Can we all admit something?
That Rei was also abusive?
Like she also neglected Touya, Fuyumi and Natsuo? I mean yall be saying that they don’t blame her but Touya does? I mean touya told her that she’s guilty too??? Yes he wanted to apologize to her but just her to all of them but they just forgot about him??? Rei literally still can’t see how hurt touya is and how she also compares her children abuse by saying there’s one who’s hurt then the other? How all of them even if they didn’t have any memory of her with them unlike Shoto still call her mom? Shoto has been shown what love is and the others? I mean if fuyumi and natsuo forgive her now that’s bc she’s not mentally well but as kids I believe they always felt jealous of shoto. Like when touya had his breakdown and tried to attack baby shoto, she didn’t go to hold her baby who just had a breakdown like 8 years old child having a breakdown this is so fucked up! Instead she went and stayed with Shoto?!!! She wasn’t abused until shoto was born. The way she used to hug shoto when he cry and watch tv with him and put good things in his mind while she never did any of that to touya? She did but when he’s 13? Like when it’s too late? I mean he was 5, at some why she didn’t even try to do the same thing maybe as a lil child could put something in his brain. But Touya doesn’t know what love is, what mother’s love is. He only think love is “training” and that shows how touya was only a tool to both rei and enji 👍🏽
#rei#dabi#touya#enji#bnha#boku no hero academia#mha#todoroki#my hero academia#bnha dabi#touya todoroki#Rei todoroki#rei himura#i mean i think there’s a novel where i read that natsuo felt jealous of shoto#and how he got rei and enji’s attention#as he also tried to get their attention but he failed#idk where did i read that#anyway neglect is also a form of abuse#and touya is mentally unstable child#and rei being abused doesn’t excuse her abuse#she was abusive even before Enji started abusing her#both of enji and rei abused their kids the same way#by neglecting them

part of me (is part of you) — ft. todoroki touya
you realize for the first time, when touya brings you home to his mother, just how much he looks like her. he realizes for the first time, when he brings you home to his mother, just how much he doesn’t look like his father
before you read: fem reader ; non quirk au + canon divergence (enji is in JAIL) ; established relationship ; touya has tattoos instead of burns (he has one burn scar on his back, though) ; rei lives in a peaceful little home of her own like she deserves ; mentions of fuyumi, natsuo, and shouto ; hints at child and domestic abuse (canon enji core) ; food as a love language
“Keep your schedule free this Friday.”
Touya doesn’t ask, just tells you like he expects it to happen. You roll your eyes, sparing him a glance as he scrolls through his phone sprawled on your couch.
“And if I’m already busy?”
“Then get un-busy,” he grumbles. Then, after a moment of consideration, adds: “you’ll enjoy it, anyway.”
“Why? Are you taking me on a fancy date? You grin, walking over and giving his head a playful shove. He glares up at you, but lifts his head wordlessly, long enough to let you sit before he lets it fall onto your lap.
“No,” he huffs. “Keep dreaming.”
“You say that,” you tease, poking his cheek as he clicks his teeth, “but you always end up taking me.”
“Not anymore,” he swats your hand away. He pretends to go back to scrolling through his phone, but you can tell he’s not paying attention. Not with how fast his thumb swipes, too quickly to register anything on his screen.
“So what’re we doing?”
“You’ll see.”
“C’mon, Touya,” you flick his forehead, making him grunt unhappily, “you have to tell me. How else will I dress appropriately?”
“Just be yourself.”
“What if my true self is dressing up like a hooker?”
“Well, I’ll appreciate it,” he glances up, giving you a cheeky grin, “my mom might not.”
You pause.
He casually goes back to scrolling through his phone, still not really paying attention like he tries to pretend he his.
“Your mom?”
“The woman who popped me out, that’s the one.”
“We’re meeting her?”
“Well, she’s been nagging about it nonstop,” he sighs, “she wants you to meet the rest of my little siblings eventually, too. There’s no way out of it.”
He sounds irritated by the idea. Unhappy enough that your hand tangles into his hair soothingly, threading through the white strands as his lips curl into a puckered frown.
Touya doesn’t talk about his family. Not much, anyway. Sometimes he gives you short, clipped details about his childhood. Just the fond memories—the ones he hardly looks back on like they’re few and far in between.
Me and my brother Natsuo used to fight over those, he’ll tell you sometimes, when you open a bag of candy.
You sound like my sister, he’ll snort when you cry over his feet on the coffee table.
He has another younger brother too. Shoto, he slurs the name one night, drunk and too far gone to realize what he’s saying, y’know he used to be my dad’s favorite? Before the old man got himself locked up. Man, that brat gets on my nerves.
“You don’t sound too excited,” you murmur softly, running a finger along the bridge of his nose. He shrugs, refusing to look up and meet your gaze.
“S’whatever. Was bound to happen sooner or later. It’s just my mom this time around, anyway—shouldn’t be too bad.”
“I could get sick,” you offer, “from…from sushi you brought me.”
“Why does it have to be my fault,” he snorts, face breaking into a small grin, “I bring you nice things.”
“You do,” you giggle, nodding. “Then…oh! I could twist my ankle falling down the steps. Right on our way there—such a tragedy,” you huff theatrically.
“I like your bright ideas, doll,” he shakes his head, eyes glinting with amusement, “but we might as well get it over with. I already promised her.”
“You sure?” You cup his cheek, staring down at him as he finally looks up at him. Two teal, pretty little eyes staring from your lap. You’ve never gotten a face to match them too, one to show you where they come from.
He grabs your hand, fiddling with your fingers as he mumbles a quiet, “yeah. I’m sure.”
“Okay,” you nod. And then, because you can’t ignore those eyes, you lean down and press a kiss to his forehead.
He relaxes at that, grins as he murmurs, “and then we can fuck on my childhood bed, too.”
“No, Touya. Absolutely not.”
——————————
The drive to Touya’s childhood home takes a good hour. It’s not his first home—he tells you that in the car. His mother moved him and his siblings not long after his father’s trial.
She couldn’t stand being in those walls, he’d mumbled, starting his car, neither could I. The paint was ugly.
I didn’t realize you had an eye for interior design so young, you’d teased. That got a laugh out of him—enough to ease the tension in his shoulders as he drapes a hand on your thigh and starts driving.
You trace the tattoos littering the back of his hand on the way there, finger gentle and light as it maps out the ink on his skin and earns hums of approval from him every now and then.
“We’re here,” he says blandly when he finally parks. “It isn’t much. My mom couldn’t afford something as nice as the one my old man—”
“It’s nice,” you smile sweetly. You mean it. You stare at it with an awed expression as you murmur, “looks cozy.”
Touya pauses, staring at you for a moment before he lets out a shaky breath.
He can’t help but pull you into a kiss—abrupt and hard as his hand cups the back of your head and pulls you against him. “You’re something else,” he mumbles between kisses along your mouth, “you know that?”
“Are you crazy?” You gasp. You still kiss him back, regardless, making him smile smugly into you.
“Why?”
“Your mom might see through the window,” you whisper into his lips, earning a chuckle from him.
“Do you always have to worry?”
“Someone has to,” you hum, rolling your eyes as you finally pull away. You glance at the mirror to make sure your lipgloss isn’t too damaged. (It is. It’s all over Touya’s lips as evidence, too). “You’re not exactly the brightest mind.”
“Well good thing I have you to think for me so I don’t have to,” he says with a wink, sliding out of his door as he does a little jog to reach yours.
You giggle, watching as he opens your door for you and offers you a hand. “Please join me, milady.”
“Why thank you, kind sir,” you beam, taking his hand and stepping out.
Touya spent the better half of his life brooding. Bitter. Something of a cynical guy who hated every happy couple he’d witnessed, wondered why it was like that for them and not him. Not his family. Not his parents. Maybe, if his asshole father had decided to be the husband the old man should’ve been, then he wouldn’t have to dread the idea of you meeting his family.
It feels too real this way. Feels like he has to relive it all just so you can know about it—you deserve to know about it, know about him. And you will. Someday, at least. He doesn’t know if he can handle it right now.
But you seem content with what he gives you, never asking for more than what he offers you little by little. It’s nice. It feels like maybe, in some twisted stroke of luck, maybe he can be a happy couple he used to hate so much, be so jealous of, be so bitter about.
And maybe he could be the husband his father should have been—for you.
But that’s for later. Right now, he has his mother to worry about as you both approach the front door.
“She can be a bit much,” he pauses and murmurs, “just so you know.”
“I think every guy says that about their mom,” you hum.
“You meet a lot of guys and their moms?” He asks offended, giving you a curled pout as you snort.
“No,” you roll your eyes, “quit pouting.”
“M’not pout—”
“Touya,” a voice calls softly before a woman much shorter than him is opening the door and grabbing his cheeks, pulling him down to inspect him.
“Hi mom,” he sighs, letting her study his face before she finally nods approvingly.
“You’ve been eating enough?”
“Yes.”
“Drinking enough water?”
“Yes.”
“Sleeping at normal hours?”
“Yes.”
“No more cigarettes? I mean it.”
“Yes,” he sighs in exasperation, ears burning a slight red. “No more cigarettes.”
“Good,” she nods—and then she looks over at you.
She looks just like him, you think. White hair. Soft, round face. Those pretty lashes you’re so jealous of. The only difference is that she’s missing those beautiful, warm teal eyes of his. Hers are cooler, an icy gray that makes her eyes look sharper compared to Touya’s.
He must have his father’s eyes, you think—it must be why he never looks in the mirror for too long.
“Oh,” she breathes, cupping your own cheeks, “it’s so lovely to meet you—Touya talks so much about you.”
“No I don’t,” he grumbles. “Never mentioned her.”
“Don’t listen to him,” she laughs, admiring you as she holds your face, “he’s very fond of you.”
“Am not,” he huffs. “I don’t even like her that much.”
“I’m sure,” you giggle—his face is turned to the side, the small pieces of his dignity left barely holding him together as he tries to hide his reddened cheeks from you.
His mother ushers you in, hand guiding you on the small of your back as you walk through the small hall into the living room.
It’s as cozy inside as it looks from the outside. Touya’s mother has taken great care to make this house a home. (Rei, she introduces herself. Call me Rei). You suppose it makes sense. Their first house was so far from a home, so desolate of the safeness and comfort it should have had. You don’t know the details—Touya can never talk about it long enough to offer too many.
You’ve stringed together the gist of it through the small details, though.
My old man’s in jail. Gets out sometime next year, I think, he’d said vaguely at the start of your relationship. You didn’t ask any further questions, just squeezing his hand in yours. He squeezed back with a thick swallow.
My mom couldn’t look me in the eyes for years at one point. They reminded her too much of him, he’d said on the first birthday you spent with him. He returned from the other room after a phone call with his mother, eyes hazy and distant as he recalls that small detail of his past. You kissed him extra hard that night.
Got that from my old man, he’d smiled dryly one night, when you’d traced a small burn scar running across his back, pissed him off over something. Don’t remember what. You kissed his scar that night as he slept with his back towards you, curled in your arms.
So much of Touya is foreign to you. So much is not. So much of him is kept locked away to keep him protected so no one who should love him can hurt him again.
This house, however is cozy. Homely. Safe. There are pictures everywhere. That’s the first thing you notice—Touya as a baby, as a toddler, as a young child. Touya on a bike. Touya on the swings. Touya in a pool. Touya grumpy at his high school graduation sandwiched between his two brothers, his sister beaming at the side.
His siblings are everywhere too, of course, but your eyes seem to only find him. He looks happy, you think, despite the less than happy start to his childhood. He looks happy in the few moments stolen by the camera, framed for his mother to look back on.
“You were so tiny,” you giggle, “not much has changed.”
He raises an eyebrow with an amused scoff, shaking his head as he murmurs, “not what you said the other night.”
It’s out of earshot for his mother—or so he thinks. She slaps his shoulder hard enough with a disapproving frown to make him hiss and hold a hand up in surrender.
“Touya,” she scolds, “watch that mouth of yours.”
“Jeez,” he says through a low, petulant grumble, “fine.”
“You let me know if he gives you any trouble,” Rei gives you an apologetic look. You laugh, ruffling your boyfriend’s hair as he clicks his teeth and crosses his arms.
“He’s not much trouble, actually,” you murmur gently, “I think he’s pretty great.”
He softens, face burning with a flush of pink as he looks down at his feet and grunts something under his breath. It sounds something suspiciously close to what a sap, earning an eye roll from you.
But his mother beams—eyes crinkled at the edges as she grabs your hand and pulls you towards the dinner table. There’s plates filled with your favorite dishes, home cooked and piping hot. It makes you realize Touya must have told his mother beforehand: the things you like, the things you don’t. Maybe more.
You lean up, kissing his jaw.
“What was that for?” He mumbles, watching his mother grab plates.
“Because I love you, of course,” you whisper. “I need a reason?”
“You love me, huh? Enough to consider my proposal about my bed?”
“Not that much,” you snort.
He pouts, fighting back a grin as he huffs, “you’re a stick in the mud. Love you too.”
You don’t know much about Touya’s childhood. Bits and parts of the ugliest moments are vaguely familiar to you, shattered pieces of a mosaic you can’t get a full picture of. But you smile at Rei—it feels like grabbing a smooth, unshattered piece and filling in the holes for him, filling in the gaps of love he missed out on.
You take a seat, right beside Touya, watching as his mother insists on plating your food for you. Somehow, despite it being your first time here, it feels like coming home.
This might be considered ooc idk but I write touya and rei how I want idc this is real to me in a non quirk au

