I'm on a journey (albeit still relatively short at this point) to ✨️being a better person✨️for both myself and others and thought I would share the things I've learned thus far. (I am very tired right now so probably won't catch everything, but will update as I think of and/or learn new things)

This thing was kind of a progression learning, so I'll give you kind of the step by step

I can try to understand everyone around me better

People have vastly different experiences and I might not completely understand them, but I can still try to empathize with them

Alright, some people do cringe/crazy/very Very weird things, but I can still sort of(?) Understand and empathize?

Ah, I do not understand or agree with you, but you are happy and it literally only affects you so it doesn't matter if I think it's cringe/crazy/mildly unhinged, I don't need to understand to empathize that you are a human being having fun and being happy. Good for you.

Ah, I can be cringe/mildly unhinged too and it doesn't matter as long as it makes me happy. :)

And now for a nonspecific nonordered things I've learned but I like the bullet points Sue me (A dash (-) will signify a continuing thought from the previous point)

Do you really hate it? Is it hate or are you just having a big feeling like anger or sadness or betrayal and you mold that into hate to justify not feeling the big feeling properly?

- If it is a big feeling, what made you feel that way? Sometimes taking a deep breath and just asking yourself why you feel somehow can help to figure out how to fix it or understand it better.

- If it's not an underlying big feeling that you can identify, does whatever you hate remind you of something in the past that caused a big feeling?

- In my experience there are very few things I actually hate, and more things that I'm just frustrated I can't help or fix or negotiate. My underlying big feeling for most of my hate is helplessness.

Other people have the same mess of emotions bubbling around in them that you do in you, they get frustrated and angry and sad too

- Sometimes your feelings won't allow you to be there when someone else's feelings are out of wack and vice versa. It's ok to not be in the right state to help and it's ok if someone else isn't in the right state to help you. The world will go on, it will just be a bit more taxing.

Art isn't about the outcome, it's about making it. So make it

Don't beat yourself up if you don't have the mental/emotional/physical energy to do something. You need that time to rest, the task will still be there later. If necessary, ask for help, or even just for someone to sit in the same room.

It doesn't matter how ridiculous something feels, if it helps or if it makes you happy, it's right for you.

What's right for you might not be right for someone else and vice versa, we can give advice but it might not work for them just as others advice might not work for us and that's ok.

Wear whatever you want to and will feel comfortable and confident in. (Confidence might not come right away for many reasons, but it will come, so don't worry too much about not getting it right away)

You're gorgeous, or beautiful, or cute, or handsome, whatever your preffered word of compliment is, you are that, so it's ok to carry yourself like it.

If you feel like crap most of the time, I really hate to say this, I do, but you Need to make sure you drink enough water, eat enough food, and get enough sleep. Because Apparently *look of absolute disgust and loathing* taking care of yourself actually makes you feel better about yourself.

- Shower too, remember, when you are in the shower you will remember it is good, there is no reason to avoid the shower, it is a good place. If you can't stand to see your own body, keep the lights off, or keep just the flashlight of your phone pointed at the ceiling depending on visibility needed to function. Feeling clean Will make you feel better about yourself. And if you can't bring yourself to shower, keep some dry shampoo, anything is better than nothing.

ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING, IF YOU CANT DO SOMETHING ALL THE WAY, DOING JUST A LITTLE IS BETTER THAN NOT DOING IT AT ALL. THIS APPLIES TO ALL THINGS. Can't food? Cereal is food, consume Something. Can't sleep? Nap when possible, rest when possible. Can't chores? Do just a little, just a few, if you can't do that, don't beat yourself up, the energy to do will come eventually. Can't go Do Things outside? Sit in a chair outside for a few minutes, for half an hour, for as long as you can stand it, bring a book or your phone. Exist.

Speak nicely to yourself. Do you always speak nicely to others when they mess up but berate yourself harshly when you do? It feels hypocritical, right? Speak to yourself as if you were someone else who made the mistake, you don't have to believe it at first, but keep doing it anyway because eventually it will help. (Ex. I'm so dumb for dropping the sandwich I just made on the floor. No, it was an accident, it's ok, we still have the ingredients and can make another. It's sad that it happened, but you don't need to be mean to yourself because of it. It's ok)

There will be times when you can't find beauty where you used to. Find things you know you find beautiful and choose to actively notice them. A flower growing in a sidewalk crack, a sunset or rise lighting up the sky, a particular color you like on a label or advertisement, the grain of wood in a desk or floor. Many things are beautiful, sometimes you just need to remember to look for them.

Want to do or read or watch a thing but you think it's too weird or out of your comfort zone? Do it, you don't have to share with everyone that you're doing it, you can see if you enjoy it privately, and then later if you want let loved ones know. It might be absolutely awesome, but you'll never know if you don't try.

Rest. You don't have to be productive all the time, you are allowed to rest beyond sleep, you are allowed to partake in calm little activities that don't mean anything technically but make you happy; watch TV, read a book, read a webtoon, make a little craft or do a puzzle or color a book, stare at a wall. Make time for things that you like that are restful as well as things you like that aren't.

