"chaotic bisexual-" i don't find this particularly encourages me to read the book, actually. i might anyway, because of the concept (and in a partial hope to prove my preconceptions wrong), but i think that a mistake was made somewhere in the marketing stage
#like market in whatever way works#maybe some people like that#and i make chaotic bisexual jokes on here (i'm not actually that chaotic i'm just stupid but that's not the point)#i don't like sexuality being reduced to personality traits. i don't like 'oh? bisexual? chaotic/edgy' or 'oh? pan? bubbly and kind'#yes there are people who fit into those stereotypes but it's very much not everyone#isn't how sexuality words#works#and it's annoying enough in fandom spaces (i'm thinking about one specific character no it's not who you may expect#or maybe you do expect it to be her)#because while there can be differences in bisexuality and pansexuality (note: not for everyone but for some people#such as myself yes)#which is why both need to be represented#people are not taking those into account when they're saying if a character is bi or pan#circling back to this book#it feels a lot like it's in that admittedly very online train of thought#where sexuality is not a neutral aspect of someone's identity that defines a lot of their experiences#but exists as a result of their personality because they already behave in a certain way#so the next logical step is bi!!#it annoys me#and i'm aware. this is not a real problem to have#and i am overreacting#but also consider#this is my blog#i am so sorry to the people who decided to follow me based on my posts that blew up this is a rough one for you#i will not judge you if you leave

Y'know sometimes I wonder what Ras reaction was to the Justice League. Like he practically offered Bruce the chance to be one of his generals, straight up offered for him to be his heir, and was turned down.
Do you think he's offended. Because oh, so his organization isn't good enough, but that merry band of idiots is?!

IF YOU ARE A SONIC FANARTIST!
Ok, so I WAS going to contact artists individually and privately, but that was before I realized there would be literally hundreds of artists.
The Youtube channel Super Hedgehog Bros is reposting and monetizing art from HUNDREDS of Sonic artists. In 3 videos alone, all posted within the last week, they have used art from over 100 artists. Their channel is monetized, they are making money from views.
100 artists from 3 videos. The channel has over 400 videos posted. They have over 60k subscribers.
If you're a Sonic artist, especially if you make comics, and you don't want your work reposted for someone else's monetary gain then you should probably have a look and consider if you want to do a copyright claim. Maybe let your friends know too, if you know they care about this sort of thing.
It's literally impossible for me to contact everyone about this, I just need to hope this post finds at least some of the people it matters to!
#Sonic the hedgehog#I really don't know how to let people know about this#Am I overreacting? I don't want drama#But I'd want to know if someone found my art being used like this too...#Sonamy#Silvaze#Sonaze#Shadamy

Damian’s side of AITA: Am I overreacting.
Y/N’s side
Damian: AIO when my twin sibling that I would lay my life for trick me into hide and seek just to get away? I was ranting about getting the newest swords and katanas when my twin has suggested to play hide and seek in our home. We haven’t play hide and seek in ages when we were little so I was excited. When I closed my hides I heard my sibling run off. When the counting was over, I checked every place. High and low before I went to the bat-computer to check their location only to see that they weren’t in the manor at all. I frowned feeling sad as I just wanted to hang out with them. I got so sad I cried over not being to hang out with them when I should not cry at all.….so my question is….

another note on the premise of dot and bubble being a bait and switch: the black mirror episode nosedive (one of my favorite tv stories ever) has a protagonist named lacey pound, who is a young white woman with bangs. dot and bubble features lindy pepper, who is also a young white woman with bangs. both episodes include pastel colored and highly stylized clothing and environments. nosedive constructs a powerful satirical critique of influencer culture and social media; but in dot and bubble’s case, the criticism is a shallow and gimmicky imitation.
the point of dot and bubble is for you to expect a nosedive and a lacey pound—but instead you get an actual fucking white supremacist. and that is what the episode is really trying to say. whether you’re a person of color or not, whether you had any suspicion about the lack of poc in the utopia or the way lindy treated the doctor and ruby, you are forced by that ending to reckon with the complete dissolution of the story you expected to experience. and i am white! so i don’t want to assume the experiences of people of color. but i do have to wonder if that dissolution is even just a fraction of the betrayal so many people of color could have felt, how ncuti gatwa could have felt, how freema agyeman could have felt, when the fandom suddenly decided that their stories weren’t worth their respect or attention.
#doctor who#dw spoilers#doctor who spoilers#dot and bubble#am i overreacting? or reading too much into it? maybe#but idk. seeing this episode and then the response to it has set me off#i want it to be discussed for what it actually is.#maybe i’m incorrect about what it is because i’m not the writer or a poc#but still. discussion is good.#black mirror

