Currently 15.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

9,329 - you see, my works posted so far are either shorter one shots or ficlets/drabbles.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

The Silmarillion and adjacent works by Tolkien. :) And within this fandom it's almost exclusively about rather niche ships with Mairon. Let's see when/if I will write for other fandoms; I'd love to at some point.

I will respond to every single (first) comment someone leaves on a fic of mine. I thorougly enjoy these little interactions and I want to show my appreciation to people who show me theirs.

That must be my double drabble Plaything I guess. At least if we talk about the very moment ending the fic. Throwing up from negative emotions and alcohol alike seems pretty... angsty.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

That must be Of Being Born and Little Deaths. Everyone (well...) is having a good time and it literally ends with an orgasm.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

So far I haven't and I'm very grateful for that.

9. Do you write smut?

I love writing smut. And I love weaving character analyses/studies and some poetry into it.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I don't, personally not a fan of crossovers.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I haven't, but sharing headcanons and ideas with others has endlessly inspired many of my fics.

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Angbang (Melkor/Mairon). I love them, I will never be over them; they've been with me for ten years now, I could ramble on forever about how important this ship is to me and what it means to me. It's rather popular in fandom though and I feel like there's many great writers out there who have graced us with their brilliant work. That makes me feel like I don't necessarily need to... add to that somehow. I'd love to write (more) Angbang at some point but as far as writing goes my favorite ship is Mairon/Ar-Pharazôn (which many of you might have guessed at this point lol). It's rotten, it's biblical, it's a playground for all things terrible to me. And it's a rarepair (why??) and therefore (in my mind) lies like a bare field before me, ready to sow and play in. 🖤

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

No such thing. My WIP are my children and I will not abandon them. It might take many months but they will see the light of day.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Building atmosphere, pretty lines, poetry, in some parts characterization. (Very) short formats are my strength in general.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Not really able to write anything plot-driven, sometimes dialogue (though I might have started to improve a little), prioritizing pretty imagery and rhythm/sound over meaning/sense sometimes, having difficulties writing longer stuff.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Not really my thing; could get awkard quickly imo.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Visual Kei bands (Moi dix Mois) when I was 14.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? 

Easily my little double drabble Reverence. It illustrates nicely what I talked about regarding my writing strengths for question 17 imo.

UGHUGGUGHBUH SOBS. I LOVE THE PUMPKIN DADDY APPRECIATION GOING ON GENUINELY MEANS A LOT THAT PEOPLE AT LEAST SOMEWHAT CARE AUUGHHH SOBS EVEN MORE GLAD TO SEE THE GOURD FATHER IS A HIT. May do another info dump if I have the time later but who knows. But for now to yap about what was left in the tags here:

with the hypocrisy with the fish daughter! That is true, it’s quite hypocritical, but the situations were also quite different because Gourdie was a lot more reckless with it! She gave her fish human life without thinking of the consequences or what that fish daughter would require, and she gave her human life via demonic means which is what pumpkin daddy was constantly telling her Not to do. Honestly he’d probably be on board if she just wanted to turn a fish into a human to see if she could. But yeah it’s still hypocritical lmao he’s not a total monster but let’s be honest here he’s not that great of a guy either.

and YES he would DEFINITELY be pissed off at the island name change. But ERM ACTUALLY 🤓👆 Gourdie would/is probably be more upset than he was! She in fact she wanted it to stay very badly but everyone else was like “we are not keeping that name, please stop.” And you’re right, he’d probably be indifferent to his legacy being erased. Again, Gourdie was more upset over that. Pumpkin daddy pretty much erased the previous island owner from history so now he’s getting the same treatment. He probably wouldn’t/doesn’t give a fuck but Gourdie DEFINITELY does because that’s her BELOVED HUSBAND and how DARE you do this to him. A trait I don’t think ive ever mentioned is that Gourdie is terrified of being forgotten and she’s literally watching pumpkin daddy being forgotten as the months pass so she is NOT having a good time

And I mean. Yeah he’s not that terrible of a guy but you’re gonna have to keep in mind that he ripped people’s eyes out out of sheer curiosity and has tried to beat up children because they insulted him and he ruined an entire island’s economy. So uh. He is not exactly trustworthy

AND FOR THE MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS: I’m not sure I actually have any full ones. Woe. I do however have a variety of shoddily drawn/edited shitposts but I don’t have enough space to add all of them so I will only add the one where a toad nearly usurped him

How do you think some few characters (Hien, Yugiri, Gotsetsu, the twins maybe, or really whoever you think would have the most fun reaction I just want to know it isn't just me who thinks about this) would react to the WoL forgetting to take off or just not taking off the imperial armor after the quest where you get it in stormblood? Mayhaps due to comfort reasons or just being so used to changing armor often that the thought never crossed their mind that it was the Wrong Armor.

