I lowkey both hate and love that the best thing I've ever written is a fanfic I wrote for my friend's birthday. She said she wanted a bsd figure skating au and that I could do whatever I wanted to and I went toxic ice dance!!! And I did have so much fun writing it, a lot less fun doing art and formatting it all and finding someone to actually print it out and bind it. But the story is a banger actually!

noble blood by @forest-hashira (satoru & suguru, ongoing) - i haven't read this one yet, but both of fallon's entries for my collab were incredible, so i can only imagine this is too! plus, the premise is SO insane, it's about dragon riders, and there's an entire sheet with all lore that they've created !! i can see how much love and care was put into this one, so i can't wait to check it out !!

oh, baby! by @tetsuskei (kuroo, ongoing) - i have yet to read the first part (everyone throw tomatoes at me) but risu posted some parts on her old blog & i read it there! it's so so sweet!! i looove all her writing, and dad!kuroo is just the cutest thing EVER.

waterloo by @fyorina (dazai, ongoing) - i haven't read this one yet either but i am SO SO incredibly excited to get to it. this one is going to be long, so it might be what you're looking for !! the first two parts are out already, and there's a posting schedule if you want to know when they're coming out :)

bulletproof love by @staryukis (gojo, ongoing) - i've really enjoyed this one so far and logan's writing is so captivating <3 it feels just like missing scenes from in between the canon jjk storyline. logan also has a mini zombie apocalypse series i've been excited to read after reading the other series !! it's dying (for your love).

regrets by @/kingkonoha (levi, complete) is so good !! i still need to finish it, but the concept is super cool & the reader is the antagonist so it's a really interesting spin on levi's actions in the canon universe.

tidal temptations by @fyodorloveclub (fyodor, ongoing) - i have also yet to read this one (cries myself to sleep my tbr is never ending), but everything flora writes is incredible, so i have no doubt this one is too. it's a merman fyodor fic, which is such a cool concept i'm so excited to see where it goes !!!

hell within reach by @/ddarker-dreams (chrollo, complete) - omg. ok i read this one like 2 years ago LOL, but it's finished and its about 80k long, and it's so good <3 i used to be an insane chrollo girlie & this is one of my favorite fics about him.

lover's delight by @lovelyluc (diluc, ongoing) - i don't even play genshin or know anything about it HSHFSDFH but this one is so sweet <3 you can really see how much awea loves diluc in this series, which is my favorite thing about reading fics, and it has so many of my favorite tropes !!

geheinisse by @honeybleed (jean & reiner, ongoing) - only the first part of this is out but it's SO INCREDIBLE. there's so much drama already, and nara does such a great job of setting the scene while getting you hooked immediately. nara also has a two part reiner fic (the first part is decades) that's completed and over 10k words that i'll never forget! her characterization of reiner is so yummy.

if it wasn't for him (would you have me) by @gojoath (yuuta, ongoing) - cella's the ceo of yandere yuuta, so if you're into him, i can't think of anyone else to recommend !!! cella wrote another yuuta series that i think is completed, so there are lots of amazing things to read on her blog <3

@osaemu has a streamer!gojo series that are all in the same universe & connect! they're so funny & everything sabs writes is amazing, so i encourage you to check out her work if you haven't

the lakehouse by @tetzoro (kuroo, ongoing) - rahhh i'm the worst bc i still haven't read this but aims is one of my favorite writers on here, so trust me it's amazing. this was written for october, so if you're missing autumn rn def read this one! aims also has another kuroo series coming soon <3

✨ My BSD hot takes/unpopular opinions ✨:

1. Identifying BSD characters as Queer, is not problematic. STOP being so Heteronormative. Gay characters are not gonna kill you.

If I see another "BuT tHe ChArAcTeRs nEvEr SaId tHeY aRe GaY" I would bomb you 💣/j

2. Skk/SSKK/Fyolai/other popular ships, exist because people like it. If you don't ship them, don't engage with their content. Not all shippers act crazy and toxic. Stop blaming everything on shippers.

