I am so in love with everything Emily Axford is doing, I was wary of Fig being a paladin at first but it is working out so well - but I am SCARED bc her conversation with Zara is giving me the feeling that this could be Figs last season since Emily already wanted to retire her at the beginning of JY.

Was SO not expecting Murphs roll to be the big roll of the episode (thought it was the fated Ally one) but am so pleasantly surprised bc the Ragh/Porter reveal is truly one of the best moments I’ve ever seen from Dimension 20.

The fucking heartbreak I felt when Oisins ping pong balls came up and started releasing spells - like that was such a cute moment when we all thought he was just so flustered by Adaine but NO he’s MEAN!!!!! Siobhan’s face killed me ☹️☹️

I usually have a hard time sort of fully absorbing the lore of a d20 season but this huge lore drop and how they kept going over it in a very succinct way was SO helpful for me I feel fully prepared for theses final few episodes AHHHHHH

Why does he turn on a dime to his friends? Why does he go along with morally questionable plans so easily? Why is he like this??? And yea, the whole soul deal with Olm answers it: ‘do as I say and you’ll be kinda free’ and that’s like. Part of the motive. But emotionally-

When he knocks out his friends to tube them, there’s no hesitation. He’s deceptive and quick and cackling. He’s singing an uplifting song, luring in his target like the pied piper and finishing the melody on a bang. The ending of Trog’s ep 3 implies there was also no warning before getting submerged. He’ll offhandedly throw jokes about cloning friends, shrug off the moral implications, mutter under his breath about replacing one in the same causal inconvenience of replacing a piece of technology

He’s not only doing what he’s told, it looks like he’s detached about it

The few times he talks about it seriously, it’s like he’s in a trance. He needs to do this. He has to save all of them. He can lock away anomalies, fabricate life to fill in those empty spots, make sure there’s no loose threads, act concerned and lie through his teeth. Drastic solutions to drastic problems. Does he take delight in getting away with all this? Probably. Is he happy it’s come to this? Probably not

There’s no use dwelling or having second thoughts because these things need to happen anyway. He believes he’s doing a greater good, so… he sets aside any guilt or bad feelings (if those existed in the first place). Maybe even goes as far to convince himself there shouldn’t be remorse. Helping them (and most importantly himself) outweighs whatever they’d think of the situation. Which feeds into the detached attitude

He’s not only making sure certain things are done, he’s settling into the proper mindset to do them

In the 100 days in a mc nightmare series, the prequel to Avid’s sbk journey, there’s a part where he spent 20 days travelling across a dangerous land. It was a physically draining march towards a location that probably existed, and mentally draining to watch for things that could kill him at a moment’s notice. There wasn’t a guarantee he’d arrive, no map to guide him, no proof of its existence. And yet, he kept going. Despite the literal hell he was in, Avid held onto the tiniest spark of hope that he’d make it home after this quest. And that kept his feet moving. He adapted to the harsh environment until he felt numb to it. Nothing stood in his way for long. “Something in me told me to keep going and so I did, through the worst of it all and then some.”

Then limbo happened. He got trapped in a pocket dimension that 1) was never meant to be his home, 2) meant to be punishment for killing a deity, and 3) incredibly isolating. I cannot imagine the heartbreak, paranoia, frustration, and the whole storm of emotions that plagued him: on day one. Cannot fathom what a millennia of that would be like. But I can guess after so long, anyone’s grip on reality would loosen. Shatter, even

But Avid didn’t break. Whatever sanity he had left was kept intact by the hope of one day, some day, any way- finding home again. It’s what he says to Olm in response to “Why don’t you just give up?”

I hadn't considered it before and I'm glad to have found your post to help open my eyes a bit more. It must be so so heartbreaking, like you said, not to see or feel any real representation on a platform that clearly tries to provide representation for some. I sent an email to the dropout team echoing what you sent to Sam about disability rep, and it may do nothing but hopefully at the least it shows them more people are asking for it. 3 Movies

Movies to me have always been a magnificent medium for storytelling. While animation can cross boundaries that don't sit right with movies all the time, actors/actresses add a new dimension with their dialogue, body language, and expressions.

So I've watched around 20 movies since the past few months and wanted to talk about some of them. Not all of them are worth writing about but still worth sharing. Just my thoughts and not a critical review or anything of that sort.

