Season 2 thoughts on character growth, and whether there was any...

I respectfully disagree with some of the viewpoints that the choices made at the end of s2 brought the characters right back to where they were, or that it undid all the growth they went through during s1.

The MAIN reason I say that, is this:

The final scene mirrors the bandstand scene SO much.

Crowley is asking them to run away together, and Aziraphale is saying they can't. Or, he won't.

Crowley is not tied to either side, he is tied to "us". Aziraphale is tied to Heaven.

But it's not the SAME argument. At the bandstand, Aziraphale is pushing Crowley away. Crowley WON'T and CAN'T join him in Heaven, but Aziraphale cannot find it within him to leave. Heaven is the source of good! It is godly! It is everything just and right in the world! He has to do a lot of gaslighting to himself to believe that, but that's where he's coming from.

He's telling Crowley it's over, they're not on the same side, they can't be together.

The argument in the bookshop is very, very similar, but fundamentally different.

This time, they are both screaming their love for one another. They are not TRYING to push the other away, they are both pulling on opposite ends of the rope trying to pull the other one back to them.

Aziraphale still has not let go of Heaven, but this time he makes it clear: Heaven is BROKEN. Heaven SHOULD be all of those things that Aziraphale thought it was, but it isn't. But maybe he could fix it. And he doesn't want to fix it alone -- he WANTS Crowley, he NEEDS Crowley.

In season 1, Aziraphale's mindset was, "I just have to talk to the right people, and THEY will fix everything."

In season 2, Aziraphale's mindset is, "There are no right people, we have to BE the right people. I can fix Crowley, and then WE can fix everything and Crowley and I could be happy together."

That's not to say there aren't things that have stayed the same, things that they haven't learned yet and still need to.

I think one of the things that Aziraphale doesn't understand yet though -- and one thing that he STILL needs to realize -- is that the problem isn't in the labels. One thing that has remained the same is that Aziraphale still sees them as an angel and a demon, and if only he could "fix" this for Crowley, everything would be better, all of that demonic trauma will go away, and Crowley can be the joyous angel he was.

Crowley's side of the argument is very similar, but also different. He hears everything Aziraphale has to say about Heaven, and still opens up to him. He still pours his heart out about his feelings and how they should be together. He doesn't put the walls up until the very end, and even then, even then -- he doesn't just leave immediately like he did before. He kisses Aziraphale, he shows him just what exactly is on the line, and then he watches Aziraphale go.

He isn't going to let Aziraphale just make this decision without having to look him in the face as he does it. He stands by the Bentley, and makes it clear that HE is not the one walking away this time -- Aziraphale is. He can't be in the bookshop anymore -- and what kind of sanctuary is it now anyway -- but he hasn't gone anywhere.

What he still doesn't understand is Aziraphale's point of view. He understands his own point of view, having presumably seen a high-level view of Heaven, one in which he was asked to create, but never told "oh no not like that" until it was too late. Aziraphale was evidently told that. From the very beginning, Aziraphale understands that one mustn't ask questions, he understands that it is not HIS position to create.

Crowley says that extreme sanctions were something they just joked about to scare the cherubs. He has access to high-level material. He clearly has seen Heaven from a privileged vantage point, and he fell from that high place. Aziraphale's demeanor tells me his position was closer to Muriel's -- respect the higher authorities. What Heaven is now, was what Heaven has ALWAYS been for Aziraphale.

Heaven is flawed to Aziraphale, but as a whole it is not that different from the Heaven that was, when Crowley was happy there. I don't think that Crowley understands why Aziraphale doesn't understand why he can never go back. I don't think he understands why Aziraphale can't see that it isn't just the fall that hurt him, because Aziraphale doesn't feel the enormity of what Crowley lost.

What is interesting is that now Aziraphale will get to see, when he's "in charge". I think that season 3 will see that growth in both of them -- I think Aziraphale will finally understand that perspective.

