came to the realization that i'm actually... really pretty.
i don't think i'll ever know what people see when they look at me. that's just a fact of life, i guess; you can control how you present yourself to others, but not how they perceive you. that fact caused me to hide away from myself for almost a decade, practically to the point where i couldn't recognize myself in the mirror. as in, i'm familiar with my face – i'm aware that the face staring back at me is my own – but i'm not sure if i'm seeing the right thing... what that "right thing" was supposed to be, i have no idea.
i would go to lengths to make sure i was pretty by my own fucked up standards, but after hearing people describe me, i started doing things for the sake of others and not myself. i tried so hard to maintain their positive image of me that i legitimately couldn't look myself in the eyes without feeling like a fucking fraud.
because for the longest time, i believed that i was lying to people somehow. if you thought i was softspoken, i would disagree; my friends and family think i'm pretty loud. if you thought i was graceful, i would disagree; i bump into anything and everything, i have the worst butterfingers, and i'm as stiff as a board. if you thought i was pretty, i would vehemently deny that; who would see beauty in my bloated body? my fluctuating weight, my hormonal acne, my uncooperative curls. where is the beauty in that?
but just the other day, whilst i was looking at myself in the mirror, my head emptied itself to make room for a single thought:
i'm really, really pretty.
for the first time in my life, i thought i was pretty as i was. there were no filters, no hastily applied eye makeup... nothing. no comparison to my friends, no sizing myself up against the "ideal" black woman... just me and my tired eyes, my oddly shaped, day-old twist out 'fro, and my oversized stitch pajama pants.
i'm not perfect. my dark eyebrows are sisters, not twins; my under-eye area is insanely dark; my eyelashes aren't as long and prominent as they used to be; my hair is always flat somewhere, my tummy is constantly bloated, i look better with my glasses on, and i'm covered head to toe in hair that i'm not entirely proud of...
...but i'm me. i'm me, and for the first time ever, i'm so proud of that. i can look at my imperfections and think of ways to gently fix it instead of hurt myself in the process of trying to conceal it. i'm going to the gym tomorrow and making plans to buy lashes to start my makeup journey – not as a means to hide my insecurities, but to make myself feel beautiful on my own terms.
(side note: i posted a video rambling about this on my instagram story last night. i had said something along the lines of "i don't know what other people are seeing that i can't see, but i know that i finally love what i do see."
and violet, in all his infinite wisdom, replied to my story in under five minutes saying: "that's why you wear glasses."
i told him that it's on sight when i see him again, his reply was: "oh really? would you even be able to see me?"
...why did i have to fall in love with a man? i can't stand his ass 😭)
#[ 🌱 — blah blah. ]#i can finally address my imperfections peacefully#and that brings me so much joy#i'm so content with this change in my thinking#it's embarrassing to have this realization at the age of 22#but i don't care#and i think that's okay#better late than never right?#self love#the road to recovery is not a linear one#and its definitely not an upward trajectory#so i'm going to ride this upward movement as much as i can

Yandere Nerd Blackmails "Mean Girl" You into Being His
[Yandere! Nerd x Popular! GN! Reader]
·゜·:.。..。.:·☆·゜·:.。..。.:·☆
You're one of the popular people in school: surrounded by tons of friends, always going out on dates every weekend, and always invited to every party.
To say the least, you loved you life.
However, while your social life was on an upward trajectory, you struggled a little bit with your classes. And with an upcoming physics midterm giving you anxiety, you knew that you had to do something.
"H-hey, Y/N," some random nerd (Nate?) who sat beside you in class said. He wore a really large smile and his eyes seemed to shine with adoration the more he stared at you.
"Yeah?" you asked, anger seeping into your tone due to your stress levels.
"If you want a tutor, I can help you out?" Nate cheerily smiled, almost begging you to accept his offer.
He wanted you to accept so badly! He loves you so desperately!
You vaguely recalled this nerdy guy as the one who kept following you around like a lovesick puppy. However, given your high social status, you didn't pay him too much attention.
"Eww," you scoffed, oblivious to his frown. Ugh, what would your friends say if they saw you with him?
You didn't like the idea of owing anyone, plus, Nate would most likely just drool all over you as you attempted to study.
*Sigh, it's just the price to pay for being pretty.
After school, you were making your way down the hall when you noticed that the door to your physics class was slightly ajar, and there was zero sign of the teacher. And on the desk was a little, tantalizing manilla folder.
You knew it was wrong, that you could get in some serious trouble (even risking expulsion), yet you couldn't resist rushing inside and snatching the folder off the desk to peek at its contents.
And voilà!
The answers to the midterm were in your clutches. Thinking quickly, you took a quick picture of the answers with your phone and placed them back into the folder, setting it on the desk and rushing out of the classroom.
·゜·:.。..。.:·☆·゜·:.。..。.:·☆
You got an A+ on your physics midterm.
"Good work, Y/N," the teacher even said as she handed you back your exam. "I can tell you studied a lot."
"Sure did," you confidently said, a wide smile on your face. You were on top of the world, having passed the hard test with absolutely zero negative consequences.
You were riding high for most of the school day, already planning out your weekend that was supposed to be full of partying and flirting with the quarterback of the football team (he has muscles for days), when Nate approached you at your locker.
"Hey there, Y/N," he smirked, his eyes narrowing for some reason.
"Whaaaat?" you sighed, already fed up with this loser who seemed to just want to waste your precious time.
"I heard you got a perfect score on the midterm," Nate knowingly grinned, something in his tone making you wince. "That's pretty impressive, seeing as how you were a little worried before."
You rolled your eyes, slamming your locker shut as you readied yourself to storm off. "Are you trying to say that I'm not smart?" you deflected. "That's not nice." You spun around on your heels.
"Neither is cheating," Nate muttered, making you freeze.
Slowly, you turn around to stare Nate down. Despite your face going pale at the thought of being found out, you saw that Nate had a big smirk on his... did... did he know? No, there was no way.
You were careful, right?
"What are you talking about?" you asked, trying to act all cool, but your heart was racing like crazy in your chest.
The knowing smirk on Nate's face, the way he narrowed his cold calculating eyes at you, and the way he chuckled let you know that something was wrong. Plus, Nate was WAY taller than you, and the way he towered over you, leaning threateningly over you, was enough to make you shiver.
Something was definitely wrong.
Nate snatched his phone out of his pocket and held it up to your stunned face. On the screen was something horrible:
A video recording of you sneaking into the physics room, and taking a picture of the midterm answers.
How?
How could Nate have recorded you cheating? You were so careful to not get caught?
...and worse...
...w-was Nate following you? Why else would he record you?
The blood drained from your face as you watched the video play over and over on Nate's phone.
Out of instinct, you tried to snatch it away from the nerd, but he was too fast for you. He held it up in his grasp, way out of your reach.
Nate mock-frowned at you. "That's not very nice, Y/N," he teased. "Now let's think about this real quick."
You huffed and fought with all of your might to not roll your eyes (again).
"If I were to show this copy to the school board," Nate continued, his voice slow and smooth, "and yes, I said 'Copy'-- then you'd be expelled. And then what would happen to you?"
If you were expelled, it'd be the end of the world for you, no exaggeration. Your parents are super strict, and if they found out you'd cheated on a midterm, they'd blister your ass. And if they found out you'd been expelled for cheating on a midterm, then you'd might as well dig your own grave.
And Nate inferred that he had more than one copy of the video of you cheating.
No matter how much you wanted to deny it, the stupid nerd had you cornered.
Hangin your head in defeat, you tried to hide your reddening face. "You can't show that video," you whispered. "...please."
Nate snorted as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Oh?" he questioned, challenging you. "And what's stopping me?"
Fuck.
Your stomach was tied in knots, and the more you stared up at the smirking nerd, the more you realized that you had you cornered; both literally and figuratively.
"Well," you frowned, feeling as if you'd projectile vomit all over his cocky face, "what do you want?"
Nate's smirk grew and stretched out the confines of his face, the shadows crossing over it in an eerie manner. He leaned in closer to you, making your back press tightly against the cold locker that you were trapped against, especially when he pressed both of his arms on either side of your trembling frame.
"You," he answered flatly.
"...huh?" you asked.
Nate snorted and leaned down even closer, his nose brushing up against yours. "I want you," he said.
At first, a look of pure disgust crossed over your face. You were popular, the top fo the top! There was absolutely no way in the world that you'd be caught dead with someone as lowly as Nate!
But when his smirk transformed into a scowl, your face melted into a look of fear.
"Look, Y/N," Nate spat, "either you be mine, and only mine; or, I tell the school board that you're nothing but a filthy, lying cheater, and you get expelled."
Your heart fell the floor.
