"Where were you last night?"
You sighed at your uncle's question, sick and tired of explaining the same thing over and over again. He woke up earlier than he should have, especially for a man who worked night shifts at a warehouse. He did it on purpose, just to have more reasons to pick on you, and you knew that all too well. You lived through that hell for the past ten years.
"I told you, I was cat sitting."
"Cat sitting." He repeated with derision in his voice. "You need to get a real job."
"I have two real jobs." You reminded him, and it took all your willpower not to raise your voice at him.
"Where's the money, then? Huh?" Your uncle grabbed you by the wrist, twisting it backwards.
"I'm getting paid today!"
"How much?"
"660,326!" You cried out as his fingernails dug deeper into your skin.
"I better see that money on my nightstand by tomorrow morning." He let go of your wrist. "Keep the change."
How generous, you thought, rubbing the crescent-shaped dents in your skin. At least he didn't hit you, but your small victory crumbled when he turned on his heels, smacking you with the plastic fly swatter in his hand. Once. Twice. Thrice.
You didn't cry, not in front of him. Never in front of him.
But when you stepped through the doors of Mr. Hwang's penthouse, the dam broke, and tears streamed down your cheeks. They burned when they touched the cracked, swollen skin, courtesy of your uncle, but you still smiled at the sight of Eunjoo.
Instead of waiting next to the water bowl, like she had done before, the cat jumped on the countertop, her paw gently touching your wrist, where the imprinted dents of his fingernails were still visible. You didn't know why, but Eunjoo's gesture made you cry harder, heavy tears falling onto her plate.
"Good kitty." You sobbed, daring to pet her, and she allowed it, nuzzling your hand for the first time since you met her.
Without wasting a single moment, you took out your phone to take a selfie of you and Eunjoo, and sent it to In-ho, with the caption 'Making progress!' You thought he might be happy to see her slowly lower her guard and get attached to you.
Who hurt you?
Stupid. How could you be so stupid to send a selfie when your cheek was grazed and puffy? Of course Mr. Hwang would ask about it, he was a nice man, one whose kindness you didn’t think you deserved.
I accidentally walked into a lamppost! Silly, right?
Hoping that the lie would be convincing enough, you carried on with your tasks after eating with Eunjoo, and to your surprise, it worked. It fooled him, but you weren’t proud of yourself in the slightest.
You need to be more careful next time. If anything happened to you, who would take care of Eunjoo until I return?
It shouldn't have hurt reading his reply, and yet your heart ached. What did you expect? You were an employee, he obviously wanted his cat to be safe, not you. And how could someone like him even care about someone you? You came from different worlds that could never intertwine.
I will.
No thank you, no sad face — you were bitter, even though, rationally, you had no reason to be. Besides, you lied to him in the first place. Maybe if you told him the truth, he would have sent a different reply. It didn't matter. In less than five days he would come back, pay you and never speak to you again. Just like all rich people did.
You cleaned the bathrooms that morning, scrubbing the bath tubs, the toilets, the sinks and the floors until your fingertips stung and your head pounded from the bleach fumes. The vibration of your phone startled you, and you wiped your hands to check the notification.
Have I upset you?
Okay, maybe he did care. Or maybe he was just very observant and noticed your monotonous reply.
Not at all, I just have a lot on my mind. I'm sorry that you worried about me, or that I seemed upset! You're right, I need to be more careful next time.
Please don't take this the wrong way, miss, but I've never met anyone who apologised for making me worry about them. You're quite special.
You did a double take when you read Mr. Hwang's reply, and a wave of remorse crushed your heart. The man was too nice for you to lie to him, but you didn't want him involved in your family affairs, either. There was a strong internal conflict within you, a battle between honesty and dishonesty, but for the time being, dishonesty won, no matter how disgraceful it was.
Choosing not to reply, as time was ticking and the Abduls would be waiting for you soon, you swiftly finished tidying up the bathrooms and put away all the cleaning products so Eunjoo couldn't get to them. With the automatic feeder full, fresh water in the bowl and litter boxes clean, you left.
In all fairness, you didn't know what to reply to his text. No one called you special before, except for that one guy you dated who only wanted to sleep with you, and unfortunately succeeded. It wasn't your proudest moment, but you moved on since then. You stared at the text, typing a reply, then deleting it, then typing again, and you did that for the duration of the entire bus ride back to Guryong Village. By the time you knocked on Ali's door, you still hadn't come up with a response.
What could you even say? Thank you? Likewise? I'm sorry I lied to you, my uncle slapped me with the fly swatter? No. In telling the truth, Mr. Hwang would pity you, perhaps even offer you more money, or food, or clothes, and you didn't want to be pitied. You wanted your hard work to be recognised, not to use your social status or depressing background as an excuse.
Mrs. Abdul couldn't feed you that day, and that was fine. They needed to prioritise themselves, since they didn't live any better than you. Luckily, you saved enough money to buy a kimbap roll for lunch and a bag of rice crackers for dinner and breakfast. Resourcefulness was, perhaps, your strongest point and the reason you survived for so long.
The theme park was packed with tourists and locals, gathering to watch the parade, and you took the time to entertain children and take pictures with them, always on your feet, always working. Back in the dressing room, you took the comically large mascot head off, sweat dripping down your face and neck. Summers were worse — there were body parts you didn't think could sweat.
"Excuse me, Y/N?"
You looked up from your seat to a man around your age, a coworker named Donghyun. He had worked there for a few months or so, but you barely spoke.
"Yes?" You smiled, resting your elbows on the mascot head in your lap.
"We're getting paid today, and a few of us are going for drinks after work. I was wondering if you would like to come." Donghyun avoided looking into your eyes, nervously pinching the soft fur of his own mascot.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, but I have another job I need to get to. Maybe another time."
"Yeah, another time." He nodded. "Hey, could I get your number?"
"Why would you want my number?" You laughed, immediately pursing your lips when Donghyun frowned. "Sorry, yeah, of course I'll give you my number!"
You were such a people pleaser, it was ridiculous, but he seemed to feel better after saving your number in his phone. And there was no harm in making new friends.
"I'll text you later." Donghyun nodded with a smile and left.
What a strange interaction, you thought. It wasn't unusual for men to like you — you were pretty, smart, funny — but you just weren't interested in any of them. In fact, it was their age and maturity that didn't appeal to you. They acted like prepubescent pricks, trying to impress anything with a vagina and a pretty face by being obnoxious and loud and downright irritating.
Older men were different. They had manners, they were respectful and caring. They knew how to dress, knew how to speak to women, kind of like Mr. Hwang.
Oh.
God, you needed to forcibly remove that thought from your mind before it spiraled into something worse. In-ho probably wanted nothing to do with you — no, he definitely didn’t want anything to do with you. He was just a nice gentleman who happened to not be married. Maybe he had a girlfriend that didn't live with him. Or maybe he worked so much he couldn't afford a relationship.
Maybe he murdered people.
You laughed at that ridiculous idea — no one in their right mind would do that, especially not Mr. Hwang. He had a cat, for God's sake. Murderers usually killed animals, surely he was just a normal man with a lot on his mind, a workaholic, or a hermit.
Walking into your boss' office, you received your pay and counted the money — 662,326. You got more than you should've, completely forgetting about the pay rise. Your uncle didn't need to know about that, and you took the extra 2,326 and hid it in a small pocket inside your backpack, along with other money you saved. Unbeknownst to him, you secretly opened a savings account in the hopes that one day you would be able to leave and rent your own place, but you only had 1,094,463.60 won, which was barely enough to cover the deposit.
One day. One day you would leave all that abuse behind and have a fresh start. But today was not that day.
Back in Gangnam-gu, you entered the penthouse earlier than normal and dropped your bag on the floor next to your worn and torn boots. You were hoping they would last through winter because you really couldn't afford a new pair. Eunjoo ran to greet you for the first time, and your heart was filled with joy at the sight of the cat rubbing against your leg. She was growing on you, and you soon realised how much you'd miss her when Mr. Hwang returned. Perhaps he'd let you visit her.
You turned the TV on and played some songs by ABBA, the sadness of the morning gone, replaced only by joy and optimism. Things would turn out well, you just knew it. You grabbed In-ho's black clothes and placed them in the washing machine, all the while dancing to the beat of Money, Money, Money. It was a song you related to, but you didn't want to find a wealthy man. You just wanted to have enough money to survive without your uncle.
"It's a rich man's world." You sang to Eunjoo, who wiggled her butt, playfully attacking your feet.
"All the things I could do if I had a little money, kitty. I would get my own apartment, I would donate to orphanages and charities. Oh, don't look at me like that." You frowned when Eunjoo stared at you judgmentally. "I would! There are people out there who need help. But you know what I would get for me? A hotteok! Ah, I would kill for that cinnamony goodness."
You placed the food on the floor and opened the pack of rice crackers.
"My dad got me a hotteok on my seventh birthday. It was the best birthday ever and- oh my God, I'm talking to a cat." Laughing at the sudden realisation, you shook your head in disbelief. "Well, you're probably my only friend anyway. You don't judge me. You don't care if I'm rich or poor. You just listen and eat. Oh!"
Good evening, Mr. Hwang! Could I ask what your favourite dish is?
You decided that would be your gift. Cooking wasn't your strongest skill, but you were confident in yourself. And who didn't want to come back to a hot home-made meal? Maybe he liked jajangmyeon, or jjigae, or something sweet, like chapssaltteok. The possibilities were endless.
Beef Wellington. Why?
Your heart sunk to your stomach. Beef fucking Wellington? How on Earth could you even afford all the ingredients? The tenderloin itself was probably over 65,000 won. But you were going to do it for him, regardless of what it cost. You felt that Mr. Hwang deserved it.
I was hoping to cook it for you when you returned. I'll admit, I didn't think it would be such a... fancy dish, but I'm sure I can manage.
Have you tried it before?
I'm afraid not. Is it good?
Exquisite. You'll have to stay and try it when I return, yes?
Chewing on your bottom lip, your heart skipped a beat at his request. You knew he was just being nice, but you couldn't stop the sudden burning desire to just obey.
Yeah, I'll stay.

