That depression tips post is bullshit. That's stuff that helps if you feel sad, not for when you have clinical depresssion.
If you can't/don't have an Rx and you have depression take St. John's Wort.
It's so effective you can't actually take it while on an SSRI because it will give you serotonin syndrome, which is deadly btw, so don't take it if you're on any medication without talking to your doctor first.
(This is not medical advice. Don't sue me bro.)

Tips for all of my alternative & Chronically ill/ disabled friends!
A big thing that's helped me feel more comfortable accommodating my disability is finding accessibility tools that reflect my personality / interests.
I should put a disclaimer that making disability "aesthetic" should not be the most important thing about your health! I do this where I can to help me accept my disability.
Here are some alt accessibility tools I've found / made & utilized for myself!
1. If you're prone to nausea:
Anti-nausea meds work, but I also find that peppermints work just as well! I always have mints on me. At home, I've stored them in this coffin container!
I do keep a few of these mints in my bag, as well as ginger hard candies (they taste very strong, but are VERY efficient). I got the peppermints at Dollar tree, and they've genuinely been a life saver.
Alternatively, I've found this adorable ouija board altoids container that has mints in it!
The mints are even fun-shaped! I also saw other horror-movie themed altoid containers in-store as well. Since they're tiny, they dont work well for severe nausea, but they are still helpful!
2. If you struggle with temperature-regulation:
For me, my hands and feet are always FREEZING, but my core will be super warm. What has helped me a lot has been gloves and fuzzy socks!
I have a lot of spooky gloves like this, but I prefer the fingerless ones because I can still use my phone and be warm at the same time! I've also heard my friends who are wheelchair users say gloves can help protect your hands if you use a manual wheelchair. Another added bonus is that certain gloves can help limit mobility for those of you who struggle with hypermobility in your hands.
3. Do you have noise-canceling headphones? Decorate them!
I decorated my N/C headphones in shark stickers because sharks are my special interest!
These are Soundcore Life Q30's. I have gotten compliments on the stickers many times! You could put halloween stickers on yours or decorate your headphones in other ways! I've seen people crochet horns onto the headband portion of their headphones.
4. I would recommend any chronically ill person carry a cup around to stay hydrated:
ESPECIALLY If you need electrolytes. You can either have a drink like propel or powerade in your cup (or any drink of your choice, and you could put electrolyte packets in there).
This specific cup isn't the best at keeping my drink cold, but it holds a decent amount of liquid! And it's spooky. If you're someone who struggles to drink enough water, I've found that getting a fun cup helps me a lot!
5. Make communication bracelets!
If I'm having a difficult time voicing my needs, or I'm in a verbal shutdown, these bracelets can come in handy for me.
I'll either wear them on my wrist when needed or present them to my friends so they can read the bracelet and understand what I need. I keep them on a keychain that way I dont lose them and can transport them easily. An example of some of the phrases I've turned into bracelets is; "No spoons," "spoon debt," "verbal shutdown," and "flashbacks," (for when I'm having a PTSD episode.) You could make a bracelet with the medical condition you have as a DIY medical-alert bracelet. I added tiny spoon charms to some of my bracelets because I thought it was funny.
5. Mobility aids!
Decorate your mobility aids with things like stickers, kandi, lights, etc! Pinterest, instagram, and tiktok have a lot of good ideas. You can easily customize your mobility aids to look spooky or look however you want them to!
6. Bags!
I know that for me, I NEED to carry a bag around whenever I go out because it has important medical items that I need, but it also keeps all my important items like keys, id, ect, in one spot so that I dont forget / lose them. SOME spooky bags are expensive, but you could find a plain black bag at a thrift store or walmart and accessorize it with patches, keychains, and pins! I've seen people paint designs onto their bags before as well.
• You dont have to spend a lot of money on your accessibility tools!
Find ways to DIY them, or get them secondhand! You could even try working with household items you already have! A lot of these items, or items very similar to it, can be found at the dollar tree - even the materials needed to make the beaded bracelets! (Outside of the spoon charms)
Thats all!
If I think of more, you'll see me again! Be spooky, and be kind to yourself!

Heya^^ could we get some romantic headcanons about kaiser, shidou and isagi having a artist/painter prodigy s/o?
Of course you can exclude anyone if it's too much! Anyways I hope you'll have a wonderful day or night and don't forget to hydrate^^
Notes: Hellooo! First request, I'm so happy oh my gosh. I had some trouble so I'll do the rest in separate parts, hope you don't mind!! 41°C here it's so hot omg. You stay safe and hydrated too!! Also sorry it's messy, I'm still trying to improve and I hope you'll like this! 😭
Pairing: Isagi Yoichi x Reader
Type: Headcanons
Genre: Fluff, Romance
Isagi Yoichi with an Art Prodigy S/O ♡︎
He leaves you for the damn ball.
JOKE.. I'M JOKING GUYS..
Would be the most understanding and considerate among the three. I'm not sure if Yoichi will actually understand, but he's still super supportive and would listen to you and assist you when you need any help or company.