Nate continued to smile down at you. "The choice is yours, Y/N."
To be continued...? (depending on if people like Nate)

Three years!
Hello, everyone and happy Jimlingss anniversary! Woohoo! It has been three years since my official retirement and eight years since I’ve began this blog. That’s absolutely crazy since it all feels like yesterday. Time flies when you’re having fun.
First and foremost, thank you to all who still send me messages and give me feedback on my stories! I do check back once in a while and read everything, so nothing goes unnoticed. Your kind words always make me miss the simpler days of writing. :’) It really gets me nostalgic.
Second, here is my yearly update!
I’ve finished my second year of law school! I finished off this year with a bang and did quite well, if I do say so myself. There’s one more year left to go and that’s insane since I remember the first day so vividly. I’m a bit sad for it to be all over — I never thought I’d ever feel this way. But I’ve made so many friends and created so many memories. When it’s all over, everyone will be going their own path. Luckily, I’m sure we’ll remain connected and be close friends no matter what.
I don’t think I’ve had such a positive experience quite like this in all my years of schooling. I’ve always been the type to just scurry on home, never liked what I was studying, and never had too many friends. So this change has been unexpected yet very welcome.
In terms of career, I’ve been working this summer and I have something lined up for when I’m finished school! So soon I’ll be racking in the dough, wooooooo!! Let’s get it!
My family is also doing well — and I feel very fortunate for that.
Third, and most important, I am happy to announce that I have a boy I absolutely adore! We’ve officially been dating for four months? That seems so short on paper, but we’ve known each other for close to two years! I’m living out one of my friends to lovers fics, I swear (lol).
He’s been a close friend since the start of law school and somewhere along the line I gradually caught feelings (of course I did lmao). I was sure rejection was on the horizon and I wanted to preserve our dear friendship, so I was trying to get over it for months by myself. This included online dating and going on a string of dates (hahaha). I ended up cracking and calling him on the phone one night, but then aborted mission. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I stopped avoiding him and being an embarrassment, and I finally confronted him. He said we should give it a shot, and here we are!
He has brown, curly hair that reminds me of a poodle. And he made me realize why love is so loved — why it’s so revered — talked about — imprinted in each other’s minds. Everywhere. I’ve written countless love stories but never truly experienced the feeling before, and yet, he’s made the heart of my stories come to life. He’s let me live them in real time.
I really hope it works out! LOL
Anyway, I’m always happy to do these updates and for all those who may be just a bit curious enough about me to check in. Although this is a very positive update (and I hope it continues to be), my life isn’t without its ups and downs either. It just seems to be in a general upwards trajectory.
Thank you to everyone who still remembers me, and who may still read my stories! I definitely haven’t forgotten about you all, so I hope you haven’t forgotten me either.
Here’s to another year! See you again!
#I also just got two wisdom teeth removed so that’s been not fun lol#working is mehhhh#don’t think corporate life is for me but we’ll see#the money is indeed alluring lol#in terms of writing i still do a bit through school for fun#I still want to write a book someday!!!#writing is still my passion#I’m also traveling to Europe this August with my family#that’ll be fun#Jin is finished in the army?? Let’s goooo#anyway see you guys real soon!#I shall return again#Jimlingss

Trolls Made Our Universe: The Analysis
Let's talk about it.
Looking back, it's pretty clear that this was always our destination. The comic's scope has been on an upward trajectory for thousands of pages, and the Ultimate Alchemy hype has been building since midway through Act 4.
Hell, even I thought the planet I theorized about was just going to be a stepping stone to something bigger. Homestuck just keeps escalating - we might not even stop here, although I can't predict what the next step would be, since we're working with multiple varieties of multiverse already.
Anyway, this reveal confirms that Sburb's grandstanding about the Players' importance isn't just hot air - they really do serve a critical purpose. Assertions that this 'purpose' is more important than saving Earth are still dubious - but now, I can at least understand the coldly utilitarian place the game is coming from.
I still don't know why it has to work this way, but now I finally know what's happening. Earth's universe was born from the blood of Alternia, and the kids were created to perpetuate the cycle again, creating a new universe from the blood of Earth.
Close! It was less of a gasp, though, and more of an under-the-breath 'what the fuck'. I don't know why a universe surprised me as much as it did - like I said, I was already half-expecting a planet!
I think the real sticking point is the difference in scale - and, as a consequence, the difference in Grist cost.
It makes a certain intuitive sense that you could convert the Denizen Grist into a planet - comparable in size, presumably, to the planetoids that the Denizens call home. But a universe is an entirely different animal, one which would dwarf the Incipisphere by dozens of orders of magnitude.
Extrapolating from the typical volume of a Grist piece, four Land-sized vaults of the stuff wouldn't be nearly enough. Even if Denizen Grist is a million times more valuable than normal, and each Denizen released a million times the Incipisphere's volume in Grist, it still wouldn't be nearly enough.
I guess the game could just hardcode the Grist cost of a universe down to a manageable value, but that would break the game's own rules, and doesn't seem in spirit with how its progression system works.
No, I think something screwy must be going on with the Denizen hoards. Maybe they're full of special Grist, each piece of which is worth 1e70 normal pieces - or maybe picking them up actually multiplies the value of your grist cache, rather than adding to it.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the hoards are this comically large. After all, their value is beyond even Vriska's imagination.
The exact mechanics here are definitely worth speculating about. Let's talk about how, exactly, this universe may have come to be. The trolls obviously can't have crafted this thing atom-by-atom, or even planet-by-planet - not unless Aradia took them into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for a billion years of blueprinting.
A lot of Alternian culture is integrated into Earth, though, and it had to get there somehow. In keeping with what anon said, I think these ideas were sort of 'merged' into the universe when it was created.
After all, Sburb is all about merging ideas, and we've been working with idea-merging machines since day one!
The trolls alchemized their universe, even if they didn't use a traditional Alchemiter to do so. If they wanted their universe to exhibit certain traits, all they needed to do was feed it certain ingredients, merging them with whatever 'universe' object they presumably gained access to at the end of the game. I'm just going to call it the seed.
Maybe the reason humans look so much like trolls is because the trolls inserted their codes into their universe's alchemy recipe, perhaps attempting to revive the troll species without the Matriorb.
Wait, scratch that.
Maybe the reason humans look so much like trolls, and have red blood, is because one specific troll's code ended up in their recipe.
Come to think of it - since we're already doing large-scale alchemy, there's a pretty easy way for the trolls to ensure that every trait they want ends up in their new universe.
All they'd need is a fetch modus and a drawing tablet.
If you're being evicted into a new universe, you might as well make it feel like home.
Adding Alternia's code to the seed would, in one fell swoop, explain all the facets of troll culture observed on Earth. It would also, in a way, 'resurrect' the troll homeworld without truly reviving it - a bittersweet prize for our victorious Players.
As mentioned above, it would be weird if Earth was the only planet to inherit DNA from Old Man Alternia. It would make sense if each civilization exhibited different Alternian traits - like, maybe there's an exoplanet out there somewhere where lusi evolved, and another where everyone has the same necromantic powers as Aradia.
It also means the universe was probably full of space empires. If the meteors didn't get Earth, Neo-Alternia might have eventually come knocking...
I also think I was conflating the signs on the trolls' clothes with the signs of the Alternian Zodiac, without considering that those might be two entirely different sets of 'signs'. The trolls themselves never refer to Cancer or Aquarius as Zodiac signs, after all. Maybe the Extended Zodiac is a different thing entirely.
Anyway - yeah, that is interesting. The kids' universe was created by twelve Players, and now its stars bear their signature - so whose signature is embedded in the trolls' stars?
An implied 48-Player session sounds amazing. Doubly so, if Hussie's using Squiddles to imply a Horrorterror session. That's an absolutely fascinating idea, on so many levels, and I do hope we see the trolls speculating about their own creators at some point.
Of course, this 48-sign Squiddles stuff could also be a red herring. I'm getting used to how this comic works, and just so it's on record...
...this is what I suspect is actually going on.
In any case, I'm as hyped as you all are!
Hussie's hand has finally been shown, and Homestuck has been revealed as the creation myth that had been built up all along. I can't wait to see what's next.

Ranking Korn Albums to preoccupy myself
14. The Nothing - think I heard it once
13. Serenity of Suffering - think I heard it once
12. Untitled - SYOTOS's boring brother. Bozzio plays some drums and that's probably the only notable thing.
11. The Paradigm Shit - think I heard it once
10. Requiem - moder Korn like the one's I heard once, but I was compelled to spin a couple times.
9. Path of Totality - The dubstep one! Ok a transparent attempt to trend jump, but they got the trend's pros, so it's a solid dubstep album.
