If/when you catch him smoking he becomes sorta embarrassed. He doesn’t necessarily want you knowing he does something deemed “bad”. But if you smoke too, he’ll be less embarrassed- but he will then be concerned for you.

He first met you when you were walking out in the town trying to meet everyone. He was skateboarding and almost ran straight into you. He of course apologized- or well, tried too. Your beauty, and the fact he had never seen you before, caught him off guard and left him sorta speechless.

“Oh shit- am so sorry, I didn’t.. see… wow” is all he sorta got out before just sorta staring at you. It took a moment for him to snap out of it and realize you were talking to him

“Oh, right. I’m Sam” he had quickly said while sticking his hand out for you to shake. “Your must be the new farmer, huh? Well nice to meet you” he said with a sorta dazed look. He even kept staring as you walked off and out of his sign(bro was entranced).

After that he’s normally a flustered mess around you, but he is trying to act cool the entire time. It gives Abigail and Sebastian second hand embarrassment the stuff he says/does in front of you to try and impress you.

He one time tried doing a skateboard move in front of you, he move he had never done before. Long story short he landed right on his face and gained a bloody nose, you did However run over to him and make sure he was ok and helped him back to his house. Abigail and Sebastian NEVER let him live it down…

He had came home after going to the beach one day and you were in his house giving his grandma some fresh fruits and vegetables.

He immediately noticed your bright and dazzling smile and the way you seemed genuinely happy to help someone.

Before you left he had came up and introduced himself and got your name. He was sorta being a jerk without realizing it tho…. But it’s ok because he’ll get better the more you get to know him.

That night he sorta just laid in bed and kept picturing your smiling face and how happy you were to meet him. He didn’t realized you liked you tho… he just thought he really wanted to be your friend…

After that He constantly ask if you wanna play some sort of sport with him or workout with him, which you often have to decline because of how demanding working on the farm is. The few times you have accepted were quite fun tho.

He is constantly boasting about how strong and athletic he is, how he’s gonna go pro one day, and how he’s a ladies man…. He does like hearing about your work on the farm tho. He believes it would be a good workout for him to come help you some days(totally not because he wanna hangout with you).

I hope this wasn’t toooo bad for my first actual post lol. If there’s any critiques or constructive criticisms am completely ok with it, just please be nice about it.

Rain looks up from where he's hunched over his phone, finds Dew sitting on the counter with a baggie of Swedish Fish. He swings his feet and holds a gummy fish between two fingers, making it swim through the air. Rain can see how red his eyes are from here, and even though the air hangs heavy with with the scent of popcorn he can still smell the remnants of weed wafting from him.

"Dunno," Rain shrugs. He supposes he could look it up, but that would interrupt his valuable mindless scrolling time. There's only so much time between screenings in their dinky little theater, he has to take what he can get. "You should ask someone Swedish."

Dew hops off the counter, stretching both arms over his head. His uniform polo slides up, reveals a pale strip of skin above low-slung jeans, and Rain snaps a quick picture for future reference.

(He has a Thing for Dew's bony hips, so sue him.)

"You're no fun," Dew pouts, slouching over to Rain's side of the concession stand. He drapes himself over Rain's back, sighing heavily. The little baby hairs thay have escaped his bun tickle Rain's cheek, make his nose scrunch up.

"I'm tons of fun," he deadpans, holding up his phone and displaying an article about the mating habits of Atlantic salmon as though that proves something. Dew doesn't even glance at it, too busy snaking his arms around Rain's shoulders and nosing at his hair.

"You smell like coconuts," he giggles, woefully stoned. He sniffs at those dark curls until Rain starts to squirm, reaching back to poke him in the ribs.

"How high are you?" Rain chuckles, still tipping his head when Dew starts drifting towards his neck.

"This's what happens when you don't share with me," the blonde mumbles, chapped lips grazing Rain's throat. "I roll for two and have no self control."

Well, he's not wrong about that last part. Rain thinks back last week, when Dew had spent the night at his place. A quiet evening spent smoking and playing video games, until they were both too stoned to do anything but snuggle and watch TV. Rain had ordered them a pizza, grabbed it from the driver in a haze of smoke and set it on the couch with a quick announcement about needing to piss. He'd been gone for maybe ten minutes - most of which had been spent forgetting where he was while he washed his hands - and by the time he'd gotten back Dew had managed to scarf down six massive slices covered in pepperoni and pineapple all on his own.