Build-A-Bride.
Enji Todoroki X F! Reader (smut)
A/N: i can't stop writing broken enji... he's so depressed and lonely i LOVE it ^_^ isn't he just so dreamy? all downtrodden and sad? anyways this is so half-assed, sorry!
Tags: dub-con, forced/arranged marriage (sort of), age gap, mostly plot tbh (minimal smut), brief mentions of dehumanization, breeding, creampie, p in v, size difference, language barrier
Wordcount: 1.8k
Women don't like divorcés. It's a mark of failure. It brings down one's stock value. Enji's mistakes with Rei were numerous. He knew it was for the best, that he had nothing to fight for when she had the papers mailed to him. Why would he argue with her about it? The kids had all grown up and moved out. Their assets were easily separable. She did not ask for much in the split, and even if she did Enji would have given it up without pushing back.
He was a man defeated. What point would there be in chasing after Rei again? He did not love her; not truly, at least, and she certainly did not love him. They had been living stagnantly ever since she was released from the hospital. It would be a feat for them to even speak to each other over breakfast. Idle chat about the weather or what their adult children were doing was a rare treat.
Enji's life had slowed significantly. No children to fill his too-big-for-one-man house and no woman to be kept company by. Work had slowed down. Younger heroes took the top spots, slowly but surely. Even his own son was predicted to soon surpass him. Old timers, or "Golden-Age Heroes", as the media titled them, were losing fame and fortune alike. No longer the hot commodity, old was out, new was in.
He expected it, really. His goal was to be the number one hero, and he was for a while. Was it his dream to remain number one? He didn't have time to think about it before he got knocked down to a measly third place in the ranks.
He had thrown so much of himself into the hero life. It crossed his mind a few times, it all ending, but he never realized that it would come crashing down so soon. What friends he had, using the term very lightly, were less than helpful in his condition.
None less so than Hawks, of course. That damned fool.
Keigo had been dragging Enji out to these annoyingly quaint cafés for a while now. He'd force piles of biscotti and scones onto Enji's plate while blabbing on about some new excursion of his or the other, taking up the prime hours of Enji's day in the name of socializing.
Seldom it was that Enji left the impromptu meet-ups with anything but slight annoyance at best and utter exhaustion at worst. He could hardly pay attention to the meaningless drivel Keigo threw his way. Sometimes it was talk of the current hero ranks, which Enji immediately tuned out. Other times it was about a concert or movie Keigo was going to.
Lately, though, Keigo had an interest in trying to play matchmaker for Enji.
"You should really get out there," he said, smug little smile plastered on his cheeky face while he sipped his espresso. "You aren't getting younger."
Enji's response was the same as always, in that he was too busy and too old to be worrying about such things. "I do not have time to woo a woman like a schoolboy. I'm fine where I am," he responded with his arms resting on the café's comparably small table.
Keigo chuckled, curling his lips upwards. "You can only spend so many nights with your right hand, Endeavor."
"Shut your damned mouth."
"If you won't let me set you up with someone," Keigo said, not taking Enji's gruff tone seriously, as usual, "there is another option."
Enji pressed his mouth closed tightly, eyes narrowing into a judgmental squint. "It had better not be online dating."
Defensive hands flew up. "No, no. You've made that pretty clear, man. I'm talking about getting, like, a mail-order bride or whatever they're called."
"You do realize how much that sounds like human trafficking, right?"
"It does not! They still do it, you know. There are websites and everything."
Enji sighed and leaned his head back to look up at the ceiling. The idea sounded horrible. God only knew how sketchy something like that would be, and besides, how horrible were the moral implications of that? Some old bastard like himself purchasing a young girl like a farm animal.
It wasn't completely unheard of. Plenty colleagues of his had foreign brides ordered for them. Even his own cousins had done similar things. Hell, he wasn't far off from trying it out to get the perfect quirk marriage before he found Rei.
But now? It sounded cruel. Unnecessary. He already resented himself for how he treated his family— he didn't need to ruin the life of some other woman too.
"I am not going to order a wife," he said, voice strained, "like a spare part off of eBay. Do you not see how horrible that would look on me?"
Keigo waved his hand dismissively, unbothered. “It’s not like that. These women are looking for a chance at a better life," he explained before teasingly adding, "just like the lonely men who send for them."
Enji stared at him, trying to decipher if he was serious. “You really think I'm desperate enough to buy some random woman?"
"Don't think of it like 'buying.' Think of it as rescuing. How will the press feel about that, hm? Imagine the headline: ‘Endeavor, the hero with a heart, saves a foreign damsel in distress by bringing her to Japan to live a new life of riches and mind-blowing sex!'"
"You disgust sometimes, you little brat."
Keigo leaned over the table, teeth flashing briefly as he spoke. "Just think about it, okay? I'll send you some links tonight." He got up and pushed his chair in with his foot. "Besides, I'm tired of being your only friend. These little 'dates' of ours are cutting majorly into my work."
Keigo had compiled a ridiculously long list of websites and companies that specialized in international marriage deals. He had definitely committed to the bit too much or he had researched this topic heavily before presenting it to Enji via text.
Either way, Enji peered at his cell phone screen in distaste. Link after link, scrolling through the masterlist Hawks compiled, he just felt more unsure of the idea. The names of the sites left a strange feeling in his gut.
GoldenBride, Rose Brides, Latidate. For fuck's sake, UkraineBride4You dot com? "Legitimate & Cheapest Mail Order Bride Sites! Click here for more!"
He clicked his phone off. The light from the vibrant ads and taglines disappeared from his face as quickly as they appeared, leaving him in the dark of his bedroom. He didn't speak, he just stayed in his bed, leaning on the headboard in silence.
He had gotten used to his house being quiet. It was never especially loud, but at least when the kids still lived at home, he could hear the sounds of life. Of Shoto's feet padding through the halls. The sound of Fuyumi's books opening and closing. Natsuo's grumbling under his breath. Proof that he had gotten them all this far— that he had done something right for them.
No. He couldn't stay this way, living in the dark silence, figuratively and literally. He turned his phone back on and clicked the highlighted link with the least concerning name.
Well, you were just the perfect little thing, weren't you? Young, pretty, doe-eyed, and sweet. After perusing a website that looked less criminal than he thought it would, Enji decided on you. He had to have you.
You stood out immediately from the pages of other women. All of them were, of course, gorgeous. They would not be advertised if they weren't. You, though. There was something about you. You were small—Enji liked that—but not frail. Built for carrying children was what you were, he decided, with your soft curves and buxom build.
Your profile did not give much away. Basic information and a little greeting. It intrigued him enough, so clearly it worked.
The two of you chatted for a few weeks, if you could call it that. There was little getting to know each other and more plane tickets being purchased and pick up times being arranged. To say that you had him hooked was an understatement, especially considering the only tools you had to connect with him were shitty translations of your language to his from Google and emojis.
Everything about you read as gentle. Docile. Probably the only personality Enji was equipped to deal with. He would just die if married to a combative woman. His enemies would love to see him nestled up with a loud, abrasive one with a temper to match his own.
No, you would do quite nicely, with your limited speaking and non-provoking nature. You were the perfect escape, a blank canvas onto which he could project his hopes for a new life onto. He could start a family over again. He could fix his mistakes and move on. Maybe, just maybe, he could forgive himself.
The flood of ideas filled him each time his phone buzzed with your messages, even if they were often short and punctuated by misunderstandings and screwy sentences due to poor translations. He found himself counting the days until your plane would take off to bring you to him, to his home. He had plans for you.
Things moved quickly with your new husband. Just last week your flight landed. Then you were saying "I do," and now he had you bent in positions unimaginable.
He worked fast. His hands were large and rough, but God, they were efficient. Thick fingers rubbed at your clit. A thicker cock prodded at your entrance. You wriggled beneath him a bit, eyes widening at the stretch.
You didn't have the words to tell him you were a virgin, but you didn't have the desire to stop him either.
"Hold still, you," he said, voice gentle in comparison to how rough his strokes were. "You've got to let it adjust."
Even if you could understand his words, the heat burning your ears drowned out any sound completely. Fullness filled you everywhere. Like a missing piece you never knew you didn't have.
"Ah, you still aren't broken in yet for me," he muttered to himself. He watched as your struggles to swallow him into your walls. "Virgin, yeah?"
You mumbled incoherently to yourself, feeling his words cast over your face. More or less, you understood the tone of his words and hummed in agreement, hands playing with your tits absent mindedly.
Pain tinted moans escaped you. Enji felt good, sure, but a warmth of discomfort passed through you with every inch of him. Your mind told you yes, but your body tried to reject him. He was simply too big, and too much.
Not that it would stop him.
He spat on his length to ease the friction. A steady hand stayed over your clit, abusing it to the point of overstimulation. He wanted this to be pleasurable for you, but he had a goal in mind.
The load or two he had pumped into you earlier wasn't enough. He wouldn't dare give up yet, especially not with the adrenaline rush hearing you whine gave him.
Besides, your plane ticket was expensive. He planned on getting paid back in spades.