8. Korn III - a return to roots is usually a sign of desperation. This one's fine, but reminds you of the better Albums they're duping.
7. Life Is Peachy - classic Sophomore slump. Got gold, but a lot is piss take filler.
6. Take a Look in the Mirror - running on fumes. Definitely their last album when Nu Metal was relevant and a sign why the genre was losing steam. It's also a return to roots album that doesn't connect. But! It's a testament to the band that at the height of their skills they could autopilot into some hooks. And Yall Wanna Single rules.
5. Follow the Leader - It's also a testament that the album they recorded in a bender was their breakthrough. Like... there's a few tracks that sound it. But mostly this is a great Nu Metal album. And the last time they really let the hip hop influence shine.
4. Untouchables - Korn with like a Boston esque attention to sound production. The first five really show an upward trajectory in regards to atmosphere and this is pinnacle. Also listen to the MSI remix of Here to Stay.
3. Issues - Follow the Leader's grimmer soberer brother. Even for a Korn album, it's pretty dark sounding. They put FOUR tracks from this on Greatest Hits.
2. Korn - this wasn't my favorite growing up, but time after time it's just shown itself to be a sick, ugly, sludgy beast. It really sounds like methier Helmet. Funkier, too!
1. See You on the Other Side - this is a perfect storm. Aging metal band past its prime and down a man recruits dudes who wrote songs for Hillary Duff and Avril Lavigne. Sounds awful. Enter the third heat: future Nine Inch Nail, Atticus Ross. The end result is heavy. It's poppy. And it's WEIRD. It opens with a minute of reversed drums. There's bagpipe scat soundscapes. There's some trip hop. I dunno, I just love this hot mess. Bonus tracks kick ass too.

Re Tilrey coming out of everything okay, or not, or a mix (def a mix!)
I think he definitely had a turbulent 20s - mid 30s. Which is completely natural for someone coming out of the trauma he did. You have lots of things that keep coming up for you at those ages.
His long relationship with Gersha (which I still feel he wasn't in 100% freely in its first go-around). His traumatic breakup - which was entirely genuine (that sweet scene of him rushing out to the hallway to cry while watching Gersha (no longer speaking to him) giving a speech they'd worked on together 😢). Briefly dealing with the "what now" prospect of needing to start an entirely new life, all alone in the Laborer dorm knowing no one.
The trauma he felt from becoming a father, with zero agency in it. The way Upstarts & Councillors still kept treating him, gazing at him, throwing descriptions of his sexuality & his rapes in his face whether for titillation or to hurt him (which hurt him & made him uncomfortable either way). The difficulty & trauma & ultimately success at building back his ability to stand up for himself (which he'd had with Malsha but lost during the AKOB timeline we're in now). The Trips to Thurskein & Harbour being significant parts of that strengthening.
By his late 30s/early 40s things had settled in a little more for him, and building his behind-the-scenes career so well and the self-esteem, purpose, and fulfillment that created in him was a big help. He's still quiet when he shouldn't be holding things in so much alone, and "holding himself still", and not healed - but evolved into a new phase of dealing.
TL;DR: I just love him!
❤️❤️ That makes me happy because of course I shamelessly love him too. ☺️ And yes, he really has evolved! Gersha didn’t “save” him, but the situation did eventually make it possible for Tilrey to thrive. I hesitate to say “save himself,” because there’s no salvation/damnation binary here, for sure. Just a gradual reclaiming and coping and adaptation process.
I was just thinking about this because I saw a thread about the book A Little Life and how it’s basically whump (which I agree with). I feel like maybe I should have loved that book, but the wall-to-wall hopelessness and the downward spiral were too much for me. I wanted Jude to have more agency, to claim the agency he had access to, though I do understand how depression pulls a person downward. So I guess that’s why I wrote these stories this way—to give Tilrey a more positive evolution, without pretending that it’s a straight or easy upward trajectory.

A California Adventure 🎡
Woohoo!"
"Shar, put your hands up!—"
"Already done!"
Mish laughs, her voice carrying off into the wind. "That's my girl!"
Shar's eyes are wide open at the peak of the Incredicoaster, heart soaring as she takes in the view…she can see everything up here—colorful roofs of buildings, the winding paths, and all the people that look like ants from above—
"Oh wow." Her hands fly up in excitement. She didn't know she'd love being this high above. There, in the distance, stands the iconic Mickey coaster—Mickey looks at her with a bright, cheery smile. Encouraging her. Cheering her on for conquering this rollercoaster.
Best decision ever.
"We're at the top, woo!" Mish's arms stretch out, the southern California wind whipping her hair around.
And Shar? She's loving every second. She turns to Hugh who is seated right beside her, grinning from ear to ear.
"You okay, Shar Shar?"
"I'm amazing!"
"Get ready for the drop!!" Mish yells, amplifying Shar's excitement.
Shar's eyes are wide open. All she sees is thousands of feet above ground and they're so high…gloriously high…a thrill of anticipation overtakes her. She grabs Hugh's hand, squeezing it in excitement.
Mish glances at Shar and her enthusiasm grows. She follows Shar's gaze, a matching grin on her face. "You're loving this, aren't you?"
"It's incredible. It's—"
With a thrilling lurch, the roller coaster begins its descent.
"WOOHOO!"
The wind whips through their hair as they plunge downward, a mix of excited and exhilarated screams filling the air. Shar's eyes remain wide open, drinking in every moment. As the roller coaster banks around a curve, Shar, Hugh, and Mish all scream in delight. Sitting beside Mish, Channing lets out a piercing scream, his voice reaching high octaves that belied his muscular frame:
"Ahhhh!"
As the roller coaster approached the loop-the-loop, they soared through the air, upside down. Mish whooped and hollered, clearly in her element. Meanwhile, Channing's backward cap flew off his head, sending it tumbling through the air.
"BABE, yo hat!" Mish exclaimed, her eyes widening as she watched the cap's trajectory.
The hat sailed through the air, propelled by the wind, and smacked Hugh directly in the face.
"Ahhh!" Hugh exclaimed, his voice muffled as he tried to bat the hat away.
The roller coaster speeds up, racing towards the loop-the-loop. Shards of light flash by as they soar through the air, upside down. Screams echo, and Mish whoops with delight. Shar's long chocolate brown hair flips into her face as they're both flipped over, turning sunny California upside down.
"This is amazing!!!" Shar shouts, her face lit up with pure joy.
"Woohoo!"
The rollercoaster banks again, sending them soaring upwards. Shar throws her hands in the air as they climb, then lets out an exhilarated whoop as they tumble back down, looping once more.
"Again! Let's do it again!" Shar declares, her eyes shining with excitement.
Mish just laughs. "I told you you'd love it! We'll definitely ride it again!"
As the coaster slows, entering the final stretch, Shar already knows she'll be first in line for the next ride. Always.
Just as ride comes to a stop, they step off, legs shaky, hearts pounding, but grins plastered on their faces.
Le Festin’s fry cook.
Aaron sat on the dirty Disneyland ground, completely flattened by Goya's tight grip on his hair, his eyes widening as he felt his blonde strands painfully being pulled from his scalp.
"Ow, bruh!" Aaron exclaimed, his voice a mix of surprise and pain. "Ay, that's my hair you're tugging on!"
"Daddy, you screamed like a girl!" Tre teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief as he chased little Oscar in circles around Ava’s stroller, their laughter ringing through the air.
Channing deep laughter rumbled, his eyes crinkling with amusement. "Oh yeah, buddy?"
Shar gently tugged Goya from Aaron's poor noodle body, relieving him. "Thank you so much for taking care of her…it really means a lot."
Aaron stumbled from the ground, offering her a weary smile. He shrugs. "It's all good, Shar. Anytime." He shoots Shar a pair of finger guns.
As Aaron got up, Hugh gave Aaron a subtle look, a silent reminder of the blackmail he was paying Aaron to babysit during their trip.
"Daddy, you also screamed like a girl!" Oscar teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Hugh's deep laughter filled the air as he scooped his son into a playful tickle. "Oh yeah? Well, I think Shar screamed more than me, no?"
Hugh then pulled Shar close, his strong arms enveloping her in a loving embrace. He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, his eyes holding a tenderness that made her heart skip a beat.
"That was fun babe.”
Shar's heart fluttered. "Really?"
"Yeah." Hugh's voice was deep and velvety, his breath warm against her ear, sending a shiver down her spine. He leans in even closer, whispering into her ear.
“You know…one of these days, I want to make you scream like that too…"
Shar's jaw drops, a flush creeping up her neck. She quickly looks around the crowded place, hoping no one heard him.
As if on cue, Ava's tiny face crumpled and she let out a wail of protest. Hugh, ever vigilant, turned to Aaron, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
"What did you do to my baby girl while I was gone?"
