Listen I absolutely adore Elena, but it's absolutely insane to me how she was okay with murdering Kol, knowing that would kill hundreds of vampires who did absolutely nothing to her, for a cure that sounded straight out of a fairytale.

{Kol Mikaelson x F!Reader} Request {@perseephoneee}: AGAHWHWN KINKTOBER IS HERE YOU SLUTS!! now you know me so I shall be requesting kol with either size kink or first time!! mwah 💋
♡♡♡ Ahhh! I love you @perseephoneee! And you can have both size kink and first time ~xoxox ♡♡♡
2.6k words - Kinks: this one is super romantic and sappy, first time, size kink & a picnic date...
It was a warm summer evening, with the sky painted in a beautiful mix of dark blue, purple, and orange. Your boyfriend, Kol, was taking you to a meadow where the two of you could have a picnic and enjoy the scenery. It felt like something out of a dream, and you couldn't be happier to be spending time with him.
When you arrived, Kol spread out a large blanket for the two of you to sit on. He placed a wicker basket full of food in the center. "This is all for you, sweetheart."
You sat down, crossing your legs as Kol joined you. You looked at the assortment of foods he'd brought and smiled when you noticed some of your favorites. Picking up a chocolate-covered strawberry, you took a slow bite, savoring the sweetness. A soft moan escaped your lips as the rich chocolate melted in your mouth.
"You didn't have to do all this for me, Kol," you said, your voice soft with appreciation as you took another bite.
"Nonsense," he responded with a charming grin, his eyes twinkling in the fading sunlight. "A girl like you deserves the world."
You couldn’t help but smile at his words. Kol had always been a charmer, but his compliments still made you feel warm inside. He had a way of making you feel like the most special person in the world, and tonight was no different.
"Here, have some wine." He handed you a glass, which you accepted with a grateful smile.
You sipped the wine, feeling the warmth of the alcohol mixed with the evening air. As you nibbled on more food, the conversation flowed easily between you. You were surprised to find out that Kol enjoyed horror movies, something you hadn’t expected. When you told him about your love for romcoms, he grinned.
"Don't worry, darling, I'll keep the monsters away from you," he teased.
You giggled, giving him a playful nudge. "You don’t have to do that. I can protect myself, you know."
"I'm sure you can," he said, his voice softening as his arm wrapped around you. "But let me be your hero."
You leaned into his touch, the warmth of his body soothing and familiar. The meadow was growing darker, the soft buzz of crickets filling the air, and the glow of fireflies flickering around you, adding to the romance of the evening.
As the sun set completely, the two of you lay back on the blanket, staring up at the stars, your fingers intertwined. The sky above was like a dark canvas, dotted with glimmering lights. Your heart skipped a beat when you spotted a shooting star streak across the sky.
"Look, there's a shooting star!" you exclaimed, pointing excitedly.
Kol followed your gaze, a smile tugging at his lips. "Make a wish, darling."
You closed your eyes, silently making a wish before opening them again. When you looked over at Kol, he was watching you with a soft, almost reverent expression, his gaze filled with something that made your heart race.
"What did you wish for?" he asked, his voice low.
You chuckled softly, shaking your head. "I can't tell you, or it won't come true."
Kol smirked playfully. "Fine, keep your secrets," he teased, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to your temple.
As the evening deepened, Kol’s lips began to trail down your neck, leaving soft, teasing kisses that sent shivers through you. You could feel the tension building between you, a tension that had been simmering all night. His kisses were gentle, but there was an urgency beneath them that made your pulse quicken.
The two of you had never gone all the way before, though you had shared intimate moments. Kol had always been respectful, never pushing you for more than you were ready to give. But tonight felt different. Tonight, you felt ready. You wanted him, and you wanted him in every way.
Your hand slid down his chest, feeling the muscles under his shirt as your fingers trailed down to his belt. Kol’s kisses paused as he pulled back to look at you, his eyes filled with concern.
"Are you sure, love?" he asked, his voice gentle. "We don’t have to do anything. I can wait as long as you need."
Your heart swelled at the care in his voice, but the need inside you was undeniable. You bit your lip and nodded, your voice barely above a whisper. "I'm ready. I want this. I want you."
Kol’s gaze softened, his eyes filled with adoration. For a moment, he simply stared at you, as if trying to memorize every detail of your face. Then he kissed you again, this time with more passion, more fire. His lips moved against yours with a hunger that sent sparks through your entire body.
You let your hand drift lower, brushing against the hard length of him through his pants. Kol chuckled softly against your lips, pulling back just enough to speak.
"Not too fast, darling," he said with a smirk, before going back to kissing you. He started undressing you slowly, his hands lingering over each new bit of skin he revealed.
The air was getting colder, but the heat between the two of you kept you warm. Once you were fully undressed, you felt self-conscious about your body, and tried to cover yourself up. You had never been exposed in front of anyone like this before.
He gave you an understanding look and kissed you again, his lips soft and reassuring. He leaned back and pulled out another blanket from the basket, covering the both of you. "There, now we'll stay nice and warm."
You blushed and let your arms fall, allowing him to take in the sight of you. You were still nervous, but his gaze filled you with a strange sort of confidence.
He continued trailing kisses down your neck and across your collarbone. You sighed softly, closing your eyes as his hands caressed your bare skin. Your hands roamed over his back, tracing the lines of his muscles.
You felt his fingers brush against your entrance, sending a shiver through your body. Kol gently stroked you, his movements slow and careful, his fingers moving in teasing circles.
"Tell me if it's too much," he whispered, his breath warm against your skin.
You nodded, a quiet moan escaping your lips as his fingers dipped inside you. He took his time, working you open, his mouth continuing its trail of kisses. His fingers were so much bigger than yours, and they filled you in a way you hadn't experienced before.
He smiled against your neck, his tongue tracing the shell of your ear. "How does it feel, darling?"
"G-good," you managed to gasp out, your eyes squeezing shut.
He continued his slow exploration, his fingers moving deeper. Your body trembled as you felt your orgasm building. Your breath came in ragged gasps, your heart racing.
Suddenly, his fingers pulled out of you and you let out a small noise of protest, your eyes fluttering open. Kol smirked, his eyes filled with mischief, before he dipped his head under the blanket.
"Kol, what are you -" your question was cut off as his tongue flicked against your clit, sending a jolt of pleasure through your body.
"Oh, god," you moaned, your fingers tangling in his hair as his tongue licked and teased, his fingers slipping back inside you. You couldn't think, could only feel.
The blanket on top of you was suddenly too warm and restrictive, and you yanked it off the both of you. He looked up at you, his dark eyes full of desire. He smirked against you, his lips curling up in a smug grin.
"What's wrong, love?" he asked, his voice a teasing rumble. "Getting too hot?"
You let out a breathy laugh, your fingers tightening in his hair, pushing his face closer. His tongue returned to your clit, and a groan escaped your lips.
"Oh, fuck," you whimpered, your body tensing as your orgasm drew closer. Kol seemed to sense this, and he doubled his efforts, his fingers moving faster and his tongue swirling around your clit.
The tension in your body snapped and you cried out, your hips bucking involuntarily as the pleasure washed over you. Kol kept licking and sucking, prolonging the sensation. Your vision blurred and you collapsed back onto the blanket, panting.
"Wow," you gasped, staring up at the starry sky, your body humming with pleasure.
Kol grinned and crawled back up, hovering over you, his eyes roaming over your face. "You are a vision, darling."
You blushed, pulling him down for a kiss, tasting yourself on his lips. Your body was already aching for more, and you could feel his hardness pressed against your thigh.
His kisses were gentle and tender, and it felt as if he were worshiping your lips with his. He didn't want to rush you, and the slowness was driving you crazy. You could feel yourself growing impatient, your need for him intensifying.
"Kol," you whispered, your fingers digging into his shoulders. "I want you."
He pulled back, his eyes filled with uncertainty. "Are you sure, love? I don't want to hurt you."
You nodded, your hand sliding down his chest to his belt, finally freeing his cock from its confines. He let out a groan as you began stroking him, your touch feather-light.
His eyes fell closed, his forehead resting against yours, his breath hot against your skin. "Fuck," he whispered, his voice strained. "You're going to be the death of me."
"Then I guess you better fuck me," you replied, a teasing smirk on your face.
"Such a crude word from such a pretty mouth," he said, his own mouth curling up into a smirk.
He moved down and guided himself inside you, pushing past the slight resistance. Your body was still sensitive from your previous orgasm, and the new sensation sent waves of pleasure through you.
He was big, much bigger than his fingers, and he stretched you in a way that was almost too much, but not quite. You were still relaxed and wet from before, and it helped ease the pressure as he filled you completely.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice low and strained.
All you could do was nod, your body adjusting to his size. He held still, giving you a moment to get used to him, his eyes watching yours intently.
You reached up and kissed him, wrapping your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Your legs wrapped around his waist, urging him to move. He pulled back slightly, then thrust forward, drawing a gasp from your lips.
The feeling was intense, but not painful, and it sent sparks of pleasure through your body. He did it again, this time a little harder, his movements slow and deliberate.
"Yes," you moaned, your head falling back.
His movements became faster and more urgent, his breathing ragged. He leaned down, his mouth capturing yours in a hungry kiss, his tongue slipping past your lips.
You met his movements with your own, your bodies moving in sync, your nails digging into his shoulders. Your body was on fire, every nerve ending tingling, and the coil of pleasure within you grew tighter with every thrust.
He kissed along your jaw, his teeth grazing your skin, his hands gripping your hips. His rhythm became erratic, and you could tell he was close, trying to hold back for you.
"Kol, I'm going to-" Your words were cut off by a cry as your second orgasm hit, your body shuddering beneath his.
Kol groaned, his fingers digging into your hips as he followed you over the edge. He collapsed against you, his forehead pressed against yours, both of you panting.
You couldn't believe how good it felt to be this close to someone, to have their body joined with yours. He was so sweet and considerate and you felt so lucky to have him be your first. You could hardly contain the amount of affection and love you had for him.
Kol lifted his head and pressed a soft kiss to your lips, his eyes filled with emotion. He brushed a strand of hair from your face, a tender smile playing on his lips. You were shivering slightly from the cold and the thin layer of sweat that coated your bodies.
"Here, darling," he said, wrapping the blanket around the two of you, "let's get you warm."
He laid down beside you and pulled you into his arms, the warmth of his body chasing away the chill in the air. You snuggled against him, your head resting on his chest, his heartbeat a steady drum beneath your ear.
"So, what did you wish for earlier?" he asked, a teasing glint in his eyes.
"You," you replied, leaning up and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I wished for you."
His eyes softened, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. You had no idea how precious your heart was, and how far he would go to protect it. You were everything to him, and he would cherish you until the end of time.
"I'm glad it came true," he whispered, holding you tighter.
The two of you lay there for a while, just enjoying each other's presence. The air was getting cooler, and the crickets were beginning to quiet down. Soon, the only sound was the faint rustle of the trees in the wind.
You closed your eyes, the sound lulling you to sleep. The last thing you heard was a soft whisper in your ear.
"Sleep well, darling. I love you."

TVDU and forced parenthood
I don't know if it is because Julie Plec didn't understand parenthood or just didn't care, but almost every character has a messed up relationship with the idea of parenthood.
Starting with Rebekah, whose entire identity becomes about being a mother. When she is first introduced, she behaves like an immature teenager with almost no maternal instincts or desires. But it quickly shifts in TO to focus on her desire to have a child. I am completely fine with a woman wanting to have children, but she never gave a real reason to want it. Just this general idea that she had always desired it. I get she likely would have been thinking about it when she was human since, during their human period, women tended to have children in their teen years and it was what all women did. But throughout her 1,000 years, we never see her seek that relationship with anyone. She briefly develops a protective relationship with April and then Davina, but they are easily pushed aside. She even abandons her relationship with Hope multiple times. It never seemed to me that she wanted to be a parent, rather wanted a baby.
This is even more obvious by the fact that Klaus 'adopts' Marcel. Rebekah could have adopted a child, or taken in someone throughout her long life. Now, it could have been that she feared Klaus would be angry and jealous, but this story is never shown. In fact, Klaus seems fine with Rebekah training Marcel, even after he was jealous of Elijah teaching him.
Speaking of Marcel, this whole storyline was problematic. The Mikaelsons take in this boy and then make him feel indebted to them. I've seen people argue that they didn't adopt Marcel, but rather took him in as a ward. Either way you look at it, Marcel was a child and deserved to be treated like one and not some trophy (a lot of white saviorism happening). I do think Elijah wanted to raise Marcel as a son but Klaus wouldn't let him. So instead, Klaus raises him as a friend which created a complicated relationship. I also hate how you can clearly see the difference in how Hope is protected versus how Marcel was raised. Whether it's sexist or racist or just based on him not being their biological family, it's problematic.
And then there is Hope. Hayley will always be my favorite parent in TVDU. Even when she was young and overwhelmed, you could tell her thoughts and actions were all about protecting Hope. Yes, some things she did weren't the smartest plan, but she was also a scared 20-something-year-old trying to survive against enemies that were 1000x her age. She risked her life repeatedly for her daughter and would sacrifice anything for Hope to be safe and happy. She was the one character I felt truly understood what it meant to be a parent.
I always get in trouble when I criticize Klaus as a parent, but he was a narcissistic parent for 90% of the show and that honestly needs its own post.
It's not surprising the Mikaelsons don't know how to be parents. Mikael wanted to train them to be warriors and Esther had a similar feel to Rebekah, that she wanted babies but didn't know how to be a mother. I know Esther and Mikael likely had their own childhood traumas, but that's another conversation.
I liked that Kol and Davina never discussed children. Davina was young and Kol never expressed desires to be a father. Not everyone needs to want to have children. To me, Elijah was the only Mikaelson sibling who expressed a deeper interest in being a parent. Yet, he still didn't understand the full extent. He essentially acted like a parent to his siblings but ended up just having messed up relationships with each of them. He wanted to step in with Marcel and even Hope. I like to think he learned his lesson from Marcel and fought harder for Hope, but again, the whole family just fought harder for Hope.
I also think Freya having a child makes sense, but Vincent being the father had me baffled. He hated Elijah for what he did to Davina until Elijah died, but forgave Freya for her role? Not only forgave her but decided to help continue the Mikaelson line. I just find it hard to believe that he would have agreed to help. But Julie wanted to expand the Mikaelsons and then do nothing with it I guess.
Even in TVD, this idea that everyone wants to be a parent is pushed. Again, yes some people do, but not everyone needs to want children.
I understood Jo, Alaric, and even Stefan's desire to have children. This need to protect and care for others was built into them. We see Alaric (before his character sucked) basically adopt Elena and Jeremy. Jo was always protective of her siblings and loved caring for others so much she became a doctor. Stefan just always had this paternal need to take care of others in my opinion. I even see this with Elena and Bonnie. (Also the fact that Bonnie's future is never mentioned -- we hear about everyone else but what was Bonnie up to in Legacies??)
But Caroline and Damon having children made no sense to me. Caroline had dreams of a career and seemed adventurous, but then was forced into pregnancy at what 23 years old while she was still in school? Yes, we see she gets to become a journalist, but in Legacies we don't hear anything about her life or career. She isn't even there as a mother. Caroline's character basically disappears.
Damon never expressed a desire for children that I can remember. He enjoyed his vampire life and I can't see him giving it up to be a mortal, stay-at-home dad.
There are a lot of problems with the show, Friends, but one thing I've always loved is how they show the different pathways to parenthood. Pheobe is a surrogate for her brother, Monica adopts, and Rachel is a single mother. There isn't one way to be a parent, as long as you always put the children's safety and happiness first.
TVDU could have learned a thing about it. For a show that loved to randomly have a found family trope, it was also ready to throw it out the window the second biological family showed up. That's not how found families work, they are family through and through.
Also, and I cannot say this enough, not everyone needs to want to have children. Even women.