Dates with him are so cozy and peaceful.
He'd stay in an art studio or any room at all and sketch and paint with you all day long.
I think he'd be the type to try and draw you flowers or try to make you (+ him TOGETHER!!)
He'd be over the moon if you agreed to craft anything matching him. Something simple like paper rings, matching pins or brooches, and drawings of each other!!
Would put a drawing you made or a printed pic of you in his clear case.
His phone would be you-themed. Just you, him and your work.
Bonus: If you met as schoolmates or before Blue Lock, he'd try to make small silly doodles for you in class, and if you handed him any doodles, he'd sometimes cut them and place them in his ID case or hang them in his locker and use some of them as bookmarks.
Takes you shopping (would definitely randomly buy Art supplies that caught his eye and give them to you) or anywhere at all!!
His favourite place to stay would probably be in a café or restaurant that isn't too fancy, just somewhere with cute, homey vibes and a picturesque view.
He's TRYING to keep up with you when you invite him to paint together.. (Keyword: He's trying his best.) It definitely isn't the best thing out there but A for effort.
Tbh he always improves so quickly it's scary and makes you envious and proud sometimes..
If it bothers you and he notices, he'd act more clueless on purpose and would let you just guide him??
HAS A SEPARATE SKETCH BOOK WHERE HE KEEPS HIS DRAWINGS OF YOU!!
Made a little scrapbook dedicated to the 2 of u <3
He really REAAALLY admires you and your work.
In his eyes, you and your work are the best there are aside from soccer and being the best striker there is. He could stare at your papers and canvases hung up or scattered all day, admiring each stroke and line, even the finest ones, and looking at each shaded and highlighted area in awe.
His deep blue eyes shine so brightly when they meet your paintings and illustrations, yet no other sea of stars could replicate the shine seen in his gaze when completely in awe. In awe of you.
When you're experiencing any artblocks or frustrations regarding it, he'd be your number one helper.
If it's a better environment and inspiration you need, he'd immediately try to take you places and show you works that you've made before for more inspo. Would try taking you to a soccer field or any open area outdoors too.
Barely knows what he's doing but he's got the spirit guys!!
During hard times, he'd be the first to go by your side and help you.
Would try to be the one to pull you out when all the stress and expectations swallow you whole (Again he's TRYING but all his attempts are most likely clumsy and slightly flawed..)

— Girlyy i heard that st4r^¡ng yourself can slow your metabolism (and when you eat the food turns to fat very quickly) sooo how exactly does it work. I’ve had @n@ for 2 years btw and i still question how tf does the body works sometimes…
— Btw how do yall fast? Cuz I js drink 8 of glasses water, I literally raw dog this d¡$0rd3r. I can’t standdd no sugar sodas they taste awful and are even worse than sugar sodas, no gums cuz the sugar in the gums can raise my glucose levels that leads to f@t, no fruit snacks cuz once i start to eat i can’t stop and start binging cuz my logic is, “as long as it’s healthy nothings wrong” but that clearly isn’t true cuz i tend to overdo it, no w33d, no cr@<k, no v@pe. Nothing.
— Anyways I managed to put on a tiny bit weight and i have 3 weeks to drop it ALL off, so we (me) gonna st4rv3 or water fast for the first 2 and do the ‘IU diet’ for the last week🩷
aaahh!! omg yes st@rv!ng can totally slow ur metabolism, but dont worry!! a great way to help with that is to very slowly decrease your c@lor!e limit + sometimes people like to set aside one day a week, sometimes every other week or twice a week (wtv u pref!), and do a metab0lism day, which is where you eat a significantly higher or lower amount of c@lories to “confuse” your body and potentially boost your metab0lism. Id also recommend fasting intermittently rather than for super long periods of time to keep your body from going into “survival mode” and slowing your metab0lism down a ton! basically keep those c@lor!es fluctuating and it should help!
alsoo working out and moving around a lot to burn c@ls and build up some muscle can help too! (but if that isnt your bag, go on walks! i hatee working out so i walk all the time)
also dude we r such twins omg ive had 4n4 for 2 years too! (i gave up for a while which is why it looks like i havent made much progress ;p )
and ohmygosh u will not believee how long it took me to figure out fasting- i swear for the longest time i couldnt go half a day without b!ng!ng like crazy!! and i totallyy feel u with the zero c@l sodas, they really arent the best . :( they taste almost bitter to me sometimes??
anyway, i usually start a fast before bed or in the middle of the night, just so in the morning it looks like ive already made progress and have less desire to quit so easily! and i know everyone says this and its super annoying to hear all the time but seriously, STAY HYDRATED!! if youre like me, water does not get rid of your desire to eat like everyone says :(( but when you arent eating, you dont get the extra h2o in your food which can dehydrate you without you even realizing!
for some reason gum just makes me more hungry?? so i avoid gum too, plus i dont have even super low c@l stuff during a fast because that makes me crave more!! i always have to remind myself that i am allowed to say no to food! when i am offered food i always tell myself to say no initially, just to make a habit out of it, even if i end up eating something later. starting with smaller fasting times and working your way up is something i did in the beginning, and it kind of worked! then i rewarded myself with something after, but i stopped craving things by then because i felt so accomplished!
i started with 10-13, then 15-16, and then 18-20, until 24+ and just kept trying! i wouldnt get angry if i broke the fast early, i would just wait a few hours and try again until it was practically a habit! i know sometimes it feels unachievable but it really does happen! i know i felt like i was missing something because i kept failing, but once i was able to get past 30 hours without feeling anything, it was like breathing!
if you want some more tips on fasting ill list them below, but i feel bad making you read so much! so, if you think you’ve already read enough of my yapping you can just end here, lol!!