Aaron held up his hands defensively, his voice cautious. "Nothing, I swear bruh! She's just a baby! Babies…cry."
As Shar and Mish continued talking to the kids, Hugh secretly pressed a mini knife to Aaron's back.
“Make my precious girl happy again…you better, or else you know what will happen to your other hand…”
Aaron's eyes widened, the memory of Hugh stabbing him like a freaking kebab haunting his mind.
"Okay, bruh! I'll get her to stop crying! Sheesh.”
While Aaron got to work shaking a rattle and making silly faces for Ava, Tre was busy jumping up and down, begging to ride the big coaster too. "Can we ride too! Please!"
Mish shook her head. "Not yet, Tre. Let's find a ride that's just your size. C'mon!"
With laughter, the group set off to explore more of California Adventure. They begin to walk around the park, burning under the sun. Little Ava pipes up in her stroller, pointing at the nearby Grizzly Peak. It glints under the blue sky, the sun rays hitting off the giant structure.
"M-mountain!"
"Oh, you wanna go explore the mountain, huh?" Shar asks, tickling Ava's tiny belly.
The group sets off towards Grizzly Peak, laughter and excited chatter filling the air. Tre and Oscar charges ahead, full of energy, while Goya and Ava giggles in the stroller.
As they walk, Mish leans over to Shar, a playful glint in her eye. "So..."
"So?" Shar asks, catching on to her friend's unspoken question.
"How was the ride?"
Shar shakes her head, letting out a dramatic ugh. "Way too fast for me—"
Mish elbows her, shaking her head. "Nah…I meant the ride from last night…the ride in the hotel. He screaming your name yet?"
"Wha—M-mish!?" Shar's cheeks heat up. She glances around to ensure the kids are out of earshot before replying, a quiet whisper. "Hugh didn't scream my name yet…if that's what you're asking."
Mish raises eyebrows. "Ooh, girl. But y'all been together for a while now."
Shar blushes, clearing her throat. "A-anyways…which ride are we going on now?"
The group decides to skip Grizzly Peak, opting for something a little more kid-friendly. And so they find themselves at the colorful entrance of Toy Story Mania, greeted by life-size cutouts of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The kids squeal with delight, running ahead.
"This way Tre!" Channing calls out, guiding the kids into the ride. Outside, Aaron watches the babies while Mish and her boyfriend, Mr. Step Up, watches the two wild toddlers: Oscar and Trevon.
They're already crazy bffs.
Meanwhile, Shar and Hugh ride on their own. He slips his hand into his, their fingers intertwining as they follow inside the colorful building. Her heart flutters at the public display of affection—it still feels new. Different. She's so used to doing everything herself in life, that even small things like getting her hand held makes her feel…
…Finally loved.
"Let's go, babe!" Hugh calls out jumping into their own carnival tram, his voice confident. "Winner gets a prize!"
"Oh, it's on!" Shar replies, snapping out of her thoughts.
The game begins, and they're off—virtual plates are smashed, eggs are tossed, and pies are thrown with sharp precision. The sounds of the game fill the air—the click-clack of the shooters, the laughter of the onlookers, and the occasional whoop of victory.
“Yes!!” Shar claps her hand, scoring a point.
Hugh gives her a high five, when it takes every bit of strength not to kiss her for the hundreth time again.
Afterwards, the gang all exits out, bragging about their wins. The late afternoon sun casts a warm glow over the park. They stroll together, the toddlers running ahead once more, their laughter echoing off the vibrant walls of the park.
Mish approaches, little Tre in tow, the boy proudly showing off his score. "Look, Mommy! I got so many points!"
She scoops him up, beaming with pride. "That's my boy!"
"I can't believe I lost," Hugh teases, a hand resting on Shar's lower back. It edges close to her ass, the one he’d been staring at all evening. "Must've taken pity on you, letting you win and all."
Shar elbows him lightly. "Keep dreaming, old man. I beat you fair and square."
"Old man, huh?" Hugh's voice drops, almost a whisper against the loud sounds of the crowd. "Guess you'll have to show me some extra love later to make up for that insult.”
…Oh?
Shar feels her cheeks flush again. She quickly hides behind her hair, squirming under his focused gaze.
Ava, along with her new best friend Goya, both pipe up from their stroller. "Ice cwream! Ice cwream! Pweaase?”
Hugh's attention shifts to his daughter and Goya, his gaze softening. "Ice cream, huh? Think we can find some, princesses?"
Goya and Ava giggle and clap their hands, letting out little whoops. “Yay! Yay!”
A rumbling of stomachs confirm Ava's request. The group decides unanimously on food. The sun shines warmly overhead as they wander towards Paradise Gardens Park, their laughter echoing off the vibrant walls. The savory scent of grilled foods lingers in the air, mingling with the sweet notes of cotton candy and freshly baked treats.
"Hm…I think I'll get that m&m ice cream," Mish declares, leading little Tre by the hand towards the colorful ice cream stand. Channing follows behind with a smirk.
"Oh?" Channing says. "Is it because you wanna visit your twin again?"
Mish swirls around in utter confusion. "Huh? Watchu talkin 'bout babe?"
Channing points to the brown m&m, the one wearing stylish glasses and heels. "Yo twin."
Mish rolls her eyes, elbowing him. "Get outta here!"
Meanwhile, Shar's eyes drift over the array of treats, from ice cream sandwiches to colorful snow cones. "Ooh, I want an ice cream too babe!”
At this, Hugh raises an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Vanilla or strawberry?"
"Chocolate!”
He pays the sweet treat and reaches for the ice cream cone, the soft swirl reminding him of Shar's beautiful skin, the ones he liked to caress at night as he secretly watches her fall asleep, night after night…
After night…
After night.
He holds out the cone, offering it to Shar. "Here. Let me.”
Shar's cheeks flush as she leans forward, feeling self-conscious under the gaze of the bustling crowd. But as the cool, creamy ice cream touches her tongue, she closes her eyes, savoring the sweetness.
“Mmm...'
Meanwhile, Hugh watches as she savors the ice cream, his eyes intense. His gaze fixes on her pink, delicate tongue, tasting the ice cream. He yearns to replace the dessert with her lips, feeling that soft, mouth explore his mouth once again. As she licks the, his thoughts wander, imagining that tongue grazing against his-
"Oh yeah, that was so good.” She opens her eyes, meeting his intense gaze. Shar's breath hitches, held in that moment.
"Come here." His voice is deep, commanding.
At his words, Shar's movements stutter, her hand pausing in mid-lick. "What?"
Hugh leans closer, his eyes fixed on her mouth. With a swift movement, he wipes a stray drop of ice cream from the corner of her lips. His touch lingers, his thumb gently caressing her soft skin.
Shar freezes, her heart pounding in her chest. She can feel his breath on her face, his intense gaze on her.
"There," he says softly, his voice sending shivers down her spine. "My girl was…a bit dirty.”
Shar's cheeks flame at the touch. "I-I didn't realize..."
The sun continues its downward descent, casting warm rays over the colorful landscape as the group tries other rides, eventually making their way towards Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. The vibrant tractors and trailers catch little Oscar's eye, and he tugs on his father's hand excitedly.
"I wanna go fast, Daddy!" Oscar exclaims, jumping up and down with excitement.
Hugh ruffles his son's hair fondly. "All right, buddy. Let's show them how it's done."
He places Oscar in the seat next to him, while Channing and Tre settle into another tractor nearby. Mish and Shar stand on the sidelines with Ava, Goya, and poor babysitter Aaron, phones all ready to capture the moment.
The music begins, and the tractors start to spin and whirl.
Oscar's laughter fills the air as their tractor picks up speed, whirling faster and faster. Tre's excited squeals join the melody, his eyes shining with delight.
"You've got this, Tre!" Mish calls out, grinning widely.
"Go, Oscar!" Shar cheers, her phone recording the scene.
However, as the ride continues, Oscar's laughter begins to fade. The spinning tractors, once a source of joy, now seem to whirl too fast for his little stomach to handle. His face sags, and he starts to gag.
"Whoa, you okay?!" Hugh calls out, but it's too late.
Oscar lets out a small groan, and suddenly, he releases the contents of his stomach all over Hugh's shirt. Ice cream and everything. Vomit seeps everywhere.
All the girls gasp on the sidelines. Even Aaron gasps, trying not to laugh, lest he get stabbed again.
“Oh ma gosh?!” Shar screams.
At the same moment, Tre's excited squeals turn to whimpers. Channing barely has time to react before Tre follows suit, vomiting all over Channing's designer t-shirt as well.
"Da hell?!” Channing exclaims, his chill attitude dissappearing.
