#Hhhhhhhhhhhhh I've listened to this song like 30 times in the last twelve hours. I can't get enough #Every day I'm like I don't even like Deco that much... was thinking about music production and i think it’s neat that bb’s speakers contain the ‘essentials’ for producing your own music 🤭

#vee queued to fill the void #there was an interview with a music critic??? producer???? idk who they were it was an old asf interview lmao #but they gave their opinions on the og divisions’ first solos and commented new star sounded like very modern #in the sense that it sounded like a mix new wave artists would make and think about that every time i listen to new star lol #like making music is integral to bb’s identity and i’m excited to see that come into play in more ways lol #like we got the block party bc of ichiro wanting to use music to bring joy during an uncertain period #and during that curry track jiro and saburo told ichiro that just like with their music as bb the curry has to reflect who they are #and bb was the only division to mention music in their curry track lol #barely relatedly lol it’s a lot more fun imagining the divisions getting together to make their songs lol #like it’s kinda adorable to think about mtc listening to swimming pools by the goat kendrick and getting so inspired #they wanted to make a song that showed just how much they resonated with it lol

#i know we on tumblr have already known about the whole thing with ng for months #but this new article that has just come out makes me feel even more vindicated than i did before #regarding my own taste in people #before i ever even knew that ng and ap were a couple or had anything to do with each other at all #i already had the ick about each of them separately #i've disliked ng's vibe since literally college and never got into him even when some close friends adored him #and i listened to a song of two of ap's but just... didn't like the impression of her personality that came through in her music #and for both of these things i couldn't explain it and had no justification #and usually presented it in a sort of self-deprecating apologetic way #if i wasn't completely concealing my feelings and going 'oh yeah they're great!' in order to fit in #but i feel like i'm learning a big lesson about trusting myself lately. i really do have good instincts generally. i should listen to them #(obligatory disclaimer here about how 'everyone is problematic in some way' and you don't have to stop enjoying someone's art etc.)#(but that's another whole convo and let's not get into it now)#(point is: this is just me feeling a sobering sense of 'holy shit' in awe as i look back at my own feelings over the past)#anyway. all this said. i do feel really bad rn for people who always loved his work #this must be so much harder for them than it is for the rest of us. i'm sending them strength and love </3

My Hot-Take/Controversial Ranking of Doctor Who Seasons (excluding specials bc my special order is really unhinged)

3 > 1 > 10 > 4 > 5 > 8 > 11 > 12 > 9 > 7b > 2 > 6 > 13 = 7a

Disclaimer: I have favorite episodes that come from every single season on this list, including 7a. For example, even though Season 6 is low on the list, the God Complex, Almost People/Rebel Flesh, and Impossible Astronaut are some of my favorite of the show. I do really love the Power of Three. These are based on season arc/average feeling per episode/rewatchability on a subjective level.

#doctor who #listen seasons 1 and three are basically perfect television for me #season 10 is one of the most fun of the show and bill is my second favorite companion and I love the twelve/missy arc #season 4 is full of banger after banger and journey's end slaps it just doesn't quite hit for me personally like seasons 1 3 and 10 do #season 5 has some episodes i don't like (victory of the daleks for example) but the fairytale vibes/beast below/amy's choice/big bang SLAP #Season 8 has some great episodes/good arc but i just really don't vibe with how cruel the Doctor is sometimes/Danny deserved better #Season 11 (other than fucking kerblam) i really enjoy! it has some weak writing in places but i love graham&ryan's arc & the smaller vibes #Season 12 is objectively better than season 11 but has weaker character arcs and some weaker episodes so eh #season 9 has one of the best finales in the show/some fun two-parters (i adore under the lake/before the flood) but the arcs feel off #7b is...fun & i like a lot of the episodes but i don't like the name/day/time of the doctor & it drags it down + clara's not fleshed out #season 2 is so good in places (cybermen 2-parter/school reunion/new earth) but has so many weak episodes & not as much character developmen #season 6...I love some episodes but I DESPISE the pregnancy arc/let's kill hitler/wedding of river song & how little agency Amy & river hav #season 13 is just...FINE. I enjoy some of the side characters (vinder bel karvanista) but the flux itself felt weirdly...boring? no emotion #(Jodie was SO GOOD in this season though btw)#and season 7a...asylum of the daleks dinosaurs on a spaceship & angels take manhattan are on my least favorite episodes list. like bottom 1 #and I'm sorry but a town called mercy and power of three can't save that #amy and rory should have left with the god complex/christmas special and popped back like martha did in season 4 #i said what i said #wow i really went off in the tags on this one #meta #rankings

#clai speaks #playing this i realized. i just really hated smb on ds BWJBDJFB #why did i persist so hard with that game i was not having a good time. wonder is So much better #i appreciate online kinda being an easy mode HJEBDJF i can just revive off other players instead of throwing myself at the same course--#--a bajillion times and probably dying at the same spot like i did in nsmb #6163563 courses and my favorite is still 1-2 because thats piranha plants on parade BSJHDH #ITS SOOO CUTE I LOVE THE MUSIC WONDERS SM. i listen to the piranha's song a lot just outside the game its adorable #i love how there were secrets in the overworld map too it almost felt like its own course #ily talking flowers!! idc what anyone else thinks of them they're my best friends and were never annoying to me #all the new voice actors are so good i eventually forgot luigi had a new va at all tbh #and mario sounds different but not a Bad different he's still really good #big fan of this game i hope future platformer marios are as good as this one!!! please dont go back to the nsmb style i'm begging you

i have so many thoughts about the little mermaid (2023) and it's like. oh my god who cares.

#like who gives a shit it's a nostalgia bait evil corporation remake but also that's part of my thoughts about it #btw halle bailey invented singing halle and jonah invented chemistry all of the great things about the original still hold up 30 yrs later #a lot of the expansions were actually really interesting and worked really well for me? like giving eric his own song and fleshing him out #the song itself was kinda mid as most of the original songs from these remakes are but i liked that they expanded him a bit #i think they might've missed an opportunity to explore the adoption aspect a little more but idk that might just be me #and otoh some of the added stuff was so unnecessary like #making her forget she needs to kiss him just so that idk ursula seems even more evil and sebastian has an 'excuse' to sing kiss the girl??#silly #the little mermaid figurine was adorable but they didn't repeat the words 'my little mermaid' so much #it's not a flaw of the original that they don't say the words 'the little mermaid' you don't have to say the title in the movie #a lot of these changes felt like they think the audience is dumb and don't trust them to understand that it's called the little mermaid #because she is the youngest sister and she is a mermaid. we get it okay we understand.#and also like. i get why they recruit these really talent and famous musical theatre composers to write new songs but #i think it's a better idea to get writers who can emulate menken and ashman's style a bit better bc the new songs really stuck out #lin manuel miranda is so talented but his style is so different to theirs idk #long story short halle bailer supremacy + trust your audience #or maybe don't bc my siblings always prefer the remakes to the originals and they're more representative of the general audience so.