I swear this totally isn't exactly who you think this is and I'm totally not just wanting input from more people on this kinda thing (lying lmao)

Hien stares for an improper amount of time, feeling his brow knit tighter with each passing moment. Is this a prank? Some kind of joke he's too out of touch to get? But as the seconds tick to minutes, the punchline never comes, and Hien clears his throat.

"Are you... going to change?" he asks, struggling to phrase the question eloquently. The WoL blinks at him.

"Change?" they repeat. Hien gestures to their breastplate. As their eyes follow suit, the Warrior blanches. "Oh, shit! Sorry, I wasn't even thinking-"

"No, no!" Hien blurts. "There is no rush, I just thought-"

They both pause, realizing they are each apologizing for imagined slights. Hien's pinched expression cracks first. A chuckle rumbles in his chest, and before he knows it, the two are laughing at themselves.

"Thanks for reminding me," the Warrior says sheepishly, already taking off their gauntlets.

Hien bobs his chin, feeling his posture slip just a tad looser. At least he wasn't the only one feeling a little clueless. "Of course."

Yugiri knows all too well the visceral discomfort of disguising oneself as an enemy -- so when she steps into the hallway after a long post-mission debrief to find the WoL still dressed in Imperial armor, the shinobi bristles.

"Why do you still wear it?" she demands.

Her tone leaves little room for speculation about what it is. The Warrior freezes, suddenly feeling as guilty as a child caught with their hand in the pantry, although they can't exactly explain why.

"I... forgot about it," they admit. Yugiri stiffens ever so slightly, and the WoL cringes. Apparently, that was the wrong thing to say.

"I'm always changing armor," they add hurriedly. "After a while, it all starts to feel the same."

Yugiri's gaze slices up and down their body once more before she turns away, folding her arms.

"Perhaps. But it does not all look the same. You would be wise to remember that."

She disappears around the corner, quick and silent as a knife.

Gosetsu isn't the jumpy sort, but when a figure strides across the courtyard in that unmistakable metal plate, the old samurai finds his heart gripped in a swelling panic. His mind swims through a dozen questions at once. How can an Imperial soldier stalk these halls without kicking up a swarm of guards? Why aren't there any calls to arms ringing through the air? Are they under attack? Where is Hien? Then, just as his hand dips toward his sword, Gosetsu does a double take.

There are familiar weapons strapped to that soldier's back; there is a familiar set of eyes peaking out of their helmet. It is no enemy infiltrator, but the Warrior of Light themselves, still swathed in the armor they'd worn on their earlier mission. Gosetsu's skin prickles with relief.

"Ho there," he calls, willing his voice not to waver. The Warrior gives him a friendly wave, slowing to a stop.

"Hey, Gosetsu," they say cheerily. "What's up?"

The samurai cocks a brow. "I should ask you the very same! You might well give an old man a heart attack walking around like that."

The Warrior jolts as his words sink in, then scrambles to take off their helmet. An apology bubbles in their throat, but Gosetsu claps them on the shoulder before they can form it into coherent words. His laugh booms.

"Ah, but maybe it is good to keep old men on their toes, too!" he muses.

Then, Gosetsu turns and waltzes off, leaving the Warrior standing bewildered in the center of the courtyard.

so starting out, regulus to me is a GAY MAN. like i legit can not see him being otherwise. he’s also trans bc i’m trans and i say so but that’s not important to my thoughts, just wanted to add that. james is pansexual for sure, with lily being bisexual ofc.

so now my thoughts on jegulily. i only really like it if they’re JAMES’ partners. so james is dating regulus and lily, but lily and reg aren’t together. they’re like really close, but not in a relationship.

i really hope that makes sense. i swear i’m not bashing anyone in this, i legit just can’t see reg and lily being together to save my life. but they can be besties 100%

Pacing and setting up a scene or atmosphere, I think. Also I can write a verity of genres.

