removes his hand from his mouth and turns to the two with a big smile on his face, now he knows where his stethoscope is he doesn't mind leaving it with Kuina, it always comes back very clean, so he knows she takes good care of it. "I'm happy to leave it with her for now" The doctor whispers up at the two who glance down giving him a quick nod before looking back at the bed, with a skip in his step Chopper heads to the door only to be stopped by Sanji's whisper "Hay Chop, can you get the camera?" Zoro lets out a light chuckle at this but doesn't complain about capturing the moment and maybe teasing his daughter over this in the future, with a quick nod and happy hum the doctor rushes off to find the camera while Sanji lays his head on the swordsman's shoulder "It's perfect" The cook whispers earning a light kiss on his forehead and squeeze of his hand "Yea, couldn't ask for anything more"

Day 9 of Whumptloktober!
"Time + Obsession"
"Southern Water Tribe....Tidal wave...no no...Tsunami.."
Her hands moved slower than her thoughts as she tried to grasp the fragmented memories and jot them down.
"Chief Ronuk." Yangchen paused as her head popped up at the name. It was unfamiliar to her. She quickly turned to a pile of scrolls and threaded her fingers through the documents.
"Ronuk...Ronuk..." He wasn't there.
This was a new person!
She turned back to her desk and quickly tried to write faster. Her slim and fragile hands were desperate to match the pace of her mind. She had to be quick.
Chief Ronuk must have been a past Avatar companion.
What did he want with her? What was he trying to say?
"City..underwater..."
This must of been a very long time ago. The South was a frozen tundra, not an oasis. Something was amiss.
Her miscellaneous scribbling drowned out the noise of a person entering the room. He crossed the space slowly, but with confident purpose. His shoes delicately shuffled the mess of papers aside as he carved a path to her.
"Something's there..." She muttered incoherently. "In the water...the ice?"
"Yang." He spoke softly, with a firm hand on her arm.
She abruptly stopped writing and turned to look up at his face like his presence broke her free of a trance.
Frozen in silence, she examined him closely as if trying to deduce if he too was a character from these tales.
Her eyes softly traced the deep lines framing his mouth, the crows feet on the ends of his kind, blues eyes. The salt and pepper hair that fell to his shoulders.
Kavik...
She knew him.
She ...loved him.
"Let us turn in for the night..." He finished, trying to be gentle with her.
"No!" She yelled and pushed him away. "I have to—Keep writing..I'm the only one who can!"
Kavik closed his eyes for a moment, pulling on the decades long reserve of patience he held for his life-long companion. Yangchen's condition only got worse with age, to the point where she now spent almost her entire day, sitting in the temple library communing with past Avatars and their companions.
They tugged on her subconscious so much, that she spent more time as a bridge for them to recount their lives, than cherishing the fleeting years of her own.
She convinced herself that it was her duty to document their legacies, as much as she could find. To preserve this knowledge for the Avatar's that will succeed her.
This desire to tell their stories consumed her. He didn't have the heart to tell her the majority of what she wrote down was illegible.
"I'm the only one who can hear them..." Yangchen replied and when she looked up at him, a part of his heart broke at the fading pigment in her irises. Like she was in a perpetual Avatar state.
They were older now...much older. There wasn't anything else their bodies could handle that was outside of a well deserved retirement. There wasn't anything else Yangchen could give to the world as she has already solidified herself as an Avatar that will influence generations to come. She didn’t need to be the keeper of time.
Yangchen was only a few years shy of 90 years old, and Kavik was the same. He was determined to hold on to her. His Avatar Yangchen, not the others that warred over her mind. He feared that if he did not continue to remind her of who she was. She'd truly be lost forever. He was the only one who could do this for her.
"Hear me Yangchen..." He cautiously took her small, slender hand and removed the quill from her fingers. He drew her up to his lips and softly kissed the skin that had thinned and wrinkled with age.
He brought the back of her hand to the middle of his forehead and pressed it there, directly to his third eye as he bowed his head to her.
She watched him do this in silent curiosity as if partly wondering why he showed such affection but also trying to remember she was the sole proprietor of his love.
There was an intuitive pull she felt towards him. An unmistakable certainty that she was safe with him.
"Come lie down with me...and I will tell you a story..."

Happy Friday! How about “Ha. Don’t think too highly of yourself. Just because I crave your company every now and then, doesn’t mean you’re my weakness. You’re not.” for Varric x Cassandra from the 'I'm weak for you' prompts?
ugh I'm obsessed with these two. this maybe wasn't exactly the prompt, but it's making me feel all the feels. a lovely little ficlet for @dadrunkwriting
Varric's head lolled forward, his chin resting against his chest despite the muscles in his shoulders screaming in agony. He was simply too tired to keep his head up, even though he would prefer to see what his captors were doing.
