One of the saddest things about Demon Slayers, to me, is the fact that Michikatsu and Yoriichi never reconcile. It such a jarring thing compared to the other Upper Moons, especially given the importance of Yoriichi to the story and how the twins story was still not fully resolved, in my eyes at least.

It becomes even sadder, as others bring up, that Yoriichi probably reincarnated without his twin. Did reincarnated Yoriichi ever felt he was missing something? That there was some fundamental part of himself that was just... not there?

Well, I decided to write a short on that.

Also, quick question. I keep seeing people say that, since Michikatsu was a demon, he wouldn't reincarnate. From what I see in Buddhism, heaven and hell aren't permanent. Wouldn't he just be reborn in one of the hells and eventually have his karma "burned away", and hopefully be reborn into a higher realm?

Obviously, he would be in the hells for a very, very long time, but he would eventually be reborn. Or did I miss something from the manga that says otherwise?

Mashle’s actually done; I was kind of expecting it to keep going, given how often I saw the threads on r/manga. (Tbf, I thought the final arc was going to get dragged out for all it’s worth, but idk if that’s the case here unlike BNHA coughcough)

There’s a part of me that wants to try reading it again, but the last time I did I could only make it past the first chapter and just didn’t vibe with the pacing at all. That, and I’ve heard the jokes and the constant hero worship over the MC gets old and stale fast, and those are two things I don’t think I’d be able to suffer through for very long. I might try to give it that shot but I think the most likely outcome is me just passing it up if I can’t get into it.

Tanjiro started to hear as he started to awaken. “Hey! Can you even hear me?!” A kakushi known as Goto, yelled as he started to get irritated with the boy laid on the ground. “Come on, get up! Are you going to sleep all day?!” Goto yelled once more. The burgundy haired boy jumped awake at the sound of the yells.

“I heard he was a demon slayer with a demon in tow, so I was expecting someone with more flair. Only for it to be just some ordinary-looking kid? Lame.”

“We must see that this boy is put on trial to be judged!”

“To think that he’s been protecting his siblings who has been turned into demons..What a brave and beautiful display of sibling love!!”

Tanjiro opened his mouth, preparing to speak before he felt his head being shoved into the rocks below him. “Don’t open your mouth until you’re told to do so! You are in the presence of the Hashira!”

Tanjiro opens his eyes to glance at the people who were introduced as The Hashira. “The Hashira.. What is that? Who are these people? Where am I?” Tanjiro’s mind raced with questions that were unanswered. Suddenly a lady with a butterfly hair piece started to speak. “This is the Demon Slayer headquarters. You’re here because you are to be put on trial. Before we start, why don’t you explain the crime you have been accused of-” The lady was then interrupted.

“There’s no need for a trial!”

Flame Hashira; Rengoku Kyojuro.

“Protecting not one, but two demons is a clear violation! We can deal with this on our own! We should end all three of them!” Rengoku stated in a loud tone, before another voice was heard.

“In that case, I’ll decapitate them with style!”

Sound Hashira; Uzui Tengen

“I’ll show you the most dramatic spray of blood you have ever seen!” Uzui stated before another voice was heard.

“No way! You’d really kill such an adorable child!”

Love Hashira; Kanroji Mitsuri

“Such a thought fills my heart with sorrow..” Mitsuri stated with a sad tone, before another voice was heard.

“Alas to see such a pitiful creature as this..”

Stone Hashira; Himejima Gyomei

“I grieve for him. Perhaps it would have been better if he hadn’t been born at all.” Gyomei stated as tears ran down his face, before another voice was heard.

“What was the shape of that cloud again?..”

Mist Hashira; Tokio Muichiro

“What was it called?.. I can’t remember.” Muichiro stated in a low tone while gazing up at the sky.

Tanjiro started to look around trying to spot the box which held his younger and older siblings. Goto noticed this and started to question him. “What are you looking at? Your focus should be on them. They’re the highest ranking swordsmen in the corps.” Tanjiro stared at the 6 people standing before him, before starting to look around again. “Nezuko! Y/N! Where did you take them?” Tanjiro asked out loud, sitting up from his position. He started to call out for his friends as well, before a voice from above was heard.

“Nevermind the boy, what will we do with Tomioka?”

Serpent Hashira; Obanai Iguro

“From what Kocho stated earlier, he is just as guilty for breaking the corps rules. Seeing him without restraints makes me feel ill. What do you have to say for yourself, Tomioka?” Obanai asked while pointed his finger at someone. He was met with silence.

“…”

Water Hashira; Tomioka Giyuu

As Giyuu stayed silent, another voice spoke up for him.

“I think it’s fine, he did come here without any resistance.”

Insect Hashira; Kocho Shinobu

“Let’s come up with a penalty later!” Shinobu stated cheerfully. “What I’m more interested in, is this boys story. He’s been traveling with demons, even as a demon slayer.. I want to hear why. What he did was unquestionably against corps rules!” She kept her gaze on Tanjiro, who then looked at her. Tanjiro let out a gasp of shock, not knowing this information. “Why are you traveling with demons despite being a demon slayer, Tanjiro Kamado? You can take your time, just answer the question.” Shinobu had asked in a confused tone, waiting for the boy to answer.

Tanjiro started to answer the question, only to realize he couldn’t due to the pain from his throat. Shinobu kneeled down in front of him a gourd of water, holding it out to him. “It looks like you need some water.” Tanjiro looked at it before grabbing it with his teeth and drinking it. “It seems you have injured your jaw so please be careful! I added an anesthetic to help with the pain.” Shinobu stated as he gulped down the water. Tanjiro finished the water in a few seconds, feeling some relief. Shinbou spoke up again, “Are you ready to tell us your story now?”

Y/N’s POV — Location: In The Box

As I woke up, I could hear some lady shouting at the person carrying the box Nezuko and I were in.

“Please Master Shinazugawa! I must ask you to put down that box!”

So his name is Shinazugawa?.. Pretty name.. I wonder where Tanjiro is..

I glanced at my younger sister, who was still asleep.

Nezuko.. You’re okay.. You had me worried when we were fighting that Lower Moon.. He was such a poor soul.. I hope he was able to meet his family in the afterlife.

I started to zone out, thinking back to the fight that occurred a while ago. I guess I got too distracted by my thoughts because the next thing I knew, I felt a sharp pain through my shoulder. I couldn’t help but let out a large muffled yelp from the sudden pain.

Glancing down, I noticed a green and black colored sword going through Nezuko’s and I’s shoulder. I looked at her with a worried expression basically asking, “are you alright?” She nodded a little bit, still wincing from the pain.

“Anyone who harms my siblings answers to me! I don’t give a fuck if you’re a hashira or not!”

Oh there you are Tanjiro.. I’m so glad you’re okay.

“Oh how very nice for you!” A deep voice says with a chuckle. The sword was then ripped out of the box completely. I let out a gasp as blood started to drip down my arm and chest, slowly regenerating.

“Cease this! The master will be arriving shortly!” Another voice shouted.

There was a loud sound before I could feel the box hitting the floor, accidentally hitting my head on the side of the box. I could hear a commotion from outside the box, consisting of multiple gasps and sweet sound of a giggle followed by a “pardon me.”

“If you can’t tell the difference between good demons and bad ones, then you shouldn’t be a hashira!” I heard Tanjiro yell from the box.

Tanjiro… I let out a smile. You’re still protecting us no matter what… You’re the best younger brother anyone could have.

“You little..I’ll destroy you!” The same deep voice that was holding the box earlier was heard. Before anything else could happen, a unfamiliar feminine voice spoke up, “The master of the mansion has returned.”