Dialogue. And generally being to purple prose. Also the penchant to meander and add a lot of details.

This question made me think there is a discourse lurking behind it lmao. But why not. It's a fic. And if you're featuring multiple languages in the story then write those 'foreign' dialogues. You can choose to leave them in the 'mother tongue' too. Seriously, whatever float your boat!

i think i started reading it because of an edit on tik tok (at this point what DON’T i do because of edits on tik tok…) and found out the webcomic wasn’t finished so i just went straight for the novel instead!! and honestly i’m glad i did because it was a much better experience imo…honestly i was lucky in that i had literally nothing else to do so it was easy for me to keep reading which meant i could get to the really exciting parts quicker!! since at first it’s kind of confusing 😰 but i do want to reread at some point because i think it’s one of those stories that’ll be even better when you know the ending?? or like you pick up on things you missed the first time around 🙂‍↕️ however it’s so long that rereading would be such a time commitment idk if i could do it 😭

LMAOOO I NEEDEDDDD TO GO ON THE PEREGRINE RANT WITH SOMEBODY!!! oh 100% it’s like one of the main three fights they have (the first is after he becomes friends with reo and asks her why she hates him so much so she tells him she hates him for not trying and still being better than her because she’ll be stuck in their hometown forever [they secretly become friends and then start dating afterwards], the second is when she finds out he failed on purpose because she’s all like “oh you didn’t trust me now i didn’t even earn it” and nagi’s like “bro what do you want from me 😰”, and the third is when he bikes to her house and asks her to stay and she tells him she has to leave and then literally gets in the taxi and leaves him standing there in the rain watching her go 😭) okay wait more peregrine lore: the reason why she gets with kira is deadass because chigiri reo and may convince her to go to a college party in their freshman year with them for the underage drinking experience and when she’s drunk she sees a tall pale haired soccer player and is like omg nagi??? and goes over to cry and hug him because she misses him sm…meanwhile kira is like WTF but finds her hot so he decides he needs to snatch and that’s why he knows who nagi is even though she doesn’t remember it happening because reo may chigiri were NOT responsible friends and she had a bitttt too much 😓 she says no because she still loves nagi and wants to be with him once she graduates but a week or so later nagi goes viral on social media for mentioning he’s in love with a girl from their hometown — orie watanabe (reader’s best friend from when she was a kid who sold her out to her mother) so she calls kira and is like “ok ig i’ll date you i have no other options” BUT plot twist there’s an interlude which shows the actual interview and all nagi said (in response to the interviewer asking why he’s single) is that he’s still in love with this girl he knew from when he was younger (implied to be reader) it’s just that the gossip sites went crazy trying to find the girl and orie being a clout chaser is like “oh he’s talking abt me” LMAOAOA and ofc as chigiri mentioned nagi doesn’t have any social media so he had 0 clue what was even HAPPENING but that’s why reader thinks he moved on first!!

also wait number one peregrine moment that is yet to come is during reo and may’s wedding…the date of reader’s wedding has been set and she’s dancing w nagi as the best man and maid of honor usually do and she starts crying because talking to may made her realize she actually still loves nagi but she doesn’t know how to escape the hole she’s dug for herself so nagi’s like “wow guys she’s so emotional her best friends are getting married 🙂‍↕️” and they go sit in the corner and he’s like ok why are you ACTUALLY crying and she’s like i wish we were the ones getting married which ofc makes nagi be like 😮 UNFORTUNATELY kira is there and he overhears and starts crashing out but then the goat himself HYOMA CHIGIRI pulls up and diffuses things by dumping a glass of red wine on kira’s head and saying “you’ve always wanted to be like me at least now you’ve got the hair color down 🥱” JFNDJSKS then kira fucks off back to america but chigiri gets home first and he + niko + kunigami get all of reader’s stuff out of their house before kira can do anything…then nagi gets back into soccer but the only team that’ll take him is a really shitty one that’s supposed to be kicked out of the league because they don’t even have a coach and reader is like “yo if you take nagi as a player i’ll get you a coach” and then she calls chigiri so he + kunigami + niko (who still has reader’s cat for some reason) pull up and chigiri gets the job as their coach and he + nagi lead them to victory that season even though chigiri had to quit playing soccer in college because of his leg (hence why kira replaced him) 🤩

