Pt. 1
You couldn't help but anxiously fiddle with the hem of your dress as you sat beside Simon, one of his hands resting on your thigh, while the other gripped the steering wheel. "It's going to be fine, sweetheart. They're going to love you." Unsure, you glanced up at him, a frown on your pretty face. "Are you sure? Maybe they'll just see me as an inconvenience that will keep you from them in the future. Or maybe they'll-" Simon interrupted you as he tightly squeezed the fat of your thigh, a possessive growl leaving his throat. "They'd never. Trust me." With a sigh, you nodded. And he was right.
From the moment you two walked into the same dingy pub where you first met, the others treated you as if they'd known you for years, and you were a part of the friend group. The entire evening, you laughed and drank, Simon's hand constantly on you. At least until he left to go take a piss and smoke a cigarette.
The moment you were alone with the three men, the Scottish one leaned across the table, a gigantic grin on his face. "So? How did ya two meet?" The older one quickly pulled the Scottish one back, a scowl on his face, as he regarded his team member, but there was a certain hint of curiosity sparkling in his eyes.
You chuckled, thinking back to the day.
Excitement cursed through you as you stepped out of the cab, your phone in your hand as you watched your best friend type. But the moment she sent her message, the excitement dissipated. "I'm so sorry, but I can't make it! I'll make it up to you though!"
You rolled your eyes, glancing at the sign of the pub you were standing in front of. She couldn't have let you know before you made your way there, could she? Inside you, two demons started to fight. One yelling at you to go back home and gulp down an entire ice cream pint. The other one calmly stating that you were already here and should at least get a little bit wasted. Before you knew it, the calm demon had won and you walked into the pub, quickly finding a place at the bar. But you noticed him immediately. Sitting in a dark corner, his face almost completely hidden. And very obviously staring at you. It didn't matter when during the evening you turned around, his eyes were always on you. At first, it creeped you out, but before long, you felt warmth spread through you. You almost felt protected, his obvious attention keeping all the usual creepers at bay. So, you decided you at least wanted his number.
But when you paid for your tab, hoping to be able to join him at his table, you watched as he stood up and walked outside. As quickly as you could, without tripping over the air, you rushed after him, finding him outside, leaning against a wall. After taking a deep breath, you started to walk over to him, but he immediately pushed off the wall and started to walk away. Were you really this repulsing?
Before doubts could start to fill you, you called out to him. "Uhm, I'm sorry, Sir?" He stopped and slowly turned around to face you. With a small and hopeful smile, you crossed the distance. The closer you got to him, the more you could really see him. While the lower half of his face was hidden behind a black surgical mask, you could see the top of his cheeks. And they were red, practically glowing with heat. Adorable.
"I'm sorry, I hope this isn't too direct, but I wanted to ask if I could have your number? You're really handsome and seem like a nice man. Of course, it's okay if not, I don't want to pressure you or anything. I-" You stopped, your eyes wide as you watched his entire body trembling slightly. Like a robot, he slowly stretched out his hand to you. Your eyes focused on it and you watched for a few beats as the trembling only got worse. Then, you quickly pulled out your phone and handed it to him.
Once again moving like a robot, the man slowly plugged in his number, his hands trembling bad enough, that you thought he would drop your phone at some point. When he handed your phone back, you looked down and saw that he had also put in his name. But it was a mix of upper and lower cases, making you chuckle. You grinned up at him and pocketed your phone. “Thank you…well…have a good night.”
You turned around and walked a couple of steps before his shaking hand on your elbow stopped you. “U-Uh…uhm…eat? Uh now?” His voice was shaking even more than his hands and he kept stumbling over his words, but when he got the question out, you couldn’t help but nod with a smile.
“And yeah, that’s it.” The Scottish and the pretty one immediately burst into laughter, slapping their thighs and each other, while the older one just smirked, slowly shaking his head. You looked at them, confused. “What…?”
“What did I miss?” Simon slid into his chair beside you, his arms loosely wrapped around your shoulders. His friends immediately started to tease him, recounting points from what you had just told them. Immediately, the blush was back on his face, and you couldn’t help but chuckle along. At least until his hand came to rest on your thigh, and squeezed tightly. Oh, you were in for a night.
A/N: Here we go! Part two and the real story all wrapped up in one! Hope you like it! Edit: Re-upload because I forgot to add tags... :)

Full disclaimer, I have to read any of the fics written for Shockwave and the kids yet as I've been busy and off Tumblr for a bit for my own mental health lol
But I recently saw a photo of an abandoned carousel in some underground area filled with puddles and it reminded me of that one deleted scene from Detroit: Become Human where the Jerry's make a broken carousel work again for Alice and they all just watched her happily play on it as the world around them crumbled.
And, with that thought, it also reminded me of Shockwave and the kids and I simply HAD to write a small drabble fic of it. Sorry if it isn't accurate for the characters or the story already made, but I hope it's enjoyed regardless :3
And, I hope, with all the angst going on, this fluffy story will satisfy yall a bit XD
[This is the post I saw that inspired me to write this, if anyone wants a visual of the place: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGog_W_vDiR/?igsh=b3FsYm50enJhM3ln ]

As the days went by, the situation they all found themselves in was slowly starting to get far too real. It was fun, at first, running around abandoned buildings and scavenging for whatever they could find, spending time with their newly acquired aquatic dad friend who kept them safe and well fed.
But then things started to show up and it scared them. Shockwave tried to avoid the areas with the most floating bodies, the children having seen enough of that (and he hoped they hadn't seen any they would recognise), but every now and then something would float up and startle them. Other times they'd run into bigger problems while scavenging and they had far too many close calls for Shockwave's liking.
They tend to keep themselves entertained, for the most part. Shockwave only occasionally indulged. But, usually, he could simply gently float on the surface of the water and let the kids tire themselves out. However, they've become more quiet lately.
It was hard to tell what caused it. Could be a myriad of things, as listed before, maybe it was finally starting to dawn on them how the situation was far from ideal. Maybe it was the conversation they had with that Orca - Jazz, was it? Shockwave couldn't tell, and it bothered him.
He missed their lively chatter (it still happened, but few and far between). A part of him was starting to wonder if the humans who called him out on the fact that this wasn't normal behaviour for human children were right, a small pang of regret reaching the back of his mind.
But he shook those thoughts away. Now wasn't the time. Nothing about their situation was normal anyway, he was already providing more than enough for them to survive this cruel world.
Shockwave was aggressively pulled out of his drifting thoughts by an ear piercing screech that immediately put him on high alert.
“Guys! Guys! Look!” He heard Skids say. Turning to look at him, he followed where the boy was pointing at.
It looked to be some kind of fair or theme part, it was a little hard to tell. Half of it was submerged, but there were some areas in which the water had receded. Shockwave relaxed once he deemed the situation safe, but still gave a small scrutinising glare at Skids for causing unnecessary concern - which went, of course, completely ignored.
“Oh wow, it looks pretty banged up, huh?” Tc noted, crawling closer to the edge of Shockwave's back to get a better look.
“But there might still be some things left over. You know how much they tend to sell in these places? And now we can just snag them!” Warp argued, already getting excited at the thought.
“Do we really need more useless things to carry around?” Trailbreaker argued, the bag he carried strangely heavier on his back.
“There are other things we could do there.” Skids quickly chimed in. “We could check out some of the games they have.”
“Would there be any still working?”
“Carnival games easy to fix, Soundwave up to the task.”
They all turned to look at Soundwave, seemingly to silently fall into an agreement.
Warp turned to face Shockwave, clasping his hands together as he pleaded. “Can we go there? Pretty pleaaaase?” Before he could even answer, the others had joined them.
He wasn't going to say no. This was the exact type of fun distraction they needed, maybe it would help them go back to their usual, energetic selves. So the theatrics were unnecessary. Still, he couldn't help the small amusement it brought him. He pretended to think it over, as if he didn't already have their answer.
“Hmm, I don't know…”
Those simple words were enough to make them all Start to plead harder, making their eyes as big as possible, throwing promises he knew they'd never actually follow through.
That broke the façade he was trying to play up, causing him to laugh. “Alright, alright. We can go.” The kids erupted into celebratory cheers, hugging each other and jumping on Shockwave's back. “But don't stray so far where I can't reach you, okay?”
They all nodded, but he only had trust in some of them to actually obey his orders.
Regardless, he swam over to the abandoned park and waited until they had slid off of him before crawling over onto land. The ground was still pretty wet, so it made it easier for him to slide around and follow them, keeping himself to the more deeper puddles when possible.
He watched as they all went to different directions with their own, small group. Tc and Warp, always tied to the hip, ran over to some of the stands that still had some prizes hanging. Windcharger and Trailbreaker followed Damus as he ran to play some of the games that didn't require power to work. And Skids and Soundwave went…
Where did they go?
Panic immediately followed the realisation. Shockwave stood up straighter and began to spin his head around in search of the two missing kids. The others didn't seem to have noticed their absence, too enthralled in their own activity.
He was about to start calling when he heard a familiar boisterous voice call from not too far. “Guys! Over here! Come see what me and Soundwave just discovered!”
Immediately, all of the attention was on Skids who had a smile so wide Shockwave was worried he'd hurt himself with it. The others looked at each other briefly before making their way over, Damus hesitating a bit before putting down the fishing rod he held and following the rest.
Shockwave did so as well, to the best of his abilities anyway. The further they went, the tighter the space became and less water reached the surface for him to easily slide around. He wanted to voice his complaint of them going too far, like he had explicitly told them not to before coming here (and really, he thought Warp would have disobeyed first before Soundwave. Skids made sense, but him?) But before he could even think of what to say, Skids noticed his struggle and seemed to remember something.
“Oh, right! Almost forgot.” He jogged over to the mer shark and gently grabbed at one of his fingers to guide him elsewhere. “There's an opening that takes you directly to the area we found. You have to swim underneath some rubble, but it should fit you.”
The boy took him to some dilapidated attraction of the park, it was too broken to tell what it used to be, but it did create an opening that allowed Shockwave to fit through perfectly fine. “Just swim straight ahead and it should take you to the area, we'll meet you there.”
Immediately, Shockwave didn't like that idea, and he didn't need to voice his thoughts for the teen to catch on, his glare doing the job just fine. “It'll be fine, don't worry! It's not that far. Less than a minute, probably less than a second for you since you're so big you'll just have to slide in and out. Besides, there's nothing here, the place is completely barren.”
Shockwave was still unconvinced.
Skids took to pleading. “Please! It'll be quick, I promise you. And worth it too! It's the exact thing we've been needing, and Soundwave put a lot of work on it. I know you don't like leaving us alone for even a second, but give it a chance?”
They stared at each other for a moment, Skids making his eyes as wide and innocent as possible and Shockwave hoping the stubborn teen would dispel this idea with his glare alone.
In the end, Skids guppy eyes were far too powerful even for a great shak such as Shockwave. And the kid was right, wasn't this what he wanted for them to begin with?
He let out a heavy sigh of defeat and reluctantly agreed to it. “Fine. I trust you, but if anything shows up–”
“We don't engage with it and call for you, yes, I know. Now go! Soundwave is waiting!” Skids ushered Shockwave to submerge himself into the large opening with the wave of his hands and only joined back with the others once he could no longer see the large mer.
One relief Shockwave had was that the tunnel formed was large enough that he could easily turn around and pop back out if he heard any of the kids in danger, though it also lacked any proper escape for him as it only had one direction for him to go. Straight ahead or backwards.
But Skids was right in saying the trip was short, he could already hear the muffled voices of his children. Soon enough, he found himself resurfacing, the lively chatter being the first thing his senses picked up on.
When the children heard the splash of water, they all turned to look towards the source of the noise, their excitement almost blindingly radiat in contrast to the dark, murky room they found themselves in.
The place was closed off by fallen buildings that created a sort of cave around them, plenty of fauna already making its home here. It was fairly empty as well, save for the large, round attraction in the middle of the room. It had horses stuck to poles inside it, a dim pink and gold decorating the whole thing, the paintings that littered it had long since faded and it was hard to tell what it once was.
“Okay, you're here, good.” Skids turned to Soundwave, who was standing next to what looked to be a control panel. “Soundwave, would you do us the honours?”
The other teen nodded, bending down to start pulling at some wires in place of pressing the buttons offered. Warp scoffed, crossing his arms and looking skeptically at his friend. “There's no power here, how in the world are you going to get it to work? I swear, if you brought us all the way here for nothing I–”
Before he could finish his sentence, a blast of music and light echoed loudly around the empty space, causing everyone to flinch back and cover their ears. Shockwave nervously looked around, worried that the loud noise might have attracted some unwanted attention. Once the shock faded, Skids ran up to Soundwave and gestured proudly at the now working carousel.
“Ta-da!”
“Wh…how is this possible!?” Warp questioned, looking at Soundwave for answers, to not only be ignored, but shoved around by the other kids who ran towards the attraction. “Seriously?! Is no one else even a little bit concerned on how this is possible?”
Tc placed a hand over his shoulder, bringing his attention to him. “Warp, just enjoy the miracle. When are we going to get another chance like this?”
Warp could only grumble. Tc was right, they wouldn't, not for a long time. That didn't mean he had to accept it though.
Shockwave watched as they all walked over and picked their favourite horse, Tc and Skids fighting over the same blue one before Trailbreaker broke their fight up and offered his to Tc, walking up to help Damus up and sit with him instead. Shockwave observed the way Soundwave continued to pick at the control panel and looked up at the other children, waiting for their confirmation that they were ready before clicking something and closing the panel. As soon as he did that, the carousel began to slowly move, the horses bobbing up and down in gentle motions, causing the kids to excitedly cheer.
Soundwave stepped on the moving platform while it was still picking up speed and sat on a random horse near Windcharger. Although not as vocal as the others, he was clearly enjoying it.
Shockwave couldn't quite get what was so entertaining about the thing. It was slow, even after it picked up some speed, and the music was painful to the ears. But that didn't quite matter, did it? They were happy, and they were having fun.
It clearly was something they knew about before the tsunami, before their civilization fell apart. A simple joy of life that they missed.
And, in a world dimmed by tragedy and destruction, where at every corner something threatens their very existence, isn't that all they could ask for?
So, in a small moment of peace, Shockwave let himself relax. He bent forward and rested his chin over his crossed arms and watched as his children sang along with the screechy music, bouncing on their fake horses and pretending they were in some high chase in their little imaginary world.
In this dreary reality, even the artificial light of a broken past could make it all worth it.

Zayne's just Dawnbreaker 2.0 except even worse because he knows you exist, but he doesn't exist in the way he needs to in order to be with you. He wouldn't do anything really besides wait for you, hoping that you'll spend some more time with him. He doesn't really think about the fact that you have a partner, ignoring it so he can live in his little pockets of time with you as they are. His life centers you, but he knows yours could never center him. He doesn't mind though - as long as he can make you happy that's all he wants.
Xavier/Rafayel hates every moment of it. He craves you with every part of his being and knowing that you're so close yet so far infuriates him. Knowing that someone else is able to be with you, touch you, love you the way he wants to above anything else haunts in in a way he never thought it could. He doesn't know what to do or how to cope with these feelings at all, forced to watch helplessly as you shower someone that isn't him in the love he's been fighting for his entire life.

Sylus hides his anger and sadness under an uncaring facade. He doesn't know what to do and feels absolutely helpless. He won't act any differently on screen but his mind is constantly racing with thoughts of how he can try to bridge this gap between the two of you. He feels like he should be able to but the sheer fact that he just...isn't real in your world bears down on him in a way he never thought it could, wishing that things were different. All he can do is hope that you're loved the way you deserve to be, even if he wants nothing more than to replace that person you call a partner.

Placing your purse down on the marble counter, you took in the large cliff side mansion you're inside of right now. The large window panels all along the kitchen wall display the beautiful bodies of water and all of the colorful homes surrounding it. Greece is really such a beautiful place - you just wish you weren't here on these terms. The terms of a honeymoon you didn't even want.
Oh but father & mother dearest know best, right? At least they think they do. Having you merge with another wealthy family is just their way of further building their empire. Of course, you have received the short end of the stick, again, being forced to marry Joel Miller - a wealthy business man with a broody attitude about him.
Speaking of, you turned around to see him carrying in your suitcases. He set them down and looked up at you. You looked away, gazing back out at the water, admiring how it glistened and called out to you. "Your father called me while I was outside, he wants to know how you're doing, so I suggest you call him soon." "Will do." "We are also to have dinner tonight, your father made us reservations in town, so dress up and look pretty."
You scoffed and looked down at what you're already wearing. It's a peachy pink flowy dress that goes down to just above your ankles. It pair with it, you're wearing sandals that your mother gifted you for your birthday a few months back. "Do I not look pretty right now." You couldn't care less if he finds you attractive or not, but seriously? This outfit is it. "You do. My apologies. Wear that then." Joel stated.
Admittedly, you blushed a little bit.
You didn't want to marry Joel, hell, you want to divorce him this instant, but he isn't the worst man. Earlier today, before the ceremony, Joel had told you he'd respect you and be there for you, which came as a surprise. Everyone told you he was an asshole who was all about work & money. Maybe he is, but he's been decent to you so far. It better remain that way.
"What time are the reservations?" "For six until seven. It's as a restaurant in the city, it's beautiful so don't worry, it'll be to your taste." "Do you think I'm some spoiled brat or something?" "Yeah." The audacity! You rolled your eyes and he smirked. "Don't roll your eyes at me." "Or what?" "You'll find out if you do it again." "Whatever." You turned back to face the windows. "I'm going to unpack my things, I advise you do the same soon." Joel said before walking off into the bedroom of the mansion - the singular one there is.
-
It's late now. Nearly 7:30 at night. You two had dinner and it was nice. Your father had made the reservations in hopes of you and Joel getting to know one another better - and you did. He does seemingly care about his work and his money but it surely isn't his life. Still, you're keeping him at bay. You're sure the two of you will be cheating on each other and despising one another in no time!
Joel is currently in the shower, you're in the room just outside of it. The bedroom is nice, it came with complimentary essentials and honestly anything you'd need for a week in Greece. You're originally from the U.S, Joel too, but your mother had you pick between either going to Spain or Greece and of course, Greece it was. That was literally the only thing you had say in when it came to your wedding, sadly.
Looking through the nighttime attire your mother packed for you to wear, you soon came to realize a theme. Literally everything is revealing. You scoffed and groaned loudly, all of the city could probably hear it. The most modest piece of attire that was packed is a short lenghted silky nightgown. The base color is pink with a lacy white trim. It's cute, but your mother obviously wants you and Joel to connect in more ways than one.
You have to work with what you have though.
You took off the clothes you were currently wearing and threw them into the basket on the other side of the room. Of course, you kept your panties on but removed your bralette - you shouldn't wear those to bed. The nightgown is comfortable. Soft & cozy. Glancing in the mirror, you smiled. You feel pretty. The sound of the shower turning off was heard and you sighed softly. Guess that's all the alone time you'll be getting.
Joel isn't a bad guy. You two just... Aren't made for one another. This is truly depressing.
Climbing into bed, you tucked yourself beneath the covers and grabbed the remote off of the bedside table. You told your father that if anything, you'll need a suite with a TV - it'll take your mind off of things. You doom scrolled through different channels until you settled on one with a cooking show. Not the best option, but it is distracting enough. As your eyes were casted upon the television, Joel walked out of the bathroom with nothing but a towel around his waist.
You were quick to look away. Admittedly, you felt wrong when looking. However, your brain is totally working against you. There's no denying he's an attractive man, because he is. You even said that to him. Attraction isn't the point though. He grabbed a pair of pajamas and began to change but in a way so you couldn't see, thank the Lord. At least he has decency!
When he was done, Joel ambled back into the room and over to the bed, where you were lying down. "Want me to take a different room? I'm sure the couch is comfortable enough." He said softly, just trying to get this ordeal done and over with. That's harsh. You won't do that to him. "No Joel, that's alright. If we're to be married for life, we better get used to this lifestyle." You snorted with sarcasm, scooching over on the bed to provide him with some room.
He nodded and sat down, running his hand through his damp hair. You couldn't help yourself - you gazed at him. Wow, he cleans up nicely. Too bad this marriage was an arranged one. You sighed deeply and he noticed. "You good?" "I'm fine. Just tired." You said softly, nestling your head against the pillows. He nodded in agreement. "Yeah, me too." He laid back and shut his lamp off, but you left yours on.
"Going to bed already?" "Trying to." He said in a deep voice, "Mind turning that TV off?" Ugh. "Not at all." You shut it off and laid back just as he did. Well, this is awkward. You're laying in bed with a man you met today, married and had dinner with. What a fucking shit show. You rolled over to face him and his eyes were already on you. Behind the bed frame is a large window, the moonlight casted down onto you two, specifically you & your face. It's pleasant, honestly.
Joel sighed deeply before clearing his throat. "You know, for what it is worth," he looked into your eyes, "I don't think you're half bad." He chuckled and looked down. You giggled and nodded. "Everyone said you were an asshole, I'll admit, I was nervous to meet you." "Eh, I definitely am an ass but to my now wife, I won't be. I can't be." He mumbled and looked back up at you, his eyes stark & piercing, making you feel a certain type of way.
That made you smile. This man isn't so bad after all. You know he'll make a good friend. Hopefully you two can sort out being with other people later, it'll be for the best. You sighed softly and viewed into his eyes once again, this time they were more gentle and kind. How sweet. "Is everything okay?" You whispered, biting your lower lip. "Of course." He nodded. "By the way," Joel smirked and looked you up and down, "that nightgown suits you well." He murmured.
That made you blush, truly. How kind of him to say. You thought the same thing. "Doesn't it? I like it a lot... Yeah, unfortunately, mother dearest only packed me... Sexual attire... So..." You snorted. "Well, that ain't so bad..." Joel said in his normal voice. "What do you mean?" "Uh," he chuckled and broke eye contact, "Nothing sweetheart, ignore me."
Sweetheart? He's calling you names now? It made your stomach heat up. You slowly nudged closer to him without even realizing it. "Sweetheart? Admittedly, I like that." You giggled and you were now closer to him, so close you could feel the warmth emitting from his jacked build. "Hah," Joel laughed, "Figured you would." His laugh is... Adorable. That laugh coming from a big burly man is the cutest thing.
Maybe you could learn to... You don't know, care for this man in more ways than one?
Joel gandered back up at you, his gaze back to that starkish glaring one but this time, there was something more in those brown eyes of his. Something of adrenaline and/or ecstasy. It made you get slightly shy, really. "Joel?-" you were instantly cut off by his lips pressing to yours in a manner you didn't expect. You moaned immediately and encased your arms around his neck, Joel quickly rushing to get on top of you.
His hands pinned yours above your head and his lips rapidly moved with yours. This escalated so fast. You can't even think straight. "Wait, wait," you kissed him back and smiled, his hands holding your wrists firmly. "Hmm?" He muttered out, beginning to kiss your neck side crazily, his lips all over, leaving marks and presses. "This is totally shocking, are we gonna?-" "Am I going to fuck you? Only if you want me to."
God damnit, why did him saying that turn you on? You're a virgin. The most you've done is suck a guy off and it was terribly embarrassing. "So, do you want me to?" Joel added, stopping his kisses and awaiting an answer. Do you? This man is your husband, yes, but only as of today. You feel nervous. "I..." "Yes or no? I won't be upset." He whispered softly, his lips so soft against your neck.
"Yes."
It came out so smoothly & simply, as if this was meant to happen. "That'a girl." Joel smirked against your neck before kissing your lips again and slipping his tongue into your mouth, allowing it to intertwine with yours. It felt good. He makes you feel good. Unfortunately, this is a battle of Lust vs Love and lust is heavily taking over. Either way though, you're too deep now to back out and really, you don't even want to. You want him to take your purity - he is your life long partner now.
As the two of you kissed, it was a heated one. You haven't kissed someone in such a long time, you forgot how exciting it is. His hand trailed down to his shirt before he took it off, throwing it on the floor beside the bed. You took your chance to feel up on him, touching his chest and his lower abdomen area. You felt his V line and it is so prominent - that really turns you on. Joel is sexy. Maybe him railing you won't be so bad...
He smiled as you felt him. You touched all over his torso area. He's built and he's built well. "Can you do something for me?" He whispered into your small ear before kissing it gently. "Mhm." You whimpered out. "Have you ever given a man a blowjob before." He pulled away and smirked. Oh, you know where this is going. "A long time ago, yes." "Hmm," Joel smiled and kissed your forehead. "Wanna do that for me?" He asked you, so kindly. "I do." You nodded. You do.
Joel nodded and adjusted his seating position. Now he was sitting on the bed, his back against the headboard. Perfect positioning for you to make him all sorts of dumb. You smiled and pulled your hair back, ensuring it won't get in the way. He is wearing a light pair of sweatpants, some that'll come off rather easily. The imprinting of his hard cock is noticeable. You're practically drooling at this point.
You pulled him out of his pants, a slight bit of pre cum lies right on his tip. So hot. So sexy. You bit your lower lip before wettenening them, overall just preparing yourself. "You'll do so good baby." Baby... Oh fuck, that's so hot. You smiled and leaned down before quickly wrapping your lips around the head of his dick, just testing the waters. Joel was haste to seeth and let out a faint grunt. "Oh yeah, this is gonna be good." He murmured to himself.
Then and there, you started to suck his cock. He's hard, rock hard. The first guy you ever blew wasn't like this. In a way, you're glad Joel is this turned on, it shows that maybe this isn't just a lustful thing for him. But what do you know? It probably is. I mean, you two will eventually have sex, especially if he doesn't agree to the affair orders. Enough of that though, you just wanna focus on pleasuring him right now.
You swirled your tongue all along his cock, from the base to the tip, all over. Joel simply watched you in awe. There's no denying your beauty and watching you of all people give him a blowjob, he's under your spell. You used your hand to jerk the spots you weren't focusing on as you licked his tip. His pre cum was slightly thick and it had a sweet taste to it. God, you want to swallow his semen terribly.
You closed your eyes as you moved your head faster, suckling his cock as quickly and perfectly as you could. "Fuck, that feels so good." Joel moaned and his hand now rested on the back of your head. "Good girl, fuck." He closed his eyes and tilted his head back. You're like a witch, winding him under your seduction. He pushed your head down slightly, forcing you to take his dick deeper into your mouth.
After a little while longer, he twitched in your mouth and that's how you knew he was just about to finish. You took the opportunity to shove your head all the way down, his tip hitting your throat and your eyes as watery as ever - and it worked. "Christ, oh fuck." Joel gasped out as he came deep into your throat, his sweet cum seeping into your mouth until you swallowed it all. Joel snickered and gazed at you in surprise.
"Holy fuck, you got a mouth on you." You giggled at his words. "So I've been told." You smiled. "Yeah? Come here." He grabbed your hips and pulled you onto his lap. You laughed and kissed him, your lips locking with his. He breathed in deeply as you kissed him. Your kisses are full of ecstasy and need. "I want you to ride my face." He stated in between kisses. God. That's just what you need.
Once again, he fixed his seating position and this time, laid all the way back until his head was on the pillow. "I've never done this before." "You don't got anything to worry about, I'll be doing all the work. You just sit on my face and relax." The way he talks is so attractive, really. You snorted and rolled your eyes. "Okay then." You took off your panties and threw them on the ground beside his shirt from earlier. "Now c'mere."
Listening, you climbed over his body and over to his face. His hands held onto your thighs and he pulled you down. You felt the slight prickle from his beard on your area and you sighed deeply. You know Joel will take good care of you. "Just take it baby." Was all he said before he then began to feast upon you. This isn't how you expected it to feel. It feels amazing. Joel really knows what he's doing. "Oh Jesus Christ." Your head was already tossed back.
His tounge was clearly all over your pussy, your so very wet pussy. You moaned loudly and held onto the headboard. It definitely feels a bit awkward & unhinged but fuck, Joel is just going at it, how can you not just allow it? "That feels so fucking amazing." You laughed and looked down. His eyes were closed. He's in the moment. All he wants to do is please you and to taste you and God, you taste heavenly.
Gripping the bedframe, you began to slowly grind your cunt against his face. You can't help yourself, it feels too good. "Oh Joel." You moaned softly, your body shaking faintly. His hands held onto your thighs, he was literally gripping them with force. His tongue protruded at your hole, sticking it in and out of it quickly before going back to suckling on your pulsing clit. You're so wet. You're so fucking horny.
This is not how you expected tonight to go.
"I feel like..." God, you haven't felt this in a good bit. It's only when you're touching yourself that you do. "Cum for me sweetheart." He detached from your pussy only for a moment and just to say that. "Oh fuck!" Your body shook and your eyes squeezed shut as you came. Joel didn't stop. He sucked and licked all over as you came. It was so overstimulating. "Oh, fuck, stop, stop!" You yelled out and he was detached just like that.
You got off of his face and giggled loudly, looking at him as you caught your breath. "That was great." You snickered and layed back. "I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." He smiled and leaned over, kissing your cheek, then your pretty pink lips. "I still want you." You swathed your arms around his neck and kissed him deeply. He smiled into the kiss and nodded. "Here." He pulled away from the kiss and flipped you over, landing you on your stomach and pulling your ass up.
Doggy style, hmm, okay.
You giggled and rubbed your rear along his manhood, causing him to get hard all over again. "Dirty girl." He murmured before spanking you, causing you to moan loudly. You didn't expect that. You guess this man is kinky. "Are you a virgin?" He whispered into your ear before kissing behind it. "I am." "Okay baby, I'll be gentle." He said in a soft tone before pulling back behind you. He pulled his pants down, then lifted your nightgown up, revealing your bare ass to him.
Joel reached over and grabbed a condom from the drawer. There were some in the bathroom too. Honeymoon suites do not mess around. He slipped it over his hard cock and looked back down at you. "If it hurts at all, just tell me." "Okay." You nodded and smiled, looking straight ahead as you waited for him. Within that minute, he stuck himself inside of you, slowly and passionately. You moaned and felt your insides tighten at the sudden feeling.
"Loosen up baby, it'll feel better." You had to calm yourself down. You're suddenly nervous and a bit on edge. "Want me to stop?" "No, please no." You said softly, holding onto the bedsheets below you. "Just be gentle." "Of course." Joel responded. He began to move but his strokes were subtle and gentle. He doesn't want to hurt you. "You feel so good." He said in a deep voice, pushing himself in and out of you.
It's a whole new sensation. It feels like a delicacy. Goodness, it's great. "It does feel nice." You giggled and nuzzled your head against the bed, just letting loose and allowing Joel to make the most out of this expirence. "You're so beautiful." He whispered before his movements picked up, but barely. He just wants you to be okay. "Just like that." You moaned out and closed your eyes, now just relishing in the feeling of him within you.
A little bit after you entirely adjusted to him, his hips rocked against your ass a bit quicker now. The feeling was exquisite. You've never felt this way before. "So fucking tight, Jesus Christ." Joel grunted as he fucked you, his dick going into you at a pace in which was perfect, it was magnificent. "Joel!" You moaned and attempted to lift your head up and as you tried, he shoved you back down, his hand going to the back of your neck to keep you in place.
Oh, you liked that. It was sudden but very arousing.
As he slammed into you now, his pace not gentle as it was, all you could do was take it. Like this, it is even better, you just needed a minute to adjust. "Maybe this marriage won't be so bad." You giggled out to Joel and he smiled, though you couldn't see it. "That's what I like to hear." He spanked you again and this time, your back arched even more. This is amazing. You really didn't think this would happen but wow, what an outcome it is.
Joel's hand trailed up into your hair and somehow, you knew what he'd do because before you knew it, he was pulling on it. Your head was being pulled back roughly but the pain mixed with the pleasure was perfect. You moaned loudly and held your breath as he fucked you, hard. Him pulling on your hair, fucking you and talking to you all at once was too much.
"I'm gonna cum again." You moaned out, closing your eyes. "Cum for me sweetheart." He whispered before reaching over and holding onto not only your hair, but now your neck. He lifted you up until your back was against his front. His hand was now around your neck and his other around your stomach, holding you close. This is it. You moaned softly as you felt his plunge into you a few more times until he ultimately came first, which then caused your undoing.
As you came, he caressed your clit with haste and your body shook, even more than it did with your first orgasm. "God, you take it so well." Joel grunted as he kissed behind your ear whilst rubbing your nub and pushing himself into you. There were so many feelings all at once, it was amazing. You giggled and bit your lip, closing your eyes and simply intaking the enjoyable & pleasurable moment.
Coming down from your high and snapping back into reality, Joel pulled out of you with a chuckle and you two laid down on the bed together. He took off the condom and set it on the table; He can throw it away later. "So..." You began with a faint giggle and Joel bellowed. "You were amazing." He leaned over and kissed your forehead. "Are you okay? Did I break ya?" He joked. You nodded. "Yes to both." He laughed at your sentence.
"I feel so..." "Hmm?" "Good." You giggled and spun over to face him. "Let's do it again!" You climbed on top of him and he laughed out, holding your hips. "Let's do it then."