Master of the mansion? Where are we right now?..

A gentle, warming voice then spoke, “My beloved children, I thank you for coming here this day.” I could hear different pairs of feet walking, then the same voice spoke again, “Good morning to you all, the weather is strikingly nice today. Perhaps with a blue sky?”

His voice puts me at ease.. It’s so gentle and comforting.. I wonder who that is

“Finding ourselves here at the semiannual gathering with all the same faces, It brings me joy.” He spoke before the box was hit again. I then heard Shinazugawa speak up, “I’m pleased as well to see you in good health as well, master.”

I’m so sleepy.. Why am I so tired? It shouldn’t hurt to take a small nap… My thoughts faded as I started to doze off, falling into a dream.

Y/N’s POV — Location: In the Dream

I opened my eyes and looked around, noticing it was nothing but a black void. A voice spoke up behind me, “Y/N dear..”

I turned around to see a lady. A lady with black hair and purple eyes. My mother.

“Mother…” I let out in a soft tone. She smiled at me, holding her arms open. I knew what this meant. I would always give her hugs.

I then walked right into her arms, starting to tear up. Why wasn’t i the one who died?.. why couldn’t you be the one who lived?… She wrapped her arms around me, feeling the same as it used to. Warm. Comforting.

“My son, I am so proud of you. You protected your siblings.” She stated as she started to run her fingers through my (h/c) hair. “Please keep making me proud and continue to protect them..” I let of a nod against her shoulder.

“I promise I will.”

Y/N’S POV — Location: In the Box

I woke up from my dream immediately from the scent of blood.

Was someone hurt?

I open my eyes to see crimson blood dripping into the cracks of the box. I look over at Nezuko to see her starting to drool through her muzzle.

“Nezuko.. calm down.” I let out in soft whisper, hoping to calm her hunger.

“Hey demons! It’s time for your dinner!” I heard Shinazugawa shout from outside the box. Nezuko started to claw at the box and let out growls of hunger. “Don’t hold back. Show us your true colors.” Shinazugawa spoke again.

Another voice spoke up, this one unfamiliar. “It’s the daytime, no good doing this now. It will only show up in the shadows.”

I don’t like where this is going..

“Master, Please forgive me for the discourtesy I’m about to commit.” Shinazugawa spoke from the same spot. I could feel the box get lifted and slammed onto the ground once again. The same sword from earlier stabbed into the box again, going through the shoulder of Nezuko then out again.

I’m starting to get irritated.. He keeps injuring her… I look at Nezuko worried.

“Stop it!” I heard Tanjiro yell.

Suddenly, the door of the box was opened from the outside. Nezuko started to stand up, growing to her full size.

This is such a pain..

I look up from the box at who I assumed was Shinazugawa. White Hair. Violet Eyes. Scars Everywhere. I took in his appearance, not affected by his blood in the slightest.

I don’t have the desire to drink blood..but Nezuko can’t help it.. You got this, honey.

I heard Tanjiro yell out our younger sisters name. I look at Nezuko to see her stop struggling but had a lost look on her face. She stood there for a few seconds before turning away with a look of digust.

The comforting voice from earlier spoke up again, “Tell me what happened.” The unfamiliar feminine voice then explained.

“There it is, undeniable proof Nezuko won’t attack a human.” The soft voice explained to the other voices I heard prior to falling asleep I assume.

Nezuko looked down at me and I just let out a closed eyed smile at her. Then Shinazugawa spoke up, “What about you?! Huh?! You know you want it!” I look up at him to see him glaring down at me.

I guess it’s my turn.. I stood up, growing to my full size.

3rd Person POV

The other Hashiras shifted their focus to the other demon that started to come out of the box, taking in its appearance in shock. It was a male with (h/l) (h/c) hair tied up, (e/c) with slitted pupils, and he was dressed up in a black kimono. He was the definition of pretty. They noticed something different though, there was a gentle look in his eyes.

The (h/c) male looked at Shinazugawa, before reaching for his bamboo muzzle. The other hashiras reached for their swords just in case. They watched as the demon took the muzzle out of his mouth, letting it rest around his neck.

“Are you alright?.. You’re bleeding.” The males voice came out soft. Shinazugawa stared at the male in confusion and shock at the question. He then let out a growl of anger, “Why are you asking me that?! Why aren’t you affected by my blood?!” Y/N just simply smiled at him slightly before reaching into his kimono, pulling out a roll of gauze. “You shouldn’t injure yourself.” Y/N stated as he gently took the white haired males arm, starting to wrap the gauze around the open wound. Shinazugawa was too shocked to speak or move away from the male.

Y/N finished wrapping the olders arm, then he turned towards the others. The first thing he noticed was a man dressed in striped clothing was pinning down his younger brother to the floor with his elbow.

“Excuse me, the man with the snake.. Would you mind letting my brother go please? Neither Nezuko or I are not going to attack any of you.” Y/N asked in a soft tone to the other male.

Obanai scoffed and replied in a harsh tone, “No way, I’m not taking orders from a de-” He was interrupted by the tall male inside the house, known as Kagaya Ubuyashiki. “Obanai.. Please release the boy.” Obanai stared, wide eyed at his master but followed the orders given.

Y/N looked at the Master, noticing the sickness that was on his face. No matter, he still thought the male in front of him was gorgeous.

“Do tell me what happened with the other demon..” Kagaya spoke curiously. One of his daughters spoke up from next to her father, “The male demon smiled at Shinazugawa before wrapping his wounds for him, the blood seemingly not affecting him at all.”

“Well my children.. That proves that Y/N nor Nezuko will not harm humans.” Kagaya let out a soft smile towards his Hashiras. “I hope this will be accepted by all that these two demons will stay and work for the Demon Slayer corps. Tanjiro go out and defeat a Twelve Kizuki, do that and you’ll be accepted by all.”

Tanjiro sat up, looking at the master. “Alright! Me and my siblings will defeat Muzan Kibutsuji!” Y/N covered his face in embarrassment at his younger brothers bold claim, knowing well that they barely survived their last fight. “Let’s start with defeating a twelve kizuki first.” Kagaya said towards the boy with a slight chuckle.

The other hashiras let out some giggles as Tanjiro bows his head in embarrassment. “We have concluded our business with you, Tanjiro.” Kagaya stated. Shinobu then requested that the three siblings would stay at her estate, Kagaya agreeing.

Y/N walked over to the shared box, shrinking to fit in with his sister. Climbing in the box, Y/N shut the door behind him. The kakushi lifted the box, carrying it away towards The Butterfly Mansion, not before apologizing to the master for the intrusion.

Y/N held his sister close as he fell asleep with one thought in his mind.

“Everything will be okay, your big brother is here.”

I'm still sick unfortunately, but thankfully my migraine is gone so I decided that I should still write the asks that have been sent in. 🌹 I don't see Riddle as the collecting type, so he probably doesn't get the point of having a collection in the first place. He'd just see it as useless clutter or even a bunch of random trash that you keep in your room. It doesn't matter what you collect, he just doesn't get it.

🌹 Now, while Mr. Rosehearts thinks you're hoarding trash like some sort of giant bipedal raccoon, he won't stop you but won't encourage you either. He loves you so he'll let you explore your interests at your own pace... even if he thinks it's weird. If collecting various items makes you happy, Riddle won't stop you, he loves seeing you smile.

🌹 Let's say, in Riddle's part, that you collect standard playing cards of various themes. Ex. Solitaire cards with varying seasonal and holiday designs. Riddle would most likely ask you why you need so many different packages of cards and would likely try to convince you to use them once and a while since playing cards are to be played with. But if you say no he would drop it.