-june ;]
more fasting tips below the cut 👇(its a lot 😥😥)
(sorry if i didnt make a ton of sense lolz xp)
-Break a fast by eating raw fruits and veggies the first five-seven days after your fast. Go back to solids slowly.
-Do not b!nge or overeat after the fast (or during!). Try to discover the amount of food your body really needs.
-Meditate, go for a walk, take lots of naps, journal, listen to music, take long, warm bathes and relax. This is your time for healing, losing weight and gaining self-control!
-Try to get plenty of sleep. And if you can't stand your stomach growling the first few days, and are tired of downing the h2o, take a nap... listen to some soothing music and drift off.
-Get a massage. If you can afford it, or have your partner or a close friend give you a good rub down or deep tissue massage. This really soothes muscles and makes you calm and sleepy. It helps when you're having trouble sleeping due to hunger during your fast. Plus, it awakens your body, pushes the blood around, etc.
-You may feel weak during your fast so if this is the case, be careful of black outs and don't exercise until you've finished the fast... Stick to stretching, light walking and deep breathing.
-If you suffer from diabetes, hypoglycemia or other similar conditions, please be very, very careful fasting. I'd say don't fast at all but if you feel you can do it safely, you may need a slice of avocado or a banana... You could also add protein powder to your juices.
-Sometimes during a fast, the person will experience back pain. If so, a cold pack will help.
-If you are just too tired on your water fast, go to a juice fast and if you are already juicing, drink more carrot and melon juices for energy.
-Water fasts are always the hardest but fastest for weight loss and detox.
-Juice fast is next best and somewhat easier, especially for first time fasters.
-You'll lose pounds faster if you have a fast metabolism and slower if you have a slower metabolism. On average, fasts allow you to lose 1-2 lbs per day. Some experience more around 3-5 lbs per day. You'll lose the most and the quickest during the beginning of your fast.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!
Pleasee be safe and research more on your own if you plan on doing suuper long fasts, i am not a health specialist or anything like that, so if you have any kind of advice or anything i missed, please correct me so i dont give anyone false information! everyone is different and its important to know your body, i want everyone to be able to achieve their goals in the safest way possible, even if your goal isnt a healthy weight, i want u to be okay :))
lots of love!!!

Some replies! About a certain fox’s career and about bottoms potentially spoiling their tops…
Anonymous asked:
So I’ve seen around Leona x Idia and politely ask you for some (and please don’t make the wholesome) headcannons if your able to
Anon! Unfortunately, I’ll have to politely refuse because we don’t really ship Leona and Idia :(
Anonymous asked:
Honest John should make an Onlyfans. How do you think he would do with that?
Anon’s out there using his legal name 😭 Jk this one also isn’t his legal name…
I think he has a lot of potential! There would be a learning curve because he properly doesn’t know how to use technology super well, but he knows how porn and pinups work, so… Even though his taste is a bit old-fashioned… I think that would make him fit into a very specific niche 🤔
And if it works, that would make him euphoric – imagine earning money like that without really risking it?? People who have money to spend really are naïve saps! He would laugh at them as if he is not genuinely enjoying himself for the first time in forever lol
Realistically, his biggest issue is that he absolutely doesn’t have a credit card to receive payments, and he doesn’t have a proper ID, but with the right kinds of friends that’s probably easy to fix!
Anonymous asked:
bless you for the rookvil love the art its so wonderful!! <3 and the rookvil girlies on your priv X aaa <3333 Rook in lingerie is such a treat!! i remember you said she doesn't like to be touched and i was wondering if there's a specific reason you say why? is it just rook girlie or all the top girlies? omg do any of the bottoms return the pleasure for their tops or spoil them back? ok ill stop buT I DO LOVE THE ART MUAH love it. ty for the food! <3
Anonymous asked:
wait do the boys also spoil their tops... oKA y im done im donne lmao im sorry ! stay hydrated have a wonderful day/night
Thank you, Anon! <3 I’m happy you love them, both the ones we posted a couple of days ago and the girlies! Rook in lingerie is indeed a treat and a special rare occasion for Vil only…
As for Rook not liking to be touched, (ignoring my bias that I’m going to address in a minute) it’s more of a Rook thing: she prefers to do “the hunting” and pinning someone down completely is like her instinct. If asked though, she would just say that it would get her too aroused and her heart wouldn’t be able to handle it. Maybe there is some truth to that statement, but… Vil is absolutely allowed to touch her much more than anyone else would, and she mostly does it when she wants to see Rook worked up and agitated. Vil says that it’s like teasing a feral dog that likes the pets but also doesn’t.