Their plan was the most hare-brained scheme he'd ever heard: capture the dwarf to lure his Inquisitor friend into a trap. He was touched that they thought he was important enough that Lavellan would rush in without thought just to save him; but he also wasn't in any hurry to remedy their misconception. After all, they might just kill him outright if they knew. So, he sat on the most uncomfortable chair ever made with his hands tied behind its back and imagined all the horrible things he would do to them once he had Bianca back in his grasp.
He also now knew better than to wander off alone to take a leak. Apparently, that was when people liked to sneak up on you and throw a sack over your head.
The sound of fighting outside his little room had his head snapping up. The meathead left to guard him drew a small, but wickedly sharp, knife as the door splintered open. There, her sword and shield at the ready, was Cassandra, and she was mad.
"Stop, or the dwarf gets it!" The idiot actually held the blade to Varric's neck. He felt the cold metal nick his skin, releasing a warm trickle of blood.
Cassandra's cold gaze flicked from the knife to the thug holding it. "Do you think that threat works on me?" she demanded.
"You seem awfully eager to get him back," the man leered.
"Do not mistake my duty for eagerness," she retorted as she took a step closer.
Varric hissed as the knife cut a little deeper, and she hesitated. The man laughed, low and mean. "Duty, eh? I'd say the only duty you're doing is--" But before he could finish that thought, Cassandra swiftly pulled a small knife from her belt and threw it. Suddenly, the blade at Varric's throat was gone as something heavy fell to the floor behind him.
Cassandra moved to untie him, not paying any mind to the dying man.
"Duty, huh?" he rasped, pressing a newly freed hand to his neck wound.
With surprising gentleness, she pried his hand away and peered at the cut. "It's true. My duty is to the Inquisition and its agents." She tsked and pulled a small vial from her belt, poured some of its contents onto a handkerchief, and pressed it to his neck. Immediately, he felt a sting as the cut began to heal.
"And here I was thinking you actually cared," he grunted through the pain.
Her eyes locked with his. "Whatever my personal feelings are, they cannot interfere with my duty." Maker, he was starting to hate that word. But then she reached with her free hand to stroke his cheek. "That does not mean I will sit by and let someone harm you, not if I can stop it. Understand, Varric, that I cannot allow myself to have such a weakness, no matter how much I care about you."
He grimaced. "Yeah, I got it. Thanks for saving me anyway." When he moved to pull away, she gripped his shoulders to hold him in place. Reluctantly, he met her eyes.
"I love you, Varric. Never question that. I am only trying to say... I just mean..." She sighed in frustration. "You're far better with words than I could ever hope to be."
"Just say that first part again," he murmured.
Her smile was more beautiful than anything he'd ever seen. "I love you, you meddlesome dwarf."

Regarding the ask game about fanfic, I present to you this : ⭐
Go wild with the sequence you want to rant about. Feel the glee as you type an answer to this ask.
Thanks ☆♡☆
I’m so sorry for not replying to this sooner. In fact, I’ve been musing over which sequence to write about. It’s so incredibly hard to pick just one sequence, and my mind, for some reason, keeps coming back to this glorious bastard:
Tumblr media
My first Pilgrimage fic was “Wrong Place Wrong Time”, which I had such a blast writing and am considering re-writing. I think the fic needs work and could be made so much better now I’ve got more Raymond knowledge and experience under my belt. So, ahem, the sequence.
I’m going to choose this one:
“Every woman I have bedded has given themselves to me by choice. I have never had to resort to force with any woman.”
You chuckled wryly. “So no one can resist you? Talk about arrogance. Now I can see why you haven’t got a wife.”
Raymond stepped towards you again. “And do not lie and tell me you are not finding it difficult resisting temptation. I sense it all over you. As for taking a wife, that can soon be changed.”
His gaze penetrated you, curling around you tightly, and warmth spread throughout your entire being, forcing fear away, although only for a brief few moments. The next thing you realised was Raymond’s lips against yours and his hands cupping your face. You could not deny that his kiss was hot, electric and caused something to snap in you. That instinct you had been so terrified of unleashing was finally loose. Your kiss deepened, and you could taste wine, until his lips left yours and delved down your neck and onto your chest. Words would not come as you gasped. He left a trail of red hot fire down you.
His hand cupped your breast, teasing your nipple beneath the clothing. And you heard him growl. It was primal and animal-like. The growl drew a deep groan from you, followed by a word which you could not even fathom yourself. The word had become lost in translation from your brain to your lips as the arousal took you over.
You didn’t even notice as Raymond pushed you against one of the wooden pillars. Your whole body was on fire and he continued on kissing you hungrily, his tongue gently licking against your skin, paired with the tickling of his stubble.
But your rational mind began to make itself known and you opened your eyes, looking around and realising what was happening. “Raymond, stop!” you called out. “Please…” you begged. But he continued on kissing you, lapping at your breasts like an animal. “STOP!” you demanded, shoving him away.