*this was—apparently—in my queue on my nsfw blog, and i must have scheduled it so far out so that it wasn't taking up room in my drafts, and the day that i scheduled it came to pass and it posted on a locked blog and i didn't even know about it until now hehe
i actually get a little sad, thinking of pro hero touya !! especially in the case of knowing him before it all, when he was still eighteen and scrawny, angst-fueled, acne on his cheeks 🥺
you're the first person he's ever had like this. you're not necessarily dating, because endeavor wouldn't allow such a possibility, such a distraction, but you walk with him after school and occasionally stay for dinner, sometimes come over to study on weekends. rei let you hang around until the early hours of the morning once, lazing on the couch with all her kids, watching movies while enji was on night patrol.
there isn't much time the two of you have to yourselves, outside of school and touya's siblings, so the relationship is platonic for the most part (save for the few brave late night texts that have been exchanged, the handful of goodbye kisses you've managed to sneak on his doorstep). the furthest it ever goes is on the couch upstairs, one weeknight when his dad is gone and everyone else is meant to be asleep.
it's hard, being that age and having to settle for hands held under the table, fleeting looks across the room when the tv goes dark. it freaks him out, too, wanting something—you, in more ways than one—when he knows his main focus should be graduation, his reputation, training. his future.
but you're so—comforting, and you couldn't care less about who his dad is or who touya is supposed to be one day; you're here, always, for who he is now. for his home-pierced lip and chipping nail polish and red, embarrassed cheeks. for just touya.
and so he really goes for it in the moment he can, manages to unbutton your shirt enough to slip his hand inside it. and he's never touched someone like this before, so even though you're shy about your simple, plain bra—he really isn't paying attention to that, just the tender weight of your breast in his hand. how soft and squishy it is.
by now, you've managed to figure out the kissing thing: it had been a bit awkward before—when to move his head, where to fit his nose—and it all had to be done quick, in case anyone was coming around the corner, and he really should still be worried about that, but his head is only full of you, you, you.
especially when you unzip his slacks enough to fit your hand, his whole body stiffening when your fingers brush the material of his boxers, touching him in a way he's only done to himself. it doesn't go too far—though touya is more than preparing himself to lose his virginity on this couch—but there's such severity to the want flowing through his veins, an intensity he'd never felt before then.
of course natsuo ruins it, by shouting at the top of his lungs that touya's got his pants down, even though he totally doesn't, and—
maybe that's all he gets from you, before his future finally comes for him.
gradation and becoming a side-kick, joining endeavor's agency, adjusting to the new hero life; it becomes a lot for him, and now that enji has the chance to be more heavily involved in touya's every step—he loses you along the way. gets swept up in the tide of fame and glory and all that his dad has ever wanted for him.
but i think—no matter how many people he sleeps with, how many people come in and out of his bed as the years pass, he'll never forget how he felt on that couch during that late night. how special you felt to him. how special he felt to you.
#he goes through a huge playboy phase as soon as he debuts#and it's easy bc he's endeavor's son and everyone wants a piece of him !!#and he goes through person after person#searching for the feeling he had with you—only to never find it#SAD#✿ thoughts: dabi/touya#✿ theme: pro hero touya

New Baby Pt. 2 | Yandere!Todoroki Family x Reader
Quiet sobs could be heard from behind the door of the room you now slept in.
Enji had thought you'd be more understanding and compliant if you received a letter and 'paperwork' showing that your parents had given the Todoroki's legal guardianship over you.
However, to his shock, that only seemed to upset you more.
You asked him to leave the room in such a thin, sullen voice that he couldn't help but oblige.
Now he, and the rest of the family, were sitting at the dinner table watching their food go cold.
Your seat was still empty.
All eyes were on Enji, wondering what the next move was.
"I'll... I'll get (Y/N) out of her room by lunchtime," He said. "Even if she's still upset."
Rei nodded, shifting her attention to her kids, "And make sure that everyone is extra nice today. (Y/N) has obviously felt some big feelings and I don't want her to get too overwhelmed like yesterday. Understood?"
Three nods and Rei smiled back in answer, "Good."
When it was time for lunch, just like Enji had said, he got you out of your room.
Everyone's hearts crumbled at the sight of you. Your eyes were puffy underneath and red. It was obvious all you did today was cry your heart out.
At the table, you were seated between Enji and Rei.
You could feel everyone staring at you while you tried to eat.
When you couldn’t take the staring anymore, you put your utensils down, unable to make eye contact as you asked, “How long will I be staying here?”
“There’s no telling.” Enji answered firmly, “If your parents can get back on their feet, they will come back and get you.”
You shuffled in your seat slightly. “How long will that take?”
“Let’s not discuss this over dinner, sweetheart.” Reid’s voice cut in.
There was no need for you to keep thinking about your old parents anyway. It made you too upset. She’d be a much better mommy anyhow. You’d see soon enough and would forget all about your other mom.
After dinner, Fuyumi took you to the shower room.
“Here, you get the use the shower before the dirty boys do.” She smiled kindly.
She made sure you had the proper necessities and even let you pick out whatever body wash you wanted from her personal collection.
You liked how kind she was. It was nothing like Enji, who was always towering over you and bleeding with intimidation.
“Just shout if you need something.” She told you and left you alone.
A nice wash and soak was a good start to bettering your mood. Maybe you could ask Enji or Rei if you could call your parents tomorrow to get a better idea of the situation.
It wasn’t like them to just leave a letter.
Wrapped in a towel, you strolled back to your room to find Rei sitting on your bed.
Beside her was a pair of expensive-looking silk pajamas.
She smiled at you despite the uncomfortable look on your face, “I hope you don’t mind that I picked out some pajamas for you. We bought these for you last minute.” She explained coolly.
She stood up, “We can go shopping this week to get you your own clothes, how does that sound, (Y/N)?” She tilted her head at you, waiting for an answer.
You clutched the towel closer to your body, “What about my old clothes?”
She chuckled at you, as if you’d said something silly.
“You don’t need to worry about that. New clothes never hurt anybody.”
You supposed that was true. It would probably be nice to get out.
You walked over to the pajamas and then looked over at Rei. Why hadn’t she left yet?
She didn’t seem to be taking the hint and threw you a concerned glance, “What’s wrong? Do you need my help?”
You immediately shook your head, “No!” You yelped. “I-I need privacy, please… Mrs. Todoroki.”
“Oh! Of course you do!” How could Rei have forgotten? You were a big girl. Of course you could dress yourself.
She left the room, standing right outside in case you needed help at any point.
Once you had your pajamas on, you had to admit that they felt quite nice. The silk was soft and smooth. It was comfortably cool against your skin as well.
At some point as you finished getting ready for bed, you gasped sharply when you banged your hand against the counter of the vanity in your room.
Rei burst into the room.
"Did you hurt yourself?!" Rei asked, panic clear in her voice. She reached out for your hand and you yanked it back, "Let mama see, (Y/N)," She told you sternly.
You flinched at the word.
Mama.
You looked at her as if she'd grown another head and frowned deeply, "You... You're not my mom, Mrs. Todoroki."
Rei looked so upset at that declaration that you would've thought you'd shot her.
You could see that she was incredibly hurt by what you'd said but she masked it with a smile, chuckling to herself, "Right, of course I'm not... Force of habit."
After an awkward goodnight, she left your room disheartened.
Enji was waiting for her in their shared room, arms crossed with a frown. “What the hell is wrong with you, woman?!”
Rei flinched back, “I jus-“
“You’re moving too fast, is what you’re doing! Stop forcing yourself on her! Do you want her to hate you?”
“No, Enji, I don’t.”
“Then slow down. I had to pay a good amount to get guardianship of (Y/N). We can’t mess this up because you can’t control yourself.”
Rei kept her head down, “I’m sorry. You’re right. I’ll apologize to (Y/N) tomorrow.”
Enji huffed approvingly, laying down in his bed and turning over.
This wasn’t going to be easy for either one of you.