Theo had definitely taken after you when it came to making friends, and you were beginning to think that it had something to do with the fact that you both could speak for hours nonstop once you found someone to listen to you.
And Laura was apparently no exception.
“…And she does speak but only sometimes!” Theo told you as you helped him put his clothes into the small luggage so that you could wash them at the weekend. “And she says Sir Bartholomeow is nice to her too, which is so weird because I thought I was the only one he was nice to! Mommy, how did you know we could be friends?”
You grinned at him. “Moms have superpowers Bean.”
“Do you know um—do you know if Sir Bartholomeow and Cheeto and Popcorn will ever be friends?”
You hissed in a breath, scrunching up your face.
“I wouldn’t hold my breath on that sweetheart,” you said. “Cats and fish aren’t known for being good friends.”
“Maybe we could get a catfish.”
“Bean, that’s not…” you tried to hold back your laughter. “That’s not how names work in the animal world.”
“Sheepdog get along well with sheep,” he pointed out and you smiled.
“Good point, my little genius,” you said, ruffling his hair. “But think about it this way, do you think tiger sharks get along well with tigers?”
Theo thought for a moment. “I don’t think they spend enough time to get along well, one of them is in the ocean and the other one is on land.”
You nodded your head with a laugh, zipping his luggage up.
“Alright,” you said. “Everything seems to be in order, so we can—” you were cut off when you turned to find Laura by the door, half hiding behind the doorframe. You smiled at her softly, and waved at her.
“Hi Laura,” you said before you introduced yourself and she eyed you in complete silence, shifting her weight from one foot to other.
“Laura, this is my mom!” Theo said with a bright smile. “She’s awesome and the best mom in the world!”
You could feel the happiness filling you with warmth in your chest as you squeezed his shoulder in an assuring matter.
“Theo told me all about you,” you told her and her eyes flitted over to Theo before looking up at you again. “Did you like Cheeto and Popcorn? Theo says you’ll look after them for the weekend.”
A small smile twitched her lips before she nodded her head quietly.
“That’s so kind of you,” you told her. “They’ll definitely be happy to have you to keep them company.”
“And they can keep you company,” Theo added. “That way you won’t get bored while I’m away!”
“I’m sure Laura can spend time with her other friends while you’re not here, Bean.”
Laura stole a look at you and shook her head for a moment, a gesture so subtle that you couldn’t even be sure whether you’d seen it or not as if it was an automatic response. You tilted your head in confusion but then the thought hit you; Laura still didn’t have any friends other than Theo. Theo blinked up at you, fixing his glasses and you felt a pang in your stomach, then smiled at Laura.
“Laura,” you said. “Would you like to spend the weekend with Theo and I?”
Theo gasped, a huge smile lighting up his face and Laura’s eyes snapped up to yours before she looked over her shoulder, biting inside her cheek.
“Ask your father, but he knows me,” you said and turned to Theo. “You can go with her, Bean. I’ll wait you two in the car, okay?”
“Mr. Logan isn’t here mommy, he’s away on a mission.”
Oh, that explained his absence.
“I see,” you said. “Is it okay if I call him then, Laura?”
Laura nodded fervently and you grabbed your phone out of your pocket.
“I’ll be right back,” you told them and stepped out of the room to find Logan’s name on your contacts. Your finger hovered over the screen, your heart skipping a beat before you touched the name and took the phone to your ear.
“Hey,” Logan’s voice reached you and you felt a smile pulling at your lips before you frowned to yourself. “Uh…accidental call?”
“Intentional, strange as it sounds,” you said. “Are you busy—”
“No!” he answered too fast. “I’m not, at all.”
“Aren’t you on a mission?”
“It can wait, I can—uh, I can come back.”
You repressed your smile.
“No need for that,” you said. “So as it turns out, Laura still doesn’t have any friends.”
“She has Theo.”
“She only has Theo,” you corrected him. “Which is why I called. Is it cool if Laura stays with us this weekend?”
“What?”
“Yeah I mean, she will apparently be alone while Theo is with me, and I don’t want…” you trailed off. “I don’t want her to feel alone. So?”
There was silence on the other line and you looked at the screen to check whether he was still there;
“Logan?”
“I’m here,” he said. “Sure—I mean sure, but will it be okay for you?”
“Yeah I don’t mind,” you said. “I’ll drop her off on Sunday then?”
“I can pick her up if I’m back by then—”
“It’s fine,” you said. “I can just drop her off at the institute, no worries.”
A momentary silence fell upon you and you cleared your throat.
“Well okay then,” you said after a beat. “Be careful on your mission, whatever it is.”
“You too.”
You pulled your brows together. “Careful on my mission?”
“No just…be careful in general?” he asked and you bit back a smile.
“Sure,” you said. “See you later I guess.”
With that, you hung up the phone and made your way back to the room to peek your head in.
“Good news, you’re staying with us for the weekend,” you told Laura who gave you a bright smile and Theo jumped in his spot with giddiness. “But I’m going to need one of you to carry Cheeto and Popcorn’s tank for me. We can’t possibly leave them here for the weekend.”
*
You and Theo had your traditions when it came to the weekend, especially since Theo had started attending Professor Xavier’s school. You would have a picnic and feed the ducks by the lake, go home for dinner and on Saturday morning you’d have breakfast with Jamie and Nik and Julie. Laura was still incredibly shy around strangers, but she seemed to be more comfortable around you now because you didn’t push her at all. She and Theo spent the whole breakfast playing with Nik and Jamie’s cat while you had coffee with Jamie, Julie and Nik in the kitchen.
“It’s a trauma response,” Jamie told you. “Very common. Do you know anything about the lab she was raised in?”
“Not really.”
“That’s so fucked up,” Julie whispered, shaking her head. “I can’t imagine how scared she must have been. For years.”
“Is she seeing a therapist?”
“I doubt it,” you said. “I mean I’m sure they’re trying their hardest at the institute but—”
“She needs an actual therapist,” Nik insisted and turned to Jamie. “Can you make that happen?”
“I can ask around in the hospital,” he said. “We’ll need Logan to sign the papers though, if he’s the only parent she has—”
“Logan would be okay with it,” you said. “I’m not sure about Laura though. She grew up in a terrible lab, I doubt she’d be comfortable around doctors.”
“Home therapy?”
“That sounds like a better idea.”
“Poor baby,” Julie pouted. “I want to go and hug her.”
“I actually think Hayes also knows someone,” Jamie said. “How are things between you by the way?”
“Oh it’s fine.”
“Still taking it slow?”
You sipped your coffee and nodded your head.
“He’s very sweet,” you said. “Which is exactly what I need right now.”
“Did you know you can rent magnet cranes?” Julie asked, making all of you turn to her. “The ones they use for construction sites and stuff?”
You blinked a couple of times. “Julie?”
“Yes?”
“How do you know this information?”
“Google.”
“You googled whether they rent magnet cranes?” you asked her and she shrugged her shoulders.
“Just in case you want to fuck with your ex.”
“Jesus—”
“You do realize that they don’t accept driver’s license for those?” Nik asked while Jamie hid his smile behind his hand. “Technically speaking, you’d need to get a crane operator license.”
Julie waved a hand in the air. “Says who?”
“Says OSHA, Julie!”
“Listen, I could get that license,” Julie said. “I’m good with stick—”
“Your sex life is irrelevant to this conversation.”
“Nik.”
“Just saying.”
“Guys,” you interrupted them while Jamie let out a laugh. “Jules, you’re not getting a crane operator license just to mess with Logan.”
“I need a hobby nowadays.”
“Being a crane operator is not a hobby.”
“Not with that attitude it’s not,” Julie muttered and you shook your head, then heaved a sigh.
“There’s no need for that,” you said. “Seriously. I’m completely over him.”
Jamie raised his brows. “Are you though?”
“Yeah,” you said, shrugging your shoulders. “Yeah, of course. Trust me, I’m so over Logan.”
*
On Sunday morning, you decided to bake some cookies before Theo and Laura woke up. You figured it would be a nice surprise for them and Laura could take them to school when you dropped her off in the afternoon. You had become very used to being silent in the kitchen so that you wouldn’t wake Theo up, but you had forgotten how Logan had mentioned Laura had all his abilities.
Including hearing even the slightest noise.
When Laura stepped into the kitchen in her pajamas, you looked over your shoulder and shot her a small smile.
“Good morning!” you said. “Sorry if I woke you, but I figured you’d want cookies.”
Laura stole a look at the kitchen, still rubbing her eye before her gaze went back to you.
“Would you like to help me?”
She blinked a couple of times, then nodded and made her way to you, still slightly skittish in her steps. You held up the bowl.
“So I’m guessing you like chocolate chip cookies,” you said. “But today we’re also putting rainbow sprinkles on them. I’m going to roll them into balls and you’ll dip them in sprinkles, does that work?”
Laura nodded her head and you rolled a piece of cookie dough in your palm, then gave it to her. She carefully dipped it in sprinkles and looked up at you with curious eyes as if asking you if she did it right, and you gave her a proud smile.
“Oh my God, you didn’t tell me you used to bake!” you told her. “That’s like, chef quality Laura. Surely you did it before?”
A smile lit up her face and she shook her head vigorously, and you gasped.
“You haven’t?” you asked. “And you’re this good already? Oh you have great talent then, it took me so much time to do it right when I was first learning but look at you!”
Laura’s smile widened and she took a step closer to you as if excited to do the next one, so you rolled another piece of dough before putting it into her palm.
“My favorite one is mint chocolate chip cookies,” you told her. “I have been meaning to try pumpkin ones though, have you ever had them?”
Laura shook her head.
“I had them at a café,” you said. “I feel like they would go well with—wait, Laura! We should make hot chocolate as well, do you like hot chocolate?”
Laura thought for a moment, then shrugged her shoulders, biting inside her cheek.
“Have you ever had hot chocolate before?”
She shook her head and you felt your heart clench before you took a deep breath.
“I’m about to blow your mind,” you told her before you washed your hands and grabbed the milk from the fridge, then poured it into a saucepan and put it on the stove. “So technically speaking, it’s not the healthiest thing in the world but do we care?”
A small giggle escaped from her lips before she shook her head.
“Exactly,” you pointed out. “Thank you. Would you like to sit down?”
She shrugged her shoulders before climbing on a chair and you gave her a piece of dough for her to dip in sprinkles.
“So there’s this diner right around the corner,” you told her. “They make great pancakes, and also their hot chocolate is so good, so I actually asked them what they use and bought the same thing. The diner I work at, our hot chocolate didn’t use to be so good until I made them change it as well. Our cook makes a great pie though, I’ll bring you some the next time I drop Theo off. Have you tried apple pie?”
Laura nodded her head.
“It’s so good, isn’t it?” you asked and took the milk off the stove before you poured it into a mug, put the hot chocolate powder in and grabbed the pack of marshmallows. You put a bunch of them into the mug, then put it in front of Laura.
“Ta daa,” you said. “Let me know if you like it or not.”
Laura blinked a couple of times before she took a sip of it, then her eyes snapped up to yours, surprise written all over her face. You tilted your head.
“Good?”
She nodded her head again, taking another huge sip and you turned to roll another piece of cookie dough in your palm before you heard her small voice.
“…Thank you.”
You could feel the smile pulling at your lips and you turned your head to look at her.
“Anytime honey,” you said, your voice soft. “Thank you for helping me with the cookies. You and I will make a great team, hm?”
*
The rest of the weekend went in a breeze. After dropping Laura off at the institute, you and Theo returned home and spent the rest of the night watching Theo’s favorite documentaries with his favorite snacks. On Monday morning you dropped him off at the institute as well and couldn’t help but notice that Logan wasn’t around, but you figured the mission was taking longer than he expected.
When you got home from the diner, you were way too tired to even move so you just heated up the food you took home from the diner, and was dozing on the couch when the sound of your phone vibrating on the coffee table snapped you out of your nap and you took a deep breath, then rubbed at your eyes to grab your phone and answered it.
“Hello?”
“Hey stranger,” Hayes’s voice reached you, making you smile. “Bad timing?”
“No no, it’s not,” you said, clearing your throat. “What’s up?”
“Nothing much, I’m on a short break,” he said. “How was the weekend with Theo and his friend?”
“Oh it was wonderful!” you said. “I baked her cookies and she thanked me! I take that as a good sign.”
“If there are any leftover cookies, I volunteer as tribute.”
You grinned. “Maybe a couple,” you said. “I can bring them tomorrow if you’re going to drop by the diner.”
“This is the best news I’ve received today,” he said, making you giggle.
“Slow day?”
“I wish.”
“Aw I’m sorry,” you said and heaved a sigh. “Are you okay?”
“Trying to be,” he said. “But hey, uh…I wanted to ask you, what is your opinion on charity galas?”
“That I don’t have the money to even look at one as I walk past it.”
He let out a chuckle. “Would you like to?”
“What?”
“So the board of the hospital is planning this gala for the children in need,” he said. “And I have two tickets, so I was hoping maybe you’d be interested.”
You blinked a couple of times and sat up straighter, rubbing at your eyes again.
“Hayes—”
“If it gets boring we can just leave.”
“No, that’s not it,” you said with a shake of your head. “It’s just…I’m not sure if I’m a—a gala person.”
“What is a gala person?”
“Someone who has been to one before, maybe?”
“That’s nonsense,” he said. “Come on. I can’t promise it’ll be fun, but I can promise I will make it fun.”
You thought for a moment, then bit at your nail.
“And you’re sure you want to take me there?”
“What kind of a question is that?” he asked with a laugh. “Of course! And I think Jamie will be there too by the way, if my presence isn’t enough to convince you.”
“Oh is that how you’re going to play this?”
“I never said I was above bribery and guilt tripping.” You could hear his grin. “Is it working?”
“Maybe.”
“I can turn it up if you’d like,” he teased you. “Come on, you can’t possibly leave your friend without a date at a gala—”
“Fine,” you said, a giggle climbing up your throat. “Okay. If you’re sure.”
“I am,” he said and you opened your mouth to ask when the gala would be but the knock on the door made you turn your head. You sat up straighter in the couch, then rubbed at your eyes.
“Hayes, is it okay if I call you back?”
“Sure thing,” he said and you hung up, then made your way to the door. You looked through the peephole, your heart skipping a beat as you did and opened the door with a confused frown.
“Logan?”
He was still in his superhero uniform, the cowl pushed back behind his head and even though there were no visible wounds on him, he still had blood on him. He was slouching, leaning on his arm which was against the wall and something in his gaze was so haunted that it made your stomach flip. His eyes searched yours frantically as if trying to make sure you were in fact there and he swallowed thickly.
“Can I come in?”
“Uh…sure,” you said, stepping aside so that he could go inside and you closed the door behind him, then made your way to the living room with him following you like a lost puppy.
“You okay?” you asked even though you knew the answer, and he paused for a moment before he nodded quietly.
“I just…” he motioned at you. “Needed to see you.”
“Why?”
He shook his head slightly and you licked your lips, then took a deep breath.
“I think I still have some of your clothes,” you said. “I’d been meaning to return them but uh—if you want to take a shower or anything, you can. All that blood on you has to feel uncomfortable.”
He nodded again, swaying from one foot to other and you offered him a small smile.
“I’ll give you a towel, come on,” you said and walked to the hallway with him on your tail. After grabbing his clothes from the bottom of your closet, you handed them to him with a towel and he made his way into the bathroom while you went back to the living room, incredibly confused by what tonight was turning into.
When he got out of the shower and made his way to the living room, you were pouring hot water into two cups and you ripped the package of herbal tea bags to put them into cups before walking to the living room as well. His hair was still wet but there was no trace of dried blood on him anymore, and he looked so handsome sitting there that you stared at him for a second, then tried to snap out of it.
“There you go,” you said, putting the cup in front of him then cradled yours with your hand. “It’s sleepy time tea, supposed to calm you down or whatever. Julie recommended it, I’m not sure if it would work on you but…”
“Thanks,” he said curtly, reaching out to take the cup into his hand, his eyes cast on the floor and you thought for a moment.
“So uh…hard mission?”
Logan nodded his head in silence and you cleared your throat.
“Is everyone okay?”
He nodded again and you shifted your weight, leaning back to the table in the middle of the living room before taking a sip of your tea.
“What happened?”
“He—” Logan paused, then shook his head and put the cup back on the small coffee table beside him. “The guy fucked with my head.”
“How?”
That made Logan fall into silence again and you raised your brows, then heaved a sigh.
“You know what Logan, I’m really trying here,” you told him. “I mean I get that you’re from a time where people didn’t believe in therapy or anything, but this whole too tough for emotions macho guy bullshit is getting tiring and—”
“Take me back.”
His voice was so soft, so quiet that it took you by surprise and you pulled your brows together, not even sure that you heard him right.
“What?” you asked and his jaw clenched, his gaze still fixed on the floor.
“Take me back.”
Your heart started pacing in your chest while you gawked at him.
“Logan…”
“I don’t—” he trailed off and shook his head, letting out a breath. “I don’t even have to touch you. I’ll stand outside your door the whole night like a fucking guard dog if you want me to, just…take me back.”
You could feel the warmth spreading through your system and he reached out to gently pull you to himself, wrapping an arm around your waist before he pressed his forehead on your stomach. You raked your fingernails through his hair, softly scratching at his scalp and his arm around you tightened, making you heave a sigh. You knew you were supposed to say something, anything but—
This felt way too peaceful.
“We’re going to have that conversation later, but….” you paused for a moment. “Would you like to stay the night?”
He nodded without lifting his head, your fingers still brushing through his hair and you bit inside your cheek, deep in thought.
Great.
As it turned out, Jamie was right
You were, in fact, not over Logan.