Tyler vs Klaus
It's Been a Hot minute since I've been on tumblr so imma choose violence with this post bc the hypocrisy will always be crazy to me.
So it's OK for Klaus to harm Caroline knowing his hybrid bite would kill a vampire but when Tyler simply shows his werewolf face he's worse than Klaus. I really wanna break down the comparison of them both regarding their situations with Caroline bc from Tyler's pov Caroline as betrayed him on multiple occasions while Klaus has harmed Caroline unprovoked.
1st Tyler situation: Masons Death
Caroline spent a good chunk of season 2 building a new bond with Tyler; gaining his trust when he became a Werewolf. So much so that she even tells Tyler that a Werewolf bite could kill a vampire after she finds that out from Damon. Tyler then finds out from Jules that Caroline was lying to him about knowing who killed Mason (HIS UNCLE) and when confronting Caroline about how she's broken his trust he pushes her against a car and you can see his werewolf side start to takeover but it doesn't. Why? Bc he knows that biting her would kill her. Tyler was able to control himself while being a new werewolf so that he didn't kill Caroilne after she betrayed him but Tyler's the bad guy bc he pushed her against a car. REALLY???? And even after Jules and her friend had Caroline in that cage even if he did hesitate for a second he still took her out and even left Mystic Falls with jules bc he didn't want to harm anyone. He only Came back bc he found out his mother was in the hospital; Why? bc of Klaus.
2nd Tyler situation: Caroline sleeping with Klaus
Once again a betrayal on Caroline's part to Tyler. Tyler spent most of their relationship in competition with Klaus bc of Klaus. Klaus used Tyler's sirebond against him so Tyler left Mystic Falls turning over 100 times and almost dying so he can be free and enjoy his relationship with Caroline. Klaus Killed Tyler's mother and Caroline knew how much pain that put Tyler in bc she was there comforting him at his mother's memorial while he cried in her arms. Then after they broke up Caroline had sex with Klaus and Caroline's once again in conflict with Tyler. Tyler finds out She slept with Klaus and instead of respecting Tyler's wishes to leave him alone Caroline continued to push him to his point of rage showing werewolf side once again. Not attacking her tho. Some would say it was bc Stefan stopped him but I don't believe Tyler would of harmed her to begin with bc if he was able to control his werewolf side when he just started his journey after Caroline betrayed him before why wouldn't he be able to again. But most stans don't see that and instead resort to saying that Tyler's abusive and he had no reason to he mad when they know that if the roles were reversed and Tyler did something like that to Caroline they would freak in rage. What's even worse is that after some time died down and Tyler was still in his feelings Caroline tells him to get over her sleeping with Klaus and Said that she wasn't going to continue to feel bad for what she did.
That was so girl boss you are Caroline. 😐
Now let's get to Klaus,
1st Kluas situation: Bite number 1
Klaus used Tyler's sirebond against him and forced him to bite Caroline on her birthday so he could then save Caroline to seem like some hero. Mind you Caroline has done nothing to Klaus to deserve being put through that pain.
2nd Klaus situation: bite number 2
After Kol is killed and Klaus is locked in the Gilbert house he bites Caroline and stabs her with a lamp after she told him she didn't want to be with him (something he already knew bc she's told him on multiple occasions she didn't want him).
These are 2 situations of Caroline doing little to nothing to Klaus but Klaus harms Caroline knowing he would kill her but he's not held to the same standard as Tyler. He not abusive but Tyler is?
Make it make sense
Tyler has never bitten Caroline. In fact in situations of rage stemming from Caroline betrayals to Tyler he has managed to control himself both times bc he knows that he could kill Caroilne; But he's the bad guy for showing even an ounce of deserved rage to Caroline after she backstabs him. How is Tyler showing Caroline his werewolf face after she does him dirt worse than Klaus purposely biting Caroline while knowing he could kill her?
Either we not watching the same show or Stan's are just letting their biased views cloud their judgment.
And I thinks it's the 2nd option 👀

Our little game pt. 5
Pairing: Klaus Mikaelson x witch! reader Summary: Klaus is making a major, huge mistake of his life, for which you are paying the price. Will you be able to forgive him? Or maybe it's too late for everything. Warning(s): angst, talk about death, Klaus fights and suffers because of Mikael, family drama, blood, violence, curses, I used some famous lines from TVD and TO Word count: 6,9k
Third person's POV | 2 hours earlier
The original hybrid left the party in a hurry, loosening his tie as he practically ran towards the parking lot. His younger brother was right behind him, barely catching up with him.
"Nik! Wait a minute!" Kol screamed, grabbing his brother's elbow and stopping him halfway. He completely ignored his hostile, stern look and continued. "We need to think it over."
"All we need to do is get rid of him from our lives once and for all!"
"We can't do it alone. We need Freya…"
"Freya will never stand against him! We're on our own unless you're a coward." the man cut him off, yanking his arm out of his grip.
"Well, let's at least take Elijah…"
"I'm not going to ruin our brother's wedding day! I already killed him once; I can do it again. We have to hurry before he calls for backup. Will you help me, or should I rely on myself?" Kol sighed as he studied his brother's determined face. If they had attacked out of the blue, they might have been able to defeat him together while he was still weakened.
"All right. But we're keeping Davina out of it."
"As well as Y/N." they nodded to each other and walked hand in hand towards the parking lot.
Klaus had to do it quietly. His little witch needed a break, and a fight with the Mikaelsons' psychopathic father wouldn't help her at all (or convince the woman to stay in New Orleans much longer than she planned). Elijah deserved a respite from his problems, and so did Rebekah. Nor could he rely on Freya's strength and power forever. After all, she wasn't immortal like them; she had her limits like any witch. Kol and he had to deal with it on their own. For everyone's sake.
"Do you even know how he managed to get back to the surface of the earth? I thought you killed him for good last time."
"Believe me, I'm just as surprised as you are."
"You think it's the mother's work? She has regained her powers and is resurrecting all our enemies from the other side?"
"You tell me. You spent a few months there before we finally begged your witch to help us bring you back. What were our parents' moods?"
"You know, I tried not to get too close to them. But I met your father; he's actually a nice guy."
"What did you say?" he asked in shock, staring at his brother in pure surprise.
"Yeah, I was surprised too when he saved me from Mikael and introduced himself as your dad. We had a bit of a fight at first, but he turned out to be a good guy."
"You met… my father."
"Maybe it's not a good time, but I think you should know that. If he somehow magically appears here, and I'm pretty sure he'll do it; he's said many times that he'll get the fuck out of here as soon as he gets a chance, you shouldn't hurt him. Hope deserves at least one normal grandpa. Ansel would be a good fit for this; he was babbling about her all the time, and my head was bursting as he raved about her. You know I love her, but how much can you talk about a baby? Hey? Nik?" he shook his brother's shoulder as he sat silently in the driver's seat, not bothering to start the car.
"How did he know about Hope?"
"He's been keeping an eye on you since… you know. He probably knows everything about you, which is actually as scary as it is cute."
Klaus continued to listen to Kol's story in silence. As he drove the car, he pondered the new message. His father watched over him.
His real father.
The one who supposedly abandoned him and didn't care for him...
Could that be true?
Could he believe it?
Allowing himself to live a boyish fantasy of having a father who truly cares for him? He could believe that Esther would be able to lie to him about his real father's feelings toward him, and it was hardly possible that Kol could be so cruel. So, could Klaus have been so lucky after all?
Could he have had the love of his true father, the beloved daughter who was the light in his dark life, and the love and devotion of a woman he wanted more than anything in this world?
Could Klaus, after so many years of pain, sorrow, and fury, be given such enormous blessings?
He found out a few hours later.
He found out a few hours later, when he and Kol were returning as fast as they could to their family after Mikael nearly killed them two. However, it wasn't just the two of them in the car on their way back...
~•♤♤♤•~
"Father! Come, come wherever you are!"
It was supposed to go fast and smoothly. Klaus was supposed to act as bait (after arguing with Kol for several hours, they played paper, rock, scissors, and he lost… 10 times), and Kol was meant to heroically step in with a white oak stake and try to kill their father.
Piece of cake. Nothing possible could go wrong.
But it did. Very, very quickly.
They underestimated Mikael's ability to win people over. While Klaus was able to single-handedly take down his father's band of minions and come out of the fight uninjured, the fight against Mikael proved to be more of a challenge. Especially since he had a bit of an advantage over them...
"You're alone, boy? Did your siblings finally abandon you?"
"Don't worry about them. I don't need anyone else to help me send you back to hell."
"Very courage from your side to assume you can kill me all alone. Or stupid. I think the second one suits you much better. You didn't change at all, Niklaus. Thousand years, and you're still a quick-tempered, impulsive boy seeking the approval of others. I guess you've never learned from your mistakes. But it's even better for me. It'll be so easy to finally end your miserable life."
"Thousand years of trying, and you were never close enough. What makes you sure this time will be different?"
"This time, I know your weakness." Klaus' heart stopped for a moment in fear. He couldn't talk about Hope. His daughter was safe with Hayley, the pack, surrounded by Freya and Y/N with all sorts of protective spells.
"I don't have any."
"Don't you?" he looked at him carefully with a sinister smirk on his lips. "Then let me remind you. The blonde one, powerful witch you've met not so long ago. Y/N, right? Her blood must taste ambrosial with such magic running through her veins. She would make such a beautiful corpse, don't you think? "Klaus' composure dropped to zero, and his and Kol's plan went to hell. No one will threaten his witch, especially Mikael.
Without thinking, he lunged at the man, trying to punch him in the face. Mikael braced for his outburst, grabbed his fist, and twisted his arm. Klaus shouted, twisting his hand out of his grip, and pushing him to the boxes behind him. Mikael staggered, trying to regain his balance. The hybrid took advantage of this by throwing a metal rod at him and speeding towards him with the intention of snapping his neck. The older man grabbed the object flying towards him, pierced Klaus' side, and pushed, sending him crashing to the floor.
Klaus pulled the metal out of his body, but the wound on his side wouldn't heal. Suddenly he felt as if his whole body was on fire; every nerve in his body shot through with unimaginable pain. He felt as if his mother had put a curse on him, cutting him off from his werewolf side.
Suddenly, a circle of fire formed around him, and none other than the mother of the originals emerged from the shadows, muttering a familiar spell that began the 1,000-year search for the doppelgänger and the moonstone. Panic rose in him, along with the pain he felt.
NO! He couldn't go through it again!
"Who'll fight for you now, boy?!" Mikael shouted, walking slowly over to him and pulling a white oak stake from his coat pocket, patiently waiting for his wife to finish her spell and get rid of her unwanted son from their lives once and for all.
"I will." Kol stepped out of the shadows, pushing his father away from the circle where his older brother was trapped. Mikael laughed, looking at his son with contempt.
"I was wondering which of you would come to rescue this abomination. I never expected you'd be the first one to protect him. Wasn't he the one who locked you in a coffin for centuries? Will you defend him after what he did to you? You know best of all what he's capable of. Don't you want revenge? To see him suffer for all his sins against you? Join us, my son. Let's do justice to him together."
"Forgive me, father. I'm not on the retirement team." Mikael's smirk fell, and an ominous, dark look returned in its place.
"So you will watch your failure."
Mikael threw himself at his son in an instant, overpowering him. He turned his back to him and clamped his hand around his neck, forcing him to watch as his brother writhed on the floor in pain, occasionally getting close enough to the fire to sear him. Kol shuddered.
"In a moment, your mother will finish reciting the spell, and your treacherous brother will become nothing but a vampire again, and then... I will pierce him through before your eyes, son, so that you will remember once and for all how those who oppose me end up. Maybe then you'll join us."
"I'd rather die." Kol growled, trying to wriggle out of his father's grip.
"So you will."
And then, when everything seemed over for the two siblings and all hope of survival was lost, the appearance of one person changed the fate of the originals.
Suddenly, a wooden bolt shot out of the darkness of the building and pierced Esther's stomach, causing her to break her spell. The woman fell to the floor, screaming. Another wooden stake flew towards Mikael, who was forced to let go of Kol and catch the flying piece of wood before it hit him.
Klaus stopped shaking in pain, taking quick, heavy breaths. He used his remaining strength to look at his savior.
It couldn't be true…
"Get away from my son!"
Ansel jumped off the container, falling right in front of Klaus and shielding him with his own body. He held his crossbow high, aiming it at an angry Mikael. Kol stood beside him, handing him a white oak stake, which Mikael dropped and took out their weapons himself.
"I've already killed you once!"
"And I can already tell you that this time the ending will be different. Now, get out of here, or I will skin you for what you have done to MY SON."
"What can you do to me?! I'm a vampire, the original! Some weak werewolf can't kill me!"
"Be careful. That weak werewolf has many friends, and some of them..." Mikael and Esther cried out in pain as they fell to their knees on the floor. "Are very powerful witches. Touch my son again, and I'll kill you right away, without a blink. But for all of this, you've already done to him..." more bolts fired from his crossbow, wounding the parents of the originals. Most of them were aimed at the seething with anger Mikael.
"Kol. Take your brother out. I'll join you in a second."
"Are you sure, old man?"
"Yes. Just give me a few seconds." Kol nodded uncertainly to him, not wanting to leave Ansel alone with his parents at all. But the younger original carefully took his exhausted brother into his arms and carried him outside at vampire speed.
The werewolf took a few steps towards the kneeling two, firing the few bolts he had left at the man. Esther screamed shrilly beside them as the witches continued to torture her with their magic.
"I'll make sure you suffer in ways even your cruel, psychopathic mind can't imagine and believe me... a thousand years on the other side teaches great creativity and patience, Mikael." Ansel drove one of the stakes through Esther's heart and watched with satisfaction as the woman who had kept his only son away from him fell to the floor dead. "He'll suffer one more time because of you, and I'll make sure you don't get any peace even on the other side. I hope you understand."
"This whore of his will die before he gets to her! You won't protect him from that."
"We'll see. Again, please!" Mikael howled louder in pain as the witches strengthened their attack. Ansel smiled slightly.
Ansel left the warehouse, leaving the vampire writhing in pain behind him. He had more important things on his mind than torturing him. His son needed him, and he wasn't going to spend a single minute doing anything other than helping him.
After all, family was the most important thing. For always and forever.

Kol drove the car, watching the two men in the back seat in the mirror. Ansel told him to get back to their siblings as soon as possible, especially Y/N.
The original had already learned on the other side that it was better to follow his orders. Ansel usually knew what he was doing, and after saving Kol countless times, he had the younger vampire's full trust.
Klaus could be a little more like him.
"What are you laughing at there, jester?" Ansel asked, looking up from his sleeping son and noticing the smirk on Mikaelson's face.
"Don't get offended, but he is nothing like you."
"I know, and I'm proud of him. He's his own person."
"Elijah will be delighted when you tell him that. Another believer in Nik's redemption."
"He is my son. Of course I believe in him and want the best for him." Kol's face morosed as he remembered how, just an hour ago, his father had tried to kill him and nearly ended his brother's life. "Don't make such a face. He is not your father. No father would make his child suffer. He doesn't deserve your attention, thoughts, or anything."
"But he's right about one thing. We are monsters."
"No. You're all lost. You may be a thousand years old, but really you are like children who have not been taught how to be adults. You know no other way to deal with your emotions than to succumb to this bloodlust. The worst of all is that you've allowed yourselves to be told that you are monsters when everything you do is out of your will to survive or strong feelings."
"A living ticking time bomb, eh?"
"If that's what you want to call it." Ansel murmured, shifting his gaze to his only son. Kol glanced at the two men in a car mirror.
Klaus will be damn surprised to see such a caring and tender look in his biological father's eyes. But he deserved it. After everything Miakel and Esther had put him through—what they all went through because of their parents—they deserved a normal, healthy relationship.
Kol would give anything to have someone like a werewolf for a dad.
"He needs you. Don't fuck it up." instead of admitting this childish desire to himself, he decided to warn Klaus' father.
"I'm not going to waste my chance, Kol. This is rarely: to come back from the other side."
"I'm still going to keep my eye on you. Especially around Hope."
"I would expect nothing less from you."
"Good. Wake up our princess. We're almost there."
~•♤♤♤•~
They expected it to be hard. Some hidden group of vampires and witches ready to attack at any moment, maybe a few deadly traps await them.
They wouldn't have expected the house to go up in flames. Vampires didn't usually die from fire... but humans did.
Klaus got out of the car the moment he saw the burning building. He didn't care that Kol hadn't stopped the car yet or that his newly found father was sitting right next to him.
All the original hybrid had on his mind was getting to Y/N as fast as he could.
He screamed her name and ran like a madman through the collapsing house. She had to be around here somewhere, unless she evacuated. The man did not allow even the slightest thought that his beloved could be trapped in the building, dead from the fire. He had to find her, lock her in a safe place, defeat Mikael, and return to his love, only to finally reveal his feelings to her and keep her with him where she belonged. There was no other way out of this situation.
However, Klaus, despite his best efforts, found someone completely different.
Katherine Pierce-Mikaelson lay unconscious among the collapsing ruins of the hall. Klaus stopped. Dark thoughts flooded his mind. How easy it would be to leave her here once and for all and let some stray plank fall and pierce her stoned heart. He shook his head.
Whether he wanted it or not, she was part of the family now. And he never left them behind. (Also, Y/N wouldn't approve of him leaving her friend to die. Elijah wouldn't be too pleased either.)
He took her in his arms and carried her out of the building. He laid her down on the grass, checking to see if she was injured.
"NIKLAUS! KATERINA!" Klaus raised his head, turning his gaze to his brother, who was running towards them. "Is she okay?! Where is Kol?! KOL?!" the elder brother rushed home after making sure his wife and Klaus were okay.
The hybrid caught up with him and grabbed his jacket, stopping him from entering the building.
"He is fine. Have you seen Y/N?" Elijah fell silent, looking away from his younger brother. Klaus grabbed him by the shoulders and forced him to look into his eyes. "WHERE IS Y/N?!" he shouted, shaking him.
"Niklaus..." the hybrid didn't even bother to listen to him.
He let go of the lapels of his jacket and ran towards the collapsing building, but before he could get close to the fire, his brother caught him. Klaus tried to break free from his grip. They both fell to the ground, fighting until the younger original snapped the older's neck.
"NIK!" his sister's scream stopped him from going home again, he ran towards her. Rage and fear shone in his eyes.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" he shouted at the jittery blonde. He had to get to Y/N, and his sister's tearful, devastated face didn't show she was safe. His anxiety and panic only increased as he searched Rebekah's eyes for any answer.
"She... she is in our house." Klaus had never felt such need and blissful relief flood him so quickly. Unfortunately, it left him as fast as it came. "She is in transition."
The original froze. He felt as if the whole world stopped around him for a moment. The one thing Klaus wasn't sure how Y/N would take in their (then very likely) future relationship was her possible transformation into a vampire. Now that it was actually happening, Klaus worried what his beloved's reaction would be.
"What? But... how?"
"Our father's minions attacked the building. Elijah and I managed to escape in time and evacuate Freya. Katherine was supposed to join us with Y/N, but they never showed up. We went back into the building and found her with a metal rod in her chest. We thought she was dead, but Freya did some weird tricks on her, and it turned out she had vampire blood in her system. Your blood, Nik. I'm so sorry."
"They attacked Katerina. They snapped her neck when she tried to help Y/N. We need to find them and Mikael. They will die for what they did." he growled, preparing a very savage plan of attack in his head.
He would destroy those who hurt his love. They will be begging him to send them to hell quickly.
"Klaus! You knew that, right? That our father returned. Is that why you disappeared with Kol? You went to kill him on your own and you lost. You provoked him, so now it's our fault that Y/N is dead."
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY PLANS WERE!" he shouted furiously. Rebekah had no right to say that when all he was doing was trying to protect Y/N and his family.
"THAT'S THE PROBLEM, NIK, IT'S ALWAYS YOUR PLANS AND NEVER OURS! And now Y/N is dead and it's all your fault!"
"SHE'S NOT DEAD! SHE WILL BE WITH US FOREVER AFTER TURNING INTO A VAMPIRE!"
"SHE WILL NEVER FEED!"
Her sudden statement restored complete silence, broken only by the sound of the burning house. Klaus quickly came to the conclusion that the sound of the fire burning in the fireplace, instead of bringing him relief and peace as before, would become the cause of his anxiety, a memory of the fear and horror he felt today. Another trauma for the collection.
"What?"
"She won't be one of us. She will die, Nik, and you will have the blood on your hands of the only person who has ever truly loved you."
"YOU'RE LIAR! SHE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME!" he shouted, feeling the tears start to gather dangerously in his eyes.
"Are you sure?"
Klaus screamed, rushing furiously at his sister, but a strong hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Be calm, son. Don't do something you'll regret. We'll go in turn. We'll kill Miakel first and then deal with Y/N, right?"
"And who the bloody hell are you?" Rebekah asked, eyeing the newcomer suspiciously. Especially when her brother hadn't ripped his arm off or maimed him after he touched him.
"Rebekah, this is my father... Rebekah!" Klaus screamed as the blonde vampire walked over to the older man and slapped him across the face.
"It's okay, Niklaus. I think I deserved it." Ansel groaned in pain, clutching his sore cheek.
"What do you want from him?" she growled, shielding her brother from him with her body. The Mikaelsons' experience had taught them to be careful in their dealings with their parents. They didn't have a very good experience. Klaus, on the other hand, rolled his eyes at his sister's protectiveness. If Ansel wanted to hurt him, he would have done so long ago; he certainly wouldn't have saved him from the clutches of death. Which didn't mean he trusted his father. He would have to deserve it and prove his good intentions to the sibling.
"I want to protect him. He's my son."
Klaus' heart beat faster. His son. It had been a long time since anyone had said that about him (he doubted he'd ever heard those words spoken with such pride and feeling). After all, Klaus wasn't made of stone. He could pretend his father's attitude didn't bother him, but he guessed they all knew how it affected the cruel hybrid. But before their big family meeting about Ansel could take place, they had to defeat their parents. And nothing unites and strengthens family bonds like hunting down their enemies.
"I threw the newlyweds in the car! If you've finished this dramatic scene, get your ass to the car before we all burn up from this fire, behind you, idiots!"
Maybe Klaus would have taken his father into the family after all. He would make a great replacement for his annoying little brother...

