Very important very canonical list of what BSD characters would say “urm what the sigma” either ironically or unironically

Dazai and Ranpo both say it ironically often back and forth to each other or to confuse the rest of the agency. Dazai especially would say it after a ten minute lecture by Kunikida in which Kunikida would respond with another ten minutes of yelling at him for not taking anything seriously.

Yosano says it once or twice when the moment’s right mostly to tease Kunikida for taking it so literally but not nearly as often as the other two.

Kyouka and Kenji heard Ranpo and Dazai say it and started repeating it even though neither of them understand what it means but it sounds funny.

Lucy joins in with Dazai and Ranpo in saying it especially towards Atsushi who doesn’t get it but just awkwardly laughs it off cause he doesn’t know how else to respond.

Tachihara said it once with the black lizards and again with the hunting dogs and both times was met with confused silence. He was trying to get a laugh but ended up just feeling hella cringy and never said it again out of embarrassment.

Gin actually did giggle when Tachihara said it but no one heard it under her mask. Now she mumbles it under her breath occasionally and once said it in front of Akutagawa who was also very confused.

In another life I firmly believe that Q would be an IPad kid who laughs at skibidi toilet jokes. If he ever were to canonically gain internet access he would defo laugh at and use the phrase unironically.

Take one look at Kajii and try to tell me he doesn’t say the most cringy chronically online shit every time he opens his mouth.

Nikolai starts saying it all the time the minute he hears the phrase. Everyone else just assumes it’s something he made up to annoy Sigma so they don’t question it. Meanwhile Sigma himself is initially confused as to why Gogol keeps using his name in vain like someone would to god. He increasingly gets more and more annoyed at it because it’s very obvious Nikolai is only doing it to make him upset. Once Sigma is at peak annoyance, Gogol starts replacing the word sigma with other words that start with the letter S like scallop or something to subvert his expectations. This only makes Sigma more annoyed as it’s obviously just a replacement for his name and its meaning remains the same. Although Sigma acknowledges how silly getting all worked up over something stupid Nikolai did is, he still can’t help it. Gogol uses the excuse that he’s not saying his name anymore so he can’t get mad at him. Finally one day Nikolai airdrops Sigma multiple TikTok’s about “sigma males” causing Sigma to have an existential crisis over what his name means and the implications of being named after such a thing cause he would never treat women that way all while Nikolai laughs about it from afar.

Do people really think that skk hate eachother?

After the fight with Lovecraft, we have a scene where Dazai smiles at Chuuya; this is one of the only genuine smiles we ever get from Dazai. Most of the time he is playing up a facade and he is very hard to read but he always seems to smile more genuinely when he is around Chuuya, especially when Chuuya isn't looking at him.

What I think those two have are very complicated feelings that haven't changed since they were 15-18.

Skk never got to be friends, they were always partners, "Double Black", Port Mafia's prodigies. They didn't get the chance to just be kids and see the better sides of eachother, their relationship didn't grow organically over the years but became stunted at a time when both of them were only teenagers. Thrust in an environment where there's not much positivity, Skk were always at odds because of their clashing personalities and mutual dislike (and their similarities)

I don't think that dislike ever became hate. I think they did become closer as the years passed, but then of course Dazai left.

While saying Chuuya was sad when Dazai left is a way to show their care for eachother. I would say, Chuuya was REALLY angry when Dazai left (that's why he drank that expensive wine, it was out of spite). How can he leave? Does he have no loyalty to the PM? Does he have no loyalty to Chuuya? They were partners, he can't just leave without a word.

Dazai left without a word because he knew how mad Chuuya would be at him when he finds out, he knew if he thought about Chuuya there would be a part of him that wouldn't want to leave this partnership that they have had since three years. It was something that gave him excitement in this "worthless thing they call living" it was his will to live. He also didn't want the PM to think Chuuya was involved with him and helped him in leaving.

I do think Dazai leaving PM made Chuuya dislike him even more. Dazai was not only annoying, he was also disloyal.

But when it comes to Dazai, I don't think he hated Chuuya at all. His fondness for Chuuya is what makes him not want to like him. It's the same way Nikolai wants to kill Fyodor for being the only one who understands him. Dazai doesn't want to kill Chuuya, when he says "I have been thinking about ways to kill Chuuya since 7 years" it's a lie, a joke for him, a facade. He could have done that any time in 7 years but he chose not to. He knows when it comes to it, he can't kill Chuuya.