"Don't I know it," Rain grumbles, reaching up to give the little guy an affectionate noogie. Dew nips at his jaw in retaliation, slinking around to Rain's front. Dew weasels his way into his lap, slinging his arms around Rain's neck with a smile. He leans in to lick at the spot he bit, and the way the ball of his tongue piercing glides over his skin makes Rain's eyelids flutter. He tosses his phone onto the counter in favor of holding the bony hips he loves so much.

"Y'know," Dew lilts, swaying in his lap, "we got some time before the next show." He scoots impossibly closer, until their chests meet and Dew can rub their noses together. Rain can feel his piercings through his shirt, and a little tingle runs through him. He slips one hand from Dew's hip to give his barely-there ass a quick squeeze, long fingers sneaking up the back of his shirt.

"We do," Rain nods, fingertips grazing the ultra soft peach fuzz at the base of Dew's spine. His eyes drift to Dew's mouth, wide and pink and curled at the corners in a mischievous little grin. "Wonder what we could do until then..."

Dew's smile gains a sensual edge, his eyelids drooping and the tip of his tongue poking out between crowded teeth. He slips his fingers into Rain's curls, blunt nails scratching at his scalp, and Rain shivers when Dew leans in close. He waits for a kiss that will undoubtedly taste of weed and raspberry flavoured candy.

Instead, Dew kisses his cheek and moves to whisper in his ear. His breath ghosts over Rain's skin, warm but shiver-inducing, and he makes his request.

Rain snorts.

"I don't know, but it's pointless. I wanna go look at cool bugs outside!!"

"Well, I wanna go finish my chemicals. Something useful."

"Omg, Neil. You sound just like David." Max.

"And that campers-" David was cut off by Max talking. The kid was pretty quiet, but his voice carries theough the whole room. So if he's trying to whisper, he's really not. "Um, Max? Do you mind letting me finish on what I'm gonna say? Pretty please?"

"No. David. What you have to say is ridiculous and utterly pointless." Max started to get up walking over to the counselor.

"Ugh, here he goes again." Neil brought his elbow placing it on his knee, tilting his head to rest on his hand.

Max faced the audience. "I say we ruin this joint, and take matter into our own hands. Muahhahaah. Who's with me?!" He brought both of his arms above his head like a chant, laughing mischeviously. Only for them to come crashing down with a yelp because he felt an oddly familair lil tickle at his armpits. "FUHUCK!! DAVID!! DON'T FUCKING TICKLE ME!!"

"This is what you fucking get David! For always tickling the shit out of us!!!" Max exclamied, squeezing his ribcage. Niki had his feet, Neil had his knees, Preston had his neck, Ered had his armpits, Nerris had his sides, Harrison had his hips, Dolph had his thighs, Spacekid had his navel, and Nerf had his stomach. They were all squeezing, kneading, and scritching his limbs. He had no where to go, but then again, does he really want to?

"AHAHAHAHAH!! GUHUHUYS!! Friehehehends! PLEHEHEHASE!! GaH!! IHIHIHIT'S toooo MUHUHUCH!!!"

"MUAHAHAHAH! MUAHAHAHAH!!" Max seemed to be the one enjoying it the most. I mean, of course he would, David tickled him the most out of all the other campers. This was HIS time to shine. "How you like that, Da-vid?! You don't like it when we tickle you till you past out, huh?!"

"Wow, Max had some built up anger." Neil looked at him, then looked at Niki to see if she agreed, but she was too focused to even realize.

"GaHAHAHAHahahahaAHHAHAHAH!!" David couldn't really move around that much since he had alll of the campers on him. But he was kinda enjoying it. Max smiling for the first time in a while, well it's not a genuine smile, but it was still plastered on his face. The older counsler enjoyed this, not just because he was getting tickled, but becuase of the fact that all the campers were having fun. Yh, maybe he was about to die, but it was still entertaining to watch.

Max questioned aloud, "Hey! Why aren't you begging us to stop?! Why arn't you pleading and crying for us to show you fucking mercy?!"

"MAJAHAHAHX, LANAGAGAGHUAGE!!" Even after all he's been going through, he still has the time to lecture a certain camper about his foul tone.

