OKAY
I think I understand how ill know if my rocks are ready for step 2 now
I checked on them again and some of them have a noticeably different texture in places than they had yesterday
Which is to be expected obviously but I wasnt sure if I would be able to tell but for once being super sensitive to different textures pays off. While they mostly still feel like a very high grit sandpaper, some parts of a few of them are noticeably smoother
So im just gonna try to leave them alone for a few days....mostly cuz im gonna run out of gloves if I keep checking every day
Anyway took a few pictures while I was down there but I dont like sitting on the basement floor so i was squatting and also had the hall light on upstairs since I was about to go to bed and was trying to move kind of fast
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I only took pictures of 2 of them
I think the top one is starting to get some details showing through the brown outer shell???
And that jasper has gotten so tiny compared to how big it was when it went in. I still like it but I wish id taken it out of stage one earlier than the others cuz it shrunk a bit more than I wouldve liked
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I really wish id taken it out after that second picture
I'll have to find another one like it and try again sometime. Obviously they won't look exactly the same but...at least I've taken a lot of pictures of it over the course of this

ellie x f!loser!reader
a/n: so basically i was on janitor ai because i’m genuinely an addicted freak and this was inspired by a chat i had :3 im also replaying tlou2 bc i cant stop i need it i need it i need it. also i think a LOT more things make sense now, so i think you should replay after u play it.
brief summary: ellie is ur big sister’s best friend! but, unfortunately you’re dubbed an “annoying little sister,” your sister’s not home, ellie’s high when she comes over, and ur a loser nerd who can’t deal with confrontation :(. (au if it wasn’t obvious!)
tw / DUBCON?, ellie is very mean, degrading, praise, pet names, reader is a virgin, small age gap if you really squint, porn without a plot, rushed sex, scissoring (tribbling?), use of y/n i think…
⋆ ˚。⋆ ꪆৎ ˚
with a grunt, you pulled your pajama pants up the rest of the way. you were headed to the door after hearing seven hard knocks on the door.
“hello—“ you began, cutting yourself off when you see ellie, your sister’s best friend. “ellie?” you glanced behind her, then behind yourself. “she’s not home right now.”
“yeah, yeah,” she slurred, and your lips went into a thin line from her state, so obviously intoxicated. “she told me come ‘n wait. she’s gettin’ her shit rocked, ‘r whatever. she dropped me off ‘ya know? said you wouldn’t mind. you don’ mind, do you?”
being such a caring person had its ups and downs. you weren’t fond of ellie, and she wasn’t fond of you. she had been your biggest bully throughout the entirety of middle and high school. but, you couldn’t deny her entry. she could get hurt or worse, and you didn’t want that. or to be responsible of it.
you adjusted your glasses, eyeing her with a thoughtful look. her eyes were halflidded, red, and she smelled disgusting. she eyed you right back, her stare almost intimidating.
“no, ellie. i don’t mind,” you said begrudgingly, stepping aside to allow her in. you watched her make her way around the all-too-familiar home while you shut the door. you mentally prepared yourself for tending to her needs; you knew she’d tell if you hadn’t. you also prepared for the anger she would inevitably feel. she was an angry person when intoxicated. you leaned against the door and watched her opened the fridge.
“what do you got?” ellie asked, shutting the refrigerator and looking at you. “what’re you gonna make?”
“i don’t know,” you responded and took a glance at the stove. you hadn’t noticed what she took from the fridge, only gasping when you heard the familiar sound of a beer opening. “hey, hey, hey! that’s my dad’s!” you watched ellie shrug and give you a “so what?” look. “stop it, that’s not good for you!” you rushed over, reaching for the beer, but her rough hand kept you in place as she chugged it down. “ellie, stop! you’re already high, that’s gonna make it worse; ellie, stop!”
“and what the fuck do you know?” she asked as she slammed the beer bottle of the counter, “you stupid fuckin’ loser, what the fuck is wrong with you? i’ll do what-the-fuck-ever i want. you’re such a fucking lame-ass, you won’t even take a lil sip o’ this thing,” she stuck the beer can up to your mouth, which you turned away from, “that’s what i thought, you stupid bitch. you’re probably a virgin, too, huh? you don’t even try- nobody even tries for you. no man, no woman, no whatever. never been in a relationship, never been in fuckin’ nothing. you are such a fucking loser.”
your jaw was slack, almost looking like a fish out of water as it tried to shut and open.
“you’re too high for this,” you said slowly, still shocked at her words. you took a step back, your back pressing against the island counter.
“you don’t know the first thing about ‘too high,’ jackass. bet you never had a dick in you before. too busy studyin’ your stupid fucking books to be the good girl you are. can’t even do this because you’re always bein’ a teacher’s pet, always bein’ a goody-two-shoes, know it all, fucking bitch. probably got a few toys like the desperate freak you are. maybe a dildo? nah, you want that pussy t’stay tight, huh?” you thought it couldn’t get worse than the insults before, but this was insane. your eyes were wide, shock filling your features.
“ellie!” you gasped in horror and embarrassment, “i— i’m calling my sister!”
“you’re a fucking snitch!” she giggled, pointing at you. “she doesn’t care what the fuck i’m saying to you. she’s too busy slutting herself out to give a fuck about your pathetic ass, baby.”
“go away, ellie,” you whimpered out, eyes at the ground. you attempted to push past her, but her hands gripped your wrists. “please.”
“you’re not getting rid of me,” she growled, her beer-breath filling your nostrils, “you’re a goddamn joke. i’m not going anywhere ‘til i’m good ‘n ready. you just know i’m right.” she leaned in, her lips brushing your cheek as she whispered deep into your ear, “you just want my hands all over you, don’t you, y/n? i’ve seen how you watched me. you want a real woman’s hands on ‘ya. all of over your pretty body, hm?”
“no,” you whispered right back, your brows furrowed. this was your sister’s best friend. this was just… wrong; you couldn’t explain it, but it wasn’t right. and she was high! she didn’t know what she was doing, what she was saying, but her touch felt so…
“don’t you lie to me,” she huffed her breath hot in your ear, “you wanna get touched bad. you know you do. you want my hands slidin’ down your pretty panties and touchin’ that clit. make you cum all on my hand. you want that, don’t you?”
“ellie,” you almost moaned out at her dirty talk, your brows knitted together in conflict. your hand went to cover your mouth as her hand slipped beneath the waistband of your pjs and simultaneously your underwear.
“let it out, baby,” she told as your hand muffled a broken moan, “you’re already so, so wet for me. this pussy’s just beggin’ for my touch, huh?” her finger-pad ran across your clit and your knees buckled. she giggled in response, a lazy grin plastered on her face. “mm, ya feel that? this’s what y’ve been missin’ out on with all that nerdy bullshit you do.” her fingers slipped easily inside you, making your eyes roll with pleasure; another moan escaped your throat. “y’so tight. just like i thought.” she pulled her fingers out, quickly giving them a lick before tugging your bottoms down. “oh, baby…” she moaned at the sight, licking her lips as she took you in. “look at that pretty pussy. mhm, ‘n all f’r me, huh?” she knelt down, getting face to face with your cunt. “answer me.” she kissed at your inner thighs. all you could do was watch, trembling under her dominating touch.
you yelped, jumping in surprise as she bit your thigh harshly.
“i said answer.”
“y-yes! all for you, ‘s all for you,” you whimpered, whining as her mouth finally met with your drooling pussy. your resolve had slipped away, only thinking about that needy, touch-starved vulva of yours. “oh, ellie…” she grinned as she watching you come undone, your fingers slipping into her hair and tugging at it. she lapped and lapped at your clit, tongue running circles around the sensitive bud. she gave it a last kiss before she pulled away, smirking at your distress.
“preview, baby. all that was. go to your room, m’followin’ you.”
you were anxious to walk, taking just a moment before giddily rushing to your room. the masculine woman easily followed your direction, shutting the door hard behind her as she pulled you down to the bed with her. her hands were immediately on you as you lay atop her, caressing and running down your back, cupping your ass and squeezing.
“you’re so ready for me baby, aren’t you?” she asked with a small smirk playing at her lips. “you wanna grind that pretty pussy on mine, don’t you?”
“i-i’ve never done this before, i-i don’t know what to do,” you admitted, although she already knew your circumstance.
“makin’ me do all the work, you pretty lil pillow princess?” she teased, that same lazy grin on her face. she easily flipped you over, watching your eyes widen in surprise. “god, how are you so perfect…” she moaned softly to herself, her hands running down your sides, down your legs, and down your calves. she reached her jeans, unbuttoning them and tugging them down quickly. you gulped as you eyed her pubic mound, her dark hair trimmed finely.. she lifted your hips up, appreciating your vulva once more. she used her thumb to lift up your clitoral hood, bending down to meet the pearl with her tongue. “mm, god, i can’t get enough of you. pull your shirt up, wanna see those tits ‘ve been wantin’ to see.” you did as you were told, quickly pulling your nightshirt up and showing her your breasts. a groan left her throat as her hands reached out to touch them, tweaking and rolling your nipples between her fingers.
“please,” you whined, your head tilted back. “please, ellie…”
“oh, i know you’re so needy, huh? never done this before? never been touched so good by another girl b’fore, huh?” ellie teased once more, and all you could do was nod. it was all true. “say it, baby. tell me how much of a loser you are.”
with an embarrassed grimace, you obliged, “i-i’m a big loser. ‘ve never, ever gotten laid ‘n i wanna… oh!” you gasped as you felt the sensation of her pussy meet yours. “ellie…” her hips ground against yours, your clits bumping and running across each other.
“you like this? my pussy all over yours?” she growled, rolling her hips to meet your cunt. “fuck, you’re so wet.” you moaned out, your hands trying to find a place to stay as they flailed. they gripped the sheets and you watched above as her pussy slid across yours. you both glistened with a thin layer of sweat, your bodies becoming hot with arousal. “you feel so fucking good.”
“yes,” you cried, “more.” and she gave you more, her hips rolling with fervor while you writhed in pleasure. “p-please— ellie!”
“yeah, scream my name you little slut,” she purred, her auburn hair sticking to her sweaty face. “let ‘em know— let the neighbors know you’re finally getting laid.”
you continued to moan her name, completely drunk on this feeling. she let out small little ‘just like that’s’ as your voice echoed off the walls of your room.
it was intense, your bodies moving together and so perfectly in sync. sweat dripped from her forehead onto your belly, slightly coating your skin. her hands gripped your chest as she ground against you, the position slightly awkward, but pleasing nonetheless as your heats mushed together in symphony. sloppy squelches filled your ears, almost drowned out by your moans and cries as she took you.
“i’m gonna,” you began, tears welling up in your pretty eyes, “i’m gonna cum, ellie!”
“yeah? right on my pussy? cum right on my pussy, baby,” she moaned, her hands reaching her cup her own breast. you moaned, following her command like a dog as your canal contracting around nothing, costing her slick folds in all your essence. your body convulsed as you came, and the sight forced a moan out of her throat. “yeah, that’s it, my good girl, fu—ck… i’m cumming!” with her orgasm following in suit, she gripped your leg hard, riding out her orgasm as you tried to come down from your own. you whined from the overstimulation, feeling her arousal spread out on your flesh. she shushed you, her index finger on your lips as she calmed her breathing. she dropped your leg, plopping beside you with a grunt.
“t-that was good,” you said to her, your eyes lingering on her glistening face.
“mhm, now you get to brag to a—ll your nerdy, little virgin friends that you,” she jabbed a finger, “got laid.”
“you’re mean,” you huffed, a little pout on your face. she smirked, bringing a hand to the back of your neck and bringing you in to kiss.
“yeah?” she chuckled, “but you like it.”

😝 brain rot from my character ai scenario… the team goes out to a bar to celebrate and you wear a tiny little dress (just to rile him up obvi) but you also end up attracting a lot of male attentionand he gets SO jealous and protective of you he’s like sitting off to the side just watching you flirt with everyone and the team is like “he looks like hes gonna explode wtf” and then the SMUT HES ALL “they can’t have you, you’re all mine” “you really like all the attention huh? i’ll give you what you wanted” OMG it’s making me crazy i hope i described it good enough 🥰🥰
A/N: Is it really a reiderwriter smut if I don't have to clarify that 'I got carried away' at some point in the authors note? No, it is not. Thank you for the request. My brain is now equally rotted, oops.
Warnings: complaints, dirty talk, semi public sexual activity, partial voyeurism, fingering, hard/rough sex.

You weren't even dating.
Which made the situation even more frustrating for Spencer, and even more exciting for you.
You'd always flirted with the man a lot, had been told multiple times to knock it off even after getting a little too close for comfort on a case.
But you couldn't really blame yourself on that one. You'd had to do a quick takedown at a dive bar, and you'd been tasked with pretending to be a touchy couple at the bar to block the back entrance at the staff entrance.
You'd draped yourself all over him, allowing yourself to get closer than you'd ever been before.
If you'd just happened to let your hands fall down to his crotch, it was pure coincidence. So was giving his obviously erect length a few strokes through his jeans as he sat staring at you like you were his last meal and he was back in prison.
Emily had to pull you aside after that one personally.
You knew she was protective of Spencer, seeing him as a little brother, but it seemed like she was more protective of you at that moment.
“Are you sure you know what you're doing?” She'd asked, waiting carefully for your answer before she said anything more.
Two could play at that game. “What is this concerning?”
“With Spencer.”
“I'm not sure what you mean, Emily.”
“Yes, you do. Listen, I don't care what you get up to in your personal life, but Spencer has a way of making others feel very… seen. He can get protective and pushy. And I just want to know you're ready for that, and you're not going to let it affect your work.”
“Is Spencer having the same talk?”
She laughed at that.
“Spencer? No. I already know it's going to affect his work, because it has since you joined our team. He still gets his job done, but I know where his priorities would lie if there were an emergency.”
You'd shivered at that and excused yourself.
If he was that obsessed with you, why had he not told you? Stepped over that line from friends to more than that?
You needed to force the issue, and you had the perfect opportunity when Penelope invited you out for drinks.
“Y/N! Don't go, it's Friday night, we-” she said gesturing wildly to the team gathered around you, “are going to a bar. No, you can't rain check either.”
“Can I at least get changed first?”
“You need to get changed. We're going to a nice bar, Y/N.” Running off again to grab the rest of your team members and force their attendance, you grinned after Penelope.
It was time to see exactly how focused on you Spencer Reid was.
And how willing he was to let you slip through his fingers.
An hour later, you were stepping out of your taxi, pulling your skirt down as you did. The short black dress had a terrible habit of pulling up your thighs to flash your underwear at anyone in a 10 foot radius. Usually, that bothered you, but tonight, you planned on using it to your advantage.
After all, you'd left out the underwear tonight for a reason.
Pulling your jacket around you tighter, you pushed the door to the bar open and scanned the room for your team members.
“Y/N, over here!” Tara called you over, nursing a beer. Luke sat next to her, Penelope on his other side, and Matt on hers and completing the group was Spencer Reid.
“Where are JJ and Emily?” You asked, doing your very best to ignore Spencer as you sat down next to him, practically falling into his warmth. You sat so close to him.
“At the bar. Emily is convinced she can flirt her way to a free drink, and JJ is convinced she cannot. The girl she's working on now has to be 22 at most, so it could honestly go either way.” Penelope answered, and you felt Spencer shift slightly beside you.
“Speak of the devil,” Luke said as the two women approached.
“Well? What's the result?” You grinned up at them, letting your head fall back against Spencer’s shoulder as you gently rested your hand on his thigh. He sat silently for a minute, not moving and just taking in the conversation.
“I've still got it.” Emily grinned triumphantly.
“Maybe I should give it a try. There are a few hot male bartenders tonight. Who knows, I might score more than just a drink.”
Spencer choked on the drink he was sipping as you spoke quickly, a few knowing looks passing between every other person at the table. You'd have to be blind to miss it. Or Spencer.
“Spencer, are you okay? You should be careful, I wouldn't want you to choke. That's how I want to end my night, but it's not for everyone.” That one earned you a few snickers from the others and a glare from the man himself.
“I'm fine, thank you, Y/N.” He smiled down at you and gave your knee a friendly tap that turned slightly less friendly as he pushed it further up your leg.
The others had since averted their attentions, moving their conversation onto other things, but you and Spencer were still stuck in each other's orbits.
Your heart beat faster until you were sure it could be seen, raw and fit to burst out of your chest. His fingertips brushed your hem. He was seconds away from realising that you were going to get the attention you wanted that night.
Slipping just an inch up the hem, he twitched almost imperceptibly as he searched for your panty line, brows knitting when he couldn't find it.
“What's wrong, Spencer? Searching for something that isn't there?” You enjoyed watching his frown deepen as he registered your words, but you enjoyed it even more when you gently pushed his hand away as you stood.
“Well, I need a drink. Let's hope I can recreate your success, Emily.” You said, finally pushing off your jacket. The dress may have been short, but it was also low cut, burning the candle at both ends as your breasts threatened to spill over with any particularly deep breath.
“Sweet lord in heaven! You didn't come to play tonight.” Penelope exclaimed, practically applauding your body as you twirled for her and showed off the form fitting dress, giggling all the way.
“You said it was a nice bar, Penelope. I'm hoping there are also some very nice men here, too.” With a wink, you turned on your heel and strode to the bar, making sure your hips swung seductively with every step.
You couldn't immediately give in and turn to see if he was watching you when you got to the bar, though, not willing to give him the satisfaction. You were doing it all for him, but you still didn't want him to know that.
It didn't take long for men to swarm you. They came one at a time, and you entertained them each as you waited for your unnecessarily complex cocktail order to be prepared.
In the 7 minutes you'd been away from the table, you'd been approached by three separate men. They all tried lines on you, gave you their numbers and tried their best to woo you, but with Spencer’s eyes burning across your body as you leaned against the bar, you really couldn't have cared less.
Still, you leaned in, giggled in the appropriate places, and took the numbers, knowing they'd never be called.
When your cocktail was finally ready, and the last one offered to fund it for you  You finally felt a hand at your back.
“That won't be necessary, thank you.” Spencer ended the conversation, handing his own card over to the bartender as he kept his hand on your back, his body crowding yours.
The man walked away in defeat, and you turned on him, sipping your drink as you refused to move away.
“Now why ruin all my fun, Spencer?”
“You're really enjoying all this attention, huh?” He said, pushing your hair behind your ear as he leaned closer to you, his next word a whisper against your skin.
“I can see your pussy from all the way back there,” he said, tugging down your skirt slightly. You weren't surprised though  simply taking another sip and maintaining eye contact.
“I know.” His hand, having slipped up to your waist, tightened as his gaze dropped to your lips.
“You want everyone to see your dripping cunt? Want to let all the men here take a turn trying to catch your attention so they can slip in?” His voice was low, practically a growl as he licked his lips.
“No. I wanted to see how long it'd take you to come over and do it. By my count, that was eight minutes, correct?”
“Good girl. Just remember that you're mine. I'm not letting anyone else have you.” Giving your face a gentle stroke, he let it trail down your body, subtly cupping and squeezing your chest on the way down.
“All of a sudden, I feel very tired, Spencer. Take me home.” He wasted no time, grabbing your hand and gathering you up, your jacket and bag collected from the desk as he gave minimal answers to the others as you departed. To their credit, they asked minimal questions.
The cold air hit you hard as you pushed the doors open again, but Spencer was unperturbed, pulling you over to his car silently, a strong hand on your shoulder helping you into the passenger's seat.
You dare not talk the entire drive to his apartment, so sure that any word from you would have him turning immediately to deposit you right back at the bar.
He didn't, though, but he also didn't look at you or touch you. You sat squirming at the heavy atmosphere, suddenly desperate to know exactly what thoughts were trapped inside Spencer’s impressive brain.
“We're here.” He announced, pulling up quickly and cutting the engine, climbing out in a hurry.
You fumbled with your own seat belt as he pulled your door open, catching you up in his arms as he closed the door behind you. You wrapped your legs around his waist as your arms wrapped around his neck, letting him carry you up the stairs to his apartment.
His lips didn't meet yours until the door was firmly closed and locked behind you, and even then, he didn't immediately dive in. He out you down, and a touch of disappointment flooded your body as he completely entangled himself from you.
It dissipated completely when his hand wrapped around your throat.
“Let me be clear, Y/N. You are mine. If you want attention, I will give it to you. If you want to choke on something, I'm more than happy to provide it. If you want to dress like a little whore, go ahead, but don't forget who your sweet little cunt belongs to.” His fingers tightened with each word as you gasped for air, back resting on the nearest wall as his body pressed up along your own.
“Do you understand?” He asked, and you nodded repeatedly, fast and desperate.
“Good. Now, ass up on the bed. I'll meet you there.” You practically sprinted to the room in question, slinking up onto the bed. He said ass up, but you hesitated slightly as he quietly shut the bedroom door behind you, just long enough to earn a slap on your ass as he finally returned to your side.
“You have to listen, Y/N. You wanted this, so you have to listen nicely.”
“I'm sorry, Spencer, it won't happen aga-” He stole the end of your sentence as he slipped his fingers into you, gently working the two longest ones up into a frenzy as he finger fucked you.
“Sorry, what was that? I don't think I quite caught your words.” You could only moan in reply as you buried your head in his pillows, ass pressing back into his fingers to help him get deeper.
“So needy. Look at this little black dress. You knew this was going to happen, right?” A third finger slipped inside you, and you screamed out in pleasure as he continued using you.
“Burying your head isn't going to work, Y/N. Your cunt is answering for you.”
You heard the rattle of his belt unbuckling as his fingers finally slipped out, the emptiness only a relief for a second before his cock was hitting deep inside of you.
Thoughts escaped you as you finally got what you'd been begging for for weeks. His every frustration was pounded into you as he tugged at your hair, pulling your torso up so he could hit even deeper.
Pulling back your head with a hand on your throat he laid a barrage of kisses across your upper back and shoulders, making sure to bite and suck and nip as his spare hand toyed with your nipples, pinching and pulling.
In a second, you reached your climax, not having the breath left in you to let him know before you tightened on his shaft and let your body fall limp under his hands.
“I'm going to mop up our cum with this dress, Y/N, and then I'm going to make you put it back on.” With a final grunt, he pulled out, jerking his cock through his release as he shot his load right over your pussy lips.
He collapsed on top of you, and you finally gave up your last bit of strength beneath him, enjoying the pressure of his weight pushing down on you again.
“Thank god that worked,” you gasped, catching your breath. You smiled as he flipped you over and pulled the dress off your head, true to his word.
“What worked, Y/N?”
“This. You don't know the lengths I'd have gone to to get you yo finally fuck me if this hadn't worked.”
“But suddenly, I'm curious, and I have all the time in the world.” You laughed lightly but snuggled into his chest again, meaning to sleep.
“Unless you want to get dressed again now…?”

so wrong but so good - psh
summary: sunghoon and you are step-siblings but you can't help the undeniable tension between you two. || warnings: dom!sunghoon x sub!reader, stepcest, sunghoon is possessive, sunghoon is toxic, degradation, slight praise kink, protected sex || genre: smut, angst, stepcest || word count: approximately 1485 || a/n: ty to my bestie @kjdhdjkfyk for giving me this idea!
Sunghoon never wanted me to come to this party with him. In fact, he didn't like the thought of me going to parties at all. His dad, my stepdad, had forced him to bring me along if he wanted to even go to the party in the first place. Sunghoon never wanted this.
When I happily got in Sunghoon's car, excited to go to a party for the first time, he was mumbling and grumbling, completely annoyed. Talking about how he was a grown man and shouldn't have to listen to his dad anymore. He openly voiced his discontent with me coming to the party with him. I ignored him though, not wanting him to sour my good night.
When we got to the party itself, we both parted ways, though little did I know, that Sunghoon was keeping an eye on me the whole time. He watched as guys approached me, attempting to flirt with me. I just brushed them off, not interested in them. Truth be told, I already liked someone. That someone was my stepbrother.
I didn't like Sunghoon right away. There was really nothing for me to like with how rude he was in our first introduction. Over time though, tension between us rose, sexual tension. Touches that weren't so accidental, words that seemed to have a deeper meaning, protectiveness that was more than just brotherly love. All of those things combined, how could I not have some sort of feelings for him?
It was so wrong though. I knew that. I wasn't that stupid. My parents would probably kill us if they noticed the way we acted with one another when they weren't around. So, at this party, I decided it was time for me to get over him.
When one particularly cute guy came over to me, attempting to swoon me and get me to go to bed with him, I didn't immediately push him away. In fact, I tried my best to flirt back, though my flirting skills weren't exactly the best due to my lack of experience. He eventually asked me to take this somewhere private and I agreed, although in the back of my mind, I couldn't stop thinking about Sunghoon.
As if Sunghoon could read my mind, just as the guy had taken my hand to lead me away from the party, Sunghoon stepped in and pulled me away from the guy. I looked up at him, completely shocked.
"What the fuck?" The guy said, obviously annoyed that we were being interrupted.
"Get the fuck out of here." Sunghoon sternly said in a threatening tone.
"Hey! We were-" I start to talk but I'm cut off by Sunghoon.
"Shut up. We're going home." Sunghoon harshly told me, his grip on me remaining as he took my arm and pulled me along with him, the people around us giving us looks after witnessing what'd happened.
The car ride home was beyond awkward for me although, at the same time, I felt almost excited as we got closer to home. I wondered what he'd do. It was wrong. I shouldn't be thinking these things about my stepbrother. In fact, how did I know he wasn't just doing this out of sibling protectiveness? Never mind, he definitely wasn't after everything else between us.
Sunghoon pulled into the driveway and shut the car off. "Get out of the car." He firmly said, looking over at me. I didn't say anything as I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car, doing as he said. Sunghoon followed me as I walked inside.
Once the front door had shut behind us and we had taken our shoes off, I was pinned to the wall unexpectedly. Sunghoon stood in front of me as he looked down at me.
"You really know how to drive me crazy." Sunghoon said in a low voice.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, almost playing dumb.
Sunghoon took my face in his hands, squishing my cheeks together not too gently, not too rough. "You know what the fuck I'm talking about. I mean, seriously? A guy like that? Do you have no self-respect?" Sunghoon questioned degradingly.
I stayed silent, what could I really say to that? It was mean, really mean. Despite the tinge of hurt that was caused in me, I could feel my underwear becoming stickier and wetter from my arousal.
"Get your ass in my bedroom." Sunghoon then told me and I knew exactly what was coming.
As soon as I entered his room, Sunghoon walked inside behind me and shut the door, locking it just in case our parents were to come home unexpectedly, though that was unlikely.
I sat down on the end of the bed, watching as he walked over to me. He leaned down and without warning harshly pressed his lips against mine, hungrily. His tongue immediately shoved through my lips, parting them so that he could deepen the kiss. I held onto his firm muscular arms as he leaned down. He slowly pushed me down so that I was lying down, his lips remaining intact with mine as he did so, his arms caging me, his legs spreading my own.
I could feel his crotch press against mine as we continued to kiss, and I couldn't help but rock my hips forward in desperation, moaning out in pleasure at the friction it caused. I'd wanted this for so long, and so had he.
A few moments later, we pulled away from the kiss, the both of us catching our breaths, mostly me. "Get up there." Sunghoon instructed me breathily, motioning towards the head of the bed, near the pillows.
I did as he said, crawling up the bed. Sunghoon walked over and stood at the edge of the bed. I reached for the hem of his shirt, pushing it up a little, letting him know what I wanted without words.
Sunghoon grabbed my hand and pulled it away from him, "Uh-uh, use your words." He said, looking down at me with pure lust and desire.
“Please, Sunghoon.” I whined, needy for him.
“Please what?” Sunghoon asked, wanting to hear me say it.
“Please fuck me.” I quietly said and I could see a small smirk form on his lips.
“Good girl.” Sunghoon said. I then watched as he pulled his shirt off, followed by his pants and boxers. As he got undressed, I took it upon myself to take clothes off as well, leaving myself in just my bra and underwear.
Sunghoon got on the bed, kneeling on the bed in between my spread legs. He then shoved his hands under my back, unclamping my bra and pulling it off, throwing it on the floor. He eyed my boobs as he pulled my underwear off as well, his eyes going straight to my soaked core as soon as he threw my underwear to the side as well.
I watched as he leaned over, opening his nightstand drawer and pulling out a condom, opening the package and sliding the rubber over his shaft, throwing the package on the floor as well.
“Already so wet. Don’t even have to prep you or nothing, huh?” Sunghoon asked and I shook my head, just wanting him in me right now.
Sunghoon just worked, the desperation on my face clear as day. He then took his shaft in his hand and slowly positioned it in front of my core. He then pushed inside of me without warning, causing me to let out a whine of discomfort as he bottomed out.
“Sunghoon..” I whined.
“Shh, you wanted this.” Sunghoon said as he started moving his hips against me, starting with somewhat slow thrusts before speeding up. I could hear the sounds of his grunts and groans by my ear as I let out pathetic sounding moans, though it sounded like music to his ears.
After some time, I could feel myself growing closer to my release and Sunghoon could tell, just by the way my grip on his shoulders tightened and my moans became louder. His hand made its way down to my clit, slowly rubbing it, bringing me closer and closer to my orgasm.
“Cum, baby. Cum.” Sunghoon egged me on and after hearing his words and feeling the continuous thrusts in me and rubs at my clit, I finally let go. Sunghoon continued what he was doing throughout my orgasm, reaching his high as well shortly after.
Once we both calmed down, he pulled out and got off of me, taking his condom off and throwing it in the trash basket in his room.
“You better not tell anyone about this.” Sunghoon said, looking over at me.
I looked over at him, “I won’t. I promise.” I said.
Sunghoon looked into my eyes for a few moments, “And you better not pull that shit you pulled tonight again. You’re mine.”