I honestly hate that Dabi’s abuse has to be debated. Like, it’s pretty clear as day that he was neglected by Enji.
The sheer fact that Touya was literally harming himself to be even noticed by his father should’ve been a massive red flag!
“Oh but Enji did the best he could-“ No, he didn’t? Enji could’ve at least put Touya through some mental health care or you know, STOP LIVING THROUGH HIS FUCKING KIDS!
Also, another thing that grosses me out about the MHA fandom is how people “joke” about how Rei only stayed was because Endeavor had a big sholng and that’s just pretty disgusting in of itself
Hi @palesweetscherryblossom 👋
Absolutely I hate the fact that what the todoroki family all went through has to be debated if it's abuse or not. I have seen people say that shoto was never abused and that enji done nothing wrong by training shoto to the point he puked his guts out at the age of 5 or that enji wasn't in the wrong for purposefully neglecting touya and inserting very harmful ideologies in his head. No enji may have not of abused touya physically but he definitely did abuse touya by neglecting him (neglect is a form of abuse!!!!)
It's still surprising that people can't pick up on the fact that enji very much did neglect touya and shoved the hero ideology down touya's throat (Iam aware that touya's backstory came from enjis pov probably to make enji look better but even with that there are clear signs of neglect)
Chapter 301 to 302 literally had touya say multiple times that it was enji who "lit this fire beneath him to beat all might and become a great hero". The blame is on enji and should be put on him for trying to use a child to live his own foolish dream while also filling the child's mind with harmful ideologies and ideas (I know full well that the whole girl comment that touya made towards fuyumi was directly influenced from enjis thinking and what enji probably told touya when he would ask whenever fuyumi wouldn't train with them)
The thing that some people can't seem to fully grasp is that touya was approximately 7 when all of his training stopped and he was abandoned by enji. Touya had a good 3 years spent being around enji almost 24/7 learning from him and being built to be this powerful masterpiece that is his father's favourite and all of that got taken from him because his body couldn't handle it. Now for a child at that age it would be difficult to understand why his father doesn't talk or love him anymore because I bet full well that touya probably connected enji training him = father son bonding time and as a sign that enji loves and cares for him the most. This is the reason why touya continues to train and harm himself so he can get enji's attention. In the end it was more about enji's love and attention than it was about becoming a hero. For touya becoming a hero was the key to his father's love and attention and that key was robbed from him because his body wasn't compatible with his quirk.
You have Rei literally calling out enji's neglect and behaviour saying that touya is only doing this because he wants his father's attention but enji replies saying that the only attention he can give is showing the path of a hero which is something that touya cant do. This literally goes to prove touya's own thinking as right. The only way touya can get his father's attention and love is by being the best machine to let his father's dream live through him. Touya needed to be the perfect puppet so his father could love him.
Then there's the fact that touya was Ultimately around 8 or so when he found out about the himura family and their secrets and why his mother is having children. All of that is too complex for a child and honestly traumatising to learn about but touya knew it from an incredibly young age. @thr0wnawayy 's post goes into more detail about touya learning what Rei had to go through and his whole family situation.
Enji should of helped touya understand it's not his fault, he should of loved his children equally and should of definitely given him therapy (the guy is rich there's no excuse for him not to take his child to a therapist)
Oh and don't even get me started on the fandoms messed up jokes when it comes to enji and Rei. It's like they don't even read the manga and realise that Rei didn't have a choice in any of this. She didn't stay because she liked it or because she wanted to, the poor women didn't have a choice at all.

What do you think about the villains' endings?
I'll get into that as I get to the arcs where the League has more focus in my reread...but in general...
Shigaraki: 2/10. I'm less upset about him dying as much as the lack of chemistry between Izuku and Shigaraki in their final fight. Shigaraki doesn't get enough time to get any closure against All for One the way Yoichi does despite being put in similar positions. I also don't like that the most important part of Shigaraki and Shimura Nana's resolution, one of the few highlights of this plotline, happens offscreen.
Magne, Mr Compress: 3/10. I don't think they were well handled, but they don't get enough focus for me to care much either.
Spinner: 4/10. Unfortunately, he spent the arc where he could have been most interesting with his brain completely fried. He brings a lot of interesting ideas to the table, but overall he is mostly missed potential. To some extent, that may be intentional. In the last moments we see him, all he can think of are all of the what ifs.
Touya: 6/10. In the end, Touya gets most of what he wanted. The Hero Endeavor is dead with a reputation destroyed beyond repair. He gets Todoroki Enji's undivided attention for the rest of his days. The points are lowered because too much of that plotline is spent on Endeavor's constant whining and Rei and Shouto didn't get enough focus.
Toga: 8/10. Toga chose her own fate dying for someone she loved using a method she learned from the love she received from the League. Her story leads to the genuine reform she wants - a world where it's easier to live. I don't like that this self-sacrifice was never acknowledged by their society.
All for One: 9/10 for Vestige All for One and 1.5/10 for Original Body All for One. I didn't like All for One just becoming a baby to become unborn without any back up plan, and I didn't like that Bakugou got to be the one to kill him. It gets 1.5 points because it was funny. As for Vestige All for One, his last scenes with Yoichi and the One for All users really hit. I don't think there was enough of a resolution between himself and Shigaraki though. Also, I was a little disappointed in the lack of DFO...
Twice: 10/10. Thematically, it makes sense how and why his death happened. The manga did a good job making readers care about him before sticking the knife in. His death sets up a large part of the manga's conflict in the Third Act.

Shouto took in the apartment where she lived as the woman silently prepared tea in the kitchen. It was a decent apartment, nonetheless. There was no tarnished paint or specks of dust in sight. Everything was well kept, and the place smelled so good that you would think you were in a 5-star hotel. What caught his eye was his brother's picture frame on this one table at the corner by the couch. It was Touya sitting on a bench at the park while sipping his iced coffee. If one would look closely, there were still dark specks at his brother's hair roots. It was like he had his hair freshly dyed in white.
"I hope green tea is to your liking," she mumbled, settling the tray on the table as she noticed Shouto's line of attention.
Shouto quickly turned to her and bowed slightly. "I don't mind," he replied as Kaori sat on the couch beside him.
"Umm..." She picked up her cup to warm herself, remembering how she secretly took that picture of Touya even if she had no idea if he was fond of having pictures taken of him or not. "I had no other pictures of Touya in my phone, so that was the first thing I took. I think he looks so good there."
Shouto took a sip of his tea. "Oh."
Silence. What should she do? It has been a while since she last heard of an update from Touya. The last night they were together was bliss. Kaori could even compare it to the feeling of finally reaching heaven because, for the first time, Touya opened himself up to her. He told her who he really was. Todoroki Touya, the oldest son of Todoroki Enji (CEO of Endeavor Corp.) and Todoroki Rei (one of the most famous models in Japan). He ran away at the age of 19 and fend for himself, doing odd jobs until he met her and she took him in without question. Touya told her meeting her was the best thing that happened ever since he left home, that she was his miracle of some sort in his own hell.
He just didn't tell her personally that he had to leave for her sake. She understood why he couldn't. If he did, it would make it harder for him to leave. He had seen her cry many times before, but that time was different, and leaving the person he loved the most would hurt him. Of course, she hurt too. Her world was suddenly put to a halt, not knowing how to start a life without Touya being physically there, and only the letter he left for her was her reminder that he would still come back. Nonetheless, it was still hard; not to mention the fact that she found out later that she was 3 weeks pregnant with his child.
So when his youngest brother came to personally deliver his letter, it came to her as a relief—that Touya was serious about wanting to be together with her; that he was still working on himself so he could be the man she deserved. But, this doesn't mean she was not having second thoughts, especially now that there was a human living inside her body.
"How is he?" she asked nervously.
"Touya-nii is doing fine. I don't know about anything else but he's doing his best to combat his addiction," Shouto replied truthfully. "He only started writing to us after his 4-month stay there, and he didn't write too much after, so that's what we only know."
She imagined Touya probably lashing out on his own as he battled within himself to fight his alcohol and cigarette dependency, but she also believed he would manage out there. After all, he said in his first letter that he would do everything just to be with her again, and if his words were true, he would make sure of it.
"How far along?" This time, it was Shouto's turn to ask. Honestly, it was shocking for him to find out about her pregnancy, and he kind of worried about her since all his eldest brother knew was, she was handling herself all alone. It's not a good thing considering she's carrying his nephew inside her.
"6... turning 7," she answered meekly, trying not to break down or her negative feelings might affect her child.
"Does he know?"
Her awkward silence already gave it away for him, though. So Touya-nii doesn't know. And when she mentioned the number of months, Shouto had to do a quick calculation in his head before he deduced when it all started.
The day before he returned? Or maybe a few days before he returned? Shouto gave a brief glance at her who worriedly placed a hand on her belly and sighed. It would be bad for her to see Touya-nii since she's pregnant. The additional stress from the treatment center will be too much.
"Do you want to tell him?"
She nodded, but she was still hesitant about it as she fiddled with her skirt and mustered the courage to speak what was in her mind.
"Can you please not tell Touya about this?" she requested. "I know this is important for him too, but you see... I..." This was embarrassing; she should be ashamed. "This pregnancy... I... it shouldn't happen in the first place. It's my mistake."
Shoto's mind went blank as a rush of painful memories flooded in, triggered by her words. It was a stark reminder of the hardships he and his siblings endured during their childhood.
The pregnancy... it shouldn't happen... The pregnancy... is a mistake?
Upon seeing his crest-fallen face, she immediately tried to clear things up, aware of Touya's painful childhood with his siblings. "I didn't mean it like that, S-Shouto-kun! It's just that... I wasn't supposed to be... pregnant. Y-Yeah, that was it."
Shouto was relieved, and to think he thought she might still be considering abortion.
"Touya deserves to know his son with me," she started, "but the thing is... I forgot my pill intake, hence my pregnancy. I-I know it's my fault for being stupid, and I just don't want to push the responsibility on him."
Shouto took in her words, carefully analyzing them. Well, it's a good thing it wasn't as grave as their parents' situation before. But still, this was a delicate situation.
"Understood. I won't tell him anything."
"T-Thank you."
Then he added, "Just so you know..."
"Hm?"
"I don't think Touya-nii would think of it as a mistake."
She was confused. "Oh... okay."
"If it's any consolation, you did it together."
She wanted to cry at his words. Of course, he was a Todoroki. This shouldn't surprise her if Shouto had the same foul mouth as Touya, even though the youngest Todoroki only meant to comfort her.
"And... can I have a request?"
"Yes?"
"Can I take a picture of you? Just a proof to Touya-nii that I went here."
"But..."
"Only your face will do."
In a few seconds, she composed herself as Shouto readied his phone camera.
"Smile."
Snap.
------
Touya scrutinized the picture in his hand, eyes narrowing into slits and one could see the slight distaste as Shouto only sat in front of him like he did nothing wrong. Well, it was a good picture of her with a soft smile on her face, but the thing is, the picture kind of felt forced. Well, it was a given since Touya hadn't formally introduced her to his family.
But still...
"I don't think it's blurred though," Shouto pointed out seriously.
"What do you think of me? Blind?" Touya retorted in annoyance. "But why is she looking like she's posing for an ID?"
Shouto tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean?"
Touya waved off in negation, not wanting to elaborate on the topic. "Did she say anything?"
"Like what?"
Touya got a bit flustered, looking away from his brother to hide the blush creeping on his face. "Like... you know..."
Shouto was only dumbfounded. "What the fuck are you talking about?"
Touya grumbled. So much for relying on his youngest brother when he doesn't understand basic things in life. "Never mind. Just wanna know if she was doing okay."
"She's..." She's pregnant; almost 7 months in. "She's doing okay. She had only been eating snacks and fruits when I met her."
Touya couldn't hide his surprise as he made this unexpected discovery, which immediately caught his attention and made Shouto more alert and aware.
"Is something wrong, Touya-nii?"
"She... doesn't eat anything aside from soup."
Touya could remember her eating routine and it was so hellish she might even survive by just living off water. She had been a tad insecure when she first learned about her ex cheating on her, so she decided to lose weight and fit his standards. But she knew she wouldn't be able to, so she was left with a hidden eating disorder, making her reject all kinds of food given to her, except for soup. Anything filled with broth was the only way she would eat food.
He found this trait later on when he decided to order pizza for them, only for her not even to finish a slice and puke it all out in disgust, crying to him that she couldn't eat as much as she did before. To this day, cursing and ruining her ex's life (even when he was out of the picture) had become his golden dream that he swore if he ever saw him again, he'd have him begging for his life.
"Is that... bad?" Shouto pondered. "I mean, soup is good."
"So... what was she eating?" Touya quickly reverted the topic to the food.
"She drank green tea and ate 2 whole oranges. Then she snacked on pumpkin seeds."
Touya smiled fondly at that. "That's a relief then."
------
Touya had almost reached the 8-month mark in the treatment center when he decided that the best way to shut himself off from the rest of the world was in the library, reading through the random books he could find. Most of them were self-help books and a few Christian ones for those who prefer reading the bible. But honestly, Touya got so bored of them that he opted for that mini section with science and math, solving the equations in every subject exercise like he did whenever he skipped classes.
Being one of the top performers back then made his name so prominent that students were either amazed or intimated by him, whispers following him around along with the name of his parents. Well, what could he expect? His father was one of the richest guys in Japan, and his mom was one of the most famous models of her generation. Gossip and media would really follow him and his siblings around like a damn plague.
As he was busy with his own time, the door suddenly slid open and a boy entered looking scared, only to sigh in relief and mumble, "It's a man." Judging from the bruises and the way he was covering his skin with his long sleeves, Touya already had an idea, and it reminded him of the old days. As such, he stood up, taking the book with him and exiting the library.
The boy felt a bit ashamed by this, but before he could go out the door, he grabbed a random adult coloring book and a set of colored pencils to cure his boredom and finally left the place.
------
Touya was in his room, eating his cigarette candies as he was busy coloring the pages of the adult coloring book, shading the random pictures as he recalled in his head all the jobs he had taken and how they all affected him in some way. To be honest, it opened a whole new world for him, making him see much more painful things in life than the things his father did to him.
He got his first job from a senpai from his school, diligently working in a convenience store as their cashier. So far, it was a tame job and he could pay off his rent and get to eat 3 meals a day. It wasn't enough for him to buy him his alcohol and cigarettes though. After all, he wasn't the same rich kid he was before, so money had been an issue for him as a high school dropout. So at night, he would take a part-time job at the nearest warehouse, checking inventory of every item to be delivered and helping out in carrying boxes to trucks. When his day job wasn't paying well, he shifted to a logistics company where he was assigned as a staff member to deliver items via motorcycle. He was secretly glad he learned how to ride bikes by constantly being in the arcade with a few "friends" from school (Who was he kidding, though? They weren't friends. They were pawns he used to keep up the good son facade.)
When he got tired of doing two jobs at once, that's when a random guy from work told him there was an opening for an assistant bartender job at a certain host bar at the Red District, something along the lines of: "You won't be a host there. You'll just be trained to mix drinks and serve them to the guests, that's all." Touya was skeptical about it at first, but he badly needed the money, and he was craving for some rest in between so he took a shot. Truth be told, he was just really trained to assist the bartender in making the drinks.
It was only that until there was an opportunity.
------
"Do you think sex is fun?" Touya suddenly asked his therapist, who seemingly paused from taking notes on his file.
"Come again?" The therapist heard what he said. He just had to make sure he heard it right before answering.
Touya sighed. "I said, do you think sex is fun?"
The therapist put down his file on his desk, clearing his throat to feign his embarrassment. It was unusual for Touya to ask questions so might as well provide an appropriate answer for that.
"It depends on the experience and with whom I did it with," he supplied. "If both people are communicating with each other properly and making sure each other's needs are met, then I think it would be a fun experience."
Touya stared blankly, probably seeing through his answer and thinking if it was right or wrong. Maybe he wanted an honest answer. He didn't know since the eldest Todoroki son was not giving hints on what was going on in his mind.
"I didn't think of sex as fun though," he revealed.
"And why is that?"
Touya shrugged nonchalantly. "Sex for me is a chore."
"Does this have something to do with your job at the host club?"
"Partly." A pause. "I don't know."
"So why is sex for you a chore?"
Silence. Touya was collecting his thoughts, and he thinks maybe he was the weird fucker who doesn't think of sex being equal to satisfaction or pleasure. Well, not until with her, of course. But for him, in general, it was a chore.
"I actually worked as an assistant bartender in a host club, and customers thought I was part of the club's gig where the host acts as a bartender," he started his story, the awful memories coming back into pieces was enough to leave a foul taste at the tip of his tongue. "The owner thought it would be nice if I could be a host during Mondays and Fridays—on a condition that a customer cannot choose which host she wanted for the night."
"So you're like the secret host of the club in case they cannot choose who they wanna be with," the therapist deduced.
"Yes."
"So how did sex becoming a chore for you is related to this?"
And then, Touya opened Pandora's box and the darkness he held inside him.