His hands are tangled in your hair and he’s pulling you in close for another searing kiss. He can’t catch his breath, but he’s just so desperate to stay close to you like this. Your lips are so soft against his and your mouth is so inviting as you yank him closer. You whimper against his lips and it makes him shiver. He feels weak in the knees as you feel so pliable to his touch. You melt into his embrace and sigh happily as his lips trail down your neck.
“Want you,” you moan softly, tugging his hair. He groans at the sensation. “Need you so bad.”
“‘M gonna take care of you,” he promises, bringing his lips back to yours.
“Love you,” you moan.
Before he finds out if he says it back, his alarm goes off and he’s brought back to his reality. He groans disappointedly, covering his ears with his pillow- desperate for a couple more minutes with dream you. There’s a bang at his door.
“Steve! Turn that shit off!” Eddie calls from the other side of the door. He’s yelling but his tone is playful. Steve hits his alarm off and drudges out of bed finally. Eddie has coffee made and Steve forgets anything is wrong at the moment.
“Did she say anything last night?” Steve asks groggily as he pours himself a cup.
“Um, not really,” Eddie replies, taking a moment to think about it. “I mean, yes but not about anything that we don’t know already. She’s conflicted, she doesn’t know what to think or feel. She just wants time.”
“Okay,” Steve replies, leaning up against the counter. He takes a sip of his coffee. He needs to get to work. He can talk about this with Robin when he gets there.
When you called Eddie, you didn’t expect Steve to answer. You thought maybe he’d say something- you wanted him too. But he didn’t. You couldn’t read him anymore.
Eddie was thrilled to hear your voice. He’d missed you, and he’d missed talking to you. He wanted that piece back as soon as he could get it. He reveled in the way his name sounded coming from you.
“I’m so sorry,” you apologize, “I didn’t mean to upset Steve- I heard the way he dropped the phone down…”
“It’s okay sweetheart,” he says compassionately. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
He’s met with a sad feeling of silence.
“I’m happy you called,” he says gently. He hopes the sentiment makes you feel better.
“I’ve missed you,” you admit, and Eddie feels like his heart might swell out of his chest.
“It’s hard when the two people who you talk about everything with are the people you want to talk about,” you joke, and he laughs with you.
“You can talk shit about me,” he teases and he hears you groan. He bites his lip, holding back a smile.
“How are you doing?” You ask, changing the subject.
“Much better now,” he flirts.
“How are you doing, really?” You ask again, your voice sounding more fragile.
“I meant, honestly- not great. But not worse than anyone else is doing right now.”
“Yeah…”
“I miss you a lot too,” he admits. He runs a hand through his hair, and it reminds him of how amazing it felt the last time you played with his hair. He’s craving that touch so badly.
When you both were in high school, Eddie went out of his way to make sure you always had a seat at the table. He’d notice as you stood with your cafeteria tray, waiting for Steve to realize there was no open seat for you at his table. He’d wave obnoxiously to catch your eye and he’d smile at the way you’d get shy from the attention. He’d point at the empty seat next to him, and he’d grin as your eyes light up in realization you had a spot. You’d shuffle through the crowd and take your seat next to him. You’d take a seat and ruffle his hair in your hands.
Eddie was always a creature of habit. As much as he exudes chaos, he actually thrives in having a routine. Don’t get him wrong- it’s never been a good routine… but it’s routine nonetheless. In high school it was a lot of the same. Tuesdays, Corroded Coffin played at The Hideout. He would get home way too late and never get in bed until close to 3am. Wednesday mornings, he’d sleep through his alarm and stroll into first period consistently 10ish minutes late. Thursdays he prepped for Hellfire, and then of course, the piece the resistance was Friday. Hellfire. An epic campaign that would run several hours and ensure the most recent shit week had been worth it to make it to that moment.
He remembers that he was paralyzed when the group proposed to postpone Hellfire one time his first senior year. It snaps him out of his thoughts, as he was so wrapped up in you- and how close you were sitting. Eddie knew that hypothetically, it shouldn’t matter if the date changes. However, he couldn’t wrap his head around change. He hated it- still does. A disruption from his status quo throws off his entire week and it will take him too long to mentally recover. He knew that he came off as a hard ass, but he prefers it than trying to explain his mind to his friends. He had felt his jaw tighten as he tried to rationalize with himself that it can be okay to switch it up. He unclenched his fists once he realized that he was making his knuckles white unintentionally.
“Uh yeah, no problem. Saturday’s fine,” he was able to manage through gritted teeth. He relaxed when he could look past himself and see his friends smile, thanking him and happily chatting about the campaign. He smiled when he observed that his decision made everyone happy. That for him outweighed the internal struggle.
He didn’t really listen to the reason everyone wanted to reschedule, but he picked up on after the fact that everyone is talking about the Snow Ball. He couldn’t help but recoil back into himself as his friends talked about their plans to go- who they’re asking, what suit they’re getting, what songs would play, and whatever. He couldn’t have cared less. Unless…
His eyes wandered to sneak a glance at you. He wondered if you had plans- maybe you're hoping someone asks you. Maybe, he’s lucky and you were hoping that someone would be him. He wondered if you had a date. Maybe you already had been asked. It’s not like you had been aware of the way Eddie’s felt about you- unrequited feelings that tugged on his focus constantly since he’s known you. You caught his eye and offered him a shy smile and he could crumble.
Eddie immediately averted his gaze, and focused his attention back on his friends. He ignored the way his face suddenly became so warm and he ignored the butterflies that were swarming around in his stomach. He couldn’t allow himself to dwell on these feelings- he knew that there’s no way you feel the same. Who could possibly like him?
He felt a pressure when the freshman looked at him, one of them having asked Eddie about his own plans. Eddie sees the way the kids look up to him, they idolize him. He knows they think he’s cool. He can’t let that go just yet, he loved it too much. He needed it. He wanted to have them hang on to this version of him for as long as they’d believe in it.
So, despite his usual distaste in school sanctioned functions, he did not want to allow the kids to think he couldn’t score a date. He could only blame society so much before they realized it’s actually his own fear of putting himself out there that cramped his dating life more than anything else. He then resolves that he needs a date to this dance. He tells himself that it’s for the freshman, to keep up the cool facade or whatever. But in actuality, he just wanted to ask you because he wants to ask you out. It’s his perfect window of opportunity.
“Oh, I hadn’t thought about it, honestly,” you said, when one of the freshmen asked you if you had plans. “I’d been so busy with the play, I haven’t had a chance.” Eddie watched as you glanced over to Steve’s table. “Steve and I usually would go to this kinda thing,” you said quickly, and Eddie could see your apprehension despite your best attempt to hide it. “We’ll probably go as friends again.”
He said nothing.
A few days later, you called Eddie and he could immediately tell you’re upset. You’re doing your best to hold it together but he can tell you’re almost at your breaking point.
“Hey,” you say, your voice straining as you try not to cry. “I know this is totally not your thing, but I’m kind of in a bind.”
“What can I do?” He asked, sitting up straight on his bed. He was getting ready to locate his shoes or his keys- thinking you’re in trouble somewhere. He’ddrop anything to come get you.
“I know you’d probably rather do literally anything else, but um, I have two tickets to the Snow Ball and I already bought a dress…”
“I thought you’d be going with Steve?” He asked. You sniffled.
“Um, yeah I kind of just assumed he’d take me. I didn’t realize that he asked out Nancy Wheeler,” you choked back tears. “I mean it’s not like that,” you lied, maybe not to Eddie but more to yourself, “we’re just friends. But I still thought He and I would be going together like as friends again- you know? But, uh, yeah- he is taking like a real date.”
“I know you’d hate it, and I will make it up to you. But, I already bought the tickets and I can’t get my money back. It’s like not a date or anything, just like a friend thing…”
“I’d be happy to take you,” he replied, sincerely. He can tell you were expecting him to fight you on it. When would you catch on that he’s willing to do anything for you?
“Eddie, thank you so much,” you sniffled, still trying your best to keep it cool. “I owe you one,” your voice cracks and you hang up quickly before he gets a chance to say anything.
Eddie didn’t really understand back then why you were even friends with Steve to begin with. Eddie thought Steve, frankly, was a total douchebag. However, once he actually got to know Steve- it was a different story. He couldn’t resent Steve. He loved him like a brother now. And once Eddie got to know the Steve you’ve always known, your feelings for him made sense. But at the same time, Eddie held his tongue for all the things Steve did or didn’t do for so long. Steve was good guy at his core, Eddie understood. But his actions didn’t reflect that in Eddie’s eyes. But it wasn’t his place to tell you that. It didn’t seem right. You’d known Steve so much longer than him.
Nancy and Jonathan invited you and Robin to go with them to watch Lucas’ basketball game. You were excited to get out of your little apartment and support Lucas. Jonathan was photographing it for The Hawkins Post. Jonathan paced up and down the court side to get photos, and you sat up in the bleachers with Nancy and Robin. You were never one to go to school things really, but it was Lucas’s senior year and it was a big game- of course you were going to be there.
“It feels weird, Steve not being here,” Nancy whispers to you and you nod in agreement.
“Yeah, everything just feels weird right now,” you agree. “You and Jonathan are okay?”
“We’re good. We’re doing good, um, still working through stuff but we’re going to just work through it.”
“That’s good.”
“Robin?” Nancy asks, and Robin turns her head to pay attention. “How’s things with Vicky?”
Robin’s face turns tomato red. “Fine,” she mumbles, happily. “I’m gonna hang out with her tomorrow.” You elbow her teasingly, making her blush redden.
“How’s it feeling? Being the best at all of this out of us?” You tease.
“I don’t know,” she’s so embarrassed, it’s so sweet. “We both just like each other- it’s not that complicated. She’s so great.”
The three of you turn your attention back to the game at the sound of the whistle. You clapped and cheered the loudest whenever Lucas had the ball. He tried to plead with the lot of you to tone it down, casting weary looks in your direction. You couldn’t help yourselves. You felt so proud of him.
You decide to take a walk to the concession stands and get some snacks for everyone. You order four sodas and two large popcorns- one for Jonathan and Nancy and one for you and Robin. You fish the cash out of the front pocket of your jeans, and hand it to the kid working the window. You thank him, and balance it all in your hands to navigate carefully back to the stands.
You see a familiar face coming down the hallway, sprinting. For a moment, you can’t help the smile that forms across the expanse of your face until you remember what’s been going on. Your face falls, and you feel so stupid for being excited to see him when it hits you again all at once.
You don’t think Steve knew you’d all be here, because he looks just as surprised to see you. He stops and his sneakers squeak across the polished gym floor. He looks at you with an expression of pure panic. He totally didn’t think you’d be here. And you’re surprised he came alone- but of course he did, he’s Steve. Of course, he’s going to show up to every game for Lucas. You shouldn’t expect any less. It still takes you back.
“Can I help with those?” he asked, gesturing for you to pass some stuff to him. You nod, and tilt so he can take some of the things from your grasp.
“Where are you sitting?” He asks, and you nod your head towards Robin and Nancy. His face deflates. “Ah, okay.” He walks over with you, and he passes the items in his hand off to Robin. He moves aside so you can walk back into your spot.
“Thanks, Steve,” you offer him a soft smile, appreciating the effort despite the circumstances.
“Yeah of course,” he mutters, backing away, lingering for a moment because the seat that’s usually there for him between you and Robin isn’t there. He quickly pulls himself out of his thoughts and just heads over to the next row of bleachers, finding a seat next to a couple of his old basketball teammates that are here for their little brothers.
Steve can’t even focus on the game, he keeps trying to steal glances of you from his peripheral vision. He wants to know what Robin said that made you laugh like that, and he wished he could have heard your laugh- but you’re too far away from him. He watches as your jaw drops at something Nancy tells you, and he watches how you cheer so happily for Lucas. He wants to know if this is bothering you the way it’s bothering him. You look like you’re keeping it together and he wants to know if that could truly be the case.
Even when you’re carrying so much hurt, you give off such a radiance that Steve and he’s sure everyone else is just drawn into. Your pretty smile and your bright eyes are all he can think about- he only knows when to cheer when he feels the people around him move. He smiles when you stand up and pose, pointing to Lucas- then Lucas matches it, giving it back to you. He watches as you both share that moment of just pure joy, and his heart aches. He doesn’t know if he could ever make you that happy.
When the game was over, you looked to see if you could find Steve but there was no sign of him. You all invited Lucas to go out for celebratory pizza for his big win, but he wanted to go with his teammates. The plan fizzled pretty much after that. Robin wanted to get home so she could call Vicky and Jonathan and Nancy wanted to head home so Jonathan could start developing his photos. When you and Robin are walking out, you see a familiar van.
“I’ll bum a ride from Nancy,” Robin assures you, pushing you in Eddie’s direction. She waves to Eddie from a distance and then jogs to catch up with Nancy and Jonathan.
“What are you doing here?” you ask with a smile. He pushes himself off of the hood of his van and walks over to you, his hands in the back pockets of his jeans.
“I thought you might be here,” he quips. “Plus, I had to poke my head in- Sinclair is some big shot apparently?” he jokes, “I had to check out for a few minutes.”
“He’s really great,” you agree.
“Was Steve here?” Eddie asks.
“Yeah I saw him. He didn’t really stay either- I mean he stayed for the game, but we didn’t talk really.” You shrug.
“Well,” he says, trying to optimistically change the subject, “Do you wanna get out of here? I could give you a ride home or we could get food or something- or even just drive around and not talk. I’m not picky.”
He looks so beautiful like this, you observe. The sky is pitch black but the lights in the parking lot illuminate him perfectly with a soft glow. His hair is wonderfully messy and his smile is making it hard for you to breathe. Has he always looked like this? You wonder, astonished as it hits you all at once. He’s gorgeous. Your eyes linger, taking in every little detail you’ve overlooked before. He waves his hand in front of your face to snap you out of your trance.
“Stop looking at me like that,” he tisks.
“Looking at you like what?”
“Like you’re trying to jump my bones,” he chuckles. Your face warms, and suddenly you realize how long you must have been staring.
“Ha, right,” you joke sarcastically, or at least, trying to joke sarcastically. You walk past him and get into the passenger side of the van and try your best to compose yourself in the few seconds it takes for him to follow suit.
“Okay, sweetheart,” he says, turning over the ignition, “where to?”
“Can we just drive around like we used to?” you ask- the circumstances of tonight making you feel so nostalgic.
“Of course we can,” he hums, passing you the case of his cassettes- a familiar and welcomed sight for your tired eyes.
You watch Eddie as he drives, and observe the way the muscles in his arms flex ever so subtly as he turns the wheel. You watch his ringed fingers tap across the top of the steering wheel and you can’t help it the way your mind wanders. You’re so wrapped up in the way his hair sways so effortlessly and the movement of his jaw as he sings, you don’t even notice that Steve was leaving the gym just in time to see you both drive away.
After a little while of aimless driving, and hitting up the drive thru, Eddie ends up parking at Lover’s Lake when neither of you are ready to go home just yet.
“Eddie?” You ask absentmindedly, finishing off the milkshake he got you. “Can I ask you something?”
“Shoot,” he replies, also finishing his, but with an obnoxiously loud suck of his straw- determined to get every last sip.
“Why do you like me?” you ask, cringing almost immediately. You think you sound like a middle schooler or something- you’re so embarrassed. His eyes widen for a brief second, contemplating his answer. He tosses the empty cup into the back.
“First off,” he criticizes teasingly, “I did not say I liked you- I’m in love with you. Get your facts straight, ma’am.”
“My apologies,” you giggle, holding your hands up in defeat.
“I mean- I love everything about you; always have,” he starts. “You’re sweet and kind. I think you’re beautiful. I think you’re incredible, and sometimes I can’t figure out why you wanted to ever be friends with me in the first place.”
“Eddie?”
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“Would you kiss me?”
Eddie’s a goner when you’re looking at him with those doe eyes. More than anything he wants to lunge across and close the space between you. It’s everything he’s ever wanted. It takes every fiber of his being to hold himself back..
“I don’t know if I can kiss you without knowing if I could ever kiss you again,” He whispers, but it doesn’t stop him from leaning in towards you. His hand lifts to hold your cheek and suddenly he’s so close. Closer than the two of you have ever been. His lips are tantalizingly close to yours when his forehead touches yours. A huge bang on the side of the van scares you both away from each other.
“Give her time, my ass, Munson! Get the fuck out here! Get your fucking hands off my girl!”

Prolonged ecto contamination can cause regenerative abilities. This is great when something important is stabbed or a limb is lost. But for other things, not so much.
“Daddy,” A five year old cried, “somethings wrong with mommy!”
Jason ran to his and his wifes room. He stopped by the door, taking in Jazz's tense still frame perched on the edge of their bed. She gazed at a small cylinder object cluched in her hands.
"Jazz?" Jason called.
She slowly lifted her gaze to him and turned the object around, revealing two pink lines.
"Is-is that an old one?" Jason stammered.
Jazz moved her head to side to side.
"Defective?"
"I've done ten of them, all the same."
But, but that couldn't be. Jason mentally floundered. After a failed vasectomy resulting in kid numer six and then a failed tube tying causeing baby number seven, Jazz had a hysterectomy.
Jason opened his mouth to address this but then remembered that their kids were in the room. It wouldn't be good for kids to witness their parents having a meltdown over a positive pregnancy test. Or discuss a possible lawsuit against a certain hospital and surgeon.
Switching gears, Jason called to his kids, "Come on tribe! To the living room for a movie."
"What about Mommy?" the five year old protested.
"Don't worry," Jason scooped up his kid and pecked her forehead. "Your dad got this," he said with way more confidence than he felt.
(OML I LITERALKY FUCKING ROLLED WHEN I SAW THIS ASK ASDFGHHKLLL THIS IS SO FUNNY BC IN MY ORIGINAL IDEAS ABIUT ANGER MANAGEMENT, THEY HAVE 5 KIDS)
Jazz stared at him blankly. Jason stared back. They both stared at each other. Then he admitted, “I don’t think I got this.”
Thank goodness their oldest, Elinor, was able to understand and distract all of her siblings. Now it was just Jason, Jazz, and their Ancient ghost dog alone to discuss what to do next.
Jazz continued staring at him, holding Shadow in her arms before she said, “Y’know, we could….”
“Don’t even start,” he said in exasperation. While he would always give her the choice, he knew that none of them would actually genuinely consider it.
She sighed. “I know. I want it anyways. It’s mine. It’s our baby.”
Her possessiveness was so cute. Jason reached over to hug her, squeezing her gently and placing his chin on her head. It was a bit difficult due to her height, but she hunched over to tuck herself into his arms, so it was a little easier.
“We’ll handle it. Together, like always. It’s not like we’re lacking in money anyways. And we have plenty of rooms and we can get help from our support groups. I can take another break from being Red Hood and you’ve never stopped your online therapy sessions, so I think we can do this.”
Jazz sighed, nodding before she suddenly groaned aloud and used a fist to hit Jason’s chest. Jason blinked. “What?”
“You know what my siblings call me?! They call Miss Weasley! At this rate, we’ll have a football team by the time we’re done!”
Jason tried not to laugh but a twitch must’ve alerted Jazz to his amusement because she looked up at him and glared. Shadow growled lightly on her lap. She scolded, “You’re giving the news to our families again. And I won’t stop Dan from trying to kill you this time.”
“Even if it makes you a single mother to 7 kids?” Jason asked idly.
Jazz paused and then she cursed softly. Jason snorted into her shoulder before Jazz then said, “I think after this, we’re using condoms again.”
Horrified, Jason lifted his head up and stared at her in disbelief and shocked horror. “What!”
“Jason! We have 7 kids now! Can I please get a break!”
Jason groaned, long and loud. Then he sighed, rubbing Jazz’s sides in faux sadness as he bemoaned, “Fine… since I love you so much… I’ll wear protection next time…”
Jazz pinched his cheek with a little narrowed eye stare and smile, shaking lightly but she said, “Thank you, dearest. We’ll handle this together, alright? It won’t be easy, but we’ve done this six times before, we can do this a seventh time. I think I should ask Dan how he does it…” she mumbled more plans to herself, as Jason just held her, closing his eyes.
If his past self was ever told that he’d have a wife and seven kids, he was sure that he’d probably snitch to the cops that someone was hallucinating.
Not that he’d ever trade this for the world, of course.