Chuuya would say he hates Dazai but goes out of his way to save him everytime. In Dead Apple, he risked his own life to save Dazai who could have been dead for all he knew. But he still took the chance, believing that Dazai would have a plan and that he would know that Chuuya is going to risk it. (Also I wholeheartedly believe Dazai has some fantasies about being rescued by Chuuya, that Mf totally does)

Their trust in eachother is so strong, that even when they are on the enemy side, they are able to work together, putting their differences apart. They have never had a "real" fight like Atsushi and Akutagawa, it's more of snide remarks and calling nicknames, like their teenage selves.

I don't think Chuuya is aware of these complicated feelings, he has manifested his dislike of Dazai's antics and personality to a point he had hidden his care for him. On the other hand, Dazai is very aware of these feelings, he knows he cares. So he fakes it, acting out as usual the idea that he hates Chuuya, because he knows loving and caring for someone does not end well for him (look at Oda). He doesn't want to lose another person he cares for.

In retrospect as memeable and funny those two "confession" scenes are in S5; it's the first time Dazai is not lying, he is acknowledging his care for Chuuya in a way it feels authentic and real to Fyodor, so they could trick him. It's their plan, yes, but the reason it feels real is because IT IS. No wonder Chuuya shot him so many times ("Dazai's being stupid again, making me feel things, embarrassing me in front of the enemy").

This isn't a shipping post, I do ship Skk, but their bond is so deep that you can look at it in a platonic way and very little would change.

Bruh they say Vanitas from VNC is an ENTP but I beg to differ. Because if he is an ENTP, he is the most ENTJ ENTP I've come across.

I have my fair share of encounters of ENTP characters, and fortunately or unfortunately (I can't tell) these kinds of characters are a type I tend to simp for.

Take Astarion, for example. He is flirty, charismatic, good with his words, hilarious, sassy. The works. And he is pure chaos, at least when we first meet him. That man is a gremlin, a chaotic, evil little gremlin. He cannot plan or follow through anything orderly to save his life. Not even when plots to kill Cazador.

Also. Dazai. I've only watched 3 episodes of Bungo Stray Dogs, but based on what I seen thus far, the man is giving major ENTP vibes. He is charismatic, funny, a bit sassy, and honestly, so fucking insane. Literally within five minutes of the first episode we see him attempting to, ya know if you know. And the fact he calls out of his work REGULARLY and with Atsushi's initiation trial he had others do the dirty work. AND he tried to off himself AGAIN in the 2nd episode like gadDAMN.

Now, Vanitas. I've watched both seasons of VNC. And yes, he is charismatic, cocky, cunning, etc. Classic ENTP traits. But, and a major but. He not only knows what he's doing, but he plans shit out. He maybe spontaneous with the plans, but he does go into things knowing how to carry himself to get what he wants. Especially with the Chasseurs thing in the catacombs. Also with romancing Jeanne. It maybe spontaneous, but he chose her deliberately. He chose her because he believed she would be the kind of person who wouldn't fall in love with him. He is overall pretty deliberate with his actions and choices, and it's not something that a typical ENTP would do.

Also, he knows how to cook. That is not something a typical ENTP would do. How do I know that? Well we can assume Astarion can't cook for shit and based on what I know of Dazai, I don't think he would either. Honestly, it surprised me to see that Vanitas knows how to cook well. It does not feel very P-y for an ENTP.

I think if anything he's split down the middle between P and J in his MBTI with slightly more P hence why he's an ENTP. Because Vanitas does have spontaneity, but he's more controlled than other ENTPs I know of.

Follow up question why do think akutagawa listened to atsushi request to not kill people for 6 months? I don't think this has anything to do with dazai's approval. I like the bsd omake where akutagawa was having a hard time not killing and gin being genuinely worried about his mood!! It's funny how the entire mafioso seem okay with akutagawa's decision to not kill, until he settles his score with jinko.

I do think it was really just that Akutagawa, for how he is, keeps his promises. Once he accepted it - and he accepted it, because Akutagawa can’t turn down a challenge or a chance to prove himself -, I don’t think he ever even considered breaking it, because he’s of that kind: hyperfocused, straightforward, quite the executer, someone who doesn’t really question things but is used to stick to the directives when coming from a place he feels he has to prove himself to (that’s what Dazai made of him, after all). I do agree Dazai’s approval had secondary importance in this case. I also think Akutagawa just really wanted to kill Atsushi. He’s not used to… Question things, and he saw in keeping his promise the only way he could get to fight Atsushi in six months, which is something he really wanted to do, so he just did that. Akutagawa is quite narrow-minded and straightforward.

But again, even leaving that aside, Akutagawa being one who keeps his promises- I don’t know how to explain it, it just fits his character. It fits his being naïve and it fits his serious personality and his upbringing and moral compass. Seriously, I don’t think it was even because of Atsushi specifically, he just keeps his word in general, even if he was to give it to one of his victims before killing them. He’s a man of his word, it's in his very character introduction.