going down || jenni hermoso x reader ||
Tumblr media
jenni surprises you at your first game as a coach.
minors dni, 18+
the game had been a close one. for your first one as a coach, it went better than you had expected. after the game, when you gave your interview, you noticed a familiar face sitting in the stands. most of the fans had dispersed already, so you knew that it had to be jenni waiting there for you.
it had been a few weeks since you had seen jenni last. the last time you had seen her was at your apartment in calgary before you packed things up. you didn't necessarily want to end your career so early, but you wanted to be closer to jenni, and your injuries were becoming more and more frequent. you came from a family of athletes, and you knew how hard hockey could be on the body when you got older.
"it is weird seeing you out of the uniform," jenni said as she wrapped her arms around the back of your neck. you smiled as you leaned into the kiss. "i am just glad that i made it to your opener. a successful start, i told you that you had nothing to worry about."
"yeah, i guess you did," you said sheepishly. "come on, let's get out of here and celebrate."
"lead the way." jenni stepped behind you and grabbed onto your hand. you walked her out of the arena and out to the parking lot. both of you seemed to have the same idea once you were alone, and you turned just as jenni placed her hand on the back of your head. this kiss wasn't gentle and sweet like the one inside of the arena had been.
jenni jumped into your arms, allowing you to support her completely. you could feel jenni begin to rub against you as you leaned her against the car door. jenni was always wildly turned on whenever you showed your physical strength. in public, she'd always deny it, but jenni liked it whenever you got a little rough with her or tossed her around.
"jenni, we have to go home. what if one of my players came out here?" you tried to pry jenni off of you, but she only clung harder.
"come on, where did that show off from montreal go?" jenni teased. you clenched your jaw, not liking that she was very obviously challenging you. "did texas really change you that much? why get a truck so big if you aren't going to fuck me in the back of it?"
"jesus christ," you mumbled as you stepped back and opened up one of the doors for the backseat. jenni smirked as she was set into the seat. "god please don't let us get caught."
"thank you for this. do you know how crazy i felt sitting there watching you all game?" jenni asked. you recognized her tone of voice immediately as the one she used whenever she wanted you to take over. it was very much on short notice, but you knew what you wanted from jenni, and what would satisfy her long enough for you to get home.
it wasn't quite a quickie in the car, but you hated having to rush through things. you joined her in the backseat of your truck and pulled her onto your lap. you grabbed a fistful of her hair to hold her in place as you kissed along her neck and used your other hand to undress her a bit. you didn't need jenni completely naked, but she definitely had to remove a few layers.
"god, you are so fucking hot," you mumbled against jenni's skin. you let your mouth latch onto one of her nipples. jenni let her hand come up to attend to the other one, much more interested in letting your free hand continue on its path between her legs.
"c-can i touch you?" jenni asked. you pulled your head back a bit to look at her. she was staring down at you as she bit her lip. her hips were rocking back and forth as she tried to seek out the friction your fingers would bring. instead, you kept her just far away enough to continue seeking it out. "please."
"since you asked so nicely." you were teasing, both you and jenni knew it. however, there was nothing she would do about that. jenni herself was usually a huge tease. it was honestly a minor miracle that she didn't try to distract you during your post-game interview.
jenni's hands quickly moved in between both of your bodies. she ran her fingertips along the muscles in your abdomen that jenni knew was there. you let out a small chuckle at the slightly ticklish sensation of her fingers moving against your skin through your shirt.
you shifted slightly beneath her, just enough to lay back a bit more in the seat. jenni's eyes lit up as she noticed the position you were taking. nights like this were few and far between. you preferred to have jenni laid out somewhere nice, but it was obvious that she wanted you in the moment. there was no use in forcing yourself to hold off, not when you could both get what you wanted immediately.
"hands on the window babe," you instructed. jenni didn't need that bit of instruction at all. she hastily began to shed her pants as she shimmied to hover above your face. you didn't let her drop down until her hands were resting against the window as a brace. staring up at her cunt, you licked your lips in anticipation. "good girl. now, keep quiet or i'll have to stop. do you understand?"
"si, silento," jenni answered. you hummed appreciatively and rewarded her with a slow lick of your tongue through her folds. jenni found herself spreading her legs even more as she tried to find your tongue again. you let out a low chuckle, letting the vibrations move along her inner thigh. "jesus christ. please baby, don't tease."
"i would never tease you, not when i have you like this," you promised her. if jenni was skeptical, she kept it to herself. you grabbed onto her hips and pulled her flush against your face. while your tongue lapped at jenni's entrance, her clit rubbed agaisnt your nose. jenni stayed still, only allowing herself to be moved by you.
there was normally a bit more of a balance between the two of you, but you both knew to relish in the unbalanced nights. it was nice when one of you took over, alleviating the stress of the other. all either of you wanted was to make the other feel good, and if the way that jenni was biting her lip to keep herself from screaming your name was any sign, you were doing your job.
"i'm so close," jenni whimpered. you reached up and took her hands in your own. jenni kept quiet, but still watched curiously as you placed her hands in your own hair. jenni could move a bit more, and you laid back and watched her ride your face to chase afer her orgasm.
some nights jenni came like a tsunami, threatening to drown everything in her path. other nights, the only tell was the way she pulled you from between her legs and clung to your body. tonight, you felt like jenni was somewhere in between. she was still quiet, but you could feel her gush onto your chin a little. it was more than the steady drip of her arousal that you were used to, but you welcomed it openly. you basked in the taste of jenni's cum like it was the nectar of the gods, reserved for you and you only.

