Alright seeing the Maddie and Caitlyn thing with full context I really don't get why twitter fans had a meltdown over it. They made it sound like Caitlyn was cheating or something when this was MONTHS after she and Vi split up.

Plus Maddie wasn't being sneaky or trying to steal Caitlyn from Vi, she was just the closest person Caitlyn had when everything was falling apart and she was questioning Ambessa's violent tactics.

Being with Maddie was probably the only time she didn't have to think about the outside world. Also the only time she smiled.

However... it's gonna be hella awkward for her now that Vi is back. But I am a drama whore and I can't wait to see it. Fingers crossed that things go well.

First of all Ashlie and Jon did was gross, but where Jon failed at literally everything Ashlie succeeded.

When the news dropped of what happened in 2017 Jon made a fucking video of him crying like a little man child, and then pressed charges (also doxxed himself like an idiot) WHICH IS INSANE BEHAVIOR. Even in his written respone he was only making excuses.

At that time I was in very close connection with him, I was on his build team, I played multiple games with him. He would come into vc and hang out with us for several hours, you could consider us friend maybe! I wouldnt.

But I was at the very least in a lot of personal servers.

So when things dropped I knew almost all of the behind the scenes BULLSHIT that was happening. How everyone waited for it to blow over and stuck by him. (I got kicked out of servers too cause people knew i was against him but I was still told everything by friends who were still in there)

Then February happened. And so much more, much worse things got exposed. From only his end. I won't mention who was involved, out of privacy reasons and because I dont want to drag them into this. But holy shit dude everyone left him after that. It was over, his gross behavior with minors (included me now that i think about, sir why are you calling me and my friends cute we are 15-) His awful and manipulative behavior with people he finds useful, how he treats his teams

. He never credited anything, I made his goddamn Dimensions s2 designs, Eddie made the skins. Only Eddie was mentioned, once on a stream.

Eddie also made designs and skins for Rosethorn, and got credited in video no less.

Its not that hard and yet!

The main point is

He was still acting in 2020, the incident was in 2017. And he was acting like this, in late 2020. Into 2021.

I wanted him to get better. I really did, I had been hyperfixated on this group of people for years it hurt a lot.

But its been almost three years and he infact has stayed the same!

He is a grown ass man acting like a toddler on a public twitter account, what makes this man some one to respect in any sort of way.

Theres so much more shit I know about this man, that I can't fucking say because of the people involved not giving me permission too. And I respect that. Thats their story to tell.

Now ashlie on the other hand.

Ashlie made a concise apology and owned up to her actions, shit she made sure not to happen again. She went to fucking therapy, she broke off that relationship first and has made so much effort to distance herself from that and apologize everyday of her life.

She went to therapy after breaking things off, and she went again after the callout just to double fucking check she wasnt a horrible person.

She initially handled everything that happened in 2017 in private, like youre supposed to do. Not have a public twitter meltdown. And in late 2020 still handled mostly everything privately. She wrote out a full explanation and apology that is still very visible on her yt channel, not her twt her full 100k subscriber yt channel

I THINK, THATS GROWTH and she should be respected for that. She's actively changed as a person from the 20yr that made mistakes

And what's crazy is that Max and Ross still make youtube videos with her.

Max and Ross, YKNOW. The people who made sure fucking Jinbop got arrested and stomp Sky's name into the fucking ground for the shit that Sky did. I 100% trust those two to make a decision about a person in their circle when theyre doing some FUCKED SHIT.

IN FACT, THEY DID DROP ASHLIE WHEN THE ALLEGATIONS CAME OUT. SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY KICKED OUT OF EVERYTHING INVOLVING THEM

And they came back. They came back and started making new things and videos with her, Ross is an active participant in almost all of her videos.

I think that speaks wonders about her.

Don't drag her name through the ground I respect that woman and all of her endeavors in the future, she has more than made up for the fact.

Jon is still an awful person, and I dont think he will ever change. He's had more than ample time to and acts like whinny child on Twitter. Actively tries to pull nostalgia bait on his dying yt channel and mocks his ex "friends'" work. I want him gone from the youtube sphere and to get an actual life.