3. Atsushi/Kyouka is problematic, stop justifying it with "only 4 year age gap". Kyouka is a CHILD, ship her with Kenji if you want. Atsushi, like a normal 18 year old would never look at a highschool freshman and date her. Even if they date in the future, he knew her when she was younger and they had a sibling like dynamic. Lucy is a way better love interest to Atsushi (Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion tho, but I saw some people justifying it 😐😐😐)

4. DAZAI IS NOT EVIL. HE IS FAR FROM EVIL. He is, despite being super popular and the face of BSD, the most mischaracterized and villified character. Morally grey characters exist??!!!

5. Mori is a way worse person than Dazai ever was.

6. PM members get a free pass for any heinous crime they commit by being hot or babygirl-ified (still love them tho, we do not often discuss how bad their actions have been, you can like criminals and acknowledge they are criminals in fiction. I would add DoA to this too, but it's worse with the PM)

7. Akutagawa's abuse of Kyouka shouldn't be forgotten just because Dazai abused Akutagawa.

8. Mori emotionally manipulated and abused Dazai when he was a teen. Just because it wasn't physical, doesn't mean it was nothing.

9. Atsushi is NOT a soft boy, he is way bitter, salty and sarcastic than we give him credit

10. Poe is important to Ranpo and their friendship/relationship is wholesome as hell

11. Ranpo and Yosano's friendship is way better than them being in a relationship in the future

12. FukuFuku is better than Fukumori (imo!!!!)

13. Buying real authors work after watching BSD is actually a really good thing, since more Gen z kids (or other people) will read classics

14. There are layers to Atsushi and Akutagawa relationship/rivalry, and they have the MOST important relationship (not meaning romantic, just in general) in the entire canon.

15. Kunikida and Yosano could be a power couple

16. Fyodor is not a great villain (yet)

17. Nikolai CARRIES the DoA

18. Sigma shouldn't be in the ADA, he needs a happy home, family and some time to adjust to normal life

19. Q and Elise are both underused characters and could become a great dynamic

20. Ango deserves more love, the amount of pressure and stress he deals with is INSANE

21. It's OKAY if everyone joins the fandom for Dazai or skk (I did at first too!!)

22. Higuchi is annoying as hell. I do not get her hype, I like her but not as much as most people (just personal opinion, do not flame me 😭)

23. Everyone in The Guild is forgettable or boring (except Fitzgerald, Poe and Lucy. I like Louisa, but I forget her all the time)

24. Hetero ships are just not that great/interesting in BSD to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ (except maybe AtsuLucy or rare pairs) and female characters are not best utilised, I wish they play more major roles (can't wait for Agatha to arrive!!)

25. Some fan theories/arts get the story better than "canon" stuff at times. Fanon is NOT always the worst (sometimes enjoyable when the canon gets too dark or sad)

26. Toxic ships are okay in fiction as long as they are legal. Humans like toxic things, we consume it like junk food 💅🏻

just bsd! i try to work on original stuff in my down time, and I've considered writing for hannibal, sw, dune, etc... before however I've found i enjoy reading fics more for those fandoms.

do you respond to comments? why or why not?

i try!! i have a huge backlog because i was gone for so long but i'm slowly slowly working through them ( 180+ )

what's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

when i awake's ending is definitely bittersweet, but sometimes death really is just the ending that provides the best narrative fulfillment for a character. however considering the ending I have planned for tsp... ugh. i actually think when i awake might be angstier

do you get hate on fics?

apparently~ not much, though, thank god. i have seen people talk about my writing in passing on twitter when they didn't know it was me they were replying to, or they think i don't check the qrts on my posts, but it's mostly harmless stuff about my writing not matching their preferences which is alright <3

with the way things are going right now it might be TSP. but in all seriousness, there's a BEAST AU skk thing sitting in my drafts waiting for a better outline...and all I do is stare at it longingly. lots of little snippets of it exist in a nebulous plot cloud ( my notes app ) alongside the synopsis of a soukoku actors au

what are your writing strengths?