Raymond glared at you, his eyebrows lowered and his eyes cold. “Do not deny that you enjoyed that!” he snarled. You were both panting, and you could feel the heat burning your cheeks and chest.
Without another word you raced out of the barn, not even caring if he followed you, or worse, tried to hurt you.
**
This scene is the first true interaction between the female reader and Raymond, and the sexual tension and frustration is monumental here. I really can’t put into words how much I adored writing this story, even though it’s riddled with mistakes and needs re-writing. It was my first venture into the Pilgrimage fandom.
The reader is so aware of her attraction to Raymond, but ultimately she’s scared of letting go. She’s scared of her own feelings and also of him. Gradually he’s worn her down to this scene, but she still takes the control back. And that’s what really keeps Raymond obsessed with her. She’s different. She has respect for herself. She’s proud and honours herself.
Raymond is using all his power to get her to see there’s something between them, even though he knows she knows. She just won’t admit it. And that frustration he feels is at bursting point. It’s more frustrating having someone deny you who you know is attracted to you.
Man, I love this fic! Not for its quality, but for the sheer passion I wrote it with. I love projects like this. And I hope I can find another one.
Here, have some more Raymond.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wrong Place Wrong Time, which is ultimately a time travel romance, can be found here on AO3, or in my masterlist (pinned at the top of my blog)
Psst! One last thing. There’s also a part 2. 😉😉
As always, if you wish to be added to my fic tag list (for all fics, a particular story or a particular character), then please message me and let me know. All comments and reblogs are appreciated more than you know. And asks are always welcome!!
Happy reading, writing and thank you for making it this far!

Second Choice, Second Chance
Inuyasha X Priestess! Reader
So in this I'm exaggerating Kagome's behavior in this, I do ship Kagome with Inuyasha. Occasionally with Koga, but mostly because I find Ayame somewhat annoying personally. I could rant about it but for the Ayame fans I'm not going to, like I don't hate her but I did want to see her humbled a bit so that she'd pull back her obsessive behavior just a bit.
Tumblr media
(Y/n) sighed as she walked with the group of misfits she called friends, the 18-year-old had been a reincarnation similar to Kagome. Only (Y/n) was a healer, and rather than a well she had fallen through the floor of an old shrine high up in the mountain. The bicolor haired girl had hated her life in her era, her life having been less than ideal. With her hair being 2 colors, (H/C1) on the left and (H/C2) on the right. It often drew unwanted attention, what made it worse was her dual-colored eyes. (E/C1) on the left and (E/C2) on the right. She had always been teased by the younger generation and out casted, the older generation treated he as if she was ill or a demon. So, she had ran away at the age of 16, the dual toned girl going high into the mountains when a storm hit. She took shelter in a shrine but fell through a large hole, even if she wanted to go back through the shrine she couldn't as the one in the feudal era had been destroyed by Naraku.
She has passed through the well before to go get Kagome, and she was able to do so through the sheer power of her soul unlike Kagome who needed at least a shard of the jewel. But she usually preferred staying behind with Inuyasha and the others, she had gotten the garb of a priestess from a priestess in the village at the base of the mountain when she came stumbling down bruised and dirty from the fall and the subsequent wandering around the mountainside the shrine had been on, on day one of being there. Deciding that she wanted to try and at least blend in a little, plus the outfit was rather comfortable. She had spent a lot of time with Inuyasha as of late, he and Kagome had been fighting a lot recently and most of her anger was unreasonable in (Y/n)'s eyes. She and the half demon had grown close, both able to understand each other's pain. (Y/n) also understood how fresh his grief and heart break was, in his mind it had only been at most a few months since he was "betrayed". He had truly loved Kikyo, the pain of their fight worsened by learning the truth behind that day and Kikyo's resurrection. Kagome's pressure only making things worse for Inuyasha, it was as if the girl thought they had an unspoken relationship.
When the group finally made it to Kaede's village, she watched Kagome ride with Sango and Miroku on Kirara's back towards the well. Leaving her to walk with Inuyasha to Kaede's hut. "Hey (Y/n), come with me." Inuyasha began walking towards the woods, the girl quietly following as she figured he wanted to talk about his fight with Kagome. She always had to try and explain things to him, what made it hard was a lot of Kagome's actions could be immature and hard to rationalize to the male. So, after the attempt to explain things is made the two usually said screw it and just had a drink, it being the feudal era no one cared as she was considered plenty old enough.
So, the girl had no problem dipping into the barrel, Inuyasha didn't care one way or the other. They got to their usual spot by the river, Inuyasha moving a rock to reveal a small barrel of sake and 2 cups hidden beneath it in a hole. She could tell by the look on his face that he was in deep thought, so she remained silent and went to her place by the river. It was a large smooth rock, where she would be able to dangle her feet over the edge and her toes would barely touch the water. Not being a true priestess, she was not bound by their rules, really it was just a guise she used. Her abilities were similar to that of a priestess, so it was really the best option to keep people from questioning her.
