Of Yorse there's no 'right' answer WRT Blake's species in such continuities, but for yarns where she isn't humanoid I propose introducing the noble Blanticore. Similar 'humeface on animal body' charm, carnivore-loves-herd-beastie tension, and the tail sting makes for a neat Gambol substitute.

Oh wow, Blanticore sounds suitably cursed to be with Yorse! And that whole forbidden love aspect too, with predator and prey, although horses might not be Blanticore's natural prey.
