♡ What's Me Without You? | MV1
NEFERASKINGDOM
Summary: She’s his forbidden fruit—the one thing Max can never have but can’t stay away from. She’s his calm in the chaos, his greatest temptation, and the silent ache he’ll carry for the rest of his life.
A/N: This story was requested by @pinkinternetstarlight
MAX VERSTAPPEN MASTERLIST | MAIN MASTERLIST
Max Verstappen wasn’t sure when the ache in his chest had become a constant companion, a dull, hollow reminder of all he wanted but could never have. Maybe it had always been there, buried beneath the layers of fame, pressure, and expectation. Or maybe it had grown over time, with every laugh that escaped Y/n’s lips, with every soft touch of her hand on his arm, with every time she smiled at him like he was her whole world.
He didn’t deserve her. He never had.
Yet, she was always there, unwavering in her support, her loyalty, her love—though she would never admit it. Y/n wasn’t just his best friend. She was his home, the only person who saw every crack in his armor and stayed anyway.
Max leaned back against the couch, his head resting on her lap as her fingers combed gently through his hair. Her touch was soothing, her presence grounding him in a way no one else could. The silence between them wasn’t awkward; it was familiar, comforting. It was the kind of quiet that reminded him he wasn’t alone.
But even now, even with her hand softly stroking his head and her scent surrounding him, guilt gnawed at the edges of his mind.
He’d had a terrible race—another mechanical failure, another DNF that left him simmering with frustration. When he’d finally returned to his hotel room, all he wanted was her. Not Kelly, who was waiting for him back in Monaco with Penelope, but Y/n. It wasn’t right, and he knew it, but Y/n was the only one who could put him back together when he felt like he was falling apart.
“I came as soon as I could,” she whispered, her voice soft and laced with worry.
She always did.
It didn’t matter where in the world he was. It didn’t matter what she had going on. If he needed her, she came. She’d dropped everything to be here tonight, flying across time zones and leaving behind her own life to hold him in her arms.
Max closed his eyes, breathing her in. He could feel the tension in her body as she sat rigid beneath him, her free hand resting lightly on his shoulder. She was worried about him—she always worried about him.
“You didn’t have to come,” he murmured, though they both knew it was a lie. He didn’t know how to survive these nights without her anymore.
“Don’t be stupid,” she replied, her voice soft but firm. “Of course I had to come. You’re—” She paused, swallowing hard. “You’re my best friend.”
Max’s eyes fluttered open as her hand stilled in his hair. He shifted slightly, pressing his face into her neck, seeking the comfort he couldn’t find anywhere else.
Her skin was warm against his cheek, her pulse steady and reassuring. He felt safe here, in her arms, in her presence. But the safety came with a tinge of guilt, a bitter reminder that this wasn’t where he should be.
But Kelly didn’t understand.
Max could see it in the way her lips pressed together whenever Y/n’s name came up, the way her smile tightened whenever Y/n walked into the room. She never said anything outright, but the tension was there, simmering beneath the surface.
It didn’t matter.
Max knew where his loyalty lay. Y/n had been there long before Kelly, long before anyone. She was the reason he kept going some days, the only person who truly understood the toll this life took on him. Kelly might not like it, but even she couldn’t deny it—Max needed Y/n in a way he would never need anyone else.
He tried to make it work with Kelly, for Penelope’s sake if nothing else. He liked Kelly—she was kind and understanding in her own way, and he adored Penelope. But it wasn’t the same. It never could be.
Kelly had confronted him about it once, in the early days of their relationship.
“She loves you,” she had said, her voice calm but cutting.
Max had frozen, unsure how to respond. He didn’t deny it. How could he? Y/n’s love was written in every small thing she did for him, in every sacrifice she made, in every time she dropped everything to be by his side.
“And you love her,” Kelly had continued, her eyes hard but resigned.
He didn’t deny that, either.
But Kelly had never brought it up again. She knew better.
Because as much as she hated it, as much as it hurt her, she knew that if something happened Max would always choose Y/n.
Max shifted on the couch, his voice breaking the silence. “Do you ever think about what it would be like? If things were different?”
Y/n’s hand stilled in his hair, her fingers hovering for a moment before resuming their gentle strokes.
“Different how?” she asked softly, her voice careful, cautious.
Max hesitated, his heart pounding. He didn’t know why he had said it, why he was opening this door. But the words were out now, and there was no taking them back.
“Us,” he said quietly. “If we were...different.”
Y/n was silent for a long time, and Max felt his chest tighten, the weight of her unspoken words pressing down on him.
“Don’t,” she whispered finally, her voice trembling. “Don’t say things like that, Max.”
He remembered the first time she had cried in front of him. They had been teenagers, sitting in his room after a long day.
“No one likes me,” she had said, her voice thick with tears. “I’m ugly, and I’m boring, and no one wants to be with me.”
Max had been furious—not at her, but at the world for making her feel this way. He had held her as she cried, whispering reassurances into her hair.
“You’re beautiful,” he had told her, his voice firm. “And anyone who doesn’t see that is an idiot.”
She had sniffled, pulling back to look at him with watery eyes. “You’re just saying that.”
“I’m not,” he had said, his hands on her shoulders. “You’re amazing, Y/n. And if some guy doesn’t see that, then he’s not worth your time.”
He meant it. He always had.
But Max couldn’t help but feel guilty. After all, it was his fault she was crying in the first place.
He knew he had chased away every boy who had shown an interest in her. He hadn’t meant to, not at first. But the thought of her with someone else, of her giving her heart to someone who wasn’t him, was unbearable.
So he had intervened, subtly at first, then more overtly as time went on. He didn’t regret it, even when she cried on his shoulder, wondering why no one stayed.
He couldn’t tell her the truth, couldn’t admit that he was the reason.
Because Max Verstappen was a selfish man. And he couldn’t let a bit of guilt stop him from protecting her.
Max’s fists clenched as he watched Y/n laugh with the guy at the bar. Her smile was radiant, and for a moment, Max forgot how to breathe.
Then the guy leaned closer, and Max saw red.
“You okay?” Y/n asked when Max stalked over, her brows knitting in concern.
“Fine,” he said tightly, his gaze flicking to the guy. “Who’s this?”
The guy opened his mouth to respond, but Max cut him off. “You should go.”
“Max!” Y/n hissed, her eyes widening.
The guy frowned but quickly walked away, muttering something under his breath.
“What the hell was that?” Y/n demanded, crossing her arms.
“He was bothering you,” Max said, his jaw clenching.
“He wasn’t bothering me,” she snapped. “He was nice. And now he thinks I’m some helpless girl with an overprotective brother.”
Max flinched at the word brother. “I was just looking out for you.”
“I don’t need you to scare off every guy I talk to!” she said, her voice rising.
Max looked away, guilt twisting in his stomach. “I’m sorry,” he muttered.
Y/n sighed, her expression softening. “Just...let me handle it next time, okay?”
“Okay,” he said quietly, though he knew there wouldn’t be a next time.
Because no one would ever be good enough for her.
Max remembered the night he realized he was in love with her.
They had been eighteen, sitting on the hood of his car under a blanket of stars. It was one of the rare nights he wasn’t on the road, and she had insisted on taking him out to the middle of nowhere to remind him what quiet felt like.
“Do you ever think about the future?” she had asked, her voice soft and wistful.
“Sometimes,” he had admitted, though the future was always a blur to him—races, championships, the never-ending grind.
“I think about it all the time,” she had said, her eyes shining as she looked at the sky. “Where we’ll be, what we’ll be doing...if we’ll still be here together.”
“Of course we will,” he had said without hesitation.
She had smiled then, the kind of smile that made his heart ache, and he realized in that moment that he wanted to see that smile every day for the rest of his life.
But he had been too afraid to say anything, too afraid to ruin what they had. And as the years passed, that fear only grew.
Max didn’t deserve her, but that didn’t stop him from wanting her.
He wanted her laugh, her touch, her presence in every corner of his life. He wanted to wake up to her sleepy smile and fall asleep with her head on his chest. He wanted to tell her how much she meant to him, how much he loved her, how he would give anything to be the man she deserved.
But he couldn’t.
Because she deserved better.
And so he kept his feelings locked away, hidden beneath layers of unspoken words and longing glances.
There were moments when he thought about what it would be like to be with her, really be with her.
He thought about holding her hand in public, about introducing her as his girlfriend instead of his best friend. He thought about what it would be like to kiss her, to wake up beside her, to call her his.
But then the doubts crept in, the fear that he would ruin her, that his demons would drag her down with him.
She was too good for him, too pure, too kind. Those thoughts were dangerous, and Max knew better than to indulge them.
Max shifted on the couch, pulling back to look at her.
“Thank you,” he said softly, his voice rough with emotion.
She frowned, tilting her head. “For what?”
“For everything,” he said, his eyes searching hers. “For always being here. For putting up with me. For...everything.”
She smiled, and it was like the sun breaking through the clouds. “You don’t have to thank me, Max. You know I’d do anything for you.”
And that was the problem.
She would do anything for him, and he would let her, even though he knew he didn’t deserve it.
Max didn’t sleep that night.
He never could when the weight of his emotions threatened to suffocate him, and tonight, it felt heavier than ever. He stayed where he was, his shoulder stiff but unwilling to move and disturb her peaceful slumber. Y/n deserved her rest—she had flown halfway across the world just for him. She always did.
The next morning, Y/n was awake before him, bustling quietly around the small hotel room. Max cracked his eyes open, watching her from where he lay. She had always been a morning person, though he didn’t know how she managed it after such long flights and sleepless nights.
“Good morning,” she said softly, noticing his gaze.
Her voice was warm, soothing, and it wrapped around him like a blanket.
“Morning,” he replied, his voice thick with sleep.
Y/n walked over, holding out a cup of coffee. Max took it gratefully, his fingers brushing against hers. The touch was brief but enough to send a spark up his arm, one he tried desperately to ignore.
“Feeling better?” she asked, sitting down beside him.
He nodded, though it was a lie. He felt worse, if anything, but he wouldn’t tell her that. He couldn’t.
“You didn’t have to stay,” he said quietly, staring into his coffee.
“I wanted to,” she replied, her tone leaving no room for argument.
Max turned to look at her, his chest tightening at the sight of her soft smile. She always looked at him like that, like he was the most important person in her world. And maybe he was.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. Max had meetings and obligations, and Y/n trailed behind him, her presence quiet but comforting.
It wasn’t until they returned to his hotel room that evening that the tension in his chest began to ease.
Y/n curled up on the couch, her legs tucked beneath her as she scrolled through her phone. Max sat beside her, close enough that their shoulders touched. He could feel the warmth radiating from her, and it was enough to make his heart ache.
“I should head back tomorrow,” she said after a while, her voice hesitant.
Max’s stomach twisted at the thought. He didn’t want her to leave—not yet, not ever—but he knew he couldn’t ask her to stay.
“Do you have to?” he asked, his voice quieter than he intended.
Y/n turned to look at him, her eyes soft. “I’ve been gone from work too long already, Max. I can’t keep disappearing every time you need me.”
The words weren’t meant to hurt, but they did.
“I know,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “But I’ll miss you.”
Her expression softened further, and she reached out, her hand resting gently on his. “I’ll miss you too.”
Max didn’t want to let her go, but the next morning, he found himself standing in the lobby, watching as she prepared to leave.