She lowered her feet into the water, closing her eyes and listening as Inuyasha moved beside her and set the small barrel between them. "So, what did you want to talk about?" She spoke softly and dipped her small sake glass into the barrel, Inuyasha had stayed quiet as he slowly sipped down his glass. "Kagome has just been driving me crazy, I'm starting to think her looking like Kikyo may have been the only thing that truly brought me to her. I was still grieving for Kikyo, and Kagome was someone I had to be around because she broke the sacred jewel, and she could sense it... I think I only loved her out of necessity and heartache, but now that everything's over though..."
He stared deeply at the water, (Y/n) quietly listening to him as she nodded. "It's understandable, somethings aren't meant to be. I mean you two aren't even actually together, you've just done this weird crap since the beginning." She sipped her drink as Inuyasha nodded, sipping at his own before he looked at her. "You know, I don't think I've ever seen you take an interest in anyone since you joined us." Now that made her cheeks heat up, she was quick to down her drink and refill. "There was one guy, but he never once looked at me the way I did him... But he has girl troubles of his own even without me." She hadn't been lying, she had always had an interest in him but between Kikyo and Kagome she never felt there would be room for her in his heart. She knew a part of him at least cared deeply for Kagome, after all she had helped him move on from Kikyo and helped to soften his rough personality.
"I see... It must be painful loving someone who doesn't return it... At first when Kikyo was resurrected, she hated me, it tore me up cause I loved her so much. I guess that's why your smile hasn't been the same for a while... Right?" His words took her by surprise, she never realized anyone had noticed. (Y/n) hadn't been herself for a while, she hated watching Inuyasha and Kagome fight only for him to seek her out for comfort and return to Kagome the moment she was willing to let him back in. With a sigh she chugged down her drink, her cheeks now red from alcohol rather than embarrassment. "Yeah... I just... I love him a lot but... I'm not even sure if I'm really his friend or someone he uses to soothe himself when he's hurt... " Her chest tightened as her eyes welled with tears, she could feel his golden orbs locked on her form.
"Is it Koga!? Just say the word and kill that mangey flea bag!" She was shocked by his words, her small hands wiping her tears away as she shook her head. "No but it's fine, it doesn't matter I'l-" Her sentence was cut short as Inuyasha pinned her down, hands on either side of her head. His claws dug into the dirt as he stared down at her in an intense gaze, anger on his features. "Don't you dare say that! It does matter! He's hurting you and I won't let that happen! I'm not going to let anyone hurt you, you hear me!?" His reddened face was inches from hers, the temptation was so overwhelming that before she knew it her lips were attached to his. He was quick to return the kiss, he was harsh and feverish. The kiss deepening as little fingers tangled in snow white hair, when the kiss broke, they were left breathless, and the half demon rested his forehead against hers.
"I love you (Y/n), for so long I tried to learn to love Kagome, but it always felt like I was with her cause I had to be... But then you came a long and I couldn't help but to love you from the start. That's why it matters, because you matter." The girl felt her heart swell as she kissed him once more, neither noticing the schoolgirl quietly walking away from the scene.

More TRC Christmas headcanons? Absolutely.
Gansey is the type of guy to get you an experience. He’ll buy concert tickets, reservations to go spelunking, planned museum days, things like that. However, much like his physical gifts they are things he tends to like more than everyone else and he has no clue of that fact. Because everyone loves Gansey to death they’re excited to go anyways, and it’s always a blast, because he’ll find out so much useless trivia about whatever you’re doing. Art museum? Gansey just told you the artist of the painting you’re looking at was four times divorced and his third wife was a lion tamer.
I feel like Adam can draw really well, and he’ll use that + cabeswater to create the most perfect psychic drawing rendition of whatever you think is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. He draws a lot of trees for Blue, complete with vibrant leaves that almost seem to move if you squint enough… Gansey gets all swooping landscapes of Henrietta. The whole town memorialized on paper had almost brought Gansey to tears. (It immediately went to his notebook, the highest honor.) One year, he ended up having to do a self portrait for Ronan, but felt slightly awkward about it and made Chainsaw instead. Adam later gifted the self portrait after they had gotten together. Noah always got some sort of animal, and even after Noah left, Adam still drew whatever animal he thought Noah might have loved unconditionally. He keeps those tucked away though, and the others haven’t found them. They’re only for Noah, Adam would say.
