I had to endure a week of pure hell thanks to what Akamatsu did to me. And I WILL get my revenge on her.

Look I'm sure what happened isn't nearly bad enough to warrant this reaction so what did she do to you?

Me and Saihara got captured by some tentacle monster and Akamatsu managed to find us. She decided to save her boyfriend but left me at the mercy of that thing, who forced me to watch 100 seasons of Pupa while spanking me in the process.

100 times you have to watch Pupa? That's...quite bad actually.

But still maybe she didn't have a choice when she found you and Saihara, and she was always gonna prioritise someone who she has a emotional connection over. You know how close Akamatsu and Saihara are.

No she did have a choice. The creature told her it could release only one of us and she didn't even hesitate for a second when choosing Saihara. And then she went to claim I deserve this for how I behaved towards her.

I didn't even ask her that invasive of questions and haven't done anything to annoy her so what gives?

Maybe you should talk it out with Akamatsu? She was in a stressful situation and her boyfriend was targeted as well. Besides I'm sure she's had time to figure out what to say to you.

Nagi: (I should… brace myself.) 

Nagi: …… 

Nagi: …If I don’t hand out flowers, it rebounds. 

Momiji: Huh?

Nagi: The other side of the Yajirobe*. 

Momiji: Uh?

Nagi: This is just a theory of mine.

Momiji: O-Okay… 

Nagi: I believe that, just like with human emotions, if a person experiences great fortune or misfortune, then they will eventually have to return to a neutral state.

Momiji: Uh huh...?

Nagi: In my case, the rebound is especially strong. If I experience any fortune, then misfortune is sure to follow soon after. 

Nagi: That’s what happened when I got caught in that bee trap before; I’m sure it’s because I’d won a set of tissue boxes the day before, at a raffle in the shopping district.

Nagi: This is my theory on the phenomenon I call “The Yajirobe of Fortune and Misfortune.”

Momiji: I-I see... It’s like when people say bad luck doesn’t last forever, or how something good is bound to follow after something bad… Is it like that?

Nagi: …Are you a genius? I feel embarrassed for making up a whole theory now. I’ll just use your explanation next time.

Momiji: No, no, I understood what you were trying to say with your Yajirobe theory.

Nagi: …To avoid having the Yajirobe go crazy, I need to avoid any situation that might make me happy, intentionally or not. 

Nagi: Even a single slice of cake is too much for me. That sort of kindness… is too much happiness for me to bear. 

Momiji: (So he’s saying the cake made him so happy that he had to avoid accepting it, and even ran out of the dorm just so he could avoid inviting misfortune…)

Nagi: But sometimes, no matter how careful I am, the happiness just piles up anyways.

Nagi: That’s when I bring these out.

Momiji: Flowers…?

Nagi: My special ability– Flower Power: Imposed Blessings*.

Momiji: …Um?

Nagi: By imbuing flowers with the energy from my accumulated happiness, I can impose the excess onto others. There's no limit to how many flowers can be handed out. The only debuff I have to suffer is embarrassment.

Momiji: (Oh…)

Momiji: (Is that why he was handing out flowers in the middle of the street the first time I met him…?)

Momiji: (Honestly, I’m not sure how much of this I’m supposed to believe… But at the very least, I can tell Nagi-kun is being serious about this.)

Nagi: (It was just impossible for someone like me, who’s always avoided other people, to suddenly work with others and live alongside them.)

Nagi: (She probably thinks I’m a weirdo. It’s not something you can wrap your head around. It’s a natural reaction.)

Nagi: (I’ll just get myself fired right here and now, so I can return to my old lifestyle. A life with no big waves, just the mundane everyday.)

Momiji: I understand your situation now.

Nagi: …… 

Momiji: Can I have all your flowers, then? 

Nagi: …… 

Nagi: —Huh?

Momiji: You just have to reduce that, um, debt of happiness, by giving away your flowers, right?

Momiji: But it’s probably difficult for you to find people to give flowers to on a daily basis, huh?

Nagi: …Is that… where this conversation is supposed to go?

Momiji: I think so?

Momiji: Then um, maybe your costs increase because you have to give out more flowers?

Nagi: No, that’s not really a problem. I can get a good discount if I buy it in bulk, so… 

Momiji: I see. Then, it’s just a problem of who you can give your flowers to. Accosting strangers to give them flowers is probably taxing for you, and confusing for the other person too.

Momiji: But, since I know what’s going on, I can take as many flowers as you want to give away.

Nagi: I… I guess that makes sense. 

Nagi: Wouldn’t it be a bother to you…?

Momiji: Of course not. You can never have too many flowers! I mean, flowers give a feeling of a fresh beginning, you know? They’re always nice to have.

Nagi: …… 

Nagi: Here.

Momiji: Oh! A flower! Thank you very much. You popped that out like some kinda magician!

Nagi: …Flowers have always been a part of my life, before I’d even realized it. That’s why, it’s always there, right beside me, where I can reach for it whenever I want.

Momiji: Still, what a large flower! What’s it called?

Nagi: Peony.

Momiji: Aw, it’s so pretty! And it smells so good too!

Nagi: Next, this one.

Momiji: It has such a unique shape… What’s its name? 

Nagi: Serruria.

Momiji: It’s so peculiar and cute! I wonder what I should decorate with it…

Notes:

Yajirobe is a term used for Japanese balancing toys. The mechanism involves balancing the main body at a fulcrum and making sure it doesn’t tilt too far in either direction before it’s balanced again, swinging back like a pendulum.