As for the rest of the ladies, I kind of talked about this here in the last reply. We are biased towards bottom!girlies receiving all the attention, and this for sure affects how we see top!girlies’ preferences lol But I think not all of them are as much of touch-me-nots as Rook: Rook isn’t even the worst one out of them. Azul is one of the biggest ones; she hates being touched unless she is the one demanding that, and sometimes it gets ridiculous with her. But Ace, Jack or Kalim are not as bad, and Floyd flip-flops as usual. But none of them would let the bottom!girls take the lead completely.
So yeah, while technically all the bottom!girlies could still pleasure their tops, this just isn’t the dynamic we usually gravitate towards, like I explained in the linked post. It all depends on context, I guess. I think they would do a different kind of spoiling, like teasing, dressing up a certain way, allowing something that wasn’t previously allowed, all that stuff.
With the boys it’s easier though! I can see pretty much all of the bottoms being willing to give their tops a blowjob or a handjob depending on a situation, some are more willing than others though~
The ones that are the most likely to do it are Vil (big fan of rewarding with a bj), Silver (he is such a good boy), Epel (he is eager to please and to prove himself!!) and Deuce (he acts first and thinks after, and sometimes it puts him on his knees because he feels too much love towards his top and wants to express it).

Hey this might be a weird question but I thought you would be a good person to ask: How does one know if they count as a butch lesbian? Because I really want to use that label but I'm not sure if it would be acceptable for me to.
On one hand I love working out, dressing masculinely, I don't wear makeup and I really want to be the butch in a relationship.
On the other hand I'm super short (like ridiculously so, 4' 10" / 152 cm), I like having long hair and I do occasionally enjoy wearing skirts on occasion. So I don't know if I'd count. I've had people tell me that I don't.
It's just that every depiction of butch women I've seen is so different from me and that makes me feel like I can't use the label. But your art makes me feel seen and gives me hope that maybe I could be one, so I wanted to ask you. Thank you so much for your time, I hope I'm not intruding! Stay hydrated and happy!
okay so, before i started to id as a butch, i was going through the exact same thing as you. i kept thinking “what if i’m not good enough? what if i’m not masculine enough? what if they flat out deny me? what if they say i’m not really butch because there were times in my life where i really thought i was femme?”
i’m fat, i’m autistic, i’m disabled. i’m too geeky and not the most athletic person, definitely not your local handy man. i wear and make a lot of jewelry and put on the occasional eyeliner. i thought all of this made me a phony, and that i couldn’t identify as a real butch.
i want to tell you now that real butches are some of the most accepting people i have ever met. they accept you as you are, warts and all, and more often than not, you will meet butches who are a lot like you(after a little digging!)
i also want to say that while masculinity is absolutely a part of being butch, toxic masculinity isn’t! masculinity isn’t the absolute absence of femininity. butches, wear your skirts, wear your make up, wear whatever makes you happy because fuck gender roles! also being short has nothing to do with being butch, short butches are amazing!
butch is transformative, butch is subversive, butch is radical,
butch is beautiful.

hi tumblr! its been a minute!
9 days in japan felt longer than it actually was, especially with everything that we did and the challenges we faced during that trip
but overall it was a really lovely trip with my family and im so glad we got to go on different adventures all together again
its so hot as in i cant even understand why and how its so hot; and my neck is suffering kasi im pretty sure i have a skin condition and whenever its hot and im sweaty, super duper naiiritate yung buong neck and batok ko and it makes it so itchy so here i am with powder around my neck just to help not make it itchy
ive taken atleast 2 naps today, i guess its also because of the heat pero i guess its also my body just gaining back the energy i burned in japan, ready to tackle the last few days of the month!
i feel like this time around, i would usually hate on the fact that my birth month (august) usually brings in the rain, but with this heat, i dont think id mind at all cause id take wet and cold any day if it was this hot everyday
spending time with jp is my favorite thing to do; he understands me and he goes above and beyond to make sure im happy - i got this man massaging my feet cause of all the walking i did in japan like where tf has this man been all my life and what did i do to deserve such a kind soul
im gonna journal now to end the month of april on a good note kasi tomorrow and tuesday is gonna be busy for me and my officemates too since we have a styling proejct to do in nuvali
happy sunday, tumblr! please stay hydrated!

