OKAY

I think I understand how ill know if my rocks are ready for step 2 now

I checked on them again and some of them have a noticeably different texture in places than they had yesterday

Which is to be expected obviously but I wasnt sure if I would be able to tell but for once being super sensitive to different textures pays off. While they mostly still feel like a very high grit sandpaper, some parts of a few of them are noticeably smoother

So im just gonna try to leave them alone for a few days....mostly cuz im gonna run out of gloves if I keep checking every day

Anyway took a few pictures while I was down there but I dont like sitting on the basement floor so i was squatting and also had the hall light on upstairs since I was about to go to bed and was trying to move kind of fast

So I only took pictures of 2 of them

I think the top one is starting to get some details showing through the brown outer shell???

And that jasper has gotten so tiny compared to how big it was when it went in. I still like it but I wish id taken it out of stage one earlier than the others cuz it shrunk a bit more than I wouldve liked

Like I really wish id taken it out after that second picture

I'll have to find another one like it and try again sometime. Obviously they won't look exactly the same but...at least I've taken a lot of pictures of it over the course of this