i think the thing i do best is probably symbolism or the like... bringing moments back full-circle, weaving bits of the real-life authors' or bsd canon and meta-canon into the fic is where i find myself most satisfied with what I've done. also--since TSP is so noir-inspired--adding references to some of my favorite films hehe.

what are your writing weaknesses?

i'm awful at dialogue ( banter ), action sequences, and planning.

thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i don't do it in languages i don't know unless i have a team of people willing to check it for me. i just write it in the same language as the rest of the fic and add a dialogue tag specifying it's being translated...

first fandom you wrote for?

you'll never find it but i did write destiel way back when

i try my best to! but i don't always have the time or energy to respond so my replies can be... a little delayed sometimes.

definitely bleeding heart dove or oolong that i just posted today haha. something about late winter/early spring makes me want to... kill my characters i guess? i don't know.

what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

the skeleton fic. i just felt like it deserved a happy ending after all... gestures vaguely. that.

do you get hate on fics?

people yell at me in my inbox sometimes but it's mostly positive, so no. knocks on wood.

sometimes but i don't usually write smut exclusively, except that. coughs. one time.

not really no. nothing against crossovers it's just not something that really interests me.

ohh.. tough one. if you asked me for my current favorite my answer would be very different, mind you. but all time... it's hilson.

what's the wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

hmm. i have one almost 30k wip that i wrote nearly two years ago but i wouldn't say i've completely given up on it, it just needs some major editing and i'm just currently not inspired to do it.

what are your writing strengths?

this is one of those things where i think one thing and everyone else seems to think otherwise but i really enjoy writing dialogue and i like to think i'm pretty good at it.

what are your writing weaknesses?

i'm not always very good at planning ahead. i like to see where the story takes me but sometimes this makes me run into walls.

english is not my first language, so technically i already do so sure. why not.

ALSO i didn't have much fun writing it. but i plan to write some good smut that i actually enjoy writing sometime in the future. i have learnt from my mistakes time to make my blorbos fuck nasty (while trying to not make it a character study and failing)

what are your writing strengths?

i like messing with formatting, if that's anything. it almost always ends up good. it's really really fun to play with words and symbolism and all that jazz. i also think i'm good with writing intense emotions and picking apart a character's psyche.

what are your writing weaknesses?

oughhh consistency. sometimes i go insane and write 10k in 3 days (been a while since I did that tho) and sometimes i drag out one chapter update for more than 6 months (sorry, navarasam. I'll come back to you i swear on my life). oh and im not great with action sequences.

thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

if you mean any other language than english, then yeah sure. love it, very fun. i haven't written any yet, but i did name and base my fic, navarasam's, theme in tamil concepts.

oohhh that's a hard one. i love all my fics very much because i have this policy of don't like don't write. i just don't bother writing/posting something i don't adore. that being said, my death note light yagami & sayu yagami character study fic (dollhouse. oohh you wanna read this fic so bad) was SO fun to write. it also helps that it's an absolute banger. so yeah i guess you can say i had the most fun writing that one.

YOU FUCKING BET!!!! I love having the opportunity to list my favorites for anything, though I'm also incredibly picky about fanfics, so I don't actually know (until I start scrolling my bookmarks and listing them) if I'll reach a whole 10 favorites!! But I might! (Note: these are in no particular order)

What I Want From You is Sweet by VampireFaun (Heaven Official's Blessing) [And basically every other work that she's written! But some of my other top favorites of hers are The Thing That Was Not His Highness and Beast With Two Backs]: When I can't get a fanfic out of my head, I usually end up drawing an illustration based on it, if I'm bold enough to risk depicting an author's precious words (rare). This is my MOST re-read fic and I won't ever stop. It doesn't help that VampireFaun/Deer is a WONDERFUL PERSON and I love her personality so much. She's an incredible writer!