Sebek's scars
Sebek x reader, romantic A/N Technically, this shouldn't be a part of my I Love Everything About You series because it's not in the right format. But a sudden drabble formed in my head while I was rereading Sebek's Scales this morning, so I've decided to include it as a special piece.
Sebek's scales are a wonderful idea, but I need to talk about his scars.
I mentioned once his lightning scars from using his unique magic, but what about his regular ones? He has been through intense training, survival camps, combat practice, and weapon mastery. There have to be some scars on his body.
So I find myself wondering - do they (Lilia, Mama Zigvolt, or Baul) erase these marks with magic, or do they let them remain? I hope they don't remove them.
Because then, you could trace them, kiss them, and tell him how strong he is. And he'd become all smug about it, proudly recounting the stories behind each one.
Of course, he'd mention Malleus at least ten times, declaring that it's an honor to bear these marks - medals of valor earned in the service of protecting his king.
But then, as your hand gently traces along his body, you notice a small scar that appears fresh. Before you can ask about it, he suddenly tenses, trying to cover it up, his usual bravado faltering. For the first time, you catch a glimpse of shyness in his movements.
"I'm sorry, does that hurt?" you ask softly, making sure his reaction isn't caused by pain.
"No, pain is not the matter here" he replies, trying to sound indifferent.
"Oh, good. Then… what's the story behind this one?" you're careful with your question, but try to meet his eyes.
He hesitates for a few moments before finally saying "This one is because of you."
"What? I-I'm so sorry!" your first reaction is panic, as he doesn't elaborate. "D-did I hurt you somehow? If I did, then I'm really s-”
"Ha! As if a weak human like you could hurt me!" his bravado returns as he smirks.
Then, taking your hand, he presses it gently against the scar.
"This one," he says "is from when I saved you from that darkness during our dream-hopping journey! You're such a weak human - what were you thinking, jumping in there…?"
You remember that moment, when Sebek had actually saved your life - one of many, many times. He has never mentioned scars obtained because of you before, though. Is that why he was acting nervous?
"Oh… I see. Thank you, Seb, and… I am sorry." you slowly start to pull your hand away from his body, but he suddenly grabs it, holding it firmly as he meets your gaze.
"Stop apologizing! Or do you think such a trifle is something to worry about for me?" his voice is a little louder than before, and you notice a hint of blush on his cheeks.
"I'm just sorry that you have to bear it because of me now…" you murmur, still sounding guilty.
"Were you listening to me just now? Or are your human ears too weak for even my voice to reach them?!"
You blink at him in confusion. His grip on your hand tightens slightly.
"I just said that bearing scars for protecting those who are dear is a great honor for a warrior!"
"But that was about Lord Malleus-"
"About Lord Malleus, of course. But also…" his voice drops to a quieter tone. "This applies to you, too."
For a moment, there's only silence between you, the weight of his words settling like a promise.
"As long as these scars mean you are safe, I shall bear them as my armor. Do you understand?" his gaze is still locked on you - serious and unwavering.
And you return his steadfast look with a gentle smile, leaning in to draw him into your embrace.
"Bear your armor with pride then, my warrior." you whisper. "And I will make sure no scar ever reaches your heart."
#plus I really wanted to include my sketch of bandaging him#and it's simply a perfect transition to Sebek's Heart OMG#caligo's stories#twisted wonderland#twst#sebek zigvolt#twst sebek#sebek x reader#sebek zigvolt x reader#twst x reader

Heya I saw your blog and thought your writing was amazing!!
If it’s okay with you, can we get father figure or platonic Pure vanilla being a dad! Headcanons or a scenario.
Hope you’re having a wonderful day btw!!
☆ Healer's Little Sunflower — Dad!Pure Vanilla & Reader HCs ☆
Genre: Familial, Fluff || they/them pronouns for reader || No warnings needed
──────.𖥔 ݁ ˖˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ──────
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Pure Vanilla is a gentle parent. He's never once raised his voice at you, and always prefers to talk things out. He knows children are more intelligent than they seem, and is firmly against physically reprimanding them
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He pretends to be stern at times, but only in a joking way where you two can laugh it off. That isn't to say that he's without limits though. He's a calm but fair dad, yet when it comes time to be serious, you can tell he isn't playing around anymore
ᯓᡣ𐭩 He encourages you to be safe, but knows things like little scrapes and falls are just part of growing up. If you get hurt, he's right by your side to heal you up or just hold you until you feel better
ᯓᡣ𐭩 You're mostly allowed to get some distance from him only because the eye of his staff is always keeping you in its sights. He wants you to feel free to explore, but he'll always keep an eye on you in some way to make sure you're safe
ᯓᡣ𐭩 No matter how old you get, PV will always have open arms waiting to support you if you need. You could never be 'too old' or 'too mature' for a homemade dinner and a night spent well rested in your old room
ᯓᡣ𐭩 Very, very supportive. Unless you're going down a really bad path, Pure Vanilla will be willing to help you in whatever avenue you want to take in life. What he wants the most is for you to take care of yourself, and whatever makes you happy, so be it
ᯓᡣ𐭩 PV feels like he'd be the dad where he hands you old comfort items you used to treasure when you were younger cause he remembers how much you loved them, and he keeps all your childhood favorites safe
ᯓᡣ𐭩 There's never a single time where he isn't happy to see you. When you come to him for advice, solace, just a casual visit, comfort, etc. Any moment you're home is one where he feels whole again, immediately caring for you just as he always has

Do you think leona ever asked his parents why he was even born? When he wasn't even destined to rule a kingdom and only exist in the background as a "prince", whose title meant nothing anymore when cheka was born.
(I want me some angst)
-anon
Possibly? I think that Leona probably had to come to terms with a lot of not-so-nice truths about the world and his place in it as he was growing up. He's a smart guy, he'd put two and two together eventually.
Coincidentally, Leona asks a similar question (“How can I become king?”) to a butler in the second volume of the light novel (during his post-OB flashback sequence). The butler becomes deeply uncomfortable and cannot seem to muster a response. In that moment, Leona states that he knew it was considered inappropriate for him to covet the throne. And then he praises himself for being such a clever child LMAO—
Maybe there was no particular reason for his birth. On royal money, they can have as many children as they want and still have the means to support them. Family planning isn't as necessary. If you really want to go the angst route though, maybe the Kingscholar parents had a second child as a "failsafe" in case something happened to Falena or he wasn't able to sire an heir. If that's the case, the parents probably weren't thinking about how this might affect Leona's mental or emotional wellbeing; they were preoccupied with cementing their rule into the next generation and might have figured Leona would be happy serving in some other governmental position instead of taking up the throne (which now belongs to Cheka by birthright).
It's sad to think about little Leona working so hard in order to get recognized. He must have been so full of hope and joy back then, before he realized his efforts were futile and he would never get what he wanted most of all. Not just the crown, but the love and admiration that comes with having your skill and merit recognized. I wonder if Leona got his UM before or after he had his dreams crushed...? If it's before, it feels like a bad omen and a reason for others to hate him. If it's after, it only feels like confirming what people believe about him... That he's only capable of taking and destroying, never building or growing. That has got to do some damage to your psyche.
Leona may not have even asked his parents The Question directly, honestly. His mother is scarcely mentioned and his father is ill... and Falena is busy ruling in their father's place, which makes me think that it was mostly Kifaji raising and taking care of Leona. Maybe Leona pipes up one day and asks the Grand Chamberlain why was he born if he has no purpose? And that startles Kifaji, who tries to reassure him, only for Leona to grow increasingly frustrated and accuse him of being evasive or lying to avoid telling him the ugly truth. If they're playing chess at the time, I can picture little Leona knocking all the pieces off the board with an arm and then storming off somewhere to sulk.
We still don't have the origins of his scar. Leona talks about it very casually in his Dorm Uniform voice lines, stating that scars are seen as marks of bravery in his home country, but never explaining how he got his. It could be that there's no grand story or meaning behind it--but I've also seen fan theories that the scar was the result of Leona doing something dangerous at a young age in a desperate attempt to be seen and praised by others. That detail could fit very well into this angst hypothetical.

is it that hard? - jww

pairing - wonwoo x f! reader
genre - fluff, idol au
warnings - none
summary - you know wonwoo likes you, but for some reason, he doesn't say it. not until you're frustrated enough to play a game on him.
author's note - kekekeke @wonkierideul // this is for you my mochi cheek-ed baby!! i hope you like it 😭 i tried, okay? i just hope it makes you smile at least, you're so dear to me my oomf (pls remind me again what it means) may you fulfill your MUA dream one day and may you get to doll wonu up 🤍 love you sm :)
-------------------------**~~**--------------------------
Being a successful makeup artist had been your dream since you were a teenager. Your love for makeup only grew with your age, and you made yourself proud after finally landing your dream job.
Being Jeon Wonwoo's makeup artist, however, was certainly not your dream. It might be a privilege, never been a dream.
It isn't that you mind seeing his beautiful face every other day while you doll it up with makeup that suits his outfit of the day. Never that. It's just that you're always too distracted to focus on your job. And Wonwoo doesn't help.
It falls out of your realm of professionalism. You've never been someone who struggles with balancing your personal and professional life, but with this man? You're terrible. Miserable.
He is too good looking for his own good, and being so close to his face half the time serves you no good. It takes everything in you to not just kiss his lips everytime you swipe some lipstick across them.
Wonwoo is not very expressive — that's a known fact. But what people might not know is that Wonwoo is a tease, a little close to a flirt. At least towards you, he is.
You hate how he licks his lips right after you're done applying lipstick just to make your job harder. What's worse is that he does it with a straight face, muttering an aplogy within a second like he didn't realize what he just did.
But you have seen it far too much to know that he does these things deliberately. You don't know if he likes seeing the huff of annoyance you let out, or if he just genuinely hates you.
Either way, you've decided that your work ethics have been compromised enough. You don't like these feelings you've harbored for the idol overtime, and if nothing is down the drain, you'll take your shot today.
When Wonwoo arrives on set an hour before his schedule, you're glad that the whole group isn't here. It's his solo schedule for the day — a photoshoot for his brand deal.
The look for today has to be a little bold, and requires more time than usual. So you start slow, focused on work and trying your best to make him look exactly like the concept demands.
And you're also focused on another task today.
"I'm quitting." You say as nonchalantly as you can, dabbing some concealer to hide a tiny acne mark on his skin.
"Huh?" He raises his brows, unsure if you talked to him.
You meet his eyes for a few seconds before focusing back on his cheek, watching the acne mark slowly disappear. You hope your game plan can work, and if it doesn't, then you're really never seeing this place again. "I said I'm quitting this job."
He continues to look at your face while you turn back to the vanity, fumbling through some eyeshadow palettes. Your heart is throbbing at the weight of his gaze, but you keep going. "I'm telling you because I know you don't get used to changes easily. You'll be more prepared when you see another MUA starting tomorrow."
You turn back, meeting his surprised gaze and you smile a little. "Close your eyes."
He takes a little while to process what you said, and you gladly wait till he does. You can see the effect of your game, and you like it so far.
He closes his eyes slowly, exhaling through his nose. It's quiet for a while till you play with a combination of two dark shades on his eyelids.
"Must you leave?"
You almost don't catch it with how quietly he speaks. Keeping the palette away, you stare at his face with his eyes closed, his question echoing in your head. Your heart swells, and a smile forms on your face. "Did you say something?"
He mutters a quiet no without opening his eyes. You know he's doing it because you haven't asked him to open them yet, and involuntarily, you feel a flutter in your chest. Usually, he would open them before you're even done, but right now he's trying to not upset you. How cute.
"I heard you, though." You say again, leaning against the vanity with your arms folded. He slowly opens his eyes, looking at you with eyes full of uncertainty. "Do you have an answer then?"
"Must I leave?" You echo his question, humming thoughtfully. "Good question. The problem is—" you pause, grabbing an eyepencil and leaning down on him. He instinctively closes his eyes, and you smile. "—that my professionalism is threatened here. I can't properly focus on my work with you, Wonwoo."
His eyes snap open before you're even done lining the pencil on his eyelid, earning a sharp wince from you. "See! This is what I mean."
"Sorry," he breathes. "I don't understand. What do you mean?"
"I don't know," you say, folding your arms neatly once again. "You tell me."
He stares at you blankly for a while, unable to pinpoint exactly where you're coming from. Then his expression shifts, as if he's reminded of something. "Scratch that. Just don't quit?"
You arch an eyebrow despite the little victory dance your insides do at his statement. "Hm? Why?"
"Because—" he pauses, trying to find words. "Because like you said, I'm not good with accepting changes. I am used to you."
You sigh, shaking your head. "Is it that hard?"
"What?"
"Saying the truth."
"What truth?"
"That you like me."
Suddenly, there's pin drop silence in the makeup room. Even the humming of the aircon feels distant, as if coming from a faraway land. All you can hear is your own pulse beating wildly in your ears.
Then with calculated certainty, Wonwoo speaks. "It is."
You feel your throat running dry, and though you know you orchestrated this little game, you have no idea why you're nervous. Do you like him that much?
"But if I say it Y/N, will you stay?"
You can't help but smile. He's cute, and you'll do anything to make him happy. You nod. "I will."
He inhales a mouthful of air, and deeply exhales it all. Licking his dry lips, he looks up in your eyes, taking your hand in his large one hesitantly.
"I like you." He says, as quiet as the room. "I've liked you since the day you first put an insane amount of blush on my cheeks and I complained about looking cute. Please don't quit on me."
You've known that Wonwoo likes you, but nothing could've prepared you for the way he admits it in his low voice while holding your hand gently. You feel your pulse quickening even more if it's possible, and a blush dusts your cheeks.
"You did look cute, though."
"I didn't want to!" He groans, and you end up giggling. He sighs then, smiling along with you nevertheless. "Is that what you say to my confession?"
You shrug, grabbing a lipstick and turning to him. "If you don't mess your lipstick up this time, I'll think about going on a date with you."
He smiles, fingers hooking in yours to tug you closer. You lean closer to him as a result, eyes widening slightly. "Whatever happened to professionalism now?"
"I can compromise a little if I get a boyfriend as handsome as Jeon Wonwoo." You answer, poking his forehead so his head rests back before you begin applying lipstick on his lips.
He does mess his lipstick after your first attempt, and it leads to you kissing him, but you go on a date with him on the weekend anyway.

Hiii!!! Your ADHD post was perfect, thank you so much! I have the inattentive type as well, but I got really good at masking it/forcing myself to focus in some school classes lol (that is, if I had some sliver of interest in that class haha) I have another one, if it's ok :3
Could you maybe do shadow and sonic with a reader that is just absolutely terrible at getting proper sleep (4-3 hours 😭) who usually just can't sleep or is up doing something? Maybe hyper focused on a task? The amount of caffeine I have to consume in the morning is probably unhealthy 💀
Hope things are going great for you!