Alright, I really should sleep so I guess if I edit this later I'll put it after this point, but this seems like a good enough list for now. I love you and go drink some water and unclench your jaw.

toffee’s (my fresh parasite oc) power was literal emotional manipulation (e.g. if they touched you they could make you feel what they wanted, not by overwriting your current emotions BUT more just. adding them on top.) but they also had all the subtlety of a steamroller because they were barely a few months old AND could only do the most basic emotions (happiness, sadness, fear, anger)

oh toffee my toffee.. iirc if they lived long enough for personal growth theyd end up with DEBILITATINGLY low self esteem. if someone you cared about was sad and you had the ability to smother their misery out with happiness, calm them down and make it easier, wouldnt it be at least a little tempting to take it?

especially if all your life, that was your gift, your solution to every problem related to others you had, and your ticket to survival in a world that wants you dead merely for existing. you never knew anything else, how to comfort, help, how to be genuine. how to care, when being cared about, any living thing knowing the abomination that you are - it’s terrifying, it’s risky. you’re not very strong, you’re small, and you’ve never known one day of peace in your own short life. never the kind word of a parent, of a friend, of a partner. since the day of your birth, wriggling away like a leech as all your ‘siblings’ were crushed to dust behind you, the only one you’ve ever had is yourself.

and how would the other beings even react if they found out that the whole time they’d known you, any of your emotions weren’t theirs? the joy with you, sadness, fear was magically induced, and you never told them. they can’t trust any of their memories with you. it’s a defense mechanism, but you still did it. you still made the choice, over and over and over again. how could that ever be forgiven? tampering with minds leaves marks, after all.

isn’t it easier to shut down, not get attached, not let yourself care? it hurts less that way. treat them all like toys, keep yourself on top. no, better not to think about it at all. you’re just doing what you can to keep yourself alive, to see the sun crest the horizon again tomorrow. distract yourself, take advantage, manipulate, run, run, little thing, and never stop to think. or the awareness of what you are and what you’ve done will destroy you, and there’ll be nothing left.

while slushie’s (second fresh parasite oc’s) power was fast regeneration (if their host body was hurt it healed much faster than normal, usually without scars or visible cracks/fractures!) they were very clumsy and developed a very, very high pain tolerance. since unless they were wounded enough to actually lose a limb or something, which they hadn’t yet, there were no consequences besides an unpleasant yet deeply familiar sensation that faded in like, an hour maximum. in their mind that’s how it is for everyone, just a fact of life.

whatever accidents you get in, whatever happens to your host body, it doesn’t matter! you’ll be fine, without a scratch. the idea of a life where you don’t bleed magic every day and wake back up in the morning is nearly impossible to fathom. you nearly die, let yourself be torn apart willingly by those you latch onto with a smile, and get back up, again, and again, and again. you can’t trust anyone who doesn’t hurt you, it’s too unfamiliar, it doesn’t make sense, that’s what you live for. why do others look so horrified when you mention it?

that’s just the way things are, were, and always will be.

I watched a little short video about how to know whether you want to be like someone else, or be with that person, as a 🍒🍇🍓🍎🍉🍑🍉 person. “imagine you get instantly everything they have that you admire/like about them, but that person disappears completely from your life. You cant interact with them ever again. How are you feeling about it?” its not that it makes you happy that they are not part of your life, or that missing them means you are in love -what matters is, does it make you happier to have those things and traits yourself even when missing the other person?

I think its relevant for togachako -Himiko hates parts of herself and really admires Ochako… but she also cant nor wants to live in a world where she, in particular, doesnt exists. Even if that means stopping the whole plan, what looked like her road to achieve happiness. Ochako also admires Himiko, and she hates parts of herself, or at least compares herself and feels insecure very easily, and i cant help but wonder if she also prefers Himiko over the traits she envies. She was really sad and dare i say desperate to stop her, as there was a high possibility of her being hurt/die. I want to know how shes doing, where is she. I dont want to believe Ochako was happy leaving her behind just bc “she got to save her in the end”; thats not what those chapters told the audience. The story they tell is Uraraka feels pain over Toga dying and feeling hurt, it would make me sad to see her not even grieving or, even worse, completely happy bc a guy saved the say.

And really, isn’t this relevant for bkdk too? Chapter 424 gave us a good look into it from Katsuki’s perspective I think -he has shown how he can do the saving, the helping others with a smile, yet he cried over the idea of not being able to be with Izuku forever even if it was at a distance. Midoriya… I want to know what he thinks and feels. He is too cryptic aaaaghghg.

If killer and color got their happy ending and got to escape nightmare, I think killer would kill himself eventualy, specificaly i think it would be stage 1

As far as i understand wasnt it implied that killer was going to kill himself but then nightmare took him out of his au to work for him. And i dont think stage 1, in the rare ocurances that he was "awake" (idk how to say this properly ×_×) he wouldnt like being forced to kill again but now under someone elses command so maybe he will try to end himself too, but nightmare would propably cause a forcable switch to his soul so he would go back to stage 2.