“Call me if you need anything,” she said, her voice firm. “I mean it, Max.”
“I will,” he promised, though they both knew he hated calling her. He hated being a burden, hated pulling her away from her life.
She hugged him tightly, her arms wrapped around his neck. Max held her just as tightly, his hands resting on her back.
“Take care of yourself, okay?” she whispered.
He nodded, though he wasn’t sure he knew how to without her.
Back in Monaco, Kelly was waiting for him. She greeted him with a kiss, and Penelope ran into his arms, her laughter filling the room.
It should have been enough.
And in a way, it was. Max loved Penelope, and he cared for Kelly. But it wasn’t the same. It would never be the same.
That night, as he lay in bed beside Kelly, his mind wandered to Y/n. He wondered what she was doing, if she was thinking about him the way he was thinking about her.
Kelly shifted beside him, her arm draping over his chest. Max stiffened, guilt washing over him.
He wasn’t a cheater, but sometimes, it felt like he was. Max loved Kelly in his own way, but it wasn’t the kind of love that consumed him. It wasn’t the kind of love that made his chest ache and his heart race.
That kind of love was reserved for Y/n, and he knew it always would be.
As long as she was happy, he would endure the ache.
Because she deserved better than him.
And Max Verstappen would rather break his own heart a thousand times than let anyone break hers.

On thin ice ln4
Pairing : Lando Norris x Female Iceskater!Reader
Summary : Lando is jealous of his girlfriend's iceskating partner.
Warnings : Angst, established relationship
The sharp scrape of skates against ice filled the cavernous rink, the sound bouncing off the empty seats and high ceilings. (Y/N) exhaled deeply, her breath clouding the chilly air as she steadied herself. Ethan skated toward her, his movements effortless, his presence as comforting as ever.
“You’re thinking too hard again,” Ethan teased lightly, stopping in front of her.
She gave him a weak smile. “I can’t help it.”
“You don’t need to. You’ve got this.”
He held out his hand, and she took it, their fingers locking with the ease of years spent practicing together. They moved into the opening position of their routine, the soft strains of music echoing through the rink as they began.
Every spin, every lift, every glide was a testament to their hard work, their connection honed over countless hours of practice. Ethan’s hand on her back, his voice low and steady as he guided her through a lift, was nothing new to her. It was simply a part of the dance.
But to Lando, it was something else entirely.
Lando had been her biggest supporter in the beginning. When they first started dating, he’d been captivated by her passion for skating. He admired her dedication, often comparing it to his own drive for Formula 1. They bonded over their shared understanding of sacrifice and ambition, and for a while, it felt like they were unstoppable.
But as their lives grew busier, the cracks began to form.
(Y/N) had always made time for Lando, traveling to his races whenever her schedule allowed. She’d spent hours in the paddock, enduring the chaos and noise just to be there for him. She cheered the loudest when he stood on the podium, comforted him when he didn’t, and never once complained about the toll it took on her own life.
Lando, however, struggled to do the same.
It wasn’t that he didn’t care. He did—deeply. But his jealousy over her partnership with Ethan was a wound that festered, growing more painful with each passing day. He hated the way Ethan’s name was always on her lips, the way she spent more time on the ice with him than she did at home with Lando.
He hated that Ethan got to see her in her element—the part of her life Lando could never truly understand.
The tension between them came to a head one evening when (Y/N) returned from practice later than usual. Lando was waiting for her, his arms crossed as he leaned against the kitchen counter.
“You’re late,” he said, his voice devoid of warmth.
“Practice ran over,” she replied, setting her bag down.
“With Ethan, I assume,” he added, his tone sharp.
(Y/N) sighed, already bracing herself for the argument she knew was coming. “Yes, Lando. With Ethan. Who else would it be?”
“That’s exactly the problem,” he snapped, pushing off the counter. “It’s always Ethan. You spend more time with him than you do with me.”
Her jaw tightened. “Lando, we’ve been over this. He’s my skating partner. That’s all.”
“And I’m supposed to just be okay with that?” he demanded. “You don’t see how weird this is? How it looks?”
She crossed her arms, frustration bubbling to the surface. “How it looks? Lando, this is my career. I’ve been skating with Ethan for years—long before I met you. Why is this suddenly a problem?”
“Because I see the way he looks at you,” Lando shot back. “Like you’re more than just his partner.”
(Y/N)’s heart sank at the accusation, her chest tightening. “That’s not fair. Ethan and I are teammates, nothing more. You’re my boyfriend. Why can’t you trust me?”
“It’s not you I don’t trust,” he admitted, his voice quieter but no less pained.
She stared at him, her tears threatening to spill. “Do you even realize how much I’ve sacrificed for you? How many races I’ve been to, how many times I’ve put you first? And now, when I need your support, all you can do is accuse me of things that aren’t even true?”
His expression faltered, guilt flickering in his eyes, but he didn’t apologize. Instead, he said, “Maybe I’m just tired of feeling like I’m coming second.”
The words hit her like a slap, leaving her speechless. She turned away, unable to look at him. “If you can’t handle my life, then maybe you shouldn’t be in it.”
For a moment, the room was silent. Then Lando grabbed his jacket, his movements abrupt.
“Fine,” he said coldly. “Maybe I shouldn’t.”
The sound of the door slamming behind him echoed in the empty apartment, leaving her standing alone, her chest heaving as silent tears streamed down her face.
—
The day of the competition arrived, but (Y/N) felt hollow. The weight of Lando’s absence pressed heavily on her chest as she laced up her skates backstage. Ethan sat beside her, his presence steady and comforting.
“You ready?” he asked, his voice calm.
She nodded, though her hands trembled as she tied the final knot. “Yeah. Let’s do this.”
The arena was packed, the cheers of the crowd echoing off the high ceilings as they stepped onto the ice. She scanned the stands instinctively, half-hoping to see Lando’s familiar face. But he wasn’t there.
The music began, and she forced herself to focus, moving through the opening steps with precision. But her mind betrayed her, Lando’s words echoing in her head. “Maybe I’m just tired of feeling like I’m coming second.”
Her foot slipped slightly during a turn, the mistake small but glaring to her trained eye. Ethan caught her immediately, his grip firm as he whispered, “I’ve got you.”
They continued, but the mistakes kept coming—hesitant steps, uneven spins, moments of faltering confidence. Each one felt like another crack in her resolve, the tears she’d been holding back threatening to spill.
By the time the routine ended, her face was damp with tears. Ethan kept her close as they bowed, his hand squeezing hers in silent reassurance.
Backstage, (Y/N) sank onto a bench, her head in her hands as the adrenaline faded. Ethan sat beside her, his voice soft as he said, “You did great.”
She shook her head, her voice breaking. “I messed up.”
“No one noticed,” he said firmly. “You were incredible.”
But his words did little to soothe the ache in her chest.
When she returned home that night, she found Lando sitting on the couch, his elbows resting on his knees. He looked up as she walked in, his eyes heavy with guilt.
“I saw your routine,” he said quietly. “You looked beautiful out there.”
Her chest tightened as she dropped her bag by the door. “But you weren’t there.”
“I didn’t think you’d want me there after the fight,” he admitted, his voice breaking.
Her tears spilled over as she stepped closer. “I always want you there, Lando. Even when we fight, even when I’m angry, I need you to be there. But tonight, you weren’t. And it broke me.”
He stood, reaching for her hands. “I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I let my jealousy get in the way, and I should have been there. You deserved better.”
She shook her head, her voice trembling. “Do you even realize how much I’ve given for you? And the one time I needed you, you weren’t there.”
His voice was thick with emotion as he said, “I know. I’ll do whatever it takes to make it right.”
She stepped back, the pain in her chest unbearable. “I don’t know if you can, Lando.”
Her words hung in the air, heavy and final, as she turned away, leaving him standing alone in the quiet apartment.

Hello! How are you? Can I lose for a reader with chronic leg pain? After an accident they chose not to amputate their leg and they feel very strong pain and were recommended by doctors to use marijuana and the reader kind of doesn't tell Jason? 🌸🌸🌸🌸
You smoke?
Jason Todd x Reader
wc: 0.6 K summary: Jason finds you smoking weed for medical purposes warnings: use of weeds, fluff, mentions of chronic pain a/n: I'm good, thank you!!! I won't put any pretty pictures in here because I'm afraid of it getting taken down😭😭😭but the divider is really pretty (here): @animatedglittergraphics-n-more, also sorry this came out so short, enjoy!!
After moving in with Jason, you didn‘t think of telling him about the weed. It was necessary, so you feel sure that he won‘t mind if you get to tell him one day. As usual, you build a joint on a peaceful evening, and settle yourself on the balcony. You watch as the busy streets of Gotham fill with hundreds of cars, passing by under your balcony and create a rather relaxing atmosphere. Finally, you take a drag and exhale slowly, waiting for the drug to work.
The first drag feels like a relief, feeling light tingles across your body for a moment before you relax into the chair. You take the moment to calm down and close your eyes, to forget about everything around you. The rough back pain that was lingering on you, slowly fades into the background, finally starting to enjoy the light breeze around you.
It works, after a few more drags, however you jump up at the big figure beside you, not having noticed it before. You act on instinct and throw the lit joint at it, seeing how it falls to the floor after hitting its chest.
Jason keeps his eyes on you behind his mask, staying as still as possible. He doesn‘t know how to react, thousands of thoughts racing through his mind, many of them being possible worst case scenarios.
Before he could think of something to say, you exhale and speak up, realising who it is.
»Jesus, don‘t scare me like that… I was just taking some drags, no need to give me a bad trip.« You mumble out and get off the chair with a low groan, suddenly not as relaxed as before. Jason keeps standing in front of you, finally gathering his thoughts.
»Since when… why do you smoke that?«
You pay attention to him, realising you still haven‘t told him about it. Sure, he knows all about your chronic back pain and how it came to that, but he doesn‘t seem to connect the dots.
So, you try to explain as best as you can, while being high.
»I, uh… you know, my back? The pain? I have to… to smoke because of that. Doctor told me, I have two doctors, one to give advice for the best weed and the other—«
»The best weed? What, is he a drug dealer or something?« Jason interrupts, gently guiding you back inside with his hand on your lower back.
His retort made you chuckle, resulting into a brief giggle-fit before being serious again.
»No… maybe. I don‘t know, but it works. Really, I‘m not joking, I tried to tell you before, but… never came to that.« You shrug and slowly sit down on the couch. He follows suit.
»And how long have you been doing this? How many times a week?«
You think briefly before answering him, easing his nerves at the same time.
»Only when the pain becomes unbereable, like now. So… probably, like, about every three months. Once, I mean.« He nods in thought and sighs out in relief, finally taking his mask off after hearing your reply. Jason was genuinenly afraid this was something you struggled with and was a serious problem he somehow didn‘t take notice of before.
Seems like there‘s nothing to worry about after all. He carries you to bed and gets out of his suit before joining you in bed and caressing his hands over your back soothingly. You end up falling asleep in no time, curled up against his chest and dreaming about whatever your high brain comes up with.
a/n: i think he would be really scared when he catches you smoking, but he is an understanding man, so there's nothing much to worry about. maybe he'll try to sneak in 'healthier' methods whenever you're in pain

The sun cast a warm glow over the university lawn, where M/n and his two best friends, Jiho and Minseo, sat cross-legged on the grass. Their lunchboxes laid open, and the air was filled with laughter and the scent of freshly baked bread from a nearby food cart. It was a Thursday afternoon, and the group of friends had just met up for the first time this week for lunch.