The other Bronze – Pt. 19
Without looking back you just sprinted away from Keira who watched you cut through the crowd and took a deep breath before turning around after she lost sight of you. And oh boy she wasn't wrong with what she expected to see – Lucy was pissed. Her whole body was basically shaking with anger and Keira was grateful for the glass door that divided the two of them for the moment. Keira wasn't scared of Lucy by all means but she also knew that both Bronzes – Lucy and y/n – can get quiet unfair when being emotional. So she took another deep breath before scanning her own ticket entering the tunnelway to the plane
“I'm not talking to you when you come at me like this nor will I deal with this whole issue in the middle of Boarding while others are around” the blonde calmly said before stepping around Lucy continuing walking towards the plane
“What the fuck is going on?” Lucy asked her voice shaking with anger and she was straight in Keiras face
“Keira Fae Walsh” your sister growled trying to grab Keiras wrist to suddenly found herself blocked by Irene
“Let's get home first Lucy...” the spanish player said calmly
Normally not one to get involved into clearly family stuff but as the quiet observant Irene was she saw what Keira did there and obviously Keira only wanted to make you happy. Irene never was someone who was always outgoing like say Mapí or Pina she usually stayed back and just observe. It was clear to her that after what happened in Barcelona just before the international break you needed more time away from the catalan city. It wasn't obvious to Lucy, Mapí, Pina or even Alexia but Irene saw you slightly flinch every time someone would mention Barcelona. You obviously needed distance to overcome whatever was still bothering you. So she did something very unusual for her – she stepped in and got involved.
“I need to get my sister” Lucy suddenly felt a wave of panic wash through her and quickly turned around “... she's still a baby she can't be in a big ass airport by herself”
“Lucy...” Irene said soothingly grabbing the defender by her forearm “... she's a young growing woman – she's not a toddler anymore. We both know who she sprinted after so she isn't alone and you need to trust her... I know it's hard – believe me I know better than anyone. You want to keep her safe and secure and keep the rough world away and make it as easy as you can for them – but they grow up and learn to walk and talk and as hard as it is you need to let them Lucy. When Mateo took his first steps it was the proudest and scariest moments in my life – I was proud he walked and at the same time I was so scared something happens to him. But even if they fall and get hurt – you need to let them Lucy... trust your sister – she's a good kid and has a good head on her shoulders”
“She's fragile right now” your sister tried again weakly
“And you think it's getting better if you force her back to the place where it happened?” the spaniard asked knowing Lucy was just hurting a little too
“I can protect her” Lucy swallowed hard trying to not let her teammate see the tears that were starting to pool in her eyes “I can make it right again”
“We all know that Lucia... we know you can protect her – but right know she doesn't need you to protect her. She needs you to understand that she needs time away. She's save Lucy and that's the only thing that matters”
“I know Irene... I know that she's save.... but it's so hard to let her go” your sister was on the edge of tears standing a little to the side with her teammate while other passengers walked passed uninterested
“Trust me Lucy... I understand you... I understand you better than anyone but you brought her up to be an amazing woman... you let to set her free Lucy – as hard as it is” Irene tried to consult her obviously upset friend “Let others see too that there's another amazing Bronze out there”
“Yeah... yeah okay” Lucy took a deep breath “Thank you Irene”
“No need Lucy – I know how you feel... it's the same feeling I get every day when I drop off Mateo at the kindergarten and he just runs off without even saying Bye because he needs to show his friends his new toy” Irene chuckled pulling Lucy in for a hug
“She didn't run off to show G her toys” Lucy chuckled back through her tears as she hugged her teammate back
“Oh you never know... she's probably showing Georgia her grown up toys” the spanish grinned as she let go of Lucy and turned around to finally board the plane leaving a flabbergasted Bronze behind
“No she's not!!! She's a baby!!!” your sister yelled after Irene a minute later after she collected herself earning strange looks from people going past and further down the tunnel you could hear Irenes laughter
“G!!!! WAIT!!!” you yelled spotting the blond ponytail from your girlfriend as you did your best not to run into someone
You saw Georgia turn around a confused and shocked look on her face thinking she started hallucinating hearing your voice calling out for her. But no – there you were jumping (not) so gracefully over a trolley sprinting towards her. Your girlfriend had mere seconds to collect herself before she saw you launching herself in Georgias arms. Just as you knew your girlfriend caught you with ease but she had to use the momentum to spin you around so you both didn't end up on the floor.
“What are you doing?” Georgia asked slightly panicked “Please don't tell me you ran away because seriously y/n... your sister is going to kill me for real – that's if she's faster than Keira”
“No... no don't worry... I didn't run away – Keira and Sarina rebooked me ticket... I get a small getaway in Munich... that's... if you'll have me” you quickly explained smiling but you'll make sure to drop your voice at the end so bystanders wouldn't hear it
“What...? Yeah... yeah of course” your girlfriends face changed from confused to widely grinning
“Good... I kinda start missing Jill... she's so unintentionally funny” you grinned after your girlfriend put you down again
“Scuse me?” the blonde looked at you offended “What you mean you miss Jill??”
“Oh my Mrs. Stanway... do I detect some jealousy?” you teased your girlfriend keeping your voice low while you move towards the boarding queue
“No... just interest” Georgia tried but you saw right through her
“Interest my ass” you snorted while you handed a Stewardess your ticket happy that the light turned green after she scanned it “Everyone thinks your this easy going persona... in reality you're possessive, dominant and jealous...”
“... and yet still you love me” your girlfriend husked in your ear standing behind you
“That I do... also... you make me laugh” you mumbled back smirking to yourself “But so does Jill”
You couldn't stop the little squeal when Georgia pinched your side and you just started to laugh. You already felt so more at ease for just being with your girlfriend that you set yourself a mental reminder to get the biggest fruit baskets for Mama Rina and Keira that you could find. You steadily moved forward and stepped into the plane that would fly you to Munich when it hit you and you suddenly turned around to Georgia
“I don't feel good” you said a little panicked and try to push past Georgia who just grabbed you gently and turned you back around towards the plane
“It's okay Baby” your girlfriend murmured next to your ear “I'm with you the whole time...”
“No G... I don't FEEL good” you pressed while you got pushed forward gently
“It's not a long flight Baby” Georgia tried to calm you down again smiling slightly at the Stewardess “... she's a little nervous about flying”
“Oh don't worry Miss... our planes are on the newest safety standards and flying is even safer than driving” the Stewardess smiled politely
“Driving... that's it... we're driving... let's go” you rambled trying to turn around again for Georgia to sigh and keep pushing you forward
“No... I have training tomorrow afternoon... we can't drive” your girlfriend said calmly pushing you through the tight aisle and you already felt your chest tighten
“G” you said your voice trembling
“It's okay Baby... nothing will happen I promise” Georgia said soothingly stopping you at your seats “We take off, have a nice conversation about how you miss.. Jill... and then we already land... easy peasy – like the win over Spain”
“G” you said again desperately your panic rising
“You're safe Baby” your girlfriend mumbled quietly pushing you into the middle seat at your row before taking her own seat at the aisle
“No G... I don't feel good... I feel if I'm gonna throw up” you whispered your eyes fixed on the seat in front of you
“Oh...” Georgia said a little lost “.... ehrm.. you haven't eaten this morning.... wait... I still have a cereal bar”
“No please don't make me eat anything” you begged your girlfriend but she was already out of her seat searching her little carry-on bag for said cereal bar
“Here... eat that... you don't have to chew just bite some off and swallow it” your girlfriend held the bar right under your nose smiling encouraging
The smell alone made you heave and you pushed her hand away
“Baby please... I beg you” you looked at her with pleading eyes
“No... you eat that cereal and then you feel better.. it'll help your nerves Baby” Georgia said her voice low and caring
“I'm not...” you started but she interrupted you
“... hungry I know...” your girlfriend rolled her eyes “... for me... please?”
“You better keep your stomach in check because I'm 87.94% sure I'm gonna throw up” you mumbled as you grabbed the cereal bar as if it personally insulted you
“Thank you” Georgia said before checking her surroundings quickly then pressing a sweet kiss to your cheek
“Yeah yeah” you mumbled opening the snack and biting into it “That's disgustingly sweet”
“Yeah sorry... it's white chocolate/strawberry” your girlfriend smiled apologetic
“You KNOW I hate white chocolate” you whined but didn't get very far as Georgia pushed the bar back into your mouth and the safety instructions started
“I don't know why they do that every flight... if we crash we crash” you mumbled with a full mouth
“There are still people who never flown and not every crash is deadly” your girlfriend mumbled back not paying attention herself already having her tablet out looking for a movie to distract you during the flight
“Still...” you mumbled taking another bite from the cereal bar chewing it aggressively
Georgia chuckled lowly laying her hand on your knee in a calming manner stopping your leg from bouncing nervously
“Okay... we're about to take off... take my hand” your girlfriend said quietly offering her hand
“I've flown alone before...” you grumbled but take her hand nonetheless
“Oh I know you did... just wanted to give a reasonable excuse to hold my hand” Georgia smirked
“I kinda missed the sneaking around” you mused squeezing her hand tightly feeling your nerves rising again as the plane rolled onto the runway
“You're doing great Baby...” Georgia whispered and ran her thumb over your knuckles
“G... my stomach is acting up.. I think... bad feeling” you mumbled your voice strained
“Just nerves babe.... relax... tell me about Barcelona” your girlfriend tried to distract you
“It's hot there... so so hot G... the weather isn't bad either” you said nonchalantly and your girlfriend bursted out laughing
“So... who looks best in a bikini?” Georgia smirked mentally congratulating herself for succeeding with her distraction plan
“All of them” you quickly said “Ratings... Bonmatí is a 9 – she had one of these big white hats on.. kind of a turn off... but still... a 9... Princess Norwegian is a 10 – she's a full package... I kinda digged that dark blue bikini... Lucy probably could've pulled that one off too – she got a nice tan... apparently without lines”
“Ew... too much” your girlfriend pulled a face
“... yeah... that's what I said... who else was there.. uh... tweedledee... a 8.5 – she definitely has the body for it but the bikini was a little... boring... tweedledumb... a 7.8... she small and I really don't get the printed bikinis you know... why would you wear somethings with pineapples on it?” you looked at Georgia confused who chuckled shrugging her shoulders “... then you have Ona... I don't really want to rate her – I saw her naked... okay I saw her back and ass naked... ugh” you shuddered “... I thought I forgot about that”
“Sorry to open old wounds” Georgia smirked and you saw that she wasn't sorry at all
“You're nooo...” you started but then you felt the plane pick up speed feeling the unmistakable little jump when the plane started to take off
“It's okay... look at me...” your girlfriend calmly said feeling you squeeze her hand to the point where she was sure you'd brake it “... Baby... look at ME”
“I hate it..” your breathing starting to get quicker as you turned your head looking into your girlfriends brown eyes
“It's all good... you're doing amazing...” Georgia said lowly holding your stare until she felt you relax and lighten your squeeze “How does Lucy deals with it when she's with you?”
“Keira always gives me these Vitamin gummies” you mumbled
“Vitamin gummies?” your girlfriend asked confused and there was the well-known “pling” as the seatbelt sign went off
“I love you... but move” you quickly opened your seatbelt basically climbing over her
“What... where are you... y/n” Georgia looked puzzled after you as you speed walked down the aisle before she quickly tried to get after you but forgot that she still had her seatbelt on
You quickly made it into the tiny bathroom just in time to hunch over the toilet and empty your stomach content into it. Your girlfriend squeezed in behind you as you felt a new wave of nausea hit you and you crouched over the bowl again heaving again
“Oh god” you heard behind you and heard Georgia dry heave
“Get out” you pressed out
“No no... I'm going to help you” your girlfriend said her voice strained
“G... you're a sympathy puker... GET. OUT” you said before heaving out there
“You need...” another heave “Help”
“I need you to get out” you said before getting hit by another wave which caused you to vomit again
To your surprise your girlfriend stayed the whole time holding your hair and rubbed over your back soothingly. When you thought you were done you sat down your back against the cold wall and you looked up towards Georgia. The blonde still held your hair loosely but she looked in the complete different way than you were in. It made you smiled lightly before you remembered where you sat and you quickly jumped up already shuddering thinking about all the gems that were now on you.
“I'm done.... I don't think there's anything left” you mumbled
“Thank god” your girlfriend sighed out “What do you need?”
“A bottle of water to wash my mouth... and some spearmint” you said slowly “... and some disinfectant”
“Wait here... I go to the stewardess” Georgia said and out of routine she leaned forward wanting to press a kiss to your mouth but you stopped her just in time with your hand against her chest
“Yeah I don't think so” you said pushing her backwards
“Sorry... habit” your girlfriend mumbled ashamed before disappearing
A few minutes later you heard a quiet knock on the door and you tiredly opened it to see the pitiful face of your girlfriend
“Do not pity me Stanway” you said exhausted “Told you I hate flying”
“I just wish there was more I could do” Georgia said sadly
“You did more then everyone ever before...” you whispered accepting the bottle of water gratefully
“More than Lucy?” your girlfriend perked up
“Lucys asleep before we hit the runway... especially with early flights...” you mumbled after you rinsed your mouth twice
“Keira?” Georgia tried
“I never let her in” you admit and in this second Georgia realized how special this moment was – even if it costed it her whole willpower not to puke on your back
“I'll always take care of you... lets go back to our seats – you can rest some and I'll wake you up when we're landing okay” the blonde whispered and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead
“Kay... sounds good” you mumbled exhaustion clear in your voice as you let her lead you back to your seats
“Baby... wake up” Georgia shook you slightly as the captain told the crew to prepare for landing “... we're landing”
“Hm?” you grumbled your eyes slowly opening as you looked around confused
“We're landing... nearly home” your girlfriend smiled lovingly pushing you in a normal seating position
“Home?” you asked the sleep thick in your voice
“Yeah... just landing, getting our luggage and getting home...” Georgia confirmed intertwining your hands
“Good... I'm really hungry now” you answered still not fully aware of your surroundings
“I bet... nothing left in your stomach huh” your girlfriend chuckled
“Nope... dropped it somewhere over... I don't know.. maybe Berlin” you shrugged your shoulders getting more awake by the minute
“We didn't fly over Berlin” Georgia laughed
“Then some other German city... hope they didn't get offended or flashbacks...” you bit out and suddenly you felt the wheels of the plane connect with the runway in Munich “.... we're... already down”
“Yes... knew it would help to let you sleep as long as possible” your girlfriend grinned proudly
“I didn't sleep” you mumbled grumpy
“The patch of drool on me shoulder says something different” Georgias grin widen
“You probably spilled something on yourself” you huffed and rolled your eyes for good measure
“Mhm” your girlfriend grinned like a maniac now
“Hate you” you grumbled
“No you don't...” the blonde laughed and pressed a subtle kiss to your temple as the plane got in it's final parking position
“When do you have to be back at training?” you asked as you opened your seatbelt and nudged your girlfriend to do the same
“Tomorrow at 4....” Georgia answered as she stood up getting your carry-ons from the overhead cabs
“Sooooo... we have the rest of today AND tomorrow morning to our selves?” you grinned
“Oh god woman... what have you planned now?” your girlfriend exclaimed scared
“I'll break your knees if you call me “woman” ever again” you growled but Georgia saw the glint in your eyes before you playfully push her forward
“Why does baggage always takes so long??” you whined
“They unload about a 100 bags... relax Babe” Georgia said sitting in one of the chairs opposite to your baggage carousel turning on her phone “Text your sister that you're still alive”
“I'll text Kei later...” you answered starting to pace again
“Babe please... text Lucy so she knows I didn't kill you... she hates me anyway I don't want her to have stuff to add on top” your girlfriend pleaded
“Lucy... might not be happy with me either at the moment” you said carefully
“What? Why?” Georgia asked confused looking up from her phone
“She... didn't know about... this” you waved your hand around
“She WHAT now????” your girlfriend shot out of her seat
“It was Keira and Sarina... I didn't know either... Keira pushed Lucy through tickets before me and then told me... so Lucy was already through and just saw me... running off.... so I doubt me texting her will help our case” you confessed scratching your neck
“Oh dear jesus Mary mother of god” your girlfriend groaned “... she'll kill me... she'll think it was my idea.... she's probably already on her way to Munich... but... Munich is a big city... she'll never find me... I just... I... WitSec... do they have Witness Protection in Germany?”
“G... calm down... she won't... Keira wouldn't let it happen – Keira is in our corner and she's basically the only One who will get away with it because she's the only One who can make Lucy see reason...” you grabbed your girlfriends shoulders shaking her slightly “... and Witsec is American... so I don't think they have that here”
“Okay... yes... yes you're right” Georgia took a deep breath before her eye shot open wide in shock “Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.... hide me”
“Huh??” you asked confused as G already started to pull you behind a pole positioning you in front of her as she crouched down “G?”
“Ssssshhhh...” she shushed you peaking out around your waist “If she sees me I'm fucked”
“Who??” you whisper yelled
“Oh Georgia” you suddenly heard a sing song from the other side of the pole and you saw all color leave your girlfriends face
“Shit” you heard Georgia swear before she pushed you to the side sprinting off
Next thing you knew a flash of blonde came around the pole and sprinting past you. You were confused to know end seeing a blonde woman chasing your girlfriend around the baggage carousel
“What the fuck?” you mumbled to yourself watching how Georgia quickly cut a corner and jumped over some seats
“This an ex??” you asked loudly as your girlfriend was near you not knowing what to make out of this scenario
“God NO” Georgia yelled back jumping up when she saw that woman coming in for a slide tackle
“Crazy fan?” you tried again grabbing for information
“Something like that” your girlfriend answered before coming to a skitting halt next to you pulling you quickly in front of her using you as a human shield
“Talk to me woman” you growled seeing the other blonde walking over to you
“Magdalena Lilly Eriksson!!! I DARE you!!” you suddenly heard from your right and when you turned your head you saw an angry even blonder woman pointing aggressively towards the blonde woman in front of you
“But...” the slight darker blonde whined
“What the fuck is going on here??” you asked with a mixture of confusion and anger
“SHE” the darker blonde pointed at Georgia who was still hiding behind you “Ate my last Kanelbullar... and THEN she just fucked off”
“I swear I didn't know it was the last” your girlfriend piped up from behind you
“She what now??” you asked baffled
“Okay... stop... that poor girl is losing her mind right now” the lighter blonde said sternly turning towards you “Hi... my name is Pernille Harder... this hothead over there is my girlfriend Magdalena Eriksson... we play with Georgia at Bayern”
“Hardersson...” you exclaimed after a second that you needed to process that information “... I heard of you before”
“Yes... that's us” Pernille smiled warmly “And you... are?”
“Uh uh.. sorry... I swear Keira taught me manners.... y/n Bronze” you extended your hand to Pernille “... the best kept Secret in the Soccer world as it seems... or the better looking, younger and smarter Bronze”
Pernille grabbed your hand shaking it while she laughed heartwarmingly
“I do remember you... you were Lucys shadow when City played Chelsea...” the Danish smiled
“Now I'm just her pain in the ass... I upgraded meself” you grinned back which set off a fresh round of laughter
“So Pernille... Harder... better part of Hardersson... what do I call you?” you asked stumbling a little over your words
“P is just fine...” the lighter blonde laughed
“Okay... P... WHAT exactly is the problem here and why is Stanway using me as a human shield?” you asked teasing
“G ate Magdas last Kanelbullar... it's a Swedish... I would like to say dessert but they eat it at whatever time they feel like it... so I just say Swedish dish...” the Danish explained while her girlfriend had the biggest scowl on her face “Oh stop it Magda – I know for a fact that you stuffed your face with Kanelbullar the second your feet touched Swedish ground”
“That's NOT the point...” the swede grunted “... and how do you know about that anyway?”
“Frido AND Stina” Pernille waved off “... not to mention all the complaints from Zečira about all the crumbs in her bed...”
“These backstabbing...” the swede grumbled before her gaze locked on your girlfriend again “... you still...”
“Magda leave her alone...” Pernille said warningly and as much of a hard ass Magda was on the field – when her girlfriend used this tone she knew to listen
“Okay... for the stupid english over here” you pointed at yourself “... G ate what?”
“Kanelbullar” Magda grumbled “MY Kanelbullar”
“WHAT. IS. THAT??” you looked at the swede talking overly slowly like the blonde didn't speak fluent english
“It's a Swedish delicacy” the swede looked at you like you were stupid
“You guys stuff your face with fish that makes the whole WORLD puke... you could end wars with that stuff” you exclaimed “... so don't just say “Swedish delicacy”... EXPLAIN it”
“Ey... Surtrömming is eatable... you just need to wait after you opened the tin” Magda looks at you offended
“Okay.... you obviously don't get me” you said turning around fixing your girlfriend with a glare “You ate her last what now??”
“Kanel...” Georgia started
“If you just repeat that word I'll break your kneecaps...” you sneered your nostrils flared
“It's a Swedish... yeah.. zimtschnecke” your girlfriend quickly explained a little scared of you
“a what?” you started to lose your patience
“Zimtschnecke... you know... like Nussschnecke... just with... Zimt” Georgia looked at you lost shrugging her shoulders
“A WHAT??” your breathing picked up significantly as you heard Pernille chuckle behind you
“You ate that before! I saw you eat it” your girlfriend tried to calm you down
“Georgia” you heard Pernille chuckle “... maybe you should try to explain in english... you just used German... she doesn't look like she speaks German”
“Oh... OH” your girlfriends eyes widen “Cinnamon rolls... I ate her last cinnamon roll”
“Oh for god fucking sakes... all THAT because of a cinnamon roll???” you asked baffled
“She likes her cinnamon rolls” Georgia smiled apologetic
“Here...” you turned around to the Swedish player pulling a fiver out of your pockets “... buy yourself some cinnamon rolls... kindergarten.. seriously”
Magda was about to grab the money as Pernille just cleared her throat behind her girlfriend and the Swedish smiled at you
“That's very nice but not necessary... but thank you very much” Magda smiled strained which made her look like she has a stroke
“Suit yourself.... Stanway... luggage...” you grumbled not ready to deal with more bullshit and your girlfriend knew that – that why she stumbled away as quickly as possible trying to find your twos bags.
“I like you little Bronze” Pernille smiled “... good to know someone has at least some control over Georgia”
“She just scared of Lucy” you shrugged your shoulders watching your girlfriend – now in company of Magda – running around the baggage belt looking for your bag
“Because she's sleeping with her baby sister?” the Danish smirked
“Don't know what you're talking about” you said nonchalantly
“Oh but you do... but it's okay.... not all of us are as comfortable showing their relationship as Mags and I.. it's okay...” the Danish said warmly “... but I saw the way G looked at you... I KNOW that there's something going on”
“There's nothing going on...” you said neutral “... not for the next 14 month, 2 weeks and 9 days...”
“Oh really...” Pernille looked at you surprised “... and why is that?”
“That's the day I turn 18” you shrugged your shoulders your eyes still on your girlfriend
“Oh damn...” the Danish caught on immediately
“So... no.. there's nothing going on... we're just friends” you said but Pernille heard the strain in your voice
“Look at me” the blonde said a little more stricter and waited until you looked her in the eyes “I know we don't know each other but I won't tell a single soul and as long as it's just me and Magda around you two can be as open and as touchy as you want to be... you two love each other and we're not judging anyone... so if you want I would like to grab dinner sometimes... just the four of us”
“Thank you” you whispered gratefully “and dinner sounds go.... wait... we're getting take out right? No way I'm eating that Swedish fish”
“I'll cook... Magda would just burn down the house” the Danish laughed out loud
“G's the same... Keira told me they banned her from using the toaster because she nearly sat their shared apartment in Manc on fire... she tried to shortcut making fish fingers.... she didn't do them in the oven like every normal person but put them in the toaster and the toaster basically exploded” you told Pernille shrugging your shoulders unimpressed
“Magda managed to burn down the water cattle” Pernille smirked
“Wha... HOW?” your head snapped in the blondes direction shocked
“She didn't close the lid properly and it kept boiling.... and boiling... and boiling... until there was nothing left to boil except for itself” the Danish smirked at your expression
“We should get Bayern media team to make them cook and put it out there...” you grinned “... I mean she already gets shit for the half-Jamaican thing...”
“Please no... they probably injure themselves so badly they can't play anymore and you know we have Champions League coming up” Pernille said
“.... after maybe?” you mused innocently
“No...” the Danish said firmly and you huffed disappointed
“Ba... y/n... I found your bag” you girlfriend came running over dragging your bag behind her like an excited golden retriever
“Good job” you cooed “... I'll make sure Pernille gets you a cookie”
“Why me?” the blonde looked at you frazzled
“I'm not getting in trouble with our Health and Nutrition Coach” you lifted your hands in a surrounding matter “You're not English... she can't make you run laps”
“If Stanway gets a cookie I want one too.. I got our bags” Magda suddenly appeared behind Georgia
“No one gets cookies” Pernille sighed out
“Spoilsport” your girlfriend mumbled
“Glädjemördare” Magda mumbled at the same time just as disappointed as Georgia
“Excuse me Magda Eriksson?” Pernille raised her eyebrow at her girlfriend “You do realize we're dating long enough for me to actually speak and UNDERSTAND Swedish yes?”
“What did she dare you to?” you looked interested
“She didn't dare me to do anything?” the Danish looked at you confused
“She said gibberish gibberish dare” you said like it was clear what you meant
“No søde... she said “glädjemördare”... Swedish for “joy killer”...” Pernille laughed at your language confusion
“Great... another confusing language” you rolled your eyes “Can't you guys just stick with english?”
“I can teach you all the swear words... so you can annoy Frido” Magda grinned
“You will do no such thing” Pernille scolded her girlfriend
“You will absolutely do such thing” you grinned widely
“Ehrm... y/n?” Georgia looked at you
“Yeah??” you looked at her confused
“Home?” your girlfriend asked
“Yeah... day was emotionally exhausting” you said yawning
“Will we see you tomorrow at training?” Pernille asked you
“Think so...” you shrugged your shoulders “... apparently I'm not allowed exploring by meself anymore”
“I'm not taking any chances for you to end up at the botanic garden again” Georgia exclaimed (Note: the “old botanic garden” is one of the most dangerous parts of Munich)
“It was a mistake... your directions weren't clear” you defended yourself
“I told you ENGLISH garden... not botanical!!” Georgia bursted out
“It a garden isn't it???” you asked lost
“But the wrong one...” your girlfriend pressed quiet stressed
“Yeah... you shouldn't go there søde... it's really dangerous” Pernille said seriously
“It wasn't on purpose... Georgia talked about that beautiful garden and I just googled garden and that was the nearest one...” you defended yourself “And why are you calling me soda?”
“Søde...” the Danish corrected while she ushered all of you towards the exit “... Danish”
“Great... ANOTHER language...” you huffed as you exit the baggage area to get met with quite a large crowd of fans “Oh lovely... fans... a lot of them”
“You're not a fan?” the Danish blonde asked a little alarmed
“Not really no...” you shook your head falling back a little letting Georgia go in front “... had some not so nice interactions with them”
“Magda” Pernille pulled her girlfriend back “Make sure she's okay...”
“Yes ma'am” the swede nodded seriously
“Just stay with Magda... fans get really quiet around her because she always has this scowl on her face... she'll make sure you're save” the Danish told you and pushed you next to her girlfriend
The Swedish blonde laid her arm around your shoulders pulling you into her side which you surprisingly accepted gratefully and let her lead you towards the crowd of fans
“When it gets to much tug on my shirt okay... I get you out of there in seconds” Magda mumbled through her smile she put on for some pictures
“As long as they don't invade my space too much it should be okay” you said quietly “... or touch me...”
Georgia was already in full fan interaction mode, signing stuff, taking selfies, talking to the fans a little – full package. Pernille was also signing some Jerseys and pictures while Magda tried to keep you out of the middle of the crowd. Your girlfriend glanced up every five seconds to check if you're okay even tho she knew Magda was like a pit-bull when it comes to keep people safe – nearly as bad as Lucy. But just nearly. Lucy was a whole other level.
“Magda” you whispered and you saw how the swede turned her head lightly obviously waiting for you to continue while she took some more pictures “... getting too much”
Immediately you got pulled along through the crowd and sat in the next chair that was empty while some Police were slandering over asking if everything was okay. Of course they knew who Magda was so when she told them you were on the verge of a panic attack (so not true) they offered some protection. You were so SO grateful that Magda got you out of the bunch of crazies as you call them ever since you were little and some fans ran you over you to get some autographs from Lucy – got you a free ride in the ambulance and then seven stitches to the back of your head and a free concussion on top. Since that day Lucy made sure she either carried you (which heated up the rumors about you being her daughter) or sat you on top of the baggage trolley. Now Magda took over the responsibility to keep you safe and damn she took it seriously. There was a girl about your age that started her way over to her but one glare from Magda made her change directions quickly.
“Thank you” you mumbled a little ashamed
“No problem... I know they can get a lot sometimes – even if the Bayern fans are pretty well behaved... most of the times” the swede smiled sitting down next to you “... so... you're staying with G?”
“Yeah... needed some time off” you nodded
“Off what?” the blonde asked interested
“Barcelona” you said biting your lip
“Spanish people are something else huh” Magda kept the interaction light
“Yes... you could say that” you answered quietly
“I would love to see you at training tomorrow” the blonde said suddenly “.. you make her better”
“Huh?” you looked up confused
“Georgia... she's different when you're around... better different....” the blonde said “... in love different”
“Dear jesus lord have mercy” you sighed “... not you too – is it that obvious?”
“Not to people who haven't experienced love...” Magda smiled “... but the way you look at each other - that's love Busunge”
“Did you just insult me? It sounded like an insult” you looked baffled
“No...” the swede laughed “... it means “little rascal”...”
“Why is everyone giving me weird nicknames?” you wondered out loud
“Because you are loved... I've only known you for about half an hour but it feels like I've known you forever and I want to protect you.. you have a pure soul and people see that” Magda said calmly
“Okay... now it gotten weird” you mumbled looking over to your girlfriend “... I'm not confirming nor denying anything...”
“You don't need to...” the swede smiled laying her hand on your knee in silent support “... I already know... and don't worry – no one will hear a word from me”
“Thank you” you whispered thankfully as you saw your girlfriend approaching the two of you
“Ready to go home?” Georgia asked smiling herself
“Sí” you nodded standing up “Thank you Magda... it really means a lot”
“Always Busunge... Stanway... protect her with all you have” the blonde looked at Georgia seriously and G nodded curtly
Meanwhile Lucy, Keira and the Barca woman landed in Barcelona with Keira still ignoring her ex-girlfriend. After they all got their bags and said their goodbyes Keira put herself in Lucys way
“You with me... we have something to talk about” the blonde sneered keeping her voice low
“Ona drives me home” your sister said a little scared
“No she's not... I told you we're gonna talk” Keira said simply
“But...” Lucy tried again but got shot down with just one look
“Ona can come too if she wants to” the blonde said looking at her friend
“Ehrm...” the small spaniard rubbed the back of her neck “... I actually... yeah... uh... I have to pick Coco up... yes.. See you later Babe”
And with that she was gone and left Lucy fearing for her life. She saw that look on Keiras face once before – when fans were a little too excited to see the Lionesses and pushed you around and hurt you in progress. This look on Keiras face means business. The drive to Lucys apartment was short and not enjoyable for the england defender. The atmosphere in the car was icy at best and Lucy wrecked her brain what she could've done that would make her ex that angry
“Unlock” Keira simply said gesturing to the door which Lucy follow suit and quickly unlocked it pushing it open so the blonde could step inside before following
“Who the hell do you think you are?” Keira turned around looking even more furious than before after the door fell shut
“What?” your sister asked dumb folded
“I ask... WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE??” the blonde now outright yelled
“I... can't follow” Lucy said confused
“Who do you think you are sabotaging your sister relationship like this?” Keira asked again
“I didn't...” your sister started to defend herself
“Oh you fucking did and you know it... do you know that the WHOLE TEAM planned their little getaway from you Lucy... THE. WHOLE. FUCKING. TEAM... Sarina including... you didn't even noticed how hurt Bitsy was when you shooed G away every morning at breakfast. Or how sad she got when G didn't even take her hand when we were watching analysis... Or that six out of seven days y/n came to ME crying herself to sleep at night why YOU were so angry at her and G and she seriously thought about ending it so YOU would be her sister again and not some mental deranged cunt” now Keira got really angry
“Ehrm...” at this point Lucy was at loss for words
“... you didn't realize that hurtful look in Bitsys eyes whenever you pushed yourself in between them two... YOU didn't... the rest of the Team did and Sarina helped them... your own coach helped the Team to work something out which didn't benefit you, did it now?” the blonde kept talking ignoring Lucys attempts to interrupt her “... so again... who the hell do you think you are hurting them like that?”
“I... didn't mean too” your sister started “... I just... every time I saw G near her I got so so scared she'd hurt her”
“YOU were the one hurting her Lucy” Keira pressed again
“Not on purpose!!” Lucy exclaimed “But.. it's G you know...”
“It's G... exactly... the woman who loves Bitsy with all her heart... with all her being... with everything she has... the woman who jump off a building for her or walk the Antarctica in shorts... the woman who makes sure to give her more love than she can actually offer to make up for YOUR stupid behavior...” the blonde said seriously “... she LOVES her Lucy... it makes me so sad that you can't see what we all see... these two... they are their forever Lucy....”
“That's what we thought about ourselves too one time” your sister said just as serious
“We both know that's a lie... we both realized pretty quickly that we're not our forever... but they are Lucy... just like Ona and you... G is everything to Bitsy... and more” Keira said turning around before stopping again the door handle already in her hand “... everyone needs a G in their life Lucy... I hope you don't fuck it up with yours and see that she's your forever just like G is Bitsys”
With that Keira left leaving a gob smacked Lucy behind who used the next best cupboard to sit down
“Home sweet Home” you sighed as you stepped into Georgias flat after her “... and OCD clean as always”
“Had to clean before I left” your girlfriend mumbled looking through her mail
“Babe... I love you... but you ALWAYS clean... I swear we could do a surgery in here” you grinned as you walked into the kitchen opening the fridge “... we need to go shopping”
“God Damnit fucking fuck shit” you suddenly heard Georgia swear
“What happened?” you quickly walked into the living room not used to your girlfriend swearing so openly – the occasional “fuck” yes but that?!
“I got a speeding ticket!!” your girlfriend exclaimed upset holding the letter into your face
You didn't know how to react so you did the first thing that came to mind – you bursted out laughing as you took the letter from her looking at the little black and white picture on it
“What did that picture cost you Stanway?” you laughed
“You have to give it back so I can look” your girlfriend grumbled as you already handing the letter back “... 178,50€ and a one month suspension.... fuck”
“What does that mean?” you asked looking over her shoulder
“I have to hand in me license for a month....” Georgia was pissed now – pissed at herself
“You know that you could get better pictures of yourself from fans for free right... you didn't have to do a shooting that's so expensive” you grinned smugly
“Not in the mood Baby” your girlfriend growled
“Hey... G... Baby” you softly said seeing how tense her body was “... it happened okay... nothing you can do about it... it just means you have to go to training with public transport – or maybe someone can pick you up”
“It's not that... I'm pissed at meself” Georgia grumbled her Manchester accent coming in thick
“Shit happens... I can drive if you want” you shrugged your shoulders
“I'm not giving you my Audi... I saw what that stunt guy taught you” your girlfriend looked at you shocked
“So... public transport it is then... we need to go shopping” you shrugged your shoulders walking towards the bedroom and you heard Georgia groan loudly
“What's that?” you pointed at some weird looking steaming mass at the meat counter
“Leberkäse” Georgia said “It's translated to liver cheese but it hasn't got any cheese in there... it's just meat.. normally served warm in a bun with sweet mustard”
“Sounds.... yummy” you pulled a disgusted face but smiled as soon as the saleslady looked over
“It's not bad... you wanna try it?” your girlfriend shrugged her shoulders
“No thank you” you said shaking your head slightly
“You want something else to eat? Schnitzel or Bratwurst?” Georgia asked again getting excited that for once she's the one who knew all the food instead of you
“Can't we just get some vegs and make some pasta?” you looked at your girlfriend pleadingly
“Since when are you voluntarily eat vegetables?” the blonde looked at you confused
“This looks all so.... much” you said ashamed looking at the meat counter
“We can share a Bratwurst if you like... like.. to go and then make something at home” your girlfriend offered “.... cause I'm starving”
“You're always starving” you rolled your eyes “... but sounds good”
“Okay...” Georgia smiled turning towards the saleslady “Hallo... eine Bratwurt im Brötchen bitte”
“You sound like you're choking when you speak german” you said flatly
“You want ketchup or mustard?” Georgia chose to ignore your comment looking at you expectantly
“Is it like.. a must?” you eyed the sausage carefully
“Of course not...” your girlfriend shook her head addressing the saleslady again “Entschuldigung.. wir brauchen noch eine moment”
“Des is koa problem – nehmts eich nur Zeit... wir han schliaßlich ned auf da flucht” the lady smiled
“Whatever she said” you mumbled confused “What did she say?”
“I have... a slight clue but I'm not sure – I think she said to take our time” Georgia looked a little bit lost too
“I thought you spoke German” you shook your head at her in disbelieve
“That was Bavarian... I can speak tiny little bit Bavarian... but not.. like sentence” your girlfriend answered
“Gosh... it's like Lucy and catalan all over again...” you rolled your eyes
“Ketchup? Mustard? Nothing?” Georgia asked you again
“Well... I don't know... what's authentic?” you looked again at the sausage – this was answer enough for your girlfriend
“Senf bitte” she smiled proudly at the saleslady
“Oamoi mit senf... basst” the woman smiled and squeezed an awful amount of Mustard on the sausage “Bittschee... da hobt's eier bratwurst... zwoadreisge mochts”
“Dankeschön” Georgia smiled and handed the lady some cash in trade with the sausage roll “Das passt so”
“Mei merce dia derndl” the lady smiled brightly
“Take a bite” your girlfriend looked at you with excitement “It's really good”
“It's... spicy” you said after you took a bite handing the roll back to Georgia
“So you don't like it?” her face fell slightly
“No no... it's good... just... different you know” you quickly said “... I've never had a sausage like this”
“Oh yeah... it's a weird taste at first.. but you'll love it soon – it's the best... what's also good, but A LOT is schweinshaxe” Georgia smiled happily
“Come again?” you choked on your water
“Schweinshaxe... it's deep fried pigs leg.. it's REALLY good but you need about four people to eat one portion” your girlfriend snickered at your shocked face
“A pigs leg....” you swallowed hard trying not to heave
“Trust me... sounds disgusting but is REALLY good” Georgia said as she took your hand starting towards the shopping center with her sausage roll in the other hand
Two hours later you sighed in relieve once you kicked the front door closed with your foot. You've never been a fan of shopping. But shopping in a big ass shopping mall with five million shops for everything and some more with 35 million people around who obviously understand you just to answer your questions in german was just too much for you. Also – half the stuff they sell you never heard off. For example “Obazda”. Never heard of it but apparently it's the shit under the locals. Georgia made you try it and you were 97.8% positive cyanide wouldn't taste much different. G explained that it was basically just cream cheese with brie cheese and some spices but you were sure that stuff was poisonous. Your girlfriend laughed tears when she saw your face and heard the sounds you made after you put that little testing spoon in your mouth. The second you could talk again – after you cleared your mouth with Spezi – you threatened your girlfriend with no sex for the next six month which cause G to buy you some weird looking sweet dish. She called it “Auszogne” - it was weird looking but oh SO tasty.
Back in Georgias apartment you dropped all the shopping bags and just fell face forward onto the couch with a loud grunt
“You okay?” your girlfriend poked her head inside
“Just tired” you mumbled into the pillows
“I'll quickly put away the groceries and cook something okay... stay there and rest” Georgia said and went into the kitchen
“Okay” you sighed relaxing instantly – until your brain registered what she just said and you shot up and off the couch into the kitchen “no!”
“No?” your girlfriend asked confused “No what?”
“I cook... you just... put the stuff away” you said quickly
“I can cook” Georgia said a little offended
“The last time you set fire to the potatoes” you deadpanned “FIRE G – I didn't even know potatoes could burn even less catch fire”
“They were dry from the beginning” your girlfriend defended herself
“No Baby... they weren't... so you do groceries I do food” you smirked and Georgia rolled her eyes and grumbled a little bit as she started to put away the shopping
“Fuck me” your girlfriend moaned as she ate the first fork of the dinner you made
“Been there – done that” you smirked but started to eat too
“Where and when did you learn to do.... that?” Georgia gestured in between your plates
“Making pasta? Pretty much when Lucy fled to Spain and left me to fend for me own” you said shrugging your shoulders
“She didn't flee.... she did what was right for her career” G looked at you “... like when I went to Munich... sometimes you have to make decisions you don't really wanna make”
“Yeah I get that... it was the way it happened” you said avoiding your girlfriends eyes
“What do you mean?” Georgia looked confused before taking another fork full of pasta
“You know how I found out Lucy was transferred to Barcelona? Through the media... she didn't tell me herself – I found out through Instagram” you said and G noticed how your voice changed
“Hey... calm down” your girlfriend said taking your hand on the table “... maybe she just didn't know how to tell you...”
“She had no problem telling me she's going to Lyon” you pointed out
“I... don't know what her reasons were but I'm sure she had some” Georgia said a little lost
“Oh I can tell you the reason... the reason was.... is... Ona Batlle” you smiled sarcastic “... You know Lucy and Keira basically split after the Euros... and like.. 8 month later there's the first speculation about a new girl at her side??”
“Ehrm....” now you lost Georgia completely
“Sorry... I really don't want to talk about Lucy.... what are tomorrows plans?” you took a deep breath “And more importantly... where is Giovanni”
“Tomorrow... training at 4... other than that? Nothing?” your girlfriend was glad about the topic change “... and Giovanni... waiting in the bedroom for you”
“Perfect... didn't you tell me you wanted to take me out for breakfast?” you smirked sweetly
“Oh I see how it is... spending all me money why don't you” Georgia rolled her eyes smiling
“Says the woman who has to pay a 180 bucks fine for speeding” you shot back
“And here I thought you love me” your girlfriend grumbled offended
“I do love you... I've never cooked for anyone else than myself before” you pointed your fork at her a slight glint in her eyes
“And it's delicious...” Georgia quickly said
“I better fucking hope so.... I kinda want to do that for a living one day” you answered smiling
“You do?” your girlfriend looked at you surprised
“Yeah.... since Keira left too I was looking after myself – so I started to cook
“Morning...” you heard Georgia mumble into your neck pulling you closer into her
“Go back to sleep... it's still dark outside” you grumbled but melted into her
“That... are the blinds Baby... it's actually 9” your girlfriend chuckled
“Ugh fuck me... you're awake aren't you?” you groaned
“Yeah...” Georgia said a little embarrassed
“Ugh” you groaned again “... go... running or something... I want to sleep”
“I thought about taking you out for breakfast... I promise it's worth it... Avo-Toasts as many as you can eat” your girlfriend nuzzled into your neck
“Orange juice?” you asked your eyes still closed
“As much as you can drink” you could feel G grin into the back of your neck “... and a shower before we leave”
“I swear Stanway if you drag me out of bed for a shitty coffee I tell Lucy we had sex with her sleeping on the couch” you grinned evilly and your grin widened when you felt your girlfriend tense behind her
“You... wouldn't right?” Georgia asked carefully knowing fully well which situation you talked about
“Get me good coffee and I won't.... my dear” you said sweetly as you stood up walking towards the bathroom leaving your baffled girlfriend behind before turning around “You coming?”
Seconds later you heard the blankets rustle and Georgias naked feet on the hard wood floor.
“Oh god... this is GOOD” you moaned shamelessly at your first sip of coffee
“Could you please not act like you're shooting a porn right now... it's just coffee” Georgia said turning bright red looking around if someone looks
“You should be able to tell me moans apart Stanway” you shot back not caring who's listening – you haven't even had your first coffee yet
“Oh god” your girlfriend groaned embarrassed “Just... keep drinking...”
“What a sight for sore eyes” you suddenly heard behind you and your head shot up
“Seriously??? Munich has like... 500 million people and YOU find me amongst them?” you asked the person behind you without turning around
“I told you... I'll always be able to find you... Liefje” the person answered and you could hear the smirk in her voice
“You sound like a stalker... and don't call me Liefje... only ONE Gouda-head is allowed to call me that – and the last time you weren't her” you smirked as well still with your back to that persona
“I'm gonna tell your precious Head coach you called her a Gouda-head...” the person said a little offended
“Oh I called her far worse to her face... so by all means... be me guest” you continued smirking
“I gladly be your guest” the person said pulling a chair over to your table and flopping down trying to steal your coffee
“First and only warning... If you try to grab me coffee again I'm going to shoot your feet with a nailgun” you growled holding your cup out of her reach
“Hello too you to Baijings” now Georgia grumbled feeling left out
“What's up Stanny?” the Netherlands player grinned opting for stealing half of your avocado toast
“May I ask why you crush our breakfast?” your girlfriend asked a little irritated
“Actually just walked past and saw that... sweetheart over here through the windows and thought I'd say hi...” the blonde said before biting into your toast “Shit that's good stuff” she moaned which made you laugh
“Stop moaning like you shooting a porn” you threw your girlfriends words in your friends face laughing
“Sweetie... you know what I sound like when I REALLY moan” the dutch threw back which caused Georgia to choke on her tea
“Excuse me?” your girlfriend coughed
“Get your mind out of the gutter Stanny...” the blonde waved off “... I stayed with Viv in England for a week and so did the gremlin here... apparently the walls were very thin”
“Scarred me for life” you mumbled disgusted before you tried to bite into the other half of your Avo-toasts only to have it taken out of your hand by Jill “Come on now” you whined
“You snooze you lose” the dutch shrugged her shoulders
“G...” you whined looking with puppy eyes at your girlfriend “... por favor”
“Por what?” your girlfriend looked confused
“Damnit... spaniard again.... these paella eating shrimp lovers mushed me brain....” you snipped your fingers “.. please...”
Your girlfriend just sighed and waved the waitress over to order you another avocado toast.
“German sounds so weird...” you said as a matter of fact after the waitress whose Nametag said her name was Dinara left again “... but not as weird as dutch”
“Excuse me?” Jill exclaimed starting to cough a second later
“Please die more quietly on that toast thank you” you smirked satisfied that you threw her off guard
“One day I'll get you back for all those mean comments I tell ya” the blonde pointed an accusing finger at you
“Be... my... guest” you grinned
“Are you happy to wait here Baby?” Georgia asked her voice low as you just found a seat in the shade at the Bayern trainings ground
“Sure... I'm gonna watch you and tell you afterwards if you're able to be a pain to Barca” you grinned and your girlfriend quickly looked left and right before pressing a lightning quick kiss to your cheek
“There she is.. my favorite player” Alexander greeted you happily and came over to hug you for your girlfriend to look absolutely offended
“I'm here too” she huffed out
“We all know she's my favorite... nice work with Rubiales... looked like you got him good... did he need stiches?” the Norwegian asked grinning widely
“Sadly not.. but it was definitely broken” you grinned proudly back
“Such an amazing bitch move” the Trainer couldn't stop grinning
“Thank you... just to let you know... I don't hold back for anyone...” you now smirked
“So Georgia... starting XI the whole season... how does that sound?” the Norwegian laughed understanding you immediately
Your girlfriend just huffed rolled her eyes and turned to leave
“You need more than her if you want to scratch Barcas ego” you looked at him seriously “I watched them train... you need something”
“Giving me tips so we can win over your sister?” the trainer grinned
“No... I'm giving you tips so you can annoy them...” you shrugged your shoulders “They won two titles already... they only have the Coppa and the Champions League left... I want you to at least annoy them... and not annoy them with rough play – I want you to annoy them with your skills... Harder, Eriksson, Stanway, Viggó, Guili... you got good players... use them”
“Give me a little more” the man got serious
“The player you want to have an eye on is Salma... don't let her run – she a freaking sprinter... have a player on her all the time... Caro is fast as well... she always comes over the right wing... her connection to Aitana is unmatched...” you started seriously “... Alexia is dangerous in general – from far, near or in private... don't let her get the ball on her left foot... Ona and Aitana are dangerous because they're small and agile – one second they're on you right and a split second later they're on your right... they all have an amazing ball control... but they're not.. flawless” you pulled a face when you said flawless getting a flashback.
“Thanks y/n... greatly appreciated” the Norwegian nodded and left to start training
You watched the girl train for a bit before closing your eyes relaxing in the shade with the players shouting for the ball or the pass or whatever. Lucy always said since you were a wee baby you were able to fall asleep with thousands of people screaming around you without any problems. When it would be quiet tho you screamed your head off yourself – up to this day you didn't like it when it was totally quiet. So even now it wasn't a problem for you to nap away until you felt a presence in front of you. When you opened one eye you saw your slightly panting girlfriend leaning on the railing smiling at you
“Yeah?” you asked a little dazed
“We're done... I'm heading for the shower... you wait here or outside?” Georgia smiled
“Gonna wait here... got comfortable” you yawned
“Okay... Gonna be quick” your girlfriend smiled pushing herself off the railing walking into the tunnel
You looked around and noticed you were really alone at the trainings facility. You were alone except for a stray ball in the corner. One for being raised with cleaning up a field after training you slandered over to the ball and picked it up. What you didn't expect was that the ball slipped out of your hands and bounces off the ground. Like on autopilot you started to do keep upsies while walking down the sideline. The ball bounced off your feet easily until you didn't got the angle right and it bounced away further into the field. You jogged after it kicking it up again before catching it on your forehead balancing it a little before letting the ball fall again catching it this time with the inside of your right foot holding it there for a second before starting to perform a few tricks.
Unknowns to you Georgia came back wanting to get you so you could go home to find you walking down the sideline playing with a ball. She quickly pulled out her phone starting to record a video when the ball bounced off your foot wrongly and rolled into the middle of the field. Your girlfriend thought you were done know knowing from stories how easily irritated you became at times but to her surprise you kept going. So she kept filming. After watching (and filming) you some more your girlfriend carefully retreated back into the tunnel giving you some more time with the ball for the first time in what felt to you like forever. Even tho you didn't play for over three years know you still could feel it. The way the ball bounces on your foot. The way the grass felt under your soles. The strength you needed to play it higher. You remembered it all.
When you were done you chipped the ball into one of the ball containers on the side of the field before making your way towards the tunnel and the locker rooms.
“Stanway...” you said entering the locker room to find everyone gone except your girlfriend who just dried her hair “... Babe you're still not done??” you whined
“Yeah sorry... got caught up with Guilia” your girlfriend smiled apologetic
“I'm getting hungry” you said and right on cue your stomach rumbled
“Yeah lets go..” Georgia said getting her bag and holding out her hand for you to take
“I thought Chinese...” you said as the door closed behind you not knowing your girlfriend send her video all the way to Barcelona to her best friend who received the message with the capture
When Keira clicked on the video tears sprung immediately into her eyes and she began to silently happy cry
“I think she's home”

