#elden ring #miquella the unalloyed #promised consort radahn #I’ve been thinking about how despite all the talk of age of compassion… Miquella’s first spell as a god is an offensive incantation #with a wide af damage radius 💀💀💀#meanwhile Marika who built her age upon violence… her spells are all healing and defense buffs #and her first spell as a God is a little tree that heals a wide area #she was still trying to heal her ppl to the bitter end AND gunning for revenge. there’s a kind of heartbreaking honesty to it #the cruel irony in the DLC story is crazy #really show how badly Miq had strayed from his original path after forsaking Trina #then that meme pops in my head ajshsjhsjhs #now i do think the vow is two-way btw Radahn just got cold feet near the end #the only thing i dont like about the DLC is i cant draw jokes without explaining I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS i think their actions are valid !!#like having to pull up a whole lore presentation slide for this #yes i think it's funny as hell that Miq did show Radahn why he should not fuck around and find out

#my posts #gameblogging #liveblogging rain world #im playing as gourmand and decided to go this way to try it out #and i do like the area i really do #which is probably the only reason i haven't rage-quit already #like i know where i'm supposed to go but f u c k its so hard #it's like every screen has some challenge #whether it be platforming or a bunch of lizards or birds or centiwings or a thousand squidcadas bullying me #itll feel so good when i finally get through it #other than that this run has been great #gourmand is extremely fun to play as especially since combat is actually viable here #and i took a pretty interesting route which kind of made me avoid scavengers the entire run #until this area where i accidentally saved one of them #and now they seem to like me which has never happened before and i love it #ugh i love this game

#zelda #legend of zelda #ocarina of time #link #linktober #day 13: phantom #aquanutart #actually i meant to do this for day 2: temple but ...#i guess i could really stretch it and say it's day 15 favorite character (oot link)#i listened to the forest temple music while working on this until i couldn't take it anymore #i hear it in my head when i look at this #the haunted paintings are so cool. this temple is amazing #i love how it's not dark and claustrophobic all the time but also has these bright outdoor areas that are eerily overgrown and abandoned #and then it whiplashes you into stuff like the twisted hallways. it's so cool #i'm not really into spooky/scary stuff but eerie with a sense of implied history and mysteries from years ago? go for it #also the wallmasters teaching us all to deal with anxiety in adulthood #(that is: sense its lurking presence; dodge it when it falls; slash it apart but dont let it split into smaller ones that run away from you

ive been watching scruffys pikmin 4 playthrough (go check it out!!!!)

really an inexplicable train of thought but i feel like taako is the kind of person who in a modren era au would just decide to go to a shooting range and learn how to shoot a pistol for funsies, but would consider learning to spin the pistol all cool like they do in cowboy movies to be his first and foremost priority. like hes already bought a holster and the moment he is given a gun he immediately starts trying to twirl it. the instructor has to tell him to stop or theyll take the gun away from him. he keeps trying to lead the conversation back to it anyway because he really feels like theyre putting the cart before the horse here if hes learning how to shoot the gun before even knowing how to dramatically reholster it if he were to get in some sort of cowboy duel. hes actually really good at the shooting part but he gets kicked out of the class after his eighth guntwirling attempt in which he accidentally flicks the safety off mid twirl and shoots one of their light fixtures

#taz balance #taz taako #i dont know shit abt guns so i had to google a bunch of stuff to see if this even made sense #'surely they would have taken the gun away from him before attempt number 8' ok see heres how im imagining the timeline #moment he is given the gun he gets in two twirl attempts right off the bat before the instructor manages to stop him #attempts number 3-5 are done in a 6 second window in which the instructor makes the mistake of turning around and not looking at him #he is then told he needs to take this seriously and they can and will remove him from the range if necessary #attempt 6 he just does on instinct and hes like cmahn you cant count that one i didnt even mean to do it. did you see it tho it was rad #he is then told if he does it again he will be kicked out #youll never believe this but he does it again #the instructor tries to take the gun from him and he decides it is a really smart and good idea to back up into the main area #ie the area where not everything is made to be safe to shoot and there are light fixtures and people in there #and try to twirl the gun yet a fucking gain . which is the attempt where he shoots out a ceiling light #to be fair he is just a silly little guy

#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #kingdom of corona #scenery #my gif #this world has so many nice locations it was actually kinda hard to narrow it down to just eight gifs #i was surprised by how much detail they add within out of bounds areas like that waterfall in the 3rd gif #they did so good with this world every bit of it is gorgeous and fun to explore #sliding down that meadow of purple wildflowers for the first time was such a memorable experience #i love that we get to view the kingdom from afar and even explore the festival streets #it's very lively and beautifully decorated #i made sure to get a shot of the lanterns too. it's really cool that we get to have a battle at night like that #though i do wish there was an option to peacefully view them while being able to wander the town #it wasn't easy to get a clear shot of it without any party members getting in the way or enemies attacking me lol

I got a haircut today and I’m so giddy about it,,,, it is so difficult to explain to my mom why I feel so giddy about the undercut sideburns I got