“Did you finish Professor Kim’s reading?” Minseo asked, biting into a rice ball.
“Nope, fuck that seriously,” M/n replied, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. “He assigns way too much for one week.”
Minseo hummed. “True dat.”
Jiho, scrolling on his phone, suddenly let out a loud gasp, aggressively slapping M/n’s shoulder in excitement. “Oh my God! No way!”
Both M/n and Minseo turned toward him, startled.
“What, you psycho bitch?” Minseo asked, her curiosity piqued yet annoyed at how loud Jiho was shrieking like he had no home training.
Jiho shoved his phone in their faces, the screen displaying a social media post with bold letters: Surprise! Stray Kids will be performing at Hanseong University today at 3 PM.
M/n froze, his heart leaping into his throat. He quickly schooled his expression, pretending to be indifferent. “That’s cool, I guess,” he said with a shrug, taking a sip of his drink.
“Cool?” Jiho exclaimed, nearly spilling his coffee to slap the back of M/n’s head. “Bitch, are you sick? This is Stray Kids! Do you not understand the seriousness of this ordeal?”
Minseo chuckled. “Ain’t never used ‘ordeal’ in your life, scholar.” Jiho sucked his teeth at Minseo.
M/n forced a smile, his thoughts racing. Why didn’t he tell me? Chan, his boyfriend and the leader of Stray Kids, had conveniently left out this major detail during their last phone call.
“We have to go early!” Jiho said, already packing up his lunch. “I want to get a good spot.”
“I guess I’ll go too,” Minseo added. “M/n, you’re coming, right?”
M/n hesitated. “Uh, yeah, I gotta go to the bathroom first.”
Jiho and Minseo groaned in unison. “Go piss, girl,” Minseo teased.
“We’ll try and save you a seat, but I can’t promise if Seungmin wants it first. Or maybe he can sit in my lap…” Jiho pondered, biting his lip in a weird, horny kinda way.
M/n laughed nervously, fidgeting with the strap of his backpack. “I’ll catch up.”
Quickly, M/n rushed off. His mind was spinning. He wasn’t mad that Chan hadn’t told him, and he understood the need for secrecy, but being blindsided like this made his heart race with anxiety. What if his friends put two and two together? What if someone saw them?
Reaching the side door of the main building, M/n glanced over his shoulder. The campus was alive with energy as students gathered in clusters, buzzing with excitement for the upcoming performance.
Inside, the hallways were quieter, the faint hum of conversation drifting from nearby rooms. M/n spotted a staff member carrying a clipboard and quickly ducked behind a pillar, holding his breath until the coast was clear.
He made his way toward the room labeled Stray Kids in bold black letters on a laminated sign. His hand hesitated on the doorknob before he knocked softly.
“Come in,” came a familiar voice.
M/n stepped inside, shutting the door quickly behind him. The room was small and bustling with energy, racks of clothes lined one wall, and makeup cases were strewn across a long table. But in the middle of it all stood Chan, wearing a casual yet stylish outfit, his hair perfectly styled, and a look of surprise spreading across his face.
“M/n?” Chan crossed the room in two quick strides, his tone a mix of confusion and joy. “What are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same thing,” M/n replied, his voice low but tinged with a little nervousness as he looked around at the people passing by. “You didn’t think to warn me you’d be performing at my fuckin’ university? What if we get caught here?”
Chan quickly whisked M/n away, placing his hands on his shoulders and guiding him to a smaller room in the back. This space was more private, with only a counter and a few chairs.
M/n leaned against the dressing room counter with his arms crossed in a pout.
Chan put his hands on both sides of M/n’s hips, his thumbs circling gently on the little bit of exposed skin between his shirt and jeans. “It was supposed to be a surprise. Management didn’t finalize it until yesterday, and I figured you’d find out anyway.”
“Well, surprise,” M/n said, his voice clearly more scared about getting caught than about blaming Chan for not saying anything. “Now I’m here freaking out, trying to make sure none of my friends figure out I’m dating you.”
Chan softened, his hand reaching out to gently touch M/n’s cheek. “Baby, don’t be like that. I didn’t mean to stress you out. I just… wanted to see you.”
M/n sighed, his irritation melting under Chan’s warm gaze. “You’re lucky I like you.”
Chan grinned. “I know.”
Chan’s grin softened as he leaned in closer, his forehead gently pressing against M/n’s. “You have no idea how much I’ve missed you.” M/n felt his heart flutter in his chest, the warmth of Chan’s breath fanning against his lips. Despite his nerves, he couldn’t stop the small smile that crept onto his face.
“You just saw me last week, drama queen.”
Chan chuckled, his voice dropping to a low murmur. “A week feels like forever when it comes to you.”
Before M/n could respond, Chan closed the distance, capturing his lips in a kiss that sent a rush of heat coursing through his body. It started gentle, as if Chan was savoring the moment, but the longing between them quickly took over.
Chan’s hands slid from M/n’s hips to wrap securely around his waist, pulling him closer until their bodies were flush against each other. M/n’s hands found their way to Chan’s chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt as he kissed back with equal fervor.
The world outside the small dressing room seemed to melt away. The muffled voices and distant chatter from the hallway faded, leaving only the sound of their breaths and the soft hum of their hearts racing in tandem.
Chan tilted his head, deepening the kiss, his hands roaming up and down M/n’s back in soothing yet possessive strokes. M/n’s resolve crumbled, and he let out a quiet, involuntary whimper against Chan’s lips.
That sound seemed to ignite something in Chan. He pressed M/n back gently against the counter, his lips moving with a desperation that spoke of every moment they’d spent apart. His fingers tangled in M/n’s hair, tilting his head to gain better access, and M/n melted into him completely.
When they finally broke apart for air, their foreheads rested together, both of them breathing heavily. Chan’s gaze was intense, his eyes dark with affection and want.
“I love you,” he whispered, his voice hoarse but steady. “I don’t care where we are or who’s around. I’ll always want to kiss you like that.”
M/n felt his cheeks flush, his hands still clutching Chan’s shirt. “You’re so corny,” he mumbled, but the soft smile on his face betrayed the truth, he loved every second of it.
Chan grinned, his thumb brushing against M/n’s bottom lip. “And you love it.”
M/n didn’t deny it. Instead, he pulled Chan down for another kiss, this one slow and tender, a promise of all the stolen moments they’d share, no matter how complicated their situation might be.
M/n felt the heat rising between them as Chan leaned back into him, his lips finding their way to the corner of M/n’s mouth, then down along his jawline. Each touch sent a spark through M/n, his breath hitching as Chan’s lips traveled to his neck, leaving a trail of featherlight kisses that grew bolder with each press.
“Channie,” M/n whispered that nickname that always made Chan weak, his voice trembling with both urgency and affection.
Chan hummed against his skin, the vibration sending shivers down M/n’s spine. “Hmm?” he murmured, his lips brushing against the sensitive spot just below M/n’s ear.
“You’re going to leave a mark,” M/n warned, though his voice lacked any real conviction.
Chan chuckled softly, the sound low and sultry. “Would that be such a bad thing?” he teased, his hands tightening on M/n’s waist.
M/n pushed at his chest lightly, his cheeks flushed. “Yes, it would! My friends would definitely notice.”
Chan pulled back just enough to look at him, his eyes sparkling with mischief and affection. “Fine, no marks… not right now at least,” he conceded with a cheeky grin, leaning in for another kiss that was slower, deeper, and impossibly more intoxicating.
M/n sighed into the kiss, his hands sliding up to Chan’s shoulders, gripping them tightly as if to anchor himself. Chan tilted his head, his lips moving against M/n’s with a rhythm that felt natural, effortless, like they’d been made for this exact moment.
The kiss grew hungrier, more desperate, as if the limited time they had together only fueled the need to make every second count. Chan’s hands slid down M/n’s back, resting just above his hips as he pressed them even closer together, their bodies fitting like pieces of a puzzle.
M/n felt the counter digging into his back, but he didn’t care. All he could focus on was the way Chan’s lips moved against his, the way his hands explored his body with a careful yet insistent touch, the way his entire being seemed to drown in Chan’s presence.
Their kiss broke only when the need for air became too great, but even then, Chan stayed close, their noses brushing as their breaths mingled.
“I wish we didn’t have to hide,” Chan said softly, his voice tinged with a rare vulnerability.
M/n’s heart clenched at the admission. He reached up to cup Chan’s cheek, his thumb brushing gently against his skin. “Me too,” he admitted. “But as long as I have you, I can deal with the rest.”
Chan smiled, leaning into M/n’s touch. “You’re too good to me.”
“And don’t you forget it,” M/n replied with a teasing grin, though his tone was filled with affection.
Chan chuckled, stealing one last lingering kiss before finally pulling back, though his arms stayed wrapped securely around M/n’s waist. “I guess I should let you go before your friends send out a search party.”
M/n groaned, reluctant to step away. “Yeah, I guess… but this isn’t over.”
Chan smirked, his gaze full of promise. “Not even close.”
M/n reluctantly pulled away, smoothing his shirt and adjusting his glasses as he tried to compose himself. His heart was still racing, and his lips tingled from Chan’s kisses, but he needed to act normal—at least normal enough to fool Jiho and Minseo.
“You’ll be watching, right?” Chan asked, his voice softer now.
M/n hesitated, biting his lip. “I’ll try. Jiho and Minseo are expecting me to sit with them, so I can’t make it obvious.”
Chan nodded, understanding written all over his face. “Just… stay close if you can,” he said, reaching out to squeeze M/n’s hand briefly. “It’ll be nice knowing you’re there.”
M/n smiled despite his nerves. “I’ll be there. Just don’t get too distracted by my handsome face.”
Chan laughed quietly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “No promises.”
With one last lingering glance, M/n slipped out of the makeshift dressing room, carefully closing the door behind him. The hallway was still relatively empty, though the muffled sound of voices and footsteps indicated that students were already gathering for the performance.
M/n took a deep breath, his hand lingering on the doorknob for a moment before he stepped away. He couldn’t afford to look suspicious.
As he walked back toward the outdoor venue, the hum of excitement grew louder. Groups of students were chatting animatedly, and some were already seated near the stage, phones in hand, ready to record every moment.
Spotting Jiho and Minseo wasn’t hard as they were near the middle of the crowd, Jiho waving his arms wildly to flag M/n down.
“There you are!” Jiho exclaimed as M/n approached. “Took you long enough. What, did you fall in?”
“Something like that,” M/n replied with a shrug, slipping into the spot they’d saved for him.
Minseo handed him a bottle of water, her eyes narrowing slightly. “You okay? You look kind of flustered.”
“I’m fine,” M/n said quickly, taking a sip of water to cover his nerves. “It’s just hot out here.”
Jiho fanned himself dramatically with his hand. “Girl, same. But who cares? We’re about to see Stray Kids! Can you believe it? Like, right here! This is history in the making. Maybe our school isn’t so shit after all.”
M/n forced a laugh, his stomach flipping at the thought of seeing Chan on stage while sitting among his friends, who had no idea about their relationship.