About how the promise could ever possibly concile with his Mafioso job, thinking about it is my personal treat! It gives back some kind of dignity and authority to Akutagawa after all the mud I so often have fun throwing at him ahah. I think I already summed up pretty well what I think about the matter in the tags here:

Surprisingly, I think Akutagawa has enough power to do that. Despite all the mud I throw at him he *is* one of the most powerful pm members and like... Realistically‚ now that Dazai is gone‚ what is keeping him in the pm anyway? On the other hand, it would indeed be a great loss for Mori to lose him. So I do believe to some extent they just make Akutagawa do whatever he wants to do; which most of the time is killing and maiming so that's quite convenient! But if for six months he decided to limit himself to the maiming part I don't think there's much they can do about it. Besides, I believe it's an important aspect of Akutagawa's character how... You could say‚ capricious, but overall simply untamable and unrestrainable he is. I think that although they never directly confronted about it‚ both Mori and Akutagawa know Mori has to leave Akutagawa enough freedom of action to keep him in after Dazai left. Because again‚ seriously - and that's a whole post for another time -‚ what is keeping Akutagawa in the pm after the dark era events? He doesn't hold any sincere loyalty to the pm like Chuuya does– his true loyalty still lies to Dazai beyond what even Akutagawa himself acknowledges. He can't fear pm retaliation like virtually any other member would, because he's objectively powerful enough that wouldn't be a problem for him. I mean who would they send after him? Chuuya? I mean they technically could‚ but it's going to be unpleasant for everyone. Tl;dr Akutagawa one day really showed up (unannounced) to Mori's office and told him that he‚ ruthless mafioso pm rabid dog™‚ wouldn't have killed anyone for six months and Mori just had to roll with it. But that's fundamentally tied to Akutagawa's whole character and his characteristics of being wild and unpredictable and especially uncontrollable. (Gin's reaction would be indeed hilarious though. Really SHE is the only person left in the pm that holds power over him I'm not joking)

I do actually believe that Akutagawa, despite not being an executive, has enough power to decide what he does and doesn’t do in the mafia. He’s the most valuable member that isn’t an executive, and one of the most powerful members overall. He’s often played a key role in the pm’s major conflicts. Mori has direct interest not to lose him. Yet Akutagawa has no real reason to stay in the pm? He joined because of Dazai, but Dazai is not there anymore. He never showed true loyalty to the pm outside of doing his job. It really is just a job for him- a job he’s quite good at doing, a job that’s perfectly fit for him, but still a job he can abandon any time. There are universes where Akutagawa doesn’t work for the pm. But that doesn't change the fact that it would be a great loss for Mori if Akutagawa left, so if Akutagawa one day is just like, “no killing commissions for the next six months”, Mori just has to deal with it. And Akutagawa – who after all has a very powerfull skill, and after Dazai left was able to climb the ranks easily – has enough authority to do that. He’s not an executive (and I firmly believe he will never become one), but he is not below executives either; in the story he’s always shown receiving orders from the organization boss directly and answering to him only.

Akutagawa is a wild beast. He doesn’t like being kept under the leash. Dazai had (and still has) complete control over him, but that’s because he’s Dazai, and because of the circumstances in which they met; that said, Akutagawa isn’t willing to let anyone else control him very easily, and after Dazai left the pm, Akutagawa stayed, but at his own conditions. Which more often than not align with the pm’s, because he’s good at killing, and gets some kind of satisfaction from it, so he’s fit for the job; but if he ever decided to temporary change the terms, to do as he pleases and not kill anyone for six months, that’s for the others to deal, because there’s no changing his mind (and you don't want to contradict Akutagawa).

AX Bungo Stray Dogs Premiere Panel Notes

Hello~ I tried to take notes while at the panel for the premiere of BSD Season 5. I did my best to transcribe what I could of the answers but there may be mistakes so please take this info with a grain of salt.

The three guests for the panel were Asagiri Kafka, Studio Bones President Minami Masahiko, and Kadokawa Producer Kurokane Chiaki.

Opening Talk

Before the episode aired, the host asked what they enjoyed about LA and Asagiri mentioned the view? and how kind the fans have been. I believe Minami talked about how he was here last year? but I did not go to AX last year so I'm not 100% on that info. Kurokane mentioned how the humidity is awful in Tokyo so LA was much nicer in that regard.

I think they also answered another question but I did not write it down rip.

Also they played the S5 trailer for us and it was really fun to watch in a live audience the screams at particular parts were funny.