Color let killer choose to go with him, so surely color wont entervine when killer decides to not exist anymore? Well i guess if killer chose to leave with color than maybe he decided that he wants to live, since working for nightmare, he would be dead anyway, either from nightmare or maybe form some other person while hes in a fight or somethingm

But as someone who relates to killer a lot.. i dont think this urges of wanting to die would go away that easily. Im sure stage 1 still thinks about it, and maybe he would feel guilty for troubling color with his problems , that he doesnt deserve to have color as a friend and hes only causing him trouble and such. Stage 1 would propably feel bad for killing people and causing pain to so many people maybe.. Im just thinking about how color crying having to let his friend go on his last walk, and killer comforting him, that this is truly what he always wanted...

If color was truly his friend he wouldnt take the freedom away from him and try to convince him not to do it right? Wouldnt killer think that color is taking that choice away from him. Or maybe it would be different with color, i dont know...

I dont know how to conclude this, I hope this makes sence... i love reading your theories and headcanons for killer and color, you made me care about him again after years of not being in the fandom^_^ i hope you have a good day

I get what you mean. And I agree that even in his Good Ending, killer will struggle in many ways. his self destructive tendencies and suicidal ideation and self harming behaviors wont just dissipate. And neither would the absolute shame in his existence, the belief he doesn’t deserve to exist.

I do believe that if color realizes that killer is dead set on killing himself, that existing just hurts him more, although it will be hard and color would exhaust every option first..I don’t believe color would ever take away killers choice. especially not when this is a choice thats been taken from him before.

..maybe they’d even attempt to do a double suicide or a suicide pact. but I think killer would want color to live, if only to keep him alive in his memory a little longer before they met again in the afterlife.

but heres the thing. killer & colors stories are one of the very few in the utmv that ends happily, on a hopeful note. And I don’t wanna take it from them when it’s something they fought so hard for.

and..well, the idea that tortured people can only find happiness and peace in death and will never ever heal..just upsets me a lot. i think killer deserves to live life, however long he has, with those who he loves and who love him back. and i want him to pass smiling and content.

he may not live to be anything close to physically elderly, but I want to believe he cherished the last few years of his life. and he was happy.

steve cant fucking believe it. you do anything and everything for jonathan, that much is obvious, and sure. steve has seen jonathan do small acts of kindness towards you, devote the same back, but to throw a jacket at you and belittle you? and now here he is, joking about it alongside you. as if it was all okay in the end.

"youre too nice sometimes, y/n." the words leave steves lips before he can stop them. once he realizes what hes said, he looks up at jonathan and panics. "sorry, man. im sure you guys talked it out and... yeah."

jonathan shrugs. "no, youre right. she is and i was dick."

"im right here, you know."

steve winces. "sorry."

"its fine, honestly." you go back to scribbling shipment orders. they try to cover for jason to each other too and its the most entertainment jason has had in a while

its funny how when dick becomes a vampire he tries to become a vampire dictator but jason usully just kills himself or gets someone to kill him in dc vs vampires, so if jason became a vampire first hed likely just go fuck this noise and die rather than do anything to take over the world

which is why tim and dick are like trying to help keep him alive searching for a cure, he only lets them "search for a cure" because he trusts the outlaws to take him out once he loses the last shred of humanity

He knows they'll do everything they can - and he knows that once they've gone through every lead and possibility and still have nothing, that it'll be easier for them to accept it's a lost cause. Will it still hurt? probably, especially after putting time and effort in it, but at least they tried

(he doesn't realise they're not going to take no for an answer. he doesn't realise that even if there isn't a cure, they won't give up on him) .

So he takes his time, makes sure that the outlaws keeps an eye out, he checks in with them on the regular so they know he's still human-ish. He'll let dick and tim hover all they want while humoring them (and himself), let them force their blood down his throat if it makes them happy and keeps him from going crazy if just a little longer, and gets everything ready for when he's gone from the alley, for when the red hood ultimately ends

So I know you stated you weren't going to share the writing for that darks verse au, but would you be willing to give a synopsis? (Perfectly fine either way, just have a special place in my heart where I cherish and LoZ darks verse style aus)

Was this more of 'they're all evil and the Links defeat them' or 'they all become some degree of friends in the end' kind of fic?

Yeah I can share a synopsis of what I had and what I planned! Part of why I dropped the project is that I hadn't decided whether to make the characters sympathetic or not, either, because they weren't meant to be, but..... I got, and am still, attached. XD I kind of want the darks to get little redemption arcs! Or at least not killed. Their version of happy endings maybe.