(1) Fight Club

"STOP TRYING TO CONTROL EVERYTHING AND JUST LET GO"

I live by this quote. I don't actually let go of things but at least I practice not trying to control everything. It has helped me throughout my daily life for a while, and the movie helped me in a strange part of my life too.

To this day, I do not understand Fight Club fully. But I've watched it only once and too many in-depth videos on it. Perhaps I should try and interpret it in my way after a few re-watches. The twist was something I did not see coming and I have no idea how I've lived 18 years without somebody spoiling me the ending. But hey, I've learned something about our demons and how we will project them or express them in ways that even we do not understand sometimes.

(2) La La Land

"People love what other people are passionate about."

This is something I'll always remember. I remembered how a spark of passion in someone made me try out journaling. I was no way near as good, nor was I as passionate as her. But I loved that about her, and it made me appreciate passionate people.

I'm glad I watched this movie. It has one of the most astounding cinematography I've seen in film. The choreographies to the absolutely beautiful locations they chose to film in- I was in awe. You could even tell the director was passionate about making this movie. And of course, I starred in this movie with Emma Stone- huge credits to me.

The bittersweet ending sparked a ray of hope in me. How did they make that ending work, you'll only know once you watch it. That ending was a message to carry on life- you'll need to sacrifice important things. Life won't hand you anything.

(3) Fallen Angels

"He was a film director before he opened this place. So he always communicates with his family by making a video tape.... Sometimes I want to try the same thing. But I don't know who I'd send my tapes to. I don't wanna end up sending them to myself."

This movie is the reason I'm writing this post. I finished this today, and I fell in love with its style, its aesthetics and camerawork. I absolutely fell in love with the feels. But even more with the short-lasting characters. How beautifully have they portrayed the simplicity of the people around us. Our obsessions, failed loves, heartbreaks, existential crisis- all of it portrayed in such an awe-inspiring way.

With absolute minimal dialogue and a great amount of meaningful and thought provoking monologue, the show rings to your heart. It has so many things you can relate to, even though you might not expect that when you read the description.

This movie deserves its own post.

Anyways, what I've learnt from this story is that: I really need a motorcycle to ride off into a tunnel with my wife holding me like that in the picture. (wink wink)

Any thoughts for someone starting acoc?

I LOVE acoc... it's very bingeable but I would honestly recommend watching one ep per day or spacing it out a little just so you can digest information in between eps (there is a LOT of stuff going on in the first 9 episodes, trust me). DO expect this to be a darker season than the rest of what dimension 20 has put out. if you're a fan of political fantasy and family drama with a side of heartbreak you're gonna like this.

my other favorite thing about acoc is it also happens to be the one season with the most fanprojects sprung out of it; most of them were organized by my friend sam @kindlespark and I've participated in all of them!

i finished a crown of candy and the first season of the unsleeping city (the covid format of the second season is making it harder for me to fucus, so i'm delaying it) and i started neverafter today. i'm dying to hear all your thoughts, so if you don't mind writing 300 pages i'd love to read it <3 here are a couple of mine:

liam is everything to me, i love him i am him and personally i would have went way harder on the ppl who killed (spoiler); i have a crush on emily, but i'm guessing so does everyone else?; sophia and dale the only straight couple i care about <3; i need a pete lookbook like i've never needed anything else; wally is the most character ever; don confetti's voice is everything to me; the people who make the sets are superhuman and if i was in a group chat with ricky it could cure me

also idk if you know this but emily and murph are married! they have a separate dnd podcast called not another dnd podcast (naddpod) where murph is the dm. sometimes they have the d20 cast guest star. super fun and it’s free, but not actual play!

other seasons of d20 i’d recommend are fantasy high (it’s 2 seasons and it has 2 spin-off series: the seven and pirates of leviathan. brennan’s wife, izzy, is among the cast of the seven!), tiny heist, and starstruck odyssey (based off a comic series of the same name that brennan’s mom wrote in the 80s).

I can accept that the CRWBY finally started MAYBE incorporating more elements of Ruby’s source material, but I just think it says a lot about which Red is the best Red if it took 9 seasons to MAYBE get the Big Bad Wolf. Neverafter is all about thoughtfully engaging with the fairy tales it draws from, and Emily and Brennan did such a great job building on and transforming the story of Red Riding Hood into something profound and heartbreaking. RWBY usually just throws in fairy tale motifs willy-nilly without giving them much thought or doing anything interesting with them. For example, we have Pinocchio (Penny) and Romeo Candlewick (Roman), but they’ve NEVER INTERACTED. However I feel about Ruby as a character (*cough cough* THEY COMPLETELY IGNORED THAT SHE IS A WEAPON NERD *cough cough*), she’s not the best Red Riding Hood because her Red Riding Hood-ness is very surface level and aesthetic.