Tell us what the skincare is like!! :D
well so first reviews after incorporating it into my skincare routine just now
iUnik calendula cleansing oil very nice on my skin! was expecting to be very dehydrated afterwards since my skin tends to dry out when i cleanse it but that wasnt the case at all! on my nose i saw it dissolve the sebum (excess oil) i tend to have in my nose pores and i think they look smaller now? but that could be placebo so ill have to see after a time of using it. smells nice
beauty of joseon ginseng essence water to no surpise this stuff rlly smells like ginseng, not a bad smell but its like they just bottled up the whole plant. feels nice, didnt need a lot to cover my whole face and got absorbed by my skin super quick instead of just sitting on top of it. felt hydrated and firm after it
beauty of joseon revive serum (mini bottle from the hanbang discovery set) once again only needed a little bit to get my whole face covered. got absorbed super quickly as well which really suprised me cuz atp that was the 3rd product id slapped on there. left a firm skin moisturised skin, ill see which one i benefit most from but i started with this one and ill see what it does!
overal they felt super nice and none of them irritated my skin! which considering i have a v senstive skin and i shaved earlier today i was kind of expecting to happen. i'm most impressed with how fast they got absorbed into my skin since most cremes and serums in my experience just sit on the skin and leave this weird moist feeling which is the WORST sensory experience. My skin feels very moisturised and firm and not at all overworked. I'll be testing out the rice toner from "im from" at a later date since its for my roommate maddy but i have her blessing to try it out
so far korean skincare seems to live up to the hype cuz this is niceee

Also your art is SUPERR pretty just.. aughhh. I love the colours you use and the way your render <33 and the way you draw Mizi is just *chef's kiss*
Sorry for my little ramble-- excuse me while I crawl back into my hole
(Hope you have a wonderful day and stay hydrated!!)
thank YOU FOR FUELING MY ALIEN STAGE BRAINROT?? I remember when I first started this account id scroll through the alnst tag longingly wondering if I should post or not and I'd see your art while scrolling!! Your art is absolutely amazing too!! I love the linework in your art!! everything seems to flow so nicely and I find myself staring at it for a concerning amount of time. like. zooming in on every corner of the art type concerning.
please do talk my ear off about ALNST!!! I'm actually not that great at communicating myself but my adoration for ALNST is like a curse that wills me to talk about it ALL the time seriously my brain is actually deteriorating. I will also explode if I don't talk about it I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm so grateful people actually have fun reading my stuff even though I'm insanely inaccurate a lot of the time!! it genuinely means a lot to me because honestly it's been torture just holding this interest in with no one to properly talk about it to. If you're ever in need of someone to dump all your ALNST thoughts to my inbox/messages are WIIIIIIIIDE open like so excruciatingly wide the cover fell off.

Hey all!! Im so sorry ive been dead for DAYS now 😭😭 i said id never do this again but hhh-- here we are 🧍🧍 again im so sorry for suddenly dipping like that im super weird like that 🗿🗿
This isnt a fanfic or a oneshot or anything of the likes. It's a bit different from what i usually write, but i wanted to let this one out. Early this morning, me and my (ex) schoolmates received news of one of our teacher who taught us a subject of deen (religion) passing away. Ustazah had been battling breast cancer for some time now, even before we finished our SPM examination, and just this morning she returned to Rahmatullah. We all missed her greatly. She was an amazing teacher, but He loved her more. I hope my fellow muslims can recite alfatihah and donate its reward for her. Love you all and remember to stay safe and stay hydrated <3
The subject you taught was a subject that I never really thought I’d enjoy learning, up until the 4th year in high school. When I realised that the topics in it were interesting, while it didn’t make the subject any easier for me, I could still see myself improving compared to previous years.
From okay to bad, and lastly to worse. That was how my performance on the subject became in my last year of high school. Nobody was at fault aside from me, of course. But still, I’d be lying if I say I’m not infuriated at myself, even for just a little bit.
Nevertheless, you never gave up on me. You believed in me, no matter how badly I’d performed. And admittedly, I was scared. Scared of letting you down. You were strict yet also so very gentle. You were one of the strongest people I’ve ever met, and I looked up to you for your virtues. I sometimes wished I could be more like you. You were amazing, in so many ways. You were righteous, your faith in Him never wavers, and you always prioritised us, even when you were battling in your own war.
Humans could never really run away from their nature. And that included me. You never really appreciate the things you have until you lose them. You never really regretted the things you never do or say, until it’s too late.
I wished you could see where we’re standing right now. I wished you could see the fruits of your, and your colleagues’, labour. I wished you could smile alongside us when we finally reached that fateful day. I wished you could’ve stayed with us for a little bit longer. I wished I could’ve said sorry a thousand more times to you. I wished I could thank you a million more times for all that you’ve done for us. I wished for a lot of things for you. In the end, all of us knew that He loved you more than we do, and you had to go back to Him.
For the you who loved your own subject, for the you who loved and treasure us, for the you who loved Him and His Prophet, and for the you who loved and treasure your religion, I pray that you’ll be placed amongst the righteous, and for you to be placed in Jannah. Me and so many others are greatly indebted to you for all you’ve done. We will never forget you, nor stop loving you. Thank you for everything, ustazah.

The Knobstone Trail is the longest, and arguably toughest, trail of the three; toting 10,000 feet of elevation with steeper climbs and descents throughout the escarpment. I completed this in the ides of May 2023 and it is my longest run to date (time and distance)! By this time, it was already becoming overgrown in sections especially reroutes and there are many, many tree blow downs throughout from the inclement winter we had.