Miguel O'hara as a cat
word count: 2,7 k
summary: Your boyfriend is just like a cat, but he doesn't accept it. Maybe all it takes is an encounter with an anomaly to change his perception.
warnings: Miguel x Spider!Reader, apparent death of someone, fluff?
Hi guys!!! I took a break from the main series because I couldn't focus and I don't want to give you a lazy work. Besides, I also don't think I would do it justice, it is a great idea and I want to execute it right!
Anyway, I had this idea for quite some time, and I finally decided to write it. I was inspired by this tiktok and also this beautiful drawing by @sweetimpurity
Part 2 >>
Tumblr media
Part 1
Miguel O’Hara is the definition of a cat. Not a cat person no, a literal cat
Not only his personality, but also the way some people view him. He literally seems cold, out of love, that he doesn’t care about anyone, but you know another story
Just like with a cat, you only had to understand Miguel’s love language. Obviously, first, you had to break down all the walls he built around himself, but that’s another story.
The comparison between Miguel and cat popped in your head not long after you two started dating.
That man could go from being angry, rough and asserting dominance to his employees to begging for love, asking for cuddles and resting on top of you in a span of minutes.
Besides, he probably thinks he is slick when he steals your crunches, but you notice every damn time. The worst thing is you don’t know where he hides them, you’ve searched everywhere!!
When you were a child, you’ve always wanted a cat, but you didn’t think you would be stuck with a man that acts like one. Not that you are complaining tho.
It was always tricky trying to love on him. For example, if you went up to his office and attacked him with kisses and hugs, 90% of the time he would tense up and tell you that he was working, and that he would pay attention to you later. You never took it the wrong way, you knew he was a busy man, and you were aware of what you were getting yourself into.
But that other 10%? Oh, those were dangerous. Those were the times you appeared in the precise moment were he craved love, were he craved you. Not sexually no, (I mean, obviously sometimes yes), but there were times he just needed to hold you close, cuddle you, feel your scent in his skin. Only you could calm him down.
Today was one of those days
You entered Miguel’s office with a skip on your step. You’ve always been a happy person, everyone knew that, which is why everyone thought it was weird you ended up with Miguel, but opposites attract right?
Darkness swallowed the office, as usual. The only source of light being the screens on Miguel’s platform. As if he knew you were coming, the platform was just a few centimeters above the ground, saving you the time of swinging to it.
“Hi Miggyy” you said, jumping into the platform and hugging your boyfriend from behind, wrapping your arms around his waist and wresting your chin in his back.
“Hola amor” he replied, turning as much as he could to see you, with you wrap around his middle. “Come here.”
He grabbed your arm, pulling you towards his front, so he could hug you properly. You didn’t resist, you round him and pressed your cheek against his chest, standing on your toes.
Miguel embraced you without wasting a second, pulling you flush against his form, barely letting space between you too, but enough to let you breath.
He kissed the top of your head rapidly a few times before giving you a long kiss on the crown of your head while also smelling. He pulled away, sighed contently and rested his chin on your head.
“Are you tired Mig?” you mumbled, feeling sleepy yourself.
“Mmm” was all he said, kissing your head again and stroking your back with one of his hands, while the other remained on your waist holding your weight and to keep you close.
“Why don’t we sit, mm?” you said, pulling back a little, causing a groan to emit from him. “Sshh, I knoww.” you coo, caressing his cheek with the back of your hand. Using his shoulders as support, you stretched yourself as high as you could to peck his lips. As you opened your eyes while pulling away, you couldn’t help but smile.
Miguel was so sleepy. His eyes barely open, face peaceful, all the lines caused by the stress gone, lips in a pout, mumbling about something, too incoherent for you to understand.
You giggled to yourself. No one would believe their angry, moody boss was putty in your hands right now.
You would stay like this forever, admiring him, but you knew he was going to get even more moody if you didn’t cuddle with him in the next five minutes.
“Okay Mig,” you said, planting the palm of your hands in his broad chest. “step back, let me guide you to the chair.”
“Mmm” was all he answered, making you bite your lip to suppress a giggle.
Carefully, you guided Miguel, who was walking backwards, to his chair. Once the back of his legs hit it, he sat down, pulling you on top of him by the waist, without wasting a second.
“Migueel” you squealed.
"Stop moving" he mumbled against your neck, tickling you in the process.
“Stop making me laugh then” you replied, trying to push him off, as a result he grabbed you tighter and pressed you against his chest. You pressed your cheek against his head, trying to get comfortable, as his head was between your neck and shoulder, nose nestled just were they connect.
As seconds went by, you could feel Miguel’s breath against your skin. His chest was raising up and down slower every time, your own breath, your scent and you playing with his hair luring him to sleep. You were his safe place, as he was yours.
The peace didn’t last long. The quiet and wholesome moment was rudely interrupted by the screens flashing and Lyla appearing in front of the both of you.
“Wake up love birds,” she chirped. “Duty calls.”
Miguel groaned loudly against your neck, taking his hand away from your waist to swat Lyla away.
“Sendanotherteam” Miguel drawled.
“What was that?” Lyla asked, fixing her glasses
“Send another team!” he snarled, taking his face away from your cozy frame.
“Sorry can’t do” Lyla replied. “It is a busy day, no one else is available.”
Before Miguel got angrier, you decided to interject, “It is okay Migs. We go together and we will be back in no time” you said, stroking his cheek and chest, aiming to calm him down.
He looked down at you with tired eyes. You smiled at him, and he mirrored it.
“Okay.” he said, standing up, lifting you with him. He kissed your cheek before putting you down on the floor.
“What’s the anomaly Lyla?” Miguel asked.
“Earth-232997A, there is a variant of the Lizard..” Lyla answered
“Let me guess,” you interrupted, crossing your arms and arching your brow “transforming everyone in lizards?”
“Not exactly” she replied “He is transforming everyone in animals. Apparently they transform in the animal their personality is closest to”
“Well, that’s new.” you said laughing “Hope it doesn’t get to you Migs, or we will be stuck with two Spider-cats”
“I am not a cat” he objected, rolling his eyes, fumbling with his watching, inserting the digits to the desired dimension
“I have to agree with y/n here.” Lyla insisted. “You do behave like a cat.” You two bumped fits, making Miguel groan.
“Whatever” he mumbled, “let’s go amor” he continued, while opening the portal.
The portal manifested itself across from you, past Miguel.
“Ohh, don’t get grumpy mi vida” you pouted, walking to the portal “You are my kitty”. You tickled him below his chin, before laughing and rushing to the portal.
As you entered the new dimension, from the rooftop you were in, you could see the chaos this variant was causing. Animals roamed the streets alarmed, and the people who still weren’t transform, were just as confused.
“I am not a cat” you heard behind you. You turned to look at your boyfriend, as the portal disappeared behind him.
You giggled. You couldn’t believe he was taking this so seriously. “I know Mig” you said. “I was kidding, love.” you were not.
You walked up to him and tried to kiss him, but he lifted his head, acting annoyed. You pouted, kissing his chest instead.
“Alright, where is this Lizard?” you questioned, turning around to scan the city.
“Most animals are running from the north to the south” Miguel replied, joining you on the edge of the roof “I suggest we start there”
“Good, let’s go” you said, materializing your mask on your face before swinging off.
With Miguel following, you swung across the city looking for the lizard. There were animals EVERYWHERE. Some looked like the lizard, but you figured he was going to have a weapon in his hands, and you hadn’t seen any yet.
After what felt like an hour searching, you decided to stop on the side of the building to catch your breath. Miguel dropped next to you and took of his mask.
“Any luck?” he said, sounding out of breath too.
“No, I didn’t see him, you?” you answered. He shook his head, scanning the city.
You nodded, and proceeded to do the same.
“There!” You exclaimed, pointing down. The Lizard was walking the street two blocks away.
Miguel took the initiative and swung his way.
As you were approaching from the air, he turned around, sensing you. He jumped around, aiming his weapon towards Miguel and yourself. The beam that emanated came right at you, but Miguel and you jumped out of the way, dodging it.
“Don’t let him hit you” Miguel shouted at you. “I don’t want to get stuck with a dog” he joked.
“Hey!” you exclaimed, but you couldn’t help but laugh.
The Lizard continued to aim the weapon between you and Miguel, you both jumping around trying to distract him from one another, to let the other have a clear flank to attack. But he was good. It didn’t help that he had a long tail, preventing you or Miguel from attacking him from behind.
You were growing tired. All this jumping around wasn’t doing shit, only making you lose energy.
“Miguel!” You screamed between jumps. “I am going front, I am tired of waiting”. Without wasting any second, you threw yourself to the Lizard.
Thankfully, he was looking at Miguel, so you managed to punch him in the face. He was strong, so it only disorientated him a little bit, stumbling back.
You took advantage of the distraction and webbed the weapon, trying to take it off his hands, but the lizard recovered fast. He used his tail to knock you off your feet, making you lose your grip on your web.
You tried to stand up as fast as you could, but it was too late. The Lizard used his tail again to tie your feet together and punched you in the face, throwing you down in the floor. You hit your head pretty badly, making your eyes glossy and everything blurry.
You could hear the sound of a fight around you, probably Miguel trying to keep the Lizard occupied, distracting him from your vulnerable state.
Your vision came to you little by little. Every second that passed, it became neater. You lifted your hands to your face, seeing them clearly. Your brain was still screaming at you, the back of your head burning from the impact.
You sat up slowly, still trying to pay attention to the sounds of the fight, listening if Miguel needed help. You touched the back of your neck, looking for injuries, but there were any. Thank god, it could have been nasty.
Carefully, you stood up on your feet, testing your balance. You were okay, good. Now back to the fight.
As you turned around, you saw how the Lizard threw Miguel towards the nearest wall. Debris, posters and cardboard falling on top of him.
“Miguel!” you shouted, running towards him.
He didn’t move, he was probably unconscious. Please Miguel, please. Move! you thought as you were sprinting towards the Lizard, but you were far away, and your brain wasn’t cooperating.
The anomaly aimed his weapon towards Miguel, and you couldn’t reach him in time.
“Hey!” you screamed “YOU BIG UGLY LIZARD” you tried to get his attention, but he didn’t budge.
He shoot the weapon, and in the place where your lovely boyfriend was laying, there was nothing.
“NO!!” you cried. “What did you do!?”.
You were angry. This wasn’t supposed to happen.
You charged towards the Lizard at full force.
Miguel wasn’t dead, he couldn’t be. He was just a really small animal. Yeah! That was it. You said to yourself, trying to convince yourself that your boyfriend was still alive.
The Lizard loaded the weapon again, aiming at you, but this time you were ready. As he was about to shoot it, you shot a web towards its opening, prohibiting the beam to escape.
The weapon overloaded, which made it explode in the hands of the Lizard.
Now, without the weapon, the anomaly wasn’t that powerful. Thanks to your webs and your new founded speed, you tied him up in no time, and threw him on one of Miguel’s cages.
As soon as you made sure he was locked, you ran to where Miguel was supposed to be.
“Mig?” you said carefully. He wasn’t there. He was a big man, 90% of the times you could see him in plain sight. Tears began to well up in your eyes.
“Mig” you whispered. You dropped to your knees now fully crying, not being able to stay strong anymore.
Tears were streaming down your face, wetting your cheeks and falling to your legs. You covered your face with your hands, sobbing into them. You began shaking uncontrollably. What were you supposed to do? How could you tell everyone what happened? THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE EASY! You were supposed to capture this anomaly and go back to cuddle. And now you were alone.
Between your sobs, you heard rustling near you. Maybe you shouldn’t be crying in the ground when there are a lot of wild animals running around. You know they are people, but you don’t know if they keep their conscience, one could attack you.
Regaining some control over your body, still weak from all the crying and the fight, you stood up, dusting your legs. You rubbed your eyes, wiping your tears away. As you were turning to take the Lizard back to HQ, you heard more rustling coming from below the card boards and debris that fell over Miguel.
Right in front of your eyes, a blue and red Maine Coon wobble out, looking confuse. It stretch himself, before looking around and spotting you. You looked at him wide eyed. A blue cat? you thought Those aren’t normal, but again, you ARE in other dimension.
It walked towards you and stopped at your feet, sat over his back legs and gazed up at you. It meowed at you, as urging you to do something.
“Do you want me to pick you up?” you asked, hoping it would understand.
It meowed at you again, before standing up and rubbing his body against your legs.
“Okay, okay buddy” You said, before bending down and picking the cat up. It was a tricky action, given that the cat stretched out was as tall as half as you. And he weighted too.
“There you go, bud” you mumbled, looking at the beautiful cat, now in your arms. You swayed your body, as trying to make a baby sleep, and the cat started purring, closing his eyes.
“I wish Mig could see you” you sighed, looking at him. That made him stop purring, and look at you.
“What?” you asked. Why is it looking at me like that?
The cat meowed and trill, headbutting your chin. Wait! A blue and red gigantic cat. THIS WAS YOUR MIGGY
“Miggy?” you asked, before getting your hopes up in vain. The cat purred and headbutted you again.
“MIGGYYY” you squealed, holding the cat from beneath his front legs with your arms stretched. “I told you you were a kitty”. At that, he hissed.
“Oh, I am so sorry darling” you said, pulling him close to your chest and kissing his head multiple times, at which he purred.
“Let’s get you back at HQ, hmm?” you said
And with that, you opened a portal to Miguel’s dimension and threw the Lizard into it, before hugging Miguel to your chest and crossing the threshold.

Suna had asked you to meet him at the kids park near the school. This wasn't a normal request, but it wasn't too out-of-the-ordinary either. Maybe he simply wanted to hang out and thought that would be the easiest spot to meet up?
You sighed while sitting at the swings, aimlessly kicking your feet and causing your body to gently rock between the strong chains. Your phone had yet to receive a notif from Suna about his arrival.
"Practice is probably just taking some extra time."
You whispered to yourself, a quiet excuse as you watched the orange and red hues of the sunset dye the fluffy clouds adorning the sky. Your first date with Suna was at the sunrise, an accident date after you pulled an all-nighter for exams and he had early morning practice.
Deciding to get fresh air, you stepped out of your front door, yawning and stretching as you peeked into your mailbox?
"Y/n?"
His voice rang like soft silk, making your head slowly turn to the side. You smiled up at your newly established boyfriend, Suna, greeting him with an enthusiastic, yet groggy voice,
"Rintarō!"
Said man slowed from his jog to stand in front of you, curiously asking what you were doing up so early, then chuckling at your explanation. He shook his head, giving you a once-over as he cocked his head,
"Let's walk a little? Sunrise is soon."
Maybe it was fitting, that this would all end the same way it would begin. What goes up, must always come down, just as the sun must rise and set.
He seemed off, your head tilted to the side curiously as Suna shuffled towards you in his tracksuit. You smiled up at him from the swings,
"How was practice, Rintarō?"
"Fine."
Quick, curt, straightforward. You blinked at the rushed response, awkwardly laughing it off. Maybe practice was rough. Clearing your throat you continued to sway on the swing set, awkwardly beginning,
"So... what are we meeting here for?"
Suna paused, almost hesitant as he sighs, turning to look awa from you. Your eyes trail his blank face, his sharp eyes snapping from the sand to your face. What was the kindest way to let you down? Maybe there was none, not that it really mattered to him.
"Let's end this. Us."
"End this?"
You echoed, voice strained and eyes blown wide. you wanted to stand up, argue, plead, scream, but your knees felt like jelly as you watched how his flat eyes looked you up and down.
"Yeah. 'S not like I've actually been interested in you."
How could he say these things? Out of the blue? You genuinely believed this was going well! Walking each other home, studying together, helping with homework. Sharing notes. Was.... was he leeching off of you? He never really studied... And 'helping' was a generous way to describe giving him answers. It was obvious. It was never real.
"Sorry, but, I'm not into you like that. You're cool and everything, but...."
He trailed off, but his words became nothing more than buzzing, hollow, meaningless attempts at comfort. Your eyes burned from not blinking, meek voice asking him as though his answer would ever help you.
"Why?"
Even Suna felt bad for the answer he had to give you. He knew it was sick, and to see the way your eyes swelled up with tears made him regret ever agreeing. Was 3000 yen really worth it? Worth making an a girl cry, one who was so undeserving of such treatment. He sighed, shaking away his guilt to deal with later.
"....Was a bet."
You knew, the moment those words slipped from his mouth, everything you ever knew broke away. Your life was permanently changed after five months of something you thought was real was nothing more than a sick joke.
Silence filled the space between the both of you, and Suna gave a polite farewell, turning around and leaving for you to silently tear up as the sky turned dark navy.

