Just wanted to take a quick moment to be a sap and say how much I appreciate this space and the people in it.
Last week was incredibly hard on us. We received hate when we truly were expecting comfort, and it was made worse by the juxtaposition of what we had been offering previous to that night. We chose to be the bigger person, to not fall into tricks and to ignore the hate to spread love and positivity. And yet we still got hate. And the people who did the hate got a âvictoryâ of sorts.
But. Not want to focus on that.
I want to focus on how damn good this space has been. Because we decided to keep being the bigger person - to take our issues with the storyline and the people involved in it to the SM team and ABC, but didnât go out of our way to hate or harass people (Oliver being called out for his comments entirely justified and not harassment).
We made sure Lou knew how appreciated and loved he was. That we didnât hate him because there wasnât a reason to. That we would still support him, and were feeling indignant in his name. And he responded in kindness and being as sweet as ever.
We kept this a safe space to vent, rant, and yeah - be frustrated. Because we were in our right to feel so and express so, and because we knew this was staying inside this space / blogs, and we werenât taking actions that could be harmful for others.
We let each other feel the pain and frustration, and tried to make it better. We all adopted Lou overnight. Some of us welcomed SWAT into our lives as a fix it and an attempt to feel better and discover something new.
Honestly - thank you all for making this a safe space, where only occasionally I have to block someone that infiltrates it in order to cause chaos. We were lost in a sea of chaos and hate, and made sure to grab enough lifeboats for all of us.
And yeah there have been people who have gone a step too far in our side as well, and I do not condone it. But overall this space has remained safe in a way we all needed.
So. Honestly I donât care about the ep tonight, I donât want to make it mess with my European time zone and sleep schedule. So Iâll probably make myself some tea to sleep and will probably take a pill for it too (because I got naturally used to wake up when the episode was airing), and there is a high chance I will just turn off my phone and only check it tomorrow, when I feel like it.
But tonight, before doing any of that - I wanted to be a sap and thank all of you â„ïž itâs been a hard week, but weâve made it. And we can make as many as we want đ«¶đ»

For fun how about rating Wukong ship from lmk and give your opinion why?
SWK Ship Ratings
(Scores rank from -10 at the lowest, and 10 at the highest)
Shadowpeach
Name Rating: 5/10. Basic, but rolls off the tongue. Started the trend of Sun Wukong having extremely basic ship names- more on that below.
Canon Rating: 0/10. Whatever they had in the past, Macaque simply treats Wukong far too awfully to really justify the two of them ever getting together. Even the attempts at reconciliation feel more like extremely forced ship baiting, given how it goes from one of the two being marginally kinder to the other than usual, then immediately dropping it for more sniping. (Past!Shadowpeach receives 5/10.)
Fanon Rating: -10/10. Iâve spoken at length about this, but fans love to distort Wukong into a drooling abuser so stupid he canât breath through his nose, usually while turning Macaque into a Possession Sue who only serves to be the authorâs simpering self-insert who is the most perfect little baby of all time who has never ever done anything wrong at all even once. If there is an attempt to be ânuancedâ or âunbiasedâ it manifest as âSun Wukong âkilledâ (re: defended himself against) Macaque so heâs worse.â Itâs an awful, extremely pervasive dynamic that rots any fandom enjoyment I could have had for this couple.
Personal Enjoyment: 6/10. Getting to write Macaque as the legitimately awful person that he is takes off the edge of seeing constant âuwu sadboiâ Macaque content. Still, I rarely touch anyone elseâs Shadowpeach content because of this.
Peachlotus
Name Rating: 2/10. As youâll see, most ship names involving Sun Wukong are, uh⊠extremely lazy. Just one of the other characterâs traits with âpeachâ slapped before/after it. Fandom really dropped the ball with most of these. This one is especially clunky, at least on my tongue.
(See, Macaque gets stuff like Lunartides, Inkypages, Shadowpeach, etc- all very cool.. We need to diversify the nouns is what Iâm saying. Coulda been something like âGingerRootâ cause orange fur + plant boy. âFlowerBudsâ for the platonic name for peaches + lotuses. Do you guys see what Iâm saying. It canât just be raw peaches all the way down.)
Canon Rating: 2/10. Ne Zha also doesnât treat Wukong too kindly, interacting with him mostly through insults and physical attacks. He does seem to have some understanding of the king, though, which gives him a slight boost over Macaque.
Fanon Rating: 1/10. It barely exists, and what little does exist is essentially just âNe Zha is mad at Wukong over what the fuck ever, so theyâre fightingâ and little more. Thereâs a lot of potential for bonding over immortality and awful pasts or being commandeered by domineering authority figures, which I wish was used more often.
Personal Enjoyment: 2/10. I donât see the dynamic, personally. Again, Ne Zhaâs only interactions with him are only ever vitriolic or exasperated in nature, which doesnât leave stable footing for a relationship to stand. Maybe Iâll make a chatbot for them one day and see if I come around to it.
âFreepeachesâ
Name Rating: -5/10. This shit is exactly what Iâm talking about with the lazily slapping âpeachâ onto whatever and going on. âFreeâ has no meaning between Wukong and Tang- itâs just a holdover from a more popular ship. Tang only mooches food from Pigsy. Thatâs one of the biggest elements of their dynamic. Sure, Tang likes free stuff (food, rides, physical labor), but when does he ever get that from Wukong? It just makes no sense.
AND IF IT HAD TO HAVE THE FRUIT, TANGYPEACHES WAS RIGHT THERE
Canon Rating: 6/10. Tang literally drew himself and the Monkey King together inside a heart. He adores Wukong, thought maybe not for who he truly is- and the two donât any interaction in terms of Tang realizing his autistic parasocial special interest idol is a lonely old sage who misses his friends, which cripples what was a pretty cute dynamic. I think Tang coming down from his hero worship and being just a genuine friend to SWK would be cute, definitely.
Fanon Rating: 9/10. Pretty enjoyable! Freepeaches is one of the few dynamics where Sun Wukong isnât constantly turned into a punching bag/villain to be beaten around for the amusement of the audience, and the two are often portrayed as legitimately healthy together- I especially enjoy how Tang is portrayed as needing to move past his hero worship for the two to have a healthy relationship. Itâs cute.
Personal Enjoyment: 6/10. Never addressing the resemblance to Sanzang or having them interact in regards to this while the circlet is back on Wukongâs head feels like a massively missed opportunity, honestly. I think Sun Wukongâs personal feelings have been left to the wayside for far too long in canon, and getting to a point where almost every fucking character represses their feelings is lazy and boring.
Peachbuns
Name Rating: 4/10. Again. Just âpeachâ slapped onto an adjective or noun. Itâs frustratingly boring. This one sounds delicious and both components are related to food at least, which fits Pigsyâs background⊠but it also sounds like something a horny dude would ask for pics of in your DMs.
Canon Rating: 1/10. Pigsy isnât willing to take any of Wukongâs shit, so he serves as a pretty great âbullshit barrierâ that provides a legitimately strict opposing force to Wukong, but thereâs little else to even their relationship out. Heâs never kind or supportive or worried- if the two interact, itâs always through the lens of âPigsy is mad/suspiciousâ. Thereâs never any real bonding or growth between them at all.
Fanon Rating: 4/10. This ship barely exists, and when it does itâs Sun Wukong being lectured through life by a big strong man- not a dynamic Iâm a fan of. However, it is surprisingly kind to Wukong in terms of empathizing with his struggles. Again, I wish there was less of âPigsy teaches Wukong basic life skillsâ because it falls right back into the revolting fanon that is âSWK is a big dumb fuck who canât read or cook or take care of himself without a husband to wipe his ass.â
Personal Enjoyment: 2/10. I just donât click with it. Pigsy doesnât like Wukong, doesnât trust him, and doesnât interact with him outside of that.
Moonstone
Name Rating: 10/10. This is what I like! Moonstone is not only a very real (and very beautiful) mineral, but it ties to both of them equally! You donât see Wukongâs status as a stone-born demon be referenced often, so this is a refreshing change of pace from the constant âpeachâ names.
Canon Rating: 7/10. Changâe is a lovely woman who is simultaneously not be willing put up with Sun Wukongâs bullshit while still legitimately respecting and admiring him. It makes for a nice duality in their relationship that most of his dynamics donât provide.
Fanon Rating: 10/10. The working dynamic is so fucking good to start with that Iâve never once seen fanon drop the ball. Never. This ship is always so fucking sweet and honest with Changâe calling out Wukong for his bullshit while never pushing it to the âShit on Sun Wukong Showâ levels that the fandom loves so much- she takes no shit, but does no harm. Sheâs supportive and acknowledges his traumas and fears. Wukong does his best for her. Moonstone shippers get an A+ and extra recess time.
Personal Enjoyment: 7/10. I just⊠I really like this one, dammit. Thereâs not a lot to go off of, but seeing fanworks that do not primarily treat SWK like living trash/baby the hell out of him is nice.
Lionpeach
Name Rating: 3/10. Again. Very boring and generic. Iâve seen Fuzzypeach which is a little cuter, at least. Still, itâs all the same âpeachâ+noun format.
Canon Rating: 3/10. The devotion Azure bears to Sun Wukong seems like it would bear a higher marking, but itâs shallow and flimsy. Azure never understood Wukong, never wanted what was best for him, never cared about his safety or happiness. Azure projects his beliefs and wants onto the people around him, blinding the big fella to shortcomings on their parts, and is delusional enough to never look inwards. Still, I can legitimately see
Fanon Rating: 0/10. Itâs just smut. Thatâs it. When it isnât itâs just âOoooh! Azure is jealous of Macaque! Tee-hee, sorry Azure!â and thatâs it. Iâve never actually seen any non-sexual, Azure-focused Lionpeach.
Personal Enjoyment: 5/10. Itâs a fun enough dynamic to explore, especially with how unhealthy it is. Iâll probably make a bot of this too one day. Maybe a âyandere dadsâ type. Or a mutual Primal Moon bot.
Celestialchaos
Name Rating: 10/10. Another not peach-based name is a win in my book!
Canon Rating: 6/10. Xiangliu is civil enough to Wukong (about as much as everyone else), but the mention of them having once been friends is what got my attention. Shrouded past + + potential reincarnation shenanigans + decently civil behavior = a very happy writer. Itâs so little but it makes my brain itch.
Fanon Rating: 0/10. It doesnât even exist babes ;( Iâm scrounging for water in the lonely plains of a desert yâall. Iâm a lonely little cactus and Celestialchaos is my annual three-inch rain.
Personal Enjoyment: 10/10. Câmon now. You all were expecting this. I love this ship. Iâve already made four chatbots. I love Xiangliu as a wild little freak who desperately tries to push Wukong away from other people and sad lonely Wukong finding refuge in a freaky toxic snake. Especially I like the idea of Xiangliu pitting himself against Macaque and going after Sun Wukong just to cause a little trouble, only to actually catch feelings and start pursuing him in earnest. I like âI want you at your worst so I can prove that I still love you even thenâ Xiangliu and âYou love me at all?â Wukong.
I really like this ship.