The name of Nagi’s ‘special ability’ literally translates to “imposing happiness/good fortune onto others through giving away flowers” which is super long hence why it got changed. He’s the type to make up silly names anyways.

That demon... had been an especially cruel and conniving one. It must have known how important Kaede was to Chihiro... and why, at the perfect it could: swooped Kaede up and took her away. It was probably the most terrified she's ever felt in her life... in that scary, unfamiliar place wherever the demon took her, constantly taunting that he won't be able to save her. That she's going to die alone, and in pain.

But she refused to believe that; scared as she was, she didn't want to believe she was really going to die. She knows that Chihiro will save her. No matter how long it may take, he'll surely find her, and come for her... and just as she expected, he did. He found where she was being held, and saved her...

He could probably feel how much she was shaking, as he put that protective barrier around them. That demon truly terrified her... but now she was safe, she was okay. In his arms... and the moment he held her close like that, she finally broke down. "A...A-Aaa...! Waaaaah!!!" In a heartbeat, Kaede wraps her arms around him to return the hug just as tightly. Usually, she was never one to cry in front of others. In fact, this would be the first time he's ever seen her cry... but right now, she couldn't even try to hold it in. Out of relief, out of happiness, out of the hope she held in her heart the entire time she had been captured that he would come to save her: it all bubbled up in her, coming out through the tears and sobs she gives.

"U...Ueha....Chihiro!! Chihiro-kun!!" She calls out his first name... "I-I was....I was so scared....th-that demon, it....i-it kept saying th-that you weren't going to come...th-that you wouldn't make it on time....b-but I never believed it. I-I knew that....you would save me....I knew in my heart that Chihiro-kun would come for me...! I-I'm so happy....hhhhgghhhh...."

it’s 12 on the dot and kokichi takes him downstairs and he set up a whole sup-rise lil part for him. with relighting candles and everything. and shuichi just starts balling. because…

1. he never really had birthday party’s and never liked having them becausehe didn’t really have people to invite and his parents where just jerks who either forgot his birthday or sent a note, not even a call and it would just bring up hard feelings.

2. and if he did have birthdays it would just be kinda gloomy for him. just having his aunt and sometimes his uncle. he just thought it was kinda a waste and he didn’t want to bother people with telling them his bday.

anyway kokichi invites shuichis friends that came later because obviously kokichi wanted to be the one to get him. (and also got his uncle a day off ??LOLZ)

idk there's a lot of things to say about naoto, but, one thing that's a positive is that he's great with children. he takes time, patience, along with firm guidance teaching his own. the little headpats he gives to kaede to calm his son is endearing when one figures out; they're identical in looks.

"Shuichi!! There you are!" Kaede calls out to him the moment she sees Shuichi up ahead! Once she got his attention, the chef rushes up to him, beaming! "I was hoping to find you: Happy Birthday~! I hope you've been having a great day so far! I wanted to give you some gifts!"

Which would explain the gift bag around her wrist. She holds it out for him to accept. One of the first things inside was a dessert container, which held a homemade, mini red velvet cake. Then as for the gifts: a couple of mystery novels she remembers him saying he's really been wanting, a tea infuser tumbler with a Great Kanagawa wave design on it, paired with oolong and green tea packets, and a black pocket journal, to easily carry around. "Hehe, I hope you like everything, and will enjoy your cake~!" -ahogechef ! (AAH HOPE YOU DON'T MIND I WANTED TO SEND SOMETHING TO YOUR SHUICHI FROM MY CHEF!KAEDE!! BOTH OUR BABY BOYS DESERVE TO BE SPOILED, OKAY!!)

With things that were going on, Shuichi had almost forgotten what the day was! A small blush forms on his cheeks both as he realizes and that she remembered and thought to get him something, not that he would be surprised with how thoughtful she always was to everyone. 

“Ah, th-thank you so much, you didn’t h-” 

He cuts himself off with a gasp as he takes a look in the bag. The cake looked utterly delicious no surprise there everything she made seemed perfect to him, it being one of his all time favorite flavors, but along with the books? The tumbler along with the tea AND the journal??? 

“Oh my god… Kaede, you didn’t have to do this much, I… Thank you so much! This is absolutely perfect.” He sets the bag down and reaches out to give her a hug in thanks. “This was such a thoughtful gift, I-I’m really happy that you would go through the trouble.” 

He pulls away, still smiling at her. “Don’t worry, knowing you, I’ll definitely adore the cake, though… if you have the time, would you like to share a slice with me? I can make the two of us some tea to go with it, and we can catch up a little… o-only if you have the time, of course… you’ve already done so much, I-I wouldn’t want to take up too much of your time…”

Thinking about got makoto being a living god. Ooo the other protagonists are too. Kaede and shuichi being the smallest (I NEED YOU to think in GIANT sizes) at maybe mt Fuji size, komaru being in like mt McKinley and Hajime being in between the mt Kilimanjaro and mt Aconcagua perhaps? Makoto can hold earth in palm at his full size on earth though think Mount Everest size (junko is here too! Shes the Same size) His guards are Kyoko and byakuya obv they stand the height of mt Aconcagua.

Izuru is in this he’s the illegal little mini demi god hajime created because he wanted extra offerings. So he’s like in between high level (around 6000m) clouds and mid level clouds (around 2000m+). But I need you to understand he also this height so he his holdable in makoto’s hands do understand?