🌹 If you gift him something from your collection, he wouldn't get it but would accept it anyway because it's a gift from you. Riddle would probably put it on a shelf in his room or pin it to his wall, whatever it is. He'll grab it down and just examine it when he misses you.

🦁 Leona is another person who I don't see as the collecting type, but if he did have a collection I think it would be a collection of different types of pillows. He keeps his collection on his bed and the surrounding floor because there are so many. So, Leona certainly doesn't mind nor care really if you have a collection of items.

🦁 That's not to say that our lion boy doesn't get annoyed when your attention is focused on your collection rather than him. Even if you and Leona were just cuddling and you turn to your collection, you've successfully pissed him off. Good luck getting him to let you go the next time you lay down for a nap with him. He won't. You're stuck now.

🦁 For Mr. Kingscholar's part, let's say you collect little carved wooden figures. Ex. Animals, plants, monuments, etc. Leona found out about your collection before you told him actually. He was getting comfortable on your bed, ready to lay down for another nap when he felt something hard poking him in the side. And lo and behold, it was a little carved wooden lion no bigger than a chess piece.

🦁 Leona will take whatever you give him not without complaint though, but if you try and take it back he won't give it to you. He most likely makes Ruggie turn whatever you give him into a necklace or a keychain saying that he can carry it with him at all times. On days when he can't see you, Leona will stare at the item you gave him and trace its edges and crevices with a smile on his face.

🐙 Azul is an avid collector himself. He most notably collected contracts before his overblot, but he also likes to collect little fossils that he finds on beaches and embankments. Azul is certainly interested in the fact that you have a collection and would love to share his collection with you.

🐙 I'll say it point blank, Azul has 100% definitely tried to suggest selling numerous items in your collection. But he tones it down when you assure him that they're not for sale. He'll bring it up in passing every once in a while though, he's still not giving up. Azul will stop if you tell him to, though.

🐙 For octopus wifey you'll be collecting rocks of all kinds. Ex. Smooth and shiny pebbles to small chunks of gemstones. Azul will also contribute to your collection by gifting you various types of pearls of small pieces of dead coral. He even got you a special box to keep your collection in, isn't he so sweet?

🐙 When you give Azul something from your collection he'll shyly accept it and mutter a cute and quiet little thank you. He'll put it on his desk in his private office in the Monstrou Lounge; he makes sure to slip it into a drawer whenever Floyd comes in though. Whenever Azul is very busy at the lounge and can't see you, he'll glance at it every so often between signing papers.

🪞 Oh, Vil collects things as well. Jewelry is the item of choice in his case; from antique brooches to new-age hairpins. He doesn't mind that you collect things, but he will be a bit snooty about which items are deemed worthy of being collected. Vil will absolutely eye your collection with disdain if it's something he doesn't like, but he won't say anything.

🪞 Vil finds collecting to be a respectable hobby that any fair gentleman should have, so he certainly supports you. He actually discovered your hobby when he barged in came to your dorm to see you and saw your collection littering the vanity he ordered for you. This kind of annoyed Vil, but he let it go when he saw how happy you were.

🪞 In Mr. Schoenheit's case, I believe a collection of feathers fits the best. Ex. Pheasant feathers, eagle feathers, peacock feathers, etc. Vil doesn't mind your collection but he does think it's a bit unsanitary that you'd pick something up off the ground and keep it, especially something like a feather.

🪞 Vil will accept gifts from you all the time, but sometimes he accepts them and just puts out of sight if he doesn't like it. If you give him an item from your collection, he'll likely pin it to the side of his full length/vanity mirror or sit it on the desk of his vanity. Whenever he's too busy with his acting and modeling career to see you, Vil will take a few glances at it while he's putting on his makeup.

🪲 Kalim has a collection too! He collects anything that catches his interest at the time, so his collection is compiled of all sorts of different things. He is overwhelmingly supportive of you and your collection. Kalim would love to share his collection with you!

🪲 Please! Please, please, please show Kalim your collection, he'll show you his as well, it'll be a nice little bonding experience between the two of you. He'll often give you all sorts of random things he comes across and ask if you'd add it to your collection or make a whole new collection based around it.

🪲 For our adorable sunshine boy, we'll make your collection one of coins. Ex. Coins from different countries, coins that are no longer produced, pressed coins, etc. Kalim finds them all so interesting and always asks about the history surrounding them. He's definitely given you coins from the scorching sands so you can add them to your collection.

🪲 If you give Kalim something from your collection, he's absolutely ecstatic! He probably keeps whatever item you decide to give him in his pocket at all times. When he can't see you, Kalim will reach into his pocket and run his fingers along the item to feel its texture.

💀 Idia obviously has a large collection of his own. He collects anime and video game figures; he even has an entire room in the Ignihyde dorm dedicated to it. Idia's glad you collect things as well, it makes him feel like less of an outcast.

💀 Do you want to see his collection too? Idia is very enthusiastic about sharing his collection with you, which is a lot for him to trust you with, so please say you like it or he might cry. He most likely won't try and contribute anything to your collection or really compliment it all that much, he's far too shy.

💀 In Idia's case I think collecting ornate keys would fit perfectly. Sometimes, when he comes to your room, he'll be distracted by all the different keys that you had and shyly ask you where you found all of them. Idia won't ask all that often, but he tries to do it more since he likes the way you smile when you talk about your interests.

💀 Idia gets so jittery when you gift him things, he thinks he's undeserving so he always ends up with teary eyes. He'll probably keep whatever item you give him in the top drawer of his dresser. Sometimes, when he's too shy to leave his room, Idia will dig through his drawer and clutch it in his hand, running his thumb over it.

🐲 Malleus isn't one to collect things, but he's certainly up to observe them. He needs nothing more than the gargoyles perched atop Night Raven College. He doesn't mind letting you indulge in your silly little human pastime.

🐲 Humans are so strange, Malleus doesn't think he'll ever understand them, but Lilia has a collection of human games so he supposes he can't complain. Do show him your collection, he would absolutely love to learn about his dear Child of Man's interests. Out of everything involving your collection, your smile has to be Malleus's favorite part.

🐲 In Mr. Draconia's case, I think a collection of dried & pressed plants would suit you best. While he definitely doesn't get why you would go out of the way to press and dry plants when they're right outside, he kind of likes it. Often, Malleus will have plants from the Valley of Thorns brought to him so he can gift them to you.

I love (not) how kny's 3 most popular ships involve the men being very jealous and possessive of their love interests to a concerning level.

Yushiro, Zenitsu, and Obanai are so questionable. On one side we have this demon dude who'd probably murder you for doing the most normal actions anyone would do when having a conversation with someone else. Like— please calm down and stop smacking Tanjirō just because he looked at her wrong or something.

And then we got the 16-year-old teenager whose first reaction to seeing "the love of his life" for the first time is to MURDER HER BROTHER and scream the whole night, and throw tantrums about his feet hurting whenever his crush interacts with his own best friend.

We also have Iguro "I don't deserve to be with Mitsuri because I have dirty blood" Obanai threatening Tanjirō for having a good relationship with his crush.

Idc if these were supposed to be 'funny'. It's not (imo). It's just mad weird. It's great that some of them had character development towards the end, though Zenitsu's is kinda ambiguous. I reckon he didn't really change all that much, but who knows.

Do you think Ubuyashiki is well liked by the fandom without people realizing how he literally employed children into battles making use of their trauma?

Hmm, interesting question because I feel like if I say yes I’m basically inferring that the entirety of the kny and/or kagaya Stan’s are stupid people, which is not a fair or valid generalization to make.