#like they’re barely noticeable anyways because the hair on top covers most of it but like #they’re just gender to me. do you get it #like there’s something distinctly feminine to me about the longer sideburns he always leaves to ‘frame my face’#extra points for the lady at the hair place who was like ‘oh I didn’t realize girls could get their hair cut like that’#it’s a really small Chinese hair studio that every Chinese person in the area goes to so I’ve been going to this guy since I was a child #but like my Chinese is never good enough to explain what exactly I want lmao #and the nice uncle who does my hair is always really excited to do what he’s imagining and go like ‘there doesn’t that look beautiful’#and I never have the confidence to ask for the sideburns to be a bit shorter…..#fr tho I hate anxiety like why does getting my hair cut trigger my fight or flight response #my heart should not be pounding in the waiting area thinking about showing my hair cutter a picture.

oh okay heres one:

"sleepaway camp"= you go there for at least a few days, a week, sometimes several weeks, and sleep there, as opposed to a """camp""" where you go for the day and your parents or whoever picks you up afterward (those arent really camps, but like. idk when i went to "space camp" it was a weeklong but not sleepaway). in the U.S. at least, the typical image of a sleepaway camp involves staying in cabins, dunno how common it is/what it looks like in other countries.

for the first few i just mean like. not necessarily a stealth church camp, just like. idk, a camp where theres also an Assumption Of Christianity and just general vibes without being actually church camp. So, there might not be daily services and jesusy dedicatwd activities, but maybe theres still a prayer said over meals and shit. Which i assume might exist...

NOT christian at the time. but i also Wasnt Really Feeling It #i was mostly into it bc. camp.#...maybe i should have asked my parents if i could just go to one of the normal summer camps instead lmao #like the 6 week ones or st #that coulda been fun ....#so my answer is Its Complicated #i did like. participate in the jesus side of things. but i was also kinda knowingly faking it u kno?#i remember one time during a service i started having a bit of a panic attack (mostly bc of the MASSVE crowd. this was a huge ass camp)#but i still had to like. stay. still do everything. my pastor was being nice about it but still was like :( well you cant leave #i remember that was the day we did some shit outside w torches #like. carrying torches in a big procession like some sorta ritual thing ig. fuck if i know.#and i was like crying while following the procession and trying to stop #(the crying STARTED un the megachurch extremely loud giaant speaker GET PUMPED UP!!! area and continued to the torches)#thars my stringest memory from church camp aside from when i fcking DEMOLISHED the frozen t shirt game #(they gave a few ppl on stage frozen t balled up shirts and it was like 'okay first one to unball it and put it on wins!!!')#(and while the two boys i was up against started trying to tear it open with their hands i just #(in my cute lil butterfly shirt and pretty skirt started SMASHING IT AGAINST THE GROUND FULL BODY AAAUUGGHH and broke that shit)#(i was sooo proud of mysekf and my oastors wife thiught it was Unladylike of me but i fucjing won. the boys copied me after a sec)#(but it was too late i won :) anyway yeah like i said mixed feelings u kno. anyway go blue beetles woooo!!!!!

I thought ''be considered X where I live'' would make the most sense since 'tallness' or etc. is sort of #subjective to the people around you or your specific culture/area/etc. And if I just said ''I'm tall'' or ''I'm short'' then #the response might be 'well how do I define whether I'm tall or not?'' or etc. But then most people could probably look #at the people around them in daily life they interact with and compare based on that to get a more literal idea or something #..ANYWAY.. lol.. as usual just thought of some random thing and was like.. hrmm... i wonder what the most common #feeling about that would be.#personally I'm not even short but I just want to be really really tall... like... 7 feet tall or something. In a fantasy world type of way #of course. so like a super tall elf creature. it is all chaos and entropy. the thing is that the chaos and entropy make it beautiful and lovely.

yes, it's true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is terrifying. i have lived through some of the unfairness - i got born like this, with my body caving into itself, with this ironic love of dance when i sometimes can't stand up for longer than 15 minutes. i am a poet with hands that are slowly shutting down - i can't hold a pen some days. recently i found a dead bird on our front porch. she had no visible injuries. she had just died, the way things die sometimes.

it is also true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is wonderful. the sheer happenstance that makes rain turn into a rainbow. the impossible coincidence of finding your best friend. i have made so many mistakes and i have let myself down and i have harmed other people by accident. nature moves anyway. on the worst day of my life she delivers me an orange juice sunset, as if she is saying try again tomorrow.

how vast and unknowing the universe! how small we are! isn't that lovely. the universe has given us flowers and harp strings and the shape of clouds. how massive our lives are in comparison to a grasshopper. the world so bright, still undiscovered. even after 30 years of being on this earth, i learned about a new type of animal today: the dhole.

chance echoing in my life like a harmony between two people talking. do you think you and i, living in different worlds but connected through the internet - do you think we've ever seen the same butterfly? they migrate thousands of miles. it's possible, right?

how beautiful the ways we fill the vastness of space. i love that when large amounts of people are applauding in a room, they all start clapping at the same time. i love that the ocean reminds us of our mother's heartbeat. i love that out of all the colors, chlorophyll chose green. i love the coincidences. i love the places where science says i don't know, but it just happens.

"the universe doesn't care about you!" oh, i know. that's okay. i care about the universe. i will put my big stupid heart out into it and watch the universe feast on it. it is not painful. it is strange - the more love you pour into the unfeeling world, the more it feels the world loves you in return. i know it's confirmation bias. i think i'm okay if my proof of kindness is just my own body and my own spirit.

i buried the bird from our porch deep in the woods. that same day, an old friend reaches out to me and says i miss you. wherever you go, no matter how bad it gets - you try to do good.