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do my best, but not everything. Recently I've been trying to do every other chapter of a fic, but I'm having a harder time responding to one-shots recently. I used to respond to everything, comments on ao3 were literally and I mean this genuinely, my only interaction outside of my family for years. I got really close with some of the commenters. Lately, I've been much, much, much worse mentally, so i do what I can.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

uhhh, i'm a cross between Five Out of Five is an Ideal You Can't Have - where Loki is still extremely upset with Thor and Thor Did Not Get the Point or End of File, where Thor goes at Mobius with a knife. Oh and I guess there's the whole XXO Mom series, part #2 ends suuuuper angsty.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

idk, i generally try to end on an upward note with everything. Happiest ending is like...probably Stygian? Oh, and Empirical is also pretty upbeat.

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

lmao. When do I not get it? Every couple of weeks at least. Once I got told on a fic that had nothing to do with religion that I was "forcing Christian values" onto everyone because I said in my bio i was Christian and I was ??? for a few days about that. People complain about the writing, they complain about me, they complain about fics not getting updated, they complain about oocness (somehow wrote me like, a 10 page paper on a fic once about how ooc thor was and honestly I commend them because that takes some effort), I get hate all the time and it's very exhausting. Champion hater is probably the anon that sent me a very nasty ask about what a terrible writer I was and how I deserved any trouble I got with publishing when I was trying to express how frustrating it was that the publishing industry is structured rigidly. (I still think that it should be middle grade, teen (12-18) and then YA should be 18-22, THEN adult, because 18-22 is a wild, awful experience that deserves to be it's own genre) Anyway, that anon made me cry for like 2 hours, so. I commend him. 10/10 bullying.

9. Do you write smut?

No. no plans to. writing sex is really meh to me. I admire people who can, I just...do not care about sex scenes lol. I understand they play a part in stories I'm just like "let's...leave it implied if I must and then. not write it."

10. Do you write crossovers?

nope! I'm not opposed to them, I just don't really have any ideas. I did have a multi-fic crossover planned between Supernatural and MCU but I lost interest after writing part 1, there was something else. Like I really wanted to write that fic. idk, i'd have to look at my plans.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Ugh. Yes. People post them on different websites without my permission all the time, someone once made a podcast about one of my fics where they completely obliterated it and that was absolutely humiliating. (They did think I was like 25 though, when at the time I was 16, so that at least was funny) Outside of fics, my sister stole major plot points/character things from my original series to add to her book and I'm still really, really frustrated about that.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yep, loads. My goal is to get good enough at Russian and Spanish to translate some fics myself.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Twice that I know of, but idk. Maybe one more after that? It was a looooong time ago, though.

14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?

Clintasha. And if not that, then one of my ships for my original series.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Honestly, probably the Loki series rewrite I started. I have the entire thing mapped out I just do not care as much as I did when I started the concept of it.

16. What’s your writing strengths?

Mental illness, vivid imagery, trauma. I'm good at sucking you into the character's head and then punching you in the stomach for it. I also know how to plot and plan and that's very helpful.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

Endings and beginnings. I'm terrible at both of them. I dread them with my whole heart. I'm also, I've discovered recently, really bad at setting up characters the way I want. Also sometimes I back myself into terrible corners and have no idea how to fix it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I have done this in several fics, I think it's kind of a nice nod to people who speak the language cause they get an extra layer for the fic. I don't hate it being in the fic, I can live without it. I do think that the fic has to survive without translations or you've failed because I would never look up a translation myself when I'm reading it the first time and I know it's the same way with a lot of poeple.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

How to Train Your Dragon. I was 12. That account is still up (I was harassed off of it by some very dedicated guests) I refuse to delete fics, even the most embarrassing ones. Literally the first thing I ever finished writing period is posted there.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

Oh that's a hard one because I do generally really enjoy my fics and can take some pride in them but right now, Scar Tissue or You Screamed for So Long We Forgot to Care Anymore. I love writing Scar Tissue, it's been such a blast and it's so good to explore other characters outside of MCU, i feel like I'm stretching new writing muscles and it's good. I also loved the community that I had when posting YSFSLWFTCA. It was just...genuinely one of my fics of all time. But anything with Peter and Tony is just so much fun for me, too.