_________________________________________
The grass was rough and patchy in the backyard, filled to the brim with wilted daisies and weeds crawling through the sprinklers. It was hardly worth a note of much consideration, as there had been nothing of great importance to discuss. There were many trees boarding the house. Pine or oak, maybe. And one dying cherry tree that was a stand alone in the yard. That was about the extent of anything substantial past the old silver fence that matched your shoes.
Nearest the house, under the shade, were several lawn chairs designated for the so-called "chaperones". The older brothers and sisters of the tweens. But really, it was nothing more than a cover-up.
Something to appease the parents' of the Hargrove house because Max knew it was odd to be friends with a group of kids the same age as her brother. Even her mother, who'd tried to remain impartial to any situation, narrowed her eyes and shifted her purse tighter when the suggestion of more than a couple 17 year old's parading around her house came.
Your mom was just happy you got along, let alone made some real friends outside the books, and encouraged the notion. More parental control, she reasoned. Less chances you were off with someone who intended on trouble.
Of course, all the shit about fighting monsters and being on the brink of death with these same friends wasn't factored in.
But no one besides them and the sheriff's deputy needed to know that.
The first time you had met the kids was, admittedly, what one would refer to as a kerfuffle. Riled up and trying to be dominant. Of course, because Billy was there, it spiraled even farther, and someone's head nearly got bashed into a rock.
That someone being you of obviously, after you'd been goaded into the fight and decided to step up. And boy, did Billy hate to lose. Hated being talked down to by a smaller kid who barely had pimples left on his face, let alone bulk.
You put up a good fight. You had a mean hit, especially the lick you gifted to Billy's chest, knocking the wind out of him when it connected. There was a bruise on his ribcage for days after and all the satisfaction he could possibly imagine at knowing it was from you.
But then he nearly killed you so, things turned sour rather quickly.
Which led to a rather impromptu welcome into the group of misfits, the lot of them. Unannounced and unexpected, you marched into the party after your small break down. Ready to be let in and accepted.
Finding out about the Upside Down was a mere accident.
You hadn't gone out of your way to befriend a group of children. Hadn't expected much in regards to friendship period even after getting your ass kicked by Billy Hargrove. Let alone a lifetime, one built from the shared experience of the horrors that lurk just underneath town, attached to one particular boy of the group.
But here you were. Standing in the backyard of Max's home like an idiot with the sun bearing down at your back. The late summer day nearly reached over 100 degrees as the clock neared the noon hour. Something you might have missed otherwise if it wasn't for the black analog watching you closely every time you renetered the house for a drink.
The main gaggle of kids swam and screamed every few seconds, trying to drag you into a half-baked game of Marco Polo that had the older Hawkins teens eyeing each other with concern.
You tapped the top of your can to ease the anxiety, looking around the edge of the yard again, past Max's mother, who waved awkwardly and would come around every so often, offering drinks or food to you, Nancy, and Jonathan.
"Nervous?" Jonathan prodded in his way, looking up from the half eaten sandwhich Will had taken two large bites from, making sure he had gotten his fill and packing it away when he received two big thumbs up from his little brother before he rentered the pool.
"Ah. " You leaned against the lawn chair, rolling your neck before looking over. "Expecting Billy to jump out from one of these corners, " you gesture towards the many hiding places you have spotted in the yard. "cause a scene. "
Nancy shifted uncomfortably, twisting her skirt slightly. "Not yet, at least. " She added while fidgeting with the button over the waist. "I thought he'd show up at least half-way through this thing. "
"Yeah, " you agreed, "thats why I'm–"
"On edge?" Jonathan filled in for you, a soft smile gracing his lips as Will looked over.
"Ready, he means. " Mike piped up, his hand was fully plunged into the cooler chest, blindly shifting around the ice as he looked over at the three.
Something in the tension held firm in the pit of your stomach, because the only times that this happened was whenever a confrontation was supposed to take place.
And judging from all the past events that had occurred, however mundane or fantastical they may be, this was probably going to end badly in more than just a couple of ways.
You'd managed to keep pretty calm in the past concerning Billy. Kept a level head about whatever shit he'd decided to cause that week. But something felt wrong today. That air in your gut had been hard to shake.
And the fact he had yet to make an appearance so far, did very little in easing you. And apparently everyone else involved.
"Don't know what his fucking problem is. " You curse, sitting up in the chair, "Never waits long to start shit."
In fact, you can almost pinpoint the time he entered the premises, an excuse to blame him for the sudden tightening in your gut and the goosebumps on your skin. Yet, he hadn't entered the backyard once since he got home. He stayed holed up in his room the entire day and that much was evident every time you, or Nancy, or Jonathan or one of the kids entered the house and heard the rock music blasting from his bedroom.
He hadn't even made a shadow to have showed his face.
For hours you waited.
Hours of worry and unease ate away at your gut while the rest of the party commenced unhindered.
And yet, it seemed all but for nothing in the grand scheme of things. Because as the sun started to lower from its zenith, you and the rest grew more tired and eventually, the temperature started to cool to a point where splashing around in the pool was no longer appropriate.
The kids came clamoring out, dripping in more chemicals than water, screaming and laughing in the process. It was getting near the five hour mark by then.
Your mind was heavy when you stood up to go inside, nearly tripping when your eyes clashed with the eldest person in the home, the both of you freezing awkwardly in the middle of the walk.
Both you and Max's mother were silent in each others presence. Stoic if there was ever a word for it.
Neil always seemed to be staring off into nothing, zoned out to some far away place only those who drowned themselves in alcohol and other momentary pleasures existed. They didn't interact, besides maybe the occasional conversation starter, or nod in passing whenever a person came too close for an inch of comfort. Not unusual in your opinion of strained marriages.
You began to speak, went to get yourself out of this weird positioning you've seemed to found yourself in. But Susan beat you to it.
"Can you do me a favor?" She beckoned before turning around and trotting off into the kitchen. Already assuming you would listen. You usually did. There weren't any hidden agendas for her actions and nothing against you personally.
She held some power that you wished wasn't. You would take just about any job that required you to be away from the current obstacles of your personal life. But as she turned back to look at you with that indescribable air and knowing nod, she had beaten you.
"Whats up?" You replied, voice more gravely then you meant it to be as you walked up behind her. She was sticking something into the microwave.
"Bye, Y/N/N. " Nancy had emerged from the Hargrove bathroom when she stood on her toes to place a friendly kiss on your cheek before joining Jonathan.
"See ya, Nance. " You say as the dark haired girl glided away, passing a wave to Jonathan and then they were out the front door.
The house was mostly empty now with nearly all the kids back home, and Dustin and Max tucked away in her room, waiting for Dustin's mother. There was enough silence now that you were itching to leave. The house had settled quiet, but you couldn't describe it as comfortable. There was a ribbed blanket across the couch that had obviously been sat on by its dishelved look.
The TV was on but the volume had been lowered so much that you were better off listening to Billy's faint music from down the hall for entertainment.
Water rushed from somewhere on the other side of the house and the distinct slam of a door being pulled shut gave you the visual to what you were hearing. Your little brother, most likely. You'd seen him dip down the hallway like he was about to shit himself the moment Nancy exited the bathroom.
You shifted around, placing your backside agaisnt the counter as you found new things to look at. Languidly, you watched, senses picking out different things around the house to latch on to. The light green walls, the ugly brown patterns on the carpet, the hum of the refrigerator that, strangely enough, harbored no family photos, just magnets with various corny sayings.
Your eyes lingered on the fridge.
Everything here was simple. Blank like a fresh canvas of dry paint. Apart from the dishes left in the sink and the few items of clothing to be picked up off the ground, it felt oddly wrong for an occupied residence.
"Y/N?"
A shift in the environment rippled over your skin and something felt charged but not in a fearful sort of way. You're pulled from your small internal worry by the same woman from before.
"Billy hasn't come from his room all day, mind taking this to him?"
Susan's got a glass plate in her hand, slightly extended our towards you. It's filled at every turn with food she'd transfered from the tupperware after the ding of the microwave you hadn't quite heard.
That same gut feeling crawled up your insides again, but you blamed the way your throat tightened on the anxiety. Why it was something now and not earlier, you can't be sure.
But, if there's one thing you learned from movies and popular tv shows, it's never to interrupt the motherfucker when he's listening to rock. But, here's your excuse. So, with a small nod and the plate in your hand, you try to shake it all away.
Because the worst that could happen is you get your ass beat again.
Stepping up to the wood slated door gave your lungs a run for their money. It was as if all the air had been sucked from the atmosphere and the pressure collapsed the walls around you. Only breathing through your nose you shook the fear away with a raised fist to the door, clenched the plate in your opposite hand.
Bass rattled through the floor and past the wooden door, you're graced with the faint sounds of the guitar on the stereo. There were bits of vocals in the background, a baritone voice that spoke. And perhaps that was part of the appeal. Your fingers danced on the metal that resided at the entrance. It felt cool on your skin.
You knocked again after a few seconds. Nothing sounded on the other side of the door but you were still unsure if Billy could hear you above the music. Maybe he'd turn it down once his father returned from whatever place he'd ventured off to in the night. But you didn't exactly have that time to be waiting around, despite your own fathers late tendencies.
You took a moment to think if you should just leave the plate on the floor, let him pick it up, and try to call a ride. You exhaled quickly, shifting your balance onto your other hip.
Before you even touched the doorknob with a single digit, the music turned down significantly and suddenly the atmosphere was more intense than you'd anticipated.
Which, was the new normal.
But, still.
Things felt off. The pressure in your bones caused your limbs to rise upward, to defend yourself, to at least put yourself in some position that wouldn't leave you open to attack.
For what?
You didn't know.
Because all Billy did was peer up at you from the crack in his door. Nothing significant yet his stare was nothing less than striking. Those blue things could put the oceans to shame, rivaling even the sky in its vivid colors. They were a mirror.
They shifted to the food, briefly. Then immediately returned back to you as the speaker could barely emit its sound.
You watched as the boy straightened, sighed and then opened the door wider, leaving the frame unguarded as he trailed off into his room.
The door held open but his gaze disappeared into the space on his mattress, and the music lowered a touch, no longer loud enough to break the door from its hinges but loud enough that Billy had to raise his voice over it to be properly heard.
You took a cautious step forward after staring at the boys backside, his attire didn't leave much to imagination but his half nude state was the least of your discernment seeing as one, you were fashioned the same way and two, Billy Hargrove was wordlessly inviting you into his room.
You thought maybe this was some kind of trick, a ploy to get you cornered, so your eyes danced over him in brief, consistent glances as you proceeded forward.
He was sitting by his window, a cigarette stuck between his two fingers as he silently stared off into the the darkness the world outside offered.
It was strange. Seemingly off guard as he propped the knee of one leg against the window, giving a free range to his left to lean. Hair swept over the shoulder to show part of his sharp jawline, which dimmed only with each intake of the deadly nicotine.
The room was bland save for a few posters, white walls, brown dresser pressed against a corner and a night stand tucked at the opposite. Clothes were tossed about, either on the floor or hung up half assed on something that you could only guess as a proper hanger.
His nightstand was covered in trash and empty beer cans and you thought of shoving them away before deciding to place the plate on his bed instead.
You spared him a last glance after the action, perplexed by the fact he was just so— quiet. Which, was certainly odd to everyone at least within half a mile from here. Usually the moment you entered his space, his bubble, he erupted like an animal defending its territory.
You decided not to push your luck. Because right now, it felt like the deadly cat across the African plains simply hadn't noticed you. And so your steps were as carefully placed as they had been when you entered. It was almost relaxing despite the looming feeling from the boys demeanor.
Billy felt a wave, a sort of ripple through the air as the presence of another remained in the room. He didn't bother to speak, only raised the unlit cigarette to his lips in a curious manner and took an unsteady puff, letting the wind carry the smoke out the screen. There was a storm, one he had sensed earlier but was hard to make out amongst the many things that had clouded his mind with anger.
Luckily, the only thing he could blame his outburst on earlier this morning was exhaustion, a clear sign of his lack of sleep from the night before which would easily explain his half dead posture and irritability that had pissed off nearly everyone around him.
Another explanation for his hideout in his room but one you couldn't quite understand.
You neared the exit when the floorboards creaked just as they had before and you almost wanted to freeze in your place. Like the cat would come pouncing now, mauling you to death.
"Not gonna make a show of it?" Came Billy's voice, it was low and calm but you caught the slight strain of it. As if he needed a clear of his throat to even be fully heard.
"A show of what?" You cast a glance over your shoulder, brows knit.
The blonde gestured with his lips, the subtle shift in his elbow drawing attention to the stick of tobacco. "I was waiting for some goddamn spectacle, L/N. "
"I don't know what you're talking about, Billy. " You sounded exasperated already and you stepped over a black shirt with a design you couldn't quite decipher from its crumpled up state. You made sure not to add anymore scratches to the ground and turned around, placing your back firmly against the door frame.
Billy's muscles became tense with the new body turned on him and he felt the wave again, the stirring of new energy entering the atmosphere.
But you had simply done so so that your back wasn't uncomfortably to him when you left.
"Whatever. " Was all Billy seemed to say before shutting you out, shoving that fucking piece of shit plate away from him. And in the split second your brain focused on how fast food was supposed to get cooled and not nearly three seconds after swallowing his cancer stick Billy must've caught the attention of the devil himself.
There was no denying the jagged yell, the shuffling in his voice like someone was gripping his head and holding it under water. You jumped away, eyes as wide as saucers as Billy's bedroom door flung open, smacking the adjacent wall with a loud slam that nearly cracked the plaster from the force.
And yet, his voice was a lot less louder than his grand entrance. "Hey, shit face. Why don't you make yourself useful instead of sitting around all day, having our guests, " he gestured to you, "bring you your own fucking food. "
You moved a step back, almost tripping on your own footing from your struggle to balance yourself without the solid sense of feeling. Your eyes darted frantically between the two people within your viewing distance, and you could barely make out Susan a few feet away who had her hand clasped on Max's shoulder.
She was ushering her daughter to their bedroom but Max refused, and the red head stood beside the door with a wary look.
"Get up. And give him a ride home. " Another gesture to you and when you looked towards the entrance of Billy's room again Neil was taking up the entire frame.
"That's really not–" You began but stopped as both of the parents turned to look at you with an appalled look. It was nothing personal but you doubted Billy even knew where you lived and the only time you ever rode with him was pervious to when he'd beat your ass.
"My dad–" You tried again.
"He won't answer the phone, much less pick you up. " Susan jumped in, though the hesitation on her voice made you doubt if that was her plan all along. "Your brother got a ride with the Henderson's. "
"Put on a shirt, stop acting like a balless queer, and go. " Again Neil thrust a drawn out, mocking tone, like his son couldn't comprehend basic sentences and he stepped out of the way to make room for your departure.
Billy's got a storm brewing in his expression and there was one moment where his eyes met yours and you were sure you'd drown in all the hate there was.
You didn't get a chance to argue about the amount of time it would take to get there and about how you would manage on your own. In fact, something in Max's eyes told you it'd be better not to. So you pressed your lips against each other as Billy grabbed his keys and pushed past you.
You watched Billy stalk past everyone, a gruff 'Yes, Sir' leaving his lips that you almost hadn't heard as he passed his father.
You exited the room shortly after, not sparing Susan or Neil a goodbye as you gingerly took your shirt from Max's hands.
She made a comment, something quietly spoken that not even your heightened hearing could make out over Billy's obnoxious slamming of the front door that he knew he would pay for later. You watched the young girl as she returned to her room.
Silence welcomed you when you first stepped into the driveway, stretching across the cement with a sense of uncomfortablity that didn't seem to fade as you entered the car and were met with a chilling quiet.
Billy didnt look at you as his ignition roared to life, nor did he speak to you as he pulled out the drive way. He stared ahead, chin down as he leaned just slightly forward, supporting an arm on the side door, palm rubbing soothing circles into his temple.
He was going 20 above the speed limit. You assumed you two were trying to get as far away from the house as you could. But, the further into the neighborhood you went, the lower the numbers on the radio dropped and the more the car filled with quiet music.
Hargrove was completely out of it, lost in some other space where you weren't welcome. And the car had filled with a tension you doubted he'd meant to cause, but given his current mood, you didn't think he could avoid it either.
Despite this, you chose to press yourself against the door with a turned head, the muscles in your body growing taut with discomfort the more you tried to make it seem as if you weren't even of existence in the passenger seat.
You wanted out of the car.
That much you could draw from your mind when you found that the speedometer was at 55 and increasing.
"Billy. " You tore your gaze from the meter, flickering over the silent boy who was intent on looking only at the road ahead.
No answer. His jaw was tightened and set. There were lines buried in the skin.
"Billy. " Your voice held a certain firmness that he didn't quite like.
Silence still and he tightened his grip on the leather, knuckles turning white. The streetlights were getting ready to cast those obnoxious eyes and like a perfect chain of events the little hairs of a certain song burst from the speakers.
His hand, fast with anger, whipped across the volume dial, ceasing the tune and replacing it with the rumble of the engine.
An inhale, then a single word. "What. "
Somehow you think that's the opposite of an answer. It's barely a question. With the tone of voice he held he shouldn't have phrased it that way because he clearly didn't want to know what you had to say, what you thought.
"Stop the car. I'll walk. " It was simple enough and on any normal occasion Billy might've done just that rather than wasting his gas on you. But tonight was different, and Billy, seemingly fueled by his own agitation, just blew past the stop sign and sent the speed at which the Camaro rolled up with you at dangerous levels.
The car vibrated lightly beneath you, air whistling as you tore through the neighborhood at an alarming rate.
"Oh for fucks sake. " It was a mutter to yourself because you hadn't exactly expected the boy to be cooperative but you didn't think you'd be forced to jump out of a moving car again. Yet, here you were; gripping the handle, poised like a god damn animal, eyeing the road as you built up your goddamned gallantry.
You didn't catch the surprise on Billy's face when he noticed you push the door open against the harsh winds.
Fuck it.
You fell with ease and with a soft oof! your limbs were somehow able to stand the blow rather than becoming mangled chunks of meat against the pavement. You could hear the car skidding to a stop five houses down as you took a moment to roll around in your own pain.
Your shirt had rode up on your torso, back pressed against the heated road as your skin made contact with the tar. You had a few scrapes along your spine, one over the delicate hip bone. And you were pretty sure the road had peeled the skin on your forearm all the way down to the elbow but hey, at least it wasn't your fucking face.
A few drops of blood gathered on a pebble directly to your right. Your nose gave a sharp twinge of pain.
"Dick. " You said that in regards to him, for every aspect of his personality. Because Billy Hargrove was what others considered a giant dick.
If you hadn't suspected it before you were sure when you heard the wheels start to turn again, the shift of a gear springing the Camaro back to life. And then footsteps, louder than the car itself, were slapping against the asphalt.
"Are you out of your fucking mind!?" You raised your head, eyes coming to focus on Billy's very fucking pissed form towering above you. Arms crossed defensively, face twisted with irritation as he glared down at you with something close to— well it looked a lot like anger but Billy only knew one of three emotions and that was definitely not concern.
"Fuck you. " You managed through a puddle of blood in your mouth that you promptly spit out, only having realized it was there the moment it began forming bubbles when you tried to speak.
Billy's voice stuttered in reply. "What the fuck is your problem? Do you want to fucking kill yourself or something?! "
"Better than death by fucking vehicular manslaughter on the account of Billy fucking Hargrove. " You muttered, hands pressing into the road to give you leverage when you attempt to stand up. Your body immediately yells a no to this action and you lay right back down on the road.
"What?" Billy is completely distraught in the sense that his brain has seemed to burst due the sheer incomprability of your actions.
"Oh I don't know, Billy, maybe the next time I feel like killing myself I'll call you and we'll go a hundred miles an hour off the fucking side of a cliff. "
The boys eyebrows were nearly touching his hairline as he stared at you.
"Watch me die like an old school movie where they're surrounded by bubbles and colors and shit. "
You spit the last remnants of blood from your mouth and Hargroves face ran red and blue. "Can you fucking shut the fuck up and get up already before anyone sees you. " He demanded, practically dancing around your form. Arms stretched out with a stance that reminded you very much of a gymnast.
"No. No. I think I'll lay here for a sec. " You roll onto your backside, a groan in your voice, arms folding over your body, posed like a corpse.
Billy stops in his antics and stares at you incredulously. "Are you serious?"
"Very serious, yes. " Your voice almost comes out like a sigh.
Billy reels, and if it wasn't for the fact your eyes were sealed shut now, you'd be able to see the absolute bewilderment of the teen as he stood there in the middle of the empty street. Arms half poised over you but not touching your form. As if he didn't know what do with you.
"...Get up. " He demands, standing straight again, his hands on his waist. This time he's not commanding you in that cold manner. There's a little rise to his voice like he's beginning to lose his patience, his forehead furrowing with anger.
You take another few moments to enjoy the silence. You swear you hear a cicada or something squeak from a window sill nearby and the air felt cooler than it has in weeks. Until it all becomes overbearing and your chest burns from a lack of oxygen. You didn't even realize you were holding your breath.
You open an eye to test the waters.
Billy's scowling now, a hand on his hip and the other resting across his forehead in disbelief. At you or the situation, you weren't entirely sure. Both you imagined. But there was a certain look on his face like he was ready to pull some kind of theatric, a reaction, throw a punch to knock some sense into you but ultimately decided against it.
"Where do you live?" He asked the question in such a manner that you couldn't help but be wary of his intentions.
"...Why?" You asked, the caution obvious in your voice. As he loomed over you like that... it wasn't doing a whole lot of trust building.
You almost hear the growl of frustration from his throat as he began rocking on the balls of his feet, hands swinging like he wasn't able to grab hold of something. "So we can fucking go. Before someone calls the fucking cops. "
You still hesitated.
"Before I fuck you up so hard they'll have to identify you by your fucking sperm. " Okay there were his threats. But they lacked the substance of his normal demeanor. He didn't seem overly angry like he typically did but still, his body gave some kind of look as though he couldn't quite will himself to control the way it trembled with adrenaline.
"Nice one, but you're not my type. " Another bite and a second of Billy looking absolutely befuddled as he tried to keep his voice down. His glare had weakened but only because he was taken off guard, and his cocky expression fell to a tight line.
You watched as he took a moment to look around the empty street. The lights weren't too bright so you couldn't make out that typical, telltale flush of his skin that you've grown accustomed to in his anger.
Your eyes flickered across his face, scanning every inch like a beacon. Curiously, you looked at him the same way he always did. Maybe you'd find some sort of answer hidden somewhere behind his icy blues.
The look on his face was strange. Pensive.
"Get up, Y/N. " An even voice this time. Calming maybe. And to think, all it took was a slightly gay comment in order to simmer the violent bastard.
You half wondered where the fag-bashing erratic moron went. Maybe he'd packed his bags and runaway. You could hope.
You did more than that infact, you put that right there on your bucket list, and with a frown, more for yourself than anything else, you looked away from the boy above you.
"Fine. Alright. " Your movements were stiff with pain as you moved to push yourself up by the palms of your hand, your arms trembling beneath the weight. The skin on your hand and forearm burned with a stinging sensation.
Billy watched at your pathetic attempts, a sneer or two on his face but he didn't seem to offer much help until it'd all get too pathetic and he had to reach out and aid you.
"Idiot. " His lip curled as his palm met yours, his fingers holding onto the back of your hand tight as possible.
You stumbled slightly upon becoming fully upright, teetering against Billy for a moment as you took a minute to regain your ground.
"Yeah, well whose fucking fault is that. " You've developed a lovely habit of hissing through your teeth with an unnecessary amount of spite. You're surprised Billy hasn't knocked you on your ass and left you for dead by now.
He scoffs, trying to put as much distance between the two of you while still having your arm linked through his, helping you along. To the ignorant eye, you suppose this would look platonic enough but anyone that knew the two of you well would certainly think otherwise.
Billy's all rigid limbs and stunted movements. Even when you'd finally started to walk on your own and your grip on his arm began to slack, he held firm with a grip like a vise.
And by the time you're at the passenger's side, he's shoving you into the seat and you nearly knock your head on the top of car.
You didn't bother giving a remark when he practically seethed through his teeth, slamming the door in your face. He strode around the car like a man on a mission.
"If you go more than 5 over the speed limit—" You felt the warning die on your tongue when you saw the look of pure anger etched onto Billy's face.
"You'll jump out. Yeah. " His hand came down on the shifter. "Got it. "
There was a part of your brain that you didn't recognize that was screaming in terror, completely and totally convinced you were going to die tonight at the hands of the ever brooding Billy Hargrove.
But much to your surprise, Billy maintains that 5 mile leway the entire drive home even when there's barely a car in the streets. He hadn't muttered a single word since throwing his angry body in the driver's seat.
Instead, he'd cranked up the music all the way as if it'd some how compensate for the lack of speed and conversation, not that there would be much to say anyway.
You hadn't bothered looking at him. He hadn't bothered looking at you. But somehow, in one way or another, the feeling as if you were watching each other was even more abundant in the silence.
Whatever hostility had remained from Billy's mood in the first half of the night had receded back into his depths for later. Though the occasional frown on his face never quite leaves no matter what, his eyes are softer now.
And by the time he's pulling into the dirt driveway of your home, the soft beams of amber and yellow from the streetlights dimly hitting half his face, there's no sign of anger or any real semblance of emotion. It's oddly quiet, and the only thing to really speak up was the steady rumble of the engine.
"Thanks. " You beckon quickly and with reluctantance as you awkwardly grabbed at the door handle, trying to turn as quickly as you could while still maintaining balance. Anything just to get out of his car and away from the guy.
"Y/N. " He voices and the moment you pull at the handle you come to find it's resistance. A dull tingle shoots up your spine and the hair on the back of your neck raises with tension.
You turn, facing the teen who kept an unconcerned façade. He was a calm still pond with blue eyes flickering like small waves in the face of a strong wind, and although most times they were ice and snow that held such a cold, unforgiving passion of arrogance, there were times they were the ripples of a breeze.
Now was one of those times.
"Don't go around pulling fucking stunts like that. "
That was definitely closer to a warning than anything else that had come from his lips the entirety of the night.
"This is coming from the guy who beat my ass into the concrete two months ago. " And at this point, you were too exhausted to be filled with spite for the boy.
His posture falters and not just figuratively. There's a shift to the way he's sitting but the flicker of his eyes remains. Even with you half turned, his stare remained. In fact, it seems to have gotten all the more intense.
"What's it to you anyway? " The way he tilted his head might have been endearing in another life. Now, it seemed to hold meaning, the way a predator stalks its prey with such observant behavior before sinking its teeth into its jugular.
His gaze on you could have bored into your brain, much like a drill for how quick your defenses seemed to start dissolving.
He'd always looked at you like this. Whether or not you caught his eyes on you was by chance.
In class, in the halls, it was all the same to him. He'd get one look and that was about all it took. He'd stare with the attention like an interrogation, as if trying to decode some secret behind your stature, trying to pick you apart bit by bit with those watchful baby blue's of his. And if there was no easy route to doing that he'd dig his little meat hooks into you until there was.
You were all he'd focus on. Not you in particular. More so the idea of you.
Whatever that meant.
Of course the only instance Billy looked at you without fail, hard looked at you like the blue was about to spill out of his eyes and swallow you up like a tsunami, was when he was a little tipsy or riled up with heat and fury. But like most of Billy's emotions, they were very intense. Too intense for something as simple as just a fucking stare. It almost gave you the illusion of a dangerous threat that made your skin buzz with goosebumps, your nerves rattling in their sockets.
He was doing the same now, except, the only difference was that he wasn't pissed faced or smoldering with alcohol this time. In the confines of his car, beneath the yellow white shine of the nearby street lights, he couldn't tear his gaze away even if you begged.
Billy was the sort of thing to stop you mid thought when you glance and feel your limbs freeze, suddenly petrified with all this uneasiness and sudden confusion as to why there was only one sort of definition to put on why you felt such things whenever his presence was met with a hundred paces of distance.
"I..." He starts but his voice falls flat. Something beyond frustration, something between anger and concern. The sort of look that told you he was working something out in his mind. Or he just couldn't find the proper word choice that didn't end in an f-bomb at the end of his sentence.
He's still staring, his eyes flickering back and forth between yours, like a candle wick in the night. Wavering. Stuttering. Inconsistent uncertainty.
Like he's just asking for guidance to fill his barren vocabulary, the words never existing like an undiscovered civilization in his brain, unable to conjure up the sort of speech that would get him what he wanted.
An abrupt sense of panic washed over you. You inhaled sharply and you didn't let the breath go until your next move was placed in front of you like a chess piece on the board and you couldn't take the time to think out any future moves on your part.
All of your attention was pulled to him, focused entirely. The way he moved, the way he breathed, it left a tingling feeling trailing behind him like some faint breeze of emotion.
Everything stilled, it was him and you. Him. And you.
And he's just looking at you like that. Mouth halfway opened and the noise of shallow heavy breaths were the only sounds falling from his lips while he's looking at you all wide-eyed, like some fresh-faced virgin whose never seen one in person before.
You cursed yourself. Cursed the wind. Cursed the ground. Cursed Billy and his stupid face. And every corner of his stupid car and everything else about him. You can curse the sun but that'd probably be a step too far. Especially the moment you met those watchful pools of sea foam.
Fucking Billy Hargrove and his stupid, fucking car and his even more stupid...
Lips.
Lips and teeth.
Teeth, pale pink lips.
Blue eyes, long lashes.
Stupid fucking curly hair.
The sort of curly where it always managed to get you by the tips, tangling its brambles in your fingers and refusing to let go.
Which is why the second Billy made a small noise– not even really a noise, it's a breath. A single exhale that hits your nose, hits you the way nothing has before, and it causes a wave of heat to wash over you, overtaking your senses.
You grab those curls, your fingers entwine them and his breath is alot heavier, alot hotter as his hands grip tightly onto your shirt, like he's a frightened child.
His lips are wet.
He's messy.
Sloppy.
Like he's never kissed before in his life. Lips that keep moving, and his tongue is too sensitive, too eager.
Every sharp inhale of breath reeks of sweat and chlorine.
There's no time to stop and make sense of the situation.
He's scrambling over the middle console, desperate hands gripping on your collar and in any other scenario, this would've been the step before he plummeted his fist into your face. But there's hardly anything suggesting that. At least not without the time to see the tiny trail of tears lining Billy's eyes, glossing his cheeks.
He tastes as he looks. Like liquid gold with his tongue rubbing against yours in a hot mass of burning motion. And any semblance of a rational train of thought was chucked out the window.
There was enough room in the front seat for a teenage boy and then some. Billy Hargrove was not such a teenage boy. There was barely enough room to shift and breathe and wriggle around in this half straddle.
You can faintly hear a heavy car pass over a mound in the road, an off balance tire or perhaps someone forgot to inflate it and the uneven troll on the road, not entirely deafening, but it's there. And Billy hears it and he jumps from you, leg grazing the shifter, head knocking into the top of the roof.
His ears are steaming red as he all but falls into the driver's seat, face flustered and hair slightly disheveled.
He's looking around like a wild animal caught in a trap and he can't escape, eyes flickering back and forth; from the gearshift all the way to the rear view mirror and then to your face.
Pupils shot open, dark and wide, and a hand coming up to press on his forehead, eyes squinting.
"Billy‐ " It's a start, but it doesn't stay long enough to be deemed a full sentence, not with his name lingering on your lips while you try to swallow down the heat in the pit of your stomach. Billy's looking at you, breathing heavy.
"Get out. " He mutters forcefully, the lock clicks open and when his hand comes up to rub across his face, it's shaking.
"Billy. " More insistent this time.
He looks a few shades redder than when he was before, his head snaps back to meet your stare, hair curling beneath his ears in a gentle mess, curls threatening to fall into his face.
"Get out!" His voice pitches, breaks into something close to a sob and Billy swings his arm wildly, fist connecting with the steering wheel and there's a loud honk as a warning before he shouts again. "Get the fuck out, you fucking faggot!" His voice reverberates across the entire neighborhood, shattering your ear drums in the process.
There's dogs barking from far away, probably due to the horn.
You hesitated but only for a moment before swinging the door open, just barely missing the opportunity to knock the shit out of your leg by the time Billy decided to slam down his foot on the pedal. The door shuts fast. The car speeds off before it has the chance.
You watched him drive away, with just as much intensity as the boy inside the car watched you in the rearview.
As your house began to shrink away into the distance, and the glare of the car grew smaller and smaller. You could hardly see those searing blue eyes the way you did in class. Though this time, instead of a look of hatred or scorn, it was one of fear and dread.
And maybe, just maybe, if there were more light shining on his face, it would reflect a thousand scenarios playing on his cheeks. Not that you would've been able to tell from all the way out here.
"Fuck. "

hello I have a req :D Gojo tears up after yn gives him forehead kiss 🤭
ok anon bet
thank u for the req 💗 i put my own lil spin on it, i hope u still enjoy it!!!
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
Satoru Gojo hadn’t been the same since Suguru Geto’s untimely demise.
The consequences of his death aside, Satoru had lost something much bigger than just an old friend. Suguru was his confidante, now a stranger with all of his secrets.
Satoru had merely made sure that those secrets would never see the light of day. The depths of Suguru Geto’s depravity would, never again, see the light of day.
“Gojo? Helloooo? Are you listening?”
Baby blues flared to life, meeting your concerned gaze. He’d done it again, let his mind wander to… unsavory places. He forced a tight lipped smile. “Of course. You were telling me about, uh… your thing with the, uhm. Thing?”
“Have you been getting enough sleep lately?” You inquired lightly. You placed your hand gingerly against his milky skin, feeling for a fever. “You could be sick.”
Satoru took a deep breath and held it. You didn’t know. To you, he probably just seemed stressed. Out of it. You didn’t know that he hadn’t been sleeping, you didn’t know about the walking nightmare that his life had become after he killed his best friend.
“Here, come, let me heal you,” you said, ushering him into your office. “You obviously haven’t been healing yourself.”
He wondered idly if your technique reversal could heal wounds that even he couldn’t see.
Like the big, gaping hole in his chest.
The thrum of your technique filled him with warmth, made him feel lighter. You were always much more gentle with your power than Shoko, whose hands were always too rough and her prodding too deep. He dared even relax a bit as you fussed over him, healing various little wounds he’d incurred and forgotten about.
He noticed, suddenly, how close you’d gotten. You peered into his eyes and frowned at whatever you saw in them. “You have some ocular damage,” you said. “Have you been wearing your blindfold?”
For the first time in a long time, Satoru was speechless. He was too busy, too fixated on the way your genuine concern felt in his soul, settled warm within his belly. When was the last time someone cared?
“I know you’re sensitive about your eyes,” you continued, furrowed brows and all. “Did you… want to heal them yourself?”
He knew he probably should. And yet… you were so close to him. Your perfume smelled so nice. Your heartbeat, unnaturally audible yet oddly calming, so sweetly in his ears. Why… why couldn’t he tell you no?
“Nah,” he said, hoping to sound even a modicum like himself. “You do it.”
You pulled up a stool, stepping up so that the peaks of his snowy hair was about an inch or so lower than the top of your own head. You were so close that his breath tickled your face in a way that you were certain was less than decent. “The eyes are complex and sensitive organs,” you explained. “I need to be careful here.”
Satoru swallowed, his mouth suddenly dry. “Do what you have to do.”
And so, with a hand braced in each side of the strongest sorcerer’s head, you concentrated your technique on the most valuable eyes in the world.
In that moment, you realized something about your technique. You realized that, 1.) eyes were, in fact, windows to the soul. And 2.) you could do more with eyes than just clean them.
You saw it, him standing over Suguru’s body, the life leaving his crumpled form. You saw the blood trickling from beneath his former best friend, the way the world tilted as Satoru turned sharply and walked away forever. You saw it. You saw it all.
Warm, firm hands gripped your arms, pulling you from your thoughts. Satoru’s eyes were squeezed shut, his expression tense as he clung to you. His fingers tightened around your wrists, and without thinking, you tilted your face up and pressed your lips softly to his forehead. “I’m so sorry,” you whispered against his skin, making no effort to stop your technique from binding you together.
Breathing in your scent, Satoru’s breath hitched in his throat. He knew, then, exactly what had happened. Exactly what you had seen. He didn’t know how, and didn’t particularly care— because it felt so good for something to just be known without him having to explain it. He didn’t want to relive it. He didn’t want to talk about it. But god, did it feel good to be vulnerable about it. Before he realized what was happening, he felt the wetness on his cheeks. Warm, sticky wetness that clung to his snowy lashes. For a moment, he even thought that it was you crying.
Because he was the strongest, right? And the strongest didn’t…
“I’m so sorry,” you just repeated, pulling him closer to you.
“It’s oka—“
“It’s not,” you said, pulling away to look him in the eyes. Those big, dumb, beautiful eyes. “It’s not.”
And for once, in the tiny, cramped office/morgue that you shared with Shoko at Jujutsu High, Satoru felt like he could be something other than the strongest.

Butcher as Girl Dad
Tumblr media
Billy would be terrified to learn that he’s going to be a dad. Mostly because he’s afraid he’s going to turn into something like his father. This is what keeps him up most nights. You’d have to constantly reassure him that he’s not his father and that him being aware of his father’s past treatment of Billy, is a step in the right direction.
When Billy got comfortable with the idea of you being pregnant, you are treated like a queen. You have a specific craving, he'll gets up in the middle of the night to get it “Pickles and ice cream love, you sure?”. You need to take a seat to rest your swollen feet, he’s practically throwing Hughie off the sofa for you to sit. “No, it’s okay Billy I can sit at the table.” “Nonsense, Hughie, get off your ass before I kick it to Timbuktu.”
When you found out you were having a girl, Billy got nervous again. He didn’t know how to handle girls. With boys, you can roughhouse with and bond over sports but with girls- “Billy, I’ll have none of that sexist shit. Girls can do just about anything boys can.” You’d chastise Billy.
When your daughter is born, and Billy held her in his arms he felt like he was going to break her. You watched him as he held her, never moving muscle. At first, when she begins to fuss, Billy's eyes would go wide as dinner plates, and tried passing her off to you, “You can rock her back and forth to soothe her.” Billy tries that and it works. You’d have to give him soft encouragement when it came to interactions with your daughter, as Billy only ever knew violence, not comfort, coming from his hands.
You were very impressed with how composed Billy acted around your daughter, mostly when it came to swearing. On occasion, he’d have a few slip-ups, but he watched his mouth most of the time. One time the three of you were playing tea party, dressed to the nines in princess gear when Mr. Teddy didn’t meet your daughter's demands, she started yelling at him and called him a cunt. You immediately shot Billy a disapproving look. “Don’t look at me, I don’t say that around ‘er.” “Obviously you do, otherwise she wouldn’t have said it. Honey, where did you hear that word?” “I heard Daddy say it the other day on the phone with French Fry (her nickname for Frenchie)” You had to explain to your daughter that cunt is a mean word and can hurt people’s feelings. *GASP “Daddy, why do you want to hurt French Fries feelings?”
You come back home after a long day and see Billy reading three little pigs to your daughter in her room. She was tucked under her blankets, drifting off to sleep. You walked to the couch and plop down, resting your feet on the ottoman. Shortly after, Billy comes out of your daughter’s room and joins you on the couch. He lets out a heavy sigh, “Rough day huh?” “You know we watched Trolls 4 times today. Anytime I asked, ‘er if she wanted to watch something else, she’d want Trolls.” “We’ll it’s a cute movie.” “Yeah, it was cute the first few times we watched it, now it’s just annoying.” “Well, she likes it and you’re just gonna have to deal with it.” “We need a boy in this house, you girls are gonna be the death of me.” You climb on Billy's lap and straddle his hips. “You ready for another one?” Billy places his hands on your waist and leans forward, “If it means we get to watch Transformers once in a while, yeah.” “Billy, I don’t think that’s a good enough reason to have another child.” Billy flips you on your back, “Love, I’ll do anything if it means I don’t have to watch that bloody movie again.” The two of you tried for a few weeks to get pregnant and succeeded.
9 months later you gave birth, it was another girl.