Anyway, of the two fics, one had Four's Shadow as immediately a good guy, and the other had his motives a little dubious at first. The following is the latter:

A portal jump dumps the entire Chain into Warriors's Hyrule, where they're ambushed by people with reddened eyes and little to no pain response. They quickly realize that these are civilians being possessed or something, and struggle in the fight to try to not hurt them. Due to portal shenanigans, Four is out of commission, and during the fight, he and Hyrule are picked up and kidnapped.

The two of them aren't given any explanations, just taken to a tunnel system and locked up in a dark cellar. They're left alone until one of the possessed civilians comes in to give them some food and water. Four gets a weird feeling about it. Then he and Hyrule officially meet the first dark: evil Hyrule, who proceeds to use weakened versions of Hyrule's spells to torment him, but doesnt touch Four.

After a while of this, one of the possessed people enters with a bit more animation than usual, and has a conversation with Four that leaves him moderately sure that Shadow is controlling these civilians somehow, and remembers him, but he isn't exactly sure that they're on the same side.

At some point, a new Dark (evil Sky) enters the picture, coming in to unlock Hyrule and take him just outside the cellar door. He heals someone out there, a little more than they wanted him to, and then Sky's dragged in. He was captured too, but on purpose, with garlic in his pocket. The Chain has been having a hard time finding out how to get into the tunnels, and this is their plan: get someone else captured and follow his scent.

Meanwhile, Shadow shows his hand and gives Four his sword back, so he splits and carries out a distraction plan as the Chain fights through monsters (Shadow is in fact controlling people but he keeps them away from the fight.) Some things go wrong, some things go right, Blue breaks his thumb to get out of shackles, Red goes tiny and drops pots on evil Sky's head, and eventually the two darks are brutally murdered and the three/six/seven heroes rescued.

Cue a bit of distrust of Shadow and the rumbling of a new plan: there are other darks out there in the dark world, waiting for their chance to come into the light and cause problems.

Dun dun dunnnnnnn

More installments would give them time to run into all the other darks, deal with some trials on Shadow's part, etc.

I have been spending some time doodling these darks and will write up a post later tonight (probably) about who they are and what decisions I made. :) I've changed some of the lore since this story, you'll probably notice it in Shadow the most.

i want to yap about Lae'zel, because she's seriously grown on me through my 500+ hours playing BG3 and i just... hsjaksh i love her so much man.

First i wanna go into her personality because man, it hurts me. She is an agressive and blunt character, violent in some scenarios and not at all afraid to use force to get what she wants. It is all too easy to call her a "mean person", to put it simply, but i also want to point something out that is also true at the same time as everything i just said:

She is never the one to start shit.

The only time she ever is rude to the other companions, is when they go at her first. Shadowheart is a prime example of this, she's constantly being snarky or even downright rude to Lae'zel, so of course Lae'zel will respond in kind. When

But compare that to her interractions with Gale for example. He's just genuinely curious about her and githyanki stuff in general, and Lae'zel is happy to share what she knows with him. She even sounds quite proud of her heritage.

I find it quite significant, and it also says a lot about her character. Its all defensive, not offensive. And when you consider how she was raised, what a dangerous and violent environment it was, it makes perfect sense.

Growing up she could've been murdered by her brothers/sisters and other such kin in her crèche at any moment, should they have deemed her weak. In order to survive, she had to learn violence as her first reaction to a threat: if she hesitated to kill her classmates, they would not. Her whole life has been built around that, so its no surprise that when she's thrown into an unfamiliar situation, in an unfamiliar environment crowded by unfamiliar people, thats the first way she will react.

I also like how much of a culture shock it seems to her being in the mountain pass crèche (i forget the name apologies), she comments on how non-violent it is and how lax the rules and security seems to be. We dont know much about her crèche aside from what she tells tav, but we can gather it was a MUCH more hostile environment than this. It makes me think, is Lae'zel's crèche the odd one out here or is the mountain pass crèche the strange one? Is overwhelming violence the norm for a githyanki crèche or is that something that was unique to her's.

But she's not needlessly cruel, oh no. I want to point out another moment between her and Shadowheart as an example: when Shadowheart is trapped on the nautiloid. She says in that moment, "It cannot be helped." Lae'zel isnt trying to get Tav to leave Shart because she wants Shart to die, or because she doesnt care what happens to Shart. She's trying to get Tav to leave, because she knows that they cant waste precious time faffing around trying to get the pod unlocked. She's putting her and Tav's survival first before someone who is trapped and helpless.

Also the way she tries to get everyone - not just herself and Tav, all the companions - to the mountain pass crèche to try and purify them and get rid of the tadpoles. She easily could just go off on her own, without having to worry about everyone else - she does actually if you choose to leave her at the start of the game - but she doesn't.

The tadpoles must also be scaring the shit out of her, way more than she ever lets on. Acting scared is weakness after all, its useless - she says as much if Tav reacts that way to her describing ceremorphosis - and it makes you vulnerable, which makes you weak which makes you a bigger target for your enemies. In her mind at least.