As the minutes ticked by, the crowd grew larger, and the excitement became palpable. When the emcee finally took the stage to introduce Stray Kids, the cheers were deafening. M/n felt his pulse quicken as he prepared for what was about to happen.
The lights dimmed slightly, and the opening beats of a familiar song filled the air. Then, there they were… Stray Kids, stepping onto the stage with the kind of confidence and charisma that could command any crowd.
M/n’s eyes immediately found Chan, who stood at the center, his presence magnetic. Chan’s gaze briefly scanned the crowd, and though M/n knew it was impossible for him to pick him out among so many people, he still felt a jolt when their eyes seemed to meet for a split second.
Jiho was screaming next to him, clutching Minseo’s arm in excitement. “Oh my God, look at Bang Chan! He’s so fucking hot!”
M/n bit his lip to suppress a smile, his cheeks heating up. If only Jiho knew.
As the performance continued, M/n couldn’t help but admire Chan. He was in his element, his movements fluid and precise, his voice commanding and powerful. It was a side of him M/n didn’t often get to see up close, and it made him fall for him all over again.
But amidst the thrill of the performance, M/n couldn’t shake the anxiety bubbling under the surface. What if someone noticed the way Chan looked at him? What if someone figured out their connection?
He forced himself to focus on the music, clapping and cheering along with his friends. For now, he just had to get through the show without raising any suspicion.
The campus was still buzzing with excitement from Stray Kids’ performance. Students milled about in groups, their chatter echoing across the quad. M/n kept his head down, weaving through the crowd as casually as he could. His heart pounded in his chest, not from excitement but from nerves.
When he reached the side gate leading to the quiet garden behind the art building, he glanced over his shoulder to make sure no one was watching. The garden was one of the most secluded spots on campus, a hidden oasis with benches tucked under canopies of leafy trees.
Chan was already there, leaning against the trunk of a tree, his hoodie pulled low over his face. Even in the dim light, M/n could see the tension in his posture.
“Chan,” M/n called softly, stepping closer.
Chan’s head snapped up, and a relieved smile broke across his face. “M/n.”
Before M/n could say anything, Chan closed the distance between them, pulling him into a tight hug. The world seemed to fade away as Chan’s familiar warmth surrounded him, grounding him in the moment.
“That was the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life,” Chan murmured against M/n’s hair. “I don’t like pretending I don’t know you.”
M/n pulled back just enough to look up at him, his brows furrowed. “It was just for a moment, we’re all good now”
Chan cupped M/n’s face in his hands, his thumbs brushing gently over his cheeks. “I know. I didn’t think it through, and I’m sorry. I just… wanted to see you. It’s been weeks, and when this opportunity came up, I couldn’t pass it up.”
M/n sighed, his irritation softening under Chan’s earnest gaze. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
Chan chuckled softly. “I’ve been told.”
For a moment, they stood there in the quiet garden, the distant hum of campus life fading into the background. Chan’s hands slid down to M/n’s shoulders, his touch light but grounding.
“I missed you,” Chan admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
M/n’s heart softened. He reached up, his hand resting over Chan’s on his shoulder. “I missed you too.”
Chan leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to M/n’s forehead, lingering there for a moment. “You’ve been on my mind every day,” he murmured. “I know this isn’t easy for you, but I’m grateful. For you, for us.”
M/n felt a lump rise in his throat. He tilted his head to meet Chan’s gaze, his lips twitching into a small smile. “Just… don’t surprise me like this again, okay?”
Chan grinned, his dimples showing even in the low light. “Promise. No more surprises.”
They shared a soft laugh, the tension melting away as the moment stretched between them. M/n felt a sense of calm wash over him, the chaos of the day fading into the background.
“Stay for a bit?” Chan asked, his voice hopeful.
M/n glanced toward the path leading back to the main campus, then back at Chan. “A little longer,” he said, his voice quiet but sure.
And for the first time that day, M/n allowed himself to relax, leaning into Chan’s embrace as the world outside the garden faded away. The peaceful silence of the garden was abruptly shattered by the sound of approaching voices. M/n froze, his heart skipping a beat as he recognized the unmistakable laughter of Minseo and Jiho.
“Didn’t you say you saw him come this way?” Jiho’s voice rang out, closer than M/n would have liked.
“I swear he’s hiding something,” Minseo replied. “He bolted like his ass was on fire.”
Chan tensed, his hands still on M/n’s shoulders. “Who is that?” he whispered.
“My friends,” M/n hissed, panic lacing his voice. He grabbed Chan’s arm, pulling him toward a thicker cluster of trees. “Hide!”
But before they could move far, Minseo’s sharp eyes caught them. “M/n? Is that you?”
M/n’s stomach dropped as both Minseo and Jiho rounded the corner of the garden path, their expressions shifting from confusion to wide-eyed shock.
“M/n,” Jiho started, his gaze flicking between M/n and the man standing too close to him. “Why does that guy look exactly like—”
“Bang Chan?!” Minseo practically shrieked, pointing an accusatory finger.
M/n’s brain short-circuited as he stood frozen, caught red-handed. Chan, to his credit, didn’t flinch. Instead, he straightened up and offered a sheepish smile.
“Uh, hi,” Chan said, scratching the back of his neck.
Jiho gawked at him, his jaw practically on the ground. “What the fuck is happening right now?!”
Minseo’s eyes narrowed, zeroing in on M/n. “You’ve been sneaking around with Bang Chan? THE Bang Chan?!”
“I—uh—” M/n stammered, his face burning.
“Wait, are you two like… dating?” Jiho asked, his voice a mix of disbelief and giddy excitement.
M/n opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He felt like a deer caught in headlights.
Chan stepped in, his voice calm and steady. “Yes. We are.”
Minseo’s jaw dropped. Jiho let out an audible gasp, covering his mouth like he’d just heard the juiciest gossip of the year.
“You mean to tell me,” Minseo started, her hands on her hips, “that you’ve been dating Bang Chan this whole time, and you didn’t say a damn word?”
“It’s complicated,” M/n mumbled, avoiding their gazes.
Jiho burst into laughter, startling everyone. “Complicated? That’s the understatement of the century! Dude, you’re dating a literal K-pop idol!”
Minseo, on the other hand, was still processing. “I’m just mad you didn’t tell us. We’re your best friends, M/n.”
“I couldn’t,” M/n said, his voice barely above a whisper. “It’s not just my secret to tell.”
Minseo softened slightly, her expression shifting from anger to understanding. “I get it. But you should’ve trusted us.”
Chan stepped closer to M/n, his hand brushing against his arm in silent reassurance. “I asked him to keep it private,” he explained. “We’re trying to protect what we have. It’s not easy with my career.”
Jiho looked at them both, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “You know what? I ship it. Power couple vibes. But you owe us details, M/n.”
Minseo rolled her eyes but smiled. “Fine. But don’t think you’re off the hook. We’re having a long talk about this later.”
M/n exhaled in relief, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Thanks, guys.”
Minseo nodded. “Just… be careful. And Chan? You better treat him right.”
Chan grinned, his dimples on full display. “Always.”
The tension eased as the group exchanged a few more words, and M/n realized that while his secret was out, maybe it wasn’t the worst thing after all.
As Minseo and Jiho walked off, their voices fading into the distance, M/n let out a long, exasperated sigh, leaning against the tree. He covered his face with his hands, his ears still burning from embarrassment.
“That was awkward,” M/n muttered.
Chan chuckled softly, stepping closer and nudging M/n’s shoulder. “Awkward, sure, but your friends are pretty great.”
M/n peeked at him through his fingers. “Great? Jiho almost fainted, and Minseo was ready to kill me.”
Chan grinned, his dimples making a playful appearance. “Yeah, but they care about you. That much is obvious. And I like that about them.”
M/n lowered his hands, a reluctant smile creeping onto his face. “You’re just saying that because they didn’t hate your guts.”
“Maybe.” Chan’s voice softened, his eyes locking onto M/n’s. His expression shifted, the playful glint replaced with something deeper, more tender. “But seriously, they’re good people. And they love you.”
M/n felt his heart flutter under Chan’s gaze, the intensity of it making his stomach flip. He looked away, biting his lip to suppress a shy grin.
Chan tilted his head, stepping even closer until their faces were mere inches apart. His hand reached out, brushing a strand of hair from M/n’s forehead. “Well, since we don’t have to hide anymore…”
M/n barely had time to process the words before Chan leaned in, capturing his lips in a slow, deliberate kiss. Unlike before, this wasn’t rushed or frantic. It was deep and consuming, filled with all the emotions they’d had to suppress for so long.
Chan’s hands found M/n’s waist, pulling him closer, while M/n’s fingers instinctively gripped the front of Chan’s hoodie. The world around them melted away—the garden, the university, the lingering nerves—all replaced by the warmth of each other.
M/n sighed into the kiss, his body relaxing as he leaned into Chan. He felt the gentle pressure of Chan’s hands sliding up his back, holding him securely as if he never wanted to let go.
When they finally broke apart, both were slightly breathless, their foreheads resting together. Chan smiled, his thumb gently stroking M/n’s side. “I’ve been wanting to do that without worrying who’s watching.”
M/n laughed softly, his voice shaky but filled with warmth. “That’s gonna take some getting used to.”
Chan’s grin widened. “We’ll figure it out. Together.”
M/n nodded, his cheeks flushed but his heart full. “Together.”
They stood there for a moment longer, lost in their own little world, before the sound of distant chatter reminded them of where they were.
Chan smirked, taking M/n’s hand in his. “Come on. Let’s get out of here before your friends come back for round two.”
M/n rolled his eyes but didn’t let go of Chan’s hand, following him out of the garden with a newfound sense of freedom.

The wind whipped through your hair as you stepped off the bus, your fingers gripping the strap of your bag like a lifeline. You had no idea where you were going, you only knew you couldn’t go back. The weight of his words still sat heavily on your chest, suffocating and raw.
Your phone buzzed in your pocket. With a shaky hand, you pulled it out. Sunghoon’s name flashed on the screen.
You hesitated before answering. “Hey…” Your voice cracked.
“Y/N?” Sunghoon’s tone was immediately alert. “Where are you?”
“I don’t know,” you admitted, glancing around at the unfamiliar street. “I just needed to get away.”
There was a pause on the other end before he spoke again, firm and steady. “Stay where you are. I’m coming to get you.”
You didn’t argue. You didn’t have the strength to.
The headlights of Sunghoon’s car cut through the darkness as he pulled up. He stepped out quickly, his brows furrowed with worry as he scanned your face. Without a word, he opened the passenger door and gestured for you to get in.
The ride was silent, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Sunghoon didn’t press you for details, giving you the space you so desperately needed. Instead, he let the soft hum of the radio fill the quiet, the melody soothing in its simplicity.
When you arrived at his apartment, he handed you a pair of his sweats and a hoodie. “Go get comfortable,” he said. “I’ll make us some tea.”
By the time you emerged from the bathroom, the tension in your shoulders slightly eased, Sunghoon was waiting on the couch with two steaming mugs. A plate of cookies—your favorite kind—sat on the table beside him.
“You remembered these?” you asked, a small, surprised smile tugging at your lips.
“Of course,” he said, grinning. “They’ve always been your favorite. Thought they might help.”
The simple gesture brought warmth to your chest. You curled up beside him, pulling the blanket he had draped over the back of the couch around your shoulders.