But, I do not often see people critiquing Kagaya, so I feel like it may be due to something along the “not realizing” lines.

Because at the end of the day? Kagaya isn’t really better than Muzan. He and Muzan are not parallels, they are mirrors. On one side of the mirror, you see a leader rule with fear, on the other side of the mirror, you see the leader rule with… grace, let’s put it like that.

And when you really look into Muzan’s character, he doesn’t plainly state that he wants to turn everyone to demons, or to rule the world. I’m sure it’s in the back of his mind, but it’s not something he establishes as what he wants, what he Does establish is wanting the blue spider Lilly to walk into the sun again. To be this perfect, healthy, ultimate lifeform.

And similarly enough? Kagaya is not saying he wants to rid the world of demons like other characters, he’s not saying hes wanting to save the world, he is not saying he wants to purge the world of demons for the greater good.

He wants to break the curse on his family, for himself.

And I don’t blame him for it! I would too! But Kagaya is seen as giving runaways a home, as giving orphans somewhere warm to be. Giving the lost a path. And he really, and truthfully does not do that. Sure, for Gyomei he does. But everyone else is brought in through another corps member that is not Kagaya.

So I don’t really understand why he’s regarded so highly by the hashira (excluding Gyomei and the Rengoku family as generational hashira) because he truthfully does not do anything of value.

Which, interestingly enough, Tanjirou himself states that he feels like he’s been placed under a magical spell in his presence. Which leads me to think he had some very thin remaining demon blood, but that’s besides the point.

The point is Muzan & Kagaya are self serving, everything they want is “my, me, mine.”

Muzan makes this known in a much more crude way, while Kagaya is playing this valiant front. He more than likely knows the system he has in place is flawed, that it is critically endangering the strength of the core, but he’s driven by desperation and hatred deep down inside. Which clouds his judgment or, makes him not care as deeply as he should.

There are multiple different ways which would more than likely have a higher success rate at not only strengthening and doubling their members, but decreasing the amount of dead children at his doorstep. (And I’d be happy to ramble about this in a different ask because I love world building.)

He could have placed demon slayers around the Tokitou residence to ensure their safety as Amane tried to coax them away and to the warrior life.

But he doesn’t and he didn’t, perfectly breaking Muichirou and molding him to be this lifeless puppet who is fueled by rage when he can remember and then taking the children who survive final selection who’s trauma is now doubled and worsened, making them reckless and drastic in battle, with only the rare few surviving long enough to either become experienced or a hashira.

But, the thing is, Kagaya sympathizes with them.

“I’ve been hurt by demons too, I’ve lost my loved ones to demon too, I hate demons too, I want demons gone too.”

Which turns into: “give your life for the cause, save those you couldn’t save before, fight for it all to be ended, fight for me.”

And the process repeats with Kagaya showing characters a molecule of sympathy and kindness and feeding into their trauma fueled ambition.

Tldr: I think it’s very easy to fall under this assumption that Kagaya is a good character because that’s the point, he’s supposed to be written in a way that makes you sympathize with him, to make you understand his want’s and needs, especially as he deteriorates in health. But again, that is the point because that’s exactly hah the hashira + corps member also believe.

But also, sometimes people just like morally gray characters, and that’s okay too! I personally am a big fan of morally gray characters. And I think Kagaya is an excellent example of that, because he can fool you too.

• Okay. Lucifer, King of light. This is probably the worst yandere in aoex you could get (apart from Mephisto but that’s for another time.)

• Possessive, Overprotective, delusional and manipulative TO THE MAX. Lucifer’s a narcissistic monster so you can see how this goes.

• Possessive in the way he just won’t let you go. He views you as his and nothing more. There’s no debating him on this, You have no voice.

• Overprotective in the way that he does not let any harm come to you. Health check-ups every day, Padded room you’re locked in with no sharp edges. That kind of thing

• Delusional in the way he believes the two of you are somehow bound by fate. He may be scarily intelligent but that does not make him sane in the least.

• And manipulative in the way.. Well, Come on. He’s a glorified cult leader. Lucifer controls every aspect of your life from your clothes to your schedule. All so he can display the image he wants you to see.

• I’m going to go with a Romantic route on this one. I’ll do platonic later if anyone wants it.

• Lucifer at first is shocked. Demon’s don’t feel emotions, Not the way humans do anyways. But his heart beats when he sees you. He’s confused at first, Believing it to be an ailment or illness

• However after a while he comes to terms with it, A shocking realisation. One that amazes him deeply.

• Even though love is a laughable matter for demons, Lucifer doesn’t deny it. He believes that you’re an exception and no matter what his siblings or Homare says, It wont deter him

• Being the egoist he is, He believes you must feel the same way. No matter how much you fight or argue he knows you’re just playing hard to get.

• How it started I can see it happen two ways. One, You’re a recruit in the Illuminati and you somehow catch his eye. Number two, You’re a member of the True Cross Order and you catch his attention.

• If you’re in the Illuminati then that just makes it easier for him. Lucifer is the commander in chief and their idolized leader. You and your colleagues practically worship him. (Rose tinted glasses)

• So it’s a breeze for him to get close to you. Suddenly your assigned as his personal guard or caretaker, Suddenly he requests more time off the clock with you.

• You see it as a blessing, The commander in chief wants more time with you. And from there on there really is no escape

• In the second scenario he might of seen you while spying on the order or when he was declaring war. I’m imagining him announcing his speech before his eyes lock on you from behind the mask, He pauses mid sentence to just stare before Homare coughs and breaks him out of his trance.

• He continues on but his eyes keep lingering back to you. It makes you feel uncomfortable more than you already were, This organisation was declaring war on the order and their creepy leader kept eyeing you up and down.

• I feel like Mephisto would catch on, He’d probably deduce it easily but for the sake of plot he wont here.

• When they leave, Lucifer can’t help but drift his mind off to you. He hated human beings, He envied them for their healthy bodies that they wasted doing nothing while he rots.

• And due to that and the fact that he is bedridden most of the time makes it very hard for him to do anything. Instead he relies on Shima to tell him things about you.

• You’re a teaching assistant at the academy, A middle-class exorcist with the meister of doctor and knight. The more he learned the more he felt his heart beat.

• If you have any other romantic partners or interests (even just friendships) he starts to feel another emotion. It’s not a good one, It makes him disgusted.

• Even though what he feels for you is intense and overwhelming, He will not show it at all. Cold and mechanical

• Lucifer wants to get you away from them. He doesn’t like people touching what’s his.

• After confirming this feeling isn’t illness, He has his mind set dead on you.

• Lucifer believes that you must feel the same way. This is love, Something he had never experienced before so he knows it must be mutual right?

• He has Shima gather items from you. Photo’s, Clothing and trinkets. He has them surrounding his bed.

• So when you come along with the exwires to rescue Izumo and he views you on the camera’s his heart skips a beat.

• Lucifer orders the entire staff not to lay a hand on you. If they do then they will suffer by his hand and he MEANS this.

• So when you and the exwires are separated and shoved into different rooms, There was no demon to fight you.

• You were confused. It was just a padded cell. All until a ray of light manifested on the other side of the room

• You bared your weapon. Lucifer appeared in a fresh clone body and full uniform, Wanting to look his best for finally meeting you.

• Of course you ready your weapon but its instantly dismantled by a blinding flash, Making you drop it to the ground.

• Lucifer approaches you and takes no time to proclaim his infatuation and love for you. He says it outright because of well.. He’s convinced that you feel the exact same way about him even though you only met once on really bad terms.

• Lucifer expects you to run into his arms or confess your love back. But to his shock and dismay you only scream obscenities at him, Which is a weird way of showing your love but go off I guess.

