Reader stands up for Nesta during the family dinners that they do end up going to, and doesn't let her take shit over how she reacted to her trauma- and lets the IC know how incompetent they were in helping Nesta. (Pre acosf stuff cause fuck that I'm not reading the book anytime soon lol)

Isaac's "When?" is so great here. I'm not a fan of Godbrand, I'm fine with what happens to him, totally deserved it. But this moment from Isaac has made me stop and laugh and rewind repeatedly. Just completely deadpan, maybe a lil annoyance. It's the only proper response to Godbrand in this moment, cause his entire existence makes me 1000000% sure he smells like you would not believe.

And like... Vikings actually had decent hygiene, didn't they? Or am I getting them confused with Celt again? Regardless, everyone says Trevor smells, but I look at Godbrand and I can almost see stink on him. Idk, maybe it's the Autism, maybe it's just me projecting cause he is the 4th worst. After Carmilla, the ginger who's name i forgot but she basically assaulted Hector, and the priest from season 1 who started this whole thing.

Hey @galaxystew, and the other librarians in my orbit, what are your feelings on separated kid and teen library spaces with 'no adults allowed' rules?

(In contrast to a more open sections/a gradated space, where seating either isn't tied to specific sections, or is otherwise open to anyone.)

I kinda hate them, but I want to know if I'm missing something major.

Issues I have:

The increased segmentation makes it harder for people with 'abnormal' reading habits to comfortably get books without judgement. (People with limited reading skill in English, adults that like child-friendly content, kids that want to read 'above' their age level, etc.)

They contribute to the destructive idea that adults interacting/existing near children or teens is dangerous.

They contribute to the idea that adult sections are dangerous for teens, limiting what some teens feel comfortable exploring.

Anxious, autistic, OCD, etc. adults may need to convince themselves that they're allowed to enter and pick out books for their own kids.

They make it difficult for people with low mobility to use some spaces.

The ones I've seen have often been precursors to more draconian policies aimed at keeping homeless people out of the library (though that may just be because I'm in a racist, classist city that's looking for every excuse).

I admit to being biased. I find they increase my anxiety about accessing spaces. I'm really angry with the library in my area that most prominently has these types of spaces, so I'm more likely to find fault.

(And I, personally, think that a YA section [given the content I usually see there] would have done more to scare me away from adult lit than the occasional 'middle age man having an affair with a teenager, featuring surprise sex scenes' books that I had to navigate as I moved away from the kids section. But I recognize that the majority of older kids/younger teens aren't aroaces that find mild romance to be one of the most squicky things around. So this isn't about whether there SHOULD be teen and kid sections, but whether they should be for teens only.)

so i don’t have the very first sims/screenshots that i made in this game because i’ve been playing it since i was a kid (i literally have the disk of this game which tells you how long i’ve been playing this game) and so i’ve changed computers, so i’ll just go with the first screenshot i posted to tumblr on my old account!

2022 vs 2023

yeah i guess you could say my sim style has changed a bit since i first started my tumblr 😭. the picture on the left was a sim i made of strawberry shortcake and tbf i don’t hate her, but i defo prefer my newer sims a lot more. this was also when i was literally *just* getting into custom content, like for years i played the game completely vanilla.

A lil mini comic about “Turles of a Different Kind” Leo getting his first job in the Yokai world. And drawing my version of this au’s Todd.

And then Leo keeps the same job for like 3 years. He likes it.

And Todd looks out for Leo the best he can. He doesn’t ask many questions about Leo’s family (mostly because Leo won’t answer them, and seems uncomfortable when it is brought up), but he does watch Leo’s patterns pretty well.

For example, Leo will often do shopping at the grocery store after work. The usual things, like food and hygiene products etc, but sometimes he grabs some odd treats, which Todd assumes is for Leo and his family. So Todd always makes sure those treats are well stocked. Sometimes over-stocking on them on purpose to offer to Leo for free or at a discounted price.

Anyways, I think it’s cute aaaahhhhhhh TTwTT