Y/N's POV
I groaned as I slowly began to regain consciousness.
My head was bursting like hell, my throat felt like a desert, and the lights of the New Orelan lanterns that flooded into the room blinded me, causing me additional pain.
I felt like I had a huge, unforgettable hangover.
However, I don't remember much from last night. I guess I got drunk at the wedding faster than I thought and ended up in Klaus' bedroom again. At least he cleaned up after our recent… activities.
I slowly got out of bed. The world seemed to spin in my head. I closed my eyes, trying to compose myself. Suddenly, I heard an awfully loud jazz band playing in the streets of New Orleans. I swallowed, wondering who normal plays at night under other people's windows.
Someone entered the house with a bang, slamming the door mercilessly behind them. I hissed, clutching my throbbing head in pain. I've never had such a big hangover in my life.
Klaus came in covered in blood. Instantly, I felt the excitement flooding into my body, and my tongue moved to wet my chapped lips. I felt hotter in the room. My god, I fucked him only 24 hours ago, I couldn't be such a whore to him.
"Y/N." he sighed, standing stunned in the doorway. Well, he probably wasn't expecting me in his bedroom again.
"After all the noise outside, I can tell you didn't get rid of those musicians after all. Who did you fight? And please don't tell me it was Elijah." I asked, trying to control my sudden and unexpected turning on by the hybrid in the blood. Fucking hormones before a period.
"Noise?"
"Do not change the subject. With your super-hearing, there's no way you can't hear it." the man gave me a concerned look as he approached me. "Okay, I'm starting to worry. What happened to you?"
"Y/N..." he whispered, reaching for me, but I took a step away from him and wrinkled my nose.
"There's no way I'm letting you hug me or even touch me when you're covered in blood. Know my good heart, I'll clean you." I made a familiar flick of my wrist, but to my surprise, nothing happened… my magic didn't even move in my veins. I tried again, but nothing happened. I transferred my annoyed, hostile gaze to the original. What right did he have to lock me up in his house and block access to my magic?! "What the hell have you done to my magic?! Why did you keep it from me?! What kind of game are you playing right now?!"
"Y/N, I need you to calm down..."
"DON'T TOUCH ME! What did you do to me?! Why can't I feel my power?!"
"I'm so sorry, love."
"No… you can't just imply that… No." I shook my head in disbelief, unable to accept what he was trying to tell me. He must have been making cruel fun of me. But his painful, worried expression indicated otherwise.
"You're in a transition, Y/N."
"No, no, no. I can't! I didn't even drink a vampire's blood or die!"
"You drank from me last night, and today at the wedding, my father's minions disrupted the party. They started a fire and…"
"NO! You're lying! I can't be a vampire!"
"Y/N, please just listen to me..." he took a step towards me, but I backed away from him in panic, afraid to be so close to the man covered in blood... I could smell the wonderful, intoxicating smell of the red liquid on him.
"DON'T come closer. It is impossible. Are you playing some sick game, or is that some fucking plan of yours? A way to get me stuck here?"
"You think I'd stoop so low that I could do something like that to you? One of the few people I care about more than myself?!"
"You tell me. I don't know you."
"Do you really want to argue the same thing over and over again? When do we both know the truth?"
"I'm in transition, I'm scared, I'm angry, and I feel like my whole body is on fire with pain, and you're still able to bring everything back to our fucked-up relationship? You are an unbelievable narcistic psycho."
"Well, I know a very simple solution to your problems." he walked over to his desk and opened a drawer, leaving a bloodstain on the wood. He turned back to me, tossing me a bag of blood. "Drink."
"Are you crazy?! I'm not going to turn into that bloodthirsty thing that you are!"
"I've never heard such a beautiful compliment, love. Now. Drink. Before I pour it down your throat."
"You can't fucking make me!" I screamed, throwing a bag against the wall, which wasn't a good idea at all as its contents started to run down the wall, creating a small puddle on the floor. My gums involuntarily itched. My stomach rumbled as the delicious smell of fresh blood hit my nostrils.
I closed my eyes, sighing as I tried to control the overwhelming hunger. Klaus took advantage of my moment of weakness, coming over to me and enclosing me in a tight, strong hug. The smell of blood that covered him attacked my senses.
It was funny how his arms were both the only place that could bring me peace and make me fearful of the inner need caused by the vampire blood in my system.
"I can see how you are struggling and how persistently you are trying to overcome it. But why fight it? Why when you can get so much? Have you ever thought about the benefits of being a vampire? Your lovely, pretty face will never age a day, being able to dazzle others with its unimaginable beauty forever. All human diseases and ailments will disappear. You will be able to enjoy eternal life, discovering the mysteries and wonders of this world, even if not with me by your side, then with someone who will worship you until the end of this world. All you have to do is drink some blood and let us take care of you until you learn to control yourself. Is that such a big price to pay for eternal life?" he let me pull away from him a little so I could look into his eyes as he held me tight, desperately trying to convince me to stay alive.
"Who said it would be a happy life? That I'll learn to control myself and not go crazy or become a ripper? That I won't come back covered in the innocent blood of humans every night like you?"
"I must admit I'm a little offended, but I won't blame you for making such vicious accusations against me." he said it in such a tone that I laughed involuntarily, bringing a tender smile to his face. He could always make me laugh, even in the darkest of times. "It's the blood of Mikael and his minions; they definitely weren't innocent, love. Besides, I know you. You will not attack an ordinary man for your own pleasure. And even if you want to, I'll make sure you don't do anything stupid."
I got out of his grip, walking away from him to a safe distance. I might have been in transition, but of the two of us, the man was still the more impetuous. His reaction to my final decision may vary, and I prefer not to risk an untimely death by suffocation.
Besides, Klaus would never forgive himself for that.
"I can't, Nik. I won't feed." his calm facade dropped, and the desperation in his eyes and fear became more evident.
"Y/N just listen to me..."
"It seems like the only fair way out, you know? I helped you plan that stupid wedding; now, at least, you can return the favor by giving me a big, epic funeral."
"Don't even joke like that."
"You know, when Bonnie became sort of an anchor for dead supernaturals to find their way to peace or whatever it is, I couldn't believe at first that the dead actually went somewhere. It seems logical that after you've lived so many years with all these super powers, you just… die. No special effects, no second life, or another reality where there are other dead people. Now, I wish I believed in an afterlife, but I just don't buy this peace story."
"Vampirism is by definition an afterlife."
"I'd rather go into the unknown than live in pain." as if on cue, a sudden, painful spasm seized the left half of my body, causing me to double up... I thought I was beginning to decay from the inside out.
Klaus was near me in no time, holding me up. Fear and despair were painted on his face so clearly that I had to look away from him to chase away the remorse.
"The longer you wait, the more you'll suffer."
"Yeah. I think it's better this way. I mean, look at me. I'm gonna make a super-hot corpse. Perfect for an open casket..."
"Y/N."
"I want a huge party. Everyone has to drink themselves into oblivion and reminisce about all the happy times, funny jokes, or God knows what else. And don't let Kol officiate my funeral, because he'll definitely bring up that stupid story about drunk me flirting with you in a wedding dress or that you were my last fu..."
"STOP IT!" he shouted, interrupting me."I'll not entertain this kind of talk any longer. You must feed. I need you." he growled, glaring at me madly as if that had ever impressed me or worked on me.
He wanted a furious lovers quarrel? Here we go, I'll give him a fucking, last argument.
"This is not about you, this is about me! I liked who I was! I've spent my entire life being that exact version of myself! Years of hard practice and experimentation with my magic went for nothing. I'm nothing! I will never be who I used to be. It is better if I die as someone I'm proud of than live as someone I despise!"
"NO! It is better to live a flawed life than to waste it rotting in clay!"
"But that's not your decision to make." I whispered with tears in my eyes.
He thought I wanted to die? Leaving the love of my life when our story was just beginning? That I didn't want that fucking fairytale ending where the princess got her prince charming?
But I was never a Cinderella, and Klaus was no cut-off to be a prince on a white horse. And we had to accept this.
"Y/N..."
"I HAVE NOTHING, KLAUS! Without my magic, I am a meaningless shell of my former self. I will always be just a shadow of the person I used to be, unable to cast even the simplest spell or feel the fucking energy of plants! My immortal life will be one big void that nothing can fill!" I walked over to him, taking his hands. I didn't want him to leave. Since I was about to die, I didn't want to do it alone. But I knew full well that he wouldn't stay with me to watch me die, because if I were in his place, I wouldn't be able to watch him go away forever either. "I don't want to live like this, Nik. I can't stand such a pain, and certainly nothing is worth it."
"If you want to go back to the arms of death so badly, I won't stop you. I only hope the bugs will eat your rotten body soon, love." he growled, pulling his hand out of my grip, and he stormed out of the room.
"Klaus! Wait!" I shouted after him, trying to take a step towards the door, but I was too weak to move. I slumped to the ground, letting all my heightened emotions come to light and burst into tears as I listened as the hybrid left the house, slamming the door angrily.
This wasn't how it was all supposed to be.
Everything was meant to fall into place after the wedding, but my life was coming to an inexorable end, and my epic true love left me alone and ran away, hurt by my refusal to accept eternal life by his side.
Suddenly, I felt arms pull me into a comforting, firm embrace as someone began to stroke my hair reassuringly. I looked up. It was Klaus' father.
Klaus told me about it several times and even showed me one of the most traumatic memories for him—finding his biological father, pierced through and through by Mikael's sword. I spent half the night with him then, trying to distract his mind from his memories about his true origin.
Apparently, Ansel must have returned with the parents of the originals. He must have trusted him to let him into his mansion.
"All right. He will calm down a bit and come back to you, darling. He will not waste the last hours with his beloved on pointless wandering in anger around the city."
"I... don't want to hurt him. I just can't... I... was never supposed to become... It's all so fucked up." I sobbed, letting Ansel move me to Klaus' bed, so we were sitting next to each other.
"Try to understand him. The love of his life is dying, and while he could shove blood down your throat and save you, he can't do anything without your permission. He's powerless, and that's one of the few feelings my son doesn't take well."
"I don't think I can do it, Ansel. I don't want to be a vampire, but… I want him to be okay. He finally has some happiness and peace in his life, and I'm taking that away from him, making him unhappy again. If only I could turn back time and…"
"And do what? Never met him?"
"That would be best for him and his family."
"I think my son knows what's best for him. And I think..." he got out of bed, rolled up the carpet to get to the floorboards, and pulled out one board. He put his hand into the hole and pulled out a huge bundle of papers. He put everything back in its place and came over to me, handing me the package. "He discovered it himself a long time ago."
"What is it?" I asked, wiping tears from my cheeks, and (after wiping my hands on my dress) I took it from him.
"Something for you. Ah, these postmen! They always lose something or don't deliver it on time, don't they? I'll leave you with that for a while. I'll make sure you have some privacy." Klaus' father went out of the room, closing a door behind him.
A werewolf left me with the strange envelopes alone.
I looked at them distrustfully, not certain if I really wanted to open them. But my innate curiosity made me ask myself one important question all the time.
What was in them?
With trembling hands, I opened the first sealed envelope.
I'd recognize Klaus' practiced, beautiful handwriting anywhere. It's been haunting me since he sent me an invitation to Mikaelson's ball. After every little note he gave me, I could tell I was an expert at his refined handwriting. Thanks to this little obsession, after the first glance at the letter, I knew it was written by him.
Y/N, I have to admit, I'm a little offended that you're not answering my calls. Are you so busy with Mystic Falls stuff that you don't have time for old friends? It'd be nice to know you're alive, Klaus
My malicious witch, my nuisance, It's really awful of you to torment my poor soul. What have I done to deserve such a cold shoulder? Have your little friends turned you against me? If Rebekah and Katherine deserve weekly video calls, what do I have to do to have the honor of hearing your irritating voice? Stop with that attitude, or I'll show up in this musty hole myself, Klaus
A thorn in my side, a waking nightmare, I see you're ignoring me on purpose. I have to admit, I didn't expect such a game from you, but here you go. Want to play games? Expect me to be a willing participant. Let the best win, Klaus
My stupid little witch, Heretics will no longer bother you. Do not thank me. Put your life in danger for these morons one more time, and you will know my wrath, Klaus
My little tormentor, Have you cast a spell on me to think about you every night? Does this possession make me see you everywhere I go, only to be disappointed when I reach a person who is not you? Is this another one of your new tricks? Making me miss you awake and asleep? I swear I'll draw you into your own trap, Klaus
My lovely witch and the sweet bane of my existence, You win. I love you. Truly, madly, deeply. I dare you to come to me and get your price. Yours, Klaus
If it was possible, I cried more than before. Why now? Why didn't I find all these letters sooner? If only I had known about the letters sooner, now at least I would have had something to remember on the other side.
But the most important question was, did I really want to go to the other side, now?