"No! I WANT YOU TO BEG US TO STOP!! IT'S MORE ENTERTAINIBG AFTER I BEGGED YOU COUNTLESS TIMES AND YOU WOULDN'T!! THIS TOTALLY BLOWS!! GWEN!!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM?!"

"Well, Max. David really loves getting tickled." David looked at her like he saw a ghost. How could she out him like that?! But David, You aren't really hiding it very well.

"What...? YOU LIKE THIS?! THAT IS IT! DAVID I HATE YOU!! NOW IT'S NOT FUN ANYMORE!!" Max got up from his spot, and went to the other side of the room to pout "It's just not fucking fair!"

But all of the campers didn't stop, because they could care less if he hated it or not, his laugh was really contagous. It sounds like a heyna and a little girl. Hgh pitched, squeaking, and a few snorts here or there if u get him really good.

This went on for a long time, till they got bored and let him up. David was breathless and panting, "God... you... guys got me... good."

Max was still upste, and the other campers got their fair share of torment on their counselor.

Loving your BreakBee fic! It's such a good story, I adore how you've written the characters so far. The terrans teasing Bee about being attracted to Breakdown is so good. Having Optimus in Bee's audial about Breakdown is sad though... but it's an excellent plot device, it makes sense that Poptimus prime isn't vibing with Bee going after such a bad boy... I can't blame him given that Bd kinda gives fuckboy who can't commit energy. And without getting nsft, the little bit where Bee is teasing and tells Breakdown "nope" while shaking his head is sooo good. It's just such a cute visual despite the not so innocent nature of the situation. I've been reading the fic on repeat, it's such so sweet and sad. I'm very excited for any future updates!! 🙏🙏🙏

“Bad Boy” certainly does encapsulate what Breakdown presents himself as XD And YES he’s giving biiiiiiig ‘f boy who can’t commit’ energy!! He does act that way on purpose, but I don’t want to give anything away as to why…just know there is more to Breakdown than we can see!

I’ve said this so many times before, but for it being my first time writing smut, I’m quite surprised by the love it’s been getting, truly! I was just messing around and letting their dynamics play out, and wooooooah boy it was quite fun!! Hopefully I can be motivated to write some more in the future, however it all depends on what the story and characters want! :) Bee and Breakdown teasing each other in equal yet different manners is my Roman Empire…I can’t stop thinking about them. hello there! 24F here looking for original fantasy-adjacent roleplays as i've finally got my creativity juice back after literal months.

to sum it up, i have two ocs i'm dying to use for this: one is the 8th son of a duke, seemingly the very picture of politeness with a noblesse oblige obsession, but who's actually super prejudiced and has an inferiority complex going on. the other grew up poor but thanks to his unrivaled swordsmanship achieved a high position in the military, but that never quenched his thirst for adventure so he left it all behind to go on a personal quest.

i'm pretty much down for anything, from platonic to romantic plots, but i also want to sprinkle a good bit of adventure. do you like swashbuckling novels? me too! we can be camp about it. i have a preference for m/m because it's my usual comfort zone, but i'm not opposed to m/f if we've got a fun plot to go with it. all i ask if that you don't bring me an oc who's one-dimensional or too passive. i try to make my characters as interesting and 3d as i can, so i expect the same from my partner. characters of color or who are trans are more than welcome.

despite my love for fantasy, i prefer if we can keep the replies not toooo long because it makes me lose steam pretty fast, unfortunately. around 4 paragraphs is my sweet spot, but it depends on each scene. i'm also open to smut, as long as it fits within the story. my characters are switches as i have the most fun when we can flip the dynamics, but please don't conflate what goes on in the bedroom with their real personalities.

im gonna talk about non-bily things for just a second before i start responding but- obviously I am usually the most sympathetic and understanding person when it comes to mental health, like i really fucking am- i think i have a pretty good handle on understanding it with most people- but my cousins girlfriend is getting a little ridiculous with the accommodations she's asking for and im starting to get suspect of her in a serious way.

Yesterday every single time i suggested something, even simple stuff like going on a walk, she was too /anxious/ for it. And like you know- i get it, i am also anxious. i also have ptsd and agoraphobia. But as the day went on everything i suggested got shot down like immediately. and everything she wanted to do was like /the biggest priority/.