And I could also see that maybe Aziraphale will find a way to make a difference. Maybe it irrevocably changes Heaven and Hell forever. Either way, I bet it will take both of their perspectives together to make it work, and both of their perspectives will change for the better so they can finally let go of everything that happened and finally be fully free together.

Here's a thought... the protective wing moments aren't actually totally what Crowley is describing in the scene in the pub, from what we have seen of them, but it is pretty obvious that Crowley's talking about when he fell in love with Aziraphale, soooo... what if the wing moment in Eden wasn't the vavoom moment? What if S2 is trying to tell us that it was during The Flood? And... maybe what if it's a S3 flashback scene?

Crowley says this about this moment we all know was about him lol and not just from films...

They *look into each other's eyes* being the key thing here, right? And also *both* of them, ideally. It is a *shared* moment. The thing about the wing protecting scenes is that, in both of them, both Crowley and Aziraphale look straight ahead at the first celestial and, later, rain, storms. There is a storm and there is, for *one* of them, a sudden canopy, each time, but it's not the both of them *together* forced under a canopy from a sudden storm and then looking at *one another*, right? But when else could this have happened that is mentioned in S2? The Flood. Mentioned in the Job minisode.

Aziraphale shows up and says "It's you. Oh, dear me, haven't seen you since what... The Flood?" and Crowley agrees but also the scene we've seen so far circa The Flood is the "you can't kill kids" bit of it, which thematically ties to the Job episode. We didn't see The Flood itself (yet).

Aziraphale is *sure* by the Job era that Crowley won't kill Job's kids-- children or goats alike. Crowley makes an effort to fake it but it's the events of The Flood that led them to team up in the Job story. Yeah, running into Crowley before the start of it would maybe count but also if Crowley had then just left after that conversation, how would Aziraphale be so sure by the Job era that Crowley wouldn't kill the kids or animals? He wouldn't be, right? Crowley had to have stayed during The Flood. He then would have been there with Aziraphale, with both of them trying to save as many as they could, when the sudden storm forced them at one point to take shelter under a canopy, probably with some they were trying to rescue and, unlike during the celestial storm or in Eden, they weren't looking out at the storm but, finally, into one another's eyes and... vavoom.

They knew they were made for each other.

(Adding to this theory is that when Crowley tries his Awning of a New Age to make Maggie and Nina fall in love, it's a steadily increasing storm until he *accidentally weathers too much and turns it into a flood*, almost as if he's thinking about him and Aziraphale and it causes him to mess up his miracled weather... however? It also *still worked*, since even if Maggie and Nina didn't get together exactly yet, this is the still their vavoom moment.)

Crowley and Aziraphale both had moments of attraction and shielding one another with a canopy in scenes before this-- Before the Beginning and Eden-- but they both actually fell in love during The Flood and Crowley knows it. He knew it then and he knows Aziraphale knows. Maybe it took forever for them to admit it to themselves, especially Aziraphale, but they both know now in the present in S2.

So Crowley is all ok, so you want a romantic scenario for us to make Nina and Maggie realize they're in love? Let me describe the moment *we* did. Work with me, Angel, I'm trying to be romantic here...

Aziraphale: But they're humans, not us, dear, doesn't seem very likely. Jane Austen!

Crowley: We are way more like the humans than you think and we are on a date in the pub and I'm trying to talk about when we fell in love and was hoping for the sparkly eyes and the melting sigh and an "oh, Crowley" and what I got was "not likely". Brb throwing myself off the roof.

