Doom rant

Isabelle x doom guy is NOT canon. If you ship them fanonically, that's fine! But please stop taking one article you saw and running with it because its getting annoying for some of you non-doom fans to try and lecture me on what's "real".

First of all, Nintendo does not own the doom franchise. And second of all, Isabelle is three years old in human years. She's not going to drink jack Daniels she's literally a puppy, she's going to drink apple juice and cry when she gets a knee scrape. They're in two different universes and the picture of their marriage was uploaded to twitter by Bethesda, not the official doom account. Although Bethesda owns the rights, IT software still owns the game. The one where they hold hands is not official and is photoshopped. The official doom account on twitter tweeted things about it as a joke because new horizons and doom released on the same date making them friends. In fact, in smash bros doom guy is a costume for the mii gunner, he is not an actual playable character. If john Romero was still working on doom, i doubt he'd be okay with them getting "married". John Carmack himself said they're just friends. Not to mention that Isabelle is an anthropomorphic dog?? He wouldn't have cute tea parties with her and would probably try to kill her at first because she talks and she stands on two legs. If you've played the game then you know that animals can become corrupted and remnant souls. Also, despite his helmet being able to detect hell energy, we've already seen that some demons don't have any in them. He'd likely think she's either 1. a hallucination (doom 64, his hallucinations never went away) or 2. she's a zombified human in a football mascot costume. There is nothing in his universe that looks like her at all, and the whole point of his character is to be untrusting of literally everything. I mean for crying out loud he shut himself away from humanity for a time being when everything was temporarily over. If he ever dated anyone again, it would be a human. Also who's to say she wont just die? She doesn't have any special abilities, she's a dog with no weapons against demons. She wouldn't even be able to find him at first she'd be wandering around. And again, there are demons that look human enough but are truly vile. He wouldn't trust her for a long time. Besides, how would she even make a portal to his world if the only existing portal around is one to hell? He'd question if she's from hell herself.

He's a grown man who's been alive for eons without dating anyone. He can live a life alone and he literally chooses to be loyal to his wife and son, he doesn't need a plus one. He's always been loyal both to daisy and his wife. If he hasn't given up on daisy what makes you think he'd give up on his wife and kid? He even cut himself out of the picture he keeps on his desk in the newer game because he blames himself for their death. Its implied he was killing a demon boss for killing daisy while his wife and child were burning to death in a village during the first invasion. The khan maykr has unused lines where he mentions doom guys wife and child and doom guy picks up the picture, there was also supposed to be cut scenes about them but things were time sensitive. The picture being under his table is because he cant bare to look at them, not because he moved on. Its meant to be an easter egg and tear jerker, you're not supposed to look too hard into it.

(in the original 1993 version John Romero wanted to make a story but John carmack was rushing it because he wanted people to look at the game and be surprised by the coding and graphics. John carmack was the brains and john romero wanted story but the story was dropped.) It wasn't until doom eternal that Bethesda gave him a proper storyline while John Romero retired from working on the franchise. He then handed it over to john Carmack who decided with Microsoft that he would have a wife and son named Chloe and hunter. Daisy daisy still exists, it's just that your dead bunny isn't exactly a proper reason to go to hell and back (quite literally). Not to mention John Romero okayed this choice as well in an interview but i forget which one. In short you don't need to worry about the game being "different" or think that it ruins the game somehow. The whole "he's a virgin!!" thing was retconned 10 years ago bud. Consider how the bit might be fake because its only source is a potentially made up screenshot whose true source was never tracked down. I also wouldn't be surprised in John Romero added him having a wife and kid And to all the "maybe he's just john wick" commenters have you considered that the dog was a gift to john wick by his wife? Because there isn't a real reason to get that enraged over an animal unless its of course that. The plot has plot holes but i head canon that the bunny was his sons bunny and losing daisy was like losing apart of his son. I feel like wife and kid or not, daisy or not, he'd still fight because who wouldn't? Humans are dying, what else can you do?

Re-Sorting the Groups from my SSBU AU

So a few days ago I came up with a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate AU in which every character not explicitly killed in the World of Light's opening cutscene survives and has to take on the post-apocalyptic world. (See my original post for details.)

In that AU, the survivors are split into several smaller groups to make things more bite sized. What I didn't take into account was how many characters there are as alternate costumes that need to be treated as seperate characters for the sake of this AU. So today I'll be re-sorting them!

For the purpose of this list, I will only be including alternate costumes that are explicitly a different person (i.e the Koopalings and the Heroes). Multicharacters such as the Ice Climbers and Pyra/Mythra are also counted as multiple characters.

Behold, the new and improved groupings:

Change Log:

-Nana, Mythra, Alph, the Koopalings, the Dragon Quest Heroes, and the three Mii fighters now all count as their own characters. (I swear to GOD if there is anyone else I forgot)

-"The Perserverers" have been split into two groups, "The Combatants" and "The Ragtags." The Combatants all have professions that have to do with fighting of some kind (Ike is a mercenary, Cloud is a soldier, the Belmonts are vampire hunters, etc.). The Ragtags don't have a specific theme to them. Think of them as the little guys nobody would expect.

