Still very wild to me when people try to gotcha Jason with the whole "if you can kill other people for being evil why can't they kill you" when jason is like. One of the most passively suicidal characters I've ever seen. What if man

just read this week’s chapters and i’m one HUNDRED percent hopping on the “Adolin is going to be Odium’s champion” train

#like can you IMAGINE the drama. THE TENSION. i'm gonna be honest i believe that jin ling's postcanon opinion of jiang cheng eventually shifts to "you're my family, you raised me and i love you, but you're exhausting to deal with"

my time in kindergarten has cursed me with the knowledge that kyle is def the tiny 'erm, actually!' kid in big ass fishbowl glasses who tries to answer questions that i haven't even finished asking yet, is reading books at third grade reading level like 6 y/o megamind, all of which is Great except that little fkn einstein is constantly TRYING ME by attempting to undermine my authority by staging a literal Coup in my class over who should clean up the magnetiles and ‘start shit’ aka intense philosophical debates abt BLUEY during Quiet Time.

and conversely, stan is the kid who almost gets hit by a car during pick up trying to pick a fkn ROLLYPOLY out of the gd street, needs to be told 25/8 to stop playing in the planters/stop building complex worm terrariums out of sticks and mud everyday at recess, cries anytime i have to raise my voice above a whisper, is super adhd, gets extremely overstimulated by EVERYTHING, blurts Constantly abt things he did over the weekend and drew a...Very Frightening ‘my family portrait’ of his dad yelling, mom crying, sister in devil horns and him frowning...

One time he said 'finger of speech' and I snorted milk out of my nose laughing. We have a three-inch metal dog called Fango who lives on the kitchen table. There's a distinction between 'my notebooks' (practicing mandarin) and 'his notebooks' (translating game language) in the living room. Once I doodled a creature on a torn corner of a notepad and it took him six months to find it. We used to say 'turning turtle' for 'going to bed' and I've no idea why. My best prank to date was kidnapping his shoes. He reminds me every Friday that it was Thursday, yesterday. One time he kissed my forehead and I couldn't stop grinning for ten minutes straight (he was almost-all-the-way-asleep) (It was last month) (I'm still grinning).

Nine years ago today we met on a bus. I asked him, 'who are you?' and I think I have an answer. He's this man who makes me snort milk out of my nose for laughing so hard.

every day I think of CS Lewis talking about how you never know what’s going to set someone off and about how when he was a teenager he fell in instantaneous love with this girl who was putting up party decorations and said “don’t you just love the smell of bunting” while sticking her face in the bundle of it she was holding

#I say instantaneous love but I am being delicate #it just. it makes me SCREAM #I remember reading it in surprised by joy and feeling like I’d been hit by a thunderbolt #because of the sudden insight into the teenage boy’s mind and psyche #it must just be an absolute storm in there #also just.
