The Necluda Megapod is a superpod of 8k+ members consisting primarily of the Zorphin sub-species of Zora. Because the Megapod as a whole practices site fidelity over migration, unlike many other seafaring cetacean Zora, they have developed a rich culture and civilization alongside their trade allies and neighboring cultures.

The Necluda Megapod is known for being welcoming, friendly, and altruistic in how they tend to their community. Fights and scrimmages are known to break out with so many big personalities, but overall they live a happy and very active lifestyle!

Rules to follow when making an oc for the pod

1. Do NOT make ocs biologically related to my ocs w/o permission. I put a lot of love into my ocs and have had people force write OCs into my characters' backstories as friends/family to try and force a dynamic against my wishes. So making blood related ocs to specific characters of mine is restricted to mutuals who ask for permission. 2. Do NOT make ocs romantically paired with mine. Now I LOVE shipping and character dynamics for friendships/ rivalries/ romance, so the topic is not an issue! But it has to be earned and it's not just given out the gate. I like characters to have chemistry first and for feelings to develop organically. However, this doesn't mean your oc isn't allowed to have a crush on mine! Your oc can have whatever feelings you’d like about mine, just dont force reciprocation from me. 3. However, if you wish to pursue romance between our ocs you MUST BE 18+. I will not ship OCs with minors. 4. If making ocs for the Necluda Megapod or mentioning the Necluda Megapod in your own works, I MUST be credited by @‘ing songofnewlife or my mun blog eve-of-halloween. Pod Dynamics

The Megapod has about 8,000 members but is made up of smaller sub-pods consisting of 20 to 400 members.

Sub-pods do NOT follow matriarchal lines like many other cetaceans. Because the Necluda Mega-pod is predominantly members based on the short-beaked common dolphin and follows many of their irl dynamics! This means sub-pods are a bit random and ever-changing. Some are separated based on sex, some age, some are only nursing mothers and babies, some are split into family lines, some are made up of mix-podding with other species, and many have unrelated males and females podding together, and it's not uncommon for them to swap pod members around within the Megapod.

Necluda Pod members are VERY sociable and are usually friendly and very playful! They are known to be altruistic in nature and actively help out injured members of their group.

Necluda Pod members usually only hunt at night! And spend the day resting or playing.

Every member of the pod has a vocal call unique to them!

Every member makes their own accessories to differentiate themselves from the Megapod. They value standing out as unique individuals. The way they design this accessory will become the song of their life!

It takes a village! Necluda members all help in the rearing of the pod's children! Once the babies are weaned from their mothers, the pod takes over teaching the little ones the ways of their culture, giving Mama a well-deserved break!

The Necluda megapod ONLY lives in the warm seas of Hyrule and rarely ventures north of the Necluda sea! Because they live in the warm seas, they are able to have babies year-round, unlike pods of the same species or different species that migrate or live in colder climates that only have babies in selected times of the year.

Interbreeding and Intermixing is extremely common and welcomed in the pod! Because of the pods' value of individuality, they like to keep their gene pools large, and you’ll find many Zora of other species, from whales to sharks, to other dolphins and even fish who have found themselves part of the pod! And you’ll find even more babies that display mixed ancestry.

Members born of a Necluda Megapod Cetacean (dolphin or whale) will always be the result of a live birth. But if they have an egg-laying mother (ex: fish) they can be born from an egg. The pod is very defensive of nurseries, and fathers and grandfathers will violently protect babies or eggs from intruders.

When a Pod member dies, the entire pod will perform a ritualistic burial where they will sing their “song of life,” a melody composed of notes that depict the course of their life as depicted in their accessories, with each bead, shell, or bone representing a unique note and life event.

I can't believe I actually finished the Rough Draft for Chapter 1 in Elvaria: Boundary Breakage!

Now all I gotta do is send it to my Beta Reader through Discord (once they wake up), get their feedback, incorporate changes they suggest (if any) and then once they think it's good, send it to my sibling to get the Final Verdict on if it should be ready or not to port it to AO3 and get my first ever fanfic posted!

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I'M ACTUALLY THIS CLOSE TO GETTING MY FIRST FANFIC OUT INTO THE WORLD! I already had some experience growing as a writer from roleplaying (SFW of course, because I don't do NSFW at all, never have and never will) on Discord and I feel like my writing has improved since then!

The images below feature two separate timelines: one for Hermitcraft Season 8, and one for Season 9. These timelines feature prominent/notable events that have been posted about, drawn for, written for, etc. Basically, every major post from this au has ended up/will go on the season timeline it belongs! 