On the sidelines, Mish and Shar's jaws drop again.
"Oh that's not…" Mish says, sighing and shaking her head.
Shar gasps, her eyes widening. "Babe! Oh my goodness!?"
Hugh and Channing grimace as they both climb out the ride with the two boys, both acting a bit sluggish.
"I think it's time for a change of clothes," Hugh says.
"…And maybe some ginger ale for the kids," Channing adds, patting Tre's back gently.
Shar and Mish both nod their heads, secretly giggling and replaying the video they've just captured.
And so, the group finds themselves heading to Downtown Disney, in search of new shirts and a quick refresh. The lively district buzzes with energy, the walkways filled with shoppers and diners enjoying the evening ambiance.
They enter World of Disney, the largest store in the district, in search of new attire. While Hugh secretly threatens Aaron to keep an eye on the kids outside while the adults shop, Shar browses the racks, her eyes scanning the array of colorful apparel.
The crowd sways and presses in on them as they shuffle inside World of Disney. It's packed wall-to-wall, shoppers scouring the racks for the perfect Disney-themed trinkets.
"Oooo look, try this." Mish holds up a pink shirt with Minnie Mouse on it. "It'll look cute on you."
Shar eyes the shirt, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You think so?"
"Girl, I know so. Now go on, get in there and try it on." Mish gently pushes Shar towards the dressing rooms.
Shar takes a hesitant step forward, her eyes scanning the dressing room area. The curtains are drawn back, revealing taken rooms.
"Aw, man. It's all full."
Hugh, holding a couple new shirts, notices her dilemma. "Here, come with me. I’ll sneak you into the men’s dressing room to try in on over there.”
“Oh, okay.”
Without hesitation, he brings her to the dressing room and slips behind one of the drawn curtains, his movements confident. He doesn't hesitate to start trying on his new shirts with her in the dressing room, pulling his shirt off, exposing the toned body beneath.
“Oh…”
Shar's eyes go wide at the sight before her. Hugh's body is a work of art, a landscape of muscle-
But it's the scars that catch her attention. Thin, silvery lines that crisscross his back, a road map of battles fought and won. Even—bullet wounds?!
Alarm bells ring inside her head. "What—what's that?"
Hugh freezes, his shoulders tensing at the question. "It's nothing..." he mutters, his voice tight.
Shar feels her heart twist at the sight of the scars. She reaches out, her fingers brushing the raised skin gently. "Are you sure? It looks painful..."
A beat passes, and Hugh relaxes, a soft sigh escaping him. "It was a long time ago. Water under the bridge."
She gives him a small smile. "Well, I think they're..."
Sexy.
"….Nice," she finishes lamely.
At this, Hugh turns, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Oh yeah? That so love?”
She bites her lip, unsure what to say—her brain stalls with an error screen. "Yeah, like it seems you could…I dunno. Like you’re kinda rough ‘round the edges. Like you…don't hold back…"
He softly touches her chin, tilting her back up. Hugh leans forward, his lips gently brushing against her ear. "You keep teasing me," he whispers. "…you better stop."
Shar swallows, eyes fluttering back on the scars against his abs. "Or else what?"
"Or else…I'll give you what you’re thinking about."
…Oh.
Her heart skips a beat. His eyes lock into hers and suddenly, knees go weak, feeling the warmth of his breath on her neck. A thousand thoughts buzz like hornets in her head, each one louder than the other.
"Hugh—"
Hugh takes a step back, his intense gaze never leaving her. "Try on that shirt," he says, his voice low and husky.
Shar nods, her fingers trembling slightly as she reaches for the hem of her current top. She slowly pulls it over her head, revealing her lacy bra underneath. Her cheeks flush as she feels Hugh's eyes on her.
Just as she's about to reach for the Minnie Mouse shirt, a blood-curdling scream pierces the air, shattering the moment. It's Mish.
"SHAR!"
Hugh quickly pulls on a new shirt and runs out with Shar, both facing a distressed Mish, her face pale, and her eyes round with panic.
“Oh my goodness, it's Tre! He...he..."
"What?" Channing demands, following close behind. "What happened to Tre?"
"That fool done ran off with Oscar! I can't find them anywhere at the front."
Hugh and Shar's face pales. The kids, lost in Downtown Disney…every parent's nightmare.
The group freezes in horror. Mish's eyes dart back and forth, frantically scanning the crowded district. "I just went to check on them, and only Aaron was outside!"
The peaceful evening at Downtown Disney shatters as they all burst out of the World of Disney store, their faces etched with worry. They spot Aaron outside, his head bobbing to an unheard rhythm, completely oblivious to the chaos unfolding around him.
As they approach, they can hear the faint sound of music leaking from Aaron's headphones. Aaron is bopping his head, humming along:
"So grab your stuff and lets all go outside
Bang your head to this tune in your ride
Leavin' all your cares right behind, for the summertime!”
Hugh's face contorts with rage as he storms up to Aaron. "Where are the boys?" he bellows, his voice cutting through the ambient noise of the district.
Aaron, lost in his own world, continues to beatbox, his eyes closed, completely unaware of the growing tension around him.
"Aaron!" Mish shouts, her voice cracking with panic. "Where's Tre?"
Channing, usually cool and collected, paces back and forth, his eyes scanning the crowds frantically. Shar stands frozen, her hand covering her mouth in shock, as she watches the scene unfold.
Hugh, his patience wearing thin, reaches out and yanks the headphones off Aaron's head.
"Where. Are. The. Boys?" he growls, each word dripping with barely contained fury.
Aaron blinks, disoriented by the sudden interruption. He looks around, confusion evident on his face.
"Oh... uh..." he stammers, his eyes darting between the angry faces surrounding him.
Hugh's hand clamps down on Aaron's shoulder, his fingers digging in painfully. Without a word, he drags Aaron away from the group, his face a mask of cold fury.
Once they're out of earshot, Hugh leans in close, his voice low and menacing. "Listen here, noodle arms. If we don't find them in ten minutes…then I'm chopping your hand off this time. Then I'll stab your eye and make you a fucking pirate. Got it?”
Aaron's face pales,. "I-I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean to... I'll help look for them, I swear!"
Pulling Aaron back with him towards the frantic group, he clears his throat, gaining everyone's attention.
"We'll find them," Hugh assures, his voice tight with concern. "Let's split up and search. We'll cover more ground that way."
The group immediately disperses, each dashing in different directions through the crowd. The sun sets, casting an orange hue over the bustling district as they frantically search for the missing boys.
Hugh pushes through the crowds, his heart pounding in his chest, He dodges past shoppers and diners, his eyes scanning every face he passes.
"Oscar!" he calls out. "Tre!"
But there's no response.
Only the hum of conversation and the distant sound of music. The sun continues its descent, the sky painting itself with streaks of purple and orange.
Shar sprints ahead, her eyes wild with worry. Her breath comes in short gasps as she weaves through the sea of people, calling out the boys' names too.
"Oscar! Trevon!"
The vibrant lights of the district twinkle in the growing darkness, a stark contrast to the panic that grips her heart. She rounds a corner, nearly colliding with a group of tourists.
"Sorry!" she calls out, her voice tight with anxiety.
"Tre!" Mish's desperate screams echoes through the night. "My baby!"
Channing dashes through the crowds, his eyes darting everywhere, searching for any sign of the boys. "We'll find them, Mish. Don't worry!"
The group continues their frantic search, their calls echoing through the district. The evening grows darker, the lights of the district twinkling like stars against the orange canvas of the evening.
Suddenly, Hugh's sharp eyes spot something.
A parade.
The music and colorful floats captivate the crowds—people of all ages, cheering, their phones raised to take videos and selfies with the characters.
Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella and Prince Charming—all in romantic outfits. The couples dance and wave to the crowd.
And then…
There, on one of the float platforms, Hugh spots two tiny figures.
Oscar and Tre!
"No," Hugh mutters, his eyes widening. “They’re actually in the parade.”
The rest of the group runs towards the parade too, each person looking at Oscar and Tree in complete disbelief.
Shar face palms herself. “Oscar!!”
Mish puts her hand on her hips. "Get yo ass down now!!!" she screams at the boys, not caring who hears.
Channing skids to a stop beside her, his eyes following her frantic gaze. "Ah, shit. How they even get up there?"
But Hugh doesn't wait. He marches straight into the parade, pushing past costumed characters and confused performers. Mickey, in his big mascot head, tries to stop him but Hugh punches Mickey Mouse away.
Hugh is not messing around tonight.
"Hey, stop!" someone yells. "You can't just—"
But Hugh doesn't listen. He climbs onto the float, his eyes fixed on the two boys.