Hellooo :]
Pomefiore, 6, hurt/comfort
I'm so excited to see what you come up with! <3
I have once again succumbed to vil, I'm trying to choose others for pomefiore but... vil...
Last Thread || Vil Schoenheit
For the Holiday Event! || Prompt: "Say that again" ; Genre: Hurt/Comfort
The argument had started small—a passing comment about your schedule, a critique of his relentless perfectionism—but it spiraled out of control before either of you could stop it.
"You're impossible sometimes, Vil," you said, your voice rising. "It's like you don't even listen to me!"
"And you think I’m being unreasonable?" Vil snapped back, his tone colder than you’d ever heard it. "Forgive me for expecting excellence!"
It stung, hearing that edge in his voice, like a blade cutting through the bond you cherished.
"Vil, this isn't about excellence. It's about you shutting me out and treating me like—like I don’t matter!"
He flinched, the sharpness in your words hitting their mark. You didn’t want to hurt him, but it felt like the only way to get through.
“I would never—” He paused, his hands trembling slightly before he crossed his arms to steady them. “Why can’t you understand that this is who I am? This is what I need to do!”
“Maybe I do understand, but I can’t keep standing here feeling like I’m walking on eggshells around you,” you retorted, frustration bubbling over. “I love you, Vil, but I cannot stand to be here right now!”
You grabbed your coat from the back of the chair and turned toward the door, your heart aching even as your hand reached for the handle.
“Wait.” His voice cracked, and the sound rooted you in place.
When you turned back, you saw something in his eyes you rarely saw: fear. True, unguarded fear. His lips parted as he spoke, barely above a whisper.
“Say that again.”
You froze, realizing what he meant. His composure, the armor he wore so well, was gone. His violet eyes were wide, vulnerable.
You sighed, your heart softening as you stepped closer. Slowly, you cupped his cheeks, the tension in his jaw melting under your touch.
“I love you, Vil,” you said, your voice soft but steady. “But I need some air. I’ll come back. I promise.”
He closed his eyes, leaning into your palms like he was holding onto the words, clutching them tightly in his heart. He nodded, a small, almost imperceptible movement, but you could feel the relief in it.
You pressed a kiss to his forehead before stepping back and leaving, the air outside sharp and cold against your skin.
When you returned an hour later, Vil was sitting on the couch, his elbows on his knees, hands clasped together. His hair was slightly disheveled, and he looked like he hadn’t moved since you left.
The moment you stepped inside, he stood, his eyes meeting yours with a mix of anxiety and hope.
“I’m sorry,” he said quickly, his voice firm but tinged with vulnerability. “For shutting you out, for making you feel like you didn’t matter. You do. More than anything.”
You stepped closer, setting your coat aside. “I’m sorry too. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just… I needed you to hear me.”
“I hear you,” he said, his voice dropping to a whisper. “I can’t lose you. You’re the only person who sees me—truly sees me—and I…” His breath hitched as he struggled to find the words. “I need you.”
You didn’t let him finish. Instead, you closed the gap between you, wrapping your arms around him. He clung to you, his grip almost desperate as he buried his face in your shoulder.
“I’m here,” you murmured, running a soothing hand down his back. “I’m not going anywhere.”
For a while, neither of you spoke. You just held each other, the silence between you heavy with unspoken words and mutual understanding.
Eventually, he pulled back just enough to look at you, his hands resting on your shoulders. “I’ll do better. For you.”
“And I’ll be here,” you said with a small smile. “For you.”
He leaned forward, pressing his forehead to yours. “You’re my last thread holding me together, darling.”
“Then I’ll never let go,” you promised, sealing it with a kiss.

Could you write something about Harry, where his girlfriend is accompanying them on tour or maybe she is a 6th member of the oned (you choose how to do it) and they keep finding a way to escape without the people seeing to sleep with each other or he tries to take her to his bunk bed on the tour bus or to his hotel room... smutttt please
“My boyfriend is literally on stage.”
kofi!
cw: public sex, slight daddy kink
There was something about being surrounded by tens of thousands of teenage girls screaming your boyfriend’s name that made you feel so good that after all of this, it was your arms he was running into. Not theirs.
Liam, Zayn, Niall, Louis and Harry were the most desired men on the planet right now, but little did the fans know that you and Harry were exclusive for a while now and there was nothing they could do about it.
The guys had been nice to you for the most part. You’d joined their North American tour to get as much time with Harry as you could. But they were always busy, between rehearsals and recording sessions you didn’t have any time together. Most of the tour was you just watching the shows and exploring the city on your own, it wasn’t exactly what you had expected.
You took a quick snap of Harry performing a solo verse on stage during the last song, before slipping away to make it backstage before the crowd dispersed and so that you could greet Harry as soon as he came off stage.
He was so insanely attractive on stage, the way his jeans clung to the same legs that you’d straddle him on, and that hair that you’d tangle your fingers in…
You stood in the wings of the stage, watching as Harry skipped off towards you, a towel in his hand that he used to wipe the sweat off of his head.
He ran into your arms, grinning, lifting you up and spinning you around.
You hand him a hair tie, and he swiftly ties his hair into a tight bun, keeping the hair away from his face. He knew you liked it when his hair was tied up, it meant you could see all his features properly.
“Good show once again, rockstar.”
“All for you, baby.” Harry said, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “I put on that show and you’re the only thing on my mind.”
You grin at him, your hands on his waist pulling him closer to you.
He quickly bucked his hips against your stomach, showing off the hardness forming under his pants, you look up at him, eyes wide and mouth watering.
“I’ve been waiting all day to get my hands on you, gorgeous.” Harry breathes, his hot breath hitting against your neck.
“Then you can have me. Where’s the hotel?” You ask.
“No hotel tonight, sweetheart. We’re overnight on the bus tonight, Dallas to Kansas City.”
“The bus?” You question, disheartened that you wouldn’t be getting the night in a hotel together like you expected.
“Don’t look so sad, baby.” He says, whispering in your ear, quiet enough that no one else in the room will hear him, “I’ve been waiting all day for that sweet cunt of yours, hotel or no hotel, I’m still gonna have it.”
Your heart skips a beat, “Harry, you share a bus with Niall and Zayn. They’ll hear us.”
Harry smirks. “Then you’re just gonna have to be a good quiet girl for me then, aren’t ya.”
You’d never had sex in the bus before, nothing had went further than a make out.
Harry joked around about how notoriously loud you were in bed, he joked around about how all the other guests at night would be kept up at night when he fucked you.
You had no idea how he expected you to stay quiet on a bunk in a tour bus.
“Get to my bunk,” Harry says, “I gotta pick my stuff up from my dressing room and I’ll meet you there.”
You done exactly what Harry said, you made your way to his tour bus and got straight into his bunk, pulling the curtain closed. It was as small as you would imagine, considering it was a bed in a bus.
You heard the door open soon after, with the guys making their way onto the bus and walking straight up to the small living and dining area at the front where the TV was. Harry however, kicked off his shoes and jumped straight in the bunk with you.
“Hey, gorgeous.” He grinned, pulling the curtain closed once again, and placing a fierce kiss on your lips.
“Hey.” You replied.
“I’m not wasting any time with you.” He said, “Sit here in between my legs, angel.”
He lifted you into position between his legs, brushing his face against your neck, his lips then attaching to your skin.
“Remember and be quiet.” He whispered into your ear, before returning to the soft skin of your neck.
You felt his hands on your thighs, moving closer and closer up your skirt, until his fingers brushed over the fabric of your panties.
You’d been soaking wet all night for him, watching him up on stage in those damn jeans, knowing damn well what was underneath and in store for you later.
It was soon after that Harry tore the panties from you, ripping them in half for his fingers to gain access to your pussy, your toes clenching as his fingers moved in rapid circles, the tension building between your legs.
He had to put one hand over your mouth to keep you quiet.
“Gagging you already and I don’t have a finger inside you yet, nevermind my dick.” He lowered his head to whisper in your ear, “How you gonna last, huh?”
You moan into his hand as he brings you to an orgasm. You feel your body quiver as he continues to pump his fingers into you, soaking them in your sticky cum.
“That’s it baby.”
This was one of the longest orgasms you’d ever had from just his fingers- something about the anticipation and naughtiness of being so dirty just feet away from his bandmates, paired with his hand firmly pressed over your mouth was too much for your body to deal with.
You were still processing your high when Harry moved so he was balancing on top of you, moving your body so your head was rested on the pillow. You watched as he slid his pants down his legs and shoved them at the end of his bed, and began to palm his cock over his boxers.
He was so big- it shocked you every time how he actually fit inside of you.
“Sorry for rushin’ baby, but I need to be inside of you,” He said quietly, “Just stay nice and quiet for me, okay?”
You nod, and he discards the underwear, and you hike your skirt as far up your hips as you can.
Balancing above you, he sunk his cock slowly inside of you.
“Harry, oh!-”
He slammed his hand over your mouth, keeping you quiet.
“Quiet, princess. We have company, remember.”
He stayed very still for a short moment, his cock still buried inside of you. He enjoyed watching you squirm, watching your eyes beg for him to move. Your sweet, sweet eyes. Those eyes he got to stare at while he performed, the eyes which were the last thing that he saw before he kissed you, and those eyes he got to see when he fucked you.
When he started to move his dick, thrusting his hips, your eyes squeezed shut.
“Darlin’” He whispered, “You open your eyes when I fuck you. Understand?”
You nod, opening your eyes again.
Harry was moving faster, his thrusts deep and hard. You had no idea it was possible to cum in five minutes purely from a man’s dick until you met Harry. He knew exactly what to do with your body in bed.
Your walls began to clench around him, your body shaking with every moment. By now you’d be screaming his name, but his hand was still firmly over your mouth. Any possible sound you could make was escaping through your nose as Harry’s dick pounded into you.
Harry’s bunk was small. It was crazy how little space this man needed to make you feel like this. This good.
“Cum on daddy’s cock.” Harry whispered. The tour bus TV was loud enough that hopefully they wouldn’t be able to hear the two of you by now, “Make a mess all over for me, baby.”
Harry reached for your clit, rubbing fast circles around your swollen bud until you reached your orgasm.
“Oh, god. Oh baby.” Harry groaned, indicating he was coming.
You moaned into his hand louder. The feeling of his cum filling you up.
“My sweet girl.” Harry moaned.
He felt so good.
So fucking good.
The thought of the others listening just made it all so more exciting.

“Good evening, princess.”
Without much time to relax or breathe when Blade left to go to the Emperor, another had entered the infirmary. You recognized him easily. He was the main physician that cared for people here. Luocha.
Bringing up the blankets close to your face as a sort of barrier between you and the man, you nodded to him, “h- hello… are you… that Emperor that that guard had mentioned?”
Luocha chuckled as he came to your bedside, “no, no. I’m a doctor, a healer of sorts. Now, princess, how are you feeling? Is there any pain anywhere?”
Taking a moment to think things over, you were glad that everything was working so well so far. Though, truthfully, you haven’t once talked to Luocha before, so you weren’t sure just how perceptive he was, so the amnesia act must go on.
“A little… mainly in my legs, back, and a dull throb in my head.”
Luocha nodded, “and can you remember anything?”
You shook your head, “I- I can’t,” for more of an effective you tried to think of something sad so your eyes could start watering, and just as the tears started to form Luocha was quick to try to comfort you which was surprising to say the least.
“Don’t cry, princess, we don’t have to talk about your lost memory, alright? Let’s focus on something else.”
You nodded and just as Luocha brought out a small handkerchief, probably to wipe your tears, but before he could hand it to you, the infirmary door opened again, and Blade stepped through… with the Emperor coming in right after.
“Why is she crying,” Blade asked.
Luocha bowed, “I’m afraid it’s my fault, I asked her if she could remember anything, and I guess all the stress has finally gotten to her. My apologies.”
Without a word, Jing Yuan stepped forward and took the handkerchief from Luocha’s hand, and when he walked over to you, you couldn’t deny the fear that strikes through your veins as you scooted away, your back hitting the headboard as Jing Yuan sat on the edge of the bed and reached for you.
But all you could see was the striking arch of his blade swinging down.
However, instead of feeling that cold, electrifying metal glide straight through your body like it was made of paper, you felt a warm, calloused hand gently cup your cheek. The handkerchief cloth then lightly being applied to your dampened skin.
You trembled within his hold as he wiped away your tears. A part of you still disbelieving as he gently cleaned you up. It was such a stark contrast to your other meetings with him.
Once your tears were dried, Jing Yuan tossed the handkerchief back to Luocha, “leave us.”
Bowing almost immediately, Luocha took his leave. Though, Blade hesitated for a moment.
“That goes for you as well, Blade.”
Blade only gave a stiff nod before leaving. Your mind was a bit confused at the interaction. Blade has never done that before. He was always quick to follow Jing Yuan’s orders after all.
When you and Jing Yuan were finally alone, you half expected him to tell you to drop the act, but the words never came. Instead, his steel-like focus was solely on you, and not once were you able to stop your shaking, trembling form because of it.
His hand that was cupping your cheek moved to gently caress your face before he let his palm fall away from you.
“Princess.”
“Y- yes,” your voice wobbled slightly.
“Do you know how I am?”
“The- the Emperor?”
He smiled at your answer, “and my name?”
You shook your head, “no,” that one word was a mere quiet whisper that fell from your lips. This was way different than before. Not once had Jing Yuan ever asked anyone to leave you two alone. There was always a third-party present.
“My name is Jing Yuan.”
You nodded.
“Do you know your name?”
“I don’t… everyone only calls me by that princess title.”
Jing Yuan chuckled softly at your response and told you what your name was, and before he could say anything else, you spoke first even though that same fear still coursed through you.
“Is it true?”
“What is?”
“That- that we’re supposed to be getting married to one another?”
He hummed at that question, “we are, yes. You’re my fiancé, in fact.”
His hands moved down to your own, his fingertips lightly brushing at your knuckles as he tried to coax you to let go of the blanket, and once you did, he let his fingers slip into your palm before intertwining both his and your fingers together.
“I- I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologizing?”
“I don’t remember anything much less being your fiancé.”
“That’s alright, I’m sure your memory will come back in time.”
You panicked then, was he really dead set on this marriage then?! You didn’t let your inner turmoil show as you looked at your intertwined hands, “how did we end up together?”
“I met you at your father’s castle. The moment I saw you, I knew you were the one.”
You resisted the urge to pull your hand away from his.
“Did I tell you much about myself? Anything you can remember? I- I mean, if you want to tell me, of course. It’s just- it might help me remember,” you rambled a bit, your nerves quickly acting up, but Jing Yuan was quick to ease you, surprising as it sounds.
“I know that your favorite color is (color), and that you like to eat (favorite food),” he started to list off a few things, each detail surprising you more than before because… he was right on all of them, but you never told him any of this, so how-? How was it that he seemed to know you so well?!
And as your conversation with the Emperor continued, Luocha had returned at some point to prescribe you some sort of pain relief drink that you will need to take every morning and even said that you will be able to go back to your room. Which was a blessing, well, until Luocha left once more, and Jing Yuan stood up as well just as the infirmary door closed.
“Shall we?”
His hand was still intertwined with your own as you nodded. He was probably going to lead you back to your room, much to your relief. However, as you stood up the pain in your legs was way more than you previously thought as you left out a small cry of pain and stumbled forward.
Luckily, Jing Yuan had already caught you before you could fall face first to the floor, and before you could apologize, he had lifted you up causing a gasp to leave your lips as he moved to hold you in a bridal carry. Scrambling in his grasp, you hadn’t noticed that you had wrapped your arms around his neck until you turned your head to look at him, and not realizing that he was looking at you too, your lips had accidentally brushed against his own.
You reacted quickly as you pulled away, “I- I’m so sorry!”
And as you looked at him, it was like it took a moment for your words to register in his head as his eyes seemed to have a far away look in his eyes, but before you could say anything else, he smiled at you.
“You don’t need to apologize for something like that.”
You nodded as he fixed his hold on you and moved to exit the infirmary, and just as you were about to ask him if he wanted you to open the door for him, he had called out to Blade, and just as he did, the door opened. Blade seemingly had been guarding the infirmary this entire time.
“Come along.”
The walk to your room was silent and whatever you did, you just couldn’t get your body to relax within his hold. Your tension not going unnoticed by the Emperor, but luckily he didn’t say anything.
“Here we are.”
Looking towards the door and then back up at Jing Yuan’s face you asked, “do we… not sleep in the same room?”
The question seemed to catch him off guard, but he was quick to recover, “before we had agreed not to share a room until after we are married, however, maybe sleeping in the same room will hasten your memories to come back sooner rather than later.”
You were quick to shake your head as you ducked your chin down to avoid eye contact, “n- no, we can- we can wait until we’re married- if- if you still want to marry me.”
Having Blade open your bedroom door, Jing Yuan had walked in with you still in his arms. His steps easily carry you to your bed, but before he set you down, he had leaned into you. His lips pressing softly to your forehead causing you to freeze up again.
“Get some rest, I’ll see you at breakfast in the morning. Your maids will come assist you in getting ready tomorrow,” he said to you as he set you down.
“Al- alright, thank you Emper-,” before you could finish he had stopped you, his thumb pressing firmly against your lips.
“My name.”
Nodding to him, he had brought his hand away, “thank you…. Yuan.”
The shortening of his name seemed to catch him off guard again, but just as before his recovery was as swift as the wind, and he delivered his goodnight to you just as easily before leaving your room.
And once you were finally alone, you flopped back into your mattress. Jing Yuan was acting off, but you knew better. As long as you stayed on your toes and kept at it, you knew that you would be able to make it home.
“Blade.”
“Yes?”
“Has Dan Heng apprehended the maid responsible?”
“He has.”
“Good.”
“Do you want him to take care of her?”
“No, I’ll kill the maid myself.”