The moment when she tries to kill Tav is a brief moment when that mask of toughness slips, and her true fears peek through. She wasn't waiting for a perfect moment to strike since she met Tav and the others, she was acting out of fear and maybe instinct to stop their transformations before the worst of it happened, a mercy kill if you will. The fact that you can convince her not to do it is also proof that it wasnt pre-meditated, it was a reaction to her fears.

I also wanna talk about the way she speaks to Tav over time. She starts out snappy and rude, with a harsh tone but as she gets to know them more, and as her approval of them increases too, her tone grows noticably softer and she even begins to greet them normally instead of just saying "Speak." You dont even have to romance her for that.

On the topic of her romance, i just... the scene where she asks to cuddle Tav makes my heart feel so full. Lae'zel, the violent and bloodthirsty githyanki, is letting herself be vulnerable for likely the first time in her life, to ask for cuddles.

Her character like i said just.... hshdhsjskhwdhakaidj. Her progression from this rude and mean person to someone you realize is just trying to keep everyone safe through the methods she knows. I love that funky little green alien woman so much.

Serbia: This hurt him the most, from the socialist utopia he was always dreaming of and all the respect other powerfull countries gave him to it all being crumbled in pieces in a bit more then a decade definitly left a big toll on his mental health. So much he still didnt recover, and neither did most of his people. He wasnt this bad since the ottoman empire first occupied him, phisically he wasnt much better either. He really reminds me of Ivan here, they both still blame themselves for not being able to optain something that was destined to fail. After NATO bombing was the first time he actually realised it was really over. Trying to combine the uncombinable and causing everyone pain that couldev been avoided is something he is yet to see

Slovenia: He was happy to be out. Not to much demage that was fixed quickly and not living with Vuk anymore must have felt great. He still doesnt want to be associated with his neighbours claiming he isint balkan and even dying his hair blond so he doesnt look like them says everything.

Croatia: I think he is jealous of Slovenia for being able to leave{and recover} much sooner then him altho they both proclaimed their independance in the same time. Unlike his neighbour, parts of his country were still under serbias rule, leading to "operacija oluja"("operation storm") and many lives lost. His realationship with Vuk was never good, tho now it was just decpise between them. I honostly hate when people ship them for this, sure they might fuck every other day, but if they say no homo after it doesnt count, right?

Bosnia(and Herz): Leaving Yugoslavia to be a bit smaller less economically stable Yugoslavia on its own never made sence to me. How tf did they let Srpska, Herzegovina, Bosnia, Brčko and Grmeč live togheter i have no fucking clue. How is Bosnia even alive still doesnt make sence to me. He wasnt scared mentaly as much he was phisically, poor Herz for having to take care of him later lol, tho she suffered equally as much

Montenegro: I would like to joke and say he slept threw all of this but he thought as much as everyone else. Unlike them he left in 2006, but the 90's left the same amount of pain on him just like any other nation. He really loved Vuk and most of montenegros people still identify as serbs, he just couldnt take the constent fights anymore. I think proving Vuk he can live on his own only to realise he was still in a 100+ yr old war with Japan and remind himself why he joined Serbia in the first place left kind of a bitter taste in his mouth

Macedonia: She left peacefully while everyone else was fighting and too bussy to care she was leaving. She was happy she didnt need to clean up after everyone anymore but when she saw how living alone was like she went on to date Vuk to get financial support. Not that much harm was done to her, she just went on with her life like normal

Srpska: Deffended his daddy all the way hoping he was gonna be proud of him and still live with him. And he was proud, tho after the Dayton agreement he felt as if he did everything for nothing. Still protest tho and probably plays every other song from Baja to bosnia dayly in hope of being so annoying he will kick him out and he can go back to Vuk. Poor kid, he deserves better. I cant even emagine how he felt. I could write a hole book on him alone

i dont think hes using them the way that like other people do, ya know the "theres no love there, he doesnt care" cuz with hangman. everthing he does is BECAUSE he cares, he cares about everyone else apart from himself, and hes been becoming the very thing he swore not to become all those years ago since his death match with mox

I think he's kinda using them as a form of protection, theyve always been his home even when he wasnt a part of the elite, theyve always thought about one another and hanger seems to constantly be thinking about them- the turned around picture in the bte episode old dirty photograph and "theres a lot I need to say to them...him", the weird obessiveness over kenny to the bucks when him and kenny were a tag team, less in a "if i cant have kenny, nobody can" way but in a "if kenny sees that im not good enough, hell leave me and so will them." also Matt is always the one to be the one to poke and yank at the wounds theyve left on Hanger, those cuts the the elite have given him. "do you remember ME? do you remember US?" Matt always seeing himself at the like, most important in hangers eyes. Fuck, the bucks are the reason why hanger was chosen for the bullet club and then WHY he is in aew- THEY CHOSE HIM. and even if hes not purposely or logically thinking about that, he KNOWS that. Hangman isnt stupid, hell he was with the bucks when the break in happened, its very to get deep into hangmans brain, to lodge yourself in their you hurt his family. Much like with matt, if you want to like, become a thorn under his skin,a knife that matt just cant reach, you use and hurt nick. If you want to get into their brains you hurt their family.