Ronan is a creature of habit, he dreams things. In his eyes, that would be a waste of his talents to not just dream the gifts. He still puts a lot of thought into the gifts though. Hours are spent trying to pull out the perfect card stock paper Gansey is obsessed with. (It’s never quite the right shade of beige.) Blue’s crochet hook that could change sizes did change sizes, but as Ronan learned, the sizes didn’t fit any actual yarn. So he tries again, never admitting to having learned to crochet for that gift. The cycle repeated for all of them, hours spent for Ronan to not wrap it and shrug like he found it on the floor of Nino’s. But they know he cares.
Blue knows her strengths lay in crafting, and so that’s what she does. One year, she gifts them all the most vibrant hand-knitted cardigans and insists they wear them at least once. Gansey thinks it’s just lovely. His is a bright salmon color that clashes with everything he owns and he thinks it’s perfect. Ronan claims to have fed it to Chainsaw, but Blue once caught him using the special detergent he dreamed as to not ruin it. Ronan will never, ever, admit it’s the most comfortable piece of clothing he owns. Adam’s is actually a sensible color, a deep blue, not as fluorescent as the ones made for Gansey, Ronan, and Henry. Blue knows this way Adam will actually use it, and Adam knows Blue knows that. There’s eye contact, and subtle understanding, and that’s the end of that.
Henry is still adjusting to the odd way they do Christmas, and plays it safe with standard gifts at first. Once he figures out the routine, he gets everyone personalized playlists on CDs, annotated fiction books, matching jewelry, things like that. Just something to show that he’s there, and he knows them, and he’s so glad they know him. He also tends to slip in gag gifts, but nothing too crazy.
They leave a stocking up for Noah in Monmouth. Nobody talks about it, it’s just there, up on the mantle with the rest of them. When it’s time to take down decorations, the stocking usually stays up a little longer.
Happy holidays!

Thanks for keeping quiet about the spoilers if you've been aware of them~ it (being spoiled)had been happening for me over and over for the past month and it had been getting painful, I'd have blocked people who sent that to me at this rate. I was able to.. see it for myself in peace this time hehe
I've seen the full...spoilers (like the whole ch 162)
here's my raw thoughts on that.
I'm honestly not amused... not so surprised either though...
I do hope there's something more to this because there are things that I feel are SO left unexplored, there's a lot I don't like, but if this is all there is to it, it could be, I guess.
I still think.. Fatal is Kamiki's song. That song's vibes IS TRULY what he does feel about Ai, but in a pretty obsessive way I guess... it's not what Aqua would hold towards Ai (or others, like Ruby), that much is made clear in this chapter I feel? and?? Mephisto too?? That HAS to be his song? because it's about wanting to reach out to someone and wanting to meet that person who's already deceased, rather than drifting further apart by sacrificing for their sake. Ruby is alive, and Aqua's in this for her sake, right? And if Kamiki wants to do something about Ai, it should be about him trying to "feel her" or "get closer to her". Aqua and Kamiki's doing the opposite thing here and I feel what Kamiki's doing matches that song more.
at least, that's how I feel about it.
The rest is in the read more:
(I jotted this down as soon as I saw the chapter, in another language~)
I saw spoilers, and seriously???
How do you even "help" someone like this…
I don’t really understand this kind of thought structure or logic…
Wouldn't it be better without the movie arc? If so, I wouldn’t have been so confused either…
If it’s any comfort, I was right about Aqua’s emotions—Aqua really does live for Ruby. I wrote that in an analysis I made earlier(JUST A SINGLE DAY AGO)
(I wrote: Back to the title topic—It’s really obvious that Fatal is Kamiki’s song because,
Though Ai is someone very special and important to Aqua, I think at this point, Ruby is even more precious to him. Aqua still has people around him who are alive, and he has to live for them. Living for the dead is exhausting and hard. There’s so much for him to look forward to (which is, in a way, the essence of what Kamiki says to Aqua in chapter 161). Aqua has Ruby. Ruby is incredibly important to him. He also has Kana and Akane. He’s not at the point where he lives solely for Ai, nor should he be.
Kamiki doesn’t have people like that. Ai is his only reason. To die, to live- whatever he's doing, I feel he's in it for what he THINKS is for her sake.)
I got this part EXACTLY right, didn't I?
For Aqua, Ruby is definitely the most precious person. It’s true that the balance of his life has shifted from Ai to Ruby…
But this is kind of funny… even though it’s a pretty common trope!! I seriously already drew a scene just like this??? The context is different, but still.
In this comic!
Tumblr media
What the heck? LOL, so now I feel weird.
THOSE ARE HANDS. IT'S SKETCHY, BUT THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING FOR WHEN I DREW HIM BEING DRAGGED AWAY
I was honestly surprised. I drew this back in September 21st? LOL.
Right now, the story feels a bit disconnected,
Because it makes me feel like Ai’s video or her request… wasn’t really necessary.
If the twins’ reincarnation was really just for Ruby, then Ai was just… there to play the role of the mother? To carry Aqua and Ruby as a vessel..?;
Did it really need to be Ai’s child?