What current X-men comics are you going to continue reading? I’m definitely dropping NYX but I have mixed feelings about everything else

I'm definitely keeping up with Exceptional X-Men and the Abjectiveless X-Men series! I'm pretty here for both writers, and I'm excited to see MacKay continuing developing this team dynamic. I know people aren't sold on the art, but I honestly don't mind it. The colouring isn't my favourite, but the art feels reminiscent of early digital comic art, which I find kind of charming. I'm a fan of the issues functioning as single stories, as opposed to large multi issue arcs, but that's purely a personal thing in how I prefer to read.

Exceptional X-Men I've been really excited by, I especially love the character Bronze and can't wait to see her develop. It feels unfair to compare it to Uncanny X-Men at this juncture, because we're only on issue 2 of Exceptional, but I like this group of kids more, they feel more grounded and like kids I could meet and get to know more. And I'm definitely excited to see how Eve L. Ewing will write Emma and Kitty as a black woman, I think that's a perspective that's really needed on both characters, so I'm really looking forward to this series! It's probably my favourite of the lot currently.

Uncanny X-Men just isn't for me, and that's fine. I'm not much of a Gail Simone truther (she's like Dan Slott to me where I just think deleting Twitter off her phone for even a month would do a lot of good) and none of those characters are really ones I particularly want to keep up with so it isn't something I'm keeping up with, but that isn't because it's bad, I'm just not the target demographic.

I think I'm probably gonna stop reading X-Force after this issue, that's how upset I actually am at the treatment of Nuklo. It feels incredibly ill-considered, which is shocking in a 2024 comic. Comics published in the 80s, while often difficult to read, at least have that excuse that information and tact around these things wasn't quite there, but having a bunch of heroes beat up a high support needs autistic man is genuinely really upsetting to me. We can do better. We deserve better. I know they're X-Force, and aren't meant to be standard heroes, but there wasn't even an acknowledgement that Nuklo is a high support needs autistic. And given the very real world experience of some autistic people getting attacked and sometimes killed by police in the middle of meltdowns, because of the complete lack of empathy towards us (which goes double for black autistic people), I find it really distasteful and upsetting that this was written, to be honest, and I feel really let down by Geoffrey Thorne by how poorly handled this was. I might give it one more issue to see if there's any acknowledgement of this, but I'm feeling pretty negative towards this series right now, and I feel let down by how few people seem to be bringing up Nuklo's autism. There was a chance here to do better than the past and try and be more empathetic to high support needs autistic adults, which is so often lacking, and that was ignored in favour of having a big adversity our heroes could hurt.

NYX I'll honestly keep reading out of morbid fascination, it feels so egregious it feels like it has to be leading up to some dismantlement and critique of Sophie's behaviour, but considering who the writers are, I won't hold my tongue for that either. Definitely on a "never buying a copy of" pile (although I can really only afford buying two of these consistently)

I wouldn't say I've been enjoying X-Factor but the reaction against it has been so over the top from certain people I'm honestly reading it out of spite. I'm gonna let them cook, I'm a little interested to see how things pan out. Hope Warren comes back but I like seeing Frenzy and I find that suicidal Grandmother really funny as a character concept, tbh.

Oh man, what else is there. Don't really care about Phoenix, it honestly just feels like various power feats than any actual character introspection work and I really don't care. I liked seeing Cosair but I'm not charmed enough by this take on Jean to bother reading on, to be honest. Dazzler was honestly disappointing, but in a boring way where I don't really have any larger complaints to make. Just kind of mid. I haven't read Sentinels yet but I've really liked the work of the writer on the current X-Men Infinity Comic so I'll probably read the first issue and decide if I want to keep going. I liked Storm. People kicking up a fuss about the Orchis shirt is honestly so silly to me, like Storm in this current iteration is not the character to be expecting bloody violence and revenge from. Read Wolverine instead chief. It's only the first issue, but I had fun!

I think that's about everything! A mixed bag, but there's so much that I think there's something here for everyone, which is the one positive of how bloated this lineup is, but I guess after how many damn X-Men titles we had during Krakoa it makes sense to keep the numbers high if they're selling.