Tenfold by dgalerab (Bungou Stray Dogs) : Baby's first fic! This was one of the writings that immediately roped me into the fanfic world. When I first was into it, I was under the impression that everyone just went there to write half-assed explorations of sex between characters, and that wasn't so appealing to me. When I discovered that some people can write entire 25-chapter PLOTS with the level of literacy that matches what I hoped to read??? I was hooked. Obviously you can see in this list that I have strong devotion to a handful of fic writers and my favorites are just the top best fics that I return to of their writing. If I find a great writer, I subscribe to them and go on a rampage of consumption through their list of fics, my fandom or not! Please consider doing the same for those authors that I mention like that!! You'll find so much gold. Everything by dgalerab is good in some way, I have almost all of their fics bookmarked. :') My only complaint about this particular story was that HOLY FUCK THE AUTHOR CUT SO MANY SCENES WAY TOO SHORT LMAO. Please let me have a full comfort scene for more than two paragraphs T_T I worked so hard for it. I cried so much. ANYWAY, STILL A HUGE INSPIRATION FOR WHAT I WENT ON TO WRITE!

What You Have Tamed by Parsnipit (Heaven Official's Blessing)

Love is Hard, Life Sucks by gev_ao3 (Bungou Stray Dogs) : A painful inspection of the nuances of domestic abuse. This one rang true to reality so much that I don't think I can re-read it without having a depressive episode. It's not finished, but it's Fyozai, and you know how I feel about that. Also side-plot SKK! I usually can't stand AUs, but this one fits the situations very well. It's the type of fic that only someone who knows a little too much about how abuse works on a victim can write.

Careful Fear and Dead Devotion by intimatopia (Trigun Stampede) : Yet another fic that I couldn't help but draw for! And intimatopia was kind enough to link it in his fic summary T_T - A super angsty sadomasochistic fic about Vash needing pain and Wolfwood needing to give it. If I don't list any other fics by him on here, it's because I'm such a huge enjoyer of his writing (one of my favorite fic authors), so nearly all of them that don't hit on personal triggers are in my favorites category. He's a master at pinning down the PERFECT depictions of characters that make them feel as canon as possible while also becoming more tangible and real. The ZhongXiao, AyaThoma and Kaeluc fics are incredible. Read them all! However, I will mention that one of his fics that first stuck with me was his Kaeluc AU Northbound & Reaching ! Carys has done a lot of BSD fics too, of which a few stick out to me like They Say You Gotta Fake It and that one Soul Eater AU he did where Dazai was a knife in Chuuya's drawer who gained a body. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT WENT CUZ I CAN'T FIND IT TO LINK YOU BUT GO LOOK THROUGH ALL HIS FICS FOR IT. IT'S REALLY UNIQUE.

Top 5 works, I guess?? As I mentioned several times while gushing, three of these account for entire lists of the author's works that you should enjoy if we share the same taste! VampireFaun, dgalerab, and intimatopia are my top fic authors, and I've read everything they've posted as long as it didn't contain anything personally triggering - and have learned about new fandoms even! Also, Alaruya didn't make it on this list, but they have a Fyozai fic that really inspired me with its imagery and language. I link it in my Sinner fanfic if you're interested!

I have quite a few other random fics I enjoy, but most were from a Heaven Official's Blessing craze recently and then BSD works that inspired me in some way, but they're not very unique or long, so I felt like this was the best collection to list. Most any fic that explores Dazai struggling with self-harm or neediness or asexuality has my attention. It just has to be written well!

Hello! The name's Azul. I'm an 18 year old who loves Bungou Stray Dogs. For a few days now I have been trying to find long-term roleplay partners who knows the fandom of Bungou Stray Dogs.

I have been in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom for almost a year now, and let me just say I really adore all of the characters except for Mori.

The problem is that I have never experienced roleplaying the fandom BUT I am now wanting to experience roleplaying the fandom and possibly explore the AUs.

I have cosplayed a character from the fandom before and that is the one and only; Chūya Nakahara.

Okay, quick question.

Would you be interested in reading shin soukoku fan fiction? I've been in a writer's block for a while so my supernatural fic is on hold, but holy fuck does the bsd fandom lack proper slow burn 100k+ shin soukoku fics that aren't straight up smut or have smut in it and I wish to write a fic for Atsushi and Ryuunosuke, but idk if anyone is interested and now I'm rambling...

Okay so who is interested in slow burn shin soukoku multi chapter no smut and mostly story based with in character characters?