• Or not. Lucifer doesn’t like you saying that stuff. Even though he knows you don’t mean it he still takes great offense.

• Lucifer straight up offers you to join the illuminati. A pretty high position (And conveniently works close to him)  Tells you about his ideals. His goal of making a paradise, Reviving Satan and making an equal world

• You’re rightfully disgusted. You say no again and curse him out. No way are you joining some glorified cult.

• He sighs, A tad irritated as he steps closer to you. You cant do anything but back away into a corner looking terrified.

• He approaches. The distance closes and he casts a dark shadow, His eyes glowing as he looks at you.

• You’re frozen in fear as he reaches a hand out to cup your cheek. His hands are dead cold.

• “I understand your fear, But sleep well now and you’ll awaken safely in due time.” 

• He says that to you and he places a single kiss onto your lips. His are freezing similar to that of a corpses.

• You black out afterwards, Lucifer catches you in his arms as he carries you away.

• After that its the “domestic stage”

• You sleep in a room in the Dominus Liminus. It’s both warded and protected to the nines.

• You wont speak much to anyone. A few staff here or there but Homare is the one tasked with keeping you secure and safe.

• Wherever you go (If you’re allowed out) Homare will be close behind. It wont even be hidden, Saying with a cold face that she is to escort you around the place and assist you.

• But you know it’s just Lucifer keeping an eye on you.

• As soon as your on board you instantly gain the title of ‘The Commander’s Fiancée’

• Its disturbing until you find out why. Once you meet him again he explains that your days are now leading up to your marriage with him.

• He could marry you right now. But Lucifer wants to have a ceremony, An official wedding that will involve a demonic binding to him.

• You curse him out again and try to attack him in his bed. But the Lundström pull you back escort you to your cell. Lucifer calling out your praises as you go.

• You’re fed the highest class food. It doesn’t matter what you prefer since Lucifer claims “You deserve the best”

• You also get a lot of gifts like clothing and furniture. Nothing dangerous or sharp though, Cant let you getting hurt.

• If you get close to anyone but him or maybe Homare he will not hesitate. He’s jealous and will order their death, Sometimes he’ll do it himself depending on the situation.

• Health check-ups daily. Human beings are fragile and if you died he doesn’t think he could go on without the one thing that numbs his pain. 

• Unfortunately enough you’re being taken care of by a greasy little doctor Geodinn. Of whom sucks up to you even though you can tell its an act

• If you do manage to escape he will go on a rampage. It’ll be the blue night pt2. He doesn’t care who he kills or what he destroys, Only calmed when your back with him.

• Besides. His siblings as well as all their lower class demons would be on high alert, Its impossible.

• He’s always in bedrest and it annoys him. He can’t spend as much time as he wants to with you and his rotting body wont let him.

• Sometimes when he misses you too much he’ll get Homare to drag you in and lie with him. He likes holding you to your displeasure, Its the only thing that takes away his constant pain

• When his body is new however he makes it count.

• He takes you out on little trips in preparation for your wedding.

• Him, Homare and a group of his most trusted men take you dress shopping. They make you try on a shit ton until Lucifer and you find the perfect one. You both must be in agreement.

• You try to escape but you are instantly caught by Homare and co. Who drag you back to a disappointed and confused Lucifer.

• He still doesn’t understand why you’d want to leave. You’re both in love, Right?

• He takes you out to the final shop. A jewellers where he alone picks out the ring. A silver ring with a diamond centrepiece (Also one that he made a demon under him possess to tell him your location at all times)

• Afterwards its basically time for your big day. His at least, Lucifer is overjoyed and excited for once in his life.

• You walk down the isle with a veil to cover your distraught and defeated face all while carrying a bouquet of white roses. It’s a massive cathedral. The entirety of the Illuminati is there along with his siblings..

• Once you reach the altar, Lucifer is standing there in his full military uniform. For once his expression doesn’t look mechanical and dead, It has life now and his eyes look at you with an organic gleam.

• Iblis, Egyn and Astaroth are standing off to the side. They’re very confused but they don’t question him.

• Iblis thinks its cute. Egyn is confused and Astaroth just got here

• Shima is near the front row and is currently on FaceTime with Mephisto, Whose hysterical and laughing to high hell at what’s happening.

• Homare is ordaining the ceremony. She says her part and then Egyn comes up with the rings as well as a contract.

• Lucifer lifts your veil. He hands you the contract with a pen and urges you to sign it.

• You have no other choice. You sign the paper while trying not to cry. The deal is done, You’re unable to leave entirely now

• He leans down and kisses you as the crowd goes wild cheering. Through the noise you can hear him say one last thing.

• “You look absolutely stunning.. Once I get a working body and once you become a demon eater.. I hope to see you like this for the rest of time..”

Have updated my fics sug TTau and The Most heroic villainess and late night I was wondering...we do see so lil villainess Izu aka Izumi as villain in fics.

And then it hits how we see so lil of villainess in canon. La Brava only wanted to help Gentle...I don't have much issue with that, she loves him and wants her man to win (it helps how the relationship is reciprocated) but she is more a sidekick. She is there only for Gentle.

Lady Nagant is there...in the middle of a war and it was forgetten until she shows up to shoot Shig and promptly was forgetten till we see her in the prison, out of her own free will. How the public would react to such villainess? Do they know she is a villain? (Yes, she killed the president but does the public even register this woman is a villain bc at some time she was their hero)

And ...makes me think of Izumi. In my fic, first off, she is a grow up...and I do feel the media would try to invalidate her points and anything by saying she is a femme fatale. She seduces and throw men(women) to the side. (Further from the truth, I feel the media would try to use this narrative)

Tldr, how the villainesses are seeing in this manga? If the good heroines are eye candies...what are villains like Nagant and La.Brava or even my version of Izumi? Femme fatales (which is ridiculously funny as La Brava only has eyes for one man, Nagant has no time for romance and Izumi never even kissed anyone)

I do remember commenting on this problem a while ago, but most major villains in mha are men, which is a shame.

Horikoshi and honestly, a lot of shonen manga's do not treat their female characters with the respect they deserve, and this is a huge problem seen with many popular shonen like MHA, naruto and even KNY.

The only female villains that I can really name are:

Curious

Toga

Lady nagant (can she even be considered a villain?)

La brava

Slice

Most of them either don't actually do villainous things, are dead, or are incredibly minor to the plot.

Now, I think we can all agree that toga himiko is the most developed one out of this list and I must admit that lady nagant and curious definitely had the potential to be amazing antagonists had they been allowed more time and more development.

In Toga himiko's situation, when she first became a villain, her personal details were kept private due to her being a minor but we know that when the public found her house they absolutely destroyed and vandalised it.

From the vandalism there is we can see things such as "toga the terrible" and " Demon" on there, so I assume that for izu in this case the backlash would be worse especially if they bring in "victims" of izu to speak on live television.

There wasn't much going on for Lady nagant's case as the hpsc wanted to keep her killing the President under wraps. They essentially did this by mentioning her as less as possible and just offering the public an explanation that she was arrested due to killing another hero in an argument which effectively ruins her entire reputation without the need for sexually degrading comments or any of that in the sort being painted directly by the HPSC however, there are probably some hero fan individuals that probably came up with theories such as lady nagant may have killed the hero for personal reasons ( something along the lines of he cheated on her etc) however that being said this idea would be something created by the public and not the hpsc themselves.

There isn't much for Lady brava, so I won't comment on her.

In the end, this idea of yours could be plausible, especially if we take the content of the short chapter that shows an interesting conversation between midnight and Mt lady where it seems like sexiness is a double edged sword in the world of mha. While this conversation itself focuses primarily on the hero industry. I believe that this could then be applied to just a general view of other areas of society.