Omg, welcome back, lovely!! đ
(More comments on your lovely comments below):
Such a sweet fic. At first, I felt a little bad because I can feel Dean justifying all the insecurities he has about himself, the self-hate was only 2 steps away. But I believed in her, I knew that she was not hesitant. I knew she was upto something.
Aww thank you!! Ah, you know Dean. Always so self-deprecating. I didn't get too deep into "why" he starts fretting already when he sees her gone, but for all those reasons you mentioned. I felt like anyone who knows Dean, knows why he goes there in his mind all too soon to "did she regret it already?"
She was upto celebrating his birthday. That melted my heart. Ofc she wants to celebrate this man. He should be celebrated every day, especially on the day he was born. And she baked him a pie. For his birthday. All those doubts he was having, they flew out of the window.
That she was!! Sneaky girl. đ And she got him good! Dean does deserve all the pie and celebrating him that he can take, even if he doesn't think he deserves it. đ„§
And I loved how stunted Dean was that he had to show his appreciation and his thank you by kissing her. He was at loss of words. He's never had that. He doesn't even remember when was the last time he celebrated his birthday.
He was shocked, wasn't he? đ It's crazy how little their birthdays are talked about or celebrated on SPN. Like I get it, they're trying to tell a lot of story, but there's nothing much centered around their birthdays, implying that they don't really celebrate them. đ
Thank you for such a sweet fic. You have no idea how much I needed this. (And also, I'm really very sorry for having disappeared. I'm trying to get some time to catch up on all those lovely fics you've written. I promise it'll be soon. I can't wait to read them. And thank you for not removing me from your tags.) Keep up the good work.
Aww you're very welcome! đ„č That's part of the reason I write and share -- in case anyone needs the same dose of escapism as I do. đ
Don't apologize, hun! Real life always comes first and I hope you're well, but I'm also glad to see that you're back! If you do get a chance to read other stuff I've shared in the meantime, I would absolutely love it. đ