Last book: human acts by han kang but it's been a while since i picked up that book tbh, i think by the start of this year, as i haven't had much time and motivation to read anything more. it's such a beautifully written and thought provoking book- anyone who hasn't read it yet should. i think i'll continue reading lapvona next (my taste in books is very questionable 😹)

Last movie: venom 3... i cried in the goddamn cinema omg, right next to my a friend (for reference, i never once cried in cinema) who's left absolutely clueless lmao, but SYMBROCK MY BELOVED and i just started "woman of the hour"

Last TV show: the fiery priest s2: god i love the directing this season, the camera work is very entertaining (the staircase scene in ep1 hello???) as well is the editing- they already improved from s1 in such a short time, and don't get me started on kim namgil's insane acting and how he still does his own stunts. miseinen mijukuna oretachi wa bukiyo ni shinkochu: this one already had me in a chokehold by episode 1, what a beautiful JBL that tackles so many issues at once (domestic abuse, child neglect, academic pressure, loneliness, ignoring of own feelings, superficial friendships) the acting is a soldi 10/10 and the editing? oh the editing dont get me started.

Sweet/spicy/savory: what ever doesn't make my tummy hurt 😓 but if i had to choose its savory

Ineffables in Check (The Consequences of the Metatron's First Move)

Part 3 of 8 in The Chess Moves Theory Set by @wistfulnightingale

As we moved closer and closer to the heart wrenching ending of S2 of Good Omens, there were moments that we thought about later, even after rewatches. Some, because they were especially sweet, or emotionally beautiful, or had a foreshadowing clue in them. There are also scenes we sometimes ponder because there was something about it that didn't make sense. A weird tonal shift, or change in pacing, or character inconsistency. Was it a writing glitch? Did we miss something?

I've taken a deep dive in recent months... (I'd say "Send Help!" but I've been enjoying it waaaay too much!). It started with one singular observation I thought could actually be a theory (The Circle Kiss Theory). But I wanted to make sure everything made sense, at least enough to make it worth proposing as more than headcannon. One thing led to the next, and I kept noticing scene after scene that had odd little inconsistencies. I began to wonder if there was a common thread that connected the weirdness.

Such as when, in Episode 5, Aziraphale rushes away looking extremely stiff and anxious after inviting Nina to the meeting. Then Crowley, The "Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy," acts like he never even had a flickering thought of being in love with Aziraphale. (I talk about their relationship status in An Old Married Couple.)

Next, Crowley is suddenly brooding about Jim/Gabriel, despite having had a lovely comfortable time with him while trying to inspire Va-vooms the other day. Our demon then goes on the attack with Jim. Sure, he's still concerned, but what suddenly inspired that degree of protective rage?

That evening, our hopeless romantic Aziraphale is not only acting hopelessly besotted, he seems to be acting ridiculously foolish. Nina tells him there is danger out there, and Crowley announces demons on the doorstep -- and all Azi wants to do is dance! Is he really that witless or imprudent, this angel who solved the mysterious Agnes Nutter prophecies in a day, and who stood ready to stand against Satan himself with a flaming sword?

And the next morning, when Crowley returns from Heaven, why did Azi say, "You came back!" with such relief? Not, "Where were you?" or "Why didn't you come back?" Curiouser and curiouser...

Investigating all this, I made an absolutely bonkers discovery that I think connects it all and can make these scenes make sense. If I'm right about the stocky white-haired guy with the dark overcoat in the coffee shop behind Nina, I think the Metatron came early, in Episode 5. (Breathe, please! Don't hate me!) Please check out The Metatron Misdirection, Part 1 of my theory set, for lots of screenshots and reasons I think it's possible.

If this is true,  it began a series of moves in a deadly serious game of chess between himself and our Ineffables. Suddenly, the stakes are raised, and Aziraphale and Crowley are no longer just trying to outmaneuver foolish archangels -- the most dangerous celestial authority that exists is on to them... In chess terms, they have been put in check. There is a looming threat that they must escape, and try to turn the board in their favor. It ripples through the scenes that follow.

We didn't see it all coming -- but our Ineffables did.

(If you haven't read Parts 1 & 2 of my Chess Moves Theory yet, I reeeally recommend you look at those first, or this could get confusing. If not, bear in mind that everything I'm about to talk about is based on the belief that Aziraphale and Crowley saw the Metatron through the coffee shop window during their sidewalk conversations with Nina in Episode 5. Also the belief that our Ineffables are basically An Old Married Couple.)