When you finally started to talk, the words came tumbling out in a rush. “I stayed too long. I thought I could fix it—I thought I could fix him. But all I did was lose myself in the process.”
Your voice cracked, and you stared down at your mug, your fingers trembling. “He made me feel like I wasn’t enough. Like I was hard to love.”
Sunghoon’s jaw tightened, his knuckles whitening as he gripped his mug. But when he spoke, his voice was calm, gentle. “Y/N, listen to me. You were never the problem. You are more than enough—he just couldn’t see it. That’s on him, not you.”
Tears welled in your eyes, spilling over before you could stop them. “Why do I feel so broken, then?”
“You’re not broken,” he said, leaning closer. “You’re hurt, but you’re still here. And that means you’re stronger than you think.”
His words wrapped around you like a shield, offering you the strength you couldn’t find in yourself. For the first time in what felt like forever, you allowed yourself to cry—really cry—without holding back. Sunghoon moved closer, pulling you into his arms. His embrace was steady and warm, his fingers gently brushing through your hair soothingly as he let you fall apart in the safety of his presence.
The next morning, you woke up to the smell of something sweet. You shuffled into the kitchen to find Sunghoon standing at the stove, flipping pancakes.
“You’re making breakfast?” you asked, your voice still hoarse from crying.
He turned to you with a small smile. “You didn’t eat much last night. Thought you might be hungry.”
Something about his quiet thoughtfulness made your chest tighten. You sat at the counter, watching him move around the kitchen with ease.
“Why are you so good to me?” you asked softly.
He paused, setting a plate of pancakes in front of you. “Because you deserve it,” he said simply. “And because I care about you. A lot.”
Your breath hitched. Sunghoon had always been there for you, always steady and unwavering, but hearing him say it aloud was different.
Later that week, Sunghoon surprised you with a movie night. But it wasn’t just any movie night—he’d pulled out all the stops. Fairy lights were strung up around his living room, a makeshift fort made of blankets and pillows dominating the space.
“What is this?” you asked, laughing in surprise.
He shrugged, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. “I figured you could use some fun. Plus, I know you’ve always loved blanket forts.”
The childlike wonder of it all made your heart swell. As the two of you settled into the fort, a bowl of popcorn between you, Sunghoon handed you a mug of hot chocolate topped with an impressive amount of marshmallows.
“This is ridiculous,” you said, laughing as you took a sip.
“But you’re smiling,” he pointed out, grinning. “So, it’s worth it.”
One snowy afternoon, the two of you decided to go for a walk in the park. The world was blanketed in white, and the air was crisp and quiet.
At some point, Sunghoon bent down and scooped up a handful of snow. You barely had time to react before he tossed it lightly in your direction, hitting your shoulder.
“Did you just—?” you began, narrowing your eyes at him.
“Gotta be faster than that,” he teased, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
Before you could think twice, you grabbed a handful of snow and lobbed it at him, laughter bubbling out of you. What started as a playful snowball fight ended with Sunghoon pulling you into a hug to keep you from pelting him with another snowball.
“You’re relentless,” he said, laughing as he looked down at you.
“You started it,” you shot back, grinning.
He didn’t let go right away, and neither did you. For a moment, the world seemed to still, and the warmth in his gaze made your heart skip a beat.
That evening, as you sat on his couch, sharing a blanket and sipping on tea, you turned to him, your voice soft. “Sunghoon?”
“Yeah?” he replied, his eyes locking with yours.
“Thank you,” you said. “For being here. For…everything.”
He smiled gently, his fingers brushing against yours. “You don’t have to thank me. I’m just glad I could be here for you.”
You hesitated, then reached for his hand, intertwining your fingers. “I think I’m starting to see what you’ve been trying to show me. That I can be loved for who I am.”
“You can,” he said, his voice steady. “And you deserve to be.”
As you rested your head on his shoulder, you realized that with Sunghoon by your side, you were finally beginning to heal. And for the first time in a long time, you felt like you were exactly where you were meant to be.

"I'll make sure to do that. Hopefully I'll be able to get a word out before I possibly get covered in slime," Travis replied, "Thanks for the pre-emptive vouching."
"Oh I wasn't going to choose the bike," Antonio said, "I was just going to ensure the money to get the new one would be right there and waiting to be used. But you are right, Rook. You are more important."
"Hell'a beautiful," Bill said, before he sighed, "That time, I was just trying to lighten the mood in general, but to be honest, I don't think I'm feeling it."
Leofric saw the shapes looking his way, but he didn't have much to offer in a way to respond to that. He was just speaking the truth.
"Perhaps so," Leofric said, "Better late than never. But yes, it was a trap. We were led to a crystal that was keeping the ghosts indisposed. But I was trapped with salt, he knew how to trap me and you were... controlled, Rook. Your mother said that part of it is from his toxins, and this had been happening for some time behind our backs."
Antonio however couldn't help look intrigued. So the command was still working. He must have drilled that in harder than he previously thought.
"Yes, he did that," Leofric said, "A couple of times. Unfortunately, after I tried to stall him with a throwable concoction, he was provoked into retaliating and left me with a machine to burn sage and fill the room with its smoke, which is why I'm in this condition now. He then took you to try and kill William."
Bill nodded.
"It was quite the shock to put it mildly," Bill added, "I actually tried to give you a hug and almost burned myself to death."
"Luckily, someone raised the alarm, because Erica and Antonio came to assist me. The poison user had removed his jacket, so I was able to follow his scent to both of you."
"I had gone out to look for you," Bill said, "I got worried after neither you nor Leofric were answering my calls or text messages. I sent a text to Russell and Lucien to tell them what was going on, and soon after Josh and Mark showed up to stop me burning myself to death, Leofric tackled me to the ground, and then Russell turned up with Lucien and his musclehead brother, Travis, was it?"
"Yes, sir," Travis said.
"And then Lucien and Antonio worked to try and get you back," Leofric said, "While Erica, Travis and Russell teamed up to fight the poison user. After we were able to stop you, we did have him surrounded but..."
"I tried to bite him and take all of his blood," Bill admitted, "And as you probably guess from the state of me, that didn't work out so well."
"I really hope so."
Well, he had an important task to tend to now. Lucien watched Russell for a moment, giving a nod of approval before getting to work. He grabbed some carrots, then picked up a particularly large potato. "...We meet again."
He allowed himself a tiny smile before he got to chopping.
"Oh, you'd give the ghosts a really good scare! But it's okay." Erica said, leaning closer, "If you end up in Boo York, tell the ghosts with the slime guns that you're my friend."
"Yes, I'm glad you can sort that out. But do consult my daughter as well. I'm sure she would like to have a choice in the matter this time." Veronica replied.
"Who cares about the bike..." Rook grumbled, before looking up at Bill, "Don't joke your way out of this again. You look like hell."
It was a bit blunt, but she was still concerned. Rook eyed Leofric in a rather deserved way after so shamelessly tapping at the fourth wall. Erica joined right in, feeling her double could use a hand staying focused on the topic while she was having one of her worst headaches ever.
"Yeah, we might be late for the Christmas special now!" the elf said, giving Rook's hand a squeeze, "What's the last thing you remember?"
Rook frowned deeply at the question, all but kicking her mind for drawing a blank. "I... I remember an idiot slapping himself in the face."
Erica shrugged, "Well, that's a start."

Another night, another city, another show, and another random girl he buried himself into. Life as a rockstar was everything Hongjoong ever dreamed of. This night was no different than others "You know what to do... and make sure this one actually looks good up close" Hongjoong shivers at the thoughts of last night. From the stage, the girl looked so fine but when he got to his dressing room... well that was a different story. The staff member nodded before heading out to the crowd as the band finished getting ready.
You stood right in front of the stage, your excitement very evident "Oh my gosh (y/n) I can't believe we got tickets to Ateez!" Your best friend was just as excited as you. "I know right and front row too!" you both were buzzing with anticipation, any minute now the band would come out and be right in front of you. You've heard rumors of the members picking fans to go backstage and tonight you were hoping to be one of them. The screams around you grew louder as the men of the hour poured on stage "Hello everyone! So many pretty faces in the crowd tonight" San screamed into the microphone "Oh my gosh oh my gosh (y/n) Hongjoong is staring right at you" your best friend squeals. You look up and immediately make eye contact with the beloved guitarist. He gives you a little smirk and a wink "Oh he so wants you" she nudges you "Oh please he probably does that to every girl" You roll your eyes at her. The entire show Hongjoong’s gaze kept coming back to you. The way your shirt was cut low enough to show off your cleavage, your tiny little skirt and your thigh high stockings hugging your plush thighs so perfectly. He sent a nod in your direction and the staff members already knew what to do.
As the show came to an end people started to trickle out and just as you were about to leave a man stopped you “Hongjoong would like to invite you backstage” the man said looking straight at you. Your eyes widen, shocked that he chose you “Oh my gosh (y/n)" “wha- are you sure it’s me?” You ask in disbelief “yes ma’am” the man replies monotonously, it’s not the first time he’s heard this “Well I can’t just leave you” "Go go go. I'll be fine" She encouraged you. You follow the man as he guides you through chaotic mess backstage. He opens the door to what had to be Hongjoong’s dressing room "Wait in here." the staff member told you before closing the door. You looked around noticing the space was surprisingly messy although you weren't really sure what you were expecting. The door swings open suddenly and you're face to face the man you've been in love with for 2 years, Kim Hongjoong. He gives you a little smirk "You were the first one I noticed when we came out on stage. Your beauty is very captivating" He's a hell of a sweet talker and you can't help but blush at his words.
He bends you over the makeup table, pulling your skirt up over your ass. You look up to stare at him through the mirror and his dark intense eyes stare back "Fuck I can't wait to see how your sweet ass bounces as I fuck you" You moan at his words, pushing your ass against him feeling his hard cock through his pants. His fingers press into your cloth covered clit causing you to arch your back slightly, a pathetic whine leaving your lips “So reactive” he laughs before freeing himself from his tight leather pants and pushing your panties lazily to the side. He rubs his tip through your folds gathering your slick before pushing it in ever so slightly. A strangled moan leaves your lips when he pushes fully into you. He fucks into you hard, not giving you time to adjust. It’s always been about his pleasure, he’s the one who was out there giving 110% on stage so he should be rewarded right? At least that’s what he thought and nothing was more rewarding to him than good pussy. So far yours was the best, your right walls squeezing him so perfectly and your ass ripples whenever his hips met yours had him fucking relentlessly into your sopping hole.
“Fuck I bet you’ve been dreaming of this haven’t you?” His voice comes out strained from please as he watches you nod dumbly in the mirror. Your fucked out face and the slight drool coming out of your mouth had him tumbling over the edge. He hastily pulls out, ropes of hot cum spurt into your ass and pretty moans escape him.
When he’s done himself over you he reaches over grabbing a few tissues before throwing them on the surface beside you “Go ahead and clean yourself up, someone will be in shortly to walk you out” he says before pulling his pants off completely and pulling on some sweatpants. He walks out without another word leaving you to deal with the mess yourself “Wow. I didn’t even get to cum" You sigh as you whip the sticky cum off. You pull your panties back into place before the door swings open "Come with me, I'll show you to the exit" You follow the security guard ready to tell your best friend about the disappointment you just experienced.

