She cherishes her new memories and won't let it stop her from moving on#inbetween this time frame she meets isobu in her mind after he gains enough form within her (who is also without memories)#Now WAY LATER she meets Sukea who looks like he's about to panic and she tries to help (which uh doesnt work too well)#but then Sukea joins her on her travels (sending minato an letter through his summons of rin being alive and forgetting the mission)#they both wander around (he doesnt know how to bring up their past) but then obito appears (always at the wrong times)#At first glance he's pissed but then realizes that this isnt fake AND its both the worse thing yet best thing to ever happen#Now Rin thinks she made two new friends who give her feelings of warmth but they both also reminded her of something old she thinks#PS Minato and Kushina are freaking out back in the village but can't do anything about it (Obito hasn't acted on his plans yet so yes)

omfg . radio play version of much ado with david as benedick from 2001
#this version of benedick is a lottttt more serious and restrained than the 2011 version#definitely due to the medium and bc it matches the energy of this version of beatrice way better#it's not david and catherine's insane comedic chemistry but it's still really good imo..#like it's obviously not as endlessly fucking funny as the 2011 version but it's still really solid#and i'm impressed with how they did the humor in a 100% audio format#and i actually really love this interpretation of benedick as more cynical and leaning into his Hater side#ironically david's benedick here generally comes off as older and more mature than his benedick 10 years later#'the prince's fool... hAhH???' is obviously extremely funny but also 'the prince's fool... [uppity hmph]' is Inspired#and his outraged 'oh!'s and gasps and sighs when he listens to don pedro/claudio/leonato talking abt beatrice being in love with him#also funnily enough i think benedick's whole monologue after this is SO good. if not better than the 2011 version#cuz it's more restrained you have benedick's haterism actively fighting and losing against his satisfaction and giddy laughter#and the bit where benedick challenges claudio is so ohhhghhgouhgghg#the way his voice deepens with 'and her death shall fall heavy on you' just FLOORS me it's fucking perfect#but also equally as fun are the line readings where they have evidently remained the same (or similar)#my dearrrrr ladyyyy disdaiiiiinnnn#and the 'she misused me past the endurance of a block' rant#and when he's bitching about claudio falling in love w hero#but the vibes are so different this feels like a whole separate guy and that's really cool#i'm not sure how much i would love this production overall if i wasn't as familiar w the play tho#much ado#shakespeare#essentially trying to say in the least embarrassing way possible that david tennant is now both my first and second favorite benedick

OMG THAT PICTURE SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME 😭 but anyway yes I am working on multiple things right now, thank you for asking!!
My main priority is the oneshot (it might just end up being an actual fic at this point) where Neil gets sent away to military school and ends up becoming a doctor while Todd never sees him until way later and becomes a semi-famous poet in the meantime. It’s gonna be super angsty and sad and the story’s becoming a lot more than I intended, so it may be a while until I get the first chapter out but that’s what I’m mainly doing now (it’s already at 9k words and I’m not even halfway done I fear)!
I’m also playing around with the idea of writing an epilogue for my Let Me Wallow in Your Afterglow fic, but idk if I should since I think the ambiguity of the ending is kind of the point. If I ever did end up writing a sort of epilogue for it, I’m not sure if I would just add it as a new chapter to the fic or publish it as its own work and attach it through a series? Maybe I’d even just post a little blurb here on Tumblr? I don’t know, I have many thoughts and none are very coherent haha.
Anyway, sorry for the long-winded answer, but please let me know about whatever thoughts you have on the possibility of an epilogue!!

i think it’s kind of hysterical that - out of any piece of media that could possibly have a straight relationship that passes the sniff test for me - it’s this one, considering like *gestures to the misogyny*
#very much a product of its time and genre - which is not an excuse but contextualizes why it’s Like That#but they really did something with this particular relationship#honestly probably not fully on purpose but#it really checks a lot of the boxes i look for in straight relationships#i like the woman to have the upper hand at least 90% of the time#bonus points if this is because she has a greater awareness of what is happening in the plot than the man#they have to be willing to do anything for each other (potentially in very unhinged misconceived and toxic ways)#but they must treat each other with tenderness that underlies even their worst arguments#and yeah like… it passes…#the way they treat each other honestly makes me insane like.