Day 26 “Don’t lie to me.”
| Rage | Choke | Paranoia |
Second to last fill for @juneofdoom
Klaus arrives too late to the Gilbert house, as he's forced to face the death of a brother .
Back to Taste of Sin, follows on from Part one
Still Set TVD Season 4 Episode 12
-------
He smells it before he arrives, smoke and ash.
‘It's too late’ the horrifying realisation hits Klaus when he gets to the open Gilbert door, white Oak dagger in his pocket to find the Gilbert siblings standing over a burnt body, white Oak stake still in his heart.
He was going to deal with Kol, how dare they-
Another little brother dead because Klaus was too slow, too slow getting Henrik away from the wolves, too slow for Kol, he had planned to dagger him, keep out of the way until the cure business was dealt with.
Like he had every other time Kol started being a danger to himself, he didn't like doing it locking his wild brother away but he was for his own good.
And now he was gone, Klaus had failed him.
“What did you do?” he forced the words out, easier to sink into rage than grief, ignoring the burning in his eyes, he'd mourn Kol properly later when he dealt with his killers.
“It was an accident, we didn't-” Elena tried, but her voice only stoked his anger
“Don’t lie to me,” he snarled, the aching in his throat from his rage not the growing sorrow “you planned this.”
“It's not-” she tried again,
“He never would've gotten inside if you hadn't set a trap for him.” he spat the words at her cutting off whatever excuse she had, his little brother was lured in and killed, alone. Without his family, he shouldn't have let them leave, let them split up, Elijah would never have let this happen.
Oh.
He was going to have to tell Elijah, who already could barely face him.
“No, Klaus, you don't understand.” he ignored her again, nothing his little brother’s murders said mattered other than their dying screams. He sighed looking at the house they were protected, but only as long as they stayed within it.
“I'm going to burn this house to the ground.” he promised, “And then, when you try to flee for your lives, I'll kill you both without blinking.”
“You kill us, you'll never get to the cure. You'll never be able to make any more hybrids.” The little hunter warned and Klaus for a moment re-evaluate his plan, killing Him would leave him dealing with the curse again but perhaps it was deserved for failing Kol and it would be one way to bring Elijah back to him.
“You really think I care for an instant about my bloody hybrids?” he snapped, “I want the cure so I can destroy it. I would've killed you all the second we dug it up, but now I'm just gonna watch you burn instead.”
He barely finished his words before pain hit him forcing him to his knees.
The Bennet witch walked pass him but he didn’t care, not even to question why she told the Gilberts to ‘Invite him in’ he just had to kill them.
“Come in.” the boy said the word he was waiting for.
The witch‘s magic trip him over the threshold
“Living room. Go!” she shouts as he starts to push himself up, when he freezes.
Falling into the house had brought him closer to the body, close enough to notice what he hadn’t before.
That wasn't Kol.
Rage vanishes into confusion, horror and fear, a deep fear of the unknown because that couldn’t be-
“‘Lijah?” He speaks without meaning to the name escaping him but it sounds too much like a child as his mind refuses it to accept it, making his thoughts stall.
The witch's hold on him vanished but Klaus didn't really notice, his body frozen on its own from the growing disbelief and horror.
The body was burnt, almost unrecognisable but Klaus could tell his brothers apart.
A life of watching out for Kol and just watching Elijah make it instinctual, he doesn't need the tattered and charred remains of a suit Kol would only wear if forced to make it clear.
That wasn’t Kol.
Wasn’t his wild reckless little brother.
In a way he had been prepared to lose Kol, since he had taken the lost of his magic and their new existence and become even more reckless.
But it couldn’t be, no, it wasn’t-
Elijah was smart, fast, strong, skilled and not dead.
He couldn’t be dead.
Klaus had never lived without Elijah being somewhere, never existed in a world without his always caring big brother.
So the body on the floor couldn’t be-
Elijah, Elijah, ELIJAH.
It was a trick.
Had to be.
This wasn’t real.
“This is a trick,” he snarls, tearing his eyes from the body to look up at the witch, “make me see one brother in the place of another.”
But she looked confused, smart enough to not take her eyes from him, but clearly unaware of any of it. She had no need of a trick; she already had hold of him the sensible part of his mind that suddenly sounded like Elijah reminded him.
Why? Why Elijah? The one that was always trying to protect them, to temper his worse. He can’t be gone.
“How?” he ignores the almost break in his voice.
“I thought he’d stop it.” The little hunter explains, sounding confused by it himself.
Klaus could almost imagine it, his brother speaking to them, he just always had to talk, to offer them a chance, the stake taking him by surprise, his brother’s shock as he died.
Died alone, without the family he had worked for so long to protect, to be reunited with.
“He wanted to believe in the best of people, of humans, idealising what we lost.” He admitted, seething rage burning his throat, as he forced him up off the floor “I should have stopped him, made him see.”
He had tried but never completely, grasping at it himself, to Elijah's belief in the best to people, because as long as Elijah believed that then he stayed with Klaus in hopes of Klaus' own redemption.
It was never meant to cost Elijah his life, they were meant to be immortal, he hadn't learnt anything from Finn's death.
He was the oldest, fear shot through him at the realisation, he who led Henrik to his death and joined into Kol’s fun always expecting Elijah to clean it all up.
“I'll make up for that mistake by leaving pieces of your corpses around the town.”
“Klaus you have to understand I never wanted Elijah to be hurt.” The doppelganger swears and Klaus could admit it might be true, his brother was charming, kind and good, the girl wouldn't have stood a chance, and he always had a weak spot for them, ghosts of Tatia.
The thought of them had never made him more sick than now, had Elijah's last moments been looking at the image of his first love watching him die, that she used the image to lure him to his death.
He thought Katarina had been the danger, not sweet innocent Elena.
Elijah was dead, the world was wrong and broken.
He stalked after them, he hadn't felt a rage like this since he woke after the five to find his brothers daggered for the first time.
Any hesitation about killing the hunter had vanished, he'd take the curse again, none of them could be left alive there- this whole town had cost him too much already.
Maybe one of the hallucinations would be Elijah, he could still speak to his brother. He’d take cruel vile words over nothing, a few more years before he had to face a world without his voice.
Oh he had wasted time the last couple of decades, running from Elijah, taunting him because Elijah could never have given up on him. He had pushed it but they were meant to have time for Elijah to calm down to return to Klaus' side.
Like they always did.
Hitting the barrier came as a surprise, but he doesn’t let it stop him as he throws himself at the invisible wall.
Hitting it means he doesn’t have to think about it, about who the body was that the hunter pulls the stake from, the doppelganger slowly backs away from it with fear and almost confusion like she couldn’t understand.
He was going to kill the hunter first so she would understand the pain of losing a brother, maybe he'd kill them all before her; the salvatore brothers, the Donovan boy, find Tyler, drag him back to tear him apart, make her watch as he killed everyone she loved before he left her to rot.
“Witch,” he warned, “you can't do this to me.”
“You have no idea what I can do now.” she replied, he would have laughed if he had more of himself but most of him was howling is grief.
“I will hunt all of you to your end!” he threatened, it was a promise he was immortal no matter where they ran and hid, he was going to kill them, Katarina had only lived as long because Elijah had distracted him from his search when he truly tried in the early days.
“Elijah was the only thing that ever held me back, what do you think i’ll do to you all without him. Do you hear me!” he screamed.
Klaus roars as they leave, beating his fists against the barrier, clinging to his rage to escape the growing horror and despair at the idea of his brother gone, his lodestone’s absence.
How was he meant to exist without Elijah?

In the book I'm writing on Wattpad about The Vampire Diaries, I'm writing fanfiction not only because I really love the show but because I want to give the characters who were mistreated better treatment.
For example, Bonnie.
When I first found out that Kat Graham was denied the right to wear her natural hair on the show, my heart broke for her. She was forced to wear those ugly ass wigs that ended up damaging her real hair, and that got me so mad because her hair is so beautiful. And they didn't even have her wear bonnets to bed like come on 🙄
Also, where was Bonnie during the Mikaelson Ball? Why wasn't she there? I'll tell you why. Because the writers refused to allow her to dress up like the other female characters. Having Bonnie at the Mikaelson Ball made more sense plot wise because of her ancestor's relationship with the Mikaelsons, but I'm gonna talk about that another time. The writers had Bonnie attend school dances instead to hide their dislike toward her and the actress.
And don't get me started on Bonnie's pathetic love interests. That guy she flirted with early season two died right in front of her. Jeremy cheated on her. She made flirtatious eye contact with Kol, but that lasted like five seconds, and the two never interacted again. And while she had Enzo, he was taken from her so soon.
You better believe that Bonnie's gonna have an EPIC ROMANCE in my book. SHE'S GONNA ATTEND ALL THE DANCES AND ALL THE PARTIES. SHE'S GONNA HAVE THE HAIRSTYLES SHE SHOULD HAVE HAD. And the Bennett family is gonna have A LOT more importance in my book because, in my opinion, there wouldn't even be a TVDU without the Bennett witches.
Another example, Caroline.
YOU BETTER BELIEVE SHE'S GONNA GET THE JUSTICE SHE DESERVED AFTER WHAT DEMON SALVAWHORE DID TO HER SEASON 1. That shit isn't gonna get glossed over. Not in my story.
And how can I forget Finn? Listen I'm gonna forget the shit he pulled in TO cause I don't consider that show canon. TVD stopped making sense in the later episodes of season four. I understand Finn. I understand why he sided with his mom. Should he have attempted to kill his siblings? No. But I get it. His younger brother locked him in a coffin for nine hundred years and forgot about him. He became a VAMPIRE and was forced to feed on people to survive. And lots of fans like to leave him out of Mikaelson Family Edits so I get his anger and frustration.
I get it.
Okay, I'm done ranting. I have class in thirty seconds, um, go read my book it's really good. I'm updating again really soon.
See you next time 🥰

klaus mikaelson loves you even though you're in a relationship with damon salvatore hcs (like you did with kol)
A/N hope this is ok
Klaus Mikaelson being in love with you despite you being in a relationship with Damon Salvatore
☆ Klaus is extremely possessive of the people he loves so having to deal with Damon Salvatore makes him absolutely murderous
☆ Everyone knows that Klaus is in love with you and to your horror even your boyfriend of 2 years wants you to seduce Klaus in some plot to kill him.
☆ Damon assures you that it wouldn't mean anything if you slept with him to lower his defences. You had always kind of known that Damon was fond of Elena but you'd always pushed those jealous to the side assuming he just cared about his brother's happiness.
☆ But a boyfriend that loves you would not ask you to do this especially seeing how uncomfortable you were with it. And you had never had the urge to cheat but that's exactly what he was asking you to do and he didn't care.
☆ Suddenly you found yourself wishing maybe you were with Klaus, you couldn't see him ever using you as bait. If his protectiveness of his siblings was anything to go by then he'd never let you be put in danger.
☆ To make things even worse all of your friends agreed with Damon, Bonnie and Caroline thought you were being selfish, that it was just one night it didn't have to mean anything. Didn't they understand you weren't that kind of girl and you didn't want to hurt Klaus, why would you? He had done nothing but make sure that you were safe even when he had quarrels with the salvatores.
☆ So he wanted Elena's blood to make hybrids. Yes she was your friend but she wasn't very smart she could literally just donate blood every week and Klaus would be happy. Were you the only one who didn't see him as this awful person?
☆This awful big bad wolf everyone spoke of would leave you beautiful sketches on the bar for you to find after getting off a long shift. How was that evil? He promised you that you deserved more than this town could ever give you and offered you the world.
☆ But you remained loyal because that's the kind of girl you are and they had the audacity to ask this of you??
☆After a particularly nasty argument with your boyfriend about his plan you storm out. Walking away from the boarding house, just trying to be anywhere but there.
☆Klaus sees you crying and immediately pulls his car over and makes his brother Kol move to the backseat.
☆"Whats wrong love?"
"I just need to get out of this town"
☆He can help you with that, and his eyes stare at you with such concern that you don't hesitate to climb in. Unlike any sane person being in the same car as to Originals isn't terrifying to you. You actually finally feel like you can breathe again free from the pressure that Damon was putting you under.
☆You can tell he wants to know what happened but he doesn't push unlike his nosy brother in the backseat. You decide to tell them the truth because you just don't have the energy to lie.
☆Kol looks at you solemnly before asking Klaus to stop the car and jumps out. You hope he won't kill anyone but maybe Damon's just gone too far this time.
☆Klaus doesn't speak for the whole ride to his mansion opting instead to give you a grim smile and holding your hand. You finally felt peace.
☆Maybe you would take him up on his offer, it wasn't like anyone would care.
☆"Is New Orleans still on the table?" You ask him quietly
☆ Despite his anger at Damon Salvatore he just smiles and kisses your hand before making a u-turn to pick up Kol.
☆New Orleans was his city and soon it will be yours.

I’m about to be cheeky and ask whether we could have a sneak peek of the next chapter of the Wolf????? Or am I being too rude in asking that 😂.
Hi, nonnie! No, it's not rude at all!
I got this part out of the opening scene of the chapter, but I have to warn you that I am yet to review or edit anything, so it might change a little bit yet.
It's Caroline and Kol having a rather spiky heart to heart. I hope you like it! 🥲
---
"I was wondering when you'd come out."
Caroline sighs. Of course, Kol would know she was there. She wonders what it means that he didn't tell the others. Maybe he was trying to spare her, or maybe he just didn't want her presence to overshadow a moment that should be entirely about Davina. Either way, she's grateful.
"I almost didn't. Wasn't sure I should even be here, to be honest."
"Where are your loyal wardens?" he asks flatly. "Don't tell me they're so overcome with guilt after condemning an innocent girl to hell that they couldn't indulge in a bit of gloom. It's their favorite kind of party."
"Klaus wanted to come," Caroline admits. "But I told him not to. Didn't think it would be wise."
Kol huffs out a weak snort. "Since when does he care about being wise?"
"He doesn't," she replies. "But I do."
"Right. And he always listens to you." He pauses. "It must be nice to have family who gives a damn about what you think."
Caroline's jaw sets. She lets her eyes focus on the elegantly carved letters of Davina's name on the headstone. It's beautiful, but rough. Not a lot of details, no quotes or messages about her being a good friend, a loving girlfriend. Feels hurried. Unfinished. Less than she deserved.
"I hated Davina when she tried to Klaus," she says after a moment, words tumbling out of her mouth without consent before she can give them a second thought. "I didn't hate, hate her. Not really. But in that moment, while she was there screaming her spell from the top of her lungs, saying that he'd lived long enough… I hated her then. She didn't really care whether he survived that whole thing or not. She wanted to get you back and she was willing to sacrifice whatever it took to do it."
"What are you on about?" Kol turns to her, a sharp edge to his voice. "Nik didn't die."
"Because Marcel betrayed her, and Stefan and I let an unstoppable huntress with a magic stone loose in the city to create enough diversion that could have backfired in so many ways, just so we could stop it. And then I killed Aya with my bare hands before she could have the chance to try again, and took back the white oak bullet she was going to use to test the effectiveness of Davina's de-linking spell,” she lists. “If that sounds like a too long and complicated combination, it's because it was. It took a village for Klaus to get out of that place alive, and if any of those things had failed, he wouldn't be here right now. And even then, Davina still managed to break his sire line, which made him vulnerable, including to Lucien, who was then free to threaten him and everyone else at will, because his life was no longer tethered to Klaus'." Kol's expression darkens. If looks could kill, Caroline would probably drop dead right there and then. But still, she keeps going. "She knew what she was doing, she knew the consequences, and she didn't care because getting you back meant more to her than Klaus' life."
"I wonder why," Kol hisses. "You talk as if Nik hadn't given her extraordinarily strong reasons to have such disregard for his well-being."
"I'm not questioning that, Kol. Klaus is… Klaus. Whenever someone tells me they hate him, I just assume they have a good reason. It's usually the case. She did, too. But that's beside the point. What I'm saying is that she made a choice that night, and I’m sure it wasn’t an easy one, if not for Klaus, then for everyone else who stood to lose if she failed, including Marcel. We're all put in impossible positions sometimes, and we have to make choices that we might regret for the rest of eternity."
"That's brilliant," he says, lips twisted into an awful smile. "I expected that kind of bollocks from Elijah, but I thought you, of all people, would not try to defend the indefensible."
"I'm not defending it. And I understand your anger, Kol. I really do. Better than I wish, actually. I never wanted Davina to get hurt or to pay for what she did. I don't think she deserved what happened to her. You trusted your family, and… They let you down," she says, her voice fraying around the edges. "You're right. You should hate us. You, Marcel, Vincent. I would hate us, too. But what I can't stop thinking is that I hope I'm never put in the same position as Elijah and Freya. I hope I never have to find out who I would be willing to sacrifice for my daughter, or for Klaus. I wish I could say that I would do the right thing, but the truth is… I don't know. And I would hate to find out. Because there is no right answer. There's only a guilt that eats away at you, and then living with the consequences of your choice. I mean, yesterday would’ve ended in a funeral either way. If not Davina's, then mine and Klaus'. I'm sure you'd be happy to have her back, and regardless of your feelings for us, you'd feel sorry for your niece. But because of what Elijah and Freya did, I'm here today, and Davina is not. I'm grateful to be alive, but I'm not happy. No one is. I wish it didn't have to be like that."
Caroline swallows around the tight lump in her throat, forcing back the tears threatening to escape. Somehow, she doesn't think she gets to cry over this. Not here. Not in front of Kol.
Kol's jaw clenches, his face scrunched up with an emotion she can't really define.
Caroline hesitates, considers telling him that he will always have a home with them, but decides not to. He doesn't want to hear that right now. Not from her, anyway.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Kol," she says instead, and means it. "I really am."
Then she turns away and leaves him to mourn Davina in peace.