Currently, I'm only writing for Star Wars. But I used to write for Arrow and Supergirl, and ASoIAF, Dark-Hunters and Chronicles of Nick are in standby. I'm waiting for right motivation to come back to any of the last 3.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try my best, but sometimes I forget, and then it's been weeks and months since I got the comments that I'm embarrassed to reply them after so long. Even though, I think it's important that a writer let the reader/commenter that they appreciate it, even if it's with a simple "thank you" or an emoji. I know I'm being a hypocrite here since I fail to do what I preach, but it doesn't make it less true.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I think that would be Drifting, because it's kind of open ending, left to be interpreted, so it could end however the reader wants. Although, I left an author's note at the end saying what's my preferred ending, which always will be inclined to the happy side.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

High Above the Ground because is the happy ending i want for Commander Fox and Riyo Chuchi. They deserve only the best!

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

No, not really. I've gotten only 1 stupid message of someone criticizing a fic, but that was years ago when I still posted on FF dot net. The joke was on the reader because I moderated all the comments there so I just deleted it and nobody saw it but me. Honestly, I just laughed about it cuz their argument was just stupid.

9. Do you write smut?

I do, all kinds -from the most tame thing to the most perverted. But I used to wrote way more in my old fandoms, especially for Arrow. I think for Star Wars I've written just 1 or 2 smutty fics, and tamed at that.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I've tried a couple of occasions but never finished them. I'm not opposed to them obviously, but I do think the combination of fandoms has to be just right to work. Or at least, when it's me doing the writing.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes! Many, many years ago in the first fandom I ever wrote for. It was awful and hated it! You see, this was in the stone age of the internet when fandom specific sites abounded and not everyone had an account on FFnet yet (and Ao3 was not even a dream). The site I published on was split in 2 sections because the ships war in the fandom was bloody and ruthless, so to avoid the slaughter, I kept myself in my preferred side. But one day, a friend who read fic on both sides told me that someone stole my fics. Avoiding to get caught, the person who did it published them under a pen name that was almost exact to mine, she only added a period at the end, which could easily go unnoticed. Oh, and she interchanged characters names so it'd fit the other ship.

At first, my friend thought I had posted them but she knew I'd never write for that ship, like ever. In the end, it turned out that I wasn't the only one who had being plagiarized. Several people ON BOTH SIDES were. Thankfully, the person was caught and banned, but we almost burned the site down because of the whole shitshow.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

By me, yes, several. All into Spanish (my mother tongue). By others, not that I know of.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes! A couple of times for different fandoms, and I loved it. I hope I'll do it again. The thing is that you need to find the right partner for it, or it can be a nightmare.

14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?

I don't appreciate this question, let me tell you. It's hard to choose. But I think I have to go with Olicity. I love them still (even if the show ending ruined it for me). Close second would be Braime (and I'm glad that there's still hope for them on the books, because as usual the show fucked them so but sooooo bad)

And as Star Wars specific, I don't think anyone will be surprised if I say it's Kalluzeb, right 🤣 They're my babies and I adore them!

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Anything for Arrow or Supergirl. I sworn off those fandoms after their respectively awful endings.

No promises, but there's still hope for all if my unfinished works for Star Wars 😅

16. What’s your writing strengths?

Coming up with ideas. So, so many ideas. All the time and I want to write them all.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

Finishing writing the above-mentioned ideas. I tend to splay myself too much when I'm writing, and it takes me forever to get to the portion I really want to write (usually the idea that sparked the whole writing process) and I lose steam. That's why I have so many unfinished WIPs. I wish they'd write themselves.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

It's ok if used sparingly. A word here, a phrase over there is fine, but if a wall of dialogue that the reader needs to scroll down to the notes or click on a tooltip to find out the meaning it's the worst!!! A better solution for a writer that really needs/wants to have a whole conversation in another language for plot reasons or whatever, then all they need to do is to say once that the characters are talking in the other language and put the dialogue in the same language they've been writing the rest of the narrative and in italic.

The characters who don't speak the language won't understand what's being said, but the reader will and their reading will be more pleasant and fluid.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

An Argentinian show called Floricienta. A modern retelling of Cinderella.

20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?