The idea started with a deep love of the trail and confidence from the hundreds of miles I spent on the Knobstone since learning about it in 2020. There were some local races that interested me at the 50 mile distance, but the most exciting and rewarding goal for me was to compile the trail in one effort, marrying all my dedication to it over the years. So I began to plan; how far apart were each trailheads again? where were the sources that I would filter water? could I really carry that many snacks? I was already very familiar with the weight of my pack at this time but realized that incorporating strength leading up to this endeavor would be paramount to my success so I became more dedicated to adding that to my training (and could my hips, calves and feet have done it without this?).
Based on fuel training and familiarity, I compiled my nutrition needs. Half of this in the front pockets, the other half stored with the bladder to be moved to the front around mile 22. ~ Ten salt tabs, two 16 oz front flasks filled with 1:1 scoops of Skratch hydration and Skratch super carb, two Skratch hydration servings for later, 40 oz of plain Louisville tap water, 2 Skratch rice krispy treats, 2 packs of Skratch gummies (with caffeine), 3 Bobo's oat bites, 2 granola bars and 2 GUs. While clearly aligned with Skratch, their cookbook taught me the importance of liquid hydration and I planned over half of my calories to be consumed that way, not to mention keeping up with the salt/electrolytes requirements.
I topped off the "oh shit" bag in my vest with a reflective blanket just in case, headlamp (needed to start), phone charger and cable, nut butter, sanitizing wipes, bandages, bug wipes, headphones, extra socks (not needed) and attached my trekking poles. My vest weighed in over 10 pounds, is this overpacking or complete preparedness?
Waking up that Saturday morning it felt surreal. Was I really about to wake my partner up, have him drop me off at a trailhead in the dark and continue north for 50 miles? I guess so, so I got out of bed.
I sipped my coffee on the ride there, a storm just passing over the knobs as we neared the the parking lot at Deam Lake, mile 0 of the Knobstone Trail. I put my pack on, said goodbye and off I was. Immediately I was wet, it was a humid morning and the passing leaves were holding water from the nights storm until I brushed against them. But even that was slipping from my mind, a continuously calling whippoorwill was the only sound I could focus on, followed by my breathe in the dark. I could see the lightning bugs still flickering, off to bed as I began my day. It felt magic, this had to be the morning for such a feat.
The first hour heading to Round Knob, the tallest point and most scenic overlook of the trail, I kept on track with nutriton plans (100 calories an hour, steady water, salt tab each 90 minutes or less) for the long day ahead. Getting here is a feat in itself, I stopped to enjoy the foggy view and then let it go behind me.
Time and miles went with ease. I was nearing mile 20 and as planned, my front pack snacks were running low and in a few miles I would be nearing a water source I planned to stop to filter water and rearrange my pack. Woof, putting on a pack filled with another 60+ ounces of water felt heavy but I kept out a snack to work on as I climbed back up to a ridge and out of this valley.
Next, the crux. It was nearing 90 degrees at this point in the afternoon and I was passing Leota (mile 25+) on my way to Elk Creek, 30 miles from the start. These hills always seem the most daunting and unrelentess, climbing up and down hollers in seemingly the middle of nowhere. I stopped again to refill water and worked on moving forward, running when I could even if just moments as I think its good for morale. This trail isn't what I would call "runnable" to begin with but it definitely pays to have the mental strength and strategy to settle in with the glorified hike, as I often hear of sections like this causing folks to bonk and tap out. I was beginning to miss the water bearing leaves, as that had evaporated by this point and I was focusing on staying hydrated and eating at this 9th hour.
I filled my front flasks again near mile 40, a flat mile or two that runs along the creek before the Delaney loop. This area was where my last longest run ended less than 6 months ago; that and thoughts of past runs with close friends in upcoming sections fueled me onward. Was I really this close to 50? I started to hear thunder in the distance, whose clouds I saw as I climbed, would this run end in a storm as it had almost began? Each turn on the last loops leaves you feeling like the last is just around the corner, I tried to stay in the moment and not to expectant as I broke 13 hours and thunder seemed closer. Nearing 13 and a half hours, I started going steeper downhill, the end was near! It started to sprinkle. Then I could see the ending trailhead. I was so proud, how did all of that just happen?
The rain started to pick up so I changed in the back of the car and got a Coke out of the cooler and some chips. We drove out of the park as the rain picked up. It was more than I could have asked for. Fifty miles on the Knobstone Trail. I am still giddy with a humility.