Each event is labelled by the title it was given wherever it's linked elsewhere on the Master Post: in most cases, these posts are linked on their respective Character Post Lists. For Example, the post named 'Etho Tries Syncing with Bdubs' on the Masterpost will be labelled as such on the timeline. Additionally, each event is color-coded by character!

Additional Notes: 

Any grey-colored events on the timeline refer to events that have been referenced/discussed in some capacity but have no unique drawing, writing, or otherwise post dedicated to it (for example, Etho shutting down at the end of Season 8 is placed on the S8 timeline despite nothing being drawn for it yet). 

The black ticks throughout the timeline were marked for my own reference as indications of the IRL timeline of months throughout which videos were released, but they aren’t labeled as such, because I don’t headcanon time passing at the same rate in minecraft as it does in real life (i.e, Season 8 lasted about six months IRL, but I imagine it lasting about a year or so in canon, so it’s not 1 to 1). Basically, the ticks were placed as a guide for me as I continue to figure out where to put everything, but they’re not strict “monthly” markers or anything. 

Similarly, each Life Series is expanded slightly on their locations on the timelines, since I also headcanon time moving differently on the Life Series servers compared to Hermitcraft. From a Hermitcraft-side perspective, players are gone for approximately… 3ish weeks (give or take), whereas players actively participating on the Life server will have been gone for what feels like 2-3 months to them. It’s also not 1 to 1 here, so I just expanded the Life Series sections and then ticked them off by Session Number (Last Life having 9 ticks/sections, Double Life having 6 sections, etc). This makes placing any Life Series events accurately (while stuff is still happening on Hermitcraft) a little easier!

👁️Overview 

Late last year, I rather belatedly discovered Mononoke’s 15th anniversary came and went, and with it, an entire swath of new content to manically pore over. This is an illustration of the various Mononoke merchandise, props, and set dressing I discovered.

🔎Scope

Some fun facts regarding the work that went into this illustration!

Not including research time, this project ran for roughly two months, consuming much of my waking hours outside of my full time and freelance jobs.

While the illustration does not depict all of my findings, it does feature over 120 unique props and set dressings!

The majority of the props and set dressing were modeled to varying degrees of detail in SketchUp.

To model prep, I often put together schematics on Photoshop or Illustrators. Some were created from scratch. Others were created with the liberal usage of the Photoshop transform and perspective warp function. 

The master file is 1.5GB. The dimensions are 6400x3600 at 300 dpi, and contains over 2,200 layers. 

Near the end of production, the master file became so unwieldy I created a separate working file. This way, I could create assets lag-free then import the layers into the master file.

🗳️3D Layout

As you can see, the backbone of this illustration is the 3D model. I spent perhaps 30-40% of my production time on this stage.

And this is the lit version. The lighting ultimately got downplayed in favor of showcasing the vibrant colors. I like how simple it looks though!

🎬Production-Based Set Dressing

In addition to merchandise, I wanted to insert set dressing and props from the various Mononoke productions. 

🦊Kusuriuri

It’s odd to have a section dedicated just to him, but his unique appearance warrants it. His garb and overall appearance is an amalgam of the anime and movie. The original intent was ambiguity– kind of like the blue/black vs. yellow/white dress phenomena a few years back. But after doing the color flats, I rather liked how the rich, unaltered colored fit with the overall composition so it became more blatant. I’m surprised that nobody has commented on this since I published the illustration. Maybe because I didn’t feature him in a close-up?

🐈 kai ~Ayakashi~Bake Neko (2006)

Finding props iconic to this story arc (outside of the Kusuriuri’s tools of trade, of course) was somewhat difficult. While the environment was richly decorated, it mainly consisted of 2D artwork which I wasn’t keen on retracing. I opted to paint objects that characters interacted with or featured heavily in the show.

☂️Mononoke: Karakasa (2024)

Pretty slim pickings for the new movie since I only had the teaser, first trailer, and movie poster to reference from. Kusuriuri’s tools of trade were a given, but finding memorable and narratively significant objects was a tad troublesome.

Thankfully, the set dressing ended up (however subconsciously) strikingly similar to the movie’s environment design, down to the green tatami and multicolor shoji screen. I suppose at this point I was so immersed in Mononoke content that its aesthetics subconsciously informed my design choices!

i run a blog that recommends the best methods for things like tucking packing binding and padding/stuffing i also try to spread general safety resources for trans, gnc, and intersex, and queer people in general.

the plan is to put links for all my recommendations then have a link to another post that explains things like instructions, safety, and how to wash and care for and alter what I recommend. if you want to see all the notes use #notes (my intro post is linked here, I want to keep the master list pinned instead of it and one more thing) Why don’t I have a DNI?

before we get started if all of this is too much text I have a version of this where it’s all the same things without as much text

And I’m always open for questions or requests I’ll do specific research on any items you ask about to answer whatever questions anyone sends. That’s the other main thing this blog is for, more than willing to answer questions and do research for you all.