I'm reading the collective meltdown of the swifties on Twitter over the news, and it's both funny and terrifying how much they are invested in a total stranger's private life to the point of crying because Toe just broke up. And he'll be the bad guy in any case, of course, because she can't do anything wrong. His already poor career is over before it starts, because he'll just be another more obscure ex, and I can't wait for all the accusations that will start coming out in the following months when she'll begin to write break-up songs.

My letter to Gumroad

Hello

It cannot be stressed how incredibly disappointed I am in Gumroad these last few weeks. It's not so much the support of NFTs as it is the way you treat your creators and anyone who disagrees with you.

I am a digital artist, and I make digital content for sale. Trust me, I totally understand the allure of NFTs and as a company that empowers artists to sell their work, providing a platform for non-fungible tokens just makes perfect sense! I get it! If the world, technology, and blockchain were better, I would love to do NFTs myself because I would love to sell unique rights to my digital works and not just another download.

It's not just people who think NFTs are ugly trading cards that are against it. NFT's are based on the blockchain ledger, which is by design an electricity-intensive process not because it NEEDS to be, but because electricity consumption is the basis of cryptocurrency scarcity. This incentivizes massive farms that do nothing but grind away useless calculations that do not help humanity or the planet, but just try for a lottery spot on the ledger.

Maybe one day non fungible tokens will be based on a sustainable digital ecosystem, but that is not happening now and it won't happen any time soon. Even proof-of-stake is still based on the corrupt crypto system.

Your main userbase is artists. I'm sure you've noticed by now that artists tend to be more liberal and environmentalist. I suppose it comes from sensitivity and being in tune with the world around you, plus facing adversity and finding strength in community. You say you're a tech company but you shouldn't be. You should be an art-enabling company. Artists are your customers, your sellers, and the lifeblood to your company so you should exist to better serve them and not whatever the hot profit is at the moment. If you leave behind morals for the sake of profit, you could figure in losing a chunk of the general population but the profits will be worth it right? But you don't serve the general population. You serve sensitive, moral artists who don't like NFTs. Do you want to become a platform of ugly monkey dollmakers? Or do you want to stay a platform of incredibly diverse artists?

Perhaps more disappointing than the cash grab of NFTs is how you treat your userbase. Your twitter meltdown was a petulant display of fake superiority and condescension. Your response to hearing public outcry wasn't to listen, or even wait to see how big the outcry was and consider how it would affect your platform. No, your response was to imply nay-sayers were ignorant and stupid, and that making fun of them made you look hip and cool. That's the narrative for NFT "bros" who operate much like a cult. Stomp down and mock "ignorant" naysayers as people who don't understand and want to stay poor. Because of course it's ok to mock people as long as they're the stupid ones, right?

This implies that people against NFTs now will have come around and be begging you to do NFTs after a year. Those silly ignorant masses! They'll be sorry later!

Is this even remotely professional? Shame on you. A junior high kid has more sense of people's feelings than whoever is running outreach for a major "tech company" as you call yourselves. This is just revolting.

This is extremely obvious, and then you say your email is mentioned "earlier in the thread" instead of providing it again. "is this true?" is so clearly not a humble "I may be wrong" concession, but just a "prove it" challenge to the angry backlash.

Look. I'm sure I've made plenty of grammar and spelling mistakes in this very email, but I'm one person and you're an entire company. In addition to the sneering, rude "Neener neener I can't hear you" message itself, the missing words in your sentence announce to the world that absolutely no one is proofreading these tweets. No one is doing damage control. You let the same party who started this mess respond defensively to people calling you out like a child covering their ears with their hands. People are talking, telling you what they think and instead of listening for the good of your userbase and your company, you throw a tantrum and then direct them to email you (privately) in order for you to acknowledge they have an opinion at all.

Your public flailing requires a public resolution. "We have no NFT plans" is not an admission that you messed up, and it doesn't tell people you heard them either. it just sounds like "Geeze calm down I wasn't gonna do it anyway." Do you understand how childish you sound? You need to own up to the horrible performance. Your reaction to backlash should be to listen, judge your actions for the good of your company and userbase, and then announce how the feedback has affected your plans. If it hasn't had any effect, say that with your whole chest.

If these admonitions are reaching a separate inbox then whoever ran the twitter thread, then I still mean "you" personally. Until you have publicly apologized for this fiasco and demoted or fired the twitter coordinator, they speak for and represent the entire company and everyone in it.