-To make sure all groups have a relatively even number of members after the split of The Perserverers, the following changes have been made: Meta Knight has been moved from The Littles to The Combatants, Olimar and Ness have been moved from The Littles to The Ragtags, Robin has been moved from The Nobles to the Combatants, Ganondorf and Iggy been moved from The Nobles to the Non-Humans, and Pac-Man and R.O.B. have been moved from The Non-Humans to The Ragtags. Mii Gunner, instead of staying with her fellow Miis in The Combatants, stays with The Ragtags instead. (I hope those are all of the group changes because I genuinely have lost track.)

-All groups besides The Survivor and The Newcomers now have precisely ten members. Adding together all groups, this makes for a total of sixty-seven survivors of Galeem's attack.

-The official name of this AU is now The Sixty-Seven AU. It's MY self-indulgent AU and I get to choose the name!

Theme: Victory! Greninja by Groovy Monkey Music

(Greninja stands upright, clasps its hands together, and assumes a ninjutsu stance.)

MASTER HAND: Next are Nintendo’s customizable avatars, a staple since the days of the Wil. They are “The Fighters of Many Faces”, the Mii Fighters!

CRAZY HAND: While their first appearance is on the Nintendo Wii’s Mii Channel, their first in-game appearance is “Wii Sports” for the Nintendo Wii.

Lucas time!

In Smash Bros Chronicles, Lucas joins literally like, 5 minutes after the end of Mother 3. And he is depressed. Mostly due to Claus' suicide, things in his mind rushing "If I only took the badge off." "If I noticed sooner." "If I went with him to fight the Drago" etc.

When he gets to the tourney, he meets Pikachu, who is the Pichu from Melee. The two bond. Lucas is still very depressed, and all he has is an emotional support Pokémon. Ness knows what happened to him because Master Hand has files on every character and the original 12 are allowed to see them. He feels guilty about letting Porky escape so he just doesn't interact.

Things get better during the 4th tournament. He meets with a dragon girl named Corrin. A 20 year old who was sheltered her whole life, kidnapped, found out her siblings weren't blood related, met her blood siblings, those two sides were at war, and she chose her adoptive siblings and was forced to lead the army to conquer the nation her bio siblings are royalty of.

This resulted in her fighting her oldest bio brother, and him committing sepuku so she wouldn't kill him, and her younger bio brother being possessed and needing to put him down. And the adoptive siblings...everyone there is extremely close, as close as possible for siblings. So now she's alone, without them, suffering from separation anxiety with a male version of her who made the opposite choice being the only somewhat familiar face.

Lucas had seen her file, and can somewhat relate to the sibling death thing. Corrin and Lucas become friends. Mind you, Lucas has not yet received therapy, so he's still depressed, he just puts on a smile.

This is revealed when he has to fight MegaMan and gets a PTSD attack. Afterwards, the two become friends though. And he opens up to him and Corrin and another person Corrin befriended, Dark Pit. And later, they befriend Mii Gunner, who is extremely important to the plot. Lucas is very shy, and has a fear of getting close to people lest he lose them too.

In Adventures, this is a Claus survives AU where Lucas brought him back with the needles' power. He was depressed in Brawl still, but thats because his brother was suicidal, not because he actually did it. And Lucas was shy, scared, and didn't know what to do. And then the events of Subspace happened and he befriended Pokémon Trainer.

In the series he's friends with Female Corrin for the same reasons as before, Villager, and an Inkling Girl (who has a crush on him that he does eventually reciprocate). Claus often visits and has many friends in this world, but female Robin, who sacrificed herself to defeat Grima knowing it would kill her and that the chance of her revival is little to none, well he can kinda relate. Lucas is still very shy and sweet and kind but touch anyone he cares about ESPECIALLY Claus and oh boy you are screwed!

Also I just realized would mayhem au count as a Claus survives au because he didn't survive, Lucas revived him (and may or may not regret doing that hence not reviving Hinawa)

Normally I was late, here's something for @murumokirby360 what Riya got for her Anniversary for Tory is she got herself is her new attire and the ability to help her brother and her best friend out in the Adventures between Smash Bros and Kingdom hearts. So Riya has her deck of cards ready and her weapons, she is a gunner like Speedy and uses an Arrow Gun and a Uzi Machine Gun. I bet she can work well as a gunner much like Speedy and Caleb who also works as a Survivalist like when he uses his Crossbow.

The MC is one if the three mii charecters and depending on the mii you get different charecters (Sword's a Senior, Fighter's Junior, Gunner's Freshman) haven't done a ton of planning other then whatever thoughts come across my head which are

Dr. Mario's a Senior, Mario's a Junior, Lugi's a Freshman.

Bowser's a Senior, Bowser Jr. is a Junior,

Pikachu's a Junior, Pichu's a Freshman

Charizard's a Senior, Ivysaur's a Junior, Squitle's a Freshman. Pokemon Trainer is either a teacher or a robot (explained below)

To make things intreasting each charecter will have a "secret" so far I've only figured out two

Pokemon trainer and their Pokemon are a Power Rangers like team with Pokemon Trainer being the guy who assembles the team but can't help for whatever reason

Sans: heh, i like your style, kid. but yeah. the different specials are charge blast, lazer blaze, grenade launch, flame pillar, stealth burst, gunner missile, lunar launch, cannon jump kick, arm rocket, echo reflector, bomb drop and absorbing vortex. there are so many combinations to make

Camilla: So in other words, miis are unpredictable?

Sans: yup, but once they use the four moves they chose, you can go from there. also, miis have a variety of different looks. some look normal, some look like other people, and some are just plain horrifying.