What is the process of working on the Bungo Stray Dogs anime like? [i apologize my notes rly sucked for this question]

Asagiri: (He said something else I did not catch) I often think about how to make the story even more interesting and engaging. If you noticed in the episode we just watched, the ending is slightly different from the original manga, because the director had asked me to add an additional catchphrase.

Minami: BSD has a strange charisma. I remember when Kadokawa came to me with the series and I read it before sharing it with Igarashi-san and Enokido-san.

He also mentioned how usually the anime production staff works on the scripts for an anime but for BSD, Asagiri-sensei is very hands on and involved that he almost feels like a staff member of Studio Bones.

Kurakane-san mentioned the role of supporting and promoting the series but I forgot to write down the details.

This question was for Asagiri-sensei and asked about how he comes up with abilities for the different characters, I think?

Asagiri, initially: I try to focus on making them mysterious (lmao).

He also said he waits for inspiration to strike. Then he mentioned specific examples.

For Atsushi and Beast Beneath the Moonlight, the inspiration comes from the Moon over the Mountain. In the original story, the friend who has transformed into a tiger tries to save the other character from themselves. Asagiri was inspired by the relationship between the heart and the tiger in the story to come up with Atsushi's ability.

For Dazai and No Longer Human, he mentioned that the original work has a strange allure of making the reader doubt the act of living. From that, he came to think of the idea of the ability to nullify all abilities.

For Fyodor...it's a secret.

Guests' thoughts on working on season 4 and 5?

Asagiri: Being able to make it until season 3, I could sense that the passion and fire from the fans.

Minami: We wanted to deliver Bungo Stray Dogs to more people who didn't know about the series. One big change we made was to the main visuals for the new seasons. The older seasons tended to have more calm and but we chose more action-oriented visuals for season 4/5 to better capture attention.

Kurakane: We also wanted to focus on attracting the attention of a broader audience (new fans) and so for season 4, we made a 3 minute video that recaps seasons 1-3, which was received very well. Currently, we are running a campaign where we post highlight clips of all 55 current episodes. This was also targeted at fans who may have drifted away from the series, so that it would be easier for them to return to BSD.

What to look forward in season 5? (to Asagiri)

Asagiri: Everything (said in English.)

Then he went on to say I would like the viewer/fans to specifically think about the relationship? between justice and terrorism. What does justice mean? What does it mean to be the enemy? If you were justice, what would you do? If you were the enemy, what would you do?

What was your reaction to Season 4 and 5? (also to Asagiri)

They have made an phenomenal series. Five seasons. There are few people who can say their work has been adapted into five seasons of anime and it is all thanks to you guys (the fans) for your passion for the series.

What future projects would you like to work on together?

Asagiri: Season 6! A movie? I will continue to do my best to continue to deliver an interesting series to you.

Minami: (turned to Asagiri-sensei and said in a dramatic voice) Please let me read more material!! If you don't give me anything to adapt, I can't proceed!

Kurakane: The stage plays that have spanned six and a half years just ended last night. With that, I do feel a bit of relief on the workload. But I will continue to find new forms in which to deliver Bungo Stray Dogs series to you all.

Final note, all three of the guests were so enthusiastic and passionate about this series it was really lovely to see. I cannot capture the intonation of specific comments from Asagiri-sensei but he was rly funny. The episode was incredible and I genuinely am so excited for the new season! If anything sounds awkward I apologize; that’s on me and my translation skills.

massive apologies to all the tanizakiheads seeing me in this tag every other day but now that we have confirmation he and naomi arent even siblings, ive been looking back and just. realizing how weirdly their whole relationship is written BEYOND the alabama shit?

this is also gonna be a teensy bit long because i cannot shut the fuck up, anyways warning for mentions of s/a + some panels of That and incest. also naomi likers proceed with caution, i really dont even dislike her to be honest but the point of this post is to point out the really weird way her actions are written, so if u dont wanna see that then. there

so. ive realized that basically no part of their "activities" is written explicitly as being consensual on junichirou's end, and im unsure if asagiri even did this intentionally because its just. never talked about and also constantly treated like just a running gag

like maybe this is just the translation im reading but id say that it actually implies moreso that the stuff behind closed doors is nonconsensual rather than the opposite, the language used especially by junichirou really implies that theres at least something questionable in regards to that aspect, i.e. this page in chapter 15 right before naomi was taken into annes room by lucy

right before this is naomi saying that junichirou claimed hed "do anything she wanted", which. yeah im not gonna pretend like that isnt just supposed to be some haha funny kink joke, but junichirou claiming that she "forced" him to do something combined with that forms some really unsavory implications that i, again, dont think were intentional on asagiris part

