Phoenix: In the trilogy era, yes. He trusts people, but believes that trust has to be built on pursuing justice and always accepting the harsh reality. He'd be sad about it, but a narc nonetheless. In his Beanix era he's making his money through "totally legal gambling" and on the hunt for questionably legal evidence so I have no doubt in my mind there's a pot farm under the WAA for supplemental income. He gives up his narc ways and for that I salute him

Apollo: If I were to pick a single member of this cast who is NOT invited to the rotation it would be him. He had zero hesitation throwing Kristoph to the wolves after working for him for years so I know he has absolutely zero qualms about ratting out his friends or coworkers. Loyalty means nothing in the eyes of justice and it means nothing to him. He's a narc.

Athena: She's gonna lecture you and look all sad about it, but she's no snitch. She's been through the rounds with Simon so she gets it. Having to know you hurt her feelings is enough of a punishment in her eyes

Edgeworth: He's not a narc but he IS obsessed with being right, so if you don't immediately fess up with exactly what you're doing he's going to send your stoned ass to the chess dimension and honestly I think that's worse

Summary! In which Harry Potter and Y/N L/N decided to keep their relations a secret given the deep rooted rivalry between their houses but it seems no matter how well they've hidden it, secrets always have a way of coming out, especially when a certain red head finds his way into it.

Warnings / Content! Harry is absolutely whipped it's crazy, an argument between our favorite besties, Ron being an ass ( still love him tho ), no real warnings tbh, fluffy ending.

It seems our secrets have come awry.

Within the stone walls of Hogwarts school for witchcraft and wizardry green and red were always at each others throats. Between quidditch matches, the race for house cup points, and the simple rivalry that had initially sparked back in Godrick Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin's days, there was always a clash between the two houses.

So when Harry James Potter, golden boy of the lion house himself, had found himself infatuated with Y/N M/N L/N, one of Salazar's most scared snakes, he figured it'd be best to keep their relations quietly hidden behind closed doors.

Y/N L/N was an ideal Slytherin. Cunning, prideful, even prefect. He didn't know what it was about her that made her so different to him. It might've been her strive for success, the way she may be self righteous at times but still was relentlessly selfless, or the fact that no matter how many times she had been given the chance, she was steadfastly fair. Harry soon decided he may never know what it was about her and truthfully it didn't matter, he was completely and undeniably in love with her, each and every part.

"There's no way I missed that!" Y/N exclaimed with a hearty laugh. Currently the two were hidden within a blocked off corridor, a halfway point between their two worlds. Late at night during a time where the two of them didn't have to worry of others.

"You must've, there's no way you can just miss Filch screaming down the halls, completely purple!" Harry chuckled, it only caused Y/N to laugh more, falling into his chest.

Her laugh brought him nothing but bliss, no matter how muffled it was, it echoed through his chest and rang like a symphony to his soul.

Once she had finally composed herself she spoke again, "One day, in the far future, I will give my highest of regards to the Weasley twins for their antics."

The new voice startled both of them. No one was supposed to be awake at this hour, the two snapped their heads and jolted away from each other.

Harry felt his heart drop, Ronald Weasley, his best friend since the first day he stepped onto the Hogwarts express, stood there before him. His expression, shocked and furious.

"I'd head back to the dungeons if I were you," Ron began, staring Y/N down. "Sure your cousins would notice the head snake left the den."

Harry could see her irritation form, "You are so lucky I don't have my wand on me Weasley-"

Harry stopped her and told her to head back, there didn't need to be a scene ringing throughout the castle. This was bad enough as is.

The argument that the two had once Y/N had been out of earshot was one that they had never had before. It wasn't some petty row or a small spat, it was a true argument with venomous words that pricked at Harry's heart like thorns.

"She's a snake Harry! Head snake at that!" Ron exclaimed after Harry shooed him into an empty classroom he then charmed to be silenced, in hopes no one would hear and come looking for what the sound was at this late of an hour.

"That shouldn't be an automatic rule that she's horrible!" Harry retorted, "She despises Malfoy more than us, Ron! She doesn't believe in any of-"

"You don't think that's true do you?" Ron remarked, his voice raised. "Harry she's fronting to get close to you-"

"She is not!" It was harsh, Harry meant for it to be.

"And you're just so sure of that?" There was an accusatory tone in Ron's words, "For all you know she's probably working with Malfoy to get in your head, find out your secrets-"

Harry wanted to drown his words out, you know Y/N, you know none of it is true, it became a mantra in his thoughts, repeated so loud he wondered if the outside world could become completely silent if he kept it going.