Today's fic snippet is from the QuinFox Rebellion AU again. It's a good palette cleanser to work on when I need something lighter <3
Luke is rambling on, some story about a time he got jumped back on Tatooine. "…and then Mr. Glory told me to run home so he could close up the bar, but I knew he was really gonna go throw the body in the Sarlaac pit—that's what you do, you know. I offered to help, but he was an old soldier from the wars and said he could do it himself. I think he was friends with Ben?" Fox's head whips up from where he'd been dozing against Quin's shoulder, the Jedi tensing slightly in response. "Mr. Glory?" "Yeah!" Luke replies, sunshiny as ever. "Weird name, but half the names on Tatooine are fake and a lot weirder. He actually looked kinda like you, General Fox. But he had a nasty scar around his eye—shrapnel, I guess—and a weird mustache—" That motherfucker—
#cody (trying to hunt down luke): i feel a sudden sense of dread. weird.#fox (did not know cody was alive): I Am Going To Turn Him Into Shoes#quin: maybe that's an overreaction babe.#mustache cody my beloved <3#luke skywalker#commander fox#fic snippet#rebellion-era quinfox fic

the lovely @sightkeeper requested either their eldritch horror aziraphale (from their amazing comic GO READ IT) or happy magician aziraphale, so i kind of combined them and drew a VERY ANGRY magician eldritch horror aziraphale???? LMAO
i've been thinking about 1941 recently, and i had so much fun thinking about what could have happened if eldritch aziraphale did not think to do a magic trick when they were caught red-handed in the dressing room. perhaps it might have gone a little pear-shaped. 👀
#good omens#side note i am always and i mean always thinking about eldritch horror aziraphale going 'i wont let you do this to me' in 1793#was shaking in my BOOTS#we love a not-angel who overreacts#aziraphale#crowley#ineffable husbands#2024 art#ask

I’ve seen some posts that are variations of “I wish they’d just queerbaited me instead” and while I’m sure most of them are jokes, it’s still rubbing me the wrong way.
I first read Good Omens when I was about 15 years old. At the time I was closeted, and extremely depressed. I knew I was feeling a lot of things that I wasn’t “supposed” to be feeling, and that I wasn’t feeling other things that I thought I should be feeling. I knew I was different, but I hadn’t figured out exactly how yet. Good Omens came into my life during this time, and it spoke to me. Crowley and Aziraphale’s relationship was not defined, but the queerness was obvious, just beneath the surface. And even beyond them, it was a book about choosing love. Adam chooses his love for his family and friends and Tadfield over being the antichrist. Anathema chooses a life with Newt over Agnes’ predictions. Crowley and Aziraphale choose their love for the world, for humanity, and for each other, over their duties. It’s against the rules. It’s deviant. But it’s the right thing to do. Love, in every form, is always right, that’s what I learned from Good Omens as a sad repressed queer teen. And I fucking loved it. I saw myself and my own struggles in that story.
When the first season of the show came out, there were a lot of accusations of queerbaiting thrown around, but I never saw it that way. It’s always been a story drenched in queer themes and motifs, intentional or not. Would it be nice to see the angel and demon kiss? Of course. But I didn’t need it. I was happy with the story the way that it was.
And then season two came out, and honestly? I underestimated how much blunt textual queerness would mean to me. And I’m not just talking about Crowley and Aziraphale. All the queerness. Maggie and Nina. The magic shop owner and his spouse. Beelzebub. The story of Beelzebub and Gabriel falling in love and choosing each other over their respective sides, which took those queer themes already present and doubled down on them. Even little things like Crowley offhandedly saying “actually not either” to “you’re a good lad” took my breath away.
The ending was heartbreaking, but it was heartbreaking because it felt so real. It tapped into a specifically queer pain, the pain of repression and fear, and how easy it is to give into the desire to simply fit in, and how that can tear apart our relationships.
It truly, sincerely, means so much to me. This story that I’ve loved and seen myself in for over a decade, has just said back to me, loudly and utterly unapologetically: yes, you are a part of this story. yes, it’s for you.
So, no. I wouldn’t have preferred to be queerbaited.
#idk I know I am way overreacting to JOKES#but I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about this anyway#so this post probably would’ve come out in some form eventually regardless#good omens#good omens 2#good omens spoilers

One thing I feel like people don't understand is Charles shooting one of the poachers. I see so many people saying how he's only standing up against poaching and animal abuse in general. I see people say he was cruel and cold.
But they're ignoring a huge part of real-world history; the fact that bison hunting was many natives' livelihood, what kept them fed and warm in the winter. Charles even mentions at the very beginning how important bison were to not only their culture but their very survival, and the mass killing and poaching of bison was a deliberate, calculated attempt to wipe out indigenous populations. Bison hunting was strongly encouraged by the government.
And sadly, it worked.
This is why Charles's rage feels, at minimum, somewhat justified. He's staring genocide straight in the face and he feels nothing but pure disgust and seething anger. I can't blame him for reacting the way he did.
#indigenous usamericans absolutely feel welcome to add onto this as I'd love to hear and learn more of that perspective#i am white non-indigenous american. feel free to correct me if there's something im not quite getting right#but I do think this is a CRUCIAL point that influences why charles is so upset about this. it's literal attempted genocide#genocide tw#charles smith#and it upsets me that more people don't recognize this. people even getting mad at charles for what he did saying he overreacted#i think his reaction was understandable

This might be a hot take or whatever but I don't get why everyone is losing their shit that Ulterior Motives was found in a porn film. I feel like everyone is saying how disappointed they are that it was found there but like-
Can't we just be happy it was found?? And plus, porn films aren't inherently bad. Sure 'ooh sex movie' or whatever but I don't see anything that bad about it.
Unless the movie is problematic then we shouldn't be disappointed about it's source.
#is this because people are overreacting or am i just asexual#ekt#everyone knows that#ulterior motives#lost media