Dean woke to the sound of pouring rain hitting the roof of the bunker.
It mustâve been some torrential downpour, because it took a lot for him to hear anything of the outside world from inside this place. Good thing the old heaters kept out the January cold, too. Nothing worse than frigid rain.
Blearily he cracked his eyes open, unearthed an arm from where it was tucked under his pillow, and carefully raised his phone to check the time, trying not to let the light from the screen burn his retinas in the still dark room.
4:00 a.m.
He groaned. Goddamn it.
He turned over onto his other side to face where you shouldâve been lying next to him. He frowned when he saw nothing but the sheets pulled back and a dented, empty pillow.
No matter how he fought it down, a small tinge of worry, and the beginnings of disappointment churned in his gut. His brows furrowed.
Did you regret it already?
After his first make out session with you (turned more session) in the backseat of his Baby, you two struck a tentative agreement to figure what this could beâmore than hunting partners, allies, and friends. Despite the fact that you kissed him first (a fact he didnât easily let you forget), afterwards, youâd been a little hesitant about what came next.
âWe take it day by day,â heâd told you, with a sizzling kiss that stole your breath. âAll I know isâŠthis feels good.â
It felt right. You had definitely agreed with that.
Dean sighed through his nose, turning back onto his other side. It wasnât unusual for him to be a light (restless) sleeper, but the handful of times youâd joined him in his bed had been beginning to make his nights calmer. He was actually starting to sleep through until morning.
Whatâs more, after years of looking into your eyes and seeing all the possibilities of what if, he was finally getting to make those images solid, and real. He could touch them, taste them, feel them under his calloused hands. He finally had you for real.
He looked past your empty spot in his bed and didnât see your phone, or any of your rings on the nightstand. They were the first things you put on in the morning, and the last things you took off at night.
If those were goneâŠ
His disappointment was settling high in his chest now; an ache approaching pain.
Until he heard the light sound of bare feet padding back toward the bed. Your hand slid gently up his arm, and after the surprise wore off, the corners of his lips tugged upwards. Your hair was a bit wild and frizzy. It tickled his neck and shoulder when you leaned in to kiss his cheek.
âWhatâs this?â you whispered, swiping two fingers between the crunch in his brows. Dean relaxed with a small smile.
âNothinâ,â he claimed. His voice was deep and rough with sleep. âHad an appointment to get to or something?â
You smiled and settled into bed, embracing him from behind. He turned onto his back and welcomed you over, with an arm curling around your waist. He rested his hand on yours when it smoothed across his chest.
Subtly glancing down, he didnât find any of the silver you wore on the daily, including the ring with a small turquoise stone heâd bought you a couple weeks ago, on a hunt in Denver. That one, you now almost never took off.
âI put them away in a drawer,â you said, wiggling your fingers under his hand. Your hand felt dry, and a little like you'd been handling something dusty. Had you been up reading in the library again, lost track of time? âWhen I woke up, I saw one fell off the nightstand. Have a feeling it had something to do with the bedframe knocking against it.â
At that, Dean couldnât contain his lazy smirk.
âMy bad,â he said, sounding anything but sorry.
You laughed, shaking your head. You still laid a kiss below his shoulder before you settled back down. He gave your waist a gentle squeeze, pressing a kiss of his own to your forehead. A deep breath fell from between his lips, and his eyes closed.
A question was on the tip of his tongue. Where you were, why you got up. Was it something he could help with? Or was it one of those moments you needed to have alone, not unlike the times you gave him to settle with his thoughts, after a hunt gone sideways. If it was important, youâd level with him, wouldnât you?
So he let it be.
In the morning, you somehow once again managed to get out of bed without him feeling it. He didnât hear you either. Curiosity led him down the hall and glancing inside the cracked door of Samâs room. It was empty, his running shoes gone from the side of his bed. Dean rolled his eyes.
All right, Lance.
Oh, wait, that was biking. âŠWhatever.
Deanâs next path inevitably took him down to the kitchen. His stomach was already percolatingâin need of good coffee and (hopefully) good food.
The smell wafting from the kitchen surprised him, however. Cinnamon apples?
He turned the corner, and there he found you.
The fuck?
You looked a bit of a mess. Your hair was thrown up into a haphazard bun, and youâd stolen his apron. Though in his eyes, you made it look better, the white fabric hugging around your curves like you were Rachel Ray or something. You were frazzled when he came downstairs, but happy to see him. You beckoned him over and sat him down at the small kitchen table.
âSweetheart, whatâs going on here?â he asked, eying you curiously.
âJust stay there!â you called from the kitchen. He heard you opening the oven, cursing when you nearly dropped something.
What the hell were you doing baking before 9:00 a.m.?
He turned to ask you what was going on (and if you needed help), but before the words could come out of his mouth, you came over and carefully set down the pie in front of him. The rich aroma, the golden flaky crust, the flecks of cinnamon and glossy apples peeking out from the divots in said crustâit all had Deanâs mouth watering, and his shocked gaze fixed on the shiny pastry.
He startled a little when he felt your hands on his shoulders, sliding part of the way down his arms. You kissed the side of his head.
âThought I wouldnât remember, did you?â you teased. âHappy Birthday, baby.â
Deanâs throat constricted. He tried not to show it, but your gaze gentled when he finally met yours, like you were seeing through all his layers anyway. He realized then what you were probably working on last night, and he really couldnât fucking believe it.
Heâd forgotten his own birthday. Couldnât see much use in celebrating, when year after crappy yearâŠ
But he closed a hand over yours on his shoulder, and he brought your hand to his lips.
Every word he couldnât yet say to you was etched in that single gesture.
AN: Short and angsty sweet! lol And the monthly prompt was "pie!" đ„§ For Dean of course. đ
Hope you guys enjoy this one! đ

Ashen Knight 9
Kid Cinder: *looking at their new identities* Pfft, Jaune? That's the name they gave you?
Rk Jaune: *shaking his head* It was my real name, Cinder. The only thing they changed was the family name.
Cinder: *laughing* But Jaune?! Really!? Ahahahahah! It's just a color! What, did your mom lack names that were related to your hair color?
Jaune: Yes, actually.
Cinder: ... Wait really?
Jaune: Seven sisters and a bunch of cousins that are all blond really weeded out the number of names they could use. Heck, if i remember correctly, i had... Have? *Shake his head* One of them was called dandelion and another crucifer, which is basically another name for mustard.
Cinder: ... That last one did sound badass though.
Jaune: ... I do have to agree on that one. *Taking another look at the false papers* The last name isn't bad at least.
Cinder: Amaryllis? Why? It sounds like we are from Argus.
Jaune: It's a good cover. A father and daughter leave Argus to search for a better life in Atlas-
Cinder: *deadpan* The grimmland would have been preferable to this god forsaken place.
Jaune: *roll his eyes* I know Atlas is the second worst place in Remnant after Mistral, but trust me when i say that i'd prefer to stay another hundred years in the ever after instead of getting my foot in the grimmlands for more than a week.
Cinder: *pouting* But i still want to go!
Jaune: ... *Kneeling down to her size, smiling at the little girl* Cinder, i know that you want to leave this place as soon as possible. *Chuckle* Trust me, i miss Vale as much as you hate Atlas... But you saw how Winter reacted when she talked about her dad. *Shaking his head* I can't just leave her alone, nor her or her siblings.
Cinder: *Sigh* I know that, but why can't i just use my semblance on him? It would be finished in a matter of seconds!
Jaune: *serious* And you'd have killed.
Cinder: *trying to justify herself* B-but he's a bad guy! Like in your stor-
Jaune: *Cutting her, his voice authoritative* Cinder!
Cinder: *surprised by Jaune reaction* W-whu-
Jaune: *sigh, calming his voice* Cinder... Killing is not a solution to a problem. It's a consequence. *Closing his eyes, taking a deep breath* Grimms don't have feelings. They don't have aspirations or dreams... But peoples? People have dreams. *Open his eyes, seeing Cinder's eyes reflecting his own* When you look at me, what do you see?
Cinder: *unsure* M-my savior? A knight?
Jaune: *shaking his head* Cinder, when i look at you, i see how good you can be. I see your future, i see all your potential... But do you know what i see when I have to kill someone? When they lay before me?
Cinder: *shake her head*
Jaune: *sigh* I see nothing... When they die, they cannot change anymore, Cinder. Death is the end, not A end, THE end. Killing someone is robbing them of their future, of everything they could have done. You cannot repent in death... *Look at his broken sword* Nor can you dream of better days...
Cinder: *looking down, ashamed of even thinking about killing Jacques* I'm sorry... I thought i could be useful... I just-
Jaune: *taking her in his arms, hugging her* You don't need to be useful, Cinder. You need to be you, to be happy!
Cinder: *slowly hugging the knight back, silently crying* B-but then... What good am i?
Jaune: *Tightening his hug a little bit* You aren't a tool, Cinder. You are a kid... Be kind, be happy... And that will be plenty enough.