Seeing the Metatron's unannounced presence in Nina's shop was an unexpected shock. A happy, playful afternoon crumbles into worry. When the awkward interaction with Nina ends, Crowley takes off in the opposite direction from Aziraphale in hopes that the Metatron didn’t see their playfully familiar interactions earlier.  Just another collegial encounter, he hopes.

When Azi encounters him later at the cafe, Crowley has been sitting there watchfully brooding. (It's an excellent vantage point to keep track of who's inside the coffee shop, btw.) Remember how, when Crowley signals to him from his table, Aziraphale looks around first, like "Who, me?" That seemed odd, didn't it? Who else would Crowley be calling to? Azi then approaches rather stiffly, and speaks tersely. "I'm at work, and I have a meeting..." He also looks back at the bookshop several times, before he finally relaxes.

I propose that Azi needed to make sure the Metatron was gone, that he purposely made it look like a casual and rather unpleasant business contact until he knew it was safe. The angel then double checks the bookshop, even after he sits down, to be certain the Metatron isn't there. Only then does Azi relax. He's so relieved that he teases and flirts with Crowley, hoping to ease his demon's worry.

"Why don't you wait inside? You like waiting inside." This sweetly odd comment also caught our attention. I believe it was part of their special coded communication. "My dear, I know you're worried. I worry about you as well. Rather than risking yourself here in the open, watching in case he returns, I'd much rather you go to the bookshop. You'd be much safer there, it's protected." (I examine this scene further in Part 5, Nothing Lasts Forever)

Seeing the Metatron has also made our vigilant demon uneasy -- perhaps he put down his guard too soon regarding Gabriel. The last we saw of Jim and Crowley together, they were happily discussing va-vooms and deciphering tempests. Now Crowley is worried and uncertain. He sees himself as the rescuer, the protector. Because of the Metatron, his uncertainty escalates into focused suspicion. Maybe Gabriel was sent by the Metatron to spy on them!

Crowley goes full demon on Jimbriel in what, otherwise, looks like an unprovoked confrontation. Only Jim's willingness to literally jump out a window allows Crowley to trust him again. Thankfully, their conversation afterwards allows Crowley to acquire some much needed information that he investigates later that night in his trip to Heaven. A successful countermove in this terrible chess game.

Things are happening fast now. Aziraphale's regency ball is that evening. The angel seemingly wants to pretend there's no danger outside, despite warnings from both Nina and Crowley. He just wants to dance with his demon. It seems silly, foolishly idealistic to ignore the threat.

Aziraphale is no fool, though. He had hoped the potential danger from the Metatron was over, and now there's a hoard of demons at the door. Is the Metatron somehow responsible? Did He send the demons? (through "the grapevine that obviously doesn't exist") Perhaps their world is about to fall apart. What seemed silly becomes sad and poignant. "You don't dance," Crowley said. They've never danced together. Aziraphale was planning to give his love the gift of a dance. The angel is desperately eager for one last romantic evening together, in case the precious peaceful fragile existence they carved out for themselves is soon to be shattered...

The next morning, when the battle has ended and Crowley returns from his trip to Heaven, a pale and exhausted Aziraphale is extremely relieved. "You came back...!" he exclaims, as if startled or surprised. He doesn't ask, "Where were you?" or "Why did you leave me alone?" Crowley had promised to not leave the angel on his own, and Azi had anticipated the Heroic Rescue. Instead, Crowley disappeared and didn't return.

It would only take a dire reason for Crowley to break his promise to his Angel. He could have "surrendered" to Muriel another time, to hunt for Heavenly information about Gabriel. Why now?? Because the stakes have become incredibly high if the Metatron is involved, and Crowley seized his chance when he saw Muriel there.