Mt lady and midnight have always been characters shown to focus on their image, and they seem to have a fanbase that mainly appreciates them for their 'sexy' appeal. Now, this narrative can be easily twisted into calling the other an incredibly degrading comment, which we see the two women doing in the short chapter.

So , to answer your question, I think the idea is incredibly plausible especially because mha already has a theme of having the female heroes appear as "appealing" or "sexy" and has characters like momo and Kendo Market themselves as such. I imagine that this narrative can act as a double-edged sword, meaning that it can be used to directly and outright degrade the female character, especially if they are a villain.

Your excited eyes drew up to the sound of a bell ringing rhythmically from staring up at the roof in boredom. Two of your favourite customers, Obanai and Mitsuri entered as the hyper girl waved for your attention. You accidentally swiped open the back glass door of the see-through sweet treat display for customers, to stand in front of the cash register with a matching smile to Mitsuri’s and the listening gaze of Obanai

“Welcome back, you two! How may I serve you? The usual?” You ask cheerfully, playing with the protruding buttons on the cash register playfully as Mitsuri tapped her cheek in fake consideration. She knew exactly what she wanted to talk about with you as her boyfriend, Obanai held her hand. His mismatched eyes scanned over your pretty face in pure admiration, love leaked through

This situation seemed like a young couple visiting their favourite café to the general eye, including yours, but it was really two madpeople riddled in obsession satisfying their feed of the one they love so dearly by pretending to want to have one of your many sweet options. It wasn’t just Mitsuri and Obanai who were like this and came to you daily

You met the lovely couple when they came into your café for a date. You recently opened this little shop as it was your passion to run your own business, like this homely café. But your hope ran dry as the days went by with no customers, but when they came into the picture. Your life was basically saved

You served them with such excitement and relief, immediately giving them that one pretty two-seated table positioned by the open window as you eagerly took their orders. Mitsuri ordered so much, you had a long list of desserts to give her whilst Obanai ordered so little, you were a bit concerned but you bowed to them

They kept coming every single day after their first experience with you to test out every new option you had stocked in or merely to chat with you. You didn’t mind as you appreciated how supportive they are yet you didn’t know that your cooperation fed into their developing obsession over you

You always had time on your hands to talk to the two after serving them as you didn’t have many customers, other than them… well, other than them and another young couple that have visited you so much, you’ve lost count;

You’re other two favourite customers. Sanemi and Kanae. Kanao, Kanae’s younger sister once came into your cafe for a quiet hangout with her friends, and suggested it to her older sister for a way to have a peaceful day out. Kanae decided to take her boyfriend over for a quick sweet little cafe date at your shop. Unaware of your unintentional affect on them that had already infected Obanai and Mitsuri would plague them so bad that they’d become completely mad for you

Just like with Obanai and Mitsuri, the two were obsessed with you after spending weeks and weeks coming back on beliefs they were just being supportive and friendly, not wanting to realise their healthy friendship with you had grown into a love-driven obsession. The couples wanted you apart of their lovelife, as their cute little girlfriend

Sanemi and Kanae kept having wonderful times at your business that it needs to repeat for them. Such delicious food, such delicious drinks, such a pretty homely environment with a beautiful server on atop of it that caught their eyes so fast, they couldn’t believe they didn’t know of your existence until they had to pay for it. How foolish, they would have paid to see you so much sooner if they knew about you

They ordered things equally and even shared some of their orders in which you kept in mind so you can give them cute things to use like a long love heart-shaped double-headed straw for their milkshake they’d eventually share. Their reaction to your little surprise made your heart beat in joy for the couple. You simply adored such love, you wanted something exactly like those two loveable couple, when you find your soulmate

Ever since you met the four, you had noticed a lot of changes. More people came to your café and all never seemed to scold you for being late, it was like you were inside a videogame where the settings of the customers can be changed to passive. It was confusing on the most part. Your shipments for ingredients seemed to be infinite, even though, you didn’t order anything that week and you noticed that you were gaining more fatter tips from out of nowhere

Every other customer, other than your dailies, were quite stiff, shaken and robotic as they spoke. It was kinda odd, sure, you couldn’t say anything was off since your head is in the clouds when you’re not working and you break something every single day but you weren’t that dense

You figured it was your family helping you from the sidelines. You weren’t aware that it was the two couples you had befriended desperately trying to get you to like them

“Oh, please, don’t worry about that. I’ll tell you what we want. Can we get a table?” Mitsuri asked as you nodded excited like usual, rushing off your heels towards the exitway and accidentally bumping your stomach against the closed wooden pane keeping customers from entering the back of the service table, full force as you whined out in pain. Obanai and Mitsuri flinched in response, traversing around the marble countertop to make sure you are okay, extreme laces of concern consuming them

Obanai held his hand out and touched your shoulder with his girlfriend clinging onto his free arm in concern as you gently giggled, your voice leaking pain. “I’m okay. Don’t worry” You reassured them, opening the trapdoor and shutting it once you walked out, picking up your trusty notebook and passing the young couple. Still unaware of their lovestruck eyes boring through you

Your hair tied up in a neat bun with all those cute chibi animal hairpins and your bangs pushed back by pretty colourful hairclips. You looked so scrumptious as Mitsuri and Obanai almost raced each other to catch up to you, you gestured them to sit in the middle of the cafe, decorated by a glass chandelier hanging above their heads

You flipped open the notebook to a clean page with that all-so-unbreaking smile they love so dearly as the two sat down in front of each other calmly, wondering who will speak up to you first. You were about to ask for their orders when the doorbell rang for a second time, indicating that another customer has arrived to be served. You apologised outloud to Obanai and Mitsuri, promising you’ll come back to them and rushing over to serve the new customer in mind

Your eyes glowed in happiness, recovering from your near low step trip, as Kanae ran up to you excited in her pretty sparkly date dress, and swallowed you up in a tight but harm hug. Sanemi followed his girlfriend, in a somewhat-fancy tieless suit and patted back your bangs to avoid undoing the clips. His smile never dropped at the sight of your gorgeous face. The man didn’t say a word as Kanae begun speaking, her voice a bit stronger than usual and admiring your new hair accessories with little points

“Ooohhh~! You look so cute, Dokusha!” Kanae cheered happily and clapped her hands, she did feel the angry jealous glares of Obanai and Mitsuri piercing through her but she chose to ignore it in favour of spending time with you, her newfound love interest. Sanemi chimes in afterwards, looking curiously at one hairclip he didn’t recognise from the many he has kept track of. “Are these new?” You nod against his strong palm, gently patting his muscular wrist so he will let go, though, he didn’t want to let go

Mitsuri bit her bottom lip, her eyes welling up in fury as her hands balled up into fists whilst Obanai continued to silently glare deadly holes into the couple openly trying to flirt with you, he was ready to throw hands with these pricks. The only people could flirt with you is him and his girlfriend, nobody touches their future wife but them!