The way you can empathize with Oz throughout the first part of the series, how they gradually reveal his sociopathy, how this gradually builds with what happens to his brothersâbut still leaves a hint of doubt, a reflex to justify him, something thatâs completely shattered when you see that his narcissism is capable of letting his mother be harmed just to avoid facing his own mess, and then they fully solidify him as an irredeemable villain with what he does to Vicâitâs brilliant. The Penguin doesnât try to make you understand Oz or justify him; it doesnât humanize the character. Instead, it begins with him already humanized, slowly peeling back the layers, the very same layers of deception, lies, and false appearances he uses to manipulate everyone around him. Underneath, thereâs nothing but absolute darkness, and by the time heâs at his lowest point, youâre just wishing Batman would actually show up and take him down, punish him ruthlessly. You end up thinking it canât end like thisâhe deserves punishment. Not because you believe good should triumph over evil but because youâve been made to empathize with and care for a character throughout the series, and Oz has destroyed that character in the most cruel and vile way possible.
The script makes you see Vic as a reflection of the city itself: the impoverished side, the vulnerable, the one fighting to survive, the wronged, the hopeful, the one who makes poor choices not from a bad heart but from the need to get byâand you see how Oz takes advantage of that need, giving Vic hope for a future only to betray him and destroy it all. And thatâs when you feel, when you shout: this guy has to be stopped. Oz isnât just a thug, a mob boss, or the ruthless but entertaining scoundrel anymore; heâs a true supervillain. And supervillains have to go down.
Itâs absolutely masterful. I tip my hat to it; Iâm still in shock, but I hope Iâm making senseâwhat an incredible script, performances, characters, everything. Theyâre not deconstructing the villain; theyâre deconstructing the deconstruction of the villain. Itâs pure screenwriting poetry.

MESSERSCHMIDT (16450) in your chart isn't something subtle or easy. itâs a heavy hand, a brutal cut that pulls you to the edge, tearing apart whatever comfort you have and showing you the raw aftermath. think of it as life ripping the bandaid off in the most unforgiving way possible, pushing you into chaos and leaving you with consequences you have no choice but to confront. itâs a ruthless teacher, one that throws you into the darkest extremes of your own existence until you face parts of yourself you never wanted to see.
â
EXAMPLE: ted bundy's messerchmidt his messerschmidt in the 2nd house, sitting in libra at 4°âa cancer degreeâscreams deep self-worth issues. he was a man starved for validation, but in the most twisted, destructive way. he might have craved material things, but it wasnât really about possessions; libraâs influence made it all about power and control in relationships. his interactions with women were warped, nothing short of viciousâmanipulative, domineering, a game of possession. to him, women were objects, there only for his control and exploitation. he hid behind a charming mask, using it to get what he wanted from people. libra rules justice, which adds another layer; i think he wrestled internally, questioning if his actions were âright.â but he twisted the narrative to justify himself, feeding his twisted sense of entitlement. he saw the world as unfair, and his answer was brutal violence. his need for validation was so consuming that it fueled his drive to dominate, the same way his violent behavior erupted. his crimes? just a sick means to feed his hollow self-worth. that cancer degree points back to familyâhis home life likely left him void of real love. maybe his mother or caretaker was absent, emotionally cold, or worse, stoking his bitterness and rage against women.

MESSERCHMIDT IN AQUARIUS / 11TH HOUSE friendships are where messerschmidt strikes hardest, pulling people close only to throw them into betrayal or abandonment. thereâs a brutal edge to your social lifeâyou attract people who tear you down, backstab you, or leave when youâre most vulnerable. dreams and ideals get ripped to shreds as reality refuses to meet your expectations. itâs loneliness, over and over, as every attempt to connect seems cursed, leaving you questioning if you even belong anywhere.
MESSERCHMIDT IN PISCES / 12TH HOUSE messerschmidt here is the ultimate isolation. the subconscious becomes a hellscape where unresolved trauma festers. self-sabotage is constant, and thereâs no escape from the memories and fears that haunt you. youâll be pulled into dark places, stuck in cycles of self-destruction, as you confront every unresolved piece of yourself in brutal clarity. mental health spirals, leaving you feeling like an outcast in your own mind. every shadow youâve hidden from drags you down, and thereâs no running from it.

@carpediemma made a poll post about which characters would be who in an alice in wonderland au and none of the one's winning are the ones i want so i will now be justifying my thesis
alice - niko. above all else, alice must be curious and kind. she is also afraid, a lot, because she's in a wild new world - very similar of how niko is scared and in a new world (both ghost/supernatural, america, and a world without her father)
white rabbit - edwin. polite yet preoccupied, punctual yet anxious, obsessive yet unpredictable, always dressed smart... the similarities go on. and while i think some of their actions might not align entirely, i think there is a case to be made for edwin shewing someone along, insisting it must be done his own way
mad hatter - charles. playful, defiant to social norms, bit of an eccentric dress style! though charles is a bit less over the top, i feel that in the right environment, he could go totally mad. hatter has a lot of fun but there is this hint of despair to him which to me, entirely emulates charles
the dormouse - jenny. tired, confused, and underpaid, next question
the march hare - maxine. unpredictable, bizarre, reckless, excitable. not a huge character so not too much to go from but i see some loose similarities in the erratic nature - it's not that they're evil, it's that they're so invested in existence that they might stab you
please do not think of the implications of shipping the dormouse and the march hair i will not be held responsible for that
tweedledee and tweedledum - litty and kingham. petty?? childish?? looks similar??? guys come ON there is no more iconic duo in dbda! they're not very kind, they're not anti violence, they love attention- am i talking about the tweedles, or litty and kingham? you literally can't tell.
the caterpillar - tragic mick. appears when alice is uncertain and needs help, prompts her to reflect on her own identity. not particularly nice but is very helpful and kind, in his own way. calm, almost cryptic, slow manner of speech.
cheshire cat - the cat king. im not gonna explain this one
ok guys bare with me for the next two. they're kinda controversial. i could see them flipped and i did flip them many times but this is what i decided on
the duchess - esther. the duchess is abusive to her child (monty), but can be overly affectionate, as well. duchess is hella comedic in a dark way, she's got a fucked up relationship with power (duchess is a slave to the Queen, esther is a slave to the Snake), she's absurdly contradictory (like esther and her contradiction of wronging girls using lilith's gift)
the queen of hearts - the night nurse. the queen cannot see a way of life other than executions. i know she SEEMS hella emotional, but legit, i think it's more this desperate desire for feelings and sensations because she is so stuck in a loop of being listened to. the night nurse is similarly stuck in this loop of bureaucracy. neither are happy and neither have any true meaning to their lives. they both also seem to lack a nuance to empathy (nurse thinking ends justify the means so no need to feel guilty about the means, almost viewing finding the boys as a game in order to feel SOMETHING). neither would not survive a day in therapy
the king of hearts - kashi. foil to the queen of hearts, very minor character. gentle, soft spoken, trying his best, exists more in his own universe than anywhere else. the key difference is if they went to therapy, kashi's therapist would end up getting therapied, and king would just break down sobbing
the knave of hearts - monty. while if esther was the queen, maybe this would be more apt, but this is my analysis so i'll do what i want. the knave is a victim of absurd injustice, is somewhat sympathetic but ultimately a perpetuater of this same system. monty does the same thing with esther & her abuse. he is also young and handsome which, we've all seen joshua colley, i don't need to explain
the talking rose - crystal (with/pre-david.) haughty, mean, cruel, flirtatious. she's not a villain but she's definitely not on your side. she's critical, both of your looks, personality, and general vibe. but she's also just one of the many flowers, kind of how crystal was just one of the rich kids, not really doing all that much
in this version, i'd have when the flower's roots are freed be the same energy as the boy's getting rid of david. moment of self-transformation, free from curse. i will probably make a follow up post on how i'd do the plot, but i wanted to throw that bit on david out there.
#yes i KNOW i combined alice in wonderland & looking glass characters fight me#dead boy detectives#alice in wonderland#edwin payne#charles rowland#crystal palace#niko sasaki#the cat king#jenny the butcher

