It’s a bit silly but I get a bit peeved when people fail to understand the complexities of things yet still pass harsh judgements. Or when people claim to support someone but then actively go against that.
A lot of autistic support I see isn’t actually very supportive methinks. They’re supportive of the idea of us. They like the idea of special interests and stimming. It loses appeal when we act weird and get irritable and miss out on events constantly. It’s no longer a tism moment when you’re seen as a bother.

you're nice to people who are bald or balding, right? you're nice to people with high hairlines? or weird hair growth? right? you don't make mean jokes about going bald at the expense of people who are going through the very scary and usually very isolating process of losing hair?? right???

let your muse have ugly traits! let your muse have unhealthy coping mechanisms! let your muse be toxic! let them be a hypocrite! let them do things that make you cringe! let them relapse and spiral and experience moral decline, as a treat! it’s roleplay. it’s supposed to be fun, and it’s even cathartic for some. embrace your whole muse.

I gotta say: I love Vanic!! (Especially the way you draw him, I had no idea it was possible to make githyanki cute) Also, since I saw you do requests... Would you be willing to draw any of the origin characters from bg3? I just think it would be cool haha
The whole reason Vanic exists was because I wanted to see if cute gith boys were possible, and I like to think I succeeded in my efforts. It might have something to do with how tiny and squishy I draw him, but... Eh.
I love him <3
As for the other origin characters... Well, I gave it my best shot!
First up was Stari and Lae'zel! (keeping them in the same style as I draw Vanic, for consistency)
I managed to fit Gale, Shadowheart, and Wyll all on one page. They were very fun to draw. I don't like drawing ornate armour, though, lol. Can you tell?
Then Karlach, the best girl!! Her clothes were a pain to draw, too, but that's what I get for trying to draw at 11pm on a work night 🤷🏻♀️
Bonus "origin characters" in the forms of my two Dark Urge people!
Alulin, my half-gnome, half-illithid bard who's doing her darndest to resist her urges while pumping every stray illithid parasite she finds into her head. She must have one hell of a headache, but that doesn't stop her from getting down and dirty with Bears and Mind Flayers at every chance she gets (which is two so far, but it never hurts to hope). she was much easier on the eye at the start of the run, but Halsin still gives her kisses whenever she asks (which is frequently 👀), so she can't be that bad.
Then there's T'uin, a half-drow sorcerer, who is embracing his dark urges with enthusiasm. I can't play with him for too long at once because I always feel so bad doing the mean stuff. He is very pretty, though, so I can put up with him for short periods. He's currently being fought over by Minthara and Lae'zel.

I'm observing this too many times but people really need to stop overwhelmingly treating bodily traits that fat people have (and that even those who are thin may have) as flaws that need to be gotten rid of. Double chins, stretch marks, stomach creases, belly rolls, and other traits are neutral just like other body traits. Fatness in general should also not be treated as something people can just no longer be with dieting or exercise. Fat people deserve to be respected and it's antithetical to fat liberation to treat traits that many fat people have as things that should be changed or are 'unhealthy'.

If looks don’t matter then why are they so obsessed with Arya being ugly? I don’t personally care about whether she is or not - beauty is subjective and she’s got far more interesting qualities - so I don’t discuss it but they’re constantly stirring the pot around this discourse. They’re claiming to care about her while reducing her character to being ugly. It’s so transparent.
They're obsessed with Arya being ugly cause they're obsessed with putting her down and using her as a prop for their faves. The only people who make those posts are the ones who barely talk about her and can't name one thing they like about her character, but because they claim to love Arya we're all supposed to pretend not to notice. The only reason Arya's looks are even an "issue" in the first place is that there's a portion of fandom determined to have her be hideous. Otherwise we would rarely even talk about it because, again, it's a relatively small portion of her character. People are just determined to ignore all of her "positive" traits and portray her as an ugly, feral, idiot :/

Goodreads review pet peeves:
--using gifs
--using photos of people you imagine as the leads (which are always like, 10 years out of date, or like, Victoria's Secret Angels for the girl next door heroine, Henry Cavill, Henry Cavill, and Henry Cavill, especially when the hero is described as: scarred, kinda ugly, GIANT, blond, brutish, none of which describes Henry Cavill)
--"I love a man in uniform" okay blue lives matter
--"I loved this book.... but the heroine was SUCH a bitch, he deserved better!!!" [heroine had an active role in the plot, basically]
--"it just bothered me that he used violence against her" [consensual spanking]
--"I just wish authors would keep their pOLITICS out of MY BOOKS" [hero or heroine expressed regard for basic human rights]
--"I miss accurate historicals" [there was one (1) person of color who may or may not be a lead and wasn't suffering, OR the heroine is not a virgin and is not a widow]