Precis: Shadow + sonic with an insomniac!Reader
Warning: side effects of no sleep and too much caffeine, no fender specified
Notes: I remember as a child (5) I would always stay awake longer to practice for ballet that I've been doing since I was 3 but I was taken out of gymnastics and ballet cuz of health issues:(( I love this blinkie too much please never leave me. I keep thinking of my step sisters and I can't stop crying knowing my dad is probably doing something to them the same way he did to me and it's eating at my heart tbh I could barely focus on writing

Sonic
We all know Sonic has massive amounts of energy, seemingly never running out of it. He isn't really a night owl type of guy, nor does he ever want to be, but when he met you, that changed. You were the complete opposite of him, always tired, staying up late, always drinking coffee etc. He didn't mind at first, but your unhealthy habits scared him greatly; you crashing out in the middle of the day was the thing that scared him the most, the way your energy turned down so fast was enough to get Sonic on the internet to try and fine some kind of help for you. He knew there were many healthy ways to get you to follow a routine. Sonic tried giving you melatonin, it worked for a few months, but it strung you out fast and you needed more to be able to sleep properly, he tried getting you some tea, but those smelled and tasted to bad you'd puke it all up.
It felt hopeless, but he didn't wanna give up helping you. You meant too much to him, you were such a nice person, yet you had the worst problems. He didn't understand it, but that didn't stop him from helping you. "Hey! [Name], let's go for a race! Whoever loses has to buy us a chili dog" he'd try to tire you out, cut your screen time and do as much as he possibly can to help you sleep. It broke sonics heart to see you so tired and strung out all day, he doesn't want to intrude too much, but he'd do anything to see you in a happy state. Besides all the chaos, Sonic doesn't mind your attitude much. He finds it kind of funny when he sees you almost falling asleep on your desk while studying.
Overall, Sonic doesn't mind it too much but he still worries daily about you, about your health. No matter what, he'll stay by your side though. He finds it fun to stay with you during the day, your calm demeanor (maybe a side effect) is like a refreshment for him, but the sudden mood swings and headaches you complain about will always bring his worry back to bloom all over again
Shadow
Shadow is also a night owl! The sun is too blinding for his brooding behavior, he'd rather watch it fall and the moon come up to greet his cold demeanor once more. He's the ultimate lifeform so he doesn't need sleep that bad, but since you're a mortal you obviously need sleep. He finds this out a few weeks into your relationship (platonic or romantic) Since he's so stubborn, he gives you an ultimatum: "It's either you sleep or you sleep on the couch" that worked for a day or two, but your bad sleeping habits, caffeine addiction, etc. Would always lull you back into staying awake doing whatever you wanted, it was your alone time. He wouldn't take that away, Shadow understands what it's like wanting to have some alone time... But he still knew how harmful this was for you
Shadow started switching your coffee with decaffeinated alternatives. The first few nights were the most rough, your body was still getting used to and adjusting to this new schedule, which helped greatly! Instead of trying to use medicines or tiring you out, Shadow tries discrete methods and ways to get you to practice better habits. Shadow knows he might not be the best for this, but he will still try and help you nonetheless. Shadow does know that you don't exactly enjoy all of this frustration from your lack of sleep, but he's baffled to know that you don't actively try to find some solutions, he doesn't mean it in a bad way... At the same time it feels like he does get angry, not at you, but your lack of motivation to help yourself. The way you continually have to go take naps just not to pass out
Shadow doesn't believe in naps, he sees them as the average way to ruin your sleep schedule. When he sees how many small naps you take just to function, it makes him worried knowing you're so tired all the time. He sees the way you strain yourself everyday, every passing second of the day. Shadow tries his best to help you, he really does. Shadow isn't the best at communication, so he doesn't see that as an option. That won't stop him from helping a loved one, Shadow isn't a very open person, but his past trauma makes his overbearing nature show easily. If overbearing helps you sleep easy, he'll stay that way

I'm so sorry you have to deal with people being so demanding, and I hope that they actually listen to your post and stop, cause it's just really rude in general.
On the other hand, I, for some reason, keep thinking about your story of reader dying and the 141 grieving and how, for me personally, when it comes to one of my loved ones, no matter how much time passes, I just can't stop thinking about them, craving their love, the way that they loved, and how you can see the similarities in others but it isn't quite right, it still doesn't feel the same, and you're just never left satisfied when you want their love again and no one else can do that, because it's not them. You're still loved, yes, but it's not the same.
Idk. I just was thinking about that and was wondering if that's what they might feel. They still have each other and love each other, but I wonder if there are times when they want or feel like they need it to be like reader's way to feel better on some days, where little things that upset them were originally made better by something reader did, but now that they're gone they're just left with that feeling to simmer.
You know one of the things I had to learn while dealing with grief — it doesn’t become smaller. You just get bigger, you get more experiences the older you get and all of that grief is still there. But grief is just what is left of your love for the person who is no longer there.
I think for them it would manifest differently but I can definitely see Johnny trying his best to keep going because he knows he has three more partners and they have to keep going and they have to keep living. Because Reader wouldn’t be happy with them just ending it all, because there is so much more time left, so many things they haven’t done. I think for him it would be one of the things that would eventually result in early retirement. He already lost a quarter of his heart when he lost Reader, he doesn’t want it happening again. And as much as he loves being demolitions expert, he knows there is a different type of life out there. One that can give him and his partners stability and safety.
I think Johnny would be the person that despite it all still sometimes talks about Reader like they are still there. He mentions references to movies and music and books, he draws them in his sketchbooks, he mentions that “this is the dessert they always wanted to try”. With time it turns into a warm kind of nostalgia, the love that he carries with him, his grief manifesting in trying to compensate for everything Reader wouldn’t experience by living through it himself. And by living on. When his time comes he hopes to see Reader again and say “see? I did well, didnae i? It was a good life. A long life, like you wanted. Bet you are proud of me”
Like i mentioned before Kyle took it in one of the worst hits, he’d keep holding onto Reader’s clothes and mementos as long as he can. He googles obsessively brands of clothes, he finds exactly the same articles because even if these get ruined or good forbid someone throws them out — he will know what to order. It won’t be the same, but he could pretend that it is. He already pretends that he’s alright, he already pretends that the hoodies he’s wearing with Reader’s name and rank are just part of his standard uniform.
I feel like Kyle is a person who has never experienced a loss this big before. He never lost someone who was this close, someone who’s still in his head, someone whose voice he keeps hearing when he talks to himself. Kyle likes to imagine that Reader never passes on. That they are still there, maybe noncorporeal, maybe he can’t see them, but at this point he’d settle for anything.
I think Kyle was never one for religion but whenever he passes church he’d get in to light a candle and say a quick not even a prayer but sort of a wish. Like that’s the only way he can chat with you, like something holy could really pass his “I’m okay, love, I’m eating well. Last mission was shite, but you know how it is. You no longer come to me when i dream. Are you upset, baby? I’m sorry, I’ll be more careful next time, i know you don’t like me getting injured. Just please, come back. I can’t sleep well without you.”
Simon would probably have the hardest times adjusting to the absence of Reader, because he takes the longest time to accept their death. He tries so hard to pull away from the moment where he would need to actually process the notion that it finds him itself and hits him with the force of minivan.
There is aching that he can’t relief, there is itch he can scratch — there is a person who he could tell any of his jokes and who’d not just joke in return but laugh at it and this person is gone. They are not coming back, he can’t even find them somewhere to watch out of the shadows, he can’t stalk them.
Losing people like that is always the hardest because with living people you at least can call/text/send a letter with a carrier pigeon. You can come back and open old wounds, you can pick up the fight, you can look them in the eyes and get some closure. Simon is not getting any. He fights every step of the way, he drags his feet. He’s easily agitated, he feels like hitting his head on the wall every time something stabs him from inside reminding that you are gone.
He comes up with a joke and yeah, of course he can tell it to anyone out of 141, but he wants to tell it to Reader. He wants to tell it to them specifically because they’d have a funny response which they’d choke out of themselves by laughing so hard he actually starts laughing. He misses it. He misses them. He misses their smell, the feel of them, the way he could talk to them and they would just get him so well like no one else would. He doesn’t just lose a partner when Reader dies — he loses a friend.
Price is…Price is complicated. He’s one to bottle it all up and throw it so deep down it may never come up other in his subconscious habits. He makes tea for five people and not four, he shops for five, he still buys the snacks Reader liked, he starts planning celebration for their birthday just on the back of his mind until he catches himself doing it and just forces it all down deeper.
Price would be a high functioning alcoholic in his grief, but still an alcoholic. He drinks a little more than he should, he forces down a drink he’d previously wouldn’t because he knows his limits. But it burns and it numbs and for a few hours he can breathe again. Alcohol allows himself to loosen a lid on everything he feels, it puts safe distance between his feeling and him and he actually allows himself to process some of them.
He cries, he ruins his office, he punches through the wall, he routinely throws up. Once he gets so drunk he actually starts having hallucinations, intoxication so severe he almost chokes on his own vomit. Soap finds him just in time to get him help. After this he gets out on suicide watch for 72 hours and the team would start actually guard him in shifts.
Price still drinks but now next to him there is always someone who also remembers his limits and doesn’t let him overstep them. John hates it at times. He hates himself much more though. He hates Reader sometimes too, because that’s not fair that they are gone. Because look what a fucking mess he is, love, bloody disgrace to drink himself under the fucking table.
Price has the fastest adjustment to Reader staying deceased but at the same time he can’t fully process his grief. Part of him is scared that he will drive himself mad if he does, another part just doesn’t want to. It’s stubborn and unhealthy but so what. He’s a captain, he lost soldiers before, he’s gonna deal with it this way.
But i think he’s also the second person who retires straight after Soap because he finds a new almost obsessively-desperate purpose in keeping his boys alive and well. He may be a fucked up man but his boys already lost one of their own, he doesn’t want to drag them through his death as well

magnets - choi seungcheol imagine 1/2
buckle up bcs this is going to be a long one, i tried i really did i tried my best writing as much angst as i can. i'm not the best in that genre but i think i like how it turned out... i tried my best to put into words the scenes I had in my head. i needed to make this in 2 parts since it won't let me post all at once😅 so yes THERE WILL BE A SECOND HALF
tbh out of all the stories i wrote here, this one has the most 'me' in it. sad if you realize why i say that but yea😅 in my mind, cheol is the type of man whose love isn't consuming, it just makes everything better, easier, a little less terrifying bcs no matter what you can count on him to be there with you. i guess that's what make me love this story even more. hope you do too!
for my other svt fics, check them here

You’ve heard it all before. You're too picky. Your standards are unrealistic. Men aren’t that bad.
Lies. All of it.
Men are that bad. They lack common sense, can’t read between the lines, and somehow think saying "you’re not like other girls" is a compliment. You’ve dodged so many disastrous setups that your friends have given up entirely, dubbing you "The Man Hater."
Until a certain someone crossed paths with you.
It happens on a regular Friday night. Your group is at some bar Mingyu insisted on checking out, and you're barely listening to Jeonghan talk about his latest situationship when you see him.
Seungcheol walks in like he owns the place. Broad shoulders, sharp jawline, and a presence that makes women glance up instinctively. He doesn’t seem to notice. He’s in a plain black tee, jeans that fit just right, and a watch that looks like it costs more than your rent. The kicker? He doesn’t even try to look hot. He just is.
"Who is that?" you ask, cutting off Jeonghan mid-sentence.
Your friends freeze "Did you just…" Jeonghan starts.
"Who," you repeat, your voice dangerously close to sounding interested, "is that?"
Mingyu, still coughing, thumps his chest. "Choi Seungcheol," he wheezes. "Why?"
"He’s hot," you declare, because there’s no point in denying the undeniable.
"You hate men," Irene reminds you, like you’ve somehow forgotten
"I hate most men," you correct. "That one? I want him."
Jeonghan bursts into laughter. "This is the best night of my life."
You ignore them because Seungcheol is making his way to the bar, completely unaware of the chaos he’s caused. You watch, entranced, as he leans against the counter. When the bartender hands him a drink, he nods in thanks. Polite, effortless. Not once does he scan the crowd for attention like most men do. He knows he has it.
Mingyu, having finally recovered, shakes his head. "No way. Seungcheol turns down everyone."
"Not for long," you murmur, already formulating a plan.
Jihyo narrows her eyes. "Oh my God. You’re serious. You’re actually serious."
"I am."
Irene stares at you, then at Seungcheol. "I give you five minutes before he shuts you down."
"Three," Mingyu corrects.
"Ten," Jeonghan bets
"Have some faith," you scoff, already standing up. "Watch and learn, peasants."
You stride towards the bar, heart hammering, but determination stronger. It’s been years since you’ve been genuinely interested in someone. You’ll be damned if you let this moment pass.
Seungcheol notices you as you approach, and when your eyes meet, he tilts his head slightly curious but unreadable. Up close, he’s even better. You swallow.
Then, with all the confidence in the world, you slide onto the stool next to him before speaking
"So, do we skip the small talk, or do I have to pretend I don’t already want you?"
Seungcheol blinks. Then, he laughs. low, rich, interested and just like that, the game begins. He turns fully to face you, one elbow resting on the bar, drink held loosely in his hand. His gaze flickers over you—assessing, but not in that sleazy way men do when they think they have the upper hand. No, this is different.
He’s curious.
"That’s a bold opener," he muses, taking a sip of his drink.
You smirk. "I don’t do weak ones."
He hums, seemingly unfazed, but the twitch at the corner of his mouth betrays him. "And what exactly do you already want from me?"
Your fingers drum against the bar as you lean in slightly, "Wouldn’t you like to know?"
For a second, he doesn’t say anything. He just watches you, then he sets his drink down with a quiet clink and exhales a small chuckle. "You’re not like the others."
"God, please tell me that’s not your usual line," you tease.
His grin widens. "No. Usually, I don’t even entertain conversations."
"Tragic," you say dryly. "You’ve been missing out."
His tongue runs along the inside of his cheek, and you swear you see a flicker of actual interest settle in his expression. Then, suddenly, he shifts gears.
"You came over here with a plan," he states, amusement laced in his voice. "Go ahead. Impress me."
Oh, he’s fun. You tilt your head, feigning thoughtfulness. "Alright. First, we exchange names not because I don’t already know yours, but because manners are important."
Seungcheol chuckles, but he plays along. "Choi Seungcheol."
You extend a hand. "Nice to meet you, Seungcheol" you say his name, telling him yours also
"I know who you are." That throws you off for exactly half a second, and you hate how much you like hearing him say your name.
"Oh? And how exactly did you hear about me?"
"I have ears," he shrugs. "And friends who talk too much." he looks behind you. You glance back at your table, where your friends are openly staring.
"They bet against you, didn’t they?"
"Obviously." you scowl then turn to look at him again
"And yet, here we are."
"Here we are," you echo, matching his smirk.
He looks at you for a moment longer, as if weighing his next move. Then, he leans in slightly, voice dropping just enough to send a shiver down your spine.
"Alright. You’ve got my attention. Now what?"
You don’t get flustered easily. You’ve shut down men with nothing but a raised brow and a well-placed bless your heart more times than you can count. But there’s something about the way Seungcheol leans in, watching you with that amused little smirk, that makes your pulse trip over itself.
"That depends. Are you going to buy me a drink, or am I going to have to suffer through this conversation sober?"
His smirk turns into a full grin, slow and devastating. "So demanding."
"I don’t waste time," you quip
He chuckles, a deep, satisfied sound, before signaling to the bartender. "Get her whatever she wants," he tells them, then glances back at you. "And if you say something ridiculous, I’m judging you."
"Wow," you scoff, placing a hand over your heart. "You don’t even know my order, and you’re already prepared to be disappointed? You really are different."
Seungcheol snorts. "Just don’t tell me it’s some overly complicated drink with eight different ingredients."
You hum, making a show of considering his words before turning to the bartender. "A whiskey sour."
Seungcheol raises an eyebrow, clearly impressed. "Not bad."
"Did you think I was going to order an appletini?"
"Honestly? I wouldn’t put it past you."
You laugh, shaking your head as the bartender hands you your drink. You take a sip, enjoying the slight tang, then tilt the glass in his direction. "See? No judgment necessary."
"I’ll admit, I’m a little relieved," he teases, taking a sip of his own drink.
You narrow your eyes playfully. "So, is this your thing?"
"My thing?"
"Buying girls drinks, making them feel special, then walking away like a mysterious, unattainable dream?"
Seungcheol huffs out a quiet laugh. "Not really. Like I said, I usually don’t entertain conversations."
"But you’re entertaining this one."
He tilts his glass toward you in a silent toast. "I am."
You clink your glass against his, a slow smirk creeping onto your lips. "I must be special, then."
Seungcheol watches you over the rim of his glass, his gaze just a little darker now. "You must be."
You linger at the bar with Seungcheol for a few more moments, exchanging teasing remarks and sidelong glances, but eventually, you decide to leave while you're ahead.
"Well, this has been fun," you say, setting your now-empty glass on the counter.
Seungcheol tilts his head. "Leaving already?"
"What, you want me to stay?"
He huffs a quiet laugh. "I wouldn’t mind."
You pretend to consider it, tapping your chin thoughtfully. "Tempting… but I like to keep things interesting."
Before he can respond, you slide your arm across the bar toward him, palm up. His brows raise slightly, but he doesn’t hesitate. He picks up a pen left behind by the bartender and, with deliberate strokes, scrawls his number across your forearm.
When he finishes, he caps the pen, meeting your gaze with a knowing smirk. "Your move."
You glance at the numbers, then back at him. "We’ll see." Then, without another word, you turn on your heel and walk back to your table.
As expected, your friends are staring. The moment you reach the table, Jihyo blurts, "What happened?!"
You take your seat, completely unbothered, and casually extend your arm, showing off the ink on your skin. Silence.
Then
"WHAT THE—?!" Mingyu practically screeches, nearly knocking over his drink in the process. “Wait, wait. So, you—the man hater—just casually waltzed over there, flirted with Choi Seungcheol, and now you have his number?"
"Looks like it." You examine your arm with a smug smile.
Jihyo grips your wrist, eyes darting over the digits. "So? Are you texting him? Calling? When’s the wedding?"
You shrug, retracting your arm. "I’m not texting him."
Jihyo looks betrayed. "Why the hell not?!"
"Where’s the fun in that?" You take a slow sip of your drink. "Let’s see if he texts first."
Jeonghan looks at you before the evil smile shows on his face, “You didn’t give him your number, didn’t you?”
“Nope”
Jeonghan leans forward. "Oh, you’re evil."
You don’t text him that night. Or the next. His number, which you took time to save on your phone, remains stagnant on your contact list.
You’re lounging on your couch, half-listening to a true crime documentary, when your phone buzzes with a call from an unknown number. You stare at it for a second, debating whether to answer, before sighing and picking up.
"Hello?"
Silence. Then—
"Was this your plan all along?"
You freeze. That voice is unmistakable. Leaning back against the cushions, you fight the smirk threatening to form. "Choi Seungcheol."
"You remember my name. Good to know," he deadpans.
You hum, inspecting your nails. "You sound a little… frustrated."
"I had to track down your friends just to get your number," he says, and you can hear the irritation laced with amusement. "Do you know how annoying that was?"
You bite back a laugh. "Who caved?"
"Mingyu. He held out for, like, ten seconds."
You laugh, imagining the exact moment Seungcheol probably cornered Mingyu, all intimidating and brooding, while your friend fumbled immediately.
"So," Seungcheol continues, "tell me, was this some elaborate game? Give me your number, wait for me to text, then just ghost me?"
"I didn’t ghost you. I just never texted in the first place."
"Exactly."
You grin, stretching out lazily. "Maybe I just wanted to see if you’d chase."
A pause. Then, in a tone far too smug for your liking "So you like being chased?"
Your stomach does a stupid little flip, but you refuse to let him know that. "I like seeing who puts in effort," you reply smoothly.
"And? Impressed yet?"
"You’re getting there," you tease.
Seungcheol chuckles, a low, satisfied sound. "Good. Then meet me for dinner."
You blink. "What?"
"Dinner," he repeats, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. "You know, a meal? Where two people sit down, talk, and eat?"
"I know what dinner is," you snort. "I just wasn’t expecting you to be so forward."
"You made me hunt you down," he says. "You don’t get to act surprised." Okay. Fair.
"Alright, then," you say, biting your lip to contain your grin. "Pick me up at eight."
And just like that, Choi Seungcheol is taking you to dinner. And at exactly 7:59, your phone buzzes.
Seungcheol: I’m outside.
You glance at the time and snort. Of course, he’s punctual.
Grabbing your purse, you take one last look in the mirror before heading out. As soon as you step outside, you spot Seungcheol leaning casually against his car. A sleek, black beauty that looks just as effortlessly expensive as he does.
His eyes sweep over you as you approach, and he smirks. "You clean up nice."
You arch a brow. "I always look nice."
"Cocky."
Once he’s in the driver’s seat, he glances at you. "Comfortable?"
You hum, running a hand over the buttery leather seats. "Not bad. I guess your car is alright."
Seungcheol scoffs. "You guess? This car is a masterpiece."
You grin. "I’m sure it’s great at making up for other shortcomings."
He barks out a laugh, shaking his head as he pulls onto the road. "You just can’t help yourself, can you?"
"It’s a gift," you say sweetly.
He glances at you, amusement dancing in his eyes. "You really made me work for this date."
"You chased," you remind him.
"And you liked it."
You pretend to consider. "A little."
He huffs a quiet laugh. "Good. Because I don’t plan on stopping."
You meet his gaze, and for once, you don’t have a witty comeback. Seungcheol pulls up to a sleek high-rise, handing his keys off to the valet like it’s second nature. You step out, glancing up at the towering building, the city lights reflecting off the glass.
You give him a sideways look. “Fancy.”
He smirks. The elevator ride is smooth and silent, except for the way Seungcheol occasionally glances at you. When the doors open, you step into a dimly lit, impossibly exclusive restaurant. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the glittering skyline, the city sprawling below like something out of a movie.
A host greets you by name before leading you to a table near the window. You raise an eyebrow. “How did you even get a reservation here?”
Seungcheol just shrugs, sliding into his seat. “I have my ways.”
“That’s not an answer.”
He leans back, studying you with that same amused smirk. “You like it?”
It’s stunning, but you refuse to give him the satisfaction just yet. “It’s alright.”
He laughs, shaking his head. “Unbelievable.”
The waiter arrives, and Seungcheol orders without even glancing at the menu. You squint at him. “You come here often?”
“Not really. Just know what’s good.”
“So, what, you bring all your dates here?”
Seungcheol sets down his glass, eyes locked onto yours. “No.”
You tilt your head. “No?”
He shakes his head. “You’re the first.”
Your stomach does something stupid and traitorous, but you keep your expression cool. “Guess I should feel special.”
His lips quirk up. “You should.”
And damn it, for once, you do. As the waiter leaves, Seungcheol leans forward, swirling the dark liquid in his glass before giving you an all-too-amused look.
“So, I heard something interesting from Mingyu.”
You raise an eyebrow. “That’s never a good sign.”
“Apparently, you have a reputation.”
You take a slow sip of your drink. “Do I?”
Seungcheol smirks. “Something about being a ‘man hater,’ quote-unquote.”
You nearly choke. “Oh, for the love of—” You set your glass down with a little more force than necessary. “I am not a man hater.”
He rests his chin on his hand, clearly entertained. “Mingyu made it sound pretty serious.”
You roll your eyes. “Mingyu is dramatic. I just—” You gesture vaguely. “—don’t waste my time with idiots.”
“So, most men are idiots?”
You sigh, giving him a pointed look. “Look, I just have high standards. That doesn’t make me a man hater.” You pick up your drink, muttering, “Mingyu talks too much.”
Seungcheol just laughs, looking way too pleased with himself. You lean back in your chair, twirling the stem of your wine glass between your fingers, watching him with a knowing smirk.
"You know," you start casually, "I heard something about you too."
Seungcheol raises an eyebrow. "Oh?"
You nod. "Apparently, you’re the guy who turns down women without a second thought."
He hums, taking a sip of his drink before setting it down. "Mingyu, again?"
"Maybe."
He smirks. "He really needs a hobby."
"Don’t change the subject," you tease, tilting your head. "So, is it true?"
He doesn’t answer immediately. Instead, he watches you for a moment, like he’s deciding how much to say. "Depends," he finally says.
"On what?"
"On what you think ‘true’ means."
You narrow your eyes. "That sounds like something a guy who’s absolutely guilty would say."
Seungcheol chuckles, shaking his head. "Look, I’m not some heartless bastard. I just don’t waste time on something I know won’t go anywhere."
You cross your arms. "And what exactly makes you so sure it won’t go anywhere?"
He shrugs, voice even. "You can tell when someone only wants you for the wrong reasons."
Something about the way he says it makes you pause. It’s not cocky. It’s just… matter-of-fact.
You watch him carefully. "So, what, they just like the idea of you?"
He meets your gaze, unreadable. "Something like that."
You hold his stare, and for a moment, the teasing dies down, replaced by something heavier. Something real. Then, because you refuse to let things get too serious too quickly, you click your tongue.
"Damn," you say, shaking your head. "And here I was thinking you were just playing hard to get."
Seungcheol laughs, the tension breaking. "And yet, you still showed up."
You grin. "Guess I like a challenge, too."
He lifts his glass toward you in a silent toast.
"Good," he murmurs, eyes dark with amusement. "I’d be disappointed if you didn’t."
The food was amazing, company even better. He’s funny without trying, you don’t think you laughed that much in a while. And a guy being the reason? A miracle truly.
He’s driving you back home leaning back in the passenger seat, comfortably full from dinner, when his voice cuts through the quiet.
"So." His fingers drum lazily against the wheel. "Why didn’t you text me?"
You glance at him, feigning innocence. "Text you?"
He gives you a look. "You know. After that first night."
You smirk, tilting your head. "Ohhh, you mean when you wrote your number on my arm like some overconfident frat boy?"
Seungcheol scoffs, but his lips twitch. "I was being resourceful."
"Sure." You shrug. "Guess I just wasn’t in a rush."
He raises an eyebrow. "Weren’t interested?"
"I didn’t say that."
"Didn’t not say it either."
You chuckle. "Alright, fine. Maybe I just wanted to see how serious you were."
Seungcheol hums. "So, making me track down your friends and practically interrogate Mingyu was a test?"
You flash him a grin. "And you passed."
He glances at you, amusement glinting in his eyes. "I knew you were trouble."
"You knew," you agree, smirking. "And yet, here you are."
Seungcheol shakes his head, but there’s no hiding the way his lips curl up. "Yeah," he murmurs, like it’s more to himself than to you. "Here I am."
You don’t tell anyone about the dinner. Not because you’re trying to be secretive, but because there’s nothing to tell. At least, that’s what you tell yourself but the others notice something.
"You’re in a good mood," Jihyo says one afternoon, squinting at you suspiciously over her coffee.
You blink. "Am I not allowed to be?"
"You are," she says slowly. "It’s just unusual."
Mingyu chimes in from across the table. "Yeah, you haven’t made fun of me once today. It’s kinda weirding me out."
You roll your eyes. "You want me to insult you?"
"Lowkey, yeah."
Jeonghan, who’s been scrolling through his phone this whole time, suddenly looks up. "Wait. You are acting different."
Irene nods, narrowing her eyes. "Yeah. You’re… less murdery. "You know." She gestures vaguely. "Less I’ll kill a man if he looks at me the wrong way."
You groan. "You guys are so dramatic."
"Okay, so what happened?" Jihyo presses.
"Nothing."
Jeonghan smirks. "That means something." Four pairs of eyes immediately narrow at you.
"Who is it?" Jeonghan adds, grinning like a wolf. "Oh, wait—" His eyes gleam with mischief. "Who’s the poor bastard?"
You roll your eyes. "There is no bastard. Poor or otherwise."
"She’s deflecting," Jihyo announces.
Mingyu leans forward. "It’s Seungcheol, isn’t it?"
You don’t react. Not visibly but the millisecond of silence is enough. Jeonghan’s grin explodes.
"Ohhhh, no way." Mingyu screeches.
You groan, dropping your head into your hands. You should’ve known. You deny, deny, deny until they finally give up, though not without a lot of suspicious side-eyes and unnecessary winks from Jeonghan.
By the time they stop prying, you think you’re in the clear.
That is, until Friday night.
It’s just supposed to be a normal night out—drinks, chaos, and Mingyu probably embarrassing himself at some point. The usual.
But then you see him.
Seungcheol.
And he’s not alone. You clock him the moment you step into the bar, leaning against the counter with a drink in hand, looking ridiculously good in a black button-up with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He’s mid-laugh, talking to someone. Looks like a close friend.
You don’t react, keeping your expression neutral, but Jeonghan notices immediately.
"Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?" he asks, following your gaze.
And because the universe is cruel, that’s the exact moment Seungcheol glances over and meets your eyes. A slow, knowing smirk spreads across his lips.
Jeonghan watches it all happen. His eyes widen before he turns to you, grinning like the menace he is. "Oh. My. God."
Mingyu, of course, is oblivious. "Drinks first!" he announces, leading the group toward an open spot by the bar.
Irene and Jihyo follow easily, already deep in conversation, but you feel Jeonghan at your side. His eyes are glinting. You just know he’s about to be a problem.
"You know," he says casually, "for someone who ‘definitely did not go on a date with Seungcheol,’ you two sure looked like you have history."
You don’t even blink. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Jeonghan snickers. "Right. And I’m a law-abiding citizen." You ignore him, signaling the bartender for a drink.
Everything is fine or at least it was until Seungcheol and his friend start making their way over. You don’t react. But you know Jeonghan notices the way you straighten up, the way your fingers tap once against the bar before going still.
His friend gets there first, smiling easily at the group. "Hey," he greets. "Didn’t know you guys were coming out tonight."
Mingyu perks up. "Joshua Hong! What’s up?" He claps Joshua's shoulder, immediately pulling him into conversation.
And that’s when he speaks.
"Small world, huh?"
You refuse to turn your head too fast, refuse to let your body react. Instead, you sip your drink first, then glance to the side. Seungcheol is looking at you like he knows something..
You raise an eyebrow. "Not really. Bars exist."
Mingyu, bless him, is still too caught up in talking to Joshua to notice the undercurrent of whatever is happening here. Irene and Jihyo are watching, though. They’re pretending to be casual, but you can feel their curiosity.
Seungcheol doesn’t drop it. He leans slightly closer, just enough for his voice to drop between the two of you. "You avoiding me?"
"Why would I do that?"
He tilts his head, pretending to think. "Maybe because someone went on a date with me and then acted like it never happened."
Jeonghan is eating this up. He’s watching like it’s his favorite drama, sipping his drink with barely concealed glee.
You sip your drink again, unfazed. "Must not have been that memorable then."
Seungcheol laughs like, full-on laughs and somehow that’s worse than if he had been annoyed.
"Oh, this is fun," he murmurs, shaking his head.
"You need better hobbies," you reply dryly.
"You’re right. I should pick up dating mysterious, difficult women who don’t text back."
You glance at him. "So you’re saying I’m a challenge?"
He smirks. "I’m saying I like challenges."
Your lips curve, but you don’t let the smile take over. You turn back to your drink instead and just like that, the moment passes. Instead, he just slides into conversation with the rest of the group like nothing happened. Like he’s not already thinking about the next time he’ll get you alone.
The night goes on as if nothing happened. As if Seungcheol didn’t just throw you off balance with his ridiculous smirk and infuriatingly charming presence. But then, when Seungcheol and Joshua drift off to another part of the bar, Jihyo pounces.
"Okay, explain."
You feign ignorance, sipping your drink. "Explain what?"
Irene scoffs. "Don’t play dumb. You were literally just flirting with him."
You roll your eyes. "I was not."
"That was the most obvious non-flirting flirting I’ve ever seen," Jihyo insists. "And I’ve known Jeonghan for years."
Jeonghan smirks. "She’s right, you know."
Mingyu, now finally catching up, furrows his brows. "Wait. Are we talking about Seungcheol?"
"No, we’re talking about your ability to be dense," Irene says, exasperated
Jihyo leans in. "I thought you wanted him."
You groan, rubbing your temples. "I do."
She blinks. "Then what’s the problem?"
You sigh. "That’s the problem."
Mingyu looks confused. "Wait, I’m lost."
Irene pats his arm. "Sweetie, this is grown-up business." This makes Mingyu glare at him, jokingly pushing her sideways
Mingyu scowls. "I am grown!"
"You’re a puppy," Jeonghan corrects.
Meanwhile, Jihyo is still staring at you like you’ve lost your mind. "So you want him, but that’s the problem."
"Yes."
She stares harder. "You’re gonna have to give me more than that."
You huff, crossing your arms. "Look, it’s one thing to think a guy is hot. It’s another to actually want to do something about it. And it’s another thing entirely when that guy is Seungcheol."
Jeonghan hums. "Because he’s…?"
"Because he’s Seungcheol." You gesture vaguely. "Effortlessly hot. Stupidly charming. A literal menace who just gets whatever he wants without even trying."
Jihyo raises an eyebrow. "And that’s… bad?"
You exhale. "It’s bad because I don’t lose. And I will lose against him."
There’s a beat of silence. Then Jeonghan bursts out laughing.
"Oh, my God," he wheezes, clutching his stomach. "This is amazing."
Mingyu blinks. "I still don’t get it."
Irene sighs, shaking her head. "She’s afraid he’s gonna wreck her life."
Mingyu tilts his head. "That’s dramatic."
Jihyo just smirks. "So what’s your plan?"
You sigh. "I don’t have one." And that? That’s the real problem.
It happens when you least expect it. One second, you’re at the bar with Jihyo, fending off yet another round of questioning. The next Seungcheol is there.
"Can I borrow her for a second?" he asks smoothly, voice just low enough that only you can hear the real intent behind it.
Jihyo raises a brow, eyes flickering between the two of you. You can practically hear her thoughts. But before she can say anything, Seungcheol’s hand finds yours then he’s pulling you away.
You follow, weaving through the crowd until he tugs you into a small corner of the bar. A photobooth. You barely register it before he pulls the curtain shut behind you. The space is tiny. Cramped. You can feel the heat of him, too close, too intoxicating.
"You could’ve just asked to talk," you say, leaning against the side of the booth like you’re not at all affected.
Seungcheol smirks, eyes flickering down to your lips for just a second. "Where’s the fun in that?"
Your pulse jumps. "You like making things difficult, don’t you?"
"I could say the same about you."
You roll your eyes, but the way he’s looking at you—steady, knowing, amused as hell—makes it hard to breathe.
"So," he says, voice softer now, more serious, "why didn’t you text me?"
You exhale, meeting his gaze. "Because I knew you’d find a way to track me down anyway."
"You think you have me figured out?"
You tilt your head, letting the silence stretch before you answer. "I think you don’t like losing."
Seungcheol watches you for a beat. Then he laughs. It’s soft at first, then full and deep, shaking his shoulders as he shakes his head. "God," he mutters, "I should’ve found you sooner."
Your chest tightens. The photobooth timer starts blinking.