Obanai got up from his comfy chair when Sanemi’s hand gently brushed over your cheek, reeling a flustered rosy blush from you. His mismatched irises were so dark, they could shadow over the night sky

Mitsuri quickly followed her boyfriend close by when he walked away from their table, not wanting to interfere. She did want him to knock some sense into those pieces of shit, but she didn’t want to frighten you

“Oi. Fucktard” Obanai barked rather cruelly and out of the blue, drawing Sanemi’s attention onto him as he immediately socks the much taller man in the jaw with a hard right-cross. This made Kanae gasp out in shock and you scream in fear, stepping back as you were worried you, Kanae or Mitsuri would get attacked too

Sanemi bumped against the counter in conjunction to the few backward steps and used his arms to hold himself up by the firm ledge, processing the punch slowly. Kanae rushed to his side in a instant and hissed under her breath at her boyfriend’s dazed state. She managed to speak up, her eyes overflowing with anger over such violence as her dainty hands ran over his shoulder to try comfort him

“Excuse me! How dare you touch my boyfriend!” Mitsuri responded to Kanae’s statement for her own boyfriend, holding his shoulders protectively and her eyes switched between the enemy couple and you shivering in concern and fear up against the flat empty wall. She couldn’t stop this, she decided to join in as she knew well that her anger couldn’t be suppressed any further. “And how dare YOU two try take our Dokusha away from us!”

“She is not your Dokusha! She is the server here! It’s her job to—“ Sanemi snapped back almost instantly with his head rising in sync, his now-bruised jaw did sting from the punch but he needed to defend himself and his girlfriend from what this psycho couple were pulling against them. How dare they act like they own you when you own yourself

Obanai yelled through to produce a interruption, visible anger veins crawling over his forehead, hands and neck as Sanemi followed soon after, his own body being coated in popping veins. He was well done with the chemistry teacher’s aggressive talkbacks to his beloved girlfriend. “And Dokusha isn’t a piece of meat to be played with! Leave her alone! She isn’t yours! You have each other!”

“We aren’t playing with her! We like her! She’s quite the—” Kanae argued back, making her voice get louder and firmer with the intensity of the situation growing at a concerning rate. This was getting dangerous as Sanemi rubbed his jaw to try muffle the sharp jabs and rose back to his feet properly. This day wasn’t going as they planned with Obanai and Mitsuri throwing a bombshell into it

“She’s not even your friend. Just get away from her!” Mitsuri barked back, her and her boyfriend’s thought-out plan to order something for themselves and also you to better woo you over when they offered you to sit down and chat with them, was ruined by these two before them. Your heart was truly theirs as they are the ones who made your café known to the Kimetsu Academy. What did these two have to offer you what they haven’t already?!

Your anxiety and concern rose hearing the two women argue and shout at each other as the men went to throw punches at each other. What do you do?! What do you do?! You panic and decide on the whim to call the Police. You didn’t want to get your friends arrested but they can cause a extreme issue if you don’t have them taken care of

Speeding over to the much older-fashioned cable phone behind the marble counter, you accidentally knocked into the nearby pillar, holding a valuable and expensive decorative pot your mother had bought for you. Sadly, for your slower reaction time, the artefact landed directly on your back and shattered into pieces whilst the wooden pillar fell onto you, pushing you to the ground

The very loud thud from the back stopped the four’s fighting as they almost screamed in concern and pushed each other away to reach the source of the noise. Kanae and Mitsuri cried out in horror at the sight before them, Obanai and Sanemi shoved each other out of the way, just for their eyes to feel like they popped out of the sockets. The girls bolted to you, quickly brushing off the broken pieces on your back that, thankfully didn’t stab into you, and move the light yet suffocating pillar off

Swiping and insulting each other at every turn whilst the boys fought each other for the phone that they pulled away from the back of your counter to the front. They needed to call a ambulance to make sure you were gonna be okay but their constant roars and wet smacks for punches were distracting them. Your head was fuzzy and stung, your eyes grew blurry whilst the voices of the four begun fading away

What a horrible day

10) I am also very attached to the idea that if Doffy had been found by anyone but Trebol, and had grown to continue protecting his brother, rosi and doffy would've built one another up a lot and for the better, all this to say he is not inherently evil

11) I usually gravitate towards misunderstood characters ; it's very easy to blame doffy and say he's "always been horrible, a monster and inherently evil", he was 8 years old and went through extensive trauma, and his anger was perpetuated by trebol to the point he couldn't see anything but himself, and even if he had issues with empathy and emotions, he could've been a much better person

12) I like when characters have something quirky, and for doffy it's the way he walks and sits, honestly

13) I really like that his devil fruit power also matches his personality, he reminds me of rui in KNY, playing pretend with puppets because he's filling a certain lack

14) his name is aesthetically pleasing and satisfying when you say it out loud

15) he's the type of character who, although he has enough lore about him to understand him, I love to break down into pieces to analyze and explain even further the reasoning behind his actions, it's just something I really love to do with villains

I just read ‘Notte Stellata’ and I honestly think it’s one of the best fan fictions that I’ve ever read. It’s so brilliantly written.

I think you have a real gift when it comes to writing. You’re fantastic at plotting — you know how to pace your stories and just when to permeate them with the most thought-provoking of imagery. Your imagery, crucially, is not overwrought, but rather very well timed.

The way you characterised Kokushibo is absolutely brilliant. Your writing retains the essence of his character while building upon it, endowing him with even more depth and making him even more interesting. You made me fall in love with his character and now I will definitely look at him in a new light. He’s an extremely compelling deuteragonist.

I have to mention that I really think you’ve managed to capture the spirit of ‘Demon Slayer’ in your work. This story believably and seamlessly slots into the broader framework of ‘Demon Slayer’. Not only did you nail down Kokushibo, but also all of the other characters who made their appearance in ‘Notte Stellata’, most prominently Tengen and his wives, Kagaya, Shinobu and Douma.

I think the way in which you have crafted the dynamic between Kokushibo and his dearest is incredibly compelling. It’s deeply romantic and I wholeheartedly adore it.

I am so chuffed that you enjoyed Notte Stellata – I had the most wonderful time planning and writing it, and I'm so happy to hear that you found the imagery and my interpretation of Kokushibo compelling! He is my favourite character from KnY, and I feel that there is so much about him that we never truly learn outside of what we know. In his past life, he was a husband and a father, and I wanted to tease out that part of him and recontextualise it as a demon who had spent centuries harbouring so much darkness in his heart.

Likewise, I'm also very glad to know that you enjoyed the smaller vignettes with Tengen, his wives, Shinobu, Ubuyashiki, and Douma! It was important to me that the Reader had someone on whom she can rely, and Uzui seemed the most natural as someone who was quite extroverted but also very personable; and Shinobu as another female Hashira, albeit with a different motivation and morality.

Speaking of the Reader, I'm very pleased that her romance with Kokushibo resonated with you! To be frank, there were parts where I wondered if their relationship was a little unhealthy, but I would like to think I rooted very hard for them to figure out their own insecurities and darkness, and to overcome them together. The struggle, and the sweetness at the end of it, is what makes their relationship so rewarding, in my opinion!

And I definitely would be open to writing more in future! I actually have another KnY fic in the works, and I shan't reveal any more than what I can promise, haha. It wouldn't be as smutty as Notte Stellata, for sure and it will be a Muzan-centric one – frankly, I'm not sure if the story will gain much traction because of that, it is a story I have wanted to tell for a long time. Kokushibo will, however, occupy a very central place in my KnY heart, and from time to time I will write drabbles for him on Tumblr!

Oh my Kiya, I also love those 4 characters as well (Midoriya, Tanjiro, Yuuji, Reki). They are so precious, they deserve the world, and should not receive any hate from anyone. Oh my, how mad I am when I see several posts that said either of them don't deserve to be the mc of their own story (cause they're not your typical shounen mc).....

I love that post of yours about Yuuji and Modoriya.... Hope you don't mind, cause I copy the same question frame from that anon.

In what specific moments from KnY & Sk8, that made you sure that Tanjiro and Reki are special, that made them your favorite characters?