Tumblr media
Interacting with any other human being was the last thing you wanted to do today. Saying that you had a bad week was an understatement, all the bad things that could happen to you happened. And not just things around you, but also your mind didn't stop for a second. You felt so overwhelmed that anyone could see on your face how much that week was hurting you.
"This can't be happening right now." You mumble as you feel the raindrops start to fall on your head. There was still more than half the way until you arrived at the Compound, you didn't have an umbrella, much less a coat to protect yourself from the cold that would come. No one could come and get you since everyone was busy and you didn't want to disturb your mother, she had enough problems to deal with yours.
You were coming home from school after another stressful day. You've spent the last few weeks studying for an incredibly difficult test, especially in a subject you had difficulty with, and seeing that big red note made your urge to cry even more. You studied so much that you thought it was impossible for that to happen. So many nights without having slept and so many energy drinks wasted for nothing.
You were absolutely soaked when you stepped into the Compound. Your sneakers made a funny noise when you stepped on them, but the only thing you wanted to do now was take them off your feet and throw them at the person closest to you, shouting in their face. "You're going to clean this up, Little Maximoff." Tony's annoying voice says, obviously joking, but still your head hurt just hearing that you had to do something that day. Your jaw tightens and you close your eyes tightly, taking a deep breath.
"I know, Tony." You ramble, trying to keep your voice as calm as possible. You walk past him to head towards your room, feeling your eyes burn from having something else on your list of things that made your week worse than it already was.
On normal days the first thing you would do was go look for your mother in her office, but the last thing you wanted to do that day was worry her, because you knew that the moment she laid eyes on you she would know that something was wrong. And filling her with your problems would make you feel guilty for a long time, you hated making people feel sorry for you and looking like you were a baby. You just needed to calm down, didn't you?
"Fuck!" You scream when you see all your notebooks soaked, especially your sketchbook, which you spent hours and hours drawing. You drop your things on the floor and run your hands through your hair, taking a deep breath. You wished your mother was there now, she would know what to do and help you with whatever you needed to calm down, but you put that idea out of your head before you ran towards her arms.
You enter the bathroom connected to your room and take off your clothes before you catch a cold. The hot water from the shower makes your muscles finally relax after the terrible days you prayed would end. In a few seconds you no longer knew what water was or what the tears on your face were. All those things that happened in your week came together into one, and you started to feel like you were on that empty, dark hole that took you a long time to get out of. You thought that maybe the problem was you, that maybe you deserved all those bad things, from the smallest to the ones that made you cry and scream like that moment.
You didn't hear the knock on your door because your bad thoughts were so loud that it was almost impossible to even hear the shower water hitting the floor. But when Wanda entered her room after hearing no response, she felt like something was wrong at the moment. She looks at your completely wet things lying on the floor and frowns. You told your mom you didn't need a ride home from school, but apparently, you did.
"Honey, is everything okay?" When she heard the shower turning off after long minutes, she knocked on the bathroom door just to let you know she was there and see if everything was okay. "Yeah, I'll be out in a minute." You say in a low voice, taking a deep breath. You knew that the moment you left the bathroom, your mother would know that your bad thoughts came back again, but you also knew that she wouldn't pressure you to say anything.
You close the bathroom door quietly, finally looking into Wanda's green eyes and seeing the worry through them. She held your backpack in her hands with her face confused at you, because she wouldn't think twice to get in the car and drive to you. "I was almost here at the Compound and the rain caught me." You chuckled, trying to hide your red eyes, your cheeks and the tip of your nose with the same color as your mother's hair.
"Are you okay, love?" She asks again, her face relaxed now. You put a fake smile on your face, but still with enormous affection for your mother.
"Yeah, just a little upset that my sketchbook got ruined, but it's okay." You don't completely lie. Yes, you were upset that your drawings would now have to go in the trash, but no, nothing was okay.
"I'm sorry, sweetheart." Wanda says approaching you. You just throw it away, muttering 'it's okay' but she wraps her arms around you, giving you a relaxing hug. Your mother leaves a long kiss on your head, making the urge to cry increase even more. You loved all the affectionate actions that your mother gave you, it made you feel so vulnerable and light. "Come on, let's get you something to eat, shall we?" You didn't like eating when you were feeling bad like that, you felt like you were going to throw up when you put anything in your stomach because of the anxiety, but you just agreed.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you didn't even notice when you arrived in the kitchen which, unfortunately, was made up of a few people. You felt so overwhelmed that being in the same environment as some people made you feel even worse. The small group of Avengers on your left irritated you. The loud noises they made. The conversations. The sound of people swallowing food. The tapping of Steve's shoe on the floor. Everything irritated you. From the small scratches on the counter to the farthest lamp that blinked every one minute and two seconds. Wanda noticed that. She noticed that you were itching to keep from freaking out. That you closed your eyes tightly trying to ignore your surroundings. That she needed to do something to help. She wanted to come to you and ask what intrigued you so much. What made you take deep breaths and crack your fingers every second was curious.
"Thank you, momma." She almost didn't hear you because of your low and hoarse voice. Wanda leaves a kiss on your head as she watches your foot bouncing up and down, eating the sandwich she made.
Wanda debated in her head what she could do to make you feel better. She knew she couldn't pressure you into saying anything, but she was so worried that she would do anything to see you well again. And even if it got to the point where she had to read your mind, she couldn't. You somehow managed to block your mother from reading your thoughts and seeing what was wrong.
You place your plate in the sink, taking a deep breath. Finally you would get away from people and that feeling of anxiety would finally leave you, that's what you thought. You thought that just a few hours of lying in bed doing nothing would solve your problems, but deep down, you knew that wasn't what would happen. And, now walking towards your room, not even your plan of closing yourself under the covers would be complete, as your mother followed you with the comfortable atmosphere that she always exuded.
You lie in your bed watching your mother calmly wait for your permission to lie down next to you. You nod to her with a smile on your face. Wanda puts her arms around your body, running her hand on your back, making your body relax. You loved these moments between the two of you, you realized how important you are to her and how loved you are. "You know you can always talk to me, don't you?" She murmurs, making you lean into her even more. Your face was in the crook of her neck, hiding how your lip trembled trying to hold back your crying. "I love you so much, sweetheart."
You finally let out a sob when Wanda murmurs those words that came out of her mouth so sweetly. Her grip around you tightens as she feels tears fall onto the skin of her neck, leaving a kiss on your head. The caress on your back never stopped, reassuring you that you were safe in your mother's arms. "It's okay, baby. Everything's going to be okay." You hated crying out loud, but at that moment you couldn't control all those feelings that made your heart ache spilling across your face, and Wanda was there to remind you that it was okay to cry and feel that way. "I-I'm sorry."
"Honey... we never apologize because of our emotions, right? Never." Wanda pulls you to place you on her lap, making you lay your head on her chest. You start playing with the hem of your mother's shirt, sniffling as you try to think of words you could say to her. "Do you want to talk about it, детка?"
"It was just... a bad week." You murmur, snuggling even closer to Wanda, feeling her heartbeat in your ear, which made you calm down a little more. "I just- I'm just feeling so overwhelmed and... and I don't know what to do."
"Oh, baby... it's okay. We'll get through this, yeah? It's okay to feel this way and I'll help you with whatever you need, my love." She strokes your hair, making your body relax in her lap. You agree, feeling her comfortable words enter your ears and help you with the horrible thoughts. "You're so strong, honey. Remember you're not alone, okay?" You mumble something, agreeing with her. You never knew how Wanda could make you feel better with just a few words, maybe it was her magic? You never knew. But she would always be your best friend and the person who would always make you feel better again. "Thank you, momma."
You would never be able to explain how grateful you were to have your mother by your side, because there are so many people in the world who don't have that comfort, and just thinking about not having someone to help you through your episodes made you feel sick. Even if she didn't say it, you knew Wanda was afraid you'd go back to that time when the hole was deeper than it is now. You remember exactly how she cried with you when you vented to her about everything you were feeling, and how she helped you every step of the way again.
"You don't need to thank me, детка. I love you so much, okay? I will always be by your side, on whatever you need." And you knew she was telling the truth, because Wanda loves you so much. You will always be her little miracle and the most important thing in her life. She feels so proud of you, because she knows that you can get through this, that you are strong enough to get through all the challenges in your life. She believes in your ability to overcome these difficult times - because you can - and there will always be people to support and walk alongside you, because you'll never be alone.

Based on this video. It’s fluff and a lil' suggestive. Sorry.
Dating the twin of someone sometimes has its perks and downsides.
That of course would be great to know, if your boyfriend of two months even shared with you beforehand that he has a twin.
But it is to be expected that someone like Atsumu would forget to mention that he has a twin.
It seems so naturally, it has always been the two of them. They were attached to the hip for good 19 years of their life, everyone knew them. The famous Miya twins.
Everyone, except you.
So one day, when you came to Atsumu‘s apartment after work, you saw him standing in the kitchen cooking something.
Yes, cooking without actually burning down the kitchen and hearing firetruck sirens in the distance.
Huh, maybe Atsumu picked up cooking lessons online or something like that.
You can’t deny, that it is indeed super hot.
What is also different about your boyfriend is that he has very dark hair now. Like, it’s almost a shade of black.
You do remember Atsumu mentioning that he was going to re-dye his hair soon but you didn’t think it would be THAT color.
Although, the cooking and the new hair color really suit him.
You step closer to your boyfriend, wrapping your arms around his middle frame and you can feel him tense up.
"My, my. First cooking and then a hair change. What else is new? You also quit volleyball?" You mumble against his back, rubbing your face against the back muscles.
Not seeing him for almost three weeks, there was something else you missed.
Your hands wander down to his sweats and two hands stop you from going further.
Without saying anything, Atsumu pulls your arms from his frame and he turns around to look at you.
Now, this is getting a little freaky.
Something else changed.
His eyes.
They’re not the usual warm chocolate brown, they’re gray. Like a dark rain cloud.
Wait a minute.
You back away slowly, getting really freaked out by the complete plastic surgery change of your boyfriend.
"Tsumu, did you get surgery done while you were away in Seoul or something? I mean, don’t get me wrong I uh… like the new look. But your eyes? They were my favourite part about you. Always made me feel like I was drowning in hot chocolate. I didn’t know you can change your eye color. That is very dope. What made you decide to change everything? Did you kill someone? Is this some sort of protection so no one recognizes you in public?" You watch him with big eyes, rambling down your questions because your mind is running wild.
"Ya ask a lot of questions, don‘tcha?" Atsumu quietly laughs. His voice sounds a bit more rough too, not as light as you are used to.
All of sudden, a third voice joins you, coming from Atsumu‘s bathroom.
"Yannow, (Y/N) will be here soon. I think ya should go, thanks for makin' us dinner though." This sounds more like Atsumu. Wait. Then who is this?!
"W-Who are you?" You stammer out, backing away slowly until you feel the counter behind you.
"My brother didn’t tell ya he had a twin? Figured he’d be the one to forget to mention something like that. Nice to meetcha. Name‘s Osamu. I am Atsumu‘s twin brother." He gives you a slight smile as he introduces himself to you.
"Oh, uhm likewise. My name is (Y/N), I am Atsumu's partner." You blush as you introduce yourself back to him, mirroring his smile.
"Oi, did ya not hear me? Can ya leave-" The heavy steps finally come out of the bathroom, Atsumu is only wearing his MSBY training shorts, rubbing a towel across his wet blonde hair.
Atsumu stops in his tracks and looks between you and his brother.
Osamu looks at the blonde Setter, a mischievous grin adorning his face.
"Ya forgot ta mention ya had a twin. They thought I was you. Which I actually should consider offensive. 'm obviously the better lookin' twin."
"Shut yer trap asshole, 'm the one with the significant other remember? Ya've been single since ya were born." Atsumu scowls at first and then grins mischievously, like he just won the round.
Osamu is not done though. He turns to you.
"How long ya been datin'?"
"About to hit the three month mark, why?" You frown in confusion at Osamu, who turns back to look at his brother.
"Did ya hypnotize 'em or somethin'? Most of yer so called relationships lasted max a week or two, after they realized what a complete asshole ya are."
Osamu turns back to you, after seeing his brother‘s jaw open in shock at his remark.
"Do yerself a favor and run, I’ll hold ‘im down." Osamu stretches his arms out, basically forming a little wall to shield you from Atsumu.
Next thing you know, Atsumu tackles his brother from behind, jumping on his back.
Obviously Osamu didn’t see this coming, so he falls forward with a big grunt and tries to get Atsumu off of him.
You watch first in shock, then in amusement as your boyfriend tangles with his brother on the floor.
"Tsumu, I will just come by later on okay? Have fun and love you!"
You grab your bag and leave the boys to it.
Atsumu has his brother in a chokehold, messy hair and an adorable grin adorning his face as he returns your love.
Osamu uses the moment of distraction to knock him down again and that’s really your cue to leave.
You still hear a lot of rumbling, crashing, shouting and cursing from outside Atsumu‘s home but you can’t help but smile at the deep bond between the two brothers.
And you are certainly looking forward to meeting him again.

Word Count: ~2.3K
Series List: Here!
Miss last chapter? Here!
Hi there! To those of you who have read and are still with me, THANK YOU! I love you all. I'm sorry that my chapters are taking longer and longer. Work has been a bit more hectic lately and I also just had some serious writer's block with this chapter. That being said, it feels a little rough and I apologize if its awful lol. But either way, thanks for hanging in there with me and please let me know what you think! Your comments make me happy!
__________
You groaned, stepping out of bed and drifting towards the bathroom. Your face was sticky and your eyes stung from crying late into the night. It was silly, naive, and frankly stupid… but sometimes you can't control how hard emotions hit. Seeing that Pedro didn't actually watch your video was a let down - to put it mildly. Obviously he's a popular guy. A star. He has better things to do.
You should be grateful he even responded to your Instagram message before. Even though it hurts, surely he has more interesting things to do than message someone like you. Just because you wrote a song and he said he liked it doesn't mean he owes you anything more.
So after a fitful night's sleep, you were utterly exhausted; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Luckily, it was still your weekend and you could rest today.
More like spend the day wallowing in your self pity… you think, disdainfully at yourself.
Looking in the mirror, you notice your puffy eyes. There's some new acne, and a mop of frizzy hair on your head. After using the toilet, you step on your bathroom scale before your shower; a morning routine you started during years of dieting. Another 3 pounds. Up again?!
You look in the mirror, pinching your stomach with a sigh. I guess I shouldn't have had those cookies yesterday…
The food guilt creeps up as you think of the goodies you've eaten recently. Cookies yesterday, fast food the day before. You were bitter that you weren't one of those people that could just magically eat whatever they wanted without gaining an ounce.
But you aren't, and you should know better.
Frustrated with your appearance, you begin your usual internal debate about how to fix it.
Maybe I should go back on the diet…
But the diet caused you so many problems. Remember the stomach issues? The hunger? The lack of joy? Binge eating on cheat days until you were sick?
But! I lost so much weight!
Yeah, until you started gaining weight…
Maybe I didn't cut enough. People said I looked so good. I was *almost* skinny.
Maybe people would like me more if I was skinny… Maybe Pedro would like me if I were skinny. There's no way he would be with me looking like this.
These were the debates that plagued you for months… years… a lifetime.
You showered, tears beginning to flow again as you tried to push out the thoughts. He was probably just busy, but either way you knew you didn't have a chance.
Your friends were right. You were an obsessed fan. It was… concerning, as they said. They pitied you when you felt sad about your feelings. Just find someone you actually have a chance with, they pushed. Someone real.
But... he did message you. Maybe he didn't even know you had an interview yesterday? Maybe he watched it later. You were being utterly ridiculous. It didn't matter anyway.
But what you didn't know was that Pedro felt just as disappointed. He wanted to be the one on your list. The one you loved. He went to bed just as mopey as you did and woke up just the same.
_____
Having washed away your bad feelings as best as you could, you gave Skipper a kiss on his little forehead and made some coffee while scrolling Instagram. You were nervous to see what people had to say about your interview, but you had to face the music eventually.
As you could have predicted, people were running through the potential suspects (or prospects, that is) who have brown curly hair and brown eyes. Some supported you and loved your interview. Others criticized you for being too chicken to show yourself.
You weren't used to this level of attention, and you really weren't sure you enjoyed it. But you were grateful to have your two lives kept separate, your true persona still shaded in privacy.
What you did not predict, was a notification popping up from Pedro, interrupting your scrolling. Forgetting to breathe, you immediately clicked on it. If the message were food from the oven, you would've burnt your hand the way you grabbed it so fast.
Perhaps I should've been a little more chill about opening this so quickly... Oh well.
Pedro Pascal messaged you: "Hey! I watched your interview yesterday. You did fantastic. I know fame is new to you and you're nervous, but you're a natural."
Your heart swelled. He did watch it!! He must have just been busy during the live stream.
You replied: "Pedro! You watched it!?! Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me."
Pedro read your message immediately, but instead of sharing in your level of excitement, he was hit with a wave of confusion instead. She must just be trying to not hurt my feelings. She already knows I watched it.. unless she didn't even notice my name. Or she didn't care enough to look for it…?
He decided to play along with it anyway. "Absolutely, I did. I've had it marked on my calendar since the day it was announced a couple days ago and watched it as it was streamed live."
His response took you by surprise, and then made you angry. If he really watched it, he would know that they gave you a list of the people who watched it live. Why was he lying to you about it?
You started to plan out your response, maybe even send an accusatory comeback, but then you thought about it again.
Why would he lie about it? What would he gain by lying? He messaged you.
With this in mind, you instead chose to take a different approach. One better designed for fishing. One you had to be very careful about, so as not to reveal the fact that you looked for his name.
"Wait!? You watched it live? I didn't see you on the list. You're one of the few people I've spoken to who actually seem genuinely friendly and interested in having a conversation with me. I had sort of hoped you were listening."
There. That doesn't sound too revealing, right? Totally friendly…
Pedro opened your message and was met with both confusion, and something else he wasn't expecting. Hope. Did you look for his name??
Still, he wanted to address the confusion. "You didn't see me on the list? That's odd.. but I'm sure there were a lot of names to scan through. Maybe my name was just buried in that list."
You knew it wasn't buried. He was the only name you looked for. The only name you cared about seeing on that list, not that you'd admit that to him right now. But you also didn't want him to feel that insignificant either.
"There were a lot of names, I'll give you that. But I swear you weren't there. Were you logged into your account? Maybe your Internet crashed, or you missed part of it?"
Instantly he remembered the ten or so minutes that Oscar interrupted him.
Oscar!
"Oh shit! That's it. Oscar barged into my house while I was watching it and I slammed my laptop closed."
"Oscar… Isaac? Wait, why did you slam your laptop closed?"
"Yeah, that's the one. And… I don't know. He just surprised me, I guess. It wasn't a planned visit."
Slamming your laptop closed is an odd reaction to your friend visiting, but okay, you thought.
"So you closed your laptop, and missed a few minutes. And that must have been the moment they pulled the list of viewers."
Pedro replied. "It must have. But I was there, more than happy to listen to what you had to say"
If my name had been on the list, would her answer have been different? When asked whether the man she loved was on the list and she said no, would my name have changed anything? Pedro wanted to ask you these questions. But he couldn't. Not only was he scared, but he also didn't want it to come off as some douchey comment that made you uncomfortable. He wanted to get to know you better, even if just as a friend, and he wouldn't let a silly little crush ruin that.
You sent a response that could be deemed as friendly or neutral, still cautious. "Thank you Pedro. I'm really glad you watched it."
He replied without hesitancy. "Of course. But, I am sorry that your guy wasn't on that list."
He sounds genuine. Not like he's fishing for information like everyone else on the internet. In turn, you decide to be playful with your response. Risky, but still not too revealing. "It's okay. It turns out that list wasn't as accurate as I once thought it was" you typed with a smirk.
"So maybe he was watching after all," Pedro answered.
"Maybe he was."
Pedro soon changed the subject, "I did enjoy hearing about your favorite things, though. You may know this already, but I love movies. Some of the ones you mentioned are a couple of my favorites as well. But as for your favorite books, I haven't read them, but I've been meaning to find a new book to read."
The fact that he was a reader made your heart flutter; the thought of him sitting with a book, his glasses perched on his nose, brow furrowed as he stroked his thumb over his lip in deep concentration. You were overjoyed at the thought of him reading *your* favorite book and potentially having someone to talk to about it. Before you knew it, you had frantically sent multiple excited messages.
You: "Oh! If you read any of my favorite books we HAVE to talk about them!"
Second message: "AGH the first book I mentioned is my favorite, out of all of them. The ending blew my mind. And the characters were just so amazing! Well except for that one guy.. but I won't spoil that…"
Third message: "But my favorite character has the greatest lines!!! Sometimes I like to quote it but nobody else gets it. And the way the author describes the settings is so magical, it makes you want to be there."
Pedro caught himself smiling at his phone, wrapped up in your excitement, as you were finally able to talk to someone about your favorite book. It was adorable how happy you seemed.
He started to type a reply when you sent another message. "Shoot… I'm sorry. I got a little too carried away…"
"Who told you that?"
Huh?
"Who told me what?" You asked.
"Who made you feel like you had to stop talking when you became excited about your interests?"
His question took you aback, but your mind struggled to pinpoint the answer to it. There's been so many people that have told you that over the years. People you assumed were friends. An old crush who didn't like multiple text messages at once. Classmates who would complain or make fun. It was routine.
"Oh. It's not a big deal. It's just something I've heard over the years. But I also know how I get and I don't want to be too much. I'm sorry. I don't want to monopolize the conversation too much either. But hey, you didn't mention, what are your favorite books?" You tried to change the topic.
Pedro felt that protective feeling bubble up in his chest again.
"Over the years!? There have been multiple occasions?" Pedro shook his head, even though you couldn't see through the text. "I'm sorry anyone ever made you feel that way or said anything to imply that your interests weren't worthy of being heard. Fuck them. They should be thankful that you shared your interests."
They should be grateful to hear your beautiful voice get so excited. To get to see your excitement and smile, Pedro thought to himself angrily. He hoped he could someday witness you getting excited over your interests in person too.
"Thank you Pedro. But really, it's okay. I know I get a little… obsessive and crazy, especially with sending multiple texts, so I don't blame them. Haha. :)" you tried to soften the mood.
"I don't want you to ever feel that way with me. I liked hearing you talk about your interests."
You began to type, but Pedro beat you to the punch.
"In fact… if you'd like to talk more," he gave you his phone number. "Feel free to text me, or you can call me too. I like talking on the phone, but I know not everyone does."
Holy shit. Is this real life? Did Pedro Pascal just give me his phone number? And ask me to call him?
Truthfully, your introverted self really didn't like talking on the phone. But the idea of talking to Pedro, hearing his voice on the other end of your phone was too much to handle.
What you didn't realize, was that Pedro wanted it just as bad.
Your fingers danced over your phone keyboard, trying to find the right words for a reply. What do you say when the love of your life (that you didn't think you would ever have a chance with) gives you his phone number?
Pedro watched anxiously as the three dot-dot-dots of typing appeared and disappeared over and over. His heart was racing, and he began to worry he may have overstepped this time.
Why did you give her your number? She's going to think you like her!!!
But you do like her, you idiot, Pedro berated himself.
He ran his hand down his face, waiting for your response in agonizing suspense. But instead of hearing the pop of a notification, his phone began to ring instead, an unknown number displayed on the home screen.
Wait… is that her? Is she CALLING me?!
He answered frantically, practically dropping his phone in the process.
"Hello?"
"Hello? Pedro? It's me.."
You heard him give a breathless laugh before answering with a gentle "Hi."

TLC, buggy the clown
Tumblr media
la!!buggy the clown x fem!!reader summary: y/n is one of Buggy's newest additions to his freakshow and after a particularly rough show he looks to her for comfort. tw!! fluff (like a lot of it), pining (mutual), angst if you squint. notes: I tried as hard as I could to make Buggy as in-character as possible in this I swear to god. It was so hard, guys.
y/n turns her head away from the mirror with the lights. She was still dressed in her circus outfit which consisted of a tight purple tank top and a black poofy skirt with sparkly suspenders, bright purple fishnets covered her pale legs.
Her face was previously painted white with sparkly black mime makeup and a fake bright red clown nose. Since the show ended an hour ago she had wiped it off leaving just the fake red nose on her face.
Her head had turned towards the door, seeing Cabajji standing there with a rather nervous look on his face. --"The captain's asking for you..."He told her, swallowing.
The show tonight hadn't gone as brilliantly as their captain, Buggy had hoped. A ton of the cast were late to their ques, the crowd were all over the place with their orders- it was just a total disaster tonight which obviously led their usually jolly captain in a bad mood.
But she wasn't nervous when hearing that Buggy was asking for her. She had never really been afraid of him. Running a hand through her red hair, she stood up to her feet, wobbling a little in the heels Buggy had forced her to wear for the show.
Cabajji gave her an almost sympathetic smile and patted the door. --"He's in his room. Could you let him know the rest of us are going out for a drink?"He asked and she nodded, moving past him.
Cabajji would have told the captain himself but he knew that Buggy was less likely to get angry if it came from y/n. He had a soft spot for her.
After bidding him goodnight, y/n wobbled past him and down the hall towards Buggy's room. She took maybe ten steps before ultimately giving up and slipping the heels off, leaving her to shrink back down to her full height of 5'4.
With aching calves, she found herself back in front of Buggy's cabin door. Heart beating loudly against her ribcage, she lifted a hand to lightly tap her knuckles against the door.
A muffled 'come in' is heard from behind the door. Swallowing, she pushed down the handle on the door and slipped through the crack, shutting it back over behind her.
Her heart dropped when she saw Buggy sitting at the edge of his bed, his shoulders sagged in an uncharacteristically sad manner. With a soft frown, she walked over to him, setting her heels on the ground next to the door.
She sank to her knees in front of Buggy, sitting on the carpet in the space between his legs. This wasn't the first time they had been in this position, which is part of the reason why she wasn't nervous to comfort him.
Lifting a hand up, she rested it against his cheek- feeling him lean into the touch with his eyes shut. --"Where's that smile?" She asked in an attempt to cheer him up, her voice softer than honey.
Buggy lifted a gloved hand to rest against the hand that caressing his cheek, his eyes fluttering open to look at her. y/n's heart stuttered a little in her chest when their eyes met.
He turned his face against her hand so he could press a light and tender kiss to her palm. He had done this numerous times before but it never failed to make her blush.
"Not up to smiling, toots."He simply responded and she nodded her head in response, plastering a smile onto her face. --"Guess I'll have to do all of the smiling for you then."She joked, an overexaggerated grin appearing on her face as she continued to attempt to make him feel better.
And it seemed to work for a brief moment as a chuckle fell past his painted lips. --"Tonight was a mess..."He mumbled and she shook her head, lifting a finger to press against his lips.
"Every good show had a bad day. We'll do better tomorrow."She told him, nodding her head encouragingly. Her bright attitude seemed to put a small smile on the captain's face and her lips turn upwards.
"See, there's that smile..."She trailed off, tracing the pads of her thumbs up and down his cheekbones. Buggy's chest felt heavy as he looked at her.
He always went to her for comfort. She had only been with the crew for 6 months but they just got each other. She was the only person he felt comfortable enough to just sit and air it all out. The same goes for her part. She never felt judged when she was with him.
They always sought words of comfort in each other and nothing more. But the 'nothing more' is what they had both been thinking about recently.
Sure, they were attracted to each other but were they willing to risk what working relationship they had?
Buggy seemed to have already made his mind up as he looped one of his gloved fingers with one of the fingers on her hand which was pressed against his cheek.
"Stay with me?"He murmured to her, a hopeful look appearing in his blue eyes. He felt a little pathetic and if it had been anyone else he would have just forced them to stay with him, but not y/n.
Her heart stuttered again at the question as she found herself nodding her head. Hell, Buggy could ask her to slip a knife between her ribcage right now and she would probably go along with it.
Her eyes danced across his face and she swallowed. --"Do you wear your clown makeup to bed?"She asked, curious. Buggy raised an eyebrow, he hadn't expected that question.
He shrugs in response. --"Only if I forget to take it off."He responded, his voice gruff. She hummed and stood to her feet.
Buggy watched her walk over to his desk, his eyebrows pulling together as he leaned back on his mattress with the help of his hands.
After a few seconds, she turned around with a packet of wipes in her hands. --"This packet is full, Buggy."She was almost scolding him as she walked back over to him.
"So?"He murmured, watching her return back to the spot she had been sitting in before, sitting the packet of wipes next to her. She scoffs a little at his tone.
"What do you mean 'so'? you have got to take better care of your skin."She told him. --"What you need is some TLC."She said with a grin. He leaned forward to pull off the fake clown nose she had forgotten she was still wearing.
He completely ignored her scrutinising. --"heh, you look cute with the big red nose."He compliments. Her cheeks heat as she starts to pull a wipe out from the packet she had retrieved from his desk.
"So do you."She retaliated, pushing herself up onto her knees so she was a little closer to his face. Buggy's throat goes dry at the sudden closeness.
"not according too-"He started off only for her to interrupt him, lifting the wet wipe to his cheek. --"I don't care what others say. Your nose is what makes you unique and cool."She told him, her eyes not looking into his and instead focusing on where she was scrubbing his face.
Her words forced him into silence, and he pondered her words as she gently wiped off his clown makeup. She had never actually seen him without his theatric circus makeup so imagine her surprise at the man underneath it.
A small chuckle bubbled up her throat as she wiped away the remainder of his makeup. --"You never told me you had such a handsome face underneath the chaos." She comments, rubbing off some of the red makeup around his lips.
Buggy's throat goes dry again at her words, his cheeks turning the same colour as his red makeup. After a few more moments, she had thrown the wipe to the ground with a soft smile on her face.
"There. All done."She told him, standing up to throw the wipe in the bin. Buggy glanced over to his reflection in the mirror above his desk, y/n's words filling him with the tiniest amount of confidence.
His eyes then found her. He took notice that she was still in her circus outfit. Feeling his gaze on her, she glanced down and shook her head.
"I, uh, didn't get the chance to change..."She trailed off with a nervous chuckle. She nodded her head over to the heels she had discarded at his door. --"Those heels you make me wear are real killers."She mused, folding her arms over her chest as Buggy stood his feet.
She almost shrank back as he walked over to her, his figure craning over hers. His gaze falls to her legs for a moment before a blush coated his cheeks and he forced himself to look back up at her face.
"I, uh-"He paused to clear his throat, --"You can borrow a shirt if you want."he offered. An appreciative smile appears on her face as she nods her head.
"I'd appreciate that."She told him. With a nod, she watched Buggy walk over and begin to look through the clothes in his drawers.
Standing by almost nervously, she glanced down at her chipped nails. A frown settled on her face when she noticed the chip, deciding she would add a fresh coat tomorrow before the show.
Eventually, Buggy spun back around with an accomplished grin on his face and a shirt in his hands. y/n took in the details of his grin without the company of his clown makeup, her cheeks heating.
Her silence only had Buggy frown, nerves settling in as he remembered he was bare-faced. Noticing his nerves, her brown eyes widened and she walked towards him, shaking her head.
"Hey, no."She said defiantly as she reached him, resting a hand on his shoulder. --"You look great, Buggy."She informed him with a pointed look.
Her face was close to his as she scolded him for even thinking bad thoughts about his appearance. In her eyes Buggy is perfect. He will always be perfect in her eyes.
Buggy eyed her, his chest feeling heavy again. --"Why are you so good to me?"He mumbled to her. She blinked in surprise at the question, not expecting it.
But she didn't miss a beat with her response. --"Because I care about you, Buggy."She told him lifting her hand to rest against his cheek again. --"And I want you to see yourself how I see you."She told him, standing a little closer to him as she spoke.
By now they were a few inches apart, their chests nearly touching. Buggy suddenly lifted both of his gloved hands to rest against her face. If he stood this close to any of his other crew members they would be flinching back in fear but not y/n. She would never be frightened of him.
He always had treated her differently.
She leaned into his touch as he took a small step closer, their feet touching. Her chest, too, started to feel heavy as she watched his gaze flicker between her brown eyes and her smooth lips.
The tension snapped as his lips hesitantly moved to press against hers. She felt him tilt his head as her hands clutched his vest and tugged him closer to her.
The kiss was soft. There was no neediness or frustration behind it. It was sweet. Her lips moved up into a smile as she stood on her toes, feeling him rest his hands on her hips.
Buggy was certain that his heartbeat was in his ears. He was holding his breath as his lips slid softly against hers, his hands switching between resting on her hips and her jaw. The fear of messing this up was prominent in the back of his mind but he must be doing something right if she hadn't moved away in disgust yet.
After around 10 more seconds she pulled back and held a finger up between their mouths with a small smile. --"As much as I would love to keep doing this-"She grabbed the clothes from Buggy's hands. --"I need to change."She reminded him.
Buggy stood dazed as he watched her disappear into his bathroom with his clothes, the door shutting behind her. He stood there feeling as though he was going to fall over from the shakiness in his legs.
He hadn't planned on kissing her it seemed to just happen on instinct. Not that he was complaining. Apparently, he stood there like this for a while because he was still standing there in a daze when she walked out of the bathroom.
His shirt reached mid-thigh but she didn't mind. She walked over to put her own clothes next to her heels. His limbs finally started to work as he moved to sit on the edge of his bed.
She raised an eyebrow. --"Do you sleep in that?"She giggled, gesturing to his clothing. He glanced down and shrugged his shoulders. --"Most of the time, yeah."He responded as she walked closer to him.
He eyed her with a dazed look in his eyes. --"You look good in my shirt, sweets."He comments, leaning forward to grab her wrist and tug her closer to him so she is standing between his legs.
A bashful smile appeared on her face as he wrapped both arms around her waist in a bold manner. A thoughtful smile appeared on her face as she rested her hands on his cheeks.
"What is it?"He asked, tilting his head to the side. She shrugged, biting her top lip as she smiled. --"I'm just happy I managed to cheer you up is all."She responded, leaning down to press a lingering kiss to his forehead.
His eyes shut at the feeling of her lips against his forehead, his heart swelling in his ribcage with uncertainty. He wasn't used to this sort of affection.
But he craved the attention she gave him, just like how he craved the love from the crowd at his shows. He had been begging for some love all of his life and he had it now. He didn't plan on losing it any time soon.
She pulled back and swatted her hand against his bicep with a smile. --"Alright, is that seriously what you wear to sleep?"She questioned, raising an eyebrow. He hummed and shook his head. --"Nah, I usually sleep with nothing on but I doubt you want to see that in your first stay, toots."He smirked with his words, winking as he watched a blush rise to her cheeks at the thought.
Shaking her head, she moved away from his grip to plop down onto the bed next to him. --"At least take off the vest."She hummed, laying back against the pillows.
Buggy fought back a sarcastic response as he unbuckled his vest and slid it off. y/n slid underneath the covers, sighing contently as her red hair spread out against the pillow.
After a few moments, Buggy was joining her under the covers. He paused a little when feeling her almost instantly shuffle closer to him and rest her head on his bare chest.
His heart stuttered a little as he settled himself beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. This position was new to him but he wasn't complaining.
Nuzzling her face against his chest, she moved an arm to wrap around his waist, her eyes falling shut. A grin spread across Buggy's face as he leaned his cheek on the top of her head.
Reaching across, her turned off the lamp that sat beside his bed. Darkness coats the room as he feels her snuggle closer to him, a smile on her lips.
Pulling off his gloves, he sat them next to his lamp, his bare hands resting against her forearm. Grinning, he shut his own eyes, sleep almost instantly taking control of his form and hers.