His gaze dips—

You don’t move away
1.
The camera clicks. So does something else between you.
The next day at work, you’re in a mood. You glare at your computer. You glare at your coffee. You glare at the innocent potted plant on your desk. And your friends notice.
Jeonghan doesn’t ask immediately. He waits until you’re both in line at the café, you’re scrolling through your phone, pretending you don’t notice him watching you.
"So," he says casually, "when are you seeing him again?"
You freeze. Your finger hovers over your screen. You don’t look at him, but you can feel his smirk. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Jeonghan hums. "Sure you don’t."
You take a deep breath. "Nothing happened."
"See, I know that’s a lie," he says, stepping forward as the line moves. "Because if nothing happened, you wouldn’t be acting like a walking existential crisis."
You scowl. "I am not—"
"—a walking existential crisis?" Jeonghan interrupts, raising a brow. "Oh, please. You’ve been glitching all morning."
You roll your eyes, finally looking at him. "You’re being dramatic."
"Am I?" He crosses his arms. "Because if I recall correctly, you’re the one who wanted him at first sight."
You click your tongue, shifting your weight. "And that’s the problem."
Jeonghan leans in slightly, intrigued. "Because?"
You sigh, running a hand through your hair. "Because I’m hot and cold about this, okay? One second, I want to see where this goes. The next, I’m ready to vanish into the void."
He blinks. "So you like him."
You hesitate. "I—"
Jeonghan’s smirk returns. "Oh, you so like him."
You glare. "I barely know him."
"But you want to," he points out.
You exhale, dragging a hand down your face. "That’s exactly the problem. I don’t get like this."
Jeonghan nods slowly, as if considering. "So what I’m hearing is… Seungcheol has you shook."
You groan, stepping forward as the line moves again. "I hate you."
"You love me."
"Debatable."
He chuckles, shaking his head. "Look, you can keep overthinking this, or you can just let yourself have some fun." He tilts his head. "Unless you’re scared?"
You bristle. "I’m not scared."
His smile widens. "Maybe. Or maybe you’ve just met your match." You stare at him, but before you can argue, the barista calls your order.
Jeonghan winks. "Think about it."
"This," you say flatly, "is why I hate most men."
Jeonghan snickers. "Oh, so you admit you don’t hate all men?"
You glare at him over the rim of your cup. "Unfortunately, some of you have managed to slip through the cracks."
He hums thoughtfully. "And would you say Seungcheol is one of those ‘slip through the cracks’ cases?"
You almost choke on your drink. "Jeonghan," you say warningly.
"Just saying," he muses, blowing on his coffee
You scoff. "Oh, please."
But then you hesitate because, damn it, he has a point. You liked Seungcheol immediately. One look, and you wanted him. And that never happens. It’s annoying. It’s unnerving. And the worst part? Seungcheol knows it.
It’s been a long day. You step out of the building, already thinking about what to make for dinner when you see him.
Seungcheol leaning against his car like he’s posing for a magazine, arms crossed, watching you with an amused tilt of his head. You stop in your tracks.
He smirks.
"Busy?" he asks, pushing off the car as you approach.
You narrow your eyes. "How did you know I was here?"
“Mingyu” you mutter under your breath how you’re going to kill the 6 foot tall man tomorrow.
Seungcheol chuckles. "Be nice. I was gonna find you eventually."
You glare. "That’s not the point."
He tilts his head. "Then what is?"
You open your mouth then close it. Because, honestly? You’re not sure. Why does he keep coming back? And why the hell do you feel kind of excited that he’s here?
Seungcheol watches you wrestle with your thoughts, then grins. "You gonna invite me up?"
"To my apartment?"
"Where else?"
You fold your arms. "That’s bold."
He steps closer, just enough that you catch the faintest whiff of his cologne. "I don’t like wasting time."
Your heart skips. You should tell him to leave. You should ignore how good he looks in that damn suit. Instead you sigh. "Fine. But if you track me down again because of Mingyu, I’m sending both of you to hell."
Seungcheol grins. "Deal."
The entire drive back to your place is infuriating.
Seungcheol is smiling, smirking, even, like he just won some kind of game. Meanwhile, you’re glaring out the window, arms crossed, regretting every decision that led to this moment. When he finally pulls up to your building, you let out a deep breath, like you’ve just survived something mentally exhausting.
"You always this grumpy?" Seungcheol teases as he steps out of the car.
You shoot him a look. "You always this persistent?"
He just grins. You roll your eyes, leading him up to your apartment. The moment you step inside, you toe off your shoes, toss your bag onto the couch, and grab your phone.
"I’m ordering food," you announce, already scrolling through your go-to delivery app. Seungcheol follows you in, looking around like he’s taking mental notes.
"Nice place," he comments, settling onto your couch like he’s been here before.
You glance at him. "You say that like you weren’t planning to judge it."
And before you can stop yourself, you ask, "Why are you doing this?"
Seungcheol looks at you, head tilting slightly. "Doing what?"
You sigh, turning to fully face him. "This." You motion between the two of you. "Showing up. Finding my number. Tracking me down." For a second, he just watches you. Like he’s figuring something out. Then, he leans back, resting an arm over the couch.
"So this is why they call you the man hater."
You blink. "Excuse me?"
“You’re suspicious of a guy just because he likes you?"
You stare at him, trying to come up with a solid counterargument, something to wipe that smug look off his face.
"Weren’t you the one who approached me first?" Seungcheol asks, raising a brow.
You freeze because technically, yes. You were. That night at the bar, it was you who walked up to him. You who spoke first. You who, despite your reputation of never being impressed by men, took one look at him and wanted him.
And Seungcheol, the same man who apparently turns down women without a second thought, didn’t turn you away. And now? He’s here. Sitting on your couch. Acting like this is just the natural order of things.
"You’re twisting my words," you argue, folding your arms.
"Am I?"
You narrow your eyes. "I approached you because I was curious."
He tilts his head. "And now?"
Every interaction with him has been throwing you off your game. You’re used to being in control but with Seungcheol, it’s like every move he makes is intentional, and he’s too good at getting under your skin.
"You’re annoying," you finally say.
He smirks. "And yet, here I am."
You let out a slow exhale, rolling your eyes. "I should’ve ignored your number that night."
Seungcheol watches your expression shift, and something about it amuses him. "You always like this?"
"Like what?"
He leans forward slightly, resting his elbows on his knees. "Fighting yourself."
You stare at him. "I don’t—"
"You do," he interrupts, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. "You’re hot and cold with me, and I think it’s because you don’t like how much you want this."
You hate that he’s right.
"You are so—"
"Annoying?" He grins. "You’ve said."
"Why are you even interested?"
“I like you."
Your heart skips but you refuse to let him see that. So instead, you exhale, shaking your head as you tap at your phone. "You’re ridiculous."
"And you like that," he counters. You pretend you don’t hear him as you place the order.
The food arrives, and you both settle in to eat. Seungcheol sits across from you, comfortably digging into his meal like he belongs here. Like he hasn’t been pushing your buttons all night.
You, on the other hand? You’re still glaring.
He looks up mid-bite, noticing your expression, and smirks. "You always eat like you’re plotting a murder?"
You stab at your food with a little more force than necessary. "Just considering my options."
He chuckles, shaking his head. "You should really work on your intimidation tactics."
You huff. "They work on everyone else."
"Ah," he nods, chewing thoughtfully. "So I’m special."
You pause. Damn it. "That’s not what I—"
He holds up a hand, cutting you off. "Don’t worry, I get it. I’m persistent, irritatingly charming, and you don’t know what to do with that."
You scowl. "I know exactly what to do with that."
He raises a brow. "Yeah?"
"Yeah." You gesture to the door. "Kick you out." Seungcheol laughs. Full-bodied, genuine, like you’re the most entertaining thing he’s come across in a long time. You hate how nice it sounds.
"Okay," he says, still grinning. "I’ll leave—after we finish eating."
You squint. "You act like you’re doing me a favor."
He smirks. "Aren’t I?"
You refuse to dignify that with a response. Instead, you focus on your food, pointedly ignoring how Seungcheol watches you with that infuriatingly amused expression, like he already knows he’ll see you again.
After dinner you walk him to the door, arms crossed, your glare still very much in place. Seungcheol, in contrast, looks ridiculously satisfied, like he’s had the best night of his life just bothering you.
You stop at the door, unlocking it before turning to him with a deadpan expression.
"I changed my mind," you announce.
His brows lift slightly. "About what?"
"I don’t like you anymore."
Seungcheol grins. Like full-on, dimple-showing, teeth-flashing grin.
"That so?" he hums, stepping just a little closer, enough that you have to tilt your head to keep eye contact.
Your jaw tightens. "Yes."
He tilts his head slightly, watching you with the same entertained look he’s had all night.
"That’s a shame," he murmurs.
You cross your arms tighter. "Why?"
"Because," he leans in, voice dropping just enough to make your breath catch, "I still like you." He pulls back, opens the door himself, and steps out.
"Goodnight," he says, like this is just routine now. Leaving you standing there, your heart beating entirely too fast, absolutely furious that he got the last word.
The next morning, you stomp out of your building and slide into Jeonghan’s car with more force than necessary.
Jeonghan barely glances at you before pulling out onto the street. "Good morning to you too."
You cross your arms, scowling at the window. "I hate him."
"Who?"
You don’t answer right away, mostly because admitting it feels like a loss. But then, under your breath "Seungcheol."
Jeonghan laughs. "You know, for someone who supposedly hates men, you’re really bad at resisting this one."
"I’m not—" You pause. "He’s just—annoying."
"And yet," Jeonghan drawls, "here you are, grumbling his name first thing in the morning."
You shoot him a glare. "Drive the damn car, Jeonghan."
He grins wider, turning up the radio. "Whatever you say, lovergirl."
You get to your desk, ready to start your day with the same level of annoyance you’ve carried since last night and then you see them. A bouquet. Right there. Sitting in the middle of your desk. Jeonghan, who’s still walking behind you, lets out a low whistle. "Oh, would you look at that?"
You drop your bag, snatch up the little card attached, and read it twice just to be sure your eyes aren’t deceiving you.
Try again. I think you still like me. —S.C.
Your eye twitches. Jeonghan, blatantly reading over your shoulder, bursts out laughing.
"Oh, this is amazing," he says, delighted. "I’ve never seen someone get under your skin this fast."
You slam the card down, glaring at the flowers like they’re the true enemy. "I hate him."
"You’ve mentioned." Jeonghan plucks one of the flowers from the bouquet, twirling it between his fingers. "So what are you gonna do?"
You grab the bouquet with way too much force, march over to Mingyu’s desk, and shove it onto his table. Mingyu, who was minding his own damn business, blinks in confusion. "Uh—?"
"They’re yours now," you say, turning away.
"But—"
"You’re welcome!" you call over your shoulder, marching back to your desk. Jeonghan watches the entire thing with an evil smirk.
"You really think that’s gonna stop him?" he muses.
You drop into your chair, arms crossed. "I don’t care."
Meanwhile, across town Seungcheol leans back in his chair, arms crossed, watching Joshua with a smirk.
"She gave them to Mingyu?"
Joshua, who had just finished relaying the entire story from Mingyu’s frantic texts, sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "She didn’t even hesitate."
Seungcheol chuckles, clearly not deterred. "Figures."
Joshua gives him a look. "You sound way too happy about that."
"Because I am," Seungcheol says simply.
Joshua stares. "You just got rejected via floral delivery, and you’re smiling."
Seungcheol shrugs, completely unbothered. "She reacted."
Joshua raises a brow. "That’s your takeaway?"
"Of course," Seungcheol leans forward, tapping his fingers against his desk. "If she really didn’t care, she would’ve ignored them. But instead, she marched across the office, gave them to Mingyu, and made sure I’d hear about it."
Joshua squints. "That’s…a reach."
Seungcheol just grins. "Is it?"
Joshua sighs, already exhausted. "Okay, so what’s the plan now, lover boy?"
Seungcheol picks up his phone, scrolling through his contacts until he lands on the one he had personally gotten from Mingyu last week. Your phone buzzes on your desk, and you glance at it once. Then you freeze because there, bright as day, Seungcheol.
Your fingers twitch. You shouldn’t pick up. In fact, you should do the responsible thing and ignore him completely but then the call keeps ringing, like he knows you’re staring at it, like he’s waiting for you to break.
You almost ignore it..Almost. With an annoyed huff, you snatch up the phone and answer.
"What."
A low chuckle greets you from the other end. "That’s no way to greet your boyfriend."
Your entire body jerks. "Excuse me?"
"Ah," Seungcheol hums, clearly amused. "Too soon?"
"Way too soon," you deadpan. "And completely delusional."
"And yet, here you are, answering my call."
Your eye twitches. "Do you want something, or are you just here to waste my time?"
"Both," he admits easily.
You resist the urge to throw your phone. "Seungcheol."
"Fine, fine," he laughs. "Just wanted to check if my flowers got delivered."
You glare at nothing. "Oh, they did."
"And?"
"And they now belong to Mingyu." There’s a beat of silence then he’s laughing. And you hate it, you hate how good it sounded.
“You’re so cute when you’re difficult."
You hang up immediately and then proceed to glare at your phone like it’s personally betrayed you. Across the room, Jeonghan watches your entire reaction unfold, smirk growing wider by the second.
"So," he drawls, "how’s your boyfriend?"
You launch a stress ball at his head.
Later that night, Jeonghan is sprawled out on your couch, one arm slung over his face as he lazily kicks at the air.
"You got any more of those fancy chips?" he asks.
You barely glance up from your phone. "Pantry."
"Ugh. Too far."
"You have legs."
He groans dramatically, but he doesn’t move. You roll your eyes and keep scrolling, ignoring him—until his voice turns serious.
"Alright," he says, sitting up. "All jokes aside—what’s going on?"
You pause, side-eyeing him. "What?"
Jeonghan leans forward, elbows on his knees, studying you in a way that makes you shift uncomfortably.
"You said it yourself that you wanted him," he says, voice softer now. "So why are you acting like this?"
Because you’ve been here before. Because the last time you really liked someone, you got your hopes up, and it all went to shit. Because you’ve learned the hard way that people say one thing and do another, that words mean nothing without action.
Jeonghan knows this. He’s been there through it all—through the flings, the almost-relationships, the guys who were great until they weren’t. He was there when you decided you were done trying, when you shrugged off love like it was an optional extra, not something you needed.
Now, he’s watching you like he’s seeing through you.
"You’re scared," he says simply.
You scoff. "I am not—"
"You are," he cuts in. "And I get it. But you can’t keep pushing people away just because they might disappoint you."
You bite your lip, looking away.
"Seungcheol isn’t them," Jeonghan continues. "And I don’t think he’s gonna give up just because you’re being difficult."
"...Maybe he should."
Jeonghan chuckles, but it’s not mocking. "Too bad for you, I don’t think he will."
You scoff, crossing your arms. "He will."
Jeonghan raises a brow, amused. "You sure about that?"
"Yes," you say firmly. "He’s rich, good-looking, and clearly used to getting what he wants. Guys like him don’t chase for long. The second I make it too much work, he’ll move on."
Jeonghan just smirks, shaking his head. "That’s cute. You think you’re hard to want."
You glare. "Don’t analyze me. I am not dealing with another guy who’s all interest at first and then disappears the moment things get real."
Jeonghan hums, watching you for a moment. Then, with a knowing glint in his eyes, he asks, "So if he doesn’t disappear?"
You blink.
"If he doesn’t give up," Jeonghan says, leaning closer. "If he keeps showing up, keeps proving you wrong—then what?"
You press your lips together, refusing to answer. Because you don’t know.
Jeonghan’s words replay in your head for the next couple of days. You try to brush them off, but they stick. if he doesn’t give up, then what?
But then, Seungcheol stops contacting you.No texts. No calls. No annoying flower deliveries. And in your mind, you’re like, See? I was right.
You told Jeonghan exactly how this would go. Guys like Seungcheol don’t chase for long. They get bored, they move on, they—
Knock, knock.
Your head snaps toward the door, heart inexplicably jumping. It’s late. You’re already in pajamas, wrapped in a blanket on your couch, halfway through a show you weren’t even paying attention to. The knocking comes again.
Slowly, you get up and pull open the door and there he is.
Seungcheol stands in front of you, looking annoyingly good despite the slight exhaustion in his eyes. He’s wearing a dark coat over a fitted sweater, and there’s an expensive-looking suitcase at his feet.
And in his hand a snow globe.
You blink. "What…?"
"Hey," he says, Just got back from a business trip."
You stare at him. "A business trip."
"Yeah." He lifts the snow globe slightly. "Paris.".
"You brought me a souvenir?"
Seungcheol smirks. "What, you think I’d go all the way to Paris and not bring you something?"
"I—" You pause, suddenly feeling very warm despite the cold draft from the open door. "I just—"
"You thought I gave up," he says simply.
Your stomach flips. You cross your arms, standing a little straighter. "Maybe."
For a second, neither of you say anything. Then, before your brain can catch up, you reach out slow, hesitant and take the snow globe from his hand.
"...Thanks," you mumble.
Seungcheol grins. "You’re welcome."
You step aside, wordlessly letting him in. Seungcheol doesn’t hesitate, walking past you like he belongs there.
"Why do you always look like you want to fight me?" he asks, amused.
"I don’t," you say flatly.
"You do," he counters, dropping onto your couch like it’s his. "You’ve been glaring at me since the day we met."
You cross your arms. "Maybe it’s just my face."
"It’s cute."
You narrow your eyes. "Don’t start."
Seungcheol laughs, stretching out comfortably. "You gonna offer me a drink or just keep staring at me?"
You inhale sharply, fighting the urge to throw him out. Instead, you turn and march into the kitchen, grabbing two glasses of water. When you return, he’s still lounging on your couch, completely at home.
You set his glass down with a little too much force. "Here."
Seungcheol picks it up, giving you a slow, knowing look. "You’re really bad at this," he says.
"At what?"
"Letting yourself like me." You almost choke on your own water. And Seungcheol? He just smiles.
He takes a slow sip of his water, watching you over the rim of the glass like he’s studying you. Then, like he can read your mind, he says, "Before you start spiraling—I didn’t text because I was busy. Meetings from morning to night, different time zones, clients to entertain. I barely slept, let alone had time to talk."
You blink. "I didn’t ask," you say, defensive.
He smirks. "Then don’t overthink."
You open your mouth to argue because you were not overthinking, thank you very much—but he just keeps going.
"I was in Paris for four days. Mostly business, but I had a few hours to walk around. Thought about you when I saw that snow globe."
Your stomach flips against your will. You grip your glass tighter. "You—what?"
"I thought you’d like it," he says simply. "Or maybe you'd just glare at it. Either way, it reminded me of you."
You stare at him, lips parting slightly because what the hell is he even saying? Because he says it like it’s not a big deal. Like it’s normal to have you on his mind while he’s halfway across the world. So, naturally, you do what you do best—deflect.
"You just showed up at my place," you say, voice carefully flat. "What if I wasn’t home?"
Seungcheol grins. "Then I’d have waited."
"Like a stalker?"
"Like a guy who wants to see you."
Your brain short-circuits.You scramble for something anything to say, but he beats you to it.
"You really don’t get it, do you?"
You frown. "Get what?"
He leans forward, setting his glass down on the coffee table, and your whole body tenses when he holds your gaze. "I don’t do things halfway," he says. "I wanted you from the start. That hasn’t changed."
And suddenly, you’re overthinking again. You fold your arms across your chest, keeping your expression carefully neutral. "You're just saying that because you like the chase."
Seungcheol raises an eyebrow, leaning back slightly. "And you're saying that because you want me to think you're still a man hater."
"Excuse me?" you say, narrowing your eyes.
He shrugs, completely unfazed. "You keep acting like you don’t care, like you’re waiting for me to mess up so you can say ‘See? I told you so.’ But you’re just trying to protect yourself."
He’s too damn perceptive. Too calm, too confident in the way he calls you out.
"You don’t know what you’re talking about," you mutter, looking away.
Seungcheol scoffs. "I do, actually."
He leans forward again, resting his elbows on his knees. "You liked me the second you saw me," he says, voice lower now, smoother. "And that scared the hell out of you."
Your breath catches because he’s right. You hate that he’s right. And the worst part? He sees it. You don’t answer. That's when Seungcheol does something you don’t expect. He stands up. And just like that, the whole atmosphere shifts. The teasing glint in his eyes is gone, replaced with something steadier. Something serious.
"If you don’t want me here, say the word and I’ll leave."
You swallow hard. Your fingers tighten around the edge of your sweater. Because this is it. The out you’ve been waiting for. The chance to end this before you get in too deep.
Your voice is quieter than you intend when you say, "If I do, will you leave?"
Seungcheol watches you, his gaze unwavering. "Yes." You know he’s telling the truth. He’s not the kind of guy to stick around where he isn’t wanted.
"You won’t fight for it?" you ask, hating how vulnerable the words sound.
A small, knowing smile tugs at the corner of his lips. "I already am."
Your breath catches because damn him. Damn him for saying things like that. Damn him for not pushing, not forcing, just waiting.
So instead, you exhale, looking away. "Sit down, you’re making me nervous."
Seungcheol smiles and just like that, the tension cracks.
"Yes, ma’am," he teases, sinking back onto the couch like he owns the place.
You roll your eyes, but the corner of your lips betrays you—a slight, reluctant twitch. He sees it, of course. And you don’t miss the satisfied look on his face when he does.
A few days later, Mingyu ruins everything.
“We should go out for drinks,” he says, like it’s just a casual suggestion and not a trap. And like idiots, you all agree. You don’t think anything of it until "By the way," Mingyu adds, far too casually, "I invited Seungcheol."
You freeze.
Mingyu grins, oblivious to the murderous intent in your eyes. "You don’t mind, right?"
Jeonghan snickers. Irene and Jihyo exchange looks.
"Why would she mind?" Irene asks, ever the instigator.
"You’re all insufferable," you mutter, grabbing your drink and pretending you’re unaffected.
You’re going to ignore him. You’re going to sit with your friends, drink, and not think about him. It’s a solid plan.
Then he walks in.
And suddenly, your plan evaporates.
Seungcheol is unfair. Black button-up, sleeves rolled up to his forearms, looking effortlessly good in the worst possible way. He steps into the bar with Joshua beside him, scanning the room and then his eyes land on you.
You should play it cool. Pretend to be mad at him. Hold onto your last shred of self-respect but the moment you see him, you walk straight up to him, ignoring the way your friends watch with poorly concealed amusement.
Seungcheol’s lips twitch, like he was expecting this. "Hi."
You scowl. "I hate you."
He grins. "You said that last time. Didn’t sound very convincing then either."
You open your mouth to argue—but you don’t. Because damn it, you don’t hate him at all. So you stare at him, arms crossed, and say, “What, you’re too busy now?”
His smirk deepens. “Didn’t know you’d miss me so much.”
You scoff. “I didn’t say that.”
“But you implied it.”
Your eyes narrow. “You’re deflecting.”
He shrugs, completely unbothered. “I’ve been busy.”
“Oh, so you admit it?”
Seungcheol tilts his head, amused. “Didn’t I text you?”
Your lips press together. Okay, fair point. He did text. A few times.
A "How was your day?"A "Don’t overthink too much."
Still, you lift your chin. “Texts aren’t the same.”
His brow arches. “So you’re saying you wanted to see me?”
“That is absolutely not what I said.”
Seungcheol just laughs. “But it’s what you meant.”
“Oh my god, I hate you.”
His grin is downright infuriating. “You keep saying that, but I don’t think you mean it.”
You spin on your heel. “I’m leaving.”
Seungcheol just laughs, completely unbothered, like he already knows you don’t mean it. He slides into the seat beside you like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
“I was busy because of work,” he murmurs, voice smooth, almost apologetic—but not quite. “Wanted to come see you, but I figured you’d be tired after work, too.”
Your eyes narrow. “That’s your excuse?”
He tilts his head, smirking. “It’s the truth.”
You glare harder, hoping it’ll somehow make him squirm. It doesn’t. He just watches you, the corner of his mouth twitching like he’s fighting back a laugh.
“So considerate of you,” you say dryly.
He hums. “I try.” Seungcheol, of course, takes that as his cue to get comfortable. He leans back, stretching his arm along the back of the booth—not quite touching you, but close enough.
“You’re still mad,” he observes, sounding entirely too entertained.
“No,” you deadpan. “I’m thrilled.”
Seungcheol laughs under his breath. “You’re cute when you sulk.”
Your head snaps toward him, eyes burning with fresh irritation. “I am not sulking.”
He just grins. “Whatever you say.”
You step out onto the balcony, the night air cool against your skin as you take a deep breath. You just need a moment, one single moment to yourself. Of course, that’s impossible when Seungcheol is involved.
The door clicks shut behind you, and you don’t even have to turn around to know it’s him. You sigh, rubbing your temples. “Don’t mind me. I’ll sulk on my own.”
Seungcheol hums as he leans against the railing beside you. “Nah, can’t let that happen.”
You throw him a glare. “And why not?”
He shrugs, watching the city lights with an infuriatingly calm expression. “I’d feel bad.”
You scoff. “Oh, now you feel bad?”
“I’ve always felt bad.”
“You don’t look like you do.”
He tilts his head toward you, smiling slightly. “Alright, what do you want, then?”
You exhale, glancing away. The truth sits heavy on your tongue, but you don’t say it. You’re still you, after all. Instead, you mutter, “For you to stop being annoying.”
A breeze drifts between you, carrying the sounds of laughter from inside. For a second, neither of you speak. Then Seungcheol nudges your arm lightly. “You’re really not gonna admit you missed me, huh?”
You don’t say anything.
His smirk softens into something else. Something dangerous. “I can wait.” He exhales, watching you carefully. The smirk fades, replaced by something quieter. something real.
Then he says it.
“I missed you.”
The words slip out so casually, so effortlessly, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. Your fingers tighten around the railing. Your brain stalls. Your heart does this stupid little flip in your chest. You finally turn to face him, none of the usual teasing or frustration in your expression is just seriousness.
“If it’s going to be like this,” you say, voice steady, “you disappear for days, then coming back like nothing happened then it’s not going to work.”
Seungcheol’s smirk fades completely. He studies you, really looks at you, and you can tell he understands that you’re not just saying this to pick a fight.
He exhales, rubbing the back of his neck. “It’s not like that.”
“Isn’t it?” You cross your arms. “You come and then go, then you just show up out of nowhere. Do you expect me to just—” You shake your head. “I don’t play games, Seungcheol.”
“I know,” he says immediately. “I know you don’t.”
You sigh. “Then what are we doing?”
He’s quiet for a moment. Then, carefully, “I didn’t think you’d want me to check in like that.”