hi Luta, it’s sunny sub🐛 again! (i think the sunny part came from a typo of subby, but i like it so im keeping it) i hope today was a good start of the week for you! today the plan was to finish up the last tasks in reorganizing my workspace/desk area, and then move on to the computer based admin tasks & language self study. but unfortunately my “quick finishing touches” on my workspace ended up ballooning a little out of control by me getting too focused on hyper specific details and not being able to move on until it was exactly perfect. i eventually was able to pull back and move on, but it took up a larger portion of my day than i wanted it too. once i finally got to the computer based tasks portion of the day, i was able to get caught up on all my emails, book some appointments, and do a couple hours of language study. i tried to remember to hydrate, i think i did pretty decently. and for my fun self care/reward activity, i experimented with some makeup and hairstyle looks id been wanting to try for a while! it made me feel super cute and i had fun doing it. tomorrow i’m back at work after having this string of days off, and i definitely need to make sure i go to bed at a decent time tomorrow night bc im exhausted. despite probably pushing myself a little too much though, i still feel really relieved after getting all these things done. having the mess all gone and things organized nicely makes my brain feel so much less scattered and overwhelmed in turn. thank you for all your encouragement and praise, it’s what kept me going when i wanted to just check out and give up. with much appreciation, 🐛💕xxx
Hey sunny sub 🐛
Keep it. We'll roll with it. You seem sunny anyways.
Good Girl, you bumped, but you got back up. And you even did as I requested and rewarded yourself. Look at you being so good. Sounds like you really enjoyed it too! I'm so glad. You deserve it. Me time is important.
Back to work. Hope it's better than expected, and you feel refreshed to re-tackle the work world.
I'm a Dom, I enjoy this too. Lots of love 💜💜💜

alright folks, its guessin' time!
so, how many eggs do you think crouton (and possibly breadcrumb, if shes that age now!) has laid in the past 2 weeks?
a) 0-49
b) 50-99
c) 100-149
d) 150-199
e) 200+ (holy fucking shit???)
and the answer is...
...147! for ONCE the answer wasnt the highest (or even 2nd highest!) answer!
147 is still a TON, but considering last time was 180+? im very happy to see crouton is slowing down a little. laying all those eggs has to be super taxing on a tiny lil spricket body!
im yet to see breadcrumb demonstrate any egg-laying behavior, but based on croutons experience, id imagine shes gonna start pretty soon if she hasnt already! iirc crouton started around a week after her final molt, which is pretty much where breadcrumb is at.
...anyway... thats a lotta rice!!!!!
final note!: i think the cause of those yellow-ish eggs i started noticing last time is more moisture. as i was combing through the dirt for eggs, i found 3 yellow-ish ones stuck to a somewhat large, porous substrate, so i think its fair to conclude that it was hydrating those eggs.
the question is, are they that color because theyre TOO hydrated, or just right? part of me is thinking its the latter, but without any experience hatching eggs, i have no information to go by.

How to Prepare for a Hospital Stay: A Comprehensive Guide
Preparing for a hospital stay can be a daunting experience, especially if it's your first time. Whether you're going to a local clinic or a super multispeciality hospital in Jaipur, being well-prepared can make a significant difference in your comfort and recovery. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the essential steps to ensure you're ready for your hospital stay.
Understanding Your Hospital Stay
Before delving into the specifics of preparation, it's crucial to understand the nature of your hospital stay. Ask your doctor about the length of your stay, the procedures you'll undergo, and what you can expect in terms of recovery. Knowing these details can help you plan better and reduce anxiety.
1. Get Informed
Information is power, especially when it comes to your health. Make sure you:
Understand Your Diagnosis: Know the details of your medical condition and the treatment plan. This includes understanding the procedure, possible risks, and expected outcomes.
Know Your Hospital: Familiarize yourself with the hospital where you will be admitted. If you’re staying at the best hospital in Jaipur, check their website for information about their facilities, patient care services, and visiting hours.
2. Prepare Documentation
Having all your necessary documents in order can streamline the admission process and ensure that the medical staff has all the information they need. Key documents include:
Identification: Carry a government-issued ID like a passport or driver's license.
Insurance Information: Bring your insurance card and any pre-authorization paperwork if required.
Medical Records: Have copies of your medical history, recent test results, and a list of medications you are currently taking.
Emergency Contacts: List down the names and phone numbers of people who should be contacted in case of an emergency.
Packing for Your Hospital Stay
Packing the right items can significantly enhance your comfort during your hospital stay. Here’s a checklist of essentials:
3. Personal Items
Clothing: Pack comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. Consider bringing pajamas, a robe, and slippers. Ensure you have clothes for both sleeping and walking around.
Toiletries: Bring personal hygiene items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and a hairbrush. Hospitals often provide basic toiletries, but having your own can be more comforting.
Comfort Items: Bring items that make you feel at home, such as a blanket, pillow, or favorite book. Personal comfort items can help reduce stress and make your stay more pleasant.
4. Medications
Current Medications: Bring a list of all the medications you are currently taking, including dosages and schedules. Also, bring the medications themselves, but ensure they are clearly labeled.
Prescription Information: Have a list of your prescriptions with details about the prescribing doctor and pharmacy.
5. Electronics
Mobile Phone and Charger: Keep your phone and charger handy. A mobile phone can help you stay connected with family and friends.
Entertainment: Consider bringing a tablet, laptop, or e-reader for entertainment. Don’t forget headphones if you plan to watch videos or listen to music.