They NEED to be replaced one way or another, because even if their actions reflect everything gumroad stands for, you at least want to pretend you aren't throwing a kindergarten fit when someone disagrees with you.Your public brand is absolutely abysmal and you have way more cleanup to do than just "we have no NFT plans right now actually but maybe in the future ;)"

I hope the mass numbers of shops closing scares you into remembering that you are a people company, not a tech company. You sell artists' efforts, not graphics cards. I hope you're horrified enough to turn your business around and listen to the people who bring in your revenue, and not the idiot who has the twitter password and a subscription to some crypto trading podcaster.

Once again, shame on you. Maybe you'll get yourself together before a mass exodus of sellers finds a better alternative, but I doubt it. Good luck with your brand, and I hope the next tweet is an apology by a new spokesperson instead of more crypto evangelism.

I have seen many Jared fans shitting on Jensen bc Jensen is not the lead on a show and he's just gonna be a side character in The Boys, but Jared has his own show Walker and he is the lead there so that makes Jared more successful and an A-list actor. They were actually using the same arguments about SPN, saying Jared was the number #1 on the callsheet.

I can't begin to explain how wrong that is, and i can't begin to point out how wrong their opinions are. They think being on a failing show as a lead is the proof of success, they don't even realize that to a larger extent Jensen's career will get more recognition with The Boys (a successful show liked by the critics and got to be nomited for the Emmys and were praised, meanwhile Jared stands tried soooo hard to put Walker on the Emmy nominations... which was really ridiculous and an epic failure).

They think their echo-chamber Jared wank is the proof of realities and of world. They think just because they try so hard to make Walker seem good, that proofs that Walker is a successful show. Nevermind that outside of Jared stans' echo chamber, Walker basically gets no praise or recognition on the media or by the critics. They think just because they are stanning for Jared makes Jared truly the #number 1 best at anything!.... but the realities don't work like that. Any logical person with a brain could see that Jared's shitty mantrums and his twitter meltdown was pathetic and unproffessional. Outside of Jared Stans' ankle, people will look at Jared's behaviour and see how mess of a person he is.

Not to mention their attempt at making everything Jensen's mistake and trying to portray Jensen and everyone else as backstabbers. Oh, really? So, Jared gets to be the number1 all the same, gets to make everything about himself when it comes to SPN and everything else, but when Jensen gets to do something about SPN and his character (Dean), wooooo what a bad person Jensen is!!1!!1! Burn him at the stake!

It seems like they truly have a superiority complex going for them and it fits with the overall image of Jared's. He also tries to make everything about himself and be innocent UwU baby boy when in actuality he's basically a man child.

I can't wait to see Jared stans shitting on Jensen and Jensen fans once The Boys season3 is out. They will continue to spew bullshit about Jensen and start to invoke drama there as well and say 'how Jensen is a failure or not as successful as Jared because he's not a lead and does not have his own show'.

Their echo chamber will never end. They'll continue with excusing every one of Jared's shitty and obvious crappy behavior, and continue to just destroy everyone else's fun. Whether be about Jensen's role on The Boys and his production company Chaos Machine or his work with the prequel, or something else really.

So, get ready because we will see more of their wank, toxicity and shittiness in the coming days.

When it comes to Jared stans, look at their role model. Mimicry is the sincerest form of flattery and all, right? I think arrogant and having a superiority complex are perfect ways to explain them! 

I’m not involved with acting and never have been, outside of a sketchy audition but that’s not relevant! Being first on the call sheet means that you’re the first person being billed, right? And I don’t remember (it’s been a long time since I watched Supernatural) but I could have sworn that the credits said “Starring Jensen Ackles”? That could be wrong so I apologize for that one! 

I think all of this has been showcasing how different J2 are when it comes to decisions and strategy. Jensen (seemingly, I don’t hangout with him so wouldn’t know the deets) took his time with work post Supernatural. I know he announced it fairly early, but he didn’t start actually working for a while. Again, I don’t know the deets so he might have been working on this for months beforehand with Kripke. Now sure, it wasn’t a “starring role” and it wasn’t a show “made for him”, and I know the Jared stans love to bring that up and that Jensen is just a guest star and yadda yadda. But what better way to get your foot in the door and market yourself to other potential employers and show off your chops to some big-wigs, than to get a fairly big role on an already loved show that just so happens to have Emmy noms? 