and this continues through their interactions in the earlier chapters; every single time they talk about some kind of unspoken thing that happened between them, its always phrased like this. ive seen a considerable number of people in my time lurking over arguments online claim that junichirou is in on it because of this panel;

and while. firstly that isnt how consent works - second, since this entire fandom sees their relationship as weird in one way or another and not just funny like asagiri hoped we would and im coming at this from the same angle, this seems more like him trying to let her down softly instead of saying she can do whatever in private, since they were in the middle of an investigation at this point. "not here", at least to me, doesnt imply that hes chill with it in private, but that he just doesnt want whatever to happen in public based on the way its been written

and obviously this isnt even bringing up the fact that one of the first scenes we see of them just earlier in ch3 involves naomi groping junichirou in the middle of uzumaki cafe, because that obviously IS nonconsensual and its just. brushed off. like kunikida tells atsushi not to question it and then they just move on. its very obvious that asagiri wrote it this way because it was supposed to be a gag, but seemed completely unaware of the completely godawful implications of this situation just because its happening to a man. junichirou is visibly uncomfortable in all of these scenes, its heavily implied that theres a lack of consent beyond just the scenes on screen, and then its never brought up again because its supposed to be a "joke"

i dont know. i just wanted to point this out because from my personal perspective as a man whose also a victim of sexual harassment, particularly from a family member, this is the way it came off to me and ive been thinking about this for a bit. dont idolize asagiri thats the moral of the story here mans weird as shit

ADA/PM/DOA- Water Bottle On Ceiling Fan Challenge

I was scrolling through TikTok and I saw a video of people playing this challenge and getting the bejesus out of them so here we go! FYI, only some characters will be included because there’s a lot-

Armed Detective Agency

Dazai:

Definitely the one who started it, “Everyone! I have discovered a new way to train our instincts and reaction time on unsuspecting sneak attacks!.” The most bullshit lie I’ve ever heard in my life somehow convinces everyone to participate. He puts blindfolds on everyone’s eyes to supposedly simulate the “sneaky and unsuspected” part. He then turns on the fan, sits down and enjoys the show while recording for “research and review” purposes.

Kunikida:

At first, he was very suspicious about this “new way” of training especially because it was brought up by Dazai, but he decided to give in to the curiosity and participate when he thought about how beneficial it could be. He was skeptical on the whole blindfold thing but once Dazai explained how it was needed to simulate “unsuspected sneak attacks” he actually thought it was smart and reasonable. Definitely takes it way too seriously and gets irritated and a bit red when he keeps getting hit straight in the face. Dazai definitely changed the setting to the highest one specifically for Kunikida, he tries to maintain his calmness and find a way to avoid the water bottle by memorizing the movements. All in all sucked at it at first but ended up doing pretty good. (Once he found out it was all a prank by Dazai to just have fun, he definitely smacks the bejesus out of him R. I. P. Osamu Dazai).

Atsushi:

Poor boy, he almost had stars in his eyes when he heard that Dazai had found a way to train for sneak attacks. He immediately accepted, he couldn’t turn down an opportunity to improve. Especially in something as sneak attacks which is something he still needs to work on. As Dazai was explaining the rules he couldn’t help but low key be suspicious and hesitant but hey cmon it’s Dazai, he always had weird plans that somehow always worked. At first, man’s could not catch a break, he got smacked by the bottle left and right. After some quick thinking he uses his tiger hearing to track the movement of the bottle, he swiftly moved his head to avoid the bottle and did a relatively good job. He was so proud of himself and actually believed that it helped him improve quite a bit.

Kenji:

He asks no questions and happily agrees. He thinks it’s a weird activity city people do so he just goes along with it, a big smile on his face. My guy does not understand the assignment, he just stands there and lets the bottle hit him. Dazai laughs and says “Kenji you’re doing it wrong!.” “Oh!” Is all he says before punching the shit out of the bottle. He was very proud of himself and thought he did so well. Everyone was flabbergasted and just stared at the new hole on the wall. After that, Kunikida lectures him about punching things carelessly without thinking.

Port Mafia

Tachihara:

Once he found out about this challenge he just knew he had to tell everyone about it. Somehow manages to convince everyone by saying whoever the winner was, they would be considered “the best port mafia member”. After hearing that, everyone was instantly intrigued and determined to prove that they were the best. Tachihara was the organizer so he was the one who kept score and put blindfolds on everyone. (He definitely changes the setting for specific people, Mf finds it funny when they get hit).