You blink. “Why wouldn’t I?”
He hesitates. “Because you act like you don’t care half the time.” That stings. Not because he’s wrong, but because he’s right.
You inhale sharply. “That’s just how I am.”
“I know,” he says again, softer this time. “But if I’m going to try with you, I don’t want to be another person you expect to leave.”
Seungcheol holds your gaze, unwavering. “So tell me what you want. What you really want.”
For the first time since this started, you don’t have a comeback. You suddenly feel the urge to leave.
Seungcheol’s words sit heavy in your chest—you act like you don’t care half the time. It stung more than you wanted to admit, and now the whole night feels ruined.
“I’m heading out,” you say abruptly, turning on your heel.
You return inside, Seungcheol following behind you. Jeonghan, ever the observant one, catches on immediately. “Let’s go home yea?” he says, grabbing his coat. He doesn’t ask questions, doesn’t press. Just sticks by your side, because he knows you.
Mingyu frowns. “Already? But we just—”
“Let her go,” Seungcheol says. His voice is unreadable. You don’t look back. Jeonghan walks you out, calls a ride, and when you’re finally inside the car, he leans back with a sigh.
“You gonna tell me what happened?”
You stare out the window. “No.”
He hums, not pushing further. Instead, when you get home, he stays. Puts on a random movie, hands you a blanket, and lets you sit in silence.
Because Jeonghan knows you’ll talk when you’re ready. He doesn’t look at you right away. He stays focused on the movie, lthen he hears it.
A sniffle.
It’s quiet, barely there, but Jeonghan notices everything.
He doesn’t immediately react, doesn’t turn his head or ask if you’re okay, because he knows you. Knows that if he does, you’ll shut down completely.
“I think I’m screwing it up.”
Jeonghan doesn’t even blink. “With Seungcheol?”
You nod.
“Yeah,” he says, blowing on his own tea. “I figured.”
You furrow your brows. “How?”
He snorts. “Because you’re you.” You glare at him again, but he just drives. Eyes still on the road
“I’m serious,”
“So am I,” he says easily. “You’re panicking because this is probably the first time in a long time that you actually like someone. And instead of dealing with it like a normal person, you’re, well—”
“Ruining it?”
Jeonghan shrugs. “Self-sabotaging. But close enough.”
“Great.”
Jeonghan watches you for a moment. Then, softer this time “What did he say to make you leave?”
You hesitate. Then, voice barely above a whisper “That I act like I don’t care.”
“Well, he’s not wrong.”
You snap your head toward him, eyes wide. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.”
You scowl, ready to argue, but then the truth of it hits you.
And maybe that’s why it hurt so much. Because Seungcheol wasn’t wrong. Because you do act like you don’t care, even when you do. Because this whole time, you’ve been pushing and pulling, running hot and cold, and yet
Yet, he’s still here. Still choosing you. The realization makes your chest feel uncomfortably tight.
So you do what you always do when it gets too much. You don’t reach out.
Not the next day. Not the day after that. You tell yourself it’s for the best. That it’s easier this way. That Seungcheol will eventually get the hint and move on.
But then why do you feel like absolute shit?
You go through the motions—work, home, repeat—but there’s this persistent weight in your chest that refuses to go away.
It’s easy to avoid Seungcheol, at least. He works across town, and it’s not like you run in the same circles outside of Mingyu dragging him along. Still. You hate how aware you are of his absence. It’s ridiculous, really. You’ve only known him for a few months, but somehow, he’s already made himself at home in your thoughts.
You wonder if he’s given up on you yet. If he’s decided you’re not worth the effort. The thought makes you feel worse.
You almost walk right past him.
Almost.
“Hey.”
Your steps falter. You take a slow breath before turning to him. He’s standing by the entrance of your building, hands in his pockets, looking at you like he’s been waiting.
You scoff. “Oh. Now you know me?”
Seungcheol exhales sharply, shaking his head. “Don’t do that.”
You don’t even know what exactly you’re doing, but you’re already annoyed. “Do what?”
He gives you a flat look. “Push me away.”
You cross your arms. “Maybe you should take the hint, then.”
Seungcheol steps forward. “You don’t want that.”
You step back. “I don’t?”
“You don’t.” You hate that he’s right. That he can see it. That it’s written all over your face no matter how hard you try to deny it and it frustrates you. More than it should.
“Look, Seungcheol,” you sigh, voice heavy with exhaustion. “You can’t just disappear for days and then show up like—”
“Like what?” he interrupts. “Like I actually give a damn about you?” You flinch. It’s not even what he said. It’s how he said it. The sincerity in his voice. The quiet frustration.
You look away. “I didn’t ask you to.”
He laughs under his breath. “Yeah. That’s the problem, isn’t it?”
You hate the way he’s looking at you. Like he knows. Like he’s waiting for you to stop fighting him. You shake your head. “You should go.”
But Seungcheol doesn’t move. Instead, he tilts his head, studying you. “Do you want me to?”
The answer is no but you don’t say it. You can’t stand the way he looks at you, like he’s already figured you out. Like he knows every excuse, every defense mechanism, every wall you put up before you even have the chance to throw them at him.
So you do what you do best. You push.
"Let’s just go back to thinking I don’t care." The words taste bitter, but you swallow them down, turning on your heel before he can say anything else.
You walk away.
One step.
Two.
Three.
You expect him to stop you. To grab your wrist. To call your name again. To say something but he doesn’t.
The air is heavy with everything unsaid, with everything you’re choosing to leave behind. And yet the farther you get, the harder it is to breathe. Your own words echo in your head, louder and louder, until you almost want to take them back.
Almost.
But you don’t.
Because that would mean admitting that he’s right. That you don’t actually want him to leave. That you’ve just been pushing him away because it’s easier than facing what’s really scaring you.
Because if you admit that you care—really, really care—then that means he has the power to hurt you.
And you’re not sure if you can survive that again.
And Seungcheol?
He lets you go.
The next day Jeonghan doesn’t even need to say anything. The moment he sees you step out of your apartment building, he knows. Your eyes are puffy, your hair is a mess, and you look like you barely got any sleep. Like hell, basically.
"So, rough night?" he asks, starting the car. You grunt in response, which tells him enough.
"You wanna talk about it, or should I just let you wallow in silence until you eventually explode?"
"Silence."
"Got it."
The drive is quiet, but Jeonghan sneaks glances at you every now and then. He’s been with you long enough to recognize when you’re doing it again. The overthinking. The self-sabotaging. The pushing away before you can get hurt.
He knows you want Seungcheol. He knows you care. And he knows that you’re terrified of letting yourself have something good.
So when he finally pulls into the parking lot and parks the car, he doesn’t unlock the doors right away. Instead, he turns to you, voice softer this time.
"You look miserable."
"Wow, thanks."
"I mean it. You look like you barely slept. You’re doing that thing where you overthink yourself into a corner and decide for yourself that you’re better off alone before anyone can prove you wrong."
You hate how accurate that is. "I don’t wanna talk about it, Hannie."
"Fine." He unlocks the doors. "But at some point, you’re gonna have to."
You sigh and grab your bag, stepping out of the car. But as you walk toward the building, Jeonghan calls after you.
"Just answer me one thing—if he calls, are you gonna pick up?"
You pause. The fact that you even hesitate tells him everything. Jeonghan watches you, waiting. Maybe hoping. But when you finally speak, your voice is so quiet.
“No.”
It’s not stubborn. It’s not defensive. It’s not even angry. It’s just… defeated. Like every last bit of fight has already drained out of you.
And that is what makes Jeonghan shut up.
So, even though it kills him to see you like this, he sighs and just says, “Alright. Dropped.”
But Jeonghan doesn’t move right away. He just sits there in the driver’s seat, watching you disappear through the doors. And for the first time in a long time, he wonders if this time—with Seungcheol—maybe you’re making a mistake.
Jeonghan, Jihyo, Mingyu, and Irene are already a few drinks in when Mingyu suddenly stiffens, his eyes narrowing toward the entrance of the bar.
“Oh, shit.”
Jihyo follows his gaze and lets out a low whistle. “Well, well, well. Look who it is.”
Jeonghan doesn’t even need to look. He already knows. Joshua Hong walks in first, smiling as he exchanges greetings with someone at the bar.
And right behind him? Choi Seungcheol.
It’s been 2 weeks and Seungcheol looks… the same. Maybe a little tired, but still him. The group watches as he follows Joshua toward a table, not even glancing their way.
“Are we going to talk to them?” Irene asks, swirling her drink.
“Should we?” Mingyu hesitates.
Jeonghan sighs, rubbing his temples. He’s been waiting for something like this to happen. Because of course it would. The universe wouldn’t let things be that easy.
Jeonghan exhales, slow and measured, before tossing back the rest of his drink.
“I’ll go.”
Jihyo raises an eyebrow. “You sure?”
Jeonghan shrugs as he pushes back his chair. “Someone has to.”
Mingyu shifts in his seat. “Want me to—”
“No,” Jeonghan cuts him off, shaking his head. “If it’s just me, he won’t feel cornered.”
They don’t argue. They know Jeonghan well enough to trust him with this. So, with one last glance at the others, Jeonghan straightens his shirt and makes his way across the bar.
“Joshua.”
Joshua turns first, eyebrows lifting in surprise before his lips pull into a smile. “Jeonghan! What a coincidence.”
Seungcheol looks up then, mid-sip of his drink, and his expression flickers—just for a second—before smoothing out. Jeonghan pulls out a chair and sits without asking.
Joshua leans forward, propping his chin on his hand. “Didn’t think I’d be seeing you tonight. The others here too?”
Jeonghan ignores the question and turns to Seungcheol instead. “You doing alright?”
Seungcheol stares at him, unreadable. “Yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?”
Jeonghan hums, tapping his fingers against the table. “Dunno. Just seems like you haven’t been around much lately.”
Joshua looks between them, lips twitching, but he wisely keeps quiet.
Seungcheol finally exhales, setting his drink down. “Is this about—”
“Of course it’s about her.” Jeonghan doesn’t even let him finish. “You think we wouldn’t notice?”
Seungcheol presses his lips into a thin line.
Jeonghan tilts his head. “She’s been avoiding everything that even remotely reminds her of you. And she’s stubborn as hell, but I know her. She’s not okay.”
Seungcheol’s grip tightens on his glass.
Joshua sighs, leaning back in his chair. “This is why I told you to just talk to her already.”
Seungcheol runs a hand down his face, clearly frustrated. “And say what?”
Jeonghan narrows his eyes. “Say you’re sorry. Say you care. Say literally anything, because she’s convinced herself you don’t.”
Seungcheol exhales sharply. “That’s not—” He stops himself, shaking his head. “She told me to leave.”
“She tells everyone to leave,” Jeonghan deadpans. “And she’s always surprised when they actually do.”
Seungcheol goes quiet. Jeonghan leans forward, voice steady but firm. “If you don’t care, then stay away. But if you do? Do something. Because right now, all you’re doing is proving her right.”
Seungcheol stares down at his drink. Jeonghan watches him, waiting.
And then, after a long moment Seungcheol stands.
Joshua blinks. “Oh? We’re going now?” Seungcheol ignores him, pulling his wallet out and throwing some cash on the table. Then, finally, he turns to Jeonghan.
“Where is she?”
Jeonghan tried calling again. Straight to voicemail.
He frowned. “She’s not answering.”
Seungcheol’s jaw clenched. “Is she home?”
“I don’t know,” Jeonghan muttered, already pulling up your shared location—but of course, it was off.
Joshua exhaled through his nose. “Maybe she’s asleep?”
Jeonghan shook his head. “She always leaves her phone on, even if she’s mad. If she’s not answering, it means she either doesn’t want to be found or—” He stops himself, lips pressing into a thin line. Seungcheol didn’t need him to finish the sentence. His hands curled into fists.
“Where would she go?” he asked, voice tight.
Jeonghan exchanged a look with Mingyu, who had come over after noticing their conversation.
Mingyu sighed. “There’s a place. She used to go there when she needed to clear her head.”
Seungcheol didn’t waste time asking more. “Where?”
Mingyu hesitated, just for a second. Then, seeing the way Seungcheol was barely holding himself together, he pulled out his phone and sent the location.
“Don’t mess this up,” Mingyu muttered.
Seungcheol was already heading for the door. He wasn’t sure what he expected when he got there, but an old bookstore tucked into a quiet street wasn’t it. The lights inside were dim and warm, casting a soft glow through the large windows. He pushed the door open, the bell above jingling softly.
An old woman, sitting behind the counter, looked up. She peered at him through her glasses, eyes sharp despite her gentle smile.
“You must be the one,” she said simply.
Seungcheol blinked. “Excuse me?”
The old woman hummed, nodding toward the back. “She’s here. Been here all day.”
He followed her gaze and, sure enough, there you were—curled up in one of the armchairs near the back, a book resting on your lap, though you weren’t reading it. Instead, you were staring out the window, lost in thought.
You felt his presence before you saw him. Maybe it was the way the air shifted, or maybe you had been waiting for him all along, but when he stopped in front of you, you weren’t surprised.
“You’re a hard person to find,” he said quietly.
You closed the book in your lap, fingers tracing the edges of the cover. “Didn’t realize I was supposed to be found.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Why didn’t you tell anyone where you were?”
You shrugged. “Didn’t feel like talking.”
Seungcheol crouched down so he was eye level with you. “Are you okay?”
You looked at him then, really looked at him. His eyes were searching, his face unreadable. And for some reason, that made something in your chest tighten.
“I don’t know,” you admitted.
He exhaled softly. “Can I sit?”
You didn’t answer, but you moved your legs so there was space on the other armchair beside you. He took the silent invitation, settling in.
For a while, neither of you spoke. The quiet hum of the bookstore surrounded you.
Finally, Seungcheol broke the silence. “Why did you run?”
You frowned. “I didn’t run.”
He gave you a look. “You disappeared. No one could reach you. That’s running.”
You sighed, leaning your head back against the chair. “I just needed time.”
“To do what?”
“To think,” you muttered.
Seungcheol tilted his head, watching you closely. “And?”
You hesitated, fingers tightening around the book. “And I don’t know what to do with you.”
He let out a small chuckle. “I get that a lot.”
“I’m serious.”
His expression softened. “So am I.”
You sighed, feeling the weight of everything pressing down on you. “I don’t know how to do this, Seungcheol. I don’t know how to trust that this won’t end up like before.”
He was quiet for a moment. Then, he said, “I’m not whoever hurt you.”
You swallowed. “I know that.”
“Do you?” His voice was gentle, but firm. “Because it seems like you’re punishing me for something I didn’t do.”
Your chest ached. “It’s not that simple.”
“I know,” he said. “But I need you to at least give me a chance.” You stared at him, searching for any hint of dishonesty. But all you found was sincerity.
The lump in your throat grew. “And if I can’t?”
“Then I’ll wait.”
You closed your eyes, exhaling shakily. “You make it sound so easy.”
He smiled, though there was something sad in it. “It’s not. But I think you’re worth it.”
Your heart stumbled over itself. For the first time in a long time, you didn’t know what to say.
The old lady approached with slow, deliberate steps, her sharp gaze flicking between you and Seungcheol. She had seen you come in and out of this bookstore too many times, always with a heavy heart.
“So,” she said, arms crossing over her chest. “Is this the boy that’s been making you cry?”
You inhaled deeply, forcing a small smile as you shook your head. “All of them do.”
She clicked her tongue, giving Seungcheol a pointed look before patting your shoulder. “Men,” she muttered before walking off, leaving the two of you in tense silence. Seungcheol didn’t speak for a long moment. You knew he was looking at you, but you refused to meet his eyes.
Then, finally, in a quiet voice, he asked, “Did I really make you cry?”
You swallowed, keeping your gaze on the book in your lap. “Why do you care?”
His jaw tensed. “Because I didn’t want to.”
A bitter chuckle slipped out. “That’s funny,” you said, glancing at him now. “Because I remember you saying that I don’t care.”
Seungcheol exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. “I was angry.”
You nodded slowly, lips pressing together. “So what do you want from me?”
His brows furrowed. “What?”
You turned fully toward him now, frustration bubbling up again. “What do you want, Seungcheol? You say you’ll wait, but for what? You keep coming back even when I push you away. What are you waiting for?”
He stared at you, something flickering behind his eyes. “You.”
You let out a hollow laugh. “You don’t even know me.”
“Yes, I do,” he shot back. “I know you act like you don’t care because you’re afraid. I know you run before anyone gets the chance to hurt you. And I know you like me.”
Your breath hitched.
He leaned in slightly, voice dropping lower. “That’s why you’re trying so hard to convince yourself that I’ll leave.”
You clenched your jaw. “You will.”
Seungcheol exhaled, shaking his head. “I won’t.”
You opened your mouth to argue again, but before you could, another voice interrupted.
“There you are.” You both turned to see Jeonghan standing by the entrance of the bookstore, arms crossed, an unreadable expression on his face. “I was looking for you.”
Jeonghan’s gaze softened as he looked at you. “Come on,” he said gently. “Let’s go.”
You hesitated, glancing at Seungcheol, whose jaw was now clenched.
Jeonghan sighed, looking between the two of you. “You need space,” he said simply. Then, to Seungcheol, he added, “Give it to her.” Seungcheol didn’t respond immediately. His gaze stayed locked on you, searching, waiting but you didn’t say anything.
Finally, he exhaled and stood. “I’ll wait.”
You hated that those words made your chest tighten. Without another glance, you followed Jeonghan out of the bookstore, leaving Seungcheol behind.
The moment you stepped out of the bookstore, Jeonghan let out a heavy sigh.
“Don’t,” you muttered, already knowing what was coming.
“I didn’t say anything yet,” he shot back, but the look he gave you was enough.
You sighed, rubbing your temples. “Thanks for coming to get me.”
“Oh, don’t thank me,” he said, crossing his arms. “Because now I am going to lecture you.”
You groaned. “Jeonghan—”
“No, listen to me.” His tone was sharper than usual, firm in a way that made you stop walking. “You keep doing this thing where you push people away the second they get too close. And I get it, I do. You don’t want to get hurt. But you are the one hurting yourself.”
Your breath caught, but you said nothing.
Jeonghan huffed. “You like him,” he stated, like it was a fact. “And I know you like him because you’re acting like this.”
You scoffed. “That makes no sense.”
He gave you a pointed look. “It does when it’s you.”
You exhaled slowly, looking away. “He’ll leave.”
“And what if he doesn’t?” Jeonghan challenged. “Are you really going to throw this away just because you think he might leave?”
You pressed your lips together. “You don’t understand.”
Jeonghan let out a humorless laugh. “Oh, I do. Because I’ve watched you do this over and over again. And I didn’t say anything before because, honestly? Most of those guys weren’t worth it.”
You frowned. “And you think he is?”
Jeonghan tilted his head. “Don’t you? Look, if you really don’t want him, then fine. Walk away. But if you do want him—even just a little—then stop making it so hard for yourself.”
You swallowed, your throat suddenly tight.
Jeonghan softened, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Just think about it, alright?”
You didn’t respond. You weren’t sure if you could so you just nodded, and Jeonghan let it go. For now.
Come morning the next day. Seungcheol sat across from Jeonghan, arms crossed as he studied him. He had been skeptical from the start—why Jeonghan always knew exactly what to say to you, why you let him in when you pushed everyone else away.
“You know a lot about her,” Seungcheol said, voice laced with suspicion. “More than just a friend would.”
Jeonghan smirked, stirring his coffee lazily. “That’s because we’re not just friends.”
Seungcheol’s grip on his cup tightened slightly. He wasn’t sure why that statement irritated him so much, but it did. “Then what are you?”
Jeonghan glanced up at him, watching his reaction carefully before finally saying it.
“She’s my stepsister.”
“What?”
Jeonghan leaned back in his chair, sighing like this conversation was long overdue. “Her dad left when she was a kid. It was ugly—messed her up. My dad married her mom when we were in our teens, and suddenly, we were family.”
It made sense now. Why you and Jeonghan were inseparable, why he always seemed to understand you in a way no one else did.
“She doesn’t talk about it,” Jeonghan continued, voice quieter now. “Not to anyone. She pretends it doesn’t affect her, but it does. It’s why she is the way she is. Why she pushes people away before they get too close.”
Seungcheol exhaled, leaning back in his seat. “And you’re telling me this because…?”
Jeonghan met his gaze, all traces of amusement gone. “Because if you’re serious about her, you need to know what you’re up against.”
Now, he understood just how much he had to fight for you. Seungcheol stayed quiet, his mind replaying every interaction he’d had with you. The push and pull, the way you shut him out just when he thought he was getting close. Now, it all made sense.
Jeonghan sighed, watching him carefully before speaking again.
“It’s hard to love her less once you get to know her more.”
Seungcheol’s gaze snapped up, meeting Jeonghan’s knowing eyes.
“That’s why she keeps people at arm’s length,” Jeonghan continued. “Because she knows it too. She’s terrified of people staying just long enough to leave.”
Seungcheol exhaled sharply. “And you think I’m just like everyone else?”
Jeonghan smirked, but there was something softer behind it. “I think you’re different. That’s why she’s this scared.”
Seungcheol didn’t sleep much that night.
Jeonghan’s words stayed with him, looping in his mind until he couldn’t ignore them anymore. You weren’t just pushing him away because you wanted to—you were pushing him away because you were scared. Because you expected him to leave.
And if there was one thing Seungcheol hated, it was being predictable.
The next day, he found himself outside your office again, leaning against his car with his arms crossed. He knew your schedule well enough by now, and when he saw you stepping out, he straightened.
You stopped in your tracks the moment you saw him.
“What are you doing here?” Your voice was flat, but Seungcheol could hear the exhaustion underneath it.
He pushed himself off the car, hands slipping into his pockets. “I needed to see you.”
You exhaled through your nose, already tired of this conversation. “Cheol—”
“No,” he interrupted gently. “This time, just listen.”
Your eyes narrowed, but you didn’t walk away. That was enough for him.
He stepped closer, closing the distance between you. “You asked me what I wanted from you. I didn’t answer then, so I’ll answer now.” His voice was steady, unwavering. “I want you. I want every version of you—the one who glares at me, the one who shuts me out, the one who lets her guard down when she thinks no one’s looking.”
“And then what?”
Seungcheol tilted his head slightly. “Then I keep wanting you. Even when you push me away. Even when you tell yourself you don’t care.”
Your jaw tightened, your emotions warring against your better judgment. “I don’t need saving, Seungcheol.”
“I know,” he said easily. “You never did. But you do need someone who stays.”
Silence stretched between you, thick with unspoken words. Seungcheol could see the way your fingers twitched,
So he softened, just enough. “Jeonghan told me.”
Your breath hitched, and for the first time, Seungcheol saw something other than defiance in your eyes. It was vulnerability, raw and unguarded.
“I don’t pity you,” he said before you could say anything. “I don’t think you’re broken. I just wish you’d let me in.”
You let out a breath, but it wasn’t exasperation this time. It sounded tired. Resigned. “I don’t know how,” you admitted.
Seungcheol gave you a small smile, tilting his head toward his car. “Then let’s figure it out.”
You stared at him for a long moment, trying to convince yourself this was a bad idea. That you should walk away like you always did.
But for the first time in a long time, you didn’t.
Instead, you exhaled sharply, shaking your head. “You’re so fucking annoying.”
Seungcheol grinned. “And yet, here you are.”
He opened the car door for you, waiting. And after another beat, you got in.
As Seungcheol got into the driver’s seat, you folded your arms and eyed him suspiciously.
“So?” you prompted.
He glanced at you. “So, what?”
You narrowed your eyes. “What exactly did Jeonghan tell you?”
Seungcheol tapped his fingers against the steering wheel, as if debating how much to say. “Enough.”
You scoffed. “Right. That’s not vague at all.” He smirked but didn’t answer immediately, which only irritated you more.
You shifted in your seat, arms tightening around yourself. “He probably just told you my sob story to make you feel bad.”
He exhaled. “Yeah, he told me about your parents, about how things weren’t easy. But he didn’t say it so I’d pity you.” His voice softened. “He said it so I’d understand you.”
You stared at him, lips parting slightly before you shut them again.
“Jeonghan’s known you for years,” Seungcheol continued. “And he made it pretty damn clear that if I wanted to keep you in my life, I had to stop being an idiot and actually see you.”
You swallowed, throat suddenly dry. “And what do you see?”
Seungcheol’s gaze held yours, steady and unyielding. “Someone who pretends not to care because it’s safer. Someone who pushes people away before they get the chance to leave.”
“But also,” he went on, “someone who cares way more than she lets on. Someone who makes it impossible for people to love her less once they’ve gotten to know her.”
Your head snapped back to him. That was Jeonghan’s exact wording.
Seungcheol’s lips twitched. “Yeah, he said that too.”
You huffed, leaning your head against the window. “He talks too much.”
Seungcheol chuckled, but then his voice dropped, quieter now. “Look, I’m not here because of what Jeonghan told me. I’m here because I don’t want to be just another person you expect to leave.”
You didn’t answer right away. Because you didn’t know how. Instead, you just muttered, “You’re annoying,” under your breath.
Seungcheol smirked. “You’ve mentioned.”
The ride was quiet, but not uncomfortable. He didn’t push you to say anything more, and you weren’t ready to give him any more than you already had.
When he pulled up in front of your building, he put the car in park and turned to you. “So what now?”
You shrugged, gripping the door handle. “I don’t know.”
Seungcheol leaned back against his seat, watching you carefully. “Are you gonna keep avoiding me?”
You hesitated, fingers tightening around the handle. “…No.”
That seemed to amuse him. “That didn’t sound very convincing.”
You sighed, turning to face him properly. “I don’t know how to do this, Seungcheol.”
His expression softened. “Then let’s figure it out together.”
You stared at him, searching for something—any sign that this was some kind of game. But all you found was patience, quiet and unwavering.
You exhaled and looked away. “I should go.”
He nodded, but before you could push the door open, he spoke again. “You never answered my question.”
You frowned. “What question?”
Seungcheol tilted his head, as if debating whether to repeat himself. Then, in a voice much softer than before, he said, “What do you want?”
Your breath hitched because wasn’t that the question you’d been running from this whole time?
You forced yourself to meet his gaze, your heart hammering in your chest. “I don’t know,” you admitted, voice barely above a whisper.
Seungcheol studied you for a long moment, then simply nodded. “Okay.”
You blinked. “Okay?”
He smiled slightly. “Okay. You don’t have to know yet.”
You swallowed past the lump in your throat. “That easy, huh?”
His smile grew. “Not everything has to be a fight, you know.”
“Tell that to my brain.”
Seungcheol chuckled. “I’ll work on it.”
You bit your lip, stealing one last glance at him before finally opening the door. “Good night, Seungcheol.”
“Good night,” he said.

