The tension turns the air between them heavy as Spider draws his own gun up to his shoulder. 

And blinks again, only to open his eyes to another bloody sight.

Nearly all of them flung to the ground, their blood working its way towards the diving pool and turning the water pink. Their arms and legs spread akimbo, their eyes wide and sightless, staring up at him through the plexiglass when he steps over their bodies. 

He doesn’t comprehend that this is his doing, because it would be too much for his mind. Not when it’s already so fragile.

Dear everyone going through treatment for mental health,

It's normal. It doesnt make you crazy. You are doing the right thing trying to get help. I promise you it helps, even if at times it feels like it does nothing at all. Its baby steps, you dont get better immediately but that doesnt discount how much it helps. Therapy, mental hospitals, medications, and anything else is not something to be ashamed of.

Here’s my take on the whole audio books vs. reading:

Oral tradition of storytelling predates written ones by millennias, and honestly, which one you like is just a personal preference.

The actual difference is

when listening, you have no idea how to write characters’ names

when reading, you have no idea how to pronounce characters’ names