Also, does that mean Aqua’s mission was just to die in Ruby’s place?;;?
It could’ve been phrased like 'Take down Kamiki who's grown evil.' It seems like he’s really deteriorated. How does someone end up like that…
Doesn’t Kamiki need some sort of exorcism at this point? The way he talks, it’s like he’s possessed by an evil spirit.
If in this chapter, there was a scene where he says he wants to see or feel Ai and then manipulates people and kills them, I would’ve accepted it immediately, like, 'Yeah, this guy has to die here.' But there’s still nothing about what happened with Yura or if he killed anyone… there’s no clear image. It's about him saying he can’t die yet, and it’s still just about him wanting to see Ai forever. (And that phrase—doesn’t it overlap with the song IDOL, TV VER, where someone in the chorus goes:
(You're my savior)
(My true savior)
(My saving grace)
(I'm with you forever)
(By your side, forever)?
He's the guy who talks about forever when it comes to Ai, I guess?
The glitch effect and the white star turning into a black star… It really looks like he’s the black star. Or maybe a corrupted white star.
So, what’s he been doing all this time?
If he’s this wicked, why don’t they show us any evidence to back it up? Even as background material, wouldn’t that make sense? It feels like it’s not just laziness in drawing… we should be shown what he’s been up to during this time.
I guess it’s true he tried to kill Ruby oh my god…what kind of guy did Ai date.. I can't believe it. If he dies here, he won’t be able to go to the same place as Ai, but he should at least get smacked by her in hell for what he’s done. What was that even supposed to be…
The story is hard to understand because, when he looked at Ruby and his eyes lit up, why was it a white star? Does killing Ruby mean he can see Ai forever?
Honestly… I still don’t really understand the whole 'shine forever' thing, so it doesn’t emotionally resonate with me.
It feels like this isn’t everything.
Is he really just split between two personalities? What is this guy’s deal? If he’s broken this badly, when did it start? Did he deteriorate right after they broke up and then turn into this person obsessed with Ai being the most important thing in the world?
Aqua won’t die.
If Ai’s will has even the slightest meaning, Kamiki shouldn’t end here, either.
If he’s truly irredeemable, then sure, it makes sense for him to die now. But if the songs are some kind of foreshadowing in ANY way, something might have driven him to become this twisted.
I just don’t see the point of turning him into a completely senseless madman…;;
He really seems to have fallen, but shouldn’t there be more to him having become this way than just having been dumped? Being dumped can turn a "noble" soul into this mess? I don't think so.
I feel like something's gotten him to become this way but who knows? If the author wants to explore it, they will, if they want to wrap it up like this, they would..
well, for Kamiki fans, I bet this will be the LOWEST point he'll ever be (or maybe that we find more dead bodies he hid on the news and go 'wow.. so he DID that' and it'd get even worse) so on the bright side, there's only something..you'll feel you can look forward to. Ai's wish is our only hope, why IS that thrown in there? They didn't have to make her say that, so I'm still bothered because i feel that arc somehow.. is a buildup that's led us to recognize saving him is what Ai's wanted.
It's not too long ago since that was addressed, so would they really make it go to waste, I wonder. Because if this guy isn't helped, it's not just about Kamiki as a character but; it's about leaving what Ai wanted as a lost cause.
That guy has seriously gone nuts though, I'm kind of worried not for the manga's sake but for his... what made him like that?? Is it really only him that's brought that upon himself because, I feel he used to be a really kind soul? Or did I just misinterpret him all along? He doesn't seem sane now... I wonder if I'll be able to pity him or not, it'll really depend - whether if he's what he's chosen to be or was possessed/against his will that he became like this.
is it hiatus next week? I hope not, right?
I guess I can.. just sit down and watch whatever they throw at me now. The art was pretty good! I don't like the chapter! but I also feel like regardless of where the story heads (may this chapter be all there is to it or having more twists to it later), this chapter WAS something that was planned. That's why I'm not that surprised.

Alternate Instincts Ch.13
Tumblr media
Pairing: The Rogue’s Gallery (Geralt, Syverson, Mike, August Walker, Walter Marshall) x Stephanie Daniels (OFC)
WC 1484
Warnings: mentions of pregnancy, female reproductive organs, infertility, etc
Stephanie lay on the couch, Mike laying spread out on top of her, dozing quietly with his head on her chest as she drew random shapes on his back with her fingertips. She had to be careful as she scrolled through her phone that she didn't drop it on him, especially as she was limited to one hand. Her bosses name came up as the call came through and she answered it, holding it to her ear.
“Hey, Heather.” She said.
“Why did HR send me an email saying that the Pack Council notified them that you're under protective custody?” Heather asked, sounding genuinely concerned, not annoyed.
“Remember Jordan?”