And if it could have, it didn't happen soon enough.

"It's not real Harry! She doesn't love yo-"

Harry was happy to know he'd never hear what Ron planned to finish his sentence with, because within seconds he was out the door and long gone on his way back to the Gryffindor tower.

At this point he didn't even bother to put the invisibility cloak he had brought with him back on, he didn't care who saw him anymore. He had never felt so angry, even more so with the boy he considered a brother. How could he say those things? He doesn't know her like I do. He doesn't know her at all.

Ron was supposed to be his best friend, he was supposed to have his back, Harry was supposed to count on him no matter what and now he didn't know what to think.

OVER a day had passed and Harry hadn't even looked at Ron. Harry could only hope Hermione was still in the dark and Ron hadn't spilled the beans to her or anyone else for that matter.

He fell back onto his other friends for the day and hoped no one picked up on the rift between them, only until later that night, at a quarter past midnight was he finally able to see to the one thing he knew he could count on.

Y/N.

"He doesn't know what he's talking about!" Harry expressed to Y/N after letting her know of the argument. (Of course without giving the explicit details that he knew would hurt)

Y/N watched as he paced back and forth.

"I don't blame him, It's a reasonable thought for a Gryffindor." Y/N tried, Harry shook his head quickly.

"It's not! He doesn't know you, he can't say those things! I just- I can't believe it!" Harry threw his hands up in exasperation. Y/N stood up and gently grabbed his hands, causing him to stop in his tracks and turn towards her.

It took not even a second for him to completely melt once his eyes met hers, it was a normalcy about her that he'd always love.

"Look I appreciate the sentiment but it makes sense, I'd think the same in his situation." Y/N said quite frankly, "Truthfully I would've said much worse about it to, me being me and all. I understand it."

Harry's heart hurt. "You shouldn't have to."

"And yet I do." Y/N squeezed Harry's hand slightly. "I am head snake after all. I get why you're mad and I get why he's mad. Though I don't know much of anything of Weasley and as you know most days I don't care to, I do know you. You and him have a bond, a very strong bond. I can only hope it doesn't end with us on opposite sides again but you two will make it through this. I swear that to you."

Harry knew deep in his heart she was right, no matter how furious he felt, she was the smartest Slytherin had. She was always right.

It would take many nights of arguments and cruel words, the unfortunate involvement of Hermione and many consoling nights in Y/N's arms, but it happened eventually. Though Ron isn't entirely for Y/N, he wasn't entirely against her and that was enough of a start for Harry.

And maybe one day, no matter how impossible it seems, he and everyone else would see her in a different light and just maybe, he'd let their secret finally come awry and he get to love her in the light.

I hope this is okay to ask but I’m pretty desperate and googling stuff has failed me, so do you or one of your followers have recommendations on how to deal with the BO that comes with taking testosterone? I never had BO that couldn’t just be managed by showering enough and putting on just any deodorant but now that I’m taking T I sweat a lot and I smell bad and I nothing I do seems to fix it. My boss has politely mentioned it several times now despite all my effort and it’s so mortifying and embarrassing.

Things I’ve tried and am currently doing include so many different deodorants which I bring to work and reapply, putting baking powder in my shoes, on top of general basic hygiene. But none of it seems to make a dent and it doesn’t help that I can’t really change clothes or shoes throughout the day. I have to wear closed toed shoes and a lab coat and my job is pretty active, plus it’s 10 minutes walk from the parking lot and it’s over 100F or 40 C right now so when I arrive at work I’m already pouring sweat. I also have a large chest so it all gets under my bra and soaks into it and by the end of the day the bottom part of my bra reeks.

I know some ocasional BO on a busy day can’t be helped but none of the other people at work including other male coworkers seem to have the same issue at all, so there’s got to be a solution but I haven’t found it. Im thinking of trying antiperspirants but I also know I need to sweat and I would rather not put my health at risk. So if anyone has something that works for them please let me know bc im really desperate here.

First I want to say: you're not doing anything wrong. You probably just sweat more than some other folks, and that's not your fault, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. I'm gonna give you some ideas to try if you haven't yet, but I don't know how much you've already tried, and it sounds like you've been through a lot already.

I also have always had terrible BO, and the only thing that helped at all pre-T was "prescription strength" deodorant. I honestly have had less of an issue since starting T, weirdly enough, but part of that is also that I physically cannot stand to shower any less frequently than every single morning (not necessarily a good thing lol), and I also started using antibacterial products on my armpits when I shower.

