So i was looking into the canon romworld lore and, learning that spaceships cant do any warp speed travel bc they never developed it immediately had me thinking of mechi and his sister :(. Like, i'm just imagining the angst of mechi going home with kwahu, thinking its only been like 10 years and its actually been 100 or something bc cryosleep.... could definately be a reason why the two would go for the ideology or anomoly ending

Yeah, it would make for a very heartbreaking story if Yamka wasn't every bit as stubborn and reckless as her brother. She followed him all the way to the Rim and dragged their parents along as well. They're on the planet somewhere, but as Mechi and Kwahu aren't particularly inclined to build hotels for interaction with other factions, it may take us a long time to encounter them (if we ever do).

I'm sure Mechi imagines that their reunion will begin with a long-awaited hug, but Yamka is absolutely going to punch him first. She was not happy that he decided to go galavanting about the galaxy without her, and she'll probably be torn between yelling and crying when (if) they do meet again. Mechi will be suitably chastened, I'm sure. Maybe Kwahu, too, even though he technically never did anything wrong.

ive seen a lot of people hc her as a teacher / professor so i!! think that suits her pretty well. specifically as someone who studies + specializes in different types of craft (that would be why shes so proficient in multiple craft spells. also how she was able to figure out the loops stuff, AND to find something that could prevent siffrin from looping back).

post canon i am not sure… i am always torn between how the party would handle things post canon. obviously they would keep travelling for a bit, odile alongside her family without the stress of. constant sadness encounters + a king to kill lol. i think maybe she would get to take her time, reeaally get to know vauguardian culture when not within. a crisis. as was her original intention.

eventually. EVENTUALLY. when the family settles down somewhere (i am a “they all get a big house together” believer lol) she would get back into craft stuff. maybe go back into teaching too—surely people would be eager to hire a saviour. especially though i think it would be neat of her to try looking into wish craft etc, as a long forgotten form of craft. to satisfy her own curiosity, for siffrins sake, or just as a way of preserving the countries culture in whatever ways possible.

The Elliott% speedrun has ended on Winter 3 of year 1 at 27:49 real time. My spite is not satisfied, I think I can do it even faster. I'm pretty sure what killed it was that instead of squids, I bought a cheap lobster from the traveling merchant and raised them in my fish pond. I picked the beach farm, managed to get my fish pond in the second week of spring, leveled up fishing and picked the trapper achievement that makes crab pots cheaper for more access to lobsters, but the Lobster Route really didn't pan out due to bad RNG and the fish pond taking way too long to level up to a point where I could fish them out, but if I'd reset the morning of the traveling merchant until she had a squid I could have probably sped it up.

If I wanted to, because I'm doing it on Switch and it hasn't gotten a patch yet, I could just gift him a bunch of random items and rack up the relationship points rapidly, but exploiting a bug to do it feels a little disingenuous (it might be funny though).

i hadn't really thought about what lando wants outside of someone to hold him down and fuck him like he was always made to believe omegas get to be fucked. they're still f1 drivers in this obviously, so i think probably he doesn't actually want to get pregnant because he values his career and wants to win a WDC and hates the idea of his body changing in a way that he'd have to fight hard to reverse after. probably another reason people have always assumed he hates being an omega and doesn't want to think about it! lando simply knows he wants to submit and is frustrated that no alpha has ever like... just done that for him without him having to go through the mortifying ordeal of asking for it.

back when this was gonna be like a 1.5k prompt fill on tumblr alone, there was an intro paragraph that explained more of lando's mental backstory, but i cut it to make the build of the fic more, like... idk, punchy? anyway:

But his presentation hadn't gone as he thought it would. Lando had figured all along that the itch under his skin would leave when his body started putting out the proper hormones to justify it. He'd thought - he'd assumed - that once that place in his hindbrain had settled, that he'd just know how to get the things he needed. That the restless desire to be good, to be good enough, would finally be met with the knowledge on how to do it. Half the reason he'd figured all along that he'd be an omega was that he'd figured being one would fix the things that felt off in his brain. Like once he was a proper omega, he'd feel okay. Normal. baby is just BOTHERED that he has all the omega desires but still feels embarrassed about them when it feels like every other omega is just coasting along getting held down and ordered around because they're an omega. and he's frustrated that it feels so much tougher for him to obtain those things.

ANYWAY. more backstory than you asked for, but uh. if the question is 'does lando have a breeding kink?' i think the answer is actually still yes. he just doesn't practically want a baby? that being said, once he's bonded and happy and less psychologically fucked about his heats, and they're knotted and he can see the little round of his own tummy..... and he starts thinking about a little bby that's half him and half oscar.......... he has the hormones.......

okay i must've never spoken to shadowheart right after wyll's transformation before because i don't recall ever seeing this dialogue... this alone has singlehandedly gotten me interested in shadowheart/wyll.

(The Diving Suit fiasco is so interesting to me, because while League Viktor is canonically against mind control, he also designed something like that. Like, that disparity is fascinating to me.

(My own personal interpretation/HC of that whole thing is that League Viktor sees "mind control" as "directly and completely overriding someone's will and leaving them powerless and unable to consent". The Diving Suits would have only removed the diver's ability to feel fear-which, while still really sketchy and rife with potential for exploitation, doesn't technically override a person's thoughts, feelings (mostly), and desires. And to add to that, anyone who used that suit would theoretically know what they were getting into and thus have consented to it.)

(That said, it was still a sketchy as hell concept that was probably never going to fly with the Council, and I think a lot of problems could've been avoided if he gave the "fear suppression" switch to the divers instead of the supervisor.))

i mean i get it because it's not. technically mind control, or at least not at first glance. And in theory, in some ideal world where companies carried about the lives and consent of their workers, the divers would informed and have to sign a consent form. In theory, the ability to remove emotions like fear or anxiety for dangerous tasks where lives are at stake could be very beneficial. like the fear a surgeon feels when performing may make his hands shake and could cost the patient's life. Temporarily blocking out that fear could solve similar problems.

it is, however, incredibly short sighted and lacks the forethought about how it could easily be exploited and abused by other people. even if the control was given just to the divers, it could still be used for nefarious purposes. and piltover and zaun are not exactly well known for their proper treatment of the working class it is FULL of corruption and hatred towards the poor. i mean like. the chembarons alone are committing fourteen worker's rights and OSHA violations every hour! there is no way in hell it would be implemented well in our world, let alone theirs.

in viktor's defense, it was just a concept. sketchy as hell? yeah. was it ever gonna go well with the council? probably not, but he hadn't even presented it yet. (and lets be honest, if it was anyone from Piltover proposing the idea, they would've gotten a stern talking to, slap on the wrist, maybe a suspension. but since its a disabled man from Zaun whose already "caused problems with the academy", he didnt stand a chance).

agree, I doubt he'd listen/care. I was trying to say that it saddens me that he looks forward to his letters so much and now he'll get an influx of people trying to lecture him. I read a few things here and there and I hope it's all bark and no bite tbh.