Okay I'm going to post this ask but from now on keep it a little nicer in the anti propaganda!

On that note I'm not gonna apologize for two in a row cause this is my blog, and I can do what I want, but another rant incoming:

My sister called my sister-in-law the baby (she's 32) and I looked at her like she was insane, and I think that was the first time she really thought about me being a part of the siblings, like hey I am more your sibling than your sister-in-law (don't get me wrong all of the in-laws and siblings just call each other siblings cause we do love each other) and holy shit you just never really thought of me as anything more than a babysitter for the most part huh? When do I get recognized as part of your family? When I can drink at family gatherings? I'm so tired of this shit I graduate with my bachelor's next year and newsflash I want to move across the fucking country. and I came back expecting to build a want to stay with family but I am just getting pushed further towards that goal and that's heartbreaking.

"why don't you go home more" my coworkers ask and I just say "I have a lot I have to do here" and in reality I like having a bedroom to be autistic in and a place I can actually sleep, and people who know what I like because they ask, not because I just wanted to talk and they half listened. Yes I play DND but do you know WHY I play DND again? Do you recognize what I'm talking about when I say dimension 20 or he encounter table? Do you know my favorite color? ………………….. i am in utter disbelief. i can’t believe what i just read. THIS IS THE POTENTIAL I ALWAYS SAW IN BORUTO’S STORY. THIS IS WHY ALL THOSE “FILLER CHAPTERS” IN 2021 WERE SO IMPORTANT. boruto’s sacrifice is amazing. him realizing that no matter what he tries, he just can’t control momoshiki and almost killing his father was the last straw. the fact that he made a pact with his brother to kill him if there is no other choice. it just shows how much boruto has grown as a character. from not being able to break his arm to get out of kakashi’s hold in the genin exams to having his own brother KILL HIM!!! this is what i always wanted from boruto’s story. also, seeing just how far kawaki is able and willing to go to protect naruto was great and further implies that kawaki sent the hokage to another dimension in the timeskip. this chapter is just so heartbreak and i love it. this is the story i’ve always wanted and i’m so fucking happy about how the story is progressing. while i know boruto obviously isn’t dead, i still want this to last. the most impactful moments in a story is the aftermath of major events and this is the BIGGEST even in boruto so far. i want to see hinata and himawari’s reaction. i want mitsuki to cry for the first time. show shikadai heartbroken because he lost his best friend. omg i want naruto to believe it so bad, i want him to be heartbroken, cry, weep for his son. look what happened when naruto though hinata was dead. now imagine him believing his own son is DEAD. oh this is amazing and for the first time in a long time i’m excited for the next chapter. OH AND I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT AMADO. THAT OLD BITCH. this basics confirms he is plotting something big and playing puppet master since even code said that he was used by amado to be kawaki’s final push into using karma. also, by installing a new karma used as a weapon, amado officially went behind konoha’s back. he will probably justify by showing how kawaki basically saved the day but still the possibilities are endless of how this story will progress. these are my initia thoughts since i just finished reading the chapter like 20 minutes ago so i’m just rambling but oh my goodness. i’m just… i don’t even know how to explain my feelings. ONE LAST THING!! a couple of things i want to see in the next upcoming chapters. a boruto and momoshiki conversation if he’s really dead, a jougan/toneri tease or reveal, boruto to not be able to return to the leaf and FINALLY have a sasuke/boruto training arc and for sasuke to mentor boruto since if boruto is basically exiled out of the leaf village, only sasuke will be able to console him and help him in that situation. finally… PLEASE for the love of God don’t let this be a cop out and he isn’t dead and momoshiki is powerful and the fight continues. that would be the worst. okay ramble over 😁. can’t wait for february 20th!

Summary: Tom is a typical frat boy, his love for partying, drinks and girls are bigger than his ego. Y/N is a whole different dimension, she keeps her circle small, and even though she knows her best friend Tom is a total douche, she can’t say no to the little deal that was sealed between the two of them.

It was a Friday night and that meant party all night.

Well not for you.

You weren’t a party girl. Sure you went here and there on some frat parties with your friends, but every Friday? Hell no.