“So that’s the menu.” Mikey rose up and dusted his hands.
You leaned against a counter getting some time upright and nodded over the messy handwritten note cards Mikey had brought over. Coated in loving use and old ingredients, Mikey had clearly been fine tuning these recipes for years. They felt to you like precious artifacts with their ancient evolving notes. Moving them around affectionately and wondering how many total of these cards there were, you tipped your head towards the turtle. “How are you going to bring all this over?”
“So, we got ingredients purchased and being delivered to an agreed upon location first thing tomorrow.” Mikey paused to give a raised hand to Donnie for his participation.
Donnie, who had been writing some code on his computer, scarcely looked over.
“I’ll take everything down, start placing my mise and then head over here for my regular shift around noon to cook it up.” Mikey fanned out the cards once before sliding them back into a fold. “If I did my math right then everything will be ready for dinner at 6:30pm sharp and our guests will arrive.”
You nodded, thinking over the process.
“I’ll have my assistant in spurts.” Mikey winked at you.
You rolled your eyes. “I’m sworn to rest when I need to. I get it, but I’m not letting you do everything.”
“Everyone has different kitchen dynamics.” Mikey chirped happily. “I love seeing how they all mix and our cooking chemistry though, like 90% of the time, I default to get out of my way!”
You laughed along with him. “I get that.”
“Having someone you can deal with in your space in that kind of heated situation is a big deal.” Mikey wiggled his brow ridge around his pun.
You hummed affectionately and remembered one particular time with Donnie. “Is that so?”
“Oh yeah, gotta be a marker of true love.” Mikey picked his cards and was slow to take on a forlorn look. “This is it…”
“Yeah…” You straightened a little yourself.
The family dinner marked the end of the Hamato watch. Though it hadn’t been officially discussed, you knew Mikey had passed on the information about Donnie meditating and Raph had obviously reported Donnie’s first time disengaging his powers. It had been a good sign and just about every person who’d entered the apartment since had seen some form of Donnie’s practice. The little purple particles that would percolate at a certain focused step were unmistakable. Whether Donnie was testing his emotions to manifest them or simply working on their creation, you had yet to know, but since he’d gone weeks without a single mishap, he was deemed safe enough to be left to his own devices.
Leo was just a portal away if anything went wrong.
You dampened more thinking about the blue brother. You guessed this was how it was now. You weren’t going to repair things with Leo and, after tomorrow, you never would have another chance to. You wouldn’t see him again and he would be an emergency contact at most. It stung. You knew it was probably for the best, but leaving whatever your relationship was with him in such disrepair deeply bothered you. You guessed you had others like this, people from your past that you were doomed to only have a negative memory of, but it ached regardless.
“Michelangelo.”
That was Donnie’s voice and you raised your head where your back was to him.
“Yup?”
Leo would be next and then Raph before Mikey returned for his final watch.
“I want to meet with him.”
You almost didn’t want Mikey to leave.
“…”
Maybe you could ask Raph to switch so you could sleep through most of Leo’s shift.
“Well?”
“Why?”
You blinked.
“Obvious.” You turned to find Donnie with narrowed eyes, but little heat as if he found the exchange tenuous.
“If it was, I wouldn’t have asked.” Mikey bit back with a similar lack of heat, but faint irritation.
You didn’t interject, but sent confusion toward your mate who didn’t look.
“I need to… speak with… him.” Donnie swallowed bile.
“About what? Why now?” Mikey folded his arms.
Now on one crutch, you moved from where you were leaning your weight on the counter and hooked it with learned ease to your body to go over to Donnie.
The movement caught his eye and he watched you with his closed off affection.
“If I could discuss the matter with any of you, I would have.” Donnie told you, though he spoke to Mikey.
You heard Mikey unfurl with a huff.
You tilted your head in question.
Donnie’s eyes had little response.
Mikey made an upset sound.
Donnie’s lip moved a centimeter which was the most smile you could get under these circumstances.
“He can come to dinner.”
Donnie’s head flew to Mikey in fury. “A joke!”
“Nope.” Mikey’s brow ridge bobbed, smug. “Not a question either. That’s the only way I’ll pass the message along.”
“This conversation is not for any of you!” Donnie’s lip curled back, but it was obviously out of tender fear as opposed to actual anger.
“I’ll head out when it's time.” Mikey’s shoulders bounced. “Give you space.”
“Not for…” Donnie trailed off and looked at you in a similarly anxious way.
You weren’t meant to listen either.
You frowned.
Donnie’s gaze shot away in a pained way.
“We’ll.” Mikey was quick to add. “Step out.”
You looked to Mikey.
He nodded to you for encouragement.
“You need to talk to Splinter that badly?” You asked quietly.
Donnie flinched at the name and his wounded gaze stayed glued to the floor.
Mikey bent his elbows to the counter and waited.
“Yes.” Donnie spoke as small as he could.
Your chest tightened.
You knew you’d been keeping things from Donnie, but to hear the inkling that he was doing the same felt like a new wound.
It wasn’t on purpose, you wanted to scream.
You were going to unload on him as soon as you were alone.
That meant he probably would too.
The realization sobering, you leaned heavily into your crutch.
One more day.
“Dinner. The whole dinner. You don’t get to kick dad out after just because you feel like it.” Mikey laid down his ground rules.
This time Donnie surfaced slowly and with actual anger. “You expect me to entertain that-” He bit his tongue to keep a derogatory word out of his mouth. “-in my own home?!”
“You’re doing that with us, aren’t you?” Mikey spoke without malice.
The younger turtle even seemed oddly stoic.
He almost looked like Donnie when slipped all of himself under that emotionless mask.
Donnie’s eyes only narrowed.
“It’s either that or you try Leo, which, good fucking luck. Then there’s Raph and we both know how that’s going to go.” Mikey’s head cricked with the slightest tip.
Donnie inhaled slowly.
“You asked me for a reason.” Mikey spoke knowingly.
Donnie juggled something mentally before looking back to Mikey. “I did.”
“My terms or nothing.” Mikey lifted up and out of the conversation.
He walked over to where Leo’s portal would appear.
You saw that, as soon as Mikey’s back was turned, Donnie let a whole litany of emotions pass over his face.
There was outright fury.
You could see how much he wanted to strangle the other turtle.
There was bargaining.
He tried to work out a thousand ways he could get out of this.
There was anxiety.
The chance to speak to Splinter was slipping through his fingers and you could see just how much your boyfriend needed to do this.
You touched Donnie’s arm lightly.
He jarred from his swirling mind and you saw the whirlpool settle at the sight of you.
Another tap was more of a nudge.
You had his back.
You could take the verbal heat off if need be.
You could be Splinter’s chaperone.
Donnie’s expression welled with gratitude before he looked back to where Mikey still had his carapace to you both.
“Done. Do ask-” Donnie’s voice was gravel.
“For him to be on his best behavior?” Mikey cut Donnie off with a turn of his head that just barely showed his face’s silhouette. “I’ll ask him. I’ll do what I can, but he’s my dad.”
Leo’s portal appeared and the blue light reflected off Mikey’s eyes for a malevolent gaze.
“Our dad. The three of us.” Mikey spoke venom. “Don’t you forget.” He stepped through the portal.
-
The rest of the time until Mikey’s return was done in a preparatory wait. Leo had appeared casual with a levity that said he was ready to get this last shift over with. You imagined that he might even enjoy the dinner since it was a final blemish for him to endure. Skirting away from him to keep the mood light, you had very little to do. You mostly stuck close to Donnie who was trapped with the weight of what was coming.
Your mate stood in various parts of your apartment with nothing to keep his hands busy and eventually you coaxed him out of sight where you lingered in his space. Sneaking behind a partition felt juvenile in your own home, but you signed to each other regardless.
‘Why now?’ You started.
‘Can’t explain like this.’
‘Later? Alone?’
‘Both of us.’
‘I’ve been planning to.’
‘Good. You’ve been avoiding Blue.’
‘Yeah. Long story.’
Donnie made the motion for ‘kill’ and raised his brow with delighted question.
You shook your head and placed both your hands over his.
He brought them up to his lips.
You mouthed, ‘I can’t wait to be alone with you.’
“Me too.” He murmured warmth and came down to press the side of his head to yours.
You lingered like that as long as you could.
-
You did your best, but the closer it got to Mikey’s and subsequently all the turtle’s final appearance in your home, Donnie’s stress was transferring to you. With each second hand tick of the clock, Donnie got more on edge. You meant to be strong for him. You wanted to show him that this was alright; that even though you didn’t know what big thing he wanted to discuss with Splinter was, you would be unflappable.
The only problem was, you were painfully in tune with your partner and him being upset was then permeating you through your bond.
You hated to see him uncomfortable and, though Raph recognized the dense air in the room, you could tell the older turtle was mislabeling it. All four men hadn’t been in the same room since the hospital discharge. You imagined Raph, rightfully, imagined the entire bale together bothered Donnie, especially in his own home. If there wasn’t some big talk added on top, you were sure that would have upset Donnie too, but you found it hard to believe that would have driven him to his current state.
You guessed Raph might have also thought Donnie was concerned to then be alone with his ninpo.
You hadn’t gotten to talk to the older turtle and now still wasn’t the best time because he was just as distracted as you in watching Donnie move about like a stubborn plant searching for a crack of sunlight. In slow rotations, Donnie swayed, barely perceptible and feeling out his space blindly. He couldn’t do an activity because he was too emotionally confined to the pot, but he was deprived of something vital which had him wriggling with all his remaining strength.
You could hardly breathe by the time Leo’s portal appeared.
Raph was up and prattling on about lending a hand just to have an excuse to leave.
In a file, you watched as Mikey and Raph carted a bunch of food, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen gadgets in until your home was overflowing. Donnie made space on his desk and helped arrange the spill before Raph turned with his hands on his hips.
“Alright. I got class and then me and Leo will come by right on time?”
“6:30.” Mikey swung a spoon to cement his point.
Raph threw his own finger up genially and spun on one leg to leave through the portal.
“Ah!” Mikey suddenly fussed and passed the spoon off to you. “Hold it! I have something else to grab! Forgot something! You know me!”
Donnie’s head shot up where he was clearly cataloging as everything had been accounted for thus far.
“Don’t spike the food!” Raph complained but pressed a hand up to the top half of the portal like he was holding a door.
“I’m not! In this house?!” Mikey shot you a wink out of Raph’s eye line before ducking through the blue light.
“Yeah, yeah.” Raph shook his head after Mikey. “See y’all.” He gave a parting nod and disappeared as well.
“There shouldn’t be-!” Donnie furiously searched for what was misplaced.
You were about to help when Mikey returned with two stumbling leaps and a bottle of soda in hand.
Donnie gave an irritated face.
Mikey shook his head. “This was just cause I saw it. I actually forgot…”
It brought Donnie’s brow up before there was a blur and the portal shut.
For a moment, you didn’t register a change.
Then Donnie inhaled sharply and went ramrod straight.
You looked to find Splinter standing where the portal was holding a baking dish wrapped in foil. With his eyes downcast and wearing a little cardigan, he looked the picture of trying to do his best.
Your heart squeezed and you were in motion with a clunk of your crutch. “Splinter.”
“Y/N!” He walked up with his dish and found it occupying his hands. “I was worried! The boys kept me updated. I’m glad to hear that you…” He breathed a bit unsteady. “I am sorry this happened to you.”
“Yeah…” You’d heard that more times then you could count. “It is what it is…”
“Still! Those police are an absolute joke! Useless! A waste! Morons!” Splinter huffed.
You couldn’t help but smile.
“Big Mama has been on a rampage.” Splinter told you casually before heading towards Mikey.
“Huh!? What?!” The younger turtle lowered himself to take the dish from his dad. “She what now!?”
“She was disrespected!” Splinter spoke as if this should be obvious news. “She has been methodically tearing down and restructuring the entire city center in her fury! So very her!”
“She’s…” You shook slightly in a rotation.
You looked to Donnie and couldn’t tell whether he knew that or not.
“Doing it for you!” Splinter threw a gesturing hand to you as soon as he was freed from his dish. “Oh, this is my very special green bean casserole, by the way! Also for you!”
“For…?” You took a few steps. “Wait, Big Mama can’t be doing that for me.”
“You, you.” Splinter waved a hand and looked around the packaged kitchen. “This place is too small!”
Mikey tapped his dad’s head with a spatula. “Don’t complain.”
“Hmph!” Splinter rotated. “You were her guest. Her new hotel’s poster couple! I’m surprised she hasn’t killed off and replaced the entire police department. Morons!”
He’d repeated himself, but the words didn’t seem real. “It didn’t seem like she liked me.”
“She likes you plenty! She wouldn’t do that for anyone!” Splinter turned, remembering something. “Put that in the fridge, orange!”
“I’m gonna be doing fridge Jenga, dad.” Mikey rolled his eyes. “Y/N, wanna help?”
“Uh, yeah!” You moved to set your crutch on a nearby counter.
Splinter saw he was in the way and scrambled a few nervous steps out of the kitchen.
As you passed him, you saw him keep his head down as if he wasn’t allowed to look around the living room proper.
Concern stuck to your features as Mikey held the fridge open for you.
Stepping around it, he used the door as a barrier for a private conversation.
You moved a few items in the icebox and gave a skeptical look as it would hide nothing.
He frowned and gave up trying to translate to instead focus on the task at hand. “How about I pass you perishables? That good?”
“Yeah. Standing in one place is easy. I’m just wobbly if I move too much.” You settled as a wedge in the fridge door as Mikey moved to pass things.
“It didn’t take too long to prep. I mean I’ve got a good few hours here so I wasn’t sweating.” He passed a few things over.
You methodically organized them.
“You’ll have to return my dear Tupperware.”
You paused in show of holding an old butter container that had something chopped inside.
“A family heirloom.” Mikey told you haughtily.
“Clearly.” You joked back and slipped it in.
Mikey walked you through the upcoming steps as you stuffed the fridge then freezer. When you came up with a semi-cleaned work surface, you glimpsed Splinter sitting on the couch near the closest arm and Donnie standing at a side angle near his desk. You imagined it would take some time for them to be able to approach each other and dove into the normalcy with Mikey. He ended up being a better teacher at cooking than meditation and walked you slowly through what you could best help with. In contrast, his own tasks disappeared in a flurry where he chatted casually as he moved around a full stove’s worth of burners and an active oven. You weren’t sure how he kept track of all the different cook times, but he seemed to know just when to move or extract something.
It had been at least an hour and you were casually washing some utensils for their third or fourth use when you heard Splinter’s voice. “You’ve made… quite the home.”
You didn’t hear Donnie respond and instead turned to Mikey who knowingly held up more dirty dishes.
With those soon cleaned, you moved on to oven Tetris for the many dishes that needed to be baked when you heard Donnie say something.
“You are still in contact with Big Mama.”
“Y/N!” Mikey blurred through your vision, moving faster than your eye to put the last pans in and slam the oven door shut for you. “You gotta look at this sunset!”
“Sun… set?” You blinked.
“Yeah!” Mikey slipped around you and opened the kitchen window.
“The sun doesn’t set for another-”
“It’s beautiful, you have to see!” As if it were a door, Mikey stepped right through the opening.
You stumbled a few steps after him in confusion and bit your lip on a noise when his arms shot out to grab you. In one perfect tipping lift, you were hoisted up and angled right through the window before you were set on the fire escape. “Wha-!?”
Mikey held a finger up to his lips and put great care in slowly closing the window.
When it was noiselessly shut he let out a big sigh.
“It’s time.” Mikey told you and then fell back to sit on a metal step.
“They’re talking?” You perked up.
“Yep. Not about to be a part of all that.” Mikey twirled a lazy finger and took a deep breath of city air. “Sky’s mostly blue.”
You leaned against the brick to look up. “Yeah…”
“It’s pretty.” Mikey murmured.
“Yeah.” You agreed.
For a long time you sat in the moment and let the bustle buzz as a dull hum until you made it over to Mikey. He moved aside to give you room and you both occupied the same step.
“Can you hear them?” You asked softly so as not to disrupt the moment.
“Nope.” Mikey tipped his head towards you. “Donnie’s got super glass or whatever he does.”
You snorted. “You’re going to slip up calling him that.”
“He can get me then.” Mikey threw up lazy fisticuffs.
“Thank you.”
“For saying I’ll fight him?” Mikey still had his arm’s akimbo and looked at you.
You bumped him with your shoulder, but left your body pressed to his. “For helping save me. For shortening my healing time. For teaching Donnie meditation. For making all this food. For getting Splinter...” You shook your head at the list. “For texting me about Donnie cooking.”
Mikey lightly chuffed and leaned a metered amount of his weight back. “I should thank you.”
“For what?” You looked at him.
You got to see up close how gooey his expression was when he turned to you. “For saving him.”
“I didn’t.” You shook your head. “He saved himself. I just got to watch.”
Mikey thought for a moment and returned. “Let me rephrase.”
“Go ahead.” You chuckled.
“Thank you for making him happy.”
Your heart jumped and you smiled brightly.
“Cute.” Mikey teased and leaned his carapace back on the steps.
You nudged him lightly where you couldn’t do the same and stared out at the darkening city until you felt a familiar pressure in your stomach. “Oh no…”
“What?” Mikey’s voice was sleepy.
“I have to pee.” You groaned and remembered how you’d been so on edge with Donnie many hours before Mikey had even arrived. That added to the current till, meant you hadn’t visited the bathroom since early that morning.
“Hold it!” Mikey sat up. “Do you know how rare this is!?”
“You think I don’t want to!? This was dropped on me the same time as you!”
“Yeah!” Mikey’s head shook with stress. “Stupid secret diner meetings with dad were not on my Donnie bingo card, but this marks the fourth time they’ve spoken ever! So I say again: hold it!”
“We have to go inside eventually!”
“Yeah, when the timers go off!”
Something beeped.
One single clear time.
“Mikey…”
Mikey paled.
“What was that!?”
“The… fifteen minute warning?” Mikey eeked out and went to grab his phone. “It’s 6:15…”
“We need to go inside!”
“We can wait!”
“Let’s just peek!”
“You peek!” Mikey scrambled up a step further from the window. “I’m not chancing nothing!”
You didn’t blame him in the slightest and inched forward slowly where your hips were weary. Nothing you couldn’t handle as you were a base level of sore as of late, you edged forward and carefully placed your fingers to the sill before hoisting yourself up to look inside. A clip of the counter blocked some of your vision, but you could see Donnie sitting with his back toward you and looking down the couch where you imagined Splinter was.
“What do you see?” Mikey was obviously impatient.
“I can only see Donnie, but there’s no signs of a fight. He’s just…” You stared hard at the back of your boyfriend’s head. “… sitting there.”
“That’s probably fine…?” Mikey seemed to be genuinely asking.
“Yeah…” Your crouch put further pressure on your bladder. “I’m opening the window.”
“Y/N!” Mikey clanged against the fire escape as he shied another step away.
“We have to go back in eventually! Everything will burn!” You pressed the jamb lightly before cracking it.
You felt the rush of air and the scent of food waft out, but little more.
Your heart beat fast in your chest and you moved to check with Mikey.
His eyes were a new kind of wide.
‘Bad?’ You mouthed as obviously as you could.
Mikey shook his head furiously.
Your abdomen pulsed.
You pushed the window further up.
Mikey caught your arm.
You wordlessly pulled from him.
His head shook so fast his hair was coming out of its tie.
You yanked to the side and both of you struggled in front of the window.
“Is it really possible to love someone who is evil?”
Both you and Mikey froze at the sound of Donnie’s voice
Then you were nearly beating each other to try to close to the window.
“I once told her I knew there was still good in her.” Splinter’s response came next.
You heard a dull sound.
Something indistinct and electronic.
Mikey’s eyes turned white and he disappeared from you.
Blinking into the empty fire escape, you swore you heard the faint sound of a timer in the distance.
That meant the food was done.
You had to go inside no matter what.
Stunned, you looked toward the window with your heart plummeting and pushed it all the way up so you could climb back inside.
“I was wrong!” Splinter’s voice cracked as your belly pressed against the sill, halfway through. “Still good!? What does that mean!? She never said anything, but she must have known. Why was I so hung up on the distinction? Good. Bad…” He heaved a heavy breath.
You nearly somersaulted over, but you channeled every ounce of your physical therapy and just barely saved yourself with a careful foot to the floor.
“Love does not know such things! I loved her in spite of everything. I loved her after she imprisoned me. I loved her because I loved her. Her alignment or however you would say was not what my heart chose. I chose the woman who understood me. Who sat by me. Who liked going out dancing as much as she appreciated a good movie night on the couch!”
The last of your muscle strength was spent on dropping as silently to the floor as you could.
“I wonder if it was… my fault we drifted apart and… that may be…? Oh, but these things happen... I did not condone her activities. I still don’t, but I’d be lying if I didn’t think I liked that she’s still feisty!”
Donnie gave what was almost a laugh.
It also sounded congested.
You slithered on your belly with only the intention of getting to the bathroom and not interrupting.
“Donatello. None of us chose the life we are born into. I’d say we get to choose after and to a point I did, but a certain destiny caught up with me. Right… Wrong… Who’s to say? I made the decisions I did.”
You were close to the edge of the counter.
“What I can tell you is that when the time comes, for whatever that may be, you get the choice in how you react. When I had my hand in stopping the Shredder or the Krang, I wish I could say I thought of humanity. I didn’t. I thought of my boys. I thought of…” Splinter cut himself off and his voice shook. “I did what I did out of love. I continue to do it for the same. If you are worried that is bad, then you are wrong. Love may be the only right choice any of us can make.”
Your head appeared out from the wood and you saw Splinter first.
He had slid down to the middle of the couch at some point and Donnie now took his old spot at the sofa’s arm.
With his back to you, Donnie was slightly hunched, but that wasn’t what you were looking at.
Down on Donnie’s knee, you saw Splinter’s spindly pink hand settled on top of Donnie’s.
Neither party moved and there were tears in the air.
You meant to run.
You meant to fly.
You were going to lock yourself in the bathroom.
You weren’t going to intrude on this scene.
Instead you rose at the same time a blue light flashed.
Your heart hit the floor.
Donnie and Splinter jolted apart and turned in that direction.
“Y/N!” Mikey hissed as quietly as he could behind you.
Your head tilted toward the sound, but you couldn’t peel your gaze away.
Leo slipped out of the portal with his eyes closed and a carton of cream in his hand. “Yello, dinner party people!”
Raph’s arm appeared next, but Leo froze in his way.
Donnie spun and was heading towards you with his head down.
Staring at where your boyfriend had just been on the couch, Leo was looking at the vision of his father with huge fat tears in his eyes.
“Dad…?” Leo whispered a silent spell.
As if your blood pressure hadn’t fallen enough, it broke through the floor.
Leo didn’t know Splinter was going to be here.
Mikey’s earlier action slapped you in the face.
“What-” Leo’s voice darkened and he moved toward you.
Donnie passed you and Mikey squeaked where he was clearly still in the window based on the way he struggled.
A blue light broke out behind you and you turned to watch Leo’s head appear there, cutting Donnie off. “-did you do!?”
Donnie’s head snapped upright and from this angle all you could see was Leo’s face.
It was broken glass and horrified awe.
Raph whispered something to Splinter.
He was making sure his dad was alright.
“You…” Donnie spoke against the will of his body.
Leo was stuck by only his own accord while Mikey was very literally wedged in the window.
Donnie’s got his sights on the youngest.
“Why was Leonardo not informed?” Ice crystals could have formed on Donnie’s words and you would have believed they were real.
“Th-th-that’s-! U-um!!” Mikey’s hands splat against the wall where he tugged as hard as he could before he popped out of the jamb.
He hit the ground in a flop and shot to his feet, curling around Leo’s portal.
“Th-this looks bad, but I-I told you! There was no way Leo or Raph would have agreed! I couldn’t tell them!” Mikey stopped just shy of passing his disembodied brother.
No one moved.
“They would have stopped me! Or dad!” Mikey pleaded, tears welling up in his eyes. “You know that!”
Donnie inhaled a single time.
“I agreed!”
The scene had not defrosted, but you felt everyone’s attention shift to where Splinter had yelled out.
“When Michelangelo told me you wanted to talk, he shared his concerns about the others!” Splinter’s harsh voice didn’t have a single edge. “I agreed it would be best for me to slip in! They know I am stubborn! As long as I got here, they would not make me leave!”
Smoothly, his words slid and coiled around the group.
“Do they…” Donnie lifted his head and you knew he’d placed his villain persona on. “… control you?”
Splinter made an audible jarred sound.
“Elderly rat at the whims of his more powerful sons?” Donnie was careful in rotating so he stayed out of your view and hit a button to turn off the oven.
“Donatello…” Splinter begged.
“All you do is lie.” Donnie’s malice broke and it dripped to the floor with several hard plops. “Always! All of you!” In a spin, you finally glimpsed your mate and the tears that flung from the velocity of his rage. “You never stop! You compulsive animals!!! HOW?! HOW CAN ANYONE BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SAY!? WHEN YOU TAKE NOTHING SERIOUSLY?! WHEN YOU NEVER HAVE!? HOW CAN ANY OF THIS BE REAL!? WAS ANY OF THIS-!?!”
“It was!” Splinter stepped up onto the arm of the couch with tears matting his fur. “Donatello, please! You have to understand! I take this matter more seriously than any other!”
“Oh.” The cadence of Donnie’s words bled. “This then? You take this seriously? Now? NOW?!” He bellowed and even you flinched. “OBVIOUSLY NOW IN YOUR OLD AGE! LATER! OF COURSE! I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN! YOU ALWAYS HAD IT IN YOU! YOU JUST HAD TO HAVE ME GROVEL! NOT BEFORE THOUGH! THIS IS THE MATTER OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE! NOT WHEN A CHILD GOES MISSING! NOT WHEN A LAB EXPLODES AND YOU SAW, YOU SAW, ONE OF FOUR NOT END UP IN YOUR CLUTCHES?! NOT THEN!? NOT TO EVEN LOOK ONCE!!! NOT WHEN A LITTLE BOY WAS LEFT AND TORTURED FOR YEARS!!!”
Donnie choked.
Splinter welled up.
You looked to the others.
Mikey had brought his hands up to cover his mouth and his tears flowed from grossly large eyes.
Leo still hung, half in, half out, of his portal across the apartment and his face was painted with the bitter weight of the knowledge.
Raph’s lips drew a warped line and his features winced, but he refused to look away.
None of them knew.
Like Leo hadn’t known about the library.
Only you knew Donnie’s past.
“Now…” Donnie threw up his tear stained cheeks and checked around the air. “NOT, NOW HUH!? NOT IN THE ONLY APPLICABLE MOMENT?! NOT A SINGLE GUN!? NOT EVEN A BULLET! WHAT A HANDY FUCKING SCAPEGOAT THAT ALLUDES ME!!! YET ANOTHER BLIGHT BROUGHT UPON BY THE HAMATO NAME!! WHY!? WHY NOW!? WHY DOES MY ACCURSED NINPO NOT MANIFEST NOW!?!”
“It’s because you’re not angry.”
Donnie turned to you with outright betrayal on his features.
You rose with the blow of it and felt your face crumple. “You’re not mad… You’re… You’re sad…”
You watched, up close, how every emotion fell off Donnie’s face.
Left only with featureless surprise, his pupils shook with the empty off-whites in his eye before he turned.
He was going to run.
He needed to leave.
You would field the others.
You only needed to stop four mutant men.
Simple enough on a broken body.
They were already looking at you.
You would give Donnie an opening.
“THAT’S ENOUGH!!!” Raph’s voice cut through at a volume that caused the wall fixtures to shake.
It created a new spell, this one stopping time instead of freezing it.
“NO-!”Raph reached into the portal near him and yanked Leo out of the kitchen and to his side where he threw an enraged finger over top to keep his younger brother in place.