peaceful property final thoughts: what is a home?
i remember the first time peaceful property was released as a mock trailer in gmmtv part 1 for 2024, and how excited i was for the series to air. i thought it to be a perfect ghostbusting plot for a show - and taynew have acted in many other non-BL shows that i was not too worried for it to be a BL or not BL. and internally, after seeing that trailer, i had an idea on how the show was gonna be on what it means to have a home, have a family and understand its better meaning.
now that the show has ended, it has come true in its best form. all the spirit stories was so rooted in the little things that most people would want, and each story ngl made me cry. it gave emphasis on family, on building homes, building warmth and building a sense of familiarity with love and care. and how even with care, the financial difficulties of most people get highlighted. it was endearing to me, because it gave me every flavour of drama, angst, hate, anger, horror, fear and love i thought i didnt need but i did. so badly.
i can definitely say the show was a lot on breaking, healing and building new stuff over the old, with the theme remaining constant over all of the episodes. personally, it provided a new meaning to home. we list a lot of thing while we talk about what home means to someone, in poetry, prose, media and daily life. and i believe you cant find one absolute meaning of home. the show said the same thing here as well. however, it add more depth to the things already said. how home lies within the people, not the buildings we create. its the memories that emphasise a home.
and i think here, the best example to explain home was through uncle somkid. the denial of care and affection he felt through years doesnt equate to the comfort he got at last, knowing his father did love him all those years, left him memories and things behind. and for us as the audience, probably, the arc that somkid got may not be correct because one may think the emotional unavailability of gramps and the whole family doesnt give the correct closure that somkid probably needed. but we find out somkid saying that he finally got the closure he needed. and that is something only he could justify, not us.
i learnt a deeper meaning of how home is everything - the chaos, disagreements, fights, denial of love, hate, laughter, envy, jealousy, pride, ego, disappointment, love, care, affection, warmth, being safe and content of being together with people. and feeling that all with people has become so valid. because you go through all those emotions in the course of life with people/buildings/memories you used to call/call/will call home. these feelings dont remain constant but they show up.
the way i interpreted "home" is still vague and may be incorrect, but i have felt this as i keep defining more homes over the course of my life. i have felt these emotions somewhere or the other while being in homes and its now something which makes me feel warm and content. and this show, made me feel it all.
will like to end my string of thoughts with this thought in mind.
#peaceful property#peaceful property on sale#tay tawan#new thitipoom#mook worranit#janhae ployshompoo#dome jarupat kannula#on sale the series#haunted house on sale#home peach kan pang suradech#why is it every TayNew show always putting me in my feels and making me write stuff#i have had so many thoughts on what is home so so much#my thoughts havent ended or gotten a perfect answer#but somehow the show did give me a new outlook to define home#i am too much in my feels rn#the main lead (almost) died (indian soap era edition)#happy ending for the gang but my heart goes out to uncle somkid and gramps for so many reasons#i am surprised that all the actors who were in ep 1 came back in ep 12#full circle moment? idk

Agatha All Along deep dive: episode 1 part 3
(Wandavision entries: [1][2][3])
(AAA entries: ep1 [1][2][3][4])
so babe, hear me out. we could adopt him. just spitballing here (agatha, probably)
bwahhaha fantasy!billy and his death stare, meanwhile real billy is such a polite baby
if you look closely you can tell Joe Locke is fighting for his life holding down laughter in a lot of his scenes with Katrhyn. he has nerves of steel, couldn't be me
(also, billy telling her she has neither the respect of her peers NOR a fulfilling home life? harsh, but fair.) (at least her wife is trying to fix the home life part)
honey, don't go around kicking grumpy little twinks now! perfectly in character. despite her chaotic exterior, rio is a very lawful person. she is literally the laws of nature!
the Ballad plays faintly in the background when Billy mentions the Road
I love when good actors have to pretend to be bad actors. and I also find it interesting that Agatha cast herself as a good guy. does it make her feel better about herself? is she telling herself that all the atrocities were justified, that it was only survival instinct? (like rio said, she's only lying to herself)
I had to look up the painting, it's Macbeth meeting the three witches (thank you Reddit!) So Macbeth (Agatha) and Banquo (Billy) meeting Lilia, Jen and Alice?
how did I miss Billy sitting on the chair Rio was just on?! amazing lens choices here too
Wanda's death makes her cry again. I honestly, honestly believe she feels awful about what she did to her. but guilt will never be enough to redeem her - especially because she tends to run away from it.
Wanda's magic was so strong that it took at least four things to undo the spell: Wanda dying, Rio's intervention, Billy's counterspell, and Agatha's willpower. It was a group effort, Agatha could have never done it alone. And despite her scorched earth tactics, there are still two people in her life, rio and billy, willing to help out in her hour of need
it's naughty tiiiime
I still really love the curls
can I say iconique?
it's like someone's about to die at the end of this
bwahahahahaah and oh my GAWD all the case files and boxes, where did she GET that stuff, did she rob a precint, did she make them with the power of arts and crafts
you know what I think? being naked here is a power move. she is being very over the top because she's really uncomfortable, she just woke up and she's in those moments when you stop dreaming and have to relearn what's real and what isn't. she is someone used to calculate and scheme and micromanage every aspect of her life and she is not in control right now. what does Agatha do to reclaim control? she puts on a show. to her, being under the spell was way more like being naked, her insecurities and emotions and past were out in the open for everyone to see. being physically naked could never be nearly as distressing, and this is a nakedness she chose, because it tells people nothing about herself, nothing of what she wants to keep secret and protected. she's got the upper hand, not the other way round
you are all cowards and sheep for not saying Wanda's name, says the lady who would rather hide under a dozen magic layers than face her problems
that is so nice that they brought her groceries actually??? and lol those are the flowers in Agatha's crime scene pictures
that little girl is having a great time
FUCK CLOTHES BUT FUCK THESE CLOTHES SPECIFICALLY!!!!
(wait am I allowed to post butt cheeks? what are the rules right now?)
she turns quiet and emo as soon as she's alone
why doesn't she just - kiss the wiwwle bunny. bury her nose in that big fluffly head. even villains need a cuddle sometimes.
sure, bring señor scratchy. so menacing. that'll show them.
poor boy. trapped in a closet with ralph's bluray collection
aaand I really want to get to the next scene so I'll start on it right away, hopefully it'll be ready later tonight
go to part 4