The bucks are still hangmans family, and theyre not good people but theyre not bad people either. at least not in the simpliest definition. theyre complicated and its hard to explain while im currently sweating my tits off, but hanger isnt like "abusing the bucks trust" he is just as scared as they are, just as nervous that he is regressing, hes drinking again and self isolating exactly what we saw in 2021 and thats what FTR prayed upon and the bucks saw that and were direct vicitims of Hangman being mentally abused so in theri minds theyre trying to someone...make it better, prevent the same thing form happening despite them knowing that its a hopeless endever. Theyre never ending pushing a bolder up a hill, theyre getting their livers pecked out by birds but none of that matters, if that makes hangman happy. if that means that he, even if its just subconsiously, he knows that theyre the place he can run too

Ship captain! has the most experience of the whole crew (they've been here way longer than anyone else. longer than anyone could survive this job)

Maybe a little too happy about the job. takes it very seriously

Prefers to go alone hates taking equipment bc it takes up space they could use for something else

prides itself on efficiency . has everything down to a system

looks scary but they're actually pretty nice and soft (both figuratively and literally)

pretty secretive, mostly lying through omission . doesn't like to talk about themself

doesnt like to be seen without the suit and helmet on. it has to happen eventually but it hates it, raises too many questions. it can try to look more human but its not perfect.

has a tier list in its head of every single piece of scrap for deciding priority of what to take back to the ship. it has a second tier list for if it gets hungry

huge soft spot for cute things. likes rubber ducks and plushies and things like that . will make exceptions in it's efficiency and priorities to take them even if they're low worth

Feels like they need to be doing something with their hands constantly

really likes Zachary, they're very close. doesn't want anything to happen to it... will agree to go together with Zachary despite usually preferring to go alone

likes Elliot, she's alright, she works hard. thinks she's a bit too reckless and hard on herself

alright with Morgan. they don't entirely get along but it's not too bad so it's alright . he notices the weird looks Morgan gives him, no clue what that's about.

Zachary :

got "hired" by The Company. it doesn't like this. but it doesn't have a choice

TERRIFIED of The Company building. absolutely refuses to leave the ship there. Fifty let's this slide, it doesn't mind having to carry some extra scrap to the desk

absolutely refuses to wear the helmets, its uncomfortable and its worried it'll get scratched or something . its fine without it,if that was going to hurt them it would've a long time ago

needs to go with someone in the facilities, becomes very distressed if alone for too long

it'll take equipment if asked, but it often forgets to use things like walkie talkies. it also struggles using it (it has a hard time with the buttons and small things like keys are really hard for it to hold)

hates this job and wants to leave but its scared of what would happen

very touch starved and having no other maskeds around has been effecting it.. (if it does see other maskeds on the moons it'll follow them around instead of its crew)

it wants to be closer with the others, at least El and Morgan are cautious around it. they dont really trust it much

El trusts it more at least, if 56 cant go with it it'll usually goes with her instead (also because Morgan usually stays in the ship but if they do go in still Zachary will more likely go with Elliot)

Fifty-Six on the other hand, Zachary REALLY likes him. he doesn't mind it being around and hes nice to it

Zachary is like the first of the crew to have seen 56 without his helmet after it found him with it like completely torn apart. it was really worried about him, scared it got hurt. 56 was alright though dont worry

mostly goes by El instead of Elliot

youngest of the crew, not much experience but good with a shovel

pretty confident going in the facility, will often lead or even go alone. but absolutely CANNOT deal with coil-heads or nutcrackers. all that confidence goes away when they have to

he has automatonophobia and scopophobia. terrible combination to have here if im being honest

helmet is slightly dented after she tried running from a thumper and slammed into a metal pipe (did get away from it, shes still alive obviously . but that did hurt)

his nose was like broken before, never healed the same so its kinda crooked (this was before being at The Company, probably from getting in a fight as a teenager)

he tends to be kind of hard on himself, very apologetic when he makes any sort of mistakes.

his hair feels like shit. its been like bleached to hell so its all brittle and shit

none of the crew have anything against El but they did agree that if anything happens shes dies first (they have not agreed on what "anything happens" or "dies" entails though)

respects 56 a lot, almost exclusively refers to it as 'captain' . nobody else really cares about that, its just El who does that

trusts Zachary more than Morgan does, still cautious because she knows what it can do but believes it that its not going to do that

El and Morgan are rlly cool with each other. she likes to listen to them talk about whatever, they know a lot about stuff and El thinks thats cool

only one on the ship who actually has first aid training. usually is the one to have to deal with that. only ever seen Elliot and Zachary get hurt though, Fifty-Six is somehow always fine

very suspicious of Fifty-Six, knows something's up with him but doesn't say anything because they don't wanna start shit with whatever kind of alien beast it is

cautious as hell around Zachary, doesn't like to be alone with it. they've seen what maskeds do to people and they don't like it.

but they've never actually interacted with a masked for so long so it's.. an interesting experience at least. there's not much documented about them so this is the most they've gotten to know about maskeds

Elliot and Morgan are chill, Morgan will often talk to her about different things. she's a good listener.