I'm gonna have to call these four boys something like 🍓 Squad with how they are green, red and pink colored. 😆

Honestly, all four of them is like... a fresh breath of air to me because they're different from other protagonists. That's not to say I hate other protagonists because come on, they're great, too. (Like, let's think of them as passing the torch or something.) But I sometimes I do feel like people who bash on characters like Midoriya and Itadori aren't used to characters like them and maybe, just a little are afraid to take a liking to them.

Especially since some people are assholes and tend to flip words around.

Someone can say "Oh, I think Tanjiro is a cool protagonist" and some asshole will be "so, you hate Ichigo"?

No, they did not say that. Stop being an ass and thinking you have some authority to monitor people's interests.

Anyways!

For Tanjiro and Reki, it was indeed the first episodes for me.

Tanjiro, just seeing how he cares for his family and just how good of a person he is really touched my heart. I relate to him and Reki, who I'll talk about in a second, when it comes to siblings. I, too, have younger siblings and I'm the eldest. So it was nice to see a big brother like Tanjiro actually be nice to his younger siblings. Also, how he used his nose to figure out the cat broke the plate is another "Oh, yeah, he's my favorite now" moment. That's one of my favorite skills he has. Just this master nose that smells just about anything. I love it!

Now with Reki, it had to be the moment just before Langa comes into the classroom. Reki was working on some sketches and he gleefully wanted to show his work off and then his classmates is like "Nah, probably some troublesome stuff". That moment? Oh, Reki, I relate. Do you know how much confidence I try to build up to talk about a story I have in mind? Like, the excitement there is to finally ramble about something you're passionate about? Reki wanted to so that and I never wanted to fight side characters so badly in my life. Every time I see that scene or think about it, I feel violent.

And his relationships with his sisters is nice, too. Again, relate being an elder sister myself. By the end of the anime's first season, Reki was already my number 1 favorite but oh my gosh! My favorite Reki moment had to be the epilogue scene where he's teaching the twins how to skate and Koyomi comes in showing off. It's such a wholesome moment. It's just so cute!! 😭

for your academy verse, i think it might be neat to sort of mash up chiyo's modern fantasy verses; originally, she's a witch who is killed and is then brought back as a vampire via her cousin naoki, but if it's something goro is capable of/would do, maybe he brings her back? and then she begins working at the academy as a teacher as one of the conditions of the deal he made with naoki. she's well-versed in spellcasting and has the ability of foresight, and even though she's only recently become aware of the latter, i could see that being a gift that man might be interested in! and yeah, goro's the one who'd be heavily involved at the beginning, but that opens the door to mess with ji-hun and deng, too hehe

you've mentioned that hina wouldn't be able to just allow another woman to get close or romantically involved with ren without butting in bc he's essentially all she has left in terms of family, and i'd loved to explore that tbh! the fact that ren's at the point where he's laid all his cards on the table for chiyo -- that says something, and i'd imagine it's only a matter of time before hina hears about her. chiyo isn't the type to be easily pushed around nor is she necessarily the jealous type, but it'd be really interesting to see how the two react to each other with their differing situations and relationships with ren.

as a small aside because i might forget by the end, i do think it'd be so cute to have chiyo meet kyosuke and ren's mom, too :' )) she's such a family gal that i know her heart would be so warm being around all of them, and i’d love to see how ren feels about it.

i honestly think it'd be interesting if chiyo's met both ji-hun and deng prior to ever meeting that man. running into ji-hun when he's checking in with ren, however brief, and it just keeps happening somehow; deng just appearing by happenstance bc he has business with someone else, but oh? this is that lady the rabbit's fond of! and as the desire to help ren grows, those two pop up more frequently just as chiyo begins to notice that red door, too, and whether it's all mere coincidence or not, it's kinda like she's being tugged in goro's direction. corralled, even. i guess this isn't as much a plot as just an extra detail to play with? so...

let's see chiyo complain to ji-hun about deng and ask how she can get him to leave her alone. she's genuinely kinda scared of him after their little chase; it doesn't matter if she just needs to play with him to avoid danger. she feels like she might actually be at risk.

let's see deng perhaps come to her aid, acting as protector rather than predator bc some dummy tried to attack chiyo on one of her many late night strolls. it'd be an interesting situation and complicated bc on one hand, she's always unsettled by his presence, but on the other hand, she should feel grateful. and you know deng is gonna manage to be at least a lil unhinged about the whole thing asdfg

and finally!! i've got my hands open for ren's au's -- you mentioned his incubus verse the other day, and why not throw chiyo's modern fantasy verse into the mix and indulge in supernatural shenanigans <3 i don't know if this would be the sort of situation in which she could summon him? whether on purpose or mistake asdf but there's that or the shop she runs at night that ren could wander into for a lil magical assistance. and since chiyo has a kny verse in which she's a kakushi, there's ample opportunity to explore their dynamic in that setting. let her tend to his wounds pls <3

New Short Story Idea?

Okay so when I finish the Rengoku fic in my drafts I kinda wanna start a mini(?) story of something that has been in my mind for a bit now.

I've been reading a lot, and I mean A LOT, of fanfics centered around isekai!reader x various and now I want to do something similar! Who doesn't love a modern girl falling into a world they love? This post will be the first of two. There will be a poll below so you can vote for what it asks!

Now, onto the plot(?) of the story.

We got modern girl waking up in new world. The part of the timeline? I kinda wanna start it near where the trio are at that mansion with drum demon. I'll have them wake up in the forest nearby and wander towards the noise. She's adventurous and the way she woke up into the KNY world is maybe she went out into the forest she normally goes and its an alice in wonderland situation where she falls into a hole and after falling for so long she passes out. She has a backpack that she usually takes with her so its got essentials. I haven't really come across any fics where the reader has like their phone or anything modern with them except for their outfit. I think it would be interesting if she had her phone and of course other modern things in her pack. Maybe food from her time, water bottle, battery pack with cords, polaroid camera(?), another set of clothes, and MAYBE a few of the KNY manga. It'd be cool if the art inside the books disappeared and were just blank? OR they stay the way they are and they show Amane who describes the scenes they open up to to Kagaya? And then he and his family is kind of the only people who know that she knows the future and he trusts her to let things take its course but she obviously will save the ones that she wants... cough cough rengoku cough cough... anyway!

it'll just follow the plot but with a new character from the modern world who spouts nonsense(Gen Z slang cause it would be funny seeing their confused faces when reader/oc starts dropping words like "rizz" and "gyat"). Maybe have that language barrier as well. Make reader/oc learn japanese(she'll only know the basics at first and definitely every curse word cause thats amazing). The few manga she has with her? Lets say she has volumes 18-20. Amane chooses the 20th volume to skim through.

Now, for the characters main characteristics(?) I guess. The obvious one being her breathing style. I would have gone with my main thing and choose ice but it's kind of generic cause i've seen quite a bit of fanfics with the reader/oc having that breath style. I kinda wanted to go with a more animal-like one like Obanai. He's the only one who has a style that's animal related and it would be amazing if we could get someone else who has an animal breath style. I actually might make three posts and have this one be about the breath styles to choose from.

Yeah, we're gonna do breath styles first so I can get an image of reader/oc's personality.

I was gonna go for ten but I think these 8 are the most interesting to me. Dragon is actually calling to me but thats because I've been watching a lot of Game of Thrones...I'm actually putting it off because I've heard that the "Red Wedding" is the worst thing to ever witness and while I have not been spoiled for it, the reactions I have seen from people who were watching it for the first time made me scared but also insanely curious. If it really is bad then I feel prepared but that's because I'm going with it being as bad as me watching all three Human Centipede movies at a not appropriate age to watch said movies. That was off topic, I'm sorry.