Simon Ghost Riley x you
Part 9
"I want you"
I couldn’t keep living with the lie. Every glance my husband gave me, every moment we spent in the same room, only amplified the guilt I felt. It was unbearable, and yet, part of me resented it—the way he could look at me with love and not see the chaos tearing me apart inside.
That evening, as we sat across from each other at the dinner table, the silence stretched too long. My food sat untouched, and I could feel his eyes on me, his concern palpable.
“What’s going on with you?” he finally asked, his voice soft but steady. “You’ve been different for weeks now. Distant. Is it work? Is it us?”
I swallowed hard, my throat dry. This was it. There was no going back.
“I need to tell you something,” I began, my voice shaking. “And it’s not going to be easy to hear.”
His brow furrowed, his fork clinking against his plate as he set it down. “What is it?”
“I met someone.” The words were out before I could stop them, and the weight of them hung heavy in the air between us. “I didn’t mean for it to happen, but it did. And now…I don’t know what to do.”
His face fell, the color draining from his cheeks. “You…you met someone?” he echoed, his voice breaking. “What does that mean?”
“It means I’ve been unhappy,” I said, tears welling in my eyes. “For a long time. And I didn’t even realize how much until he came into my life.”
The pain in his eyes was devastating, and I hated myself for putting it there. “Do you love him?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I don’t know,” I admitted, the truth as raw as the emotions coursing through me. “But I feel something for him—something I can’t ignore. Something I’ve never felt before.”
He sat back in his chair, his hands running through his hair as he tried to process what I was saying. “So what now?” he asked, his voice tinged with anger and hurt. “Are you leaving me? For him?”
“I don’t know,” I said again, my voice cracking. “But I need to figure it out. I need time to think—to figure out what I want.”
He looked at me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Finally, he nodded, his voice tight. “If you need time, take it. But don’t expect me to wait around forever.”
~~~
The decision to leave wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to see Ghost. I had to talk to him, to understand what this was between us and whether it was worth risking everything for. The thought of flying—something I’d always dreaded—was almost enough to make me turn back. But the pull toward him was stronger than my fear.
The airport was a blur of anxiety and second-guessing. As the plane took off, I gripped the armrests so tightly my knuckles turned white, my heart pounding in my chest. Every second in the air felt like an eternity, but the thought of seeing him kept me grounded.
When the plane finally landed, my legs were shaky, and my nerves were frayed. I clutched my bag as I stepped into the bustling terminal, scanning the crowd for any sign of him.
And then I saw him. Standing near the exit, his tall frame unmistakable, his mask in place. Even in a sea of strangers, he stood out, his presence magnetic. My heart leapt at the sight of him, and for a moment, all my doubts and fears melted away.
We didn’t say much on the drive to his place. The tension between us was thick, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. It was the weight of everything we had left unsaid.
When we arrived, he led me into a small, sparsely furnished apartment. It was utilitarian, with no personal touches—just like him. He stood across from me, his arms crossed, his gaze intense.
“You came,” he said, his voice low, almost disbelieving.
“I had to,” I replied, my voice trembling. “I needed to see you. To talk about…about us.”
He nodded, his expression unreadable. “So talk.”
I took a deep breath, the words tumbling out before I could stop them. “I don’t know what this is between us, but I can’t stop thinking about you. About what we had. And I need to know if this—if we —could ever work. Because if it can’t, I need to let you go.”
He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. “You think I don’t feel the same?” he asked, his voice rough. “You think I haven’t been going out of my mind since the moment I left?”
“Then why didn’t you say anything?” I shot back, my emotions boiling over. “Why didn’t you fight for me?”
“Because I don’t know if I can give you the life you deserve,” he said, his voice breaking for the first time. “I don’t know if I can be the man you need. My life—it’s dangerous, unpredictable. I’m always on the move. And I didn’t want to drag you into that.”
I stepped closer, my hands trembling as I reached for him. “I don’t care about any of that,” I said, my voice fierce. “I just need to know if you want this. If you want me.”
His hands came up to cradle my face, his touch surprisingly gentle. “I want you,” he said, his voice like a vow. “But it won’t be easy. We’d have to live in the shadows. We’d have to fight for every moment together. Are you ready for that?”
I stared into his eyes, my heart pounding. “I don’t know,” I admitted. “But I’m willing to try. If you are.”
For the first time, I saw a flicker of hope in his eyes. “Then we’ll figure it out,” he said, his voice steady. “Together.”
Nothing Left: Chapter 4
I am a few days late in getting this out as family drama plus the holidays plus moving is hard.
I will try to get another chapter out by the 4th, but between then and now is Christmas, Hanukkah, my birthday, New Years, and my partner's birthday, so who knows!
Fic Summary: You hadn’t spoken in years. Technically, you had the ability to, though as the years wore on, you weren’t so sure. You’d settled in Jackson over a year ago and now it was fall again. You are drawn towards Ellie and her ‘not-dad’, but you had always assumed any relationships deeper than surface level were beyond you at this point.
Chapter Summary: Waking up with injuries makes you realize the strength of your community.
Pairing: Joel Miller x nonbinary!Reader/OC (afab, short hair, tall, dimples, has multiple nicknames but none are their name)
Word Count: ~2.8k
MAIN MASTERLIST
Read on AO3
Series Warnings: This is my first fanfic and I plan to go into some dark stuff including some in-depth discussion of SA that was done to the main character (not by Joel) and the mental impact it has. I am unsure if I will be writing smut as I never have before but I will update the warnings if that changes. There definitely will be allusions to smut if nothing else, so MINORS DNI!
Chapter Warnings: Talk of injuries. Concussion recovery.
Chapter 4
Throbbing and sharp. Those were the only sensations you could identify. You slowly became aware of sounds around you. Shuffling and muffled voices. You tried to grasp onto what was being said but it just made everything hurt worse. Before you knew it, sleep was pulling you under again.
The next time you came to, you were still in pain, but slightly more aware. This time, you didn’t hear any more voices, just the general hum of the room. You squeezed your eyes shut tighter than they already were in the hopes that when you opened them, the light wouldn’t be too blinding. When you finally cracked your eyes open, you were pleasantly surprised to find that the lights were off and the curtains were drawn. After a few more blinks, you realized that you were laying in a room at the clinic.
Your memories were coming back slowly and they were skipping and stuttering like a damaged record. From your left, you heard a little gasp and a whispered “Holy shit, you’re up!,” which forced you to move your head a little too quickly to the side to see the source of the sound. You were surprised when your eyes met with a shocked-looking Ellie, who was sitting in the chair next to you.
“You’ve been out for like 2 hours, dude,” Ellie told you. “Joel and Eugene were here but had to report what happened to Maria. They also went home to shower cause you guys are gross. You could use one too.”
You cracked a small smile at that and tried to sit up a bit. Pain shot through your ribs, tailbone, head and neck at the action and you hissed and laid back down.
“Careful, you don’t look so great,” Ellie said, looking a little out of her element. She waited a moment before adding, “Heard you were pretty badass.”
You raised your eyebrows at the surprised tone in her voice.
“Not that someone like you couldn’t be!” Ellie quickly backtracked. “You’re just… quiet. So I guess I didn’t know you would be.”
You smirked at how uncomfortable she looked and rolled your eyes playfully, despite the pain it caused you.
The click of the door pulled your attention to the front of the work. A much cleaner looking Joel stepped through the door. His hair was still wet and slicked back from his shower. His eyes were down, but when he stepped in the room, they lifted and locked with yours. He seemed a little taken aback to see you awake.
Instead of directly addressing you, he turned to Ellie. “You call a doctor in here?”
“No,” Ellie replied. “Charlie just woke up.”
Without another word, Joel turned on his heel and walked right out the door.
You turned to Ellie and caught her trying hard not to smile at the awkward interaction. You playfully swatted her shoulder, forcing out a little laugh from her chest.
“I’ve never seen you guys interact,” she commented. “It’s kinda funny since Joel doesn’t really talk much to other people either.”
You smiled good-naturedly in reply.
The door opened again and June, one of the two doctors, walked in with Joel and Maria trailing behind her.
June was a woman in her late 60s who had seen it all. She was caring but blunt at times. You admired her. She narrowed her eyes at you.
“We gave you five stitches in your leg. You look to have some bruised ribs and a severe concussion.” June stated. “Since concussions can get worse over time, you’ll need to be observed over the next few days. You’re being pulled from work until you recover, which could take a while. No reading until I say so.”
You were taken aback to hear it all laid out. You were unsure how to respond. Staying at the clinic for a few days sounded horrible to you.
“Maria has offered to have you stay at her and Tommy’s until I give the ok for you to be on your own. Otherwise, you can stay here.” June concluded.
Your eyes darted to Maria, who was smiling kindly at you.
“Ellie also offered to have you stay with her, but I’m not sure she consulted with Joel on that” Maria added, smirking.
Joel looked surprised to hear this news but quickly schooled his face into a frown, glancing at a nervous looking Ellie as he did.
“You’re welcome to stay with us, but I think you’d be more comfortable with Maria” Joel said, avoiding your eyes.
You shouldn’t have been surprised that Maria wanted to help you, but you honestly were. You were even more surprised that Joel hadn’t shut down the idea of staying at his more harshly. In reply, you smiled and signed ‘thank you’ at both of them. You then signed ‘I’ll go with you’ towards Maria, despite your embarrassment at needing to be cared for.
“Great!” Maria replied. “If it’s ok with you, I’ll run over to yours and grab some of your clothes and a toothbrush. Is there anything else I should grab from over there?”
You timidly shook your head. You felt weird having someone else enter your space, but you had nothing to hide and your head hurt too much to figure out how to fight it.
Maria took that as a cue to go and get a head start, leaving Ellie, Joel and June in the room with you. Joel looked uncomfortable and out of place, but strangely didn’t move to leave.
June stared at you for a bit.
“I want to evaluate you better now that you are up, but to be honest I am not sure how since you don’t speak. I don’t want you writing, because focusing that hard could be worse for you.” June stated.
You felt shame run through you as you pointed your eyes to the ground. Speaking came so naturally for everyone else. It came naturally to you before. You’d done it for decades before all of this. You could hear a roaring in your ears and you focused all of your brain power on not letting your tears fall.
The room had fallen silent following June’s words. After about 30 seconds of almost unbearable silence, Ellie piped up. “So… are you gonna check them out in any way or did you just want to say it to say it?”
Joel coughed loudly and June’s eyes widened. June looked taken aback, but not offended.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean anything by it.” June said kindly. “I was just trying to think through this a bit out loud. Why don’t I ask you a few questions that can be answered with a yes or no or a number?”
You gratefully nodded your hand ‘yes’ in reply.
“Do you remember how many times you lost consciousness since the injury?”
You confidently held up one finger before realizing that you actually couldn’t remember. Hesitantly, with your eyebrows pulling together in concentration, you started to put up another finger with the first.
“It’s ok if you don’t remember. You can also answer that you don’t know.” June encouraged. “Did you vomit at all?”
You shook your hand ‘yes’.
“How many times?”
Feeling confident again, you held up one finger. Movement caught your attention from the corner of your eye, and you saw June look to Joel as well, who you realized was shaking his head ‘no’.
Your mouth opened in surprise. Could you really not remember? Suddenly feeling dumb, you looked at your hands.