Perhaps, knowing Crowley so well, Aziraphale guessed where Crowley had gone. I suspect he did. "You came back...!" Azi knows that Crowley will always return to him, if it's in his power to do so. He wasn't afraid that Crowley would choose not to return. He was fearful that Crowley wouldn't be able to return.

Aziraphale was afraid that Crowley had encountered the Metatron, face to face. That Crowley was no longer able to return. Or worse.

The Storer of Storer & I

Prologue

He rotted my brain in 24 hours, starting on 12-31-23 while I was getting ready to go celebrate New Year's Eve with my friends and keeping The Bear S1 in the background, only really really tuning in for eps 1, 7 and 8. The rest at that point was what I considered great nonetheless, but still just kept it on in the background because I was running late. By the next day, I ended up starting this year with a massive hangover, collapsed on a sofa, and not being able to move, so I had no other choice but to watch the entirety of S2 back to back to back. It was over by then. I was a hopeless case. I had to do a full re-watch right then and there. The first of many. I was not only hooked but also fully and devastatingly BRAINROT.

The Honeymoon phase

I tried to understand him because loving is knowing, right?

This was before S3 happened, so I went all in because I wasn't jaded by his slow-burn tactics, at that point, and because Calo was still our red string of fate that brought us together and kept us together.

So, I plunged into his waters and swam, I swim IRL, so it wasn't hard:

And then some more, right after S3 came out because I was on the fence, the love/hate relationship that I now have with him was starting to bloom and thus, our honeymoon phase was about to come to its end, but not quite so yet, so I defended his name when everyone wanted his head on their wall:

Then I tried to do a full re-watch of S3, and I COULD NOT. I still can't. He broke me. I haven't been able to yet. I could only do a re-watch of the scenes that I consider more crucial, and then cross-reference them with those that IK are related to them, from previous seasons. But that's it. Our honeymoon phase is soooooo over! And Calo is being missed. CALO COME THE FUCK BACK ASAP! YOU MAKE STORER BETTER AT THIS!

BUT

This hell he put me through gave me even more objectivity in analyzing his work. So, OK, I'll take it.

I mean is not like I wasn't objective before, I definitely was and that's how I could predict like 90% of his moves this past season:

Truthers, have mercy

The catch is that, even during this love/hate phase, I still totally understand him, I can see where he comes from and maybe even, guess where he's going.

Just like when I only loved him to pieces, I guess that's because I still admire him and in my book, there can't really be love unless there's admiration. I can do respect - like Richie - I can play nice and even help in whatever way I can, sure! Because for me none of those things require LOVE, that's the bare minimum for me, that's my default behavior unless you REALLY AND UTTERLY FUCK WITH MY PATIENCE. But LOVE, love is a different thing, I can only love those I admire and look up to and inspire me. Storer, even at his worst, checks all those boxes. His basement level is most people's rooftop.

So I guess I still love him and that's why I could appreciate his work even when I hated him at times while he tortured me with it. Mostly because I saw it coming, so I had braced myself for it but also, because beneath that THICK LAYER of hatred, there's still love and admiration for his work.

What are we? Where is this relationship going, Chris?

Neither of us knows for sure because he's basically the Zodiac killer, but what I do know is that by trying to see HIM as he is, which is what he expresses in his body of work, like any artist, obviously, and not trying to see him as I wish he was or project onto him my wishful thinking about his work, I can still understand him, no matter how much I wanna slap him half the time (the other half I wanna french kiss him).

I can still get his symbolism pretty well, I think:

Alright, so here's my thoughts on the new Helluva Boss episode! 😈🤠❄️

Everything’s tagged as #hb spoilers for those who haven't seen it yet!