The Friday nights were reserved for a book and a cup of tea.

You were a shy one, you kept your circle small. Tom, Harry, Anna and Amelia.

You were a big bookworm, and hopeless romantic. A great duo for sure.

Sometimes you felt like an ugly duckling. Amelia and Anna were gorgeous and appealing brunettes, just like other college girls, but with a great personality. They were a whole package if you asked me.

You would say that you were an average looking girl. Nothing to special.

You just wanted a guy that would love you for who you are on the inside, not outside.

Too much books, I know.

“Maybe it’s time to head to bed.” You said to yourself, after you caught yourself overthinking, again.

“Jesus Christ.” You sighed, the doorbell waking you up.

It was 20 minutes past midnight, and you were now worried who is at the door at this time.

“Again?” You groaned, rubbing your eyes.

“I’m sorry, I know it’s late, but I really needed a break.” Tom spoke, running his palm through his messy hair and massaging his scalp.

You motioned him to the living room, styling your hair that was sticking out everywhere, as much as possible.

“Great, I look like a zombie.” You murmured to yourself as you went to the couch where Tom was seated.

“Want anything to drink or something else?”

“Yeah…something strong?” He said, pushing his back flat on the couch.

“You know that I only have wine here.”

“It will do the job.”

“So..will you tell me what is tonight’s reason for your visit?” Your figure sat next to Tom’s, enjoying a late glass of wine as well.

“She saw me with Stassie today, so she went bonkers.”

Ah. Typical Tom.

Well let’s go back to the start shall we?

If you were honest, there was a lot, but still nothing to tell that wasn’t familiar to everyone.

Tom. Your typical frat boy.

Hot guy, astonishing body, soft curly brown hair followed with the dark brown eyes that had every girl drooling. His charming smile that he flashed to every single girl, covered up his conceited behaviour. Although he was a very charismatic person, he was a bit big-headed.

Did I say a bit? I meant a lot.

Parties were his scene. Tom loved the attention he got from the people almost immediately when he would enter the party place. Girls were basically throwing themselves on him, waiting for him to acknowledge them.

Tom was aware of the effect he had on the ladies, and he sure took advantage of that.

Every weekend there was a new one in his sheets.

He didn’t do feelings, some girls knew, some didn’t. So the morning after he would throw them out of his room half naked, all shattered and with the disgusting feeling that they were used.

He had a reputation, after all he was the most wanted boy out here, everyone’s dream was to become something to him.

Unfortunately no one had succeeded.

Did Tom say she a minute ago? Oh yes.

She was Sophie. And no, she wasn’t his girlfriend, but she sure didn’t think that way.

Sophie was your classic example of a girl that doesn’t understand the word no.

She was one of Tom’s flings, a beautiful, but fake girl. They got together at her 20th birthday party, it was just a one time drunk sex. Tom waited for her to feel asleep after a long session, so he could just go home and get at least a little amount of sleep.

However the next day at college, Sophie was like a limpet.

She didn’t let him breathe, even though Tom explained how he worked.

To be rejected or not interested in her was a unknown term for Sophie.

“Look, we shared a night, had sex and that’s all. It’s how I roll sweetie okay?” He desperately tried to get her off of his back.

“Tommy, I know how you do things, but you can’t lie about the chemistry. We just need to be together. And the sex is amazing.”

And that’s how it started.

Tom was loud and clear, not just with her, but with his friends and other ladies that she isn’t his girl, and never will be.

He really hoped that Sophie would let him be after a while, and she really did, but Tom just couldn’t keep it in his pants.

The Spring party.

Everyone got shit-faced, Tom was super turned on by a sweet brunette that clearly wasn’t interested in his lame flirting.

Sophie came in for a refill in the kitchen, but she was a godsend for Tom at that moment.

“Soph, sweetie mind if I get you a drink?”

“Thought you were clear about your feelings for me Tommy?” She answered, playing with the end of her dress.

“Yeah, yeah..How about I get you that drink, and we could catch up on things, ya know like old times?” He crossed his arms on purpose, flexing his biceps.

“I knew you would come back.” Sophie laughed, wrapping her slim arms around him.

It happened again. And Tom left like the last time, but once again Sophie didn’t get the message.

It became much more harder for him to avoid her, she was all over the place. She ruined his possible hookups, tried to meet his friends, brothers. It was getting on his last nerve, and even though he said that he doesn’t do relationships, she didn’t give up.

