(Long post alert) - From left to right we have: a wishlist topper, impulse buy, and too good a deal to pass up.

Starting with Remember Patience Whipple from A Journey to the New World. Mem was the last doll I needed for my Dear America collection. I had missed out on a New In Box (NIB) listing back in August, and the only other one I could find had some obvious wear. I saved it, but kept looking. Then I found another NIB, which I immediately purchased.

Mem arrived, and she was NIB, but the previous owner hadn’t stored her well. The diary was faded and her outfit was covered in mildew spots. After vigorous soaking and washing I got it mostly clean, but now she smells like a swimming pool. Of all the four dolls that I got second-hand, she is the only one that came with a teaching kit.

Like I’m doing with Caty and Abigail, Mem will share Felicity and Elizabeth’s clothes. She will also wear a few of the Disney Princess outfits.

Next up is Miss AG Bear. Not normally something I would have gone for, but I was drawn in by her sweet expression. There’s a charm about her, and I like that they made a few outfits to match girls and dolls. This one is wearing the 1995 Mix and Match outfit. The previous owner had covered the hat in Grin Pins, which is why there are so many dark circles. I might look for a replacement hat, but the rest is in great shape.

Last we have Molly Jean McIntire. To tell the truth, Molly has never been one of my favorites. She has always been a “maybe someday” purchase, and the circumstances would have to be just right. Well, I saw a Marketplace listing for her that included a few extra AG items (not from Molly’s collection) all for less than the retail price of the doll. Aside from slightly loose limbs and a little dog hair, she is in excellent condition. I’ve already listed the extra stuff I didn’t want.

Part of the reason I decided to get Molly was because I had purchased her collection from the AG end-of-season sale, so she already has her school, birthday and camp outfits waiting for her.

i think maybe i've gotten like. well i got a 20/21 once and then it got reblogged with the proper mark so i think that's the closest i have gotten without spamming*. which i mean i am fine with because it's pretty hard to squeeze some of em in (like i know i put braces in but almost nobody uses them)

Maddie is a BAMF. Like, when Celia got kidnapped she only escaped because of her overactive gifts, and even then she was traumatized. But when Maddie got kidnapped, she just walked it off, and afterwards she was like “oh yeah wasn’t that kinda fun and silly 🤪”