Higuchi:

My poor baby, she only agreed to it because she wanted to impress Akutagawa. She made sure to keep her guard up and took it very seriously. She swears it was rigged when the bottle kept hitting her straight in the face, she starts to move her head around to dodge but Tachihara changed the setting causing it to still hit her. She still managed to dodge the bottle a few times and didn’t do too bad. She was definitely embarrassed and prayed that Akutagawa only saw the parts where the bottle missed her. Made sure to make Tachihara pay for changing the setting on purpose.

Akutagawa:

Thought the challenge was stupid and was a waste of time but once Tachihara mentioned how it would show everyone he was superior, he agreed. My guy was so (¬_¬) faced the whole time. When the challenge started, he dodged the water bottle easily and kind of building a rhythm. It was when someone yelled “pretend Dazai is watching” where my boy froze. The bottle hit his face, “RASHOMON”, in a millisecond the bottle was cut in half and water fell everywhere. Akutagawa stood there for about 4 seconds in silence, walked away and sat down, “not a single word.”

Chuuya:

When he heard about the challenge, he was confident that he would easily beat it. Man fr says out loud “step aside losers, your superior and best port mafia member is here, now let me show you how it’s done.” He dodges the bottle effortlessly and even laughs about how easy it is. But once Tachihara turns up the setting, that confidence is nowhere to be seen. “Hey what th-“ *SMACK* right on his face. My boy freezes, no words or movement. This Mf right here, when he heard about the challenge he just KNEW he had to try it with the rest of the DOA. He begs and literally PLEADS with everyone to do it. Promises a prize in the end (something dumb probably like a $2 gift card for radio shack). Everyone just agrees to make him stfu after he starts wailing “PLEASE I PROMISE ITLL BE FUN, PLEASE OH CMON”. He promises it will all be a fair game (he lied).

Sigma:

He’s. A. Victim. He just agrees because Fyodor told him to. “Agreeing to play this challenge is the only way to shut him up, so just accept.” He is so confused and has no idea what to do so Nikolai just puts the blindfold on him and drags him to the middle. My guy just stands there with a (ಠ_ಠ) face. Once the challenge starts he immediately gets hit. “What th-“ *SMACK* straight in the face. He just looks around frantically and gets smacked again, Nikolai turned the settings all the way up istg, “NIKOLAI THIS ISNT FU-“ *SMACK* my guy starts waving his hands around in a panic and just squats down at that point ─=≡Σ((( つ＞＜)つ Nikolai is just in the back laughing his ass off. Fyodor:

He knows what the purpose of this challenge is from the start, he knows Nikolai just wants to get a good laugh but he agrees anyway. Thinks it’s pretty dumb and a waste of time but what can you do. Nikolai puts the blindfold on him and starts the challenge immediately. He easily knows where the bottle is, where it will be, and when. So he dodges it easily without fail. (Nikolai is kind of unsatisfied so he turns up the setting to at least get one hit in). Fyodor knows that the setting has been turned up and why, so he just lets the bottle hit him. “Oops, I guess I lose”. Nikolai knows he did it on purpose so he considers it as cheating. “THATS CHEATING! Ugh fine atleast i got to see sigma get hit hehehe!-“

oh my god UMMM okay. lets talk about gojo satoru.

a lot of the fandom believes that he only cares about geto and that frustrates me a lot because while yes, a lot of gojo's reckless decisions are based on geto and he always looks to him for guidance, it has been shown time and time again that gojo cares for many others. he would not sacrifice his students to save geto. he is selfish, but he is not irrational. gojo loves his students. he loves nanami and shoko. we've seen how affected he is at nanami's death, the pure rage at the higher ups who wanted to kill yuta and now yuuji, how highly he thinks of megumi and his power etc. he believes in creating a future for jujutsu society that isnt corrupt, one which his very own students will run. while stsg share an undeniable bond, so deep that gojo is still paralysed by geto's body even after years of not seeing each other again, he would not choose geto over what he believes is the saving grace of jujutsu society. gojo will fight and scream and sink his fangs into whatever he can to get geto back, but his love and loyalty is not limited to just that. at the end of the day, hes the strongest, and he is lonely. why would he abandon those he keeps dear to his heart? for geto? that would go against his character and the future he is working so hard to create. he can love more than one person

It became hard to enjoy things without a mackerel annoying your ass about any subject every aching hour. An unrequited reminder of how lovely it is without a suicidal person nagging you about women who don't share an interest in, a very romantic double suicide attempt.

 

Yet, despite everything Dazai has done, Chuuya can't help but imagine what the only 18-year-old really felt about him after Oda's death. Even going to wonder if he should have left with Dazai.

The heavy wine bottle Chuuya finished off after Kouyou had left his apartment without daring to drink a drop was now empty. Everything felt weary, and the room felt sick to look around.

God, why was he such a lightweight?