The questions went on for a while, and by the end you felt humiliated and exhausted. June excused herself to write down some instructions for you.
“You did really well today. You’ll be ok. I’m sure you’re just in some pain.” Joel said quietly, surprising you.
You looked up at him and smiled in thanks. Ellie inhaled as if to tack on another sassy comment, when the door opened revealing Maria.
“I dropped off some of your stuff with Tommy at the house. Do you want to try and get over there now or do you need to rest first?” Maria asked.
Despite your exhaustion, the thought of staying in the clinic longer made you uncomfortable. Doctors had always made you nervous in a way that you were probably too old to still be feeling after all these years. You quickly signed that you wanted to go.
Maria nodded, understanding.
“What did Charlie say?” Ellie asked.
Maria raised her eyebrows. “Charlie?”
“It’s what Eugene calls them and said it made ‘em smile the first time,” Ellie said, shrugging.
“Hmm.” Maria said thoughtfully while looking into your eyes with intensity. “The signs that I knew were ‘I’ ‘want’ ‘go’ ‘now’” she added, imitating the signs you had used.
Ellie repeated the signs while speaking, looking to you in validation. You nodded and smiled at her. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Joel attempting to subtly try the signs out as well. You bit the inside of your cheek to keep your smile from growing.
Walking all the way to Maria’s house turned out to be a harder task than you anticipated. You were thankful for Maria’s arm interlocked with yours and for Ellie on your other side. Joel was hovering behind you, keeping so close that it surprised you.
You stopped 5 times on the way to squeeze your eyes shut to try and stop the world from spinning. A block away from the house, you vomited again. You felt Joel’s arms grasp your upper body to keep you up.
“Aww, sick!” Ellie exclaimed.
This made you laugh and then cough a bit. You felt quite pitiful making your way up the front steps, but also proud that you hadn’t passed out again.
Maria’s house was comforting. It was lived in just enough to be cozy.
“You’ll be staying on the first floor if that is ok with you.” Maria said.
You were grateful that the door to the room was only a few steps away as you felt yourself fading. After Ellie and Maria deposited you on the bed, Ellie and Joel said goodbye and Ellie promised to visit you soon. As she left, you reflected on how much space the girl now took up in your heart after only a few interactions. You smiled, lost in thought.
“I know you are probably exhausted, but I thought you might want to wash up before you go to sleep again.” Maria commented. “There is a bathroom across the hall. Should I start a bath for you? I can help you in and out if you are comfortable with that.”
You weighed how tired you get against the itchiness on your skin. Taking a bath in front of Maria would feel vulnerable, but you weren’t sure that you could do it alone. After a small hesitation, you nodded your hand at Maria, who smiled and exited the room quickly. Moments later you heard the water turn on.
Looking around the small room, you noticed a bag from your house sat atop the dresser. You shakily stood and walked towards it. Unzipping the bag, you selected a shirt, sweatpants, underwear and socks that had never looked comfier. You took a moment to steady yourself on the dresser before beginning to turn around again. Maria stepped back in the room then, tutting at you.
“You were supposed to wait for me.” She said as she moved to help you towards the door.
She thankfully gave you some privacy so you could go to the bathroom before your bath. While you were washing your hands, you looked up and caught your own eye in the mirror. You were shocked at your reflection. Your face was covered in streaks of dirt and a bit of blood, that looked like someone had tried to wipe off a bit after some of it had dried. There were the beginnings of a dark bruise forming along your cheekbone and your lip was split. It was hard to focus, so you quickly finished washing your hands and used the toothbrush Maria had brought from yours to wash out your mouth. You opened the bathroom door again to find Maria standing patiently with a towel, a washcloth, and a stool.
You smiled as you let her slip past before you closed the door again. You took a breath before moving your hands to the bottom of your shirt. About halfway through lifting it over your head, the pain in your ribs decided it would not tolerate being pushed to the side anymore, forcing you to hiss and drop your arms.
“You don’t accept help easily, do you?” Maria commented, moving to help you.
She was respectful and didn’t make you feel too uncomfortable as she helped you undress and lower yourself into the bath. You were pretty sure that without Maria’s help, you would have split your head open trying to lay down, so you signed ‘thank you’ for what felt like the 100th time today.
The warm water not only began to wash away the grime, but it was helping some of your pain as well. You felt your muscles relax a bit and you sank lower into the water.
“You have a big fan club, you know.” Maria said, handing you a washcloth.
You frowned in confusion at her.
“A lot of people were worried when you came in, slung over that horse.”
You huffed and rolled your eyes lightly. You weren’t close with many people in Jackson. They probably would have been worried to see any human body slumped across a saddle. You’re sure it wasn’t a pretty sight.
“I’m serious!” Maria exclaimed. “Don’t belittle your worth here. I am so thankful that you are a part of this community. A lot of people are.”
You looked down, focusing on cleaning your skin so you wouldn’t have to think too hard about the effect of her words.
“I know it must be hard. Having a communication barrier on top of everything else at the end of the world.” She said, smiling at you as she grabbed a cup from the counter. “Can I help with your hair?”
You nodded lazily, sitting up and hugging one of your knees slightly, (one of your legs was propped up slightly above the water to not get your stitches wet) feeling at least 30 years younger in this position, despite the pull of your muscles and aches from your fall.
Maria kept speaking to you as she washed and rinsed your hair, carefully rubbing in the shampoo and moving away from any spots that made you wince.
“When I first met you, I kind of thought that you would start speaking within a day or two. It took me a while to understand that you wouldn’t. Probably even longer to fully accept it. Honestly, there is probably a part of me that still hopes.”
You chuckled in reply and signed ‘same’. Maria laughed lightly.
“I just feel like you are holding some scathing jokes back with all of your observations. Someday I’ll learn enough signs for you to tell me.” She said, waggling her eyebrows, causing you to exhale a laugh again. “You’re one of the people in this town I trust the most. I can’t quite say why. I’d leave my kid with you more readily than a lot of them. And I really do enjoy your company.”
You could feel a few tears making their way out of the corners of your eyes as your nose burned. People rarely talked to you about you unless it was to ask questions that you couldn’t answer. Maria’s words made you feel more deeply the relationships your silence had robbed you of. You were grateful that it hadn’t robbed you of Maria’s friendship.
“Now that I think about that, I am wondering if that makes me a narcissist. I swear I like you for you and not just that I like hearing myself talk.” She said with furrowed brows.
This startled a full blown laugh out of you, and she joined in. After a moment though, the laughter hurt your head and your ribs and you clutched your head. Maria sobered instantly and suggested it was time for you to get out and lay down. You agreed. The process of getting out of the tub and getting dressed was somehow twice as hard as getting in, and you found that any self consciousness fell away as you focused all your energy on staying upright. It wasn’t like Maria hadn’t seen a body before. And this far into the end of the world, everyone’s bodies were covered in scars, big and small.
You were thankful when Maria finally helped you to lay down fully under the sheets on the bed, your eyes already fighting to stay open.
“I’ll be back to check on you while you sleep every once and a while. I’ll try to keep it consistent so I can help if you need anything as well.” Maria stated. “Sorry in advance for any baby screams you may hear.”
Your lips turned up as you remembered the pudge on her baby’s face.
As your eyes slid closed, you heard Maria murmur “Rest” before the familiar click of a door closing lulled you to sleep.
you are complaining about complaining too much while complaining about the fact that maybe people dont like you because you complain too much while complaining about being alone. just stop complaining and do something about it. talk to people. reach out. dont just wait for someone to come to you first.
i have tried reaching out to different people in the past year or so but it never works. i understand its my own fault for letting relationships decay because of my own insecurities and issues but that doesn't mean i can just will myself to think or believe different things about myself. it's a self fulfilling prophecy ; i think people don't like me so i don't reach out so people don't like me etc . i am sure you do not want to hear me list all the things i want to say in response so i will put them in the tags.
#every time i try to reach out or talk to someone it goes nowhere. i dont have any social skills anymore and have no clue how to keep a#conversation going. half the time even when i do people stop replying to me. which is fine theydont owe me a reply but still feels likeshit#when i tried to make one new irl friend it just didn't work because they have better options for friends. we spoke occasionally but never#messaged online like ever and would only talk when we happened to be in the same place. i tried multiple times to organize a time to hangou#none of which came to pass. i dont understand why this one didn't work because i thought this person was interested in being my friend but#i guess i was wrong or thought they were more interested than they really were.#i have a problem with reaching out anyway which has been a problem i have had since i was like 11. reaching out to people first doesnt come#easily to me - in the beginning when i was a lot younger i didn't want to bother people with my presence & thought if i were to come to#someone first they would feel pressured into talking to me when they didn't want to. this is stupid of course. but has still not left me as#something i feel is very core to the way i act today. waiting for someone to come to me first feels like my only option because i do not#know how to reach out effectively (my evidence being i have failed every time i have tried) & i am convinced people dont like me in the#first place and do not want me to approach them.#i dont really even know who to reach out to in the first place. my world is extremely narrow. the number of people i know has shrunk#significantly and my standing in their eyes collectively has also shrunk significantly in the past few years. i feel like every person i#was once friends with wants nothing to do with me. i feel as if i have burned every bridge possible.#when it comes to the fact i complain all the time . which i know of course is annoying. its because i cant find any kind of joy in anything#i do or see or whatever. nothing makes me happy - i only see things to complain about. all stimulus seems grating and the world seems#specifically catered to make me miserable. all i can really do is complain. i treat this blog like a stream of consciousness and when most#of that consciousness is occupied with how much i hate being alive the blog will mostly be complaining. its a vicious cycle lol .#anyway . i guess the key theme is low self esteem begets low self esteem in many ways. mental illness begets mental illness.#i am not really saying this to anyone least of all to you anon. i just felt compelled to recount i guess for myself the reasons that came#to mind for why i am like this. i am talking to myself here
I hope you have someone you can talk to as well, and if I’m not overstepping here (and if I am I’m very sorry!) wishing terrible things upon this person who hurt you; they don’t deserve to walk on this same earth along with you (an angel)💗
Rafe was so hot this season. Need more of him plsss Can you do Topper sister reader getting caught touching herself and then they start sexting and she ask him to fuck her? reader is 18, of course!
I have a few more Rafe requests in the work. Please keep them coming, I miss this man (and JJ!!)
Warnings: 18+, smut, brother’s best friend, sexting, daddy kink, protected p + v,
—
Rafe never bought your sweet and innocent bullshit you put up in front of people. He knew that under your appearance, under the preppy clothes, the big doe eyes and the angelic laugh, you were anything but innocent.
Him and Topper have been friends for over ten years, and have been hanging out almost everyday. He watched you grow two feet taller, and when your little girl body turned into a woman’s. He saw you. He studied you.
It wasn’t until that afternoon the boys came back from the golf course that Rafe had his confirmation. Topper told him to use your bathroom since the main one was being reconstructed, thinking you weren’t home, but when Rafe walked into your room, he saw you naked on your bed, humping your pillow. It wasn’t just any pillow. It was the one with the face on it — a pillow pet, you had called it. The nose of the turtle was rubbing perfectly on your clit, drawing out the softest whimpers and mewls.
He watched for a few seconds in silence as you rocked down on the pillow back and forth, a smirk curling on his lips.
‘’Having fun here?’’ he said in a teasing tone, snapping you out of your bubble.