Levi never Glorified Violence and Never needed to be Taught a Lesson that Violence is Wrong:
Nothing makes me want to rip my hair out more than when I see clowns saying Levi was "blinded by revenge" over wanting to kill Zeke, that he was "too violent", and that's why he got blown up by the thunderspear.
It's such a deeply, fundamentally WRONG understanding of why Levi wanted to kill Zeke, and also, of why he ended up getting blown up. I've already spoken about the strategically sound reasoning behind Levi's actions, which you can read here, if you're interested: https://www.tumblr.com/cosmicjoke/746918499422781440?source=share But to summarize, Levi hooking Zeke to the thunderspear made perfect, logical sense within the context of Zeke's own actions and behavior up to that point. Zeke was someone who until then had engaged in tactics of deception and double-crosses, who had only killed others while at a safe distance and within the cocoon of his Titan form. Decidedly the actions and behavior of a coward. Levi had no, good cause to suspect Zeke would be willing to blow himself up to also take Levi out, and so his reasoning that the thunderspear would act as insurance against Zeke escaping while Levi was preoccupied with driving the cart back to the capital was a reasonable and logical conclusion for him to make. It wasn't a decision blinded by rage or an action taken in hast. Just like it was reasonable for Zeke to assume Levi would rather die than cut down his own comrades, because he knew of Levi's compassion. Both of them underestimated each other, and both of them paid for making assumptions about the other.
But further to the point, this whole idea that Levi was being "punished" for his violence is the stupidest shit I've ever seen. Because it basically posits that Levi glorified violence, and so needed to be "taught a lesson" that violence was wrong, when he's the one character in the story who NEVER did that. He never reveled in violence, he never tried to frame it as something good or desirable, or even tried to justify it. He always spoke about and treated violence for what it was, a means to an end and nothing more. He never tried to moralize it or excuse it. He was always completely objective about it.
Compare, for example, the matter of fact way Levi explains violence and killing to Armin and Jean, versus how Zeke frames his own actions of violence. Zeke calls his murder of people a "mercy". He frames it as a positive action which results in a positive, better outcome. He has a totally warped view of killing and violence because he tries to justify it and moralize it to himself and others. He tries to frame his violence as something which makes him a hero. Levi does no such thing. He tells Jean and Armin that he doesn't know if it's right or wrong to kill, only that if Armin hadn't killed that MP, they would all be dead, and that Armin can't go back to the person he was, because he's now taken human life. He isn't justifying it, or moralizing it, he isn't trying to spin it into something positive or good, or even into something bad or wrong. He's simply stating an objective truth and then telling the 104th that they need to make their own choice about what they believe is right and wrong in any, given situation.
Or compare the way Levi approaches torturing Sannes to how Hange does. Hange goes into that situation gung-ho at the idea of torturing Sannes, because she wants revenge on him for killing Pastor Nick. She thinks she'll enjoy torturing Sannes, and attempts to enjoy it by taking it to an extreme, only to realize she's getting no satisfaction at all from her cruelty. By comparison, Levi never does or even attempts to take pleasure in the act of torture. He approaches it as a means to an end, something he has to do in order to obtain the information they need to overthrow the current government. There's no justification in his mind, no excuse he tells himself to make himself feel better about it. He already knows it's horrible and ugly. He already understands perfectly the wretched reality of violence. Again, he's the ONLY character in the story who does, from start to finish. It's why Hange is so rattled and upset after torturing Sannes, because she thought it would be fun, only to learn it was anything but. Levi never thought it would be fun, he never expected it to be, never wanted it to be, and he never tried to convince himself that it was anything better than what it actually was. It's why we see his shocked expression when Hange engages in unnecessary cruelty by ripping one of Sannes' teeth out. He's always been the most objective character when it comes to violence. He's never labored under any belief that his violence made him a hero, and he never tried to glorify violence to anyone or told them they were heroes for killing.
It's also why Yelena says to him what she does, during the final arc, and the battle at the docks. Because she knows that he knows, better than anyone, the inherent violence of the human condition and the ugly reality of it. Yelena is trying to again push her fanatical belief in Zeke's antinatalist philosophy, by pointing out that people are always going to kill and be cruel to each other, and she makes the point to Levi specifically, because she knows Levi is the only one who'd already long ago understood and accepted that truth.
So this idea that Levi is this ultra-violent, revenge-obsessed lunatic that needs to be taught that "violence is bad" is fucking moronic, and I am SICK TO DEATH of seeing people perpetuate that bullshit take. I want to tell everyone who does to just shut the fuck up already, because they're actively damaging the perception people have of Levi's character every time they spew that garbage.