I am totally willing to accommodate people for mental health issues, like always. But if you have say, a phobia of fish that is going to make you have a panic attack, you wouldn’t follow your boyfriend on a fishing trip? right?

She kept whining about her medication and not taking it and i'm like dude- i am all for finding what works for you and learning how to self soothe, but at the same time if you are someone who /needs/ to be medicated to take a boat ride- then you need to take that medication. it's kinda like getting sick and not wanting to take antibiotics, it's not like negotiable. You have tools available to you, use them.

At this point i feel like she's not taking it just to kinda keep my cousin waiting on her by hand and foot because it feels like every time we're just like- hanging out about to do something fun- she's like "nooooooo it's toooo much, i'm anxious about that." i don't know i think if i was in her position (and i have been in her position) you just say "hey i'm gonna go self soothe for a second you guys do your thing" like that would be the normal reaction, not to control him.

i'm over it at this point. i have suffered my entire life through the same issues and yet i do believe there is a line between letting it affect you and letting it affect a virtual stranger. i have met her like twice before this trip. i just wanna hang out with my fucking cousin without her controlling everything for two seconds.

last night my cousin walked me home cuz it was late and dark and the woods gets really fucking scary at night, this is very usual for us he's walked me home every night we've hung out since i was like 7, and she got all upset that we were gonna go without her, it was like 11. like we were all gonna go to bed and she could have easily just stayed back it was gonna take 10 minutes max for him to walk me. but of course she had to come, Only to make him turn around when we were 1/4 of the way home because she got anxious. At this point i'm extremely suspicious that it's just a jealousy thing, because West is honestly like one of my og besties, like we have great hang outs and i think she feels threatened by that and stops us and re-directs his focus back to her whenever he forgets she's there.

And now she doesn't even want to go for a hike today when that was the whole reason why he like fucking visited cuz i was gonna show him a fossil hunting spot before they move to hawaii and ugh. i am usually very very against judging people based off of their mental health struggles and how it affects them but at this point....i'm judging her a little. This has been more than a little frustrating.

🎞️: If you have movie nights, what kind of films do you enjoy watching with your f/o?

I am so selective about what media I watch especially cause I can be very sensitive to new stuff and get uncomfortable easily from it, so a lot of this is me subjecting Finn to like the same two or three movies that are like stuff that is marked E for Everyone. Though, depends how much you'd like to stretch the definition of movie, cause I've absolutely sat down with him and gotten all cozy together and like watched 1-2+ hour long videos or streams with him(if it's long enough of a stream we don't watch it in one sitting).

Finn is absolutely all over like very romantic sappy sorts of movies, ones that might get a bit emotional or labeled as cheesy. Though I try to make up for not being able to watch those with him by dousing him in affection while we watch whatever we do end up watching🥰

Though I absolutely wouldn't be surprised to every so often catch him watching some sort of suspenseful intricate thriller of some sorts.

🎃: How would carving pumpkins with your f/o go? What do you think theirs would look like?

It would be a mess(literally). I would get myself menacingly covered in pumpkin guts while cleaning it out and Finn would probably have to take the overcoat of his suit off and roll up his sleeves so he didn't get his suit messy and we'd both questionabley stare at eachother. I have had soooo many pumpkin ideas that I've wanted to do over the years but never wrote them down anywhere so when it does roll around I can't remember!

I'd probably do something simple and sweet though like a silly face with swirly eyes or a little cat face.. maybe do a reference to a show I like or such. I think Finn would do a classical spooky jack-o-lantern face, but it'd be carved a little toooo well...

Doing pumpkins together is such a cute sweet thought though and it will now be occupying my mind for the next forever.

🧦: Who puts their cold hands/feet on the other when cuddling?

This is the question where he points at me and I point at myself because we both know very well who the culprit here is. In MY defense, I've started occasionally giving him a ten second warning for when I'm about to do it, he could fend me off if he'd like. Hands belong on tummy!! At first it was just that but now I've gotten more devious about it and any spots like his neck or back aren't safe from my cold hands. And my hands can get cold often! And sweaty.

🌄: If you were picking out each other’s outfits for the day, what would your f/o pick for you, and what would you pick for them?