Very patient with you and honestly would probably not care unless something is timed funny / a silly response. I personally wouldn't be offended and would probably laugh at myself too. Like something happens - maybe he made a comment about something like the price of a ketchup bottle and you reply with a tic like "yippee" and you both end up snorting. Maybe it even becomes an inside joke. "How cheap is it?" / "dont worry its yippee certified."

Wouldn't ever antagonize your tics. He may joke (after a convo about boundaries and if youre genuinely okay with jokes) but he doesnt echo you / encourage you to tic for humors sake or anything else.

He doesn't personally understand tics and how it feels to do it but he understands pain and would 100% be there to help you out when / if you have painful tics. If you allow it he'll get you soothing items and distract you if it will help. Just let him know and he's got you.

If you develop a tic related to him he'll lowkey find it endearing. Like he isn't sure if its because you like him or if it's just a coincidence but he smiles a bit wider when you do it. (Stars help him if you develop a pun related tic like repeating his or saying one)

I usually have happy tics (probs something tied to stimming but it feels like a tic.) So i can imagine if you tell him the related tic is because youre happy he would melt on the inside. Especially when he realizes you echo him because you think hes funny. He has buried his face in a pillow to hide his blush after you leave. Papyrus has teased him for this.

Has on occasion made people uncomfortable for antagonizing you. Like glaring or making pointed jokes to rude people. He'll try to call them out first just in case they don't realize they're being harmful but if they don't care then He'll make them.

Literally as simple as that. He doesn't draw anymore attention to it or really notice it unless you bring it up. Like he just writes it off as a thing that happens and adjusts quick.

If you're okay with it he'll inform people you have it when they get confused. He figures it must be tiring constantly explaining yourself, but worry not! He loves sharing information and explaining things! Especially when its helpful! Not to mention when the topic can educate others on how to be more respectful and informed on others disabilities. So he sees it as an all around good thing and wouldnt be bothered at all to help. (Also he isnt going to just announce this about you, only saying things in convo if ppl ask)

Also, even if you prefer he not say anything, he will educate himself on the subject so he can be a better help and have a better understanding just in case the subject ever comes up later or he meets someone else with tics. It also doesn't hurt to be aware and conscious of these types of things!

I feel like he's respectful enough to let you finish your sentences but if you struggle really hard he might try to help. He'd gently ask a question about what youre trying to say and suggest words to help. He wont do it again if you ask him to stop - hes not doing it maliciously after all. He just doesn't want you to feel frustrated with yourself.

Is a tiny bit (actually very much) hyped when you echo him or have a tic related to him. He asks if its a good thing (like not a stress tic or smth) and if you say yes then he kinda taps his feet / jogs in place and squeals like an exited fan. Says soemthing along the lines of "I AM HONORED TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING YOU DO TO EXPRESS POSITIVE EMOTIONS!"

Awe and if you copy his laugh? Like echoing it when you're happy or smth he is beaming with pride like he's the sun itself. Because!! His laugh!!! It makes you happy and you want to do it with him!!! Kcjdjsns

Actually surprisingly (or not so surprisingly) helpful with painful tics and tic attacks. He is very good at getting you what you need to soothe you / make things less painful and stressful.

Would lecture someone for antagonizing you.

Red

Unusually patient with you finishing sentences and stuff. He kinda just sees any stutters or interruptions as part of the sentence. Like if someone were to get sidetracked or mutter something - he sees it like that. Sometimes he gets frustrated if you struggle to say something for a bit but its not at you. Its at the fact that he isn't getting what you mean when you try to explain without the troublesome word or if you continue to try to say it and it doesn't click in his head.

His immediate reaction is to side eye you but he doesn't make a big deal out of it. He'll probably comment on it like "you gettin' possessed?" But after you explain hes like "oh." And backs off. Might make some jokes before even processing that it could be offensive. Like not jokes about you being broken or negative stuff (hes trying not to be so rough around the edges lol) but just puns about the tics and jokes about glitches or something.

Probably would be the most ... "normal" about it. Wouldn't really ignore them or treat it like its a sensitive topic. Will point out when its funny (in a non harmful way), asks about them sometimes, and makes small comments here and there. For example if you make a weird gesture he'll tease you about it saying stuff like "castin' spells?" Or "I agree" to something you said that makes no sense.

Never thinks to antagonize your tics. Like yeah, he jokes, but he just doesnt think about it or think to avoid it. He just doesnt.

Gives mean looks and snaps at people who do it. He'll be nonchalant about it at first like "hey man, fuck off with that." But if they keep on he'll get more aggressive.