hii can you pretty please write a little thing about soft sex w/ ej & hoodie? separately please :3
i am a huge fan of your works & a while ago i sent in something when i was upset about how ej would hug. i loved it and you did a phenomenal job in writing it<3
have a lovely day/night and take care of yourself!!!
much love <3
I remember that! :) I'm glad you liked it! I hope you thoroughly enjoy this as well! Also, I wasn't sure if you meant specifically Hoodie or if you wanted Brian, so I actually did a blend of both <3 I love writing stuff like this, so I hope you enjoy, have a wonderful timezone :)
EJ:
I know I write EJ as a man that likes to fuck and likes to fuck hard, but this man is also a connoisseur of softness and gentleness in all forms in a relationship. I feel like Jack's absolute, all-time favorite form of sex is cuddle sex. He loves cuddling you in general because he constantly seeks out warmth and your body is just oh so warm, so this man is curled around you at practically all hours of the day. What better way to have some warm snuggles than with his cock buried deep inside of you at the same time?? He loves just spooning you from behind and either cock warming with you and just keeping himself in there, or moving in and out of you in slow, languid motions. I actually wrote this for kinktober, but he's also a fan of intercrural sex, where he's just fucking your thighs, and cuddling is the ultimate position to do that in as well. It doesn't really matter what you're doing, so long as he can have you gently cuddled up in his arms, that's all that matters to Jack. He'll trail languid kisses down your neck and shoulders, gently caress your skin with his hands in soothing motions, nuzzle his head into your body as soft hums come out of him, until he's purring in content with his tail swishing back and forth behind him. If he's feeling especially sleepy you'll have to force your way out of his arms to get him to get up and grab a towel to clean the two of you up, because otherwise the sweet boy is just gonna fall asleep right after with you wrapped up in his arms and refuse to let you go. I feel like he'll eventually just start keeping a towel right behind him so he can grab it, clean you up, and fall asleep without having to remove you from his arms. Unless you get him particularly riled up and rough, softness is his default and preferred mode for sex, and it becomes quite easy and common for the two of you to transition from regular cuddles into sex.
Brian/Hoodie:
Sex with Brian is soft by default. This man doesn't have a rough bone in his body, and he does whatever he can to lovingly bring you to your peak every single time you have sex with him. There's no fucking with Brian, just making love. He loves covering you in kisses, gently rocking into your body at whatever pace you'd prefer from him, and always showering you with praise and affection. Smiles and giggles are common when you're having sex with him, and it's a very lighthearted, loving experience. Brian I think also loves cuddle sex, but he prefers it from a position where he can see your face while he's doing it, with you resting in his arms, your bodies pressed against each other while he presses passionate kisses onto your lips. Tangle your fingers into his hair in a position like that and you'll have him turning into a puddle against you in no time. Hoodie, however, is not as familiar with soft sex and is the one with rough bones in his body. Hoodie isn't used to emotions and feeling things, so it's easier for him to be rough when he fucks you instead of soft and loving like Brian, but he does try his best for you. It's cute when he starts trying at first to be gentle with you. He doesn't know where to put his hands, or where to look (as he's too shy in the beginning to look you in the eyes while he's trying to be affectionate with you), and I feel like you'd have to guide him through it. Hoodie's movements are still rougher in general, his hips snapping into yours, his hands gripping a bit tightly, but you can tell he's intentionally treating you softly. Sure, his hips are pounding into you, but his lips are feather soft across your skin, and whenever he gropes at you his eyes flick up to yours to make sure his movements are okay, that you're enjoying yourself, that you want him to keep going just as much as he does. He may be rough, but he wants you to enjoy yourself as much as possible with him.

please a auston matthews x younger reader (like 21) and they are in a kinda private relationship but make an appearance at family skate or something if that makes sense 😓😓
I did some digging and couldn't find anything exactly like a "family skate" that wasn't a charity, so I invented one for the sake of the fic! 🙂↕️🙂↕️ I hope you enjoy~ 🤞🏻 Sorry it took me longer than expected, I really struggled with this, and I apologize. 🥺🥺
C|W: none • W|C: 2.2k
You had felt nervous since waking up, and constantly watching the clock had done nothing to improve the situation. All morning you had danced through countless scenarios of how this day could go, what could possibly go wrong, and everything in between. Your roommate had asked you if you were okay each time she saw you, the same concerned expression on your face.
"Are you sure?"
"What--? Oh, yeah, it's nothing! I have an event later. I'm just worried about...things."
She looked at you curiously, and you regretted what details you had let slip out. "Things?"
Nervously you laughed, like you were trying to play it off as nothing, "Yeah, you know, gotta look good..."
"Right..."
You knew good and well that she didn't believe anything you were saying. She was used to you being quiet and guarded of your private life, but this felt different.
"Are you...in trouble or something?" She pressed, not ready to let it go yet.
Looking at her like a deer in the headlights, you'd actually manage a genuine smile. "No, I'm not in any trouble! I'm just in my own head -- stupid stuff that I'm making too big of a deal over! I'll be fine once I get where I have to be. I promise. Just me...being me."
"Okay...if you're sure," she replied reluctantly. "I just want to help, okay?"
"I understand! Thank you~"
Shortly after the exchange, you'd return to your bedroom and flop facedown on the bed, a tightness growing in the center of your chest. It was panic, and you knew the feeling all too well, but the last thing you wanted was it ruining your day.
*ping, ping*
Blindly, your hand would search for your phone, quickly finding it amongst the blankets. You relaxed slightly once you saw that it was Auston who had messaged.
Matty: You doing okay, baby?
Y|N: Yeah
Matty: :/ What's wrong?
Y|N: I'm just nervous
Matty: About this afternoon?
Y|N: Yeah
Matty: I won't let you fall! ;)
Y}N: It's not that
Matty: It's just the team and their families, baby, they're not going to make a big deal about anything. No cameras if that's what you're worried about
Y|N: Okay
Matty: :/ I wouldn't lie to you
Y|N: I know, I'm sorry
Matty: I'll be by to get you in a little bit, okay?
Y|N: Just text me when you're out front and I'll come out. Sarah is being nosy
Matty: You can't keep me a secret forever ;)
Y|N: I know, today just isn't the day
Matty: I understand, baby. Whenever you feel comfortable.
Y|N: Thank you bb
Matty: Of course. I'll see you soon. I love you <3
YN| <3 I love you, too <3
You'd stay the next two hours in your room; one hour spent on a nap, and the other getting ready for the afternoon's event with Auston. Right on time, your phone dinged with a message from him saying that he was waiting out front. You'd say goodbye to Sarah in a hurry before rushing outside to slip into the passenger side of his car, your skates in a bag over your shoulder.
"Why do I feel like a getaway driver," Auston asked, after seeing you exit your apartment in such haste. His contained laughter resulted in a smirk as he looked at you.
You sighed as you clicked your seatbelt into place, "Hi, baby."
"Hey, mama," he affectionately replied. "Are you sure you're alright?"
"I swear that's the question of the day. Yeah, I'm fine."
Auston's hand came to rest on your leg, and you'd wrap both of yours around it as he merged back into traffic. You knew he was only trying to make sure he wasn't forcing you into today, but you felt like there was a red light going off above your head that signaled that you were "off".
"I promise today will be fun, and if it isn't, well, we'll leave, okay? You just let me know how you're feeling. I promise you, this is just a fun, carefree kind of day, alright?"
You'd give him a nod, before letting your eyes zone out through the passenger side window. He wouldn't press you for conversation until you arrived at the practice arena, but he would give you soft, little squeezes along the way.
Once parked in the parking garage, Auston would confirm one more time if you were still comfortable with everything. He was worried about you; worried that he was pressuring you to join him.
"No, Matty, I'm okay, really. I'm just--"
Pulling you into a kiss, you'd completely melt into his touch, your worries falling away almost instantly. "I just want you to be comfortable."
"Will you stay with me?"
Auston smiled, "I won't leave you alone."
- - -
Inside, the two of you found yourselves amongst a dozen or so of Auston's teammates, their wives and small children. You stayed by his side the entire time, his hand never leaving yours. They were caring on general conversations when you noticed one of the children staring at you. She was cute, but transfixed glaring at you, almost unblinking. At first, you thought she was just looking at Auston, but no-- she had her full attention on you and it seemed no one realized it but you.
Auston was busy talking with Mitch, while you were losing a staring contest with a five-year-old, but eventually, everyone would consent to getting the little team event started. As everyone walked off, however, Auston turned to you, wrapping his arms low around your waist.
"What's wrong?"
"I was getting mean-mugged by a five-year-old..."
Auston tried not to laugh, but his beautiful smile shone through regardless of him honestly trying not to hurt your feelings. "Oh, I saw."
"I've never felt so threatened by a child in my life," you confessed, your hands resting gently on his hips.
"Some weeks ago she told she was going to marry me. You must be competition," Auston said, finally allowing himself laugh. "She was dead-serious about it, too. It made everyone laugh."
You just sighed and laid your head against his chest. "But I loved you first."
His grip tightened, "Gonna take more than a playground proposal to get me away from you."
With your face away from his, you smiled at what he had said -- how cute it had rolled off his tongue and the butterflies it had given you.
"Can you lace my skates for me, please?"
He smiled, "Of course. C'mon, let's get going before they start to tease us."
- - -
Back in the dressing room, children were running wild in a little gang while their parents struggled to contain them. You both slipped in quietly enough, and Auston had you take a seat below his nameplate on the bench while he unlaced your skates.
"I can do that," you reassured, hand outstretched for him to give you your other skate, but he just gave you a smirk instead.
"Alright, Cinderella, give me your foot," he teased. "Let's see if this glass slipper fits."
"I hope it does!"
He was so gentle as he guided your foot into your skate, tying it up tightly. You were in your own little world, just watching him take care of you and with something so simple as lacing laces. Neither of you would notice anyone looking at the two of you having your little intimate moment. Some of the guys knew Auston was seeing someone, but they knew better than anyone, that he was an extremely private person so they didn't press him for juicy details, but seeing him with you made them smile. They loved their captain and wanted him just as happy as the next guy.
"Do you need me to move?"
"Nah, there's room," Auston replied, sitting down right next to you to get his own skates on. "I didn't get those too tight, did I?"
You'd shake your head, pulling your hands into the sleeves of his hoodie you were wearing. "Nope, they feel good, thank you."
"Okay, good," he said, making quick work of his own, giving your leg a quick squeeze when he was done. "Are you warm enough? Kinda wondered if I had left that hoodie in a hotel somewhere."
You laughed, blush flooding your cheeks, "I'll give it back!"
"Nah, it looks good on you. All yours, baby," He whispered before placing a kiss to your temple. "Still remember how to walk in those?"
"I think so -- hope so!"
- - -
Those hallways had felt like miles, but eventually, the two of you made it to the ice and while it was still pretty vacant. It seemed getting skates on children was proving harder than most had anticipated. You were thankful for the quiet though you knew it wasn't going to last for long.
"You want some shooting practice?" Auston asked, half-joking as he tossed a few pucks down on the ice, giving your butt a soft tap with his stick as you slowly skated away from him.
"Hey! Don't do that!"
Though you were laughing, Auston still apologized. "Sorry, babe! You're doing fine; it will come back to you."
"I've forgotten how to turn!" You said before using the boards to stop you. You felt embarrassed that you had forgotten so much, skating opposite Auston no less.
"Bend you knees and lean, babe. Lean your upper body in whichever direction you want to turn."
You'd follow his directions and after the first successful turn, it felt familiar again. You weren't doing punch turns by any means, but at least you didn't need forty feet to turn a semi-circle. Auston would skate up beside you, hand resting on the small of your back just in case you got wobbly.
"You're doing fine, I know it's been a while."
"My legs hurt already," you joked, feeling the sting in your thighs.
"Wanna catch your breath on the bench? I don't want you to get hurt."
At first, you were going to decline his offer, but he had a point. The last thing you wanted was to pull something just because you were trying to keep up with an NHL player. There wasn't any shame in taking a break, you weren't a professional by any means.
"I feel like I've only been out here thirty seconds," you replied, feeling defeated.
"Hey, I've had games where I've done a thirty second shift."
You gave him a look, "You're skating at twenty miles an hour!"
Auston would turn tight in front of you, stopping you against his chest. He had a look on his face that was meant to make you feel okay about needing a minute, but you looked down out of shame. By now, there were more people skating past, paying zero mind to the two of you just standing there. You felt so small against him, the embarrassment making you wish you could melt right through the ice.
"Wait right here, okay?"
After giving him a nod, Auston returned to the bench to leave his stick behind so he could be fully engaged with you. "Give me your hands, mama," he asked, returning to the ice in front of you.
You'd do as he asked, and soon after he was skating backwards, pulling you along gently in tow. It amazed you how he knew how many strides he needed in the corners without looking, how long he could go in the straights before having to turn again. You felt safe with him having a hold of you.
"Want me to let go of you?"
"Going a little fast."
Auston chuckled before slowing his pace. "Better?"
"Maybe, I'm sorry."
"No, no, don't be! I don't want to scare you and make you panic."
After a few more seconds you'd let him know that you were good enough, and slowly your hands would slip out of his. He still remained facing you as you kept pace with him.
"Remember, wide stance, and lean. Ah, see, there you go!"
Your smile transferred to him as he quietly cheered you on before letting you collide with him gently. He'd put his arms around you again, picking you up in a slight spin before making sure you had your footing before letting go. As much as you had been apprehensive about today, you were happy you had gone through with his invitation. Everyone else was off in there own little worlds, chasing children or teaching their wives. Right now, it was just you and Auston.
"I love you, Matty," you said smiling, holding on to him tightly.
"And I love you, baby. Thanks for coming with me."
"I'm glad you talked me into it, but you owe me dinner!"
He laughed, bending to put his forehead against yours, "Wherever you want to go."