So I saw some comic dubs of your Tiny Jay series, but have been struggling to find the first one so I can start reading in order, every time I think I'm getting close tumbler crashes or I accidentally click off your page amidst my aggressive scrolling, ECT.

Anyway, I know some tumbler users with a sirease like that connect them, their linked or something, I don't actually know how they do it I'm fairly new to tumbler, but hopefully you know what I'm talking about. (Casey Apocalyptic Series is an example of this) I wanted to ask if you would ever consider doing that for your Tiny Jax comics to make accessing all of them in order a bit easier. If you don't know how/don't want to, trust I will find a way to read them all. But I wanted to ask first.

HELLO!! OHMYGOD!! I found your blog bc I was searing for bear(six) fics and found your fic, gifts which lead me to reading some of your other writings and!! Baker Simon is my favorite I've read so far!!! It's so sweet, I love it! Poor si getting all flustered at seeing such a pretty bird in his house, touching his arms n soft tummy when taking the profile picture. Doesn't want to admit his nerves when you leave and begin to work on the pictures, feeling his heart rate pick up in his chest when he hears his phone ping, hoping it's you with a new message. Even if it is to send the pictures you've edited by him. BUT ALSO! clearly, reader is into tech at least somewhat right? What if he gets their help to also re vamp his little marketplace page, he's an older man now n his fingers are too thick for any of tha' delicate stuff you do wi'h all them pictures, darl'

“Is it really tha’ bad?”

     You spin in Simon’s office chair to look at him with a sheepish smile. He grunts in embarrassment, running one hand over his face. 

     “Fuckin’ ‘ell.”

     “No, Si, it’s n-not that bad!” You try to reassure him, grabbing his wrist and pulling him closer. “It’s just a little…”

     “Hideous?”

     “Stop that! It’s just a little outdated,” you smack his arm playfully before facing the desk once again. “I can see why you’re not getting very many sales.”

     Simon rolls his eyes, caging you in with his big arms as his head hovers above your shoulder. His proximity makes your breath catch in your throat and your hand shakes a bit as you grab the computer mouse, wiggling it around to click on a link. It takes you to his files, where you’ve downloaded every edited picture you sent him. 

     “Alright, old man. Get out and let me work my magic,” you click your tongue, feigning cockiness.

     “Kickin’ me outta my own room?” He teases, ruffling your hair. 

     “Bitching to the girl who’s saving your business?” You swat his hand away and raise an eyebrow, giggling at his dramatic sigh.

     “Don’t blow up my damn computer.”

     Simon exits his office and heads to the kitchen, figuring that if he can’t help you out with all that digital stuff, he might as well do something he’s actually good at. He gathers the ingredients for a fruit tart—one of his favorite things to make, but something he’d never consider selling. The cost of ingredients is way too high for it to be a sustainable menu item, with the amount of fruit necessary just to make a single tart.

     By the time Simon puts the tart pan in the oven and the custard in the fridge to cool, you’re already finished revamping both his Marketplace page and a website you’ve created for his business. You call him back into his office and show him everything you’ve done—his menu is the same, but you’ve made it easier to read; you put a link to the order form on his website in his bio and in a pinned post on his Facebook page; you even updated his profile picture and header photo without him having to ask. As you explain everything to him, all Simon can do is hum and nod.

     “Do you like it, Si? I can change up anything you’d like me to. If you need an example order to see how the form works, I can… Simon? You okay?” 

     Simon’s eyes are no longer focused on the computer screen, but on you. Soft and warm, full of admiration and something… deeper that you can’t quite understand. He tilts your chin up with a crooked finger, leaning in close.

     “Perfect, lovie,” he murmurs, closing the minute gap between the both of you.

     You gasp a bit but instantly return the kiss, resting your hands on his wide shoulders. When he pulls away, you sit back in the chair, assuming that the moment is over. Simon has other ideas, though, bending down to grab your arms and wrap them around his neck. 

     “Best ‘old on, sweet’eart,” is all the warning he gives you before hooking his arms beneath the back of your knees and lifting you out of the seat. 