I don't like this question either! All my fics are my babies! How do you want me to choose?!! There are so many I'm proud of. I guess I'll point the most recent one: Feed Me Poison, Fill me till I Drown I really like how this story is coming along. It's not done yet (what else is new? 😅) but what's coming is so so good!

word count: around 400 and 500 words, respectively.

anguish. 

seeing you with another person, oblivious to their blatant flirting, gave him anguish. it was just a normal night at wangshu inn, you had brought xiao some almond tofu and was about to leave, until some merchant from fontaine stopped you to start some small talk. you, of course, dropped everything you were doing and started talking. how could you just carelessly stop to talk with some random merchant? what if he was dangerous? thoughts concerning your safety went through xiao’s head like a hurricane.

no, he wasn’t jealous, he was just concerned about this stranger — or at least that’s what he would like to think. 

one minute passed. then five. and then twenty. xiao had enough at this point, as only his gaze wasn’t enough to intimidate the pesky merchant, and you looked fairly tired of talking. the adeptus made his way to the both of you, your eyes immediately shifting towards him with curiosity. he wasn’t one to show many emotions and he knew it, but this was too much. the merchant looked at xiao with annoyance as he tried to grab your attention once more.

“y/n” xiao said, and you looked at him with confusion in your eyes. “i see you’re tired. do you wish for me to accompany you through your way home?” 

you looked very confused. xiao never offered to do something like that before, and he knew you were wondering. “i wouldn’t like for you to run into any monsters, that is” he added quickly, making you look at him with even more confusion. yes, he knew you could fend for yourself, and at first he didn’t mind your presence much, but you had grown to become something he cherished. so, it was only normal for him to offer to take you home, right?

maybe this will be enough to scare him off, xiao thought. and yet, he was wrong. 

“actually, i was thinking the same-” the merchant started to say, but suddenly stopped at the feeling of xiao’s gaze on him. maybe it had finally worked, staring at him with unmatched anger. “oh no! i just remembered i have something really important to do! see you, y/n!” and, with that, the merchant was quickly gone. 

xiao could only sigh in relief.

childe was jealous, and that was obvious to everyone around him. 

both of you were strolling around liyue harbor, enjoying one of his rare off duty days. it was a sunny day, the breeze was nice and the streets were bustling with people looking around shops and enjoying their day. everything was perfect, the way your hands intertwined, the way you laughed at his flirtatious jokes, the way your hair flowed with the wind. 

so why had your ex suddenly appeared?

it was funny, really. your ex didn’t even recognize childe, neither as your current boyfriend or one of the fatui harbingers. if he did notice you both were having a date, he was surely happy to intervene. it made childe’s eye twitch slightly out of annoyance, but his facade was perfect. well, almost.

it was his body language that made it clear for you. the way he held your hand slightly more tight, as if you were going to leave him at any moment. the way his stare made its way between you and your ex, switching between you both constantly. it was clear that he was annoyed, but you couldn’t do much about it, as your ex just wouldn’t stop talking. he would ask you about your family, about your current occupation, about the present. you were quite uncomfortable, but what could you do? just turn away and go?

on childe’s mind, that’s exactly what you should do, but he knew you were way too polite to do something like that. so, he waited. for a while, that is. as the conversation seemed to have no end and you seemed quite uncomfortable, childe decided it was time to intervene. 

“hey comrade, i’m sorry to interrupt but me and y/n were about to go eat something together, i believe they must be quite hungry, right?” he looked at you, and you instantly nodded, noticing his quick plan to get rid of your ex. 

“oh? i’m sorry, who are you? we are having a conversation here, if you can’t tell” you ex replied, and something sparked in childe’s eyes. 

it wasn’t anger, but rather amusement. 

“my name is childe, but i also go by tartaglia. nice to meet you!” as childe said his name, he noticed a sudden fear in your ex’s eyes. he retracted back, looking at the other like an alien. 

“t-tartaglia, you say?” your ex said, and childe nodded enthusiastically. this is fun, he thought. your ex turned to you, looking frightened by your current boyfriend. “ah, i’m sorry, y/n, but i suddenly remembered this thing i have to do… farewell!” he said, quickly making his way away from you both with trembling legs. 

after your ex left, you looked to childe and suddenly burst out laughing. he followed, laughing heartily as well. and you two continued your date, thankfully without any interruptions this time.