oof man I've been loving severance in general but I think that last episode is the first one I have like lots of Thoughts about that I feel like I can at least kind of string together lol. Like I was moderately worried about what direction the Dead Wife thing was going to go in. Because it would have been so easy (and kind of disappointing) for her to just ultimately be an object that exists as a goal/motivator for other characters and not a person (as is common with Dead Wife characters, both literal and not so literal); that's sort of what she's been so far, with just the tease that she could be more. And unless they drop the ball big time (which god I hope they don't), this episode already made it clear: she IS more. Like revealing her to be both physically AND mentally alive at this point in the story is such a good writing choice and feels SO crucial to escaping from some of the really cliché permutations that these kind of basic story arcs/character archetypes can fall into.
I know everyone's been doing the orpheus/eurydice comparisons and now I know people are talking about how mark and gemma are now both actually the orpheus to each other's eurydice, but it's also this: gemma has been split into who knows how many people. She's his eurydice. She's his orpheus. And she's her own orpheus, too. Because she gets herself out of the underworld and then, not remembering she has, she's sent right back down again. And she hesitates and turns around one more time. But she doesn't know. She doesn't even know what she's really looked back at. She doesn't know the world she's sent away. Not until she's back in the underworld, and she's eurydice again.
Also! To interplay him remembering her, give us a classic Dead Wife Sequence- complete even with some of the classic images! The beautiful woman smiling in nature, lying in bed, looking at you, the light warm for the very first time- with the cold, stark reminder that she isn't actually dead, and more than that is still conscious and trying to get out and find him- is SUCH a cool move. Like it totally flips the idea of the Dead Wife Sequence on its head. It's not just grief anymore. It's not just using a lost person as a prop that our hero fights on in memory of. It's the Dead Wife Sequence as horror.
Because she's still the Dead Wife and yet at the same time it dramatically shifts her role in the story, right? Because it turns out everything she is to Mark, he is to her. This unreachable person who you now know isn't dead but who you cannot get to and you cannot know the true present reality of you can only take the word of people you don't totally trust or know. And so, they are dead. But now you know it's only to you. Because we've seen them both now, and we know they're both not just alive, they're fighting.
("she's not dead, she's just not here")
She's not your Dead Wife but you can't help the fact that in your memory, in your mind, she is. So you're the one, in a way, that's killing her. And you're her Dead Husband. "He's moved on" and you know that's a lie but does it really matter until you see him? Until he's real again? Because until then, you're both choking on ghosts.
And the ghosts aren't even really there.
#i am rotating this show around in my brain im actually obsessed like ????#severance#severance apple tv#mark scout#gemma scout#ms casey#random thoughts

back to friends.
angst, suggestive, friends with benefits, unresolved, being drunk, use of y/n wc: 1.7k listen to this song on repeat while reading.
matt walked into the room, stumbling onto your bed, his eyes heavy. you were laying down on your bed, aware of what had happened to him and kept both your doors unlocked for him to come inside without problem.
he let his body fall to the edge of your bed, barely hitting your feet. he grumbled, mumbling incoherent words into your sheets. you leaned up, scratching through his brown locks softly, matt letting out a small sound.
"y'need some water?" you ask softly. he nods, lifting his head up from your blanket, fully allowing you to see his drunk, tired face. "here. drink." you handed him a bottle of water that was on your side table, matt happily accepting it.
the last time matt was actually in your bed was not even 3 nights ago where him and his brothers got into an argument, leading him to come to you, his best friend, sobbing into the pillow.
after finishing the bottle, he tosses it somewhere before crawling up closer to you, clinging to you like a small child. "missed you. shoulda' came."
"you know i don't like those parties. i can't be around all those people, especially ones who are drunk." matt snickered at this. "can't be around me, huh? damn." you slap his arm softly, rolling your eyes.
"not you, y'aren't a alcoholic. you drink sometimes and go overboard at times." matt scoffed. "no i don't. y'just saying that so i'll stop." you get taken aback a bit by matt's sudden defensiveness but dismiss it. "you need to take a shower and sleep, you're being a bitch."
matt sat up on his forearms, his face hard as stone. "i'm not. fuck you." he stood up wobbily, heading to your bathroom, slamming the door in the process. you sigh, pulling out your phone and texting chris.
"matt's over again. wanna pick him up or just let him stay here?"
"fuck im sorry nick's staying over w a friend tn and im staying w a girl, ill pick him up tomorrow morning tho. hope he isn't too much of a hastle :/"
"nah hes good just a bit cranky"
matt walked in again, his shirt off but still remaining in his sweats. it looked like he had washed his face and ran his wet hands through his hair before he slid back into your bed next to you, letting his arm fall over your waist.
"y'texting chris?" he mumbles into your shoulder. you nod, humming. "yeah, just let him know you're here." he scoffs a bit. "like he cares. you guys worry way too fucking much. 'm a 21 year old man. fuck outta here with that "caring" bullshit." he sits up, grumbling.
matt had never really spoken to you this way, or even this loudly ever and you wondered where it all suddenly came from.
"you need to chill, matt." you say while playing with the ends of your hair, your eyes flickering to matt's silent self every few seconds. "shut the fuck up, y/n. you don't know shit. we hooked up, what 2 times? been friends for god knows how fuckin' long and you think you know shit about me. you don't. stop actin' like you my girlfriend." matt snaps, turning his upper body towards you.
"i'm just trying to help out-" "i don't need your fucking help. not you, not chris, not nick, not anyone." matt interrupts. he fully looks back at you, his eyes meeting your eyes for the first time that night, genuinely.
you see his eyes glance down to your lips before his eyebrows furrow a bit as it seems like he's searching every part of your face for something neither of you are quite sure of.
"what?" you ask simply. he meets your eyes again, his tough act growing once again. "nothing." he leans back down onto the bed, turning his body facing the other wall. he scoots himself back a bit subconsciously to let his back touch your arm, even slightly.
he doesn't move, and neither do you as the sounds of your breaths filling the quiet room. "im sorry, y/n. i don't mean to be mean. i just don't feel good." he says softly, after some time. he turns his body to face you, his eyes looking over at your figure that was being illuminated by your lamp on your sidetable.
you look over at him, seeing his low eyes examine your face a bit, before he leans in, kissing your lips softly, searching for anything. you kiss him back a bit before turning your head. "you reek of tequila." you laugh a bit and he rolls away, letting out a breathy laugh also.
"whatever. c'mere." he grabbed your jaw a bit tight, bringing your face back to meet his. you kissed back almost immediately, disregarding the reek. he lets his hand fall to your cheek, rubbing it softly.
after some time, matt pulled away. "remember the first time we kissed? when we were 14?" matt said while kissing your neck, bringing up the memory. "yeah, at summer camp. and we promised not to tell anyone or do it again then we made out in your tent later." you giggled, remembering the memory.
-flashback-
summer of 2017. best friends with the sturniolo triplets who invited you to their camp they've been going to since they were 6. it was lunchtime, and you and matt had picked a table somewhat far away from everyone else, something that became normal for the both of you.
this day, matt had taken a red marker from the arts and crafts station. "can i draw on you? just little hearts." matt said, fiddling with the marker in between his fingers. "yeah, go ahead." you said, taking a sip out of your chocolate milk that was somewhat good.
matt began drawing little red hearts and then coloring the inside of them with a bit more pressure to create a darker color against your skin. "i wanna try something." he whispers before leaning down and kissing each individual heart on your arm with such softness.
the movement caught you by such surprise, leaving your breath hitched in your throat, but you couldn't move your arm away. the feeling of him kissing your body felt so nice.
he leaned back up, with a clear marker stain on his lips. "was that okay?" he muttered, to which you immediately nodded to. "yeah, yeah. y'just got a little stain right there. i'll take it off." you pointed to his lips to which you leaned in, kissing him and him kissing back immediately.
you pulled away after a little bit, seeing that the stain had now been on both your lips, yours and his. he giggled seeing this, before leaning in once again.
-flashback over.-
"good times, i'm telling you y/n." he said before snuggling into your neck, wrapping his arm across your waist, pulling you in tightly. "turn off the light, would you?" he muttered. you nodded, leaning up and flicking the off switch.
the night went on smoothly, soft words and giggles being thrown into the air, eventually leading you two to fall asleep, wrapped up in each other, a lot more close and personal then "best friends" should be.
the sun peeked through your curtains, a low groan being emitted from your throat. you stretched, your knuckles hitting your headboard, causing another groan to be made.
you let your eyes open up a bit and noticed a certain emptiness next to you. you knew matt had come over last night and you two did fall asleep next to one another but did he really leave like that? a decision he's made countless times even after sex, promising he wouldn't do it again?
you leaned over to his side to look for anything of a sign of him. a note, a sock, anything. nothing. nothing was left, and it was almost like he wasn't there. you leaned back over, picking up your phone that was still attached to the charger, the time showing 8:37am.
he hadn't even left a text. he just left like the numerous times he had done before. you pulled up your texts with chris, the last being a text from you last night telling how matt had been "cranky."
"hey has matt left to your house? he js left without a word"
chris responded 3 minutes later.
"he left already? i was supposed to pick him up. lemme check his loc hold up"
"he turned it off lemme ask nick gimme a sec"
"nick said matt turned his location for him off too. all at 4:37am ig"
you checked your messages with matt, and it said the same thing.
"matt has stopped sharing their location with you at 4:37am."
he left 4 hours after he had came? where the fuck did he go?
"hey did u get home safe? left without saying anything lol"
matt responded 13 minutes later.
"ya"
"alr just text me later when ur less hungover"
"k"
throughout the day, matt still hasn't said anything. you had seen a couple clips of him from peoples' stories taking shots, smoking, and making out with random girls.
these stories were all on close friends or private stories of these influencers because if the internet had saw, matt would've been fucked.
seeing matt kiss other girls irked something in you, a feeling you know you shouldn't feel. but you did feel it, whether you liked it or not. matt and you were strictly only friends, a relationship was something the both of you couldn't commit to.
matt was known for being a "loverboy" and "the shy triplet" to the internet, but he was the complete opposite off of the screen. he would fuck you like no other, he would make you cry like no one else had, and he would make you laugh the hardest you ever have.
that's what you loved and hated about matt.
you had learned from before not to talk about your place with matt to him, and learned that he literally couldn't care about "aftercare" or whatever that shit was.
the feelings you felt for him had never changed and you continued to look past the toxic self he put on himself. you continued to see him as the guy you used to love when you were a teenager, and the adult who's back you always had, whenever he needed the support.

Pairing(s): Modern!Liam x Ridoc x Dain x reader
Warning(s): 18+, mdni, smut
Summary: When attending a sorority party with your two roommates, you never imagined anything could go wrong -- but, how could it be so wrong if it felt so right?
SR’s Note: You guys are HUNGRY for these foursomes lmaoooo I love it. This is my first ever story with Dain... oof, let's see how that goes. I did change up a little, making it more of a modern-college-frat-roomie situation, and Y/N is in her sophomore year with Liam and Ridoc (let's pretend, here) while Dain is in his junior year. Other than that, enjoy some more smut involving our favorite men (; This uses prompts #7, #13, #34, #61, and #68! This is long, and took 3 days to write -- but on God, it might be one of my favorites of all time.

"Y/N, I already told you -- I do not want to go to Violet's party-"
"Oh come onnnn," you whined, sporting a pouty face when Liam frowned at you. "She's our friend, and it'll be really fun!"
Your tone isn't convincing enough.
"I just don't want to go through an entire night watching her and Xaden eat eachother alive-"
"Woah!" Ridoc exclaims, waltzing into the kitchen lazily. He scratched at his tousled hair, his eyes still widening from his slumber. "Who's eating who?"
Liam chuckled at your shared roomate, but you only rolled your eyes.
"Violet is throwing another party tonight," you explained, hoping that the mention of your shared friend would pique Ridoc's interest. "She said it's some kind of fundraiser for her sorority-"
"Ooh, yeah. Uh. I'm out." Ridoc holds up both hands in surrender, and you huff.
"What is it with you two and not wanting to go tonight?" You frown, crossing your arms over your chest. "It's a party, for Christ's sakes -- I figured you of all people wouldn't want to miss that," you accuse, your eyes slicing to Ridoc.
"And you," you continue, zeroing in on Liam. "... wouldn't miss the chance to see your best friend. Isn't it obvious that Xaden will be there?"
Liam shrugs, his eyebrows raising as if he's considering the invitation.
"Yeah, he'll be there -- those two are connected at the hip," Ridoc starts.
"They're connected in more places than just that-"
"Ew!" You shout, covering your face with your hands. "Liam, that's disgusting."
Him and Ridoc howl in laughter as you work to get the mental image of your friend and her boyfriend being... well, connected.
"Anyways," Ridoc says, working to control his breathing. "What I was saying was that if Xaden is there, so is the rest of his frat." He shrugs as though he'd made up his mind.
"And, what's the problem with that?" You ask, brow raised. Before Ridoc can respond, Liam answers for him.
"You know those guys, Y/N -- the short one that tries to be everybody's friend... well, he's okay I guess."
"Sawyer?"
Liam nods. "Yeah, hes fine -- but the other ones, I mean... Bodhi, that freshman Aaric," he grimaces. "Their new VP? What's his name?"
"Dain." Ridoc says flatly, and Liam snaps his fingers before pointing at him.
"Right! Yeah, him." You huff a short laugh.
"I've never even met the guy before, what could be so-"
"Everything, Y/N." Ridoc responds lowly. "Everything, is so wrong with the guy."
You roll your eyes for what felt like the millionth time this evening.
"He isn't just the VP for their frat, ya know." Liam continues, and you slide your gaze to him. "He's the top of their class, apparently he's being considered for the class president role-"
"Okay, how do I not even know who we're talking about?" You ask.
Ridoc holds a flat hand just above his head. "About, this tall? Brown hair, tan-ish guy... I'm sure you've seen him around," he explains. You rack your brain, trying to think of anyone you'd seen on campus with that description. No one was coming to mind, which was concerning since you were sure you'd know someone just a year older than you with that kind of title.
"I don't know," you give up, and Ridoc drops his hand. "I thought their class president title was given to Imogen, anyway?"
Liam shakes his head.
"Nah, they wanted that asshole over her I guess." Ridoc remarks.
You frown. "What is it with this guy that you guys dislike so much?"
They both start talking at once.
Overbearing.
Controlling.
Know-it-all.
Entitled.
Douchey.
"Alright, alright -- I got it," you hold your hands up. "So what, this one person you don't like will be there, big deal."
"Big deal?" Ridoc's voice pitches. "This guy was the one responsible for Halloween last year -- and you remember how long it took us to clean all that up."
Your mind flashed to the memory. Your two roomates didn't live in a house with their fraternity, in fact, they didn't even really have one. Nonetheless, the Halloween prank war between all the fraternities didn't quite go in their favor last year...
...let's just say, they spent more time in the bathroom than you did for the following month. And your shower smelt heavily of eggs and fish.
"Waa waa, so what." You shrugged, and they both looked at you incredulously. "Is it so hard to ignore him? You both know we should be there to support Vi," you try reasoning with them. Liam sighs, running a hand over his face before looking at you solemnly.
"This is her first fundraiser, and she really wants us there."
Ridoc huffs, scratching his post-nap hair again.
"You know Jesinia will be there..." you tease quietly, and Liam's eyebrows raise.
"I'm in," he says immediately, and Ridoc scoffs.
"Dude -- you won't even talk to her until you're two beers in," he says, and Liam rolls his eyes.
"So? It is a party, won't they have-"
"No dude -- it's a fundraiser," Ridoc says slowly. "They won't provide any alcohol, since they're hosting. Sorority rules." He shrugs, and Liam groans.
"Okay -- just hear me out," you say, walking toward the fridge. You open it silently, and gesture to the half-empty boxes of various alcoholic beverages inside. Ridoc shakes his head, and Liam seems to weigh his options.
You stare pleadingly at the pair before Ridoc speaks again.
"Fine. We'll go. Only on one condition. We get plastered first."
* ✧・゚: *
You stumbled out the front door, following after your friends as you headed for the sidewalk. Liam said something ahead of you, and Ridoc let out a rediculous laugh.
"W-what... are you guys talking about?" You grinned, and Liam looked over his shoulder at you.
Ridoc let out another chuckle, and the two of them glanced at eachother.
"Nothing, nothing." He mumbled, and you rolled your eyes.
"You know, if Rhi were here, she'd torture the answer out of the both of you." Rhiannon, your third roomate, who was conveniently out of town this weekend visiting her family.
"Good thing she isn't," Ridoc says, tossing an arm around your shoulders. "You're stuck with us this weekend."
You look sidelong at him, giggling at the pink staining his cheeks. He'd chugged three Nutrls before you left, and Liam was in fact already twp beers in -- he shouldn't have any problem talking to his crush.
"Damn! She really decked the place out!"
Ridoc's voice faded as the three of you stalked closer to the soririty house, the music blasting through the wide-open front door. People loitered in the front lawn, enjoying their filled solo-cups while enjoying the nice weather and setting sun.
"Hey, I thought you said no alcohol?"
Ridoc shrugged at Liam's question as you crossed the street, making your way up the stone steps to the front door.
"Maybe it's soda."
A girl to your right laughed loudly, tripping over her own feet as she worked to regain her balance -- using the arm of male next to her, of course. Liam turned sharply, chuckling at his friend's incinuation.
"I can guarantee you... it isn't water, in those cups."
Once crossing through the doorway, you look around in amazement. Purple streamers, multicolored balloons, and silver glitter adorned the high ceilings and grand staircase of the sorority house. It looked like Elle Woods just threw up on the damned place -- if Elle Woods didn't wear pink, anyway.
"Guys!" You heard the familiar shriek of excitement, and you turned to see Violet bounding over to the three of you. She threw her arms around you, and you embraced her right back.
"I'm so glad you could make it!" She looks to Liam, giving him a warm smile.
"Wouldn't miss it," Ridoc says sarcastically, and you elbow him in the ribs. Violet didn't seem to catch his tone.
"So -- what do ya think?" She asks, gesturing to the decorations and the people mingling under them. Liam nods, his eyes peering through the crowd surely in search of the brunette he fancied.
"It's... it's so cute, Vi. You did great," you muster, the effects of the single White Claw lightly clouding your brain. She looks to you again, her eyes wide.
"Can you tell what the theme is?" She asks, and you look around quickly. With all the random decorations, the mix of colors... you spot a blown up plastic snake in the corner, that looked similar to a pool floatie. Shake It Off blaring over the speakers didn't really help your mental state, either.
"Uhh... Taylor Swift?" You guessed. She laughed, tossing her head back.
"No! Silly," she mused, her words dripping with the effects of a drink or two herself. "It's Greek Mythology -- you know, because sororities are, greek?" She shrugs, and you paste on a knowing expression.
"Right! Right, I totally see it now." You didn't see it at all.
She pointed to the snake balloon. "See, this one is like that one goddess with the snake hair, and," she takes ahold of your arm, guiding you further into the foyer. You toss Ridoc an apologetic look, but he only chuckles at your predicament.
"...and I did purple for like, Atremis, ya know... oh, and the silver glitter for like, magic or whatever." You nod as though you understood her reasoning. Was she intoxicated when she came up with this plan?
She lead you into the kitchen, where you were greeted by more familiar faces. She eventually dropped her arm, rushing over to the back door as her boyfriend waltzed in, his posse behind him.
"Babe!" She squealed, running to him and pressing a kiss to his lips. You continued your conversation with Cat, another one of Violet's sorority sisters -- but your attention began to waver as each member of Xaden's frat followed through the door behind him.
Bodhi, of course, walked in and had girls flocking him immediately -- his polite smile and kind eyes were vaguely similar to his cousin's. Aaric, the freshman, followed after; he looked sky, but cute nonetheless.
And then... holy shit.
It may have been the most beautiful man you'd ever seen.
"Yeah, so anyways -- Vi wants me at the booth out back, I'll catch ya later?"
You shake your head, trying to refocus on Cat as she left the kitchen island.
"Yeah... I'll... see ya..."
Fuck.
His toned arms were sun-kissed beneath the thin material of his tank, the clean white of the material only enhancing the contrast between skin and clothing. His hair looked so soft, swooping to the side and revealing his deep brown eyes--
"Might want to close your mouth, Y/N; you'll catch a fly."
You glare over your shoulder, Ridoc's body approaching behind you. You heard his mocking tone before you saw him, walking over with two pink cups in his hands.
"I wasn't..." you start to protest, and he reaches around you to put one in your hand. You swish the liquid around, discerning what he'd just handed you. Water.
"Oh for the love of God -- do not tell me you were seriously checking out--"
You ushed back against him, craning your neck as you held the back of your hand to his lips.
"Shh!"
He leaned in, taking your hand in his as he moved your arm back down to your side. His lips tickled as he spoke softly against your ear, his voice low.
"...Dain, Aetos."
You huffed, lifting the cup to your lips as Ridoc moved behind you, opting to sit on a clear space of countertop as he looked to you quizzically. You took a large gulp, the refreshing feeling a welcome one as opposed to the burn of the alcohol you'd consumed earlier.
"So?" You shrugged, and Ridoc shook his head slowly. "So what if I was?"
He chuckled, pincing the bridge of his nose.
"Just know, I wish you all the luck, Y/N." He says, his tone resigned. You roll your eyes, walking over to stand between his knees. He stares down at you, raising a single eyebrow.
"I don't need, your luck, Ridoc," you say, and his thumb and forefinger lightly grip your chin.
"You don't need, that," he says the word as though its poisonous, glancing toward Dain again. Your eyes follow, watching as he greets a few girls on his way through.
You look back up at your dark-haired friend, your eyes catching on a few strands that fall across his forehead.
"You have no idea, what I need."
* ✧・゚: *
It'd been a pathetic hour that you roamed the house, talking with friends as you searched for Liam. The sun was dipping below the horizon, casting a orangey glow throughout the mansion. You dodged person after person, scanning for a certain face you were sure you wouldn't forget.
Did you want to run into him? Oh, yes. But what would you even say?
The thought made your stomach churn.
A stranger to your right brushed past you, uttering a giggly apology as htey continued on their way. Many of the partygoers seemed... more than happy, at that. Where were these people getting the goods?
"In the back!" Violet's voice rang through the hallway, her sing-songy tone ushering people outside. "The booth is in the backyard -- only a dollar!" She called, her face coming into view as more people filed through the kitchen and out into the sun.
She grasped her arm when she found you, her eyes glazed. Her brow furrowed as she looked down at your cup, noticing the emptiness of it.
"You don't look like you're having enough fun," she comments, and you shrug.
"It's a great fundraiser, Vi," you assure her, and she chuckles.
"Wanna drink?"
Now it's your turn to frown in confusion.
"I thought you weren't allowed-"
"We're not," she cuts you off. "But Xaden's frat brought a bunch of coolers -- they're in the back," she shrugs, and your face falls. This entire time, you could've been enjoying yourself more, and didn't know it?
She pats your arm once, then rushes off, ushering more people to the backyard. You round the corner and find Liam in the study, his unmistakable blonde hair glinting with the setting sun. Beside him stood Jesinia, smiling politely at something he was saying.
You didn't want to intrude, but... the girl looked like she might be grateful for it.
"Where the Hell did you get that?" You asked, looking at the Coors Light bottle in Liam's hand. He looked to you, a flash of annoyance and... something else crossing over his face before he answered.
Jesinia beat him to the punch, pointing at the door through the kitchen toward the backyard.
"Xaden and his bros brought them in," he said with a chuckle, glancing down at the poor girl when she didn't laugh with him. You swore, his dorkiness could only go so far -- and this, this was proof.
"Right," you said slowly, glancing over your shoulder and doing a double take when you watched a familiar white tank top saunter through the open door. Liam laughed, lightly shoving your shoulder.
"Hmmm, I see she's taken a liking to Dain Aetos," he dawls, and you glare at him. Jesinia only shrugs, chuckling as you smile knowingly at her.
The three of you are interrupted as a strawberry blonde approaches, leaning into the doorframe as he stares directly at Jesinia.
"Hey, Jes -- play flip cup with me?" He asks, and her cheeks pinken at his request. Nonetheless, she gives Liam a polite nod before joining the new male, leaving the two of you in the study.
Liam tips his bottle back as he watches her walk away, the guy's hand resting on her lower back.
You glance up at him, and he only shakes his head lowly.
"Fucking Sawyer," he grumbles. "Maybe I don't like the guy much."
You place a comforting hand on his upper back, rubbing back in forth comfortingly. His back muscles flex beneath the thin fabric of his black tee, and he looses a long breath.
"Come onnnn; let's go get you a drink."
* ✧・゚: *
You'd managed to snag and finish two more drinks before Ridoc caught up with you again -- all the while, avoiding Dain.
"Make a move on your new little crush yet?" Ridoc taunts, and you smack his shoulder.
"No," you say assertively, and he grins down at you.
"She's being a chicken." Liam says, glancing around the full yard over the rim of his cup. You glower at him.
"I am not -- I just... would rather have better conditions to meet him for the first time." Your cheeks flush. A cropped graphic tee and jean shorts didn't exactly scream "fuck me, please"!
Ridoc snorts. "Like, what, in a wedding dress?"
Liam laughs, Ridoc following right along. You roll your eyes in annoyance.
"Why don't you guys leave me alone? Go figure out what those tables are for or something." Their eyes catch on the long white pop-up tables, adorned with a pie at every folding chair. Liam shrugs, tossing his can in a nearby bin before heading that way.
You thank God when Ridoc follows.
"Y/N!"
You hear Imogen's voice over the crowd, and your eyes search for her bright pink hair. When you find it, you start making your way toward her -- next to the kissing booth.
"Listen, Gen, I understand why, but, I'm straight."
She laughs, leaning against the wooden frame that Cat sits behind. She looks miserable, biting on the edge of her solo cup as she sits there.
"No no, not for me," Imogen assures, gesturing to Cat. "My friend here hasn't peed in two hours, andddd since I can't find the other girls, I was hoping maybe you could cover?"
Your brows shoot up, and Cat widens her eyes.
"Please, Y/N -- just for a minute, I really gotta go," she pleads. You look around the backyard, searching from person to person.
You try to ignore the way Dain's muscles flex when he tosses a beanbag.
"Why can't Sloane do it?" You point to the freshman, standing shyly near the entryway to the kitchen.
"Because freshman aren't allowed to run the booths," Imogen says sternly. The idea of sitting here, waiting for some gross guy to come up and pay for a kiss? Gross.
You glance to her again. "Why not Vi?"
Imogen snorts. "Really? You think Xaden Riorson is letting any other man put his mouth on her?"
You shrug in agreement. "Why not you, then?"
She levels a hard stare at you. "I've already done my time with fundraiser booths. No thanks."
You huff. "I'm not even in this sorority-"
"Pleeease," Cat begs, her eyes as round as saucers. "It's just a few minutes, and I've barely had anyone all night." She assures, and you groan in defeat.
"Ughhh, fine." She excitedly slips from behind the booth, and you shuffle to take her spot. She scurries toward the house, and Imogen slaps a hand on the wooden frame once.
"It'll be fine," she reassures. "I think Cat's only made like, five bucks all night."
You sigh, glancing out at the lively scene around you. You spot Ridoc in his red jacket, talking with a redhead near the pie table. Liam is near the cooler again, rummaging through for surely another beer.
"Are you open?"
Your gaze fixes on the male before you, and your breath catches in your throat.
You open your mouth to answer, but it just hangs open. No sound comes out.
"It's... one dollar right?" Dain asks, sitting on the short stool on the other side of the booth. You force your mouth closed -- don't want to catch a fly, right? -- and nod, swallowing hard.
Dain nods once, a light smile playing on his lips as he tears his gaze from yours and moves to take out his wallet. He rifles through it, his long fingers filing between receipts, cards...
Ugh, his hands.
"Shoot, well, I only have a five," he says, his gaze finding yours again. He pulls it free handing it to you. You take it, glancing at the money jar behind the counter to find only a couple of bucks.
"I-I don't have, change," you stutter, and he chuckles.
"Guess I'll just have to redeem all five then — your boyfriend isn’t mad that you’re doing this?”
Your brows knit, and fully furrow when Dain motions to Ridoc.
“He’s absolutely not my boyfriend.” You scoff.
Dain grins.
“Good.”
He leans in immediately, pressing his lips to yours. You don't have time to react as his mouth moves against yours, the kiss feeling like five minutes and only thirty seconds at the same time. When he pulls back, he smiles at you -- his teeth impossibly white.
You blush as he pushes a hair out of your face, tucking it behind your ear.
"Four more to go."
You nod, a dorkish grin spreading across your face as he stands. He licks his bottom lip, waving to someone behind him as they call him over. He leans in one more time, speaking while staring you right in the eyes.
"But, we have all night."
With that, he grins and walks off, leaving you flustered and hot and ... everything, all at once. Your chest heaves, the weight of what just happened settling in.
You look across the yard, realizing everyone also just saw that happen.
But, no matter where you look, you only find one pair of deep brown eyes glaring back at you.