"Daddy!" Oscar cries, his eyes shining with a mix of delight and fear. "We're in the parade!"
Without a word, Hugh scoops up both boys, one under each arm. He jumps down from the float, ignoring the angry shouts of the parade organizers.
Mish rushes forward, grabbing little Tre into her arms. "Don't you ever do that again!" She gasps. "Ever."
Oscar, in Hugh's arms, pipes up. "But Daddy, I wanted to see the parade!"
Hugh's glares. "Well good for you, now we're going home."
Shar sags with relief, her hand covering her heart. "I can't believe they did that. I thought we lost them."
Hugh turns, his eyes flashing dangerously at Aaron. Aaron secretly runs away, his life spared as guards, three of them, walk towards Hugh, their faces stern.
Mickey, holding his abused head, points a gloved finger at Hugh.
"You punched me,” Mickey Mouse says. “You're coming with us, buddy."
Shar steps forward, her eyes flashing defiantly. "Hey, back off! He didn't do anything wrong!"
The guards exchange glances, clearly unsure how to handle the situation. Mickey's head tilts, almost as if in confusion.
"Ma'am, your boyfriend just assaulted a cast member," one of the guards says, his voice tight with irritation. "We're within our rights to detain him."
Shar's heart pounds in her chest, but she stands her ground. "He was just trying to get his son. There were like, a hundred people around. How else was he supposed to get through? Sorry if Mickey got in the way, but why you trying to press charges?"
The guard's eyes narrow. "Now, see here—"
But Shar cuts him off. "No, you see here! Y'all are trying to ruin a little kid's night. He did nothing wrong! He's five! Have some heart!"
The crowd around them begins to whisper, some even recording on their phones. The guards' expressions darken.
"Let's go." Hugh grabs Shar's hand, whisking her away. "We're leaving, right now."
Mickey's points at them, his gloved hands shaking. "Hey! Stop them!"
The guards spring into action, pushing through the crowd in pursuit.
"This way!" Hugh shouts, pulling Shar down a side alley. Together with the kids, they dash through the bustling district, dodging tourists and shoppers.
"We can't let them catch us!" Shar pants, her heart racing.
Hugh's eyes flash with determination. "We won't."
They turn another corner, their feet pounding on the pavement. The sound of the pursuit fades as they put more distance between them and their pursuers.
"Over here!" Mish calls out, waving them over to where she and Channing are waiting with the kids. "Quick, give 'em to us!"
Without hesitation, Hugh and Shar toss Oscar and the baby stroller to Mish, and runs.
"Watch over them!" Shar calls out, her eyes worried.
Mickey, ears and nose bouncing with every step, leads the parade employees on a chase through the alleys. Hugh and Shar cut through groups of tourists, darting and turning, their hearts pounding as they run. They try and spot the nearest store or ride to hop on, searching for a hide out.
Hugh's mafia instincts kicks in. "There. The ferris wheel."
Shar gasps, running fast as the wind. "O-okay!"
The line is short and they hop on right away. Luckily, they're alone inside the big black-and-red ride; the Ferris wheel slowly begins to move….up, up, up, and away from the chasers.
As they ascend, the lights of the district twinkle below them, a sea of colorful sparks amid the dark canvas of night. Shar's heart pounds in her chest, the adrenaline still coursing through her veins.
Hugh pulls Shar close, his eyes scanning the area below.
"We'll stay here for a bit, make sure they don't follow. Then we'll meet up with Mish and Channing, collect the kids, and get outta here—"
The Ferris wheel comes to a gentle stop, leaving them at the very top, overlooking the dazzling scene below. Shar's eyes widen.
"Oh nah, we're so high..." Her voice trembles, her grip tightening on the metal bar in front of her.
Hugh chuckles softly, a deep rumble that seems to vibrate through her. One hand remains clasped around the bar, while the other gently rests on her thigh. "It's okay, I got you."
Her eyes dart around, taking in the view that seems to stretch on forever. "I-I can't..."
He leans in, his lips brushing her ear as he whispers, "It's all right, baby. Just sit on my lap, you'll feel safer. Go in…sit on my lap.” He pats his jeans.
With a hesitant glance, she nods, shifting to straddle his waist.
As she settles onto his lap, he lets out a low hum. "Taking advantage, huh?"
"Huh?"
Hugh's eyes glitter dangerously in the dim light of the wheel car. "You know exactly what I'm talking about, missy." He tilts his head, his eyes roaming over her face. "All damn day, you've been teasing me."
Shar's gaze drops to her lap, her cheeks flaming. "No..." she whispers.
"Don't play innocent with me." His voice drops an octave, taking on a dark, sensual tone. "I know you were teasing me. The way you ate that ice cream…so eager to undress in the dressing room. And now?”
Hugh shakes his head, lust filling his dark eyes as he eyes Shar’s body. “And now, you're rubbing your ass on me." His hand comes down on her cheek with a soft smack. Shar flinches in surprise.
“H-hugh?!”
"…You want me to fuck this ass, don't you?"
She lets out a startled gasp, her heart pounding in her chest. "T-the only thing I want is to make sure we get both down so the kids can see their..."
She pauses, swallowing between the last word:
“…daddy.”
A slight pause hangs between them, heavy with anticipation. Then, without hesitation, Hugh begins to undo his belt.
"You've been acting all naughty," he says, his voice thick with desire. "Now, I’ll give you what you want."
She bites her lip, her eyes flicking to the door of the Ferris wheel car. "B-but what if the ride starts to come down?!”
"Hm…" He pulls her closer, his lips brushing her ear. "Then it'll come down."
"But—"
He cuts off her protests with a deep, possessive kiss. Greedy. Demanding. His tongue tangos with hers for a moment, before his hand reaches up to grip the back of her neck. Holding her in place, helpless to do anything but accept his movements. His tongue explores her mouth as he tries undoing her pretty little dress.
“Mmph-“
Her heart pounds as his free hand traces the curve of her waist, slipping beneath the fabric to explore her soft skin.
A subtle shift, a hint of metal, and suddenly she feels the cold kiss of a blade against her stomach. She gasps, her eyes flying open.
"You like that, baby?" Hugh whispers, his hot breath fanning her neck. "You like the feel of my knife?"
She can only nod, her breath coming in short gasps as the blade teases her skin, sending shivers through her body. The knife glides downward, slicing through the fabric of her dress with a soft rip.
He growls. "Nothing but lace underneath?"
The delicate lace of her lingerie does little to hide her naked skin. Hugh flicks the ruined fabric aside, exposing her breasts.
She whimpers, her hands clutching at his shoulders, her nails digging into his skin. His tongue teases her, the blade teases her waist, and she's aware of the hard length of him pressing against her.
With a soft chuckle, he pulls away, his eyes glinting with dark desire. "That mouth of yours, baby. It's gonna be the death of me."
Before she can respond, he shifts, smoothly unzipping his jeans before positioning himself at her entrance. She feels him there, hard and insistent, and her eyes flick to his.
"I want you," she breathes, her voice hoarse with need.
"Yeah?" His expression darkens, and with a gentle hand, he pushes inside her. She gasps, her eyes widening at the sensation.
Hugh's eyes narrow, his jaw clenching as he feels the tight embrace of her virgin body. "Oh?" he grunts. "Now you're punishing daddy with this tight cunt?"
Her cheeks flame, and she whimpers, her eyes squeezing shut as he fills her completely. "N-no, I—"
"Shh, baby." His voice is a silken murmur as he begins to move, his thrusts slow and deep. "Don't play innocent. I know what you're doing."
She whimpers again, her nails digging into his shoulders. "I'm not—oh—"
"Play with that cunt, baby," he whispers, his lips brushing her ear. "You better make yourself come on my dick, or I'll play with it. And I won't go gentle. I'll rub that pretty little clit until you squirt every last drop on my cock."
Her cheeks are on fire, but she does as he says, her hands moving to touch herself. Her fingers find her clit, and she circles it gently, her breath coming in short gasps as she adjusts to her trembling fingers.
"That's my girl," he murmurs, his thrusts becoming more urgent. "Fuck, that's tight. So good, baby, so good."
The big Mickey wheel begins to clunk back into motion, slowly turning to give the riders a panorama of the entire district. The soft swaying of the car only adds to their passions, their hips moving in time with the movement.
Shar gasps, her eyes flashing open at the sensation. Her gaze fixes on the door, her heart pounding.
"Hugh, we're moving now—"
But Hugh silences her with another messy kiss, their skin slaps together as Hugh pushes Shar onto the hard ground. Shar moans, her body arching to meet his rough thrusts.
"You like when Daddy's rough?"
With a brutal growl, he shoves into her again, pressing her back against the wall with a force that made her breath catch. Shar gasps, her breath stolen as he used her body like a fuck toy.