Day 16: Presumed Dead
Still being late, but hey! At least I've got them done! Day 13 really was my holdup tbh, and I didn't want to post the others when I was missing day 13. I've had a different version of this one written since like, the start of the month, but I decided I didn't like it around the 16th, so I rewrote it.
And Ik the characters are OOC in this, Elijah has an excuse, but also I feel like he deserves to say fuck at least once. Plus, this is a new AU, called 'Let Me Stay'.
Hope you enjoy!
Klaus was happy. Or at least, he was content. Sure, his brothers were dead, and that put a considerable dampener on his mood. He didn’t mind Finn’s so much, since his older brother had always been boring anyways, always going on and on about how they were monstrous, and they shouldn’t kill, and how they should all just die instead of drinking blood.
It had gotten old after the third day of his moping, so no, Klaus wasn’t really all that bothered by his oldest brother’s death. Kol’s, however, he was very upset about. He’d cared for his younger half-brother, who’d barely blinked at the news that they didn’t share a father. Kol had been fun, if too wild and mischievous to be kept undaggered all the time, and Klaus missed him a lot.
If he hadn’t wanted more doppelgänger blood, so that he could make more hybrids, Klaus would have burned Mystic Falls, and everyone living in it, to the ground. Thinking about it, Klaus saw no reason not to go back and do it anyways. There was only one cure, and his doppelgänger hadn’t taken it, so there was no reason to not do it. He wouldn’t be getting more hybrids regardless.
But he was on a mission, this time. New Orleans. He’d been happy here, once, he remembered, him and Rebekah. Kol had enjoyed it too, when Klaus had let him out of his coffin. Maybe they’d be able to find happiness here again, even though it was just the two of them left.
Klaus’ plan was simple. He was going to conquer New Orleans again, for himself and Rebekah, and rule it. Make sure that his brothers were never forgotten. He’d carve all the statues himself, if necessary, ones for Kol, and ones for Finn.
And ones for Elijah.
It was times like these, that Klaus missed his older brother the most. Elijah was levelheaded, protective of their family. He was certain that Elijah would have burned that miserable town to the ground, as soon as he’d learned of Kol’s death. Hell, maybe even as soon as he’d learned of Finn’s death.
But Elijah was dead. Klaus knew it, they all knew it. Elijah had never even gotten to see New Orleans, never gotten to see their return to the homeland. He’d died too early, far too early for the eternity their mother had promised them when she’d made them vampires.
It was one of Klaus’ biggest regrets, that he’d left his brother there. They’d argued, and Klaus had stormed out in a rage, not wanting to see his brother when he was that mad. There’d been no one else at their temporary home, and when he’d come back… Elijah was gone.
Oh, his things were still there, but Klaus had assumed that he’d merely left as well, to go calm down in a place where he wouldn’t be reminded of Klaus and their siblings. Only, Elijah hadn’t come back. They’d stayed there longer than planned, waiting for Elijah, before they’d heard news of Mikael in the area, and had had to run.
And now, it was centuries later, and Elijah was dead, followed by their other brothers. Klaus at least hoped that his brothers were happy together in death, that they’d found peace together. Because he and Rebekah weren’t at peace, were struggling to move on, even as they’d managed without Elijah for the past 700 years.
Learning Marcellus was alive helped, even if he’d changed his name to Marcel, and had taken over Klaus’ city. One part of the hybrid could admire his ward’s, his child’s, audacity, but the other part was just mad. This was still his, even if Marcel was claiming otherwise.
But at least with Marcel’s survival, Rebekah would be happy. Klaus knew that his sister had been upset at her lover’s death, so upset that she hadn’t spoken a word of his name since they’d left what they thought was his burning corpse in New Orleans. He hadn’t been much better, admittedly, since in his grief, he’d also forbade news of his son around him.
But this wasn’t quite a fully-vampiric city, Klaus listened to Marcel explain. He’d done a lot of work, and Klaus could admire how he’d wiped out one pack of wolves, and cursed the other, but apparently there was a third.
A werewolf pack that hadn’t existed, back when Klaus was in charge. Marcel described it as having vampires in it, vampires who refused to join his cause. And the pack leaders hadn’t changed since its conception, over half a century beforehand.
“They’re vicious,” Marcel told him. “I don’t know how they’ve stayed around this long, but if my guys attack, then they’ll get bitten and die. And I don’t want to lose god knows how many men for even a single mile of territory, cause I’m damn sure I wouldn’t get more than that,”
“Good thing my blood can heal werewolf bites, then,” Klaus smirked, as his mind raced.
Werewolves would change pack leaders when they got too old, so it wouldn’t have been unusual for the previous leaders to stick around as Elders in the pack. But to not have changed over at all? The leaders should definitely be too old now, even if they were still alive.
Maybe it was just a clever trick, designed to confuse and scare the vampires? But Klaus had trained Marcel himself, had raised him, he wasn’t one to get confused by that sort of paltry trick. And Marcel swore it was the same leaders.
“I’ll come with you,” He decided on a whim.
Marcel was going to go and meet with this pack, and its leaders, the next day. And, well, Klaus couldn’t deny the slight preening when he saw Marcel’s small look of gratitude. Having a hybrid there would change things, and Klaus wanted to meet these wolves.
To find out their secrets... He'd string them up, if he had to.
-
And of course, it couldn’t be that easy. There were representatives from the witches and from the humans there as well, which made it that much harder to pick out which ones were from the wolves. Or, well, that was his initial impression.
It became that much easier to tell when the wolf representatives came slightly late, striding through the doors like they owned the place.
Klaus had seen many wolves over the years, old, young, etc. He knew what a wolf looked like when it was ageing, and these wolf leaders didn’t look that much over 80, if he had to guess. Which, given his approximation of their ages, shouldn’t be possible.
Introductions were had, including his. The meeting went as expected, if a bit calmer than Marcel had described it as. The wolves kept glancing at him, as though they knew something about him that Klaus didn’t.
And then, as he left, he found out what all those glances were for.
For outside, waiting for them all to exit the church (it was a neutral space, apparently. Since the leader of the human faction was the priest in charge, so it wasn’t biased towards the vampires, the witches, or the werewolves.), was a ghost.
Klaus stumbled back a little at the sight, feeling dread fill him. There, standing by the entrance was Elijah. Or at least, a very good replica of Elijah. Klaus blinked a couple times, but it was still there, still look just like his older brother had on calm days, his face tilted up to catch the sun’s rays as he waited for their next problem to be brought to him.
“You’re dead,” Klaus croaked out, when he got his voice back. “You died,”
And the Elijah-lookalike turned to face him, and- it was so realistic. It even had the quiet anger burning in its eyes, like Elijah’d always had whenever he’d get angry. A cold type of anger, that his self-control had never let him unleash on his siblings, turning itself into disappointment for them.
“Klaus Mikaelson,” It even had the same voice as his brother, although Klaus couldn’t remember Elijah calling him anything other than Niklaus their entire lives.
“Elijah?” He hesitantly asked, and was rewarded with a punch to the face.
It shocked everyone behind them, Klaus could tell by their gasps and yelps, but this was his brother. And if his brother was alive, then… Something had happened to him. Klaus hadn’t found him, over the centuries, even if the others had stopped him from searching after the first century.
“You left me with him,” Elijah hissed into his face, grabbing Klaus’ shirt collar and pulling him closer. “You knew he had me, and you left me with him,”
“We thought you were dead!” Klaus frantically defended, although he did try to gesture for Marcel to stay away.
This was his brother, and Klaus was immortal. He would survive, but he wasn’t sure if Marcel would. Regardless of what Elijah dealt to him, and Klaus knew he’d deserve it, for not realising his big brother was alive for all these years, he’d live.
“Rebekah will be happy to see you,” he tried, and Elijah dropped him onto the floor. “And… I’m glad you’re alive, brother,”
Elijah merely scoffed, before he turned on his heel and started walking away. “Fuck you,” He tossed over his shoulder, before he sped away.

HIII 🫶🏼 was wondering if you can make something about how Elijah/reader have been together/married for centuries and shes never felt jealous over Elijah with somebody else before so she doesn’t know how it feels like and she sees hayley with Elijah and she’s experiencing jealously for the first time and it ends with Elijah reassuring her with fluff and smut 😭😭
Eyes for you.
18+ ---- {Masterlist}
Amidst the clinking of glasses and strained smiles, you find yourself feeling jealous of the way Hayley is interacting with your husband... Until he shows you exactly why you shouldn't be feeling that way.
~Thanks for the request anon(s) ♡♡ I hope you don't mind me combining the two ideas. I made this as a sort of sequel to Dinner can wait~
~I've gotten sooo many requests in the last few days - I love them all, but it will take me some time to catch up ♡♡ thanks for your patience~
4.1k words - Warnings: smut, drama, oral, semi-public sex, slight dom!elijah...
{Moodboard->}
It was supposed to be a nice family outing. A dinner where everyone would just get together and enjoy themselves. But as the evening went on, your stomach had been churning, the food on the plate in front of you forgotten.
You hadn't even been able to eat more than a few bites, your appetite gone. Elijah kept a hand on your thigh under the table, his thumb rubbing circles, a small smile on his face. His brown eyes were soft as they stared at you.
But it didn't help.
You could see the way Hayley looked at him. Her beautiful hazel eyes were bright as they stared at your husband. Her plump red lips were curved into a flirty smile, and you knew that Elijah was enjoying her company.
He was always fond of Hayley. Even if he would deny it. You had seen the way his gaze lingered on her during dinner, the way he had leaned a little bit closer to her as she talked, how his own smile widened.
He was handsome, and the women around you knew it, all trying to gain his attention. You usually found it amusing, even a bit of an ego boost for you, knowing that you had what everyone else wanted.
But now, you felt insecure. Hayley was more than just a passing woman who wanted your husband. She was a part of the family, the mother to his beloved niece.
And she was beautiful. Her brown hair had been pulled into a bun, the baby hairs around her hairline curled. Her dark eyeshadow made her eyes stand out.
You shifted in your seat, taking a sip of your wine, trying to focus on the conversations around you. Freya was telling a story about the newest witch she had met. Kol was laughing, his mouth full of food.
"So, Y/n, what are your plans for the weekend?" Rebekah asked.
You swallowed thickly, glancing at her. "Elijah and I are going on a little getaway."
Rebekah raised her brows, smiling softly. "That sounds lovely. Where are you guys going?"
"We're going to this new winery a few hours away. We will leave tomorrow morning." Elijah spoke, his hand moving to the back of your neck, gently squeezing. "I need a break from work, and my darling wife deserves a vacation."
"That sounds so romantic, you guys should bring back some wine for me." Hayley said, smiling sweetly at Elijah.
You clenched your jaw, forcing a smile on your face. "Of course, anything for you, Hayley."
Elijah frowned, turning his head to look at you. He gave you a look, and you sighed, closing your eyes. You took a deep breath, you hated feeling this way, it made you irrational and stupid. You had nothing to be jealous about.
"If you'll excuse me, I need to use the ladies' room." You said, standing up.
"I'll join you," Rebekah said, and you nodded and followed her.
The two of you walked to the restroom, your steps were hurried, and your hands shook.
"What's wrong?" Rebekah asked, frowning.
"Nothing, I'm fine." You said, looking at yourself in the mirror. Your cheeks were flushed and your eyes were a little glassy. You began to touch up your make-up, trying to distract yourself.
"You don't seem fine, tell me what's going on." Rebekah said, stepping closer to you.
"It's just-," you took a deep breath, trying to calm your beating heart. "Hayley and Elijah."
"What about them?"
"Hayley is clearly into him, it's driving me crazy. It's ridiculous, I shouldn't be feeling this way." You said, looking at her.
Rebekah raised her brows, smiling slightly. "Well, well, the almighty y/n, is feeling jealousy for the first time in a thousand years."
"Yeah, and I know I'm being irrational, that's why I excused myself. I just need a minute." You said, rolling your eyes.
"Hayley is harmless." Rebekah said, gazing into the mirror. She fixed her dress, making sure it was laying perfectly on her body.
"She's been flirting with him all night and Elijah has done nothing to stop it." You said, lowering your voice.
"He's just being polite," Rebekah said, studying her nails. "But if it makes you feel better, we can always put Hayley in her place. Remind her that Elijah is very much married," she looked at you, raising her brows.
You snorted, shaking your head. "I'm not going to be petty, no matter how much I want to."
"You are so much stronger than me," Rebekah chuckled, linking her arm with yours as you left the bathroom.
As you and Rebekah reached the table, you could see Hayley was giggling, her hands resting on Elijah's bicep. She leaned in close to him, her lips almost brushing against his ear. Elijah's eyes had darkened, his brow furrowed as he whispered something in her ear, his lip curved into a smirk.
Your heart clenched as you watched him. A pang of envy swept through you and you let out a shaky breath. Rebekah gave you a sympathetic smile, squeezing your arm.
Elijah noticed you standing there, and looked at you, his brown eyes worried. He excused himself from Hayley, moving to you, he wrapped an arm around your waist, leading you to your seat.
"Are you alright, my love? You seem flushed," Elijah murmured.
"I'm alright, too much wine," You replied, avoiding his gaze.
Elijah didn't believe you, but wasn't about to start an argument in front of everyone. So he settled for tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, before placing a kiss on your cheek.
You smiled at his action, your heart fluttering slightly. No matter how angry and jealous you might be at him, he always seemed to know what to do to make you feel a little bit better.
As dinner went on, you saw that Hayley kept staring at Elijah out of the corner of your eye and it made your stomach turn. The way her eyes gazed at him with such affection. Elijah didn't even seem to notice. Instead he chatted with his brothers and sisters, his hand never leaving yours. His thumb caressed your knuckles, rubbing soothing circles on them.
Klaus brought out his phone and started sharing pictures and videos of his daughter. Elijah was grinning ear to ear, commenting on every single thing he was shown. The sounds of laughter around you made your chest swell, you felt good to see your family enjoying themselves.
Hayley seized this opportunity, shuffling closer to Elijah, leaning into him as she showed him her own videos of Hope. She would poke his shoulder and give him that innocent little smile. You clenched your jaw as you saw her press her breasts against his arm, looking up at him with big doe eyes.
You didn't like feeling this insecure and irrational, but you couldn't help it. The envious feeling was growing as you watched them interact. Elijah's brown eyes were soft as he gazed at Hayley. Smiling as he said something that made her laugh, head tilting back.
You couldn't help but compare yourself to her, you weren't as thin or as beautiful. You were taller, your breasts were bigger and your eyes wider. You usually weren't self conscious about your own looks, but today, you felt inadequate. She seemed like a more fitting partner for your husband.
You wanted to leave the restaurant, but you didn't want to make a scene. It was obvious that Elijah hadn't really noticed what was happening and you didn't want to look like a jealous wife.
"Excuse me, I would like to make a toast," Hayley said, raising her voice slightly. Everyone's heads turned to look at her, and you followed suit.
She stood up, her gaze focused on Elijah. You suddenly had a bad feeling, and you wanted to look anywhere but her, to keep from showing how upset you were.
"I just want to say," Hayley started, her hands clasped together. "Elijah, I've always admired you. You've always been so kind and generous to me and my daughter,"
You looked up at Elijah, and you could see his surprise, his brows raised. Hayley continued, "Over the past couple of years, I've grown to love and respect you, and I just wanted you to know that." She took a breath, and then reached a hand to touch Elijah's cheek. Your own heart started pounding.
Elijah stared up at her with confusion in his brown eyes, and Hayley laughed nervously. You were aware of the way Freya, Kol, Klaus, and Rebekah were watching you, but you couldn't take your eyes off of Elijah, to see how he responded.
She pulled back her hand slowly, then grabbed a hold of the champagne in front of her, swirling it around as she took a breath and held it out to him.
"To Elijah." Hayley said, smirking down at him.
He clinked his glass against hers. His own brown eyes were glazed with surprise as he held her gaze. He smiled softly, murmuring "thanks" under his breath.
You clenched your jaw, your fingers gripped the table cloth as you fought the urge to say something snarky, or throw something. Elijah turned to you, his arm wrapping around your waist. "Are you okay?" He whispered.
"I'm fine." You forced a smile as you took a deep breath.
He kissed your cheek, lingering his lips on your skin, his hand patted your side. You wished you could simply pull his face to yours and make him forget about everyone but you.
Your emotions threatened to get the better of you and you just wanted to leave the restaurant already, and be alone with your husband.
The end of the night couldn't come soon enough, and you all got into your respective cars. You and Elijah left the restaurant, the car ride quiet as you stared out the window.
"You're awfully quiet, what's wrong, love?" Elijah asked, his brows furrowing.
"Nothing." You said.
"Y/n." He frowned, his hand squeezing your thigh. You sighed, shrugging your shoulders.
"I don't want to argue in the car, you should focus on the road." You said, keeping your eyes forward.
You could feel his gaze boring into you, his hand moved to yours, bringing it up to his lips. He kissed the back of your hand softly.
"When we get home, you are going to tell me why you're so upset." He murmured against your skin.
When the two of you finally returned home, you immediately went to the bedroom. Your shoulders were tense, your chest was tight and your stomach churning.
Elijah followed behind you, watching as you undressed, taking off your dress, throwing it into the laundry basket. Your jaw was clenched, and he stood behind you, his arms wrapping around your waist.
"Elijah-" You started, but he cut you off with a kiss to your neck, his arms tightening their hold. His hands pressed against your stomach, and you felt his nose bumping your ear. His lips were soft as they explored the skin of your neck, nibbling it softly.
He turned you around and your hands came to his jaw. His lips were upturned, his brown eyes were warm. He cocked his head, gazing down at you.
"Tell me what's wrong." He whispered.
"It's stupid, I'm just feeling insecure." You said, looking into his dark eyes. Elijah frowned, bringing his thumb up to stroke your cheek.
"Why?" He asked, his brows furrowed.
You bit the inside of your cheek, fighting back your emotions. He could always get a sense of whether or not you were telling the truth.
"I just-," you sucked in a breath, closing your eyes. "Hayley clearly likes you,"
"I think she actually used the word love." Elijah teased, his brows raised. You glared at him and he chuckled softly.
"Is that why you've been so tense all evening? You were jealous?" He asked, pulling you flush against him.
You let out a shaky breath, avoiding his gaze. "Well you didn't exactly try to dissuade her." You mumbled, your hands pressed against his chest.
"Do you know what I was thinking about all night? How much I wish we didn't have to sit through dinner at the restaurant, and how much I wish we were alone, right here in our bed." Elijah whispered, and you felt your heart flutter.
"I've only ever had eyes for you, my love," He murmured, resting his forehead against yours. "My darling, you were the only woman I saw. Hayley could have been naked on top of me, and I wouldn't have been interested."
You smiled slightly at that, your hands resting on his shoulders. Elijah gazed into your eyes, a smirk pulling at his lips.
"Do you need me to show you? Remind you how much I love you?" He murmured, his face inches from yours.
"How would you show me?" You whispered. His brown eyes flickered with lust as he grinned, pulling back slightly. He brought his hands up to his tie, yanking it loose before pulling it off of his neck.
He smirked, wrapping the tie around his fist, slowly backing you up against the wall. Your breath was caught in your throat as you gazed up at him.
Elijah easily pinned you up against the wall, wrapping the tie around your wrists, and securing them above your head. You sucked in a sharp breath as he put his hand against your neck, his touch gentle.
"I don't like seeing you upset," Elijah whispered, his lips brushing against yours. "Not when I can make you feel better." He punctuated his sentence with a kiss to your jaw, then your neck.
"You're all I've ever wanted. You're the only woman I've ever loved and the only woman I've been attracted to. You're the love of my life," Elijah spoke, his tone soft and sincere. His breath fanned against your lips, and you parted them as he pressed his against yours.
He kissed you gently, his tongue swiping over yours slowly. You gasped, your wrists straining against the tie. His hands tightened around your wrists as he pushed you against the wall.
He broke the kiss, his eyes looking down at you. "Do you remember our first time together?" He asked, cocking his head to the side. You smiled slightly, a fond memory resurfacing.
"On a blanket under the stars. The only light was the moon, and you were so beautiful." Elijah smiled, his hand tilting your chin so you would look up at him. "How old were we? Seventeen?"
"It was a beautiful night, after hours of you telling me about the constellations. I had to shut you up somehow." You giggled before he pressed his lips against yours.
"It's a beautiful night tonight as well, we should go out, like we did back then. Make love under the stars." He spoke, brown eyes filled with affection.
Before you could answer he picked you up, wrapping your legs around his waist and your tied wrists around his neck. He walked past the bed and grabbed a blanket on the way, then carried you outside.
The cool night air seeped into your skin, but you didn't mind, Elijah kept you warm, his lips brushing against the nape of your neck. He set you down and laid out the blanket on the grass.
The backyard was illuminated by moonlight, and you could see the stars glistening in the sky. Elijah pulled you down with him, laying with you, his lips reconnecting with yours. Your body melted as he deepened the kiss, and you let out a small moan.
Elijah chuckled softly, hands roaming your body, fumbling with the lacy straps of your bra. "My darling, I don't think we'll need this tonight." His hands moved to the front clasp, expertly undoing it.
You loved it when Elijah undressed you. His large hands touched every inch of your skin. His lips always followed a path that was outlined by his fingertips. You watched him take off your panties, enjoying how his eyes darkened with lust and his smile curled.
Your hands ached to feel him, but they were still bound. Elijah kept you pressed against the soft blanket, spreading your legs for him.
He trailed a line of kisses down your stomach, not letting his lips miss any patch of skin. Your thighs trembled with excitement as you felt his breath ghost over your pussy. He grabbed your thighs, spreading them wider as he licked a stripe up.
You moaned out, squeezing your eyes shut as you felt his tongue, circling your clit before slipping inside you. Your breath hitched in your throat, and your hands trembled in their restraints as you ran them clumsily through his hair.
Elijah could stay in between your thighs all day. He remembered that first night together so vividly, remembering the way you had moaned and gripped his hair. Everything about you was intoxicating, and he never wanted the moment to end.
Your hips jerked up as you felt a coil grow in your core, your orgasm building. Elijah was coaxing it out of you, his lips sucking on your clit. A guttural moan escaped you, your back arching off of the ground.
His strong hands pressed against your hips to keep them still as his tongue moved quicker, coaxing every bit of pleasure from you. You could feel tears forming in your eyes, and you moaned Elijah's name desperately.
Elijah pulled away from you, a wicked smile on his face as he leaned up to kiss you deeply. He was still fully clothed, his hair messy and face glistening with the evidence of your pleasure.
"I love you so much, darling." He whispered against your lips. His fingers ran over your breasts, descending further down your body. He dipped a finger inside you, and you let out a soft gasp.
"Tell me about our first night together, Love." He said, slowly pushing in another finger, smiling as you moaned.
You trembled under his hands, and Elijah's eyes darkened as he watched you, loving the way you gave in to his touch.
"We had both snuck out, you told me to meet you in the clearing..." you said, cheeks red. Elijah pumped his fingers in and out of you, his forehead pressed against yours.
"You had stolen some mead from the cellars, and you brought candles and blankets. Always such a romantic." You moaned. Elijah had added a third finger, rubbing your clit with his thumb.
"Go on." He murmured, speeding up his movements. You cried out, squirming under him. He pressed down on your stomach with his other hand.
"You had led me over to the blankets. We'd barely drank the mead. And you told me that-"
"I told you that I had loved you for a very long time. I could hardly believe how lucky I was, finally being able to hold you in my arms." Elijah finished, his mouth twitching into a smile.
He kept fingering you, holding your gaze as you gasped. "You were so timid when I took your dress off, and I kept kissing you, murmuring about how beautiful you were." He said, feeling your walls clenching around his fingers.
You sucked in a breath and threw your head back, moaning as you climaxed. Elijah chuckled as he pulled out his wet fingers. He kissed your lips softly, brushing the stray hairs off of your face. He undid his tie from around your wrists, freeing your hands, and pulling you to his chest.
"I remember the way you looked at me when I made love to you." Elijah smirked, eyes falling to your naked figure, one of his hands tangled in your hair. He pecked your lips again. "I remember how tight and warm you felt, and how amazing it felt being inside you for the first time."
Your hands began to unbutton his shirt. You panted against his lips, sitting up. Elijah sat up with you, shrugging his shirt off and tossing it aside. His hands rubbed your arms gently, encouraging you.
You smiled, kissing his chest. His heartbeat quickened, his breath hitching as you moved over him. Your hands played with his belt, while your lips explored his skin. Elijah stared up at you through dark eyelashes, his hand brushed through your hair and then guided your head up. He pressed his lips against yours, smiling as you moaned into the kiss.
Soon you were both naked, the rest of his clothing discarded somewhere in the backyard. Elijah hovered over you, gazing down at you with affection glinting in his eyes.
"I love you, I wish you could see yourself the way I do." He murmured, cupping your cheek. You reached a hand up, intertwining your fingers with his.
He kissed your lips, lining himself up, before slowly easing in, swallowing your gasps. His hips moved slowly, his length filling you in the best way. You curled a hand around his bicep, your legs wrapping around his waist.
"You're so beautiful, my darling." Elijah cooed, burying his face into the crook of your neck.
You arched your back, biting your lip. Your nails dug into his arms as he picked up the pace, his groans were muffled. He pulled back and kissed you again, his tongue battling yours as you moaned against his mouth.
You didn't need anyone else when you had Elijah. The way he touched you and praised you made you feel euphoric. No one could compare to your husband. He was all you needed, even after one thousand years of marriage.
"Elijah." You gasped his name, hands gripping his arms. He pounded into you faster, and your head spun as you neared your climax. Elijah's hands found yours as you tensed, coming undone. He gasped, grunting your name as he buried himself deep inside, filling you with his cum, collapsing onto you.
You were both covered in sweat, gasping for breath. You sighed softly as he pulled out, laying down beside you and bringing your body against his. You pressed a hand over his racing heart, feeling comforted at the sound.
Elijah's fingers slipped through your hair, he gazed down at you, his eyes glinting.
"I really mean it, you know. You're the only woman I ever want to be with." He spoke, his smile made you melt.
"I know." You whispered, kissing his chest softly.
He pulled the blanket over you, his gaze loving as he ran his hands over your body. Elijah was always so intimate after the two of you had sex, murmuring endearing words, and worshiping every bit of skin he could get his hands on. His thumb brushed against your cheek, and you snuggled closer to him, enjoying his affection.
"I'm sorry I got jealous earlier." You said softly, playing with the blanket.
Elijah let out a soft laugh, kissing the top of your head. "You had no reason to be jealous, I'll never be interested in Hayley," He moved one hand down your body, squeezing your ass. "Because I have you."
Your laugh made his heart stutter. Elijah let his hands brush over you, taking care to touch you in all the right places.
"What else do you remember about our first time together?'' He asked, nipping at your ear.
You blushed as memories flooded back, suddenly feeling shy, though the sensation didn't come very often anymore.
"How clumsy you were and how sweet," you spoke, remembering how desperate Elijah had been to please you.
"You kept apologizing whenever you thought you did something wrong." You said. Elijah's face was pressed against your neck. You turned towards him and lifted his head up, smiling at the bashful look on his face. "Not that I knew any better," you teased.
Elijah chuckled and pressed his lips against yours. One of your hands moved down his sculpted chest and stomach. Your hands always gravitated towards him, no matter how many times you had explored his body over the centuries.
"So, about our trip tomorrow." He murmured against your mouth. You let out a soft sigh, hands wrapped around his neck.
"Yes, my love?" You asked, lips ghosting over his.
"Don't bother bringing many clothes," Elijah teased, smirking against your mouth. You giggled softly, kissing his smile.
"Any reason why?" You whispered, one of your hands moving through his hair.
"Because we're not going to leave the bed."

