Maybe a hot take but I think a mid or decent enough adaptation is way worse than a bad one

reason the first: fans will reject a bad adaptation, and the original source material will remain king

reason the second: you get way fewer people who only watch the adaptation and never check out the book, because everyone is shouting at them that they need to read it because the show/movie is bad

reason the third: bad adaptations eventually get the chance to be remade closer to the source material

reason the fourth: I have never gotten into a stupid argument with someone who insists on sticking to adaptation canon over the source material if the adaptation is bad

Reader stands up for Nesta during the family dinners that they do end up going to, and doesn't let her take shit over how she reacted to her trauma- and lets the IC know how incompetent they were in helping Nesta. (Pre acosf stuff cause fuck that I'm not reading the book anytime soon lol)

2022 vs 2023

yeah i guess you could say my sim style has changed a bit since i first started my tumblr 😭. the picture on the left was a sim i made of strawberry shortcake and tbf i don’t hate her, but i defo prefer my newer sims a lot more. this was also when i was literally *just* getting into custom content, like for years i played the game completely vanilla.

A lil mini comic about “Turles of a Different Kind” Leo getting his first job in the Yokai world. And drawing my version of this au’s Todd.

And then Leo keeps the same job for like 3 years. He likes it.

And Todd looks out for Leo the best he can. He doesn’t ask many questions about Leo’s family (mostly because Leo won’t answer them, and seems uncomfortable when it is brought up), but he does watch Leo’s patterns pretty well.

For example, Leo will often do shopping at the grocery store after work. The usual things, like food and hygiene products etc, but sometimes he grabs some odd treats, which Todd assumes is for Leo and his family. So Todd always makes sure those treats are well stocked. Sometimes over-stocking on them on purpose to offer to Leo for free or at a discounted price.

Anyways, I think it’s cute aaaahhhhhhh TTwTT