Currently I use benzoyl peroxide body wash on my armpits, which can be drying, but it hasn't caused me issues so far (just look for Panoxyl, other brands have caused irritation for me and my partner both). I used Betadine surgical scrub before that for a bit (you collect weird shit when you work with horses 🤷‍♂️) and that worked well, too- plus it's less likely to irritate skin.

I also find that certain shirts cause me to sweat there more, and those also tend to be the more form-fitting shirts that get up into my armpits. That skin def needs to breathe.

My partner has had trouble with feet/shoes in the past, and he's used cedar shoeforms to mitigate that (cedar is also antibacterial!). He also makes sure any shoes he gets are breathable (not leather), and if they are leather, he gives them at least a day or two between wears. Probably good practice if you notice any kind of smell on any of your shoes.

You mention baking powder, and I'm not sure if you meant baking soda and just mixed them up (which I do all the time lmao) but just in case: if you are using baking powder, the one you want is baking soda.

I don't have much advice for chest sweat, except that you may want to consider bringing an extra bra (and maybe an extra pair of socks if you're noticing it before the end of the day) to change into midway through the day. You can also look for more breathable fabrics in general, especially athletic-wear, which is already designed to help wick sweat and mitigate those issues.

Lastly, I want to stress again that you're not doing anything wrong. Some people have more trouble with this than others, and if you're really struggling in a way nobody around you is, it may be that you've got something going on in your body that they don't have to deal with. This could be a medical thing as well (like acne!!), and there's no shame in seeking medical solutions for it. Talk to your doctor if you can; it sounds like it's causing you distress, and you deserve to be comfortable.

You know I have come to the realization that this is a thing on which I would like to be clear, as a reasonably prolific writer of fanfic with a range of readers who all have very different levels of familiarity with the various canons I have dabbled in: I love a lot of things about [ insert canon here ] and I definitely DO have certain personal pet peeves in regards to "yeah this person definitely didn't read/watch/even-briefly-skim anything outside of fandom" interpretations that I find particularly slanderous or are just Not My Vibe or things like that which I personally just can't get into or enjoy. Like, things that are just not to my taste, you know?

But also, fuck it, canon is a suggestion and fandom's only actual "rules" are "try not to be an entitled prick or actively hateful", as far as I'm concerned. No, no one has to do the homework just to write/draw/meta/post about something they're getting something out of. I personally am too dang old to do any more of the homework than I want to and I am sure as heck not gonna hold anyone else to that standard either.

Imo there is just no reason whatsoever to ever be upset about MORE people getting involved in the fun thing and enjoying themselves with it, especially when we can all zero-effort back-button out of anything we don’t like. I don't care if they're wrong about [ insert character here ]!! I mean, I do, I very much do, it makes my 'tisms personally insane, but unless someone's wrong in like a hateful/sexist/racist/bigoted way, that's their business, not anybody else's! Let 'em cook, people! We don't get better content in our fandoms by getting publicly judgy about and way too publicly INVESTED in how other people in it have fun. Actually, all we get that way is LESS content. Like so, so much less.

Look, it's a process, I'm personally still working on it myself. There's def stuff that bothers or pet-peeves me, and stuff I just gotta skate past without engaging. I just think keeping a little more perspective helps, in these situations.

Also, not telling people things like "hey if you don't read literal DECADES' worth of MULTIPLE monthly-release comics and all the relevant crossovers and events/watch every single episode and movie released since the seventies/listen to all the bonus episodes of this already-over-one-hundred-hours podcast, you don't belong here" helps. Skill 1 passively makes him more likely to be attacked, when active it increases his Max HP & DEF and makes enemies that attack him take Burn buildup

Skill 3 increases his Max HP, ATK & DEF and makes his second talent apply to all operators, upon skill activation it generates a firewall that spans across the entire battlefield, operator attacks that deal Arts damage against enemies on the opposite side of the firewall will additionally deal Burn buildup based on Yu's ATK, enemy projectiles that hit the firewall have a chance to be nullified

Showcased Blaze the Igniting Spark, a 6* Primal Caster that takes advantage of Burn Burst

First talent activates when Burn Burst triggers on any enemy on the field, deal more Elemental damage to them based on Blaze's ATK and she recovers some HP