TVDU and Morality
I've recently said, a few times, that the morality debates in the TVDU fandom are boring, and some people have gotten offended so I thought I would explain.
First, this idea of hypocrisy in the fandom is laughable. The amount of times I've been called a hypocrite because I've called out problematic behavior, while also liking a problematic character. The gut reaction for so many in this fandom when their favorite character is being criticized is to shift the conversation onto a completely different character and even to the commenter themselves. This is boring and even downright offensive at times. Every single character has been a hypocrite at times. It doesn't inherently mean someone is bad. It means they are "human" and life can make hypocrites of all of us at times. Also, just to clarify, I am not a hypocrite for merely liking a problematic character. I promise I have never nor will I ever commit the acts that I criticize these characters for, which would be the definition of hypocrisy. I have also never told anyone they can't like certain characters.
We have these complicated characters and none of them are "good" people because, guess what, people aren't just one or the other. Everyone has the capability to be "bad" or "good." Trying to put a character firmly on one side is a generalization and ignores so much nuance. Some of their actions may be completely bad or completely good, but typically even that is an oversimplification. Are there characters that seem to do more bad things or more good things, definitely. Are their some characters that cross certain, unnecessary lines, absolutely. Are we allowed to criticize and question every character, please do! That's literally what media literacy is about.
Every single one of these characters has had completely selfish moments (except maybe Bonnie) and every single one of them has had moments of selflessness. These acts don't inherently demonize a character or automatically redeem one. This is what it means to have interesting, complex debates about characters. Looking at the characters as a whole and having open discussions of what it means. We can still love the character and acknowledge the good and the bad of the character.
Another annoying point that is always brought up is, "they weren't born evil, they were made that way." Yes, we get it. No one is born evil. Whether it is mental illness or life events that shape a person, they still have to take responsibility for their own actions. Obviously certain mental illnesses didn't have treatments for a very long time, but that doesn't just allow people to be serial killers.
Every single character has dealt with trauma, and how you react says a lot about a person's character. Separating out characters to say well "x" didn't deserve it but when they became "x" they did. No one deserves good or bad things. I know I say it all the time, they deserved better, but when I do, I'm being facetious. I'm saying I wanted better for that character, better writing, better storylines, a better ending, etc. That phrasing implies that some people deserve better lives than others and I just morally don't agree. No one deserves trauma or abuse. That logic only furthers the cycle of abuse. Now, that being said, people are responsible for their own actions. Spend centuries creating enemies, and guess what, a lot of bad things are going to happen to you.
But the real debates I enjoy having, and have been fortunate to find so many people to engage in these debates, is the morality of the decisions in context of the characters. I like to apply similar logic from the Trolley Problem. If you don't know what that is, enjoy this tik tok I made of Cami teaching the Mikaelsons.
Essentially, many of the characters weight their options, like Jeremy killing Kol and thousands of vampires with it in order to find the cure. Kol is a thousand year old serial killer and is attempting to kill Jeremy, but again Kol is attempting to stop Silas from rising. Neither side is inherently right or wrong. There is a debate to be had.
In the majority of situations in the show there is a debate to be had. The only exceptions being any SA. I will never debate the morality of these actions. Even for immoral characters, there is a line to be drawn.
These debates get even more complex in TO because we move into a world where nearly every character has done absolutely horrendous things. It's okay to sit down and say, "This thing that x did was awful, but I can see their reasoning." It is not justifying their actions, but allowing the characters to be the complex morally corrupt characters that they all are.
#just thought I would clarify some things#I just want to debate these characters#without people getting absolutely angry in the comments#like they are all serial killers#but we can still love them cause they're fictional#but I can still hate/dislike other characters for crossing certain lines#that's why so many different characters exist#we all have our own things we work out through fiction#tvdu#the originals#the vampire diaries#the mikaelsons#tvd#tvdu metas#metas#andrea831 metas#andrea831 metas mikaelson

she knew now that this man was not a fan of crying or signs of weakness. she had to remind herself to hold back any tears or words of guilt in front of him even though she was a confusing cocktail of emotions right now. hunger being the most predominantly dangerous emotion that was consuming her whole being at this point. she needed help and, even though she didn't know who this stranger was, she would accept whatever he may offer her. she didn't have much of a choice. it was this or continuing hurting others that didn't deserve the fate she would accidentally give them.
she nodded slowly, slightly sniffling but she quickly wipes at her nose to prevent herself from displaying any more emotions. she didn't know who this nik person was or what it meant to be an original, but she had no other choice but to instill trust in this man. it seemed, from what he told her, that he knew what he was doing. ❛ i'm ... i'm vicki, donovan. thank you, kol, for — helping me. i don't really know what's wrong with me ... ❜ she trailed off, looking around in paranoia but then brings her gaze back to him. control yourself, vicki, control yourself, she thought to herself. she nodded frantically at his next words, clasping her hands together, pleading, ❛ please, i'm so hungry. please help me. the hunger, it won't stop. my stomach feels like it's going to eat itself. ❜