PUPPY BOY! AU HEADCANONS PART.2
Part 1
Tagging the babes: @shonen-brainrot @dabislittlemouse @angelshimaa and @shionancientsblog
Remember I'm still working on this AU so feedback is appreciated
Deku + Maltipoo
• Maltipoo is a hybrid breed resulting from the mix of a Maltese and a Poodle. And who was born quirkless but got a Quirk transferred? Deku! Which to some extent makes him a hybrid too. Both are highly intelligent and friendly breeds, which suits Izuku very well!
• Izuku radiates Crusty white dog energy, there's no way to deny it, and this breed is part of that group. He has a sweet, caring and friendly personality, but he is also VERY emotional. Cries a lot, he can't help it. Maltipoos also have very fluffy fur, which matches Izuku's green hair.
• This puppy boy was practically protected and pampered by his mom; Inko always brushed his fur after baths! However, just like any other Maltipoo, Izuku adapts easily to any environment and challenge. He also has quite the intelligence and memory, making him the perfect puppy boy for almost any task. Appropriate, considering Izuku is progressively learning to control all his powers and molding himself to the needs of his missions.
• Did I mention Maltipoo puppies befriend practically anyone? *ehem* Just like Izuku befriended [insert list of pretty much any student at U. A]
• Oh, you want to put a doggie collar around his neck? Go ahead! Even when the skin of his cheeks and ears get all red with embarrassment, he loves it. Push a little further, and you'll even be able to hear him whine for attention.
• Needy, so, so needy. Pet his ears and he'll be melting! Play with his hair and he'll fall asleep on your lap.
“Are we gonna hang out today?” Izuku asked, tail wagging effusively at the promise of an evening by your side. You smiled apologetically, excusing yourself. “Sorry, Izu, today I have some work left to do. Maybe another day?”
The puppy in front of you pouted, begging with a pleading face. “Please, please, please! I- I brought my favorite All Might DVD,” Izuku said, his hands gently tugging your shirt. Sighing, you gave up; how were you supposed to win against someone that could quite literally pull puppy eyes on you? “Maybe we can binge-watch it while I work.”
Izuku's lips stretched in content, yapping a sweet “Thank you!” as he walked by your side. “We can lay on the couch, and I'll make sure to recap everything you missed while you weren't paying attention!”
Todoroki + Siberian husky
• I had some trouble deciding which of these breeds fitted Shoto more. On one hand, he could be a Doberman like Dabi, after all, they come from the same dad (like it or not). Enji would've cut his ears and tail too to make him more imposing, and dominant-looking (trying to mold him to his image), leading to Rei burning his face and, well, Todoroki trauma. On the other hand, Siberian huskies already have plenty of traits in common with Shoto.
• Siberian huskies have a stern and serious aura around them, specially at first glance. Their deep gaze and icy blue/light gray eyes manage to allure anyone, not to mention is one of the breeds that has more common cases of heterochromia. We all know how Shoto debuted as a “I'm not here to make friends” character but, in the end– just like this breed –Shoto proves to be friendly and silly with the right people.
• He has very soft big furry ears, and a fluffy tail curled upwards; the fur is white and brown/reddish and matches his hair almost too perfectly. Shoto also has massive canines that he tends to bare when he is truly pissed off or stressed.
• Like many huskies, he is smart and has a lot of stamina. You need to keep this particular puppy mentally/physically stimulated by either showing him new tricks (e.g. Simple science experiments or DIY tutorials) or burning that energy (e.g. Teach him how to play Just dance!)
• Sheds, a lot. Help him brush his fur because otherwise you'll be dealing with random dog hairs in your room. Oh, he also has trouble communicating in general! Which is funny considering how Huskies don't bark like normal dogs, they kind of howl and cry.
• Shoto is a very odd puppy, but a great listener if you ever need to talk.
“And you're supposed to put your left hand on a red circle. Like this!” You said, bending and twisting into a rather uncomfortable position over the Twister mat. Shoto had been aching to play with you for a while, begging - in his odd way (which was standing in front of your bed until you noticed him) — to learn. “I see, so the cardboard thing dictates which limb you move and where you put it.” He said, kneeling to your level as you plopped on the mat.
“Yes, exactly! The last one standing is the winner,” Shoto heard you add, nodding at tour words with seriousness. “Just make sure to keep your tail tucked, we don't want another sneezing accident…"
Shoto unconsciously whined, dropping his ears like a scolded puppy. “Sorry, I didn't mean to make everyone fall with my fur.” The first time he had tried to play, his tail and ears tickled everyone's nose, making the complex knot everyone was tangled in collapse. “It's OK, Sho, it happens.” You smiled sympathetically.
Shigaraki + Rottweiler
• It was suggested that Shiggy could be a Corgi by the lovely @shionancientsblog , and while it would be a cute idea (specially when he had one as a kid), I think Shigaraki's evolution as a person makes him fall under the category of a “problematic breed”. Rotties are great family dogs in the right environment, they are friendly, caring, and playful; sadly, we all know this puppy boy didn't have a good family. Shiggy was neglected and abused as a baby, and he eventually bit the hand that was supposed to take care of him! So, like many dogs when they bite, he was cast away and tagged as a danger. A kind puppy turned into a crazed dog by the hand of the wrong handlers.
• He has short floppy ears with black fur, matching his original hair color. The tail is black as well, but it was cut by his father to “avoid accidents”. Shiggy's fur, however, changed in color the same way his hair did.
• Wears a spiked collar, a gift granted by A.F.O to avoid using his quirk on the skin of his neck. He doesn't like it, but knows it's for the best.
• Rottweilers are also known for acting on impulse and being childish (borderline being messy or confused as aggressive) when they have no guidance. Shiggy had the same behavior when he first started his villain life, but with the right training, he learned to focus his energy on a specific target. Trained to bite on command.
• When he gets involved with you, however, you slowly but surely start filling that emotional void he had. It took a lot of trial and error, specially when he growled at you with those large canines of his, but patience turned out to be enough to ease him.
• Much like Dabi, Shiggy grants you scary dog privileges, but he is less controlled about it and will target anyone who may be “trying to take away his owner”. He won't call you owner, by the way, but in his heart you are part of the very reduced group he likes and follows.
“I don't like the way he is looking at you!” Shigaraki growled, unconsciously trying to hide you from Dabi's gaze. The latter had been sending you cocky smirks here and there, pissing Shiggy off. “Calm down, he isn't doing anything,” you assured him, allowing your hand to pat his head. The frown on Tomura's face softened, but he still didn't like the idea of another person laying eyes on you. “What, you like him better?”
You knew that the child inside him was speaking, so you indulged. “No, Shiggy is my favorite.” Tomura heard you say, feeling the warmth of your lips on his cheek. “W-what was that?!" He yelped, “Are you trying to embarrass me?” You shook your head. “Just making sure you know how much I like you”.