Pre-Hospitalization Preparation
6. Health and Wellness
Follow Pre-Admission Instructions: Your doctor may give you specific instructions to follow before your hospital stay, such as fasting or taking certain medications. Adhere to these instructions carefully.
Stay Healthy: In the days leading up to your hospital stay, focus on staying healthy. Eat nutritious meals, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest.
7. Home Arrangements
Household Management: Make arrangements for any household responsibilities. Ensure that bills are paid, pets are cared for, and mail is collected.
Childcare: If you have children, arrange for their care. Inform their school or daycare about your hospital stay and provide emergency contact details.
Work Arrangements: Inform your employer about your hospital stay and provide necessary documentation if required. Make arrangements to cover your duties while you are away.
During Your Hospital Stay
8. Communication
Stay Informed: Keep communication lines open with your healthcare team. Don’t hesitate to ask questions about your treatment plan, medications, and recovery process.
Stay Connected: Use your mobile phone to stay in touch with family and friends. Having emotional support can be a significant comfort during your hospital stay.
9. Follow Hospital Guidelines
Respect Hospital Rules: Adhere to the hospital’s policies regarding visiting hours, hygiene practices, and other regulations.
Stay Positive: Maintain a positive attitude and focus on your recovery. Engage in light activities if permitted, such as walking or reading.
Post-Hospitalization Care
10. Discharge Planning
Understand Discharge Instructions: Before leaving the hospital, ensure you understand all discharge instructions. This includes information about medication, follow-up appointments, and any lifestyle changes you need to make.
Arrange Transportation: Plan how you will get home from the hospital. If you require assistance, arrange for someone to accompany you.
11. Home Recovery
Set Up Your Home: Prepare your home for your recovery. This might include setting up a comfortable space to rest, having easy access to necessary items, and arranging for help with daily tasks if needed.
Follow-Up Care: Attend all follow-up appointments and adhere to your doctor’s advice for a smooth recovery.
Conclusion

Does the IUD hurt really bad? I don't want to get the insertion in my arm bc I have hormonal acne already, and I'm scared id forget when taking the pill. I'm just really scared the IUD would hurt really bad bc ive never had kids and I'm pretty much a virgin.
It really depends on the person, what you do before the appointment, and the office where you get the IUD inserted. Many doctors offer medicine to help numb the cervix before the IUD is put in, since some people feel cramping or pain when they’re getting the IUD placed. If you're worried about pain, you can search for doctors that offer an anesthetic as an option. Other doctors will recommend that you take a pain medication before the procedure to help prevent cramps.
Even without anesthetic, the process of getting an IUD is painless for some people. That said, about 70% of people do experience some pain when the IUD is being inserted. This pain is usually comparable to strong period cramps and lasts only one or two minutes. The entire process takes about five minutes.
Many people feel perfectly fine after they get an IUD and can go back to work or school the same day without any issues. Some people do experience cramping or backaches similar to period pain after getting an IUD, which is totally normal. Those intermittent cramps usually last a few days when they happen and typically aren't too painful. Less commonly, cramping can sometimes come and go for several months after IUD insertion. If you currently have painful periods, you may be at an increased risk for more pain during the insertion process or after it. If you have vaginismus or a tilted uterus, the procedure may be more painful as well.
To reduce your risk of a painful procedure, make sure that you go to a reputable office that inserts IUDs often. The more experience they have, the more aware of different pain management options they'll be, and the less likely it is that you'll get an IUD that's placed incorrectly or have a procedure that causes an injury to your uterus. If you do decide to get one, schedule your appointment during the last few days of your menstrual cycle, as that will make the IUD easier to insert. Before your appointment, make sure you eat well, sleep, and are hydrated. Dehydration, exhaustion, and hunger can make the insertion process worse and contribute to more pain afterwards. Taking ibuprofen or naproxen before and after the procedure can also help to minimize any pain.
The good news is that once you get an IUD, it can last up to twelve years (depending on the type you get). So for a lot of people, even though it runs the risk of being painful, it's worth getting an IUD to avoid worrying about birth control for such a long period of time. The other benefit is that IUDs often reduce period symptoms or get rid of them entirely, so even though the initial process is painful, it can actually prevent pain in the long run (Mirena and Liletta are best for this- the copper IUD may make period pain worse).
If you're want a birth control option that you don't have to maintain on a daily basis but an IUD isn't for you, your other option is the depo-Provera Shot. This is an injection you get from your doctor once every three months that prevents ovulation. About three-quarters of women stop getting their period altogether after 2-3 shots, so it can provide similar period pain relief benefits as the birth control pill or an IUD. It's about 96% effective at preventing pregnancy in typical use and 99% effective with perfect use, so similarly effective to other birth control options you might consider.
Ultimately, it's a super personal choice, and there's no right or wrong answer. All decisions that we make in life have some degree of trade-off, and making medical choices is no different. But the good news is that there are a lot of good choices available to you, and hopefully you can find one that works and that you feel comfortable with.