Corresponding episode: TVD 3x15
Masterlist
October 2010, Mystic Falls
She was in the lounge room, reading Dante's Inferno when Kol and Klaus barged in. Sighing, she got up to leave, but Kol stopped her. He seemed in search of someone to annoy and of course, she was the perfect target. Klaus sat on the opposite side of the couch from her with a sketchbook in hand. She ignored both of them.
"Where's Rebekah?" Kol asked after a while.
She sighed and flipped to the next page of the book. "I don't know. She disappeared after your little 'incident' with her date last night."
Kol clicked his tongue. "He deserved that!"
Kassie rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You're an idiot."
Klaus chuckled at that but Kassie put him in place as well. "That applies to you as well."
"What!? What did I do?" He asked, all offended.
"I mean in general. You're both quite idiotic." Kassie clarified.
Then, Rebekah walked into the room, wearing the same dress from last night, her hair messy and her heels in hand. Kol, naturally, took this as an opportunity to start belittling Bekah and questioning her where she was. Bekah, in turn, threatened to knock the teeth out of his mouth.
"I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet. But at least she's having fun." Kol quipped.
"I'm sorry!?" Kassie exclaimed, suddenly shutting her book.
Kol rolled his eyes. "Come on, Kassie I didn't mean it like that-"
She got up from her seat and slapped him in the head with her book.
"You buffoon! There's nothing funny about slut-shaming your sister! It's not the 1900s anymore, Kol. Leave your sexist, misogynistic thinking behind. Why are you always commenting on what she's doing? She can do whatever she wants with whomever she wants!"
Kol sighed, looking down.
"Why don't you call him a strumpet?" She asked, pointing at Klaus. "He's been with plenty of people. Or better yet, why don't you call yourself a strumpet? You've slept with many a woman. Oh, that's right. Because you're men."
"I suggest we leave before she mounts your head on a spike," Klaus whispered to Kol.
After the men left, Bekah gave Kassie a bone-crushing hug.
~
"Kassandra." Elijah's voice pulled her back to reality. She didn't even hear when he entered her room.
She was sitting on her little balcony, eyes closed as she took in the warmth of the sun. Despite the sun being one of her major weaknesses, she enjoyed an occasional sunbath, letting its warmth seep into her skin and bones. It made her feel less...dead.
"Yes, Elijah?"
"A word, please." He called for her. Sighing, she got up and walked back into her room.
"What?" She asked, annoyed.
Elijah held up a burned bundle of herbs. Kassie sniffed it. "Sage," Kassie concluded.
"I found this in Mother's study." Elijah clarified.
"I guarantee she used it last night while talking to Elena," Kassie commented and asked Elijah what Elena told him.
Elijah explained what the doppelganger said but Kassie was not convinced. She shook her head. "Mother's onto something. Where is she anyway?"
"I- I don't know," Elijah said earnestly. "...Speaking of Elena, I was hoping you would help me."
"...With what?" Kassie asked.
~
Someone was knocking on the door. Elena went down the stairs and opened the front door.
"Elena."
"Elijah..."
"I don't mean to intrude. I was hoping you might accompany me. I wanna show you something."
Elena reluctantly agreed. She quickly put on her coat and scarf and walked with Elijah to his car. He held the door for her and she sat in the passenger seat.
"Hello, Elena."
The girl gasped in shock and turned to see Kassandra sitting behind the driver's seat. The Original had a smirk on her face as she observed Elena.
"Why is she here?" Elena asked Elijah.
"I asked her to come with me," Elijah explained vaguely and started driving. Elena could feel Kassandra staring at her from the back.
(Kassie delighted in the smell of fear that permitted off of Elena.)
They stopped in the middle of the woods and got out of the car. As Elijah explained the history of their village to Elena, Kassie made her way to the rock formation with the name carvings. She knelt, grazing her fingers over her husband's name.
"Do you know this place too?" Elena asked and Elijah answered positively. He explained how a system of tunnels beneath was used as protection against werewolves. Kassie got up and stood next to her brother.
"...Are those runes?" Elena inquired, noticing the carvings, and knelt to inspect them. She put her hand up, touching the moss around the runes.
"Don't touch them!" Kassie snapped. Elena jumped away from the rock.
" Alright, that's it. Give me the keys, I'm leaving." Kassie demanded of Elijah and Elena asked why she wanted to leave so quickly.
"Well, I never wanted to be here in the first place. Secondly, you're getting on my nerves and I have this overwhelming urge to rip out your spinal cord whenever I see you. If you were anyone else, I would've killed you on the spot for what you did to my sister. But since your doppelganger blood is so precious to Klaus, I can't."
Elena gulped nervously. "Why do you dislike me so much?" She finally asked. Kassie slowly turned around and sighed.
"Because Elena, a long, long time ago, when I was just a normal girl there was this woman in our village. She was beautiful and every man in our village desired her. Well, except one - because he was interested in yours truly.
And of course, she had to go after the one guy who ignored her. Her pursuit of him did not work because of, well, me.
Then, she became entangled with not one, but two of my brothers. Can you guess who?"
Elena glanced at Elijah.
"Naturally, those two knuckleheads began fighting over her. They were not on speaking terms for weeks. Which was horrible for me, cause I'm their sister and did not want to see them hurt.
So to answer your question - Any time I see her face, which you just so happen to have, I can't help but become hostile."
Elijah stepped in between them, slightly pushing Kassie behind him.
"Forgive my sister. She's known to hold quite a grudge."
Kassie scoffed softly, looking away. Elena seemed extremely uncomfortable and said she should probably get back home.
"I admire you, Elena," Elijah said. "It is not in your nature to be deceitful and yet, last night, you lied to me."
Elena tried defending herself, saying she didn't lie.
"Don't lie, darling. Your heart is giving you away. Jumping up and down like a hummingbird." Kassie remarked as she circled Elena. "Be honest with us."
Elena sighed but told the truth about her conversation with Esther. "It's not just Klaus that she wants to kill."
"...She wants to kill us all, doesn't she?" Elijah concluded.
"I knew it! I told you, Elijah!" Kassie exclaimed, anger bubbling inside her. God, she hated her family sometimes.
Elijah proceeded to create a hole in the ground and placed Elena into the caverns below. He told Kassie to stay with her while he would inform the Salvatore brothers of the situation. Kassie insisted on calling Rebekah, saying she deserved to kill Elena more.
~
Kassandra was in one of the tunnels, hiding from Elena. It wasn't that difficult, really. She could hear the girl's phone as she tried catching any phone signal. She could hear Elena groaning in frustration. Some 20 minutes later, Rebekah showed up.
Once Elena started moving, so did the sisters. They ambushed her in one of the corners, Rebekah in front and Kassie from behind.
Elena gasped "What are you doing here?"
"Not much. Unless you try to run, in which case, we get to kill you." Bekah informed the doppelganger with a wicked smile on her face.
~
"I can't find her," Stefan said as he entered his house.
"Hello, Stefan," Elijah said, sitting in front of the fireplace.
"He has Elena," Damon informed his younger brother.
"Actually, she's with my sisters." Elijah corrected. "As you can imagine Rebekah and Kassandra are just dying to tear her throat out. So, if you want to save Elena's life, I need you to help me stop my mother."
And so, Elijah instructed the Salvatore brothers on what to do lest they want Elena to die.
~
"Do you think I wanna spend what could be the last hours of my life having idle chitchat with a girl who literally stabbed me in the back? Of course not! But for some reason, everybody seems to wanna bend over backward to save your life!
Which is incredibly annoying, but makes you the perfect hostage. So why don't you sit down and shut up, before I ruin everything by ripping your head off." Rebekah hissed at Elena, her words full of venom.
Kassie observed all of this, leaning on a rock behind Bekah. They've been in these bloody caves for what felt like hours and she was sick of it.
"I'm going," Kassie informed her sister in their mother tongue.
"Where?"
"To warn Kol and Niklaus. They need to know as well. Besides, If I spend one more second with her, I'll rip her spine out."
Bekah sighed. "Ugh...Fine. Good luck. Here, take my car. You'll need it more than me."
Once she bid her sister goodbye, Kassie sped out of the tunnels and went over to Rebekah's car. She drove off, set on finding her brothers. While driving, she called Elijah, telling him of her plan. She also texted Kol and asked where they were.
"At the Mystic Grill." She read Kol's response.
She was driving as fast as possible. It took almost 30 minutes to get back into town plus another 10 minutes to get to the center where the Grill was located. Conveniently for her, there was a free parking spot just outside the Grill. Even more convenient was the fact that one of her brothers was sitting on a bench right in front of her car.
~
"Just the person I was looking for." The voice of his youngest sibling rang in Klaus's ears as she approached him.
He sighed. "What do you want? I'm busy." He answered, still looking at the blonde next to him.
"Where is Kol? We need to go home." She asked him in their mother tongue.
Reluctantly pulling his eyes away from Caroline, he looked at his sister. "What are you talking about?"
"Mother is trying to get rid of us. Permanently. She's planning on killing us. Tonight."
He furrowed his brows. "You're being ridiculous."
"I'm serious, Nik! Please." Kassandra pleaded, grabbing his hand and pulling him up from the bench.
"Kassandra, you're just being paranoid. You've been spending too much time with Elijah-"
Then all of a sudden, a sharp pain went through his heart and started spreading across his body. At the same time, Kassandra gasped, clutching her heart. Her skin turned grey and in seconds, she looked the same as she did only a month ago, while she was still daggered.
"Kassandra!" He exclaimed, catching his sister from falling.
Caroline gasped, never before had she seen something like this happen. "What's happening?"
"Stay with her, will you? Make sure no one sees her. Please." Klaus pleaded with the blonde and ran toward the Grill.
~
She woke up with a gasp. Taking in quick, shallow breaths, she could feel her hands were still numb, though it disappeared quickly. She opened her eyes - she was outside, the cool night air hitting her skin, ruffling her curls.
"You ok?" A soft voice asked from behind her. Sitting up quickly, she realized she was on a bench.
Kassandra looked up to see a nervous-looking Caroline, standing close to her. She was looking around and guilt was written all over her face. Kassie got up, grabbed the blonde by her throat, and pushed her down on the bench. "What have you and your insolent group of friends done now?"
"I don't know what y-you're talking about!" Caroline croaked, struggling to fight against the Original.
"Why were you talking to Klaus? Tell me the truth, now!" Kassie hissed, looking the girl in the eyes, compelling her.
"Damon sent me as a distraction so Alaric could dagger Kol." The words flowed automatically out of the girl's mouth.
Kassie hummed. "Forget I asked you anything." She released the blonde, and disappeared into the night, searching for her brothers.
~
"Nik!"
"Leave him!"
She and Elijah yelled simultaneously as they stood at the top of the stairs leading to the back entrance of the Grill.
At the foot of the stairs, Klaus was glaring at Damon. He turned, looking up at his siblings.
"What did Mother do?" Klaus asked.
Both Elijah and Kassie ran down the stairs. Elijah threatened Damon to give him the location of the witches, while Kassie knelt next to Kol who was waking up.
Damon and Stefan quickly left, tasked with killing one of the Bennett witches. Once Kol got up, Elijah turned to her. She asked where they were going.
"You'll be going home." Elijah informed.
She protested but the look in his eyes left no room for discussion.
"You've been through enough. We'll handle Mother. Please, just go home."
Kassie sighed but nodded her head. Elijah kissed her forehead and ushered her to leave.
"Just so you know, she was a distraction." She said looking at Klaus. He looked at her confused.
"Caroline. Damon told her to distract you so Alaric could dagger Kol."
With that, she sped up the stairs, got inside Bekah's car, and drove off to their mansion.
Elijah, Klaus, and Kol arrived at the location of their mother's sacrifice. In front of the abandoned witch house, stood their Mother and Finn inside a pentagram.
Kol taunted Finn, but Esther silenced him. "Be quiet, Kol. Your brother knows virtue you cannot even imagine. Unlike some of you here, he feels remorse for his actions."
"What are you talking about?" Kol asked.
"Why don't you ask your brother?" Esther said, looking at Klaus. Elijah and Kol looked toward Klaus who ignored their stares. She stretched out her hand toward Finn who pulled out his phone. Esther took it.
"Fascinating, isn't it? How far technology has come." Esther commented and gave back the phone. "I sent a message to your sister. She'll listen to it and realize how not one but two of her brothers betrayed her. But she won't be in pain for long. Once Finn dies all of you will follow."
"What are you talking about? Who betrayed who?" Elijah asked, confused.
"Niklaus. Perhaps you would like to tell your siblings about what you did to Kassandra?"
A look of guilt washed over Klaus's face, his mask slipping for just a second, but Elijah didn't miss it. "I've no idea what you're talking about." Klaus dismissed his mother.
"I was there, Niklaus. For a thousand years, I watched as you corrupted her, the gentlest one in our line. I watched as you subjugated her to centuries of unnecessary pain and suffering just to soothe your ego."
"What are you talking about!?" Elijah asked again, this time his voice was louder and there was a hint of fear. What did Klaud do to Kassandra? Elijah was desperate to find out.
While the Originals were arguing, inside the witch house Damon killed Bonnie's mother and turned her into a vampire. This disturbed Esther's ritual. The fires around the pentagram burned wildly, blinding Kol, Klaus, and Elijah. Finn took this as an opportunity and ran away with Esther.

Mikaelson house
With a sigh, Kassie entered the house. What a crazy day, she thought. Perhaps a hot shower will help her. She went up to her room, unzipped her leather jacket, and plopped herself on her bed. Her brothers were currently facing off against their mother. And of course, she was told to sit it all out.
She got up, intent on filling up her bath with hot water when her phone went off. A message from Finn. She furrowed her brows. Why would Finn send her a message? She opened up the chat and saw it was a voice recording. When did he learn how to do that? She pressed play.
"Hello, my dear." Her mother's calm voice filled the room. "You must be wondering why I'm sending you this message."
"Over the centuries, I have watched you cry a river of tears over your beloved. I watched as you searched for him. I watched as you turned off your emotions and became a shell of the girl I once knew.
As I'm sure you've figured out, I have linked all of my children as one, so if one dies, you all die. Finn has bravely put himself forward as the volunteer. You might have wondered why. It's because he cannot live with the guilt and shame and whenever he sees you he's reminded of how he betrayed you.
That night when you ran away, you thought yourself successful. But what you didn't know is that Finn saw you escaping. He kept it secret for decades, but Klaus grew suspicious and threatened Finn he would kill Sage unless he confessed what he knew. So Finn told him what he saw. And that's when Klaus started his hunt."
At this point, Kassie felt her knees buckling and sat down on her bed. Speechless, she continued listening.
"Klaus tracked your movements and where you traveled. He knew your every step. He waited for the perfect moment to strike. On that faithful day, you woke up and went on about your day, not knowing your life was about to change forever. Your husband told you he would be back before noon. You smiled and kissed him sweetly, not knowing that would be the last time you saw him.
But noon passed. Night fell. He never came back. You knew something was amiss. You spent days and nights searching for him. Every nook and cranny, you checked it, lifted every pebble and stone, but it was too late. He was gone. Why? Because Klaus got to him...Perhaps you should sit down for this next part.
I know you are a gentle spirit and you always saw the best in people. You idolized your older siblings and always strived to make them proud, your brothers specifically. It breaks my heart to tell you but that feeling in the back of your mind telling you to be wary of Klaus was right, because it was him who banished Axel."
Her vision blurred as tears welled up in her eyes and a sense of dread filled her being. The last time she felt this way was the day she turned off her emotions. Her head was spinning and she was sure if she could get a heart attack she would.
"Go and inspect the bottom drawer on his work desk. I think you'll find something interesting there." Her mother added and the message ended.
In a haze, she ran toward his room. She grabbed the handle. Locked. With ease, she broke down the door off its hinges. Heading straight for his desk, her eyes fell on the third and last drawer. Again, it was locked. She grabbed the handle and pulled it roughly, forcing it open.
The first thing she noticed was a white envelope with her name on it. She instantly recognized her mother's elegant handwriting.
"Hello, darling.
We meet again. This time I will finish the story and tell you the most crucial details. What you didn't know is that when Axel left your house that day, he was immediately ambushed by your brother. Klaus compelled your husband. Any memories of you and your marriage were wiped. He erased all memories Axel had of our family; it's like he never knew you. To make sure Axel wouldn't remember, Klaus took his wedding ring.
One more thing to note: when Klaus daggered you in 1996 he did it because Axel moved to Switzerland the same year and he didn't want you accidentally stumbling upon your long-lost husband. That's why he tracked you down and put you in a coffin."
The letter sent her into a fury. She looked into the drawer once more and noticed a small black box. Quickly grabbing it, she opened it harshly, throwing away the lid. On top of a red velvet cushion laid her husband's wedding band, the one that matched her own. It was attached to a simple silver chain.
Hot tears burned her eyes and ran down her face. How could Klaus ever do that to her? Centuries worth of suppressed rage bubbled inside her, finally reaching its boiling point. She got up, put Axel's wedding ring into her back pocket, and took a deep breath.
She then grabbed a nearby chair and slammed it against the work desk, shattering it into pieces. Looking up, she noticed an oil painting hanging off the wall - a portrait of her that Klaus painted in the 1700s. She smashed it with the leg of the broken chair.
Speeding down to Klaus's art studio, she proceeded to split the canvas into two and threw all of his drawings into the fire. She went into a frenzy, destroying the entire house. She broke every vase, every statue, anything in her line of sight. By the end, it looked like a tornado passed through their home. Her cries of sorrow and anguish filled the house as she keeled over in agony. How could she have been so blind?
~
The Mikaelson brothers rode in silence. Klaus still hasn't explained himself and what Esther meant by him betraying Kassandra. Elijah would speak with him about it once they returned home. Speaking of their home...
They exited Elijah's car and started walking toward the front door. Elijah could feel something cracking under his shoes - all across the pavement and the grass, broken glass shimmered in the moonlight. They also noticed a bunch of books and broken ceramics on the ground. Elijah looked up and finally realized all the windows were smashed.
"Kassandra..." Elijah uttered and ran inside.
Immediately upon entering, he knew something was wrong. Broken statues, window frames ripped off, books shredded...what the hell happened? He called out her name but there was no response. With his vampire senses, he heard her ragged breathing and followed the sound to one of the lounge rooms. Kol and Klaus followed.
They walked into the room only to find it destroyed to pieces. In the middle of it all was Kassandra, on her knees. Her dark curls were in disarray and covered her face. Elijah's first instinct was to grab her and hold her in his arms, but Kol stopped him.
"Kassie...what happened?" Kol asked softly. He might not show it often, but he cared for his youngest sister deeply. He approached her slowly, kneeled beside her, and gently took hold of her face. He was met with her tear-stricken face. Her eyes were red from crying and filled with despair. Kol hated seeing her cry and it broke his heart to see her in so much pain.
Her head turned to Klaus who lost all color in the face upon meeting her eyes. Her gaze hardened and grabbing onto Kol's arm, she stood up. Not taking her eyes off Klaus, she slowly walked over to him. She stared into his eyes, and she could see, he knew. "Kassie, I-"
Grabbing him by the throat, she pushed him against the wall and screamed in his face. Kicking him to the ground, she grabbed a piece of wood from the floor and jabbed it into the side of his neck. His blood splattered all over her hands and face but she didn't care. "LIAR! LIAR! YOU LIED TO ME!"
Elijah and Kol sprang to action, pulling her away from Nik. Kol grabbed her arms and pulled her back, holding her tightly. Elijah helped Klaus get up and removed the splinters of wood. She writhed in Kol's arms, screaming in agony. "LET ME GO! HE COMPELLED AXEL! HE COMPELLED AXEL TO FORGET ME! HE TOOK MY HUSBAND AWAY FROM ME!"
Elijah inhaled sharply as his worst suspicion was confirmed. Of course he did, Elijah thought bitterly as he gave Klaus a disappointed look. He turned to Kassie, meeting her furious gaze. She has never looked more terrifying.
"Let her go, Kol," Elijah instructed calmly. Kol seemed hesitant but did it anyway. She pulled out a chain from which a silver ring dangled.
"Why do you have his wedding ring?" She asked, her voice hoarse from crying and screaming.
Klaus stayed quiet, averting his gaze.
"You found him that night, didn't you? When he went missing, he was with you and you compelled any memory he had of me...I spent days and nights searching for him! It seems to me that your desire for control eradicated any semblance of love you once held for me.
I was never just your sister. No. I was a tool you used against our siblings to keep them in check because you knew how much I meant to them, especially Elijah. You thought ever and only of your own glory and not of your little sister in her grief.
Did you ever stop to consider how much pain you were causing me, hmm, how much suffering I went through trying to find him? You never took my pain seriously. No. You never saw my tears as a sign something was wrong. You ever only saw it as me being an annoying little girl who was overly emotional."
"You ran away! You defied my authority!" Klaus yelled.
She stared at him in bewilderment. "...Yes, I ran away. He's the love of my life. Of course, I wanted to be with him. I promised myself to him long before we were turned."
"He was not worthy of you!"
She scoffed. "You are the last person to talk about someone's honor. He was a good man, and he had a kind and gentle heart - something you never were and something you never possessed."
Klaus opened his mouth to respond but Kassie continued.
"You knew that with him by my side, I could do anything. With him by my side, you could not control me and I would've been free of your tyranny. That's why you banished him and took away his memories!"
"You betrayed us, all of us!" He yelled back.
"Betray- You do not own me! Or my heart! You do not get to control whom I love. My heart is my own and I shall give to whomever I deem worthy."
"You give yourself too much credit, love. I only kept you around for entertainment." He spat.
She chuckled dryly. "If I was so unimportant to you why didn't you just let me leave? Because then, I would be a loose thread and you couldn't have that." She countered with a sad grimace.
"All of us were puppets and you the master, the strings controlling us were in your hands. For centuries I thought I was the exception, but now I see I was the first one to be strung up."
"What the bloody hell is going on in here? Why is everything broken?" Rebekah's voice reverberated off the walls as she stormed into the room. "What is going on- Kassie? Nik? Oh my god! What happened?"
Kassie paid no mind to the interruption, her eyes firmly on Klaus. "You knew that without him I would break. So you did exactly that - you broke me down and you kept me in a constant state of anguish for centuries, so that you could more easily control me."
He was fully crying at this point, his blue eyes full of bitter tears. This only agitated her more.
"You can't even defend yourself! You know what I'm saying is true. The only thing you know how to do is lash out threats and talk only of your power and influence..."
"Kassandra, perhaps you should let Niklaus speak-" Elijah tried intervening.
"NO! NO! NO!" She yelled, waving her hands around. "How can you expect me to believe anything that comes out of his mouth ever again?"
Bekah tried as well. "Sister, please-"
"SILENCE!"
She approached him, their faces inches away; he could not meet her gaze.
"It should've been you." She whispered, looking up at Klaus, hit with a realization. "That night, when Henrik died, it should've been you that the wolves killed. Everything would've been different: Mother would've never done her spell, we would've lived normal lives, vampires wouldn't exist and my little brother would've been alive. Everything would've been...better."
Rarely, if ever, did any of the Mikaelsons mention their youngest brother. "Kassandra-" Elijah chided, his usual stoicism now all but gone.
"You can't possibly mean that!" Klaus exclaimed, wide-eyed and horrified.
"You know it's true," Kassie uttered. She backed away, touching her throat, now aching from all the yelling. Her fingers felt the cold metal of her necklace. Realizing she was still wearing it, she quickly snapped it off and threw it at Klaus.
"And to think I was wearing this for centuries because you designed it. To think that I cherished it because you made it for me." She spat, disgust obvious in her tone.
She clutched her head. "God, I- I gave you my everything. I was always there for you, whenever you needed me! I comforted you. I defended you! I...I loved you." She spoke slowly, her voice cracking on those last three words.
"...But not anymore," Kassie added and the look on Klaus's face would've been hilarious had the situation not been so tragic. The sheer magnitude of fear in his eyes told her she had struck the right chord. "You...are no brother of mine. Not anymore. Not after this."
"Kassandra, please, I beg you-" Klays pleaded, grabbing her hand and falling to the ground.
She pushed him away and started laughing hysterically, greatly unnerving the rest of her siblings. "The great Klaus Mikaelson on his knees, begging for forgiveness. I never thought I would see the day."
"Kassie, please-" His voice trembled.
"I never saw you as the Hybrid. You know what I saw you as? I saw you as my big brother; my poor brother who was being hunted and chased down by our evil father. I saw how badly he treated you when we were children and I swore I would do anything in my power to defend you from such pain...
I don't want to see you ever again. Don't even try asking Elijah or Rebekah to advocate for you because I won't listen."
"Please, listen to me-"
"Rot in hell." She spat and with that, she walked out of the room and the house, leaving her siblings in shock. No one was brave enough to stop her.