This would be relentless because he would probably yell me that it doesn't matter what I wear and it's not important, that maybe I should just stay in for the day, and I would not be spared from any and all praising from him. He'd probably use the opportunity to make me wear something really comfortable or cozy especially if it was during one of the colder seasons, cause then he can have me wear something soft and fluffy. I'd be like a little lamb or something! Sweaters and soft pajama pants, things like that. I'd probably be trapped in his arms for the rest of the day! Not that I'd mind at all hehe.

I almost don't know what I'd make him wear, too much power for me to hold!! But that man belongs in a sweater and sweater-vest combo, and yall can fight me on it. And then he'd inevitably be glued to me cause he's wearing something so soft and cozy and I wouldn't be able to let go of him augh!!

🧸: When one of you is feeling down, how does your f/o cheer you up, and how do you cheer them up?

It depends what kind of "down" feeling we're talkin about here! I'm just gonna go with it being just being sad or upset over something, and in that case it's moreso a matter of time for me till I get over it, but Finn absolutely helps try and ease me until I'm all better again. He'll bring me food or a drink that I like or if there's a particular one I want, and it typically ends with me being swaddled in blankets and I'm not allowed to leave the bed and I'm watching some lighthearted or relaxing or funny thing that I enjoy. After I finally manage to convince him that there's nothing else I need and that he doesn't have to fetch anything else for me, he'll come and join me and bundle me up in his arms.

It's not often that Finn gets awfully upset or distraught, or even really upset in general, so when I do notice he seems a bit off or down it's definitely a cause of concern for me. Normally letting him air out whatever is troubling him and talking it through with him helps a lot, but if there's nothing that we can actively do about it to fix or ease it, I simply just cradle him in my arms, rubbing his back or petting him hair, saying anything that I think might soothe him. Bonus points if I get him to fall asleep in my arms.

🌙: Do you remember your first Halloween with your f/o? What was it like and what did you do?

Truthfully, and slightly unfortunately, we didn't do very much on my first Halloween with him, cause I was feeling not very well at all at the time, and it had been badly interfering with me celebrating Halloween(which is unfortunate cause it's one of, if not, my favorite holiday), so we settled on just simply treating it like any other day, even if it still left me a bit gloomy. Course, Finn is a smart man, and since it was moreso one particular thing I was avoiding during Halloween, he decided to just navigate around that and still got some small treats for us to share like Halloween themed sweets and treats, or some pumpkin flavored things.

It nearly leaves me a little extra excited for this Halloween, simply because it'll almost be our 'first' Halloween, cause(knock on wood) we'll actually get to spend it in a bit more of a Halloween-y manner! Which, mostly just means decorating, probably pumpkins, and I get an excuse to dress up as a vampire again. Classical Halloween costume, never done me wrong, and I get to be all mysterious and secretive, and have a big cloak typically, it's perfect for me! No clue what Finn would be or if he'd even dress up, I had actually done some conspiring with Leland(a shared friend between us) about what it may be. Though now I'm thinking maybe there's an opportunity for vampire couple🥰 Normally couple costumes almost feell...boring? To me? But getting to be vampires together sounds silly and fun! Oh man, maybe I just gave myself an art idea....

🔥: Who gets colder easier? And who warms them up?

This is a very good question... cause neither of us are particularly portable heaters or anything, it's like we're both on the colder side and were destined to just have to share eachothers body heat to stay warm! I think he might be a bit warmer though simply just cause he has a big overcoat he wears everywhere and that helps a lot. I love it, it's so thick and heavy I kid you not it's like a weighted blanket!! Course, I've never really heard him audibly complain about being cold unless it's like SUPERR cold outside and like snowing or heavily snowing and stuff. But then again, he's rather reserved about some of his thoughts or feelings when it comes to picking one-or-the-other sorts of things, leading a lot of things to be up to me. Sometimes I swear he's bluffing with that though..

🪐: What small quirks does your f/o have that you love, and what quirks do you have that your f/o loves?

Whenever he's trying to make a statement, whether playfully or not, he does this thing where he'll lightly hit the side of his fist against the table once or twice. I don't know why but it makes me giggle whenever he does it! I've also catch him humming to himself quite often and he always gets a bit embarrassed about it, even if I like it. And it's impossible to bake anything with him without having him want to lick the whisk/spoon of the batter. He says the batter tastes better than the actual cake/brownies. I think he's a goober. But, I have had my moment of almost ruining a batch of oatmeal cookies cause I wanted to eat all of the batter, so, I can't entirely tease him about it.