Mature content under the cut.
∘₊✧───────────────────────────────────────✧₊∘
'Oh, you've got to be fucking kidding me,' you hiss to yourself. You've gotten dried off and dressed after your very unsuccessful cold shower (that maybe ended in you masturbating anyway) and opened your phone to see if you had any notifications. The last thing you expected to see was a new video from Red Crow, aka Sylus, aka your neighbor, jacking off right after meeting you wearing the same damn shirt he had when he opened the door for you.
Is he teasing you? No, surely not. He said he'd make a video if everyone begged for it, don't be delusional... It is a nice idea though. Him being that horny after meeting you for no more than two minutes.
Before you can even watch the first ten seconds of the video, your doorbell rings. It scares the bejesus out of you and you almost drop your phone. Fuck, you need to calm down and you need to do it fucking now. Tara is at your door, and you need to get through a night of romcoms and facemasks before you can watch that video.
You rush to the door and open it with a friendly smile, trying hard to hide the lust filled thoughts playing behind your eyes. There stands Tara, but she's engaged in a conversation. 'Oh, hello,' she says to you with a smile and turns to your neighbor's door, 'Kieran, Sylus, have fun. See you soon.'
Shit, you just can't help it. You stick your head around the corner and there he stands, confidently leaned against the doorframe of his door, arms crossed, wearing a different shirt for a reason that you can very easily imagine after that video. He wears a self-satisfied smirk on his lips when he sees your head peak around the corner and nods his head to you. Your cheeks burn and you barely even notice Kieran standing there. You try to nod back at him as casually as you can but there's no saving you now. So you just head back in and wait for Tara to follow you in hopes that it won't look too strange.
'What was that all about,' she asks, following you inside. You shrug and venture further into your apartment.
'Do you want tea?' Tara frowns and closes the door behind her a little too loud. She seems more concerned than angry, just as she had this morning.
'Ma’am, what is going on,' she demands, standing with her hands on her hips in the middle of the living room. If you hadn't know what kind of person she is, you might've taken it more seriously but with the way your brain is fried you fear you might not even be able to hold a normal conversation.
'He's rude,' you blurt out, your filter completely gone. Shit, your brain really is fried. 'Anyway, what movie should we watch?'
∘₊✧───────────────────────────────────────✧₊∘
'What was all that,' Kieran nearly cries out like an excited teenage girl while trying to hit Sylus’ shoulders. Not that he can. Despite his size, Sylus is incredibly fast. Blame years and years of boxing for that.
'I have no clue what you mean,' Sylus says cold, calculated, monotone, but the slightest flinch of the corners of his lips give him away. He quickly turns to his bar cart to pour them all a drink, but then he spots the bottle of whiskey you gave him and his lips twitch up again.
This time Luke also catches it. He turns on the couch, clutching the back and pulling himself up in a chaotic attempt to climb over and tease Sylus like there's no tomorrow. He fails miserably when Sylus looks back at him with one warning look while pouring the whiskey.
Kieran sits down in one of the two big lazy chairs while Luke spreads out on the couch. 'Did she come over?'
'She got me a housewarming present,' Sylus muses, trying to keep his composure as he grabs the three glasses of whiskey by the rims and walks them over to the coffee table. As soon as they're set down, Kieran and Luke shoot up to claim their glasses.
'A housewarming present,' Luke says in a teasing tone while wiggling his eyebrows, his eyes flicking from Kieran to Sylus and back a few times. Sylus sighs and pinches his brow, still trying so damn hard to make it seem like everything is the same.
'Whiskey,' he says to explain, 'she got me a bottle of whiskey.'
'And you made her throat burn,' Luke teases once more, but this time even Kieran cringes.
'And you wonder why you're single,' Kieran sighs.
∘₊✧───────────────────────────────────────✧₊∘
'Come on, out with it,' Tara demands. Throughout the last two hours, you've been dancing around the topic under the guise of choosing a movie, making tea, putting facemasks on, painting each other's toenails, etcetera, but you're dead out of things to keep Tara busy. So you just give in. Well, you give in a little bit. Can't play all your cards yet.
'He's hot okay,' you groan, 'he's fucking hot and I have a fucking dry spell.'
That was clearly not what Tara expected you to say after you told her he was rude to you. 'Wait, back it up, I thought you were joking about you and Zayne just being friends.'
'No, we're really just friends. We've kissed once to see if we wanted something more but neither of us felt anything.' She nods.
'And Sylus is your type?'
'Well,' you mumble, a blush forming on your cheeks, 'I guess. I've always liked them tall. Can't say I've ever met anyone like him before, though.' Mentally, you beat yourself up. This man is a sex God and you're sitting here, one measly wall away from him, blushing like Sylus and you are the main characters in a slow burn k-drama.
'Fair enough,' she agrees and suggests, 'I can give him your number under the guise of telling each other about parties and stuff. Like what you did with Zayne.'
'I don't think he's the kind of person who likes having his hand forced,' you note uncertainly, 'besides, he's a grown man. If he wants something, he can get it himself.' And shit, the way you would give it to him. They'd have to add a new level to the Richter Scale after you're done with him. Or he's done with you, whatever he prefers to say. You're not picky as long as you can feel his hands all over you. “Wait, stop, you're still with Tara. Calm your ovaries woman,” you mentally scream at yourself, hoping the blush on your cheeks still seems as innocent as it had a bit ago but you can feel your ears flush.
Tara agrees with a nod, seemingly not noticing anything: 'You're right. And he did seem to like you.'
'That's probably just because I gave him whiskey as a housewarming gift.'
'No, I don't think I've ever seen him look at a woman like that,' she says absentmindedly. You suddenly feel your heart pounding in your chest once more. Truly, your heart is trying to be your undoing. You're not supposed to like this person after meeting them once but at the same time, you've been watching him for ages. When you think about it, it actually feels a little bit weird.
You've been watching him, he doesn't know you. And yet, he seems to be the more confident one.

Funnybunny Week 2025
Prompt: Alternate Universe
AU: Wonderland Swap AU by @endomentendo @snoopy7c7 and me!
AO3
There was a warm stinging on her right eye, a liquid pouring down her cheek. The wind was cutting through her like stinging eyes, the rain only making the pain more amplified. She had to keep going, she had to reach…who was she trying to reach again?
It hurt to move.
Why was she running through the forest?
It hurt to speak.
Who attacked her?
It hurt to breathe.
What was her name…
She collapsed, the pain and exhaustion finally catching up to her. Right in front of a little cottage.
.
.
.
Jax grunted as the thunder woke him up for the umpteenth time. Was it truly too much to ask for some sleep, especially since it would be his day off tomorrow. He liked to use those days to catch up on some work. And if there wasn’t any to catch up on, he’d create some of his own. Many called the white rabbit a workaholic, he liked to think of it as staying ahead one step at a time.
He jumped when lightning cracked, growling as he finally got up. If he couldn’t sleep, he might as well have a spot of tea until the worst of the storm went away. Jax went downstairs and into the kitchen, filling up the kettle and putting it on the stove. He sighed as he waited for it to boil, taking a moment to go into the living room and over to the curtains - might as well see the ruckus that kept him away.
He drew back the curtains, peering at the forest in front of him - grimacing. While the forest held the paths to every place he needed to go, it also held the path to go into the amnesia forest. He was thankful for the signs and his own sense of direction. Everyone knows that once you step foot into the amnesia forest, you forget why you went in and the person you were beforehand.
However, the sleep began to fade away when he noticed a figure collapsed right outside the forest and near his cottage. He gasped when he saw blood on her body.
Jax quickly grabbed a blanket from the sofa, rushing outside. For the first time he was like most of the others in this world, losing common sense and rushing into madness. He didn’t care, someone needed his help.
He ran over to the girl, lifting her up. The blood was coming from her eye, torn out of its socket. She needed help and fast. He wrapped the blanket around her and scooped her up, carrying back into his cottage.
Shutting the door behind him, he trekked up the stairs, carrying the precious cargo in his arms. Once in his room he laid her on top of his bed, her bloody eye was looking worse and her wet clothes would cause her to freeze to death. It was too stormy to take her to the town’s doctor, so he would have to dress the wound as best he could and take her when the storm cleared in the morning.
He took out his medical supplies from the cupboards in the hall, sitting on the side of the bed as he cleaned and dressed the wound, pressing gauze to the missing bleeding eye. Then came the hard part, to get her into warm clothes.
Taking hold of her wet nightgown, he squeezed his eyes shut and removed it off her figure, taking a giant robe next to him and wrapped it around her body. He made sure she was covered before tying the belt and sliding her arms through the sleeves. Jax sighed in relief once the deed was done.
He lifted the blankets, placing her under them as he tucked the girl in. He sat by her side, watching her chest rise and fall with shaking breathing. Where did she come from? And who wanted to hurt her so badly?
.
.
.
She stirred when sunlight hit eyes, fluttering them open. The first thing she noticed was the painful stabbing ache throughout body, specifically her eye. The next was the memories of the night before, being out in the cold and wet. Not it was justified by the warm, soft robe and blankets she was wrapped up in.
She tried to sit up, only for the pain to shoot through her nerves making her let out a strangled gasp.
“Easy, easy!” A white rabbit appeared in front of her, setting down a tray on her dresser as he rushed over to her. “You were in really bad shape when I found you, and your injuries aren’t fully healed. We’ll need to take you to the doctor’s later to take a proper look at your eye.”
On the tray was a plate with a croissant and a cup of hot tea. It smelled good. The rabbit propped her up on some pillows before handing the tea to her, the girl held the cup carefully as she took a tiny sip, “Where am I?”
“In my cottage, just outside the forest,” Jax told her. “What were you doing out there in the middle of the storm last night?”
The girl blinked, trying to find the reason, “I…I’m not sure. I can’t even remember going in there.”
Jax’s brows furrowed with concern, “Can you tell me your name?”
“My name? My name is…is…” the girl’s stomach dropped in dread. “Oh gods! What’s my name? Who am I? Why can’t I remember anything about my life?!
Jax quickly grasped the girl’s hands before she accidentally hurt herself, “Hey, hey it’s okay. Hold onto me and breathe. See, breathe with me.”
Tears were streaming down her cheeks, but she tried her best to copy him. She was still shaking, but her breathing was even, “I don’t know who I am.”
Jax didn’t know what to say, other than, “I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your doing,” the girl sniffed. “But I have nowhere to go if I don’t remember anything. I don’t even remember if I have a family. Where do I go?”
The rabbit felt his heart twist for her. Never before had he seen someone look so terrified, so lonely. Where would she go after helping her? Would she be even more lonely and scared? How could he just not think about someone going out there without anywhere to go?...well, he could think of one place, “Once we come back from the doctor’s, we can set up a room for you here. If you want to, of course.”
Pomni looked up at him with wide eyes, “What?! I can’t impose-”
“You’re not imposing,” Jax told her. “I don’t want you to be out there with nowhere to go, it’s not right. But I’ll need help around here once you’re healed, I can cook and get things for you but I hope that you can help around with chores here.”
“Yes of course!” Pomni nodded. “I’ll help out as much as I can.”
Jax felt something stir seeing her determination come forward, it was cute, “Just make sure to take it easy. Remember, this will be your home so don’t overwork yourself. And I’ll need something to call you.”
“Right,” Pomni pressed her finger to her lips in thought. “What should my name be?” She pondered for a moment, “Well, maybe we should stick with something simple like…Penny, Penny Ann!”
“Penny hmm?” Jax smiled as the name rolled off his tongue. “It’s pretty.”
“Maybe it’s a gut feeling, but I feel like my name begins with a P,” she huffed a laugh. “Weird, huh?”
Jax chuckled, “Darling, I am friends with a mad ragdoll obsessed with tea parties and a cheshire pile of ribbons who’s determined to make me rip my ears out when talking to her. There’s nothing ridiculous with speculating your name.”
Penny Ann giggled, it sounded like music, “Penny Ann it is, and you are?”
Jax wanted to smack himself, the entire time he didn’t even bother to tell her his name, “I’m Jax, the timekeeper for the red queen.”
There was something nagging at the back of Penny Ann’s mind at the mention of the queen, but she ignored it for now. Her mind was already heavy enough with everything that happened, “Nice to meet you Jax.”
The white rabbit smiled warmly, “Nice to meet you too Penny Ann.”