Kinda awkward with the painful ones at first. He thinks you probably just want to get through it and move on because pain isn't something normally expressed for him so he kinda just subtly goes easy on you without really drawing attention to it. If you express it more openly and/or he gets more comfortable he will try to help you out. A little impatient but tries his best to be polite. He understand its not your fault, and he doesnt blame you for any irritation he has, he just gets antsy when things arent efficient. (Hes working on it.) At least he doesnt rush you or anything... yay?

Other than that he has a "i don't care" attitude about it. Yes yes, its a part of you, so what? He doesn't mean anything by it, he just doesn't see it as something worth acknowledging, really. It's like noticing someone has curly hair. Its there, it might be something worth noting at first, but then you just forget about it until its relevant.

Doesnt care if something is funnily timed either. You can have fun with it but he isnt bothered. But if you have a response to something he says, tic or otherwise, he instinctively takes it as a genuine response lmao.

when everyone's asleep, it doesn't matter who woke who up in the middle of the night for no reason. they open their door and offer whoever a chance to rest with some company, whether it be to talk, or just sit

if someone had a bad dream, they go to someone else. no one bats an eye at it when they leave in the morning. they just nod and offer that small portion of comfort

when someone had a bad day, their closest friends will be seen leaving their room in the morning

it doesn't matter what happened during the day. what insults were thrown, or how bad they hurt them. if someone wanted comfort, they go and sleep with them, because they know they will have comfort

the mercs care for each other. they love each other. letting someone sleep with them in bed (or on the couch) is one of the many ways how they show and prove it

theyre literally in the buttfuck nowhere of the desert. theres no other human beings in the middle of the desert, asides from the people of teufort (hates them, tried to public execution them, lead poisoned) and the other team (other color bad boooooo) so they only people they can go to for comfort is the other mercs on their team.

humans are social creatures, and they (i mean, we) need to be around other humans to stay sane.

spy sometimes will sneak around in the dead of night, to make sure the other mercs are ok bc of paranoia from whatever he was before teufort

even tho sniper likes to sleep in his own campervan away from the base, sometimes he can be seen making breakfast at like 5 in the morning, and leaves before anyone else wakes up. he acts like he doesnt know how the food got there, but theres always CCTV footage

sometimes, scout pyro demo and engie likes to have sleepovers in the common room because its easier to sleep with other people that day. theyre usually very quiet about it, and for the most part just spend the time watching movies until they fall asleep in a giant pile

no one ever goes to sleep in soldiers room (because raccoons), but more than once someone has probably dragged soldier to their room because i think hed be like a warm body pillow you can koala hug.

medic is not above letting someone cuddle his doves if they need it (because soldiers raccoons cant be liscense to be comfort animals for anyone except soldier). he always acts grumpy when his birds are held too long but he doesnt actually mind.

heavy is the best person on base to sleep with (literal), because hes big and warm like an oven. if someone asked, hed probably be more than happy to read them a story to help them fall asleep.

ok so this kinda took me by surprise bc it would normally be my f/o, but with giyuu i think ione actually gets jealous more often!! he is her most special little guy that she loves with her whole heart and the idea of a pretty civilian flirting with him gives her ANXIETY. she already has crazy inferiority issues and that does NOT get better after the series ends. please do not leave me for someone else baby girl. also! giyuu doesn't really get jealous, he just gets sad and clingy. he also has inferiority issues, but they more so feed into depression rather than anxiety.

🍝 — do you two share your foods with each other? have you tried feeding them yourself?

ione cooks all the time and loves sharing with giyuu!!! she particularly loves making sweets for them to try, but getting to make dinner for him makes her feel like a little housewife (which is nice after being in the corps for seven-ish years.) and, for as long as she's known him, she makes his favorite food on his birthday!! (she also tries to feed him whenever she's drunk, but not really intentionally. she just really wants him to taste whatever yummy food she has and doesnt want to wait for him to take it from her. instant delivery of ohagi to ur mouth.) giyuu tries his best to buy her snacks here and there as a thank you for being nice to him, but doesn't cook much as a hashira. he is an expert at cooking noodles once they're married, though !

🩹 — if you or your f/o got hurts, how would the other react?

okay well. ill start by saying that ione wasnt very happy when she learned that giyuu vowed to commit seppuku if nezuko hurt a human. she absolutely adores giyuu even before the end of the series and wants to keep him safe forever!! although the others think he's just trying to look cool, ione can tell he's just insecure, and does NOT like the idea of him just throwing his life away. she also wouldve been by his side 100% after the final battle, but she was in a six week coma. instead, giyuu came to visit her every evening to sit and wait for her to wake up :( with any other injury, he knows she'll probably be okay, but he gets a little paranoid here and there; especially if she was pregnant or already sick.

💍— what is their view on marriage?

i think its just expected of them in their society yknow. they 100% wouldnt have gotten married while they were active demon slayers though. ione would NOT have been able him dying or anything; the anxiety alone would be enough to crush her. afterwards though, i think they'd get married pretty quickly! their relationship was a long thing coming and they also only have like. 3 or 4 years to live. they gotta make the most of it.