I have this think where whenever I get something new, I have to check it over with all my senses(I would say "my five senses" but I'm not licking things that aren't meant to be licked!😖), and we've dubbed a few different terms and titles for it, but the biggest one is just me having to sniff/smell everything new I get. Food, plushie, pencil, book, flowers, clothes, toys, the inside of packages if they come in bags, so on and so forth! It amuses the daylights out of him and sometimes he'll just hand me things and prompt me with "sniff check." And I have to give my reports on it. I'd be concerned if something DIDNT pass the test, as it's almost more of just a way of me exploring the item in like a primitive way or something. I blame me not being neurotypical for it.

I think he'd make me wear that bee sweater he got for Halloween just because he knows how much I enjoy it. I can be very shy and limited in what i wear cause I fuss so much about how others will see me and for some reason part of my brain argues that there's no need to dress up unless I'm going out somewhere, which is nonsense, so I definitely think he'd use it as an excuse to have me wear something that he already knows I'd want to wear or would enjoy wearing and I just haven't had the nerve to chalk myself up to wearing it.

Okay, I actually had to do a little bit of thinking, but then it absolutely hit me, and I would love to see him in one of those V-neck cardigans with like one of those white undershirts on. I mean, the undershirt color doesn't matter so much, but it's like always a white button-up for some reason! I have a button collection of random buttons(I don't think any of them match), but I'd love to perhaps knit him one sometime and put the buttons on it, especially because most, if not all cardigans seem to have that very knitted look to them, and I think it just adds to the coziness of it! Or maybe I'd buy some like little star shaped buttons for the occasion....

🍄‍🟫: free gush pass to share anything you want!

Ough, oh me oh my, a gush pass! And so funnily enough I had just mentioned a little while ago on a gush pass post that I saw going around how much I love gush pass sorts of things cause I sometimes have trouble gushing unless I'm prompted to do so due to...reasons that would perhaps be a little closer to venting territory. But anyway! Oh, I nearly don't even know what to gush about over him, everything, perhaps??? I kid you not I can't look at the color olive or like any shade of it, or those flat caps, I can't see anyone else in them! I catch anyone wearing those whether real or not, my brain is just immediately thinking about him and it does not stop till it's out of my sight. I know this is like perhaps an obligatory statement, but he's really gotten me through some things. And sometimes I feel completely confident in myself, like not even an ounce of shyness in how I look and how my body is because I just sometimes get such a secure feeling that he loves every last bit of me, that truly he wouldn't want anything else. I think about him so much, so many things remind me of him and I get kinda emotional thinking about it if I'm honest! He's such a nice breath of fresh air. A rock to lean on, if you will. I love how much we'ved helped each other in so many ways. I feel like he actually loves me and my voice and who I am. I honestly don't think anyone could change my mind on it. I don't feel like some dumb American around him with some unflattering accent, I feel.. good. Like there's nothing wrong with that and that my accent is great. And it's fun giggling over how we pronounce certain things differently even with words we never expected. I spent so much time scrolling through like ASDA websites and watching people do grocery hauls from those stores on YouTube cause I like to really think about the differences in those stores, in what gets sold and different products, I just can't get enough of it. I watch videos of people doing those hour+ long videos of just silently walking or driving around different parts of the UK, I'm geniunely intrigued in that place at this point, wanting to learn about it's history and everything. I mean, Finn has also contributed to this as well because he is also from the UK but I'm keeping this Axlerod centered. He does this speech in the second movie that when I was going through a really rough time, nearly each day or every other day when I got home I would watch it, I'd turn on the movie sometimes just for that part, and I would cry so much to it cause it was just so comforting. He uses a voice changer during it to disguise himself a bit and I so wish I could hear it in his actual voice(someone actually uploaded a YouTube video of repitching certain parts so it is in his normal voice, and I love that more than I can explain), and it's just. He means so much to me. His wiki fandom page is so like.. horribly wrong and written I get nervous that people will look him up and see that and think it's true, which I have seen many wiki fandom pages be flat out wrong, but he has my whole heart. I associate so many silly things with him like sheep and bees and I love our inside jokes and I've written so many poems about him and.. one of the cars I want and kinda dream of having is a jeep wrangler. He's a land rover defender. We are literally practically the US and UK counterparts of eachother.