"Pie time!"
Violet annouces with a clap of her hands, and the crowd gathers before the tables as men from Xaden's frat take their seats.
"I mean, I'm glad you like someone but... him?" Ridoc chastizes, shaking his head as the two of you join the herd.
You scoff. "Ridoc, what is this obsession over Dain Aetos? I mean, really." You ask, and he takes a long swig from his can.
"The guy is just an ass, and thinks he's better than everyone. At everything."
"One more spot!" Xaden calls, motioning to the chair before him. "Somebody come claim it! Only five bucks!"
"And that bothers you...?" You continue, watching as Ridoc's face shifts into a mask of cool calm.
"It bothers me because he isn't better. At anything." He hands you his canister, breaking through the crowd as he makes way for the table. He holds up a $5 bill.
"Ridoc! What are you-"
"I'll take it," he annouces, reveling in a the cheers sounding around him. You shake your head, watching as Xaden takes his cash and then ties his hands behind his back. He smiles cheekily at you, and the male sitting next to him follows his line of sight.
That's when Dain Aetos' eyes meet yours once more.
"3...2...1... go!"
The thoughts that filled your mind were... unholy.
Your eyes were glued to Dain, watching as his face devoured the pie before him. His tongue, stained by the red berries inside, swooped out and into the pie as he feasted on it, licking around the indention he'd made with his teeth.
Gods, his lips had tasted good. Better yet, he still had four more this evening to go.
In your hazy, lust-stricken gaze, you found yourself almost distracted, your eyes catching on the dark head of hair next to the handsome male.
Your mouth watered more, despite your inner protests.
Ridoc was your friend, one of the best at that -- however, your mind began to race watching him nise-deep in the pie tin. The obscene sounds of slurping and sucking didn't help either.
Mental images raced through your head, each one sending more and more flurries through your lower stomach.
Ridoc's lips on yours.
The feeling of Dain's hands on your body while you kissed.
Ridoc over top of you, kissing over your neck and chest.
Dain pulling down your soaking panties.
Ridoc sliding his rough fingers into your wet cunt.
Dain's tongue on your clit as he ate you out.
Ridoc's forearm across your waist, holding you down as you cried out for him-
"Y/N!"
You snapped out of your daze, realizing how far you'd gone into it. Your best friend appeared before you, his shit-eating grin telling you all you needed to know.
"I won, Y/N! I told ya I could," he smirks, his mouth stained a deep pink. You chuckle, watchign as he wiped his lips across the sleeve of his sweatshirt.
"Proud of you," you tease, and he slings an arm over your shoulders. His scent of freshwater and sage wafted in -- you'd never pondered how good he smelled.
"Let's get you another drink, to celebrate."

You were happy to blame the alcohol for the situation you were in.
Somehow, Violet had convinced you to join the large group game called Medusa -- one you'd never played before. However, all the singles were urged to play and had to pay $1 for what Violet was selling as "the luckiest 10 rounds of your life".
You weren't too sure of that.
The game was simple; every one closed their eyes, and when Violet shouted Medusa, you opened them and looked at another person in the circle. If you locked eyes, you had to kiss -- if the person was not looking at you and instead looking at someone else, you simply waited for the next round.
"Okay everyone, eyes closed!"
Violet of course, wouldn't be participating.
"Medusa!"
You warily opened your eyes, your gaze locking on Imogen. She was looking elsewhere, and somehow, no one locked eyes this round.
"Ooh, okay," Violet mused. "9 rounds left. Eyes closed!"
You obeyed, waiting for her call. Ridoc squirmed beside you, and you huffed in irritation.
Irritation for his movements, and potentially because a certain third year was not participating also.
"Medusa!"
You'd gone three more rounds after that, and by round five someone finally made eye contact with another person. In round eight, Cat and Aaric looked at eachother before he leaned in, pressing his lips to her quickly.
"One I didn't have to pay you for," he smirked, and Cat shoved his shoulder.
"Hush it, freshman."
The next round, your eyes found Liam -- he of course, was not looking at you. You followed his line of sight, straight to Jesinia of course.
But, she was looking at Sawyer.
And he, was looking at her.
The redhead smiled, leaning in and kissing the brunette as though he'd done so a million times. Liam's gaze grew cold, his brows furrowing as he gripped his beer tighter. You wished you could do something, make him feel better some how-
"Eyes closed! Last round!"
You closed your eyes, Ridoc sucking in a breath as he took in his friend's angered expression.
"Medusa!"
You felt Ridoc's eyes on you, burning into the side of your head -- however, your gaze was locked squarely on Liam.
And his, hard and vengeful, was looking right back at you.
Violet gasped, but Liam didn't say a word. In fact, he made a show of standing and walking over to you, not even daring to look sidelong at his crush.
When he was within mere inches of your face, he kneeled, pressing his torso between your parted thighs as you sat helplessly on the plastic folding chair.
"Liam, you don't have to-"
His lips crush yours in an instant, his mouth moving furiously with yours. The taste of his drink felt good on your mouth, even better when he slid his tongue past the seam of your lips. You nearly groaned when his hands found your cheeks, cupping your face with his caring touch so at odds with the way he was practically devouring you-
"Alright, alright. Damn."
Liam pulled away, his darkened blue irises peering up at you from the floor. You grinned, enjoying the view of his handsome face as well as the lingering feel of his mouth on yours. He chuckled, his hands falling from their position as Ridoc continued his brooding beside you.
"He didn't have to," Violet teased. "But, I think he wanted to." She giggled.
Yeah, you'd definately be blaming the alcohol tonight.

10:07.
How was it already 10 o'clock at night?
You tipped back your cup, welcoming the water into your system once more. You were listening to Sloane, another freshman, drone on about her classes this semester as you worked to regain some sort of control over your body and mind.
The reminders of the last game you'd played though -- you couldn't surpress those.
It was wrong, thinking of your long time friend and roomate in such a way. Never had you been attracted to that blonde head before, but... tonight...
Shit.
"Hey, I'm gonna go grab another box of the Coors!"
Your head snapped in the direction of the voice, watching as the third year made his way toward the front door. You felt bad, abandoning Sloane this way, however... you wanted to follow him. You wanted to, but didn't at the same time.
You cut the blonde freshman off with a quick, drunken hug.
"Hey, I'll be right back, I'm so sorry-"
She shook her head, smiling at you.
"Go! Go, I'll catch up with you later."
You gave her a hazy smile before walking (as straight and fast as possible) up to and out of the front door, your eyes scanning the front lawn for that white tank.
Sure enough, there he was -- braced against the side of a huge black truck, reaching into the bed in search of more alcohol.
Bingo.
You walked over, coughing once and working to mask your face in cool indifference.
"Use some help?"
He turned at the sound of your voice, a smile instantly curling his lips.
"From a pretty girl like you?" He hopped off the back, abandoning the beer on the grass as he looked to you. "Anytime."
Your cheeks flushed at his words, and he leaned against the side of the Ram.
"Do you have more you need me to-"
"Nah," he said, inching closer to you. His arms crossed over his chest, and you stared up into his deep brown eyes.
"I'd rather just take a minute and... talk,"
You arched a brow, offering to answer whatever he wanted to inquire about. It felt so natural, your conversation coming so easy with him -- that was, until Bodhi appeared in the front door and called to him.
"Dain! Beer? C'mon man," he shouted, and Dain waved him off.
"Guess I should probably take this back inside," he chuckled, leaning to reach for the heavy box. You absentmindedly reached for his arm, your hand bracing against his bicep.
He looked up, your pleading eyes on his face.
"Wait," you said, and he straightened. A small smirk tugged the corner of his lips up, and he stepped closer to you. So close, your chests touched.
"Hm?" He asked, his right hand slowly finding its way to your waist.
"I... uh," you stuttered. "You have four more left to-"
He pulled your waist to his, cutting you off with a kiss to your lips. Your breath hitched, drinking in every inch of his toned body pressed against yours. Both hands now rested on your hips, and your arms tangled around his neck to pull his mouth to yours. He broke away only for a moment, smiling down at you.
"Three."
He kissed you again, harder this time. His lips slid across yours, the sweet taste of whiskey rolling off his mouth and onto yours.
"Two."
You whimpered, parting your lips as his tongue dove into your mouth. He squeezed the exposed skin of your waist, groaning into your mouth as his hardening length made its presence known as it pressed against you.
"One."
He whispered the last word, not going in for more this time. You sighed, looking up at him.
"C'mon," you pleaded. "You still have one left-"
"I'm saving it," he said, pressing a lingering kiss to your cheek. "I want to use it later."
He said it with such sincerity, the soft gaze sweeping over your face that you wished it were later already.
Oh God...
Your pussy clenched at the thought.
"I don't know how we've never met before," he started, shaking his head at you. "You're... not like, anyone I know."
You blushed again, your bottom lip pulling between your teeth.
"Well, I am a sophomore-"
His hands were off of your hips, sliding slowly down as his face fell.
"Wait -- what?"
"Your brow furrowed in confusion.
"What?" You asked. "Is that, an issue?"
He huffed a short sarcastic laugh.
"Uh, yeah," he said, staring at you as he backed up a step. "I'm... I mean, I'm the head of my class, and with the frat -- you know we're not allowed to get involved with girls outside our year."
You rolled your eyes.
"That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard."
He picked up the box, heaving it onto his shoulder.
"Maybe, but it's the rules."
He started toward the house, and you followed behind -- your steps shaky with the aftereffects of the alcohol. Your head swam, thinking of any way that this situation could be worked around.
"Then why do Xaden and Violet get to be together?"
He sighed, slowing to walk beside you again.
"Because, he's the head of our frat. He doesn't have to follow the rules." He shrugged. "And, quite frankly, as his second in command, I'm more in charge of keeping freshman and sophomores in line anyways."
Your brow furrowed as you approached the front door.
"If you're the VP, why do you have to-"
"Because it's the rules, Y/N."
He walked inside, the light from the mansion bending around his tall frame. Anger welled inside of you -- what a stupid regulation they had. What did it matter to anyone that he was involved with someone only a year younger?
No matter the frustration, your heart still skipped a beat as you though of his touch once more.
* ✧・゚: *
Your mind was a blur as you waded through the crowd in search of your roomates. You thought you spotted Liam, but realized it likely wasn't him. He was probably off brooding somewhere, you were sure. After all, you had passed Jesinia and Sawyer in the study, their mouths in a tango.
God, he was probably pissed.
Finally, Ridoc's familiar red jacket came into view across the yard as he stood talking with a few guys before a bonfire. You reached a hand up, preparing to wave him over.
"Ridoc! Hey-"
Your call was cut off by a gasp. Cold, fermented liquid doused the front of your shirt -- and a freshman girl stood before you in shock.
"Oh my God!" She squeaked. "I'm so sorry, I-"
You held up a hand, your lips pressed into a tight line.
"It's fine." You said, your words short and temper even shorter. Partygoers around you stopped to gawk, staring straight at your chest as the pink liquid soaked through the white fabric. You turned on your heel, embarassment creeping its way up your neck and across your cheeks as you stomped toward the house once more.
You'd ignored the sound of your name behind you, not even stopping to look as you angrily bounded up the stairs and made way for the upstairs bathroom.
The exhaustion of the night weighed heavily on you, and you really just felt like going home at this point -- but door after door, you grew increasingly frustrated as the bathroom was not where you remembered it to be from last time.
You groaned, angry tears pricking your eyes as a couple of seniors walked out of an empty bedroom, glancing pitifully at the front of your favorite tee. You turned around in frustration, the never-ending hallway not yeilding any sort of washroom.
Just then, an iron-grip closed around your arm and yanked you into the vacant bedroom.
* ✧・゚: *
"Here," Ridoc said kindly, pulling you through the door and guiding you to sit on the bed. You obeyed, sitting on the plush mattress and glancing around the rather bare sleeping quarters. He moved before you, unzipping his jacket.
"How did you know this was vancant?" You asked, and he slid the material over his shoulders. His tan skin poked out beneath his own gray t-shirt, the arm holes straining around his biceps.
You tried not to stare.
He chuckled, his fingers hooking under the hem.
"Let's just say... I've been in here before," he winked, lifting his arms over his head and taking his shirt with them.
Holy fuck.
His abs flexed, the tattoos along his left side swirling over his hardened muscle. He sighed as he pulled the shirt completely off, balling it in his hand and extending it to you.
"Here," he said softly, his expression full of concern and ... something else. You silently took it from him, and he breathed deep before settling on his knees between your legs.
Just like Liam had.
No, you scolded yourself. Stop that.
You sat silently, staring down at the floor as he inched closer. His fingers reached for the edge of your own ruined shirt, his eyes asking permission before you nodded.
Yes. Please.
He slowly lifted your shirt, gently pulling it over your head as he sucked in a harsh breath. Goosebumps erupted over your skin, the cool night air coming in from the open window mixed with the way his eyes roved over your exposed top.
Your nipples hardened beneath your lacy bra.
His face inched closer to yours, his right hand pushing your hair behind your ear.
"Can I kiss you right now?"
His question came out strained, his voice gravelly as though he was holding back. Your eyes met his, ablaze with a fiery lust you'd never quite seen before.
You answered wordlessly again, your bottom lip pulling between your teeth as you nodded your reply.
Yes.
He pressed his lips against yours, the touch so gentle and at odds with his usually overecstatic, joyous attitude.
Neither of you moved, his lips stayed on yours and yours stayed on his. You reveled in the feeling, replaying every time you'd thought about this very inappropriate, very sinful thing.
Every time he left the bathroom in nothing but a towel.
Every time he came home late, spending the evening with yet another female.
Every time he cooked breakfast shirtless.
Your panties grew wetter.
He breathed in deep, pressing up onto his knees to kiss you deeper. You leaned back slightly as his hands found the small of your back, pulling you into him as he finally continued the kiss. His soft lips glided on top of yours, the remaining taste of the sweet pie on his mouth a warm welcome.
Just when he swiped his tongue over your lower lip, asking for entrance did you pull back. Your eyes were wild when they met his.
"Ridoc... we can't, this... this is so wrong."
A look of defeat flashed in his eyes before being quickly replaced with something else. His hands caressed your skin, rubbing small circles on your back as he hovered closely to you.
"It doesn't feel wrong to me," he admits, his voice low.
You sigh, your hands draped over his shoulders.
"Tomorrow will be one Hell of a morning-after," you suggest, and he grins.
"I don't care. I'd take a million hellish morning-after's just to do this."
When his lips found yours again, it wasn't soft. It wasn't nice.
It was hungry.
Your hands tangled in his hair, and he groaned when you tugged lightly on it. Your hips moved along the edge of the bed, the growing ache in your lower belly near unbearable as his mouth continued to assault yours.
He seemed to take the hint, one hand moving from your back to press against the fabric of your jean shorts. He rubbed back and forth, his strong fingers pressing into your most sensitive spot.
You didn't care that the window was open. You didn't care that the door was unlocked. You moaned loud, the feeling sending what felt like champagne bubbles right up to your brain.
"Ridoc," you panted, grinding your hips into his touch. "More."
That's all it took.
He pushed you back onto the bed, laying you flat across the plush duvet as he rose, unbuttoning his jeans and kicking them off along with his shoes. He worked on you next, unzipping your shorts and then hooking his fingers through your beltloops, removing the garment in less than a minute.
"Please," you begged, and he chuckled darkly at you.
"Don't beg," he teased, settling on his knees once more. His breath was warm against your thighs, but his touch was cold as he placed a small kiss to the inside of your left one. "Not yet."
Your mind flashed back to the pie contest, his face smeared with the berry filling, the sounds he made as he ate--
None of that, compared to this.
"Oh my God," you squeaked, your hand finding a fistful of his hair as he licked up your folds. His tongue worked, swirling mercilessly through your folds as you clenched around nothing. You sucked in breath after breath, your head falling back in pleasure as he continued eating you out. The way his lips roved and sucked, his nose nudging your clit with the movement; fuck, it was electrifying.
Your gaze lifted as you heard the doorknob turning, a jolt of fear running through you. Ridoc only paused a moment, looking over his shoulder as the door opened slightly. Your eyes met the wide blue ones you were so familiar with, and his jaw dropped.
"What the fuck-" he muttered, unable to tear his gaze away from your body. He unashamedly looked you over, not moving into or out of the room.
"Liam, please-"
You were cut off with a whine as Ridoc shoved his forefinger and middle inside of you, your face contorting in pleasure. He smirked, looking at his friend once more.
"Ahhh, come on man -- you know you don't want to go back downstairs."
Liam watched, looking almost horrified as Ridoc continued fingering you. The small squeaks coming from you must have propelled him inside, as he quickly crossed the entrance and shut the door. He sat down his glass on the nightstand, his eyes taking in the scene before him.
Ridoc set a punishing pace, curling his fingers inside of you every time he pulled out and re-inserted them.
"Oh God," you whined, and Liam quietly walked around the other side of the bed. He sat behind you, awkwardly for a moment, just watching. Your fingers found your nipples, pinching hard as you toyed with your boobs in front of the two men.
"Seems like you have a little problem," Ridoc taunted, and you arched off the bed a bit. Your gaze foudn Liam sitting behind you, upside down, yes, but you didn't miss the tent in his pants.
No going back now.
"Liam," you whined, feeling your impending orgasm nearing its peak. "I want to cum."
He sucked in a short breath, leaning over on the bed and pressing his lips to yours once. You moaned into the kiss, queaking as his large hands found your breasts and squeezed.
His voice was a mere growl as it found your ear.
“Let me help you with that.”
"Oh fuck!" You chanted, the feeling of Ridoc fingering you and now lapping at your clit almost too much -- especially with the way Liam pinched and rolled his thumbs over your hardened peaks.
"Fuck, fuck, I'm cumming-"
You unleashed your orgasm with a sigh, your quivering hole clenching around Ridoc's digits over, and over, and over again. Your abdominal muscles flexed and unflexed, the feeling of Liam's hands cupping your boobs made you want more.
Before you could think too long about it, Liam was sliding off the bed behind you, his gentle hands guiding you to lie flat on your back. You did as such, submitting to whatever he gave you.
It turns out, he wanted something from you.
Your head hung over the edge of the bed, and your gaze found the floor. Liam hovered over you, the distinct sound of his jeans zipper cut through the otherwise quiet room before his fingers gripped your chin.
He tapped his hard cock on your lips once, twice -- groaning when you opened your mouth and stuck your tongue out flat. His fingers pumped his dick above you, before guiding it into your wide mouth.
Fuck.
You garbled around his thick length, the sheer size of it forcing your throat to open wide. He shoved all the way in, his pelvis meeting your nose before he pulled out, and pushed back in, slowly fucking your mouth.
"So fucking good baby,"
You blushed at the praise, your head still swimming with the effects of the alcohol you'd consumed. In the back, you could hear Ridoc's soft praises as he fisted his own cock at the sight.
"So pretty, taking dick down your throat."
Your pussy clenched at his words.
Liam continued thrusting, only slowing when his dick began to lurch. He was close, and you could feel it.
"Fuck -- oh fuck," he chanted, ramming his cock down your throat before halting. He breathed heavily as cum sprayed your throat, his release bittersweet as you swallowed it.
"Mmm yes... swallow all of it."
You do as your told, gulping down the last remnants of his seed before he yanks his cock from you. Gasping for air, your mind swims. Lifting your head up and regaining focus is a monumental task -- and before long, Ridoc is trading places with his roomate.
"Hands and knees, gorgeous."
His rough tone sends a shiver down your spine, but you obey. You lean forward, ass up and pussy spread to Ridoc behind you. Liam appeared before you, leaning onto the bed once more before fisting your hair in his hand. You whimpered, and felt the unmistakable tap of Ridoc's length on your ass cheek.
"Gonna take all of me? Like the good girl you are?"
All you could do was nod, unable to look back at him. Liams fingers toyed with your breasts, his other hand still gripping your hair tight. Your mouth fell open as Ridoc pushed in, inch by agonizing inch, until he was seated at the hilt.
"OH-"
You cried out when he retracted, slamming back into you at full force.
"Fuck, babe -- perfect pussy," he praised, his rough pace already causing a weakness in your knees. Liam licked his lips, his fingers trailing lower toward your aching clit.
"Please -- oh fuck, yes Ridoc," you chanted, lurching forward with every sharp drive he gave you. Your eyes rolled back as Liam found your clit, rubbing slow circles around it.
"What... the Hell... is going on here?"
Your eyes shot open at the tone, your cheeks immediately pinkening in shame. Ridoc nor Liam let up, still rubbing and thrusting into you as though Dain Aetos wasn't standing in the doorway.
"D-Dain.... oh fuck," you groaned before meeting his gaze. His brows narrowed as he took in the scene, though he didn't leave the doorway. "P-please, it's not what it-"
"What it, what, looks like?" He scoffs incredulously. "Because to me, it looks like you're fucking your non-boyfriend, or, boyfriends? Maybe?" He shakes his head, his eyes not so subtly tracing over your form.
Your mouth twists as Ridoc hits a particularly sensitive spot.
"Correction," he says, finally adressing the junior. "We, are fucking, her." He chuckles. "And, no, we're not her boyfriends."
Dain shakes his head again, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Look, I don't give a fuck what you all are. But, I swear to God, everyone can fucking hear you through that window-" he gestures to the open window, moonlight pouring in.
Liam pinches your clit, and you squeal.
"See?" He throws his hands up. "Everyone can fucking hear you."
"Why don't you come shut her up then?" Liam asks, taking on a tone you'd never heard before.
"Yeahhh," Ridoc agrees, his fingers gripping the meat of your ass. "You're the VP here -- teach her a lesson."
Dain sighs, stepping into the room and locking the door behind him.
"I fail to see how this is a good idea," he hesitates, but nonetheless stalks closer to the bed. You peer up at him, your rounded glassy eyes only sending a rush of blood straight to his cock.
"P-please, Dain," you beg, biting your lower lip. "You still... oh," you pause, feeling Liam's fingers rub your clit. "Y-you still have... one more..."
"Oh, I'm well aware." He grumbles, his fingers wrapping around the base of your throat as he squats before you. At eye level, he's even more devastating. He leans in, kissing your lips timidly before backing away, studying you with uncertainty.
"Come onnn," Ridoc pants, egging him on. "I know you want to -- you've been undressing her with your eyes all night."
Dain sighs, his tongue running along his bottom lip before he rises. He unbuckles his belt, letting it fall to the floor before sliding down his jeans. His cock springs free, slapping against his pelvis. He takes it in his hand, rubbing his fingers up and down the length.
"There you go -- now, show her how to be quiet." Liam urges.
Dain steps forward, his darkened eyes meeting yours as he guides his cock to your awaiting mouth. He slides it past your lips, shuddering when you swirl your tongue around the tip.
"Shit," he groans, his hand finding your jaw as he pushes in further. You gag as he stuffs your mouth, reveling in the way he throws his head back in pleasure.
He syncs with Ridoc, his cock pushing down your throat with every thrust Ridoc drives into you. You're moaning, the sound strangled around Dain's dick as he continues fucking your mouth, slow and deliberate.
"Shit, I'm fucking close-"
Ridoc drives in harder, his cock rubbing your g-spot before he bursts inside of you. His warm seed paints your walls white, pushed further inside as he delivers a last few, languid strokes. You clench around him as you find your own release, the fire in your lower abdomen burning hotter than it did the first time you came.
Liam sighs beside you, abandoning your pussy as he makes to rise off the bed. You groan at the sudden loss of Ridoc inside of you and Liam's fingers on your clit, the primary focus now being on Dain and his jerking cock. He growls as he fucks your face faster, his eyes studying your arched back and rounded ass as he drives himself in.
"Fuck sweetheart," he grumbles, his hand cupping your chin as he fucks your face with fervor. "This is what happens when you don't follow the rules, gonna get me in trouble-"
He pull shis cock from you, his hand pumping it before your face as you realize his impending release. You look up at him innocently, laying your tongue out flat for him. He moans, loud and clear, before semen shoots from the head of his cock, painting your face white with each ejaculation.
He breathes heavy, working to come down from his high while the other two quietly dress and make to leave the room. You continue to stare, flashing him an unabashed, drunken grin.
"Maybe I'll break the rules more often, then."