Also question: if the answer to the previous question is yes-

Options:

1. Time travel (no not the MC is a baby, but like a fix it of sorts where Aku and Atsu accidentally travel back in time)

2. Right after the 6 month deal (6 month period of Atsushi and Akutagawa being frienemies and despising themselves for falling for each other)

3. Beasts AU (based on BSD Beasts where Akutagawa and Atsushi become friends and are sort of mutually pining but both of them refuse to acknowledge it since they are on enemy sides and Akutagawa has beef with the PM)

4. AU (where Atsushi and Akutagawa end in an alternate reality (possibly created by the book) in which neither of them exist and the PM doesn't exist and ADA is not ADA, but a regular police/detective agency since abilities don't exist and Aku and Atsu keep forgetting that major fact so they are being hunted by the government for being "potential escaped experiments" and no matter how much they despise each other they know that they can't get out of this alone)

5. AU 2 ( Atsushi starts developing difficulty controlling the tiger in his sleep after the headmasters death and the ADA can't keep an eye on him all the time, so ADA and PM collectively decide to look over Atsushi on missions so they don't get an actual man-eating-tiger on the run, of course Akutagawa would be the primary babysitter ;p)

6. AU 3 ( Akutagawa has undiagnosed Autism and Atsushi is the first to figure it out, of course the ADHD were-tiger thinks Akutagawa knows this fact about himself and he just keeps asking Ryuu weird questions on missions and carrying noise cancelling headphones because he doesn't know if Ryuu will ever need them and he is so in denial of his feelings he says it's nothing but him being a caring business partner, it doesn't work because everyone in ADA and PM thinks he is madly in love (he might be) but in reality he is just really caring and doesnt want his PM partner to die)

7. AU 4 (Akutagawa sleeps during the day because of his job, until three months into the deal with Atsushi when the were-tiger appears half dead on his (very not publicly known about home) doorstep and he has to stay up for an entire week because Atsushi's heart keeps stopping and the healing isn't working properly while Ryuu just tries to keep his partner alive telling himself that it was all because he is the one meant to kill him)

I like all of these but can't decide which one to write first, so... Help?

it really depends on the context of the story i think it's ok when it's a couple words here and there that can't be directly translated into english (for example japanese suffixes don't bother me in eng or fr translations) and longer dialogues can be meaningful and good as well but that's a lot harder to do and i've never seen it done well in a fanfiction before

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

not ship per se but there's a lot of gen fics that i really really want to write. atsushi & dazai, atsushi & kyouka, higuchi & aku, there's also a gin & verlaine idea in my head that i've been hung up on for soooo long. hopefully 2025 will be my year

this is definitely recency bias talking but i really liked the montcott fic i wrote for rarepair week. it's short but it came to me so easily and i just love them sm

Hello Hello,

i decided to open drawing requests!! A quick list on things i do and don't :> (simply because its my first time and i need patience for this)

♤ ships

♡ all genders (daring to the girls, i need to learn !!)

◇ bsd (maybe other fandoms, you can request anything but other fandoms than bsd may take longer !)

♧ silly things

♤ angst??

♤ animals (i cant draw them)

♡ furries (same reason as animals, i can't draw animals)

◇ nsfw

♧ really heavy gore???

♤ peoples hc's (if i use hc's it'll be my own hc's since i don't know much about others hc's and don't want to accidentely get something wrong !)

RULES !! (can i call this rules?)

- Requests will be made slowly, i really need patience for this

- I will close Requests when it gets too overwhelming for me but will of course work through all i got up until that point!

- If i do deem a Request something i end up not being able to handle, i'll try to get in contact with the person who sended the request to get something else worked on :>

EXTRA NOTES !!

- I will have an abscence soon for a couple of weeks so this will also slow down my time for Requests!

- to the above of being unable to do requests: i will try and draw everything i get send, though i'm still just a beginner artist in a way (i think?) so theres some things i'm not really too good at yet, i still wanna draw something regardless for everyone who send's me something so please don't get jumpscared when i do jump into dm's to explain this !