On the other hand, you have Jared who was chomping at the bit the be a “lead” and a “star”, so much so that he replaced Jensen with himself as the role of Walker. Technically, him wanting to be the start was also exhibited in the finale and how that was handled, but you get what I mean. What did that get him? His stans being deluded into thinking that he’s more successful because he’s starring in his own #1 show. 

I can vouch for the fact that being outside of the fandom, I’m realizing just how little people actually care about J2 and Supernatural. Yes, they have big followings, but the fans act like they’re at the level of the Marvel actors or something.  It also doesn’t help that outside of the fandom, the general consensus is that Jared is a douchebag with a tragic hairline and a fake looking wife. He’s not the big star that everyone in his echo-chamber think he is. 

I wonder how the stans will react when everyone inevitably loves Soldier Boy and the articles that will be published about how great he is doing. I’m sure they’ll find something to try and use against him or to tear him down.

Look i barely ever post cause I dont usually feel like I have much to add to the conversation, but I can't stop thinking about the woman that died at the Capitol yesterday. I see a lot of people pointing out how fucking ridiculous and sad it is that BLM protesters gets brutalized everytime they try and defend their rights while these MAGA chuds can fucking ransack one of the most secure building in the world with almost no resistance and please, God, do not stop. Its become painfully clear to me that a lot of white America treats black peoples' humanity as a hypothetical up until there is a body on the ground and I would hope that the disparity in police response here can be illustrative to those people just how devastating that attitude is to every black person (and marginalized person more broadly) in concrete terms. I'm doubtful cause really what more does anyone need to see at this point but here's to hoping.

That said, I really cannot stop thinking about this woman that got shot because I dont think she thought she was ever in danger. She went to try and overthrow the fucking government of the (for now) most powerful nation-state in the history of the world, and I think she thought she would get away with it. And now, best I can tell, she is dead. Personally, I dont blame anyone for not having sympathy for her. Her actions indicate to me that she probably didn't have a lot of empathy for anyone that didn't live their lives to the standards she would impose on you. I think its fair to assume everyone in that crowd was, at minimum, a bigoted fascist willing to throw away the rights and dignity of their neighbors to preserve their own power and status.

But these people don't always come out of the woodwork like this. Hell, they never tried anything this dramatic before. Sure, they'll blow up a federal building or start a standoff with the feds of cattlegrazing rights out in the middle of knowhere, but to go this far, to actually threaten to materially stop democracy itself, is pretty fucking out there even for them.

She didn't need to die. And I dont mean the cops that shot her are in the wrong (outside of the normal ways that cops are wrong just for being what they are). None of those people needed to be there. They have lives. Shallow, shitty ones where they spend to much fucking time mad at people for having the wrong skin tone or speaking a different language but lives that keep them preoccupied enough that driving all the way to DC in Trump merch is a big fucking inconvenience that you have to get them motivated to overcome.

So Trump and all the worse fucking people alive spent the last four years, or really the better part of the last two decades spoon feeding these assholes every grievance, real or more often than not imagined, stirred them into a frenzy with lies that they damn well knew were lies, sat back, and waited. And now a woman is dead, democracy in America (what precious little we have, anyway) is seriously at risk, and all these MAGA losers are a teetering and the edge of a full-blown meltdown.

I'm seriously afraid that this only gets worse from here. The people at the Capitol yesterday thought they were saving the country. They were wrong but regardless, they have lost. I do not think they will take that lying down. I think that Mitch fucking McConnell will spend the next four years filibustering as much as he can, refusing to make government work so he can turn around to these people and say, "See, democracy doesn't work, at least not with Democrats in charge." And these assholes will believe it because they want to believe it so they will look around for the next wannabe autocrat and hold him up as the answer to all that ails them. And they'll be back, more organized, more motivated, with at least one martyr, and another four years of grievance and misinformation telling them their ends justify their means.

Anyone, from Trump, to McConnell, to Fox News to your racist grandma on Twitter egging these people on has blood on there hands, and it only gets worse from here.