Fire & Desire - Matt Sturniolo Part 4
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Pairing: Y/n x Matt Sturniolo
Summary: Y/n has always clashed with Matt. Despite working for Chris’s clothing brand and being close with Nick, her relationship with Matt has always been tense at best. While being forced to be around each other more, their animosity turns into something deeper. Can they overcome their differences, or will their fiery emotions tear them apart?
Warnings: MDNI, angst, tension, toxic relationship, arguing
I woke up feeling groggy and disoriented. My eyes flickered open, it took me a minute to realise that I wasn’t in my room. Then it hit me, I was in Matt’s bed.
My heart sank, I sat up quickly, wiping the sleep from my eyes. I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, feeling a weird mix of comfort and awkwardness. Why did it feel so nice to be here?
I didn’t ponder on the thought for too long. Pushing myself up, I walked out of Matt’s bedroom. I sauntered into the living area, and there he was, sprawled on the couch, one arm resting lazily over the back of the couch, the other holding his phone. His eyes looked up as soon as he heard me approach.
“How are you feeling now?” he said, his voice low
I stalled for a moment, still caught between the fog of sleep and the awkwardness of the situation. “Better..” I admitted. “Thanks for letting me sleep in your bed.”
He shrugged, a small smile forming at the corner of his lips. “No problem. You needed the rest.”
The atmosphere in the room felt.. odd. Not in a bad way, just unfamiliar. Too nice. The kind of nice that would make you second guess everything. I scratched the back of my neck, trying to shake the feeling.
“I should go grab my sketch pad” I said quickly, breaking the silence. “I need to finish off some designs.”
Matt nodded, his expression unreadable as he watched me.
I gave him a quick side smile before turning and heading up the stairs to my room. I flicked on the lights and my gaze shifted almost immediately to the corner of my room. A white AC cooler now plugged in, keeping the room at a perfect temperature. My eyes then fell to my bed. Sitting on top of the neatly made covers was an eye mask and a pair of earplugs, placed carefully as if someone had intentionally left them there.
I stood there in slight shock. “Did Matt do all this?” I muttered to myself, picking up the eye mask and turning it over in my hands.
Maybe this was Matt waving a white flag. A quiet, small gesture of goodwill to make things easier between us. Maybe it would actually be easy to live here now. It was almost like a weight lifted off my shoulders, cutting through the animosity between us. I should go thank him,
Eye mask still in hand, I turned to make my way back downstairs. But just as I reached the door, the sound of voices carried up the staircase. Chris and Nick were back from their day of meetings.
“I genuinely should be your Director forever” Chris’s voice was loud and triumphant, with a bit of arrogance. “I would make such an impact working at Space Camp!”
Nick laughed, his tone sarcastic. “You took a few photos, Chris. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”
I hesitated in the doorway, before walking down the stairs, all four of us now gathered in the living area, but I felt a shift in the atmosphere again. Matt immediately returned to his usual cold demeanor. He shot me an arrogant look. "Look who's finally out of bed"
I raised an eyebrow, questioning why he’d say that, especially since he knew how I was feeling, how he went out of his way, in multiple forms to try fix it. It felt petty.
Chris tilted his head, curious. "Did you sleep all day?"
I shook my head, brushing off Matt’s comment. "No, just a nap. I had a migraine earlier" I explained. "But I’ve nearly finished my sketches for the patches." I added, eager to prove myself.
"Nice!" Chris said with an approving nod. "Can you show me them?"
Nick flopped onto the couch beside Matt, giving me a quick smile. “Of course she nearly has them done, it's like witchcraft how she gets things done so fast.”
I smiled back faintly, trying to settle into the group dynamic, though Matt’s comment still lingered in the back of my mind. It was a reminder that even with small moments of truce, things could snap back to how they were in an instant.
’Yeah let me go grab them” I agree.
Before I can leave, Chris’ phone buzzes, the vibration loud enough to catch both of our attention. The screen lights up with a name: Nate.
Chris grins, already reaching for it. “Hold that thought. Nate’s calling. I gotta answer this first.” Without waiting for a response, he picks up and disappears toward the bathroom for privacy, leaving the rest of us in the room.
I wander upstairs ti grab my sketch pad, not wanting to sit in the awkwardness with Matt. I step over the AC cooler, carefully avoiding the tangle of wires on the floor, and grab the sketch pad from my desk. My hand lingers for a moment over the cover, my mind racing with everything I still need to finish.
By the time I make it back downstairs, Chris has come back from the bathroom, grinning from ear to ear. His energy is even higher than it was before, showing a stark contrast to the tension that’s settled between Matt and I. Again.
“So, Nate’s in.” he says, sliding his phone into his pocket.
I blink, caught off guard. “What?”
“Nate” Chris repeats, his grin widening. “Nick and I called him earlier and convinced him to come to Hawaii with us. He’s flying into LA tomorrow morning since there’s no other available flights, told him he could stay here while we’re in Vegas.”
“Wait, Nate’s coming here?” I ask, trying to keep the surprise out of my voice. He was only someone I met briefly once, but he seemed cool.
“Yup. He’ll crash here until we’re back, then fly with us to Hawaii.” Chris explains, looking proud of himself.
Matt perks up instantly, his face lighting up with a genuine smile, which around me was a rarity. “That’s sick!” he says, leaning forward with sudden enthusiasm. “This is gonna be good.”
I can’t help but notice the shift in Matt’s tone. It’s the kind of warmth and excitement he never seems to have when he’s talking to me. Amazing, really, how he can be so happy with five people in this house but act so cold when it’s just four.
I drop into the chair across from him, clutching my sketch pad a little tighter. The contrast stings more than I want to admit, why is he like this with me? I decide to focus on Chris instead, who’s still riding the high from Nate’s call.
Chris plops back onto the couch, gesturing toward the pad in my hands. “Let me see what you’ve got.”
I hesitate for a moment, unsure if I even have the energy to go through the designs, but I set the sketch pad on the table and flip it open to the latest pages.
Chris leans forward, his expression genuinely interested as he studies the designs. “These are unbelievable” he says after a few moments, nodding in approval. “Exactly the vibe I was thinking. We’ll go over colorways tomorrow, but this is a solid start.”
“Great I was thinking adding letters into the patches too, all we need to decide on a font.” I say, but realistically my thoughts are already elsewhere.
It’s hard not to feel like the outsider in this group sometimes, and Matt’s solely the reason. But then days like today confuse me, I catch myself thinking about the small things Matt has done, the AC, the earplugs, the eye mask, letting me sleep in his bed. Maybe I’m the problem?
I glance over at Matt, who’s back to scrolling on his phone, his expression unreadable. I sit back in my chair, flipping through the pages of my sketch pad while the idea lingers in my mind. I really should thank Matt for what he did, even if he’d probably just shrug it off or make some snide remark. Still, it feels right.
But how do I do it without the awkwardness? Without it becoming another weird, tension filled moment between us? Especially with other people around.
I pull out my phone and open the Uber app, scrolling through nearby stores. Target pops up, and I click on it, searching for something simple, like a Thank You card. I scroll past the overly formal ones and find one that feels more neutral, a plain white card with a gold "Thanks" embossed on the front.
As I add it to my cart, I pause for a moment, debating whether to leave it at that or add something else. A thank you card alone might come across as too formal, like I've not made that much of an effort. My finger hovers over the snack section before I give in and start browsing.
Matt isn’t exactly hard to read when it comes to his tastes. I’ve seen him tear through a bag of jelly worms during one of his late night streams, so I add a pack of those. Then a couple of chocolate bars for good measure. It feels like a decent enough gesture, casual, thoughtful, but not too over board.
I double check the delivery address and confirm the order. The app tells me it’ll be here within the next half hour. Perfect.
I glance across the room at Matt again. He hasn’t looked up from his phone, completely absorbed in whatever he’s scrolling through. Part of me wants to say something now, just to break the silence, but I don’t trust myself not to fumble over the words. This will be easier, quieter, but hopefully meaningful.
Chris, meanwhile, is still flipping through the sketches. “Seriously, you’re killing it with these” he says, his tone casual but genuine.
“Thanks” I reply, though my mind is still focused on the delivery.
About twenty minutes later, my phone buzzes with a notification: Your Target order has arrived. I slip out of the living area as discreetly as I can and head toward the front door.
The small brown bag is waiting at the door. I grab it quickly and head upstairs to my room, where I can put everything together without an audience.
I pull the card out first, grabbing a pen from my desk. I keep the message short:
Thanks for today, and the new bits for my room. I really appreciate it. - Y/n
It feels slightly awkward writing it, but at least it’s honest. I slip the card into its envelope and tuck it into the bag with the snacks.
Now comes the hard part. How do I get this to him without making it weird? After a moment of hesitation, I decide to leave it outside his bedroom door. He’s bound to come across it eventually, and it saves both of us the awkwardness of a face to face.
I wait until the living area clears out, Chris and Nick head to their rooms, and Matt disappears into his. Then, with the bag in hand, I quietly creep toward his door and set it down infront of the door.
Now all I can do is wait, and hope this can smooth out whatever tension is between us.
I head to my room and for once, the air feels bearable, thanks to the cooler Matt got me. I drop onto my bed, sighing into the quiet. I grab my phone, ready to set an alarm for the morning. My thumb hovers over the clock icon when a notification pops up at the top of the screen:
Thanks for ordering! How was your order? Tip Ethan.
I stare at it for a second, my stomach twisting. Ethan. God, that name. It feels like it’s haunting me, popping up when I least expect it.
I push the notification away reflexively, not clicking into the Uber app. I set my alarm and toss my phone onto the nightstand, my chest slightly aching. Why does something so small feel like a punch in the gut?
Shaking my head, I pull the blanket over me, turning onto my side. Tomorrow is a new day, I tell myself. A day to focus on work, on designs, on anything but ghosts from the past.
I close my eyes, hoping to let sleep take control.
The next morning, I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring on the nightstand. I groan softly, but I force myself up, knowing I can’t afford to hit snooze. I stretch, pull on a hoodie, and head downstairs to the kitchen. The house is quiet, which I’m grateful for. Matt’s probably still asleep, and Nick doesn’t emerge before 10 if he doesn’t have to.
I make myself some scrambled eggs and toast, moving quickly around the kitchen, aware of the time. Chris and I have a meeting scheduled for 9am to finalize designs, and I’m thankful we get to do it here, at his kitchen table.
Chris walks in just as I’m finishing my coffee. His hair is slightly messy, and he’s wearing a black hoodie and joggers, looking like he just rolled out of bed.
“Morning” he says, voice husky.
“Morning” I reply, offering a small smile.
He gets himself a soda, leans against the counter, and takes a sip. “Ready for this meeting?”
“As ready as I can be for 9am” I say, grabbing my sketch pad and laptop from the chair beside me.
We settle at the kitchen table, Chris leans back in his chair, tapping his pen against the edge of the table as we go over the color options. The table is scattered with swatches, mockups, and half drank liquids.
“So” he says, holding up a navy, white and red combo, “I think this one is clean. It’s classic, but it’s fresh.”
I nod. “Agreed. Navy, white and red always works.”
We scribble down notes on the mockup before moving to the next pairing. Chris points to a pink and red combination I’d suggested earlier. “I actually love this. It’s bold but not obnoxious.”
“Right? It’s kind of unexpected but still wearable” I reply.
We continue debating until we settle on a full lineup: navy, white and red, pink and red, lilac and violet, and an all black option.
“All black is always a hit” Chris says, jotting it down. “This is solid. I think we’ve got something here.”
We sit in silence for a moment, both of us looking over the finalized ideas. It feels good to have something concrete, a sense of accomplishment settling over me.
Before we knew it, everything was finalized and sent off to the manufacturer for samples. I was filled with a sense of relief and excitement.
“Alright” Chris said, pushing his chair back and standing up. “I’d better get going to the airport. Nate’s flight should be landing in an hour.”
As if timed perfect, Nick appeared at the bottom of the stairs, yawning and stretching dramatically. He leaned against the wall, still in his pajamas. “You’re heading to the airport?” he asked, his voice groggy but intrigued.
Chris nodded. “Yeah, to grab Nate.”
Nick’s eyes lit up. “Take me with you! I need breakfast. Please.”
Chris raised an eyebrow, looking skeptical. “You just woke up, and you want me to detour so you can fill your face?”
Nick clasped his hands together in mock pleading. “Yes! Please!. It’s a win win. You get company driving, and I get tater tots. Come on, you love me.”
I couldn’t help but smile at the exchange. Chris sighed, shaking his head in defeat. “Fine. But we’re not making a whole morning out of it. Quick stop and that’s it.”
Nick grinned triumphantly and darted back upstairs, calling over his shoulder. “Give me five minutes! I’ll be ready!”
Chris glanced at me, a smirk tugging at his lips. “He’s like a child sometimes.”
I laughed. “That’s rich coming from you.”
As Chris grabbed his keys and jacket, he paused. “You good here?”
“Yeah yeah, I’ve got plenty to do” I assured him as he headed out.
A few moments later, I heard Nick bolting back down the stairs, still pulling on his Ugg’s as he followed Chris out the door.
Now that the chaos of work had settled, I decided to take a rare moment for myself. I sank into the L shaped couch, grabbing the remote and began catching up on some shows. For once, it felt like I could truly relax.
Then all of a sudden, I hear this loud, insistent pounding at the front door, completely shattering any calm I created. I froze, unsure of what to do. I didn’t like answering the door in general. Maybe it was just a delivery? But the pounding continued, more urgent this time. Should I get it? I hesitated, glancing at the empty stairs. I mean, I did live here now, sorta. If it was something important and it was missed, it would be on me.
I hopped up from the couch, cursing under my breath about how Matt should really be the one to deal with this. Each step down the stairs felt heavier as the pounding persisted. I reached the door and swung it open.
And there he stood.
Ethan.
Of all people, Ethan.
The world around me started to spin. His face was the last thing I expected to see. He looked rougher around the edges, but unmistakably him. For a moment, neither of us spoke, just staring at each other.
“Hey” he said, his voice steady, but his eyes searching mine.
“What.. are you doing here?” I finally managed, my voice barely above a whisper.
“I needed to see you” he replied, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
My instinct was to shut the door, panic and adrenaline coursing through my veins. My mind spun. How did he know I was here? Then it clicked in my brain.
The Uber notification.
He was the driver.
“Wait!” Ethan yelled, shooting his hand out to block the door before it could fully close.
“Ethan, what the fuck? What the fuck are you even doing here?” I hissed, trying to keep my voice low enough not to draw attention.
“Just hear me out” he said, his tone becoming more insistent with every sentence.
“No. Absolutely not. You shouldn't even know where I am.”
His lips pressed together into a thin line, already getting frustrated. “It wasn’t intentional. I seen the name and recognised the address and I just couldn’t leave it so-”
“So you thought randomly showing up was a good idea?” I interrupted, my voice now raising.
Ethan sighed aggressively, leaning against the doorframe, his hand keeping the door open with his firm grip. “I didn’t come here to fight. I just.. I wanted to see you. We didn’t exactly end things on the best terms.”
I let out a pitiful laugh, trying to keep my composure. “And who’s fault is that?”
“Look” he said, his tone softening, “I know I fucked up, but I’ve been thinking about you. About us.”
I shook my head, stepping back trying to make the distance between us known. “Ethan, whatever you’re looking for, you’re not going to find it here. You’ve honestly lost it, showing up here like this. After everything you did? Trashing my apartment, stealing my things, making me homeless. You crossed every line.”
Ethan threw his hands up defensively. “I came here to talk. To explain.”
“Explain?” I snapped, my voice sharp enough to cut. “Explain what? How you thought destroying my home was some way of winning me back? You’ve got to be fucking joking. I don’t want to hear it, Ethan. I just want my locket back. That’s it.”
Ethan’s expression darkened, and his voice dripped with venom. “You really are a bitch, you know that?”
His words hit me across the face, but I didn’t flinch. I’d dealt with his manipulation long enough to know how to stand my ground.
“Call me whatever you want. Just give me my locket.” I said firmly, trying to hold back tears longing for my locket.
Ethan smirked, taking a step closer. “I was going to give it to you. I really was. But not now. Not after you acting like this.”
I took a step back, my blood boiling. “Me? Acting like this? You’ve got some nerve, Ethan. Leave.”
He didn’t budge, his presence suffocating the space between us. I repeated myself, louder this time. “Go, Ethan. I’m serious. Leave. Now.”
But Ethan stayed firmly rooted in place, his defiance infuriating and almost threatening. Just as I was about to speak again, a voice came from behind me.
“She’s asked you to leave, kid.”
I turned to see Matt standing a few steps above me, his tone calm but carrying an unmistakable edge. His arms were crossed over his chest, his posture relaxed, but his eyes told a different story.
Ethan’s face scrunched. “This isn’t your business, man.”
“It is when you’re standing at my front door,” Matt replied, his voice low and steady. “She’s told you to leave. I suggest you do before this gets embarrassing for you.”
Ethan’s stance finally cracked, and with a final glare in my direction, he muttered something under his breath before stepping back.
“This isn’t over” Ethan said, pointing at me as he turned to walk away.
“Oh, it is.” Matt laughed after him.
The door clicked shut, and for a moment, silence filled the hallway.
“You okay?” Matt asked, his face softening as he looked at me.
I nodded, though my heart was still thumping. “Yeah.. Thanks for that.”
Matt shrugged. “No problem. Guy’s a fucking loser.”
I displayed a small smile, but the feeling of the encounter lingered. Ethan may have left, but his shadow loomed, reminding me that he wasn’t out of my life just yet.
As we walked up the stairs at the front door, the sound of voices and footsteps echoed from the garage staircase. A second later, Chris, Nick, and Nate appear in the living area, their laughter bouncing off the walls.
Chris stopped mid laugh when he saw us standing there, his gaze flicking between Matt and me. “What’s going on?” he asked, his tone curious.