Sophie just wanted to be in the spotlight, and Tom was a great opportunity.

“Dear God. I told you that this lifestyle of yours would cost you. You should’ve refrain yourself for one night. Now you have a fake and crazy girl on your back, and no freedom as well.” You said, secretly eyeing him, he was hot you couldn’t lie.

“Thanks for not helping Y/N. Fucking hell I just want her to disappear, she is hundred percent crazy!”

“Why don’t you for once think rationally. Call her, take her for a coffee, tea whatever, sit down. Talk. Like normal people, tell her how things are, use your magic. But be nice and direct, she needs to get it in her head.” You tried your best to help him, after all he was your best friend and crush since preschool.

Stupid choice I know.

“I think so, but I wouldn’t be surprised that she spreads the news that I took her on a ‘date’, not a ‘can you please fuck off’ coffee.” Tom spoke clearly annoyed, filling up his empty glass.

He was tipsy already, and so were you. The wine absolutely did the job.

You were now nervous, your heart thumping against your ribs, the silence wasn’t an issue between the two of you, but tonight something was different.

“Why are you laughing?” You questioned, looking at Tom.

“Nothing darling, just remembered the day at elementary school.”

“Oh God. Which one?”

“You know, when you almost punched Elizabeth when she said I gave her a flower, and that I’m her best friend now.” He looked at you smiling like a child.

“Hey! You couldn’t blame me I loved you, you were my bestie I thought you betrayed me!” You stated, turning your body to his.

“Oh loved?” He grabbed his chest, trying to look hurt, but failing after a loud laugh escaped from his lips.

Your hand slapped his chest playfully, as an answer.

“This wine is crazy, I’m definitely going to consume it more.” He spoke.

“Well you for sure will if Sophie freaks out again.”

“New bottle?” You asked, standing up, your legs wobbly from the alcohol that was running in your system.

“Sure, it’s a long night after all.”

You tried to be as relaxed as you could be, but Tom’s presence tonight didn’t let you be.

Tom was also tense, the wine messed with his mind, he didn’t got laid for days, and the silky white shorts of yours didn’t help him at all.

You were in front of him, opening a bottle, but he just couldn’t control himself. His eyes were glued on your slim legs and tits.

He knew that under those hoodies that you wear on a daily basis was an incredible body.

Tom finded you attractive, absolutely stunning. He thought about you on his bed, whining for him, he really did wanted to have sex with you, but he couldn’t. You were his best friend and Tom didn’t want to hurt you.

“I’m worn out.” You said exhaling the air.

“TOM!” You almost chocked on the wine.

“Then you can tell me when was the last time hm?”

“I don’t remember ok?! Jesus, the last time was probably the week before me and Noah broke up.” Your voice almost a whisper, realising that you were presumably too boring.

Tom just whistled the ‘wow that’s tooo long’ whistle, earning an annoying look from you.

“If it helps you I didn’t bang a girl for like a week, maybe more?” His answer turning into a question.

“Yeah, that helped me a lot, thanks Thomas.”

“Always here to help you.”

You once again slapped him playfully, but with the arm where your glass of wine was, spilling the beverage on his shirt and sweatpants.

“Fuck, sorry! I’m drunk, I-shit.” Yes, you were absolutely drunk, because the sober Y/N wouldn’t try to dry Tom’s crotch with her hands.

Tom’s eyes opened widely. The feeling of your palm rubbing his now hard dick, speeded up his breathing.

Your knees were on the couch, and your body extremely close to his. You still didn’t have a clue what you were doing.

“If you’re gonna clean me up like this, I might spill some of this by myself darling.” He groaned, raising the glass in the air.

That was enough to send your mind to reality.

“OH GOD. I’m so sorry, oh my God this is so embarrassing right now.” You tried to sit back down, but Tom’s hands stopped you.

Before you could fall on the purple carpet in your living room, his grip brought you into his chest.

Your hands were on his thorax, his arms on your lower back.

“Shit, am I on his lap right now?! What the fuck is happening?” You thought inside your head. What a great situation to be in.

“You’re making me so hard now Y/N.”

You were speechless. This wasn’t happening.

“I think it’s a big shame that you don’t have any kind of relief after a long day.” He whispered in your ear, breathing in the sweet scent of your shampoo.

“Tom.” Your mind was hazy, you tried your best to resist this, but holy shit you wanted this since forever.