Idk what to tell to the people who still don't get that although is okay to teach kids the rules to live in a society (like respect others or don't kill or whatever), Kotaro Shimura, Enji Todoroki and Toga's parents didn't care as much for society rules as they care for the rules that made them feel okay at home.
Which in the end caused the main villain trio to reject authority and society and turn into violence, since they did try to use words as kids and were royally ignored.
Tenko, Touya and Toga tried very hard to be good kids, but in their parents conception it was not enough 'cause they couldn't repress some of their needs: they wanted their dads and moms to accept them as they were, to accept who they wanted to be, to accept the way they expressed love and accept the way they interacted with their surroundings.
In Tenko's case, Kotaro was unable to accept his kid desire to become a hero. His could be the worst case in bnha, given the violence of his tragedy and how misfortune (maybe even something else) played on it ending so badly. Tomura himself said that house rejected his very identity, even tho Hana tried to support him in secret and Nao stood up for him, little too late. For what we saw of him as a child, his only defect as a son was wanting to be a pro-hero, dream that got him beaten up for, grounded in a rather cruelly manner. Kotaro's trauma turned him into an irrational man, his hatred for heroes was both the build up and the catalysis of the tragedy that ended the lives of the people he loved the most.
Tenko didn't become a villain because he was an evil kid. He became a villain because AFO wanting it so and because Kotaro inculcated in him such extreme hatred.
In Touya's case, it's a bit more complicated. I don't believe Enji's obsession was completely evil in nature, although his actions were truly selfish and it became later abusive, when his desperation blinded him to the point he was unable to understand how bad he has turned out to be. Like in Tenko's case, the mother is at fault only in yhe sense that their lack of intervention allowed the situation to escalate 'til they couldn't prevent it anymore. Touya's case differentiates itself in the fact that he was older than Tenko, his behavior declining over the years into extreme violence, unlike the way Tenko exploded in murder glee when Kotaro hit him one last time.
The lack of proper attention from both Enji and Rei allowed Touya's behavior to become a tragedy. Their negligence, Enji's focus on his work and Shouto (as a project not a son) and Rei's role of a caretaker yet not a mother, combined with the incapacity of Natsuo and Fuyumi to understand what Touya was going through (really, only Shouto could, but at that point Touya hated him too much and Shouto was way too young)... Well, it didn't end well for a kid that didn't want help anymore but attention on his own terms. He was tired of adapting, the same way Tenko rebelled in his insistence of acting the hero way.
The same house rule ( YOU CANNOT BE A HERO ) sent them both to AFO's hands, one way or another. They were kids who couldn't act the way their dads wanted, so fuck them I guess.
That part is compatible to Toga's case. Kinda.
Toga's parents are by far the most twisted of the bunch, which is a lot to say considering that Kotaro hit his kids and Enji even hit his wife. Yet, without having to touch a single hair of their little girl, they inflicted damage so deep she preferred to become a runaway criminal than to stay at home one more day.
At least Kotaro and Enji valued at some level Tenko and Touya's existence. Toga's parents didn't care about her at all. She was as good as a broken doll, an imperfect piece of their furniture, something they wish wasn't related to them at all. Enji was at least worry about his son and he loved him at some degree, the same way Kotaro worry over Tenko was born out of his fear of losing his family. Nothing of it excuses what they do and let it be said that Enji and Kotaro did saw Touya and Tenko as monsters at some point (when Touya tried to kill Shouto and on his Dabi era, when Tenko killed his family and turned to Kotaro). Yet it doesn't compare to the way Toga's parents immediately erased her from their lives, even denying any affiliation. They sent her to that therapy like a car needing to be repaired. She was a sign of status, she was an object that they failed to produce, she was an aberration and a freak, she deserved to be put down.
From the three od them, Toga was the one who struggled the most to fit in socially, not to society standards tho. To her parents.
If all these parents had cared for their kids more than they cared for his own stupid rules maybe things would have been different. But that's the core of their problems, they don't need the whole world to accept them, they need to treat the internalized traumas their parents left them with, the self-hatred and the feeling of inadequacy and the need for acceptance (of themselves) and recognition.
That's why Toga, Izuku and Shouto are the key for their recovery. Acting as mirrors, they are meant to provide the closure the villain trio desperately need. It's not just a sibling or a nemesis bond, but a recognition of the self through the other situation.
If they can accept themselves and correct their ways and get free from their parents absurd rules, if they can move past the child need for their parents validation, maybe they can finally exist in a less painful way.

Thoughts on MHA/BnHA 426????
Shocked, devastated, still in mourning. I will never be okay again, something in me has been altered, there's a strangling feeling in my throat but all I can do is stare into emptiness.
For real, I read it and was Very Much Not Okay for several days.
More under the spoilers cut. Just remember, you asked.
OKAY SO. I am both absolutely devastated but also very fulfilled with how the Todoroki family saga is wrapping itself up. It think this is one of the strongest aspects of the entire Boku no Hero Academia story, and I am very happy with how daring its conclusion is.
Like so many, I started out hating/not caring about Endeavour at all, but as the story dwelved more deeply into the whole mess that is his family and he as a character started evolving, I grew to care a lot. His character embodies a lot of deep dark fears that I have, like what if you've been wrong all along, and you're actually selfish and horrible and all you do is for nothing yet you hurt everyone you love for it. And then one day your best days are behind you, you're growing old, and all you have is a handful of ashes, because you destroyed everything that mattered in pursuit of nothing at all.
Then again, basically since the season 4 of the anime I've been lowkey worried that Horikoshi would just take a shortcut with the Todoroki family and be like "no worries, dad gave flowers once and shows up once a week from now on, it's all fine, the nuclear family unit will be all good now!"
But that's not how the manga went, and I've been looking forward to this absolute gut punch for a long time. I've actually rooted for pretty much everything this chapter gave us.
Because it's true that there are unforgivable things. Sometimes you can't fix what you've broken, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
I think the story has well and truly driven in that there are consequences to your action and choices, and that this is what parenting is: you give it your all no matter what, and then your kids make their own choices. They owe you nothing, while you owe them everything.
To me it makes sense that Shoto is the closest to Enji: he got the most attention and "care", no matter how misguided and abusive it was. He's also still young enough and has enough in common with his father to actually have room for better things, while he has also built his own separate support network that he actually depends on and that will nurture him to become different and better than where he came from. He leaves while shouting reassurances to his mom and dad, so settling in a very normal and balanced dynamic with them.
It's the older Todoroki siblings who represent different outcomes and underline other points. Toya represents the absolute worst case scenario that might come from an abusive family dynamic: a total rejection, vengeful and violent. Everything went wrong with him, and then he was groomed to become the absolute worst version that he could possibly be. For Toya vs Enji, I wondered if one would kill the other and which would be worse. I theorized that Horikoshi wouldn't make Enji kill Toya and that the most likely end would be that Enji (more or less) lets Toya kill him instead. But I hate the "redemption through death" trope, so I've had an AU idea ready where Toya ends up bed-ridden with his injuries, and Enji and Rei care for him despite how it looks to the public.
Now that Toya is in hospice care, I've gotten that but uhhhh worse, thanks for that Horikoshi-sensei, I'm not okay??? This probably hits so hard because I've been through that, having a family member in hospice care. Yes, it's just a part of life, but that's what makes it hurt so bad. Hurts so much more than any grand battle with hard moral choices could, because this feels so real. From a writing perspective, it's great, but just the thought of a hospice ward is enough to make me want to cry for real. So.
I had my Toya feels way back when the battle happened. It makes me so sad to think that what he really wanted all along was very simple, but just couldn't grab it, and then everything went to hell and it's not even his fault. Another unfulfilled person, very much like his father, whether he likes it or not.
Moving on, for Fuyumi I hope she gets distance and a better relationship with her mom and her brothers on one-on-one basis. She's been that "eldest daughter" who's tried to fix everything on her own, so I'm glad it looks like she's getting a fresh start and isn't fretting over anyone.
I'm especially happy that Natsuo decided to cut ties with Enji. That's been brought up as a possibility in the story before when the Todoroki family was having their weekly dinners, but I honestly didn't think Horikoshi would go through with it: usually in stories like this, if a parent tries to make amends, they succeed and the children forgive them. I think this is really strong writing, that not only the possibility of not being forgiven was brought up, but it's also carried through. Natsuo was neglected and ignored, he has basically no relationship with his father, and he doesn't want to build one. He doesn't care that Enji regrets his action, and he doesn't want to put time and energy into what he sees as only a bad thing in his life. He's an independent adult with a life of his own, and he chooses to walk away and cut ties for good. Good for him, especially since his choice would have been the best case scenario for Toya: live your own life and leave the past behind.
Among the siblings, I love that they come together to accept each other, especially Toya. They don't have much time, not that even all the time in the world was going to fix what's been broken, but they take what little they have and make the most of it. It's not enough and it doesn't make everything okay, but considering the other - and much easier - option would be to just walk away, to cut ties looking good and righteous to the public while doing so, it's the best they can do. They choose to embrace their lost brother until he passes, to accept someone who's essentially a massmurdering terrorist, because to them he's family.
As for Endeavor, his retirement makes me sad. It's like a final nail to the coffin: he wasn't cut out to be a hero and he never achieved what he wanted the most in life. But then again, I do like that in the context of the larger story, it cuts to the point of what true heroics are. It's not about strength, power rankings, image, or flashy costumes. It's about accepting responsibility, doing the right thing especially when it's hard and unpopular, and serving others. His character was early on described as 'a hero who doesn't look like a hero', and him giving up the name and the costume signifies this bigger point of the story, that heroes shouldn't be idols in capes on a pedestal, and that ordinary people shouldn't just expect someone else to come and solve their problems for them. The end point of his character is to accept that doing the heroic thing is thankless, hard work out of the spotlight.
But it's not all bleakness, because there are still people there for him. I really like this sort of a nuanced ending, where some things work out and others don't. It feels very real and thus makes me feel real feelings: it's not all suffering but not all sunshine and roses either. It's just life, difficult and uncertain.
And yes, all my endhawks feels too. A little flicker of light. I do think they are a great match and they met each other at a perfect moment in their lives. They wouldn't have worked out before, but now they have good things to give each other and empty space in their lives to build something new. Interesting that Enji is retiring and Hawks is now quirkless, they will both have to be good people in more conventional ways (and paralleling Midoriya and One For All; fascinating).
'Endhawks' more like endgame, heh.