 Chuuya had seen Dazai not too long ago, a few months now. Dazai had been captured by the Black Lizards again. It all felt weird; he felt like he maybe missed Dazai. It didn't really matter. If he wanted to see that loser, he knew exactly where he would be. On his way over to watch Chuuya in his sleep, 

 In. His. Sleep. 

 What a fucking bastard! 

 Who watches others sleep? It was just another bad habit Dazai had picked up after he found himself with no real duties because he bids off his work to Atsushi or Kunikida. There were even times when Akutagawa denied his work for Chuuya because Dazai had asked him for something stupid like groceries or maybe some new bandages; his did really smell after all. Like, awful. 

 Normally, on a night like this, Chuuya would just go pick up a prostitute when he got this drunk. However, since he had Kouyou over, it really was just too late to have a stranger in his bed without waking up with them in his bed. Women just weren't fun to him. Why would you want to be tiny and 'dainty'? Chuuya always wanted to be bigger himself; even if he was a man and that's considered normal, he didn't want to be weak like that. 

 Chuuya had lost his virginity to Dazai, a reminder not to trust a guy to take you for a 'friendly' drink after going to the arcade. It really pissed Chuuya off sometimes. Who just takes someone's virginity when they're drunk out of their mind? Dazai aside, sex just wasn't the same. Chuuya wanted the ache back in between his legs. He wanted to wake up with pleasure still coating the air in his bedroom. 

 It only ever happened with Dazai. 

 Chuuya sometimes still got off to the thought of giving Dazai pleasure. Holding him in his arms till they both actually fell asleep. Rubbing his scars in the places where his bandages got loose enough to show them. It really wasn't that bad. Most of Dazai's scars were from deep cuts, not rope; they were not keloid scars, just pale lines. 

 Subtle intimacy was what they both needed more of in life anyway. Especially with what the Port Mafia and Mori can do to a man. Standing behind Chuuya, playing with his hair, also secretly tying his hair in little knots. In return, Chuuya rubs circles into his hands or thighs. 

 Were their acts actually subtle? 

 No. 

 It's okay, though. Nobody really batted an eye, even at important meetings. After all, he was working with Moris demon prodigy. Chuuya and Dazai were Mori's star showstoppers in the Port Mafia. Still, nonetheless, when Dazai left, it changed, as everyone could tell. Chuuya drank more and started lashing out at the lower ranks; it also didn't help that he couldn't go corrupt on missions now that Dazai was gone. 

 God, Chuuya was getting a funny feeling in his head and stomach now that he was thinking of Dazai, his past partner. Most embarrassingly, he felt blood rushing down there. Chuuya internally groaned, reaching down to palm down at his half-hard crotch. 

"Fuc-" 

The mackerel flopped through the window.

"WAIT, WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU HERE? YOU STUPID WOMANIZING BASTA-"

Chuuya hadn't noticed because of his little reminiscing moment; Dazai had somehow, apparently, already been watching him. Even though Chuuya was sure, he closed his curtains. Dazai tumbled through Chuuya's window ungracefully, quite frankly, in Chuuya's eyes, stupidly. Very, very stupidly. 

Chuuya hastily stumbled up and off the couch, stumbling over to try and literally kick Dazai out of his house. 

 "Whoa there, Fido!" 

Dazai rolled on the wooden floor to avoid Chuuyas kicking fit. Dazai grumbled standing up, chastely dusting off his coat, well mumbling comments on how the short people of this world are always so much more aggressive for no real reason. 

 ".. Somebody's in a bad mood."

 "Yeah? Well, nobody told me I had a trash delivery on my fine night at my home."

Dazai let the comment go through one ear and out the other, quickly moving his attention onto something else in the room so that he could ignore Chuuya's obvious slurring as he tried back-mouthing him. His eyes quickly latched onto the unopened, expensive-looking wine. Expensive is Chuuya's favorite when he really needs to distress after a day gone on to long. It just so happens that Dazai's favorite drink at the moment happens to be anything that Chuuya values or has saved to drink at times. It feels like that kind of time, right?

"Ooooh, Chuuuuuuya!~" 

"You are not drinking, my 89 Petrus." 

Dazai didn't listen; he went and opened Chuuyas wine. As Dazai took speed over to the wine bottle and back to Chuuya's couch, Chuuya just stood there speechless. Did this loser really just do that? Why the hell would he even dare touch the wine? 

Dazai got comfortable on the couch, making sure to sit on the leftmost cushion, Chuuya's favorite spot. "Coooome on, Chibi, have a drink with me!" Dazai said that like Chuuya could drink anymore; he was shaking where he was standing in the room, just staring at Dazai. However, how bad could one more glass hurt? Just one. 