What are your thoughts on some of the wording that is used to describe Taash's gender dysphoria in Veilguard?
Anytime their gender identity crisis is discussed, it's always called "non-binary stuff." There is also one character in the wetlands who is non-binary and they say that another character helped them with their "non-binary" stuff.
Surely, the terms gender dysphoria, gender identity crisis, or even just saying "helped me figure out that I was non-binary" would have been better writing.
It feels like they didn't have faith in people to understand other terms or context clues.
Please note that this ask is not meant to be in bad faith and there is no pressure to answer.
I am generally curious if this is an example of bad writing or if non-binary stuff is the correct term over gender dysphoria or gender identity crisis in this context.
I think it all goes back to just using "non-binary" in the game itself. And while I get how some enbies think it's important to use our language to describe us in fiction, and that's a justified opinion to hold, I'm going to disagree. Games with heavy and extensive lore and actual conlangs shouldn't just fall back on hyperspecific modern terms when we all know they're capable of delivering the same message in a way that doesn't lean on the fourth wall or break immersion. Krem, for all the clunkiness that surrounded him, got a whole in-universe explanation for how he fit into the Qun.
Now, to be clear, I'm not saying I value immersion over representation, or that nonbinary people are immersion-breaking. That's an insane opinion to hold. It's just that I, personally, feel more out-of-place and alienated when a fictional world's attempts at including me uses modern terminology. It doesn't tell me that I belong in that world and there is space for me in it, but that there isn't. This vast world, which has fantastical locations and magic and Blighted old gods and dragons, which has room for all of those things, but doesn't have room for language and identities unique to it that might reflect mine? It has to use language that doesn't belong there to explain people that supposedly do? Do you get my issue here? There is an inherent contradiction in this approach.
By not bothering to integrate nonbinary people into Thedas, by falling back on and insisting on modern terminology, BioWare isn't telling me "you're valid, you belong" it's telling me "your presence is so incongruous with our world that we couldn't do anything but use existing terminology to describe you." In their attempt to be inclusive, they just didn't bother to actually integrate nonbinary identities into its world. Then they keep highlighting their own failure by pointing at my identity and telling everyone in their world how valid it is. Imagine you're just existing in a crowd and some motherfucker points you out and goes "YOU. YOU'RE VALID! EVERYBODY LOOK AT HOW VALID THEY ARE!" That's what's bothering me the most. It makes me feel like a freak, not like I belong. And maybe that's a me problem, but given the responses I've seen to my Taash posts, I don't think it is.
Anyway, sorry for that tangent. I don't think gender dysphoria or gender identity crisis would've been better writing, personally. I was pretty confused for why this random NPC told me about their gender identity at all, to be frank. Especially when they, in the first conversation, gave us their pronouns in a very naturalistic way, and Rook + the companions repeated those pronouns later. Like, for me? That, combined with Flynn's very androgynous appearance, was enough to clue me in to who they were. We only have two interactions with this person (AFAIK, if they show up again then I haven't gotten to that point in the game yet), there really doesn't need to be a spot where they clarify their highly personal discovery of their gender identity.
However, if you're very desperate to include this as explicitly as BioWare intends, I have a solution: have them only mention the "non-binary stuff" to a trans and/or nonbinary Rook. My Rook is nonbinary and people know this about them, and since Rook is becoming well-known, people will know their pronouns and identity. So, have Flynn be like "Yeah, my mentor helped me figure myself out. You know how hard it can be to do on your own, Rook." Ya know? Suddenly, you get what they're talking about without having them to be like "ah yes, have I mentioned I am non-binary today?"
I get wanting to make things explicit, but it happens at the cost of believability and actually representing how enbies exist as people. I don't talk to friendly strangers like "I had a hard time figuring out I'm nonbinary, but I got there in the end!" Most of my classmates only know I'm nonbinary because it says so on my Discord profile, and the same goes for the ones I know are nonbinary. Most of it is just clocking each other across the room or hearing other people use our chosen pronouns.
As for Taash's dysphoria ... That's another long-ass can of worms type post that I might make once I'm finished with the game and have a complete image of their storyline. But rest assured, I have plenty of thoughts on that, as well.

Unpopular Klance opinions because I had been in this fanbase for quite a long time. So I have seen things and I'm coping with current events yk
Fans do tend to treat them both differently 100%. We all have our biases of course but fics do tend to baby Keith more, his mistakes are usually excused and Lance's pain is used to fuel his character development. Lance is usually the blandest most protective sunshine boy or an unrepentant jerk whose suffering is deserving because he choose Allura instead.
And some fics who try to focus on Lance growing post s8 only end with his big character resolution being...winning Keith back? Show that he has grown enough to finally deserve him or something. Eh, not a fan.
Both are pretty boyish boys but different fans have different interpretations of the characters and thats fine. But it seems that the reaction for Keith going for more "feminine" clothes and appearance is more accepting, while some people react strongly if its Lance instead.
Like the way some oppose so much to the idea of Keith being taller than Lance but also make Lance clearly taller than the actual difference they have in the show.
And the way some people are still mad about Lance's childish rivalry in the first seasons before his relationship with Keith improved but say nothing about Keith's jerkish tendencies or justify it with "he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings"
Just let's maybe think why there is the tendency to make Lance the boyish, tallest, abrasive, perverted one while Keith is the sensitive, beautiful, short, innocent one
Maybe I will add more things later but, basically as a Lance stan I have become really cautious with the KL content I see.
Nothing wrong, overall that's how fandom works and I'm not entitled to the content others make, its just my personal taste and observations and i needed to vent

Arc 9: Sentinel, Concluding Thoughts
Remarkably, an entire arc where the POV isn't Taylor Hebert is still a pretty bad time for those involved.
I like the Brockton Wards, mostly. Vista is by far my favorite of the bunch because she's cooler than all of them and also a middle schooler, and honestly that's super fucked up. I like Clockblocker, Weld, Flechette, I got a little annoyed with Kid Win being so down on himself but he was basically fine, and Shadow Stalker.
I'm sure we're going to get more Shadow Stalker in the next arc or two, unless they just bury her in wet cement next chapter which I kind of doubt, but I want it now because I am desperate to find out what the fuck happened to make her the kind of person who legit buys into alpha/beta crap to the point of murdering people over it. Taylor hasn't killed anyone yet and this entire serial is about how she justifies ever-increasing acts of violence to respond to problems caused in no small part by her previous acts of violence; Vista getting first blood before her is a fucking tragedy and Shadow Stalker having multiple kills notched is a horror story. I need this to make sense, and also if we can avoid more weird racist connotations in making sense of this that would be great.
Didn't love the Travelers fight, like I mentioned. The investment wasn't really there for me, there weren't really any stakes to it so the whole thing was just kind of a space filler.
Shocked that the Slaughterhouse Nine are being signposted as early as this, too. Not that I'd put it past them to be in the Bay within a month of Leviathan, but I continue to be surprised at Worm's pacing. I don't think I'm gonna love that part of the story but if I can hold my nose through every interaction with Coil, I can probably handle the Nine.
Vista is. Okay for real though, what the fuck is happening with the Protectorate/PRT and throwing this middle schooler into constant life-or-death situations. She was at Leviathan, which, okay sure, pull out all the stops when the alternative is complete annihilation, make the birthday girl kill a man to put fifteen seconds on the game clock while we're at it. She was at the Empire's murderous tantrum alongside other Wards and New Wave, which I guess is because she's one of the only heroes whose powers can keep up with all the flyers in the Empire? Still wild choice there. She was instrumental in the disarmament of Bakuda's magnum opus mega-EMP along with Clockblocker, and I know he's the big name for the team but why didn't they just put Armsmaster on that to tinker the problem away? I feel like putting EOD duty on the teenaged public figures is an incorrect call someone made. I'd love to find out who, and maybe throw pieces of brickwork at them while they have to hold still. Can somebody stop throwing this girl into horrific combat scenarios as a government-employed child?
I'm going to keep pointing and laughing at Coil though, because the man is literally only succeeding at his infiltration of the PRT because they're letting him, and now he's only going to have a Ward as his own personal mole because they're letting him. Man wants to control an entire city and the whole thing would collapse if a single government organization stopped letting him take Ws he thought he earned.
I want to read those summaries of the studies done on that Dallon-Pelham clan though. Desperate to know if whatever insane WASP nuclear family nightmare goes on in those homes leaked into the research papers.
And then yeah, looking back at the ambush with Sophia. I was really glad to see the squad again, honestly, and it's great to see them working together, especially to take down a killer gunning for their own. A little funny that Sophia prides herself so highly for being a hunter of men and she fell for a classic ambush without even blinking.
Guess we get to find out what that's all building up to in the next arc, eh?