I know it took me like two months but it's finally here - the big confrontation with Klaus! I always knew there would be a big fight between them, this was one of the earliest scenes I had imagined for this story. Obviously, it's so much better inside my head lol but I think I did it justice. Also, I really tried to emphasize just how speechless Klaus was, like, he could not utter a single word in his own defense, cause he knew this would happen sooner or later.
As always thank you for reading and share your thoughts! XOXO

hey, there's a story called "FAIRPLAY" in this one-part book of klayley stories. the ending of this story was a disappointment for me. i wanted klaus to regret what he did over time, to miss hayley and fight to win her back. can you please read this story and write a sequel in a different way? https://www.wattpad.com/619262551-klayley-one-shots-short-stories-fairplay
Klaus
She was gone. All traces of Hayley Marshall, his little wolf, were wiped out from New Orleans. He shook his head at the thought. She was no longer his anymore, then why did her absence gnaw at him, a strange emptiness nothing could fill. It was as if she was never there except for the scathing looks the wolves directed at him behind his back which he knew were well deserved on his part, the endless bickerings of his siblings which have worsened over time with none to mediate in between and a dull everpresent ache in his chest further served as a constant reminder which only intensified the more he though of her. You would think with her gone there wouldn’t be much to think about, but bloody hell, every little thing promoted him to think of her. She was nowhere and she was everywhere , it was maddening. Even his room smelt of her. No matter how much perfume of her own Camilie tried to smear against the sheets or fill up the room with her things. The room still smelt of his little wolf so much he could barely breathe. Not just his room but the whole damned compound. It's as if the mansion itself was also holding onto Hayley with everything. He wouldn’t be surprised. Initially, Hayley had hated the Abattior, but over time, it grew on her so much so that she , Rebekah and Kol had gone on a renovation spree with Elijah contributing useful inputs. He? He had merely watched in absolute enjoyment as Hayley conquered the Abattior for her own, interfering only when it was asked of him.
"Klaus?" The soft timbre of Camilie's voice dragged him back to the present; one of their usual dinners Camille arranged at her house to talk about things that bothered him. He understood Camilie's efforts to fill the void Hayley had left behind but that was an impossible task. "Just marveling at human stupidity. " He remarked in regard to a client she was telling him about which for the life of him he couldn’t focus on. Maybe he didn't like such talks after all. You listened to Hayley talk of her day. You even talked about your own with her. His traitorous mind reminded him but that was a different matter. It was nigh impossible not to listen to the Hayley's regal, firm and commanding voice that had a certain lilt to it that allured all who heard it. That and their conversations were so spontaneous from Faction politics to wolf stuff to his own adventures to vampire history, the way he had eliminated his enemies in the past and how he would eliminate them currently, an outing in which she happily tagged along.
Even their dinners were either private or spent with the whole family, mostly the latter given how much Hayley and he himself enjoyed it. He had tried that with Camilie, but the Mikaelsons had always been a tightly knit family, and Hayley was adored by all without exception. So his family was neither subtle nor gentle in their hostility against Camilie. Even Marcel seemed unwilling to have her presence at the family dinner. Rebekah never the one to be fond of sweet Cami as she put it had nearly killed Camillie on learning what had transpired had he not intervened. Even he was feeling the unwelcome looks of his own family, and dining in his room was out of question. He hated food crumbs littering his space. The only exception was Hayley whenever she felt like stuffing her face with ice cream late at night. He had tried to get her to stop but she had given him a look that said either we both stay or I go and she never let ice cream fall and even if it did he could just lick it off her skin. Yes, he was going mad with missing her. His family had given him enough shit as is for it as if he didn't know how badly he had botched things. He remembered how it had started when he was on one of his trips to the Bayou and had overheard a Pack elder talking to Hayley, "You need a true wolf with you, not one who never shifts and would never give you heirs. For the prosperity of the pack, the Labonair line must be continued, so I suggest you find another to mate with just for the sake of heir."
He had waited, and nothing came. Not the vehement denial he was expecting to hear from her, not a single word. Like she was considering that abhorrent prospect. He had left so quickly, and the coming days had worsened his paranoia given her time at the Bayou increased day by day. He had become so miserable that Camilie had said it was etched on his face, so he had taken the blond bartender therapist on her offer to talk. He had drank so much that night till he was absolutely hammered. And he couldn’t quite remember what happened after or how he could have done it, but he slept with Camilie. He was so disgusted that he kept his distance from her but only humored her talks because he knew he needed the therapy sessions lest he somehow took it out on Hayley, and that was unacceptable. He had also kept it a secret for once it was out, his family would murder Camilie, or perhaps Hayley would do it herself. He still hadn't found the wolf acquaintance of hers, but he would soon. He was going to come clean at the end of the ball, but it all boiled over by then, and she chose to oust him and Camilie by funking that bastard Sergio. He had never seen so much red marring his vision. The fucker was a dead man for all his lifetimes had Hayley not gone as far as to kill Camilie to protect him and then she had left, without a word. Fled, away from him. His raw instinct exhorted him to chase her to ends of earth and darg her back but his family had vehemently opposed him and Elijah had talked him down emphasising on Hayley needing time and some space. His second instinct was to hunt down the bastard Sergio, chop him into pieces, and display his head as a decoration on the mantle piece, the only thing stopping him was that he didn't wish to hurt Hayley anymore than he already had though the fact that she felt something for that fucker or any other made him want to burn down the world. But if Hayley needed time, he would give it to her, for they both had eternity at their disposal. And he could always kill the bastards who had dared to look her way later. And anyways his vampires were tailing Hayley every now and then to ensure her safety. Whatever the current state between them, he would never leave his little wolf at the mercy of his enemies. While she was far from defenseless, he needed this peace of mind.
And his sources informed him she would be returning to New Orleans soon and Klaus had never heard sweeter words than these before. Now he would reclaim his little wolf, his Queen even if he had to grovel for all eternity.
What had confused Klaus, however, was the fact that Hayley only slept with the bastard Sergio to get back at him and Camilie. However, what the hell happened to the proposal of the pack elder? After Hayley left, he had barged into the Bayou and coerced her beta Zelina into answering. He had nearly killed the woman for assuming the role of alpha as anyone other than his little wolf as the alpha was a preposterous thought. Since Hayley herself had appointed the woman in her absence, he would let it slide this once. With further coercion she divulged the fact that Hayley had not said anything to the elder at the moment because most of the pack was present to hear his proposal however later on she had almost slaughtered the elder in person for even insinuating such a suggestion. She had spent days after trying to make more developments in the pack system and had written countless rules the next alpha should follow. She had even ensured necessary facilities and amenities that would help the back prosper even in her absence so she wouldn't have to give Klaus up. It had taken every single shred of control to not go looking for Hayley for all this time, but now that she was finally returning, he couldn’t bloody wait.
Camillie
Camilie had noticed how distracted he was and tried to glue his attention to her but Klaus ended the dinner quickly and left. She had slipped in a potion she had received as a favor from the witches to get Klaus to sleep with her but no matter what she did , he always looked set on Hayley alone. She knew she would have to atone for what she did to her friends for the rest of her life and she would. She wanted someone like Klaus for herself but it would never be and she had made peace with that.
Klaus
He couldn’t stand the room in Abattior given how much it suffocated him and with his wayward thoughts sleep seemed unlikely so he settled for staring at the countless paintings of his little wolf filling his art studio for it was the only way he could placate the need to not go find her.
Hayley
The air of New Orleans made her too nostalgic. She wasn’t sure how she managed to stay away for so long. She knew Klaus's vampires were tailing her, and while she loathed it initially, she couldn’t help but like the gesture of him watching over her. After her anger had calmed down the violent need to go see, Klaus overtook her. She missed him so much. Were she not busy with observing and visiting other wolf packs and exterminating any threats to the Crescents, she would have gone mad. Bekah had called her to tell her Nik messed up once cause he was too drunk and that the bitch Cami must have slipped him something and she should return, Hayley had told her that even before that Klaus had become retracted, closed off. He stopped his surprise visits to Bayou or stopped being home altogether. Their spontaneous conversations became few and far in between in the days that followed, and she loathed it so much. The fact that he slept with Cami was the last nail in the coffin. Sergio, being the loyal friend that he is, had stuck with her all this time. It was after all his idea to take a trip back cause he couldn’t bear to see her unravel like that. "You need closure,Hayley. " And here she was. "Don’t zone out now. There's a procession here to welcome you," whispered Sergio from behind her. She snapped her attention back to present, and indeed, most of her pack and the entirety of the Mikaelson family save for Klaus were here to greet her. The first family she ever truly had. Tears welled up, but she stifled them like she stifled the pang of pain at Klaus's absence. She vamped to them and hugged Bekah first, who almost crushed her into a hug, not intent on letting go. Di(Davina), Freya, and Keelin joined in immediately after. Separating from the ladies she offered Elijah, Kol , Marcel, and Vincent a huge grin, they all reciprocated before greeting Zelina and the rest of the pack. "You have to come to the Abattior, Hayley, no questions asked. We will kick Nik out for a few days if need be." She laughed at the suggestion. She chanced a glance at Sergio, who was obviously staying pit far enough to not interfere but near enough to hear everything. "Hotel," He mouthed. Hayley nodded, partly sorry that she was making Sergio stay in a hotel alone but it would be far more unfair to make him stay with her and God knows what Klaus would do to him this time if he even shows up , Cami's probably keeping him busy. She shook that thought away. She wouldn't let it dampen her mood. What Klaus had done was on his head alone. The rest of the Mikaelsons are still her family. She was sure they saw Sergio and especially pleased to see no hostility towards him. With a final glance at Sergio, she left with the Mikaelsons.
Gods she had missed the Abattior, it had been her home for so long. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Klaus standing at the gate. "Welcome back, Hayley. There's much to talk about but a family dinner first? I will excuse myself." Hayley was stunned beyond words. Did Klaus just agree to leave the compound just so she could spend time with people who were his family first? Before she could speak, he vamped out. "Niklaus doesn't stay here much. He misses you far too much to be able to live here without you." Elijah offered. She wasn't sure what to say. "Cami's then?" "Of course not. The mansion just outside city bounds. Nik doesn't sleep with her, I told you it was a one-time thing, but she is still his therapist. I told you she slipped him something. " "Bekah, let's just eat." The spread was definitely Mikaelson style. There was everything in abundance, but she was sure she spotted all her favorites. "Nik directed the menu." This astonished her far more. The evening was perfect. She enjoyed it to her heart's content, and yet she missed Klaus madly. Damn it. Bekah had told her there was a surprise for her in her room. She was both anxious and excited, but she had not expected that. The few legal complications she had while expanding the Bayou had stopped her from implementing a few of her ideas. It was the paperwork for that all done, settled, and funded. Attached to it was a letter and an elegant platinum chain with the pendant of Mikaelson seal and an M embossed on it. Apprehensive, she opened the letter,
"Dear Hayley,
Wherever you go whatever you choose, I want you to know that you will always and forever have a family and a home here. Whether or not I am included matters little, if you wish to live here little wolf, you only need to say the word and I will make myself scarce. This was your home, Hayley, and you were happy here. I will never forgive myself for what led you to lose it, but I made you a promise, little wolf. If I need to kneel and beg and grovel for it, I will, but please give me a chance. A single chance. I once came to this city to conquer it, to make it my Empire, but it's far too empty without my Queen. Even if you choose to not give me a chance, know you will be just in your actions but I still beg you, stay here, with a family that loves you and the one that you love, with a pack that needs you. Of course, your companion Sergio is also welcome to stay if you desire, no harm will befall his life, you have my word. You told me you didn't wish to see me ever again and I am sorry to have shown you my face little wolf but I simply couldn't leave without having a glimpse of you. I love you, Hayley, I always have, my Queen and my little wolf.
Yours and yours alone , always and forever,
Klaus ."
Her legs failed her as she dropped to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably." Klaus " was the only thing she could manage to say. So she sobbed his name because it's the only person she wants, needs, and loves so much.
"I made a grave mistake, little wolf, one that you can hold me accountable for all eternity. But it took me a thousand years to find you, so even if it takes me another thousand to earn your forgiveness, I will do whatever it takes." Her head snapped up at that gentle voice. "Klaus..." He was kneeling beside her in a flash. "Tears don't become you, little wolf. I am sorry for causing you such pain." "No Klaus, please don't go... We will find a way, and we will make it work." He kissed her forehead softly with such love, Hayley couldn't breathe. "Thank you, little wolf." "Zelina told me what happened Klaus, it's not going to be easy to move past this stuff, but I love you, Klaus, and we have an eternity together. "My thoughts exactly, little wolf."
It took a while, a lot less groveling and far more honest effort at openness and communication. But it worked, they were happy, just a little bit if Fairplay and yet it could have cost them all their happiness but fairness to each other brought them back. For two people who saved each other from their darkest times, there would be no such thing as an end. Together and in love, Always and Forever.
Please let me know if you like it. I myself didn't like that ending at so thanks for giving me a chance to rewrite it.