Leo’s eyes took up his entire face and his head shrank down into the top of his plastron in translation that whatever Raph was doing was new.
“MORE-!”Raph stormed into the kitchen where he skirted Donnie long enough to pick up Mikey.
The youngest was thrown clear across the apartment, toward the door, where he barely activated his flight, and staved off colliding with the surface with a burst of orange sparks.
Raph then looked out at his family across the apartment and pointedly put his shell to you and Donnie. “-LIES!!!”
Again, the apartment shook.
He stood there, a shock of muscles quivering with rage before he turned with watery eyes. “You’re right!” Raph told Donnie. “You’ve been right!”
One of Donnie’s hands started to lift.
“All this time!” Raph’s features fragmented and he had to scrub them back into place like a sliding puzzle. “Not how you did it! You fucked that up so bad, but about us! Of course you wouldn’t trust us! How could anyone trust us!?”
Donnie had clear reservations, but didn’t speak.
“We’ve said a thousand times before that we’ll change, we’ll tell the truth, that we’re finally going to quit lying, and not once has it been different! We’re not going to be different until we stop acting like it is! What happened!? Happened! What’s done!? Is done and I’m sick and tiredof pretending it’s anything else!” Raph shook with what was almost a laugh. “I’m out, Lee. As of right now? I quit.” Coming up, he looked the most serene you’d ever seen him. “I quit the team. Hell! As it is? I quit the family.”
You heard Leo scramble.
Raph looked right at Donnie. “I’m going to the roof and I’m going to explain our ninpo. I’m going to tell the damn smoggy sky for all I care. You come or you don’t. Raph is currently a solo act.”
Raph then walked straight over to the window and stared at it for only a second before he grabbed the casing.
Your body pulsed with fear, but Raph barely flexed and pulled the entire frame straight out of the wall and brick outside. “I’ll fix this later.”
Setting the window frame down with far too much care for the destruction he just wrought to your wall, Raph walked out onto the creaking fire escape and climbed up out of view.
Donnie only surveyed some rubble that had landed by his foot before he moved to follow.
You stared as your partner stepped onto the metal.
He paused for a moment, never looked back, and continued after the oldest.
You felt a brush and looked down to find Splinter at your feet.
The old man gave you a single even nod before he too followed out the hole.
Leo made a noise.
As soon as Splinter stepped outside a blaring red wall appeared to block the path.
You heard a knob click.
You spun just in time to see Mikey in your front doorway where he had a similarly empty expression.
Your lips parted to ask.
Mikey drew a tight line with his. “No more lies.”
You wanted to yell that you weren’t.
Of the entire lot of them, you’d lived the most honest.
That wasn’t quite true.
You only had excuses.
Guilt wringing you out, Mikey left and the door closed behind it.
That left you and Leo.
With Mikey manning the front door and Raph blocking what was once a window, you were now trapped with the only turtle who despised you.
You stood in the lingering heat of the oven.
Despite melting down, Donnie still took the time to save the food you and Mikey had worked so hard to prepare.
You loved your mate so much.
Had you hurt him?
Why had you told him that about his ninpo?
Should you have stood up for him more?
You held your hands close to the oven handle.
It seemed then, and still did, that you had said what you needed to.
You needed to be alone with him to deal with everything that had happened.
You’d already agreed to do exactly that.
It would help if you had a few of those categories sorted.
Donnie always did prefer you to have done your homework.
He’d done his both with Splinter and then would come with spades having had a conference with Raph.
That left you now needing to deal with your shit.
So you said what you needed to. “Guess we could start with the easiest stuff.”
Leo grunted lightly in what you imagined was him getting to his feet.
“How you’ve said you wanted me dead twice now.” You threaded your fingers through the oven handle, but only held it.
“Wrong.” You heard Leo try the front door.
Either Mikey or S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. was keeping it closed.
You imagined the automaton was somewhere with popcorn.
“At the gala, one. You wouldn’t remember my name.” You squeezed metal. “And the last time we really spoke. You said I hoped I would be your final straw.”
“I didn’t say hope.”
“But you did say you wanted me dead.”
“This is purgatory.” Leo decided and a thunk sounded that you knew to be his head against the door.
“Welcome to hell.” You gave a sort of smile. “We’re doing this.”
“Raph can’t quit.” Leo spoke distant.
You crossed the apartment.
“We all agreed. No one was coerced. He’s not going to talk about our ninpo. We agreed.”
“It’s over, Leo.”
“I’m their leader.”
You stared.
There was no way to reach him.
He was going to encase himself in as many lies as he needed to protect his fragile heart.
You knew that all too well.
You had your own man doing the same.
You were careful in signaling you were going to touch him before you did.
Leo only gave you a sharp glance, but didn’t move. “Dad’s there. He’ll stop him. Dad knows the threat.”
You took Leo’s wrist and led him to turn.
He came with his head down, locked in on his delusion, and turned toward you in a show that he would not be moved.
“Mikey took a different route. He’s got me. Mikey is always my best back-up. He makes openings with his ninpo. He takes the heat. He’s fire incarnate.”
You released Leo and sized him up.
“Then I slip in. You never got to see us work coordinated. Raph’s too obvious as a bruiser. Mikey’s the real tank. I’m the speed and precision and Raph finishes them off.” His foggy gaze gave way to how happy the memories were.
Your body ached and you used the pain to watch him clearly.
“We head home to dad.” Leo was exactly where he described. “He wouldn’t ask what we did. We wouldn’t ask what he did. We existed in the moment. That’s how it was. ‘Orange, whip something up.’ ‘You got it, daddy-o!’ ‘What’s on the menu tonight?’ ‘Well, we’ve got quite the array of the latest day old delights! Locally sourced from the finest dumpsters.’ ‘I’ll take the chef’s special.’ ‘Coming right up!’ ‘Think we’ll be able to pronounce it this time?’ ‘Not a chance, Rapharoni. Not a chance…’”
You hugged straight into Leo’s center.
He made an audible, “Oof.”
Getting as much of his carapace in your hands as you could, you squeezed him with all your might.
Leo’s arms hung limp over yours.
“’It’s knock-knees.’ ‘What the!? Gnocchi! What’s wrong with you?’ ‘You say it like no-key!’ ‘Of course there’s no key! We live in a subway! Where would we keep a door?’ ‘Leo!’ ‘That’s worse than your bit yesterday with the pho.’ ‘I thought you’d pho-geddaboudit!’ ‘Not again!’ ‘Why do you always do that!?’”
Fat tears knocked on your head one at a time.
You hugged him tighter and his sentences devolved until he was humming the tune of the past.
What had you really learned about this man?
You had no idea.
Leo never said what he meant.
Where Donnie was precise, Leo was ambiguous.
Both calculated, Leo played mental chess thinking of his finishing move while Donnie remapped the board at each step.
While each had their advantages, it was Leo’s methodology that you couldn’t follow.
Retroactive action had once threatened your relationship with Donnie.
It destroyed your knowledge of Leo before you could even place what it was.
He was too sharp.
He knew exactly how to push other’s buttons.
He was a master manipulator.
He’d done exactly what he wanted and kept you at bay.
Not without taking critical damage himself, it just so happened that you had a knack for such a thing.
You’d only inflicted him with wounds because you hadn’t planned at all.
You had time now.
It was with yours, you found Leo, small and trapped in what had to be his teen years.
He clung to memories before the world came crashing down around them.
His family.
He never saw them differently.
That was why he spoke the way he did.
It shaped how he acted.
He created a mold then and there and pressed the rest of him through melted wax.
Only the die was imperfect.
He decided his final move as a child and never looked back.
His family was his entire worth and everything he did was for them.
Only he was so focused on preserving the them of that moment, that he hadn’t seen the field of play had changed.
They no longer needed him in the way he’d decided.
No matter how many times they tried to tell him, he kept stubbornly forcing himself through that old mold.
Each time he extruded a blue shape that was more and more malformed.
It showed every edge where the plates hadn’t been properly set.
Trying relentlessly to make it work, Leo had spent decades refusing to rework the machine.
He only needed to try again.
The wax was wrong.
He was wrong.
He could fix it.
He just needed to try.
He’d sat stubborn.
Long past when the materials ran out and he had begun to crush his skin between boiling metal.
Through each throttle and scar, he continued until he no longer knew when to stop.
When his family acted out of the distorted image he drew, it was an attack of his very being.
He was betrayed again and again and forced more of himself into the mold.
If only he could get it right.
It would be an injustice for you of all people to stop him.
Not you.
Not when he’d worked so hard.
He’d worked himself past flesh and to bone.
Then from the dust, he continued to toil.
He’d been right.
You both were.
You were happenstance over a sandwich.
You’d told him about choice, but his answer sheet was worn down.
How could he make any other, when he wasn’t on your plane?
He was a trapped time traveler and his portals only cut space.
He was also wrong.
Raph’s fed up speech ghosted your ears.
Things happened.
It was done.
You felt the shift.
By speaking those few words into existence and disrupting the flow, Raph had upset the status quo in the same way you had.
Then Splinter followed.
Before Mikey made his own path.
Which left two, one wholly present and the other here in body alone.
You anchored that side of him, having hugged him so long your arms screamed with a force very unlike all the stressors from your crutches.
Leo was sobbing, but he didn’t hold you.
He simply rained his sorrows down.
What could you do?
You couldn’t tell him.
He’d heard a thousand words.
They’d had family meeting after meeting.
They’d spent a lifetime and were still in the same rut.
What about Raph’s simple action had been so different?
What about yours scared Leo so deeply, to his core?
If it was what you said, then you should have reached him.
He’d said you’d dug it out of him.
Eyes damp against his shirt, you saw a mental flurry of Leo’s baring their souls.
It wasn’t you.
It had never been you.
It had been time.
Just like Donnie.
It was time.
“You did good.”
Leo babbled a few more syllables, before he stiffened in your hold.
“You did so good.” Tears threatened your vision so you closed your eyes and put all your strength into the hug. “You were right!”
“That-” You felt his hands ghost up to push you away.
“You were!” You forced your body flush with his and sent a watery grave into his eyes. “You were right to love! You were right to fight! You were right to worry! You were right to try! You were right to do everything you could to protect your family! Leo, you did an amazing job!”
A revelation did not pass over Leo’s features.
He stared down at you, spellbound.
He saw you.
The current you.
He saw now.
“They lived!” You told the parts of him, one foreign and aged mingling with the other who hadn’t properly looked in a mirror in years. “You did it. You got them all here! You protected them!”
“I…?” He believed you.
Your cheeks threatened to swallow your eyes. “Every one of them.”
“But they…”
“But nothing!” You stepped closer into him and he had to widen his stance to stay upright. “You can keep punishing yourself, but that doesn’t do them any good! They’re waiting for you! They don’t care what you did! They care what you do now! So, you didn’t save them the way you wanted? Does that really matter? The end result is the same!”
His own philosophy crashed the pieces of him together and he wobbled.
You squeezed until you thought your shoulders might pop out of their sockets. “And that’s where you are. You’re at the end of the road, Leo. You did it. You’re done. Your job is done.”
The first breath he took gave his new form life.
The second felt the years he’d lost.
The third sipped bittersweet in the many lives the old him had touched.
Then came happiness.
In a wave so large, his teeth lined up for a decade’s wide smile.
The time between flowed like a river down his face in droves.
“You can rest.” You buried your face into him, but saved your mouth. “Your loved ones are here and they’re waiting. They’ve been waiting all this time. They want to thank you. You did everything you could.”
Leo hugged you.
In one giant sweep, all that you had squeezed into him was returned until you were nearly bowled over.
You genuinely had no idea how either of you were still upright.
“He’s in good hands.” You added as soon as you got your oxygen back.
It was crushed right back out of you and together you both cried.
The downpour washed the slate clean.
You weren’t sure if you would etch it anew, but for now you were going to store it.
There was time.
So much so, especially for Leo, that you languished in it. It brought you both stumbling to the couch where neither of you could let go. It was only after being seated side by side did you feel sturdy, but Leo didn’t let go with an arm slung around your shoulders. He grew into a frustrating weight, but there was a certain comedy to it that had you both barbing each other with little spikes for a sense of normalcy. You weren’t sure if that would be your relationship moving forward, but for now it felt like you could traverse it on your own terms.
When Raph came down the fire escape in a series of clangs, Leo only arched out where he still had a hold on you and greeted his brother with a wry smile.
If Leo’s newly current presence was obvious to you, it was plain as day for Raph, who was moving forward. “Leo!”
“Hey, bro. Miss me? Bring that big beautiful mug over here for me to see!” Leo extracted his arm from you and whispered a parting sorrow in your ear. “Sorry, doll.”
For a moment you were on a rooftop until you were back in your apartment looking at Leo.
“What can I say?” He was all smarmy charm. “A fling’s a fling! No hard feelings?”
You had a thousand insults on your tongue, but Donnie’s arms wrapped around your middle and he extracted you with a bitter glower.
Leo didn’t pay him any mind and caught Raph by the cheeks to squeeze them. “Prickly, you forget to shave?”
“What can I say? It’s past five o’clock.” Raph fluttered his lashes.
“Big news: I’m thinking about quitting too.” Leo gave Raph’s face one last squish before he let go.
“Oh?” Raph craned his brow ridge through his mask.
“Yeah, thinking about starting a new team. I’m still workshopping a name. I’m thinking Mayhem’s Mutants. We get ourselves a cute mascot. Everybody loves a cute mascot.” Leo tipped his head, amused.
“He is cute.” Raph caught the joking bug. “Good luck with that, I’ll have to see. I sent out a ton of resumes and have already gotten a few calls back.”
“That right? Well, make sure to suit up for the interviews and when they hit you with that bit at the end asking if you have any questions, you always, always, ask ‘em about parking. They eat that shit up.” Leo threw out his hand in a smoothing sailing motion.
“Thanks. I think I will.” Raph chuckled.
“Also, like remember though, I’m just saying, my thing has dental…! So… you know… keep your options open, alright?” Leo clucked.
Donnie cuddled you close where he’d pulled you clean over the back of the couch.
You leaned back and bumped your head against the underside of his chin.
He rested there.
Little nail clicks were Splinter and you opened your eyes to see him crawl up onto the couch to approach his middle son.
A small fear caught you and you grabbed Donnie to share the load.
He held you tightly.
It hadn’t occurred to you that Leo’s change could be an impermeant one, but faced with this father, a certain manifestation of how he came to be could upset the balance.
You wanted to interfere, but it was out of your hands.
Splinter touched Leo’s arm before moving to cup his son’s cheek.
He then pinched hard and pulled.
“Ow, ow, ow!” Leo squawked.
“Do you know how long we’ve been waiting!?” Splinter complained.
It was the perfect response.
Leo immediately welled up with tears.
“Come on, pops! C-can’t have been that long…” Leo spoke weepy.
“Foolish boy!” Splinter scolded, but his sharp edge was disintegrating by the second.
Raph smiled and you watched his eyes flash red.
Leo’s joined for a flicker of blue and you felt Donnie jolt around you.
Looking up you found him with a shine of purple in his iris and then the front door exploded open.
“Leo!!!” Mikey shrieked and flew straight to tackle Leo off the couch and into Raph.
“Alright, alright! There’s enough of me to go around! Stop acting like I’ll disappear into another dimension or something!” Leo complained.
A beat of silence passed.
“Not funny, Leo!” Raph growled and pulled all the Hamato into a hug.
“What is wrong with you!?” Mikey hissed.
“You dare joke-!” Splinter threw out frustrated balled fists.
Leo laughed brightly and you felt a very specific fracture in the family mend.
You leaned further into Donnie.
He moved to envelope you, but a growl rumbled out from his stomach.
There was a pause that could only be broken by Mikey, “Dinner bell!”
Everything then went into motion. The meal was salvaged in various stages and you found that the cream you had seen Leo with was because Raph wanted to make his own dessert. He apparently had a cobbler recipe he was proud of and wanted to show off to you specifically. Splinter was able to present his green bean casserole which was admittedly delicious and supposedly his tout to where Mikey got his culinary skills. There was talk of jobs and this and that. In moving groups, you got to mostly rest as the men scarfed down comical plate loads and got into arguments over the silliest things.
It eventually broke off where Raph took full advantage of the kitchen and its central food hub as he always baked. Making quick work of repurposing a casserole dish, he eventually had time to take some measurements of a wall and Donnie dismissed him only to point outside. Raph poked his head out to find supplies on the fire escape and a calling card post-it with a caricature of S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. on it that made Leo shudder. Clean up happened with Leo taking heavy point of washing many dishes and Mikey humming alongside him as a mystic dryer with orange tinted air. Raph stacked things up to eventually take with them and Donnie shot off a message to S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. from his computer about what was left for the window repair.
It eventually brought a curious Raph over to the computer as he wasn’t going to let his promise go of being the one to fix it. The eldest tacked on a resume of the work he’d done around the lair where he’d expanded arch ways to better fit his size and architecture slid into Donnie’s special interest category. Both men were soon scouring blueprints and you feared it wouldn’t just be a window put back in place in your kitchen.
Nothing you could really do to stop them, you drifted to the side, where the other pair of turtles were entertained and found Splinter alone with a cup of tea on your couch. He gestured you over and made you one where you only faintly wondered where he’d gotten his supplies. You drank an incredible cup of smooth liquid that had you sending awe at the old man who took your praise in stride. A timer went off and Leo got a little too excited. His hand went up where it had been hand mixing a bowl of cream. The fling brought ire then a laugh from Mikey who seemed relentless in hanging off the blue brother.
All of it brought smiles to Leo’s face where piping hot cobbler was passed out with fresh dollops of cream running off.
Donnie was busy fixing a schematic and didn’t step away to grab a portion.
You’d been resting for long enough and got him one sans cream as you knew the melting whip would only sog the cobbler’s crispy top, a complaint you’d known well of your partner. Bringing the plate and a fork over, you set it down beside him to take at his leisure and he passed you a distracted glance along with an affectionate mating call for your effort.
It brought a plate clanging silence to the room.
Donnie immediately bristled.
Raph was the first to break out his excitement. “Life partners?!”
Fury was abated for repulsion on Donnie’s face. “Is that your descriptor?!”
“Uh, duh.” Leo rolled his eyes. “Kinda bigger deal than boring old English to have a special way of saying ‘I love you.’ What do you call it?”
Donnie turned and tried to bury his beak into his computer.
“Nope! Not letting that go!” Leo jumped the counter with Raph excitedly gushing about romance right behind him.
It caused Donnie to up and run from the pair where they circled the apartment making kissy faces as your boyfriend got more and more flustered.
Mikey appeared by your side with a forkful of cobbler. “I’m not into the whole thing.”
You nodded for the sake of it, watching the display and witnessing Splinter doing the same with an overflowing affection.
“Cretins!” Donnie reared a hand on a turn and with it came a wall of purple that Raph and Leo both slammed into.
Leo blinked a few rapid times before he peeled his face off the projection.
“Woah…” Raph ran his hands over the clear purple swath. “When’d you learn to make less lethal stuff?”
“Was he mad mad?” Mikey asked you. “Like ninpo making mad?”
You shook your head as you honestly didn’t believe so.
That made this Donnie’s first projection seemingly created his will alone.
This was confirmed for you as Donnie came forward to study the barrier with a finger curled to his lips.
“Amazing.” Leo was unenthused. “It’s literally a rectangle. Whoop-dee-doo. Wanna actually impress me, egghead? Make it disappear.”
“Here we go.” Mikey exaggerated an eye roll.
“It’s not magic!” Leo bristled.
“You were one step away from saying abracadabra.” Raph snarked.
Leo mimed the magic word mockingly to the oldest.
Donnie had his brow wrinkled during the exchange in clear effort.
Something then occurred to him and he leaned away with a slow exhale as if giving up.
The wall crumbled with pixels collapsing like a perfectly cleared Tetris screen.
Leo arched his mask. “Huh. Well alright.”
“Let’s try for a pistol.” Donnie flared with a tame malevolence for him.
“I’m blameless! You shoot your sensei!” Leo pointed at Raph as he exited and headed over to Splinter. “Got a cup for me?”
“I’d need to boil more wa-” Splinter yawned.
Mikey’s expression grew gooey. “About time.”
“I can stay up!” Splinter complained.
“He’ll be passed out in ten.” Raph told you.
You giggled.
“I will not! This is a special occasion!” Splinter brushed his eldest off with a wave of his hand.
Leo put the kettle on and Splinter fell asleep before it even hissed.
Burners clicked off, there was a quiet movement of gathering things and dividing leftovers. It struck you that Donnie hadn’t consumed anything, but you had a feeling he might later. All based on chance and how things held up, you did your best in choosing to take dishes he might like and a portal was soon formed to transport the rest. Straight into the lair kitchen, things were filed out with the final retrieval being Raph carrying a snoring Splinter through to put him to bed. The eldest then returned once the apartment was emptied and the three Hamato children stood in front of the portal for their goodbyes.
A less than poignant affair, you mostly got a group hug where they wished you well and there were promises of check-in texts. All in order, Donnie stood politely aside and watched on for a slight nod as his great thank you. It was accepted with a few jeers that he barked at and with that the men exited one at a time and Leo’s portal blinked away for the foreseeable future.
Donnie swept you off your feet within seconds. “What happened?”
“Which part?” You tittered as he was pressed behind you and carried you like a hostage to the bathroom.
“You were close! You smell like orange and blue all over.”
“Mikey pulled me out the window and I finally got through to Leo, for real this time.”
“You will shower and explain.” He decided gruffly and it was so endearingly him that you didn’t mind as you stripped.
He sat off to the side, peeking through the curtain as you did a quick wash of your body while regaling him with all that had occurred that night. For Mikey, Donnie cared little, but he ran a gambit of fury at the audacity of the middle Hamato for slighting you. He was still mad, but quieted as you exited the shower damp and nude. It distracted him and he only held a huff as he did his washing up at the sink where you eventually brushed your teeth. Whisked to bed in a none too romantic sense, Donnie instead ate up physical affection in a very literal sense. Mouthing over whatever skin wasn’t coated in pajamas, he obviously scented you before cuddling close where you finally asked him about how he watched your physical therapy.
He began by impressing upon you how proud he was to have you as his mate. He explained that even when he struggled to watch or help, you fought mercilessly and he couldn’t have been more enamored. He even went so far back to remark on your handling of the kidnapping, a lost time that he still applauded you for because however long it was, you’d survived. You’d eventually kissed into him, sweetly at first, in a way that reminded you of tasting a rare bottle of wine. The complexity came with airing and outpoured details.
You found out Donnie had in fact been doing mental constructions during his meditation. While Leo had stopped him from implementing new security cameras, Sinai Hospital had their own footage which Donnie had pilfered and gone through. When he played the tape back and examined it, he’d found that his ninpo didn’t just appear out of thin air, it was constructed there, piece by piece just as he had learned as a child. Hearing Mikey say meditation came with a variety techniques helped him pair the ideas and he found the schematic process to be a soothing one regardless of the lethal creation it was trying to curb. He was pleased with the progress and, as you had seen, had recently start to tap into his ninpo as a pool of energy.
Until tonight he hadn’t been able to conjure anything, but in his increased meditation, he no longer found the raging purple flame inside him. It was now an organ like any other, only it extended far beyond his body’s reach. He could now imagine himself approaching the well as if it were a materials cache. He imagined with practice not only could he manifest anything he could imagine, but there were probably other uses for the purple ooze beyond that.
You added what you knew about the other turtle’s power and Donnie revealed to you the conversation had on the roof. Just as Raph had said, he only explained the history and knowledge of the ninpo and nothing more. It was apparently a combined manifestation of the Hamato clan’s essence. A generational pool of power passed down, it was an exclusive art that was thought to only be tapped by wholly connecting and trusting one’s family. It manifested uniquely to each user, but seemed as unlimited and wild as all mystic arts. There was no discussion after the presensation and the trio on the roof had spent a time in silence, allowing the knowledge to permeate.
You tucked in close to Donnie at the thought of him wholly connecting to save you, his family, and he confirmed that, in that moment, he forgot all else, but a drive to save you. Overridden yourself, you felt compelled to open up about your healing humiliations. From stink to lashing out, Donnie took his time dismantling your concerns while also rubbing those exhausted muscles of yours.
Exhaustion and eventual mutual caressing coaxed loose lips where revealed he’d asked Splinter over because he needed a firsthand account of how love worked between a supposed hero and villain. Now that the forewarned grave harm had finally come to you, Donnie found it difficult to imagine you could have any sort of safe life together so he had to turn to the only pair he knew that had chanced and survived such a feat, successful or not. You admitted what you’d overhead and Donnie didn’t fault you. He only plied affections on how you’d snuck in without his knowledge.
Beofre he diverted back to you, there was something about the way Donnie spoke of his conversation with Splinter.
He had a finality to him.
Not as an ends, but a means to, something about his tone made you think this was the final barrier that had kept him from actually proposing.
You had to ask if that was the case as your lids grew heavy.
It was drawing close to dawn.
You’d spent hours catching up.
“Yes..” He breathed warmth at your intuitiveness. “I had reservations. Unrelated to the grotesque concept of asking a father’s permission, however.”
You were both gazing at each other from your pillows. “That last bit hadn’t crossed my mind. I swear.”
“He… did help...” He admitted. “He apparently proposed to Big Mama.”
You startled as much as your tired body could.
“Her response was to reveal her plans and imprison him to fight as a slave in her arena.”
“Oh…”
“He… still has the ring.”
You reached for Donnie.
He met you with careful fingers.
You wondered if Splinter had been any sort of stuck like Leo. There was the many names the old man had and he’d been open about his regrets. A frustrating like father, like son, you supposed it made sense and felt optimistic for the Hamato going forward.
Their familial bonds were apparently transcendent.
“His didn’t work out, but you think ours will?” You murmured.
“He was happenstance, to be clear. An example, if anything.”
You made a curious trill.
Donnie wormed closer. “Sleep, my love.”
“What was it, Don… exactly?”
Donnie’s beak lightly brushed the tip of your nose. “I was reassured that I am unlike them. Their cycle does not apply to me. I am something new. I am me and am immune to their failure.”
You brushed his cheek with a sloppy swipe. “Only one of you.”
“And you.” He pressed closer to seal the comment, before giving you space to sleep.