Stolas & Stella confronting each other be like:

Ice King Andrealphus being the third fucking wheel, questioning why he even showed up, but staying for the literal tea

Stolas & Stella obviously hated each other from the get go, so yeah, he didn't betray no one (except maybe his daughter's trust)

COWBOY DADDY STRIKER STRIKES BACK!!! Still sad that Norman Reedus didn't return to voice him, but I kinda already had a feeling that he wouldn't return cuz 1) We didn't get to hear Striker in the S2 Trailer & I think it was confirmed that most of the cast had finished recording their lines for this season over a year ago and 2) It's understandable bc he's a busy man in the acting industry!

And besides, Ed's an awesome VA (especially with all the characters he's voiced so far in the Hellaverse), so I didn't really mind the recast!

"Um... sexy?" Yep, Stolas & the I.M.P crew know what's up! 😉

The last episode was understandable bc Loona appeared for a few seconds in the beggining & end. But they could've at least given Loona a few lines this time around, especially given the fact that she was freaking out & didn't wanna get the shot!

Overall not exactly the best episode, but it was still alright (I just mostly missed my cowboy daddy, ok?) Hopefully, the next episode does better!!!

Hey love, so I'm rewatching the show I'm thinking about the characters that haven't been paired up yet lmfao and there are some really great possible combinations here, I'd love it if we get a wlw couple maybe Isobel and Rosa or Isobel and Maria or even rosa and Maria, all three ave very intriguing to me. Isobel and Rosa had some great chemistry in those flashback scenes even though technically it wasn't Isobel the actor chemistry is still there, Isobel and Maria have an interesting if underdeveloped dynamic and Maria and Isobel could serve some friends to lovers excellence we don't have that on the show. As for Kyle, I also see him with either Isobel or Maria tbh, they would both serve, I would also love it if he was bi/pan and he had a male love interest. This is one of those rare shows where almost all the characters could be paired up in interesting ways( although I didn't necessarily ship them Liz/Kyle Maria/Michael and Kyle/Alex had wonderful chemistry in different ways as well) I would also love it if we had an ot3, there have barely been a couple of decent ones in anything ever, like that would would so good, an actual polyamorous loving relationship. The possibilities are endless I just hope they're not afraid to go there because while we're making strides in representation 99% if they already have a queer relationship will not have another one and if they do go there fingers crossed they back it up with good writing, it would be such a waste if they didn't take advantage of the overflowing chemistry between everyone, when it comes to friendships too, I want to see more interactions between everyone, strangers things has an even bigger cast of main characters and fewer episodes and they manage to give some beautiful platonic relationships. It would work here too where we have people in pairs or threes working on something together for a few episodes and then switch it up and then everyone teams up for the last 2 or three. Lol sorry for the long essay I just see endless potential because of how great and diverse the cast is as well as the possibilities mystery and overarching plot, the show has been decent so far, handling some things far better than others but it could be so much better in my opinion.

I'm really not someone to condemn an age gap, I just think that Rosa has so much on her plate, and she still has so many experiences to make, if they'd both be 10 years older respectively (and Rosa had had a chance to grow up, find a job she likes, make some life experiences of her own etc) it would for much better for me. Anyway, Lily and Amber definitely have chemistry, so who knows. I'm here for allllllllll the wlw pairings! \0/

I'm a strictly Kylex BroTP person, so that's not a pairing I'd want to see explored romantically, however, I really digged Kyle and Max sleuthing together last season! That was surprisingly good, and they had great chemistry.

And Isobel and Kyle? HELL YEAH. Sadly their best scene is from that cursed episode I'll never in my life touch again, but I've always been a huge Kybel fan. Although I have to say that Kyliz is my OTP. I know, I know, they'll never be endgame, but I love them together. And while I'm DYING to see Isobel exploring her sapphic side, Belmanes has grown so near and dear to my heart, I'm not yet willing to let go of the idea of them ending up together. 🥺

Kyle and Maria could be interesting, no idea whether the show's going to pair off more main characters with each other tho. We'll see.