“The boyfriend we were taking bets on whether he actually existed?”
“You were taking—whatever, it doesn't matter,” She said, “Well, turns out he's a Feral.” There was silence on the other end and she checked her phone to make sure the call hadn't dropped. “Heather?”
“He's a what.”
“A Feral wolf.”
“But Ferals are...what the hell did the FBI classify them as? Spree killers? Basically?”
“Yeah, turns out he's more Ted Bundy than Elliot Rodgers.” Stephanie said, “He could hide his Feral status.”
“Okay...” Heather said slowly.
“And because he can hide and blend in, Pack Council decided he was a shit tonne more dangerous than your average Feral and placed me on lock down because he's also fucking obsessed with getting me back.” She explained, “I'm also reasonably certain they're using me as bait because if he knows where I am, he's less likely to vanish.”
“Shitty, but makes sense.” Heather said, “Are you at your apartment? Want me to swing by with sushi after work?”
“I'm actually at a cabin a couple hours north.”
“With who?”
“Four Alphas and a Beta wolf.”
“What.”
“Yeah, a couple of them got me away from Jordan before shit hitteth the fan and the Council decided that I'm staying put.”
“Why them?” Heather asked, “I mean, they could talk to the police and put someone on you.”
“Well, one of them is a Council Tracker and, well, it turns out I'm their Mate.”
“The Tracker?”
“All of them.”
“What.”
“Yeah.” Stephanie said, “We have a theory on how that's even fucking possible, but it's as equally impossible to prove, so we're just kind of winging it.”
“Can I get real personal with you?”
“Shoot.”
“Four Alphas, huh?”
“And a Beta.” Mike cuddled into her and she snorted, rubbing his back.
“How sore are you?” Heather asked and Stephanie just made a sound, making her laugh. “Yeah, Alphas are like that with their Mates.”
“And I have four of the testosterone disasters keeping me occupied.” Mike snorted at that, “You're a Lesser Disaster, Mister. Sorry, I have the Beta being a baby koala right now.”
“So when should I expect to see the paperwork for maternity leave?” She made a sound, pulling a face. “What?”
“I haven't had that conversation with them yet.”
“Are they wrapping it?”
“Nope.” Stephanie said.
“Are you on birth control?”
“Nope.”
“So, I should see that paperwork in the next month or so?” Heather asked and she made another sound. “What?”
“I have to let you go and have a conversation with them.” Stephanie said and Mike picked his head up to look at her.
“Sweetcheeks?” He asked and Stephanie said her goodbyes, ending the call. “Want me to get the others?”
“Please.” She said and he very carefully got up from the couch, stretching briefly before heading off into the house, calling for them. She got off the couch as well, going over to lean by the fireplace as they filed into the room, looking at her in question.
“Doll?” Sy asked, “Mikey said you had to talk to us. Sounded important.”
“You guys may want to sit down.” She said and they did, albeit with confused expressions. “How...dead set are you guys on having kids? Specifically with me.”
“I mean, it'd be nice.” Sy admitted, “Have pups of my own with you.”
“I wouldn't mind raising a family with you, Stephanie.” Walter said.
“I mean, lots of kids, big families, kind of comes with the wolf territory, right?” She asked and they all nodded, “Here's the thing. It's not going to happen. Not with me.”
“Stephanie?” Geralt asked.
“You can't have kids.” August said, “I remember you telling me.”
“No, I can't.” She said.
“Because of your accident?” Mike asked.
“No, not because of that.” Stephanie said, “A few years back I made the decision to have my Fallopian tubes detached from my uterus. I still have a uterus, I still have ovaries, but the eggs have no way to...make the trip from Point A to Point B, basically, and your swimmers can't get to them either.” There was silence.
“Oh.” Sy said finally. “So no pups.”
“Not with me.”
“Detached or removed?” Geralt asked.
“Detached, and before you suggest it, I'm not getting it reversed.” He just nodded.
“There's in vitro.” Walter said, “Seeing as you still have your ovaries.”
“No.” She said, shaking her head, “I don't want children, I have no interest in passing on my genetics for reasons that are mine, and doing in vitro fertilization would defeat the purpose of getting it done to begin with.” Another long silence.
“Oh.” Walter said this time.
“Still not disappointed that it's me?” She asked and no one said anything, which was answer enough. “Once this is all over, you'll never have to see me again. I may be your Mate, but you'll be free to have as many babies as you want with other women. Have those big families that I won't give you. Excuse me.” She left the room after that, leaving them sitting there as she walked out the front door, hot tears running down her face. She just kept walking, moving through the trees. She knew that she shouldn't, knew that Jordan was probably waiting for an opportunity, but she didn't care. Let him have his opportunity. Her heart felt like it was being cleaved in two, the fallen and disappointed looks on their faces burned into her brain.