Second talent activates when Blaze is defeated, instead of retreating she will instead be knocked down and she gains a large amount of Barrier, she cannot attack or be healed while downed but she recovers HP every second, once fully healed she will revive and Stun all nearby enemies for a few seconds

S1 drops a fire field on the operator with highest Max HP in her range, it deals Arts damage every second and Burn buildup based on the damage dealt by the fire field, lasting for several seconds

S2 changes her range, increases her attack interval, increases her ATK and allows her to attack multiple targets at once, she loses HP with each attack but the enemies she attacks leaves a fire trail, enemies in the fire trail have reduced Movement Speed, receive Arts damage and Burn buildup based on the damage dealt by the fire trail

S3 changes her range, greatly shortens her attack interval, increases her ATK and makes her attacks AoE, if the enemies she hits are under Burn Burst status she deals additional Elemental damage to them, it is an ammo skill that makes her lose HP every second but when Burn Burst triggers on any enemy on the field she gains more ammo, skill can be deactivated manually

Showcased the event mechanic, Fire Stoves powered by chopstick enemies that have hit-based HP, chopsticks will go into one of the 2 stoves on the field depending on their state, enemy chopsticks can be attacked and converted into allied chopsticks and vice versa, when fully charged the allied stove will summon a spirit dragon that deals massive true damage to all enemies in its path

Okay so theory I had cooking but now I have more to go on:

The parts of Jon and Martin that are in this universe are the parts that were most connected to the fears.

Norris so far hasn't seemingly brought up relevant cases to conversations. They're relevant to Martin sure (loved one dying and then the transformation into something horrible in their wake), but in regards to the surrounding conversations, with the two statements we have they seemingly stand alone.

Meanwhile Chester, we've got his first introduction being the Magnus Institute, the second possible responding Sam wanting to sign a contract he doesnt know the consquences of, and the latest maybe to Celia wanting a buried alive mixed with meat case.

With the email from "John" we possibly have him even being an active participant.

If my theory is true, then more of Jon would be in Chester than Martin in Norris. Martin def had properties of the fears (he had his own domain after all) but Jon was more or less fully dependent on them at that point. In a way this situation could be the opposite of what was going on in Upton House, where Jon is fully connected to the fears but with no body to ground him.

Either way, I'm fascinated on where they're gonna take this.

Spoilery thoughts about Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol 2.02 Moulin Rouge

Carol and Ash are totally driving me nuts. There's way too much chemistry between them and a beautiful bond is being formed here. Carol promises him to be back, and he promises to not leave without her. It's beautiful. Look, a boy and a girl can just be friends! 😉 (See what I did there?)

Now let's talk about the thing everybody will be raging about... SPOILERS AHEAD

The Darabell kiss. Holy lack of any chemistry... *cringe*

Zabel says you def see Daryl, Isa and Laurent as a family unit, before the kiss. As for the kiss, he just goes on about how they hoped there was a dynamic chemistry between the characters, but it wasn't a given, wasn't a necessity, but it happened and they thought it made sense to give it a visual realization.

To me, I think what Zabel meant is what we all got out of it, the kiss was absolutely unnecessary to the story, it doesn't change anything, but it was done to give the viewers a visual on how Daryl actually cared about these people, cause let's be honest, it's still pretty hard to believe he does care this much about these people he met like 2 months ago.

Anyways, Daryl hasn't stopped thinking about going home to Carol... and the others. That's still his main plan, but now he wants to take Isa and Laurent to the Commonwealth too...

But only after...

Isa tells him that in about a week, he's gonna leave them (holy, knowing what to say to trigger Daryl!) on a leap of faith so he can go back home. That's when he comes up with the idea to take them with him. You can't say this is not Daryl feeling guilty about leaving them behind. Hero complex activated!

An interesting quote from Daryl: "maybe that's all it was. Something that just kept you going." And I believe that fully explains Daryl's connection with these people - a thing that kept him going until he can find his way back home!

So, my personal feelings on all of this is that I'm totally unbothered about the kiss, the only thing that makes me go "are you fucking stupid" is Zabel having zero idea this will have such a big negative impact on the overall fandom. And NO, I'm not talking just about Carylers, or Donnies, I'm taking about Daryl stans who are lone wolfers, those who believe Daryl is demisexual or asexual, and so on. All of this, for absolutely NOTHING, for something the showrunner said wasn't a given or necessity. We already know, Daryl cares about people, he is capable of love, WE KNOW.

And as someone who already watched the 6 whole episodes, I will say Caryl on! It's coming, slowly, but surely. Hang in there.