And while I absolutely don't mind OT3s, I'm not exactly yearning for one tbh. And honestly, after the absolute WORST way to force one on us last season, I'm kinda violently opposed to the idea of this show ever getting another shot at pairing three people together.

I'd rather they focus on writing decent storylines for the core 8, write an EXCEPTIONAL COSMIC love story for Malex, and otherwise put in the effort of telling good love stories for the other characters - especially when they are queer storylines.

Stargirl S1 E13 "Stars and Stripe Pt.2" Season Finale Spoiler Review.

Well this will be my last review for the season sadly. So everything below is Spoilers and are somewhat my opinion so if you haven't watched the episode stop now.

Overall Episode: 10/10

Guys this is the end of S1 and I hate having to wait a year or so now to watch another episode and to see what happens.

The start of the episode oh my gosh that Satellite was epic when coming out of the ground from the football field. After the fact that Issac was beating up the person who called him a tuba turd with his tuba.

Seeing how Courtney and Pat's relationship has grown was one of my favorite scenes. Because of how Courtney admits finally that she is his daughter and it starting to break Pat out of his daze or mind control.

How Beth was able with the help of Chuck to hack into all of Gamblers bank account. And his love of money and her donating it to charity like man Beth is a good person by far. And then being able to bring back Pat and Justin for the team. She was probably the most epic in the episode out of the team without having a fighting scene.

THE FIGHT SCENE!!! My favorite overall scene in the season due to the action and how the JSA finally got Justice for the Golden Age JSA in the end. Like seriously they did that. And then how Cindy kills her father.

For a moment I believed Henry Jr. Was alive they had me there and then watching Yolanda kill him at first I was screaming and then I was so happy when it was just Henry Sr. Yolanda has gotten revenge for Henry Jr. Like damn she was impressive not being fooled by Brainwave I would have been.

STRIPE vs. Soloman Grundy was good other than Soloman Grundy tearing apart Stripe and Rick saving Pat and telling him to leave. Like man Rick has changed so much from E1.

Rick getting Justice in a sort for his parents. I do love how he spared Soloman Grundy after what he did to Ricks parents. But I feel like Rick saw something in Grundy being more innocent in a way or controlled by the ISA. Like maybe Brainwave controlled Soloman Grundy and made him do somethings.

Chuck's "death" scene was so sad I mean like I was crying for twenty minutes about this. But we will get Chuck back, and then Beth needs to get the owl Hootie I believe his name is.

Jordan confessing his love for Barbara it was beautiful in a creepy sense due to him being Evil and all. But you know we all expected it and it wasn't a bad scene it was more like Jordan your not going to win.

Pat saving Barbara. And Courtney fighting Jordan again. Until they fall and we all know how it ends him being "dead" maybe? Like who knows if he is truly dead he may have shattered but he is supposed to be hard to kill in icicle form. Even if he wasn't fully in form.

Justin leaving Blue Valley and trying to find some old friends and his steed. Like Justin deserves the best after what he has been through. And one day he will slay his dragons. And remember more about himself.

The Chirstmas scenes were also other scenes that have to be my favorite of the season and the episode. Due to it showing not only how close the team is as a family. But shows the whole emotion of what they have faced together brought them closer into a family from being strangers.

And last...Sylvester Pemberton being alive. I never suspected the scene coming because I think most of us thought we would see Icicle Jr. Or more of Cameron and Artemis. But it was a good twist leaving other things and questions of how he is alive for S2.

Some theories I have about S2 of Stargirl:

Henry King Jr is somehow Alive.

Cameron like most people believe becomes Icicle Jr. But I don't want to say he will be on one side more than another yet.

Maybe Rick and Beth becoming some what of a couple.

Eclipso will be the main villain. And I'm hoping somehow they bring in a character like Spectre and I will go further into detail in a theory post about this one later.

Icicle somehow being alive. Because part of me believes he was hurt badly but not fully killed. Their is still more they can explore with the storyline of Icicle.