‘’What the fu—’’ You turned around, startled, and saw Rafe standing in your doorway. ‘’Rafe! What are you doing in my room?’’
‘’Just needed the bathroom,’’ he explained. His eyes trailed down your body, seeing it for the first time. ‘’Didn’t know you were busy.’’
You threw a plushie at him, hitting him square in the chest. ‘’Get out!’’
Rafe laughed and obeyed, closing the door behind him. ‘’If you want to do some naughty things and not get caught, you should lock the door.’’
Since that afternoon, Rafe couldn't help but shift his eyes to you whenever you were around. Now that he knew what was underneath the skirts and girls tops, his imagination had free rein. He was careful, though, making sure your brother never caught on —Topper would kill him if he knew the things he was thinking about you. He made it crystal clear to Rafe and Kelce: you were off-limits.
You didn’t care about your brother’s rule though. Rafe was your brother’s hot best friend. Every girl in Kildare was begging to get in his pants — and now you got it too. But it didn’t cross your mind until the other day when he walked in your room. Maybe it was because you’d always known him, seen him as a kind of second big brother. But now? That image had changed, and there was no going back.
One evening, Rafe was hanging in his bedroom, ready to go out with nowhere to go since Kelce had bailed on him for a Tinder hook up. The asshole. Rafe was annoyed, but there was nothing he could say to make Kelce choose beers over sex. To be fair, He would choose sex too.
He had texted Topper, but he was at Ruthie’s, which meant Rafe was completely on his own tonight. He’ll probably smoke a bit of weed and watch some porn later, a cozy evening. But Wheezie was still home and Rafe promised her he had quit smoking.
As he waited, his phone buzzed on his bed where he left it. Rafe picked it up, confused when he had received a picture from an unknown number. It was a faceless girl in a delicate sheer pink cami, and her tits looked fantastic. He frowned as he typed ‘who’s that?’. Must be a mistake.
A reply came five seconds later.
You: You don’t recognize my tits Rafey?
Instantly, he knew it was you. It was a nickname you gave him when you were younger. No one but you called him that — Rafey.
Rafe: How did you get my number?
You: Stole it from Top’s phone 🤭
Rafe: Naughty girl
You: Did you like it?
Rafe: Like what?
You: My pic! 📸
You: [picture attached]
It wasn’t the same picture. Not exactly. This time, your sheer cami was pulled up and your tits were completely out.
Rafe cursed and ran a hand through his hair. How did that happen? It was clear that you sent this picture with the intention of initiating something with him. But why was this happening now? What made you go and send him a picture of your tits tonight? You never flirted with him before, or showed signals that you were interested.
He reached down to rub himself over his pants as he typed a reply.
Rafe: Fuck those are nice 🥵
You: They’re cold…🧊❄️ Can you come warm them up?
Rafe had to do a double take when he read your message to make sure he hadn’t misread it. Can you come warm them up? It was right there on his phone screen. He looked down at his pants, tented and tight, and groaned. He wasn't sure if he should go through with this or not. Did he want to go to you? Absolutely. Should he break his best friend’s trust for a good fuck?
Rafe: As long as you warm me up too.
He sent a picture of his tented pants, which he was incredibly hard under.
You: Waiting for you 💕
When he arrived, Rafe turned off the truck’s headlights and made sure the neighbors didn't see him. The lady that lived in front of the Thornton house was a country club member and loved to spread gossip around. It wasn’t unusual for him to be at the Thornton’s, but Topper’s truck was not in the driveway.
The last thing he needed was her spying through her curtains.
You were sitting on your bed in a pair of panties your mom didn’t know you owned and your pink cami, waiting for Rafe to show up. Tannyhill was seven minutes away, he shouldn’t be long.
‘’Hi, Rafey,’’ you greeted with the most innocent smile and doe eyes.
Rafe shook his head, tsking. ‘’Uh, uh. Don’t play that game with me.’’
Your lips curled into a smile. ''Took you long.''
He rolled his eyes. ‘’What’s the hurry? Are your parents coming home soon?’’
You shook your head. ‘’I’m just so fucking horny.’’
Rafe laughed out loud. He never heard you speak like that, so raunchy and bold.
You stood on your knees and lifted your cami off, leaving you topless. Your nipples were peaked and pretty, as if greeting Rafe. ''Are you gonna come and warm them up?''
No need to ask twice. Rafe pulled you onto his lap and put his large hands on you, groping and playing with your tits. His calloused fingers kneaded into the soft flesh expertly. He found your hardened nipples, pinching and rolling them between his thumbs and forefingers, causing you to whimper at the sensation.
‘’You like when I give your tits attention, uh?’’ he murmured, his breath hot against your skin.
You nodded, shifting so your needy cunt would come in contact with Rafe’s rock hard erection. He noticed what you were trying to do, and a smirk played on his lips before he attached them to your neck.
‘’Can't get enough?’’ Rafe asked between kisses. ‘’Didn’t know you were such a needy little thing.’’ His hips rocked up into yours, grinding his thick cock against your clothed cunt.
The friction sent sparks of pleasure shooting through your body, making you whimper and cling to his shoulders. ‘’Rafe.’’
‘’I'm going to fuck this sweet cunt until you can't walk straight,’’ he promised darkly, nipping over the sensitive spot where your pulse raced, making you gasp and arch into him.
You’ve thought a lot about Rafe touching you these past days. You knew from overheard conversations with the boys — and talks around the island — and that he was experienced, that he knew how to please a girl. He had a reputation. And goddamn he didn’t disappoint.
One of his hands left your breasts to slide down your stomach, slipping beneath the waistband of your panties to rub over your folds...which were slick with arousal. Rafe groaned. ''Fuck, you're already soaked.'' He rubbed slow circles over your clit, feeling how swollen it had gotten. ''Did you grind on that turtle of yours before I arrived? Turtles are an endangered species or some shit, can’t torture them like that.’’
A laugh bubbled out. ‘’Rafe…’’
‘’What?’’
‘’Don’t want you to make me laugh. Want you to fuck me,’’ you said, looking right into his blue eyes.
Rafe raised an eyebrow, holding your gaze. ‘’You want my cock, babygirl? Want me to fill this pussy up real good?’’ His fingers dipped lower, teasing your entrance before pushing inside.
Your walls clenched around him.
‘’Rafe…’’ you whined again.
‘’Okay, okay.’’ He kissed your jawline sweetly, then removed his hand from your panties and swiftly stripped them down your legs. ‘’Might keep these as a keepsake,’’ he joked, holding your lacy thong.
If you hadn’t been so horny, you would have argued with him to get it back — you didn’t have many and you really liked this pair —, but all you could think about was the beast in Rafe’s pants pounding into you and making you scream. He could get you on your fours like a dog or fold you like a little pretzel if he wished.
You just needed him.
You reached for his belt and worked to unbuckle it, but Rafe pushed you back and told you to bend over your vanity. His request surprised you, but you complied. The cool air on your wet cunt made you shiver. You never tried that position before.
You could hear the sound of Rafe undressing — the rustling of fabric, the undoing of a zipper and the clinking of his belt buckle on the floor. You wanted to look at him — at his cock, more precisely —, but he was already behind you, a hand on your back, making you lean down lower, and nudged your legs further apart.
The air leaked out of your lungs in a squeaky rush when he pressed the tip, gently tearing through your tight walls. The sensation had you gripping the edge of your vanity.
‘’You okay, baby?’’ he asked with genuine concern in his voice.
You nodded. ‘’Y-yeah.’’
Once the first uncomfortable thrusts passed, you forgot about the initial pain and felt the pleasure flow through your body. Rafe gripped your hips tighter, fingers digging into your soft skin as he picked up pace. The vanity creaked, a rhythmic beat that matched your increasingly frantic movements.
Your tightness enveloped him like a vice as he pounded into you mercilessly. Christ, you felt incredible. Each deep stroke dragged a gasp from your lips, and he reveled in the sounds of pleasure you made.
''You feel so fucking good, baby,'' he grunted, gripping your hips and digging his fingers into your soft flesh. ''Is this what you wanted when you stole my number through Topper's phone? For me to fuck your tight cunt?''
Tears were pricking your eyes, your mouth hanging open while wanton sounds kept spilling out. ''Yes, Daddy!'' you uttered out.
The word slipped without noticing, sending a jolt straight to Rafe’s cock, making him throb inside you. ‘’That's it, baby,’’ he growled, even more turned on. ‘’Let Daddy know how much you love being fucked.’’
He pistoned into you harder, the force causing your breasts to bounce with each thrust. The obscene slapping of skin against skin echoed through the room, adding to the soundtrack of your other sounds. It looked like a scene straight from a spicy booktok romance.
Rafe brought a hand around your neck, forcing you to look up. “Look at yourself.”
You lifted your eyes to the reflection in the mirror. It was a view that was erotic. Seeing yourself nude and flushed along with him, and feeling it at the same time was nearly mesmerizing. The look on your face was hazy, strained, and blissful, eyes half-lidded and lips parted. You locked eyes with Rafe through the mirror, and he kissed below your ear.
Behind you, sweat was sticking to Rafe’s smooth chest, but he didn't slow down. He must have really good stamina. You locked eyes with him through the mirror, and he kissed below your ear.
‘’Are we putting on a good show?’’ he asked, his voice hoarse and low. His words made your cunt clench around Rafe like a vice. He threw his head back with a groan, his whole body tightening. ''Fuck, you're gonna cut my blood flow if you keep squeezing me like that.''
You wanted to stop, but you couldn’t. You had lost all control of your body, gasping and clenching and rutting hard against Rafe until you came with a drawn-out moan. You shivered through your orgasm and Rafe's steady thrusts.
When he started to shake, you swallowed hard and found your voice. ‘’Come on, Rafey. Fill me up. Cum deep in my pussy, Daddy!’’
That pushed him over the edge, his whole body spasming, cock forced all the way in and filling up the condom. Your chest heaving, trying to catch a breath as he rode out the high, grunts and groans leaving his lips.
You've never heard anything sexier.
When he was finished, Rafe pulled out and stepped back, leaving alone on your wobbly legs. You started to lose balance, and quickly grabbed the vanity's edge.
‘’Shit, you good?’’ Rafe asked, his tone hovering between concern and smug satisfaction.
You gave a small nod. You just needed to sit.
His eyes scanned slowly down your body. ''Fucked you that good, uh?'' he said with a smirk, teasing.
You shot him a playful glare, going to sit on your bed. ‘’Fuck you, Cameron.’’
Rafe laughed as he removed and tossed the condom in your trash. ‘’Just did, Princess.’’
God. Could he be more exasperating?
He checked on the way back, reading something that made him frown. ‘’Eh, I gotta go.’’
‘’Now?! We just fucked.’’
Although this was a casual fuck and that it’s usually how it ends, you didn’t want him to leave right after. You didn’t expect him to cuddle, but you had hoped he would stay a little. To talk or watch something on Netflix.
Rafe dressed quickly, explaining that Wheezie needed to drive her to her friend’s house because Rose’s car was not starting.
Before exiting your room, he called your name. ‘’You sound so pretty when you cum.''
Your cheeks flushed and you hid your face with a pillow. ''Rafe...''
The corners of his lips curved into a smug smile. He wasn’t done. ‘’Oh, and I liked when you called me Daddy. It's hot.''