Some people are acting like the viewers are arguing whether Jackâs anger is justified or not. Thatâs not what Iâm seeing. Itâs more about the actions resulting from that anger, the timing, the targets, just...I donât know. Something feels off. Â
The weird levels of intensity as well. Like, am I the only one thinking that the Save is a snake reveal was so underwhelming? Like, Hope gets 2 punches, Save gets a "Donât let me see this bastardâs face again" and thatâs it??? But if Joke stole the ring and gave him to Boss "We might have to kill him"????
Also, it feels repetitive. Like, again? Ep10-11 bringing us back to ep1-2 like...(on purpose probably but still)
Again, we donât know whatâs gonna happen in ep11 and how the rest of the hospital scene is gonna go, but personally, I guess I want something like:
Joke telling Jack that he did it to free him, that he didnât know the consequences, etc and Jack being like "Idgaf.  Am I supposed to be thankful? Well, Iâm not. You and grandma just scolded me about taking big decisions without consulting you first. The next day, you go and do the same thing. Now look where we are. At this point the broken promise isnât the problem, you fucked up the whole community, you better find a way to fix it, you and your little idiots (Hoy, Tattoo and Arun)...and Iâll also help...and then we seriously need to talk". And then during the whole preparation for the final fight, Jack could be cold as fuck, because he is rightfully angry, not just at Joke, but the heist crew, Save, Hope, Boss, the Horsemen, everyone.
But from the next ep teaser, it seems like the scene will end in a separation (again) and Iâm just a little bit done. Communication issues, while realistic, also get old and my annoyance is just as real (unless it's part of a plan, which I also doubt with Joke writing "100 ways to say thank you without having to see each other"...yeah)
#jack and joker#jack & joker#jack and joker the series#jack & joker the series#I really want to talk about everything thatâs been bothering me after watching ep10#but damn itâs so hard to organize my thoughts about the show

So I'm not really that into Arcane fandom or anything like that but is anyone else a little worried for how season 2 is progressing thus far? I'm not talking about the apparent Caitlyn vitriol that some people are falling into- god forbid you have complex characters am I right. But watching the first act of season 2 it's all so terribly rushed and not in the same way season 1 had fast pacing but with tight writing to make up for it.
Spoilers for the first 3 episodes ahead but the fact that we barely even get to know the new enforcer characters that come to Zaun annoys me. The most we have is the girl introducing herself to Vi. The other two aren't even named in the show let alone have any sort of personality. For the big shield guy why is he even allowed to be an enforcer???? Sir you were seemingly living on the streets drinking away your problems last I checked with no indication you were or wanted to be an enforcer. The kid that follows Jinx around doesn't even have any sort of lines until episode 3- which would be fine if it was clearly a deliberate choice for her character but considering that the show is trying to juggle so much it just feels like she fell to the wayside.
I'm also very much not a fan of how the 2nd season is structuring its storylines thus far- certain scenes loose their tension because they're so intercut with other scenes happening simultaneously- take the vi and jinx fight for example. Like I get it you wanted to show how them interacting with the run was actively interfering with the fight but the constant cuts back and forth leave a bad taste in my mouth. The structure they use for the various sections with music overplaying them are hit or miss to me- some I love, some I think should have been actual scenes with dialogue.
I'm also really sad to see them seemingly rush over bits of character development we really need to see. Like take Vi- her not wanting to be an enforcer is 200% justifiable and believable, we haven't been shown anything about how the enforcers work that would give Vi a reason to want to join. And then after the attack in episode 1 she silently comes to a decision to join which fine, I can buy her wanting to help now that Zaun is conducting terrorist attacks. But she just agreed to the plan to use the gray against the people of Zaun???? Really???? Vi did??? Shouldn't Vi, someone who is only joining the enforcers out of desperate necessity, be way more critical of any use of force in the undercity? There's even little things like when Caitlyn arrests the henchman I was expecting Vi to stand up for him because almost *everyone* in the undercity is some sort of criminal so that they can survive. But no it just turns into Vi asking them to ditch the side characters we know absolutely nothing about.
Speaking of Vi- for the record the cait/vi kiss in my opinion was stupidly forced in. I would have liked to see their relationship develop this season because in season 1 I could see the beginning of something there. I really loved the moment in the first episode where it's only when seeing Vi that Caitlyn breaks down a little because Vi is someone she can trust to be open with. Great stuff to further develop- oh no they're kissing after no development just to make the immediately following break up more dramatic? Great yay yippee representation -_- Don't get me wrong I would have loved to see it develop into a romance but not in episode 3 with no buildup (1st season does not count as buildup to me for an actual romantic relationship).
This is also somewhat petty but I do hate the fact that Ambessa is revealed to be behind the memorial attack in episode 3- I much would have preferred for that information to be revealed to the audience alongside whatever character discovers it. Revealing it like that is dramatic, sure, but I feel like it ruins the mystery of Ambessa's morality in a way that is not satisfying.
All in all I'm not the happiest with these first 3 episodes but we'll have to see how the other 2 arcs go before making any judgement calls overall.
#arcane#arcane season 2#arcane spoilers#criticism#mae rambles#idk im just really unsatisfied with these first 3 episodes#i had hoped with them declaring this as the final season for this story#and with seemingly proper development time given to the team#that we would get an even greater successor to the 1st season right off the bat#bc if they know this is the ending then that means they had a very tight storyline planned out#but at this rate act 1 absolutely needed another episode to properly flesh out its shit and maybe not have things get sidelined or rushed#idk idk like i said final judgements will have to wait until the whole show is out

finding out i'm being talked about on twitter spaces by people i don't even know through an anon ask is crazy to me. i have never said anything about seunghan to illicit such a reaction from so many people. the way i've been talked about by "briize" for supporting riize and not boycotting makes me think there's alot more antis/solo stans who claim to be ot7 briize to justify being insane towards me or spineless "briize" that feel the need to hate on me to prove they're down with the bandwagon.
i have stated since the beginning of this account i am a briize. like it's simple as that, there's no changing that. i don't know how me being straightforward about my stance from the start warrants all this chatter. making up things about me to push this narrative is so insane it's laughable. the people talking about me in the twitter spaces have never said anything to me one on one either. they waited until they were in an environment with people who would validate their narrow mindset before talking about me.
i have always been candid and stayed true to myself, no amount of bullying is going to change that. no amount of chatter about me is going to change that i am NOT boycotting riize and i am NOT dropping them either. the sooner you guys move on from these ridiculous witch hunts and start focusing on other things you may get further with the goals you want to achieve. attacking me in this fight for seunghan is lazy. think bigger. get outside the sphere of the internet. nothing is helping him by sending me anon hate and chatting on twitter spaces. get a grip!
#i cant even name drop because i don't know these people#leave me alone if you aren't here to read fics and tweak out and occasionally fujo out with me GTFO MY PAGE!#talkingz