got me thinkin’ nonsense
justin herbert x fem!reader
warnings: MDNI, explicit sexual content. 18+ only. oral (f. receiving), dumbification ;)
word count: 2.3k.
note: hello i am once again having brainrot about justin 😋 and so is maja because this is another idea we’ve talked about extensively. love youuuu @joeyburrrow 😮💨
to put it plainly - you were having a horrible day.
it started unexpectedly after you’d taken nearly an hour in the morning to curl your hair perfectly, only to be met with a downpour of rain outside that left it limp and wet.
when you got to the office the strap of your bag broke and it dropped off your arm, leaving the contents to skitter across the floor of the lobby. your coworker— and quite possibly the bane of your existence— katherine helped you pick up your things before scurrying off to her desk a little too cheerily.
you sat through meeting after boring meeting, listening to your bosses babble on and to katherine’s incessant interruptions, adding her two cents to everything they said.
as you left your last meeting your foot caught the door frame on the way out and you toppled over into the hall, falling right into your bosses back. your weight crashing into him sent him straight into the wall on the other side of the hallway and you began to apologize profusely.
you stood and extended your hand to help him, sheepishly gazing down at him. tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as he declined your hand, standing up and wiping his hands on his pants.
“be more careful,” he sneered, before walking briskly down the hall.
you headed back to your desk and gathered your things, beyond ready to get home and spend the evening underneath your duvet without any other care in the world, just waiting for justin to get home.
you grabbed your things and headed to the parking lot, and since your bag was broken you ended up just throwing all your belongings in the passenger seat before driving home, eager to strip your clothes and lie in bed.
unfortunately, your bad luck didn’t end when you left the office. you hit every red light on the way home and only narrowly avoided being rear-ended by some teenager who was too focused on texting, which left you feeling like you could rip your hair out.
finally though, you made it home. you didn’t bother to grab anything from your car to bring inside other than your keys and phone. you trudged up the steps as the weight of the day continued bearing down on you, but you were shocked when the door swung open before you could get your key anywhere near the lock.
you weren’t expecting justin to be home so soon.
he stood there with open arms, inviting you into his much larger frame for a much needed hug. you stepped forward and let him wrap you in his embrace, inhaling his scent as he squeezed you.
“welcome home!” he cheerfully greeted, and you looked up at him with a half-smile. justin immediately sensed your unease and ushered you into the house, leading you to the couch before helping you to sit back. he placed your phone and keys on the coffee table as you settled into the pillows and propped your head up. justin knelt on the floor to take off your shoes for you.
you weren’t sure why he always did that as soon as he knew you had a bad day, because you both hated feet and the idea of touching them or anything of that sort, but it was most likely just his way of trying to comfort you. he wanted you to see he was there for anything and everything you needed.
“tough day?” he questioned, sliding himself a bit closer to your frame. he sat on the floor and leaned over so his elbows rested on your thighs as he propped his head in his hands. “mhm,” you answered, closing your eyes and leaning your head back. you hadn’t noticed until now that he still had his hair pushed back with the thin headband he often wore at practice. you found it slightly suspicious… but you were unsure why.
“want me to help you feel better?” he asked softly, his big hands now smoothing over your legs. you opened your eyes and looked down at him, a mischievous glint twinkled in his eye.
“what idea do you have cooking up?” you ask him, curious to hear what he has to say.
“well,” he starts, sitting up straighter so he can lean over you properly, “practice was long and boring today, but i was thinking about you the whole time. i missed you a lot… and knowing you had a bad day, i think i know what might help…” he teases, and then presses a sweet kiss to your lips.
your lips follow his as he deepens the kiss, and you shudder as his hands slide underneath your shirt, his warm touch leaving goosebumps behind. he breaks away from the kiss to speak to you, but not before peppering gentle kisses to the corners of your mouth and your cheeks.
“here’s the plan,” he says, as his fingers begin working the button of your jeans, “you’re gonna tell me all about your bad day, and while you talk i’m gonna eat you out, sound good?”
your eyes widen at his forwardness. justin usually isn’t one to lay it out so plainly and you’re a bit taken aback by his suddenness. “….okay,” you agree, and justin laughs at your reluctance. “i told you i missed you today,” he smirks. you let him undo your pants and pull them down your legs along with your panties, tossing both to the side.
you stifle back a giggle as they wrap around a lamp you have standing in the corner, the force of justin’s throw leaving it wobbling.
you look down at him in amusement and he laughs too before quickly switching his mood, suddenly turning serious. “okay, start talking. and if you stop, i stop.”
his arms hook around your thighs and he pulls you down the couch a little farther so that you’ll both be in a comfortable position as he moves back to his knees on the floor.
he leans into you and holds your legs open before blowing a cool stream of air onto your already wet core. his nose rubs against your clit softly before he licks a long, languid stripe up your center. when he makes no further move you remember you’re supposed to be talking, but you aren’t sure if you’ll be able to even form words… you still try anyway.
“i… i woke up super early to c-curl my hair, and… the rain made it fall immediately,” you whine, arching forward as he rolls his tongue lazily over your clit. he makes a sound against your core that you can only assume is sympathetic, and the vibration sends shockwaves through you. your fingers tangle through his hair as you hold him close to you, afraid to let this moment end so soon.
“and then… when i got to work my bag broke and… all m-my shit fell all over the - fuck - all over the lobby,” you manage to squeak out. he shakes his head from side to side as you talk before slowly pressing two fingers into your dripping center and curling them upward. a drawn out moan falls from your lips as he uses his hand and his mouth in tandem, pulling you close to the edge in such a short time.
his other hand smooths over the flesh of your leg before he draws it back and places a sharp smack against the meat of your thigh. you barely notice the stinging pain as your body lurches forward, your back arches, and you continue pressing your core to his eager tongue and lips.
he lifts his head to look at you and the sight of him almost has your eyes rolling back. his hair is messy from the grip you’ve had on it but the thin white headband stays in place, holding his hair away from his eyes. the bottom half of his face is coated with spit and your slick, his mischievous eyes find yours and he winks at you. “i didn’t tell you to stop talking, baby. keep telling me about your day, or i’ll stop, too.”
“fuck, okay… katherine was annoying me all day, she wouldn’t shut the fuck up in any of the meetings,” you tell him, and he looks up at you again to mutter a soft “fuck katherine,” before he’s diving into your folds again. you giggle at his words, he’s being unusually crude today.
his fingers are pumping in and out of you twice as fast now and you’re scrambling to gather your thoughts, but god you didn’t want him to stop. he hooks his fingers and presses them upward, hitting you in just the right spot as he continues sucking on your clit, bobbing his head back and forth.
it’s getting harder and harder to formulate your thoughts, you still have to tell him about running into your boss, but you can’t make the words come out. instead, all you manage to squeak out is a weak moan of his name as you tug at his hair again.
“justinnnnnn,” you whine, the pleasure now seeping through your body, you can feel it in your thighs, calves and toes. he laughs against you, and all you can think is what a cheeky fucker.
he looks up again at you, hair and eyes wild. “that can’t be all, baby,” he teases. his pupils are blown wide and you know he’s enjoying this just as much as you are. you shake your head in response and place your palms flat on the couch so you can use them to push your body forward, fucking yourself on his now still fingers.
“was that it? or am i just fucking you stupid?”
and there it was.
his admission that he missed you may have been true, but something happened on that field today that triggered this side of justin, one you rarely got to see. he was always ready and willing to take care of you, and he wasn’t being malicious at the moment, but something had to have happened today to make him talk to you with a bit of bite - not that you were complaining.
“keep talking,” he commanded, and although it wasn’t the angriest you’ve ever heard him, it was enough to make you listen. “i- i tripped on the - fuck - the fucking door frame and fell straight into my boss. and he wouldn’t even let m-me…” you hiccup, another whine falling from your lips as he curls his digits into your g-spot again.
“justin, please,” you beg, continuing to grind on his face and fingers. you lift your head to look down and him and you find him focused, eyes closed as he works on bringing you pleasure. for a moment you think you’re in the clear until his big hand brings down another harsh smack on your thigh. it takes everything in you to start talking again.
“he wouldn’t even let me help him up. and th-then all the lights on the way home were red and - jesus christ - some teenager almost rear-ended me. and that’s all justin, please,” you finally manage, the rasp of your voice even shocks you. you sound completely fucked out yet full of lust, and for some reason you like it. justin does too.
he continues working you closer and closer to the edge as your repeat his name like a mantra, followed by moans and curses and any other sound that claws its way from your throat. justin can feel you tightening around his fingers and he loves it, he loves knowing he can bring you to your peak so quickly like this.
he pulls away from your core one final time, looking you in the eyes as he speaks. “don’t you love it when you’re getting fucked so good you can only remember my name? you sound a little dumb, baby.”
his tongue is on you again in an instant and your brain feels like it’s being scrambled in your head. you’d admitted to justin one night during a drunken romp that you wanted him to be rougher with you, to sling you around sometimes, to call you names.
usually he was a gentle giant, and god, he always got you there. the sex was never boring, but this really took the cake. before you knew it you were cumming all over his fingers unabashedly, not caring whether the couch would be stained from your remnants or not. all that mattered in this moment was justin, which you knew was exactly what he wanted.
he helped you ride out your high before pulling his fingers out of you, and without thinking, he wiped them off on the leg of his pants. his eyes met yours again and you could tell he was feeling nervous, he wanted to know how he did.
“you’ll have to give me three to five business days to recover from that one,” you giggle, your chest heaving as you catch your breath.
“i hoped that helped you some,” he said, leaning across your body and wrapping his arms around your torso. “it did, but what got into you?” you questioned, his boldness something you weren’t so used to seeing.
“got pissed off at practice, it was stupid. we can talk about it later,” he sighs, leaning his head against your neck. “i think i know a way i can get you to talk,” you tease, and both of you laugh. justin squeezes you into a hug before pulling off you and standing up, extending an arm to gesture toward the hall.
“sounds like a fine treat, m’lady,” he jokes, pretending to tip a hat to you. “but first, hit the showers!”
you giggle as you stand on gelatin legs and try to walk past him, only to be met with weak knees as he smacks your ass harshly. he scoops you up bridal style and rushes down the hall, both of you eager to get to the story of justin’s bad day.

JAMES KELLY had been through a lot in his life--seen things most people wouldn’t believe, did things he had to pay for--but nothing, nothing, compared to the intense terror of sitting in the passenger seat while you drove.
His big hands gripped the armrest and the door handle so tightly it looked like he was trying to leave imprints or like his life depended on it, which, considering your recent near-miss with a parked car, wasn’t entirely an exaggeration. You, on the other hand, were calm as ever, hands light on the steering wheel as the car drove through the traffic like a needle threading through the fabric. The car jolted as you cut through a yellow light at the very last second, and James made a deep noise in his chest that sounded suspiciously like a prayer.
“Sweetheart,” voice tight but somehow still gentle. “You’re not… you’re not tryin' to kill me, right?”
You blinked at him, wide-eyed and impossibly sweet, hands resting lightly on the steering wheel. “Of course not, Jamie. Why would you even say that?”
He gestured vaguely to the road, jaw clenched, mind shaking. “Baby, you just blew through that light. And the stop sign. And you almost clipped that SUV back there. You got a death wish I don’t know about? Is it about me not liking your new recipe? Or--or did I do something?”
you gave him this "you're slowly becoming exasperating" look “Jimmy, please, you did nothing, baby. Besides, it wasn’t that bad,” tone so angelic it was almost absurd given the chaos and hell you were wreaking on the streets. “I didn’t hit anything, did I?”
James turned to stare at you, blue eyes narrowed in disbelief. “No, but that’s because God himself must’ve been paying attention.” He dragged a hand down his face, exhaling harshly. “Slow it down, doll. We’re not in a race.”
“Sweetheart,” James began again “Do you always have to drive like you’re in the Indy 500?”
You glanced at him, wide-eyed and innocent. “What do you mean? I’m being careful now.”
“Careful?” he echoed, tone incredulous as he gestured to the windshield. “You just cut off a truck. A truck, baby. Do you know what happens when a truck doesn’t stop in time?”
You bit your lip to hide your smile, keeping your focus on the road as you changed lanes smoothly--without signaling, of course. “But it did stop,” you said sweetly.
James tilted his head back against the seat, muttering under his breath. “Jesus Christ, please save me.”
You sighed, tapping your fingers against the steering wheel "you said you trust me"
“I do trust you,” he turned to face you, eyes sharp with a mix of frustration and affection. “It’s just the rest of the world I don’t trust. Especially when you’re driving like--” He cut himself off, taking a deep breath as if he was trying to mentally calm down. “Okay, just… maybe slow it down a notch, yeah?”
“But I’m trying to get us home faster,” you said earnestly, voice soft and sweet like honey you had in the backseat. “You said you were tired, and I wanted to make sure you could properly rest as soon as possible.”
James blinked at you, jaw working as he tried to find a response. Finally, he sighed, dragging a hand down his face. “Baby, that’s… that’s really sweet of you, but I’d rather get home in one piece, alright?”
You gave him a quick, innocent nod, hands tightening slightly on the wheel. “Okay, okay. I’ll be more careful.”
But careful wasn’t exactly your forte.
Moments later, the car swerved sharply as you changed lanes without signaling, and James sucked in a sharp breath, one hand shooting out to brace himself against the dashboard. “Jesus Christ, woman,” he hissed, glancing out the window and freezing when he spotted the police department a few blocks ahead. “Alright, pull over. That’s it. I’m driving.”
“No!” you gasped, horrified, shaking your head so quickly you looked like a child being denied his favorite dessert. “I’m doing fine, Jamie. It's fine, you're fine"
When you finally pulled into the driveway--miraculously without any accidents, yet with you complaining at other behind the wheel -- James practically throw himself out of the car, hands on his hips as he took a deep breath of the cool evening air.
You rolled down the window, leaning out to smile up at him. “See? We made it safe and sound.”
He gave you a long, hard look, shaking his head. “Safe? Doll, I aged about ten years in the last fifteen minutes.”

Do you know what this beautiful world is lacking? TFA Shockwave interacting with a human reader… Like imagine it: Shockwave being sent to Earth to grab stuff for fixing Omega Supreme and reader just to happens to be there in the wrong place at the wrong time: In the middle of a firefight between Shockwave and the Autobots?
Sure! Sounds fun (not for reader, though) plus I feel like he’d just be extra unsettling all the time
Safe In The Dark
TFA Shockwave x Reader
• You hear the first scream, but can’t tell where it comes from. See car doors opening ahead of you. People bailing and running. And then you catch a glimpse of something huge. Heart stuttering, you can’t tear your eyes away. Trapped in horrified fascination as car alarms go off and there’s an explosion. And you realize you’re the only one not running. Too scared to move as you begin to tremble. See a car go flying and see the first monster.
• Autobot scum. Driving him back through sheer numbers as he returns fire. Metal crunching under his peds as he steps back on a car. Retrieving more parts and materials was necessary. A calculated risk. But he hadn’t expected this much of a response. And he can’t be captured, his knowledge too dangerous to fall into Autobot hands. Can’t fail Megatron. Can’t fail his mission. To be captured and outmaneuvered by weak minded little Autobots? Unacceptable.
• Unhook the seatbelt. Get out of the car. Now. Your hands won’t move off the wheel. Won’t stop shaking as the truck in front of you gets shoved back and hits your car. And then you can move. Scrambling in a panic and unable to figure out the seatbelt as the bigger purple monster falls beside your car. There’s an impression of size. A huge red optic seeing you as it struggles to right itself. Seatbelt finally releasing, you throw open the door to run only to get grabbed. Screaming as you’re squeezed in that grip, the monster holding out his arm and the other monsters faltering. “Trust me, I’ll delight in crushing this little insect,” it snarls at the others as you struggle to get free.
• Of course they won’t risk hurting the pathetic, little organic. You might just be useful. Straightening slowly, he tightens his grip when one of the Autobots moves as if to flank him and you scream louder. “What color are they inside? I know I’m curious,” he taunts as he keeps backing up. Just needs to get clear of the cars littering the road so he can transform. But if he lets you go, they’ll immediately attack again. Same thing will happen if he just crushes you. If he takes you, though? Will they risk harming you to stop him or will their code of honor mean letting him escape so you might live? Little fools.
• That head turns to stare at you and your skin crawls. There’s no face there, no expression, but you’re sure this thing doesn’t care if you live or die. That you’re nothing to it. It’s backing away from the others still, holding you out between itself and them. Using you as a living shield. And you want to cry out for help, but there’s no one around but you and the monsters. Caught in the middle because you’d been too scared to react in time. And you’re yanked back against the one holding you, screaming all over again as it comes apart and reforms around you, taking off with you as you hyperventilate.