     You wrap your legs around his waist at the same moment he reconnects his lips with yours. Heavy footsteps stumble backward until he reaches the wall, then flips you around so that he can press you up against it. Simon kisses you like it’s the last thing he’ll ever do, sucking and biting and breathing every ounce of you in as though trying to immerse himself in you. He allows his hands to run up your thighs, his knuckles causing your skirt to hike up. The sudden rush of cool air makes you shiver in his grasp, nails grazing the back of his neck. 

     “Bloody angel,” he whispers into your mouth. “D’ya know wha’ ya do t’me? Hm? I fuckin’ dream about ya.”

     “Simon,” you gasp, allowing your head to fall back against the wall as he buries his face in the crook of your neck. 

     “Tell me wha’ ya wan’, baby,” he instructs, peppering kisses along your pulse point. “Any fuckin’ thing ya wan’, ya can ‘ave it.”

     “Simon,” you breathe his name once again, whining when you feel his hot tongue dragging up the slope of your neck before sharp teeth tug at your earlobe. 

     “Say it, sweet’eart.”

     “I-I think your timer is going off,” you murmur.

     Simon pulls his face away from your neck to look at you for a moment, incredulous. Sure enough, the timer he’d set for the crust is going off, and he curses under his breath, gently allowing you back onto your feet. You giggle, following quickly behind him as he shuffles his way into the kitchen. 

     “Well, it smells delicious,” you tease, watching intently as he pulls the pan out of the oven and sets it onto a cooling rack.

     Simon stretches, cracking his neck and turning to face you yet again. 

     “You taste better,” he hums nonchalantly.

     You’re pretty sure that statement just made your brain melt out of your ears.

     He looks more determined than before, swaggering towards you with a gleam in his eye that sends heat spiraling in your belly. He cages you in against the island and your breath hitches, your eyes unsure of where they should look. They settle on his own, wide and pleasantly surprised, when he hoists you up onto the counter. His warm hands spread your thighs and he settles between them, trailing his thick fingers up until they tangle into your hair. You close the space this time, all too eager to feel his lips on yours again. 

     Despite how cold the countertop is against your bare skin, you are perfectly warm, surrounded by his body heat, intoxicated by the way his tongue slides over yours. Your hands sneak beneath his shirt and caress his abdomen before grabbing his ass to pull him closer. He huffs with amusement, smiling into the kiss. It only encourages you to squeeze him harder.

     “Cheeky girl,” he nips at your bottom lip. 

     Simon pulls you closer to the edge of the counter. One hand stays secured around the back of your neck while the other dips down between your plush thighs, pinky finger skimming the hem of your panties. You pant against him, hips bucking to encourage his hand to go further.

     “Ya wan’ my fingers?” He questions softly, pressing his forehead against yours.

     “Yes, yeah,” you mumble, grabbing his wrist desperately. “Please, Si, I need you.”

     The man pulls you in for another kiss, his middle fingers finally slipping past the fabric barrier separating his touch from where you need him most. He groans lowly at the warm, smooth sensation of your slick coating his fingertips.

     “Fuckin’ ‘ell, ya so wet,” Simon laughs breathlessly. “All f’me, love? I did this t-”

     A loud knock interrupts his sentence. He throws his head back in annoyance, shutting his eyes tightly, silently willing whoever the hell it is to go away so that he finally gets the chance to indulge in you. In addition to the knocking, the uninvited guest incessantly rings the doorbell over and over again. 

     “Simon, ah ken ye’re ‘ome! Open the fookin’ door, ye big lug!”

     Although you’ve never met him, judging by that unmistakable accent and the displeased growl that escapes from Simon, it’s not hard to identify Johnny MacTavish. 

     “M’gonna kill him,” he snarls, carefully removing his hand from your core and replacing your panties back where they belong. “Sorry, sweet’eart.”

     “Nothing to apologize for,” you assure him, thanking him with a sweet kiss as he helps you off of the counter before making his way to the front door. 

     “Wha’ the fuck d’ya wan’, Soap?” Simon swings the door open to reveal a beaming man looking up at him. 

     “Soap? Didnae think we were still on callsign terms,” Johnny pushes his way past the larger man and plops down on the couch like he owns the place. “Sae, wha’re ye doin’?”

     “Not me, thanks to you,” you chime in, biting back a cackle when the Scot’s head whips around in shock. 

     “Si-Simon, wha- who- ye-?!” He sputters, much to your amusement. 

     You stroll over to the blond and press a gentle kiss to his cheek, patting his shoulder fondly. 

     “Forgot to upload your menu to the website. I'll be in your office if you need me,” you wink, then send his friend a small wave. 

     Simon hums in agreement, giving your ass a playful swat as you walk away. Even as you shut the door to the office, you can still hear Johnny’s flabbergasted rambling.