I have a lot of thought with this new chapter and mostly just todoriks not hawks for now, i make my life easier and go charater to character.
Spoilers 426 of Mha
Fuyumi: I dont have much to say about her more then I wish we got hear more how she feeling now and what how she wanna move forward more then getting a new job. But I be saying her new hair cut is cute.
Natsou: Im happy Horikoshi did not ruin his character by making forgive Endeavor and stick to his words and cut of Endeavor and more forward with his girlfriend. I love that he never shown as bad person for choosing that, its just how he want to move forward to be truly happy.
Enji: I'm glad he reterie from being a hero but i dont like he did not have a choice anyways. It would be more impact full if he could keep going but choice to retire to pay attention to his family and Touya specilfly. I feel sure he got physicaly disable but that not really a concicent from being abusive but more just being a pro hero.
Rei: She got sidelined so bad just so we could focus on Endeavor, she said how many things she wanna say but never got to see it. I know they said touya could only talk for a few minutes per day but god i wish we got to hear her say something. If not with touya self at least how she felt outside ahe have to feel so much seeing her son like that after all those years. Also for some reason i have bittersweet feeling how she got similar haircut now like before she got married and scar on the same side as Shouto. Also hate the fact it look she the care taker of endeavor even if she trying to be a better mother she sjould not need to take care of her abuser no matter what.
Shouto: i don't have much to say about him as his devaloment since most likey see more of again in these last chapter but it went as expacted in a good way. But i be honest i love how we again got to see how his way of showing love with others is thrue food. And he willing to ask about Touyas favorite food to try get closer to him even in the state Touya in.
Touya: Im devistaed over his end. I know he proably would not be completly fine in the end but that he was just slowly dying. It hurt both for him since he deserved to be able to move on to live for himself and sad for Shouto to be fighting so hard just for him to be slowly dying. He was able to reach Touya out of Dabi just for his effort to be for so little compard to his effort. I am happy we got a moment where Touya apoligized to Shouto showing how he got reached and proably regrat what thier realtionship endup like and finally saw his brother as his just little brother and not a masterpeace that took endeavor away from him. I like how both Touya and Shouto got the same favorite food and even in small scales they got paralles. (Loved even as he slowly dying he still got his sass against Enji.)

a/n: wanted to go into depth about pro hero dabi with a small little angsty drabble! we get to see all the family together and how they cope with normal family arguments and not their brother/son literally being a villainous murderer.
Family dinners at the Todoroki household had become something far and few in-between due to the recent success of proheroes Dabi and Shoto. It seemed as though the entire atmosphere changed when the two brothers were missing dinner and instead being shown on the television for the rest of the family to see. There was a motherly pride not only radiating from Rei but Fuyumi as well, watching the men cover their screen. Advertisements, interviews, news segments and entertainment show spots were just some of the things that they would sometimes catch at the right time.
Endeavor, who always knew his sons were bound for great success because of his training, kept mum on their celebrity. Why comment on the inevitable? The only one who didn’t seem to understand was Natsuo. Natsuo tried to live a normal life. He chose college, a normal job, dating on his own terms and at his own time. He didn’t want what could come from being a hero.
The Todoroki family had always been a close knit unit. There was nothing they didn’t know about each other. But when Natsuo could feel the separation widening within this unit, he began to pull away from the brothers. That was until the family were sitting at the table with all sorts of expressions when the pushy Dabi got Natsuo to chirp about his new fling.
“Touya, eat your food. Mom and I worked really hard on it.” fuyumi scolded her brother, resting her wrist on the table with an annoyed appearance dressing her face. She hated when Touya got chatty, it would always lead to someone getting defensive over his brash commentary. She knew Natsuo was his next victim.
“I will but this has a bit more flavor,” Touya propped his hand in the air to exaggerate his statement. Pinching his fingers together, he kissed his fingertips before leaning over the food slightly to intimidate his brother into talking. “Seriously Natsuo? When did this happen?”
Shoto always maintained a neutral stance, but he couldn’t help but realize the pest Touya could be. “When he’s ready, he will tell us.”
“Shoto,” piercing blue eyes snapped to the youngest with agitation, “shut up.”
Natsuo could feel the spotlight on him burning brighter as he was put in the hotseat. The cameras were for the other boys, not him. He wasn’t good with moments like this. “Ah, it’s stupid, maybe she’s a rebound–” he tried, chuckling with his eyes glued to his food.
“It’s not stupid!” Touya's face lit up again before his fists banged against the table, grabbing all of his family’s attention. Even Enji was startled. “My brother gets a new girlfriend and it seems like all of my family knows but me!” The wide grin he had was beginning to shake as he stared at his brother– his supposed best friend. “ I wanna know about her. We’re supposed to be close.”
“How close can anyone really be to the number 2 hero anymore?” Natsuo didn’t mean for it to come off so harsh. He looked apologetic the moment he was finished, spotting a frown on his older brother's face.
“What? I make time. As much as I can.” Touya scoffed, brushing his brother off with his hand waving in the other direction. It was a front, even you, his fiance sitting besides him knew that. There was a very loud silence in the room. No one said anything, even you. It made him flush with embarrassment. “I make time,” his voice went cold and filled with hurt.
“Please don’t start at the table…please.” Rei begged, holding out a hand to reach for her son.
“Where is this coming from?” Touya didn’t stop, looking around the table to realize not a single individual was looking him in the eyes.
“Touya,” his mother tried again.
“Mom–” he snapped, yanking his hand from her touch all while stitching his brows. “So you all wanna be quiet when I’m asking you a question? You all feel like this?”
Rei didn’t want to see dinner ruined after many days of seeing one of her children missing from the table for various reasons. One good meal with her babies and she would be fine. “Touya, we can think of something else to talk about, yeah? This is a discussion you two can have afterwards.”
“No, if this is something you all wanna be tight lipped about, I’m not talking about anything.” He dropped his utensils on the table and dusted his hands on his clothes before looking Natsuo in the eyes. Natsuo stared at him in regret. The eldest stood from his seat to point at his brother. “I’m sorry being number 2 makes your skin burn but I’m not the only brother in the top 10 and I don’t see anyone giving Shoto heat for his success. I’m successful.”
“It’s not about that Touya–”
“Oh piss off Fuyumi, you’re a school teacher. You can come home after your nine to five without a scratch on you and they’d still love you more than the one fighting for their lives,” he barked at his sister, tilting his head down before holding a hand out for you to take. “Come on. We’re going home.”
As you stood up, you whispered a goodbye to the family and sauntered off with him. The table split looks of either disapproval or shock. They knew Dabi was a hot head but one thing they didn’t really understand was how emotionally charged he was. That night was only opening the cover page of his chapter book of feelings and emotions. As the family once again sat in silence, Rei jumped from her seat to chase the both of you down.
“Touya!” Rei trekked through the corridor to spot the both of you prior to you stepping down the stairs. “Touya wait!”
“There’s nothing you can say to make me stay. We’re going home, ma.” he didn’t want to hear it. He knew it would be an excuse to come back inside and finish a plate in silence.
“I’m not here to stop you.” his mother spoke up and out of breath. “I just wanna talk to you,” sending you a gracious glance, her focus shifted back to her son. “Just you.” it was a cue for you to leave, though being engaged to someone like Dabi, you made sure to never be too far away. You found comfort taking a few more steps to pause at the bridge that went over that small pond you adored.
“Natsuo is just a bit sensitive. You aren’t just brothers but you’re his best friend. He feels like he’s losing you to the rest of Japan.” Rei placed her hand on her son’s shoulder.
‘Why doesn’t he treat Shoto with that same shitty logic? I’m not stopping him from becoming a goddamn hero.”
“You watch your mouth,” his mother spat. “And he’s not that close with Shoto. No one is.”
Touya tried to take a step back from his anger and think about his next words. While he was heated, he felt more hurt than anything. “I try to come around,” his voice hushed to avoid anyone other than his mother hearing him be vulnerable. “Do you think I spend too much time away from you guys?” he quizzed. “Mom?”
“I think we have a very complicated family dynamic.” Touya rolled his eyes but looked back to his mother as she continued to speak. “I don’t want you to feel bad about the time you spend away doing what you love or being with who you love. You save people, Touya. I’m proud of you. You could have been doing anything else in the world. With all the things your father has put you through I’m more shocked you stuck to your guns and became a hero. You and Fuyumi try your hardest to keep this family together. Natsuo is scared. We all are.” He tried…he really tried hearing his mother’s side and from the bridge, you could see his face falling.
“Of what? I can take care of myself.” Touya’s brows stitched together as he raised his hands to emphasize the world around him.
“Japan needs Dabi, but we need Touya. I need Touya.” Rei scolded, “you’re my baby and I would never ask you to stretch yourself thin. If you’re trying and your brothers and sister cannot seem to understand it, let yourself be misunderstood. You do what is best for you. I always told you that.” Placing her hand on her son’s chest, she gave him a nod of approval.
He tried to stand strong, but he couldn’t. Dabi took his mothers hand and kissed her knuckles, staring into her steel colored eyes. “I think we’re going to head home.”
“Will you talk to Natsuo before you go?”
“I’ll head back over tomorrow. I promised my fiancé some alone time.” grabbing the back of his mother’s head, he kissed the top of her head. “I love you Ma.” backing away from his mother, he waved her a small goodbye before scraping his shoes along the dirt and holding a hand out for you to take as he stepped up the bridge.