Chuuya decided just one glass with him wouldn't be all that bad. 

Chuuya stumbled over the couch, landing right next to the person currently invading his beloved drinking time. Dazai pulled him closer softly, having it so Chuuyas head was resting on his chest. Chibi could be a friendly drunk if you give him a little time. Dazai gently petted his head, and Chuuya, in return, wrapped his hands around Dazai's waist. Serene moments like this between the two were rare, especially because a certain bag of bandages could not sit still for the life of him sometimes. "Mmm~ Dazai, you're so fluffy." Chuuya was clearly out of his mind. However, they do say drunken words speak for sober thoughts.

"Oh my Chibi, you're really drunk, aren't you?" Dazai gave Chuuya's head a little pat and kiss, then grabbed his legs, moving them up on the couch so that his head was now lying in his lap. Chuuya started nuzzling his head into his lap. This, however, only weakened the others will to not just jerk off to the ginger right now. 

As Chuuya felt something stiffening against his neck, knowing what it was, he started mouthing against Dazai's crotch. The ugly brown-haired doofus's breath hitched, melting into Chuuya's touch. 

Now, having started to straddle Dazai's lap, Chuuya started grinding on his thigh, savoring the little clothed friction against his shaft he was getting. "Oh Chuuya, if only you could see yourself right now.." Dazai could make out the shape of Chuuya's hard on through his tight pants, already leaking pre-cum and making a wet spot on his pant. Dazai was totally going to laugh in Chuuya's face the next time they saw each other.

Tachihara and the Book

Spoilers under the cut for S4

Tbh, I’m sure someone must’ve said this already and I just haven’t seen it yet, but I love the scene where Tachihara realizes that the government was being played and that the ADA is innocent because for me it says a lot about his character and who he considers himself to be, which might be a stretch but that’s what it felt like to me.

By now, we all know that Tachihara is a hunting dog, that is fact, and yet, he managed to break out of the effect of the book as Fyodor had written that all law enforcement would not believe any of the Agency’s attempts at proving their innocence. Although, I wouldn’t actually say he broke out of it, and instead I would say he either dodged, or curbed the effects.

By fact and position, Tachihara is law enforcement, very high ranking too and it was written that specifically law enforcement would not believe proof of innocence, so what does that say about Tachihara? Under normal circumstances, it should have worked because for all intents and purposes, Tachihara is part of the government.

I think that it did not work on him because he did not consider himself law enforcement anymore, and a lot of other people do not think of him as such as well.

I’m not sure if I’m stretching it there, but I have my reasons.

For the book to have been able to affect him in that way, it makes sense that other people and himself must believe that he was law enforcement; but we can see that his opinions on his stance wavers when Hirotsu describes him as “Mafia among Mafia”. They truly believed that he was right where he belonged and, in a way, so did Tachihara, before that of course but when Hirotsu said that it seemed as if Tachihara was finally realizing himself, who he is and where he belonged.

Before all of that, when we first see him revealed as the fifth Hunting Dog, I had this strange feeling that he was beginning to struggle with who he was. He wasn’t as ruthless when dealing with criminals as the rest of them were, it’s obvious by the fact that he spared Yosano despite their history and his feelings. He spared her when the others would most certainly not.

He had gotten used to being in the mafia, he had felt natural. The way he held himself was far looser, more relaxed, brash and natural than how he did as a hunting dog, as you can see that he took on a bit of stiffer disposition. Hell, in certain scenes with Teruko, he distinctly reminded me of Atsushi and Tanizaki, but that was mostly in the way he reacted to Teruko’s enthusiasm and bloodlust.

Tachihara began to realize what he truly wanted and it wasn’t to be better than his older brother or be his opposite. It felt more like he was looking for his sense of self, who he was without his brother or the reputation, or his feelings of revenge, as if he were on a hunt for himself, the him that he didn’t actually know.

People believed him to be a role model to many mafia members, a true mafioso down to his muscles and bones, and he didn’t feel that it was wrong, he wasn’t repulsed by the idea, he was accepting, he was okay with the idea, it was what he accepted himself to be and that’s why the book’s affects were dodged.

The mafia was not law enforcement and that was exactly what he thought of himself as, he was mafia no matter what.

Also, a funny little thing I noticed that he thought “The government has it wrong” and not “We have it wrong” which feels like a distinct isolation of himself from the government. But I’m not sure if it means much.

I’m not sure if any of this makes sense because I wrote all this on a whim (like how I write everything but this one feels especially strange to me, I know what I’m thinking but putting my thoughts into words is hard) but I hope this makes some kind of sense? And really, don’t believe what I say, these are just speculations and I’m probably wrong anyway-
