i think the main difference between izuku and ochako when it comes to their villains is the fact that izuku's focus is to SAVE shigaraki, while ochako willingly wants to REACH OUT AND ACTIVELY UNDERSTAND himiko.

izuku doesnt really bother to understand shigaraki as he is only fuelled by the desire to save the inner child in him, but ochako? ochako willingly says that she wants to touch the sadness in toga, to understand her view of the world and understand what made her become like this, she is so willing to do this that she even proposes giving her a lifetime's worth of blood?

That would literally sound like a proposal of marriage to himiko.

I feel like Horikoshi’s favorite ships are Bakudeku and Togachako. He gave both of those ships so much chemistry and development throughout the manga and there were many scenes where both pairings paralleled each other

tgck au in which Himiko is a normal high school girl (she is pretty much the same, shes not a villain tho + her big bro is Jin) who despises heroes until one day an accident happens in her school and UA students come to save the day! Since then she became Uravitys biggest fan-

Before the final war Ochako says Izuku and her are weird, after he explains he also wants to try to get to a crying child inside a villain, in the cliff. They were standing far apart, both looking at the city, destroyed; before that she was alone, focusing on the hurt villains caused to forget about Himiko's smile and sadness. Now Ochako is alone at the same cliff looking at the city, things should get better but she cant be happy. Himiko is nowhere to be found and she cant ignore it; the city is getting reconstructed, she is helping with it, however when he looks at it she cant find happiness in that future. Izuku calls for her while she is holding her stomach and crying, far apart behind her.

That cliff is more Ochako's and Himiko's than Izuku's.