It's too much…feels so good…
"Hugh, I—"
"Don't you fucking 'Hugh' me," he snarled, his eyes blazing with a mixture of desire and anger. "You asked for this, wanted Daddy to give it to you hard. Now take it."
The Ferris wheel groaned in protest as the carriage swayed violently, the aging machinery struggling to bear the weight of their passion. It continued its gentle rotation, showing off the dazzling array of colors stretching into the distance.
But neither Hugh nor Shar pay any mind to the stunning view.
Their world has narrowed to the confines of the Ferris wheel car, their bodies fucking in unison.
His strong hand grips her thigh, pulling her leg up to go even deeper. Little, pretty pants of pleasure escape her lips, each thrust rocking her whole body. His scarred chest rubs against her each time, the healed bullet wounds a reminder of his dark past…
Hugh reaches between them, his fingers finding her clit. He teases the sensitive bud, rubbing circles that send sparks of pleasure through her.
"Oooh!" Shar's words dissolve into a desperate moan, her eyes squeezing shut as pleasure explodes through her. Her body trembles, her inner walls clenching and unclenching around his length.
"Open your eyes, baby," he pants. "Wanna see your pretty brown eyes."
No, she can't, not when the pleasure is so intense, drowning out all her senses. Her body is on fire, alive with sensation, and she whimpers, her hands clawing at his back.
"That's it, baby," he growls, his own release building. "Come for Daddy."
Their cries mingle as their passion peaks, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. The Ferris wheel continues its slow rotation, the lights of the district a blur through their passion-hazed eyes.

time loop thursday (is back in action baybe)
blurb | so I read leaks today, like the rest of us depraved leak enjoyers, and uhhhhh. figured we might get our spirits crushed next wednesday, so I might as well make use of the sudden, violent inspiration ch260 brought me (iykyk!!!!!!)
premise | culling games; issa a short one, satoru-centric as this fic is wont to be. I'm coming back to parts I wrote as early as last sept/oct, when I published ch01, and rewriting large chunks of them. I've made a 5k dent of progress in ch02 though, so fear not the rewrites, but anyway here's a mix of old content/new writing
Admittedly, certified expertise on barrier techniques, as well as in the art of temporal/spatial divergence/convergence, knows quite limited use. Even if you’re Gojō Satoru. Which is fine in principal—he didn’t go into either field expecting to come out equipped with one-solves-all abilities.
However, Satoru thinks, annoyance sparking in his gut—supposedly such expertise has a time and a place, like everything. So it sure would be nice if he could make use of said knowledge somehow. Preferably in situations like this one, which features not one, but both concepts at snug interplay. Like, oh, maybe something, anything he’s learned could have served to indicate—to give him a subtle heads up—a trill of anticipation up his spine, a blaring alarm in his ears, Satoru isn’t picky—that this spit-shined, well-crafted barrier in fact auto-employs spatial scrambling on new player entries.
Satoru isn't a fan of stepping through something upright, blink, and realise he’s once again falling, dropping towards the ground ass-over-tits, equilibrium and spatial awareness once again taken out back and point blank-executed.
The first time hadn’t necessarily been of the barrier’s making, however for all its disorienting, space-scrambling likeness, Satoru doesn’t feel like he’s above lumping them together. For all he knows, his looping through space and time and death happens at the mercy of the same cosmic force responsible for the Culling Game.
He sucks his teeth sourly, bullies his limbs as straight as the whipping, tugging, sucking wind will allow, and shoves himself right.
It’s needlessly violent, maybe, to break his trajectory by way of subtracting for Red; pinpointing it downwards and launching it into the ground like a targeted missile. Satoru jerks with the force, is propelled upwards by sheer force. A sharp explosion cuts through the air. He stabilises himself, cushions his feet and the immediate space around him with amplification/reversal. He chances a look downwards.
Smoke and debris rises from a crater like a sharp gash in the concrete below, spiralling as from a pyre upwards on the wind.
Oops, Satoru thinks, and, right, might have to take it a little easy in here.
Surviving the Culling Game (by his own capabilities, anyway) isn’t the problem—keeping his temper in check, however, might be. He’s rarely genuinely angry, nor is he really prideful, per standard definition—to be that, one couldn’t lounge quite so high atop the apex as he innately does—however being incessantly poked and prodded at by external forces he has little to no ability to impact or counter; being constantly impacted and undermined by sheer, helpless (now there's a first time) inability to predict and preemptively act—it’s starting to stake out a space inside him; is slowly coalescing into a permanent root system at his brain stem. He is—not quite helpless, but certainly toothless. Bark, barely any bite.
It’s a startlingly potent buzz in his central nervous system. A severe itch beneath his epidermis. He resists the urge to scratch at a bare forearm.
Touching down on the ground, Satoru feels cursed energy crush down over his senses, potent and physical. Spread out though it may be, the pure concentration of curse inside the colony is impossibly dense; the layer of Infinity he’d purposefully employed before entering the barrier feels bogged down with weight. He’d feel dizzy with it if he weren’t so inherently used to it.
For most people, curse-sensitive or no, cursed energy will bog you down. It will infiltrate the spirit; cover the senses like sticky fly tape; spread insidiously through air, through touch; touch received and touch given—until you succumb to it. Cursed energy functions inherently like a toxin, or a very strong numbing agent, depending on how receptive you are to its effect; how innately weak you are to its effects. Here, at the centre of a Culling Game-colony, it’s heady almost to the touch.
To Satoru, what it is is a prime data scrape. Everywhere he looks, central Sendai—because it is Sendai; he’d gauged his location from enough small landmarks when coming down to land—brims with signature curse. It comes at him from all sides, so much different curse made into one entity, trapped as it is within the barrier, with nowhere to go except together. It rushes at him, ravenous for what he exudes; moths drawn to the Six Eyes’ gas blue flame. It’s unlike what he experienced in the Tomb of the Star; unlike Sukuna-within-Yūji, and Shibuya—this is thousands upon thousands of impressions consolidated into mass and sensation; countless participants within the colony—each with their own unique curse signature, shape and density and dexterity that’s inherent only to its owner.
Most of it is inherently unfamiliar. Satoru tracks curse traces zigzagging across the desolate, smoking-wreckage landscape. Splotchy reds, noisy magentas, sticky tar-blacks. They’re not so familiar, except—
Satoru’s breath stocks in his throat without him meaning for it to. There’s the lone imprint which overlaps others; evenly trod, headed straight, evidently cautious in pursuit—and overwhelmingly present.
It's hot pink, effervescent and glaring. It tracks sloppily, leaks across and into the rest of the standout signatures due only to sheer amount. It’s impressively meticulous. Sadly it doesn’t matter; its owner could reign it in with millimetre precision, could stalk further into the territory as painstakingly as a hunting dog caught on a scent trail, and it still wouldn’t matter for its sheer abundance.
Okkotsu Yūta is a homing beacon—blinding and overwhelming (Satoru’d implored him to work on reigning his cursed energy in, but alas; he supposes he can’t fault him at this point) where he shines a brilliant path through the derelict cityscape.
Satoru stares far down the remains of the closest had been-sidewalk. If he’s too late; if this is a timeline in which Satoru, once again, is too late—Satoru shakes his head. The Okkotsu Yūta of months ago wouldn’t be defeated by anything he can detect within the closest couple of kilometers. Nonetheless, shit happens. And does happen. Time happens, as well—even to the best of them. If it has, then he’s not so late that Yūta’s signature has winked out.
Satoru’s not a man of chance and hope, neither historically nor innately, but death—life-within-death, well, it's a bitch that comes for all. Even the best; even the most caustic and weary. Even the strongest.

My Favorite Albums of 2020
3. Charli XCX, how i’m feeling now
Favorite Tracks: forever | anthems | visions
how i’m feeling now was the first major “quarantine album,” a project made entirely during and about the pandemic. A big draw of this album was following along with Charli’s transparent, DIY creative process which allowed fans to feel like they were lending a hand with the development of the album. This is pretty cool on its own and definitely speaks to the themes of digital connection and isolation, but honestly none of that mattered that much to me. I just love how this album makes me feel.
One of the major aspects of early quarantine was my rapidly developing addiction to both working out and gorging myself on sweets. My life was in a delicate balance between running five miles a day and eating ten Reese’s cups a day. This is what how i’m feeling now sounds like to me: it was like Charli decided to sprint 400 meters but injected herself with fun dip first. It was like she ripped a pixie stick in half and emptied it over her signature “bubblegum pop” for an energetic and addictive 37-minute sugar rush for the ears.