Fuck yeah. Incest.
Heavily into the concept that Rei either knew about Enji fucking Touya and did nothing bc "well he wants his attention so bad" OR she groomed Touya specifically for Enji to fuck bc she got sick of Enji's demands so she turned Touya into Enji's little slut but also discovered "hey, he's kinda good at this, im gonna use him too"
Love love love the idea of her projecting Enji onto Touya but also gotta love the idea of her projecting HERSELF onto Touya. He's just so much like her and it makes her sick sometimes, so when she's struggling with her own self-image she takes it out on Touya.
Def hc he "gave her a lot of grief" growing up bc of how headstrong he was, so she justified neglecting, molesting and beating him as "the only way to deal with him." Found that after fucking his brains out for long enough, he's a sweet docile little boy for her ☺
Love the concept that Enji would fuck Rei in front of Touya to "teach him how to please a man" (later fucked Touya in front of Fuyumi to teach her the same lesson.) The whole mental image of him holding her down/her holding him down for Enji, kissing each other, whispering either words or comfort or degrading insults.
On that note. Touya sneaking around to watch his parents fuck. What if Touya was a little freak about it though and low-key got off on it? What if Rei was a little freak about it too? And would sneak around to watch Enji fuck Touya too?
Ik Rei was hospitalized shortly before Touya "died" so who knows if they were able to see each other before his disappearance but I love those fics where they fuck in the mental hospital
Oh parallel that with some post canon fic where Touya's institutionalized like Rei was and now Rei visits so they can fuck. Hell yeah

how did you wanted the todoroki family plot to end ?
(Incoming large rant about the Todofam plot but mostly Touya's ending and the complete and utter bullshit I think it is.)
Not like this, that's for sure.
There are some aspects that I enjoy. I still believe the todofam plot is the best in the series, and the development of these characters and topics are amazing, but I have a lot of complaints about how it was all handled-- especially in the way of Touya's character.
Touya got such an unfair ending. All the League did, but Touya's is cruel in a way that the others isn't. Sure, it's terrible Shigaraki and Toga died, but the way Touya ends up is this twisted, tragic thing that people seem to think is framed as "Good" but it's not.
Y'see, either Touya's going to die or he was gonna actually be saved. Being confined to a medical tube on life support and only able to talk with anybody for a couple minutes a day while he slowly dies is not saving him. Then the fact that it's framed as a good thing by the fandom because "At least he's not dead" and he's apologetic towards Shouto and now in even more emotional distress is also really... eh. I'll get to that in a bit.
What I don't get is if they were gonna kill off Touya; they should've killed him off during the war like the other two out of the trio. It was quick, (mostly) painless, and they both died at least receiving some empathy and understanding by their hero counterparts. Touya dying then would have been more satisfying than this. Having him die at the end of the fight would've been awful too, but it wouldn't have been much different than him slowly dying now-- by the end of the battle, He got his family's attention (such a small wish,) he got an apology from Enji and from Rei, and learned to see Shouto as a hurt child like he is (that one panel towards the end where Shouto finally stops Dabi from exploding and Touya sees him charging in but imagines him looking as he did as a child.) Touya also got the chance to express himself and express his anger then, too. If they want to kill him off, just doing it then would have made more sense and seemed less cruel and horrible than having his family and medical staff literally force him to stay alive, in some medical contraption, with most of his skin/body gone and completely destroyed, covered in metal and wires and God knows what else and only being able to have human interaction for a few minutes a day (Those few minutes now heavily implied to be being spent with his abuser.)
What has this given us that's different from the war arc? Endeavor apologizing-- We already got that. The family trying to reach out to him-- Already got that. Touya seeing Shouto in a different light-- Already got that too. There's been nothing new brought to the table besides "i'll visit every day and talk to you while you slowly die." and that's... that's not a good thing. that's not saving him. if anything this is all really, really fucking cruel, especially if we assume he dies, because all this was already accomplished and if anything now it's being shoehorned in to further drive the point home (like Enji's stuff being basically the same recycled thing he has been saying), or the situation with Shouto where it's great Touya sees Shouto for more than Enji's masterpiece (he already did by the end of the battle) and feels bad about hurting him (Touya's felt bad about hurting his Mom and siblings since he was a kid), but why make him even more remorseful and suffer even further? touya's the only one of the villains who's even shown remorse, especially out of the main trio, and his entire backstory he spends internalizing his abuse and trauma up until he snaps. Why are we making him feel even worse and be left alone to cry in regret when him being remorseful for Shouto has already been accomplished? Assuming he's actually dying, why make the last few days/weeks/months of his life be this miserable existence when he could've just died back at the war with the other villains?
Assuming he's not going to die, and somehow recovers enough to actually get a bit of time where he's not bound to that medical tube thing, why do it like this either? He's already destroyed himself horribly, and yes he did before and survived but people forget the reason he likely survived the fire when he was a kid was because AFO and Ujiko experimented on him, put him in a medically included coma for three years and did God knows what to him, and even then his body was never the same. He's in horrible condition, so if they were gonna actually save him and let him recover, why not save him before he literally burned himself to bones and tendons? Even by the end of the Shouto vs Dabi fight he was in rough shape and had burned large parts of his skin on his face and body off, but he could've still recovered. By the time he's halfway through fighting Endeavor he's really done a lot of damage to himself because he's so upset, but that could have been prevented if they (narratively) wanted him to live and recover. He could have been saved somewhere between there and not been left in such horrible condition and basically being told he's gonna die anyway, just slower now, and more painful, and in a super dehumanizing way.
it all feels like the narrative is cruelly punishing him worse for some reason, in these awful ironic ways: You want to die? Well, we're gonna force you to live as long as possible. Don't worry, you'll die sometime but you're gonna suffer first. You don't get the easy way out. You want your family's attention? Alright, but it's only gonna be for a few minutes a day because your heart isn't gonna be able to handle it. You want to emotionally heal and connect with your family? Well, that's too bad because you're dying so you won't have the time to ever actually heal, but you can feel bad about it, and be gawked at like a "tourist attraction."
It feels unbelieveably cruel if you stop looking at it with super high (ngl unrealistic) expectations. People claiming this is fine because he's still alive and "Who cares if the doctors say he's gonna die, they're probably wrong." If we take this all literally, Touya is barely alive and unable to actually live, and he's slowly dying and likely doesn't have long. Maybe it's enough time to reconnect with the family some, but he'll never actually know them or be a part of their family unless he somehow makes a full recovery, which they're saying isn't possible. He doesn't have enough time to emotionally heal from all the trauma he's been through, he has years and years of trauma from so many different situations, he doesn't have the time to work through it especially when the conditions they're keeping him in are kinda inhumane. Assuming he's going to die, he's probably not going to physically recover either- so the rest of his short life is going to be either feeling nothing because his body is so badly damaged, or he's in extreme agony because his body underwent extreme trauma and is basically in a constant state of shock. If he's going to die anyway, keeping him alive in this state is unlikely going to actually do anything for him.
And again, I'd love to be hopeful and assume he's gonna somehow live and prove them wrong again-- but it's implied the only reason he lived as long as he did before was spite, hatred, and his inability to let go. All of that spite and hatred is burning out of him now. Even if he does survive somehow, sure it gives him more time to actually recover and heal, assuming they won't just throw him in Tartarus (they probably will), then it just makes the whole condition he's in now seem unnecessarily cruel and unneeded. I really don't think he's actually going to survive and make a full recovery though. I think if that was the case that would have been stated instead of "He's slowly heading towards death." it'll likely be left open ended and we won't know when or if Touya dies, and that's almost worse by the way.
So, to sum up: If he was gonna die anyway, I'd rather he'd die in the war like Shigaraki and Toga did. Killing him off in this slow, painful, miserable way is a million times crueller. If he's going to live/planned to live, I'd rather he's not framed as the route of all the family problems and have all his trauma minimized. I'd prefer there was some kind of set up if he is going to live to imply he'd actually recover and have his victimhood acknowledged, his trauma worked through, and maybe be able to have some connection with his family even if it's from behind bars. ANY implication of this would've been nice, and no, imo "Whats your favorite food?" "Soba" "Oh me too" is NOT comfirmation of this. Tell us he's not slowly dying, tell us how crazy it is that he survived all that and that he seems to be somehow pulling through, tell us that there's a discharge plan like Tartarus or some kind of psych hospital for villains. If they're planning for him to live, give us some sort of actual set up because atm his ending is NOT hopeful, it's framed like this sick, unfair punishment by giving him everything he asked for in the wrong ways THEN killing him off.

Looking back at it, Toya's breakdown could've been avoided if Endeavor just give him a new mission to fill. Going "forget about it," is a pretty terrible way to cope with anything.
Like, Endeavor could've gone "I'll help you become a doctor, I'll need the best to help me" or "There are other ways to prove yourself, aim for top at your school."
Endeavor should tried re-directing Toya's ambition and self-worth, instead cutting tracks and telling him he'll never be enough.
While I do agree that yes redirecting touya's goal to be something more fitting and healthy for him should of happend like encouraging touya to be a doctor or to find a passion that he thoroughly enjoys, I think the most crucial part is that enji needed to be there for touya. Enji needed to notice touya, to care for him, to love him and that's something that enji admits he couldn't do because he probably didn't know how to. All enji knew what to do is to live through his children it's exactly why he tells Rei that he can't give touya any attention because the only attention he can give is that of showing touya a path of being a hero.
Touya mainly cared about his fathers love and attention not him actually being a hero. By being a hero and training to be the best hero (so his father can live his dreams through him) touya believed that this was the only way he could receive his father's love (something that he got a lot so when it was pulled away from him he cling to dear life to have it back) and it got even worse when touya found out the truth about his existence at the young age of 8 and started to believe that he was a discarded tool that his father didn't care for anymore (heck touya literally begins to question if this is something that all heroes do when he is talking to natsou)
In the end it was never about being a hero but it was about his fathers love and living up to the unimaginable and unattainable expectations that his father set up for him