It was stupid. Utterly ridiculous that she should feel this way. So they didn't want her anymore. So what? She hasn't known them for very long. Yes, they gave her lots of orgasms, but great sex does not mean healthy relationships.
“It's always gonna be you.”
Apparently not.
Kids had apparently been a deal breaker for them. It was for a lot of guys, she knew, even more so for wolves it seemed.
In the almost two years she was with Jordan, they never talked about kids, and she lied to him and told him she was getting the shot as she didn't know how he would respond to the fact that she had gotten sterilized, but she had had a feeling she wouldn't have liked it.
Stopping in a clearing, she sat down against a tree, leaning her head back against the bark and taking a deep breath. The calm of the forest sank into her and she sighed with her eyes closed, breathing through the pain in her chest. It had been nice while it lasted, at least. Good memories and all that.
The sound of leaves crunching made her pick her head up and she looked over, seeing the slender black wolf approach her slowly, it's ears down and tail tucked.
"Hey, Mike." She didn't know how she knew it was him, but she did. He sat next to her, leaning against her and looking at her with pleading liquid blue eyes.
"So we talked about it." Looking up, she saw the others come into the clearing, “And while yeah, it would be nice to have pups with you,” Sy said, “It's your body, so it's your choice. You don't want kids, you don't gotta have'em, simple as that.”
“Doesn't matter what we want, love.” Walter said.
“You'd be the one carryin'em anyway.” Sy said, “Not us.” He went over to her, sitting on the other side of her against the tree. “So no pups. Eh, I'm alright with that. Had enough of diapers and spit-up growin' up to last a lifetime.”
“Babies smell anyway.” Walter said, sitting down in front of her.
“They're expensive.” Geralt said.
“And loud.” August said, “Even after they get past the crying phase, they're in the “make noise just to make noise” phase, and then the “I'm going to talk back because I think I know better than you” phase. Rather not deal with teenagers, especially if they take after you, Princess. Stubborn and difficult wouldn't begin to describe it.” She just flipped him off. “My point exactly.”
“So yeah, it don't matter.” Sy said, leaning back against the tree. “We're still with you, pups or no pups.” Mike licked at her face and she blew a raspberry at him, making him give her a doggy smile.

Character ask game: #3, #48, #49 Vincent Valentine, of course!
What first drew you to this character?
What drew me to Vincent in the first place is a bit convoluted and very silly, but also I was like 12 when the OG came out so bear with me here.
So my mom has ADHD and only discovered this in the past couple years, meaning she spent her entire life trying to accommodate a condition she didn't realize she had, and this led to some "weird" choices—one of the most notable of which was literally color-coding her children.
I have five siblings, and we were all assigned a color to make it easier to tell what belonged to who. Older sister: green. Older brother: navy blue. Younger sister: purple, which was also her first word. Younger brother: sky blue. Baby sister: turquoise, because our folks tried pink but she rejected it from like 6 months old.
My color, if you hadn't guessed, was red.
What’s your favorite physical/design feature for this character?
This is hard to answer because Vincent's design, while being very distinct, is also really...transient, I wanna say? Most of his iconic physical features are temporary, they're clothing or accessories, we don't get to see a lot of him.
I really love Vincent's hair, but I always have the most fun drawing his eyes, so we'll go with that.
What’s your favorite personality trait in this character?
I actually really love Vincent's sense of responsibility. It's gotten him into trouble (that is literally how he wound up in his current condition in the first place) but it's also the only thing that drives him forward at any point in his entire storyline. He has trouble keeping it from bleeding out into guilt, sure, but without that sense of responsibility he never would have gotten out of his coffin in the first place.
I know he gets a lot of shit for being callow and weak-willed and dramatic, people call him obsessive for what happened with Lucrecia and stupid for just kinda staying in a coffin for decades while the world burned down around him, but I think that's doing him a disservice.
Vincent put himself to rest out of the same sense of responsibility as what got him killed in the first place. His presence, as far as he's concerned, is what caused everything to go wrong. He believed that he drove Lucrecia into a relationship with Hojo by coming on too strong, he believed that Sephiroth was his child and therefore he was to blame for giving Project S its lead subject, he believed that his inability to stop them from creating a monster is why he didn't pass on after Hojo shot him—he genuinely believed that the Lifestream rejected him, that what he'd done was so horrible that even Gaia couldn't forgive him.
So when he was locked away, he stayed. If no one ever found him, he couldn't hurt anyone else. He couldn't do any more damage to the world that he's been damned to haunt for the rest of time. In hiding, Vincent was removing himself as a mitigating factor in the continued hardship of the world at large, because he already felt responsible for causing so much harm. He thought he was doing the right thing, he thought he was protecting everyone else, he thought he was keeping the few loved ones he might have left safe.
He was wrong—but if he weren't, there's no denying that it would have been the right decision.
(From the honest favorite character ask game.)