This sound is in huge part to her decision to forego more traditional lush (and arguably more accessible) pop sensibilities and the big-name features heard on her previous album Charli for a more raw, abrasive electronic soundscape. Major credit is due to the producers A.G. Cook, BJ Burton, and Dylan Brady (two of whom have albums previously in this list) who have pushed the acid-meets-poppers electronic sounds of PC music into the forefront of the zeitgeist. While not for everyone, the production lends itself well to the saccharine takes on isolation that Charli has decided to portray. This is most apparent in the bold (and brash) intro of “Pink Diamond,” which would make you think that Charli was about to drop an album for the bodybuilding.com community:
I just wanna go real hard, I just wanna go real hard Pink diamond in the dark - Charli XCX, “pink diamond”
Charli manages to combine the now-lost energy of pregaming with friends before the club with the ever-present energy of lounging at home bored out of your mind; she bides this lost energy like electricity, shooting out tasteful lightning bolts where they’ll invigorate the listener the most. This electricity was not only felt through the music, but literally through the way I accessed it: the rise of virtual concerts that took place in novel, digital spaces like 100 gecs’ Minecraft Square Garden show (that I attended using my sister’s character Chocobunnyxo) or A.G. Cook’s Appleville stream were new ways that I connected with music and artists this year. I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched Charli’s nine minute piano performance of “visions” in her home (and pool); the trend of unique at-home-but-live performances is something I’ve really appreciated this year.
While I enjoy the middle section of chiller songs, the songs exuding a longing for the fun days of the past are the moments on the album that I really connect with. I’m particularly partial to “anthems,” which reminds me of the contrast between the nothingness of living with my parents in Oklahoma to the upward life trajectory and verging-on-problematic amounts of partying I was doing with friends in NYC:
I get existential and so strange I hear no sounds when I’m shouting I just wanna go to parties Up high, wanna feel the heat from all the bodies I want anthems Late nights, my friends, New York (yeah) I sleep, wanna wake up brand new - Charli XCX, “anthems”
All that being said, there are few songs I’ve listened to this year more than Charli’s first how i’m feeling now single, “forever.” I would play “forever” on my daily runs and smile to myself as the intro built up, drenched in sunlight as I grasped for any instance of serotonin offered to me during my blending days at home. “forever” is just pure joy for me, I have no other way to put it.
I know in the future (Love you) We won’t see each other Cold just like December But I will always love you (Love you) I’ll love you forever Yeah, I’ll love you forever - Charli XCX, “forever”
I always misheard these lyrics as “Conscious of December,” representative of the hope that maybe we would be able to see our loved ones in December. I know now that I was wrong: it is cold as I write this in December, but how I’m feeling now is much different from how I was feeling then. I’ve become, like all of us, more accustomed to the way the world works in COVID times compared to the emotional confusion of the spring. However, I’ll never forget how this album electrified me with glimmers of happiness throughout 2020, and I can’t wait for the anthems, the parties, and the late nights with my friends in New York to start again soon.

The Definitive Guide to Buying Residential Property in Edinburgh
When it comes to buying residential property, few cities in the UK offer the charm, history, and investment potential that Edinburgh does. Known for its stunning architecture, rich cultural heritage, and thriving economic scene, Edinburgh has become one of the most sought-after locations for property buyers. Whether you're a first-time homebuyer, an investor, or someone looking to relocate, understanding the ins and outs of buying residential property in Edinburgh is essential. This guide will walk you through the key aspects of the process, helping you make informed decisions every step of the way.
Why Buy Residential Property in Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is a city that offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Its diverse neighbourhoods, excellent transport links, and high-quality education institutions make it a prime location for families, professionals, and students alike. Here are some reasons why buying residential property in Edinburgh is a smart choice:
1. Economic Stability: Edinburgh is home to a strong and stable economy, driven by industries such as finance, education, tourism, and technology. This economic robustness ensures that property values in the city are consistently resilient, making it an attractive option for long-term investment.
2. Cultural and Historical Appeal: The city is steeped in history, with iconic landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, and Holyrood Palace. Living in Edinburgh means being surrounded by centuries of history, art, and culture, which adds immense value to any residential property in the area.
3. Educational Opportunities: Edinburgh is renowned for its prestigious universities and schools, making it an ideal location for families with children or those pursuing higher education. The city’s educational reputation further drives demand for residential properties, particularly in areas close to educational institutions.
4. Quality of Life: Edinburgh consistently ranks high in quality of life indexes due to its excellent public services, healthcare facilities, green spaces, and low crime rates. The city's vibrant cultural scene, restaurants, and events contribute to a dynamic and enjoyable lifestyle.
Understanding the Edinburgh Property Market
Before you begin your property search, it’s important to gain an understanding of the Edinburgh property market. The market is highly competitive, with demand often outstripping supply, particularly in desirable areas. Here's what you need to know:
1. Property Types: Edinburgh offers a variety of property types, from historic Georgian and Victorian townhouses to modern apartments and new-build developments. The type of property you choose will largely depend on your budget, location preference, and lifestyle needs.
2. Price Trends: Property prices in Edinburgh have been on a steady upward trajectory, driven by demand from both local and international buyers. As of 2024, average property prices in the city centre and popular suburbs can vary significantly, so it’s important to set a realistic budget and be prepared to act quickly when a suitable property comes onto the market.
3. Popular Areas: Some of the most sought-after areas in Edinburgh include the New Town, with its elegant Georgian architecture; Morningside, known for its leafy streets and excellent schools; and Leith, a vibrant area with a mix of modern developments and historic properties. Each neighbourhood offers something unique, so it’s worth exploring different areas to find the one that best suits your needs.
The Buying Process: Step by Step
Buying residential property in Edinburgh involves several key steps. Understanding each stage of the process will help ensure a smooth and successful purchase.
1. Set Your Budget: Determine your budget early on, taking into account not only the purchase price but also additional costs such as legal fees, taxes, and potential renovation expenses. It’s advisable to get a mortgage pre-approval if you’re financing the purchase, as this will give you a clear idea of how much you can afford.
2. Engage a Solicitor: In Scotland, a solicitor plays a crucial role in the property buying process. They will handle all legal aspects of the purchase, including submitting offers, conducting property searches, and overseeing the transfer of ownership. Choosing an experienced solicitor familiar with the Edinburgh market is essential.
3. Start Your Property Search: With your budget in place and a solicitor engaged, you can begin your property search. Utilize online property portals, attend open houses, and engage local estate agents to find properties that meet your criteria. Given the competitive nature of the Edinburgh market, it's important to stay proactive and flexible.
4. Submitting an Offer: Once you've found a property you’re interested in, your solicitor will help you submit an offer. In Scotland, real estate listings frequently feature an "offers over" price, indicating that prospective buyers may need to submit bids exceeding the listed price to successfully acquire the property. The seller has the option to accept, decline, or negotiate your offer.
5. Concluding the Missives: If your offer is accepted, the next step is concluding the missives, which is the exchange of formal letters between your solicitor and the seller’s solicitor. This process finalizes the terms of the sale. Once the missives are concluded, both parties are legally bound to complete the transaction.
6. Property Survey: Before finalizing the purchase, it’s wise to have a property survey conducted. This will highlight any potential issues with the property, such as structural concerns or required repairs, allowing you to make an informed decision about proceeding with the purchase.
7. Finalizing the Purchase: On the agreed completion date, your solicitor will arrange for the transfer of funds, and you will receive the keys to your new property. At this point, the property is officially yours, and you can move in or begin any planned renovations.
Tips for Buying Property in Edinburgh
To ensure a successful property purchase in Edinburgh, consider the following tips:
1. Research the Market: Stay informed about current market conditions, including average property prices, demand trends, and any upcoming developments in your preferred area. This will help you make strategic decisions when placing offers.
2. Be Prepared to Move Quickly: The Edinburgh property market is fast-paced, with desirable properties often selling quickly. Being prepared with financing and having a solicitor ready to act will give you a competitive edge.
3. Consider Future Growth: Look for areas in Edinburgh that are on the rise, such as those with planned infrastructure improvements or new developments. Buying in an up-and-coming neighbourhood can yield strong returns on investment over time.
4. Think Long-Term: Whether you’re buying as an investment or a long-term residence, consider how the property will meet your needs in the years to come. Think about factors such as family growth, proximity to schools, and potential resale value.
Conclusion
Buying residential property in Edinburgh is an exciting venture that offers both lifestyle benefits and investment potential. With its rich history, vibrant culture, and strong economy, Edinburgh is a city that appeals to a wide range of buyers. By understanding the local property market, following the correct legal processes, and staying informed throughout the buying journey, you can successfully navigate the Edinburgh property market and secure a home that meets your needs and aspirations.

So, take the plunge and start your journey toward owning a piece of this remarkable city.
