I think there's a not insignificant group of people (on here but also people who consider themselves "leftist") who are just so afraid of the word AI that they lose all sense of rationality. You know its a tool right? You know that a tool by itself isn't something bad? There are image generators out there and the creators have taken steps to make sure they only input art that people have approved. You can also, just in general, use unethically created tools ethically. Does that make gray areas? Yeah of fucking course. Is someone using DALL-E to make a wallpaper for their computer evil? I would say no cause why the fuck does it matter to anyone.

I just think there's still a high of being morally correct attacking all AI art because AI = Bad.

Its especially wild when I see people who get mad at disabled artists using it to simplify steps and stuff like that still.