PART ONE »»» Series Masterlist
I will update the series every 1-4 days depending on my schedule
“Would you get your head out of la-la-land and focus.”, Nat said, snapping her fingers in front of your face.
It had been three days since your interaction with Bucky, and you kept finding yourself daydreaming about him, wishing the handsome man would come back into the coffee shop soon.
“Sorry Nat.”, you said sheepishly rubbing the back of your neck.
Your friend stood in front of you in her bedroom, a tight purple dress clung to her figure.
“What do you think of this one?”
“You could wear a trash bag and still look amazing. But I think that I like the green one more.”, you said pointing to the silky cocktail dress she had tossed onto the bed next to where you sat.
“Well then I guess green it is.”
The two of you were at your and Nat's shared apartment, readying yourselves to go out for your mutual friend Thor’s birthday party. Nat considered herself a clubbing queen, she loved to be the life of the party. You on the other hand would prefer to be at home.
“Now little-miss-wallflower.”, Nat said pointing to you, “We need to put together something for you to wear.”
She had you try on outfit after outfit, repeatedly saying none of them had that oomph she was going for.
“Nat can I just wear this?”, you pleaded with her, gesturing to the long black bodycon dress she had put you in.
“No, that's not fitting the image I have in my head.”, she said, ruffling through the closet.
“And what exactly is that image?”
“I want a sexy, bold, outgoing vibe.”
“You know that being bold and outgoing aren’t exactly my thing, right?”
“Exactly, you need to get out of your comfort zone Y/N, live a little.”
After several more outfit changes Nat finally found the perfect ensemble. A red-wine colored dress adorned your body. Its neckline dipped dangerously low, reaching below your sternum and the bottom of the garment barely hit mid-thigh.
“Isn’t this a bit much?”, you asked, looking yourself up and down in the mirror.
“Not in my opinion.” she shrugged, “But anyways you look amazing so I say this is it.”
Staring at yourself again, you did have to admit the dress did make you feel hot.
“Okay fine, you win, I’ll wear this.”
Nat smiled from ear to ear, “Amazing! Now let’s finish getting ready.”
You added a pair of black heels to your outfit, straightened your hair, and Nat had helped you do a smokey eye for your makeup. After an hour of getting ready, the two of you were walking out the front door and heading downstairs to wait for your Uber.
After the quick car ride, you and Nat found yourselves outside a club, a bright blue neon sign reading Supernova sat above the front door. Both of you joined the line to get in. Once you reached the front, the bouncer checked your ID’s and stamped your hands with a shooting star that lit up under the flashing lights.
You scanned the club, glancing over the horde of people, before your eyes finally found who you were looking for. Grabbing Nat’s hand you pulled her behind you in the direction of your friends.
“Y/N! Nat!”, Thor cheered seeing the two of you approaching.
“Hi Thor! Happy Birthday!”, you yelled over the booming music, giving him a hug.
You then greeted your other friends; Wanda, and Clint. The group sat at a table near one of the many small stages scattered about the club. Each of the platforms had girls dancing on them. Your eyes quickly looked away as one of them took off her top, cheers erupting from the group of men standing below her. You felt beyond out of your element.
“You look like you’re about to jump out of your skin Y/N.”, Clint chuckled at you.
You shrugged at him, “I think I just need to get a drink in me. I’ll be right back.”
Walking away from your friends you snaked your way through the throng of people dancing, reaching the bar.
The bartender, a girl with bright pink hair and several facial piercings, turned from the man she was talking to, yelling from the other end of the bar top, “Be with you in just a second!”
You nodded at her, looking up at the chalkboard menu sitting above many shelves of alcohol. Your eyes scanned over the neon pink chalk settling on the special for the night.
Tonight's Special: Midnight Whisper
⛦ vodka, blue curacao, grenadine, sprite, edible glitter
⛦ $11
You leaned up against the bar, studying your surroundings while you waited. Couples were dancing a little too close for comfort, there was a group of girls circling around one of their friends as she threw up in a trashcan by the dancefloor, a group of frat boys sang along to the music blasting through the club.
As your eyes glanced at the V.I.P. area, they widened in shock. Bucky sat in the corner, surrounded by Steve and a few more men. You locked eyes with him and he raised his glass towards you, shooting you a smile.
“What can I get for you?”
You jumped in surprise, turning to see the bartender.
“Can I get a Midnight Whisper?”
“Of course, that’ll be $11.”
Reaching inside your purse your fingers wrapped around your wallet, pulling it out to pay.
“I’ve got it.”, a voice said from behind you.
You looked over your shoulder seeing a man you didn’t know behind you.
“It’s okay really.”, you said.
“No, I’ve got it sexy, a lady with a body like yours shouldn’t have to pay.”, he smirked down at you.
He handed the bartender some cash.
“Um thank you.”, you said flatly.
“No problem, smoke show, I’m Caleb, by the way.”
“Nice to meet you.”, you grumbled, not meaning it at all, but trying to be polite because he just bought you a drink.
“Here you go girly.”, the pink haired girl slid you your cocktail.
Caleb slid his arm around your shoulders, hand lingering over your drink. You were looking at his face as he did this, trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.
Reaching for your drink, you turned away from him, “Thanks for the drink, I’ve got to get back to my friends now, they’re probably wondering where I went.”
Caleb’s hand shot out, gripping your bicep, “What do you mean you’ve got to go back to your friends? I just bought that for you, can’t you stay and at least talk to me for a bit?”
“First of all,let go of me.”, you hissed yanking your arm out of his grip, “And secondly I tried to pay for my own drink, but you insisted, I said thank you for it, but that doesn’t mean I owe you shit.”
You turned and weaved back through the crowd towards your friends.
As you approached Nat raised an eyebrow at you.
“What’s got you in such a sour mood.”, she said, studying your visibly pissed expression.
“Some dude bought my drink for me and acted like I owed him a conversation because of it.”, you rolled your eyes.
“I would be irritated too.”, Wanda said from beside you.
You laughed, “Anyway enough about that weirdo, guess who I just saw Nat?”
“Who?”
Grinning, you said, “That Bucky guy from work the other day!”
“Oh my God!”
“Who’s Bucky?”, Wanda asked.
You filled your friend in on the handsome man.
“Why don’t you go ask for his number?”, Clint said, eavesdropping on your conversation.
“Because he’s in the V.I.P area, and I don’t have the balls to do it.”, you laughed out, taking a sip of your drink.
Just then Thor appeared, having come from the dancefloor.
“Come on guys let's go dance!”, he yelled.
He grabbed your hand pulling you with him, the rest of your group following behind.
As you guys danced and drank, you began to feel weird. Your head was pounding and you were hit with a wave of nausea.
“I don’t feel good.”, you whispered to Nat, and you rushed to the bathrooms.
“Hey wait-”, she called after you.
You disappeared into the crowd leaving Nat behind, as you stumbled through bodies, your vision began to get blurry leaving you a disoriented mess. There was no way that one drink had done this to you.
Finally you reached the hallway in the back of the club that led to the bathrooms. You shakily leaned up against the wall, dragging yourself along the cool cinder blocks towards the ladies room. Suddenly you found yourself pushed up against the wall, your back smacking it so hard you almost felt the wind rush out of your lungs.
“Hi beautiful.”, Caleb jeered at you.
“What-”, you slurred out, tongue feeling heavy.
He cut you off, covering your mouth with his hand, moving your lolling head back. His other hand settled on the back of your thigh, slowly creeping its way up, his fingers digging into your ass cheek. Your body was like Jell-O, you couldn’t move, leaving you defenseless. You felt tears begin to well in your eyes as you looked up at him.
Next thing you knew Caleb was lying flat on his back a few feet away and you crumpled sliding down the wall to the ground, your legs unable to support yourself.
“What the hell man!”, Caleb screamed, a cut to the side of his head had blood cascading down his face.
“Just what the fuck do you think you’re doing.”, someone said.
You looked up at your savior, realizing it was the same man who had generously tipped you the other day.
“Oh what so a guy can’t feel up his girlfriend anymore?”, Caleb lied.
“Sweetheart,” Bucky said looking down at you, “Is this guy your boyfriend?”
“No.”, you gurgled out.
“She doesn’t know what she’s talking about! The bitch is just drunk!”, Caleb yelled as he stood up.
Bucky however knew that wasn’t the case. You were obviously out of it, but not from alcohol, you gave away the tell tale signs of being roofied.
After he saw you at the bar, he had been watching you. He saw your interaction with Caleb, almost getting up after the man had grabbed you, but relaxed when he saw you could handle it on your own. However when he saw you stumbling off towards the bathrooms and Caleb stalking after you, he stood up and followed the two of you, ignoring Steve asking him where he was going.
He had entered the hallway just as the slime ball had groped you, and without thinking, Bucky decked him in the head. In all honesty Bucky hadn’t felt this angry in a while. It pissed him off to no end, seeing Caleb taking advantage of you, the shy and sweet barista he had just met the other day.
“Y/N, oh my God what the hell happened?”, Nat appeared at the end of the hallway.
“This jackass drugged her.”, Bucky growled, nodding in Caleb's direction.
Nat moved towards the aforementioned jackass, but was stopped by Bucky putting his arm out.
“Let me deal with him. Get her up to the V.I.P area, let Steve know what happened.”
Nodding Nat moved down to the ground, throwing your arm around her shoulder and dragging you upwards. You stumbled as the two of you walked back down the hallway, out into the club. Looking back over your shoulder you saw Bucky nearing Caleb, rolling the sleeves of his dress shirt up.
Hazily you remember Nat heaving you to the V.I.P section. Steve immediately recognized the pair of you from the other day, and he jumped up helping Nat carry you to one of the couches. While they did so Nat explained the situation to him.
“Tony go get her some water.”, Steve told one of the other men that had been sitting with him.
The dark haired man turned and headed towards the bar with urgency.
“Y/N, Nat are you guys okay?”, you heard Clint shouting from the velvet rope sectioning off the V.I.P area from the rest of the club.
“Are those your friends?”, Steve asked looking at the group that had gathered.
“Yeah they are.”, Nat said.
“Hey guys let them up here.”
One of the security guards by the rope lifted it up and allowed your friends through.
“You know that guy from earlier she said was weird? Somehow he drugged her.”, Nat said to your friends.
“Where’s he at? What's he look like? I'm going to go kick his ass.”, Thor stated, turning to head back down to the dancefloor and hunt down Caleb.
“Someone else already beat you to it.”, Nat said pointing to Bucky who had returned from the hallway.
“Sam, Scott, can the two of you go get the mess in the hallway cleaned up?”, Bucky asked as he neared everyone.
“Gotcha.”, Sam nodded.
“What’d you do kill him?”, Nat asked gob smacked.
“No, just taught him a lesson about keeping his hands to himself.”, he said as he picked up a cocktail napkin from one of the tables, wiping blood off his knuckles.
Your vision started blurring again and the ringing in your ears drowned out any other sounds. The last thing you remember was Bucky looking at you worriedly before you finally passed out.

.ೃ࿐ you never expected being low on cash after ordering a pizza would lead you to hearing the sweet sounds of lust from the college loner. .ೃ࿐ cliche porn plot (but wtv), slightly dom!fem reader, slight sub + delivery boy!yuuta, praising, cowgirl position and hint of overstimulation.
exams finally came to an end at college and of course, every student was worn out. results came back a couple months later and you actually did a pretty decent job; your grades weren't the highest but they weren't low either. they were perfect enough to order a pizza at midnight as a treat for yourself.
as soon as you heard the knock on your front door, you immediately paused your show and rushed towards it. despite the initial desire for wanting to chow down on the food you've been craving for 30 minutes, you soon found yourself craving the cute delivery boy that was at your door being the loner of your school, yuuta. the worst part? he has been your number one crush since forever.
you two rarely, if ever, talked and when you did, it would end almost instantly. yuuta had better things to do than talk to someone like you. however, upon realising the lack of money you have in order to pay for the food, it soon hit you that rather than wanting to speak with yuuta, it was much better to have him begging and whining underneath you instead.
you have never been so in love with something in your entire life. you think it's so entertaining yet enchanting that you were able to make yuuta become a whining mess as pathetic, flat blobs of tears running down his reddened cheeks. he's so fucked out for you to the point where he can barely speak proper sentences. only slurred mumbles escaped from his sore throat instead.
“fuck, yuuta, you’re so-- ah, so cute ‘f me,” you grunted, his tip hitting the back of your hole, clenching around him as his mind completely absent.
"fuck, fuck, fuck!" yuuta panted heavily, whimpers of all volumes escaping his pretty lips as you bounced on his worn out cock repeatedly. he had no idea how you have so much stamina, but you were missing 4 cents, so you had no choice but to keep going until he got the change he deserved.
then again, it wasn't a bad thing on yours or his end. because you were both loving this to the point where it made your toes curl and it only made you want to go faster and harder.
"g-god, you're adorable," you let out a laugh that quickly faded into a loud moan from his cock throbbed, instantly telling you that he was close. "mhm, you gonna cum again? c'mon, speak up for me, baby."
almost instantly, yuuta nodded with a sob. his mouth was wide open, allowing drool to pass his lips whilst getting a taste of his tears that still wouldn't stop no matter how hard he tried. leaning forward, you gently grabbed his head and kissed him as though he was the most precious thing to you, easily contrasting with the quickened pace of you bouncing on him.
"wanna cum-- wanna cum with you. okay?" you huffed into his mouth as he nodded again.
"y-yes, angel. w-wanna feel you cum on m-my dick again, oh fuck," yuuta whimpered, throwing his head back as his cock pulsed in you, not only make the pair of you cum, but also allowed you to force him against your mouth again. if his moans were a drug, you would have been dead by now because of how addicting they were.
sure, you may have paid back your missing change, but what's to say that he doesn't deserve an extra tip?

lee chan x reader 𖦹 word count: 927 2025 drabble dialogue game — open
content: frat boy! chan, angst, suggestive content
Chan almost wishes that Seungkwan hadn’t told him you were coming tonight.
The house is pulsing with the bass-boosted music Vernon plays from his DJ table and Soonyoung has set up the light system to flash different colors. Every room is filled to the brim with people, and they eventually had to start turning people away at the door with the exception of select friends.
He’s gulping down whatever concoction Mingyu handed him, only half-listening to whatever story his brothers are telling some girls as his eyes scan the crowd for the fifth time. He still doesn’t see you.
There’s a tap on his shoulder and he turns, hoping that it’s you. Instead, his shoulders drop when he sees that it’s someone else; he vaguely remembers her — Minji, he recalls — a girl he hooked up with earlier in the semester. She was cute and he was a little tipsy, so he went with her to her dorm when she offered. He’d left the next morning before the sun even rose.
She smiles at him, gazing at him with bright eyes. “Hi, Chan!”
“Hey,” he says half-heartedly. He moves his head back to stare out at the living room, straight at the door.
She shifts to move in front of him. “How have you been?”
“Good.”
“I’m sorry I didn’t call after, you know, that night…” She’s saying other things but Chan isn’t listening. He only tunes back in when Mingyu says his name, asking him to add onto the story about when Soonyoung and Jeonghan dared him to chug a whole bottle of fireball.
Chan laughs a little, “Yeah, my mouth was on fire by the end.”
It earns laughs from the group and Minji slaps his arm lightly, giggling too loudly. She touches his bicep and tells him, “Wow, I forgot how buff you are!”
“Been hitting the gym with Mingyu more,” he says and she opens her mouth to say something but Chan tunes her out, eyes widening. Even in the crush of bodies and the dim light, he zeroes in on you.
Your arm is looped through your friend, Yeri’s, and the flashing lights make the glitter on your eyelids sparkle. Seungkwan’s on your other side and you grin at something he says, which makes Chan’s heart flip and his stomach churn. He knows he’s being rude when he doesn’t excuse himself from the group, shrugging Minji’s hand off him but it’s almost trance-like — his draw toward you.
It takes five steps for Chan to be in front of you and he asks Yeri, “Mind if I steal your friend away?”
“By all means,” she says, nudging you with a smirk. You roll your eyes good-naturedly at her as Chan wraps an arm around your hips, bringing your back into his chest.
“Hello to you too,” you say. Your hands rest on top of his as the two of you move along with the rhythm of the song.
“Hi,” he replies with a grin, pecking your exposed shoulder. “I can’t believe you turned down my invite but accepted Seungkwan’s.”
“I told you I had a paper to finish. Seungkwan just had better timing since he checked again after I had just submitted it.”
“Excuse, excuses,” Chan mumbles, tucking his face into your neck. You always smell good, your perfume only enhancing your natural scent.
You spin around to face him, arms winding around his neck to pull him even closer. “I’m here now, aren’t I?”
“Yeah,” he hums, leaning forward. His mouth finds yours easily and his grasp on you tightens. As his tongue slips into your mouth, your hands slide into his hair. He moans into the kiss as he feels you tug on some strands. When you break for air, his mouth follows yours and he barely even realizes it. Neither of you have to even say anything before he’s tugging you through the sea of people and up the stairs towards his room.
Chan flings the door open and slams it behind him. You back him up until he hits the bed and tumbles onto the mattress. You straddle him, dipping down to catch his lips with yours again. The two of you twist and writhe together until you’re both breathless and sated. Well, Chan doesn’t think he’ll ever be sated when it comes to you.
You fall asleep curled in his arms and Chan watches your chest rise and fall with breaths, gaze tracing the contours of your face. He wishes that he could preserve this moment like a fossil in amber, wishes that it could last forever.
When he wakes up the next morning, you’re already standing, searching for your clothes in his dark room. Normally, Chan would be glad that he didn’t have to drop hints to get someone to leave but his stomach plummets when he sees you getting dressed. He leans up on his elbows and murmurs, “Come back to bed.”
You laugh breathily, stepping into the jeans you wore and slipping your top back on. “Tempting but I have to go. I’m meeting someone for breakfast and I have to clean up and get ready.”
“Are you sure? You can shower here and I can drive you—”
As his eyes adjust to the dark room, he sees you smile a little. “You’re sweet, but I really have to go.”
He frowns when you put on your shoes and wave over your shoulder as you open his door. Then, you’re gone.
It’s just like every time before, and each time, his heart breaks a little more.
